Sean Penn just made history by winning his third Academy Award,
this time for best supporting actor in the film won battle after another at the 20.
26 Oscars.
The 65-year-old actor beat out tough competition from Benicio del Toro,
Jacob Allorty, Delroy Lindo, and Stellan Scarsguard,
becoming only the fourth man to snag three Oscars.
A presenter from Succession stepped up to accept the award on Penn's behalf, cracking a joke about whether he could not make it or just did not won.
