It's Monday morning.
it's week four, which means we have to talk about week three.
It's the market report.
Recap podcast here at FantasyPoints.com.
My name is Joe Dillan.
His name is Tom Browley talking,
well, here's what we do.
We watch all the games.
We talk about all the games.
We write about all the games.
So you don't have to.
This is our companion podcast to the article that we put up every Monday afternoon
at FantasyPoint.com called Coincidentally,
the Market Report.
And we recap everything that there is to know from a fantasy.
perspective. It is also kind of the sister article, Tom, of the waiver wire article.
So we don't have much overlap. The guys who are lesser rostered in leagues are talked about
in the waiver wire. The guys who are more rostered in leagues are talked about in the market
report. It's a system that's worked for us for years. T-bro, let's get into it for week
three. Do you have any overarching takeaways from the week? Not really. I mean,
it's kind of, this is about the point of the season where everything kind of settles in a little
bit. We kind of know what everybody's roles are in the backfields and kind of the pecking orders
of receivers. So as we go along, the market report that we actually physically put on the site
and this podcast probably won't necessarily be as long as, you know, as going forward.
Because we're kind of at this point, we're starting to get to really know what these teams
are doing and what they're about. All right, T-Bro, Thursday night game between the Steelers and the
Browns. My only question for you here.
When do we go to pick it here? I mean,
Trubisky hasn't been like Justin Fields bad, but there's no upside here.
Yeah, I mean, he's probably just a step above him at this point.
It sounds like, we'll get final word here. Mike Tomlin always does his press conference
on Tuesday. But after the game, you know, he's being stubborn. It's, you know, nothing's changed.
We're going to continue to go down the path that we're going.
But, you know, it's clear to everybody who's watching the Steelers right now
that they desperately need a quarterback change just to get the ball downfield
and get these, you know, playmaking receivers that they have.
Just get them in better spots here right now.
But it seems like Mike Tomlin's going to be stubborn
and stick with Mitch Trubisky until he gets hurt at this point.
So they're flushing the season right down the toilet here.
but on their side of the ball,
there's nothing really to write up here.
I did write up Pat for Armoot.
It was ugly there.
He didn't have any catches until the final three minutes of that game
whenever he caught two passes in a row for 41 yards.
So that's certainly going to be a possibility.
Yeah.
He lays a goose egg at some point playing with Mitch Trubisky.
This offense isn't going to score a lot of points.
He's a red zone target.
So, you know, that was my only real takeaway from the
Steelers side of the ball. Jalen Warren's getting factored in a little bit more than
Naugie Harris's owners probably want to see, but the Steelers have been kind of telling us all
telling us that all summer that they wanted to lessen his load a little bit. On the brown
side of the ball, I mean, I've been really impressed by Amari Cooper the last two weeks.
He just missed some plays in week one. Only went for three for 17, but there were some
penalties that were committed against him that prevented him from having him from having
a better day and he looks like the steal of the off season right now.
They only gave up a fifth round pick.
And then we saw the wide receiver market explode right after that.
I wrote this up and, you know, he's gone for back-to-back 100-yard games for the first
time since his second season with the Oakland Raiders at that time.
He had only two 100-yard games all of last year, including the postseason playing for the Cowboys.
So he's, you know, him and Jacoby percent are locked right now.
Is, uh, is, uh, David and Joku on the waiver wire because that was a really impressive
game for him? Yeah, he's one of those mixed, you know, he's like 60, about 65% owned.
So, you know, guys that we don't really write up. So, uh, but yeah, I mean, he, he had been
pretty quiet through the first two weeks and it seemed like they went out of their way to,
uh, really target him against Pittsburgh zone defense. And, uh, Steelers just had no answer for him
in the middle of the field.
New Orleans and Carolina, Tom.
First and foremost, I mean, impressive by Chris Olive with James throwing those yolo,
but he's got to be an up kind of guy here.
Absolutely.
And both Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry left that game early.
Yep.
With ankle injury for Jarvis Langley and a foot injury for Michael Thomas.
So both of those are, you know, items that we want to watch this week.
They do play in London as well on Sunday morning.
that can affect, you know, travel, you know, if these guys are close, maybe they get left behind.
So something to watch there.
But, you know, Olave is going to get these prayer balls every week.
And he's going to connect on a few of them.
And he was pretty efficient this week with 13 targets, catching nine of them for 147.
So he's like locked in as a guy you got to start right now as like a wide receiver too.
What do we do with Camara?
I mean, first and foremost, James has been terrible.
So, and they're already, Dennis Allen is already saying I'm sticking with him as the starting quarterback.
Obviously, he's playing through a broken back.
Camara, two catches on seven targets.
I mean, at least he got the seven targets.
Yeah, that's why I just don't think there's much we can do with him.
He, you know, played 48 of 69 snaps, which is, you know, solid.
It's not ideal.
We'd like to have more, you know, we've seen him up.
like in that 80% snapshot range.
Not happening right now.
But it was at 70% at least this week playing through the rib injury.
I mean, he saw the seven targets.
Just no connection there with James.
So I don't want to press the panic button just yet.
You know, he was coming back, first game back from a rib injury.
So just didn't happen for him against, you know,
a pretty good Panthers defense on the other side.
It's, Tom, I mean.
on, man. Dejig Moore. I mean, the Baker is so much worse than I imagined. Yeah. I mean, this is, this is, I mean, he would have had 100 passing yards if Leviska should not, then make a couple guys miss and score a 67 yard touchdown. Uh, it's so bad. I mean,
shy Smith is still out there getting tired. I, like, I don't know, six targets, one catch two yards. I mean, he's on your bench until further notice. We got a ton of questions about him yesterday in our live stream. And like, there were,
instances where we benched them. There are instances where we played them. And I just feel bad for the people I
recommend. And we play them. Like, this is pathetic. I mean, he did see six targets. He, you know, it was,
you know, he led the team. But there's just absolutely no connection between him and Mayfield at this
point. This, this offense is, you know, Chris McCaffrey is turning into Derek Henry, apparently,
you know, just racking up a lot of carries because they have no confidence in Baker Mayfield.
Who would have thought that their, their quarterback situation would, you know, it hasn't gotten
worse. It's better than Sam Darnold, but certainly no upgrade from whenever Teddy Bridgewater was there
two years ago. I think Baker is not even the player that Teddy Bridgewater was a couple years ago.
So it's a sad state of affairs for DJ Moore at this point. He's a guy that you can bench,
depending on matchups, moving forward. Tom, let's get to Houston and Chicago. What a crap fest
this game was. I mean, Davis Mills with a terrible interception at the end.
But hey, they stuck to their word.
Damien Pierce got the ball in this football game.
And right now he's looking like an RB2, Tom,
because I know the Texans are 02 and 1,
but they've been competitive this year.
Yeah, it was just a weird week one where Rex Burke had got the touches for some reason.
But ever since then, I don't know if it was an owner or somebody up at the top of the front office
gotten to Lovie Smith's here or Pep Hamilton's here.
And it's been all Damien Pierce since.
and, you know, that's why people were, you know, reaching for him in the fifth, sixth round at the end of the summer.
But the usage is promising.
We'd like to see more work in the passing game.
That might come at some point, though.
I don't think anybody really anticipated passing work necessarily early in the season, but he's a guy that showed, you know, some skills as a receiver at Florida.
So maybe that will eventually develop.
Maybe he could become more of a high-end RB2 if that, uh, you know,
becomes part of the equation. But for the time being, I mean, getting 20 carries,
goal line work, we'll take that from a guy that was a lesser-known prospect coming into
the spring here. And he's certainly turning some heads with his play right now.
Tom, let's go. First and foremost, I'm going to watch Brandon Cooks. I'm not like super concerned
because at least Mills at times is a competent passer, but his production has gone down in three
consecutive games and targets. But, of course, that goes from 12 to 10.
to seven. So it's not like we're in full-blown panic mode here, but just something to keep an eye on.
that connection hasn't been perfect. Now, switching over to Chicago, Tom, with the exception of
Khalil Herbert, who's going to be the top Waverwire pickup of the week, I would think for a lot of
people, it's everybody down. Justin Fields is the worst quarterback in the NFL by an appreciable
margin. Did you see the stat I tweeted, Tom? Yeah, about the fewer than 10 completions in the
past three games. I mean, it's not even close. He's the worst quarterback in football.
Yeah, it's, it's unreal.
They've won two games somehow.
Those Tebow teams were three and O, by the way.
Oh, I mean, maybe they're reinventing football then.
Oh, yeah, they sure are.
I mean, the interceptions were terrible.
I mean, at least Mooney got six targets, but like,
at least, yeah.
Who cares?
I mean, who cares?
How are you playing Darnell Mooney right now for fantasy?
I mean, he's a guy I'd be putting at the end of my bench.
I got to see anything, anything out of Dougson.
I'd drop him for Romeo Dubs in a second.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'd drop him for Greg Dorsch in a second right now.
Like, I mean, it's pathetic.
And by the way, with David Montgomery,
look, the guy was obviously looking good so far this year,
at least in week two, he looked really good.
But this is the worst of both worlds if you have David Montgomery.
Number one, the offense stinks.
Number two, Khalil Herbert came out and looked great in this game.
So it could be,
for Montgomery even when he gets back. Yeah, and he got listed with a knee slash ankle.
I saw Edwin put something up that, you know, if it's knee, you know, either way, it's,
you know, looking, you know, it could be a high ankle. If it's a sprained knee, you know,
we're probably looking at a four to six week injury. Hopefully we'll get some clarification
this afternoon, but this looks like it could be the type of injury where, you know, it's a spot on
the IR and he's missing at least.
these four games. So just when he starts to build a little bit of momentum here,
it's looking like he's going to be shelved for at least a few weeks here.
Kansas City and Indianapolis, this was obviously a weird game. I mean, Kansas City,
after two really good games, I mean, lacked any sort of explosiveness against a
cult defense that wasn't stopping anybody. Like, their only downfield work was like,
it wasn't even a downfield play, Juju with a catch and run. I mean, the run game wasn't
working. Mahomes led him in rushing.
Edwards O'Lear caught five for 39, but he had zero rushing yards.
I was going to say, he had more rushing touchdowns than rushing yards in this game, Joe.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Without getting a closer look at that game, I'm probably just inclined to say it was a weird
one for Kansas City, you know, and our guy, Sky Moore, man, like, I want to see him
get some offensive snaps, but when he muffs the opening punt, I mean, are they going to
trust them?
Like, yeah, eight snaps for, I mean, he's.
Well, that's up from last week.
Yeah, yeah, he played on two kneel downs last week.
So at least a little bit of an upgrade.
He's a guy.
If you don't blame you if you don't want to wait it out,
if you've been stashing them on your bench,
you know, it might take some time for it to happen.
Clyde Edwards, Lera, I mean, he's...
He is such a weird one.
Yeah, I mean, I would not blame anybody for wanting to sell high on him.
He played fewer than, fewer snaps than Derek McKinnon,
for the second straight week.
No rushing yards.
You know, he luckily caught five passes this week,
but he's a guy that if you want to sell high on,
I have no issues with that.
Yeah. Go ahead.
It feels like he's like a flex play by usage.
Yes.
But he's a high-end RB2 by production.
Yeah.
And at some point, that's probably going to even out.
And those high-end RB2 games are going to turn into flex if lucky.
we could run into some, you know, potentially like,
dods here in the near future if his playing time doesn't,
you know, his carries and everything don't increase here in the next couple of weeks.
The only thing I have to say for the Coles is they're so easy to break down for fantasy.
First and foremost, because they're terrible.
But they average, by the way, they average 3.8 yards per play in this game and won it.
But Michael Pittman's up.
When he's active, I mean, he has to be in your lineup.
he's the only guy Matt Ryan super trust.
Yeah, and the rest of this offense is just a bunch of parts.
Jonathan Taylor, man, this offensive line is really dragging him down.
21 carries for 71 yards, but at least they're trying to find other ways to get him involved.
He had the five targets in the game, three catches.
So it's not pretty.
If you've used the number one overall pick on them, you have plenty of reasons to be concerned at this point.
but yeah this this offense is pretty easy to break down here i don't think we need to spend too much
more time on them uh buffalo and miami tom this was a a lot floppier game than i anticipated it seemed
like the heat was getting to everybody especially buffalo um did you have any takeaways from
this game i mean devon single terry catches nine passes for 78 yards and a touchdown
yeah if he's going to catch passes man yeah i i i
just don't know if this is sustainable.
Alan, they were 63 times, by the way.
Yeah, they played, they had 90 plays to 39 for the Dolphins.
I was looking at this box court this morning, writing up a bet against the
dolphins here for week four, since they play, they had to play Thursday night after
facing 90 plays in Miami Heat, so, I don't know, really.
I mean, I guess maybe we got to watch Gabe Davis and Dawson Knox, pretty quiet
performances out of those two. Davis dropped the touchdown. I think it would have been a tough catch.
So they were trying to play three injuries there. Of course, Gabe Davis missed last week with the
ankle injury and Dustin Knox has a foot injury. But I don't know. We're really what to say. I mean,
that's Singletary line. I don't, you know, I don't see that as sustainable. But no,
that's Foles gold there. If you're going to start chasing that production, moving forward from
Singletary.
running backs.
I, like, both down.
Like, how do you try?
I mean, they only ran 39 plays, but they're back to Edmonds now.
Like, what's going on here?
I, I don't think there's really much rhyme or reason to anything they're doing in that
backfield.
It's, it feels like it's just a heavy rotation.
Yeah, Mosterts still played more snaps, 56% of the snaps to 44.
So that was kind of, that was the switching week two.
but Edmund scores the two touchdowns.
But the running game has been like non-existent for the dolphins.
I thought they would have, you know,
I don't think they would be one of the best rushing teams in the league.
But when you get Mike McDaniel,
I was expecting at least a middle of the pack rushing attack from this offense.
And that just has not happened here so far.
Yeah, just 39 plays.
And we got to watch.
We should do it too, a watch.
Absolutely.
That is so weird.
I mean, he said it was his back.
I don't know, man.
I saw him stumbling.
Yeah, well, and it was, you know, a whiplash situation where, you know, the head snaps back and hits the ground like that.
So, I mean, everything, all the indications were that it was a concussion, but they're claiming it was a back.
I already saw the NFLPA is, I don't know if they actually filed the grievance, but they're looking into potentially filing a grievance.
over the situation. So they have the quick turnaround to Thursday.
If this bass back slash head injury or whatever we are going to determine it is this week,
it could potentially hold him out on Thursday. So that's something to monitor here.
Detroit and Minnesota, unfortunately, not that I'm like, not that I'm obviously panicking or anything.
That's not the case here. But you got to move Swift down because he's clearly a little limited with the ankle injury.
and freaking Jamal Williams is a bothersome fly here.
Like he comes out, he plays well,
they're going to keep giving Jamal Williams snaps.
Now, even Craig Reynolds was getting snaps.
Right, but if Swift is healthy,
I don't think Reynolds is going to get snaps.
But he's not healthy, but, but yeah, I mean, it's, ugh.
This is one of those, these are always,
I hate these types of situations where a guy is clearly playing through an injury
and they're watching his snaps.
It's just not a, I'd rather, you know, as a fantasy player,
rather my guy sit for a week or two, get back to full strength, then, you know, rely on a guy
that's going to be limited, you know, snaps are going to be limited in the game. And, you know,
Swift kind of was bailed out the last week or two with, with long runs. Not that those don't count,
but now that we take away the 50-yard run here from last week when he was playing through the ankle
injury, this is the kind of production that we get, three-for-15 receiving and seven carries. You know,
we see Jamal Williams getting 20 in this game,
getting all the goal line work,
scores two more touchdowns.
Just very frustrating right now for Swift.
Minnesota, Dalvin Cook, obviously,
another shoulder injury,
and he says he's going to be active.
Back on the Detroit side,
I think didn't all the wall pick up an injury?
He limped off, but I think he came back.
Okay, okay, okay.
Okay, I just wanted to make sure.
I just remember watching Red Zone
and I thought that came up. So he did come back in that game.
Yeah, he came up in that game. Yeah, he didn't, I think there was like,
probably one of those like you roll an ankle or something like that.
Okay, I just wanted to make sure. I didn't want to miss that.
Yeah, all right.
Minnesota Cook, he said, with a shoulder injury.
Yeah, Cook got the shoulder, you have to move him down. And he says he's going to be out there,
but Edwin has told us. Wasn't there a situation at the end of last year where he played through
the brace? I thought he played pretty well. Yes, yes, he keeps doing it. But like Edwin says,
every time you heard it, it makes it more likely that you heard it again.
Like, so that, by the way, that's Dr. Edwin Porris at FantasyPoints.com who does an amazing job.
And this was his exact worry with Dalvin Cook.
I mean, the good news is he had a great game.
He didn't catch a pass, which we almost never see from Dalvin Cook.
But, and by the way, guys, do not panic about Justin Jefferson.
It's been too crappy games.
I mean, well, don't panic.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, you got to panic.
to keep playing them.
Of course.
Maybe we'd just do it as a, yeah.
I'm not even watching.
Okay, okay.
I saw Heath Cummings put out a tweet
that at this point last year,
Amon Ross St. Brown was wide receiver 100.
Oh, I mean, yeah.
Oh, he wasn't even playing early in a lot.
Yeah, so, like, I mean, just like,
just like a perspective thing here for,
for the season.
Baltimore and New England,
oh, boy.
well that's daubbins i thought uh played fairly well here in his yeah i mean he had a limited role
but yeah i mean uh he up he's up he's up he's up he's up he has a pulse in this raven's backfield
at this point uh you know they're trotting out justice hill to try to give this offense juice with
one so we're not blame them for by the way because their run game was terrible i don't how can
you have lamar jackson and have a terrible run game it is yeah
Yeah, they have a lot of issues at tackle and the offensive line right now.
It's a little ugly.
Yeah, 48% of the snaps for Justice Hill and 43% for Dobbins.
So that's pretty solid first game for Dobbins there.
Hopefully that potentially flips here in the near future.
But, you know, it was about what we would expect from Dobbins,
but he got through the game and, you know,
racked up 40 yards here.
So, you know, it's a start for him.
Um, Mack Jones obviously picked up what looks to be a high ankle sprain.
Um, that's horrible news, um, especially since Tom, this was the Ramandre Stevenson
breakout game we were waiting for.
Yeah, it finally came.
Uh, I know we got some, thank you.
At least I did.
I know you probably did too for, we told a lot of people to play Stevenson this week in the,
the Sunday shows that we do on our discord and finally came through.
We kept the faith with Ramondri and it finally paid off.
This is the type of formances that we are expecting to get.
He was active in the passing game.
But unfortunately, like you said, Mac Jones is hurt now.
You know, I don't know if it's going to be a dramatic follow-off from him to Brian Hoir at this point.
I don't think Mac Jones has played particularly well, dating back to the last month or so of last season.
But it's certainly at least a little bit of a downgrade for the entire office.
And then obviously, Jacobi Myers.
Yeah, we'll do a little watch on him.
Devonte Parker
had what?
He had nine-yard catch the first two games.
Yeah.
And he explodes for 156.
Yeah, good for your best ball share.
It's probably not a guy your...
Yeah, that's what I was very tentative about putting him too high on our waiver wire this week.
It's probably more Fools Gold than anything.
They're still using a heavy rotation.
Aguilar is involved.
Kendra Forne.
Saw more snaps.
They were even playing Little Jordan Hummel.
free a ton here in this game. So I'm not going to get too excited by the parker news.
Cincinnati at the Jets, freaking Sima J. P. Ryan, are you, like, go away.
Well, that was, I did see that, um, they were up a lot and Mixton had a little bit of an ankle
injury. They, you know, if it was a tight, yeah, I think Taylor even said after the game that,
uh, he would have come back in if it was a more.
Okay, okay.
So they also play Thursday night.
So, you know, it might be something that we watch, but it sounds like he should be,
should be ready to go for Thursday night.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, let's, well, we definitely got to watch him because it is the short week.
So.
Yes.
Yeah, which I think may have played into the decision not to put him back into the game as well.
Yeah.
So another 50 plus pass.
By the way, how did T. Higgins come back into that game?
Oh, my gosh.
After suffering a concussion.
Which one was worse?
I don't know. Higgins or twos.
I mean, holy crap, man.
Both of those were very sketchy.
But, yeah, and then he came out and played pretty well the rest of the way.
He had that past that almost was a touchdown.
That toe tap, I guess they said he touched the chalk a little bit, but that was an impressive.
It looked like a touchdown to me.
I know.
Tom, I don't know what else.
I mean, the Bengals, you just got to keep, you just got to keep pumping away, right?
I mean, they're going to get something figured out here.
Yeah, I think they made some positive strides in this game.
This is another one I was saying I bet the Bengals minus three on Thursday night.
They came out aggressive.
I think it was 17 of their first 21 plays where passes.
It kind of looked like the offense that we saw late last season in their Super Bowl run.
We'll see.
They'll be tested this week against the blitz of the dolphins.
the offensive line made some strides in this game,
but yeah, it's, it's, it made progress this week.
It was against an inferior opponent, like the Jets.
It's exactly what we wanted to see here.
Here's the thing with the Jets.
I write every week that like they're running like a million plays.
This isn't sustainable.
And then every week, Breeze Hall has 47 targets.
Like, what am I supposed to do with that?
Like, well, yeah, this is tough.
This, it kind of sounds like this was the week that they were targeted.
for Zach Wilson to return to the lineup.
So I kind of think that might be a downgrade for all these receivers,
because I don't think they're going to have as much volume as they've had with Flacco.
They also have the Steelers this week, so there's going to be like no offense.
How many games does Wilson have to miss?
I don't think he has to miss.
Was he IR?
Did they put him?
I don't think so.
I thought they left them off IR.
Yeah, I'm not sure there.
So I don't think he's on IR.
I think week four was kind of what they were targeting from early in the season here.
Yeah, all right.
So I'm going to watch Zach Wilson, Garrett Wilson here, as kind of a catch-all because like, because Zach Wilson might be back.
Yeah.
Yeah, that worries me.
I just don't see them having as much passing volume with Zach Wilson running the offense.
And Garrett Wilson also, he came back into that game.
Thank God I had an over on his receiving.
guards and he was like literally a half a yard from going over his total. So thank you,
Garrett Wilson for toughing it, you know, toughing it out and getting back into the line up there.
Vegas and Tennessee, Tom, there is one O and three team in the NFL.
As everybody predicted, it would be the Raiders. And the three teams they've lost to have
only beaten the Raiders. Not a great sign, is it? Derek Henry.
Hey. Looks like Darren Scrolls out there. The passing game work. What was that?
They were doing like design screens for them.
Yeah, that was unexpected, I guess.
Well, they needed it, Tom, because, and see, this is, I don't think the Titans are going to be very good.
No.
But this is, this is, in theory, good coaching, okay?
We can't get the run game going.
So throw the ball to Derek Henry.
It's not like he can't catch.
I mean, I'm not telling you, he's not, he's not Roger Craig out there, but like, throw him the ball, get him in space and it worked.
Yeah.
It was pretty much the difference in the game here.
Yeah, it's the best he's look.
Even the running game had some success here.
Offensive line has been a major concern, and Taylor Glewan getting hurt.
But they at least finally had some success on the ground, and, you know, this was certainly
their most complete performance to this point.
I don't really see anything with the Raiders.
I mean, I guess we can watch Renfro.
Yeah, I mean, but like Matt has been a buzz kill, but.
Mack Hollins is out here.
looking like a Jerry Rice.
What the hell? Yeah, I mean,
their guys all kind of got
their numbers. I mean, outside
of Darren Waller, just going for three.
Who dropped the touchdown that was picked off, by the way.
Yep, yep, yep. Car got the
300 yards.
Jacobs ended up playing, and
he had five catches for 31 yards out of
nowhere, so everybody kind of got their
production outside of Darren Waller here.
Philly and Washington.
That was an ass kicking.
That was a complete ass kicking.
that seems to be a trend.
I mean, I don't know.
Devante Smith up.
Like this, how many receiver duos in the NFL are better than Smith and Brown?
Chase Higgins, Waddle Hill, but it's in the, it's in that upper echelon, I would say right now.
I mean, it's unbelievable.
Hertz, Hertz goes for 340 and three touchdowns, and he only runs for 20 yards.
So now even in games when he doesn't run, like, I mean, oh, man.
Yeah, he's quickly rising up the MVP odds and for good reason here.
He's been the fantasy MVP, I'd say, at least of the quarterbacks to this point of the season.
I mean, everything you do that we, I know you probably drafted him a ton.
I drafted him a ton.
Our subscribers drafted him a ton.
This is exactly what we've won.
We stacked him with Goddard in a.
Yeah, did he pick up an injury?
Yeah, he came back, but Calcutera getting some of the way.
That guy can run.
I know.
I thought for a second it was Goddard.
I'm like, damn, this guy's moving well.
Yeah, so he's a watch.
He came back into the game.
It was a shin injury.
But he came back, but certainly something to watch, you know,
things swell up over, you know, over time.
Yeah, he's been playing great so far too.
Did you see anything from the commanders here, Tom?
Because, I mean, Wence is freaking Wence.
I mean, like, he was, he was atrocious in this game.
Like, now the first two games, he was a troachers.
trocious in the first half and great in the second half.
He was just atrocious across the board in this one.
Yeah, and his offensive line did him no favors in the game either.
So, yeah, I mean, I don't really see much here.
Outside of the fact that Curtis Daniels led them in targets in every game so far.
I mean, he's been great.
I mean, he's basically many Debo Samuel at this point.
Yeah, I don't really see much.
Maybe Gibson a little worried about here.
but we still have another week or so.
They cannot run the football at all.
Yeah, I know.
Their offensive line is really struggling.
Gibson is not a pure runner.
Definitely something to watch.
If Brian Robinson's out there on your waiver wire guys.
Yeah, I put him at, he's like 52% on them,
but I put him relatively high in our waiver wire just because they need some juice in that backfield.
And it seems like he might not be back right in week five,
but it doesn't seem like it's going to last until like, no.
November. I see him coming back in the next like three to four weeks probably.
LAC and Jacksonville, I mean, could I have been more wrong about James Robinson? I mean.
Oh, I know. He's single-handed. Now, I will say this, and I will say this. He has two long
touchdown runs in the last two weeks on which he was literally untouched, literally. Yeah, but at some point,
we have to give credit to play design and. Oh, for sure. Yeah. So, I mean, I mean, Doug
Peterson is coaching his ass off here so far.
I guess Trevor Lawrence isn't a bust.
I guess maybe it was just terrible coaching last year from Urban Meyer.
Zaid Jones is turning into a star.
You know, Christian Kirk gets it done every week.
I mean, what else can you say here?
Is Lawrence Waverwire, Tom?
Yeah, he's like one of those 65% of, you know, he's like a high-owned.
He might even be higher than that.
He might be worth a write-up.
He might actually be.
I'm going to put him as an up.
I'm going to put him as an up.
Yeah, that's a good way to kind of write up the offense at this point.
Yeah.
And by the way, it was good to see Peterson.
This was another example of good coaching.
End of that game.
Get E.T.N going a little bit.
Hell, if you used E.T.N.
He got you over 10 points in a PPR.
Yeah, got the 75 yards.
He got over the two and a half receptions for a prop I gave out.
So thank you for getting that last catch late in that game.
So, yeah, this is, I mean, geez, Christian Kirk, man.
another guy.
I didn't have coyed enough.
I got him in some spots,
but he is just coming through every week at this point.
How about the offseason bulky had?
Everybody's laughing out of it.
I know.
I know.
He's,
hey, he's,
he,
maybe he really is a wide receiver one.
He got the,
he got that wide receiver one money and,
uh,
he's backing it up here so far.
Anything here from the chargers,
Tom.
I mean,
in hindsight,
and hindsight is obviously,
20,
Herbert probably shouldn't have played in this game.
Yeah,
I mean,
I mean,
we've got to probably watch him.
I think he's,
he's going to continue to play,
but maybe he's even a slate down.
I mean,
we probably need a little bit from Edwin here,
but I have to suspect that he's,
you know,
the injury and the pain isn't just going to go away.
In the time being here,
it's probably going to take a few more weeks.
So we could see some down performance.
is, you know, in the next two to three weeks.
So not having Keenan Allen has probably heard him a little bit too.
Got to watch him.
It seemed like he was close, though.
So he should, you would think that he would be back in the lineup this week.
But you can't have Mike Williams catch one ball on six targets whenever your other
best receiver is out of the game here.
I made a good call.
Tom, remember I told you I had that Jerry, Judy, or Aguilar call?
Well, once I heard Herbert was playing, I took Judy out and put Josh Palmer in.
that worked. Hey, there you go. Yeah, we, we, uh, we played at six for 99, uh, you know,
a long reception there, but yeah, he's, he's, he's been just fine. Uh, I can't believe how little,
he's, he's, he's barely, you know, he's like 25% owned in, in fantasy leagues, but he's been,
he's been great if, if there's any injuries of Mike Williams or Keenan Allen moving forward.
He's, he's, yeah, that's actually a really good point. I can't believe, I can't believe that.
Yeah, I, it didn't budge at all even after last week and he scored a touchdown. It's just weird, but, uh, he's a guy that's a
wide receiver three if one of those guys misses.
Yeah, no doubt about it.
Okay.
Do you have any concerns about Eckler?
It's just not, they're really trying to take carries away from them.
You know, Sony Michelle and Josh Kelly have been active behind him.
I just don't know.
They're offensive line.
I mean, it is something to watch maybe here.
Roshan Slater did pick up an injury.
I think he was an all-pro.
It was a rookie last year, or at least he was.
in consideration of being an all-pro.
It wasn't Corey Lindley out of this game as well.
Yes.
So, you know, all of a sudden they have some offensive line issues.
Herbert's not playing as effectively as he was,
but he still got there with the eight catches.
But, you know, he just has been ineffective as a runner here so far this season.
Yeah.
So, yeah, definitely something to, I think we'll just keep an eye on Echler.
And remember, he was somebody this all season who was like,
we got to manage my touches,
but this game got away from them early,
so they weren't going to run the ball anyway in this one.
LA and Arizona,
I hate watching Arizona.
Oh, yeah.
It's like shades of the Russell Wilson offenses.
And like, just no flow to it.
It's just run around back there and hope Kyler Murray makes a few plays.
But he didn't even have a touchdown pass in this game.
58 attempts.
By the way, Cam Acres ran angry on that touchdown run.
Yeah, that was, I mean, he's back up, man.
It looked like he was in the doghouse after week one,
but he's clearly the guy again.
And, yeah, he's looked better here the last two weeks.
So maybe he isn't quite dead just yet.
Alan Robinson down.
They're just not, dude, how about freaking Scaroniac, the fullback?
Yeah, I know they've been, that was, I know Greg pointed that out in the matchup, the matchup, the matchup, uh, live stream with John and, and, uh, Adam there. He's made some plays, though, uh, four for 66 in this one.
Adam Robinson, didn't he, he had like a chance in a touchdown, too, though. Uh, he does get in some red zone targets, but it's just a weird game overall. I mean, Cup, for whatever reason, three of his four down performances since last year,
all come against the Cardinals, which is like a defense.
You'd think he'd have a ton of success against.
Yeah.
I mean, Hollywood up.
This is kind of what I've expected so far.
That dork prop was the easiest prop I'll hit all season,
over three and a half catches.
Well, yeah, but he did.
I thought he got a concussion at the end of the first half
when he was sitting at three catches.
I was sweating it out, but he did come back in.
I mean, Ron Dale Moore, I mean, this is a waiver wire guy,
but if Rondale Moore comes back in the lineup and steps into Dorchester, like, he's a got to get got to add.
I mean, we saw Christian Kirk really play well out of that spot in Cliffs' offense last year.
So we want to get access to these slot receivers for the Cardinals.
Yeah, but here's the other thing.
Will Rondale Moore get in Dorch's spot?
I don't know.
This is fascinating because they did have A.J. Green got hurt in that game.
You can't play those guys on the perimeter, I would think.
They were playing some guy, A. Bacolalia.
Yeah, like I said.
The all Italian guys were playing.
That's the guy I said, it sounds like you'd give him a standing ovation
after he sings the Ave Maria.
Like that, there's no way, there is no way Bachelia.
Bachelia isabella.
Yeah, does not, Andre Bachelia.
no way he does not have a beautiful singing voice.
I'll tell you that about him.
Hollywood up, A.J. Green's hurt.
I mean, he's going to get, this is the, this might be the least imaginative offense in the entire NFL.
I mean, how do you have Kyler Murray?
And he does not have a rush attempt until the fourth quarter.
I'm not telling you to run the triple option, Tom.
Yeah, James Connor, ineffective, trying to play through that ankle injury.
Probably something, I mean, at least a watch, maybe even a dead.
He's in effect.
You know, he's had the ankle issues throughout his career here.
So just, just ugly all the way around here for Cardinals.
12 points.
No, that's bad.
Atlanta and Seattle.
Kyle Pitts, baby.
Oh, we're not trying to play a fantasy football team here.
Yeah, get the ball and hands your best player.
Look what happens.
Yep, as I think you said on Twitter there, Joe, you know, you play a little fantasy football
and it works for you.
How about poor
Harold then?
You're kidding me with this guy?
He's incredible.
Yeah, I got him on a couple team.
It's just one of those guys who just fell so late and draft.
You know,
nobody wanted them and gets one injury with Damien Williams
and now he's back to being the guy.
And I, you know, who knows how long it's going to last.
Maybe you try to sell high, but,
or you just ride it out and use them as like a high end or B2 right now.
and use them until the wheels fall off here.
So it's been fantastic.
The new offense, the pistol offense that they're running has been very effective for him as well.
So.
I mean, all their guys came through, Drake London scores a touchdown.
I mean, nice little fantasy day for all their three relevant guys.
So Travis Homer gets hurt in this game.
Oh, yeah.
And they still use a three-man rotation in that backfield?
Yeah, they're all dead.
They're dead.
Dead!
No, don't play Rashon Penny.
Don't play Ken Walker.
Don't play it.
They're done.
Unbelievable.
Yeah, we've got to get DJ Dallas in the mix here when Travis Homer gets hurt.
Yeah, it's like buzz off.
Like, we knew this was like a possibility had an end of the year, but just complete mismanagement.
I mean, let's get scrubs onto the field and take two, you know, basically first and second round draft prospects off the field
and Penny and Walker. It makes no sense.
Green Bay and
Tampa Bay. Touchdown
Tom needs his wide receivers back,
man. Yeah, he probably
should, you know, he's at least getting
Mike Evans back this week.
We'll see. That was
kind of an ominous report
that Holyo Jones
has a partially torn PCL.
But you think that
he might be back in the mix.
Chris Godwin as well.
This is probably about the range, because they never
put him on injured reserve.
So you would think that maybe he could be back in the mix this week.
So maybe it will get a little bit better here.
But he avoided disaster.
I mean, that last drive, I had the under on his passing prop.
It was that he was sitting under.
He was like sitting at like 185 yards going into that last drive and got to 271 yards
and got a passing touchdown.
But I don't know how you can play Brady right now with any kind of common.
offense. Yeah, it's just until he gets the
line's not. Yeah, even the offensive line
isn't helping them out much here, but
just, just playing with scrubs
is, you know, Russell Gage, I mean, 13
targets for 87 yards.
Not exactly great there,
but at least he has a pulse for him.
Yeah, but Gage,
hey, whatever, I mean, the guy bawled out
for him when he lost a fumble, but
there's a guy who
At least somebody stepped up for him. Yeah, there's a guy
who, you know, probably earned some
trust from Brady. And speaking of that,
Tom. You have to imagine if you drafted Romeo Dobbs, this had to be the game you wanted to see.
He caught all eight of his targets and scored a touchdown. Like, that's going to earn him snaps with Aaron Rogers.
Yeah, a waiver wire guy. I think, I think, well, after Herbert, but Herbert's pretty widely owned. He's like 50% of leagues.
So, in a lot of leagues, he's not going to be on there. For most people, Dobbs is going to be the guy that is the go-to guy off the
waiver wire.
Sammy Wackens picked up his yearly hamstring or, you know, soft tissue injury.
They put him on the IOR.
So at the very least, he's got a three-week runway here to just absolutely cement his
position in this receiving core.
Did it, you know, did it in, you know, the first game possible for him.
He was playing alongside Lazard.
He finished with 89% of the snaps.
So they used him like a full-time receiver.
he played like a full-time receiver.
This could be the start of some big things for dogs.
San Francisco and Denver, to wrap it up,
is there anybody fantasy players hate more than Melvin Gordon, by the way?
Oh, my God, yeah.
It's, it's in...
Nathaniel Hackett's a freaking doofus, by the way.
He is, he is.
Of course, freaking Gordon gets the touchdown run at the end of the game.
But he tried it like everything possible to give the ball to the 49ers.
I mean, he had those two fumble.
you know, one was right on top of the goal line.
I mean, he tried like crazy to get the 40,
give the 49ers the game.
But, of course, he gets the touchdown weight to cement the win for them.
But just, yeah, this backfield, it's still going to be frustrating.
But I guess the one good thing is with Javante,
I mean, they are trying to get him involved in the passing game weekly.
I mean, he's been, being, he's seen a healthy number of targets.
but it just didn't happen last week.
Two receiving guards in the game.
Russell Wilson stinks right now.
Like flat out stinks.
Like, I mean, I'm not saying it's not going to get better
because I almost have to imagine it will.
But like 2033 for 184, that's pathetic.
Yeah, I mean, thank God he has Cortland Sutton at this point too.
He's the only one really making plays for this offense
in the passing game at least.
Jerry Judy
I don't know if that was injury related
Could have been
Maybe maybe maybe
But I kind of feel like he's down a little bit anyway
I mean this doesn't this offense
It kind of feels like it revolves around court with something at this point
And that was kind of the big question
Yeah it was kind of the big question heading into the season
Who was it going to be Judy or Sutton
And it feels like Sutton's kind of
Submended himself as that number one target here for
Yeah I mean Wilson Wilson
Wilson barely gets to 10 points in fans
I mean, what, Tom, it is terrible. It is brutal out there.
Yeah, he's single-handling. I'm going to lose in the guillotine league. I think I'm getting
eliminated. And I had a freaking, I have a good team. I'm going to lose Chris, you know,
guy Chris McCaffrey, Debo, Samuel, Michael, Tom, I had a really good lineup. And Russell Wilson
and Joe Flacco single-handedly submarine my team this week. Yeah, I picked up Romeo Dobbs and
started him this week. And there you go. He and Devante Smith are going to carry me.
because Kyler Murray sure as heck wasn't.
