Starting point is 00:00:00 Week three start, sit on Fantasy Football Daily here on the Fantasy Points YouTube channel. Ladies and gentlemen, we are switching up the format. We are men of the people. It has been requested that we go game by game through the slate. And so we're going to do that. We're switching it up. Two different shows. And you've got to listen carefully to the following directions.
Starting point is 00:00:30 Today, we're getting you through Thursday night football in the entire 1 p.m. slate. tomorrow we will be back with the four 4 p.m. games Sunday night football and Monday night football. So you get like 10 games today and then six games tomorrow. It's just a nice way it breaks out. Once we get to the bye weeks, this will be nice and smooth. So I wouldn't sweat it. But we did this for you, the people. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:00:56 Scott, let's just dive right in. I got a couple things a note here. And then I'll get to you and find out how you're doing. For those that are new watching this podcast, podcast. This is an awesome show. We're helping you win fantasy leagues every single day. Please subscribe to our YouTube channel. Turn notifications on. It's the best fantasy football channel on the planet. If you're new or if you've been here before. That's a little arrogant. It's not arrogant. It's confident. There's a fine line between arrogance and confidence.
Starting point is 00:01:26 And I feel like I'm straddling it pretty well. I don't know. The ringer fantasy show is a really good podcast. It is a great show. It's a great show. I don't know. I don't know that we're there yet, but maybe we're working our way there. I think if I had a different, never mind. You guys don't know what a diva Brett is behind the scenes. His freaking agent made the biggest deal over me saying Fantasy Football Daily with Scott and Brett. It's like, no, Brett always comes before Scott. I'm like, whatever you want.
Starting point is 00:02:02 Like, it doesn't mean anything to me, but apparently, this is that and you had to have only yellow skittles in your in your dressing room before the show i don't know exactly anyways if you if you're a returning subscriber that watches all of our content make sure you hit the like button make sure you reply uh tell us something you love about us tell us something you hate about us. I don't care. Just reply to the show. We're doing something special for our start sit shows. We are. We want you to leave a reply on YouTube. Not Spotify, probably not going to get to those, sorry, but on YouTube, leave a comment, your toughest start sit of the week. We're going to bless you. The Fantasy Points Fairy, Matt Donnelly himself is going
Starting point is 00:02:49 to bless you with a response and answer according to our projections, which last year, we had the most accurate projections in the industry, our DFS projections, which are actually like harder, more serious. It's like the next level up from typical, you know, high stakes, fantasy football leagues. We have the most accurate projections. And so you're going to, you're going to get an answer based on our projections. And so you can, you can make your decisions with confidence or, You could use us as a scapegoat if we're wrong, but I don't think we're going to be wrong. So yeah, just leave a comment on YouTube with your toughest start sit and we'll get an answer to you hopefully within a couple hours of that. Good stuff.
Starting point is 00:03:34 We're going to dive right in with Thursday night football. The Atlanta Falcons are traveling to the Green Bay to play the Packers. This spread, Scott, seems a little insane to me with how bad the Packers have played. it's minus 7.5 in favor of the Packers. This is a wild spread. I don't understand this line at all. I'm not saying the Falcons go into Green Bay and win the game, but Green Bay has played some sloppy ball through two weeks.
Starting point is 00:04:00 In Atlanta, at least has had a pulse on the defensive side of the ball. Scott, am I crazy or is this line just absurd? No, it's absolutely absurd. So I put this in the show sheet last night. It was seven and a half. That's what it opened at. But already it's moved to minus five. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:04:15 So clearly you're right. But even the minus five is, you know, like I'm on the stats guy and this like maybe doesn't seem all that scientific. But like the Packers are the ultimate play up or down to the level of their opponent, give or take three points of any team I've ever seen. You know, it's like typical the floor Packers like last week against the Jets, you know, they looked exactly as bad as the Jets, but plus or minus three points in the week before that as well. And so yeah, I think this Falcons team is really bad, but like you've been pointing out major concerns that you're seeing on film. This Green Bay offensive line looks like one of the bottom five worst in the league. You had that Graziano, Dan Graziano report that the Packers talked about using Tucker Kraft at one of the offensive line positions during their week two game. After four offensive linemen left the game due to injury, and already it looked, you were saying after we were saying after we.
Starting point is 00:05:15 week one it looked like a brutal offensive line for the Packers. And yeah, so I think you're right on that point. As bad as I think the Falcons are, it seems like we might be overrating the Packers just a little bit. Well, what's crazy, Scott, and the reason I think this game can be competitive is because of that trench play. Green Bay's offensive line is in shambles. They just lost her starting right tackle for the remainder of the season. Aaron Banks has already hurt. He tried to play in week two and then ended up leaving the game early they put a Donovan Jennings there at left guard and then he left the game early then they moved rookie center Yager Burton or Jagger Burton I'm not sure how we pronounced that over to
Starting point is 00:05:55 left guard the the center from Kentucky pronounced A-chan that was a good one that was a good one and they were already having a ton of pressure issues they literally cannot run the football in a in a non-josh Jacobs world and then on top of that this falcons defense has been insanely stingy against the run um fewest yards allowed on the on the ground number two in success rate allowed number two in EPA per play they've given up one explosive run through two games like super stingy on the ground and then they have the highest pressure rate in the league there you go you got to it brett yeah i was going to say the exact same thing so if you look at the falcons defense it's it's two games which means nothing and yeah these suck and
Starting point is 00:06:45 It's Matla Flore. But so they've given up the 10th most points per game. But because they've been bottom three in average starting field position allowed, it kind of implies it might be more on how bad the offense has been without Michael Pennix, who's back this week, than actually on the defense. But you look at their defense, their top 12 and EPA per play, top 12 in points per drive allowed, first in pressure rate. And we're just talking about how awful this Green Bay offensive line is.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Yeah, so maybe it's not that their defense has really been. all that bad. It's more so just that the offense has been so horrible. And now you get Michael Pennick. So it should be a little bit more confident. I mean, then again, they also just played the Steelers and the Panthers, which, you know, nothing special. But yeah, I think that's a valid concern to bring up. Yeah. On the other side of the ball, and then we'll get to some start sits. The Falcons kind of, sorry, the Packers kind of live in this cover two, cover three world. they do a lot of disguise and inversions, but they lack pressure on their own accord.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Lucas Van Ness is their top pressure player right now after Micah Parsons, Tories, A.C.L. And then they traded Rishon Gary in the offseason. So it's like, I just, when it comes down to the trench play usually is what determines the fate of the game, right? And I just think the Falcons might have the advantage on both sides of the ball. It's going to be pretty rare in game scripts.
Starting point is 00:08:09 They're going to be able to say that, and this is a game they will. So this spread is still at minus, five crazy to me. Here's the start sits. We'll go through them. Um, I want to hit the Green Bay offense side and then get your thoughts, Scott. I don't, I actually don't like Jordan Love as a start just because of what we talked about. But I do like Christian Watson as a start. I think this could be a classic skank Thursday night football game where Christian Watson has like 10-6, man. Yeah, 10-6, 17-13, something disgusting. And then Christian Watson has 100 yards and
Starting point is 00:08:40 a touchdown, but Jordan Love is like under 200 yards and only, you know, only gets the one score. I, like, I think we're kind of looking at a game script like that. I really like schematically how this works out for Watson. I don't love how it works out for golden or love, though. Not golden? You were, you were hyping golden up like crazy. It's not a golden issue. It's just schematically like, yeah, that ball is going to have to be out fast.
Starting point is 00:09:02 And Christian Watson, he's getting that heavy die of runaway opportunities, those in breakers. He's playing in the slot a ton. they're living in 12 and 13 personnel and Watson has been the slot or reduced alignment player. So anytime you're playing a pressure heavy team, those types of roles and alignments favor a guy like Christian Watson over Matthew Golden, who's going to be primarily stuck to the boundary playing in the X. Yeah, I'm trying to pull it up. Someone had a great tweet.
Starting point is 00:09:33 Yeah, so Christian Watson versus cover three and cover. for nearly four yards per route run annihilates cover three yeah and so and and this year 7.1 yards per route run so yeah but yeah it looks like a great schematic matchup for him what i'll say is like you so you're bearish on jordan loo but but chris weck the best projections guy in the world when it comes to nfl and fantasy football is really bullish he has him kb7 And I think the reason why is he's always like every single year, fringe QB6 by fantasy points per dropback, but he ranks like 30th in dropbacks per game. And this year, you're seeing them move from like bottom three and Prow to top 12. And just from a pure volume standpoint, LeFleur being able to scheme guys open as well.
Starting point is 00:10:26 Chris, very bullish on Jordan Love has him as a start. So maybe you could split the difference here between us. and love is a low-end QB-1. One thing I'll say is if you listen to last week's episode, Brett, we had like a number of disagreements with Chris, and then I brought them up to Chris on our projections call, and he was like most of them he had already moved up, but we were way higher on all those guys
Starting point is 00:10:52 than the rest of the industry. So shout out to Chris, where even if we think we disagree, we actually disagree with all of our competitors. So Jordan Love, yeah, let's split the difference between what Brett thinks and what Chris thinks. We'll call him a low-end QB-1 this week. Marshawn Lloyd, a sit. And we have them above Caleb Johnson, who's getting all the hype from, you throwing a flag on the play?
Starting point is 00:11:15 No, I was throwing them out. Get Marsa and Lloyd out of my lineup. Yeah. Sit his ass. Hey, we have them above Caleb Johnson, but it's like, this is disgusting. It's a gross three-way committee with a non-viable offensive line. Christian Watson, not just a start, but a mid-range wide receiver one. And you feel good about that. The volume is incredible. He had a 35% target share last week. It ranks top 10 and XFP and air yards and yards per route run.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Matthew Golden, I know Brett has concerns regarding the schematic matchup, but still, you know, another guy in his own right, really good volume. I'm going to say we can split the difference here. We can call him a low-end wide receiver two. but that means he's still a start. And then Tucker Kraft, his route share jumped from 48% to 75% after Jane Reed got hurt. And that's huge for him. He ranks top three among all tight ends and yards per route run over the last three seasons. The one concern here is this offensive line. And again, the Graziano quote where it's like they talked about playing him at offensive line.
Starting point is 00:12:26 It's like you're not scoring fantasy points for the tight end. though, right? Like not, it wasn't, they weren't actually thinking about that. It was just like one of those. No, he,
Starting point is 00:12:34 he reported it seriously. It's like when Dan Campbell says he thought about playing Benes Sewell at, at tight end when Sam Laporta got hurt. Like, he didn't actually think about that. I think this was real, Brett.
Starting point is 00:12:45 I think this is, it didn't happen. He had a 75% route here. He's 80 pounds lighter than the average starting offensive linemen in the NFL. Yeah, but they were down for offensive linemen and the guys who got hurt also sucked.
Starting point is 00:12:55 So these guys are even worse than them. To be fair, they were literally, one injury away from not had like they had already like because on game day usually have seven personal no no no no listen what I'm saying here yeah on any because you can only dress so many players right so it's uh is it 40 45 right 45 players dress so most team like you might carry nine to 10 offensive alignment on your active roster but you typically only dress seven or eight of them but green bay was down to their last guy they literally didn't have another
Starting point is 00:13:29 So if one of those five that finished the game ended up getting hurt, yeah, Tucker Kraft probably would have had to play some some offensive line. So that's fair. Okay. Well, on the other side of the ball, yeah, this this falcons offense was embarrassing. Now you get Michael Pennix back. And that's legitimately huge. Bejohn Robinson averages 23.4 fantasy points per game and Michael Pennick starts. Drake London even better 12 career games that Michael Pennock started averages 20.6 fantasy points. per game. That's more than Jamar Chase since the start of last year. 33% target share, 40% first read target share. He understands the assignment. This Packers offense with Mika Parsons is middle of the pack. Without Parsons, it's a bottom seven defense. So you could be a decent matchup here. So Drake London's a start, Bijan's a start. Cal Pitts is a sit. Like it's disgusting. He has one catch all year. And that's not even as bad as this next step. He has a 57% route share.
Starting point is 00:14:34 You know how many tight ends have been fantasy relevant with a route shared under 60%? None of them. So he's a sit. It looks disgusting. To make matters worse for him, the one thing the pack, the one area they're strong in is those interior coverage coverage coverage linebackers in the league. They've got Javon Bullard, Evan Bollard. William's Xavier McKinney. So they can throw a variety of looks at pits and literally just scheme him out of the game. That said, Scott, I think we're low on Drake London. I think this is the return of the king.
Starting point is 00:15:11 I think this is a massive week for him in a game script that we're already saying could hit the under pretty easily. I think the offense is going to have to flow through Drake London. Traditionally throughout his career, no matter who the quarterback is, he annihilates cover two and cover three. that's where Green Bay lives. Furthermore, when he is getting isoed up, it's going to be Brandon Sees at corner. Brandon Sees is a rookie. I love taking advantage of rookie corners early in the season.
Starting point is 00:15:43 Sees was a fine prospect, but he is not ready for that type of commitment. Kishon Nixon on the other side is a very good corner, but the Falcons are the one thing they're actually good at is moving Drake London around. They'll get him in the slot. They'll get him at the Zee's position. So I'm pretty bullish on the rest of,
Starting point is 00:15:58 return to the king here in Drake London, who has started the season quite ghastly. It's going to be a nice, nice game for him. Yeah, actually, I think your wide receiver versus cornerback point isn't, isn't really apt here, but it's another feather in London's cap. So over the last three seasons, Drake London leads all wide receivers and first downs per route run from the slot. By fantasy points per route run he ranks behind only puka nakuwa in week two he ran 57% of his routes from the slot he was under one third of his routes this is exactly what we wanted drake london in the power slot role you know move him around the line of whatever the softest matchup is ideally that's where you put drake london you love to see this so so why you're saying i'm wrong exactly what i'm saying
Starting point is 00:16:49 yeah yeah you're you're right but we're both right it's it's Listen, like it's either way, it's either he's in the slot where he's at his best, or he's up against this rookie cornerback, which is awesome as well. Bingo bingo dingo. This family is on the brink of Civil War. Mobland, the hit original series is now streaming on Paramount Plus. We are the Harrogans. Don't know than yet?
Starting point is 00:17:14 And Google us. From the underworld of Guy Ritchie. Do you want to step up the ladder? I won't combat dead. starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren. Do I have to do everything myself? You want to want! I'll give you a...
Starting point is 00:17:31 Moblad. New season is now streaming on Paramount Plus. All right, let's move on. The Los Angeles Chargers are traveling to the new High Mark Stadium in Buffalo to presumably get absolutely pantsed. The line here is minus seven. But Buffalo looks great. They look like a Super Bowl contender.
Starting point is 00:17:50 The Chargers have looked like the opposite. Well, their defense doesn't look great. Buffalo's? Yeah. Fair. That's true. Their defense really doesn't. They actually gave up quite a lot to C.J.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Stroud in week one, and then, you know, the Lions just couldn't get any stops on defense, but that offense was competitive. That said, um, bro, did the Lions, what, punted once the whole game? They, they were, they were killing it. They punted a couple times. The game, the game started 21-0, Scott. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:20 And then Jared Goff scored like 40 fantasy points. Listen, right now, only the dolphins are worse than the bills in points per drive allowed. Their bottom seven EPA per play, they've given up the second most passing fantasy points per game allowed, which is really impressive when one of those quarterbacks is C.J. Stroud and other defenses are facing Josh Allen. We have two starts here, if you go back to the last screen, and that might be like overly bullish, honestly. So the matchup's amazing. The matchup's amazing. and the charges have looked like ass. But I worry about Omerian Hampton,
Starting point is 00:19:00 who we have as a low NRB2, which based on where you drafted him isn't great. It's a good matchup, like I said, but it's a bad, you have the bills favored by seven, and Hampton has a route share under 30%. What does that mean? It means he's going to be really touchdown or bust. It means there's a really good chance
Starting point is 00:19:20 he'd get scripted out of this game, and we see more Devana A-Chann. And then Ladd-McConkie, we have a start. I think this is too high. As bullish as I am on Ladd is a buy-low. I don't know how many times I have to say that. He's a buy-low. I don't know that he's a start this week when he had a 43% snapshot
Starting point is 00:19:38 last week. He's in the flack jacket. They're scared of his taking hits. He's going to catch a Christian Benford shadow, too. Oh, is he? Yeah, he is. Well, I thought part of the benefit of being in the Tyreek Hill role is getting moved around all the time.
Starting point is 00:19:52 I need a brown paper bag. Bad. Every time I say Ladd McCocky, Tyree, Hill Roll, do a shot, or Brett needs to do a shot to calm his nerves. Yeah, no, he's going to like, yeah, they'll move him to the slot. And of course, he'll avoid that matchup when he's there. But when he is outside, does play a lot of flanker. It's going to be Christian Benford all day, every day.
Starting point is 00:20:15 So I will, I will, can I pivot, though? I actually don't think Lad is the star. I think it's a Ronda Gadsen. Yes. Thank you. I was getting there. The bills are getting hemorrhaged on in-breaking routes. You look at the Texans game, look at the Lions game, those intermediate in-breakers,
Starting point is 00:20:31 they're literally just getting gashed. They have no answer for it. That safety room is pitiful at best. The new defense isn't caught on. They have these two middle linebackers that are downhill players. They're not coverage guys, which leaves the middle of the field wide open. Gadsden's going to eat. He's going to absolutely eat.
Starting point is 00:20:47 That's his strength. He's this big slot, you know, in-breaking route maven. This is, if there's ever been a redemption story for Gads and it's that two guys get hurt, he steps into the starting lineup and he's going to shred this Buffalo defense. So I agree with you. He ran around 90% of the team's dropbacks in the fourth quarter last week after Kolar went down, after Injoku went down. They're going to be out a while.
Starting point is 00:21:11 Last year, he had four games with a route share above 75%. He averaged 16.5 fantasy points per game in those games. We've seen this before with Mike McDaniel. John O Smith was putting up mid-range wide receiver one numbers across an entire second half in which Jalen Waddle and Tyreek Hill were both healthy. That was crazy. Darren Waller had some productive games last week, fresh off of a failed rap career and a divorce. So yeah, I'm bullish on a rent. This is one of my galaxy brain plays of the week.
Starting point is 00:21:43 But to hear you kind of agree with me on this one, maybe it's just a good play. And Chris is wrong. I think I misspoke. I didn't mean to say that led's a sit by the way. I just mean I'm not as high as wide receiver 17 on him. But he's not he's not a sit for me at all. Gadsden though is a start. Just for the folks at home, our projections are great today. They're amazing Friday night and Saturday morning because we have our big long projection summit. We're going to try and bring a camera crew in there to capture some of these debates and behind the scenes. But we don't want to give too much away because we don't want our competitors knowing what gives us an edge. But we can try and give some of that away, but it's, you know, borrowing from Brett's film genius from Ryan Heath, the golden boy, his dank stats, his schematic stuff. And, you know, a meeting of the minds and us all coming out better off for it. So, yeah, projections are a little raw in comparison to how they'll look on Saturday. On the other side of this, just start them if you got them kind of thing with the bills. What's DJ Moore's health looking like right now?
Starting point is 00:22:49 That's a good question. I'm not really sure. I think Jeff Mueller is optimistic he plays, but I honestly haven't dug enough into how fully effective he might be. Can I offer one thing? If he doesn't play and you're in a deeper league and you need a flex option, I actually like Kean Coleman this week.
Starting point is 00:23:07 He looked good last week? He looked good last week, but Cam Hart, the corner on the other side that he will match up against the most, has gotten absolutely nuked. To end last season and to start this season, it's really a favorable match. If DJ Moore is playing, he's a must start.
Starting point is 00:23:24 But if he sits. Well, you have more as a must start when he, Chris has him as a flex. Correct. Yeah. Yeah, I'll be honest. I was pretty bearish on DJ Moore. Just given, uh, given his coach's history with wide receiver rotations, always kind of capping his wide receiver won at like a 66% route share.
Starting point is 00:23:47 And then I, I kind of thought he was washed. And now it's like, hey, bro, even if he is washed, it doesn't. doesn't matter. Josh Allen is just freaking Superman and incredible. And I was looking at DJ Moore's usage. It's honestly like a lot better than even how it looks because he's leading the league in in targets negated due to penalty. So he actually has three more targets than it looks like he has. So that's a that's a really high end target per route running. Bro. Josh Allen had a game where Gabe Davis, who Stink, scored 50 plus fantasy points against the chief. So he could kind of just will any of these guys. into fantasy relevance or even fantasy superstardom. So yeah, I'm with you. I think you start all of these guys every week moving forward. And if DJ Moore's a no-go, then I think in deeper leagues,
Starting point is 00:24:36 you can call up Keon Coleman if you need something. If you need a spot start, that's a good call. All right, the Carolina Panthers are traveling to Cleveland to face off with the Browns. This is a tight spread, just minus two and a half. I think you can see why. Carolina's defense has been subpar. Cleveland's defense has been mad, but
Starting point is 00:24:55 you know, anytime there's a bad defense on one side of this, I think it's going to be closer than people realize. Where are you at? We're listening. Which one's the bad defense? Carolina. Okay. And how is, how is Cleveland's defense without Schwartz without Miles Garrett?
Starting point is 00:25:12 I mean, it's been worse, for sure. They're not the same without Garrett. They're not the same without Jeff Schwarz. Jim Schwartz. Jim Schwartz. Jim Schwartz. You know, you like that? Jim shorts. but yeah they're still not they're not bad though they're still you know middle of the pack
Starting point is 00:25:28 maybe slightly above average where Carolina is just awful I I really like Quinn Sean Judkins in this spot as a bounce back guy maybe maybe this is more of a prop bet thing for me than a than a play in fantasy but you see Chris projecting him as a low end RB2 I totally agree with that Carolina you know in 2024 and we've brought this up they were historically one of the worst run defenses of all time in terms of EPA per run allowed, yards per carry, explosive run rate, pretty much every metric we look at. Well, they're on pace to have just as bad of a season this year. They gave up 290 rushing yards in week one to the Chicago Bears. They gave up over 160 last week in a game they had no business getting ran on like that against
Starting point is 00:26:10 the Atlanta Falcons when they had the positive game script they did. So I just think Judkins could have a really solid game here in a game that Vegas thinks is going to be close. game script. Cleveland's going to want to control this clock and and keep Deshaun Watson relatively clean here. I do like Judkins here a lot. Yeah. So I don't. He's averaging 2.2 yards per carry. His route share has come up. So I'll give him that target share, 14.5% up from 6% last year. That's a little incurring. But it's just like, and yeah, and like you said, the Panthers since 2024, given up the most fantasy points per game to running backs by a mile, five yards per carry to opposing running backs. It's just like, I just think there's nothing there with this
Starting point is 00:27:00 running game. And like, I've seen nothing to give me encouragement regarding Quinn Sean Judkins including his collegiate profile. But, you know, it's Chris has him as a- Did you really just cite collegiate profile here? I thought he was a bus, man. Yeah, but we're talking about like one game script, a one-off game script against the worst run-de-field. in the league you can't get on board for that I'll I'll give you low end Rby to I'll give you low end Rb too and so technically a start he's a flex but what's really and what's interesting here is we have the two wide receivers as flex plays as well even even Harold Fanon is a fringe start and so whoever would have thought
Starting point is 00:27:43 Deshawn Watson led Brown's offense could support multiple fantasy but you see it this week in this matchup yeah uh deshawn just running the offense i guess that's that's what it's doing here it just shows you how bad the panthers defense is though man it's it's it's really rough outside of j c horn they don't and devon lloyd they really have no one making plays so what i think is really interesting here brett is you see the flippening the what the flippening what's that ted mcmillan we were drafting in round five jelan koker we were in round 11 and and Chris has Jalen cocker wide receiver 18 over McMillan I talked a bit about this on yesterday's show where it's like Adam Harstead has this famous fantasy article where you know pre-draft
Starting point is 00:28:33 ADP is more predictive than in-season fantasy points per game until about week five and chris is saying no no no no this is the new reality Jalen cocker's the new wide receiver one to support his argument he leads the team in first read target share by a lot he's totally ass-mogging tetaroa macmillan who's had a negative ass in back-to-back games jayling cocker's easily top 10 so i thought that was interesting but yeah they're both mid-range to low-end wide receiver twos this week and then chuba hubbard without jonathan brooks competing only with a j dylan who is a glorified linebacker uh i think is yeah he's a he's a he's a he's a a low-end R-B-1 for sure, and those guys are all starts.
Starting point is 00:29:22 But we're not, we're not, we're not yet willing to buy into the new reality of Bryce Young being a fantasy superstar. He's, he's a sit, it's close, but he has a sit for us this week. Is he simply listed sit because he's not top 12? Yeah. Okay. Because as I say, how, how do you square the Coker McMillan start status with Young at sit, but that makes sense.
Starting point is 00:29:45 All right. Yeah, this game, honestly, is pretty straight. forward to me. But all right, let's move on to the New York Jets traveling to Detroit. This is a mentor versus apprentice game and Dan Campbell versus Aaron Glenn. The spread is minus six and a half favoring the Lions. The Lions defense has been absolutely brutal. I think that obviously means you smash Garrett Wilson's start button. I think it means you smash Adonai Mitchell start button too. The Lions have been insanely susceptible to big plays downfield. busted coverages all over the place.
Starting point is 00:30:20 Ad. Mitchell leads the NFL in air yards. And Gino Smith is a house of horrors for the Lions. I think he has three career games against the Lions where he's put up 40 plus points. That's insane, Scott. That's like, think about that. That's crazy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:39 Yeah. So obviously there's no sits on the Lions, right? You start everybody. Jameson Williams is a flex start. Everyone else is a must start. and then, you know, on the Jets side of it, what do you think? Well, yeah, I want to, I want to know how bullish should we actually be on the Jets because, like, I think this is a really interesting matchup because the Lions defense
Starting point is 00:31:01 kind of sucks. They've given up the third most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks since the start of last year. Right now, they're giving up the most to quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends this season. But the pass rush is really good. Right now they have the second best pressure rate in football. know that's Gino Smith's kryptonite. He's the most pressure sensitive quarterback in football.
Starting point is 00:31:25 I always say he's the type of guy who when he's next in line at Chipotle to give his order, he starts mumbling and stuttering. He can't get the words out. And it's, yeah. So is, is Aiden Hutchinson going to, you know, turn it into bad Geno Smith or is it just, hey, no, no, no, like even with that in mind that Detroit's secondary is just that bad. Well, the issues with George's Detroit secondary interesting because it's it's been two weeks in a row where on paper it looks like they've gotten torched, but it's like it's fixable stuff, right? It's it's communication breakdowns. They had four busted coverage against the bills that resulted in four completions for 83 yards and three touchdowns. Three of those touchdowns were busted coverages, Scott. So it's like is that predictable? Can we count on that happening? I mean, through two weeks, it seems like the answer to that is yes. In fact, we can. No Kirby Joseph, no Brian Branch. but it does make you feel like if they just fix that and the communication breakdowns, this might not be as good of a matchup as we think. That said, as a guy who watches the Lions, I don't think they're there yet.
Starting point is 00:32:31 I think it's going to take some time. I wouldn't really count on them making dramatic changes to the defense. After the byweek and I believe week five. So I'm going to go, I do think this is a great matchup for Wilson and A.D. Mitchell. I don't know about Breece Hall. The Lions traditionally in the Dan Campbell era have been great against the the run. Obviously, the wheels fell off a little bit, you know, against the bills. The lines got caught in some weird defensive looks that went for big, big runs. You know, there's like a three by one
Starting point is 00:32:58 bunch where they did a pirate stunt and a slant away from the strength. And James Cook just cut it back for, you know, 50-yard run. I just, I don't know that you can count on that either. So I think this is probably pretty stingy. Breece Hall, RB15, that was probably fine. Where are you at? I think, I think, I think breeze is a little high. I didn't like that he got vultured at the goal line last week that really kind of caps his upside Kenyon Sadiq actually I think is a little too low he still is set but Mason Taylor's out I don't know if this this tight end 27 ranking has that factored in because I put it in the show sheet last night and then Wilson versus Mitchell yeah I think they're both starts and I'd like to see them pinched in the projections
Starting point is 00:33:40 a little bit more we talked about this on yesterday's episode Mitchell actually the better role he's averaging more XFP per game than Garrett Wilson. And just a perfect, perfect stylistic fit. You know, the routes he runs best for Gino Smith. And so, yeah, I kind of like both guys as a sneaky start this week. Yeah, Gino's like whole disposition at quarterback is default aggressive, A.D. Mitchell running that intermediate and deep route tree. They're going to take a lot of shots.
Starting point is 00:34:11 And Detroit's defense has been super leaky on, you know, down the field. So I think it's a good call. I like a pinch there as well This family is on the brink of Civil War Mobland The hit original series is now streaming on Paramount Plus The other Harrogans
Starting point is 00:34:28 Don't know the land And Google us From the underworld of Guy Ritchie Do you want to step up the ladder I won't comment dead Starring Tom Hardy Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren Do I have to do everything myself
Starting point is 00:34:42 You want to want I'll give you a moblad New Season is now streaming on Paramed on class all right on the lion side of this scott i mean do we need analysis it's just start them if you got them yeah start start everyone the one thing is like we're we're dangerously into i'm effing done with james and williams territory because i am so sick of this every single year this is the year james and williams is a good breakout he looks like a completely different player and then he sucks and he's always sucked three years ago he was like whoa whoa whoa he's
Starting point is 00:35:18 always sucked, Brett. Sucked for fantasy, you mean? Yes, three years at which is three years ago, he was like the wide receiver 44 by fantasy points for game. In a year he was on steroids. The next year he was worse. The next year he is worse. But every year he's drafted as a wide receiver too.
Starting point is 00:35:37 Sam Leporta has out targeted Jameson 64 to 55 over the last 11 games together. And Leporter's role is even better this year. and I know he's a regression candidate because Jamison Williams has a 25% drop rate this year, which is embarrassing. But it's also like, why are we targeting a guy with a 25% drop rate? Because he doesn't traditionally have a 25% drop rate.
Starting point is 00:36:04 What I mean? But Amun Ra is zero. Sam Laput is zero. Ammon Ra led the NFL in drops last year. Those guys are awesome. Amunra led the NFL in drops last year. Yeah, he also ranked top three in targets. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:14 He led the end of his drop rate. And Jameson gets three per game. And his drop rate was embarrassingly high last year. So like it's a fluky stat. No one cares about drops. Literally nobody cares. So I would see the fact that he's already 25% you care when one out of in an extremely small sample.
Starting point is 00:36:33 And you keep saying he keeps getting drafted as a wide receiver two. Yeah. And he's given you wide receiver two numbers. In fact. No, he's not. Scott, the last, the last two years, he's been a wide receiver too. No. And yes, he was.
Starting point is 00:36:45 And he was like a wide receiver. points? Yeah, by fantasy points per game and total fantasy points. No, no, he was like wide receiver 13 last year. No, you have no idea what you're talking about. In 2024, he averaged 13.4 fantasy points per game. In a year, he was on PEDs. Last year, he was 12.9 fantasy points per game, but in games with Sam Leporta that dropped all the way down to 11.5. This year, he's averaging, what, three fantasy points per game? This dude stinks. I hate it. In in 2025 he was a wide receiver two. I'm looking at the data now. You caveat with a Sam Laporta stat that may or may not be true. Okay. In 2024, he was a wide receiver two as well. He was wide receiver 25 by fantasy points per game last year.
Starting point is 00:37:35 And then in games without Sam Laporta that drops to like wide receiver four. And let's see 2020. Yeah. And your filters are messed up because you're including guys that played like four games. I already know because I've already. done the research so anyways solid solid wide receiver two i get my receiver 30 and 2024 wide receiver he wasn't he wasn't but he did he was worse than jordan addison jerry judy jacobby these guys are not relevant but the hype the shine on jamison williams name is so much higher than
Starting point is 00:38:07 that which it's totally undeserved he's a fantastic football player scott listen i just i hate him and i want to hate him okay is what it is good good Good for you. That's great analysis. So you're starting Sam Laporta, though. Oh, hell yeah. Dude, I'm really bullish on Sam Laporta. Ryan Heath and I had this stat. Listen, I'm not always going to be rational.
Starting point is 00:38:30 Sometimes going to be overly emotional. And that might be what's going on with James and Warren. But it's more fun of this one. Oh, it's chosen. Chosen Caleb Barrett? CCB. So Ryan and I had this stat. that we kept talking about all offseason, which was in games, Sam Leporta hit a 75% route share.
Starting point is 00:38:53 He was better than Brock Bowers. He was better than George Kittle. He was better than anyone but Trey McBride. And now he got Trey McBride's play caller who played McBride at like a 90% route share. And we're like, yo, if he gets that, it's game over. And week one, 81% route share, week two, 91% route share. That might have been a career high. So, yeah, I really like this role for Sam Leporta.
Starting point is 00:39:16 It hurts James and Williams, but yeah, really bullish on. Have you done the deep dive on pet seeing tight ends, like beyond Arizona? No, what is that? Bro, he's like every year he's, he's been in the NFL, which is 10 seasons. His tight end has finished, I think top eight in fantasy points per game. Go back to like 20, I think 21, he had the, David and Joku breakout. When he's with the Vikings, he had the Kyle Rudolph years where Kyle Rudolph was awesome. Oh, that's sick.
Starting point is 00:39:44 Yeah. And he, he loves, he loves these guys. Do you even have the barnage year too? I think he did have the barnage year in Cleveland before the Njoku breakout. Yeah. That's crazy. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Yeah, he's literally a tight end savant. This is his thing. So I agree with you. Leporta rest of season rankings should be very high. He's, as long as he's healthy, he's going to dominate. All right, let's move on. The Houston Texans traveling to face a division opponent
Starting point is 00:40:08 in the Indianapolis Colts. Another tight one spread, just minus two and a half in favor of Houston on this side. So the home team underdog here for the Colts. I'm not going to lie to you, Scott. I don't have a good pulse on this game. I have like two takes on this game and that's it. So I'm going to let you cook.
Starting point is 00:40:28 But let's start with the Texan side of the ball here. Well, I think this Colts defense looks really, really bad. They actually ring dead last in EPA per play. They're the only team that's bottom five in success rate against the pass and the run. So this looks like a good matchup for an offense that can't really function without Nico Collins. Mick Caley has the worst wide receiver trio in the league, yet he played 11 personnel at one of the top three highest rates. Doesn't really make sense to me. The David Montgomery usage last week was pretty stupid.
Starting point is 00:41:05 So question for you. Yeah. Not to cut you off. So people are going to hear you say that. And then they're going to look at a box score and say, CJ Strzold had 353 passing yards last week. You have an explanation for that? Well, it was just a ton of volume, right?
Starting point is 00:41:19 And he had to see other touchdowns. Yeah, yeah, like 55 pass attempts for like literally 60 dropbacks plus. Yeah. So yards per attempt wasn't great. I think his completion percentage was 50 or just over 50 on the day. It was truly a horrendous day. But the box score stats looked okay. They couldn't run the football.
Starting point is 00:41:38 Just wanted to get that out there because I know people, people will get the comments. 353 yards it functioned just fine but it didn't yeah so uh david montgomery low in rb2 i think that's right dulton shultz mid-range tight end one i i honestly might be a little high i know he bawled out last week 12 catches 140 yards but um that was just one of 13 career games without nico he scored more than 11 and a half uh Xavier hutchinson role really wasn't that great and he kind of looked awful. So he's a sit, but he's also your, like the, the highest projected wide receiver on the week. On the cold side? I mean, Jonathan Taylor is just Jonathan Taylor. Of course, you're starting him.
Starting point is 00:42:25 Josh Downs, I think we're a little low on it. He's, he's a good start. He leads all wide receivers and ass. So he's separating at a really high level. Alec Pierce has hurt. Keenan Allen is looks like a slow, tight end out there. Looks like he was recently arrested for a deep, a DUI like he's playing like he's drunk looks like he has he's he's assing under the influence yeah yeah his you know it's bad when your BAC is higher than your ass yes yes so yeah i i think you're spot on here i think we're low on downs i think we're low on tyler warren when i've i've broken down the film on this houston texon's defense i see a team that's not quite as scary as they were last year no granted it's small sample two weeks in but they are
Starting point is 00:43:11 getting gashed on inbreakers. There's like four teams right now that literally can't stop a dig route or a slant or a post to save their life. The Texans have been one of them. And what do Josh Downs and Tyler Warren do? They're catching run. They run a ton of inbreakers. I think Downs should be a very comfortable wide receiver two this week. Oh, I like it. Yeah. Or, sorry, low end wide receiver two slash just premier wide receiver three for you. If you're in a start three league, down it's hard to do better than downs as your wide receiver three so one thing i heard from my sources was like the chemistry with daniel jones jones and josh downs was off um and it was like was kind of confusing the coaches but it just seemed and so like i wonder if it's yeah it's just
Starting point is 00:43:56 it's just it's just going to take some time for them to gel but like the dude like i said is separating at the highest level in the league right now he had he led the team in route route share uh had a nine targets and now no out Alec Pierce. And he's like the kind of guy where you just want to get the ball in his hands with these like screens and dump off. So I think he has a high floor. And I think the ceiling is going to come. You know what I haven't checked to see if he's playing in two wide receiver sets. Is that? He is. Yeah. That's great. Because they promise us that. So yeah. Living in the slot, right? His slot role is insane. He's like what is he? Yeah, 80% of his routes run have come from the slot. So that's that's pretty common for, for, for, for, downs. Despite that, though, by the way, his average depth of route run is actually kind of high, like 8.2 yards. That's higher than you would think for a guy who lives in the slot. In fact, I'd venture to say it's one of the higher numbers for a slot-only player. Cool. We feel good about this game? I mean, any more notes? No. No. Could be a low-scoring affair. What is the overrunner
Starting point is 00:45:03 on that game, by the way? Do you know? I could pull it up. Yeah, it's really low. It's 42. 42 and a half. Okay. Yeah, that feels about right. I'd probably even take the under on that, I think. All right, we're going to move on to another game, New England at Jackson. But before we do, we have to hear a message from our guy, Scott Barrett. If you like fantasy football, I've got great news.
Starting point is 00:45:31 Last year, our projections had the highest correlation to draft king's fantasy points in the entire fantasy football industry. Our data is better, more accurate than what NFL teams were paying six figures. With our new Data Suite 2.0, you get the level of access of NFL teams at literally one one thousandth the price. That's probably a stupid business decision from a financial perspective, but those are the decisions you make when you're chasing greatness, when you want to be nothing more than the best football site on earth. We're just a bunch of obsessive sickos who only care about football and being the best most
Starting point is 00:46:15 helpful football site on earth. If that seems up your alley, go to FantasyPoints.com and use promo code, great news for 15% off. Boom. New England is traveling to Jacksonville. And I guess preseason this matchup looked like two AFC contenders.
Starting point is 00:46:37 New England has not looked right. Although they are one and one. Jacksonville also one and one. This should be a really tight game. I think the matchup is kind of fun. You have a really good New England defense versus a really good Jacksonville offense. Then the flip side, a struggling New England offense versus a struggling
Starting point is 00:46:55 Jacksonville defense. So kind of strength on strength, weakness on weakness here. Let's start with the Patriots side of the ball. I see a lot of red here, Scott. Yeah, it's interesting. We have Drake May as a start and everyone else as a sit. Like Romeo Dobbs, I'm sitting. I'm not, I'm not starting him.
Starting point is 00:47:12 I don't have any faith in. You saw this last year with the Patriots, even when they were rolling, it was kind of like a different guy every week. Like Stefan Diggs was awesome by yard for route run and ass, but like he almost never had two good games in a row. And then with the Patriots, you have a committee in a best case scenario. I kind of think they just, you know, Ramadre was in the doghouse last week after the fumble, but I think they go back to him this week in that 6040, 70, 30 kind of split. But it's still not one you could have a ton of confidence in. And Jacksonville like sneaky, sneaky has one of the best run defenses in the league.
Starting point is 00:47:48 They're a major pass funnel. The forced defenses to air it out against them, which I guess is why Drake May is a low end QB1 here. But still, you know, he's not someone I have a ton of confidence in. What was it? Like six straight games? He's like straight up sucked. He's not seeing it, man.
Starting point is 00:48:08 It's doing the tape review on him. It's like whether it's disguise coverages or even just timing and rhythm. It's just all off. And I do wonder like, so every year we do like this off season like, hey, what's the ideal situation for the Patriots? It's oh, we got to rebuild this receiver room. Right. So we bring in AJ Brown and bring in Romeo Dobbs. We trade Kashan booty.
Starting point is 00:48:30 We never stopped to actually think, is that good for the quarterback? We let go as Stefan Diggs? It's an entirely new set of pass catchers and now your best one's hurt. It's like maybe that's not good though. It was working the way it was. maybe just add a body to the mix rather than kind of they literally gutted the whole operation and started over. It just makes you wonder like that's affecting him, right? So he's already not seeing it. He's, he's misidentifying coverages, the offensive line. He clearly doesn't trust it quite yet either.
Starting point is 00:49:02 And then he doesn't have rapport with any of these pass catchers. And to your point last year, it really was a committee approach. And he had certain, there was like all these situational advantages they had with their past catching unit. It was very much a meritocracy. And I, I, I think they're just kind of lost right now. It's not good. No, not good. That's it. So we're seeing Ramandre Stevenson projected at RB29.
Starting point is 00:49:26 You think the bounce back will be stronger than that, or are you comfortable with that? I mean, I'd rather start him over Romeo Dobbs, but he's not someone I'm all that excited to start. Okay. So in a flex spot, you would start him over Romeo Dobbs. Yeah. Yeah. The tricky thing is the Jags defense has given up a ton of big plays down the field. Jalen Wattle was annihilating them last week.
Starting point is 00:49:50 It just feels like somebody has to go make a play for this team. Maybe it doesn't happen, though. Maybe it doesn't happen. So on the Jacksonville side, a lot of green. Well, I should say some green. Our guy, Exodia, Parker Washington. How do you view this matchup for him? Hey, yo, you love to see it.
Starting point is 00:50:09 Chris Weck finally taking the L, ranking Parker, Washington as a wide receiver one. You love to see that. Brian Thomas Jr. Probably not a start to me, right? Because he's third in route share on the team, and then he's going to catch a Christian Gonzalez shadow, no? He should, yeah. That's disastrous.
Starting point is 00:50:29 This is part of what we talked about preseason with Debrough, and Debrough got clown for it. But this is a gauntlet for BTJ. It's like BTJ could be playing the best ball of his career, and it's still an uphill battle for him with these cornerback matchups the first nine weeks of the season. This is yet another one where he is going to catch a Gonzales shadow a week after he had to go toe to toe with Patrick Surtain.
Starting point is 00:50:50 And Bejel Tootin were on the fence with. I agree with Chris's projection. Ryan Heath would disagree. Ryan Heath drinking the Kool-Aid, gaslighting himself, would have him as a high-end RB2. He thinks Tutin now has the goal line role because he has two, three of the team's five. red zone carries this year. I think this is still like a gross three-way rotation and very much a hot hand situation.
Starting point is 00:51:23 So I agree with Chris and disagree with Ryan on this one. Scott, I can't ignore what I'm seeing. And it's like if they loved Basial Tutin, why is Amir Abdullah playing so much? Yeah. He's been in the league for 11 years. He hasn't had a meaningful role on a team in five years. A special teams role. Well, yeah, yeah, exactly, though.
Starting point is 00:51:44 Yeah. Right. You're telling me this guy in freaking year 12 is all of a sudden like a player. Like, come on. Right. And don't forget, C-Rod, you know, missed a ton of training camp. Yeah. Yeah, and C-Rod didn't look good against the Broncos.
Starting point is 00:51:57 I'll say that. But it could be like the Romandry-Travian thing where it's like just a hot hand. I think maybe C-Rod gets back in Liam's good graces this week. And, yeah, I don't love the Tootin thing personally. But all right, let's move on. We got Kansas City. at Miami. Patrick Mahomes, listen, he's coming off. The best game I think he's played as a passer in three plus years. I thought he was fantastic on Sunday night football. He's going against the
Starting point is 00:52:28 worst defense in the league. The spread suggests that they're going to absolutely annihilate Miami, another home team underdog. It's 11.5 is the line here. I honestly, I think the dolphins win this one. I'm just kidding. Dude, give me, give me, yeah, Chiefs, Chiefs by 27. Let's start on the Chiefs side of this. Chiefs by 27, I agree. But how, I know we haven't had the projection summit. Can we squeeze Rashi Rice and Xavier Worthy's projections together, though?
Starting point is 00:53:02 Oh, oh, baby. I think we're way out over our skis on this. Rashi getting projected as a wide receiver one here makes no sense to me. Conversely, I like Xavier Worthy as a fringe wide receiver two, high-end wide receiver three. Okay. I love never a worthy guy. Exactly, which tells you everything you need to know, right? When I watched this team, like I had to do, I had to talk Mahomes and Worthy on two different shows today on the Sirius XM show with Joe and the boys and then on John's Vizan show.
Starting point is 00:53:30 So I did a bunch of tape study and like they want this offense to go through Xavier Worthy. His target share is like 26%. It's the highest it's ever been in the NFL. He is the primary on most past concepts and they're trying to get him the ball. Miami plays this insane amount of base defense. And Xavier Worthy is the exact type of archetype that will take advantage of those linebacker matchups where it's like you can't expect those guys to cover Xavier Worthy in the short part of the field.
Starting point is 00:53:58 I think they've gotten rid of the Rashi Rice role from years past. That's now a collaborative effort. It's now that it's more of a spread. Like Xavier Worthy's running a ton of those short area routes. Travis Kelsey's doing some of it. Roshy's still doing some of it. Jalen Royals. got some run the other day too. All that to say, I think worthy is actually the receiver we want,
Starting point is 00:54:18 at least for this week. And so I'm, I'm start on worthy and I'm a little more hesitant on Rashi. Rashi's a wide receiver too still for me, but I'm not going as high as wide receiver 12. That's insane. Yeah, this is another guy that Chris needs to take the L on. But you see here, there's a ton of fantasy points up for grabs. Patrick Mahomes, the QB2 on the week. Travis Kelsey, the tight end one. and then you have Rishi as a wide receiver one and worthy as a start. Kenneth Walker as the number two running back on the week. And that's just a function of this Miami Dolphins team that I think looks like they're tanking. And like let's not forget their owner was accused by their former head coach,
Starting point is 00:55:01 Brian Flores, of trying to bribe him $100,000 per loss so they can get the first overall pick in the draft. So, like, he's credible accusations of tanking in the past. And now you have Malik Willis, the Exodia quarterback, who is one design run on the year. There is no excuse for that. Either Bobby Sloick needs to get fired ASAP or the dolphins need to be fine for tanking. And I know I'm butt hurt because this is my Exodia quarterback. And this looks like an awful call. But it's like literally the stupidest thing I've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:55:35 It's unforgivable. There's no excuse for it. And that's just on offense. On defense, they're blitzing in a top five rate. By the way, Patrick Mahomes better throughout his career against the blitz than not. And they have the lowest pressure rate, despite a top five blitz rate, the lowest pressure rate in like a decade. And then they're playing base coverage 66% of the time. Pashire Mahomes could do whatever the F he wants.
Starting point is 00:56:00 I think I think Brock Purdy last week had the highest QBR potentially ever. You know, there was like 25 plays on offense. and they just scored constantly. It's, dude, it's, so yeah, Padrema Holmes is a start. Kenneth Walker is a start. Xavier Worthy's a start. Travis Kelsey's a start. And I think it's over for Rishi Rice drafters,
Starting point is 00:56:20 but you might get bailed out here in this matchup and then sell. Make sure if there's any signs of life, you sell ASAP on Rishie Rice. That's a great call. The Miami thing is so funny. They're blitzing at like 45% of their snaps. And their pressure rate over expectation is negative 18%. It's literally like I've never seen anything like that.
Starting point is 00:56:43 So that's pretty funny. It's embarrassing. It's, it's really just like. Yeah. So on the Miami side of the ball on offense, the Malik Will's thing is crazy too, because Scott,
Starting point is 00:56:55 his average time to throw right now is 2.37. There's like one QB in the league faster than that, maybe two actually. Faster than that. That's unlike Malik, that's not what we want when we, when you made him the Exodia. quarterback, it was like, hey, this is a guy who's going to stretch plays out. He's going to go get
Starting point is 00:57:12 some with his legs. No, that offensive line's just getting absolutely bamboozled and they're having to call plays that basically mirror that fact. So a lot of quick passing concepts. And he's, he's really not trying to do much of his legs. And it's, it's a little frustrating. So definitely agree with the sit here. Devin A-chain, we're still projecting RB7 despite the efficiency just getting I love Chris Wack holding out hope here and this is what we said on the by low sell high is like you have John writing a chance off is dead you have Ryan Heath Heath writing a chance off is dead but it's like an 88% snap share a 20% target share like 99 times at 100 that yields mid range RB1 production even if it's like the worst offense in the league oh that's the other thing by the way there The dolphins are trailing on 85% of their plays, and they rank dead last in situation neutral pace of play.
Starting point is 00:58:12 Like, what the F are you doing? Like, you have to play fast and aggressive when you're just constantly getting blown out. So everything about it is stupid unless they're just outright tanking, in which case, I'd beg them to make it a little less obvious. But yeah, I'm with Chris. I don't know that he's RB7, but I think you're starting H-HN this week. And just hoping he kind of does some things in garbage time. in a game that could be over after the first quarter yeah totally agree hey guys what while you're
Starting point is 00:58:42 listening to this you know we're showing you a lot of snapshots from data suite too we have a game cards tool in there where you can literally pull up the matchup and it will tell you where the advantages are for both sides of the ball and this thing is extensive motion man if you scroll down it goes layer after layer. You'll get into play calling tendencies, personnel groupings, head-to-head matchups, all of the efficiency metrics.
Starting point is 00:59:11 It's pretty insane. They'll get into some coordinator-specific stuff. This thing is robust. And there are several broadcasters out there that we help prepare for games. And it's taken the manual labor out of the preparation, where now we have to just screenshot these pages and send them to our contact.
Starting point is 00:59:29 So pretty cool tool. Anyways, if you're not a Data Suite 2 subscriber, I strongly recommend it just for this feature. It will make you a better fantasy player. It'll make you a better DFS player, a better, better. Oh, I like that, better, better. And right now you can get 15% off Data Suite 2 with code DS2. Definitely check out Data Suite 2.
Starting point is 00:59:49 All right. Tennessee is traveling to the New York Giants. And listen, Scott, before we get to this game, I owe you an apology. I got to come clean about something. Yeah. Yesterday when we recorded the show, the news about Jackson Dart broke, and I blindsided you with it. And it derailed the rest of the show for you. You were not here. Your head was not in the game.
Starting point is 01:00:08 And so for that, I apologize. I had to put my, sometimes when you need to take a step back to find that empathy, I had to take a step back and remind myself how I would feel if that was Jared Gough on the other side of that as a Lions fan. I would have been devastated. I probably would have actually said, let's come back and record this later because that would have been a gut punch. Bro, it's like you pick up a call from your wife halfway through the show. It's like, oh, we have to put the dog down. And it's like, all right, back to Titans Giants. It's like. Yeah. So anyways, that's my apology, my, you know, olive branch.
Starting point is 01:00:40 Sorry to you, Scott. Bro, but look at this. How disrespectful and embarrassing this is for the Titans, who the Giants lose their star wide receiver, lose their star quarterback. Jack. James Winston was freaking pissing his pants the entire game, and they're still favored by two and a half. James Winston might still currently be better than Cam Ward. Yikes. Yikes is right. Yeah, Cam Ward is on the struggle bus, brother. At least the Giants appear to have a defense, right? I mean, Abdul Carter's a monster. Bro, the Giants defense right now, they rank second worst in yards per play, second worst in EP.
Starting point is 01:01:23 PA per play second worst EPA per dropback it's it's just bad all over I was trying man I was trying man I'm sorry bro I like and and I said after week one I'm like giants by low on everyone this looks incredible cam scataboo the the route chair is going to climb it did in week two by the way Jackson dart led all quarterbacks in EPA per dropback EPA per play and he it looked like he wasn't doing the kamikaze psychopath thing uh malik neighbors you know it was incredible for a guy we weren't sure was going to play week one and then jackson dart not on a play he was a psychopath it was a knee on knee he's out for the year and then malique neighbors he it's not anything to do with his legs he he picks up the xavier worthy injury i know he went back into that game but he was
Starting point is 01:02:14 full on decoy mode and if you know anything about the xavier worthy injury It's like this is going to probably plague him for the rest of the year. He might still like in a week or two just be like, no, it's a season ending. I'm going to elect to get surgery because you're scared to get hit. You're scared to like even hit the ground with an injury like this. And so it's probably over. It's probably just over. And so it's just bad and depressing and to make matters worse.
Starting point is 01:02:44 Like now giant fans have to watch a Titans game on the other side of it. I mean, it could be a good old-fashioned slot fest for two bad offenses go up against two really bad defenses. But here's the one silver lining. James Winston was absolutely awful last week. But over the last three seasons in his eight games with a snap share of at least 90%, 22.4 fantasy points per game. That's behind only Josh Allen. 232.5 catchable air yards per game. that's most by like 30.
Starting point is 01:03:20 307.4 passing yards per game. That's most by like 30. And so historically, I know it's not a horrible offense, more conservative. James has been fun and exciting and good for fantasy and good for his past catchers.
Starting point is 01:03:35 We'll see. We'll see. But, bro, I think you can, I know we have it differently, but I think you can get away with saying every single person except for Isaiah likely is a sin. He is like,
Starting point is 01:03:47 Cam Scat, as much as I love him, it looks like the Quinn-Jodkins situation, right? Where it's just a dead offense. They're going to stack the box against you. Titans are actually pretty good against the run, too. James doesn't really target running backs a whole lot historically. Malik neighbors is decoy mode or 2025 Xavier Worthy where he's scared to get a hit. You know what?
Starting point is 01:04:12 We're going to get a bunch of yolo balls from James to Malachi Fields. That's what we're going to get. Yeah. Shout out to your, your Malachi field's best ball teams, but he's, he's still not a start for us. No, we're going to need one week to see it first. For sure. The Giants have had such incredibly bad luck.
Starting point is 01:04:28 Like, if you think about who their premier players are, they're all hurt. Jackson, Andrew Thomas getting hurt before the season starts out for the season, right? That's a season-ender, right? Yeah. I mean, he's one of the better left tackles in the league. And then you lose Brian Burns this week with Jackson Dart, like neighbors on the fence. You traded Dexter Lawrence in the offseason. It's really just a string of just horrific luck where you had four or five superstar caliber
Starting point is 01:04:54 players that are all not playing anymore for the team. Right. I tweeted it out. It's like, well, like, at least with the Giants typically, like I should give up hope in like week four, but instead, you know, I just suffer for another five weeks and then I give up hope. And like this year, we just, we just ripped the Band-Aid off early. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 01:05:15 We have two more games to get through today. Let's go to Cincinnati traveling to face a division, bad blood rivalry with the Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh. Their favorite to win, Cincinnati is minus three and a half spread. Aaron Rogers has been. That's kind of close, no? Well, these games are always close. The Steelers have kind of given Joe Burrow the business, too, over the years, right?
Starting point is 01:05:38 So, like, there's that component. Actually, let's just focus Bengals offense first. Then we'll go to the Steelers side of the. the ball. I still, despite the history between these two, I do feel like you got to just start them all. I know we're saying on the fence with Burrow. I really like him here. J.P.J. is still not playing. Jalen Ramsey's completely cooked. The Steelers' identity on defense is not what it used to be. I don't even think they know who they are. Their pass-risk rotations gotten tricky. Their coverage rotations, I don't love. They're not sure what shells they want to play. Just start them if you got
Starting point is 01:06:14 him on the bingles side. Yeah, just to justify this Joe Burrow on the fence, QB12 ranking, it's, we were, we were saying Joe Burrow looks like he's now in his post-Tyriek, Patrick Mahomes' career arc, where it's just a slower-paced offense with less play volume, less pass-heavy. They could really kind of win on their defense and like their defense looks really good. And Aaron Rogers looks really bad. So, yeah, I don't know. I think we could, that's some cause for concern.
Starting point is 01:06:46 But obviously Chase Brown, Jamar Chase, T. Higgins, easy starts. Joe Burroughs probably a start if you drafted him. On the opposite side of the ball, I think we're actually a little low on Pat Friarmouth just because he's going up against the Bengals, which is like they can't cover, even with their new and improved defense, like there's still a good matchup for tight ends, right? Yeah, absolutely. Last year they were the best matchup for tight ends, like maybe ever. Spend that way for like three years.
Starting point is 01:07:13 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And Jalen Warren's a start. He actually missed practice today, but we know Rico Dattles out. I don't know that he's RB9, but like could be like the Aaron Jones situation where he now gets all the work. And then D.K. Metcalf, you know, I told you all offseason. I think he stinks.
Starting point is 01:07:32 I think this is one of the worst contracts in football. And it's been really bad. But the volume and usage has been really good. Michael Pittman's out again, looks like. So I don't know that I'd have him fringe wide receiver one, but I'd probably keep starting him. Yeah, I agree with that thing there. Just hope he connects on one or two of these deep balls he keeps getting.
Starting point is 01:07:51 Who's that? Matt Calf. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't love the wide receiver 13 projection, to be honest, but. Yeah. Like, Rogers has been one of the least accurate QBs on throws past 10 yards the last two seasons now.
Starting point is 01:08:09 And that's kind of where Metcalf is supposed to live. I know he hasn't, but it's tough because Pitman's out. The volume, I guess, could be there. Especially game script-wise. Do you think the Bengals win this easily? I mean, I do what Vegas disagrees. And I mean, like, Vegas is better than I am when it comes to, comes to that. Yeah. Yeah, I think if the game script starts to get away from the Steelers, that's where you could see D.K. make up some of it. The problem, though, is he's going to catch D.J. Turner shadow. DJ Turner's awesome.
Starting point is 01:08:38 He like DJ Turner was an eraser in fantasy football last year. Yeah. Like by far the, for fantasy purposes, he was the scariest matchup last year to get. All right. We'll bully Chris. We'll move that projection thing. Yeah, yeah. All right, we got one more game.
Starting point is 01:08:56 This is the final 1 PM slate game. It is the Seattle Seahawks traveling to Washington, D.C. to face the Washington commanders. The spread is, is favoring Seattle by seven. I don't really know a lot of what to make on the Seattle side because we have a Judarian price projected out. Emmanuel Wilson got like 20 plus carries, but like is... He had more carries last week than Kenneth Walker had in any game last year.
Starting point is 01:09:26 Does that make you just want to like throw yourself off a bridge? Yeah, dude, yeah. Do you know how much shit I got for making Kenneth Walker and Exodia? And then the second, the fantasy season ends, he just goes nuclear in the playoffs when Super Bowl MVP. Now he's like the most valuable player in all of fantasy. Who made that the city? It was a Kubiak?
Starting point is 01:09:45 I have no. Probably not because of how much work Ash and Genti is getting. I really think it's just like, yeah, they had they had Super Bowl aspirations, which was smart. And he had major injury concerns that now no one cares about. Kansas City doesn't care about. No one cares about. But yeah, man, dude, he is so much better than Zach Sharbonnet clearly. And it was a disgusting 50-50 split.
Starting point is 01:10:07 But guys, this doesn't make sense. They can't keep doing this. broke my heart. Yeah, that's a crazy stat, though. Wilson 21 carries last week. He's got to be a star. Yeah, because the commander sucks, dude. They're all.
Starting point is 01:10:22 They're so bad. Do you worry it all about George Halani, though, just coming back? No. Okay. Because he's split with Judarian. Yeah, but he is like their scat back plus. And so Wilson's the guy who's going to get all the, early down carries, which is what matters in this game.
Starting point is 01:10:42 The Seahawks should win by a touchdown or more. Okay. JSN, obviously, you're not sitting no matter what. On the commanders, oh, go ahead. Yeah, so on the commander's side, I think this could look a little surprising how much higher Terry McLaurin is than Stefan Diggs, especially because Stefan Diggs looks way better. It looks incredible, totally brutally ass-mogging Terry McLaurin,
Starting point is 01:11:03 who right now has the worst ass at his career. Stefan Diggs, one of the top asses and all. of football the the rookie by the way Antonio Williams is right behind him but like to give some credence to uh Chris Wex ranking here this is an interesting stat uh Terry McLaurin averages 3.38 yards per route run with Marcus Marriota that would rank top three with jaden Daniels it was like 207 he had a 28% target share in the second half last week with with Mariotta playing And so yeah, maybe that's Marriota's guy. Maybe I think play volume is going to come down because we've seen that.
Starting point is 01:11:46 But yeah, that's an interesting stat to at least justify this projection here. Also, I need to say it just for the technical side of it. Separation is just one element of playing the position. Terry McLaurin is good at literally every component of playing wide receiver. He's fantastic at the catch point. he's a really good ball tracker. He's good at the yak. Although the yak numbers haven't been great the last couple years,
Starting point is 01:12:14 but that's more opportunity related, I believe. So just wanted to put that out there. I do think McLaurin still got it. He doesn't look wash or anything to me on tape. Just, you know, it is what it is. That said, do you think Steph should be higher, though, than wide receiver 45? I don't know, man.
Starting point is 01:12:32 This is a tough matchup. Seahawks have the best run defensive football and then their past defense is what? best at worst. Yeah, and they torment you with disguised coverages and sim pressure looks and backup quarterback, not exactly one that would feast on that. So that's it. Any other notes in this game before we get out of here? No. Okay, guys, tomorrow we're going to be back with the second half of start sit.
