We're talking players that are turning heads in a positive way at NFL Mandatory Minicamp.
Mandatory minicamps are popping off this week.
There's a lot of news coming at us, a lot of like coach speak, a lot of beat reporter speak.
Some players that we were not anticipating seeing at Mandatory Minicamp are working out on the sideline.
Some positivity with injuries, just a whole lot of like news dumps for us when we've been waiting for this sort of thing.
So we got it from OTAs, and now we're getting it in a major way from NFL mandatory mini camps.
Shout out to everybody who supported my Nix last night.
Nixon 5 Energy is back.
Everybody's dragging a little bit, but what a game.
Hopefully we have that same energy on today's show.
Big shout out to the live chat.
I see Nikki Banks in here.
I see Matt.
I see Matt Carmody.
A ton of people that I'm seeing literally every single day supporting this channel.
We are so close to 25,000 YouTube subs.
and a big shout-out to everybody who supported the growth of Fantasy Football Daily podcast this year as well.
We're going to jump right into it.
Got to start talking Brian Thomas Jr.
And there's been so much positivity on this channel when it comes to Parker Washington.
And this is not a negative to Parker Washington whatsoever.
You're talking about players that are valued in the sixth and the seventh round of draft.
So you're talking about BTJ and you're talking about Parker Washington.
everybody's sort of enthusiastic for a Trevor Lawrence, not necessarily a breakthrough.
He breakthrough last year, but Trevor Lawrence becoming more of a consistent fantasy football
weapon and edge pick and drafts this year.
There's not a whole lot of negativity with Trevor Lawrence.
There's not a whole lot of negativity when it comes to Liam Cohen.
So for me, why can't both of these guys succeed?
They don't have overlapping skill sets.
They're going to have different roles.
but out of Jacksonville, the vibes right now with Brian Thomas Jr. are immaculate.
Everybody is on this train.
We even saw Bachel Tutin hyping him up after practice yesterday.
Bachel Tutin said, and Bachel Tudin we could have put on this list,
one of the coolest quotes we saw yesterday was Bachel Tuton saying that his 40 time has improved.
And the guy that would give him the biggest problem in terms of like a race on Jacksonville would be Brian Thomas Jr.
Everybody's talking about the speed.
Everyone's talking about the explosiveness.
And I know some of you don't want to hear positivity with BTJ.
BTJ burned a lot of people last year.
Burned a lot of people in Dynasty,
burned a lot of people in redraft,
was drafted at the 1-2 turn last year,
and now has fallen all the way down to the seventh round.
Late sixth round for some of you,
but we're seventh round for many of you.
And when we look at BTJ, it's pretty easy to figure out why.
When you go from catching 87-5,000,
passes for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns as a rookie.
And then you drop down to the 48 catches for 707 yards and two touchdowns in 2025,
like really, really ugly stuff in terms of the regression we saw.
But then we talk about BTJ last year sort of playing hurt, playing through some things,
being very uncomfortable out there.
I'm very open-minded to a year three bounce back season and BTJ delivering value as a
post-hype sleeper.
So you see, if you're watching this on YouTube, we're showing highlights.
BTJ had a 41-yard reception downfield.
Liam Cohen really talked him up yesterday.
Some really positive quotes in terms of coach speak.
Basically, he said that it's the confidence of the connection in chemistry that their building is real.
He's talking about Trevor Lawrence with Brian Thomas Jr.
and he talks about the standards, which he wanted to improve on.
So it's just, it's just nothing but positivity here.
He mentioned Grant Udinski, the offensive coordinator.
He mentioned Edgar Bennett, the receivers coach.
Like everyone's sort of locked in on BTJ delivering value this year.
And if we look at Jacksonville collectively, like, why can't it be BTJ?
We saw it yesterday, like made two big downfield catches.
We talked about the 41-yarder, actively involved inside.
the red zone during drills.
I think that there's a couple people in the chat that are a little bit apprehensive about
this one, but then there's other people in the chat who are saying that I can see it.
And then, you know, when we talk about one of the biggest question marks with BTJ is we saw
a lot of his positivity as a rookie when he was associated with Mack Jones.
And I think that's maybe the best argument where can Trevor Lawrence support a receiver like
this?
You think of the receivers that have thrived with Trevor Lawrence.
You look at Parker Washington down the stretch last year.
You look at Christian Kirk.
You look at Calvin Ridley, who was a locked-in wide receiver two.
Kirk was a borderline wide receiver one.
And then you look at Evan Ingraham, who had one of the most prolific seasons in the history of the league in terms of catches by a tight end, where he was really playing slot wide receiver and they just parked him in there.
and he was thriving with Trevor Lawrence.
BTJ is different than that.
BTJ is a big outside alpha threat.
I do think that there's a chance that we've seen Trevor Lawrence improve,
and I do think when it comes to offensive minds in the league,
I defer to Liam Cohn as one of the guys that I think is super sharp.
So I'm willing to believe in this one.
And when we talk about Parker Washington or Brian Thomas Jr.,
I don't think you have to choose one or the other.
I don't think that's a cop out.
people love when you are extremely high on one guy and extremely low on the other.
And we speak in extremes in fantasy football.
You're not going to find that on this channel.
I think I'm open-minded to range of outcomes and guys who have a chance to really thrive
and potentially just sort of hit their ADP.
And I think BTJ's price to do just that.
I had a couple people yesterday.
I'm at the OG fantasy on X.
and a couple of people who I respect who do projections and rankings,
Bradley Stalder, who does it over player profiler,
was sort of questioning this one.
And he said, you know, I see BTJ's wide receiver 34.
I only have him as wide receiver 31.
And my question to the people like Chris Wecht, Bradley Stalder,
people who I respect who do projections is,
what if you're wrong by 15%?
Not wrong in the extreme level,
but BTJ just has two more spike weeks.
Then you're talking about a guy who delivers.
So I'm very open-minded to this one.
We have a super chat question.
Struggling to pick in the sixth round out of Watson and BTJ.
I'm Christian Watson right now over Brian Thomas Jr.
But I think they're both very good picks.
And I'm seeing BTJ going behind Christian Watson.
We've seen Watson rise up to like the fifth round in FFPC league.
So BTJ, I'm completely open-minded to it.
I think this is a player that we need to monitor all off-season long.
But right now, if we get back to being.
fully healthy. And again, I'll remind you, this is not some theoretical asset in fantasy.
This is a player that we saw put up 87 catches, nearly 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns as a
rookie, delivered top six wide receiver numbers as a rookie, falls off in year two. What is he?
Is he closer to rookie year, BTJ? Or was that just the, or did he just run unbelievably pure
and thrive with Mack Jones? Or is he this guy that falls?
fell apart last year and he's suddenly going to be number three in the pecking order to guys like
Parker Washington, maybe Jacoby Myers. Could we split the difference here? Could we look at a guy who
has 70 catches for 1,000 or maybe 1100 yards and six or seven touchdown catches? If he does
that, he's a smash value at his current ADP. So I am very much into BTJ. We're going to keep an eye on him
throughout mandatory minicamp. The next players we want to talk about we're getting some clarity here out of
And we're looking at this team as a source of fantasy football value, not just with Jaden Daniels.
Jaden Daniels is about as locked in as it gets at the quarterback position, but you're paying a premium
price tag for him.
But when you start trying to extract value from Washington, it sort of begins and ends with Terry
McLaren.
And we got some positivity on the beat reporter side and we've had positivity on the coach
speak side this off season. David Blow at the opening press conference talked about how we want to
target Terry McLaurin 10 times every single game. Everything's going to run through Terry McLaren.
Then we're getting some beat reporters speak where they're talking about Terry McLaren running a
more varied route tree in 2026. You look back at like the Cliff Kingsbury offense where
McLaurin would continually line up on like one side of the field. It was like people who chart this
sort of thing, we're sort of like dumbfounded by why he wasn't moved around, even in his
smash season in 2024.
I think with David Blow, we're really going to see it.
And when we look at Terry McLaurin, he's been a player that's been consistently good for
fantasy football, then had a great season in 2024 where he had the most touchdown catches
in commanders slash Redskins history as a franchise.
I think we're back for a really, really strong year.
but I don't think that the driver of McLaurin is going to continue to be receiving yards.
It's going to continue to be receiving touchdowns.
But I do think there's some insulation in the floor this year with the lower ADOT looks,
getting some of these easy button targets to him, really running things through him and getting the ball in his hands.
If there's anything that David Blow took over from Detroit, maybe it's a little bit of the Amon-Ross-St. Brown type stuff.
And even if it's a little bit mixed in with what we've seen from McLaurin,
you could be talking about a career high in targets for him this year.
He's really locked in,
especially when we look at the competition that he has at the wide receiver two position in Washington,
where we're sort of like kind of like sifting through
and trying to make narratives for guys like Antonio Williams,
who could be pretty good, had some positive reports coming out as well.
But you're talking about a third round rookie as probably his biggest target competition.
So I'm absolutely on Terry McLaurin this year.
I think you should be as well.
I think his ADP should actually move up a little bit.
And it's funny to me, we talk about BCJ being a post-type sleeper.
Last year it was in FFPC main events on Underdog and an NFFC.
All these people were building Jaden Daniels, Terry McLaren, correlation.
That was like the thing to do.
There were so many Jaden Daniels, Terry McLaren teams that were blown up in all three formats
and certainly on ESPN and Sleeper
and everywhere else you play fantasy football as well.
But this year, that correlation play is cheap.
And you can get access to the number one pass catcher
and a quarterback with Spike Week ability pretty cheap.
So if you're playing best ball,
how could you not have a little bit of Terry McLaurin
mixed in with Jaden Daniels?
Other Washington commanders were getting positivity out of,
how about Rashad White?
And I compared Rashad White.
I said he could be this year's version of Kenneth Gainwell
with a much bigger touchdown ceiling.
And when we look at Rashad White,
it's been a player that I think the fantasy community
never really embraced.
Certainly we saw it when there was like the Bucky Irving takeover
where Bucky Irving, people were just so excited
for Bucky Irving to take that job.
And Bucky Irving was electric over the second half
of his rookie season.
And to the detriment of Rishad White,
he certainly beat up Rishad White
when it came to the dynasty value, the redraft value,
all that stuff.
we saw it. But when you look at Rashad White from a bird's eye view, Rashad White has had four
seasons with at least 50 catches in his NFL career. And two out of the last three years,
he's had nine touchdowns. So he's an efficient runner around the goal line. And he's a very good
pass catcher. And he's also a very good pass blocker. The biggest competition that he has in the
Washington backfield is Jacori Kroski Merritt, who counting stats last year, JCP, delivered
for us. If we drafted JCM in the 18th round of best balls like we were telling you to do last year
and we were taking them in the fourth, fifth round of rookie drafts, you got value out of JCM.
But Rashad White has the most seasoned veteran in this Washington backfield.
And I think you're going to see it this year.
We talk about the secondary pass catchers.
I would be very surprised if Rashad White doesn't deliver a 50 catch season.
And shout out to Zane, another great follow for you on X.
make sure you're following me on X, make sure you're following Ryan Heath, but also follow
Zane. Zane is dropping great stuff over here, every day kind of reporting on this stuff.
And he says there was a report in ESPN. You can read this article over at ESPN, saying that the
commanders added Rashad White to play a role that was similar to Austin Echler. Now, different
coordinators, obviously, but Echler was delivering that year. And if he simply puts up Austin Echler
numbers, then Rashad White's going to deliver at his cost. But I think
there's more room to run. People have compared him to this year's
Giovante Williams. I don't know if I'm going to go to that extreme. I
certainly don't think the volume that will be there. I think Kenneth
Gainwell is a better comparison where Rashad White will deliver
with receiving touch receptions and also Rashad White I think can be a guy
who falls in the end zone a couple times. So really a smash value at his
current ADP you can get him in the ninth round right now over at FFPC main
events and he's living somewhere around running back 37, running back 38 range in most
formats.
So Rashad White, some real positivity.
The beat reporter is all over his past catching role.
Also some positivity when it comes to Chig Akankwo.
Sounds like Chig is going to be what we think he's going to be, a player with a chance
to have career numbers.
Now, does that translate into a guy that's going to be in your starting lineup for
fantasy?
I'm not sure, but it's another player that I want to have access to.
the one player to keep an eye on with Washington
that could sort of throw everything for a loop
is Stefan Diggs. Diggs is from the DMV
Diggs went to Good Counsel High School
that's in Montgomery County
and if you are from that area
you know that the Washington commanders
are playing in PG County.
So like you go Good Counsel High School
to land over where the Washington commanders play
that's a really short drive.
This would be a true homecoming.
Both of the Diggs brothers
have been associated with the commanders.
I think if Stefan Diggs ends up being on Washington,
he sort of nukes the narrative for a guy like Chig
to deliver in a huge way
and really, really hurts Antonio Williams' outlook.
But until that happens, keep clicking that button.
But Terry McLaurin, Rashad White, Jaden Daniel Stacks,
go and get some for sure.
Keeping the conversation going.
So many guys we could talk about,
but the next guy we're going to talk about is Quinn Sean Judkins.
And Quinn Sean Judkins, the vibes are immaculate.
We were worried about Quinshon Judkins missing time and Quinshon Judkins being slow out the gate.
We sort of had like a slow drip of positive news with Quinshon Judkins that's become like a drumbeat and become a signal for us.
Where Judkins now, this is a player that I think can very much deliver.
He's being drafted sort of as a low end RB2.
And I think a lot of that is the negativity surrounding the Cleveland Brown's offense.
And I get it.
It's really hard to embrace an offense with a quarterback competition that involves Deshawn Watson.
But when you look at Todd Munkin, this has been a guy that's consistently got results for fantasy football.
Judkins looks explosive.
He looks elusive.
And he's completely participating in everything.
Mandatory minicamp, OTAs, there's no slow playing this guy.
And when we look at Judkins, I mean, he had several weeks last year that were incredibly impressive.
I know the yards per carry were very low.
3.6 yards per carry is something that we will need to see improve if he's going to deliver, even at his cost.
But in 14 games played, he managed seven touchdowns, only 26 receptions, but 827 yards.
So he had 230 rush attempts last year in 14 games to go along with 26 receptions.
That's 256 touches in 14 games.
So Judkins, I think they view as a true Belkow workhorse, can.
Cleveland be a little bit better offensively and give Judkins a platform where he can fall in
the end zone maybe a little bit more than expectation? And then you also talk about shout out
to the chat here. Drastic offensive line overhaul in Cleveland. Absolutely. Cleveland attacked the
offensive line throughout free agency and then in the NFL draft as well. Like they went all in
on fixing their offensive line. That was a huge priority of theirs. And I think people are way
more interested in talking about the quarterbacks than talking about how good this
offensive line can be. This could be one of the most improved offensive lines in football this
year. Spencer Fanon, this was really, I mean, this is a team where this is a team where they really
needed to add offensive linemen, and they did it in a major way. And when we talk about,
when we talk about the players that they were able to add, they add Spencer Fanon, arguably the best
offensive linemen in this draft class, and then a multitude of free agent linemen as well.
There's going to be a number of new starters there, and if that offensive line clicks in a major
way, I think Judkins could deliver. But Judkins is not the only Cleveland Brown that's sort of
turning heads at camp. We've been all in on Casey Concepcion throughout Dynasty season,
and Casey had some plays yesterday where he was really flashing for sure. But it's been Denzel Boston
that's been the guy with better early vibes.
And this is not necessarily something that's a negative to Casey Concepcion.
But Denzel Boston is making play after play after play.
And there's beat reporters in Cleveland who are talking about Denzel Boston
being the leading receiver on the team this year
and being clearly the wide receiver won in this offense.
So Denzel Boston, we've seen this before in the NFL draft
where the first player selected at the same,
position gets outscored by the second player. Now, I'm not saying that this is the way it's going
to go and Casey Concepcion cannot deliver this year. I actually think they're both very strong
clicks right now. Get Casey Concepcion at wide receiver 48. Denzel Boston wide receiver 65.
And that number has risen like 15 spots. Denzel is one of the biggest risers in terms of
ADP at the wide receiver position basically because of vibes from OTAs. And now with this mandatory
mini camp, I expect that his ADP and KCs are going to converge.
We see Cleveland Spark on X saying that I put David, Denzel Boston in bubble wrap until
week one.
That's the wide receiver one in this offense.
I know ESPN Cleveland showing a bunch of huge downfield plays.
I mean, Denzel Boston is an absolute unit.
He's 6-4-212, 12, great wingspan.
It's a player that's not a speed demon by any metric, but he moves well enough.
and the statistics he put together at Washington were just fantastic.
Really had back-to-back years where he was scoring in a major way.
He had 20 touchdowns over the last two seasons for Washington.
So like I think Denzel Boston right now,
if you missed out of him on Dynasty rookie drafts,
it might be time to sort of kick the tires on seeing about picking some up.
Denzel Boston in best ball is almost an automatic click.
And then in redraft,
to start mixing some in.
Really, really interesting stuff coming out of Cleveland.
And then when we look at Cleveland, we're like,
Cleveland got it right last year with a number of positions on both sides of the ball.
There's a chance that they just are drafting extremely well.
We saw him last year hit.
We would all call Harold Fannan Jr.
A huge success where they drafted him in the third round.
We'd say that Quinn Sean Judkins was a big success where they drafted him.
multiple defensive players look like long-time assets.
So why can't they do it again this year with Casey Concepcion and Denzel Boston
becoming the top two wide receivers in this offense year in, year out?
Then you look at how this offense is shaping up heading into 2027 if they figure out the quarterback position.
There are multiple quarterbacks in this 2027 draft class where if you attach them to an offense with Denzel Boston,
KC Concepcion, Judkins,
Dylan Samson behind Judkins, and then Harold Fannin Jr. at tight end.
The Browns could be like a blowup team in 2027, fading, fading Jerry Judy right now for sure.
And I wouldn't be shocked if Jerry Judy's not on the roster when we get to August, September.
I know that they've said some positive things about Jerry Judy, but to me, this is the youth movement at the wide receiver position.
Last year we saw, I mean, hey, last year we saw David and Joku get nuked by Harold.
Fanon Jr. And I know David and Joku was dealing with injuries, but they embraced youth at the
tight end position last year. Why not embrace these two wide receivers this year? And also some positivity
coming out with Isaiah Bond as well. Not worth throwing up here. I think Bond is a little bit more
of a stylistic guy than a guy that's going to make a big impact for us in fantasy. But Isaiah
Bond has a ton of juice in terms of the speed element he brings to the field. So you could be looking at
2027 with a bunch of guys entering their third and second year in the league, that could be an
ideal outcome for some of these quarterbacks we like in this 2027 class. So really, really
interesting stuff out of Cleveland, but a ton of positivity with Denzel Boston and Quinn Sean
Judkins. Also, my guy Casey Concepcion had a disgusting catch. I think it was Mary Kay Cabot,
who's a really good follow for Brown stuff. She posted it. They called an offensive pass interference.
No, it's not an offensive pass interference.
It was Casey Concepcion going up and high pointing it,
looking like an absolute beast, looking explosive.
So keeping it going.
We talked about Cleveland.
We talked about Jacksonville.
Let's talk about Minnesota.
And let's talk about the vibes with Demand Claiborne.
So I think a lot of you kind of expected me to talk about Kyler Murray
and what's going on there in Minnesota.
I think Minnesota is kind of cut and dry here.
I think it's going to be Kyler Murray at quarterback.
We have Justin Jefferson.
We have Jordan Addison.
We sort of know what they are.
bounce back candidates this year.
Joanne Jennings, a wide receiver three for them,
sort of in the Jalen Naylor role,
which we know has some positivity last year.
And then you've got T.J. Hawkinson,
who's regressed, but he's still a veteran presence at tight end.
They're easy to figure out.
Running back is the place where we can find an edge.
And we saw Aaron Jones with some really high praise for Demand Claiborne.
This was Alec Lewis on X,
saying that Aaron Jones compared Demand Claiborne's burst
to a little bit to Jemir Gibbs,
which is insane to say.
But Claiborne has a lot of speed.
You talk about Demand Claiborne.
He fell to the sixth round for Minnesota,
but was a prolific player at Wake Forest,
only 5'10, only 188 pounds.
So he's one of these small BMI guys,
but he's got a ton of juice.
I had Matt Waldman on Dynasty Life.
You can find my Dynasty Podcast,
Dynasty Life, anywhere you get your podcast.
You can also find it on Fantasy Points,
Dynasty YouTube. We're almost at 3,000 subs over there. But you've got Demand Claybourne sort of
landing perfectly where Jordan Mason, we sort of know what he is. And Aaron Jones has been
terrific for us in fantasy, but nearing the very end, one of the older running backs in football
this year besides Derek Henry that's going to see meaningful touches at the beginning of the
year. So DeMond Claiborne, he's got a chance here. And I compared the situation. And people
took this as like a negative, but I compared the situation to rookie year Keaton Mitchell. And if anybody
remembers Keaton Mitchell in Baltimore, his rookie year, it looked like he was going to be one of the
waiver wire ads of the year. And then he got banged up. So it was like the smaller back,
tons of speed, got an opportunity for sort of some high value touches and ran with it. Minnesota,
I think is going to be a plus offense this year. And I love that one. But then I put that out on X,
and I had Sigmund Bloom, who is one of the goats in fantasy football, said he reminds him of, he said Devanta Freeman.
And I was like, Sig, like, that seems like over the top, but Sigmund Blum compared him to Devanta Freeman.
And like anybody who knows fantasy, Devont of Freeman had a RB1 overall season back in the day for Atlanta.
Really solid fantasy football presence for many years, including that sort of out of nowhere RB1 overall season.
I know Matt Waldman came on Dynasty Life and was all over Claiborne as well.
So there's a Claiborne hive.
There's also an article that came out recently in The Athletic, specifically about DeMond Claiborne and his roots and his outlook here.
So I think there's like some internal optimism that they drafted a really, really good one in DeMond Claiborne.
And I think when you look at the backfield, there's a chance that Claiborne ends up being a really strong waiver wire ad at some point.
point this year. I mean, the pathway is one of these two guys misses time or one of these two guys
struggles a little bit. Jordan Mason very effective last year, analytically as a runner,
Aaron Jones, obviously, we don't need to tell you about Aaron Jones. You're listening to this show,
really educated viewers here on both the podcast side and the YouTube side. But I mean,
some of these backs who are older, old as Aaron Jones can fall to nothing. All it takes is one knock.
So I'm looking at, at DeMont Claiborne as a player that we want to start mixing in. You
get him in like round 17 on underdog. I think best ball is the best place to get access to him,
but there's no reason you can't take him in like the 18th round of some of these early redraft leagues.
And if it doesn't work out, you just cut them. But the vibes are very good with Demand Claiborne.
And he's the kind of guy that I think is going to have like those big flashy plays that end up on social media and sort of open up people's eyes to the explosiveness he brings to the table.
Then you talk about Claiborne, like he had 230 rush attempts in 2024.
And last year he had 180 nearly at Wake Forest.
Focal point of their offense.
He had, let me look at the touchdowns here.
I would double check this one.
23 touchdowns over the last two years,
including a 13 touchdown season in 2024.
I mean, that's big time in that level of college football.
So like, DeMond Claiborne, let's tuck that name away.
Make sure you have some access to him in Dynasty,
mix in some in best ball.
And if you're in early redraft leagues, draft them, set them on your bench.
And if it doesn't work out, you just cut them.
Preseason waiver wire runs are always really beneficial to you.
So add these kind of guys before the ADP picks up steam.
We talked about sort of an unknown in DeBan Claiborne.
So let's talk about some guys that are very, very well known.
Let's talk about Drake May and let's talk about A.J. Brown.
And is this the stack that you're going to need in fantasy football?
I think I'm open-minded to it.
And it's funny to me, like, Drake May last year was one of the best picks you could
possibly make in fantasy football.
Certainly was the league winner at the quarterback position based on his ADP cost.
But there's like no enthusiasm with Drake May right now.
I know he's quarterback five overall, but it feels like people are not talking about the
ceiling outcome for Drake May.
Drake May yesterday in the red zone periods was 20 of 23.
So he's flawless and accurate as he always is.
And he had three touchdown passes among his 23 attempts,
A.J. Brown, Remandre Stevenson, and Hunter Henry.
And Hunter Henry had a really good day as well.
We could have talked about him, some positivity with Hunter Henry out there.
But one of the touchdown passes was to A.J. Brown on a back shoulder fade.
A.J. Brown absolutely looking the part out there. The vibes are real. Josh McDaniels compared him to Rob Grankowski. We've seen Devante Adams and Randy Moss in very older years leading the NFL in touchdown catches attached to Josh McDaniels. Randy Moss had the 23 touchdown catch season. Devante Adams had the 14 touchdown catch season. I think I'm going to repeat that stat about a million times. But A.J. Brown has the pathway.
way to leading the NFL in touchdown catches this year.
I really believe that.
We've seen the ADP steam up a little bit.
Drake May also was working with Romeo Dubs.
And Romeo Dobbs and A.J. Brown, the two of them getting like extra work with
Drake May after practice.
They're really committed to this thing.
And I think the vibes are fantastic.
Drake May also talked about the comfort level he has with having bigger wide receivers
like A.J. Brown.
something last year where Stefan Diggs averaged 12.5 points per game.
Diggs came in and really gave you a positive based on where you had to draft them at 31.5 years old.
But if Stefan Diggs can average 12.5 points per game with Drake May, why can't A.J. Brown go out there and average 17 points per game?
The pathway is there for A.J. Brown to deliver in a major way, even at the end of round two price tag.
But I'm all in on this one. But I think really the discussion should be why is there not
more enthusiasm with Drake May.
Drake May last year had 30 plus passing touchdowns.
Drake May had, I believe it was 450 plus rushing yards.
I don't have it in front of me, but also ran for a number of touchdowns.
Drake May has been prolific back-to-back years in terms of running the football.
Two seasons with 400 plus rushing yards, and one was a very limited sample size, his rookie year.
And then last year, of course, he had the most explosive plays of any quarterback in football.
passes over 20 yards.
He led the league in those.
And what has New England done since?
New England has added an alpha wide receiver one in A.J. Brown.
They've added Romeo Dubs, who is, like, became sort of a villain in fantasy football because
he'd always sort of block a pathway from a Green Bay Packers wide receiver that we wanted
to embrace.
But the Patriots paid him a lot of money.
And I think in a wide receiver two role, he's going to be a huge improvement over what Drake
May had to work with last year.
They still have guys like Kyle Williams and DeMario Douglas,
who stylistically have familiarity with May or just sort of know their role.
And Williams brings that speed element to the table.
And of course, we'll be in year two.
Ramadre Stevenson and Trevionn Henderson.
And then they add Eli Raritan at tight end,
who's Uber athletic, getting positive reports out of camp.
So you go from sort of like an Austin Hooper combining with Hunter Henry
to Eli Raritan combining with Hunter Henry.
and 12 personnel.
That's pretty scary stuff.
So for me,
Drake May inside of round seven
might end up being a huge edge pick.
And also a great comment in the chat here
from Jags for Life 85,
they have a harder schedule this year with help,
which helps.
If you look at how pure New England ran last year
in terms of wins and losses,
and in terms of big dominant wins
where they really didn't have to lean on Drake May
as much as they needed to in the second half
of games. You could see New England regressing to being a little bit closer to 500 this year,
maybe a lot bit closer to 500 this year, and New England getting in more shootout type
environment. So my question everybody in the chat is, why is there not enough? Why is there a lack of
enthusiasm right now with Drake May? He's going off the board as the QB5 on underdog. So people
are drafting him sort of correctly, but I don't hear anybody talking about Drake May as a potential
league winner this year. And it's funny, when a guy does what he did at 22 years old,
you would expect there to be collective enthusiasm and just people pounding the table on this guy.
He opened up the season as the QB5 on a QB2 on Underdog behind Josh Allen. He fell all the way
down to QB7 and is now back up to QB5. So people think he's going to be a mid-level QB1.
They're all like kind of positive about him. But I haven't heard a single analyst look at him as
the quarterback you need to draft this year.
There is a, yeah, shout out to Rubio.
QB5 is not lacking, but it's not where we necessarily think he would have been.
And I'll pose this to guys like Rubio in the chat.
If you have this much improvement with your weapons after putting up those numbers as a 22-year-old
and you have rushing upside and you think that the team is going to regress and the game flows are going to be better,
then why is there not much of an argument out of that?
there that Drake May can be the QB1 overall. So that's sort of where I'm at with Drake May,
but Drake May, A.J. Brown, the early vibes are fantastic. Good stuff with Hunter Henry as well.
This is a team that I think will score a lot this year. And again, Josh McDaniel's year two.
Offensive line was very young last year. Jared Wilson is moving to his natural position of center.
This is a team that I think will be a source of fantasy football value, but it begins and ends with Drake
May and A.J. Brown. And of course, we're going to talk about those running backs all
offseason long. Keeping the conversation going. We talked about New England. Let's kick it
over to New York. Got to talk about Cam Scadaboo. And Cam Scadaboo has come up recently in our
projections at fantasy points and for a good reason. We anticipate he's going to play more games than
we initially projected him for. And that's the difference. Scataboo last year,
average 16 and a half points per game, was one of the best picks you could have made in any
format and like go go back to the win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night football where
Scataboo had his like big national breakout performance. Scataboo looked like a guy who could
have been a league winner last year. Now you get Scatabu who there was a lot of apprehension
kind of in the streets about where's Cam Scataboo at in terms of his health. But it looks he's looking
great. We're putting up on the screen now if you're listening on the pod. There's a it's a it's a
clip from mandatory mini camp of Scataboo running routes, looking explosive, looking strong in
his cuts, and making a big reception downfield. Scadaboo has a chance also to be the focal point
of this entire offense with Malik neighbors set to miss an unknown amount of time. And we've
talked about the improvements that New York has made on the offensive line with Francis Maui Noah,
the 10th overall pick in the NFL draft. Then they also add Pat Ricard, a 300 pound full
who's an absolute mauler that has opened up things in Baltimore for years for guys like
Lamar Jackson and Derek Henry. So you add Pat Ricard, you add Francis Maui Noah. The offensive
line's going to be improved. You have the rushing element when it comes to Jackson Dart. You add
Greg Roman and Harbaugh. The vibes are strong with Cam Scataboo. And you're able to get Cam Scadaboo
at a reasonable price tag right about round RB20. I understand that there's fear.
that he could get reaggravate with an injury.
But I'm sort of believing in the volume approach with scataboo.
Scott Barrett sort of compared him to Chicago years David Montgomery
in terms of the expectation of volume and the way that they're going to sort of use him.
I understand there's a sort of a lot of apprehension when it comes to the Giants offense overall.
We've seen Jackson Dart start to fade in terms of like where he's going in drafts.
And nobody wants any part of Malik neighbors right now.
he's fading obviously with the injury, but I think that they can be an efficient run game this year.
I think between Dart and Scataboo, I think you could see a lot there.
Scatabu also offers value as a pass catcher, both opportunistically and in some design stuff.
So it's a very interesting one, but I think Cam Scadabu is a player you don't want to be without this year.
If he stays healthy, he could deliver in a major, major way.
keeping it going.
Talked about Camp Scada,
we talked about New York.
Let's take it over to Chicago.
And let's talk about sort of an unknown player
that is getting rave reviews,
and that's Zavian Thomas.
And Zavian Thomas,
this is not a player that I want you to go out in draft.
But I do think that this is a player
that stylistically is going to help
the Chicago Bears in a major way.
You're talking about 4 to 8 speed
and versatility that they're going to move him around
the formation.
and really put pressure on secondaries with his ability to get behind them.
You had some really, really positive quotes coming out of Chicago camp from both Ben Johnson and beat reporters.
Xavier and Thomas, they'll read it, it's Clay Harbor, Zavian Thomas moves like he's in fast forward.
And then Ben Johnson said he tends to make a play every day if we harness all his energy and make sure that we can trust him.
And he's going to align where he needs to and run the route the way we need.
him. We really could use him and he could be a big weapon for us this year. And Xavier
Thomas brings 4-2840-yard dash speed to the table when it comes to the Chicago Bears' offense,
sort of like when you look at what they lost in DJ Moore and Olamidi Zakaeus, and then you
look at how consolidated this target tree should be with Colston Loveland, Luther Burden,
and Roma Dunzee, and then touches to D'Andre Swift and,
Kyle Menangai. Zavion Thomas is not a guy we're going to put in our fantasy lineups,
but I think he helps all these other guys get to where they need to be with the speed
element that he offers and how he will potentially open things up underneath, especially for
burden and especially for Loveland. They've also talked about using Zavion Thomas in the backfield
occasionally just to get that element there. So again, Zavion Thomas is not one that I think
you need to draft for your team, but I think Zavion Thomas,
If you're in a deep, deep dynasty format, you can add a little bit of exposure because it seems like a guy that Ben Johnson likes.
And you cannot teach this sort of speed.
And also the price tag for Xavieron Thomas is free.
Nobody's giving him any credit.
I think it's more of a stylistic element that he brings to the table.
I think this is a player that can help Caleb Williams get to that magic number that Bears fans have been searching for forever, the 4,000 passing yards.
and I think Caleb Williams has the chance to finish as a top three score at the quarterback position this year.
I'm really into the Chicago Bears.
I think a lot of fantasy managers are.
Ben Johnson has shown an ability to improve offenses year in, year out, and I think he'll continue to do so this year in Chicago.
We'll keep it going.
We'll talk about another rookie.
Let's talk about Chris Brazel.
Chris Brazel is turning heads in Chicago.
Brazel was the third round pick.
and Chris Brasel was a player that we thought could have been drafted earlier.
There were some late reports in the NFL draft about like attitude concerns, things like that.
I don't think Carolina really cared at all.
And Chris Brasel, it's not like he had any off the field stuff at Tulane or at Tennessee.
So it just felt like, you know, you get these rumors within NFL circles right near the NFL draft.
And we pay attention to them.
You never know where they sort of start with.
But Brasel has elite size speed combination, 43740 yard dash to go with a 6,4198 pound frame.
And the positivity you're getting with Chris Brasel in terms of the beat reporters, in terms of Dave Canales, and Bryce Young, all really talking about what he's going to bring to the table.
We saw Dave Canales say that Chris Brasel has been taking reps at X.
He's made some big play, he's made some plays over the last couple of weeks.
were really excited about where we're headed with his development.
Then we saw Bryce Young sort of coming out and just talking about the positivity with Chris Brasel.
There's some great quotes going out where Bryce Young was sort of elusive in his praise.
He said, you would have thought he'd been in a pro style system throughout his whole life.
I've been super impressed with the professionalism, the ability to learn stuff, the ability for everything to translate.
And what Bryce Young is referring to is sort of the stigma that tenets.
players have brought to the NFL, where it's an offense that doesn't correlate to the NFL.
And there really has been a track record of these Tennessee volunteer players failing in major ways.
Dylan Samson, sort of the jury's not fully out there.
But you've seen guys like Jalen Hyatt really, really failed to deliver.
Certainly Jalen Wright, the enthusiasm we had as a dynasty community, he hasn't delivered there either.
But Chris Broussel was also really good at Tulane.
And Chris Brousel was at Tulane on some really good teams.
under Willie Fritz. Willie Fritz left Tulane. Chris Brasel transfers to Tennessee. And Chris
Brazel was terrific in the SEC last year. Chris Brasel last year, 62 catches, 1,017 receiving
yards, nine touchdown grabs, looks the part. And it sounds like he's got a chance to be
on the field in three wide receiver sets. I fully expect him to overtake Xavier Liggett.
I know that might be a little spicy for some, but Xavier Liget, I mean, it's not really.
The fantasy community is not really embracing Liggett,
but when you look at a third year player who was a first round pick,
it feels a little bit like can the third round rookie
or kind of take over for him?
I think he does.
And can Chris Brasel put pressure on Jalen Koker,
who's dealt with some knocks this off season?
Jalen Koker, it's kind of collectively assumed he'll be the number two target in Carolina.
Can Chris Brasel make it an interesting conversation?
I think athletically,
Brazle has some special special traits.
And I think could he help open things up with this offense?
It's probably still Jalen Coker.
This isn't like a negative Jailen Coker take.
But I think we can all agree that Carolina got great value out of Tetero and McMillan,
who looks like he's going to be a wide receiver one in this league for quite some time,
got great value out of Jalen Coker as an undrafted free agent.
We'll give him the Mooligan on the Xavier Liget pick.
But it looks like they drafted another one in,
Chris Brasel. So we're going to keep an eye on Brasel throughout the rest of the offseason.
Going to the hype train with Quentin Johnston yet again. Quentin Johnston, we've had some
really positive speak when it comes to Mike McDaniel sort of hyping up QJ. And the community
doesn't really want to hear it where QJ is like wide receiver 50 in FFPC. He's like wide
receiver 40 something on underdog. Nobody cares about QJ right now. I think everyone's
sort of collectively in on Ladd-McConkey, but I think QJ's a really fun click, and he's a
player that I want to have a lot of exposure to. What if I told you that Quentin Johnston's still
only 24 years old? Like, it's one of these like Mandela effect guys, where if you ask like,
even guys you know that no fantasy football, even guys who maybe followed college football,
and you're like, how old is Quentin Johnston? I think you get a lot of answers that he's like
26, 27 years old. He's still only 24 years old. He's had eight touchdowns in back-to-back
seasons. And he's got over 700 receiving yards in back-to-back seasons. You had Mike McDaniel saying
your drive phase right now is going to F the league up. He's hyping this guy. And we heard Mike
McDaniel with the out-of-nowhere athletic comparisons to Andre Johnson and Julio Jones when it came to
QJ. So QJ were just getting like positive, positive like trickles coming out. And people want to sort of like
ignore them. He's a player where for every positive thing Mike McDaniel says, you'll see like three
more people on X saying to go add more Trey Harris. And I think a lot of people are really on the
Trey Harris bandwagon. Trey Harris, I think the team also really likes. I think they like his blocking
ability. But when you look at fast athletic players driving in a Mike McDaniel scheme and the fact
that Quentin Johnson has put up spike weeks when it comes to playing alongside.
Justin Herbert for multiple seasons now.
For me, QJ is just like a really, really easy click to make right now.
And he's a player that if you want to embrace this Mike McDaniel offense
and you want exposure to it, especially in best ball leagues,
but you don't want to pay that price tag for Omarian Hampton at like the one-two turn
or Ladd-McConkey where he's being steamed up to,
then draft Justin Herbert mix in some QJ.
I think there's a chance he delivers in a major way this year.
And hey, what's the pathway for QJ?
It's still probably touchdowns,
but could we see him go north of 900 receiving yards as well this year
in sort of a turned up offense?
The number two target in this offense is sort of undecided at this point,
but the driver's seat is probably QJ.
He has the most pedigree of any of these guys
based on what he's done the last two years
and simply go look at the spike weeks.
Look at the week by week numbers he puts up.
QJ has put up spike weeks in back-to-back years,
and now the community wants to fade
him once again. He's 24 years old. I think he's pretty good at football at this point. I think a lot of
the people sort of made their minds up about him when he had a bust rookie season. But there's a reason
that QJ was selected as the 21st pick in the 2023 NFL draft. And I think the Chargers know what
they have in him. And I think Mike McDaniel might be more enthusiastic about QJ than a lot of people in
this chat right now. Keeping it going. We talked about QJ. Let's finish up with some Seattle back
takes. And I've been really positive when it comes to Judarian Price and Dynasty. I've been
positive with Judarian Price when it comes to redraft and bestball. And I'm not fading
Judarian Price, but it certainly wasn't great news for Judarian Price with all of the positivity
that we're seeing with Zach Charbonnet. Zach Charbonnet, there was some doom and gloom reports that
the guy was going to miss potentially the season. Now he's off to the side getting work in at mandatory
mini camp in June. So Zach Charbonnet, the Seattle coaching staff has continually praised his
toughness where you're seeing like quotes about Zach Charbonnet and you say, why did Zach
Charbonnet sort of cut in so much to my Kenneth Walker shares last year? I mean, Zach Charbonnet was
also an early second round pick and Zach Charbonnet had delivered with double digit touchdowns.
But Zach Charbonnet, you saw Greg Bell talk about it where a Zach Charbonnet surprise, they weren't
really expecting this. You had beat reporters who were even a little bit surprised about the fast
track timeline. And you look at Zach Charbonnet and you say, like if you're watching on the
YouTube stream, he's not exactly running sprints out here. But this doesn't look like a guy who
they're putting on complete ice. He's in sweats, doing some karaoke type drills on the sideline.
I'm a little bit more optimistic about clicking the button on Zach Charbonnet, certainly in some
redraft and best ball leagues. And you get another quote from, from, from,
Corbin Smith, another beat reporter for the Seahawks, saying that basically getting medical opinions.
And Zach Charbonnet looks to be on track for early October was what some people are saying.
There's also some other beat reporters sort of saying that Charbonnet could beat the timeline where maybe we were expecting like week 10.
Maybe this could end up being like week eight.
And then Zane also talked about it where Charbonnet that the team has plans for.
and I think that they have a plan to incorporate
Zach Charbonnet if it's the middle of the season.
They also have a plan to incorporate him
if there's any setbacks in the end of the season.
Then you talk about sort of the pecking order right now
where the coaching staff seems to like George Halani
mixing in with Judarian Price.
Emmanuel Wilson, who I think a lot of people in fantasy
were very enthusiastic about after he was like this handcuff
to Josh Jacobs in Green Bay last year,
sounds like Wilson is the number three running back there.
It looks to me like it's Judarian Price.
The fact that it's George Halani out there is a positive for Judarian Price.
And some people might say, what do you mean by that, where it's George Halani running with the ones.
I mean, Janarian Price is a rookie.
It's some veterans deference to George Halani.
But George Halani was an undrafted free agent.
He's 25 years old and has done really nothing as a pro.
last year he had 22 rush attempts total.
Brings value to the table in terms of pass blocking.
They trusted him to do that last year.
Will he be mixed in for some snaps?
Sure.
But the fact that Emmanuel Wilson is running at number three,
I think that was the biggest threat to Jaron Price.
So I will remain on Judarian Price as a guy who can get off to a fast start.
But the start might be capped if Zach Sharperday injury optimism is true.
and we see him progressing in a major way.
I think really a lot of the takeaways are in terms of injuries.
Guys are progressing through injuries.
Treatments and surgeries are getting way more advanced.
We've seen it at the NBA level with several guys like Jason Tatum.
And now we're starting to see it more so in the NFL level,
where I think if this was a few years ago,
there would be no chance you'd see Cam Scadaboo on the field in June.
There'd be no chance you'd hear talk about guys like,
Zach Charbonnet and George Kittle being fast-tracked.
Injuries used to take a little more time to recover.
I think that's something that we need to roll with as a signal in fantasy football,
especially if you're an early drafter, redraft and best ball.
Big shout out to Dan Williamson in the chat.
Dan Williamson is now hosting The Dominator.
I'm going to be joining Dan on his show over on the player profiler,
YouTube network a little bit later today.
So make sure you go check that one out.
Dan's going to do a great job with that show.
Dan and I are also drafting an FFPC main event team.
We're inside of round 10.
So at some point we are going to be reviewing our FFPC main event.
It's a slow draft, but the team has some really fun picks, including, you guessed it, Colston Loveland in round two.
We're going to be back at it tomorrow.
Make sure you're sticking with us here at Fantasy Points YouTube.
