William H. Macy stepped out with his daughter, Sophia, for a rare joint appearance at the South by Southwest Film Festival.
The father-daughter pair starred together in their new coming-of-age teen comedy called Brian, which premiered there on Sunday.
Dressed in casual chic styles, they flash big smiles on the red carpet and got close for photos.
Macy wore a muted blue button-down shirt under a green leather jacket,
with dark jeans. Sophia went comfy in distressed jeans, a beige-laced brawlet and a white tank top.
The 25-year-old Sophia is one of two daughters. Macy shares with his wife Felicity Huffman,
who is 63. Their other daughter, Georgia, is 23. The family kept a low profile after
Huffman's role in the 2019 college admission scandal, where she served 11 days in jail.
Macy later said it actually brought them closer. Macy skipped this year's Academy Award.
even though his recent film Trained Dreams picked up four nominations for Best Picture, adapted screenplay,
cinematography, and original song.

At the festival, Macy opened up about his strong opposition to real violence in modern movies,
calling it harmful to society.
