It's time for the Fantasy Points podcast, brought to you by FantasyPoints.com.
Top level fantasy football and NFL betting analysis from every perspective and angle,
from numbers to the film room, with a single goal to help you score more fantasy points.
If you're listening to this podcast, you either really like us, which is unlikely,
or you've made it to your fantasy championship, which is far more likely.
My name is Joe Dolan. His name is Dr. Edwin Porras.
It is the week 17 edition of the Fantasy Points Injury Podcast and Waver Wire Podcasts, which Tom Broly will do in the second half of this podcast.
It is great to be with you.
Hopefully you've made it.
Had a couple of semifinals, Edwin, that went wayward.
But, you know, if I'm dancing in a couple of leagues in the final week, I'm always thankful for that.
And that's the case for me this year.
I don't know what the case is like for you this year.
How are things going for you in your fantasy leagues?
hopefully we're not talking about mental injuries for you.
No, I'd like to say, first of all, screw Graham Barfield.
Graham bounced me in the first round.
First of all, this is why he's a professional.
You're both professionals and I'm not.
He was acting on the waiver wire.
He pieced and put things together.
He got Gabriel Davis in a lineup where he didn't have Travis Kelsey,
and he bounced me in the first round.
So, of course, I get bounced in the first round, Joe.
And then I outscore the entire league, the second week.
Oh, that's always.
I can't stand it.
So I'm not doing well.
Those are my, I have a couple of leagues that I got bounced that I, that I really
care about.
And I got bouncing in the first round of both of them.
So you can, you can screw off too because you have a couple leagues where you're still going.
So that's where I'm at.
That's where I'm at right now.
Yeah, here's the problem, Edwin.
I traded my first round picks in multiple dynasty leagues, okay?
And one of those was, including to you for Lamar Jackson,
who has been completely unavailable to play.
for me. And I think I lost by like half a point and I had to start Ben Rafflesberger because
Tyler Huntley ended up on the COVID list. Now that's a bad beat.
Oof, that's a bad beat. Yeah, I can't help you. That's a bad beat. This has been one of the
most random years for that specific reason, the COVID reason. But it's been one of those years.
Yeah, that's terrible. Just a bad beat. I'm sick of it. Anyway, nobody wants to hear us whine about
our fantasy teams. You want to hear us talk about, uh,
What's going on out there in the world of injuries?
And Edwin, let's put it this way.
We're going to start by saying, essentially, you're going to clarify if this gentleman in question has a chance to play for you in your fantasy championship.
And then, of course, for those of you and Dynasty Keeper, maybe you do play in Week 18.
We'll do a long-term outlook.
But first and foremost, let's just get that out of the way.
Miles Sanders, Eagles running back.
He has a hand injury.
I don't think he's playing in Week 17.
No, it doesn't sound like he's going to play in week 17, although it did seem as though he's going to be active.
Potentially in week 18, it really depends on where the fracture location is.
Are they going to do surgery, which doesn't necessarily sound like it like they're going to.
Can he play with the bulky brace?
What is that going to look like?
Can he catch the ball?
Can he hold the ball?
You know, all of those things, all those factors that you have to consider as a running back are going to be important for him to clarify before he actually gets on the field.
But in terms of the fantasy championships for most standard leagues, you're probably
not going to have Miles Sanders.
Okay.
What about, do you think he has a shot to be back for the playoffs?
I, that's a tough one.
If you remember there was an issue with Marlon Mack a couple of years back where he also
broke his hand.
I don't even necessarily remember the specific outcome.
I think he did play with the bulky brace, but it was hard for him to hold on to the
ball.
So I don't necessarily think you even want him back for the playoffs at this point, Joe.
First of all, are the Eagles in playoff position?
I've lost track of.
They are currently in the seventh slot in the NFC.
We got one excited Joe Dolan on this podcast.
I mean, I think it's good for them.
Like they've had a good fight.
They're not going to go anywhere this year.
But, you know, it's been a good fight for them.
Anyway, okay, let's move on to somebody who is going to make the playoffs.
And they received some relatively good news on him because when they first announced this injury,
the chief said he was questionable to return with a collar.
bone injury and that never sounds good.
That's for Clyde Edwards-Alaire, but apparently the chiefs received some relatively good news
on Clyde Edwards-Alaire's injury as they look to march towards the Super Bowl yet again.
Yeah, so this did look a little bit like a scary injury,
looked like it might have ended up being a collarbone.
And the first thing you hear of collarbone, obviously, is you think fracture,
but that didn't end up being the case for Clyde Edwards-Layer.
He's not going to be available this week.
I'd have to double-check the reports.
I don't quite remember what they estimated for him.
But I think he's considered week to week is what it ended up being,
according to one of the insiders.
And yes, it seems as though he avoided major injury, which is great.
I would expect the chiefs to probably sit him the next couple of weeks at least
and then bring him back for their, you know,
what is this third or fourth playoff run in a row now.
So I don't necessarily anticipate this being a big deal for Clyde Edwards-Hillair.
And I think it's a good idea that they just sit him.
And I think the chiefs ended up in the last couple of years, right?
they'll sit Kelsey, they'll sit Hill.
And this is probably just another reason to sit them all together.
So, yeah, this is this, he avoided major injury, which is great to hear.
Let's go to yet another running back.
And this is a guy who is not going to be available for the next couple of weeks.
As Sony Michelle has taken the lead in the backfield for the Rams,
Darrell Henderson has suffered an MCL injury.
And look, Edwin, I know injury prone is a lie.
But the Rams did acquire Sony Michelle.
because they were worried about the fragility of Darrell Henderson.
It has come to pass.
Fortunately for them, Sony Michelle is playing really well,
but Darrell Henderson is now on IR with a knee injury.
Right.
And I think the important thing to recognize is that most people wrote
Darrell Henderson off as not being able to play, you know,
even a third of the season for some reason.
And he's gotten all, you know, this far.
These MCL injuries, they happen.
Right.
It's happened to Nick Chubb.
It's happened to Clyde Edwards-Hillair.
It happens.
And that's where I sort of stand from a big,
big picture standpoint on on darrell henderson um now in terms of him his outlook moving forward he's
probably not going to be back before the fourth or fifth week um so in terms of fantasy relevance
it's not necessarily uh going to to it's not necessarily fantasy implications there um but i do
think joe and i didn't put him on the sheet i just have to say how absolutely bananas it is
that Cam Acres has a chance to play for the Rams this week.
I think that's absolutely bananas.
Let's talk about this, okay?
First and foremost, and I want to tie this in to James Robinson and Travis E.TN.
I was going to talk about them as a whole backfield because I wrote it in our market report this week
that James Robinson suffered an Achilles tear and Travis ETN is coming off of a Liss Franks brain,
which I think for your money might be the two words.
injuries or running back can suffer. I think maybe a Patel or tendon tear would be in there as well.
Those are far less common. But talk about the Achilles first when it comes to Cam Acres and maybe
what best case is for James Robinson. Yeah. So first of all, for Camacres, best case scenario, right?
And now we're talking a case in which there have, before Cam Acres have been two, since 2014,
two other NFL players to Joe, two who have come back within six months. That's it. The sample's
extremely low. There's not a lot of data to go off of. And, you know, this is really an example of an
an equals one case study where we're going to have to follow this out and really see where it is.
So, you know, his body can respond very well at six months. And a best case scenario could be he hits
not necessarily his ceiling this year or even next year, but, you know, at 2023, we see glimpses of a full 100% back at it cam acres. That's, that's his best case scenario. You know, we also have to look at the floor, though, these procedures that that that he probably underwent. It's not to get too much into the weeds. It's a relatively new procedure over the last 10 years or so. And it really does allow for him to return a lot earlier. But that doesn't necessarily mean. It's a relatively new procedure over the last 10 years or so. And it, it really does allow for him. It's, it really does allow for him. It doesn't necessarily.
You know, it's one of those, could we versus should we?
Should we wait six months?
Should we wait the average, which is, you know, up until this point in NFL players even,
has been 11 months?
How is his body going to respond at six months, at nine months, at 12 months, at 18 months?
That is yet to be seen.
So I think regardless of what we've seen with Cam Acres, which is fantastic, right?
I don't want to downplay.
I think that's freaking awesome.
Everything he's done so far.
We cannot discount the fact that we've never seen this before,
and that tendon physiology is not the same as.
ACL physiology. So when the ACL's fixed and the muscle gets kicked back on back online,
it's pretty much game on with an ACL. That is not necessarily the case with a tendon repair.
So, you know, that's to say, if you want to take a shot on Cam Acres at this point, Dynasty or
Keeper, I would not blame you because look at what he's done up until this point. But you just have to
understand that as great as it is, it's not a slam dunk that he's going to come back and be the guy
that he, that he, that we could have anticipated him being prior to this injury. You have to knock
at least a 10 or 15% ceiling off of him just to be conservative.
Yeah, I mean, just an incredible job by Cam Acres to even come back from that.
And that's good news for the Jaguars, who obviously James Robinson is going to be out for the
year.
And I don't want to, I think it would be unfair to expect James Robinson to be ready to go by
training camp.
I mean, just an incredible job by Cam Acres to get to this point.
But let's talk about Travis E.T.N.
because I think a lot of people are going to be very curious as to his recovery,
given that it might be less likely that James Robinson is ready for the start of the season.
Yeah, it's definitely possible, right?
I mean, it really depends.
If he does have a, it's called a percutaneous procedure to fix the Achilles and if it's a relatively minor tear,
then yeah, I mean, we could definitely see James Robinson back out there in camp,
you know, but that remains to be seen.
In terms of Travis Hattien himself and his list rank, this is where things get a little dicey, right?
It really depends, again, on the procedure that he has done.
Does he have an ORIF, which, you know, could leave some hardware in the foot itself
and could just end up being really annoying, honestly.
That's all it is.
It's just like an annoying nuisance.
Marquis Brown is the most recent example.
Evan Ingram had this issue.
And we do have data supporting the fact that there's about a 20% production dip in
offensive players as it comes to a list for it's actually NFL players.
The production dip in offensive players is a lot lower or a lot greater, actually, than it is in defensive players, for example.
So the first year back after a list rank is going to be brutal.
The first year back after in Achilles is going to be brutal.
Who knows who's going to be coaching this team?
I mean, even if these dudes are both back in full swing by the time camp hits, there are more dart throws to me in 2022 than they would be anything else.
This is just going to be.
And on top of that, right?
And this is sort of more so your,
your lane to talk about this.
Travis Etienne, if you remember, this was a preseason.
So the dude didn't even get a full preseason as a rookie.
So he's essentially a rookie coming into 2022.
So it's just a mess of the backfield.
They're more so, like I said,
dart throws lottery tickets, lottery tickets.
You know, I'm sure that by the end of 2022,
just like we do every single year,
both of those dudes will be on different teams and they'll be, you know,
you know, fantasy league winners.
But as of now, if we go process,
they're not dudes that I'm necessarily.
fairly eye eyeballing.
Let's get to a couple of quarterbacks who got dinged up here in week 16.
Let's start with Derek Carr who suffered a rib injury.
Yeah, so Derek Carr suffered a rib injury.
I always think it's, I don't want to say funny, Joe,
because it's not funny when dudes are injured.
But the way the NFL players and NFL organizations handle injuries is so
interesting to me.
Like, Derek Carr had this, has this ribs injury, right?
And the interim coach, I forget his name, he comes out and he says,
Yeah, yeah. He comes out and he says, oh, yeah, he's got this ribs injury, really just bruised ribs. It only hurts when he coughs. Well, Joe, that probably means it probably hurts when he inhales. It probably hurts when he exhales. It probably hurts when he laughs. So when you say it only hurts when he coughs, that indicates to me that he's probably not going to want to necessarily take a hit from a 300 pound lineman. So that's just- He also doesn't want to get COVID-19. Also doesn't want to get COVID-19. That's not.
something I would necessarily recommend, my professional opinion.
So what I'm saying about Derek Carr is they do anticipate him playing.
He's probably going to be playing in a flack jacket.
I don't know.
I don't know how many people are necessarily starting Derek Carr or necessarily need to
start Derek Carr, but we might have to knock off a few points just because he could
re-injure.
They could pull him.
He might be, you know, have limited mobility.
He might take a few more, a few more sacks in terms of giving himself up than usual because
these ribs injuries are extremely painful.
And finally, let's go to Jimmy Garoppolo.
This popped up on Monday, and it looks like Trey Lance is going to start this weekend for the 49ers.
Yeah, so what we expect for Jimmy Garoppos for him to be out probably, you know, for an extended period of time.
This injury is essentially what Drew Breeze had at his thumb, this throwing thumb a couple of years ago at UCL tear.
So they heal nicely.
You just need to give them a little bit of time.
but for the foreseeable future,
Jimmy G is out.
This might be the time that we're making the switch, Joe.
I don't know what you think.
I don't know where your thoughts are on Trey Lance.
I know Graham doesn't think that Trey Lance is very good,
just based on everything we're hearing,
not in terms of what he's seeing,
but in terms of...
They traded a three first-round next form.
He's going to start at some point, man.
Right, right.
So this might be it.
This might be the time.
And I don't know what's going to happen to Jimmy Groplo now,
especially because his stock is definitely going to take a dip
now that he's going to probably have surgery
and have to repair this.
them. All right, Edwin, this has been phenomenal. It's been a great podcast all year. You've grown.
You've moved into the world of sports officially. You're still going to be with us. We're still going to
talk injuries. You're still going to be on Twitter, tweeting out your documentation for everything.
It's been a great year, my friend. Thank you so much for joining us on the injury podcast.
And we're going to talk, I mean, we're going to catch up during the off season. I have plans for the
podcast. I've got to start making this my baby. I've got to start interviewing people.
people bringing people on the pod. It's going to be my baby this offseason, and you're going to be
part of that. So I really appreciate you, my friend. Congratulations on joining the Minnesota
Twins organization, and we will talk to you soon down the line. Thank you, Joe. Thank you very much,
Ben, and welcome Tom to the podcast. It's the Fantasy Points Waverwire podcast, and thank you to Edwin
as well for breaking down some of the injuries, Tom, and we're going to be talking about some of
those injuries as it relates to who can you pick up and start in your fantasy football champion.
Tom, for I would think 90% of fantasy players, this is it.
For the other 10%, this isn't necessarily going to be a focus on you,
but certainly guys who you might be able to pick up and start in the next two weeks.
And if you follow along at FantasyPoint.com, next week is mostly going to be focused on
which teams have playing time issues.
You know, people lock up a playoff spot, lock up a seating, might be able to rest their
starters.
that's going to be all covered next week Tom.
But as it stands right now, I don't think anybody's locked up a seed just yet.
So everybody's playing for something in Week 17, which is good news.
Yeah, it's still pretty wide open at this point.
You know, it's been a parody-filled leg all year long as anybody knows that's done fantasy.
You know, the bottom has been beaten the top the last couple of weeks at times.
It was a little bit more consistent this week.
but so yeah that's a good thing for uh for our sake here uh you know it's still very wide open for all
these playoff races uh you know green bay's got a game lead in the nmc but you know they have some
you know they have a match up with minnesota this week so nothing is nothing is quite wrapped up here
plenty to plenty to play for here so uh that's always a good thing here i you know we i think people
were like we're in our discord like oh the or the cowboy's going to sit all their good players
No, no, no, no, no, no. They're still angling for seeds here.
They still have chances to get up to that top seed that's even more valuable than it's ever been before.
Now that there's seven teams in each conference making the playoffs.
So these teams are playing it out.
I don't think we have any kind of playing limitations here at least this week.
Maybe we'll get some that developed for week 18.
But even then, I think we're going to have most teams, you know, going for it, you know, through the regular season here.
And Tom, I think everybody, let's start with the running back position because I think everybody is always angling for running backs to pick up.
And, you know, if you picked up Justin Jackson last week, he might have run you into a fantasy championship matchup.
And that's great, but you're probably going to have to replace him this week.
And let's start with somebody who might have been dropped in your league.
The roster numbers, Tom, suggests he probably hasn't been dropped in your league.
But just in case the guy was a weak winner when Clyde Edwards-Alair was out earlier in the season, that's Darrell Williams of Kansas City.
Tom, he was one of our MVP's in our high-stakes league that led us to win in that league because he was able to keep us afloat for four, five, six weeks when we really needed an extra running back.
He's somebody who can contribute right away if you need him.
Yeah, it looks like Clyde Edwards-Hillair, you know, might miss at least this week.
He, you know, bruised up his collarbone pretty badly.
You know, so, you know, they probably have, you know, this is a situation where the Chiefs might have an eye toward the future here.
Give them a week or two to get healthy for the postseason.
They have a capable backup in Darrell Williams.
Derek Gore is, you know, a lower end option if you're playing maybe in a 14 or 16 team league.
He's starting to come on a little bit.
Had a good game against the Steelers last week.
So, you know, but this is going to be mostly Darrell's backfield if Clyde Edwards-Hillars out.
average 19 touches a game whenever, you know, Edward Hilaire missed five games earlier this season.
So, you know, he's a plug and play like high-end RB2 type of guy that could, you know,
he should be in lineups across the board if Edwards Hilar is out this week.
Going a little bit deeper here, Miles Sanders is going to miss week 17 for the Eagles.
Jordan Howard and Boston Scott, their rostered in under 20% of Yahoo Leagues.
Now, keep an eye on Howard.
things equal, Tom, he's the guy I want, but he has a stinger. The Eagles can call upon Boston Scott again. And this is a guy who has answered the bell when they've called his number. Just keep an eye on it. I mean, if you're in a championship, go pick them both up. I mean, like, this is an opportunity for an Eagles team that's run for over 100 yards in like a million straight games. It's a good run game. They gashed Washington on the ground just last week. I mean, I mean, I mean,
these guys are going to contribute.
Yeah, 238 yards and two touchdowns in this matchup two weeks ago.
We saw what the Cowboys did to Washington's defense last week.
It's a team that's kind of just completely crumbling at this point.
So the Eagles, you know, it's the next guy up in this backfield, mild sand.
I'm going to miss at least this week with a broken hand.
So Howard, you know, we'll see, keep an eye on the injury report.
You know, it's a stinger.
So, you know, usually, I think it's, you know, probably.
more on the end that the guys are able to play after getting an injury like a stinger the week
before. But, you know, can never take anything for granted here. Howard is, you know, a slightly
better option than Boston Scott. But, you know, it's kind of been Miles Sanders, Jordan Howard,
Boston Scott, Kenneth Gamewell, has kind of been the order in that backfield, you know,
since at least mid-season here. So, you know, definitely, you know, very viable guys here.
Howard can finish its goal line. Boston Scott's shown the ability to finish up the goal line.
much better than Miles Sanders has done this season since he hasn't scored a touchdown.
But both of these guys are very viable.
This offense is especially the running game is clicking right now and going against a defense that's falling apart here.
So very viable options here off the waiver wire this weekend, you know, plus 80% plus, you know, availability this week.
Guys who are, I mean, almost certainly available in your league, Tom.
I'm not overly excited about this, but you might need touches and you might need potential
catches. The Jaguars backfield, Daray Ogunbo Wale and Raikwell-Armsted. Yeah, Raikwell-Armstead,
remember him? He's back. A gumbo-Wale scored after James Robinson tore his Achilles last week.
It was against the Jets. They've got the Patriots and the Colts left. But I mean, if you're
angling for like seven to eight fantasy points, these guys might be able to get you there.
Yes. If that's what you're hoping.
for they do have a, not the toughest matchup for running backs per se, you know, against the Patriots
here. But this offense in general is going to struggle to move the ball. I'd also keep an eye on this back.
I think they'll probably add another body or two. But Gumbawali's been around the longest.
You know, he has the best field for the offense. But I could see them given Reikwell-Armsted a chance
here. Honestly, this is probably a backfield. I would like to avoid, you know,
I'd rather go chase maybe Rex Burkhead if David Johnson's on the COVID list here.
A deeper one.
You know, we got the Jets.
We always look at the Jets.
They have Tampa Bay this week.
Kishon Vaughn made a splash play, broke off the 55-yard touchdown run.
You know, he was on the field for 36% of the snaps.
So, you know, if you're looking real deep, you know, this is what we're looking at.
We're looking at Daray, Gumbulli, Rex Burkhead.
Kishon Vaughn, but Vaughn might have a little bit more.
I don't honestly rather play Vaughn over Daria Kumpo Wally this week.
Yeah.
Just because of the matchup, because of the nature of the Buccaneers offense.
And, you know, it's a two touchdown spread.
So if they get up big and maybe they don't want to run, you know, Ronald Jones a lot in the fourth quarter there,
maybe he can wreck up some touches.
So, you know, we're digging deep here.
But, you know, certainly three guys that might be viable for you this week.
if you're really stretching for help at running back.
Yeah, I mean, there's, and Tom, good, by the way, good call on Duke Johnson last week.
Oh, yeah, that was such a, yeah, I mean, they were rotating all three of those packs last night.
It was, it was kind of painful to watch it.
Miles Gaskin, RIP, you know, you were up and down all season long.
You provided a couple good games, but you've been unseated there by a three-man committee going forward there.
Yeah, just a nasty, nasty committee.
Tom, and, I mean, at this point, there's no.
there's no use to even stash somebody because it's week 17 and the and your championship is almost
certainly over. So let's get into some of the wide receivers. There are some big time options here,
Tom. First and foremost, plug and play. I wish, I know in hindsight, the guy wanted to gut it out,
but Adam Thielen was clearly not 100%. He affected his ankle. KJ. Osborne has literally been a
plug and play option when Adam Thelan doesn't play. Yep, 14 fantasy points or more in the three of the four games
that Thielen has basically missed.
He got hurt, like, real early in the one game, and Osborne kind of took his place here.
So, you know, they got a match up with Green Bay.
Green Bay's, you know, kind of been giving up some production here recently.
So they've been playing some in some shootouts.
So, you know, there's a chance for this.
I think it was a 34, 31 game that the Vikings won earlier this season in week 11.
So, you know, a chance for another potential shootout there.
You know, Minnesota tends to do that anyway.
So if Thielen is out of the last.
lineup. Certainly a guy you can look at that to plug and play here is a wide receiver three. He's,
you know, scored in two of those four games as well. And, you know, he's provided a big player,
too, as well. On that, you know, on that Thursday night game, he scored the real long touchdown
against the Steelers. So certainly a viable option to just pick up and play. And he may have been
dropped after the news came out that Thielen was playing last week. So his ownership number is sitting
at 34% on Yahoo. I think it was up in the mid-40. So he was certainly dropped.
in a handful of leagues last week.
Let's go now to Josh Palmer.
Tom, Mike Williams, hey, look, this, I am not trying to, I am not trying to just make
any sort of like soapbox statement here.
I'm stating a fact.
Mike Williams made a personal decision, and because of the personal decision, he is going
to miss two critical games for his team, week 16 and week 17 on the COVID list.
Jalen Geithen was on it as well last week.
Josh Palmer comes in and he scores a touchdown
and that's somebody who's come on in recent weeks for the Chargers
and they are in must win mode.
Yes, the critical game for them.
You know, he's been kind of an ascending player anyway.
He's been making more plays here in the second half.
You know, he's angling for Mike Williams' job next year.
He's becomes a free agent and Palmer's certainly showing that he's capable here.
They were very high on him, third round pick out of Tennessee.
I think a guy that Greg Kosell liked quite.
a bit. And he's been, you know, moving up in the world here as, as we say. So, you know,
Jalen Guyton, we don't know about his status. You know, maybe, you know, maybe he's able to return
for this week. But either way, you know, they're running a lot of leaven personnel. He's going to be
on the field quite a bit. Keenan Allen, you know, they kind of, you know, teams were, you know,
the Texans, I was surprised at his stat line from that game. So, you know, opposing defenses
when Mike Williams isn't on the field, you know, really are trying to take him out of the,
take him out of the picture here. So Palmer's a guy who could step up and be the number two
receiver here, and certainly a guy that's ascending in the world right now.
Isaiah McKenzie comes in. Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis are both on the COVID list,
and I think there's a chance that both are still on it next week.
Davis can play. Davis for sure. Yes, he's not for sure.
Emmanuel Sanders comes in makes two catches. He hasn't hit 30 yards since week nine.
Meanwhile, Isaiah McKenzie goes for 11-125 and a touchdown. He's more explosive than Cole Beasley, Tom.
I don't see why they wouldn't put him out there and give him some more work, Buffalo,
because he was somebody who really helped them out in a tough matchup against the Patriots,
and Buffalo is now angling to win that AFC East. Yeah, honestly, if it looks like that Cole Beasley's not going to play
or, you know, they're sick of his shit, you know, that they bench him for this week.
And, you know, at the very least, I think he's eligible to come off basically on game day.
Like, he's not going to get any practices here.
So if we get win this week that, you know, there, you know, McKenzie's going to start again this week.
I think he's probably the top pickup this week.
He's got one of the best matchups in the league here against the Falcons.
And he certainly showed something that, you know, last week he was Josh Allen's favorite target there going for 120.
years. And McKenzie's always been kind of a explosive player, you know, capable of, you know,
doing big things when he's gotten a chance. But I think he's so small and diminutive that teams don't
really want to, you know, overuse them too much. But, you know, he's pretty good in small bursts here.
And, you know, if we can get him for one more week here as the primary slot receiver in Buffalo,
certainly a guy you can plug into your lineup here as a wide receiver three. So keep an eye on the
the news there with. I'm pretty sure Gabriel Davis is already out, you know, with the 10-day
unvaccinated rule. Cole Beasley's going to be cutting close, but he won't be getting any practices
in. So keep an eye on that. If there's any news that they're just going to roll with McKenzie,
he is very viable as a wide receiver three this week. I mean, I think everybody's, Tom's been
kind of streaming quarterbacks here with some of the injuries that we've had at the position.
And of course, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens Fiasco, not complaining because, of course,
that cost me in our dynasty league.
I had to start fucking Ben Rathesburger this week.
Yeah.
Trey Lance, looks like he's going to start this week, Tom.
And at the very least, I think he's going to run around.
Yeah, yeah, that's what he did the last time he started.
I was back in week five against Arizona, ran for 89 yards, 16 carries.
It was a run, run, run heavy offense here.
I mean, I would be a little bit concerned if I'm playing, you know, the big receivers here for San Francisco this week.
If we get Tray Lance as the starter, you know, of course, Debo and Kittle have carried a lot of teams and even Brandon Ayuk.
But this offense changes a little bit when Trey Lance comes in the lineup.
Great for our fantasy quarterback, though, if he's going to get up to, you know, 16 carries in the game.
I think, you know, I was reading some of the quotes.
And Shanehan said he's come along here.
You know, he's a rookie quarterback.
He only made one start last year because of North Dakota State, you know, having their, you know, season white
out last year. So, you know, very, very young, but maybe this is his time. And, you know,
pretty, yeah, I mean, you can't ask for a better spot. You know, they get the Texans this week.
You know, any offense can move the ball on the Texans here. So chance for, you know, there's a
chance that he could be a QB1 type this week off of the waiver wire if Jimmy Garablo, in fact,
can't play this week. And it sure feels that way if he's dealing with a right thumb injury.
It sounds like something that could keep them out multiple weeks.
But we'll see where it goes there.
Maybe we'll try to get them out in the field.
But I think this is going to be Lance's offense this week.
And if you go to tight end where you're also likely streaming, Gerald Everett.
Tom, he's been better than D.K. Metcalfe in recent weeks, like straight up.
Not just comparatively, but straight up.
That offense is completely broken.
They have a top 10 draft pick that they gave to the New York Jets.
I mean, what a disaster of a franchise right now.
Yeah, it's not looking good right now.
And, you know, they're going to blow everything up.
It looks like this summer, this off season.
We'll see where everything goes.
But he has been pretty active here since Russell Wilson has come back.
You know, five double-digit fantasy points performances since, you know,
Russ came back seven games ago.
You know, this is actually, you know, the state of the tight end position has been miserable here
in recent weeks.
But this is actually a really strong streaming week.
You know, Foster Moreau has been coming along.
We'll see about Darren Waller status.
They've, Rich Viscagula, it was very optimistic that Darren Waller might play this week.
But just keep an eye on those injury reports.
We'll see, you know, coaches are always optimistic on Monday.
We'll see about on Thursday or Friday whenever these guys are out there practicing.
So, Moreau, you know, he has got a good match up here against the Colts.
And he's been, you know, it took a few weeks, but he's, you know, kind of moving up in the world here. Cars finally trusts him a little bit.
Mo Allie Cox is the one that's really interesting to me.
Jack Doyle left really early in that game on Saturday night, on Christmas night, with an ankle or knee injury.
It was kind of vague what he had there.
But, you know, he saw a season high 90% of the snaps.
He get, you know, and this is why we kind of like him.
He's, you know, got the Las Vegas Raiders this week.
It's, you know, one of the friendlier matchups for tight ends here.
So a couple guys, you know, that are very lightly owned.
Maybe you've been, you know, really struggling at the tight end position.
So, you know, if you're really looking for Moe-A Cox is at 2% of it.
So he is available everywhere.
Keep an eye on Jack Doyle's injury status.
But he could be a guy that you can plug and play if you're really hurting at the tight-end position.
Tom, we've made it this far.
It's week 17.

That's going to be, we're looking forward to having more room to breathe.
Yes, I can't wait for a little time to breathe.
This is usually the last week, Joe.
We got power through for one more week of the regular season.
But we're getting towards the end here.
