It was a wild and wacky.
Week 15 of the 2023 NFL season.
We are going to get into it here on the Fantasy Points podcast.
My name is Joe Dolan with Tom Browling, Graham Barfield.
year at fantasy points.com. I want to remind everybody that if you go to fantasy points.com,
you're a subscriber to fantasy points.com or you're not a subscriber to fantasy points.com.
What we're going to have is we're going to have articles, betting articles, fantasy articles,
help for you throughout the 2023 postseason. And you can get in on that, including all of
2024 with our early bird special at fantasy points.com. Everything is discounted 20%.
And if you use code Santa points 24, you get an extra 10% off at fantasy points.com.
Are you authorized to give that out?
We're already giving out for 20% off, Joe.
We're giving away too much here.
I mean, we have the Santa codes.
We've got the early bird codes.
I'm actually, not only am I authorized to give that out, I created the damn code,
and I'm just making sure that it's the right code, just so people don't get mad at me.
Yes, it is Santa points 24.
Already well over.
So here's the thing.
When we sent out the email for the early bird special, I said,
I said, read the damn email people because there's an incentive in it.
And you would be surprised how many people didn't even read that part of the email.
I'm actually not surprised.
They want the TLDR at the top.
Well over 100 of those codes have been redeemed already.
And also, which is not even.
close to the number of people who have subscribed to the early bird. But anyway, get in on the
early bird. It gets you the rest of 2023 and all of 2024 for the lowest price we're going to
offer all year. So there's one disclaimer. Here's another disclaimer, guys. Because of the way the NFL
schedule has fallen and Christmas is a Monday, this is our last market report of the year. And
what we've determined is it's essentially just basically at this point of the season. It's just an
injury report anyway. You know, it's not like teams are deciding, oh, you know, this guy we've benched
all year. You know, he's now going to be all of a sudden fantasy relevant. So Christmas is a Monday,
but we're going to have waiver wire and all of our general articles for next week, obviously still
to help you through the playoffs. And then, of course, once when you get to week 18, Graham, you're
going to have your motivation article. It's really hard to look at the situation now and say, oh,
this team's going to be resting starters or this team's going to be motivated. Things will change,
but certainly Graham and Tom, we're going to have a couple of.
of teams in week 18 who are going to have no motivation to play anybody and they're just going to
start their scrubs and and that obviously is why most fantasy leagues don't play in week yeah it happens
every year there's going to be some dead teams there's going to be some teams that like we're talking
about Detroit potentially being one of them where they you know maybe want to rest their guys going
into the playoff rounds but yeah um you know shout out by the way shout out to scott baron
uh taking down the red zone before we before we get in the show taking down the red zone for 25k our guy
Scott has been grinding DFS for years.
Like, I've been, I've been brute informed to take something down for six, seven years.
You finally did it, 25 grand.
And as a part of the postseason coverage, you can get Scott's DFS breakdown for the
playoff rounds.
There's two really good slates, really, wildcard and divisional round for DFS.
So if you're subscribing for Early Bird for next year, that will be a part of your coverage.
And you can read Scott's breakdown, but really shout out to him, man.
I mean, such a 16, 206 DK points.
super super sharp team.
Oh, by the way, every player in it was written up in his DFS breakdown.
So it's not like...
We had a sub who also won big off of that article as well.
He basically had the same lineup outside of like a little different structure.
And he put up 209.
So just a really, really successful week.
Our guy, Trace, taking down 20,000.
I think we're due, guys.
Like, what the hell are we doing over here?
Let's like win the best ball millionaire or one of these puppies or, you know.
We should probably try to do that.
Yeah, well, I'll like to thank,
well, I guess I could thank
Dak Prescott and CD Lamb for getting me
to the quarterfinals and Underdog.
They were my two most drafted players.
And I'd like to thank Dak Prescott and CDLand
for eliminating me from most of those,
from most of those quarterfinals
because they took a gigantic crap right there.
At least they had that drive at the end of the game there.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, seven points from Dak.
I mean, Mike.
All right.
Las Vegas and the Chargers guys.
Brandon Staley got fired because,
Brandon Staley's defense gave up 63 points to a Raiders team that didn't score in week in week 14.
That's why Brandon Staley got fired on top of many other things.
T-Bro, you obviously have broken this game down already.
What's your opinion here?
Anything with the Raiders that, you know, maybe did you see enough from Zemir White if Josh Jacobs doesn't play?
Although I think there's some optimism.
And of course, they're playing the Chiefs this week, which is a much harder defense to play against.
Yeah, I think Jacobs will probably play this week.
It seemed like he was pushing.
Might have had a chance to play if this game was on a Sunday, but it was not.
It was on a Thursday.
But Zamir White will be at the top of the waiver wire again this week.
Just in case he's, Josh Jacobs is out.
Game broke absolutely perfectly for them to play a lot,
obviously playing in a huge positive game script all game.
Looked like they were going to have a three-man rotation if it was not so lopsided.
All three backs played on that opening drive.
But things kind of got out of the way, out of control.
role and they were able to feed Zemir White.
But it looks like Jacobs will be back.
And he seems like the type of guy.
This team is still playing hard for Antonio Pierce,
even though they don't really have a whole lot to play for.
They're still.
Yeah, they might want him to keep his job,
which is in the car.
Another interim head coach that's won the locker room go.
Like this, this dude, you know,
these guys love playing for him.
I mean, they should have promoted Rich Bessaccia a couple of years ago.
when he was when he was, you know, coaching him up.
Yeah, Bessaccia was loved by the players.
And let's be honest, I mean, the Raiders are really far away from contending.
So like, why not, you know, give him a chance and let in this locker room that, you know, loves him and the players that they're going to keep, you know, continue to build around them.
My goodness, Chargers fans, I'm sorry.
I don't know what else to say.
I'm just sorry.
It's for the best, though.
Yeah, I mean, it's time to move on.
This is Rock Bottom.
You know, as a Jags fan, I've been to Rock Bottom multiple times.
welcome Chargers fans so yeah it'll look up from here I mean you guys are going to get you know
top of the crop for coaches in terms of who's going to want to come there for Herbert
I'm glad they fired Telesco too like you have to restart that roster's got to be burning
you know we're aging on this daily stuff but it needs a complete reset so I'm glad that they
did everything so they do and they'll move mac and bosa and they're going to have to move some
dudes um for fantasy on their side real quick I mean Josh Palmer's clearly
healthy. Hey, you put him on IR for five weeks. Justin Herbert pops his finger and then he goes
off. Keenan, I have no idea. I kind of got the feeling. I wrote that up. I got the feeling that
they're like, take the week off, dude. You've been playing through a lot of injuries. We have a quick
turnaround. I kind of would expect him to be back, but that's one. We'll have, you know, these teams
will practice early in a week and we'll get, we'll see the injury report. But Echler is dead too. I mean,
Oh, yeah, yeah.
They're starting to rotate in all these other backs behind.
Yeah, I think Eckler is benchable.
I mean, if you're even to a point where he's on a playoff team for you.
I mean, I just one of the biggest buffs in fantasy football.
There's no doubt about that.
He's obviously not healthy.
Josh Palmer, you can play probably.
I mean, at least Stick was out there.
He was 23 at 32.
I mean, of course, a lot of that came in the second half after they were getting blown out.
But at the very least, you know when they're losing.
He can get the ball to his guys.
And they're going to lose this week because they're playing Kansas.
City. So, uh,
Buffalo. Yeah,
14 point underdogs. Yeah, they're playing
Buffalo this week and then they play KC in week 18.
I mean, they're going to get absente.
Yeah, excuse me. Yeah, they're playing both
Buffalo this week. I, I clicked on a week.
I clicked on week 17.
Um, yeah, oh, I was on the week 18.
I'm all, I'm all flustered guys.
I'm all.
I mean,
real quick on Echler. I mean,
I don't think Isaiah Spiller's any good.
Like, I don't want to be super negative.
But, um, I think there's a chance they give him just like,
we got to see if there's anything here.
I think they were doing that anyway early in that.
He was working in a little bit more than, you know, we've seen.
So, you know, they don't have anything.
Josh Kelly got the five carries.
He fumbled again.
I mean, if anything, they'll go back to Spiller.
And then, you know, with Keenan, I mean, he's already had, like, basically a pro-ball type season.
I mean, he's got 108 and 1,200 yards already.
Like, they could really shut him down.
Do you play Keenan if he's healthy?
If he plays in week 16.
If he plays, yeah, I think you have to.
I mean, the,
floor could be so low. Yeah, I wrote
him up like he's essentially like a wide receiver
three now with the quarterback
situation. A quarterback situation like
Thomas is not going to get the volume. He's had
multiple injuries the last couple weeks.
They currently have
the eighth pick. Their schedule is
Buffalo, Denver
Chiefs. Now
the Chiefs, who knows maybe they
clench the division by the time that rolls around
in week 18. They might be tanking, man.
They should just tank these last three games.
Yeah. And honestly, if the Chiefs do rest, they're
guys, they still might win that game in week 18.
So it's one of those situations.
Let's move on to the first Saturday game.
The Vikings and the Bengals, Jake Browning does it again.
I mean, like this guy, he's got some juice to him.
And, you know, Nick Mullins, either one of these guys, Tom, we talked about on the WaverWire podcast last week.
Like, you're going to have to start some scrub quarterbacks.
And, you know, Nick Mullins, hey, look, I'm in a Superflex league where I lost Justin Herbert.
and Nick Mullins basically tripled up
Dak Prescott in that league for me.
So good on you, Nick Mullins.
I mean, Kevin, Kevin O'Connell and Zach Taylor,
I'll give him credit.
They're not changing their offenses.
They're still going out there and throwing the ball.
And that's why these guys have been two of the best pickups off the waiver wire.
So nothing has really changed too much.
It's not nearly as pass heavy as it was with Kirk Cousins.
But they're also not like turtling.
They're not like just, you know,
just running the ball every place.
So yeah, I think this offense still has some juice.
Jordan Addison, maybe he's a slight up here with Justin Jefferson back on the field.
He'd really fallen off the last six to eight weeks.
And maybe just having Jefferson out in the field is helping him out a little bit.
And the big winner this week is Ty Chandler.
I mean, what are you doing, Vikings?
Do not go back to Alexander Madison.
This, it should be Ty Chandler's backfield.
but we'll see how it plays out.
It seemed like it was a high ankle injury for Madison.
Never really got like solid reporting,
but I think Edwin and other people believe that it was a high ankle.
So Madison could be out regardless.
So it should be another stardom kind of a week for Thai Chandler this week.
Yeah, honestly, Tom, I think Jefferson's return was better for their run game.
I mean, all the stuff they do with motion in terms of how they, you know,
align Jefferson and then just like the late motions to kind of get the defense to adjust.
I mean, Ty Chandler was good, but like, I mean, they, they absolutely shred him.
Obviously, it was a premier matchup.
Yeah, I've got Ty Chandler's up.
And I mean, I don't, there's, there's no chance they go back to Madison, man.
I mean, he's just so mid.
So, so mid.
Mid might be generous as well.
Yeah.
On the other side.
Nice here, Tom.
Yeah.
We have to, we have to watch Jamar Chase on the other side.
He's got a shoulder injury.
Potentially he could play this week.
I know Edwin said, I got T. Higgins in a league.
He hasn't done anything all year.
That touchdown was ridiculous.
The game tying touchdown where he like basically his arm extended out from his body.
His entire body going the other direction as well.
Like no, just incredible awareness.
And that was that what a spectacular play.
Well, he's healthy.
I mean, he just, you know, Steve Smith was talking about it after the game on the NFL network.
He was saying, you know, T's probably gone because of the guys they have to pay.
I mean, if he's healthy now, I mean, he probably just next two weeks, three weeks, you know, they'd be a playoff team too.
I mean, he's he's trying to get that bag.
I think you go right back to Higgins next week as a wide receiver too for all the reasons Joe is saying, you know, Browning, Browning's been solid for sure.
Pittsburgh and Indianapolis. I'm sorry, T. Bro, man. Whatever. For the best. This is a five-win team and they lucked out with a couple victories earlier.
Mitchell Trubisky is like, yes, can you be worse than. Yes, you can. It was not good. Yes, you can be worse than Kenny Pickett. Mitchell Trubisky has been. I saw a stat, by the way. I don't know how this is going to make you feel, Tom.
Probably great.
This is a
somebody from behind
the steel curtain
the SB Nation blog
tweeted this.
Joe Flacco is more
touchdown passes
than Kenny Bigg
here.
It's not great.
And they play again
on set.
This is a Saturday game
this week.
Oh,
you get another,
you get another island
another Steelers Island game.
Saturday game.
I'm really looking for it.
The good news is I was
you know,
traveling,
I made the decision to just drive home a little bit early,
so I didn't have to watch the end of the Steelers game.
There you go.
I missed the middle of the third quarter on the fourth quarter.
I was like, you Tom,
I was running some errands yesterday afternoon with Ash.
And I was like, you know what?
I'm not really feeling this.
The Steelers game, I'll scroll them through Twitter.
And everybody's like, the Steelers offense is abominable.
So I just, I just, yeah, we'll see it.
Pickets back this week.
I mean, that would be some sort of upgrade.
I think they might go to Mason Rudolph
if it doesn't look like
we'll picket will play.
That's just the state of this offense right now.
He had the high ankle injury, right?
That cup had.
He had the surgery as well.
Yeah, man, he's not coming back.
Yeah, I think week 17 is the best case scenario.
So we might be seeing Mason Rudolph
leading this offense.
Well, I mean, Deontay got there.
I mean, Pickens, you're just never playing again.
But at this point, this offense is super simple.
You know, Firemuth had the one huge game
against the Bengals and hasn't done anything.
He gets the bankings.
this week, so maybe he has a chance, but yeah.
But yeah, these backs are even, they're unusable with this quarterback situation right now.
So, yeah, it's, don't play any Steelers.
Yeah.
Our, our, our, our, our, our, our, our, our, our, our, we have a, a group chat that has a bunch of yinzer's in it.
And he said, he was excited on, um, on Saturday morning.
I, I, I, I, I think I, I, I started, I opened the morning.
It must have been like 9.30 Saturday morning.
And I just texted the group.
I said, Saturday Stees.
and he goes, our buddy Andy goes, oh, we're going to a party this week, this weekend.
I don't have to watch them.
And then about three hours later, he's like, well, my daughter has 101 fever.
So I guess I have to watch the Steelers.
And unfortunately for him, that made everybody in the house sick.
And then he got sick watching the game.
That's a worst guest area right there.
On the other side for the Colts, we just, we have to watch Michael Pittman and Zach
Moss and Jonathan Taylor, quite frankly.
What's the situation?
Of course, Zach Moss finally.
gets in the box
after and he gets hurt
on the play
on the play
like unbelievable
legal tackle you know
there was a horse collar
yeah and I think it was
the same arm that he had issues with earlier
I wouldn't expect him to be back so
it does there seems to be some optimism
that Jonathan Taylor will be back
and certainly it's an important
game for them
I think he will be
so he had a three week time table
three weeks ago
and I mean they're right in
thick of it now. I mean, Jags have lost three straight.
Texans are 8 and 6. Colts are 8 and 6.
I mean, if he's ready,
they're going to play him, especially since
Moss, I don't know, man. I mean, this is the same
arm he messed up. You know, it kind of rushed
back to get back this season.
You know, brutal
for fantasy. But, I mean, J.T.
If you got here with him, man, I mean,
you're going to be looking at a really strong
RB1 play next week. So, you know,
at the very least, we're probably going to get JT
back. Yeah, Michael
Pittman, and concussion
protocol. Nasty hit from
Casey. Yeah, that was pretty
brutal one man. They do
I think they play Sunday.
They do play Sunday. They do.
They do. It was still
a rough hit, you know, obviously, like I just
said, Colter, you know, in the playoffs, but he'll be
the concussion protocol and
just waiting on that one.
Yeah, because they have not much else
at receiver. Gosh, down, his fantasy season
is just falling apart. Yeah, he's just kind of
falling apart. So, yeah, they got nothing
They had somebody D Montgomery making plays for them.
DJ Montgomery.
Yeah.
Yeah, so they really need one.
Yeah, he dropped the one, but then he then he scored again.
And that was, that was fun to see.
Although I felt bad for Goodson, who's had a touchdown celebration for his first NFL touchdown.
And then it got called back.
Oh, that's always a little depressing to see.
Let's move on over, guys, to the next game on the schedule, which is Denver and Detroit.
And Denver's just kind of collapsed here.
This is just not a very good football team.
Russell Wilson's just meh.
I don't know what to say about Denver.
I mean, Javonte is one of those players who I did not draft once.
And it's not that I have nothing against Javante, the player.
I drafted him a shitload last year.
And obviously he had the bad injury.
I didn't draft him once this year.
And I have no regrets about that whatsoever.
I mean, honestly, Samache P. Ryan, even though they mixed in McLaughlin,
so they had the three-man rotation, P.Rine really turned in
to the better bestball pick because he had like, you know, the receiving, but whatever, Denver,
Denver's dead. I already, I already mentioned last week, I think Jerry Judy's Nelson Aguilar.
I think, I still have not seen any proof that, that those two guys are any different.
And so Denver, I mean, it's Cortland Sutton or bust for Denver and he's a wide receiver three.
Yeah, it is. And they could get Greg Dulcich back. Remember him?
Remember that? Well, didn't he get hurt in practice?
Yeah, you had the handstring injury that he messed up,
and then they tried to bring him back off IR.
They might get him back this week.
Who cares?
I think he got hurt in practice again this week.
Yeah, he might have.
I'm not banking on it.
Yeah, I don't think that moves the needle anyway.
I'm sure, you know, Sean Paitwin would probably put him in a four-man tight-in
rotation.
We're playing 25 percent of the time.
This team is so slow.
I mean, Mims obviously can run, but they don't throw it to them.
And then, you know, Dulcich is like the only dude who could run up the seam.
I mean, Broncos are.
still in, you know, fighting for the playoffs.
They're in the hunt, but I'm with you, Joe.
I mean, their defense is good.
They just got smoked against a way better offensive line.
They've got two home games, though.
Chargers and Patriots next two weeks.
I love their defense.
I pick them up in a bunch of leagues where I'm, you know, I'm contending and I'm
there's your best Bronco.
I think that really is the best Bronco these next two weeks.
It's them and Sutton.
I mean, Russ, he's been on the streaming radar like barely at the back end of it.
And he's just, they just don't throw it enough.
and he's not playing well enough.
So, yeah, it's Sutton and Prankozdy, I think,
for the next couple weeks, and Javentzay's fine.
But to your point, you know,
they've been doing this three-man rotation all year,
and they're not going to get away from it.
Over to Detroit, I mean, we know what Detroit is at this point, right?
I mean, you play your guys.
That's a lot of Florida.
He's awesome.
Is he going to be the tight end one?
He's got a chance now, doesn't he?
I mean, Kelsey had the down performance.
Kelsey's been down all year.
Well, I know.
he's been still the tight end one though. He's been up there. Yeah.
I mean, yeah, that's the ironic thing is like he's shaved like six points off his total and he's still.
And he's still the tight on one. But yeah, by half year, it's Kelsey at 12.7 and then Hawkinson and LaPorter are now tied at 11.8. So there we go. That's the, the race to the end of the year here. See if the rookie can, can get the grab the title from maybe maybe a little passing of the torch to Sam LaPorter here. Yeah, I mean, obviously Minnesota, Brian Flores can can wreak havoc on a quarterback. And, you know, Jared.
Godf could potentially run into some trouble next week.
But, I mean, how many guys do you have who could,
who have the five touchdown upside the way Jared Gough does?
You just don't have that.
So, yeah, I will say.
I mean, he, for fantasy, his season had kind of flatlined a little, you know,
and he really struggled in two starts against the bears.
I mean, I put it in starts it.
I was like, anytime he's a home favorite, you know,
you're always considering Gough as a back in QB1.
But, I mean, for fantasy, he would not really deliver to ceiling weeks since like week
So this was a little bit of out of nowhere for him, but man, he was, he was awesome.
There's no doubt about it.
They came into the game.
They were talking about how they wanted to get Amman Raw, St. Brown going a little bit.
They have to.
He's kind of, we're talking about San Laporta, but he's, he kind of, he's the engine for this offense.
All of all of golfs, I'm going to go back through.
I bet a lot of Goff ceiling games have been tied to Amon Ra just going off.
Massively.
It has to be because like, it seems like every single week where, you know, Amon Ra is like not getting open at
will or he just like has a bad game like goth was you know really sure to turn to yeah what do i
even say about atlanta and carolina can we skip it you want to skip it seriously i mean well no no
because i want to i want to talk about already smith you got to do the b's on seven carries for 11 yards
obviously he loses a fumble he shouldn't do that oh he bench him bansom can't play the guy
he fumble nobody fumbles i like carve this on arthur smith's tombstone like how about it
it. Bijon, Bejohn has been a bell cow for three weeks since they're by.
Drake London's coming off a 170-yard game.
So, of course, Tyler Algier leads them in rushing.
Johnny Smith leads them in receiving.
And Cordarrow Patterson gets the touchdown.
The one touchdown, by the way.
That's all they scored.
Desmond Ritter's out here, you know, and that's the thing.
It's like, people are like, oh, Arthur Smith.
Oh, Drake London was open on the touchdown.
down play and Desmond Ritter threw it, you know, great to a defender.
Fine.
Whose decision was it to go with Desmond Ritter this year with their three top 10 draft
picks on this offense?
Martha Smith, that was his decision to do that.
So no, he is not absolved of any blame here.
I'm sick and tired of this freaking guy.
I'm going to pay extra at UPS just to ship a gift overnight just because I want to.
And because Arthur Blank is supporting this by hiring the guy, he's enabling this.
I'm going to go buy a gift at Lowe's and then ship it via UPS.
That's what I'm doing.
I'm so like we are right guys about Arthur Smith.
We're right.
And sometimes the fantasy guys were wrong with, no, we're right about Arthur Smith.
The guy's a clown.
He thinks he's clever.
I'm tired of them.
Like, and look, I don't even know what else to say because if you have key Falcons, chances are you got kicked in the ass this week in fantasy.
This set up so well for Bejohn.
Like, I know.
I mean, you could not have asked for a better spot.
And then, you know, like Tom says, okay, sure, he fumbles.
But I mean, that is just absolutely ridiculous to think that Tyler Algear is going to help you win this game.
I mean, 14 carries or 45 yards is the Tyler Algear line.
I've really got nothing.
I mean, they don't win the NFC South.
Arthur Smith's going to get fired.
I think I think that's where we're at and you know they lost a very very winnable game bucks are looking good now I mean they brought everybody back in play you know saints obviously took care of business bucks looked great falcons are now in a really rough spot for the south so yeah 31 for 52 rushing yards you know 1.7 yards per carry like that's just unacceptable this is the panthers team that we've been picking on all year with running game you know they've been salt you know excellent against the past all season just torched on the ground the conditions were part.
You know, you got to run the rock and, you know, the windy, rainy conditions.
And just to just to put up that 31 for 52 against this, you know, Panthers run defense.
Just poor coaching.
It's as simple as that.
I mean, you know, they had some offensive line injuries.
I will say that.
But, I mean, come on.
I mean, this is, I was about as bad as it gets.
I mean, their offense was completely.
And then they collapsed on the other side of the ball.
At the end of the game, they allow just to how long.
long was that drive? I think it was 11 minutes. Yeah. It was a game walk. Yeah, it was a really long drive. And,
uh, yes, seven third. Oh, that was Carolinas. Uh, I can't see it, but that was a really long
drive for the foul, you know, for the Panthers to go down there and win the game. That
offense has not been able to move the ball all season. And for your defense to collapse like that,
that's a pretty pathetic performance all around from the Falcons. Yeah. I mean, I, I, I don't know what
else to say on the Panthers side real quick. I mean,
Chuba is a bell cow.
22 carries again, but I mean, these receivers are dead.
It's over.
He's a bell cow with mad cow disease.
Like, I mean, like, all the empty calories in this, whatever.
Let's go to Chicago and Cleveland.
Joe!
Hey, he's throwing picks, man, and he's missing throws, but he's throwing touchdowns too.
And let me tell you, the both of Flacco's touchdown throws were ridiculous.
The one doing Joe is.
going out to his right and he just, I mean, the arms ridiculous.
The catch was ridiculous.
The throw was ridiculous.
And then the one to Cooper on the sail route.
I mean, he put that thing in the Bermuda triangle.
I know.
That was unbelievable.
Tight, tight, tight, tight, tight, tight window there.
I mean.
And that's a Marquis good one as well in the first half where he's kind of rolling out
to the right.
And he throws it all the way across the field.
It's like a 55 yard throw.
And he just throws it right on the numbers.
It's why he has not lost a single bit of.
arm strength. And he doesn't care. He threw the three picks. He's still throwing in tight windows. I love it. Yeah, like, you know, after the touchdown throw to Cooper, I said this to Paul Kelly on series. I said, it looks like he's just having time of his life. Like, he's not, he's quarterbacking a playoff team right now. He's like, I was sitting on the couch four weeks ago, you know, and now, uh, you know, I'm throwing picks. Who cares? Lippin in there again.
I'll give it to Svatsky, like they're, they're riding with them. They're 44 or more.
attempts in all three of his starts. They're letting Joe throw the ball. This is a pass heavy off.
And that's not like something we would have said about a Stefansky offense in the first couple of
years that he's been head coach. So good on him to recognize the strength of this offense right now.
Well, obviously, and with the offensive line problems, remember, they're down to their backup
left tackle and their third string right tackle because they lost DeWan Jones last week.
And they could not run the ball. They could not generate any, any run. And so Jerome Ford,
unfortunately, he caught four passes.
So at least there's that element in his game.
Over 14 and a half receiving guards and catches four passes.
Oh, that's rough.
Kicking the balls there.
On the flip side, Chicago, this was yet, you know,
that drop early in the game just.
Oh, by ton of months for fields.
Oh, my God.
What a beautiful ball.
What a great design, too.
I mean, he was wide ass open.
And that, I mean, Fields put it, that's a dime.
I mean, that was a literal.
Maybe it was like a hair long, but come on.
I just, it just feels like every time you're like, Justin Fields, whoa, maybe the bear should,
you know, not craft one.
And then there, I mean, the one pick was that was an interception, you know, on the Hail Mary,
who cares?
Darnel Mooney probably should have caught.
You know, I, yeah, I mean, that honestly could have been one of the greatest Hail Marys
of all time.
That ball was in his, in his lap.
Catching it on the ground there like that.
Yeah, like, I mean.
Obviously.
but yeah watching it over yes he should have caught the ball but like in real time you're falling backwards onto your keister you know it's not the easiest catch it it probably caught him by surprise he'd be the first to tell you should have caught it um dante foreman six carries for minus six yards well they tried it and then they were like yeah no thank you we they went to herbert that didn't work roshan they've you know got one that worked out of them but i mean how are you trusting rshawn johnson in week 16 you can like how
How can you possibly?
Well, here's the thing.
They're playing at the Cardinals.
Yeah.
So,
so Deontay Form is probably going to go for 100 next week.
Yeah,
102 touchdowns.
But yeah,
God bless you.
If you're bold enough to put them in your lineup,
after he gave you negative points this week,
unbelievable.
Tampa Bay and Green Bay.
This Green Bay,
maybe Green Bay should have been the defense that hired Matt Patricia.
Boy.
Like, guys,
the touchdown that,
that David Moore scored, the 52-yarder in the fourth quarter.
That was one of the most pathetic displays of tackling you will ever see.
And Green Bay, Baker's out there.
He throws for 381.
Baker-Farv out there.
I mean, perfect passer rating.
I think it was the, I saw a tweet, and I'm sorry, I can't credit the right person,
but it's the first time that, you know, some quarterback has gone into Lambo.
Nope.
And posted a perfect passer rating.
I mean, this was, it won't get talked about.
because it was kind of stuck in the, you know, 11 o'clock, 1 p.m. Slate, 11 o'clock Mountain.
Yes.
This was one of the worst defensive performances of the year, like on par with what the Chargers put out on Thursday night.
I have no, I mean, okay, you know, J.R. Alexander's hurt again, you know, whatever.
But like, that was about.
Your Alexander's always hurt.
Yeah.
So, like, I don't know how much been excused that is right now.
I mean, Jesus.
Rashad, what?
Came in with a knee injury.
Yes.
Nothing all year.
Unbelievable.
And he goes 10.
for 155.
By the way, I saw, I think that might have been...
That's all you need to know about this defense yesterday.
Godwin, who's been, you know, just vanished all season goes for 10 for 155 with a knee injury
coming into the game.
Like, I saw Aaron, I think it was Aaron Nagler, who obviously, which he's head TV,
he covers Packers.
I think he mentioned, he went back and watched the performance of God bless him.
And he said that Godwin, they just kept getting him on a linebacker and Joe Barretter.
and Joe Barry, the defensive coordinator, literally never adjusted.
As somebody who's, as somebody who's dumbass team literally just demoted its defensive coordinator
because of that exact problem, it's like it's triggering to watch.
Like, how does that happen?
I just don't understand it.
Like, I'm not a defensive guru, but like Chris Godwin, yeah, he's had a bad year.
But like, he's one of the most productive slot receivers of the decade.
like and the linebackers covering them I don't get it I don't get yeah and you know sorry to anybody out
there I mean I've been putting Godwin on the sit list for weeks oh for sure I mean I don't think
anybody would have argued with my goodness 10 for 155 uh Evans gets there again he's just just an absolute
sad same with Rashad why I want to talk real quick about the Packers because they're opening
drive I think Aaron Jones had eight carries and they had five the rest of the game Jordan
love man you know we noted this is a really good bounce back spot you know but
struggling defensively. They were missing some dudes again. You didn't have Christian Watson,
but I mean, 284 and 2 for love. I mean, you know, he did his game last week, but he is absolutely
on the QB1 radar these next couple of weeks here, even with the backups. That touchdown
we got to watch Jaden Reed. He left early with the toe injury to go to their wide receiver
issues with Christian Watson as well. But that that touchdown pass where he fitted into that tight
window where he's on the move. That was
something else. I've been, that's been the most
impressive thing for me all season is Love's ability
down in the short areas,
in the in the tight red zone areas, some of those
throws that he makes. It shows you, he has the ability.
Just a little sporadic still, but yeah, I mean, he's doing it
with nothing at receiver right now. Is this, you know, without
Christian Watson on the field, I mean, he's making Don Tavian
Wix look like a star like, yeah, he's Jordan Love
has, he's, he's,
he's won me over.
And it hasn't been a linear path.
Oh, no, it's been very up and down.
He's taken, I think her traditional, like,
rookie quarterback kind of path.
I mean, there's games where he looks great
and there's moments of brilliance.
And then there's games where, I mean, middle of the season.
I mean, he was getting there for fantasy
because he was running a little bit,
kind of masked it.
But, I mean, he was not good.
The last, really, last five weeks,
it's been building, you know,
really struggled against the Giants.
But I don't know.
Nobody wants to hear this name right now, but Christian Watson didn't practice all week.
No.
He's had these hamstring injuries for a long time.
I don't know if he plays next week either.
And we don't know how the Packers medical staff is.
They don't rush anybody.
I know it's down, you know, this is a must-win game for them.
Yeah.
Carolina this week, but I don't know.
One more loss.
And Christian Watson this week.
Yeah, one more loss.
And the Packers are pretty much out of the NFC wildcard hunt.
So we'll see.
But I'm going to highly doubt that Christian Watson play.
this week.
Yes.
By the way,
Rashad White,
four consecutive games with 100 yards from scrimmage.
Yeah,
that offensive line is,
you know,
quietly really improved as the season has gone along as well.
So,
shout out to the guru,
man.
That was his guy and he is,
I mean,
that was absolute sketch pick.
Absolutely.
We'll continue to make fun of them for Skymore,
but it's always,
hey,
but one home run with three strikeouts is always,
is a productive thing.
Especially that range of the draft.
That's the way to play fantasy,
man.
You have,
you go one for three with, you know, a couple of, maybe, you know,
bad strikeout, you swing at a high pitch, you know, you break your ankles on a, on a
curveball, but you hit a home freaking run with her shot white.
The Skymore, the Skymore strikeout is just a so spectacular one because the guy
looks like he's never played football before.
Like he's somebody who has just no confidence right now.
Anyway, let's go to the Dolphins and the Jets.
It sounds like the entire chief's receiving court.
Oh, yeah.
Soz her she rice, man.
Offins and Jets, guys.
Move on.
I mean, Jalen Waddle does his best Tyreek impression.
So long to Tyreek's MVP chances.
Jalen, like, Tua was excellent.
21 to 24 in that game.
Moster gets the two touchdowns.
He's got 20 on the year.
I benched Devon A-chan for D'Andre Swift.
I don't know.
I don't know how that's going to work.
I actually think tonight's a D'Andre Swift game.
that's my gut feeling.
You're going to be right.
You're going to look right on that after this last game.
But A, Chan, look, you made it through the game.
They were giving them carries in the fourth quarter.
I wasn't too sure about that.
But I mean, I don't know what else is saying about it.
They'd love working him in late in the games, even if it is a blowout.
So, yeah, this is kind of the same old.
We really, I know Scott was saying that was John's projection on Waddle was really kind of swung it for our DFS players.
that we really projected him high once Tyreek was ruled out at 1130.
So yeah, yeah, I forget where I heard it.
Maybe it was Florio on NBC or somebody was saying that Tyreek wasn't particularly close to playing this week.
So that is something like-
Mike McDaniel said he was close.
Yeah, McDaniel said he was close.
He didn't practice all week.
And then there was, you know, Tom, you know are talking about it.
There was a beat reporter.
They were saying he was dancing on the field and like looking good.
So that's obviously the biggest.
watch of all watches right now because yeah yeah obviously yeah we got them on the watch um you know
they got dallas they have dallas this week so that you know if he's close you know you'd think
that he would and it is a massive game for miami because the ravens took care of business last night
they're now 11 and three but they're underdogs to san francisco and yeah yeah you know if bultzmore
loses you know that game on monday night you know miami takes care of business against dallas at home you know
they're they're right back in the hunt you're right there and also
by the way, Buffalo
went going away.
So you've got to hold off the bills.
Yeah.
Because they have a match up with the bills here
at the end of the year. Don't they play like week
18 or week 17? I'm pretty
sure that the Bulls and the dolphins are week 18.
Yeah, it's week 18.
So that could end up being, I mean,
Miami drops one, that could end up
being like the Sunday night game.
Based on what I saw from Dallas,
I don't think Miami's losing to Dallas, but
we'll see about that.
The Jets are dead.
We'll see what happens there.
I mean, the quarterback roulette.
Aaron Rogers medically cleared.
Oh, boy.
I've been telling you, by the way.
Yes, he's getting fired because they can't salvage this.
He kept them afloat and then look, like, you saw Josh Dobbs had a few really good games.
Joe Flacco, who was on the team last year, is going to quarterback the Browns into the playoffs.
Like, yeah, Sal was getting fired.
I don't know.
I think that's Aaron Rogers' call.
We'll see what he's doing.
Yeah, there you go.
No, he really is.
He's calling all the shots.
So that's his team next year.
We'll see what he wants to do.
I'm sure he might want continuity.
And I'm sure he still wants his boy, Nate Hackett still.
Oh, Tom, you read my mind.
They'll just fire Salah and make Hackett headcount.
Yeah, they'll promote him to the headcount.
That's the move.
Oh, my God.
Kansas City and New England.
Kansas City, you know, my home.
It's still like pulling teeth for Kansas City.
And you grade Kansas City on a curve,
but they figured out that Rishie Rice is their best receiver,
which we've all known.
Yes.
Clyde Edwards-Layer ran 48 yards at once, guys.
Wow.
All at once, get him some oxygen.
And then he must have to the better.
Like 10 seconds to run at the 48 yards.
Oh, my God, he looks so slow.
Oh, man.
We'll have to watch Pacheco.
He can be back.
The run game hasn't been very good.
But Jared McKinman.
Yeah, we'll see that Pacheco news.
That was kind of, you know, clean up surgery.
Yeah, clean up surgery on a shoulder.
They were kind of downplaying.
I'm like, that's a little different than even like a knee clean up.
So, you know, you don't hear too many shoulder cleanup.
So I'm a little skeptical that he'll be back this week.
Yeah, I texted Edwin about it.
I was like, how effed is Pacheco's shoulder?
And he said semi-ev.
So, you know, he's, he had the off-season surgery.
He's not having an in-season surgery.
Brutal run out, man.
Because, I mean, he's just been running hot.
But, you know, they've gone more pass heavy.
I guess if we want anything, you know,
it's just going to make Rishi Rice even better.
You know, maybe next week, the Jekko can't go again.
He is incredible.
Rish Rice is awesome.
Ball in his hands.
Did you guys see the touchdown?
That touchdown design was like 1950s and.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
That was an awesome design.
He has Rish Rice lined up basically at F tied in.
He wheels them around in for basically like a, I don't know,
it was like a trap play.
but God, man, Rishis is the truth.
Joe, you were mentioning Kelsey.
I mean, you're obviously never going to bench Kelsey.
Five for 28.
It comes off of three straight games.
I mean, he kind of looked like Kelsey.
Obviously, you know, Belichick probably schemed him out.
We'll see what the data says.
And we'll, I'm going to ask Brett, see what he thought about the game.
But, you know, Kelsey has just been disappointing this year.
And I think, if anything, it's not like he's been like an anchor to your team,
but just given the pieces that you could have had when you,
drafted.
Exactly.
That's...
It could have had Echler as well.
So that could be worse.
Yeah.
Could have C.D. Lamb, though.
It could add A.G.
Brown.
You could have a lot of those receivers in that pocket.
So, I mean, it just, it looks like we're the first signs of ages are starting to
hit here in the last.
And he, man, he should have had a touchdown.
You know, he had a ball where Mahomes kind of put him in a tough spot.
It was kind of high in a way.
But the ball hit him in the hands.
It's a touchdown.
We've seen Kelsey score a billion times.
And he took a big shot.
And then he flopped on a truck.
trying to get a flag.
Yeah, that was,
that was tough to watch, man.
Taylor and the Haim sisters are in the,
or in the box yelling at it.
I knew it was. I didn't know that.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
That was, it was, well, definitely one of the
hyam sisters who were yelling for a flag
up there. Anyway,
for Patriots, whatever,
Zee. Whatever.
How predictable was that? I mean,
look, he got 16 touches,
and then Kevin Harris,
vultures.
Yeah, I literally completely
forgot. Yeah, I know. He didn't, I don't even think he made an appearance last week. So, yeah, of course, he comes in and gets the touchdown. But yeah, we'll see about Robondrey. It doesn't seem like he's particularly close to playing. And yeah, I think we're going to rush them back either. So probably another week of Zeke. And he's the only usable player on their offense right now. Um, uh, what about Hunter Henry? Are you guys falling for that? Because he did, uh, he got banged up at the end of the end of the game. Oh, he did pick up an injury. That's right. Yeah, it looked like he got a hit pointer, man. He took a,
shot right in the hip.
Oh, he was getting beat up all the, the entire game.
Yeah.
Our friend Travis was texting us about, you guys watching this Patriots game,
Hunter Henry is getting the shit beat out of him.
And then as soon as I did kind of start to watch it,
I saw Henry take a shot right in the hip and look like he wanted to deny.
Yeah, well, I would want to die playing with Bailey Zappy too.
But I will say, I mean, he is the number two target on this team was Zappy.
19 targets was Zappi under center.
They have Denver as well this week.
I did put him, he's at the top of the waiver.
Yeah, he's a wave.
He's a waiver.
They got that Denver matchup that everybody goes off.
And including Sam Laporte who just scored three touchdowns.
So Henry's a, you know, if you're streaming the tight end position, he's the top pickup, but got to watch his availability this week.
New Orleans and the Giants, three touchdowns were scored in this game.
Keith Kirkwood, Juan Johnson, and Jimmy Graham.
I'm getting excited over here.
Yeah.
By the way, I'm going to lose by nine in a matchup where I had Tyreek Hill and Chris Olave ruled out right before kickoff.
And I plugged in Gabe Davis.
Yeah, I lost one of my best teams with Tyreek and I plugged in Gabe for him too.
That didn't feel good.
I'll say that.
Also, Josh Allen completed like three passes.
So that wasn't going to help.
Whatever with the Saints.
You played Camara.
They play Thursday night.
We'll see if Lave's going to be ready.
It looked like they were trying to get him ready,
but it might have been one of those where we're playing Tommy Cutlets this week.
We can win this game without you.
The more important game is Thursday night against the Rams.
So I probably think he's probably closer to playing than not,
but definitely something to watch this week.
We'll see if he's able to go against the Rams.
And the Giants, the only one that I think we need to talk about here,
just so we can get through the podcast is Darren Waller.
He got six targets.
So I guess if you, you know, if you're struggling at tight end, you can use them.
But I mean, look, come on.
Tommy DeVito is a fun story, but that's about it right now.
Yeah.
They do play the Eagles next week.
But we'll see if Maddie Patty cooks up, uh, cooks up something different, uh, defensively tonight.
So we'll see about that.
I put Waller on the up list, Joe, just because he got through a game.
And these next two games, these next two games do look pretty solid for the Giants.
They get the Eagles.
I think he's got a pretty good matchup.
Yeah, against the Rams, uh, week 17.
So two good back-to-back good matchups for Waller.
Houston and Tennessee.
Houston wins this game 19 to 16.
Derek Henry.
Oh, boy.
10 yards from scrimmage on 20 touches.
I mean,
uh,
Tom and I had his over 16 and a half carries, too.
How bro.
And he was like 16th in overtime and they didn't give it to him again.
No,
they were moving in ball down.
He couldn't do anything.
So just,
let me throw this out there.
carmic retribution.
Not only do the Titans wear the stolen valor
oil or uniforms.
Thank you, Joe.
Thank you.
They warm against the Texans.
They deserve a lot.
Unbreak unbelievable.
I'm glad the Texans won,
kept their playoff hopes alive.
They should,
that the NFL should have nixed that.
They're spitting in the faces of the Texans there.
That was,
that was embarrassing.
Oh, there you go.
I'm glad Tom,
you're going.
No, I was, I was thinking about that yesterday.
I'm like, I can't believe they're wearing these throwbacks against Houston.
That's, that's something else.
So, and there you go.
That's why Henry had 10 scrimaturts on 22.
Oh, yeah, and they, they rolled him out there with Eddie George and Earl Campbell before the game.
Okay.
And, like, I don't know, that does sound like a slap to the Houston text.
Yeah, so.
Given the history and I will say, though, those uniforms are so hot.
They are.
Even, yeah, I mean, they're, they really are high.
But they're stolen valor.
Yes, they are.
Speaking of, speaking of brutal games and slaps in the faces,
DeAndre Hopkins, two for 21, nine targets.
And he lost a 42-yard, yeah.
Yeah, brutal, man.
Basically, you know, just absolutely brutal game for the Titans,
and they lose Will Levis.
He has an ankle injury.
You know, variable was saying after the game,
they don't know.
They're going to evaluate.
but we might get Tannale here.
Yeah, but no reason to push the guy if he's hurt.
But, yeah.
Houston realized Devin Singletary is their best back, by the way.
In a competitive game, he gets 26 carries to Damien Pierce's one.
So obviously they've realized.
Maddening.
I mean, we'll probably go back to next week where Damian Pierce is getting, you know,
most of the carry.
I, I, because he's been playing more in the passing situations and the hurry up situations.
And then this week, they decide that we're going to give him all the carries.
So we'll see if it's sticky, but it should be.
I mean, he clearly has more.
Jeez, than Damie Pierce.
Huge reception at the end of the game as well to get them into, you know,
get them into overtime.
So, yeah, he should be the guy.
But this, we'll see about Stroud.
That's the big news here, Nico Collins as well.
Noah Brown is back to being usable, by the way.
Yeah, I was, I think Scott asked Brad or maybe one of the charters.
He was like, hey, what's up with Noah Brown?
And he's like, oh, man, he just doesn't look healthy.
Well, he's healthy now, eight for 82 and one.
We'll see, you know, obviously Nico Collins might be back.
He aggravated that calf injury he had earlier in the year.
So maybe not.
But, you know, No Brown, if CJ Stroud plays next week,
no Brown's like a legit, like great wide receiver two play.
Yeah, he's top of the waiver wire this week.
I mean, San Francisco and Arizona, for a game that had 74 points,
it's a very easy, we can move very quickly through this.
First and foremost, San Francisco, you play your guys.
I mean, like, there's nothing else for me.
If you guys want the MVP debate, I'm sure it's being had on every NFL podcast.
We don't need to do it on this one.
Like, you just play your San Francisco 49ers.
Somebody got in my mentions yesterday.
He's like, oh, I have Jalen Hertz.
Jalen Hertz.
Should I pick up Marioada and wait or start Brock Purdy?
And I'm like, dude, what?
Just start purdy.
Like, you are in a better position than 99% of people who have Jalen Hertz right now.
Just start purdy.
And that obviously was the right call.
but for the Cardinals, James Connor got it done.
Kyler, I'm,
he got hit in the testicles pretty hard.
Oh, he got,
yeah.
Man, he was, he was hurting.
I mean, I started him over Minshu and for,
I mean, it was still the wrong call for 99% of this game.
I was kicking myself because it looked like Kyler was going to have single digits.
And fortunately, they kept him in the game and then put up some,
put up some garbage time touchdowns here.
He ran for 49 yards, got hit in the nads.
And for Arizona, I think, Kyler, you have a debate on whether you start him every week.
You start James Connor.
You start Trey McBride.
Oh, my God.
Joe, you would not believe how many Trey McBride questions.
Oh, my God.
I was losing my fucking mind on that show.
We get so many questions about Trey McBride in our final point show.
I'm just like every time I see his name.
I'm like McBride.
I start him over Kelsey right now.
Absolutely.
He's the best.
He's the top tight end right now.
we're talking about Sam Leporta maybe being earlier.
If McBride had Zach Ertz's role at the beginning of the season,
Trey McBride's a tight end won this year.
He would have dusted everybody.
Yeah,
this role is insane.
This role is bananas.
You do know he set the franchise record for tight end receptions in a season.
And I was like,
it feels like he's only been playing.
I guess Ernst's hurt last year.
But yeah,
I mean,
oh my Joe,
he's got 66 balls already.
Holy shit.
He basically was a DNP for the first like four weeks of the season.
Basically, yeah.
I don't know how it took them that how it took them that long to get him going.
Like how?
Well,
how did they not realize this is what they had?
I don't get it.
Anyway.
And he was coming off the knee and they were probably trying to, you know,
maybe trade one point I want to make here before we move to the next game.
Just get Marquis Brown off your roster.
Don't even, don't even get tempted.
Just cut them.
Cut them.
Pick up a second defense or something.
Don't even deal with the aggravation.
Yeah.
Yeah, he's, that was a terrible trade by Steve Kime.
Yet another trade that, for a reason that he, one of the reasons he got fired.
The Rams and the Durs.
Look, the Rams, another kind of simple team.
Cup is taken over Nakua right now, but I feel like you kind of just have to play both of those guys every week.
You play, Kyron lost two fumbles and it still didn't matter because he had 32 touches in this game.
And Sean McVeigh doesn't bench him.
He knows he's this best player.
He just keeps going back to him.
Weird.
Weird.
You don't want to go to Royce Freeman?
Now, Arthur Smith.
Arthur Smith would be,
if Arthur Smith of coaching this team,
Royce Freeman would have let him in carries and Davis Allen would have let him in targets.
And they would have lost.
And they would have lost the commander.
Yeah.
I got to say, man,
Cup is all the way back.
That dude is not,
not even close to it.
He's lifting the tide of,
for Matthew Stafford as well.
Stafford was a guy that we were waiting.
for like that touchdown regression to hit and it is hitting big time here the last couple that being
said the 62 yard touchdown was a complete blown coverage you or i could have scored on that
i don't know if i could have scored i mean Clyde edward's player maybe oh my god and now i think
ceh might be my worst call of all time holy hell um man stafford though tom your point last four games
um just there was a i saw a little high you know he did like a no look over to the last
left and then slung it right over the middle, 20 yards down the field.
It was just a thing of beauty.
I love Stafford.
He is, he is, um, a literal magician.
I think if, if like, the NFL covered him like they cover him a homes.
Like he would, he would be getting blown every single week, man.
Yeah.
I can't wait to see the Ramble for too long.
He's, you know, out of the, the conscious of the NFL for too long.
But he's, I, I'm glad for, you know, I'm happy for him that he's back,
healthy again. Last year was such a disaster for the Rams to get to see him. I hope they make the
playoff. You know, I want to see a good, a team like that back in the playoffs.
Well, they got the Saints this coming week, man. I mean, it's a very, very winnable game for them.
And they got the Giants and then they'll have a big one against the Niners. So they're right.
They're right in the thick of it. The commanders, I mean, they might go to Brissette. We'll see.
No, no. Rivera said after the game, they're sticking with how.
We'll see if he said.
Yeah, that's true.
They might through the week.
But yeah, I mean, Percett, obviously unlocked.
Terry McClard's first 100-yard game of the season, by the way.
Yeah, basically all from that last five minutes of that game too.
As somebody that had the Rams minus six and a half, I was really, really upset that they brought in Jacoby percent in that game.
I was sweating my balls off.
And then Rivera trots out the kicking team after scoring the touchdown to make it an eight-point game.
I was so thankful for that.
And then they missed the extra point anyway.
but that was quite the ending there,
but we'll see here.
Howells really lost some steam.
We were talking about that.
He was just getting home for fantasy the last couple of weeks
before the buy because of rushing touchdowns.
Those rushing touchdowns were wiped out this week
and not a pretty hollow production here this week
without those rushing touchdowns.
So he's fading fast here.
Yeah, I put Howell on the down list.
Obviously, we're watching Brian Robinson in this backfield too.
Chris Rodriguez,
carries, and Tonyo Gibson only got four, but I mean, they got they got hammered in this game.
They got down 20 to nothing really fast in the third quarter there.
So, I mean, they just could not run the ball in the second half at all.
I will say, I mean, you know, McLaren has a good game.
So does Curtis Samuel again.
And I've kind of been on this.
When Samuel's healthy, he's a really strong wide receiver three in fantasy.
So, you know, if you've been stashing him as kind of like a flex guy, you know, you can keep rolling him out too.
Yeah, they got the Jets this week.
So probably might have to be another Curtis Samuel game in the slot there.
So, you know, keep.
broling with him as your flex or whatever i mean he's been pretty serviceable yep let's move to
dallas and buffalo this was an ass kicking and i am sorry if you had any cowboys um you might
have gotten knocked out of your out of your playoffs and or bills if you didn't have james cook
oh yeah well no kidding like grow yeah they didn't have to throw like gave yeah i know gave davis
got goose egged again but like they didn't they didn't throw like dalton king kate got goose egged
You know, like Josh out in the waiver wire at 4 o'clock.
So I'm like watching, but I'm not like keeping an eye on stats.
And when I got to this boxer, I'm like, I could not believe they attempted just 15.
It felt like they were running every play.
But sometimes it's, you know, you're just getting flipped onto the red zone.
And I could not believe they attempted only 15 passes in this game.
This is the game that we had wanted the bills to have for like four years, where they finally like get some semblance of a run game going.
Get Josh Allen involved in that run game.
James Cook is the truth, man.
He's unbelievable.
And, you know, they were blowing the cowboys off the ball.
Really impressive stuff.
Dionne Dawkins had an awesome game.
266 against this team on the ground is insanely impressive.
I got to be honest, though, man, Graham, let me, let me, let me, let me, let me be real here.
And you might say Eagle fan hater.
You can move the ball in Dallas.
Every good team has moved the ball in Dallas.
Yeah, yeah.
And I was saying that on the Sunday show.
I was like, if you look at the matchups, like the Cowboys have destroyed really bad defense or really bad offenses and they've been kind of mid.
I don't want to take anything away from this D-line because they're so good.
Oh, yeah.
And when they can pin their ears back, they're going to get after you.
Like, and the Eagles fumbled three times in Cowboys territory last week.
They were moving the football.
Like, it's this, this is not a defense that scares me away from playing my guys.
Unfortunately, they just didn't have to throw the ball.
Like, it was a great game plan by Joe Brady.
like, hey, we're going to come out, we're going to run the ball.
Oh, it's working.
Guess what we're going to do?
We're going to keep running the football.
It doesn't matter that we have Josh Allen.
And ever since Brady took over, just it's all kind of lining up for him here.
They're really feeding him the ball every week.
So that's an R.B.1.
James Cook's an R.B.1.
I mean, we're there.
Even with, you know, how much they're working in, Ty Johnson and Latavis Murray.
He's still losing some of those goal line, you know, touches to Latavis Murray.
But he's still getting home.
Yeah, it doesn't.
not matter when, if you're 45% of the snaps, who cares when you're getting the ball like 30 times.
They get the chargers this coming week too. And obviously they just fired Staley, but that was one of the worst run defensive formances I've seen. They'll turn it around. But like, Cook is sitting so well to win some leagues next week again.
For the Cowboys, I mean, like, what were you going to do? Bench Stack Prescott? Like, you just had a shitty game, you know?
The problem for them.
Detroit at home in the in week 17
in the next week.
They got Miami on the road,
which, you know, Dallas, the problem
for Dallas is when this team
goes on the road, they
they're just a completely
different team. Which is weird because they were
like a terrible home team just like
a few years ago.
And it's kind of completely flipped.
They just dominate, you know, everybody
at home now and struggle. They're going to get
push obviously big time in this game.
you know, so great balance.
That's what we thought last week against the bills, too.
That's why we were kind of like, man,
the Cowboys,
all the Cowboys players are going to win all the fantasy leagues
because they got this gauntlet of games
where their defense could be exposed a little bit,
higher scoring games,
and they did not do their part this one.
Oh, that game is 430?
This was a really bad game by Dak.
I mean, we can call a spade of spade here.
I mean, this was by far his worst game of the season.
You know, they just, he really struggled.
And, you know, it was a good spot, too.
I mean, they didn't have, you know, a couple more starters in this game.
Yeah, Michael Hyde was hurt.
It was just a bad game.
Bad game by Dallas, yeah, just at the worst possible time.
Yeah, and, well, there, there's an, we're not going to do the MVP discussion on this,
but that was one going up in flames spectacularly on national television.
And by the way, they're going to have to win a road playoff game because they're probably not going to win the division.
So, like, that's going to be a really interesting.
Well, Eagles have to take care of business.
They'll be playing the...
Well, that's the thing.
They'll probably be playing Tampa.
Yeah, which is definitely going to be a benefit to them.
All right, let's go to Monday night.
Or excuse me, Sunday night, Ravens and Jaguars.
Trevor Lawrence is in concussion protocol.
They should have checked him after he threw that ball at the end of the first half to Parker, Washington.
That's when they should have first checked.
Or that fumble.
That was a brain dead play.
I'm in pain, man.
Zay Jones left early as well.
So that receiving core is just getting really thinned out.
Zay Jones is a Waverwire guy.
But yeah, it's,
even if he does play,
his cast is getting thinned out here a little bit.
Yeah, he's got a hamstring injury.
I'm not sure if it's the same leg that he hurt his knee.
I have to look into that.
But Lawrence is, I mean, he hurt his ankle and he,
the accuracy has just been bad.
I mean, there's no other way to say it.
He was really bad against the Browns.
You know, the connection with Evan Ingram was there.
But once again, you know,
He funnels 20 targets to Ridley and Zay Jones only gets 10 completions out of it.
And I get it's a bad matchup, but he does not look close to healthy.
Accuracy has been really bad.
Then you mentioned just some really bad boneheaded decisions by him.
So, you know, Jaggs were at one point.
I mean, it was crazy against the Bengals three weeks ago.
You know, we're going to that game, possibly the one seed, lose three straight.
Now it's, you know, it's high at the top of the ASD South here.
Tough living, man.
As a team that has lost three.
straight as well. But your team is much better than my team, but they can't even run the ball anymore
either. This offensive line is disintegrating. We're fake contenders. Our offensive line has been bad all year.
We lost Cam Robinson, who's our best, our best player too. I mean, you mentioned we can't run the
ball. So, I mean, unless we go on a little run here, I mean, there's, I'm not, I'm not excited about
the Jags playoff chances. I mean, they got to win out here. I mean, Texans and Colts are eight and six.
Three-way tie at the top. Yeah, it's falling apart here.
that is so wild man uh well this this nfc south uh actually a fun division because of the way these teams
are playing baltimore um obviously keaton mitchell what a bummer i mean yeah that was not good they're
already saying likely off of the season i don't think we've did we actually get official word yet this
morning yeah he's not yeah he's not gonna be back this year yeah it's it's a knee and it looks
like he the hyper extension it was so weird he just got like tripped up and it seemed like all
of his body weight landed on that one leg.
Just absolutely feel for him, man.
And here's what needs to be written up for the waiver wire, Tom.
I'm sure you got to it.
But they're going to, Justice Hill is going to play a lot now.
Yeah, that's on John.
John writes the Sunday night game.
So I might have to drop a little note.
Hey, make sure you write up.
Just Justice Hill looked a lot better than Gus Edwards even on, you know,
just a limited work.
I mean, Gus Edwards.
It's been kind of painful.
But his number overall numbers look all right.
He's still going to get those goal on carries.
But we're kind of back to the same setup we had.
earlier in the season before Mitchell really got involved.
So yeah, this could be a game coming up 49ers.
Not an easy matchup to run the ball,
but could be more in more passing situations,
more hurry-up situations.
So I would think Justice Hill would be the better play
over Gus Edwards this week.
You want to talk about some receivers that killed you this week
is Beckham and Flowers.
I mean, obviously Jags just didn't do much offensively
and Ravens really didn't have to try in the second half,
but, whoa, boy.
Likely, though, likely is, uh, coming on.
I mean, he's been plug and play.
He's been the Jacob Tammy of a new generation.
Like, he is a tight end handcuff.
He is a tight end handcuff.
That's what he is.
You know, he's got hurting.
Likely he's a tight end one.
Yeah, those concerns that he wasn't producing and the, you know,
the two auditions that he kind of had, you know,
they was kind of, you know, they have been washed away here with his performance.
I mean, it's just some spectacular plays, too.
I mean, uh, he built out Lamar.
That's for sure.
That one throw across the field.
Even the play where he, you know, he was wrapped up and he stretched out for the first down.
You know, the defender had his legs like he's, he's making plays out there.
So he's he's kind of a, he might end up developing into the number one target here.
Zayflowers, he kind of, he kind of disappears at times.
And Odell's playing a limited routes.
Zayflowers is so overrated.
Yes.
He is so overrated.
Yep.
So I think likely he's fine.
He's, he's.
He's.
got hyped up, Joe, is like a really good fantasy asset. And he is so overrated, man.
He's, I've seen him make some plays. I mean, I don't, I didn't draft him anywhere for fantasy.
I'm in a couple of Dynasty League. I don't know. Like, I, I just don't think he's like what he's
been built up to be. I don't think he's a guy that necessarily command. I see him as a good,
like, secondary receipt. He is not a guy that's going to command targets in this offense long term.
He's no. Likely was the only guy who was anywhere decent for fantasy here. All right, guys,
well, this will wrap up our week 16 market report podcast.
So next week on FantasyPoints.com,
I want everybody to remember on Monday,
we're going to have Jake Tribby writing up the Christmas Day slate.
I believe that's the plan.
I'll have to check with Scott about that.
But I believe that's the plan.
Jake's going to have the Christmas Day slate written up.
We're going to have the Waver Wire article and what have you.
Everything Tuesday, Tom.
We'll record the podcast on Tuesday.
I'll be a little later than usual,
but, you know, because of schedule and stuff.
For your waivers run.
And then Graham's going to start monitoring,
starting next week once the picture becomes a little bit clearer.
What are some of these teams' motivations?
What's this team's likelihood to be in this seat?
Like, I just saw a graphic that the lions are like 90% to be the three seed in the NFC.
And that might be one of those teams that like no upward mobility,
no downward mobility.
You just like that those teams just rest their guys in week 18.
So that's what you really need to watch.
Maybe teams that are like, I think we might have seen this last year, like, we were, they were either the five or the six seed. And they're like, it didn't really matter. Like, we'll just, I mean, I guess in the NFC, you definitely want to be the five, which is almost certain to be the NFC East run up at this point. So yeah, it'll be Dallas or Philly in that five seed like, 99.9%. Yeah. So like, it'll be one of those, it'll be one of those where you definitely want to be the five seed if you can be. But anyway, every year, there's always a team that's like, oh, this team is going to be a surprising.
team that, you know, they can be either the six or the seven seed, but they've guaranteed
themselves a playoff spot and they don't play their guys. We're going to keep an eye on that
if you play in week 18. If you don't play in week 18, well, we're covering you for the next
couple of weeks. And if you don't play in week 18 and you want to win some money, well,
Scott Barrett just won $125,000 on his own advice. Trey Camberling won $20,000 on a couple of
weeks ago. And those are just our staff members. We've had subscribers who have been successful as well.
