Fantasy points dynasty rookie mock draft. Post NFL Combine values, guys are shifting around, guys have risen up the rookie rankings.
Starting point is 00:00:48 A couple of guys are falling. Theo Greminger and Brett Whitefield here, joined today by Derek Brown of fantasy pros. We're going to get after it. We're going to attempt to get through three rounds. We're going to talk about some of the guys that have moved up our rankings, some of the guys that are falling down, and we're going to see which way values land. Now, our format is going to be a super flex. PR with a 1.5 point tight end premium.
Starting point is 00:01:14 And I'm going to kick it to Brett Whitefield. Brett Whitefield has the 101. Which way you go in here, Brett? The nice thing about having the 101 is I can't get blocked by one of these dudes on this on this show. So Ashton Genti running back Boise State. I got to keep the pier with the traditional RB1. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:01:33 Easy one, easy one. Any hesitation with that, Brett, or is it quarterback creeping up? No, in real life, I would try to trade back. But, you know, here we are. Ashton Genti, easy pick. There we go. Now, Derek Brown in the house, which way are you going with the 102 here? Dude, this is clear for me. My wide receiver won still. I don't care about the combat. I don't care that he didn't run. This is easy for me. It's Tet McMillan. I'm not even batting an eye here, dude. So we got Ted McMillan off the board, and I'm at the 103 here. And I think, guys, 103 in Superflex is where we start
Starting point is 00:02:09 seeing quarterback come into the conversation. If a quarterback goes at the 101, they potentially might be a viable pick in a lot of leagues. But like you guys, I'm going to stay away from quarterback and I'm going to lean into a skill position player. And I'm going to go with Omari and Hampton, who is my RB2 in this class and quite possibly might leapfrog Ted McMillan in like the skill position rankings for me. Omarian Hampton put on an absolute show at the NFL Combine, runs a 4-4-1-40.
Starting point is 00:02:39 at 221 pounds. This is a player that I will be surprised if he's not a first round pick in the NFL draft at this point. And I think when he enters the dynasty rookie rankings overall, forget rookies, he's an RB1 right out the gate.
Starting point is 00:02:56 So your guy's thoughts on Omarian Hampton, specifically you, D, bro, because Brett and I had a chance to break down Amarian Hampton on two podcasts this week. Highly recommend you go back and listen to our NFL Combine fantasy winners and losers, as well as our rankings update podcast that we dropped recently.
Starting point is 00:03:14 But Debrose, sort of where are you at on Omarion Hampton? I like Amoryon Hampton a lot. I don't love him maybe as much as consensus. Like, I look at him as more of a, I don't think he's a scheme versatile as some people do. I think he's more linear or more of a North-South guy. But like, you're telling me if he goes at the end of round one to like Pittsburgh or the Chargers is somewhere where I think is a better run scheme fit for him, but yeah, I mean, I might bump him another spot over. It might be like Trayvion Henderson.
Starting point is 00:03:42 But right now, Amarian's my RB4 in the class and people think I'm an Amarian hater. And I'm like, dude, like after Gentie, you got a tier of like this tier two guys where it's like, pick your flavor of running back. And so some of that could be just archetype of guys that I like a little bit more.
Starting point is 00:03:58 I mean, you know, RB4 at this point, you are officially an Amarian Hampton hater. Officially a hater. Brett Whitefield, Ted McMillan, goes at the 102. We're seeing some, like, weird pushback in the community on McMillan. Didn't test at the Combine. And I think I've seen a few NFL drafts where people are projecting to go a little bit lower.
Starting point is 00:04:22 I'd say there's a wider variance on NFL mock draft projections than maybe we saw pre-combine where somewhere between, like, pick five and down to, down to, like, pick 19, we're starting to see a range for McMillan. There's a few people who've said that they think he might be the second wide receiver off the board. But sort of from a fantasy football perspective, is anything wavering in your enthusiasm with McMillan and sort of his overall standing in this class, Brett? No, I've actually watched the tape on Ted McMillan, so that helps. Yep. He's a phenomenal prospect. I've made the leap and said, if you made a spectrum between Drake London and Mike Evans, he's somewhere on that spectrum in terms of playstyle, athletic.
Starting point is 00:05:08 racism, route running ability. I think he's a slightly better prospect than Drake London even was, and he went top 10 overall. So I don't see any reason to be discouraged by anything you see with Ted McMillan. Can I add on top of that a little bit, Theo? Of course. I feel like all this anti-Tet talk is just people getting too cute, and whether it's prospect fatigue or people trying to plant their flag on certain players.
Starting point is 00:05:33 But honestly, I think it's just bad process. I love Tet. I agree with everything that Brett said. I look at him as Drake London with better yak skills. Like a guy his size should not be able to move the way that he does. And I'm sorry, if you've got Luther Burden, wide receiver one over Tet, I question what your process is and have you watched the damn film versus like, look, like, and we'll get to him, I like Golden.
Starting point is 00:05:58 I don't give a crap if he ran freaking 4-2. Still, like, Tet is a plug-in-play freaking X wide receiver, wide receiver one alpha from day one, I can't put somebody like Golden, who I'm like, is can he operate as a one in an offense? Is he more of a high end two? Is he a Z? What is he at the NFL level?
Starting point is 00:06:20 So I'm sorry, miss me with all of this anti-Tet talk. I just think it's honestly dumb as hell. Yeah, and I think if we go back one year, I think Ted McMillan versus Roma Dunes Day becomes a real conversation, at least for me, in terms of their level of prospect. It's a super easy sell to fantasy football managers listening to this. Ted McMillan is a big wide receiver with exceptional size, a ton of college production, an early breakout.
Starting point is 00:06:49 And like these guys said, has yak ability with the ability to be viewed as 150 to 160 target guy on any given season. So that's an alpha profile. And like I said, with Hampton kicking off as an instant RB1, for me, McMillan's going to be somewhere in that instant top 15 at the Dynasty wide receiver position despite all the quality we have with a youth at wide receiver right now. We got time to get in a couple more picks before we take a break. So to recap where we're at, Brett Whitefield started us up out with Ashton Genty at the 101. Derek Brown took Ted McMillan at the 102.
Starting point is 00:07:25 I took Omari in Hampton at the 103. Brett, back OTC at the 104. Jackson Dart, quarterback, all this. Thanks. Oh, you suck. I knew you were going to do it. I knew it. I knew it.
Starting point is 00:07:37 Super flex league. Quarterbacks are king. Dart has a massive ceiling. That's what I look for. If I'm going to go QB early in Superflex leagues, I need the ceiling. And he gives me the ceiling. So let's do it.
Starting point is 00:07:50 My QB, by the way. And Brett, before we kick it over to Dibro for his quick thoughts on Jackson Dart, where are you now projecting Dart to be selected? If you had to pick right now on which team drafts Jackson DART within the first 10 picks in the NFL draft. Who ends up with him? Right now, the Raiders are the Jets. Yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:08:12 I was going to say the Raiders. I love it, baby. So we're right there, Jackson DART, right in that 106-107 wheelhouse, if we had the actual NFL draft today or somebody moving around in that top 10, still selecting them. D-Bro, kick it to you for the 105. I know you were looking for DART. Who are you going to take right now with DART? off the board. Man, it's an interesting conversation. I think people are going to be
Starting point is 00:08:37 faced with in this class considering what do you need for your team? Do you need quarterback? Does one of these running backs go in the first round in the NFL draft? Or do they go high second round and where are you at? I'm going to ruffle some feathers here, man. I'm going to flag plan a guy that I love and I don't think that Brett loves nearly as much as me. Maybe hates the guy. I'm going to Trey Harris here, dude. It's the analytical profile. It's also the film. I love Trey Harris. I think that he's a freaking stud.
Starting point is 00:09:08 I won't be surprised. I feel like Brett and I not are on opposite sides. He's a huge fan of Eelich in this class. I'm a huge fan of Trey. I think once we get past that wide receiver two through six in that kind of realm, everybody's ranks kind of bury a lot, but I love Trey Harris, man.
Starting point is 00:09:29 My main criticism for that pick, D bro, is you could have waited, you know, maybe another, another quick couple go rounds to get that pick in. I don't play those games, man. I get my guys. I move to the draft for me. I wasn't taking them at any point.
Starting point is 00:09:43 I know. I know you weren't. I know. But that's why I wanted to spark this conversation because I love the kid, man. Tell me why you're out on Trey Harris. Stiff in the hips, doesn't track the ball well, no linear explosiveness, not a good route runner.
Starting point is 00:09:56 It doesn't have the physical tools to become a good route runner. It was very skewered. I don't know. Do you want me to keep going or? I mean, I think you apparently already pulled out the shovel. I mean, the hole's probably deep enough, man. I'll push back. I think he's a better route runner. I think he can offer something after the catch. I'm not, I don't care that he ran in the four or fives at his size. I do. I care about that because his entire game is, is the linear route tree. And I do feel like not to, not to pile on D, bro, but I do think that was one of the, one of the main arguments for Harris
Starting point is 00:10:34 is he's going to fly in the 40 as well. Like this is going to be a guy who has the size, but also has a 4-4 speed. I've heard that for multiple people. So I don't think that the four, you know, the four-fives don't crush him, but they're certainly not what was promised. Would you agree on that statement? I mean, I think depending on what's promised, I mean, we could have a long conversation about, you know, projected 40 times and place. speed and things like that and, you know, track star versus like, you know, what you do in the games. So, again, I'm not necessarily worried about his speed.
Starting point is 00:11:09 But I understand the conversation. So how about this? Here's a hot. You drop the hot take picking Harris fourth. I got a hot take for you. Oh, go ahead. I think that's teammate, Jalen Watkins, might be a better player. Oh.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Okay. So I'm going to, I'm going to go somewhere in the middle. Brett and I talked about this on our ranking show where I have. have Trey Harris ranked ahead, but he's not, he wouldn't have been a first round pick for me by any means in a in a super flex draft right now. But I'm of the opinion that he's a potential round two pick. But I think Dbro, a couple of those wide receivers that tested well, that had really strong senior bowls, they're right on his heels, if not passed him on a couple of these draft board. So you might end up having Trey Harris as the seventh wide receiver off the board in the NFL
Starting point is 00:11:54 draft. I think that's a possibility. So for me, I'm a little higher on, on Harris. than certainly Brett is. I'm lower than Debrough is. Let us know in the chat, if you're watching this on YouTube, what you think of the Trey Harris pick. I'm going to close out the top six overall. And I think if this player goes at the 101 or the 102, which I think at this point looks like a very distinct possibility,
Starting point is 00:12:20 Cam Ward at the 106 and Superflex still becomes a value. Even if you're not in love with the profile, the insulation that a quarterback selected with the top overall pick has, guys, room for failure and long-term sustained starter years. This helps us in Superflex. And I think with Cam Ward, he has a cannon for an arm. He has enough athletic ability and mobility, not necessarily a runner, but he's not unathletic.
Starting point is 00:12:48 I'd say he's pretty athletic. And he's got that gunslinger mentality where is, what's his record in the NFL going to be? I don't know as a starting quarterback. But I think he's a player that is going to take chances downfield, look to force the issue, and potentially put up big fantasy numbers, at least at some point in his career. So I'm happy to get Cam Ward at the 101,
Starting point is 00:13:08 excuse me, at the 106, potential 101 in the NFL draft. We're going to take a quick break. We come back. We're going to hear Debrose thoughts on Cam Ward, and we're going to continue our rookie mock draft right here on fantasy points. Welcome back. Theo Graminger with Brett White. for Fantasy Points, joined today by Derek Brown of Fantasy Pros.
Starting point is 00:13:32 We are six picks through our post-combine rookie mock draft. We started out the 101. Brett Whitefield took Ashton Gentie. At the 102, Debrough selected Ted McMillan, wide receiver, Arizona. At the 103, I selected Omari and Hampton running back, North Carolina. At the 104, Brett Whitefield selected Jackson Dart quarterback from Old Miss. and then at the 105, Dibro, the shock pick. Trey Harris, wide receiver, Ole Miss,
Starting point is 00:14:03 and then I selected Cam Ward, quarterback Miami at the 106. Dbro, what do you have going on this time of year? Where can people find your podcasts and all of your content? Man, I mean, obviously all the things are our fantasy pros. I'm getting deeper and deeper into this prospect class, working towards my top 100 board, top 100 prospects, all skill guys, is going to have write-ups and stuff.
Starting point is 00:14:27 That'll be out before the NFL draft. Plus the NFL draft show that's on the dynasty feed for Fantasy Pros. Seth and I are rocking through that. Mr. Whitefield's going to come on and talk wide receivers. We got to, you know, we got some shifting dates after the combine and stuff. So Brett got a, Brett and I got a pony up what day we're going to do that. But it's going to happen, baby. But again, all the prospect stuff, and I'm getting deep into the weeds is over Fantasy Pro.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Yeah, and highly recommend all the D-Brose content and podcasts. I always love chopping it up with you, Brett. or excuse me, D-Bro. Where are you at with Cam Ward, though? So, like, share your thoughts for the community, because I know Brett has talked about him, multiple podcasts we've done recently, sort of where are you at on Cam Ward, the prospect?
Starting point is 00:15:08 My QB3. And the reason I was cussing at Brett earlier is because I have Jackson Dart as my QB2, Shador is my QB1. And people, again, like, I'm apparently, you know, staple the Amarian Hampton Hater Club. I apparently hate Cam Ward. I'm a staple of that hater club as well,
Starting point is 00:15:24 because when you look at quarterback prospects and I look at ceiling and floor and I look at, okay, what am I getting down to down as far as consistency, accuracy, off scriptability and stuff? Look, Jackson Dart provides all of that and a higher floor than Cam Ward does, man, and he still offers the ceiling. So, like, when you look at your parsing through these quarterbacks and what are their outlooks in the NFL and stuff, I got a shit ton of hate last year for having Caleb Williams is my QB3 when he was the QB1. Brett and I were riding together on that. So this year we're pretty much riding together on quarterbacks again at the very tippy top. And I look at Cam Ward.
Starting point is 00:16:01 Could he be a top eight quarterback in the NFL if everything hits and coalesces and all the tools come to fruition and he's awesome? Yes. Could he be a bust as well? It is definitively possible. And if anybody tells you with any abject certainty that he will not bust, I really, really question what you're walking about or what you've watched from him. the rose-colored glasses that you're looking at his prospect evaluation with, because do you see the high-end moments? Yes. Do you see the special wow plays in the ball placement?
Starting point is 00:16:33 Yes. Does he also go through moments where the accuracy is off? He's holding the ball. He can get rattled in spots where you're like, do that down-to-down consistency has to improve in the NFL because things are going to get faster. Coverage is going to get more complicated and things are going to get much harder. So are you going to rise to the occasion and improve your accuracy down to down, improve your consistency, your decision making, all of these parts or pieces down to down? Or are we going to see the worst parts of your game and the bad habits that you do have at the NFL more?
Starting point is 00:17:07 So I think there's a wider range of outcomes for Cam Ward and his projection of the NFL than a lot of people think I'm not shying away and saying that the high end moments are not there, but there are some lows in his film too. Well, there we go. Debrough sharing his thoughts on Cam Ward. Again, highly recommend the previous few podcasts we've dropped where Brett Whitefield kind of breaks down his rankings where he's on guys. Brett, keep us going here.
Starting point is 00:17:34 You're at the 107. We now have two quarterbacks off the board. Where are you out on this pick? Tyler Warren, tight end Penn State. Thank you. Love it. And a reminder to everyone, this is a 1.5 point tight end premium. Brett, your thoughts on Warren for anybody listening for the first time.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Yeah, Warren and Loveland are both studs. I was going either way. I did pencil Warren in here, and I'm three for three so far on pencil picks. But hey, Tyler Warren's an absolute monster. He's a do-it-all, three-down player, good route runner, explosive guy. A sneaky factor with him is you might get some rushing touchdowns and some rushing yards from him as a player in fantasy football watch. I think it's important.
Starting point is 00:18:16 You know, so many teams are doing the tush push now. There's no reason a team wouldn't use him as a tish-bush guy to protect. their quarterback, which means rushing touchdowns. So he did it at Penn State. He had, what, 300 yards rushing last year as a Wildcat QB slash running back? I mean, the dude is, he's just a phenomenal player all the way around. So big Tyler Warren guy, it is tight and premium. I'm taking it to the bank.
Starting point is 00:18:38 Brett, tell me that Sean Payton's not looking at some of those moments and saying, oh, baby, my Tassum Hill Plus come to Denver. Yeah, Peyton's not going to get a shot at Tyler Warren. No, he's not. He's going to be crying in his pillar. I mean, I think more likely than not. not his former team might select Tyler Warren. Nine for this New Orleans Saints. Maybe the logical one for me. Let's keep this one going. Debrough, where are you out on this next
Starting point is 00:19:03 pick? I'm going to stop the fall. I don't know why he's tumbling and mocks. We haven't played any football. He did nothing but crush his podiums. I'm tired of the freaking hate. I'm stopping the fall. Shreder Sanders, come on down, baby. My key be one of this class. Love his accuracy. Love his ball placement. This guy gets so much freaking hate from so many different people that don't like his father, that want to confirm their priors, they want to just sit here and talk crap and have no substantive, like,
Starting point is 00:19:30 anything to back it up. People want to talk about, oh, he holds onto the ball too long, he escapes out of the pocket. Did you watch the freaking film and see the offensive line that he was playing behind? Did you watch his wide receivers get open,
Starting point is 00:19:44 or should I say not get open, outside of Travis Hunter? So for all the hate that Shigur Sanders gets, I can't wait to see him cough and nail so many bad takes when he gets to the NFL. Well, you're not going to find Shardar Sanders' hatred here. That would have been my pick as well. Brett's talked about him in a positive light for like a year and a half.
Starting point is 00:20:04 So again, we're not, we're completely on that. And I think that a lot of these, again, it's a wide range in NFL mock drafts right now. But I think when the dust settles, Shardurr Sanders is going to go inside of the top 10 picks. I think that's a very, very safe bet. And if people, some of these people saying he's going to be end of the first. round like there's no there's no no chance not with this free not with this free agent class i'll tell you that somebody's going to need to get find their answer long-term answer a quarterback with shudor standards now the three quarterbacks so i think spoiler alert the i don't think there'll be another
Starting point is 00:20:38 quarterback in this first round uh this pick becomes an interesting one it is tight end premium so colston lovelin is still a very viable selection i i basically think that the value though here lies at running back. And for me, it's a toss-up with both Ohio State running backs here. I have Quinchon Judkins as my RB3, Trayvion Henderson as my RB4. I'm going to go with Henderson, though, here because I think he has a better shot of being that potential wild card
Starting point is 00:21:10 to go inside the first round. So a little bit of a game theory, I think Trayvion Henderson is one where if we see a domino effect and Ashton Genty goes off the board in the first 10 picks, first 15 picks of the NFL draft. Omar and Hampton not too far behind him. I think you're going to see someone position themselves to go get their guy. And NFL teams chasing that Jemir Gibbs big play threat running back.
Starting point is 00:21:33 I think somebody's going to fall in love with Trayvion Henderson. I know Brett has mentioned the Minnesota Vikings. I think the Denver Broncos. I think there's a bunch of these teams sort of in that wheelhouse down to the Washington commanders who could be looking for that explosive big play running back. who can handle those high-value touches and be a receiver out of the backfield. So Trayvion Henderson locked in at the 109. Any thoughts on Henderson, Brett, before you keep going.
Starting point is 00:22:03 I just want to say, minus the Trey Harris pick. I've successfully predicted every pick so far. Look at this guy. Look at this guy. Look at this poker face right here. He doesn't even on top of it. He knows which way we're going, let alone which way he's going. I mean, unbelievable, Brett.
Starting point is 00:22:18 Well, Brett also does have the ability. We talk ball with this man. way too much or like I said before the show, maybe not enough. So, you know, there is that too. I only podcast with them like three times a week at this point. So if not more. So Brett, keep us going here. Trayman Henderson.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Okay, cool. Colson Loveland, tight end, Michigan. Yeah, I'm just, I'm smacking the premium positions right now. Quarterbacks, tight ends. Give them all to me, man. Thank you for allowing this to happen. Colson Loveland, tight end Michigan. Yeah, another every down player.
Starting point is 00:22:48 He's not going to be as big of a needle mover in the run game as say a Tyler Warren, which is why I have Warren slightly ahead, because I think Warren inevitably gets better draft capital. Colson loving those every bit as good of a receiver as Tyler Warren. There are different types of players where Tyler Warren is more of a yak, smash type, a seam buster, you know, very physical, kind of a Tucker craft, George Kittle hybrid, where Colson Loveland can out, just flat out run routes. He can get out there, route you up.
Starting point is 00:23:16 He's going to win one-on-ones. He's excellent against man coverage, against safetys, it doesn't matter. He's big. You can move him out wide and get mismatch up opportunity against corners and Nichols. Yeah, he's a stud. And I think in a passive, happy league, you know, he's absolutely a guy I want to clean up here in a super flex tight end premium league. Yeah, and we've talked about this before. Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland are both going to benefit from the success of Brock Bowers and the fact that this draft class doesn't have as much high-end premium talent across the board. It's a copycat league in the NFL, and both of these guys are, like, just terrific tight-end prospects. I'll think Bowers ahead of either, but at the end of the day, both of these guys, I think, go inside the top 15 picks in the NFL draft.
Starting point is 00:24:03 I think that's a great pick. Debrough, keep us going. I'm going to go with a guy that I think goes in the first round of the NFL draft, stopping the fall for him. He is my wider seat for three of the class, Emeka, Buka, come on down. Dude, you send him to the Rams in round one. be the Cooper Cup replacement. That's what I want in my life here for it. Dream landing spot. I think that would be fantastic for him. I think also Houston would be a great landing
Starting point is 00:24:30 spot for him. Wide receiver two has been successful in Houston since Stroud got there. I like that pick a lot. That's my wide receiver too. Again, you can find out Brett and my complete rankings in every single position. We recorded that a little earlier this week. But I'll wrap up our first round here. I almost took him a couple of picks ago. Quinn Sean Judkins, sort of the arbitrage play to chasing Omari in Hampton. I get the elite testing numbers. I get the potential Belcal profile. Brett has talked about his potential as a three down back in the NFL.
Starting point is 00:25:02 I completely agree with him. And I think Quinn Sean Judkins, with what he did at the combine, you're talking about top 45 NFL draft capital. He'll be gone before the middle of the second round. Absolute stud. He'll be a starter as a rookie. So that wraps us up, guys. Let's give a quick recap before we take a break of what we did in the first round here.
Starting point is 00:25:21 Ashton Gentie running back Boise State goes at the 101 to Brett. D-Bro takes Tett McMillan, wide receiver, Arizona at the 102. I took O'Marian Hampton running back to UNC at the 103. Brett took Jackson Dart, quarterback Ole Miss at the 104. D-Bro takes wide receiver, Trey Harris, wide receiver from Ole Miss, back-to-back Ole Miss players at the four and the five. I take Cam Ward at the 106. Brett takes Tyler Warren, tight end Penn State at the 107.
Starting point is 00:25:49 D-Bro takes Chedur Sanders quarterback Colorado at the 108. I took Trayvion Henderson running back Ohio State at the 109. Brett takes Colston Loveland, the tight end from Michigan at the 110. D-Bro takes Ameca-Egbuka, the wide receiver from Ohio State at the 11. And I wrapped up the first round with Quinn-Shon Judkins running back Ohio State. We're going to take a quick break. We come back. We are drafting the second round.
Starting point is 00:26:13 Welcome back. Fantasy points, Dynasty rookie mock draft. Again, this is Superflex, tight-end premium PPR. First round is in the books. Brett Whitefield, right back to you. You're at the top of the second round here, the 201. Which way are you going? He's going to hurt my heart. I know exactly where you're going. Go ahead. I don't think you do it for one. I've had this pick pencil then since before we started the draft. Okay. I just also want to say, Theo, that Quinn John Judkins at 12 is so much more valuable of a pick than Amari and Hampton at three. You're getting basically the same player, nine picks apart. And if that's the way Ricky drafts are actually going to go, I want as many
Starting point is 00:26:55 late first round picks as I can possibly get. Dude, I want as many seconds of this class as I possibly can. I love all the seconds. I love Hampton. Hampton's my RB, too. So it's nothing against Hampton. It's just like, we're getting effectively the same caliber player nine picks later. That's insane value. So anyways, did you want to comment on that? No, I'll make a quick comment.
Starting point is 00:27:15 I think that you guys are absolutely right. And I think if you're listing this and you're in a dynasty league, accumulating those 11s, 112s, that's fantastic. Because there's also a chance that if we see the three quarterbacks and a multiple wide receivers and multiple running backs with high end draft capital, high end landing spots, there's a chance that Colston Loveland, the tight end two, could fall into that 11 range in certain leagues. And there's multiple players on the board now that are very, very valuable, This is just a, this is a class where you want exposure to the second round.
Starting point is 00:27:47 You want exposure to the end of the first round. And like Brett said, yeah, if you have someone in your league where you can maneuver around and end up with two of these guys, a two for one, this is that sort of year. Keep us going here, D, bro. No, it's me. It's, it's my heart here. Go ahead. Take a wide receiver three.
Starting point is 00:28:06 I don't think I am going to break your heart because I'm going to go with me or B3. Oh, okay. All right. Fine. That works out for me. And yes, I do have you penciled in for J. Lyndall for your next pick. Damn right.
Starting point is 00:28:18 RJ Harvey running back. Oh, that. So listen, that's going to, I'm kind of a de bro. Like, I like to play the ADP quite a bit. And I, you know, I like to look for value. I have no idea where you guys are at on Harvey. So I want to make sure I got him. So I'm probably taking him early for the way most drafts are going to go.
Starting point is 00:28:36 He's my RB3, though. He's a top 50 player in the class to me. Easy selection here. Easy selection here. I knew you were going to hurt. me regardless of wherever you went. I thought it was either J. LaNole. I thought R.J. Harvey was a possibility. I want to give some love to R.J. too. He is my RB5 of the class, has been my RB5, pre-combined, and post-combine. I freaking love R.J. Harvey. I love his skill set, three-down guy, top 20
Starting point is 00:29:03 and breakaway run rate and elusive rating over the last two years. I just think I love this running back class, man. Like, I want a ton of second round picks and all dynasty formats. to scoop up all these guys because I think we're going to see a lot of running backs go in the second and third round of the NFL draft. If some of these guys drop to the round four, I'll be honestly kind of shocked, but I'm going to scoop the value, man. I love Harvey. Well, keep us going here at the 202, D Bro.
Starting point is 00:29:35 I already told you the pick. Yeah, I mean, it's a bit Brett. Brett already prophesized this and he's not wrong, man. We have been talking about Jalen all since Brett came on. the Senior Bowl preview episode for Fantasy Pro's draft show too. I can't get off at all, man. This guy is awesome.
Starting point is 00:29:55 I mean, come on, guys. Did we see him lose a one-on-one rep in Mobile? If he did, I must have been in the bathroom at that point, but I'll kick this to you guys because he crushed the combine. He's incredibly athletic. He plays bigger than his size. He can play in, like, I think he's going to be a slot player, but I also think that Jay La Null,
Starting point is 00:30:14 and I've said this from the beginning, I think he can play 50-50. I think you can win outside. So Brett and I have both talked about him and Amonaross, same Brown, and the same breath. I don't think that Brett is wrong. I'm not wrong with that.
Starting point is 00:30:27 The dude could be a guy that is going to be a plug and play stud and should be a second round draft pick in the NFL draft. I love it. I mean, Brett and I have talked about Jeline Noel. He has Noel higher. Noel is my wide receiver six,
Starting point is 00:30:39 but I think again... My wide receiver four. We're all, we are all, I think, ahead of the overall consensus with Noel. But I've said this to Brett a few times. I think this is one of those, the actual NFL draft happens and a bunch of people have to go quickly update their dynasty rookie rankings and move them up. So I think this is way more reflective of where he'll actually be in dynasty rookie drafts than maybe some shows are mocking him to. But I have another sort of layup pick here. Caleb Johnson off the board here, easy pick for me. Caleb, people are
Starting point is 00:31:10 punishing for running a 457. I'm not. And yeah, I mean, Caleb Johnson, it's the same player as he was before the combine. He just happens to be in the same class as two other Belkow profiles in Hampton and Judkins who tested off the charts. And again, of course, with Ashton Genty. But Caleb Johnson, another player I would bet on being a starting running back in the NFL. I'm getting him here at the 203. This is an easy, easy pick for me. Brett, kick it back to you with the 204.
Starting point is 00:31:41 Matthew Golden, wide receiver, Texas. I went him over my actual wide receiver too because I think there's a chance he gets better draft capital. So, you know, I think one of those wide receiver needy teams like the Rams, the Texans, they're going to be all over Golden. And I want the volume that he's going to get in those offenses. So that's where I'm leading. I have no problems with that pick. D, bro, just how highly do you think we see Matthew Golden go off the board after that exceptional 42940? he's going to be a first round pick in the NFL draft.
Starting point is 00:32:19 You saw a lot of golden falling out of the round one in mocks and stuff like that. And I didn't necessarily agree. I'm going to own this, guys. I did not see him running a 4-2. Like I thought probably 4-4 speed. I didn't think he was a burner, maybe 4-3s. But I sure as hell didn't see him coming out and running a 4-2-9. So, Brett, I mean, do you disagree?
Starting point is 00:32:42 Did you see 4-2? like that type of speed on his film because I didn't dude. I mean, he looks fast on tape. I saw, you know, mid to high four threes probably. I don't typically predict guys in the four twos unless they tell me they're going to run that fast. And I got burned by a guy this year telling me who's going to run that fast. Yeah, yeah, team man to Texas happens.
Starting point is 00:33:03 No, for sure. Golden, I agree with you, but I think that this is sort of like an icing on the cake one where if we liked him when we thought he was going to be a four, four, four, five guy, and he runs a 4.29, it's like a chef's kiss. It's not like a detriment. Like we're just chasing the fast guy. So I love the golden pick. And certainly he would have been my pick if he was still on the board. But let's keep this thing going. Which way we're going with the next one here? I think it's me. I'm up, right? You, D bro. I'm going to take my guy off the board.
Starting point is 00:33:39 Hold on one second. Let me update this. We've got to see where I've got him in my ranks right now. I've got him as my wide receiver six right behind Matthew Golden. I'm just cleaning up on Iowa State, guys. I'm going Jaden Higgins, man. Tested fantastically at the combine. I think he honestly, I'm not going to say he ran better than I thought he was going to. I thought he was in that high, 4-4, low 4-5 range. But good vert, good broad, athletic as I'll get out.
Starting point is 00:34:05 I think he's a second round pick in the NFL draft as well. Dude, if you put Jaden Higgins into a power slot role in the NFL, oh, baby, he is going to just hoover targets. It's going to happen. I mean, Brett, you and I were texting way before Senior Bowl by Jaden Higgins. And, like, basically this is what, Slant God 2.0? I mean, I'm not saying that he can't play on the outside. And with this athleticism, you don't see him stretch the field.
Starting point is 00:34:29 But I think as much in college, but I think that was more of a Rocco Beck issue than it was a Jaden Higgins issue. Yeah, Higgins is phenomenal. I think he's another combo player can play outside in X, Z doesn't matter. So really good player. I mean, can we also talk about with that, like this second tier of wide receivers guys, like, can we push back a little bit on the narrative that this wide receiver class is not good? Because I've been here, I keep hearing that and I think it's honestly just a dog water take. Like, people are not watching the film. They're not giving enough respect to a lot of these tier two and three wide receivers.
Starting point is 00:35:01 I hate that take. The issue for me with it, D bro, is you've got not a lot of talent at the very top compared to last year or the year before. And then it just falls off a cliff. Like I have 11 guys that I can comfortably say I like. Last year I had 19 day one and day two grades. This year I have. So. So yeah, I got about 10 guys that I like in this draft.
Starting point is 00:35:24 I think I still think even like last year's class, I think there's a lot of guys that still have to go out and prove it. Like for all the people that love Keon Coleman, did you see enough to where you really loved him last year? And a lot of these other wide receivers from that class. But you can't compare a class to. NFL like that's fair
Starting point is 00:35:46 one receivers taken day one and day two last year I had 19 day one and day two grades you're not going to see that this year those guys is my running back so I do think factually speaking this is a worst draft class for wide receiver but it's not a I guess my thing about it is not a bad wide receiver class
Starting point is 00:36:02 that's what I keep here it is a terrible wide receiver class and I disagree with that people thought the DJ Moore class is bad and you got DJ Moore and Cortland Sutton and a bunch of guys out of that class people thought the AJ Brown class is bad. You've got absolute studs out of that class. So yeah, you'll get studs out of this class. Figuring out who those guys are going to be is a little more difficult than most years. I think you nailed it. And I will say that, you know, we also talk about the environment of
Starting point is 00:36:26 the off season where it's a class where there is multiple players that we think are going to be round two picks combined with the fact that we have not a whole lot available on the open market in free agency. Guys like Darius Slayton and Diamy Brown are going to get contracts this. offseason as free agents because there's just not a whole lot of guys available. The best free agent right now is a 32-year-old Devante Adams in terms of a fantasy impact. So a lot of teams are going to look to just draft their wide receiver talent. And I think you're going to see a cleanup in round two. Jaden Higgins, I think like you guys both say Michael Thomas, that's going to get the people super
Starting point is 00:37:03 hype. I think an outcome, though, that I think is viable. I think he's on the Michael Pittman Jr. trajectory where that's sort of, of, a level where not wide receiver one overall in the wheelhouse, but a guy who's going to produce big time high-end wide receiver two potential can play the sock and play outside. So Higgins is a way more explosive player than Pittman Jr. I was going to say I think Higgins is more athletic and gives you more both downfield
Starting point is 00:37:28 and after the catch, but I don't disagree. Flip side to that though is Pittman Jr. was NFL ready made. He came in with a very, very good skills like NFL ready skill set where Higgins, he's got a little development to. get through a little you need some work getting off press getting off the line of scrimand stuff like that so he does he uses his body like extremely well on those end breaking routes that's what i think like again moving him inside making things a little bit easier than asking to go outside and you know run big boy a route tree and x from day one i'm going to keep us going here at the
Starting point is 00:38:00 two oh six i'm going to take my tight end three in the class elijah eroyo uh this to me seems like a great value pick because i think aroyo is also going to get that top 40 potential NFL draft Capitol. He is the tight end three in this class, but a really, really intriguing one. Miami Pro Day is the 24th of March. I think after that, like the people are going to get way back on that, Arroyo train like we saw post-senior Bowl. He's a really, really fun prospect and a very fantasy-friendly profile. Happy to get him here in the middle of the second. Brett, kick it over to you with the 20-7. You already know. Go for it. Eulich, A. U.Nor, wide receiver. I knew it was coming. He had to be coming.
Starting point is 00:38:41 honestly if Brett was in a room where I think other people liked Eelik as much as he did, he would have been gone a few picks ago. Like some of you wouldn't have taken him with your last pick, Brett. For sure, for sure. Yeah. I mean, part of this is you know the room. And that's my pick for who the Rams select, D-Bro. I think that's going to be the post-NFL draft,
Starting point is 00:39:02 like unbelievable landing spot, great profile guy. That four-four-seven-out runner, dude. Yeah, he'd fit in perfectly. He'd fit in perfectly opposite, and Akua. I would love that landing spot. Let's kick it back to you, D. Bro. I look A.m. Manor off the board, and I know you like a Royal as well. Which way are you going to go here at the 208? I just watched this guy. I had a placeholder ranking for him until I got to his tape. I just finished his tape last night. I really like this guy, and I'm not going to say it's prison in the moment.
Starting point is 00:39:34 There's a few different ways I could go with the running back position, but I want to get some shine to a guy that I think tested really well. And I was, really surprised. It's always fun when you get deeper into the prospects and you watch film on a guy and you're like, oh, crap. Like, I didn't, I apologize. I wasn't aware of your game. I'm taking DJ Giddens here. Like him, I like his footwork.
Starting point is 00:39:56 I think he offers better contact balance than people may be giving credit for, especially when he's got more of an upright running style. But did his footwork in the second level and his ability to create yards on his own, I think is really freaking good. And he tested really well at the combine. Brett, we haven't talked about Giddens.
Starting point is 00:40:15 What are your thoughts on him? He has some likable qualities for sure. I have a, what, a round three grade. He's my RB 11 of the class. Okay. You know, kind of a slasher type player. You have three down skill set potentially. He's got some work to do, but he can get there for sure.
Starting point is 00:40:31 Like, I've got him in that same kind of range as like Tootin and some other guys like Neil that I like, you know, not talk on the table here, but like other guys in this class where I'm like, yeah, you can be a three down back. Yeah, you could go in round three. Yes, come on down. So here at the 209, I will end the free fall. A lot of people listening in watching on YouTube are like, when are you guys going to take Luther Burden?
Starting point is 00:40:53 I'm taking Luther Burden here at the 209. I still think that Luther Burden will have a team embrace this profile. And I will say round one pick in the NFL draft, Luther Burden. Brett has been, Brett and I dove deep into the Luther burden disparity in our rankings. Which way are you leaning with Luther Burden? I hear the audible disgust sounds from Debrough right now. Dude, Luth. Jalen Knoll is who everybody wants Luther Burden to be.
Starting point is 00:41:24 I'm going to say that right now. Luther Burden, I'm sorry, I'm below consensus on him. I was not going to pick him. I'm going to let him fall down the board. I just, he's an absolute projection as far as route running. And I've heard a lot of people out there saying, well, he's got the movement skills. He could be a really good route runner.
Starting point is 00:41:39 And I'm like, being a good. route runner and maybe you become a good route runner are two totally different conversations to have. So like with Luther Burton, so much of his production was schemed up in college, he's going to need that in the NFL. And to me, give me a guy that you can ask to go out there and play conventional wide receiver that doesn't need all the screens, it doesn't need the scheme production to succeed from day one. Give me that every single time over. a guy that needs all these bells and whistles to get him open, to get him involved in the offense and stuff like that. I'm sorry, he is not DJ Moore. I am sorry. He is not
Starting point is 00:42:20 Zay Flowers. Like, if people are copying him to that, I really question, did you actually watch his film? He's Malachi Corley. Oh, yes. My man. My man. Yes. Again, let us know. Malachi Corley. Thank you. Yes. Let us, let us know in the chat. Are these guys too low? on Luther Burden or are you also fading him in your rookie draft? Let's keep this going. Let's wrap up round two. We're kicking it right back over to Brett. Brett, we're not going to take Luther Burden.
Starting point is 00:42:53 Who are you going to take here? That is true. That is true. I'm officially out of sketch notes here. So my predictiveness is now run out. So I'm flying by the seat of my pants now. I think I got to go with my RBC. And again, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:43:13 I don't have a good feel for the ADP right now. This might be insanely early on him. I'm kind of looking through a couple sites. This does look insanely early on him. Oh, well, I don't care. He's my guy. Thank him, bro. I'm going to go Miami running back, Damien Martinez.
Starting point is 00:43:28 First of all, tremendous athlete at the size. True three-down skill set. Now, there's a lot of guys who project as possibly a three-down skill set. Martinez is fantastic in pass, bro. He has super soft hands. You see him running routes. I mean, the dude at like 235 pounds was catching wheel routes for Miami. Very good player all around.
Starting point is 00:43:49 Mean, violent runner. These big, powerful guys are becoming more in vogue because of the rate teams are playing too high coverage shells. You're taking that safety out of the box. It is easy to play smash mouth football these days. He comes in. He can be anyone's thunder and he's got the chance to be a thunder and a lightning because he's got some juice to his game as well.
Starting point is 00:44:10 I mean, there's no problem on my end. We've been high on Damien Martinez since before the Senior Bowl. This is a powerful back who looks good doing everything with elite production at two separate schools, first running back to run for 1,000 yards at Miami in like nine years. Damien Martinez is also young, Brett. There's room to run in this profile. I like this pick a lot. I think he's a day two pick in the NFL draft and another guy that people are going to sort of have to adjust for.
Starting point is 00:44:39 back to you, Dibro, which way you go in here, the 2-11? I'll take the guy that crushed the combine that some people are wondering when we still have left on the board. But again, this is why I love having second round picks because there's just a swath of guys that I really love in this range. Bacial chute and come on down, crush the combine, explosive, probably the 1A of a committee. I don't think he's going to be a guy that you probably like pencil in for 25 touches a week and stuff like that. give me 12 to 15 at that explosiveness while understanding you are absorbing because everybody talks about the testing they talk about the high points of his game he's got some things to clean up no doubt like when you have as many fumbles over the last two years um with what 150
Starting point is 00:45:22 250 200 less carries than ashton gentee um that that could be a problem so i like the tooth dick i was in on tootin before the crazy combine same um you know i did i got like zero exposure to him before the senior bowl. And as we were watching the senior bowl, I kind of was feeling some things, then got into the tape and we got home and really liked what I saw. But he's a good player. This is a league.
Starting point is 00:45:44 Everyone's chasing explosive plays now, right? 53% of his yards came on explosive runs. So I agree with your assessment too. He's probably not a bell cow type. I think that's obvious. Like, isn't he the arbitrage pick of Trayvion Henderson? Can we talk about that? Exactly.
Starting point is 00:46:00 Exactly what I was going to say, D bro. This is like what Brett said. This draft has arbitrage. Yeah, like, you know, you brought up the fact that Jalen Knoll is what people want with Luther Burden. I would say that in a lot of pre-N-Fel drafts, Burden's going to go ahead of Noel. So you can just wait and take Noel if you will for that sort of archetype. And then, you know, Brett brought up the Quinchon Judkins and Omari and Hampton have similar, you know,
Starting point is 00:46:26 arguments for them, both, you know, big time college producers, alpha profiles, three-down skill sets. and you can get him nine picks later. Again, Tuton, NFL teams, you know, might be able to get him 40 picks after Treyon Henderson, depending on the way the NFL draft goes. I'm with you. I think Tudin, I almost selected him on the burden pick.
Starting point is 00:46:49 This is a really, really strong value here athletically. Just unbelievable numbers. Really be interested to see how NFL teams value him, but we both agree he's going to get drafted well ahead of like where Jalen Wright was drafted last year by NFL. I think there's a chance someone pulls the trigger at the end of round two. And that sort of changes the argument and the outcome for Tutin if we have second rounder next to his name, which I think is a possibility.
Starting point is 00:47:14 And for me here to wrap it up, we just went two running backs in a row. I will do running back cleanup here. And I'm going to take Dylan Samson, like Martinez, he's one of the younger running backs in this draft class. Wade in at 200 pounds, didn't test. But this is a player that I like a lot. sort of the same argument for Tutin. I don't think this is a guy who's ever going to be a incredible volume running back, but I think a James Cook-like outcome is not completely out of the wheelhouse with Samson.
Starting point is 00:47:44 And because this draft class is so strong, I'm able to get him down near the two three turn. So I'm happy with that value. Guys, let's recap the second round. And then we're going to take a quick break. And when we come back, we're going to do the third round. R.J. Harvey at the 201 to Brett Whitefield. Dibro takes Jalen Knoll, wide receiver Iowa State.
Starting point is 00:48:06 I took Caleb Johnson running back Iowa at the 203. Brett selected Matthew Golden, wide receiver, Texas, 42940 at the NFL Combine at the 204. Dibro selects Jaden Higgins, Jalen Knoll's teammate at Iowa State at the 205. I select Elijah Arroyo, tight end Miami at the 204. B. Brett selects Eelich Iamanor, wide receiver from Stanford at the 207. Dibro selects D.J. Giddens, the running back from Kansas State at the 208. I selected Luther Burden, wide receiver, Missouri at the 209.
Starting point is 00:48:42 Brett selected Damian Martinez running back Miami at the 210. D. Bro selected Basial Tutton running back Virginia Tech at the 211. And I closed out the second round with Dylan Samson running back Tennessee. Still a ton of talent on the board. we're going to take a quick break. We come back. We're drafting the third round. Welcome back, Theo Greminger and Brett Whitefield for fantasy points,
Starting point is 00:49:06 joined today by Derek Brown of Fantasy Pros. We are two rounds in of our Superflex PPR, tight end premium post-combined dynasty rookie draft. Guys, this has been a lot of fun so far. Kicking it back to you, Brett. You are on the clock with the 301. Jack Bash, wide receiver, TCU. Thanks again.
Starting point is 00:49:26 I love this man. It shows you the class. We had six to the next go in the second round, which leaves a guy like Betts. You very well could get early second round capital, just sitting there in a third round. I guess, you know, if things did play out that way,
Starting point is 00:49:42 he probably would go higher, right? But I love getting a guy with Best's talent here at pick 301. I love the pick too. I almost want to do over with my Dylan Samson pick. Betch great, great value here. Another guy that like DeBro, Brett and I have talked about how NFL teams are going to value this profile a lot. He could end up being like a shock pick and get Jalen Polk type NFL draft capital.
Starting point is 00:50:08 And then teams are sort of Ladd-McConkie NFL draft capital. And teams are doing like a do-over with how they're ranking their dynasty rookie rankings post-NFL draft. Where you see Jack Betch in the actual NFL draft landing if you had to give him a range? I think he's in play anywhere in that. late round two discussion, probably round three in the NFL draft. And that's totally fine, man. He's a dog, dude. I think the more that he's gotten into, because again, this is a guy that came out
Starting point is 00:50:41 when TELUSU played tight in to begin his collegiate career. And he's had to cut weight and more. So like the wide receiver position is not exactly like he's been playing this for forever. And I think like, you know, we've seen him cut more weight and stuff. I think the last way in was, correct me if I'm wrong guys, are what, 217 for Jack Bash? And so I think that especially he really proved a lot to me at Senior Bowl, both from a route running separation, both at the catch point.
Starting point is 00:51:07 I mean, basically everything is a wide receiver, proved it a lot more at Senior Bowl to me than, and I'm not saying his tape is bad, but I think he really proved a lot of things. If you had questions about his tape, he proved a lot of things, proof of them putting in Mobile. I totally agree with the Mobile take. He basically, all his production came from the slot at TCU, mostly. Yep.
Starting point is 00:51:29 And then the mobile, he barely, he barely touched the slot. He was primarily- He won on the outside. And he won deep, dude, in multiple different ways. Like, I mean- Yeah. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:51:38 He was phenomenal. Yeah. Jack Betch is awesome. We all co-signed this pick. Great, great value for Brett. Brett, you're running pure on some of your guys, getting all your guys in this draft. D-Bro, kicking it back to you at the 302.
Starting point is 00:51:54 I'm torn between a few different guys with this pick. I'm going to go back to Mobile and going to talk about a guy that I think prove some things and still has proven things coming out of a smaller school. Jalen Royals, come on down. I love these rack threat guys. And I think, and Brett and I talked about Jalen Royals before going to Mobile. Dude, when you go out in a scene like Mobile and you're playing better corners than you ever played in college, you're still getting open. you're in Mobile and you're getting open and he has definitively was not 100%
Starting point is 00:52:30 and no it wasn't the foot, it was a soft tissue issue. And he's still getting open, but he's not getting open because of speed and just raw athleticism. He's getting open because of route running. And so those are some of the things where it's like, okay, can you get open versus better competition? Check.
Starting point is 00:52:46 Can you get open with other tools in the bag outside of just speed and athleticism and screens, things like that? Can you do that? He proved that in Mobile to me. I love Jalen Royals, liked them before Mobile, definitely proved a lot of other parts of his game, and should be opening some eyes,
Starting point is 00:53:04 especially running a 4-4 at the Combine. Yeah, I mean, we love Jalen Royals, and that was the one thing lacking in Mobile was you didn't see that downfield speed that maybe you were hopeful for. And Royals told us he was playing at 80%. Certainly looked healthy at the Combine. A really, really nice.
Starting point is 00:53:21 No, not 100% at the Combine. I asked him about that at the podium. He said he's not 100%, but he was going to do what he could as far as testing. Yeah, and Jack Betch, Jalen Royals, I think like both these guys, just tremendous values to start us out here in the third round. I'm going to take the big gamble here. No one wants to take Travis Hunter. I'm going to take Travis Hunter here in the third round, dice roll.
Starting point is 00:53:43 Maybe I get stuck holding a guy I can never use in fantasy. But if we land in the right situation and some coach says, you know what, I don't care. And we get Mike Vrable saying, I'm going to play him 65% of the offensive snaps. then I'm getting a tremendous value here with Travis Hunter cornerback slash wide receiver from Colorado at the 303. Yeah, I assume we weren't doing that, but that's great value. That's probably the way to do it if you're going to go Hunter to draft before the draft. Well, we didn't specify.
Starting point is 00:54:09 We didn't specify the rules here. He probably does go in the second round of most rookie drafts. I mean, because people are going to take the dice roll because the ceiling's high, but I just look at his transition in the NFL and I'm like, how does this make sense? Are you really going to play him as a full-time play? on both sides of the ball. I don't see that happening at the NFL level.
Starting point is 00:54:28 So how does that work out? The way that I envision his role of the NFL, I think he's going to play full-time corner, and then you bring him in on offense for like 15 snaps. You give him scheme production. You give him easy crossers. You make things easy and let him just go out there and be a dude. So, you know, does he get five to six targets?
Starting point is 00:54:44 And is he more of the tasome hill of wide receivers? You know, and that's the way, like, I mean, and I'm not knocking the talent at all, but we also have to talk about it. like if he's only playing 15, maybe 20 snaps on offense, like unless they're force feeding in the ball, what's that going to look like on a weekly basis? Fair.
Starting point is 00:55:05 Yeah, it's an ultimate dice roll pick. And I think that you're accepting risk when you select Travis Hunter, but it's a risk where a lot of times in years past guys, the risky pick was a guy coming off of a major injury. Now the risk is, does he play the position? So it's actually a kind of a lesser risk here. And also, even though we love the talent in the third round this year more so than most years, third round hit rates for dynasty rookie drafts are not exactly a 100% bet.
Starting point is 00:55:36 So I'm willing to take a risk here, potentially be willing to take a risk in the late second on the chance that some NFL coach says, I have to use him because he's better than any wide receiver I have, which is possible with some of these landing spots. let's keep this one going. We're kicking it back to Brett. We are at the 304, Brett. I'm taking Ollie the professional Gordon, Oklahoma State.
Starting point is 00:56:03 This guy is a professional running back. Reminds me a lot of Brian Robinson, Jr. when he was coming out from a profile, big, you know, muscular size, NFL size running back can hammer you inside but has legit long speed, really good buildup speed. It's funny, he has the fastest GPS. time in the class as a running back yet.
Starting point is 00:56:23 He ran 4-6. So the truth is obviously somewhere in the middle. But there isn't anything this dude doesn't do well. He's awesome in pass protection, probably the best pass-protecting back in the class. He's got really soft hands. He's a good receiver. Not a guy who would ever be a mismatch weapon as a receiver,
Starting point is 00:56:38 but a guy you can certainly scheme it up for in the screen game, checkdown game. He checks all those boxes. He's so detailed in everything he does. He is a professional. Classic case of a guy. people forget about he's going to get drafted in the third round and that he's going to be a really good pro like Brian Robinson Jr. Yeah, and I think that when Brett says Brian Robinson, Jr., that doesn't get people like standing up and clapping.
Starting point is 00:57:02 But Brian Robinson Jr., if you drafted him in your dynasty rookie draft, you were getting him in this similar range. And you've had running back utility from Robinson in multiple years of his career. So, Ollie Gordon, to me, I love the pick, Brett. and I considered him where I took Travis Hunter. Runs a 4-6-1-40. Ollie Gordon has a ton of college production. This is a really, really strong value for you. Most years, he's a second round rookie pick,
Starting point is 00:57:28 and he still might be after the NFL draft. Kick it over to you. Debrough, let's keep this thing going. 305. I'm going to make this easy. I think it's another three down back in the intermits here. Devin Neil, come on down. I don't care that he ran, you know,
Starting point is 00:57:43 what he ran at the 40. If you watch the tape, he was going to be in that range. That's not Devin Neal's game. Devin Neal is not going to wow and beat you with long speed and raw speed. Devin Neal beat you because of vision, patience, fluidity, and footwork. And watching this guy weave through guys in the second level of defenses is a freaking treat. So Devin Neal, happy to pick him here.
Starting point is 00:58:06 I'll keep the running back run going here. A guy that's moved up my rankings, Richard Smith out of SMU. And again, we've seen this. guys for several years now where there's a sub 200 pound back who's come in the NFL and made an impact. I think it's Breschard Smith this year. Phil and Samson doesn't also I got a I got an archetype here guys, but Breschard, Bershard Smith with his value as a receiver out of the backfield, I think that there's a number of teams that are going to look at him as a guy who's in immediately a high value touch committee back. Smith has success in years past as a special teamer, truly explosive
Starting point is 00:58:44 with the ball in his hands. And if he lands correctly, if we're going to find a guy who could go later in rookie drafts who fires off with a high-end fantasy season, he's in that sort of Bucky Irving conversation if we're searching for a Bucky Irving this year. Richard Smith, SMU, pencil them in off the board. I love that pick.
Starting point is 00:59:04 Love that pick, Theo. Yeah, D'Brow, share your thoughts on Breschard. He's going to get overlooked. There's two guys that I wanted to highlight. Richard Smith was one of them. I mean, you talked about it, dude, like, coming out, going to the U and playing slot-wide receiver and then going to SMU the last year, this guy can run legit routes from the outside and the slot.
Starting point is 00:59:23 He is a weapon in the NFL, not just a running back, a freaking weapon. Like, you put him in the other side of a committee. You get him with a creative offensive play caller. Like, this is a guy where it could be talking like, it's like 70 targets in his rookie season. Yeah. And Brett, you know, we've seen a run now. We talked about this before on other pods where the,
Starting point is 00:59:43 the guy who goes from wide receiver to running back, Antonio Gibson, successful pick and player, Tyrone Tracy fired off last year. Richard Smith is the next one. So excited to get that value. Where are you going this way on your pick here at the 307, Brett? Yeah, we're basically out of players I like. So I got to go with the guy I don't like, but I do think draft capital could still be reasonably good. And he's got some likable traits.
Starting point is 01:00:11 So I'll go Isaiah Bond, the other Texas wide receiver. Kind of surprise you still here. I think you guys are a little higher on him than I am. So, but Isaiah Bond, why not? D-Bro, kick it to you with the 308. We're all shooting shots on guys here. There's a few different wide receivers that makes sense, you know, could play the Tower Shuck game.
Starting point is 01:00:38 I'm just going to, again, plant this on a guy that I liked and talking about the archetypes. I'm going to go FCS level here, man. I really like Marcus Yarns. I don't know where it is draft capital is going to look like in the NFL, so obviously this could change that a lot, like if he's going round five, round six.
Starting point is 01:00:54 He tested extremely well. I mean, we're talking about the similar archetype of Breschard Smith. I got it offering you a ton in the passing game. You evoked the name James Cook earlier. That's my exact comp for Marcus Jarnes. I love him as a player. If he gets really good draft capital,
Starting point is 01:01:09 like a guy that I think works into a committee and really could surprise people. He is my pick for the possible Bucky Irving of this class. I like that selection and I've seen your enthusiasm with Yarns. He was another guy that went down to Mobile as sort of an unknown and had a very successful few days there. So Yarns is definitely one to keep an eye on. Here at the 309, I think this is the time where we've seen three tight ends go off the board. I think this is a time where you want to start taking shots at the tight end position. And I will dig my heels in here.
Starting point is 01:01:45 I could go with two athletic tight ends that I think will get better draft capital. But I am going to pre-NFL draft still be on the train that Harold Fannan Jr. Has a team that views him as an impactful player in the passing game. And I will say that Harold Fannan Jr. off the board here at the 309, Brett Whitefield talked me off of a ledge the other day. He's still in. I'm still in. You should still be in. Dibrow, are you still in?
Starting point is 01:02:13 I don't know, man. He's a tweener for me. I think his draft capital is all over the freaking map. I think he tested well enough. I think it's just going to come down to draft capital for me. Like, I could see him going round three. I could see him getting Jaheim bailed. Both outcomes are definitely possible.
Starting point is 01:02:33 Well, there we go. I hope he doesn't get Jaheim bailed. That would be an absolute nightmare for me after using my 309 on him. Thanks for putting that out there, Dibro. I really appreciate that. Brett, where are you going? This is your final pick, the 310, which way you going? I'm going to do the unthinkable.
Starting point is 01:02:49 You guys, right? I know which way you're going. I know where you're going. I do. This is the other. You are going quarterback here. Oh, my. I didn't see you going to. I didn't see you taking a running back here.
Starting point is 01:03:03 I know you too well, Brett. I can pick all your picks. Listen, sometimes Dynasty is all about upside. in ceiling, and especially in the third round. What do we got to lose? Am I really going to get a player with the ceiling of Jalen Milrow right here at this pick? No, I'm not. There's nobody here.
Starting point is 01:03:19 Tyler Shuck stinks. He's got some of the worst plays I've ever seen a quarterback make in college football. And Jalen Milrow also stinks, but at least he's got a rushing floor that makes me excited. If he ever gets on the field, he's in your fantasy starting lineup. That's a line I stole from Theo Grimbinger. Boom, let's go. And you can't even argue against that, D, bro, because even if you don't like, to Jill and Milrow the quarterback and you don't think it could be a long-term NFL player.
Starting point is 01:03:42 At the end of the day, what gives us instant fantasy points is insulation from rushing production. And you can't argue that one, Milro will rush over some yards. That's fair. And I'm not worried about his ability to actually throw the ball. I've actually heard the NFL is still high on this guy and they think there's something to work with there. And I will say this. And I was a big Anthony Richardson guy. But Anthony Richardson has textbook throwing mechanics and pocket movement.
Starting point is 01:04:09 and base and is still an inaccurate thrower. Jalen Milrow at least has things we can fix. His throwing mechanics are wonky. You know, there's a, there's going to be an NFL coach who thinks he can coach him into throwing more accurately. And there's a chance he has more upside as a passer than an Anthony Richardson because we actually have things we can fix. With Richardson, it's kind of puzzling like, well, where do we go?
Starting point is 01:04:32 He does everything correctly with his body mechanics. It ball just doesn't go where it's supposed to. So I think this is a, you know, in the third round, I'm going to be in a super flex league in the third round, I'm going to be all over Jalen Milrow. And I will add this. Brett and I discussed a potential rumor floating around where there's been some links to Vegas with Pete Carroll, Pete Carroll not being disinterested in potentially Milro have a bridge quarterback. And then Milrow has the second round pick in Vegas.
Starting point is 01:04:59 There is another rumor here where I live on Long Island where the Jets enter the season with Tyrod Taylor. as the quarterback. And there's some people in the building who might not not be out on Jalen Milrow and just end up taking, you know, potentially a Tyler Warren or some impactful player in the first round. Maybe they take Will Johnson. Then they take a quarterback in the second round. That's out there.
Starting point is 01:05:23 A couple of rumors there. If he ends up with Pete Carroll at the beginning of the second round, where is Debrough at on him? Chip Kelly, Pete Carroll, Vegas. Where are you at? I'd probably take him if he fell in a rookie draft. and then just look to trade him. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:05:42 I'm still not in. That's the nicest thing you've ever said about Dylan Milro, D, bro. It's fair. That's the dynasty, though. You play the value board. I don't know. I don't like them. We can trade them for, you know, better value.
Starting point is 01:05:55 Thomas Taylor, producer, definitely. I did the same thing with Bryce Young. Back to you, D, bro. This is your final selection in what has been a very, very fun three-round rookie draft, guys. I'm out of guys that I really like here. I kind of shot my shots on yarns and other guys and stuff like that. I'll go, because he can get round three capital. If he goes somewhere, I'm still worried about the testing.
Starting point is 01:06:21 We heard rumors. I'll say we. I don't know if y'all heard the same rumors about work ethic and stuff at the NFL Combine. I'll go Cam Scadabo here. But do I love it? No, it's the end of the third round. In most iterations of rookie drafts,
Starting point is 01:06:36 I'm letting somebody else draft him, but I'll take him here. I'm not familiar with that player. Who is it? Is it Scatabot or Scataboo? Which one is it? Because I've heard it said 15 different times. It's Scataboo. I mean, really at the end of the day, it's got to know, but, you know, whatever.
Starting point is 01:06:51 Who? Yeah, and I will close out, I will close out our draft here at the 312. I think there's two more tight ends that sort of stand out to me. But I'm going to go with the one that I think is going to get better NFL draft capital. younger player has some room to grow, but I think NFL teams are going to like him and he's going to be on the field the entire game. It's Mason Taylor, LSU, tight end.
Starting point is 01:07:14 Lock it up, closing it out. Let me give a quick recap of our third round. This was a lot of fun guys. Got to do this again closer to the actual NFL draft. Brett Whitefield starts out round three with Jack Betch, wide receiver or TCU. Debrough selects Jalen Royals, a wide receiver out of Utah State.
Starting point is 01:07:33 I selected Travis Hunter. at the 303, cornerback slash wide receiver out of Colorado. Brett selects Ollie Gordon running back Oklahoma State. Dbrough selects Devin Neal, running back Kansas. I select Bruchard Smith running back TCU. Brett selects Isaiah Bond, wide receiver, Texas. Dbrough selects Marcus Yarns, running back Delaware. I took Harold Fanon Jr. tight end bowling green.
Starting point is 01:07:59 Brett selects Jalen Milrow, quarterback Alabama with the 310. D-Bro selects Cam Scataboo running back, Arizona State. And I close us out with Mason Taylor, tight end LSU. D-Bro, let everybody know once again where they can find your work. Everything and all things are over, fantasy pros, boys. NFL draft show is rocking. Just had Mike Rinner on to talk running backs.
