Oh, this is the week six recap.
Starting point is 00:01:02 We are in week seven here at FantasyPoints.com. My name is Joe. His name is Tom. And I apologize if you were looking forward to this podcast. last week. Well, we recorded it, but we didn't record it. We talked and the recording didn't process. So we had like 11 minutes. Yeah, 11 minutes of gold, I think it was, Joe. And lost forever to the, I don't know, Tom, maybe they'll make a, maybe they'll make a documentary. Peter Jackson will make one like get back, you know? Exactly. I mean, the podcast that never aired about
Starting point is 00:01:34 the greatest week five recap of all time. I mean, it was. I mean, we actually went like an hour. But of course, we lost, even if we got like a half an hour, maybe we would have put it out, like at least covered half of the games. But a 11-minute podcast, probably covering about two games, did not seem worth the time. And I sure as hell wasn't recording it again. No, no, no, yeah. We actually, you know, we've said this at the top earlier this year, but we've been doing this
Starting point is 00:02:02 call forever. And this is kind of how we build our market report article that appears on the site that It's been a mainstay since we started. So, yeah, so we still got our work done in terms of that and, you know, figuring out who we're going to write. So we weren't going to go back to it, though. We had a lot of shit to do on Monday. So we're going to hope that this records, though, today.
Starting point is 00:02:26 So we should be good. I'm currently monitoring it, and it looks pretty good for the first 90 seconds. So let's, before, before things go, go right, what we do is, Tom, we go through each and every game. We talk about the ups, the downs, the guys we got to watch just because of maybe an injury or maybe a developing situation. And then we talk through it. You, me and our guy Sam Wagman, we write it up and we put it in an article form too. So that there is a way to access that at fantasy points.com for subscribers. Use code Broly 22 and get an extra 10% off.
Starting point is 00:03:01 We're already 25% off for the season because, you know, well, the season is partially over. Okay, Tom, so let's talk about Washington. and Chicago. What a crap fest this game was. And I mean, you've already kind of analyzed this game. Yeah, there's not a whole lot to analyze here, Joe. And if you watch the game, you probably know. But my one big takeaway was probably the Brian Robinson's the guy. They kind of eased him in in week five, but week six was a game script where they could run the ball. And to be honest, though, I don't think he looked very good, but 17 for 60. He got the cheapy touchdown at the end of the game after Veles Jones fumbled that punt and set them up inside the five. And he cashed in it.
Starting point is 00:03:50 It's a great story, but I just don't know. He's a slight up. He's especially with buys here through week 14. He's going to be on the radar, but I'm just not seeing a whole lot of upside. He doesn't contribute in the passing game. the offense is, you know, bottoming out here with Carson Wentz. And I don't think Antonio Gibson's completely gone.
Starting point is 00:04:15 But Gibson, I mean, if you're playing in like an eight or ten team league, you can cut him. I mean, he's going to be the second guy here. The funny thing is, they just hate him. I mean, he got some run in that second half of that game, and he looked better than Brian Robinson. He has juice, but. I think they're just so sick of his ball security issues that they're just ready to move on, which is a shame.
Starting point is 00:04:41 He was in a half-competent offense, and he's the type of player. You want to get weekly touches, too, but it feels like he's being phased out of this offense a little bit here. I mean, Tom, what are your take on the Washington passing game without Carson Wentz? I mean, like, is it going to be worse? Is it going to be better? I mean, this is pretty ugly right now. It's hard to get much worse than 99 yards. Are they thinking that Wentz is going to miss some of the game time?
Starting point is 00:05:17 With the broken finger? Yeah, I think so. Okay. Well, I mean, are they going to get a Heineke? I take it. I would presume they go to Heineke. I think, Sam, Hal is your move. Yeah, Hal's probably more of the November-December option.
Starting point is 00:05:33 But, yeah, I mean, it's hard to. to get much worse. I think they're probably going to lean more into the running game here at the very least here, but it's hard to feel very good. I'll tell you right now, the markets don't think it's much of a difference. The Packers were four and a half, five-point favorites in that game in Washington on Monday. I don't think the line, you know, it's obviously plummeted a little bit with the Packers performance, but I don't think they see much of a difference between quarterbacks right now. And on the Chicago side, I mean, Herbert continues to make explosive plays, but Montgomery is their bell cow. I mean, when Justin Fields goes 14 to 27 for
Starting point is 00:06:11 190, a touchdown and a pick, and we consider that a good game, that's kind of where we're at on Justin Fields right now. Yeah. At the very least, Darnell Mooney's starting to have a little bit of a pulse, pulse again, couldn't come down, it ran a bad route on that, on that last gas play in the red zone there at the end of the game, didn't run into the end zone enough to, to really have a chance to secure it and score a touchdown. But he's, you know, 12 targets, seven catches. He's getting back into that, you know, wide receiver three, wide receiver four, where you can plug him into a lineup.
Starting point is 00:06:48 But it's just, he's capable of putting up, you know, a two for 25 receiving performance at any point with Justin Fields. So it's hard to feel very good about him. But he's at least trending upward here with, you know, the bearers going a little bit more pass. I mean, then they were through the first three weeks of the season. San Francisco goes to Atlanta and loses 28 to 14. Marcus Marietta throws 14 passes in this game.
Starting point is 00:07:16 It's unreal. I mean, that's kind of been the formula last couple of weeks. I mean, he's getting into the Justin Fields territory in terms of, you know, weekly completions. And I mean, Kyle Pitts, he scored a touchdown. I think this is the third game that he's had three for 19 receiving already this season. But at least he scored a touchdown. Oh, yeah. I think he only played like 50-some percent of the snaps, by the way.
Starting point is 00:07:41 So like in his return from the hamstring injury, the question is, I can't imagine that will continue. But it's the Falcons. Joe, he was like 65, 70 percent of the snaps, you know, the last couple of weeks before the hamstring injury. They're rotating everybody. I mean, go look at Drake London. I'm looking at the snaps shares here. He was at 67% of the snaps. I mean, when you can get Demer Bird and Brian.
Starting point is 00:08:05 Ryan Edwards, you know, rotating with your number one overall pick that you took eighth overall. You got to do it. But, I mean, the thing is, why is Arthur Smith going to change things now? I mean, they're winning. They're been super competitive. They're undefeated against the spread, 6 and 0. They're 3 and 3. They're competitive every week.
Starting point is 00:08:25 So Arthur Smith has no motivation to change things. And we're doing fantasy. We have to adjust to what, you know, the Falcons are doing. So he's not going to adjust to what fantasy owners want us to do as much as we pitch and complain about it. So Kyle Pitts is going to have these games where he goes for three for 19. And Marcus Marriota throws the ball 14 times. So it's unfortunate if you used a third round pick on him. He's just not going to come anywhere close to the ceiling that you hope for here.
Starting point is 00:08:58 I mean, yeah, right. And Drake London is kind of useless for fantasy right now. they're not throwing the ball enough. Like you said, they're rotating. Tyler Algier, this is exactly what I feared. And the funny part is, Tom, they're winning the Falcons. They're competitive. And Alger, I mean, first and foremost, he's being outplayed by Caleb Huntley. But secondly, he's not getting touchdown opportunities. Even in games, they're winning. He has nothing but empty calorie rush attempts. I mean, 15 rush attempts is all well and good, but he doesn't get checkdowns and he's not scoring touchdown. So he's useless.
Starting point is 00:09:29 Yeah, I mean, this entire offense, I mean, we probably don't even need to write. this up for the Mark Report because it's all useless. I mean, it's... Yeah, I'm throwing pits in there, but yeah. Yeah, the weekly update on pits that we feel obligated to do because the fantasy community is, you know, wrapped up into him. But I'm glad we didn't really push him much on the site this summer. I don't think a whole lot of our subscribers have them.
Starting point is 00:09:52 So thank God we avoided that landmine. But Damien Williams could be back in the mix. So why not throw another hat in this backfield? to split it all up. So, yeah, there's no one here that I really want to use right now. Over on the San Francisco side, this is just another one. I mean, it feels like there's a lot of these teams who, like, should be better than they are. Jeff Wilson loses a fumble.
Starting point is 00:10:17 He gets set. I mean, that guy was a hammer RB1, like in terms of usage. And they're playing from behind the entire game. Hey, at least Kittle, Iuk, and Debo all did it in the same game. I guess that we'll do a little Iyuk up just, because it's possible, like, if the 49ers aren't going to be playing from ahead, I mean, you can put up big numbers. They got the Chiefs this week, so it could continue where they have to be a little more pass-heavy.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Yeah, the Jeff Wilson stuff, I mean, I mean, we got to probably put him a slight down here. Elijah Mitchell, we're getting close to him coming back here in the next, probably next two weeks. you know that was like an eight-week injury when he suffered in week one tevin coleman's in the mix here david td td p tyrian davis price i think he played like one snap or something so he was a non-factor but it's just closing in on wilson right now you probably probably might have wanted to try to trade him last week now he has like the value is plummeting here after last week's after this week's performance in week six so but this is they're probably going to be a little bit more pass heavy again this week
Starting point is 00:11:34 since they're taking on the chiefs they're three point underdogs in that game let's go to new england in cleveland new england wins this one 38 to 15 um i said on twitter i said uh the manufactured quarterback controversy from the boston media is going to be fascinating i'm not even sure it's manufactured at this point like bill belichick refuses to answer the question like He shouldn't. I mean, at the very least, I wrote this up in the waiver wire last night, but at the very least, they're going to take their time with Mack Jones.
Starting point is 00:12:07 He has to be completely healthy. He's going to be 110% all the way back before he steps on the field again. So, yeah, he, Zappy hasn't really turned the ball over. Mac Jones was turning the ball over a lot in those first couple of games that led the losses. So we know Pellatechek isn't going to tolerate that. So I think we probably get at least one more week of Zappi to see where it goes. And we could have some sort of controversy. I know this doesn't really have anything to do with fantasy.
Starting point is 00:12:41 But I mean, it does at the end of the day. It does matter who the quarterback is and who's getting the ball here. But I think we do have a little bit of a controversy brewing here in New England. Well, you're right. Like what they can do is just wait for. for Zappi to fall on his face and then say, well, of course, there was never a controversy. Once Mac was healthy, we're going to put him in. Like, so I feel like that's probably the, what they're going to do.
Starting point is 00:13:06 But the funny part is, I mean, Aguilar was out. Tom, this is obviously a waiver wire guy, but I'm sure you wrote up Taekwon Thornton. Yeah, we put him, I put him up pretty high. I mean, yeah, you're right, Aguilar was out. Kendrick Bourne, I think, picked up an injury like right at this, yeah, you got right at the start of the game. So Thornton was at 57% of the snaps, which was pretty promising. Jacoby Myers is the one guy that we can play in this passing game.
Starting point is 00:13:35 But he had a pretty pedestrian game for his standards. So this is, we're spreading it around here. But at least it looks like there's some parts starting to step up here. Hunter Henry came through again for another game. But remandre time, baby. How about it, Joe? This is so great. I'm going to talk about this when we get, Tom, I texted our ownership group, you know,
Starting point is 00:13:57 with Scott and Graham and John and you. And I tweeted out the thought too, and I don't know exactly like how much we can prove this. But I think we're going to get to this point with Ramandre. When coaches can't outsmart themselves and like force backs into a useless rotation, it just seems like things work better, right? like Ramandre there was a point here where he had like six carries for 10 yards he was stuffed at the goal line but they didn't have somebody else to give the ball to and then he pops off the 31 yarder for the touchdown he's catching passes like it almost feels like these coaches who have to who decide oh we've got like three back so we've got to play them off it almost feels like they're hurting their offense by doing it and they're not letting players get into a rhythm and I mean remandre is clearly up on the market report that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is if Damian Harris can play this week or if they bring freaking Thai Montgomery off of IR, are they going to outsmart themselves? Yes, they will. I mean,
Starting point is 00:15:00 Belichick, we've seen it for two decades. They will go back to the rotation, unfortunately. I mean, I don't want to tell people to sell Ramondri Stevenson, but this is probably going to go back to a rotation. I mean, Harris was working out in pregame warmups and was close. they have a long history of doing it. So I know what you're saying, Joe, but there's also considerations for, you know, it's a long season. You don't want to, you know,
Starting point is 00:15:29 you run one guy into the ground. And, you know, that's why they rotate these guys to spread out the hits and to keep guys fresh for, you know, 17 games now. So that's part of the consideration. And the guys that are getting all that work, they're the special guys. And Stevenson certainly looks like. one of those special guys that doesn't he.
Starting point is 00:15:50 I mean, this has been an impressive little run here where he's been the Belcal guy, the last game and a half, and he looks the part. That's for sure. Cleveland, do we even say anything about Cleveland? No, it's the same thing. I mean, what is it? Berset was freaking terrible in this game. He was awful.
Starting point is 00:16:09 This was the first. He's, I thought he's played pretty well up until this point. And I kind of just all fell apart here. This is, and it was also like, I'm trying to think back on their schedule. I mean, they really haven't had a game where they've fallen behind by a lot and it was kind of put on his shoulder. So we saw what can happen if Reset has to carry the offense. And it was, it was not very good results for the Cleveland Brown's offense. Nick Chubb.
Starting point is 00:16:37 I mean, this is kind of the same team every week. And Joku's a weekly factor at tight end. Right. Like, what do you write up about Chubb and Hunt? Like if they're getting their asses kicked, they're not going to score. If they're in control, they're going to score points. I mean, I don't know what else to say about it. This team's pretty cut and dry.
Starting point is 00:16:52 I don't think we really need to spend much time on them right now. The Jets and the Packers. And here is the other end, Tom, of that that Remandre conversation I just had. I mean, I saw Peter Bukowski, who covers the Packers. He said it looks like A.J. Dillon is running in cement. Yeah, he doesn't look at all here. And he's getting significant. more opportunities than Aaron Jones. Again, it just feels like a coach outsmarting himself. And here's the problem with, with, there's no rhyme or reason here, right? It's just up. It's Dylan's turn. Oh, it's Jones's turn. And the Packers are, they are a hard watch right now. Yeah, everything is a struggle. The funny thing is Jones is the one that really struggled in this game. He averaged two point one's yards per carry. Dylan, you know, Dylan broke off a 19 yard run to to kind of help his average. But this,
Starting point is 00:17:44 offense is kind of stuck right now. Everything that we kind of thought could be an issue coming into the season is really developed here. They don't have that true number one wide receiver. Alan Azard is trying his best to be that guy. And he's put up some solid numbers and scoring some touchdowns. But we love dubs, but he's not, it's kind of clear that he's not quite ready for like a huge, like being the number two wide receiver in an offense.
Starting point is 00:18:17 He's a good story. He's probably going to be probably a special player over the next couple of years, but he's not quite ready to be like a set and forget it wide receiver three right now. So I think he's a little bit of a down guy for now because Sammy Watkins is unfortunately going to be coming back here. And they wanted him to play early in the season. And he's probably going to take snaps. The one good thing is, well, not good. but Randall Cobb picked up an ankle injury.
Starting point is 00:18:46 Yeah. So I don't know how they're going to. It's going to be interesting to see how they kind of align here. I don't know if Sammy will slide in there, or do they just elevate Amari Rogers into the slot? And then we have a three-way rotation for between Doves, Watkins and Lazard. It's not good.
Starting point is 00:19:06 I mean, we'll see how they kind of split up the snaps here with Watkins, probably coming back this week. let's, I mean, by the way, is Tanya and Waverwire? Yeah, he's gonna be at the time. Okay, well, he's, he's obviously a guy you can pick up now. What was his snaps this week? Let me, let me give it a look to see here. 63%.
Starting point is 00:19:27 He's still a part-time player, but I mean, he gets targets when he's out there. That, by the way, that is by far a season high for him in stage. Oh, yeah, yeah. That was, I mean, that was the super negative game script, and they were playing from behind the entire, for most, at least for most of the second half, so. But yeah, he's trending upward here. We're really struggling that tight end. So at least he has a little bit of a pulse right now.
Starting point is 00:19:50 And let's go over to the jet side. I mean, Breece Hall. And Breeze Hall is up. The entire rest of their offense is down. Yes. I mean, everything is fumbling through Breece right now. It's worked out where they've been able to do it. They're playing with Leeds the last couple of weeks.
Starting point is 00:20:08 But he's a star. And this passing game, It's kind of like the Falcons. I mean, they don't have to throw it a lot. They're not going to do it with Zach Wilson. So he's, you know, Lajamore, you can cut him. I saw him chirping on, not chirping, but he was, he was like, if I said what I wanted to say.
Starting point is 00:20:27 Yeah, you know, he kind of said what he wanted to say, but he didn't fully do it. But yeah, he's sick of it. Garrett Wilson is like vanished here because of Zach Wilson. So I can't start any of these receivers in a fantasy lineup right now. Um, yeah, and Wilson was not good, but he didn't need to be. And, and, hey, look, the Jets are like, hey, you know what? No, their, their coach, Mike LaFleur, not Matt LaFleur, their offense corner is like, you know, I don't need to get Michael Carter going because Brice Hall's already going. So why would I need to get, that's good coaching to me. After, after I know the, uh, the, the, the, the two touchdowns last week were an absolute buzzkill, which was able to be covered up a little bit because Breece had such a huge game. But, um, I will say this. The Breece Hall long touchdown run, the 34-yarder, came on a play that the looks they gave at the goal line last week set up that play for Breece Hall.
Starting point is 00:21:25 Yeah, I'm looking at the snaps here. They're playing quite a bit together here. Breece Hall was at 67% of the snaps and Carter was at 49%. So there's obviously some overlap there between the two backs. So they're definitely featuring some plays where they're both on the field. A smaller note, I mean, people probably have figured this out by now, but Uzoma is kind of playing over Tyler Conklin now. So Conklin had a nice three or four game run there, but mostly with Joe Flacco, but he's a completely off the radar at this point.
Starting point is 00:21:58 Jacksonville in Indianapolis, Jacksonville, boy, after like five, like three weeks of Christian Kirk looking like he was going to be a league winner. It's been like pulling teeth here recently. Fortunately, he got in the end zone. He's kind of back to being a wide receiver three that people thought he was going to be. ETN is awesome. James Robinson actually looked like he could play a little bit this week, which is uncommon. But they've got to, they've got to get Travis ETN the ball more. Like, I mean, this guy is just, and like, everybody's, oh, you're knocking James Robinson for having long runs. What about ETN? Well, here's the problem. ETN's actually explosive. James
Starting point is 00:22:37 Robinson isn't. James Robinson's long runs were just like Jamichael Hastie's this week. Yeah, that's a one thing I wanted to ask you about, Joe. What is this to Michael Hasty stuff? I mean, it's it's rough enough. Yeah, it's rough enough when we have a split back field and it's pretty 50-50 and now we're going to get to Michael Hasty 10 snaps. He was 16% share. That knocked both Etienne and James Robinson down below 50% of the snaps. I don't like this development at all. This is kind of a situation I think we need to watch that, see if, see if hasty is going to have a, well, that's, yeah, as much as I hate this, I don't know. Whoever does this game will have to dig in to see if there was anything pregame or,
Starting point is 00:23:20 was there any sort of injury to one of the backs, but yeah, I don't think so, Tom. Yeah, I think this is. I just think it's Doug Peterson. That's all I think it is. I mean, And I don't, I mean. And a 16% snapshot doesn't sound like a lot, but, you know, you take away three or four opportunities a game from, you know, James Robinson and Travis Etienne. And that makes a huge difference. That could be the difference between, you know, a couple points and could swing matchups. So this is something that we need to keep an eye on here. And over with Indianapolis, I mean, Dion Jackson, thanks for your service.
Starting point is 00:24:01 fella. I mean, but unfortunately, he got hurt. Yeah. I would think we get, I would think we get one or both of Jonathan Taylor and Maim Hines back this week. They were seemed to be trending in the right direction. And then that was a bit of a surprise on Saturday when they were both, you know, listed as out. So Taylor, what, he was, he mispracticed Wednesday, Thursday and was able to get a limited practice Friday. Oh, I think he practiced on Thursday and Friday. Oh, it was Thursday and right. Yeah, he practiced two days. Okay. Yeah. So, yeah, I would well, we'll obviously do a little watch
Starting point is 00:24:37 on them, but I would think that we get one or both of them back this week. So I didn't even write up Dion Jackson just because he's picked up an injury. Might be out for a little bit because he left and didn't really come back in. And Philip Lindsay is terrible. Yeah, I think they realized that.
Starting point is 00:24:54 I mean, this is good at least little information for us that this Dion Jackson can play a little bit and, you know, if something happens in this backfield in the future, I think he's got to have a big role. I mean, he looks shot out of a cannon at times the last two weeks. By the way, I just going back over to ETA, because I want to say it with ETIN,
Starting point is 00:25:16 you kind of got to play him, right? I mean, because this guy, he still hasn't scored a touchdown and he could change a game with one play. Yeah, he's, I mean, he's the last two, you know, he's been busting off some long runs and his time's going to come. a matter of one, but, you know, this hasty thing, it has me a little perturbed that he's now a factor. How about Matt Ryan putting it up 58 times? Old man, he's going to have a sore shoulder this week in practice.
Starting point is 00:25:46 They might, like, actually have some, I'm not saying they're good, but what, it feels like they might have figured out something with the offensive line this week. I hope so. Yeah, that's, the daggers do have a pretty solid defensive front. And they did not sack Ryan once. Ryan dropped back nearly 60 times and did not get sacked once. Yeah. So there you go.
Starting point is 00:26:14 I mean, they might have figured something out. Pittman was, Pittman's all right. He's alive here. But I don't think this is a recipe that they want to keep following. They want to get Jonathan Taylor going. So we'll see that. Maybe this is a positive sign. Maybe we can throw that in Taylor's little write-up that maybe the offensive line took a baby step this week against the Jaguars. Minnesota at Miami, I guess like we've got a, I mean, I hate that we're putting him up, but Tua is up. He's going to be back next week.
Starting point is 00:26:46 Oh, they officially announced that? That's pretty much. The assumption. Yes. Yeah, yeah. Bring him back for another prime time game. Oh, my gosh. There's the scrutiny in that one, because they play the Steelers on Sunday night football. So get ready for that one, America. They're going to be talking about that all game long piece back in the lineup. Can you imagine the first time he gets hit in that one? Oh, I know.
Starting point is 00:27:08 On an island game. Oh, God. I love Minnesota. We don't have to write shit about this team any week as long as somebody doesn't get hurt. Yeah, that's like I do the trends in the game, the game hubs. I mean, it's like the easiest, you know, I'm writing up, Thielen, Jefferson, Cook, cousins, and I'll do a little bit on Irv Smith and Cage, Osborne, because they'll, you know, they'll combine for eight to ten targets.
Starting point is 00:27:34 And this, yeah, this offense is pretty cut and dry. I don't think there's really anything to say about them. Cook, the one thing with Cook is, I'm very disappointed. He hasn't been more of a factor in the passing game, but, um, yeah, we can't. You kind of have to use them. I mean, yeah, that's true. They were playing, you know, from my head most of this game, but just a little bit disappointed. I thought he was going to have a bigger role in the passing game.
Starting point is 00:27:59 That was kind of the reason I liked him a lot towards the back end of the first round. But he's also, yeah, he was back up at 87% of the snaps, which was a positive. So he had started, you know, after the shoulder issue, he was in that like 60 to 65% of the snaps. So him getting back up to 87% of the snaps was a pretty good sign lot this week. over on the Miami side, man, I will say this. Is it annoying that Tyreek Hill is on the injury report? Yes, it is. But it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:28:32 I mean, the guy plays well. He cramps up. This guy should get an IV before every game because he's cramped up twice now and he's exploded twice. It's unbelievable. But with Tua coming back, I'm going to do like a kind of a tentative upgrade for Hill and Waddle because it looks like those guys are a little healthier now too. I also think even if Tua isn't back this week or in the future, I mean, we've seen, you know, the Thursday night game.
Starting point is 00:29:00 Teddy can get them the ball. That's, we've always, you know, Teddy hasn't always been the, you know, he's not the best overall quarterback and blah, blah, blah. But he's always been good to, good to receivers for fantasy at least. He, he isn't afraid to pepper guys. So even if Teddy makes some appearances later in the season, I would not be worried about him. Bill and Waddle getting theirs. Cincinnati and New Orleans. Jamar Chase had his breakout game.
Starting point is 00:29:28 Of course, Tom, we talked about this on the final points live stream at the website with Higgins. It's like, can you get screwed by him? It was kind of a game for Higgins. Six catches for 47 yards playing through the ankle injury were like, if I started him, I'm okay with getting the 10 points. And if I benched them, it was 10 points. It was kind of like one where you're like, you know, you're okay with whatever outcome happened with Higgins.
Starting point is 00:29:49 but it was good to see he was able to get through that game and play virtually a full-time role for Higgins. So I think there's a tentative upgrade there for him. Yeah, hopefully, you know, it didn't seem like there was any kind of setback. Let's take a look at the snaps. He was at 86 percent, so he was on the field pretty much as a full-time player. So tentative upgrade there. It was a little slow going. I remember looking at the box score probably about through the third quarter,
Starting point is 00:30:18 and he wasn't really doing much, but he made a couple big receptions in the fourth quarter when they were coming back and he got his. So, um, how about, man, I gave out Joe Mixon's rushing prop. I can't believe he only had eight carries in this game. I guess they were playing from behind so much, but, what a weird year for Joe Mixing. Yeah, uh, by the way, he got,
Starting point is 00:30:40 then he scores a receiving touchdown in this game. And on the play before he scored the receiving touchdown, he got an end zone target. So, like, I mean, His expected touchdowns have got to be like a million right now. Like it's just, it's been a weird year for him, but it's kind of coming together for him at some point. I think I'm going to give Burrow an upgrade here. He was awesome in this game.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Yeah, and his, you know, receivers are getting healthy here. You know, they're starting to get back to their identity from what they were doing at the end of last year here. Offensive line. I'm not sure how they performed here. It seemed like he had some opportunity. You know, he was pretty clean for most of that game. So, you know, it's trending upward here for Joey B. You got me, Joe?
Starting point is 00:31:26 Yeah. Yeah, I've got you. Yeah, I mean, on the other side, they got a Thursday night here. Oh, boy. These receivers are all banged up. Oh, my Lord. Yeah, we got to watch the receivers. Yeah, so we're going to have Marquez Callaway, Traquan Smith,
Starting point is 00:31:43 and Keith Kirkwood potentially is the starting receivers in that Cardinals game. So I think, Dennis Allen. I keep wanting to say Sean Peyton. I think Dennis Allen he said, Alave's passed all the tests, but has to be cleared by
Starting point is 00:32:02 the neurologist. Yeah. So it looks like he's probably going to play. Yeah, I, the two old men, I would not count on them being back. I mean, Stefter reported right before the week five games that Michael Thomas was probably going to be back and
Starting point is 00:32:17 nope, not even close apparently. So this minor toe injury has turned into something big. I think this is the third straight game that he's missed. So by the way, the Saints currently would be giving the number five pick in the draft to the Philadelphia Eagles. Yeah, not great or great. I mean, depending on what side of you are, I guess. Yeah. So.
Starting point is 00:32:39 That's pretty great. Yeah, that is terrible. Anyway, Baltimore and the Giants, Baltimore cannot stop shitting its pants in the fourth quarter. This is unbelievable. And, you know, and I think the mistakes were Lamar Jackson's. Oh, yeah. But, I mean, you also got to acknowledge that they got nothing around Lamar Jackson. They have no wide receivers. And, like, I don't get, I mean, I think Greg Roman might be a donkey. I also think Greg Roman's not working with a whole lot here. I mean, you've got Mark Andrews, and that's it. Yeah. I mean, uh, Devin DuVernay, five targets, uh, one catch.
Starting point is 00:33:20 here. Rashad Bateman still banged up. This offense is extremely frustrating right now. J.K. Dobbins apparently got... Oh, forget about it. He's useless. I mean, the knee tightened up. Yeah, that's great news.
Starting point is 00:33:36 Yeah, is that them, you know, trying to save some phase for him? I have to wonder. Kenyon Drake, you know, was simply better than him. It wasn't even close. We got Gus Edwards, potentially back in the, you know, he's, I think Friday, Harbaugh said that he's getting close. Justice Hills probably trending towards returning this week. So, J.K. Dobbins is just dead right now.
Starting point is 00:34:02 I mean, this is, this is going to develop into an ugly three or four-man backfield. It's not looking good for people that drafted Dobbins in the fifth or shit's around. What do we even say about the Giants? I mean, it's Seekon. They have nobody relevant besides Seekon. I mean, it's Seekon, who's obviously you play every week. makes plays every week. And Tom, I think you can start, but he's a Waverwire guy. Yeah, yeah. I think Wondale Robinson's on the weekly wide receiver three. I mean, he's the, he was their
Starting point is 00:34:30 best receiver in that game and he only played like a handful of the snaps. I mean, his stock is rising big time, Wondale Robinson. Yeah, four targets on 15 snaps. It was only 23% share. I was hoping for a little bit more than that, but I would think that continues to rise here. But the Giants do seem content with using some sort of rotation here. Nobody, I'm looking at it. Slaten was at 69%. That was the highest. So we could have a little bit of an ugly rotation.
Starting point is 00:35:01 But Wondale's only owned it, I believe, 8% of legs when I was rating that up last night. So he's widely available. You know, you probably can plug him in. You know, this is a tough buy week, but a lot of good teams are on by. So I would expect his target. and his snaps to all go up here in the future. It was his first game back. And I mean, it was, you know,
Starting point is 00:35:26 he is almost like his pro debut basically again. He got, you know, injured relatively early in that, in week one. So I just think the more reps he gets under his belt, the more he's going to get on the field. So you want to be on the right side of this. Pick him up. He's widely available. Maybe you don't even have to use him in the next week or two.
Starting point is 00:35:45 But I think down the road, he's going to be close to a full-time player here in an offense that's certainly. needs a receiver right now. Tampa Bay at Pittsburgh. What the hell was Tampa Bay's game playing in this game? Brady sucked ass. I mean, he was reaming out his offensive line, but I thought Brady was terrible in this. That's why I was texting my buddy. I'm like, why couldn't he play like this in one of those AFC championship games all those years? You know, all those times that the Steelers met Brady in the AFC championship games all those years. But, you know, just what an ugly. It was all set up.
Starting point is 00:36:19 I gave out the over for this game. Four key guys were out for the Steelers and the secondary. I mean, they were playing scrubs back there and Brady could not get anything going. The Evans prop, I thought, was a freaking given. And he goes four for 42. I mean, Fournette, I mean, he got it done. They're using Rashad White. I mean, it would, I think I'm just going to downgrade Brady.
Starting point is 00:36:46 I mean, that, I think that's probably worth it. And then on the Pittsburgh side, we got to watch Pickett. But, I mean, even still, you talk, you talk Tom Brady? Yeah, Tom Brady wasn't great. How do you give up like three, third and ten plus to Mitch Trubisky? I mean, that was the best Mitch Trubiskey's ever looked in the NFL on some of those throws. And Steelers probably got their first wide receiver touchdown. And of course, it goes to Chase Freakin' Claypole.
Starting point is 00:37:10 Oh, yeah, good luck. Good luck with that guys, by the way. Yeah, I put them in the waiver wire, but I put them down on the list. I'm like, I don't want anybody to pick them up. So, but I will, you know, I'm a noted clay pole hater. I don't particularly anything that he's really done since his rookie season, but I'll give him some prop. He made a couple big time catches along the sideline, took a couple big hits,
Starting point is 00:37:34 and he did deliver in this game. So, but I would not get too excited about this. So, you're right, Joe, we don't need to write picket because he's waiver wire, but maybe at Deontay Johnson and Pickett, George Pickens, a little down this week since it looks like we're probably going to get Trevisky at least for one game here. Anymore with these concussions, I would not be expecting anybody to play the week after getting a concussion. So I think we're going to get Mitchie Poo on Sunday night football.
Starting point is 00:38:03 Feel the excitement. Oh, against, oh boy, against Tua, yeah. Anything on Najee, Tom? This was like kind of a, of course, oh, we're going to expand Jalen Williams role when he does nothing. That was more of what I was going to say. I moved, although he was on the field for 31% of the snaps, but they did not give him the ball whenever he was on the field. So nothing really new in this backfield.
Starting point is 00:38:27 I mean, Naji, it's so ugly. I mean, maybe you try to sell him high this week after a touchdown, but this is, you got to plug your nose and play him as an RB2. It's not going to go well. That's why I'm going to say, I'm going to put him as like a sort of an up guy, But, like, because he's scored, I was like, yeah, maybe you can go get rid of him right now. He's a slight up because it didn't really come to fruition with the Warren stuff. But it could in the future because I do think Warren has run pretty hard and does give this backfield some juice.
Starting point is 00:39:02 So I don't think he's going away, even though he only had the two touches in this game. Carolina, the Rams. Oh, my God. Can you imagine what Carolina's offense is going to look like if they trade McAfford? Oh, my God. I mean, every, I mean,
Starting point is 00:39:17 Robbie Anderson's a maniac, but I could see why Robbie Anderson was in. Yeah, yeah. They were literally not throwing any passes beyond the line of scrimmage. It was,
Starting point is 00:39:25 it was absolutely bizarre. Although I thought Jacob Eason looked decent when he came out. Yeah, he had some, he had some, I mean, he threw the pick in the end zone, but whatever,
Starting point is 00:39:35 I mean, I'm coming in cold. He's their fourth string quarterback. So, I mean, I mean, what else? Do we even need to, do we even need to write up
Starting point is 00:39:43 DJ Moore anymore at this point? I mean, no, I mean, you just, and then on the, on the ram side, acres down. Like, he will never play another snap. He's, uh, although, yeah, maybe he goes to a better, but who's going to trade for him? Like, what is going to have? Right. I mean, he's coming off of, yeah, major injury has looked like shit for, you know, since last postseason. I mean, nobody's going to give anything for him.
Starting point is 00:40:07 So I would think that he's, I would think maybe, maybe he's released even as early as Tuesday here. or maybe even when you're listening to this podcast, we'll get some more information on that. Maybe he goes to a team like, I don't know, like the giants who have only Matt Breedah behind him. Oh, that would make sense, but they don't have any money. Oh, right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:29 Do you see that last week from Art Stapleton that that's why they're not putting guys on IR because they have no cap space? Yeah, I did see that. Dave Gettelman put them, they are such a precarious spot. that they can't even put guys on IR. So I think I brought that up on one of our many podcasts at some point, like, why wasn't Juan Dale on IR? So we got information last week, Art Stapleton,
Starting point is 00:40:54 who covers the team, was basically saying that they don't have the cap space to put guys on the IR. Fascinating. But, yeah, I mean, Acres would make a lot of sense with the Giants. They don't have much back there, but they'll have to play basically for free if he wants to play for them. Arizona and Seattle, Arizona fucking stinks. So one other thing.
Starting point is 00:41:13 They are so. Back to the Rams. We should do a Henderson in conjunction with the acres. Oh, yeah, he's up. He's up. Yeah, yeah. Do we want to do anything with Alan Robinson or is this? I don't give a shit.
Starting point is 00:41:26 No. Like that feels like fools gold to me, man. Yeah, it was a game for control of and they could get him going. And he still looks uncomfortable. Yeah, it's just, I don't know. And hey, hopefully that's a springboard for the Rams because I would love it, the Rams would start scoring some points with, with consistency here.
Starting point is 00:41:45 But, I mean, I didn't take you. What the heck? One catch. He was so good. Yeah, I know. Like, Tungian had the Higbee game this week. Exactly. But yeah, yeah, we'll do a little Henderson blurb in conjunction with the acre stuff. Arizona and Seattle, like I said,
Starting point is 00:42:02 Arizona is just terrible. I mean, this offense is garbage. I don't know how you're going for it on fourth and two. And Kyler Murray's doing like a five-step drop. Like, what is this? He's five-foot-four. Roll him out, man.
Starting point is 00:42:21 Like, what the heck? Get him all the move. Uh, yeah. At least he ran for a hundred in this game. Greg body-bagged him on the match-up stream this week. If Cocell is willing to go public with that. Let me, let me just tell you, folks, if you're not a fantasy point subscriber, the matchup points live stream, which Greg, Cosell, John Hanson, and Adam, Kaplan do every Thursday. In my mind is the best football podcast there is. Like, I'm not talking
Starting point is 00:42:49 fantasy. I'm talking football. You've got John given fantasy opinions. You've got Greg given football opinions and you've got Kaplan with some information. He gets the insider information. Okay. It's great. Greg Kosell, let me tell you something. I have known Greg Kosell for close to 15 years. That man is extremely measured in what he says. Measured methodical, you might say, Tom. Yeah, I would. He said that somebody who would know told him Kyler Murray sticks. He was the one dealing in the information on this one. Yeah. And I mean, when I watch Kyler Murray, he doesn't know what he's doing. Do you think, would you be happy if your team has $200 million invested in Kyler Murray right now?
Starting point is 00:43:33 Because I sure as hell wouldn't. No, I mean, the Seahawks were getting just crushed by everybody coming into this game. too. I think it was they had given up 27 plus points in four straight games and Cardinals. No touch no offensive touchdowns. The only, only offensive touchdown they scored, only touchdown they scored was on a Michael Dickinson, you know, he bobbled the snap and got fumbled it in the end zone. And that was the only points they could generate against the Seattle Seahawks team. So it's, it's ugly. We got to do something on DeAndre Hopkins coming back.
Starting point is 00:44:10 Yeah, I have Marquise Brown down because of the foot. Hopkins is up. And I mean, and also like when you get it to the Cardinals, when things, the vibes are bad, like you get the Andre Hopkins back, you might lose Hollywood Brown for a couple of weeks. Like, it's unbelievable. Yeah, we should probably do something on Eno and Connor. No, I have a Connor watch.
Starting point is 00:44:31 Yeah, this is a quick turnaround, the Thursday night game. Yeah, we get to watch another shitty offense on Thursday night football, Joe. Aren't you excited? Right. I'm okay watching, like, crappy, like, hilarious football. We're getting a lot of shit football this year, Joe. I don't know if, like, watching, like, somebody of Kyler, and whatever you might think, you might think Kyler Murray stinks, okay?
Starting point is 00:44:55 I think that's a valid opinion. But he does have a unique skill set, and they treat him like he's Jimmy Garoppolo. Like, it's just, it's like, it's so hard to freaking watch out there. I mean, oh, by the way. He's playing at such a poor. You know, he's so bad right now, but the, you know, it's, it's like tough because the fantasy numbers are still kind of there. I mean, he runs for 100 yards yesterday. So he's getting 10 fantasy points there.
Starting point is 00:45:23 You know, so there's definitely, he's the one quarterback where there's such a big disconnect between fantasy and reality right now. It's, he is not playing very well right now. Seattle, there's one thing to write for Seattle. It's Ken Walker up. He was awesome. He has so much, like, contact balance. He's got juice. I mean, I was kind of a little disappointed after I watched a couple of his runs early in that game that he only finished with 97 yards.
Starting point is 00:45:54 But, he looks like the real deal here. If you were able to draft him and stash him or you were able to get him off the waiver wire last week, you got to be feeling good about what you got. Hey, even caught two passes for 13 yards. I'll take two catches from Ken Walker every week. That would be nice. We're not expected in the receiving production, but if we can get two catches for 15 yards, we'll take that every week right now.
Starting point is 00:46:23 Oh, absolutely. That's like the old Marshawn Lynch. Like, Marshawn, you catch me two to three passes and you do what you do on the ground and we're going to be just fine. Yep. We're going to be just fine. That's all we want for all. So this was a great first performance from him.
Starting point is 00:46:36 hopefully things just keep getting better for him. I would be feeling real good if you have them on your roster right now. He has, he's an RB2 for sure right now, and he's got RB1 upside here. Everything can come together here and a sneaky good offense right now. Buffalo and Kansas City, I'm not really sure what to say about Buffalo from a market report perspective. First and foremost, Isaiah McKenzie might have been point shaving in that game. He was horrifying in that game. Like, I wouldn't be surprised if Khalil Shakir starts getting some more snaps going forward here.
Starting point is 00:47:12 Besides to say that I just think Josh Allen might be the best football player I've ever watched. Like, I don't know if he's ever going to have the resume of like a Brady or a Manning or anything like that. And he probably won't. But just like in terms of skill set, this guy is just on another planet. He is a specimen too. He runs, man. If you've got to be a safety or a quarterback seeing him come to the edge, you've got to be just shit in your pants, whatever.
Starting point is 00:47:36 He did the hurdle again. That was like his famous play last. And he landed on his feet. I know. He looks so graceful doing it. Like, how was a guy that size looked so graceful running the ball? But he is. I mean, it's something else.
Starting point is 00:47:50 So, yeah, I don't really have a whole lot from this game in terms of... Should we do something on Juju? Oh, yeah. On the Chiefs, I was talking more Bill's side. Oh, okay, yeah, yeah. Anything, you know, even Knox, it's like shallow. it's only the three targets, but at least he's scored a touchdown. Maybe this is...
Starting point is 00:48:10 Well, if you have Knox on your fantasy team, this is why you had them on your fantasy team, right? It's the, it's like a lower, lowercase version of Gabe Davis, okay? You're attached to this offense, so there can be a big play any week. And we're just talking about Tyler Higbee was catching eight passes game. He caught one pass. You know, like Tyler Conklin, I don't think,'s caught a pass in two consecutive games. like Dawson Knox is an extreme worthy tight end because he can score a touchdown any given week in this offense.
Starting point is 00:48:41 Yeah, and he looked healthy again. His snaps were up at 87%. So it's hopefully this is- Is he waiver, by the way? He's like one of those fringe guys. I think I took him off. He's like right around 65%. So he's like one of those fringy type of guys.
Starting point is 00:48:56 But I mean, we could maybe do a small rate up on him since there's not a, I don't think there's really much else to report on the Buffalo side out of this. game. Yeah. And Kansas City, CEH, the touchdown luck has dried up for him. You're not kidding, man. They are just insisting on, you know, playing McKinnon a ton. He outsnapped him again. I mean, I feel like this is the fourth or fifth game where we've seen McKinnon outsnap Clyde Edwards-Hillair. They did get Pacheco involved again. But not enough to like use them.
Starting point is 00:49:32 Like, no, but I'm saying like he's taking snaps too here. Right. And he kind of disappeared last week, but he got 10 snaps in this game. So this goes back to the whole discussion we were having earlier. And Buffalo's done it. Buffalo made Zach Moss inactive. You know what? Maybe you don't have a great running back.
Starting point is 00:49:49 Maybe you don't have a McCaffrey or a priest Holmes or a Jamal Charles or a guy you feel great about. But freaking pick one. Yeah. Like, pick McKinnon. If McKinnon's going to be the guy, use them. Don't pick him. the way or you need a guy, you use them. Like, pick one. Like, I don't think it helps any of the guys. But, hey, you know, I'm not, I'm not a Super Bowl winning head coach. So, no, yeah, Andy does have a good
Starting point is 00:50:12 resume. But, yeah, you were talking about Juju, the, you know, he finally had a bit of good luck in this one. He slipped a tackle and was in a safe to have. Slip like three tackles. I mean, that was, that was hilarious. I was like, I said to Paul on air yesterday, I'm like, get out there and sell right now. Like, but hey, he made. the play. Yep. And, you know, there's only five targets on 40, you know, 40 attempts from Mahom. So it wasn't great. Still spreading around to all these different guys. You know, Hardman gets four targets. Sky Moor is getting three targets. MBS is getting three. You know, it's all very spread out. MBS had a touchdown called back. And then he was targeted on that awful
Starting point is 00:50:58 Mahomes interception. It was so bad. Oh, that... Which one? Oh, both more bad, but... Yeah, both more were pretty bad. But, yeah. We'll give a juju a little bit of love here this week. I think it is deserved, but we'll see if he can sustain it.
Starting point is 00:51:15 Yeah, I just think he's... I mean, I think if you're playing anybody, he's the only one you can play, but I don't trust them. Dallas and Philly, thanks for your service, Cooper Rush, Dax should be back next week. Yeah, I think he even said after the game, Dack was talking to the media that he... His intention is to play this week. Said he was spinning the ball pretty well in pregame warm-ups. And I think the Cooper Rush over Dak Prescott Talk will be kaput after last night.
Starting point is 00:51:45 Those were some pretty brutal interceptions by rush in that game, where he actually had to, you know, play from behind and had to be pressed into throwing the ball a little bit in some uncomfortable situations. I kind of felt like this was coming. Like, I was pretty zen about the Eagles in that game. game like I just thought they were going to. And then of course, you know, Lane Johnson goes out and then the offense starts to sputter a little bit. But Dallas just, hey, credit to rush. He put together a couple of drives, you know, got a back in the game. Yeah, Zique looked good. Yeah, Zeke did look good.
Starting point is 00:52:14 He was busting some long runs there. That was, that's the best I've seen him look in a while. So maybe he's a slight up here. Maybe they'll continue to feature him. But, you know, it's been pretty slow through the first five games. I think he was basically between eight fantasy points. points and 15 fantasy points. But he, the problem with him is there's just no passing game involvement anymore. It's all, all Pollard.
Starting point is 00:52:39 So it is a little bit shallow with Zeke here as well. He did have the nice performance on the ground, but not, I don't know how sustainable it is with him either. On the Philly side, I mean, they kind of do this thing every week. They,
Starting point is 00:52:53 they, they, like, they build their lead and then they kind of sit on it. And yeah, I mean, it was just, it was take care of business, go home, go to the buy, get everybody healthy. That's what it was for Philly. Yeah, I mean, the turnovers really helped. They weren't pressed to throw at all. They built up the big lead and just sat on it and, you know, killed Dallas Goddard in this game.
Starting point is 00:53:22 But that's always possible here with these tight ends. But I think Miles Sanders looks freaking great. I mean, I know he gets some good looks because he gets to play with Jamie Hertz, but that comes with the territory, and he's taking advantage of it. And he's dominating the touches it. I did not see this coming in the preseason. I wish I would have drafted him a little bit more. I drafted him to nowhere.
Starting point is 00:53:46 Yeah, I didn't either. I was, I pivoted the game well just because he was the cheaper option. But he looks great, and they're going to continue to keep featuring him here. And they're playing with, as you said, Joe, they're playing with a lot of leads. and he's getting a lot of opportunities to salt games away here, and he's taking advantage of it. And have you seen their schedule? Yeah, so I know that I know a couple weeks ago they were saying they're going to be favored in every game the rest of the way.
Starting point is 00:54:10 So yeah, so listen to their schedule coming out of the, but they're going on by this week. Pittsburgh at home, at Houston, Washington at home, Colts on the road, Packers at home, Titans at home. That's their next six games. I think they can win a lot of those games. Yeah, and I mean, and then, I mean, the last month is at the Giants, at the Bears, at the Cowboys. You have three straight road games, but two of them are, I mean, two of them are at division rivals, okay, and the Giants are way better than I thought. And then they close with the Saints and the Giants at home. Like, they are going to be favored in every game for us in the way. So the dolphins should be a little bit nervous. They keep the champagne on ice potentially for a while here. Oh, yeah, just just a little bit. We'll see. But it's a great time to be a Philly fan, isn't it, Joe? That's very good. It's, uh, the, the, the Eagles are, and, and you know what the Eagles did? You know, they won, they took care of business and like, all right, Phillies, it's your week.
Starting point is 00:55:03 It is. Yeah, that's true. The Eagles are on by. I forgot. Yeah, I guess so. If they're on by and this is their, do they open? Is it in San Diego or is it starting? It's in San Diego.
Starting point is 00:55:14 Okay. I didn't know. I didn't know the records for both of them coming out of the regular season. So I have a stake in that one as well. I have a $25 bet on them. at like I think 21 or 22 to one odds to win the National League at the beginning of the season. So I'll be rooting for your Phillies, Joe.
Starting point is 00:55:35 I need a little bounce back after a tough week player prop bets on the NFL. So I could use a nice little $500 nest egg here from the Phillies. I hit the Goddard over and I loved it. And then the Eagles just didn't need to throw the freaking ball. No, no. As soon as I as like rush through that second intercept, I'm like, well, that God has got her. prop isn't hinting. And he also, oh, man, he was wide open on a crosser early in that game.
Starting point is 00:56:00 And one of the defenders, like, barely got a finger on it. Or he would have had, like, a 30-yard reception. So not my week. Mike Evans, I can't believe he didn't get to at least 60-some yards. Joe Mixing gets eight carries. Algier, salting away a game, you know, against the 49ers, gets like six great carries at the end of the game. Not my week. everything more than kids me. So go Phillies. I need the money. All right. Well, well, the Philts will try to do that, Tom. I'm going to be sending out this file

Starting point is 00:57:02 But boy, did we tell a lot of people to start Dion Jackson yesterday. We totally got people to start. I forgot about that. Yeah, he was, we had him very high. So, yeah, he was, he came through. I wish I would have grabbed him in a league or two. I didn't really have the opportunity. But, yeah, he certainly came through.
