Steve Carell is praising his on-screen daughter, Charlie Clive, from the new HBO comedy
rooster.
He plays the lead Greg Russo, and during a press event in New York City on Tuesday, March 3rd,
he said he knew right away she was perfect for the role of Katie.
Carell called Clive, warm and a talented actor who was open to everything.
He also raved about the whole cast, including Danielle Deadwile.
Phil Dunster, John C. McGinley, and Laurence.
Noting their kindness and great.
Energy from the start.
Clive shared that she auditioned for what was then
an untitled Steve Carell project
and just had fun with her tape, thinking no one would see it.
She was shocked when showrunners Bill Warrens
and Matt Tarces called her along with Correll.
Corell explained he picks projects based on the people involved,
like Lawrence and Tarces, whom he admires a lot.
He jumped at the chance to work with them,
and other strong actors.
The showrunners say Corel is back to straight comedy and really funny in this one.
