Week 15 is finally here.
It's the start of the fantasy football playoffs.
Theo Greminger, Fantasy Football Daily, right here on the Fantasy Points Podcast Network.
So you're here.
You're finally in the playoffs.
If you're listening to this podcast, then you're in the playoffs.
It would be sort of counterintuitive if you tortured yourself by missing the playoffs
and still wanting to listen to a show like this.
We're talking about fantasy football risers here.
And I think it's very important to sort of look at scoring in the content.
of the season. It's very easy for us to go into whatever site we look at. Hopefully you're
using fantasy points for this one. And you go in, you pull up the total PPR points for whatever
player. Maybe you like looking at points per game averages. That's what I like to look at. And you
pull up and you see, what's this player average for the entire season? Should I start this player?
Should I use him? A lot of times we'll do that. And then a lot of times people will look and see what
did this player do last week? What was the usage looking like? All those things are valuable
tools. But when we get to this part of the season, December, December meaningful fantasy football
games, we've got to look at the season as what have you done for me lately? What have you done
in the month of November? What have you done last week in the first week of December? And how are
these players looking in terms of are they trending up or are they trending down? It really
becomes a trust factor. Now there's going to be a number of other circumstances you've got to look
at. It's not as cut in dry as this one. There's going to be the matchups teams are facing. If they're
facing like an absolutely loaded defense like the Seattle Seahawks, Houston Texans, you can sort
of lower your expectations for a player. Maybe a player is going up against a defense that's an
absolute train wreck against a specific position. For example, if a tight end is going up against a
Cincinnati Bengals. We're going to trend that player up a little bit. And you can find all that
information over at Fantasy Points or for a couple other sites, to be honest. But there's a lot of
context that goes into this. The season is incredibly long. Think about where were you when the
season kicked off and where were you on the opening Thursday, opening Friday of the NFL season.
I'll tell you what, it was hot outside. We had nothing but
high expectations for the season as a whole and we had an opportunity to like really like have an
optimistic look for the entire year and when you think back to it it's actually incredible that
we were watching games in the month of September that still have like an effect on what we're
doing right now so we go back to the NFL in week one and I remember where I
was i was in los vegas drafting teams in the ffpc and the nfc and had a chance to watch like with some
some good friends that i draft with every single year but think back to where you were where were
you when dallas played philadelphia in week one like that's a long long time ago where were you
when it was the chargers getting that opening season win over the kansas city chiefs on the the
the opening Friday of the season.
Like, where were you back in week one?
And to think that those scoring numbers still would have effect on what you're doing in
December seems like it lacks a lot of context.
There's been some very smart people out there that have said sort of just chop the NFL
season into four quarters.
You have essentially the first four games, the next four games, the next four games, the next four games.
I think that's fine.
I think when we get to this time a year, though, specifically, what did players do in the month of November?
What did they do in early December?
And sort of use that context as to what can we expect from them sort of moving forward.
Then when we factor things in like the NFL schedule coming up, matchups, all that sort of teammates.
If teammates are out, does their usage trend up?
I think we get a better picture of what we're looking at for the fantasy football playoffs.
So it's not a perfect science here.
But today we're going to specifically look at a few players that have been rising up in terms of their recent scoring numbers.
And talk about whether this can be something that's sustainable for the fantasy playoffs.
And I think we've got to start out with a player that's absolutely rocking and rolling and is going to be a player that's not in every single league playoffs.
We're talking about A.J. Brown.
And A.J. Brown, throughout the beginning,
of the season, this was sort of a train wreck pick where if you took A.J. Brown in round two,
you were absolutely hurting in a number of situations because the production and the target
volume, there was a lot of things missing. And then just sort of backtrack. Like, take yourself
back in time here. That opening game against Dallas, he had 1.8 points. He had a catch at the
very end of the game in the fourth quarter that allowed him to end up being on the scoreboard. It was
nearly a goose egg for A.J. Brown followed that one up with a 7.7 point game. Then a big
bounce back game against the Rams. If you recall, Philly had the big comeback win against L.A. in
Philly. And A.J. Brown had 22.9 points. But after that, it was literally nothing. There was a couple
of decent weeks mixed in, a wide receiver 19 week, a wide receiver 21 week. But if we look at what
AJ Brown's been able to do the last three weeks, it's absolutely stuck.
And we've created a situation where A.J. Brown teams, if they were able to get into their fantasy
playoffs, are looking very, very dangerous moving forward. A.J. Brown, in week 11, we saw a big
positive step forward against Detroit. He only had 11.9 ppr points, but he had 11 targets on the
week. So this was a sign of things to come. And the last three weeks, it's just been unbelievable
scoring numbers. Smash week against Dallas, 25 points. Smash week against Chicago, 35.2 points.
And then this past week against L.A., 16 points. 13 targets against L.A. This was a season
high for A.J. Brown. So the target volume is back. The production is back. And if we look at it in a
context, over A.J. Brown's last three games played, 25.7 points per game. Why?
Wide Receiver 1 in weeks 12 through 14, four straight games with double-digit targets for A.J. Brown.
So everything is sort of trending up.
Then we look at the schedule, Vegas this week, Washington next week,
and then that potential shootout against Buffalo in week 17.
And also with Philadelphia, you've got a team that needs wins right now.
This is not like some comfortable situation like last year.
with Philly. Like Philly this year, they're eight and five. So they have a two-game cushion on the
Dallas Cowboys. Dallas Cowboys are six, six and one here. But eight and five, they've really got to
keep fighting here in the NFC East. They are, they absolutely are in must-win territory against
these two bad teams, these next two weeks. Fully expect Philly to get those two games. And then
can they continue to build positive momentum against Buffalo in week 17? That's going to be a lot of
A.J. Brown. I think A.J. Brown completely trending up. And again, add context to the season.
Brown was a disaster for you early. He's still not going to pay off at ADP because you took him in
round two. But the season as a whole, the whole narrative could shift with A.J. Brown smashing
in the fantasy playoffs. Then you add into context, if you got an A.J. Brown team through in the
FFPC 350s, FFPC main events, NFFC primetime, NFFC Silver Bullet, or Best Ballion, or Best Ballion,
an underdog, then you've got like a potential edge pick because there's fewer A.J. Brown
teams out there and A.J. Brown is trending up. So it's a big sort of shift here. It might be
5% rosters in NFFC main events that have A.J. Brown. I have to look that one up.
But very, very interesting stuff when you look at his season and the arc and the narrative shifting.
And he's not the only one. Obviously Michael Wilson, you know Michael Wilson is absolutely balling.
especially in the weeks without Marvin Harrison, Jr.
And when we look at Michael Wilson,
if we take it from week 11 on,
sort of the first opportunity game for Michael Wilson
without Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson since week 11,
so the last four weeks,
is averaging 24.8 points per game,
wide receiver won overall in this stretch.
And Wilson has three games,
the three without Marvin,
Harrison Jr. with 15 targets or more in each of those games. Wilson is the only wide receiver
besides Jamar Chase this season to have three games of 15 targets or more. Absolutely stunning stuff.
Now, Marvin Harrison Jr. up in the air for this week, we don't know if he's going to be back.
I've had a couple people asking me, what are we doing with Wilson against the Houston Texans in a very
difficult defensive matchup? We're using Michael Wilson. If Marvin Harrison,
juniors out. This is sort of a no question one. The target volume is sustainable. You've also got a
lack of a running game in Arizona. You've got Jacoby Brissette who's been, we could have talked
about Jacoby Brissette on this show. He's absolutely been a huge fantasy edge for you over the last
six weeks or so. But with Jacoby Brissette, we know that the passing volume is going to be
very, very high. So we are feeling very bullish about where we're at with Michael Wilson,
regardless of matchup, it's just a, is Marvin Harrison Jr. in the lineup?
Jacoby percent has done a fantastic job of supporting not only Trey McBride, but a secondary
pass catcher. Unbelievable stuff. If we look at, from week 11 on, Michael Wilson,
wide receiver one overall, and at the exact same time, Trey McBride is the tight end one
overall. So Jacoby Brissette's been able to support the tight end one overall and the wide
receiver one overall in the last four weeks of play.
And Jacoby Brissette himself is the QB3 overall in this span.
So just wild stuff.
Again, that's a four-game sample size, but it still tells us a lot about the way
things are going right now as we're heading into the fantasy football playoffs.
Let's take a quick break.
When we come back, we're talking about a few more wide receivers as well as a
couple of quarterbacks that are trending up heading into the fantasy football
playoffs. Welcome back. Theo Greminger, Fantasy Football Daily on the Fantasy Points Podcast Network. If you're

Talking about the wide receiver position,
we would be remiss if we didn't talk about Christian Watson.
Christian Watson, I can't stop talking about him.
We've talked about him on School of Scott, Scott Barrett and I.
We've talked about him with Graham Barfield on Fantasy Football Daily on our start-sit show.
Weeks and weeks ago, we were recommending him with Joe Dolan and Tom Brawley and I as a waiver wire pickup.
And Watson has absolutely ran pure.
This past week against Chicago, huge, huge week for him.
This was his season high in PPR points, 24.9 points scored, wide receiver six.
week before that against Detroit on Thanksgiving, that was the game where the target volume was super high, 10 targets in that one, finished as the wide receiver 12 overall in that one, had 18.3 points. This has been a real trend for Watson, and he's been running incredibly pure in the touchdown department, two touchdowns in week 11, a touchdown in week 13, two touchdowns in week 14. That's five touchdown catches over his last four weeks played.
Watson is a weapon of mass destruction in fantasy when he's healthy and on the field.
And he looks about as healthy as he's ever looked.
Really an explosion player that can do it on big plays,
excellent with the ball in his hands, a chance to really like jam on the yards after the catch
when he gets an opportunity in the open field and a player that can get behind just about any defense.
Jordan Love and Christian Watson have a real connection here.
And if we look at Christian Watson in context, if we go back to week 11 for Christian Watson, we're talking about the wide receiver.
Let me actually change that up.
I almost misspoke.
I missed a game here.
I don't want to give you the wrong stat here.
So Christian Watson, since week 11, is the wide receiver six overall with 18.4 points per game.
So Watson really is trending up.
And the Green Bay Packers' offense is getting easier and easier to trust week in, week out.
Jordan Love looks completely locked in.
They got back Jaden Reed last week, a very dangerous player that can do a lot of things out there.
So when you add Reed out there, Josh Jacobs still healthy, Christian Watson, this is an offense that's getting easier and easier to trust.
Now, Green Bay also playing for an absolute ton.
Green Bay has a chance to get home field advantage in the NFC.
Obviously, they're trailing L.A.
They're trailing Seattle.
But Green Bay is 9, 3, and 1.
They're in the driver's seat to win the NFC North.
And when we look at Green Bay's schedule, this is a difficult week.
They play Denver on the road.
Denver also is vying for the AFC number one seed.
So that's a huge game.
Then they play Chicago in week 16.
And then week 17, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens come into Green Bay,
a game that looked very difficult at the beginning of the season.
We like Green Bay's chances in that one.
So they're going to need a lot out of Watson.
Watson's got a chance this week on the road against Denver.
Obviously a very difficult matchup against that defense,
but Watson is significantly trending up.
Another wide receiver who's a little bit under the radar here
that I've really been impressed with recently,
we're talking about Jacoby Myers.
And Jacobi Myers, absolutely trending up here.
Myers, if we recall, was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
And when the trade went down, people didn't really know what to make of this one.
It seemed like it was a, what's Jacoby Myers going to do sort of situation when we get to this new sort of at the time somewhat crowded.
situation where you had Parker Washington at the time doing very, very well. You had Brian Thomas
people sort of waiting for, and then you get this acquisition of Jacobi Myers. And Myers has been
very, very good. And we've started to see it with some strong, strong scoring weeks from Myers.
So Myers has actually been absolutely consistent here too, where if we look at Myers,
as a whole season counting stats, it's not nearly as impressive.
He averages 11.5 points per game for the year.
But if we specifically look at what he's been able to do over the last four weeks in Jacksonville,
wide receiver 22, wide receiver 20, wide receiver 11, wide receiver 19.
So four straight weeks of giving you either a low end wide receiver one week or a wide receiver
two week. So over the last four weeks played for Jacoby Myers, he's averaging 14.8, excuse me,
15.6 points per game. And he's had 14.8 points or more over his last three games. So 15 points
per game over the last month for Jacobi Myers, been very, very impressive. I think you need to
rise him up as a high-end wide receiver three, a player that can give you an edge at the flex position
or your wide receiver three spot in the fantasy playoffs.
This Jacksonville Jaguars team, they're trending up.
They're getting easier and easier to trust on a weekly basis.
And this is a team that's also playing for a lot.
A very consolidated team as well.
We can expect a lot out of Travis ETN, expect a lot out of Jacoby Myers.
And Brenton Strange is absolutely on the radar for us in terms of tight end streamers.
And the schedule is also very beneficial.
We have a huge matchup here, a game where the Jaguars could put a huge number up against the New York Jets this week and week 15.
This is a start your Jaguars type week, start the Jacksonville defense, start Jacoby Myers, start ETN, start Strange, start Trevor Lawrence.
And then next week on the road against Denver, difficult one there.
Then they get the Colts in week 17 during fantasy football championship week.
And we just saw the Jaguars put 36 up on them this past week in week 14.
So Jacobi Myers trending up.
And Myers is not the only one.
Wild stat here.
Over the last four games played, Trevor Lawrence is the QB4 overall.
Lawrence is a player that we love to sort of beat up on.
I've been on plenty of podcasts here at Fantasy.
points where it's it's been easy to sort of be a Trevor Lawrence hater. The guy has been leaving
a lot to be desired for a lot of his career, but it's starting to click. The Liam Cohn
effect last year where we saw Liam Cohen leading Baker Mayfield to like this incredible,
incredible season in Tampa Bay. It hasn't quite been that with Trevor Lawrence. And when we
look at Trevor Lawrence from a season perspective, he's the QB 14 overall.
in points per game. So like sort of a purgatory guy for this season, but if we look at context
over the last four weeks played, QB 11 in week 11, QB7 overall in week 12, the QB5 against
Tennessee in week 13, and then drops to the QB 13 this week against Indianapolis, but again,
the team rolled. So Trevor Lawrence is the QB4 overall over the last month played. I think he's
absolutely on the streaming radar this week
against the Jets. And I think he'll be
on the streaming radar in
week 17 for championship
week when we go up
against this Indianapolis
Colts team that could be completely
reeling at that time with either Philip
Rivers or Riley Leonard behind
center. So Trevor Lawrence
significantly rising up in the
quarterback department. One quarterback
to mention, but you sort of
already know this one. Over the
last two weeks, Joe Burrow,
just completely locked in, didn't miss a beat.
In fact, Joe Burroughs been more productive recently than he was at the beginning of the season before he got hurt.
He's the QB4 overall in the last two games played, completely locked in.
I love Joe Burrow, love the way the Bengals are looking.
If we look at the Bengals schedule coming up, then we've got a lot to like.
You've got this week against Baltimore in Cincinnati, T. Higgins looks like he's going to
miss, but we don't really want to knock Joe Burrow at all. There's been several games here where
he's had to do without and been able to sort of produce. We've got Jamar Chase, obviously,
one of the best players in football. Mike Jaseki is on the streaming radar this week. We've
plenty of options for him in the passing game, but Joe Burrow himself completely locked in
this one. Then you've got Miami in week 16, which is tricky. Miami's been playing well.
They've won four straight games. But that,
game, we don't have to worry about the weather. It's nice to get a warm weather game there.
Then you've got in week 17 for all the money, a smash game matchup against the Arizona
Cardinals. Joe Burrow completely, completely locked in. Also, one more quarterback to mention
Tyler Shuck. Tyler Shuck is trending upwards. We've seen Tyler Shuck with some really,
really strong performances.
He's been really, really effective this past week with his legs.
We saw two touchdowns, two rushing touchdowns for Shuck.
And it's interesting, Chuck was the eighth pick in the second round this year,
but sort of completely brushed off.
He's an older guy.
There was a lot of NFL draft analysts out there who thought it was ridiculous
that he was drafted this early in round two.
So 26 years old, went ahead of a couple of quarterbacks that a number of analysts thought would go in that range.
The Shadur Sanders, Jalen Milrow, both those players were sort of ranked a little bit higher on a number of analysts boards.
But Tyler Shuck is very interesting.
Played at a number of colleges.
It was Senior Bowl participant last season.
And Tyler Shuck, it's been really trending up in terms of the scoring.
But again, 55 rushing yards this past week and two rushing touchdowns, and they get the win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
So a huge win for Kellyn Moore.
I'd say that was the biggest win for Kellynne Moore since he took over as New Orleans head coach.
Really easily the biggest win for him.
And when we look at Tyler Shuck in context, QB 12 overall in week 10, QB 12 overall in week 13, and then the QB6 overall this past week.
So Tyler Shuck has finished as a QB1 in three out of his last four games played.
And then when we look at the upcoming schedule for Shuck, there's a lot to like here.
You've got Tennessee in week, excuse me, Tennessee's week 17, the Jets are week 16,
and then the Panthers are this week in week 15.
So all winnable matchups for him, two home games, and then that one road game,
is on the road in Tennessee.
Tyler Shuck is trending up as we go into the fantasy football playoffs.
Let's take a quick break.
We come back.
We're talking about running backs and tight ends that are trending up
towards the end of the season right after this.

players at the running back position. Just a quick reminder. And this is one, hey, I'm not teaching you
anything, but Jamir Gibbs completely lapping the field. And Jamir Gibbs does this seemingly
every single December. Since week 10, Jamir Gibbs is averaging 32.4 ppr points. Just remarkable what
Gibbs has been able to do. And with Jamir Gibbs, we get a potential shootout this week against the
Rams. We love that one. And there's no reason to sort of bet against him. Look at some of these
scoring outbursts. Just absolutely ridiculous stuff. 38 points against Washington in
week 10, 19.6 against Philly, 55.4 points against the New York Giants, then really kind of
took a week off against Green Bay, disappointing number there with 11.6, and then bounces back
with a 37 point week. I would rather have Jemir Gibbs than any single player in fantasy football
for the fantasy football playoffs.
I think he's completely locked in.
I recorded a show with Dave Kluge right here on Fantasy Football Daily
where we dropped our way too early 2026 rankings.
Absolute sicko stuff for you guys out there that want to get a leg up on 2026.
If you're listening on the podcast feed, just go in and look for the show with Dave Kluge.
It was very recent.
Jemir Gibbs easily my 101 in 201 in 26.
I think he's going to absolutely destroy things in the,
playoffs here, and the Lions need wins. So the Lions are in a situation where they're fighting,
they want to make the playoffs here, they still have an opportunity in the division if Green Bay
slips up. You've got the Lions facing the Rams this week. You've got the Lions facing the Bay,
excuse me, I misread that one. The Lions face the Rams this week. Then they face the Steelers.
And then, and that Steelers game is a potential smash spot.
Pittsburgh's been very generous to opposing running backs this year.
And Detroit gets them in Detroit in week 16.
And then week 17, Jemir Gibbs goes up against the Minnesota Vikings.
And let's take a little flashback.
We'll get in a little time machine.
And let's go back to 2024.
And let's look at what Jemir Gibbs was able to do against Minnesota.
And this one was in week.
18. So this one had no effect on fantasy football leagues unless you play in some weird league
that has week 18 scoring. But Jamir Gibbs scored 46 points in that one. He had 170 total
yards and he had four touchdowns. So could history repeat itself? Week 18 last year, week 17 this
year, Jamir Gibbs, absolute smash spot. And you're going to say, yo Theo, that doesn't really
help me at all. I know I'm starting Jamir Gibbs. I have a lot of confidence in him.
And the next two players are absolutely in your starting lineup,
but they're still scoring very, very highly.
And let's talk about Chase Brown.
Chase Brown is super interesting because Chase Brown has somehow become the most valuable running back from his draft class.
You're talking about Bruce Hall and Kenneth Walker were sort of the early early, early, early
risers in that 2022 NFL draft class. It was Breece Hall and then it was Kenneth Walker,
both selected inside a round two. And for Dynasty managers, both those guys were like premium
blue chip assets for us at one time or another. Now, Breece Hall certainly could bounce back
next year free agent. Kenneth Walker, we love the talent. Situation is not so great. You also
had Zach Charbonnet selected in that draft class as well. But when you look at that NFL draft class
in 2022, excuse me, Jack, Zach Charbonnet, not in that draft class, but we got the
Breeshall and Kenneth Walker. And when we look at the 2022 class, Chase Brown has made himself
the most valuable fantasy asset coming out of this draft class, unbelievable stuff when it
comes to Chase Brown. And Chase Brown, we've seen Chase Brown have last year where Chase Brown was
like a league winner for us. And Chase Brown ended up being.
being a player that we saw help win leagues.
And then the following season,
following off season,
we had like the fear in the community.
Excuse me,
I misspoke on Chase Brown,
2023 NFL draft class.
So ignore everything I said about that one.
20203 class continues to hit.
Jemir Gibbs, Bejohn Robinson, Devon A-chan,
and also Chase Brown,
all going to be RB-1s this year.
But Chase Brown, so forget what I said.
No, no shade.
to the briefsall, Kenneth, Kenneth Walker manager.
It's just complete miss speaking on that one.
Long season, everybody.
But Chase Brown since week nine, averaging 17.9 points per game,
no week with fewer than 15 points scored.
And he's the RB7 in points per game since week nine.
So there was a lot of like, kind of like AJ Brown,
Chase Brown was a player that steamed up in fantasy drafts
and looked like a disaster pick earlier in the,
year. But the sort of production he's giving you now, this is like that round two, round three
production that you paid for during redraft season. So Chase Brown started out the year and didn't
have a single top 10 performance until week eight. But since week eight on, absolutely been
smashing. Chase Brown trending up along with the Cincinnati Bengals, there's a chance that
when we look back at the fantasy playoffs,
Chase Brown is the league winner at the running back spot.
If he can give us some 20 plus point per game finish here.
Obviously, Jemir Gibbs, Devon A-chan players like that,
Christian McCaffrey,
but Brown could end up being an edge player for us in the playoffs.
Another running back who's had a significant sort of narrative shift
really for his career is Travis ETS.
We talked about Trevor Lawrence, we talked about Jacobi Myers, but really when we look at
Liam Cohen over the last two seasons, he's been the like running back whisperer.
Last year we saw like the ascension of Bucky Irving, certainly a player that we were on here
at fantasy points and helped a lot of you win last year.
But the shift with ETIN was dramatic.
16.6 points per game in 2023, all the way down to 8.7 in 2024.
And this year really, really trending up, really pacing to be an RB1 this year for the second time in his career.
So we had the 16.6 points per game mark in 2023.
I don't think he'll get there.
Right now he's at 14.6, but never say never.
When it comes to ETN, really, really been trending up.
Since week 9, he's averaging 16.4 points per game.
He's the RB8 in points per game average in this span.
So this is a really strong sample size for him.
You also factor in, Basial Tutin last week had a fumble that sort of led to increased usage for ETN.
Finished with 21.2 points this past week, which was actually a.
season high, RB5 overall on the week. And we've seen 19 points or more in three out of his last
four weeks played. ETN is completely, completely locked in. It really turned things around.
We'll be interesting to see like how he's treated during the off season. Does Jacksonville sort of
extend him long term or does he sort of play elsewhere? I think he's earned himself to be the Jacksonville
Jaguars running back again next year. Now the schedule is interesting where we've got Jacksonville
with the Jets this week. So smash spot for ETN. Then Denver on the road. And then week 17 again
against these Indianapolis Colts, a team that he just sort of smash weeked against. So
ETN completely locked in. Another running back to mention Kyle Monong guy. He's the RB 13 in.
total points since week nine. So Menangai really, really locked in right now. And when we look at
Monongai, it's sort of this dual-headed backfield when it comes to the Chicago Bears,
where we're trusting, we've been trusting DeAndre Swift a good deal. But Menongai really is a
fun player for you in the fantasy football playoffs in your flex spot. So again, sort of wild to think
about, RB 13 in total points scored since week nine. Again, certain teams had bye weeks,
so that number is a little bit skewed. But when we look at what Mononga has been able to do,
the scoring has been relatively consistent. This past week was disappointing, but he gave you
8.7 points. But the weeks before that, it was 19 points, 10.8, 10.7, 8.8. And then the week
before that had the big week with 22.8.
So Menangai, again, he's more of a flex play for you, but it's still worth noting
that when look at this context over the last month plus, Menangai has been giving you
a number of usable weeks in there.
And you know the context for what you need out of a flex, out of an RB2 spot.
The matchups usually are telling there's certain weeks where if you need a guy who can
get you 11, 12 points.
you're feeling really, really good with Monongai in there.
And again, the bears, the way everything is sort of shifting with the Dunezay banged up,
is you can anticipate both running backs getting touches.
I think they're going to be very, very running back centric.
It also protects Caleb Williams to use their running backs like that.
Staying at the running back spot, an interesting player to discuss is Kenneth Gainwell.
And Kenneth Gainwell sort of continues the trend of players sign.
as free agents and trend up in usage, this is actually like a very interesting one because
Gainwell is up to RB23 on the season in points per game, sort of a player you would never
expect to have a low end RB2 sort of season here. But Gainwell, the scoring numbers have just
been terrific over the last month. He was the RB5 overall in week 11 against Cincinnati. Follow that up
with an RB9 overall week in week 12 with 18 points.
So nearly 30 points against Cincinnati in week 11, then 18 points in week 12 against Chicago,
and then comes back to Earth against Buffalo, only six and a half points.
So people put him on the bench for week 14 against Baltimore, and he shows up, gives you 16.2 points.
And what's really been driving this fantasy success for Gainwell is the reception totals.
Seven catches in week 11, six catches in week 12, only two in week 13, but six catches again in week 14 against Baltimore.
And when we take a step back and look at what Kenneth Gainwell has been able to do on the season, he's seventh among all running backs in targets.
And he's sixth among all running backs in receptions.
Kenneth Gainwell has 50 catches on the season.
So Gainwell is really showing up.
50 catches is obviously a career high.
And during his time in Philly, he never had more than 33.
He's got 50 already.
We'll have north of 60 receptions when the season ends.
He also has six touchdowns on the year, which has tied a career high,
go back to his rookie season to sort of find the last time he had a six touchdown year.
So Gainwell's really sort of rejuvenated himself in Pittsburgh.
Jalen Warren was sort of the talk of the early season, but it's been Kenneth Gainwell.
And Pittsburgh, I think, is going to lean into this.
Steelers are 7 and 6.
They lead the AFC North, and they have a couple of winnable games here.
Miami this week on Monday night football, a chance for Gainwell to have a few more receptions than that one.
Then Gainwell and Pittsburgh are on the road in Detroit in week 16.
Very difficult matchup for them.
But the game flow could dictate Gainwell getting a number of receptions there.
Then week 17 against the Browns, almost a must-win game.
So Pittsburgh ends the year with the Browns and then the Ravens.
Both of those games are going to be significant for their chances to win the division.
Really, they would like to get this win against Miami.
Again, that's easier said than done.
Miami's won four straight games.
But Gainwell, a very, very interesting player.
We'll also talk about a tight end.
Colby Parkinson since week 10 on
Colby Parkinson is the tight end eight in points per game
and he's been running pure with four touchdown catches
in his last five games played.
So this Rams team really had like sort of a log jam
a number of tight ends sort of fighting for targets.
Parkinson has separated himself from the pack here.
Again, we love chasing volume.
We hate chasing touchdowns.
but Parkinson's been a good enough bet with this sort of consistent scoring
that he's worth putting in your lineup if you're in bad shape at tight end.
I know Parkinson is still available on a few waiver wires right now,
even in deeper formats like FFPC Dynasty leagues.
I've seen Parkinson available in a few formats.
He should be scooped up.
There's a chance that he could end up with a two touchdown game at some point in the fantasy playoffs.
He's also a great way sort of from a game theory,
perspective. If you have a Pucanakua, a Devante Adams, a Matt Stafford, and you're leaning into
the Rams passing attack, you can build an onslaught, sort of to steal a DFS term, an onslaught true
stack with Matthew Stafford, a Rams wide receiver, and Colby Parkinson, especially in a week
where you maybe feel like you're the underdog and you need things to sort of run pure, so
things tilt your way in a one-week matchup. You got to remember, it's a one-week game in most
fantasy playoffs where it's win or go home and leaning into a Rams team that has put up some
ridiculously high-scoring numbers, 34 points against the Bucks a few weeks back, 34 points
against the Saints, 42 points against San Francisco, 45 this past week against Arizona,
and even in a losing effort, 28 against Carolina in week 13.
This week, a potential shootout against a Lions team that was just in a shootout with the Dallas Cowboys.
Lions lose Brian Branch this week.
That defense, it's going to be struggling on the road in L.A.
Then a really difficult matchup on the road in Seattle.
Seattle defense completely lights out.
Week 16, a tilting one for Rams players.
but again, that game could also shift over.
The last two times these teams played, it was 2119, L.A.
But the game could tilt over.
We will see which way it goes, but we really, really love both of these teams.
I think both these teams have a chance at being Super Bowl bound.
And then week 17, a game that we've been circling in fantasy pretty much all season long,
week 17, Rams on the road in Atlanta, Colby Parkinson in that one.
hey, Colby Parkinson, that could be the two-touchdown game right there.
So consider Colby Parkinson.
Another tight end that's sort of been trending up that's worth mentioning is Colston
Loveland, which very interesting to look at like Loveland.
Loveland's been scoring pretty well the last few weeks.
And when we factor in, one of the weeks was the huge, huge scoring week for Loveland.
But even if we take that week nine, I believe that was week nine.
where Loveland had his very big scoring outburst where he had the 29.8 point game.
So obviously when you have a 30 point game, it's going to skew numbers towards you.
So just for this exercise, that game was in week nine.
But just for this exercise, let's remove week nine entirely.
And if we look at week 10 on for Colston Loveland, he's still the tight end six in points per game.
And it just goes to show you just what a dumpster fire.
tight end has been not in points per game in total points for colston lovelin so total tight end points
he's he's still a tight end one here um but again when we look at colston lovelin in context of
adding in that big scoring number that we saw in week nine it becomes even more prominent so if we
add in the big week nine performance colston lovelin is the tight end three since week nine on and you're
to say Theo, you know, that 30-pointer, we can't chase that with Loveland, but we did have a 15-point week in
week 12 and a 12.9 point week this past week in week 14. And maybe that that's going to be a little
bit of a sign of things to come. Again, DJ Moore completely dust right now and Romadunzei
completely banged up. So Loveland has an opportunity to make a impact in the fantasy football
playoffs. So Loveland almost assured to be rostered in every single league, but double check your
league to see if Colby Parkinson is available. This was a really fun one. Make sure you're checking
out the Start Sit Show that I'm dropping with Graham Barfield this week. Make sure you check out
