responsibly. Hey, what's up? It's John Hansen. Week 9 is just about in the books and on the latest
Fantasy Points podcast, Brian Drake and I go around the league and a recap what happened and a lot of good
calls overall, but also a lot of things that piss us off and get us angry like the Dallas
Cowboys hiring a bunch of old heads who stink to run their coaching staff. They're dead.
Derek Henry, though, was amazing as usual. He's going to run for 3,000 yards. The Bengals
something weird there, even though Joey B throws for five touchdowns.
Jaguars, Doug Peterson, they still stink.
And speaking of stinking, even though they won, Nick Siriani stinks.
And that is sentiment echoed by Brian Drake.
So hang tight.
And here the review, it's not all negative here on the Fantasy Points podcast, and you're welcome.
All right, all across the fantasy universe, welcome in.
I hope you guys are enjoying your Monday morning.
Your coffee's good.
You had a fantasy victory.
Week 9 was what I would call John kind of a prove-it week in the NFL,
where we saw who teams really were.
There was a lot of pretenders, a lot of teams we thought were contenders.
I think we're starting to see the good and the bad shakeout.
Welcome everybody in.
It's the Fantasy Points podcast, Brian Drake, the guru, John Hanson.
Let's start out, John, with this Cowboys Falcons game.
Falcons moved to six and three with a 2721 victory over Dallas.
And for Dallas, John, Dak Prescott goes down in this game with a hamstring.
We got an AC joint injury with CD Lamb.
We'll have to follow up and see what happens there.
They've got a big game with their rival Eagles next week.
The wheels are officially off the Dallas Cowboys.
It's really bad.
And I have been looking at them as a potential bylaw.
low guy and guys like DAC and CD.
And not that I was like overly confident in it, but looking at the schedule, I'm like,
okay, here's something that could pop.
So here's a potential opportunity.
So I've talked about it and all that.
And I did this last year and it worked.
But it's a little bit of a different animal.
Last year, the offense was good for the most part.
It was pretty good.
I thought Schottenheimer and.
McCarthy did a pretty good job. This year they've regressed. They have not done anything of note.
Just an epic fail overall by the whole organization. It's like they're literally making a documentary on how not to run a team.
It's like don't be proactive on contracts, wait until the last minute and pay, overpay.
ignore the running back position
when you should have done it
nine years ago or eight years ago
when you took Zeke in the top five
that's when you should have done it
but now you picked this year
to just completely punt running back
and oh oops
running backs are more valuable this year
oh and let's hire
it's 2024
it's a completely different culture
with these young players
compared to 30 40 years
go. So let's hire a couple of old heads to run our coaching staff who by the way weren't very good
in their prime. Just an absolute epic failure on every front and you can see it showing with the players
their body language has been terrible. Dak it seemed like that contract thing kind of maybe
sucked the life out of him a little bit. You lost a little of the momentum that you had last year with
him and CD. And now it's just a downward spiral, quite frankly. So you're going to see probably,
oh, oh, got a hammy. Oh, sorry, can't go. I mean, a few more losses when they're really bad.
But they're dead. Three and five, they're done. Yeah, three and five. Start over. Blow up the whole team.
We'll see what happens if Lamb can come back and play next week. He got you eight for 47.
Turd Ferguson was their leading receiver today, seven for 71. The real story or bright spot,
I could say, John, was our guy, Uncle Rico, who got the majority of the work because Zeke
Elliott was kept home, I guess, a disciplinary action. He runs 12 times for 75 yards, and he really
saves your day catching five for 32 and a really acrobatic catching the end zone for a touchdown.
So, you know, if you started Uncle Rico, and I know I did in a super deep league in the FBI,
you know, he came through for you. Let's go to the other side. Yeah, and real quick, you know,
to my point, like, I don't know what the hell happened with Zeke, but I know this.
I mean, he's been a model citizen for half a decade at least.
He was in New England last year, despite the fact that it was ugly.
So I'm like, oh, great.
I've been giving him props on the radio and stuff.
I'm like, you know, shout out, man, you know, like he does it the right way.
Oh, oh, never mind, you know, maybe he is feeling the frustration as well.
And I really did like Ferguson quite a bit.
You did.
This week.
He came through.
it, but it's when you have this level of this function and you can just see just bad
vibes, it's hard to be projectable.
Like, it's just hard to project when it's crap.
Bejan got 75% of the snaps at running back.
He also took six of six carries, or excuse me, 10 out of 13 carries on third down from
Tyler Al Jare.
So that's a great sign for us guys who are, you know, way in on Bejohn, 19 carries, 80s,
yards also gave you a seven for 59 so great day if you're starting be jean i guess the other
you know the big story of note here john drake london goes down with an injury he scores for you
so our guy paul kelly would always say if you're going to get hurt at least do something before you do
he scores for it but we have to monitor drake london see if he comes back what'd you think of
atlanta's offense getting three tuddies from kirkie today that we were doing the live stream this
morning and i was watching espn watching uh warmups and you know me with my uh my body language so i'm like
you know what let me see here hold on looking at kirk cousins you know what kirk he's feeling it
he's feeling it today he's going to come out firing and uh graham and tom are like really did okay
uh and he did it's absolutely positively what he did uh 19 to 24 222 and three toddies i mean again
he would have if it would have been a competitive game where he throws it 35 times he's thrown for 325 slash 4 so i mean
he's he's playing well it was a real shame about drake london because i i was very high on london he was
one of my top five props felt really good about it it would have hit i mean 18 yarder what on the
first drive i believe then then the tutti uh what a shame i also did like mooney he was one on my list as uh one of my
props too.
I avoided Pitts as I tweeted
in terms of playing the prop.
I tweeted like I legitimately
forgot Kyle Pitts existed
for about 68 minutes today.
I mean like he was
complete, just a complete non-factor
in the game which may have played out a little bit
differently if Dallas put up a little bit more of a fight.
But man, Bijon looks unbelievable.
Ever since I, ever since I had him as a trade
for a month ago, I was like, you know what?
I'm worried about it a little bit, not fitting in with a blocking scheme,
but look at this damn schedule.
And so that makes it easier to be predictive when you have that going for you.
So that's why I'm always peeping out that schedule,
or especially early in the year.
And Darnell Mooney just remember this, folks.
If Drake London can't go,
Darnell Mooney is your wide receiver one in Atlanta.
This guy had a top 10 PPR week.
I mean, this guy had damn near 20 PPR points by himself.
So the Mooney breakout season is here.
And we're definitely for it on this show.
Let's see.
Let's take a quick time out.
When we come back, Lamar, just shoving it down my throat, John, with the Zay Flowers usage here.
He heard me talk and snack on Zayshadow.
I tried to warn you.
I tried to warn you a little bit about that in summer a little bit.
I did try to warn you.
I'll lick my wounds on the other side.

All right, John, we're back.
The Ravens.
Are they ever back?
4110 winners over the Denver Broncos.
This is the game I thought was going to be a little bit closer,
but as I said at the start,
who's a pretender, who's a contender?
Denver is a pretender.
Their defense, we thought was pretty good,
but listen, Bo Nicks,
Giovante, they're not going anywhere with this offense.
Give me a break.
Lamar looked every bit like the MVP that he is,
16 of 19 for 283 touchdowns through the air.
Just looking phenomenal.
Derek Henry, 100 yards and two scores and Zay Flowers.
I got, I'll say it, John.
I apologies to Zay Flowers.
If I scared anyone out there off from drafting him, my bad.
Five for 127 and two, but they're using them the right way now.
This is a three-man offense, John.
It's Flowers, it's Jackson, and it's Henry.
That's it.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, in terms of what you can maybe count on,
I'm pretty sure I had Flowers as a good play, right?
Yeah, absolutely.
He was one of my top matchups to explore.
It was a very good week, actually.
I'm very frustrated with the props because I had a couple of losses due to first
quarter injuries, and I had about five of them this week that I was just like, oh, man,
I should really go with that one, and I didn't.
And one dumb loss.
But, yeah, I did like flowers here.
I wrote it up here.
There were a lot of angles.
This is what I kind of do.
I try and it gets a little wordy, but when I am looking to make a big recommendation or a play,
let me just, are we, how many positive elements are we stacking here?
And, you know, you'll notice if you read that Hansen's hints, whenever the write-up is large,
it's usually me making about nine points.
I'm like, all right, well, you know, it's out of our hands now.
I mean, everything is pointing to this dude doing well here.
So we're going to go with that.
and it doesn't always work out
but in this case it absolutely worked out
with Zay Flowers
that was a lot of that was single high
which they run a ton
a lot of that was avoiding CERT
and
I don't know something else there
Coker did well in the matchup
it was a couple of other points there
but yeah
that's it but man Derek Henry
there's a prop I was like I should do it they'll win
you know let me do it and
you know once
again wasn't looking good but you got a for don't even don't even pay attention to the first half
if you're in on derrick henry in almost in anything just don't even watch it it's all about the
end of the game and he's absolutely murdering it he is unbelievable right now what he's doing
even more unbelievable is that i was in on derrick henry this year big time that that is
amazing because i go eight years in a row where i'm not in on this guy and then like year nine
I'm in and he's absolutely killing it.
It's unbelievable.
All about the landing spot, the culture, the location, playing with Lamar.
It was just like, it just clicked.
I'm like, oh, my God, this is.
I know a lot of people were optimistic, but some people were like,
you know, I'm like, no, no, no, this is going to work beautifully.
6.5 yards of carry right now.
He should have been an early to mid-round, first round pick in fantasy.
And people were getting him in the second, mid-second.
in 12 team league.
So I mean, there's people out there who started their drafts like,
I bet there's a zillion guys who started Sequin and Derek Henry this year.
And they're just crushing people right now.
I actually love Sequin too,
but I actually wrote in the draft plan series
in the article in the videos that the way it was lining up,
like it was a tough call if you were like at two or even three
in terms of like,
you know, like you're going to pass on CD or Tyreek.
And I stated a million times like,
you know what, I will do it.
Even though I was way more into the running backs.
Why?
Derek Henry, because I'll get in the second.
And man, imagine, well, I guess you can't imagine
because the freaking NFL ruins everything.
Too many injuries.
It's like a miracle, like one or two, three, four guys,
you know, everything works out.
It would have been a great plan except CD is.
going to die now and Tyreek's been dead. He's been like a
zombie for the most part, although he's okay today.
One last thing on this game, because I don't really care about anything
Denver did. You could burn the tape on them. It was just Sutton getting a bunch
of targets. But where does Deonti Johnson fit in with this
Baltimore offense here? They don't want to throw the ball a ton. I mean,
the law only threw the ball 19 times today in a game where they scored 41 points.
So if I'm a Deonti Johnson owner, I mean,
I don't know what I'm, I kind of want to sell him to be honest, John.
I don't think he's going to put up any numbers in this offense.
No, no, no, not at all.
Not at all because Zay is, you know, by the way, I did tweet today.
That was a hidden humble brag on my Zay Flowers tweet.
I'm like, Zay's out there looking like A-B out there.
And I'm like, that was my comp for Zay.
I don't know if anybody else had that comp, but he did look like A-B out there.
And he has, you know, a lowercase version.
And I was like, you know, maybe A, B, circa 2011.
But yeah, I mean, he is obviously entrenched expanded.
You know, I feel like Bateman is somewhat entrenched a little bit of their deep threat.
Deontre, Deonté is not a great deep threat.
You can do it.
Agilor did have that 29-year catch.
Obviously, he's going to go away.
But you just can't please everyone here.
Like, likely is dead.
I mean, even without Deonté doing anything, he doesn't catch.
a ball you know Lamar only throws it 19 times you know we got to go away from you know what's really
difficult in fantasy is there are a couple teams that are just too good I mean the the Ravens and the
lions like the lions yeah Jared Goffs what's the averaging uh 21 attempts a game like they don't
need to throw it 35 times so that that that does hurt man I lost a freaking Laporta prop today
because again I mean that's been the
problem with La Porta real quick. Volume. So now with Deontay, I think we're going to have to be
careful with Zayflowers. And we have been. You know, I've gotten it right, I don't know,
almost every time when Zay does well and when he doesn't. And that's all based on schematic. So he's
very seemingly schematic and needy or whatever. So that's good. But you can't please all these
guys. There's too many weapons. You want to talk about volume and a role.
that you can get behind.
Let's talk about Devon A-chan in Miami in a losing effort to the Buffalo Bills.
But to me, he's the story of the game for fantasy.
12 for 63 and a score on the ground, 8 for 58 and a touchdown through the air.
You'll look at overall RB numbers so far.
He's RB2 on the week with 32 points on Sunday.
In his last two games with Tua here, John, the guy's averaging just.
just a shade under 30 points a game.
It's unbelievable.
We talked about he wants to be, you know, an RB1 for the rest of the way,
league winner, all that stuff we like to throw out.
Devon A-Chane's there, baby.
It's it's there.
68% of the snaps.
He's taking a lot of stuff on third down.
They're playing him inside the 10.
He had three or four snaps.
I can't say enough how impressed I am with Devon A-chan.
Now the two is back.
Yeah, no question.
And by the way, I was not rip.
anyone for taking him I wasn't down per se it just wasn't for me and I definitely regret that
but you know a lot of its availability and all that but man yeah he's absolutely unbelievable I
did have one of his his receiving prop excuse me was one of my top five props today for a second
day I was a little worried because you got freaking moistered out there all of a sudden two for
32 but he does come through the damn allergies are getting me now um he
comes through yeah I mean tremendous you know part of this was the matchup against
Buffalo they're like an inside funnel and they you know funnel a lot of work to the
running backs in the passing game so I think we're in trending in the right direction though
this is clearly the best game too is played in this matchup didn't do much downfield you got a
nickel and dime it that that's what you have to do and it just kind of feels like
Mike McDaniel's like, hello, they're not giving any big plays.
You're going to have to be patient.
And I felt like that was the case.
You know, they got Janu involved, getting the ball to the running backs.
So the question is like, who's else on this?
What else do we have?
Rams, Raiders, Patriots, Packers, it's pretty good.
Jets, Texans are a little tough.
San Francisco, should be all right.
But I think the next month, Rams, Raiders,
There's Patriots Packers will probably be in a good place here with Tua and the Dolphins passing
attack.
Like you can actually, I don't know, you might actually be able to start Jalen Waddle with
assemblance of confidence.
Jalen Waddle today, folks, if you started him, and I knew I had a guy who owns him in
my home league here and he's texting.
He goes, is Waddle even playing?
Did he get hurt?
And he didn't have a target.
I think until the fourth quarter, then he catches a touchdown.
He has negative four yards on the day because on the final play of the game that, you know,
they're doing one of these plays you pitch it and run around.
He takes this pitch and runs like 25 yards the wrong direction and gets tackled.
That's what he's negative four yards over on the day.
Oh, boy.
For the bills.
Tua lost a lot of yards on that too.
Yeah.
The bills improved the seven and two on the day.
Josh Allen, real slow start.
I know I start Allen in a couple of leagues.
I'm like, buddy, come on here.
I know you're like Mr.
every other week.
He ends up getting you three touchdowns through the
air on the ground. Cook didn't really do anything for you.
It was Ray Davis breaking off a really long reception and scoring.
And then Mack Hollins and, you know, Morris.
I mean, you're getting fullbacks involved here.
So all the guys we wanted to get in to the game plan, John, didn't come through,
even though Shakir, Kincaid, even Cook, they all saw a lot of targets, but they just, you know,
it's just one of those games.
This is what Buffalo is.
Concade is a real bus kill.
I mean, I liked them.
I liked his chances.
He was on my list,
but he wasn't out of person that we spent a lot of time pumping up.
You know,
I mean,
that's very fair.
You know,
there's usually like tears of guys like,
yeah,
he was on my list.
Then there's the guys who were on my list and were pumping up,
like Shakir, actually.
And that's been probably the main problem for Kincade,
but I don't know, man.
This is pretty bad.
Like,
10 targets.
Guys, yeah, I know, I know.
There's got to be something else going on here.
Like they're just not doing a good job utilizing Dalton Kincaid.
I mean, this is a human being who is really probably one of the 10 most talented players in the world at his position right now, you know, in the league.
I watched a lot of this game.
And the target they do give them.
A lot of them are junk.
Their balls were like Josh Allen's way and he's throwing it.
out of the end zone and Kincaid's just kind of in the ballpark.
So I got Kincaid on a team guru, I'll tell you, with Hawkinson.
It's terrible.
I want to drop is it.
I started Hawkinson over this week.
I don't care.
Whatever Hawkinson gives me.
There's like there's no, even though Kincaid, I believe leads the bills in like Target
share, it doesn't matter because he doesn't do anything with them.
Like there's no upside with Concade.
I think it's Joe Brady.
It's got to be Brady.
I mean, not that I'm delving into the nuance that deep into the weeds,
but that was kind of the knock on them,
not really great at scheming it up for guys,
route combinations and the things like that, you know.
So that's the problem.
But man, our guy, Shakir is just Mr. Third Down conversion,
Mr. Blitz, you know, like he's the hot read.
So he continues to show and prove week after week now
that he is the only guy you can truly trust.
We'll see about Amar Cooper who was out, of course.
But they do spread it around, and that's a problem.
Yet, Shakir still is looking pretty damn good for 10 points every week, at the very least.
The New Orleans Saints are trying to actively kill Elvin Kamara.
We're going to talk about that on the other side.
It's the Fantasy Points podcast.
It's week three of Canadian tires early Black Friday sale.
These prices won't go lower this year.
Maybe too long.
Freezing.

Conditions apply, details online.
All right, everybody, we're back.
We're talking about the Saints and the Panthers.
I mean, this game should have been shown, John, only at mental facilities.
23-22, the Panthers get a win.
So I guess congratulations to the Panthers on this.
But the big story coming out of here, Chris Olive takes a brutal hit.
You know, we used to have hospital ball Heineke.
Remember him?
Dolan came up with that.
Maybe you did. I don't know. Whoever.
Yeah, no, that was a Hanson special right there.
Derek Carr is trying to get that title from Heineke.
As he got Chris Olive injured.
It looks like he's okay. He left the hospital.
He's coming home.
But, John, outside of Alave, do you see the touches that they're giving Elvin Kamara?
Oh, it's incredible.
29 carries and six receptions.
So I don't know who the backup will ever be on this team because nobody can say healthy,
but I wouldn't mind having that guy on speed dial because there's no way Kamara is staying healthy with this usage.
He might, though.
He's a different cat, man.
He's got some good-ass DNA, man.
He really does.
How many more, how many years does he have on McCaffrey?
Is it one?
Let's take a look here.
Because I'm in a Superflex Dynasty, FFPC.
the looks like one.
Yeah, they're almost like one year apart.
Camara's born in July 25th.
Oh, you know, no surprise.
He's a Leo, just like me.
Come on now.
Me too.
Leo King of the Jungle, baby.
You're Leo?
August 20th, baby.
I'm in.
Oh, wow.
Leo is August 20th, huh?
It goes like the 23rd.
I'm just in it.
Oh, wow.
Okay.
Leos are a lot of good leos.
Tom Brady is a Leo, right?
Scott Barrett, Leo.
Let's see here.
McCaffrey.
Obama.
Leo.
I like it.
You got a good team.
Remember that Howard Stern?
Remember that Howard Stern from O'A?
Obama!
That was so great.
I got to buy one of those machines so I can do drops on the air.
And we just start putting sound effects into these podcasts.
That would be a lot of fun.
I was texting with Richard Christie.
Shout out to Richard.
Because my son, Ben, who knows Richard, is like a music savant.
He's actually in a band now down here in Georgia.
He played a gig the other night with dudes who were like five years older than him.
But he loves this band, Death, that Richard Christie was in.
And he wanted to buy the main album that Richard drummed on.
And he made sure he bought it through the proper channel so Richard could get his commission.
His eight cents.
on the on the his royalties yeah yeah uh mcalfrey it why is it taking me so freaking long they're
basically a year apart okay uh in a superflex dynasty somebody offered me because i here's here's
embarrassing truth second round startup draft like two years ago uh i got i got auto drafted mcalfrey in round
too. And I almost
won 29 grand last year in this
damn league. Ironically,
because McCaffrey got hurt.
And so did Hawkinson, by the way.
But anyways, somebody
offered me about seven weeks
ago, Camara
and Steph Diggs for McCaffrey. I'm like,
done. Goodbye.
Camara's
going to have more
production from
now until
the end of their careers.
We know he's got another
two years because he just re-upped his deal exactly mcalfrey is i mean i don't know what mcalfrey is at this
point he's like a delicate genius apparently like he's like uh i can't play unless i have uh
100 percent transcendent uh health you know uh whereas a camaris just i just go out there and play
some ball eff it you know i mean obviously he gets hurt too but he also comes back
He plays her better.
I mean, Camara is teetering on Hall of Fame status, in my opinion.
Sure.
I can see that.
Hey, for the Panthers, Chuba Hubbard, you know, two more touchdowns today.
We'll see what happens next week.
They say Jonathan Brooks is going to start getting into the mix,
but you can't take Chuba Hubbard off the field.
He's just too good.
I think the coaches trust him enough.
I lost this one, John.
I'll be honest.
I love Jalen Coker this week, started him in a couple of spots, really let me down.
Two for 36 on three targets.
But Xavier Legate gets you a four for 33 and a score.
He got banged up at the end of that game.
We'll have to monitor that and see what happens here.
It's tough to trust anybody on a team as crappy as the Panthers.
Like, if you're going to win a fantasy championship, you don't want to have guys on these types of teams.
No, no, you don't.
No, I got a lot of stuff right in this game, by the way.
I loved Camara. He was one of my props. I was all in on Alave. Granted, who knows,
but a nice little 13-yarder. I feel like he would have come through. I even mentioned
Joanne Johnson if you were desperate, but I also noted that Frickin Moreau could do something.
And he scored. I liked Hubbard. And I liked Legette because the two outside corners,
Latimore and Adabo were out. Now, Jatavian Sanders, like, good luck.
you know i guess if he does this another week or two but it's like extremely unpredictable because i believe
jatavian sanders i actually was happy i didn't cut him in a league where i picked him up after last week
because you switched back to brys young and i believe he did uh didly poo uh last week if i could
freaking find it i would i would call that up right now there it is let's see uh bubba da bah and he had one grab
for seven so yeah i guess hang on to him now
and see what happens, but I mean, that's a desperation play.
I mean, it's still complete week-to-week, you know, proposition.
Let's keep it rolling here on the Fantasy Points podcast.
Drake and the Guru talking about the Bengals.
Who woke up the Bengals?
4124 win over the Raiders.
Joe Burrow throws five touchdowns on the day.
And if you were listening to me on Twitter at Drake Fantasy
or you'll listen to the show that we did preview in the week,
what did we say John pick up Mike just Sicki especially if Higgins is out because I watched their game against Eagles last week because Sicky is their he's their slot receiver you talked about how the Raiders suck against the slot put two and two together five catches a hundred yards and two touchdowns for Mike just Sicki so he was awesome and we got to talk about Chase Brown 27 carries John buck 20 on the ground also
caught five for 37 and a score.
This was just straight up bell cow usage.
79% of the snaps, 93% of the attempts.
I don't know if he's going to get this every week,
but wow, Chase Brown looked amazing.
Helps when you play the freaking radio.
Yeah, this was a great game of analysis, quite frankly.
Over for the Raiders, I freaking,
Jacoby Myers was my number one prop of the week.
Loved it.
8 for 105.
This morning, 8 for 105.
He crushed.
Didn't really love.
Bowers but he gets that late garbogge time touchdown I actually wrote in the Hanson's
hints that you know what Zamere white is if you're desperate like he might start coming on a little
bit he scores obviously the Gassiki stuff I went on Veson this morning and I just put it out
there I'm like you know what guys I said it and I'm like Gisicki uh and I also uh because in the
FPI, you know, I lost, you know, I've had some injuries.
I lost freaking Iyuk and Kirk.
I mean, that's, that's a lot.
And a 14 teamer.
And guess who picked up Gaseki, baby?
Pull him into flex against our Eddie Gardner beat his ass.
I got 153 here.
Thanks to Gaseki, baby.
And I still have somebody going.
No, I guess that's it.
Yeah, it was a pretty good week.
Wow.
Gassiki scores 27
Freaking points
Maybe I'll drop them
Maybe I'll drop them
Just to break balls
You did it too
Picked him up and started
He asked the FBI baby
Woo
I think we talked about that
I think we talked about that
Late in the week
Yeah yeah
It was so great
It was so great
Rolling in that league
I'm the first place
I started burrow
Yeah I'm six and three now
Let's go baby
Yeah I'm going seven and two
I'm each in the championship
brother we'll have a whole lot
How's Mr. Ced doing?
How's Mr.
Mr. C doing?
Oh, let me see, let's go take a look.
Let's see how he's doing right now.
I got to see this.
He's three and five.
He's going to win this week.
He's going to win.
Yeah, but he's in 10th place.
Oh, I don't spam.
So yeah, he needs to, he needs a mouth.
But he's going to get a W this week.
So shout out to our guy, Mr. C.
He's not doing very well in that draft we did in Philly, by the way, too.
Whereas I just was like, hey, give me that guy.
And you know what?
I have a really good team.
I'm not even trying.
No waivers.
I mean, I'm not killing it.
I'm five and three there too,
but I actually have a really good team here.
Even though I drafted Anthony Richardson,
I got Pollard,
Cook,
Ramandre,
I got my guy Mooney,
Lamb,
Devante,
Hawkinson.
It's pretty good.
Yeah, man.
You know,
I believe that's,
is that 14 team?
Let's take a look here.
Billy,
I think it's 12.
It's only 12.
But still, that's pretty good.
I got to say, I feel like finally a smart guy for once here.
I made a trade a couple of weeks ago in my biggest league.
I was down Ayuk.
I was down Rishi Rice.
I had one receiver left.
We start three.
It was Jamar Chase.
I traded Jamar Chase away to get George Pickens and skinny Batman.
How's that looking right now?
It's looking good because I also was mentioning on Vsen.
And I'm like, you know, they want me to give a couple bad guys who will go under.
I'm like, you know what, Chase.
I'm like, he's probably going to get 10 targets.
But I don't think he's getting to whatever it was, 82 yards.
And, oh, man, he did.
What the hell are they doing?
43 yards.
I mean, 43 yards is just absurd.
I mean, I don't, I don't have no idea.
They don't know.
Like, there's a lot of unraveling in the National Football League this year.
the Bengals, they're done.
Maybe they make a run and make their playoffs.
They're not going anywhere.
Zach Taylor isn't any good at this point.
So the organization stinks as well because they're cheap.
If Mike Jaseki's on your roster and you see that T. Higgins is back this week and he's practicing, trade Mike Jaseki.
Trade him immediately to somebody who needs to tie him.
Or yeah, or just drop.
Or you can cut him.
But here's the thing.
Here's the problem with Mike Kosicki.
Normally, when a relatively young
and athletic tight end goes for
5 slash 100 slash 2, yeah,
cling on them to like dear life.
Mike Kosicki, it's like I'll cut his ass tomorrow
and sleep like a baby. Don't care.
Oh, yeah.
Because that's Mike Kiske.
Next week, if Higgins is back,
he's going three for 16.
100%.
Stone Cold Steve Austin line.
That's what he's getting.
All right. Let's keep cruising here.
Hey, everyone thought James Winston
was like the second coming of Christ here because not me not me
hey damis is throwing well everywhere remember they did a fun social media thing for us
shout out to our guys tray and thomas who make all those amazing clips at fantasy points
but james winston today showed the NFL why he's a backup quarterback 26 for 46 235
a touchdown and three interceptions for james in a really bad 27 10
loss to the Chargers. Don't look now.
This Chargers team's not bad. God, if they had
any freaking talent on the outside,
they'd be challenging for the playoffs.
I mean, they do.
You're talking receiver?
I mean, you can do better than Quentin Johnston and
McConkey and Palmer.
But I mean, I mean, you could do better, but you could
certainly do a lot worse.
Yeah, you could have Judy and Tillman
and Elijah Moore.
Yeah.
Can, by the way, can Kylan Grandson,
Just go away.
Just leave.
Sorry.
We record this Sunday night during the NFL game.
Yeah, just stop,
Kyle and Granson.
Go away.
Open up an opportunity for someone else.
Go back to school.
Learn a trade.
Sorry.
Learn a trade.
I thought J.K. Dobbins,
another couple of touchdowns for him.
What a freaking story he's been.
Every week.
I mean, this guy's just,
he's an RB1.
for fantasy plug his ass in there they're gonna feed him it's nuts i think the key is that
it's almost like they can sense their running game with dauben slowing down because we
mentioned me honest jk yeah has jk daubbins ever truly carried the load no uh i don't even think he
got a ton of carries at ohio state certainly not a jonathan taylor like work like by the way
Jonathan Taylor looking good already here I mean he had a couple nice runs 13-yard run there
he looks really good man really good this year last last couple weeks I mean almost feels like that
they they kind of like you know what let's be proactive here and let's start opening it up a little
bit and I think that absolutely helped because this is a little bit of a struggle bus for him up
until you know the second half when they started kind of you know continued firing
and making some plays but yeah it looks good um quentin johnston i mean he is a weapon i was not a
quentin johnston person coming out i'm like i like i like receivers who can catch you know what i mean
who don't make it look like they're fighting off a ball uh but he has improved and he big dude who
moves well loved lad uh came through with a he didn't have a big game but he did hit the prop
I was into Palmer this summer and he's coming on a little bit.
He's been hurt, but that's not bad.
And Herbert's playing pretty well.
Quentin Johnston owned in just 15% of Yahoo Leagues.
I saw a few spots today when I was bopping around my leagues where he was available and picked him up.
And I had a league, the King's Classic, the big draft we do at the Hall of Fame at the Fantasy Football Expo, that's a 14 team or three flexes.
Forget about it.
Somebody dropped James Palmer, picked his ass up and started him.
Got me two for 63 in a touchdown.
Thank you very much, Mr. Palmer.
On the other side, quickly for the Browns.
Nick Chub, listen, it's a great story and everything, but he's got no juice, John.
It's 2.6 yards of carry.
Teams always behind the sticks.
You know, it is what it is for Nick Chubb.
Tillman, hey, if he started Tillman, and I told people everywhere to start him, he's a baller.
Dude's badass.
Six for 75 and a score.
Love the dude, as I've mentioned a million times, really nice.
guy, dad played in the NFL, very mature guy.
You know, you know that he's a guy that, A, knew what was up probably last year just because
his father was in the NFL and B was just biding his time, waiting for this opportunity.
And this is why I kind of talk about these guys in this way.
You know, I mentioned Jermaine Burton.
I'm like, you know what, I thought Jermaine Burton, you know, I thought Jermaine Burton, you know,
very energetic you know like but he also was a little fidgety and seemed a little angry you know
same with uh by the way uh spencer rattler he's like one of the worst interviews ever stinks uh but you know
a lot of times these guys like i'm like yeah oh man what a great dude just seems so mature you know
i'm bringing this up for a reason you know because when their number is called like will these
guys show up and my track record on this is pretty good uh and tillman and
is definitely one of the latest examples.
So it looks like Judy and Tillman are the guys that you can trust.
Fricking Elijah Moore did it again.
I know a couple of people on our live stream were looking around.
I'm like,
I don't know if I can go there.
Because I've always liked Elijah Moore too, by the way.
Not through any interviews, but he did it again.
And man, I don't know what happened to Najoku because I lost a prop there too.
And that was like, come on.
That's what that's like I should do a whole segment like the anatomy of
pick you know when you when you when everything is lined up I even checked in on his ankle injury
from uh someone close to the team in the know and they say oh he's fine it was just a a rest day on
Wednesday because he's on the injury report as an ankle good schematic matchup uh good situation
with them being you know uh was it home underdog
I thought they'd play from behind.
James threw it 46 times.
Everything was there and it just didn't hit.
So what are you going to do?
By the way, Charter's defense is legit.
For you folks out there who play leagues with DSTs,
they're a very good team.
And if they're available, they should be picked up and played.
And by the way, their corners were very stingy on the outside.
Very stingy.
That was part of it.
Not today, though.
A lot of it was garbage time, too, I'm sure.
Let's take one more time out here.
when we come back, I think the changing of the guard is complete in New York.
As Tyrone Tracy cleared concussion protocol, made it back in time to lose to the commanders
and the rookie of the year, Jaden Daniels.
But bright days are ahead for the Giants running back.
Don't go anywhere.
We'll talk about on the other side.
It's the Fantasy Points podcast.
All right, John, I was very excited to watch commanders giants.
Number one, I'm an Eagles fan.
I was hoping somehow both teams.
could lose. But number two, in several leagues, I have Jaden Daniels as my quarterback. I have
Tyrone Tracy all over the place. I wanted to see how the Giants would utilize Tracy coming off
this concussion protocol, which he cleared. And he handled 69% of the running back snaps. He was
out there on 7 of 11 third downs, three or four inside the 10. Looks like he's distancing himself
from Devin Singletary. So it looks like every week, if you can get
at 16 for 66 on the ground from Singletary.
He's going to be an RB2 every single week for fantasy.
I love to see it.
Yeah, no question.
He deserves it.
Singletary's always been a little bit of a jack here.
Let's be honest.
He gives them some hope, some juice, some upside.
You know, it is still totally week to week in terms of how, what their offense can do
that is completely dependent on, you know, the matchup and,
all that. Um, I will say I for the first time went in on Malik neighbors prop and I said,
you know, he's getting 10 targets. He got 11. Uh, he's probably catching nine or 10.
He did. Fricking 59 yards missed that by like 12 yards. So, you know, they how many yards
that Danny Dimes have at the half? Like 10, like really bad. They were running the
ballade over 100 yards rushing, I believe at the half. Yeah.
Yeah, that was another prop that I really, like, jumped out to me.
Like, you know, Danny Dimes going to run.
It was like 30 yards.
I should do it.
I'm like, ah, you know, who knows with them?
And he crushed that.
But it's just pretty pathetic, though, that, I mean, you got to give credit to D.C.
You do.
But, man, how would they turn it around like this?
They were the worst pass rush or past defense in the league a month ago, five weeks ago.
And now they're one of the best.
I mean, come on.
And neighbors can only, yeah, he definitely deserves credit.
But the Giants also deserve credit for stinking.
You know, they're talking about keeping Dayball and Shane.
I'm like, why?
I don't really see a reason.
No.
Idiotic.
Why?
It would be like keeping Syrian.
I mean, Shane, what was that guy got incriminating photos of someone in this guy?
Like, what has he ever really done?
No, the Giants need to clean house.
you're going to get a quarterback in this draft.
You know, if you're the Giants fans, who cares?
Just keep losing.
Go, you know, get a quarterback in this draft.
You're not going to work going on.
I was optimistic.
I was optimistic with Dayball.
I thought, okay, you know, because there was a moment there where,
put it this way, there's a reason Dayball didn't get his opportunity
until he was like 45.
You know what I mean?
That was a reason.
He stunk for a while there.
But I thought, oh, maybe he turned a corner.
I'm like, eh, you know, I mean, again, I'm talking out my you know what in many respects because I'm not truly studying them.
Maybe it's a lot of Josh Allen.
This is, you know, this is all.
Yeah, this is all I'm doing, though.
So I have a pretty good intuitive feeling like, you know what?
He's not bad, but he's definitely not very good.
He's just slightly above average, I think I'd say.
How did Nate Hackett get all those jobs all those years?
Well, no kidding.
You're sitting here.
Peyton Manning and you're sitting here with Aaron Rogers and hey everybody can look good.
You know, I could call the offense if Josh Allen was out there slinging it for me.
You know, it's not that hard.
It is.
You know, I've been going to the combine for 20 years observing people.
And boy, it is everyone knows everyone.
And it's just that old boys network.
You get a new ownership in.
They don't know what the hell they're doing.
They bring in football people, of course,
and it's all the same people who've been doing the rounds in the league for decades,
and they all know one another,
and then it's just that's all how it happens, you know,
like, but a lot of nepotism and cronyism.
Really weird game offensively for Washington.
They were without Brian Robinson, Jr.
They're stud running back.
He was inactive today.
He just never could really get warmed up, get his legs right.
I think he had a hamstring coming into this.
So they elevate Chris Rod,
Regis. He actually ties Austin Echler for the most carries here. John leads the team in rushing
with 52 yards. Echler does score and Jaden Daniels throws for 209 and two scores. If you start McLaren,
he comes through because he scores twice, but he only catches two balls for 19 yards.
Ertz does nothing. He goes one for five. This is a weird, wonky offense that just
spreads it around a ton. Look at all these rando guys who are getting tarreds.
targets Noah Browns, Zakias, Diami Brown, Ben Sinat.
Like, ugh.
Sanat.
Yeah, yeah.
I like McLaren's prop.
But, you know, honestly, the deeper I got into the week, I lowered McLaren and neighbors on my list.
They were only like 17th and 16th on my list because I, the closer we got, I'm like, you know, I just.
Yeah.
and probably
Frickin Noah Brown's
gonna make a play
and he did.
Of course,
McCloren scores twice,
but yeah,
McClorin's frustrating
a little bit,
but you gotta keep starting
him in season long.
I thought they would
maybe go with
freaking McNichols
because Rodriguez
has been a little pain
in the ass.
But yeah,
you're right.
I mean,
it's not a ton
to hang your hat on.
I don't know how the hell
I'm doing it,
but I'm getting
Zach Ertz right every week.
Yeah.
I was not into him
this week.
I guess I do know how I'm doing it, but I was not, I was just not feeling that.
But there are, there have been like four games this year, at least four where I'm like, man, I really love Earth.
Holy crap.
And I think he's come through every week.
And he's also crept of bed in some games where I didn't think much of them.
But I'll tell you what, Echler looks really good.
Shocking.
Like he's back.
And hopefully they can minimize his workload.
But it's a beautiful day for Echler.
I mean, he scored 17 points.
You know what else they're not doing, though?
is that they were doing really early in the season
is Jaden Daniels isn't running the ball at the goal line
like he was early in the season.
He's, they're still doing those zone reads.
You know, they're always on a shotgun,
but he's always handing off.
Like it's not him keeping it and going, you know,
around the edge for the touchdown.
Maybe he doesn't want to get hit and they're kind of telling him kids.
I think it's 100% that.
Because that was, I mean, to me, that was my own,
that was the only reason I wasn't all in on Jayden Danos.
I was, I think I was in.
He was on my list.
But, you know, it was just a guy like, yeah, I'll take him for sure.
It wasn't like, oh, my God, get this guy because I was worried about availability.
And that he took some shots early on.
And then between that and the other injury, absolutely, I would think an edict of some sort of was handed down.
Like, yeah, you know what?
Let's save the hits for the guys who we paid to be carriers of the football here.
Right.
But you know who's getting paid to carry to football is Tony Pollard in Tennessee.
guy doesn't practice all week time with a foot issue.
It comes back out, 28 carries for 128 yards for Tony Pollard.
Catches three balls for barely anything on the side.
But the Titans win, 2017, improved a 2 and 6 over the Patriots.
That's surprise the hell out of me.
I picked up Julius Chestnut.
I was ready to start him in a few spots.
But man, what the hell did this thing come with Pollard?
It's a little too early for that.
That's the problem right there.
It really is amazing because he's looked as good as he's ever looked, honestly, lately.
I think part of it, I mean, I think what's happening is they don't have a good passing game.
Their defense is pretty tough in some ways.
They've invested a bunch of resources on the O line.
they're actually talented so it's like a full commitment to it and he knows he's like hey it's
not like javante a couple years ago where i'm like i got that idiot Nate Hackett you know putting in
the third string running back rotating him in on the second series so let me i got i got to maximize
every touch you know i'm all nervous and tensed up oh oh i tore my ACL whereas pollers is like
i'm getting a rock so i'm just going to relax and let the game come
to me and when it's only four yards there, I'll get, I'll take the four. I'll go four, four,
and hope for a 14 every five or six carries, which kind of happens with Pollard, by the way.
And, you know, good on Calvin Ridley, at least, you know, I had him as I got to trade for like
three weeks ago and he's been good. Of course, last week, I was like, you know what? I've seen
enough. Sell, sell, sell. But, you know, not at all cost. He is their guy.
And they're going to get him the ball.
Yeah, he's the focal point.
Your boy, Westbrook Aquine, though.
Coming through again, baby.
Yeah, man.
Pick up.
You start singing an Akeena, Akine Matata.
You're into him.
Yeah.
Nick, don't call him Brian Westbrook Akine,
five for 50 in a touchdown.
So I'm sure he's going to be in a bunch of waiver wire columns this week.
For the Patriots, Rommandre catches a prayer touchdown to help send the game to overtime.
So he had a really nice day.
with two scores.
Drake May, if you had to start him in a deep league or a super flex,
206, a touchdown and two interceptions.
You know, and they don't have a lot of passing options.
It is what it is.
Hunter Henry, seven for 56.
Your guy, Kendrick, born to be alive, four for 41.
I thought we'd get more out of Pop Douglas.
He catches seven balls, but he only goes for 35 yards.
Yeah, no, I know.
I was another prop.
I was kicking around.
I would have won by like a freaking yard.
But that's why I didn't do it because it is a little like pulling teeth too many guys getting involved here like it's good thing that Drake May has
Open things up here for sure. I mean you know and and
Well, let me let me finish my thought and then let me talk about Drake May but yeah. I mean it's it's nice at the very least
But Kendrick Bourne as you mentioned my boy I've always loved Kendrick Bourne. Why he's good
Um, you know, it's kind of, kind of like a mooney.
It's just like he's just a lot better than people think and everyone thinks.
So I just keep bringing him up.
But that's a problem because he, again, he's good.
We, we can't really handle an environment where Henry, born, Douglas are getting a lot of it.
And then every once in a while, you're throwing a booty and all that.
But hey, the thing about Drake May, I didn't love Drake May.
didn't hate him but I didn't love him I thought he was you know a little bit of a slow processor
accuracy loses he loses it here and there but you know what here's the end of the day
it probably doesn't matter if you have elite physical tools a la Josh Allen and maybe to an
extent Jalen hurts like does it matter so at least for now I mean hopefully he doesn't get a
pounding, take a pounding, but
he is
excelling due to superior
physical tools and hey,
that entails running and that
is big for fantasy. I mean, the guy's running
he's one of the most productive running quarterback's
in a league on a per star basis. So
overall, it's pretty good stuff
on Drake May. Yeah,
and if you're the Patriots too, you get done in
also by a lot of bad coaching.
Three for 11 on third downs today.
They miss a field goal. They turn
the ball over three times. This is kind of
of a reason you guys are two and seven but who knows hey maybe you get that kid from
colorado to come play offense and defense for you next year with the number one pick oh oh
Travis hunter yeah I mean he's unbelievable he is I've actually seen him play in maybe four or five
games he is absolutely unbelievable he had a touchdown catching like we too I'm like what is he a
magician I mean it's like he had no business catching this ball very tight throw like quick quick
goal line thing.
I mean, I feel like he
put it into a force field
and caught it.
Like, that kid is truly special.
And that's what the Patriots need
is someone who's special on the outside
and can win.
And he can.
I don't know if you'd have him play offense and defense,
but we got a whole offseason.
I mean, I think you would.
Honestly, I really, I see no reason
why you wouldn't with that kid.
Because you can limit the Snapson receiver.
the last time we saw some
I'd make him a corner
I'd make him a corner
in a part-time receiver
but that's just me
sort of like a guy that we had
with Chicago Bears back in the day
who's now a Hall of Famer
Devin Hester
his bears
went down to the desert
where I didn't realize
this could happen
but it was hailing
on the football field today
in Glendale
Oh hell no
hell no
had the roof open
and they're like
oh shit it's hailing
in Glendale
So we better shut this thing.
And the first place Cardinals drop a hammer,
win by 20 over to Bears.
Again, I talked about who's a contender, who's a pretender.
The Bears are pretenders.
You know, a lot of folks are all the Bears are great.
They're back this year.
Bears.
They're not.
Caleb's got a lot of work to do.
But let's start with the Arizona Cardinals who win this game.
James Connor, every week we do this show.
Corner.
We just say, hey, James Connor gets it done.
18 carries.
A buck seven doesn't score, but, you know, he's, he's the workhorse.
This is something I want to ask you, John.
Every week I always try to game the waiver wire and pick up these backup running backs who are a snap away from being the bell cow.
So they've got Trey Benson out there, who they drafted and we like.
He had eight for 37 in a touchdown today.
I don't think if James Connor got hurt, though, that he would get the bell cow role because they also like this immemars.
Mari DiMercato kid who caught a couple of balls, and he got four for 59 and scored on a miraculous play at the end of the half.
But I don't know.
I don't think it would just be a one-man show.
Perhaps, well, I mean, if Connor missed next week and beyond, you know, I don't think Benson would step into his exact role.
So therefore, he would probably, DiMarcardo might get a little bit more.
But, you know, he's a change up only.
so you can only give him so many touches.
Good receiver.
But Benson's done all right in the passing game.
Yeah, I mean, that's a fair point, but two things can be true.
I mean, he's not going to just pick up that slack,
but on the other hand, he'll also be a needle mover
because he is getting better and better and better and better every week.
Early on the season, he looked terrible.
But lately, you know, one of my top five favorite phrases
that I use in analysis,
and only because it applied to me more than any other human being on the planet.
If you think, you stink, and he's seemingly thinking less and less,
and he is very physically talented.
Like, he moves pretty well, man.
So I would pick him up as a great stash in hope.
I've been stashed him in a number of leagues where I drafted him in, like, the 10th round.
I'm like, yeah, I'll do it.
What the hell?
James Connor is due for an injury, and he is a, like I said, big time needle mover
if Connor is out.
Because you know what?
Their old lives pretty good.
They run the ball pretty well.
If you were to just look at the box score of this Bears Cardinals game,
you would go, okay, Bears one-time possession.
They won the turnover battle, 2-0.
You know, they threw more passing yards.
Like, how did the Bears lose this game?
And how did they get blown out and lose by 20?
You look at what the Cardinals did.
They don't have a receiver, John, with more than 35 yards today.
Like, true.
This is, what a weird game.
I mean, Tray McBride comes through because he runs the ball in on a freaking end around.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, and by the way, thanks for nothing, Kyler.
Really?
You had six more rushing yards than Adam Kaplan this week.
And you had that you tied Kaplan with zero touchdowns.
And 154.
Trey McBride is like pulling teeth, you know, but only four.
targets Harrison I think dropped a what could have been a big play but another case of oh we only
throw it 20 damn times and we're spreading it around a little bit as well we're throwing it to
freaking Elijah Higgins for God's sakes so they ran the ball on the bear's throat yeah and the bears
had time of possession more than the Cardinals and I don't know not great I mean they converted
lot of third downs, but
Dinkin, Duncan,
completely rando.
I think like D'Andre Swift
is just incapable of playing
at exceptionally high level for more than
five weeks at a time.
So that was season two
has completed for D'Andre Swift.
Now we're in season three
of the 24 season,
the one when he sucks again, most likely.
And good luck figuring out the receivers.
I mean, it's an exercise in futility.
I know.
Okay, a dunzee.
Did Cole Komet retire?
Guy Gooseegnes.
Doesn't even get a target.
Not a target.
Doesn't get a target.
It's a lot of a dunzee out there now at this point.
He looks like kind of over, if you look the last like two, three weeks, he really does look sharp.
And I don't have much of dunzae on my teams, but he looks fantastic.
I was saying trade for him for a month, though, just because.
Yeah. So we'll see. The Bears kind of pretenders out there.
So we'll move on and see what they do here in week 10.
Let's take one more time out and I need a break and I got to maybe get a refresher beer here because on the other side, my head might explode, John, when we talk about the idiocy that is Nick's freaking Siriani.
Don't go anywhere, folks. Fantasy Points podcast.
All right, John. I got my Kelly Green.
It was throwback day in Philadelphia.
LaShawn McCoy goes into the Eagles Hall of Fame.
And Nick Siriani tries to be in a, I don't know, maybe a private measuring contest with old Doug Peterson on the other side who's coming back to Philly.
Because if you remember, Doug Peterson never went for it or he never kicked field goals.
He was Mr. Go for it on fourth down.
Okay.
We're going to go for two.
We're going to be smart.
We're analytics.
Blah, blah, blah.
Nick Siriani in this game, a game the Eagles dominated folks, dominated from start to finish.
Nick Siriani missed three two-point conversions, passed up going for two field goals,
and instead eschewed them for fourth downs that they missed.
And then when he finally decided to try a field goal late in the game,
opted for a 61-yard field goal that doinked off the upright.
Eagles win this game by five.
They left so many
points on the field.
The Eagles should have won this game by double digits,
John. Like, I get your six
and two, all right, and you're
in the hunt to win the division.
There's never a wrong time to do the right
thing. Nick Siriani should be
fired from the
Philadelphia Eagles today. If you're
watching this right now, Jeffrey Lurie,
fire Nick Siriani.
You're going to do it at the end of the season anyways
because he's a freaking buffoon. Just do
it right now.
He is.
Sorry.
We'll see.
I don't think they're like that, like mid-season.
You know, some ownership and, you know, decision makers just for whatever reason they
refuse to do that.
I don't know.
You know, sometimes you got to do what you got to do.
The fans, you can clearly, you know, as you know, I lived in an area for decades, just
moved from there.
I even, even before I moved dating back to.
last year you can you can clearly tell you know I always say about Eagle fans they
don't know shit about the rest of the league but they know their team they know
their team and and whether or not they know it through research or just gut feel
doesn't matter they know it and when they you as a group pan someone like their head
coach they're right and they would they are right and uh that
You're right.
Seriani will be canned here at the end of the year.
But this is yet another one of my just,
just observational things because when he was hired
and had that weird press conference,
I had all conversations with Kaplan.
I'm like, this guy's a dope.
This guy is a, he's just off.
He's a freaking goofball.
Like, this guy is not a leader of men.
He's like, you don't know what you're talking about.
I'm like, you watch.
This guy's going to be a buffoon.
And then a year later, he's freaking in a Super Bowl.
I'm like, I guess I'm the idiot.
But no, they closed show the camera on and it's literally Niagara Falls.
I'm like, that guy is off, okay?
He's on the spectrum or something.
But Eagle fans are sick of it.
I'm sick of it too.
Like, he's just, what do you do?
Nothing.
He doesn't call plays.
He just interjects himself in these situations during the game and then makes the wrong call all the time.
Look at this game, John.
The Eagles win this game by five points.
Okay.
The Eagles converted six more third downs.
They had over 200 yards more total offense.
They were out gained on the ground 237 to 60.
They had over 17 minutes more time of possession than did the Jaguars.
The Jaguars turned it over three times in this game.
Like this is the game you should have won by 40.
Kenny Pickett should have had a whole fourth quarter to himself.
Instead, you know, you need an interception.
the end zone at the end of the game to win it like oh my god a j brown goes down with an injury
to his knee we'll see how that goes oh yeah uh but this was let's see we can actually talk about the game
saquan barclay saved the philadelphia oh this is a disjointed offense that is and i'm
gonna look it up on fantasy points data this week they're so bad on second down they you know
barclay usually gets them five six yards first down whatever it is second down they're terrible they can never
gain a yard. And they're always then in third and medium. And then it's, you know,
it hurts has got to put the Superman cape on. But Sequin Barclay, 27 for a buck 59 and a
touchdown on the ground, including one of the most awesome 12-yard runs you'll ever see where
he jumped over a guy backwards. And then he catches a touchdown. So Barclay just looks great.
I'm worried they're going to wear him down, though, Guru. I'm worried because, I mean,
that's a lot of carries on the sky. If Kenny Gainwell's out there in your league, word to
the wise. Just stash him.
You know what I thought of when I saw that damn run, the backwards bunny hop, if you will, whatever?
I wonder if the Kelly Green jerseys help that because, you know, a lot of these guys are just reacting to color.
You know what I mean?
Like, I don't know.
That was just a weird, weird thought that I had.
But, you know, the Eagles are, the O-line's still pretty good.
Sequin's been amazing.
I mean,
Sequin is running better than he ever has.
I've actually never,
I was actually really not a Seekwon person.
I don't like being a big play dependent, really,
but he kind of is.
But it's getting blocked up for him better than it ever has.
But, you know, the Eagles offense,
Sequin Barkley, you know, in that regard,
yeah, sure, your O-line's blocking it well,
but you're kind of relying a little bit on, like,
elite talent which has shown all year you're relying on big plays yep big plays to a j brown and skinny
b and you're relying on hurts running it's just not healthy today was the first game in jaylyn
hertz's career he completed four or more passes of 20 plus air yards first time he's ever done that
Skinny Batman, you mentioned, who finished four for 87 in touchdown with one of the catches of the year.
I'll put that over to the Garrett Wilson catch from Thursday night, by the way.
Go back and watch the catch that Smith made.
So we're in the fourth quarter.
I'm sitting down here watching the game with my kid and my wife.
And I tell them, I go, listen, they rule out A.J. Brown.
And I say, guys, this team cannot move the football.
It's just, it's a proven fact without A.J. Brown.
The games, they don't have Brown, they struggle to move it.
You've got Heisman trophy winner, Devontas Smith over here.
This guy should have 80 yards and a touchdown from here on out in the fourth quarter.
He finishes 87 yards and a touchdown because they realize, oh, wait a minute, we've got this kid over here who's freaking amazing.
Maybe we should throw it to him.
Of course you are.
You are needing a spectacular play to get there.
You know what I mean?
Like, God forbid you matriculate the ball and rack up, you know,
you run routes and you know just compile a little bit you know
pitch and catch a little bit no not not these guys for the most part it's just boom or bust
feast or famine so again i just don't think it's healthy it's like a freaking christmas miracle
early that jehan dodson caught that 36 yarder i believe that that was his season total uh going
into this game 36 yards total on the season or close damn near that well let's talk a little bit
about the jaguars because everybody who's got one of the
these Jags running backs.
ETN or Bigsby, you know, they're sending me tweets.
Drake, who do I start?
ETN, Biggsby, which one do you go with?
Then the Jaggs get to the goal line and they're running, they're running freaking
Dearness Johnson.
They're running sneaks to Trevor Lawrence, who has two rushing touchdowns on the day.
Bigsby leads the backfield, I guess with eight carries for 22, but you can't trust
either of these guys anymore, John.
Biggsby, E.N.
They both stink.
I mean, two for six for ETIN.
The offense stinks.
I mean, I know they've had some injuries here.
Bigsby had a couple really good runs.
You may not even see it at least two.
I guess one of them was a 10-yarder,
but I mean, I fucking lost another Ingram prop by three yards.
I mean, are you kidding me?
You cannot convert 10 targets to 52 yards.
guards against you know beatable defense here no sleigh uh cooper de jean jean
whatever the hell uh you know still learning on the job and yeah five for 45 uh Brian
Thomas bank like Trevor's not very good Doug stinks I'm sorry they're terrible it's
just like what are you doing here Jacksonville and I I ripped him when they hired this I was like
really guys I know it's not going to be a dumpster fire but it's not going to be good and it's not
and like where are we going what are we doing here press taylor Doug peterson it's sad
Trevor Lawrence they're all mediocre everyone's mediocre except Brian Thomas
press taylor is the reason that Doug Peterson's not the Philadelphia coach today
Hey, it's because Doug didn't want to fire him.
So that Jeffrey Lurie and Howie Roseman were like, well, then you got to go.
So bye.
And that's how he ended up in Jacksonville.
Yeah.
And a lot of times, you know, for these coaches, priorities, like, what's the priority?
Your boy or the millions in the fan base supporting your job, basically.
Like, you should do what's right for the team and the fan base, not your.
Boy.
All right, let's move on here.
It was supposed to be the game of the day.
Detroit 2414 win over Green Bay in a rainy Lambo field.
And, you know, for Detroit, this is a game where they got out.
And really, just the Packers couldn't keep up with them because I think the injury to Jordan Love,
who threw for 273 yards.
But you could tell he really couldn't plant and get much on these throws.
There's a lot of dink and dunk underneath.
You know, yeah.
So St. Brown shows up with the Green Bay Sucks sweatshirt,
although there was no space between green and Bay,
so it was all one word, but that's the journalism.
He goes for 56 yards and a touchdown.
Other than that in the past game, forget about it.
Your guy Leporta, John, you said you lost a prop on that two for 28.
My God.
Hey, forget about it.
Hey, you thought you were good to go with Leporta.
A, forget about it.
You're done.
You know, again, it's, you know, he has a 19-yarder early in the game.
I'm like, there you go.
Good schematic matchup.
But again, it's just simple.
It's like, granted, the field, I didn't even know it was going to be that bad when I put up the prop on Friday.
And otherwise, I'm screwed.
What do I do?
Pull it.
So that was a problem.
But again, they're too good.
I was very high in Amon Ra.
I mean, I wrote that up on the site, Hanson Sins.
Amon Ra is a great matchup here, also good for Leporta and Jaden Reed.
So this was another pretty good analysis.
I thought I gave Montgomery a little bit more of a nod and the slop.
That kind of played out.
I went with his prop.
But again, man, again, they're too good.
Jared Goff can just sit back there and.
complete 18 balls you know this is like a typical line now 18 to 22 for touch what is this 1976
it's it's just i don't know man it's it's it's tough to deal with himan ross get he gets his more than
not but then again what did he do less we caught like one ball for seven uh he scored but you know
this is the problem look at this last the last week week eight and sherikov through 15
14 passes. This is ridiculous.
Playing hide the quarterback a little bit.
You've got two really good running backs and throw it when you need to.
You know, they ran between Gibbs and Montgomery.
They had 28 attempts in those two guys for well over 150 yards.
So hey, they don't need to hide the quarterback, though.
They don't really need to.
I mean, not that you want them throwing it 40 times every week, but it's just that, yeah,
at the end of the day, their identity is the running game.
Yeah.
obviously you know and it's that's too good so you've been hearing me on serious say this for
at least 15 years it's like you dummies out there what's that you just bought a team okay dummy
start it with the o line please devote two years three years to your o line then everything else
takes care of itself seemingly and next week they're going to
going to get James and Williams back.
So we'll see if he adds a little more explosive element to this past game.
For the Packers, we mentioned Jordan Love with that groin injury.
You know, he throws for 273, but no touchdowns, has a pick.
From my untrained eye, I'm no film bro here, John, but it just didn't look like he could get
anything.
He couldn't plant that leg and really spin it.
So everything was just really short, short, short, short.
you know and uh you know our guy reed goes off for 113 but after that forget about it yeah it's a tough go too
there because you got so many guys involved i mean watson had some opportunities they played a lot
of man i thought maybe he had a chance there uh but yeah it's also frustrating on that side of things
like figuring it out like uh jane reed i i i kill myself for i'm kicking myself for not going in
on this prop for the yardage and i try to get sneaky with it with a freaking rushing prop for like
three yards but I don't know what the hell I was thinking there didn't work out but he is the only
guy I did like him and wrote him up on the article make he's the only guy you can really totally trust
but I would think Jordan Rlove is shown to be a quick healer it is suspect right now for sure but got
the buy I would imagine he'll probably be you know better out of the buy basically like get that
extra week so basically doesn't have to play another game for like two weeks so that's pretty
good. All right. Let's hit that last game of the day. An overtime thriller. The Rams
walk it off against the Seahawks, 26 to 20. And it was our guy, DeMarcus Robinson, a 39-yard
pass from Maddie Stafford. And the reason that Robinson had such a nice day, he scored twice,
six for 94 in those two scores, was because Pooka Nakuha was ejected from the game for throwing a
punch. Nakua leaves after just one reception for 11 yards. So we've seen now this kind of
three-headed monster in the receiving court for the Rams. It's obviously Cooper Cup who got us for
104 yards day and 11 receptions. It's Puka. And then it's DeMarcus Robinson. So I think in fantasy,
even in a deep league, like we got to take a closer look at Robinson. Oh, I mean, it's, I mean,
it i cannot believe this guy's still in the league you know my whole running joke with ross tucker right
like ross tucker was doing uh broadcast boot camp at NFL films okay uh i'm gonna i'm gonna
call up this this year uh and so he's like hey guru you live by NFL films why don't we go have a
beer so i'm like yeah sure um he you know
we do and uh we're sitting at this bar so this was 2016 it was nine years was nine 10 years ago
whatever uh nine years ago and he was in like round five of his dynasty draft he's like hey guru
uh you know who do you like here who's available and i'm like you know i would it's between
malcolm mitchell and this demarcus robinson and um i'm like you know what i like i like more i like
Robinson. I like what I saw there. Florida, he looks like a pro, decent outside receiver.
You know, maybe he can play inside. Let's go Robinson. And then this guy did nothing for the first
two years. Nothing. And but we I would always like and then he would like score like a year for him.
Like there he is. You know, but we've had like this joke now for like six years.
I'm like, there he is.
Called it.
I mean, like, not that I, you know,
Malcolm Mitchell was probably going to do better, but he had an injury.
But like, it's just like he just won't go away.
I mean, this is a very impressive just, this is like a decade cling to a job.
He looks great.
He looks great.
Yeah, I know.
I know.
I know.
He does.
All right.
For the Seahawks.
But real quick, real quick.
how does this happen i mean you've got to be kidding me kairn williams are you kidding me seattle is
getting a run all over the week before karen destroyed the vikings much better run defense this week
can't do shit 22 carries 69 i mean it that's just it's just so frustrating when it's that
volatile uh and then seattle's volatile too man like it's
week to week. I didn't like Gino here in this spot particularly.
Three back breaking interceptions, including one that went
103 yards for a touchdown for the Rams. I mean, every pick he throws, you just
and you go like, oh my God, don't throw that ball. Don't throw that ball. And it's just right
to it like in traffic to another team like, Gina, what are you doing? Just giving away
scoring opportunities. He had two red zone interceptions today.
Yep, man, they played hard and they gave him a good game.
I liked Lockett.
I was very confident.
Like, look, he's going to do it.
He did.
Also, J.S.N.
He had a good game.
He had a big play callback.
Like, maybe they should have just traded D.K.
Just get rid of him.
Like, he's unhappy, whatever.
Doesn't seem like the new offense.
Just get rid of his ass and featured Jackson Smith and Jigba.
I wasn't even a JASN person when he came out,
but I always said, look, it's not like he's good, you know.
JSN went for a buck 80 and two touchdowns today.
He had 70 yards of receiving called back as well due to penalty.
Wow.
Holy shite.
He would have had an even bigger monster day.
Oh, just remember, folks, NFL trade deadline is Tuesday.
So as you're listening to this tomorrow.
So as there's an election day and then what we're really all watching,
watching NFL trade deadline.
Maybe D.K. K. Metcalf winds up in Pittsburgh or something.
Who knows?
So yeah, Monster.
Trade D.K. to Washington, D.C., get it?
Get it? Trade them to Washington.
Okay. All right.
Nice game for Ken Walker, 83 yards rushing.
Doesn't get in the box.
Frustrated me.
And my wife watching me go bananas.
She's like, why do you care about the Seahawks?
I go, I don't.
I care about Ken Walker scoring a freaking touchdown.
And he let me down there.
And he didn't, you know,
Free for 24 as a receiver.
You get a little better than that.
Don't get it in the box.
Love box.
We love it here on the show.
We're a big box connoisseurs.
Absolutely.
Stacking boxes.
That's the name of our new off-season podcast.
All right.
Well, on that fun note, we're going to let Guru go watch his Vikings here.
Hope you guys all enjoy the Monday nighter.
Get out and vote on Tuesday.
You know, do your civic duty.
and help everyone else out there across this great nation.
And Guru will be back to be previewing week 10.
Holy cow, where did the time go, my friend, week 10 coming up.
Can you believe it?
Happy Halloween and happy Thanksgiving as well, because that'll be like tomorrow.
Yeah, seriously.
All right, everybody.
Thanks for joining us.
We'll see you next time for the Fantasy Points podcast.
