the virus is trending on TikTok.
Vaccines are poison.
Then your yoga teacher says
that sex traffic children are being
sacrificed by satanic liberals,
but it's all okay.
The Great Awakening is coming.
What is happening?
Every week on Conspiratuality Podcast,
we explore the fever dreams that suck
friends, family, and wellness gurus
down the right-wing cult spiral
in a search for salvation.
Let me provide fair warning up front
that this episode is the longest episode in the podcast history for reasons that will become obvious.
And before I get into things, there is something that I need to address that may become an issue
for some of those who wish to pursue membership in the Completionist Club.
I'm calling it the E2K bug, although it really isn't a bug per se.
Now that we're past episode 2000, some podcast players have issues when encountering podcasts with
more than 2,000 episodes.
In particular, Apple Podcasts, which is far and away the most popular podcast player for people who listen to this show.
It will only serve up the 2,000 most recent episodes of a podcast.
Obviously, if you're using Apple Podcasts, which statistically speaking, 50% of you are,
this is going to be a problem if you are trying to listen to every episode.
I understand why Apple does this, because most shows with this many episodes are usually news shows that don't have evergreen content.
and the more episodes a show has, the larger the RSS file becomes.
So until this episode, episode 2001, goes up,
I won't know whether embedded episodes will function for episode number one.
If they do, everything will still be available on the website.
And if not, I'll find some way to make the earlier episodes available as they're not going anywhere.
I'll let you know of the solution soon, but suffice it to say,
all episodes will be available somehow.
Next order of business is that some of the very early episode,
the ones I recorded during the first six months of the show,
I am going to be redoing.
The sound quality of those early episodes was poor to be generous,
and the content was pretty scant.
So I'm going to be redoing both the scripts and the recording
to bring these episodes up to par.
I'm not going to be labeling these any different.
They're just going to appear in the feed.
and I'm not going to do them all at once.
There are far too many new episodes that I want to do.
And the next item on the agenda is that I've been talking about doing various things like selling merchandise for years and I've never done anything about it.
And the reason why everything gets put off is that my top priority every day is getting the next show at the door.
Well, now that I finally have some help with script writing a few times a week, I'll be able to work more on these other projects.
And I've actually started and I'll have some more information for you shortly.
So, with all of that out of the way,
2,000 episodes is a lot of episodes.
If you only take the content from each episode,
average 12 minutes per episode,
multiply that by 2000,
you get over 16 and a half days of straight audio content.
I estimate that I have written over 3 million words
writing scripts for every episode.
If you multiply the number of times episodes have been downloaded,
which is over 55 million at this point, that is 1,255 years of audio content.
When I started this podcast, I had no clue who would be listening.
I figured if I talked about the subjects that I found interesting,
that there would be other people out there that would find them interesting too.
Well, it turned out that a lot of people were just as curious about the world as I was.
I don't think that we are the majority, but it turns out there are a lot more
of us than I thought. None of you have to listen to this podcast, yet you do. Completion is
club aside, you don't get a degree or a certificate for listening. Many people, dare I say,
most people, attend college for a degree and don't really care about learning. They take blow-off
classes and take useless majors in order to take the easiest path. But all of you are willing to
take the time to learn without any expectation or reward other than knowledge itself. And whether or not
you know it. That is a very rare thing in this world. I want to give a big thanks to all of you who
listen. Every day, I am amazed that there are people who not only listen to every show, but in some
cases have listened to every show two, three, and in some rare cases, even four times. All of you
allow me to have the greatest job in the world, where I can learn about whatever I'm interested in
and share it with everyone else.
Now, I promised that I would give this episode over to you, the listeners, and I got to admit I was surprised by the response I got.
So the rest of this episode will be your messages that you shared with me.
Thank you all very, very much for your support over the last 2,000 episodes, and I'll talk to you tomorrow.
Gary, to quote a famous philosopher adapted to this situation.
as my old papi used to say, remember the first 2000 are always the hardest.
Well done and keep playing. Cheers.
So, J.K., this is still your fault.
You recommended everything everywhere daily like it was just a quick daily listen.
And now I'm dropping fun facts in meetings like it's a personality trait.
Congratulations, Gary, on episode 2000.
And J.K., I'm sending you the bill for my newly inflated confidence.
Hey, Gary, Melissa here. Thank you for the podcast. It's amazing every day to get a little bit of science or history.
I'm 55, and I feel like time is limited to learn about this amazing world we live in.
So thank you for the inspiration to dive deep into new books, new travel. And thanks for the hard work every day.
Hi Gary, I'm a psychologist and in January 2023 I was looking for a podcast that I could listen to in the car with my young children.
Given how emotionally draining my work is, I wanted a podcast that was intellectually stimulating but not emotionally intense.
I found everything everywhere daily, which has helped me keep my sanity.
Since it was January when I found it, I thought to myself that I could make listening to all the episodes my New Year's resolution.
Fast forward two years, and I still haven't made it into the Completionist Club yet, although I think 2026 will be my year.
Thank you for making a podcast that is engaging, but not draining.
Gary, Kevin O'Keefe, long-time listener, first-time caller, congratulations on the 2000s episode.
Gary, not to be over the top here, but you think about what makes life worth living, to live, to love, to
inspire. I'm an educator. But I cannot tell you, when you are curious and you love learning,
there's nothing better than 15 minutes each day that we all look forward to, something new to
learn, something new to become knowledgeable about, continue the great work. And by the way,
Des Bryant, he did catch that ball. Hey, Gary, how are you? Alex Lander here, Lander's
your friend from Michigan.
Congratulations for the
2000 episode. So happy
for you. I'm very grateful
for all the amazing knowledge
I learned from the show. I will never
forget for the first time
when I was driving to a trade show in Las
Vegas, so bored
on the desert road,
on the way there.
And I found your podcast
by chance. And I start
listen to it.
And since then,
I'm a big fan, been to your party.
Love it. Love the show. You're a great guy.
Thank you for everything.
Looking forward for more episodes.
Hey, Gary. This is May Dingman, probably broadcasting from the Olympic Peninsula Clubhouse.
My son and I stumbled across your podcast back in 2020 when he was only five years old.
We quickly adopted a new bedtime ritual of listening nightly.
Today, he is a homeschooler.
Not only does he need your episodes to fall asleep still to this day,
we also lean heavily on them as a resource in his education.
I am finding that it doubly fulfills my thirst for knowledge,
filling in those gaps from my public school time.
Learning is a lifelong quest.
We are forever grateful to you, Gary.
Congratulations on 2,000 episodes,
and may we look forward to thousands more.
Hello, my name is Malcolm Stridefeld.
I'm autistic, and I have been listening to Everything Everywhere Daily since June 12,
2023 with the Gunung Pradesh episode.
I am an anthropology major at Rhode Island College and a environmental studies minor.
I discovered this podcast accidentally while looking for,
while looking for more ways to get engaged with that type of media.
I was just kind of randomly browsing the Apple store when I accidentally came across this one,
and I had never heard of Gunnang Pradesh, so it interested me.
So I decided to check it out.
Since then, everything ever daily has become a huge part of my life,
especially because it fuels my natural curiosity about everything in the world.
And the host, Gary Arndon, is one of my heroes,
and I hope one day I can travel the world like him.
And I always look forward to writing poetry on what I hear every morning.
So thank you.
All of a sudden congratulations once you hit 20,000.
Just kidding.
Great job.
I was just searching up great podcasts and found everything everywhere daily.
Here's to 2,000 more, Gary.
Hey, Gary.
This is Scott Jones from Tampa.
I think an interesting episode would be Eminent Domain.
It's history and how it's viewed in the United States and major Supreme Court cases.
Thanks. Love with your show.
I don't remember when I discovered your podcast, Gary, but I'm glad that I did every single day.
Refreshing, invigorating, full of knowledge, and never pretentious.
You're the podcast that I compare all other podcasts to.
Thank you for what you do, and I wish you another 2,000 episodes on your podcast.
Congratulations.
And thank you.
Hi, Gary.
I'm Ron Johnson.
When I was in college, they said it was impossible to study everything, everywhere,
and if I wanted to learn about anything very well, I'd have to devote four years to it.
Now, here you are offering detailed information on just about anything I'd like to learn every morning before breakfast.
Thank you, Gary, for doing the impossible every day.
I first started listening to Everything Everywhere two or three years ago when I was a middle school social studies teacher.
I would Google podcast about the subjects I was teaching, and invariably, Gary would have a podcast on that subject.
So I used everything everywhere to educate not only myself, but also my students.
When I heard about the Completionist Club, of course, I had to go back to the beginning and listen to all of the episodes.
and my life has been richer and fuller because of it.
I've learned about things that sometimes I didn't even know existed.
And even when they're complicated subjects like science or math, which are not my forte,
I still listen to all of it and I still pick up some nugget of wisdom.
So thank you, Gary, for all that you do.
I am happy to be a part of the Facebook community also and be in company with such curious
and eager to learn like-minded people.
great job keep it up please
Hi Gary
my name is Dan Levec
I'm from Ottawa Canada and a member of the
Completionist Club for your
2001 episode I would suggest that you
talk about obviously the movie
A Space Odyssey 2001 by
Stanley Cubert
Happy holidays
I don't know how I first came across
everything everywhere daily
it was early 2022
but I do remember
is just being super connected to the podcast
Finally, a little bit of knowledge I could take every day that wasn't too much, wasn't too little, but was just the right amount of information to learn about a new subject.
And I could always dive deeper to learn more.
Hey, Gary and hello podcast. My name is Kawan Das Santos.
And I was first introduced to this podcast by my girlfriend. She's a huge fan of this podcast. Shout out, Kylie.
I just want to know, I have all 2,000 episodes.
what was your favorite one to research and podcast about?
Thank you.
Hello, Gary.
Greetings here from Ecuador.
This is Ricardo.
Just wanted to congratulate you on the podcast, not yet a completionist.
I wanted to tell you a quick story, unfortunately.
My father passed several months ago.
But this podcast was a huge link between us.
I would share episodes that I knew he would like.
He was history above geography, just general knowledge.
So this podcast was great.
and short enough to not getting bored.
So thank you for that.
That will be a bond that I will have with him and thanks to you.
So keep you in your thing.
Give us some Ecuador, Colombia episodes.
I know you've traveled a lot, so thanks a lot.
Take care.
Gail, Gary.
It's Carl from the Perth Completionist Club.
I'm sure you're the king of pub trivia,
so I thought I'd share a little bit of trivia for you that I'm sure nobody else cares about.
I'm currently in a town in the West Australian coal fields called Collie.
It's a coal mining town, obviously, but it's actually named after the river Collie,
which was named after a person, Alexander Collie.
Nothing to do with coal whatsoever.
Anyway, cheers for 2,000 episodes, mate.
Have a good one.
Hi, Gary.
This is Josh from Dallas, Texas, and a card-carrying member of the Dallas chapter of the Completionist Club.
I actually discovered your podcast back in 2022 from an ad,
from my podcast app, Overcast, and I've been an avid listener ever since.
You and I may not agree on which football team is the best in the world,
but we can both agree that learning can be fun.
Keep up the good work, and I hope that we have a great year coming up in 2026.
Hello, Gary.
I'm Sebastian Solis.
I live in San Antonio, Texas, and I first came across your podcast when my mom introduced me to it,
We first listened to the episode about Canadian geography last year.
I liked it.
It was really funny.
And I used to be part of the Completionist Club, but I fell back.
But I'm trying really hard to get back in.
I love your podcast.
And I'd really like it if you put this on the 2001st episode.
Please give my warmest regards to everybody who is part of the Completionish Club.
And yeah, I really like your podcast.
Never stop doing it.
Hi, Gary. This is Josh Gazo here in Virginia's Blue Ridge.
I started listening to Everything Everywhere Daily sometime in 2021.
I am a hospital-based physician, and through the darker days of the pandemic,
your podcast helped expand my curiosity through those challenging times
and helped me remember that there was still a big wide world outside.
I am a proud four-time completionist club member,
which based on your most recent classification,
falls under the, quote, seek professional help, end quote, badge.
I wear it proudly.
For my third and fourth trips through the catalog,
I started and finished with my favorite episode,
the Cannonball Run.
It works on a few levels,
in that it's both the beginning and the end of a long journey,
as well as the unique circumstances associated with the pandemic
that mean the current records for the coast-to-coast race may never be broken.
Thank you for all you do,
and here's to many, many more episodes.
Hey, Gary, thank you for all your great episodes.
But around traveling or in conversation with friends or colleagues,
your little tips of information have always given me such an advantage.
Plus, you got me interested in the topics I would otherwise never think about.
You inspire me and threw me my students to stay curious.
So thanks a lot.
Keep up the good work.
And I'll keep listening from Holland for the 2000 or 4,000 episodes.
Hey, Gary, this is Bob.
I live in Rogers, Arkansas.
I heard about your podcast when I was listening to a podcast from your good buddy, Chris Christensen.
So he said he was hooked.
I started listening.
Now I'm hooked.
I'm not a member of the Completionist Club, but I've probably listened to over 90% of your podcast.
And I just enjoy it so much.
So Merry Christmas, happy new year.
And good luck with the third millennium of the podcast.
Goodbye.
Hi.
My name is Eliza.
And I'm 12 years old.
I've been listening to the podcast for four years.
I love listening to the podcast with my mom, my dad, and my little sister, Nellie, who is nine.
It is so awesome that you've been able to record 2,000 episodes.
Every single episode is so amazing, and I love learning about the world,
about all of the history, the culture, and the scientific facts.
I hope you're able to record another 2,000 episodes.
Thank you for making such an amazing podcast.
that I hope everyone in the world is able to enjoy.
A toast from France.
Hi, Gary.
Marcus Bruchier.
I'm not entirely sure how I found everything everywhere daily,
probably Mike Duncan's revolutions,
but I am so glad I did.
Believe I might be the first member of the Completionist Club in France,
Department 71.
We'll set you up an official clubhouse at Close DeVusho.
On your first visit, a covered d'astement awaits you.
This is Barnum the best podcast on the planet, highly addictive, endlessly educational, and an absolute joy.
Sante from the Burgundy.
Hi, Gary, my name's Caleb. I'm a high school senior.
I live in northern Idaho, and I wanted to let you know what a big fan I am of the show.
I've been listening for a couple years now.
And I usually listen.
I mow lawns in my neighborhood, and I pick up leaves in the fall and I snow blow in the winter.
And that's always my favorite time to turn on the show.
I'm sorry, if I'm a little out of breath right now, I was on a run with my dog,
because that's another time that I usually listen.
And I just wanted you to know that the random knowledge has also been very, very helpful.
I'm on my school's scholastics team.
I'm on varsity one, and it's basically like a knowledgeable trivia competition.
And Idaho, we don't have our own league, so we go over to Spokane across the border in Washington
to show all the big city schools and private schools, what's what.
And right now my team is actually in first place for the first time in our school's history.
And I think you were a pretty big part of that.
So I just wanted to tell you thank you.
Lots of love from North Idaho.
Yeah, thanks, man.
Merry Christmas.
Marty Ryan, Franklin, Massachusetts, USA. Thank you, Gary. Everything Everywhere Daily is my favorite podcast. I love the wide variety of topics covered. Keep up the great work. Thanks.
Hi, my name is Will Casey, though it might appear as Emily Casey. I am 13 years old. I'm from Merrick, Virginia, and I discovered this podcast from my neighbor and dad. And I hope to soon be in the Completionist Club.
Hi, I'm Sorin from Canada and I came across your podcast from hearing an ad for it on my other podcast.
I really like listening to it every day and learning about the world. Thank you. Please keep making it.
Hi, Gary. David from Flanders here. We love your show here back over in Belgium. I have been listening to your show for a few years by now and convinced my wife.
who is from Costa Rica to also listen to you.
We are a very proud part of your curiosity of listeners.
Keep on the wonderful work.
Thank you.
Bye.
Hi, Gary.
Ross from West Seattle.
Congratulations on your milestone.
And just thank you for all that you do with research and sharing information.
And I think this is so important to make our world a better place.
Hi, Gary, my name is Luke Walrath. I'm originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin,
joining the Completionist Club in Whitefish, Montana, and now live in Los Angeles, California.
I once snuck into the Packers' locker room to meet Brett Fav and Reggie White,
and your podcast is the highlight of my day. Congratulations on 2000. Stay curious.
Hi, Gary. This is Jacob from San Antonio, Texas. I discovered your podcast last year from my brother's
endorsement. I was reluctant to start a new show in my podcast lineup, but after a few episodes, I was hooked.
Next thing I know, I beat my brother to the completionist club. We love the work you do. Keep it up.
Looking forward to the next 1,000 episodes and beyond.
Hi, Gary, this is Dan in San Diego. Congratulations on episode 2000.
The early show that I have saved is on the Anacom Deasert in 2020.
but I'm sure that I started listening before then.
I'll probably heard about your show from Christensen on the Ambiture Traveler.
Well, if you keep producing, I'll keep listening.
Bye.
Hello, my name is Most People Penguin.
I'm 14 years old living in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Much of the annoyance of my parents,
this podcast is usually on within five minutes upon me waking up.
Finding other curious people has been amazing,
and now thanks to Gary,
I get to listen to a wide variety of topics.
topics each day. I've never liked choosing just one interest, so getting a chance to dive a little
into so many topics is amazing, and often fuels further research and curiosity. Thanks to Gary,
I get smarter every day and get an opportunity to teach something to the people around me as well.
Thanks, Gary. Hello, Gary. Chuck Tomasi here from Phoenix, Arizona, formerly from your neighborhood
in Appleton, Wisconsin. I've been podcasting since 2004 and co-author of Podcasting for Dummies, and I'm
sending my congratulations on reaching 2,000 episodes. You are in rare space with that many episodes,
my friend. I started listening to everything everywhere daily about three years ago when my wife
introduced me to your show and I haven't stopped listening since. It's one of the first things I
listen to each morning. We do get back to Appleton from time to time and the next time we do,
I'll be sure to let you know we're coming. I'd love to buy you a beverage of your choice.
Again, congratulations and keep up the great work.
Hi, Gary. My name is Jay Welsh, and I live in Chicagoland. I've been listening to the Everything Everywhere podcast for probably about two and a half, three years and was lucky enough to join the Completionist Club July 15th of 2025. I believe it was the episode on Vilhelm Canaris.
Keep up the great work. I love the podcast. It's like.
Like, I was listening to it in the morning right around the time I'm having a cup of coffee.
And it's just part of my day, every day.
Be well and keep up the great work.
Hi, Gary.
I'm Elizabeth Brennan from Houston, Texas.
I started listening about three years ago because Spotify recommended it.
And now I listen every morning before my kids wake up.
Thanks for all you do.
Hey, Gary.
This is Alex from Sunny San Diego.
I heard about your podcast through an ad on another show, so I'm still working my way to the completion club.
As an aside, I keep a blog on space law as a side hobby, so I always look forward to any episodes you do related to outer space.
Keep up the stellar work.
Hey, Gary, this is Rob, an American diplomat calling in from North Africa to congratulate you on reaching 2,000 episodes.
I began listening about three years ago after going down to Google Rabbit Hole.
on podcasts that would help me to learn something new every day. And ever since then, everything
everywhere daily has been a part of my daily routine. So congratulations on 2000 and happy holidays.
Hey Gary, Daniel Rosenberg here from Austin, Texas. I first found your show back in late
2023 while looking for something to listen to with my son during bedtime. And once I started
listening to some of the episodes, I knew I had to join the Completionist Club, which I did earlier
this year. My favorite episode is the one on the Leonid's Meteor Shower.
in particular because it occurs on November 17th, which is my wife's birthday.
So now we have one more thing to look forward to every year.
Really appreciate all the good work.
Thank you.
Keep it up.
Good evening.
My name is Glenn Fellow from Auckland, New Zealand.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish Gary and the Everything Everywhere daily listenership
a wonderful and amazing 2006.
I first came across the podcast during our first COVID lockdown in 2020.
and my favorite episodes would have to be the episode on Polynesian Explorers,
an episode which is close to my heart,
and also the language of Shakespeare.
And just as an aside, thanks to Gary,
I have now settled on a team to support in the NFL.
Cheers.
Hey, Gary, I'm a pretty much completionist,
dendrochronologist from the Ozark Plateau.
Let me thank you on behalf of the scientific community and your excellent use of Earth systems, science principles to underpin hundreds of your episodes.
I enjoy when you link episodes together as a continual line of learning.
One interesting link is between the dendrochronology of bald cypress trees and the disappearance of the ronoh colonists.
My father used bald cypress tree rings to reconstruct severe drought during the time the
colonists were left to fin for themselves.
First heard about the podcast on the amateur traveler.
Thanks, Gary.
The executive producer of Everything Everywhere Daily is Charles Daniel.
The associate producers are Austin Otkin and Cameron Kiefer.
My big thanks go to everyone who supports the show over on Patreon.
your support helps make this podcast possible.
And I also want to remind everyone about the community groups on Facebook and Discord.
That's where everything happens that's outside the podcast.
And links to those are available in the show notes.
As always, if you leave a review on any major podcast app or in the above community groups,
you two can have it read in the show.
