Hey, Rockstar Matt here from Epic Real Estate.

I'm going to show you a time-honored way of how to get what you want out of your real
estate investing.
So I just got off the phone with the client, which we've only been working together,
I don't know, a few months or so, and his business has completely turned around from one
to two deals a month to two to three deals a week.
I want you to hear how it happened.
And after you hear what he has to say and if you'd like some help to do the same,

Today I'm joined by actually one of my favorite students.
I really like this guy or he's a real badass.
He's become even a badder ass since we met.
I'll let him introduce himself.
Go ahead.
Hey, I'm Joshua Miller.
I'm from Pasadena, California.
California and I do real estate out in Omaha.
Super, Josh.
Glad that you were able to sit down with me for a second in your busy schedule.
I know you're out there in your market right now.
Share with us, what was it that you wanted to achieve or what was the big problem that you were facing when we first met?
Pretty much everything.
So I started in real estate back in August of 2016 and just thought I could do it all myself.
So I was somewhat successful, but I made just an insane amount of mistakes, and I kept
reinventing the will.
And I was so busy trying to make this all work that I eventually got to a point where
we're doing a bunch of deals, but we're losing more money than we were making.
So I realized I needed help.
Perfect.
So, I mean, what were you facing?
What was it going to mean for your actual real estate investing business if you
just kept going that direction. What would have happened? What would have meant to you personally as well?
Well, I wanted to retire. I still work a full-time job. You know, I never see my family working
my real estate and my business and my 401k job. I mean, what I wanted was financial freedom.
What I wanted was the time, you know, what everybody wants is the freedom and the time to do
what you really want to do. Yeah, it's so much the story, the job, the financial freedom,
the retirement, not seeing the family. It's a good. It's a good.
common story. So, you know, we start working together. What three parts of us working together
has had the biggest impact on your results now? Oh, wow. I mean, I think the biggest one is just
when I have a question, I can just come to you and you're on top of it. Like, I'll get an answer
within a few minutes. And that's just incredible, just, you know, knowing that I make the right
decision. And a lot of times, it's not big things. It's little things, but that's huge.
So that would be the first one.
I mean, just the creative ideas that you come up with, and it's not always you.
Sorry, it's like the people that you work with, Miguel and William and Josh.
I mean, these people are great.
And the mastermind meeting and those weekly calls, do you call them?
The follow-through call them?
The follow-through calls.
Yeah, those are just great because these creative ideas that I'm constantly learning.
It's just awesome to start implementing.
That's a lot.

So kind of bring this forward.
We haven't been working together that long, right?
Just, I mean, a few months, really.
What results have you achieved?
And how has that impacted your business and you personally now?
Oh, man.
So we went from losing money to making money, like dramatic amount money.
I mean, we were doing, you know, a deal or two a month.
And now we're doing two or three houses of the week.
and you know it's like i mean we're just talking a few minutes ago i've got great problems you know it's
like oh i got too many great deals what what do i do and you know it really i mean we moved out
uh july and now we're in uh october and you know we're we're doing so well just because we're
you know following following your advice really so it comes down to it so thank you man you bet you
said, you've been a pleasure to work with. I always say, people ask me, what does it take to
succeed? And I said, you know, there's really three things. You have to have, you know,
a big enough reason why to do it. You have to make that commitment to yourself. But then you
just have to be willing to follow instructions and ask questions when you get stuck. And, you know,
us working together has been no more complicated than that, right? Yeah, that's it. That's it.
Yeah, I get stuck a lot. I do get stuck a lot. So, yeah, I appreciate. Yeah, no, I mean,
everybody does. There's no way that, you know, anyone can create a system that's prepared for every
single scenario for every single person and every single market. So, you know, you get the foundation
and we walk you through that. We set up the systems and everything. And then, you know, we know you're
going to get stuck. That's why the support part of what we do is so important. We give you so many
avenues for that support. So you use it. And that's all I tell people to do. If you get stuck,
I don't know that you're stuck. You have to tell me that you're stuck and then we'll fix it.
Yeah, I think that's probably a reason why you've had your results so fast. So finish this for me.
I almost didn't join because.
Yeah, that's easy because I thought I could do it myself.
I thought, hey, I'm not stupid.
This real estate seems pretty simple.
But, you know, and that's it.
I thought I could just keep going and going and eventually I'd figure it out.
And that's true.
I think give me another 20 years and another million dollars loss, whatever.
I could have figured it out myself.
But, you know, this is a brainer.
Awesome.
So my favorite part of working with Epic is?
Oh, man.
I feel like I kind of answered that earlier.
But essentially what I needed was systems and a mentor and someone like,
like I think I even mentioned the first time I met you.
I needed a CEO of my company.
Like, you've been around, you know what to do, you know what not to do,
and all I have to do is copy it.
So, you know, sorry, I'm not doing like the three part, but that's it.
Like, I'm just copying everything you guys are doing.
And that's it.
Right.
So, yeah, I have to thank you actually for it because you had called it.
I just need a CEO for my business, right?
And I was like, huh, okay, let me think about that.
that. So we created something for you. And that's actually evolved into a virtual CEO service,
all thanks to you. So thanks for that. So thanks for that. Because there are people like yourself
who are doing deals. They do one, two deals a month. They're doing okay, but they want to get to that
next level. I mean, you're doing out two, three deals a week. They don't need to start from
scratch, right? They want that, you know, that person to contact and virtual CEO. I love the way it
sounds. Too bad the domain was gone. Great. So who would you recommend working with Epic and why?
Man, I mean, I'm 100% convinced you need a coach. You need a mentor. And Matt and Epic might not be
your person, but like, you agree with this, right? Every person needs a mentor. I think you have one too,
right? I have two of them right now that I pay a lot of money to, yeah.
I mean, you have to have it.
I mean, there's no question you're not going to succeed in this business unless you have someone like yourself.
So that's it.
So every single person who's serious about real estate investment, like don't try to learn it on your own.
You can get there in 20 years.
But if you really want to succeed and take it to the next level.
And I mean, for me, the most important thing is someone you can trust in somebody that, you know, knows has your back.
and that's you.
So that's what I'd say everybody.

So in just a few months time, Josh, he went from two deals a month to two deals a month
to two deals a week, from losing money to making money.
It's the object, right?
That's what we're supposed to do.
And so those are his results.
He's a great case study and simply just all he did was he created a plan,
we followed the instructions, and then he asked questions when he got stuck,
and then he just repeated that over and over.
So enough about these case studies that I've been sharing with you recently.
