Hey, what's up? It's John Hansen. Week number 10 is almost in the books. And me and Brian Drake are back to review here. All the action from Sunday. It wasn't a very great or gruelific Sunday. It was kind of bad. We didn't get a lot of great quarterback play. So we'll do mostly complaining. But we're all in this together. And remember, somebody's got to win your damn league and it might as well be you. As always, you're welcome.
all across the fantasy universe.
Welcome everybody to the Fantasy Points podcast.
Week 10 review, Brian Drake alongside the guru.
John, real kind of interesting week out there.
We saw the Chiefs skate by the skin of their teeth.
We saw the Eagles in a dominating performance over the Cowboys
and kind of just a real mixed bag of crap in the middle.
If you had some big time players, maybe Jaden Daniel, C.D. Lamb,
you're kind of looking around this week like, what the hell happened?
this was a real odd week for fantasy man how you doing yeah i'm all right you know we we've uh
the season has been not bad at all honestly uh i have absolutely had way more weirder years than this
i mean there have been in recent years five six within the last five or six years you know
there have been a multitude of sundays where i'm just like kind of throwing my hands up in the air
like hey man you know i have no idea uh it's not that bad at all this year you know this year
Maybe part of that is fantasy points data, I think.
But I will say this, it wasn't a bad week, but I don't know if it was a good week.
There were, I got screwed on a number of injuries.
But the one thing that was kind of like, you know, because I'm focusing on props.
And I will say, man, there's very, very small margin for error on a lot of this stuff.
Like you only get so many opportunities nowadays in a game.
You know what I mean?
Like again, I keep going back to looking at, you know, this year and looking at just
just a random week this year.
Like I'll even do it live as we're recording this.
And just like week five of this year.
I think that actually was a pretty good week.
How many, how many quarterbacks through four over 300?
what I found was in 2024 it was like three to five of course of course as I say this week five was a pretty good week that was nine but I mean I can go to week six let's go to week six okay that wasn't nine that was four you know week seven three
So you know that one week where I randomly picked happened to be the outlier week
But for the most part there's like three to four maybe five once in a while there's more
Dudes throwing for 300 and I'm like you know what what was it like in 2017 and I just went and I looked in every single week there was like 11
Like 10 or nine you know what I mean like and that's what I mean like there's just not a lot of production to go around I haven't even looked at anything I have
haven't heard anyone complaining about how scoring is down but passing production is is definitely
down and maybe maybe rushing is up and and that's the trade-off but you know that that's kind of
been my takeaway like there have been many many instances where I'm totally on the right track
and it's just you're you're just not getting there but hey always some mistakes
million reasons why all this stuff happens.
It wasn't a bad week, I don't think.
So we'll review it all.
Yeah, we'll go game by game.
And as you mentioned, who's thrown for the most yards this week?
At time of recording, there's only been three guys who've gone over 300 yards.
One of them was Kirkie Cousins.
He threw for 306.
Guy has 11 fantasy points.
That's how kind of wonky it is out there.
Well, let's start off with the game in Munich, Germany.
The Panthers get an overtime win over the Giants.
The only real stories that come out of this game is the usage for the running backs
because neither of these teams can throw the football, John.
My God, this was painful to watch.
Chuba Hubbard, fresh off that new contract, gets 28 carries, goes for a buck 53 and a score.
Just really great usage.
And next week, I guess we'll see Jonathan Brooks, but you're not taking Chuba Hubbard
off the field. He's going to keep getting his touches. He look fantastic. You can't use anybody
really in the past game for the Panthers. I know Jatavian Sanders scored. He almost scored a second
touchdown, but that's a real reach play. What did you see from this Panthers Giants game?
They do have a buy this week, by the way, an upcoming coming out of the buy. They've got
nasty matchups. Kansas City. Well, Tampa's not too bad. Then Philly. That's not good right
there but I thought I didn't watch all of it because it was so bad but you know it when you when you
grade on a curve noting that Bryce young is working with a extremely depleted receiving core
minus John Mingo Adam Thielen and Deonté Johnson you know I thought he seemed to be playing played pretty
well you know like it's not hopeless at all you know he seems more comfortable
and calm things have slowed down a little bit so you know I think it's still I think he's created a question of
you know can we keep this guy around basically you know I think if I'm Carolina I mean I don't know if they
want to punt on him you just you do have to surround him with a lot of talent but yeah Chuba was
unbelievable he's been incredible you know they have a buy this week and then a nasty schedule and then
then it's only like what is it like six more games after that so we're we are kind of running
out of time maybe seven running out of time for for jonathan brooks and at this point since we're not
going anywhere what's the point you know like ease them into it basically so over on the other side man
you know shout out to tracy that fumble was was was was bad at the end but you know you know he's
given them something offensively because the passing attack is not and just just repugnant
It's shocking that Daniel Jones even actually threw for a buck 90.
Neighbors, this is everything I feared with neighbors is coming to fruition.
It's two weeks in a row.
I freaking tried him out because 19 targets total and my man can't even get in the two games.
Doesn't get there.
I'll give you tons of credit there because you and I went back and forth on neighbors all the time on this show.
And, you know, I was obviously very big on him.
The guy got 10 targets, but there's such useless targets in this Daniel Jones offense.
here. Another game where he goes for 50 yards.
I mean, you drafted maybe to be your wide receiver too here.
Now it's like maybe he's your three. You put him in it flex.
He's almost getting to the point where he's matchup dependent.
And this is the best matchup possible and he didn't come through.
Oh, I know. That's why I went with the prop.
I mean, there were literally four different angles there that you could truly get behind.
And like, all right, let's go. You know, no slate and Panthers don't pressure the
quarterback much, good schematic matchup, good individual, still didn't matter, because Daniel Jones
is brutal. The team just came out flat. I mean, I guess it's all Jones, but it's also the coaches
if they don't pull the plug. I mean, they got to get rid of this guy. They have to pull the plug
on Daniel Jones at some point because he has a $23 million injury guarantee for next season,
and they do not want Daniel Jones on this roster for next season. So at some point, sooner than later,
it's going to be the Drew Loxo show. So if you're,
the league if it two quarterbacks super flex whatever it is if drew locks on the waiver wire i'd go pick
him up because he's going to finish the season for the new york giants a quarterback there's no
question about that and i might even trade for neighbors because drew lock literally can't be worse than
daniel jones you just can't no so all right let's take our first time out right here on the other
side boy we're just starting off with a bang here we go from giants panthers to patriots bears get
for some riveting analysis of these two firecrackers going on there in the windy city.
Stay right there. It's the Fantasy Points podcast.

All right, John, when we previewed this game,
we kind of, you know, we're tongue-in-cheek talking about how bad this bears' offense is
and, you know, hoping they could get things going against the Patriots
who don't really have much going on themselves.
But my God, I mean, Chicago puts up three points.
at home. They convert
one third down on the day.
They have 142 total
yards, John. I mean,
where do you go
with this offense? Caleb Williams
throws for a buck 20.
This was as bad as it gets.
The wheels are just off the bears at this
point. Yeah,
and it's not like New England. They're
good. You got to give them credit.
They're pretty good, but hardly
a shutdown defense. Yeah,
hardly a shutdown defense, though.
And, you know, at this point, clearly Caleb Williams is struggling, but I, I have to think that Shane Waldron could be doing a much better job of giving, of utilizing his skills and putting him in a position to succeed.
It's like they have too much to work with.
And it's confusing them.
I don't know.
It's, uh, I have no answers.
it just seems like it's just random iso routes there's no cohesion no real plan no identity
it's it's bad it's really bad you can't you can't trust any of the receivers
o dunes they looked like he was coming on oh look they all got six targets great
none of them cleared 44 yards or scored but you know at least we're keeping everybody happy
this is terrible.
Cole Comet, I joke this morning.
It's like Cole Comet is like Marty McFly's brother in that photo and back to the future.
Like he doesn't even exist.
I mean, he's evaporating.
He's not even a thing.
Drake May was the leading passer in this game with 184 yards.
My God.
We mentioned on the preview show, and you guys should always be listening to that that comes out every Friday.
We said there's nothing you can count on in this Patriots.
offense outside of remandre and remandre at least got just 74 yards on the ground uh you know
that's not going to help you win a lot of fantasy leagues but if you got to play them john you got to
play them everybody else here forget about did you hit any props at least with pop douglas no but i
do with remandre if you recall we like remandre and and his prop was good that was like 51 uh
it was not a good prop week unfortunately uh all the calls were good but
life didn't cooperate in the NFL um i i guess the only takeaway i have is is if you just and i'm
i'm getting pop douglas wrong every time uh although this week i just mistakenly didn't start
him but in a deep league just freaking use them every week don't don't even deliberate uh because they're
for the most part he kind of comes through if he doesn't get hurt you know and hunter henry not so much
No, not so much at all.
I've got to move off.
It's a tough matchup, though, for a young quarterback.
It's a tough matchup for a young quarterback.
Didn't expect too much.
We got to get to a better game.
These crap games are drilling the whole podcast here, John.
We just take some shots or something to get this podcast back on the rails.
Let's go to the Bills and the Colts.
Bill's 30 to 20 winners here.
And I want to bang my head against the freaking wall, guru.
I dropped the Bill's defense for the 49ers defense in my long running home league.
only to watch the Bill's defense go bananas against Joe Flacco.
They're doing pick sixes and the sacks and interceptions and fumbles.
It's just been that kind of year, this kind of year.
But hey, what can you do?
Josh Allen doesn't throw any touchdown passes in this game, though.
It's a little wonky out there.
Throws for 280 and two interceptions does Josh Allen get you a running score.
So you'll take the 50 yards on the ground.
Nice day for James Cook, getting you 80 yards and a touchdown on the ground as well.
Mac Hollins.
I know you guys are all starting Mac Hollins out there, John.
Stop.
Stop.
Go away.
Go away.
Yeah.
Mac Hollins and I'm like, I tweeted like, what is this national backup day?
All these number two backup players around the league usurping the main guys.
luckily Shakir came through with a solid dad, did like him, didn't hit that prop that I actually
didn't play.
I did play Concade, but he got hurt.
And of course, Dawson Knox has to get 40 yards and Matt Collins.
And, you know, all of a sudden, like Curtis Samuel had been dead for nine weeks,
but he's like a zombie out there getting eight targets.
So I think the bills are flawed.
you know, James Cook is, I don't know what they are.
What is their identity?
Who is their go-to-go-to-guy?
Like, what are they trying to do on a week-to-week base?
I don't know.
Josh Allen's very talented.
They're obviously winning.
So they, you know, they do have a lot of continuity on their side,
but I still don't know what they are, and I still think they're flawed.
They're going to get a monster showdown with Kansas City next week in Buffalo.
So that'll be, obviously, the game of the week.
because it should be a lot of fun to cover that one kind of a downer here dalton cancade got
banged up in this one left the game only caught two balls for 24 yards should have come through a
little more uh but you know we've beaten the drum on dalton cancade for weeks here on this podcast
i mean it's it's egregious no it's it's egregious i'm sorry like guys you you used a freaking top
15 pick on this guy like or what right wasn't it 50 50
I'm going to look that up real quick.
I'm pretty sure he was like the 15th pick of the draft or whatever.
Oh, okay, 25th.
Still, that's high, obviously, for time.
I was like, guys, you use the number one pick on this guy.
Like, you're using him like an undrafted free agent.
Like, he might as well be Lucas Kroll.
I mean, I know I'm exaggerating a little bit.
He besmirch the good name of Lucas Kroll, please.
Yeah, no, I'm exaggerating a little bit, but that's just bad, you know, because he's good.
So I don't like it.
That's, there's a correlation between that.
their flaws, I'm sure.
Going over to Indianapolis, J.T. had a nice game, 21 carries, 114 yards.
You know, at least with Indianapolis, as, you know, flawed as they are.
And, you know, they didn't have their, you know, their stud-wide receiver out there this week.
So it was, you know, Josh Downs and A.D. Mitchell running around for Joe Flacko.
But we know that the foundation of their offense runs through Johnny Taylor.
What we don't like to see is Joe Flacko turning it over three times.
I mean, John, we mentioned it before.
We didn't love Anthony Richardson.
At some point, the Colts at four and six, you kind of just got to say,
all right, let's just put the kid in here and see what he can do.
Because, I mean, Joe Flacko's not helping you win anything.
It's definitely shaky.
I still think he's probably the best option.
One of the picks was not really his fault.
That was actually, as I tweeted it, only in.
interests me, but that kid, Austin Johnson, actually went to high school with my son in South Jersey
at St. Augustine Prep in Richland, New Jersey. He was, he's also from, I think I may have gone
to high school with his father, actually, in Galloway Township, New Jersey, but that's neither
here nor there. I just thought that was funny because that was an interception. That was a pick six
thrown from a South Jersey guy to a South Jersey guy who caught it,
which I don't think that's ever happened because South Jersey didn't have anybody good
who played in the NFL until the last 20 years.
But anyways, I did like Josh Downs a lot.
He came through.
He hit his prop, but he also dropped the touchdown.
He didn't have a good game.
A.D. Mitchell looked great.
So he's got to get more involved.
And Pierce looked great.
So, you know, it's frustrating because these guys are good.
like pierced down's mitchell pitman is a pretty good collection here yet they just can't really put it all together
taylor did look great but nothing in a past game they still don't have anything a tight end going on could
kylan granson just go away dude find another job you're the guy's so annoying he's made money you've had
your chances congratulations now get the hell out of here uh yeah they're frustrating but you know
Like you said, Johnny, Johnny Taylor's been pretty good since he's been back.
Now, your Vikings were kind of in your neck of the woods.
I was hoping you were going to go to this game and send me a photo.
I'm glad I didn't.
From the Jag Stadium, the Vikings without scoring an offensive touchdown,
beat the Jaguars 12 to 7, improved to 7 and 2 on the year.
So in this game, it was ugly, John, for your Vikings offense.
This was kind of Sammy Darnel looking like the guy who should be
career backup 241 yards exactly no touchdowns three interceptions you know whenever the backup comes in and they
shine in the first game that they play and everyone's real excited they're like oh yeah he looks great
and then you just get a little more film on these guys and then the wheels fall off it's kind of like
it might be what's happening here with sammy darnal but i do love that he got our guy t j hawkinson
involved welcome back t j hawkinson nine targets goes eight for 72 you can slide him in every week
and now that he's passed his by as your tight end one going forward he looked he looked uh back
completely back he made a couple the 28 yarder was uh like vintage hockinson so he's he's back uh sam
darnall you know what my nickname for him has been for years is sample size sam oh that's right
because because you're like oh look at him look at him go uh in carolina i'm like all right
let's let's check in three weeks where are we at in three weeks oh he stinks okay
that's what I thought. Yeah, he does stink. As far as
quarterback's starting quarterbacks go,
J.J. McCarthy was going to start over him by week
three.
Throw into the other team. I don't know what it is.
Like he's talented. He's got a good arm. He's athletic.
But his brain stinks. Basically, he loses it.
He has panic attacks and does the dumbest stuff ever.
so they're not going anywhere. Viking fans, sorry, we're not winning crap.
Just hope for JJ next year. Let's, uh, can I would put Jefferson and Hockison on ice,
you know, because we're not going anywhere. I mean, that's sad to say it's seven and two,
but when, when Sammy Darnold plays this way against the Jaguars, you're not going anywhere
in the playoffs, guys. Jags are scrappy. They, they fight to the finish. I'll give them that. They
They lose. They do dumb things in the game, but they do play everybody fairly tough, as I've watched a few of their games.
There was a scare in this game, John. Aaron Jones left. He got a really hard shot, and they took him to the locker.
They actually carted him to locker room, x-rayed the ribs. So, you know, Cam Acres, Ty Chandler getting a little run.
Acres actually had 13 carries in this game. Didn't do anything with him, but no. No, no, of course not.
I don't know. If Jones were to miss time, I think it would just be a committee between Acres and Chan.
neither guy is all that exciting no i mean i think you probably give the edge to acres right now but
great uh so we can we could watch you get 15 carries at 2.9 yards of carry as opposed to seven
uh back to the vikings i give up with jordan addison it's like pulling teeth to get this man
involved uh they they throw it enough you know most weeks 38 attempts
but now you got to get
freaking Josh Oliver involved
really I lost a prop
so I am bitter
he was open
he was open for a 20 yard gain
Sam threw him a terrible ball
which would have hit the prop
so yeah
I mean this is what I'm talking about
with margin for error
it's like you would think Jordan Addison
what is okay what are we got out here
Jordan Addison all right
former Boletnikov Award winner
number one pick
gets to play opposite the best receiver
in football and you have a good passing game you throw it a lot so what do you think can we start
them hell no i mean that's kind of where it is i mean i know he scored last week but you'd be better off
not knowing jordan addison existed he's so off my radar i never think of it yeah if it was dfs or
props or anything i don't even think he exists i think oh it's jefferson it's donald it's darnells
yeah darnell is not good enough to spread the wealth basically well
Well, you want to make Sam Darner look like Joe Montana.
Let's talk about on the other side, Mack Jones, who went 14 of 22 for 111, no touchdowns, and two picks.
I mean, this was just vintage Mac Jones.
And if you've got any of these guys, you know, and we're going to talk about the cowboys a little later.
But if you've got any of these guys on the Jags now, you've got to be worried.
Evan Ingram, you know, Brian Thomas.
Brian Thomas, remember him?
I mean,
I mean,
literally people forgot
Brian Thomas existed.
I did today
for about 98 minutes.
I'm like,
oh,
that's right,
Brian Thomas exists.
I mean,
that was brutal.
But,
you know,
in Mac Jones's defense,
I mean,
they just traded away
a tackle to Minnesota,
ironically.
You're throwing it
to Brenton Strange
and freaking Gabe Davis
and Luke Farrell
and Ingram.
Yeah.
And you don't really
have a running game
behind you to speak of.
Skank,
Bigsby. I mean, if you started skank Bigsby, you literally got 0.4 points. Point four.
I mean, brutal. And he left the game with an ankle injury in the first half, which allowed
Travis E.T.N to basically be the majority ball carrier for the rest of the game. ETN finished 11
carries for 44 yards. Also caught one ball for minus one. So could be going forward. Could just could be
the ETHN show, but again, what's that worth against Detroit next week? Have fun.
Yikes.
Yeah.
Well, let's take another time out. And hey, I'm looking down the list. We've got some
actual good games to talk about. So if you've stayed awake this long in the podcast, boy,
do we got some good stuff coming for you? Because the actual decent NFL games are coming up
on the other side. It's the Fantasy Points podcast.

All right, John, I got to tell you about my son who I watch games with every Sunday down here in the Man Cave, right?
he hates the Kansas City Chiefs
with an undying passion. The kid's 12 years old.
All he wants to do is see the chiefs lose.
So he's hitting the gritty.
He's going bananas because Denver is lining up
to kick a chip shot, 35-yard field goal
to win the game and beat the Chiefs at Arrowhead.
The kid falls to his knees almost in tears
when the chief lock the kick and win the game 16, 14.
These guys, John, they don't fall.
he can lose. And there's a great
stat about them that I
saw, and even Red Zone
put it out. If you look back at
the Kansas City Chiefs, who are now
undefeated,
they're the 32nd team in the NFL
history to go 9 and 0,
but they have the smallest
point per game differential of any
of those teams, only plus 6.4.
They're getting by
a whisker. And I think
down the line, it's going to cost
them. When they get to the playoffs and they're playing
the better teams and the Buffaloes and a Baltimore's like you can't get by with the kind of
performances and the offensive performance that they had today. I don't I just don't see it like
someone's going to nip them the butt in the playoffs because remember on the last show I predicted
I said don't be surprised if Denver goes in and wins this game and they should have if the ball
doesn't get blocked Denver does win this game. Yeah no that was uh that was incredible um I went
on uh this V-VSEN program this morning and I have this
negative karma thing with the universe where I really should not be employed to tell you
which star players are going to crap to bed basically because it's brutal.
I had to go with Cortland Sutton and Nicks.
Every single data point pointed negatively.
I'm like, all right, yeah.
And so, of course, it never fails.
Like I need to start picking guys going on the air saying, yeah, this matchup's really bad, blah, blah, blah.
I know this person is really good, but, you know, sit them and blah, blah, blah, and then call everyone I know.
Play the overs.
Play them now.
I don't even know how the hell they did it.
It was really one bigger play, the 32 yard of the touchdown, right?
But other than that, like, who the hell did it?
troutman made one play little jordan made a ghetto i mean like it's just spread this this is repugnant
crawl got a ton two for 21 mims i mean and of course the one the guy that you thought maybe
oh look maybe he's coming on troy franklin you know he played with bow nicks in college some people
in the draft process thought he was going to be a number one pick and like oh he's coming on
Nah, one grab for nine.
So other than Sutton, nothing.
And then Giovante Williams, it's like,
I mean, he's, it's over, I think.
Yeah, the name you're going to hear on the waiver wires,
Audric Estime, the kid out of Notre Dame,
45% of the snaps today for the Broncos.
He also got five of the 13 third downs.
So if you're looking on the waiver,
you're desperate for something estimate got 14 carries for 53 it they've kind of talked up did
sean peyton hey we want to get him involved and sean peyton bss us a lot you know he did that with
marvin mims forever but hey they actually came through john this week and they played estimate
you know it's the late in the season everyone needs a freaking running back so estimate i think will
be the number one waiver priority for week 11 i've been putting them in my little article on
my little section on our waiver wire page i've like six times i've put them on there like guys
it's coming it is coming winter's coming and estimate is coming in my estimation uh so yeah we'll
we'll try and keep those puns to a minimum uh also really like Travis kelsey here and he
comes through but it was like freaking pulling teeth all of a sudden kareem hunt out of nowhere
I didn't love him on the ground and he didn't do crap, but he still came through.
Big time.
Didn't love.
Holy cow.
Didn't love Hopkins.
That a pretty good game, though.
Four for 56.
Sorry.
But it's the same old crap.
Spreading it around to everybody.
Xavier Worthy had a big downfield opportunity, but no.
So he, that was one of my problems with him.
I didn't think he was good at tracking the deep ball and he's not.
So he's a bust, by the way.
Can I get so?
Somewhat partial credit for not being in on worthy after Skymore debacle.
Like I get I get like half of Skymore back because Xavier Worthy is a bus.
Although let's be fair, worthy will probably be good, but you know, not now.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm sure a lot of people that went out and spent a lot of fab on, you know, getting D.
Hop or making a big trade forum after last week.
This is the ultimate fantasy football move.
D.Hop goes off last week in, you know,
know, that game, everybody watched.
So everyone's like, oh, my God, Hopkins, he's the alpha now in this offense.
And he's going to be the focal point going forward.
And then people probably traded him.
That's the best move ever.
If there's ever an island game and your guy goes off, trade him immediately after the game.
Because this could be what Hopkins is.
Five targets, catches four for 56.
Kind of just, you know.
He's there.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But I think he'll score.
I mean, Mahomes didn't get his second tutty.
I believe he just missed it.
And I'm trying to think who it was.
I thought I saw DeHop get a ball in the end zone for what it's worth.
Yeah, I mean, we'll have to go back and look and check,
but I was worried that he would see a lot of Certan, of course.
But yeah, you know, got to get Noah Gray his,
getting P. Ron involved.
Got to get Justin Watson on the field.
I mean, come on.
Oh, and you got to get Peyton Henderson on the field.
Oh, Peyton Henderson-Hawl name.
A good reference there for the kids.
And guys, just remember you're going to have our guy, Isaiah Pacheco, coming back in a couple of weeks.
So if you're banking on Kareem Hunt in your lineup every week and you don't have anybody behind him,
now is the time to start maybe thinking, ooh, could I trade him or I got to go find somebody else to fill in this hole?
Because he's not, you could see already he's pretty inefficient as a runner, 2.5 yards of carry.
Once Pacheco comes back, I'm sure the first game, John, they'll ease him in a little bit.
bit and then this is Pacheco's backfield let's be honest so yeah yeah we think so hunt's just a rental
player all right let's move it along here the saints break up the saints they knock off the
atlanta falcons 20 to 17 they snap their seven game losing streak shout out to their coach for
his first victory as an NFL head coach did you see the tweet that was put out john about
I forget the guy's name.
Was it Rizzi? The Rizzler? What the hell is this guy's name?
Oh, yeah. Yeah. Rizzo, I believe.
Yeah, Frank Rizzo. Rizzi. Rizzi.
Rizzi. Yeah, Frank Rizzo. Rizzo.
Open your eyes, Jackass.
I want to go. Did you see the tweet that was put out that he clogged the toilet in the coach's bathroom before the game?
And somebody tweeted this out.
I showed him to my wife. She goes, what moron would number one tell a reporter this?
And then why would the reporter tweet it out?
So he was so nervous for the game.
Boom.
Clagged it up, took a massive dump.
Maybe that's what he needs.
The pregame dump got him the victory.
Hey, now we know what to get you for Christmas.
We're going to get you a key chain with a plunger on the end of it.
Just walk around with that thing all day.
Jesus.
That's, yeah.
Yeah.
But I got to see here if I got to see the game book on this puppy.
because these saints are gonna drive all of us nuts
with their usage.
And well, they opened up in a freaking one wide receiver
on the field, MVS.
Like Tipton, where the hell was Tipton?
I mean, would they kill him?
Didn't get a target.
That's a first though.
That is kind of funny.
Not that we want to make jokes.
about anyone getting murdered people.
But like, what happened?
Because everyone said like, oh, did he retire?
That's the new one.
Would they kill them?
Yeah.
I mean, they might as well have killed them.
I mean, this is repugnant.
Derek Carr throws for 269 and two scores, both to MVS.
He goes three for 109 with those two tutties.
So, John, everyone's going to ask you on the waiver wire.
Are we picking up MVS?
They got nothing else on the waiver wire.
What do you think?
No.
No.
no no no bang my head on the table no no no i mean that that is a super skanktastic stack i'm gonna
here's ballsy i'm gonna go all in bet the house two props parlay mvs and derrick car over let's
go on the on the heels of a big game i mean honestly let's go honestly let's go
honestly like an under parley would be would be hysterical like all in like all in because but if you did that
because their Derek Carr and Marquez Valdez scantling they would then go off whatever you do
if you bet the over or the under doesn't matter they'll do the opposite so i am not going to advocate
a damn fool on this saint team, including Dante Pettis, who's like a zombie out there.
He's in the league.
He's in the league.
They still have Cedric Wilson.
I guess tip to, I don't know what, Kevin Austin.
Stone Cold Steve Austin's brother.
Oh, my God.
They got three tight ends and they make that.
It is absolutely disgusting.
John, I have so many people ask me on Twitter about Tassam Hill every week.
Like, hey, you know, should I put him in?
And I go, listen, he's going to get some carries.
And this week, he got four.
He doesn't do anything with him.
If Taysam Hill doesn't score, he's not going to come through for you because he's never going to get a ton of yardage on the ground.
And he caught two balls for 36.
So he's like, you really got to be desperate to want to play Taysam Hill in fantasy these days.
No, I can't stand the Saints.
They are completely unprojectible, unpredictable.
You can't, there's nothing to analyze other than Camara.
Because of Derrick Carr, it doesn't matter.
Like, it could be a great schematic matchup against a team that can't rest
the past year.
And he'll still, he'll find a way to crap it up.
So, and they just, no, no passing identity, no week, I mean, Alave, he, he's, he,
he's done for what a couple more weeks right yeah they just put him at least three more
they're dead i i i don't trust any of it and of course tasem hill is the most unprojectible
and unpredictable player maybe ever for the i don't think i've ever seen yeah i don't think i've
ever seen a tight end like i don't even what is he that's the thing like football what is he he's
got to go away he really does he really does he's made
enough money. Congratulations. Go spend time of your family. For the Falcons, I mean, you have the
number one running back of the week by, you know, as we're recording this is Bijon Robinson.
Amazing game. If you've got Bijan, you love it. 20 carries. Yeah. That's what you want to see.
Buck 16, two touchdowns, scotch of three balls. You know, Drake London catches eight
balls for nearly 100. Mooney's going off for nearly 100. Pitz catches 455.
But, John, you get 306 scoreless yards from cousins.
They just couldn't put the ball, you know, in the end zone through the air.
Like, there's no reason you lose this game to the Saints.
But, you know, we're here for fantasy.
It's not great.
But, hey, we'll take what we got out of London, Mooney and Pitts.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, not a ton to add here.
Karky did throw for over 300, which is a lot nowadays.
Mooney continues to crush.
I did win his prop
I didn't go in with London but I knew he was playing
I don't know why people were
thinking he wasn't I mean geez
he played well
pitch got all that late by the way so I don't know if we're
feeling real warm and fuzzy
but I did write this morning that
you know it wasn't maybe the greatest
matchup but see Bijan ended up getting the volume
but I did write that you know
don't be surprise of Algeria is a little bit more
and he did actually 11 for 59
but yeah I mean I have no
complaints when we we can pretty come well be jean's been unbelievable ever since i started pumping him up
when his value was a little down like five weeks ago i'm like oh look at the schedule and he's been
unbelievable ever since uh so he's obviously locked in top three guy london locked in mooney locked in
pitch should be locked in a tight end if you're in a tight end mandatory league and that's it i mean
ray ray you know it was a good schematic matchup we got three for 30 that's that's all you can count on
But yeah, we can't complain when they're pretty consistent, pretty productive,
and they don't really spread it around that much.
No, and the reason they lost this game, let's be honest,
is Young Way Koo missed three field goals.
So that's what you put them behind the eight ball.
So if you started Young Way Koo and you lose points for missed kicks,
sorry about that.
John, let's take one more time out.
When we come back, welcome back Christian McCaffrey.
Let's see how Mr. 101 did in his debut for the 2024 season.
It's a Fantasy Points podcast.
CMC is back.
Welcome into our lives again, Christian McCaffrey.
And it was okay.
You know, it will take it coming off the bench, the long layover, John.
He got 13 carries for 39, and then a very CMC-like, 6 for 68 through the air.
He didn't score, but that's okay.
We'll take it.
The usage was good.
And the 49ers get a much needed win against Tampa Bay,
23 to 20 with a field goal in the final moments of this game.
I know Brock Purdy was a big DFS darling for many.
He threw for 353 today with two touchdowns,
those going to Ricky Pearsall and George Kittle.
Kittle, man, he just looks phenomenal out there.
Every week he makes a fantastic play.
So what do you think of McCaffrey and CMC?
Well, they're the same guy.
What did you think of this 49ers off?
I thought McCaffrey was great, but CMC sucked.
He sucks.
I thought he looked a little sluggish running.
So we'll see if that was just rust or if this is kind of who he is,
but still a very good receiver.
He made a great play on that 30-yarder.
So he's a great weapon.
But, you know, they did.
It was weird.
I saw Mason in the game like really early.
I'm like, oh, wow.
but you only had one carry so did garendo they tried debo a couple of times that early that wasn't
working purdy continues around a little bit i did like purdy quite a bit in this one he crushed it
and it kind of was a week where kind of they kind of supported five receivers which is maybe that's
just well look they didn't run it a ton they threw it 36 times that was great i mean could we
get that every week that'd be phenomenal
Um, probably not.
But then again, I don't think the days of them feeding McCaffrey or I don't know if we're going to get those.
Yeah.
Anymore.
So that's kind of what.
11 targets today.
Uh, seven for 93 for Juan Jennings.
So if you were holding him, remember he was kind of the waiver wire darling after I
yuk went down.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He missed a bunch of times.
So, you know, he looked great.
Ricky Pearson looked fast as hell on that long touchdown down the sideline.
I started him of the FPI, baby.
Oh man, I wish I'd, you know, that's, I know our guy Joe Dolan predicted it.
I, I thought it was a difficult evaluation.
I mean, we haven't seen them in this offense with Debo and Jennings, basically.
Like, we haven't seen that, but of course, now we have.
Could be an indict on Tampa's awful defense, too.
That too.
Yeah, yeah.
But, yeah, I think this past week I even gave Jennings love going, hey, last call.
like this guy is very available especially on third now like and even Brady was talking about it in the
in the broadcast he did a good job at that like yeah he's the guy like big body receiver is long you know
he's a very good target for purdy but i also did really like debo and luckily he hit his prop by like
five yards but you know it's a problem because you know kiddle's going to get his at this point he's
got to get every week jennings seems like every week he's getting it and now pierceol kind of commands
the ball so it is going to be a little difficult figuring out like who's who here but it's certainly
good news for purdy and if you have ricky i mean we loved rickie i could not have pumped up rickie
Pierce and more in the off season on Sirius and everywhere else. Like it's impossible.
And good for him and good for us because he's good. He is in fact good. That 46-yarder was
that was something else. I saw like images of the future there with Purdy and I thought he can be
better than Ayyuk. Even though Ayyuk is a little bit more talented, Ayyuk doesn't do a ton right after the
catch.
You notice that?
Not a ton.
You know, he's a little bit more area-yardy, you know.
I think Pearsall can be better run after the catch than I.
I just think Pearsall is a little bit, he's not as talented, but I think he could be
a little more precise and consistent and maybe a little bit better.
Let's talk about Tampa Bay because this is a team that really fought hard in this game.
And there wasn't a lot of production to show for it.
Baker Mayfield played his ass off.
If you watch, there were some plays where he is just shedding tacklers.
He's stiff arm and Nick Boso while he's trying to throw the ball down the field.
He only throws for 116 and a touch today.
Bucky Irving scores a rushing touchdown.
Rashad White catches the touchdown pass.
But, I mean, this is a struggle bus here.
Only 215 total yards, John.
It really is a split between these two running backs.
Look at the snap share in this game.
Rashad White, 59% of the snaps, 9 of 14 on third downs.
He did have most of the work inside the 10 as well,
compared to 48% for Bucky Irving.
But Bucky Irving leads the team in terms of overall running back carries,
and he has 73 yards.
So I think this is one of the situations in the league where we don't love committees,
but if you have one or the other, you just start them because there's not enough playmakers on this offense.
Those two have to be kind of the focal point for going forward until Mike Evans returns.
Yeah, yeah.
Where was Jell and McMillan?
Yeah, he was active over that hamstring injury.
Brady during the game kind of hinted.
He was like, oh, he's active.
He's like, but I don't know how much we're going to see him.
I think he was kind of surprised that he even was active.
But yeah, he didn't even have a target today.
Yeah, that that play that Baker made would both.
on them was something else and it was also an unbelievable catch by rachad like i think i said that on
friday's pod like this this could be one of those games where rashad you know catches like six
balls or something i also said that until he does me rotten i'm rolling with otton and he finally
did it uh got the targets got the catches with five but he didn't hit that prop but yeah i mean
they they desperately need obviously we got to get it
can we get actual production from our wide receivers?
I don't know if I've seen a team play two games with fewer yards from their wide receivers
than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have in the last two weeks.
Because the last two weeks, do they have 100 yards total in their last eight quarters
from their wide receivers?
Because in this game, I mean, they only got like 30 yards.
I mean, that's pretty unbelievable.
who was a wide receiver at 11 yards yeah that's pretty remarkable now and then last week let's see what
happened last week they didn't get a lot either right I mean it was barely anything let's take a look
shepherd yeah I mean well I mean a little bit more but it's like they're basically at a hundred yards
total in their last two games from their wide receivers.
That's bad.
Trade for Mike Evans in your leagues.
The team who has Mike Evans, go make an offer to them tonight.
Hey, you know, you need somebody to get you through.
I don't know what his prognosis is.
He's still going to miss a little more time,
but you're maybe a playoff team and you know you're going to get in to the dance.
That's a guy I'd be targeting.
Bucky Irving, though, I was not in,
but Bucky Irving is why you draft these rookies and take a shot because as I've said forever
there they're a buying opportunity because nobody knows I mean like that that was a hell of a
pick an R-O-I like you're getting this dude in the 14th round and he's freaking good but
Rashad hey he's hanging in there man he is hanging the F in there uh he's probably going to end up
finishing right around where everyone had him, where I had him.
I mean, he's hanging in there, thank God.
Yeah, they both finished in the top seven at the time of recording right now at the running back position.
So a nice day to have a Tampa Bay running back.
What about the game of the day between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Washington commander, Steelers,
edge out a one point win, 28, 27.
This was a really fun one to watch.
I kind of was pulling my hair out as the Jaden Daniels owner, but I also loved it as an Eagles fan because the commander's lost.
Let's start on the winning side with the Steelers.
And if you look at this backfield, John, that drumbeat is kind of starting for Jalen Warren here.
Split right down the middle in terms of snaps, 46% each for Najee and Jalen Warren.
Warren, of course, dominating on third downs.
he was in there for 13 of 16.
And, you know, this is a team now in Pittsburgh.
It's a new identity under Russell Wilson.
Najee Harris carries the ball 21 times, gets in the end zone.
But Jalen Warren got 14 carries himself.
So I think Jalen Warren's a nice little asset.
He could have been dropped in a few leagues.
So make sure he's not sitting on some waiver wire out there.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, there's another guy that the last two, three weeks.
I'm like, hey guys, like, last call.
This is like, I even wrote last week.
I think I had him as the top running back guy.
He was only owned in 40% of Yadha Leagues.
I'm like, well, everybody else is just stash and hope guy.
Like, Jalen Warren is the only guy left.
Now, I will say, Naji got hurt and took a shot and missed a good number of plays, not a ton,
but that is absolutely part of the reason Jail and Warren got all those carries, no doubt.
It was a little bit of a weird game.
It was one of those things where Warren fumbled on top of the goal.
Otherwise, they probably score.
And then it's kind of a different game.
And I say this because I'm bitter because I like Najee Harris to go over his freaking yardage prop.
And I mean, come on.
This is just another example.
And there was another example on the other side.
I got to in a moment.
It's frustrating.
But I like Najee.
They did a good job plugging them up here, plugging up the holes, I guess.
but he did get hurt and he was less effective after that freaking guy got 21 carries still
still couldn't get there but Russ Russ hey he's giving him life it's it's all working
you got a little Mike Williams tutty but even with Mike Williams there even with Calvin
Austin getting six targets Georgie still dominated the targets with seven Friar meath you
know good luck because that's touchdown dependent if he
doesn't score he's probably not going to do much but on the other side I liked Zach
hurts and I'm like guys I can't do anything else he had one catch for five last week and I had a
prop and I'm like you know what I this is gonna hit over there over 31 and he led the team in
targets with eight and caught four balls still didn't get it I'm like well I what else can I
do that's where I'm like I'm gonna default to my one word mantra
And that's Waygon-Doh.
All one word.
Way-Gondo.
And Urge had a bad drop at one point.
That would have been a pretty nice gain that would have got you there.
Daniels.
Daniels throws for 202.
But we've been saying this for weeks, John.
It's just because I'm a jaded owner of Jalen Daniels or Jadenials in several leagues.
He doesn't run the freaking ball anymore.
Three attempts for five yards.
No team has the ball inside the five more than the commanders.
That is not a stat I've looked up on fantasy points data.
I'm just saying it as someone who owns him in fantasy and watches every freaking snap.
They always are with inside the five.
And now this week, Eckler with two touchdowns, McNickle scores a touchdown.
They don't run Jaden Daniels in the red zone anymore.
It is just pulled out of their playbook.
And it's crushing him for fantasy.
I really think it's what I was saying all summer in that I love Jane Daniels, but
dude runs too much.
He puts his body at risk too much.
He's not making it at that rate.
So he got the rib injury and maybe that put a scare into him.
And they realize, oh, my God, we are a Jaden Daniels injury away from starting car.
Marcus Mario da.
So I think they've,
an edict or some sort
has been handed down.
Like, dude, we're pulling back
on the design runs.
And it is a back pocket item only
if you're desperate.
You look at Daniels over the last few weeks.
Here's his rushing attempts in the yardage.
This week, week 10,
three for five.
Week nine, eight carries for 35.
Eight for 52.
Three for 50.
He doesn't have double-digit rushing
attempts you have to go all way back to week five john and he hasn't scored on the ground since
week four so man oh man we're missing that in fantasy land for sure you're lucky you're lucky
you're lucky that week against carolina you got 50 yards on only three attempts you know the week
before that you got 22 on six so you know he he has been pretty good throwing it you know but
Yeah, I mean, he's not, clearly this was his worst game of the year for fantasy, right?
So now we know, like, he's not a, he's not absolutely half to start him.
If he's not running, then he's not that, you know?
Yeah, he threw for 202 today, 113 of that to Terry McLaurin.
Real good matchup coming up on Thursday night when the commanders travel to Philly to take on the Eagles for first place in the NFC East.
Like that?
That's going to be a fun one.
That's going to be a tough one to come up with angles on, honestly.
Yeah, we'll see here because the commanders didn't run the football at all today.
They only ran for, what, 60 yards net?
The day and the Eagles, you can't run on them at this point,
the way they've changed their defense up.
So we'll see.
Be a fun one to watch.
This was kind of an interesting game,
even though nobody really wants to watch the Texans out there with Will Levis,
But there were some points in this game that were kind of fun.
27, 17 victory for the LA Chargers.
Our boy, Dobbins, 15 for 50, John.
And I mentioned it for the last two weeks here.
I'm like, and it looks like he's slowing down.
And they want to get some other guys involved.
And the Gus bus was back.
And he got 10 carries for 55 today.
I'm worried if I am a J.K. Dobbins owner that he's just,
he doesn't have enough gas left in the tank.
Yeah, Gus did look good.
Dobbins looked all right, though, but it doesn't look great on the 3.3 per carry on the box score here.
Herbert running a little bit more these days, 32 with that touchdown.
Not much.
And of course, Hassan Haskins has to freaking score.
The former Michigan Wolverine, I believe it was for Michigan, right?
Yeah, that was Harbaugh's boy.
He got five tutties against Ohio State.
I asked him about it at the Combine.
um yeah Josh
yeah I mean it's
underwhelming because this was our biggest fear
with Herbert and the Chargers they throw it 18 damn times
yeah so no one did crap in the passing game oh quentin Johnson
i didn't even notice that quentin Johnson scored wow man he is just mr
big play basically either a touchdown or a busted coverage
wow okay well it still counts
Yeah, Willis for someone.
Levis came in and wasn't the usual Will Levis that we've known to grow in love here and stream defenses against.
He threw for 175 yards, two touchdowns, both of those to Calvin Ridley.
So Ridley scores in the first and fourth quarter.
He's kind of it in terms of anybody in that passing game that you can count on for Tennessee.
And he's looked good in the last few weeks with two different quarterback.
So yeah, Ridley's coming through.
Tough day on the ground for Tony Pollard, nine for 44.
Spears was back this week.
He gets seven carries for 47.
Just tough matchup against the Chargers.
So just not a lot of fantasy goodness in this one, John.
No, no, but they, you know, they both ripped off good runs.
You know, they, it's weird because they average 6.7 and 4.9 yards of pop.
Pollard also got the four grabs.
Spears got three.
I mean, it's kind of what they are.
Their offense is those two, mainly it's been Pollard, of course, and Ridley.
That's it.
And your boy, Nick Westbrook Aquine, but that's it.
Conquo, never again.
Not that I liked them this year, but never again on these tweener guys.
Like, that's it.
We'll see about Chetavian Sanders.
But yeah, this is just, this is what we're talking about in the NFL lately and this year
where like you don't have a big margin for error.
Oh, what's how you got Dobbins?
Yeah, we'll give you 15 carries.
That's it, though, and you're not scoring.
Or, oh, you got Ladd McConkey.
Well, sorry, buddy.
His quarterback is only going to throw it 18 times today,
and he's going to spread the ball around to eight different receivers.
So you're screwed there, and you're going to max out at 52 yards.
It kind of happens a lot.
Titans defense also had a touchdown taken off the board.
I think they ruled the guy down by contact, and that would have been a big play for the Titans dST, not that anybody was starting them.
All right, John, let's take one final time out, and then we can talk about the two games I've been dying, dying to get your thoughts on, because we can give the last rights to a couple of NFL teams on the other side.
It's the Fantasy Points podcast.
All right, final two games of the day, Guru.
Let's start out in the desert with the first place Arizona Cardinals, just laying the wood to the Jets.
And it's over.
It's over for the Jets.
It's over for Aaron Rogers and this whole experience.
31 to 6, Arizona puts the Jets out of their misery.
Rogers throws for 151, no touchdowns on the day.
Very forgettable performance from Garrett Wilson, who gets you 5 for 41, DeVante, 6.
3431, Brees
Hall, 52
yards rushing. It was just, listen,
the Jets stink.
They got out-coached, out-classed,
and for as much
talent as we like to think the Jets have,
it's just
so dysfunctional there, John, that
it's over. And people are going to
start quitting on this team. I can already see it.
Yeah, I mean,
I might quit at this point, too, if I had to play for these
dummies. I mean, they just completely
forget every once in a while that they have Breece Hall.
Got to get, got to get Allen in there.
Got to work him in.
No, you don't.
You morons, you have a really good back in Breece Hall.
Feed him the ball because the more you do it, the better his chances of wearing the
defense down and having more success and or pop it off a long run.
But what do I know?
But you're right.
I have no say in the matter, but I will officially announce here on this podcast.
that Aaron Rogers will be retiring from the NFL at the end of this year.
Again, this is officially unofficial, no say in the matter.
But basically, I'm retiring his ass for him because it's over.
He can still play a little bit, but the skills are deteriorated.
He thinks he can do a little bit.
It's like me playing softball when I was 46.
My brain thought I was 26.
My body's like, nah, nah, dude, you can't do that.
uh but yeah dysfunction split locker room coach fired midseason jet gun to jet i mean what do we want
their owner is named after an erection i mean come on what can we what can we do here this guy's
an asshole so uh you get you get what you have coming to you i mean i've never heard a damn good
thing about the jets organization i mean i've been doing this for 30 years i don't think i've ever
really heard a good thing about it i mean that's pretty bad yeah it's it's
something to say when you're talking up the Arizona Cardinals who have been just a complete
dumpster fire for their entire existence and they look great. They got it right with the hiring
of Gannon as the head coach and they have a good identity. And don't look now, John, this
defense is playing really, really well. I think there was a stat where like they haven't given up a
touchdown since like week eight. So, you know, I got to start taking note of the Arizona Cardinals here
in my defensive streamer articles, but they looked really good and they got a foundation of their
offense. It's James Connor. And, you know, he looked fantastic. He only ran for 33 yards,
but he was popping off some runs here and there and he was in there as a receiver, five for 80.
That's really where he made his hay for you for fantasy. But Kyler, you know, he's beep,
pop, boop, running around doing his thing. 22 of 24, John, for 266 and a score for Kyler.
And the touchdown pass does go to our guy, Marvin Harrison, Jr., which saves his five for 54 day.
What do you think of the, again, first place, Arizona Cardinals?
Well, I think we, me, especially this year, is kind of overreacted to Kyler's up and down nature for fantasy.
I think obviously that's what we do.
not paying as close attention to, you know, the nuanced things.
But clearly he's bought into this system, let's say.
And I have felt positively about Gannon in general dating back to last year.
Like, yeah, they got something there.
And you're right, they do have an identity.
Their O line is pretty good.
And James Conner continues to bring it.
And their defense has been a lot better than it anyway.
unexpected even starling thomas is starting to come on so good credit to uh credit to everybody there
i do though still think that they are a week to week and that this one just turned into a good schematic
matchup and or caught him on a bad day and or are seeing the beginning of the the jets complete
demise uh but again not to diminish what they what they did they kicked their asses
no doubt about it but I will believe it when I see it uh in terms of what are we gonna what are
we gonna do next week you know because that's been a thing but but definitely definitely credit
to Kyler and everybody else involved there uh but yeah they do I will say this if they're not
get I know I know they didn't run a ton but I feel like they did enough
if if they're particularly not having success in the running game that could be a problem I still
I look at Kyler's line here, like, yeah, this is probably where you want to be, 24 attempts a game.
Which is not great.
Which is not great.
Which is not great.
I mean, that's, you're moving the football.
They could kind of do whatever they wanted against this, what was supposed to be wanted Jets defense.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, this game must have matched up well.
They really didn't have an answer to Trey McBride.
And otherwise, they were fine.
It was really Connor and McBride, honestly.
I mean, Harrison got him on the tutty, but yeah, but the Jets are done.
They're obviously not dead.
Yeah, good thing you got the Devante Adams here.
Why don't you get somebody else?
Get him out of her time.
Get another name, you know, like Dalvin Cook, Aaron Rogers, Devonte Adams.
It's just going to, you're just going to bring those players down because you're the Jets.
What's Randy Moss up to?
Let's get him out.
It's like that Doritos commercial or Pepsi or whatever where Emmett Smith and Dan Marino.
come out of retirement.
Oh, man.
Randy Moss, though.
Biggest front runner of all time, by the way.
Nobody likes to say that, but I will.
Absolute front runner.
Things are going great.
Oh, look at me go.
The tough gets going.
Cam Newton holds like a cheap time with him for that title.
I mean, I watched him live in the 2000 NFC title game.
It's like, dude, you're Randy Moss.
You're a Hall of Famer.
you're in the prime of your career
we're in the NFC championship game
oh by the way
you have another Hall of Famer
playing across from you
to take pressure off
what can you do for us Randy
the answer
two catches for 18 yards on seven targets
that's Randy Moss
he'd be laughed out of the league
if that happened here but oh he did it
he did it I did love me from Chris Carter
he was phenomenal yeah
Boy, it was a little bit more reliable than Moss.
Arizona heads into their buy now with a six and four record.
It pains me to do this, John.
We saved it for last.
But I guess we can officially close the book on the 2024 Dallas Cowboys.
At 3 and 6, the season is over.
Dak Prescott is going to be going on IR.
He's going to have, from his words,
they said during the broadcast season-ending surgery,
on his hamstring.
They get their asses kicked by the Philadelphia Eagles 34 to 6 in Big D.
Let's start with the Eagles.
The Eagles probably could have scored more points early on in this game.
John, to be honest, they threw an interception in the end zone that was meant for Dallas Goddard,
who, by the way, looked fantastic out there in his return from injury.
You know, is Jalen Hertz being that quiet MVP candidate that he is?
Two rushing touchdowns, ran for 56 yards, threw for another.
200 and two touchdowns through the air in really three quarters worth of work.
AJ Brown, nice game, 109 yards.
I mentioned Goddard.
Skinny Batman, though, doesn't come through.
He's kind of like the odd man out.
It become like their shot play guy in this offense.
And remember last week was it a week ago when he didn't even do anything until
AJ Brown left the game.
Was that last week of the week before?
Either way.
But it's like he's kind of that odd man out right now.
yeah and which is weird because it's not like there's another man in other than brown so it's like
what we we can i mean this what i'm talking about like can we support two really good receivers
uh it's it's i mean i guess not it's it's it's all the barclay law yeah you know they're running
the ball i know yeah that's it yeah well and that's smart and a lot of fronts because that's the
strength of the offense and it seems to be really helping hurts i mean i was worried about hurts in
september but he has settled into an excellent place now where he's on the money i mean his is
downfield ball location is back so it looks like kelly moore is doing a really good job even though
the they are they are a brown injury away from having arguably the worst receiving core in the league
you know it was good to see jahan dotson good to see dots and get out there and he made a play
this week and the rookie Johnny Wilson from Florida State.
They got in the fifth to six round of the draft.
He caught a touchdown this week.
But you're right.
Yeah, they cannot afford to lose A.J. Brown.
This team goes in the tank if he's not there.
So the Eagles headed into their big matchup Thursday night
against the commanders for control of the NFC East.
On the other side, I was surprised how the Cowboys fans, John, reacted to a team that was
without Dak Prescott.
And these fans were like booing and just dumbfounded that Cooper Rush couldn't lead them down
the field.
Folks, it's Cooper Rush.
What do you think this offense was going to look like?
You haven't had a running game all year.
Rico Dowdle runs for 53 yards.
You've got one receiver in C.D. Lamb, who by the way, if you have him for fantasy, good
luck.
What did you expect?
I wouldn't be surprised if Mike McCarthy gets.
canned already and they just
clear the deck and they just go, all right, let's get ready
for next year. Dax done.
Big Mike's done. Shut everybody down.
Put it on ice.
Yeah. I mean, well, as we discussed
last week, I mean,
just an absolute failure
on every level
with this coaching staff.
What did you think would happen?
Mike McCarthy, Brian Schottenheimer,
and Mike Zimmer? Really?
none of those guys were ever really good
I mean maybe McCarthy for a year or two
was considered kind of
ahead of the curve maybe but
yeah primary Rogers too that helps
go ask Brian Dayball about that with you know
working with prime Josh Allen
now he looks like an idiot he had Prime Aaron
he had Prime Aaron Rogers who
drove him out of town basically like
I don't know what they were thinking but
yeah Jerry well
he's 82 now
seems to be in very good health
so
I think he's going to live at least another 10
so what I'm trying to get to
is Jerry Jones is going to go
40 years without winning the Super Bowl
because they're not winning crap
it's just not happening
like it's not happening in Jerry's lifetime
the last two things I want to touch on with Dallas
first of all if you're a CD
lamb owner John how nervous
should you be? Should you be looking to trade him away before the rest of your league realizes,
oh my God, this team can't move the football? Or you just kind of grin and bear it because they
don't really have anybody else and, you know, he's going to get 10 plus targets a week.
But I mean, he went six for 21.
Yeah. I'd probably grin at and bear it.
I mean, I think we need to recognize your boy, Cooper de Jean, as being one of the toughest
matchups possible. Of course, Lamb's got him in week 17.
Them and Quinion Mitchell, a kid they drafted in the first round.
Those kids are stunned.
Yeah, he looks good.
But, yeah, at this point, I mean, they do have a good run here, though.
I mean, I'd say this is pretty good.
Houston, D.C., New York Giants, Cents, C.C., Carolina, Tampa.
That's not good.
Let me say this.
As the guy who writes the defensive streamer articles, folks, go add the Houston Texans defense.
In week 11, they play the Cowboys, who could be Cooper Rush, could be Trey Lance.
We'll talk about that next.
And then the following week, they play the Titans.
So if you need a good defense for two weeks, go add Houston.
They're available more than 50% of Yahoo Leagues.
All right.
So finally, let me ask about this quarterback position.
We know who Cooper Rush is.
All right, he's a backup.
He'll never push the ball down the field.
He likes getting it out of his hand really fast.
He threw for 45 yards on Sunday, John.
They've got Trey Lance.
who they use a draft pick to acquire from the 49ers in a trade.
This is the last year of his deal.
You got to see if he has anything left because do you want to sign him to a backup?
Or maybe, you know, there's somebody else wants him.
Who knows?
Whatever it is.
Yeah.
Do you just go forward now and say Trey Lance run the show?
I mean, it's certainly worth a try, but here's the problem.
Like it could exacerbate the downward spiral if he's brutal.
but I would give it a shot he's only 24 years old he's very talented but at this point it sure
seems like it's not happening but at some point yeah absolutely I would give it a shot otherwise
why the hell would you have it did you have him even on your roster right it's a perfect opportunity
you could salvage something like the season's over you're not you're dead I mean you're not
officially dead but you're dead uh at the very least if i'm a fan i want to see
it would be nice to see tray lance play well granted you know dach's still your guy but maybe you could
trade that lance and uh you know get a little johnny mingo action going here like what are they doing
they're trading for mingo i know it's long term but i don't know can you uh use them uh no apparently
not you got to get hunter lopke the ball i don't know man it's they're dead and i'm my guy fergus
is probably screwed too.
I mean, you can't even get Ferguson to seven or eight fantasy points
if you're Cooper Rush.
That's pretty bad.
No, I liked Ferguson this week too.
Well, the only thing more over than the Cowboys and the Jet Season is this podcast,
because we've said it all here, John.
Great stuff.
And then you and I will be back on Friday to preview week 11.
