Hey man.
Nice glasses, door.
You guys look like a European rock band.
Can I wear these glasses to protect my circadian rhythm?
Am I just going to get destroyed in the comments?
You look like Carl Weezer.
I don't know who that is, but I'm already laughing.
Let's eat that.
That's my best Carl Weiser.
That's really good.
That's really good, says the guy who.
Didn't know who he was.
Who has no idea who it is.
It doesn't matter.
Ryan's voice just like went up 15 octaves.
Octaves.
I don't even know what an octave is.
That's how impressive it was.
Ryan Heath's top takeaways week three here on Fantasy Football Daily on the Fantasy
Points YouTube channel.
I am your host, Brett Whitefield with Scott Barrett.
And of course, it's Monday morning slash Sunday nights.
Or Ryan Heath is here.
we are switching up the format just a smidge.
We're going to go game by game, actually.
And, you know, Ryan puts together this amazing tweet thread every single week.
And we figured, why not just extrapolate that to every single game on the slate?
We're going to tell you everything you need to know about every game that was played today.
Before we jump into that, though, Scott, you're going to break down the run of injuries.
I know you've talked to Jeff Mueller, our guy over at fantasy points.com.
What do you got for, Scott?
Yeah, another brutal week of injuries, really brutal week.
This and for the folks at home, we want to know, yes, this is by far the worst start to a fantasy season either ever experienced.
And to make matters worse, a number of fantasy relevant, even some superstar players are hurt.
Jeff Mueller, best injury expert in the game, broke it down to me and DM.
So I'm relaying what he had to say.
first up Pooka Nakuwa.
They're going to try and get him to play next week.
But the vibes are bad.
Jeff thinks it's a sports hernia.
So he's going to try and avoid surgery.
But if it's unavoidable, he's out six to eight weeks.
That's how long the surgery is.
Devon A-chan, probably an ACL, probably season ending.
So Jalen Wright, Ali Gordon, probably Ollie Gordon.
A lot of fab dollars are going to get spent on them.
this week. Brees Hall, probably a grade two quad strain. He's likely out three to six weeks.
Braylon Allen got a ton of the work in relief. So another guy, if he's available on waivers,
a lot of fad dollars being spent on him, probably even more so than the Miami guys. Jalen Coker,
this is probably a grade two quad strain, something he's dealt with quite a bit throughout his career.
he's likely out three to six weeks.
Xavier Hutchinson could be a clavicle fracture or an AC joint sprain.
We'll find out soon.
Garrett Wilson, it was a concussion check, but he's fine.
Justin Jefferson, it was a high ankle sprain.
He's going to be out multiple weeks.
He could even be on IRP.
If Jeff had to guess, he'd say three to four weeks.
Mike Evans, his best guess was a rib cartilage injury.
Could be multiple weeks, but probably not.
Baker Mayfield, this was a dislocated thumb.
And so the big question here, was this a clean dislocation?
If no damage, knowing how aggressive Tampa Bay's training staff is, how much of a warrior Baker is, could only be out one to two weeks, depending on grip ability.
If not, surgery, three to four weeks, if it's a small cleanup, it's a ligament repair, five to eight weeks.
Bucky Irving suffered some mysterious injury.
We don't really know what it was, how severe it is, or even when it happened.
But I think he missed most of the fourth quarter.
We'll find out more tomorrow.
Travis A. Chan suffered a hamstring injury.
He's going to be out two to three weeks at a minimum.
This is likely a re-injury.
Jack Betch, forearm fracture, out four to six weeks.
Jaylon McMillan, left knee re-injury, probably gets.
shut down, put on IR. Terrence Ferguson and Kobe Parkinson both got hurt and came back into the
game that's being played now as we're talking. And yeah, my goodness, what another brutal,
brutal week for injuries. You know what's interesting about all that? What's that? Not one of those
players you mentioned played in the Rio de Janeiro game in Brazil where people were winging about
the field all week. That's true. That's true. But what about the electrical substation?
I heard every single one of these I heard every single one of these players lives in a house or an apartment with a Wi-Fi which is like a mini electrical substation so that can't be good yes and you've now joined conspiracy theory hour over at fantasy points.com all right let's get this started game by game we're going to start with the chargers at buffalo game where Justin Herbert became just the first
QB in NFL history to lose a football game when the opposite team had five
turnovers first QB to do it twice sorry first you be to do it twice ever I was
gonna say are you sure Brett because I feel like no one Justin Herbert it might
have been multiple times but yeah wow ironically it's happened three times in
NFL history and all three were the Chargers that lost and Herbert was the
quarterback twice so he's the first QB to do it twice which is crazy I just I
I just, I love the narratives here with if boy.
But yeah, Ryan, you have some interesting stuff on Hampton, Amory and Hampton, that is.
Where are you at there?
Yeah, I am even more negative on Omari and Hampton than I had been feeling over the past couple of weeks.
I had him as a sell in the Everything report last week telling subscribers to trade down to somebody like Bucky Irving or just to trade for a wide receiver, do something to get Omari and Hampton off your roster.
and I don't think I was even aggressive enough looking back on it because this is now a legitimately three-way split backfield.
Over the first couple of weeks, we hadn't seen Kimani Vidal get involved much at all.
That changed this week.
He saw a season high, 17 snaps, four touches, and Omaran Hampton had run fewer routes than all three of the names you see on screen here.
Keaton Mitchell, Kimani Vidal, and even Alec Ingle, the full full.
back ran more routes than Omari and Hampton did today. I had a stat last week talking about how
basically only Derek Henry and one Nick Chubb season we've ever seen a running back finish as a
fantasy RB1 when they've been below like a 35% route share. Hampton is well below that. He's even
further below it now. He's just not involved in the passing game. He's not having that sort of three down
Belcow Workhorse role that we all thought we were signing up for. Clearly, Mike McDaniel is trying
different things at this point. Keaton Mitchell scored on a short third and goal reception after Hampton
got stuffed a couple times. Yeah, it's just really awful vibes all around for Omerian Hampton right now.
Yeah, only 42% of the snaps, which is awful. And then again, it ties back to Brett's concerns
heading into the season that maybe Omerian Hampton's not a good fit for this offense, this
Mike McDaniel run scheme, 3.7 yards per carry versus Keith Mitchell's 6.5 yards per carry.
But the buried lead here is just like how disastrous the Chargers offense is as a whole.
The one the turnover margin by four, the outgain their opponent, and they still lost by multiple
possessions.
Absolutely insane.
But yeah, the offense sucked.
Justin Herbert sucked again.
And what's crazy is this is the softest matchup.
They're going to get until Christmas.
So Buffalo's defense is not good.
Here's their next few opponents.
You ready?
The Seattle Seahawks, the Denver Broncos, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Los Angeles Rams,
the Houston Texans.
You're joking.
That's insane.
Ravens.
And let's not forget they're 0 and 3.
And so now you're looking at how many teams did I just list off 6?
Are they going to go 0.9?
or they're going to draft a quarterback next year?
They won't lose all those games,
but they're definitely going to lose a lot of them.
That is crazy.
I wanted to hit Arronday Gadsden really quick
before we jump over to the Buffalo side of the ball,
just because I did open my big fat mouth on start sit
and say he was a start just because Buffalo had been hemorrhaging yards,
the tight ends through two weeks.
And yeah, I was wrong.
Apparently they hate this guy.
Like, they played 21 personnel,
so they put a fullback on the field.
on like 35% of their snaps today.
Alec Ingle played over 33 snaps in this game.
And when he was on the field, the tight end with him wasn't Arronday Gadsden very often.
It was Hayden Rucci, who nobody knows.
He played in Detroit last year on the practice squad.
And they rather go with a sixth offensive lineman than Arronday Gadsen on normal downs.
First and second down, it was a sixth offensive lineman.
That's how out on Arrondi Gadsen is.
They are.
Oh, well, they didn't need, you know, another.
capable pass catcher clearly because they have
Trey Harris and Quentin Johnston.
He did have a wicked drop in this game that obviously
pissed them off to the point where they rather
go with the sixth offensive lineman and Hayden Rucci
over Arunda Gats and who should be one of their better
you know, one v. one mismatch options in the past game.
I don't, I have no words for what I saw from that offense today.
It was disgusting.
Ryan, do you, did you have any notes on Gatson in your, your sheet?
I don't have any words either on it.
Yeah, that was all I really noticed, yeah, was the awful drop.
And yeah, then just curtains basically.
Just, yeah, as you said, you would think that they would want to try to get one of their only good pass catching options going.
But I guess they would rather, they would rather lose like this than win with Irondi Gadsden.
Disgusting.
On the other side of the ball, we had DJ Moore with, I guess, an eye opening week again.
DJ Moore was a guy I was really excited about this season.
But I know you two weren't where we at here?
So DJ Moore saw his highest target share in any game dating back to week 13 of 2024 over 38% of the targets if you just X out week two because he left early with an injury didn't play for most of the second half of that game just look at weeks one and three he's out targeted Dalton Kincaid the the guy that we've been so excited about saying he's a top five fantasy tight end wrestling
the season. He looks amazing. More has out-targeted Kincaid 17 to 9 in those two games that he's played
fully. It's just he's the clearly leading receiver in a Josh Allen offense. He's getting
downfield usage. Scott, I know, has a stat about his air yards and plays negated due to the penalty
that can make some of this look even crazier. He was at a 26% target per route run rate,
including negated plays going into this week. I'm sure it's even higher.
now. Yeah, he just looks really awesome. Yeah, it's amazing usage that I did not expect for DJ Moore.
Yeah, I feel the same way that Ryan, where I was a skeptic, but now I'm buying into it because
this usage is great. So it wasn't the most productive outing for M6 for 67, but 10 targets with a
ton of air yards. Yeah, to me, this looks like the old Ken Dorsey, Stefan Diggs role. And maybe
DJ Moore is like, you know, not quite the same level.
of talent. Maybe he's like honestly a little washed. I don't know how much it matters when you have like a
way more aggressive offense than last years. And you have Josh Allen, the best quarterback in football,
who by the way, he kind of sucked in this game. Yeah, he still had over 20 fantasy points. So he's just
such an absolute cheat code. And yeah, DJ Moore looks like the clear number one. So yeah,
he's going to be in our bi-low category on Wednesday, Brett.
What about Dalton Kincaid?
I know it's a little bit of a disappointing outing here, right, just the three targets.
I feel like do we give them some grace because of game script here?
The four turnovers, they did not get into a rhythm on offense at all until really late in the second half.
Really low play count, you know, there wasn't many opportunities.
I think Alan had less than 30 pass attempts in this game.
So how are we feeling about Kincaid moving forward?
Well, that's the thing.
Yeah, I'd love to know the Snap share and the route share because, you know,
This was a game James Cook, 24 carries, 154 yards.
I'm guessing it was lower than it's been these past few weeks.
But we'll see.
I think he was on the field for all of their pass snaps.
Was he not, Ryan?
Oh, wow.
I didn't look, but that sounds right.
Yeah.
Yeah, it wasn't all of them, but it was close.
So that's a good thing.
Let's move on.
His like 10.7 yards for route runs going to come down then.
Yeah.
Spotify advertising connects you with an audience that's engaged and ready to discover your brand.
Launch a campaign with Spotify Ads Manager.
Carolina went to Cleveland and lost the Cleveland Brown's defense.
Really impressed me in this game.
Ryan, you had an insane stat on Casey Concepcion.
I know it's not amounting to a whole lot of production yet, but this stat is nuts.
Yeah.
So today, Concepcion was up at a 29% target share.
He was tied with Harold Fanon for the highest on the team.
And then if you look at every rookie wide receiver since 2021, as far back as Fantasy
Points data goes, and you just look at their target shares from weeks one through week
three of their rookie season, Concepcion ranks eighth best on this absolutely awesome list
of names.
Marvin Harrison, the only bust on this list.
everybody else has gone on to be very, very fantasy relevant. So yeah, I just think even though the
production hasn't really come, and I'd be curious, Brett, in terms of how many of these targets
were just inaccurate, was Concepcion making mistakes on them. But just seeing the role for Concepcion
through three weeks is really encouraging. It's going to amount to fantasy production at some point,
maybe even at some point this year. DeShan kind of stunk today. That was the big thing. Like, it was,
it was rough. If you wanted to know if the Panthers were fraudulent at all, this is a really
good test for them because like Watson sucked. The Browns really couldn't run the ball for most
of the game, yet they still beat the Panthers. So it's definitely a little bit alarming for the
on the Panthers side of it. I will say though for Bryce Young's sake, like go ahead, Scott.
Yeah, yeah. So just on Casey Concepcion, I had a cheeky tweet and reply to Ryan's tweet. He's
averaging 4.0 yards per target on the season. That's like one of the worst marks ever.
And then today he had nine yards on nine targets. So 1.0 yard per target average. So he got
brutally yard per target mobbed by Debo Samuel who had an infinity yard per target average today.
And so yeah, like I was really bullish on Casey. That was a flag plant for me, certainly on
in FFPC drafts. But I, I, I, I,
I've come around. I think I'm, I might be more bullish on Denzel Boston, even though Boston
had, you know, five fewer targets today. It just, I worry that Casey's role in the short area
really caps his ceiling, but is also redundant to Harold Fanon, who had a big game today with
seven catches, 51 yards, two touchdowns. I know you were high on both, Brett, and you were saying,
you know, Harold Fanon's one of the best yak guys in the league. Kind of makes me think, like,
maybe he's better suited for that role.
What do you think on that, Brett, before he moved to the Carolina side?
What do I think on Boston versus KCC?
Yeah, because I know you were on both.
Yeah, they were my number two, number three receiver in this class.
I love them both.
And I like them landing together because they're very complimentary of each other.
So far through three weeks, Boston has the better, like I like his route distribution
more for creating fantasy points long term.
KCC's getting a lot of like Paw Patrol type stuff.
Although it did start to change today.
I thought Casey, his Ada, I'm pretty sure, was the highest it's been all season for sure.
So, yeah, I mean, nine targets, though.
It's, you know, some of them were short stuff.
But he had some intermediate and deep looks as well.
Just Deshawn literally couldn't hit the broadside of a barn today.
So I was going to move over to Bryce Young because I think the fantasy production is going to stick, guys.
Like he had freaking 51 dropbacks or 50.
35 dropbacks in this game or something like that again.
Like it's, it's absurd.
So that's like one of the biggest takeaways from this week for me is.
So we were talking about the 2026 or like this year's 20, 25 bangles or 2025
Cowboys.
Well, the 2026 Carolina Panthers are also this year's version of the 2026 New Orleans Saints.
48 pass attempts for Bryce Young plus 23 carries for.
the running backs. Dude, Brad Idzig is awesome. Like Dave Canales was always one of the most fantasy-friendly
offensive play callers. I think Brad Idzig is like exponentially more awesome for fantasy.
The stat I had, I pulled it up. I know you already had this stat in last week's Everything
Report, Ryan, was they went from bottom three in P-Roe last year to top three in P-Row this year.
Another one, though, they were third worst in situation neutral pace of play last year. Now there's
heading into this week, they were second best behind only the Saints.
And like, one must think that had to have come up.
The top three offenses by total play volume this week, the Cardinals, the Panthers, and the Saints.
They do not have, you know, talent on par with the Cowboys or the Bengals.
But if they keep it up with this pace of play and play volume, this is going to be an absolute fantasy cheat code.
And yeah, the Panthers defense does not look good.
DeShon Watson played awful.
and still they put up a bunch of points on the board.
Bryce Young right now is either three dropbacks or three pass attempts
away from leading the league in either stat.
They used to really play keep away with him.
They really tried to hide him, and now they're letting him ball out.
And so I should be theoretically, by the way,
and Chuba Hubbard is awesome too.
Even with this super high P-Row,
he's finished as a fantasy RB1 every single week this season.
And so he's awesome.
He's back to the Dave Canales, Bell Cow Roll.
But what the heck is going on with Ted McMillan, Brett?
Because I should be all in on Ted McMillan.
He should be, you know, winning people, you know, fantasy.
They're weeks every single week because like my whole concern.
I'm like, I know this guy's good and talented.
The concern is, you know, Bryce Young, they just don't let him throw it.
But now they are.
And Jalen Coker is staring at a multi-week injury.
what the heck is going on with Tetaroa McMillan, Brett?
Yeah, well, I said it last week.
He's been getting a lot of extra attention.
And I've been saying it's just a matter of time until defense has realized they have
Coker to contend with.
But now that Coker is dealing with the multi-week injury, this is not great for TEP.
But I haven't confirmed yet.
I have to look through the data still where we're still charting.
And nothing we've charted has technically been reviewed yet.
But I'm pretty sure he caught a Denzel Ward shadow today.
and so and then on top of that they're rolling coverage to him it's like I've been saying this all season
so he's getting special treatment he's catching shadows they're rolling a lot of coverage his way
it's well they were supposed to play him more in the slot and he had one of the most efficient
slot seasons his final year of college uh so we'll have to see if that's materialized or not
i can actually look right well tet macmillan in this game two catches on five targets for 17 yards
Meanwhile, Bryson-Chermaine was the leading receiver.
Darren Waller on like a 50% route share led the team in targets with eight.
That's crazy.
Not to jump back to Cleveland, by the way.
I just checked KCC's ADOT so far.
Again, unreviewed data.
His ADOT today is over eight.
Oh, nice.
It was 1.8 last week.
So that's a significant improvement in terms of role.
He didn't, you know, again, it didn't manifest in production.
Hey, Ted McMillan ran or he had 21 snaps out of the slot today.
So that's actually the most of the season so far.
Well, that's great.
I kind of wish production followed that.
Yeah, it sounds like they're probably trying to hide him from Denzel Ward.
And it didn't really work out.
All right, let's talk to Bubbard.
You mentioned it.
He's been an RB1 finisher all three weeks so far this season.
He has this role, I mean, on lockdown, right?
With Jonathan Brooks injured, they don't trust A.J. Dillon, obviously,
nor should they.
And I think Carolina's offensive line
has actually been better than expected
with the injuries they've had an offensive tackle.
What do you guys think his outlook is
for the rest of the season?
I think this is a huge note in fantasy right now.
I mean, in the short term
over the next four to six weeks,
like I'd be valuing him
as a fringe RB1.
Yeah, like you said, it's a Belcal role.
19 of 23 calories,
four catches,
is 110 yards from scrimmage today, really getting all the work in a valuable offense.
It's just a matter of, you know, do we have to worry about Jonathan Brooks coming back,
forcing a committee? Is it just over for Jonathan Brooks? I don't know. To me, he's a hold.
And then I think three or four weeks or now, we'll probably have him as a sell high in the trade episode.
the New York Jets traveled to Detroit to face the Detroit Lions and they fell short,
but we got some nice signal out of this Jets offense that has been impressive through three weeks so far.
Gino Smith played out of his mind today.
I don't know if you guys saw any of this game.
Throw for throw, I could argue he was the best quarterback on the day.
And it wasn't, the lines didn't make it easy on him.
The pressure was insane.
I think they had over a 40% pressure rate.
The coverage was actually really good.
It was insanely sticky.
and Gino was just dropping dimes freaking all over the field.
It was really impressive.
Were you guys at on Gino?
I see in the show sheet it says,
Gino bullish.
What does that mean?
Yeah, so I wrote that.
So we always said what's the biggest issue with Gino Smith is he is so pressure sensitive.
While he was living under pressure in this game,
he took five sacks and he balled out.
You know, only six incompletions over 300 yards,
three touchdowns that was in a game without Mason Taylor,
a game without the ask.
God Adonai Mitchell.
And he really balled out.
And now Brees Hall is out a number of weeks.
Kenyon Sadiq looks awesome.
All that talk and debate in the offseason, Brett.
And he just did something he never did in college.
He just had a 100-yard game.
And it was just his third career NFL game.
Garrett Wilson looked like who Garrett Wilson has always been.
And so, yeah, especially with Breeze Hall going down,
You have to be bullish on this Jad's passing attack.
Something I loved about the role, and then I'm going to toss to Ryan.
I think I'm nervous to say this because it's only three weeks.
I think Frank Reich is doing a heck of a job.
Yeah.
Shocking.
It is shocking.
Gino Smith today, guys, had 19 completions on first down.
We know early down passing is a cheat code.
He had over 200 of his passing yards on first down today, guys.
Like that is that is really really topped here for a coordinator that we all thought was kind of washed and kind of dead and the game had passed him by.
So he he he called play action at one of the bottom five lowest rates in the FBS last year when he was at Stanford.
Well, he's with Stanford.
You can't you can't do a lot of that.
I mean, come on.
He's just non-functional quarterback.
And I think they were top 10 in the NFL through two weeks or they were up there.
Yeah.
It was very, it was shocking to me to to to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to,
review some of those numbers yeah yeah so mixing in high play action rates with high early down
passing rates that's that's just great disguise you're you're definitely getting an efficiency hack
there maybe you read your article ryan and that's what it was yeah yeah must have been you turned him
uh what the the two the two play callers that i like made fun of the most of my article were frank rike
and brad tzic just because we knew nothing about him and they like every every coordinator this
off season was like yeah we're switching over to do faster pace we're going to do more
under center play action. They didn't even say that about it, Zick. It was just, yeah, it's going to be the same
offense. Don't worry about it. And it's completely night and day. It's so funny how that works.
That's awesome. So what is the, what is the season long implications for Garrett Wilson who looks
like a top 10 receiver in the league quite comfortably? And then Kenyon Sadiq, who, as you mentioned,
Scott's like, he looked awesome today. He had a, he had a ridiculous run after catch play.
His touchdown was insane. Coverage draped all over him, contested situation, diving into the end zone. I mean,
it was fantastic. What is the long so like you know,
Wilson's never had a quarterback as good as Geno Smith. This has to be huge for him.
Right. Like career season loading or what? I think so. Honestly. Yeah,
every single season you just see Garrett Wilson in the top three of first read target share.
Every target earning metric he's always amazing in every efficiency metric that is sensitive to
quarterback play yards per out run any of those fantasy points over expectation. He's never
been great in yeah that theoretically should change if he has a good quarterback which yeah i i agree
he hit so far through three weeks it seems like this is the best runout that wilson has had uh on sedie
or is he is so high because heading into this week adenai mitchell had uh more xfp per game a higher
uh target share more air yards and so like yeah he went off this week but he he did it without 80
Mitchell there.
I mean, it's on a two-game sample where a lot of the XFP is from like two deep throws
for Adonai Mitchell.
Like, yes, he will have those when he comes back.
But we have the several year sample of Garrett Wilson being an amazing target earner.
But not with Gino Smith.
When like, Gino Smith, like what makes him great is those deep, deep throws.
He's one of the best deep passers in the league.
And that's really Adonai Mitchell's calling card.
So I don't know.
I'm kind of bullish on everyone right now,
but I wouldn't dismiss the ass guy when he comes back.
Yeah, not dismissing the ask God.
I think the bigger note to me is that's why I'm maybe a little unconvinced
of how sustainable for fantasy this is for Sadiq this year.
Just because, yeah, he had to do this without 80 Mitchell,
without Mason Taylor.
He had an awesome role, 22% target share,
but just 58% of the routes.
I know that was kind of,
One of the concerns on Sadiq for fantasy coming into the year is how high of a snap and a route chair can this guy get too early in his career.
He looked super athletic and all of that.
Like I think he answered all those questions.
But yeah, I do wonder if he's just on the field enough, if the role is good enough, especially when they get their guys back healthy for this to continue.
The future is definitely bright for Sadiq.
Like you're over the moon if you drafted him in your dynasty rookie draft or whatever.
but I do wonder like for him if he just kind of gets crowded out a little bit as we go.
Yeah, Frank Reich also a guy who like his,
uh,
Frank Reich's team tight ends always rank like top five,
but it's,
it's always kind of like a committee, uh, situation.
So it's just something to monitor.
I mean, like,
I did not envision him having a game this productive this early in his rookie season after
he missed so much of training camp and like, bro, he looked awesome.
That was one of this.
sickest touchdown catches I've seen. So it also wouldn't surprise me of just, hey, you see that
route here steadily climb. And they found something special in this, you know, tight end who went
very early in round one of the draft. It's cut to your point. Jeremy Rucker actually also
had five catches in this game for 40 yards and touchdown. And Jalani Woods, who's been dead for
years, had a, they threw like a fade to him, like a slot fade to Jalani Woods for a 20 yard game.
So like, even though Sadiq bawled out, it actually still was kind of committee approach at tight end.
It just so happened.
They ran a lot of 12 and 13 personnel.
So let's talk to Meere Gibbs really quick.
I don't know that the crowd needs a ton of analysis here.
I'll just say that he had 100 yards rushing two touchdowns.
Another seven reception, 65 yards and a touchdown for the hat trick.
He has at least five catches in every game this season so far on top of the rushing production.
And it's not just these chinty running back targets.
They're actually putting them out why.
He had three receptions today as a wide receiver, running actual wide receiver routes.
You know, they're motioning them out, getting him into the slot.
Whatever they got to do to get that mismatch.
Is this an LT type season loading?
I know he's on pace to break pretty much every fantasy football record we have.
Well, that's what we talked about all offseason.
It was like I think we're going to see a vintage Ladani and Tomlinson S season where like,
if you were playing fantasy football back then, Ryan, I know you were six years old,
bit because when I first started playing fantasy football, it's like if you, whoever had the 101
was just like you got an automatic ticket to the championship because that's how overpowered
Lidani and Thominson was. And that's what it looks like with Jemir Gibbs. Here's a crazy stat for you.
We had Jameer Gibbs projected for 27.3 draft king's fantasy points. It was the most we've ever given
to a non-quarterback. And it still wasn't enough. He had over what, 40 fantasy points in this
contest. So yeah, absolutely. Yeah, 41.4. He finished one rushing yard shy of 44.5. But like,
that's not the only interesting thing on the lion's side of the ball. It was also a really
underwhelming day from all of the past catchers at Jamison Williams, who I hate,
another very underwhelming game under 50 receiving yards. Amun Ross St. Brown had only 19 receiving
yards. He went
28 straight games where
he played on at least five snaps.
28 straight games with over
40 receiving yards. And he had
under half that in this game.
What happened here, Brett?
Isaac Tesla was the team's leading receiver.
Just super spreader.
Take what they were given.
You know,
it really wasn't anything too crazy.
Does Aaron Glenn know the
Dan Campbell offense? Is that it?
No, not really. I mean, they
pretty much getting what they wanted. They ran the ball very well. Play action was working.
Tesla had like the 50 yard play on the play action crosser. I mean, it was just wasn't,
you know, on third down when they needed one. It was Jemir Gibbs. They were scheming up
throws to him. So it really wasn't anything crazy. What's nuts is Jamo had three catches on the
first drive. I was like, oh, it's a JMO game. This is going to be crazy. And then they just didn't
really need to go back to them. So yeah, nothing too crazy here.
move on. Let's go Texans at the Colts and the Colts take out the Houston Texans.
Texans are 0 and 3. This is not does not look good for them. CJ Stroud, I honestly don't
have notes from this game, guys, other than Tyler Warren just got spammed a million targets,
but like the Texans defense is letting me down a little bit and C.J. Stroud just is buns,
but there's not a lot to go off here. Those in breakers I told you guys about that's, that's all
the Colts did just spam inbreakers to Josh down to Keenan Allen to Tyler Warren and that's how
they moved the ball was nothing special to it they got the job done they win I don't know how
you guys tell me are there any fantasy takeaways here well David Montgomery obviously
stuck in a committee it's really gross that he lost the goal line work to what he marks
he's like an undersized glorified scatback and David Montgomery one of the most
efficient goal line running backs of the past decade who you know he had he had that he stole that
job away from jimier gives when he was with detroit and now he's losing that to what he marks but
this is what my my houston source lied to me my houston source is dead to me but this is what
ryan heath told you last week and everything report is they're rotating drives it's like
david montgomery gets every two out of three drives just they're about or 60 percent
but if the Texans get inside the red zone on a marks drive,
they're going to leave him in there inside the red zone.
So this is really unideal for an offense that's kind of dead without Nico Collins
and also a really bad offensive line.
So it's really not looking great for David Montgomery.
You have to just hope that Houston comes to their senses here.
And then, yeah, Josh Downs.
It was a really big day for Josh Downs,
targets. He only had five catches, 77 yards. But honestly, I thought that was inspiring given
just the, you know, the difficult matchup on the perimeter with these Houston cornerbacks.
But I had a question I wanted to ask you, Brad, is just like, how worried should we be
about this Indianapolis Colts offense without Alec Pierce?
Jonathan Taylor's yards per carry plummets on play.
plays, Alec Pierce is not on the field.
I think defenses can really just go single high and stack the box.
And then what are you going to do?
You're just going to spam short area targets to Josh Downs, Keenan Allen,
Tyler Warren, who are all kind of the same guy.
Is it over for the Colts?
What's going on here, Brett?
I mean, it's definitely troublesome, right?
Like Pierce, the obvious math you can do is he stretches defenses out, right?
He forces too high, looks.
he gets extra attention because of the vertical route tree that he runs,
which opens up everything underneath.
Those inbreakers are more effective.
The run game is more effective.
But they've also ran into a brutal schedule to start the season.
Baltimore, Kansas City, Houston, all have very good defenses.
Next week to get Washington, I think in a couple weeks,
they get the Titans, if I'm not mistaken.
So it's like two things can be true.
I do think it's having a detrimental impact on the offense,
but the schedule does lighten up a little bit,
and I think guys should probably start to get loose.
let's uh any other notes from this game on the houston side i mean not really in a
you know in a carose game yeah to be uh i wanted to talk of the montgomery thing real quick
like he still played a lot more than marks he'd like 15 more snaps a lot i think seven or
eight more routes run it's it's not super committee what is it like 65 35 but it's still gross
the goal line thing obviously pisses you off yeah it's like it's like it's like
like if d'andre swift were a less efficient runner on a worse offense and the team didn't just
occasionally put him in at the goal line even when it was a monongue drive that that's like what you're
dealing with with with david montgomery right now and yeah that's that's pretty rough yeah and and you
know part of this too is no nico collins there this is like a much worse offense and their oh and three
Vegas had them what with nine nine wins heading into the year so you know you have to think game
should be better after this like really brutal stretch
of tough matchups.
Or actually, no, you were talking about the Colts, right?
Yeah, the Texans face thus far.
That's a great question, Scott.
I don't know.
Rough up my head.
Well, they face Buffalo, Cincinnati.
For a shitty defense.
The bills were a shitty defense.
Yeah, yeah.
And the Bengals better than last year.
It took C.J. Just drought 60 dropbacks
to get over 300 yards.
So yeah, this interior offensive line is so bad for Houston.
It's it that's that's more troubling to me than the time chair.
It's like even when Montgomery's on the field, there's literally nothing for him.
It's it's ugly.
All right.
Let's talk New England at Jacksonville.
Drake May's having arguably the worst start to a season I can remember for a player who came close to winning MVP last year.
It's disgusting.
He's taking 10 sacks.
I think he's got 10 turnover really throws already on the season.
Like it is just brutal.
Today was no better.
He had the Phantom fumble as well.
No one even near him.
He just coughed it up.
It was gross.
This past catching units, a disaster.
I don't know what else to say.
It's impacting the running backs.
Stevenson and Henderson can't get anything going.
Ryan, you got anything for me on this?
Probably the biggest thing is after all the speculation last week
of whether the backfield had flipped, which we talked about on this show.
No, it actually didn't flip.
Stevenson went right back to playing more snaps, running more routes than Henderson.
It was Stevenson in the only time that they were running a play inside the 10.
So I think you're just back to a 60-40 backfield split.
And yeah, with Drake May playing like this, that means that neither Henderson nor Stevenson are fantasy viable.
Yeah, here's a crazy stat for you.
This is from Doug Kloss.
and Drake May has nine fumbles and 10 interceptions since the start of last postseason.
He's the first player with nine plus fumbles and 10 plus interceptions in a seven game span
since James Winston in 2019, his famous 30 touchdown 30 interception season.
It is so bad.
And he looked broken in this game.
I think he was crying on the sideline.
What the heck is going on?
Like, is it really the case that he was just a strength of schedule merchant last year?
Is it just like a brutal slump?
You tell me, Brett, you're the film expert here.
I mean, I've said it.
He's not seeing it.
He's not diagnosing coverages.
He's actually misdiagnosing coverages.
So he's playing everything a tick slow.
And when he does make a decision, it's usually a wrong one.
And then I do think this past catching situation is brutal for him.
AJ Brown out, Romeo Dubs, not taking to the offense.
You know, his main guy last year, Kisham Booty, gone.
Stefan Diggs, gone.
It's just a really rough situation.
I think we got a little cute with the way we did this,
and it's having a massive effect.
His offensive line's not great either.
Now, they're not terrible either, but they're not great.
It's, he's just not playing the position very well at all.
I don't know.
it's it's really alarming though because i had some obviously big concerns about him coming out
i took some victory laps after his brief performances as a rookie and then last year he kind of proved
me wrong so i i took some ls but this is the guy i was kind of scared of coming out of north
carolina so i don't know i don't know what to do here um what do we think about mac hollins
today is that have any like what is going on is he the main guy i am so i am so annoyed by the
distance of Mac Hollins.
Like, my understanding
is that Mac Hollins is the reason
that the Patriots fan
and I'm always very negative and bitter
for any watchers that
don't know that about me. But my
understanding is we traded Kayshan
Boodie because of Mac Collins.
As a Patriots fan. Yeah.
So many things to be bitter and negative about.
Yeah. Yeah. They make it
really easy on me to be bitter and negative.
But my understanding is the team traded
booty because Hollins came on so well and they were so into Mac Hollins.
Like this guy's a total goof. He moves like a tight end. He walks around with his with in his
bare feet. He like doesn't wear shoes because he's too special for that or whatever. I he just
his existence angers me. That's that that's that's not analysis, but that yeah.
Well Ryan's a hater out making fun of a guy because he's he's he's a hippie basically. Doesn't
wear shoes. Um, says he moves like a tight. He's probably like really.
as a professional athlete.
Like what if you just like get tetanus or just like cut your step on broken glass?
Like that's I'm with Ryan on this one.
That's kind of a goofy stick at a bare minimum and then maybe potentially dangerous for a professional athlete.
Does anyone know why Matt Collins doesn't wear shoes?
Somebody Google.
I'm sure there's a, I thought he's like, I'm pretty sure it's some like woo-woo like woo-woo reason.
Yeah.
I'm assuming it's like grounding or something.
I'm wearing blue light blocking glasses to protect my circadian rhythm.
So I'm a little sympathetic to woo-woo, but maybe not.
I think there's more science behind circadian rhythm than that's fair.
Then grounding your feet.
Ryan, if flora and fauna isn't that the thing with grounding, right?
You got to get all the, it's good for your immune system and stuff.
You uncharge your body.
I don't know.
I'm asking Scott, because I'm asking Scott.
I know he actually knows he's just not speaking.
Yeah.
So the Jaguars?
Yeah.
Yes.
So the Jaguar.
Jaguar's side of the buck.
I know,
I know Parker Washington didn't have like the most glamorous stat line in this game, Scott.
Three.
He had two six touchdown catches.
Yeah.
The dude is he's unbelievable.
He's so good.
And if they needed him to do more than this game, I'm sure he would have.
But they were just beating the absolute life out of the Patriots.
So.
But yeah,
I just want to throw that in there. Parker Washington looks great.
Ryan or Scott wrote Rip BTJ.
He's, is he Morphan Harrison Jr. plan right now?
Like, is that the plan he's on?
So this is kind of crazy.
Brian Thomas Jr. didn't play on the opening series.
Rookie Josh Cameron did.
And then if you added up all snaps at the end of the game,
Parker Washington and Jacoby Myers both had 50.
Brian Thomas Jr. and Josh Cameron both had 23.
So like what is what is going on here?
In my notes, I had MHJ for BTJ, who says no, you know, two guys who just kind of, I don't know, might be checked out.
Because like, when do you see that? When do you see a player not playing on the opening drive?
Typically, that's like disciplinary action. That's like late to meetings, violation of team rules or the guy seems checked out.
I don't know what's going on here, but that was really interesting to me.
Here's another interesting note on that.
They played 19 snaps out of 12 personnel today.
BTJ played zero of them.
Not one.
It's gone down every week slowly.
But it was Parker Washington and Jacobi Myers for the most part, 17 and 15 respectively.
And then Josh Cameron got six snaps out of 12 personnel.
Bro, if I'm the Raiders, I'm like, yeah, I'll give you a second and a third for BTJ ASAP.
Bro.
Marvin Harrison, Jr.
I'll give you a fourth round.
And I'll sign Tyreek Hill, Yolo.
Yeah, the signal they're sending.
We have no wide receivers and we're three and no.
The signal the Jags are sending to the league right now is it,
it would be cheaper than a second and a third for BTJ.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Probably like a third is probably more accurate.
He's not even playing.
Like it's rough.
And he's so talented.
Like I know we,
by the way,
shout out to Debrough who had a super hot take on her show,
but he looks dead on is like,
BTJ is going to be available off waivers in week five.
And people are like, oh, that's insane.
But like a brutal cornerback schedule.
And now this, that's rough.
But hey, I wanted to give Ryan Heath a chance to victory lap.
All offseason, I'm like, I don't know, I'm worried Bejel Tootin might be stuck in a three-way committee backfield.
And today, it was a four-way committee backfield, but doesn't seem to matter.
Usage volume really good.
He's playing his ass off.
So, Ryan, why don't you talk about your boy, Bejel Tootin here?
Yeah, he's he's fighting his way out of it is how I would put it.
He had a season high, 65% carry share today.
If you just ignore the final drive in the blowout when they gave Amir Abdullah touches.
It seems like.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Basial Toon got six carries on that drive.
Did he not?
Am I making that up?
No, he did not.
You are making that up.
You got to come correct here with.
Tune got the make-a-wish touchdown.
before that and then it was the final drive I believe was just a mere like three
Amir Abdullah carries how tilting was that that that touchdown vulture for
Trevor Lawrence owners by the way yeah but Trevor Lawrence owners were upset yeah
yeah but did you hear uh Trevor Lawrence's explanation yeah that he wanted to get
Bachel to in a touchdown for for no his fantasy owner is a touchdown yeah
yeah specifically specifically me Trevor Lawrence
cared about me today.
So that felt amazing.
Ryan Heath.
Yeah.
But no, Tudan looks amazing.
But in terms of percent of carries, they go five or more yards,
Tutin leads the NFL right now behind, well, he's third behind only both of the Rams
running backs entering Sunday night football.
He may be first after Sunday night football finishes.
Yeah, he just has looked awesome.
The, while he's not getting 100% of the stuff,
inside the 10 that we prefer.
He's getting most of the receiving
enough inside the 10.
It's yeah, he just is
a high end RB2
and I think
like as the season goes on it wouldn't be
shocking if they continue leaning on it more.
So I'm feeling really good about
Bachel Tooting right now.
You have 4.9 yards per carry
today. All other running backs 3.5.
You saw kind of the same thing happen
last week. You had
three other running backs involved, but
he had 15 of 26 carries, two of four receptions.
So like, yeah, it comes out, like multiple running backs
are involved in this backfield,
but it comes out to like 60% of the work,
which is like a great gig if you can get it
on a Liam Cohen offense that gets good game script most of the time.
I think I'm selling it.
Yeah, are you?
I just look, their last real drive,
Tooten had six carries on that drive.
Going into that final drive,
It was nine tootan Chris Rodriguez eight.
Oh, interesting.
Yeah.
And then, so they gave Crod like two full drives in the third quarter.
That was kind of weird.
And then, yeah, they gave two in a full drive.
And then they gave them the make a wish touchdown.
And then I'm just looking at you got Amir Abdul playing passing downs.
Got LeQuint Allen playing passing downs.
I don't know.
It's just a little gross.
Yeah, I think, I think mid range RB2 with a little bit more upside than that is,
is perfectly reasonable.
Okay.
The upside's going to be capped in a committee.
And I kind of think unless he really impresses it, and to be fair, he does look like
the best back by a good margin.
It's probably the Travis Achan role from a season ago with better efficiency because
Travis Achan stinks.
But, yeah, you know, jury's still out, but definitely encouraged and we're trending in the right
direction. I'm putting them on the sell high list this week. Just FY. Beware. Beware.
At a time. All right, let's move over to the Tennessee Giants game. Scott, you wrote
L.O.L. What's that about my friend? Good question. I mean, like, is there really,
do we really need to spend too much time on this? This is, this is really embarrassing.
It's really bad. Cam Ward finally faces a pillow soft defense. And just,
just, what's the bed?
How much of that is the bad weather in this game?
I don't know.
Tony Pollard was an Uber bell cow,
but did Taji Spears get reaggravate his injury in this game, Ryan?
He did, yeah.
He spent time in the blue tent from reagravating his ankle injury.
So can we take too much away from this?
So it wasn't like a massive snapshot for Pollard.
It was just that he saw most of the work on,
the ground, Spears still ran a good number of routes it looked like to me.
So I don't even know that it was that it ultimately ended up being that different from like
relative to what the roles were last year when Spears was playing banged up every single week.
And Pollard was just, yeah, a strong like share of the backfield.
But ultimately does this ever matter on the Titans offense?
Probably not.
Well, I think Cam Scataboo might be in a similar situation.
So I mean, like he looked awesome.
today like when everyone else sucked malik neighbors is he in the decoy role is he scared of of taking
on serious contact with this shoulder injury i don't know uh he he caught five of six targets for
26 yards isaiah likely two of five targets for 13 yards james winston looked absolutely
awful you know he throws a pretty ball not this year on the giants uh he just throws a bunch
to ducks and it's ugly. But Cam Scataboo, the team's leading receiver, he caught a deep target,
which he loved to see. And then he had 20 carries for 60 rushing yards. He had like 78
rushing yards after contact. So, you know, the Titans really loading the box against him
or New York's offensive line struggling and run blocking. But like as much as I love Cam Scadaboo,
like I'm still kind of pessimistic here because like how often are the giants going to be favored?
This might be the only game they're favored for the rest of the year.
Or the only game they, you know, they win comfortably like they did in this one.
I don't know.
What do you think, Ryan?
I think I'm more optimistic.
I'm worried it's like like he's fancy Quinnshot Judkins.
I don't think it's quite as bad as Quinn Sean Judkins because Scataboo is a better pass catcher or more often you.
used pass catcher than Judkins.
That's the fancy part.
That's the fancy part, right?
Yeah, I guess that is the fancy part.
That's good fancy.
You know, it's like...
Yeah, it's...
Whenever Scott says fancy, what he just means that derogatorily, usually.
It just means he's the same guy, but no one wants to admit it.
I think it's genuinely a bit better of an outlook for Scadaboo just because of the
past catching resume.
He fully had that back this week.
So we've seen like a three-week ramp up back to what was basically
his rookie workload, which was very fantasy friendly.
If you're going to get all of the high value fantasy touches, even on like a dead offense,
you're going to be relevant.
But yeah, when it comes to actual touchdown equity for the Giants, that's, I don't know,
low end RB2 is where I'd be probably.
Whereas Judkins is like, I never want to start at this point if I can help it.
That's fair.
I just worry that this Giants offense is just dead, dead.
And James Winston has looked awful and like really bad vibes when, hey, you just sign this guy to an extension.
And like immediately Jackson Dart goes down and you hear Adam Schaefter, Ian Rappaport, all these guys like, oh, giants are in the market for a quarterback.
They're inquiring on J.J. McCarthy. They're inquiring.
I was just going to say J.J.J. is going to be your starter by week seven.
You think so? I think so. That's not encouraging either. Or should it be?
Who knows JJ better than anybody?
Jim Harbaugh.
Who's Jim Harbaugh's brother?
John Harbaugh.
Jack Harbaugh.
Jack, that's his dad.
It's his father.
Is there a third Harbaugh brother?
He's just like...
Yeah, there is.
He's like a doctor or something.
I think.
That's sick.
It's like the third Watt brother.
Third Manning brother, too.
Wait, the third Watt brother played in the NFL still.
Still does, I believe.
Yeah.
Yeah, he's a fullback.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Couldn't be a cool pass rusher.
Should the Titans bench Cam Ward, right?
I mean, yes.
And start.
But at least Carnal Tate and Wondell, well, Will Lovus is on IR.
They can't start him.
Wondell Robinson, Carnal Tate both had a pulse today at least.
I think they had six catches apiece, if I'm not mistaken.
That's significant, I guess.
Cam Ward sucks, though.
All right, we have like six more games to get to before we get out of here,
maybe seven, actually.
But before we move on to the next game,
we have to hear a message from our guy, Scott Barrett.
If you like fantasy football, I've got great news.
Last year, our projections had the highest correlation
to Draft King's fantasy points in the entire fantasy football industry.
Our data is better, more accurate
than what NFL teams were paying six figures for.
With our new Data Suite 2.0,
you get the level of access of NFL teams
at literally one-one-thousand-the-price.
That's probably a stupid business decision from a financial perspective, but those are the decisions
you make when you're chasing greatness, when you want to be nothing more than the best football
site on earth.
We're just a bunch of obsessive sickos who only care about football and being the best, most helpful
football site on earth. If that seems up your alley, go to fantasy points.com and use promo code
great news for 15% off.
All right.
Some guy that's Scott Barrett.
Yeah, handsome guy with these Jimmy Neutron ass glasses.
I'm going to sleep like a baby tonight.
You guys staring at your screen.
Listen, I have them too.
I just don't wear them live on the show.
Because you're afraid of getting made fun of.
Not me.
Yeah, I have a blue light filter on all my monitors,
but then when I go on shows, I just have a massive backlight
that just beams a ton of blue light into my face anyway.
so it kind of defeats the purpose.
There you go.
All right, Cincinnati at Pittsburgh,
not a ton of notes here in this game, guys.
Aaron Rogers did Aaron Rogers things
where he looked good for like a handful of throws
and then looked really bad on a handful of others.
Dude, what do you?
He bawled out.
If not for the brutal Roman Wilson drop,
he would have had over 300 yards,
three touchdowns, no interceptions.
And then like, like, Pitman had a bad drop.
It's the movement skills that kill me, brother.
Oh, that's rough.
He doesn't realize he's cooked is the problem.
Like he just gets out of the pocket.
Like, ooh,
I mean,
like he's throwing the ball nice for a guy who's just like a total dead statue in the pocket.
His arm looks great still.
Yeah.
You can just flick it and it just jumps out of his hand.
It's,
it's beautiful.
But my man is not mobile to say the least.
Not at all.
Yeah.
But I mean,
neither is Kirk Cousins and Raiders are three and now.
Cousins is way more mobile than Rogers is right now.
Way more.
Wow.
All right.
But yeah,
I mean, this was typical Bengal stuff, right?
Like Jamar Chase, good.
T. Higgins, good.
Joe Burrow, good.
Chase Brown, really nice role.
Didn't amount to a ton of fantasy points, but good role.
And then the other side of it was the Jalen Warren show.
So I don't really know.
Do we have anything else beyond that?
Well, I think that's big.
You know, Jalen Warren was a guy that Ryan Heath and I were always like,
he's really efficient.
We think he's good and better than the other running backs,
but seven different coaches just never want to give him a bell.
cow roll and he finally got it this week and he was awesome he did he did great in that role 17
carries 127 yards four catches 49 yards um so yeah i mean like that's what a fringe rb one
next week if ricko daddles out again so um yeah all right also saw you also saw dk mtkaff
finally getting neglected which i think is deserved roman wilson was the team's leading receiver he had
six targets, 60 yards in a touchdown at half, and then he had that brutal drop resulting in
an interception and was targeted again. This was gross. They had six players with four plus targets
in this game, guys. That's kind of gross. Yeah, but if Roman Wilson didn't have that drop,
maybe he would have had 10 targets. Aaron stared him down like he was going to behead him in the
locker room. Maybe he'd just ignore him for 20 years. Yeah. Jeff Janus treatment.
or the Miami Dolphins travel to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Rashi Rice back, I don't know.
He got spammed like he had seven catches within five yards of the line of scrimmage.
Well, that's the thing is.
I know, I know.
I'm not saying it's bad for famous.
It's like it's so uninspiring.
I freaking hate it.
But yeah.
And like it doesn't work.
We've looked at the on-off splits, the EPA per target.
And it's like, but hey, I wrote.
this guy off his dad. I was like, this is the worst pick you can make in fantasy. And he suck for two
weeks, but he was productive this week and he was back in that screen merchant role. And I wonder how
much of that was Xavier Worthy. He, um, because I think Rashy Rice had nothing and Xavier
worthy had two targets. And then he got hurt. He was, he missed like five snaps, but then came back
on the field. So I don't know if that's what it was. Rishie Rice also had that brutal, uh, drop resulting
an interception but I think Ryan's notes said he had five catches after that so that didn't
negatively impact him I don't know just just something to monitor that maybe Rishi
Rice is regained that fraud screen merchant role that that you know was really valuable for the
past few years yeah I mean God yeah the one target he had like somewhat downfield was a
completely busted coverage too so his
his stat line looks decent. It was about to be like six catches for 24 yards.
And then he caught the one. He rambled for 34 on it. It was gross, gross, gross.
Chris Bell, guys, we feel in any type of way here. He had seven targets. Malik Washington at 10.
I would say this, by the way, this game was a lot more competitive than the score indicated it was.
The dolphins had multiple like longest drives that did not result in points.
Malik Willis had nine carries in this game.
I think he had three or four designed runs as well,
plus some scramble stuff going.
So that's a good sign moving the right direction.
Yeah, I don't know.
Any other notes here?
Yeah, I think some of it just forced by the A-chan injury as well, right?
It looked like Washington was playing in the backfield a little bit too,
if I'm not mistaken.
I thought I caught that.
but yeah it's just we got to see whether it's ollie gordon or jalen wright
uh gordon was just used as a bell cow after a chan left he played like 90% of the snaps
uh right was inactive for this game he had gotten downgraded to a dnp friday so we really
don't know the extent of that injury or winner if he could return uh but yeah it's gonna
i i wish i had like a better take on which one would be the
lead or if it's split at all it probably doesn't matter on this offense I think
Braylon Allen probably a much better waiver pickup than either dolphins back this
week with what we know right now but Jaylon Wright also also legally blind
so it doesn't help his case yeah do you remember the like the who was the
the feet of vision of yeah yeah who who was that originally up was that
David Montgomery.
I think he was David Montgomery.
Yeah,
that's right.
So Brett and I did one of Jalen Wright,
whereas like,
feet of Rahim Moster,
speed of Rahim Moster,
vision of Helen Keller.
That was our Jalen Wright comp.
Yeah, dude, he's staying.
So I would definitely give the lean to Ali Gordon,
but it's also possible it's just going to be
a gross committee between the two of them
on an awful offense.
Yeah. Chris Bell, I'm legit bullish on because you had a round one great on him.
Just throw, but like you worried about the ACL and missing all of camp.
But dude, he had a 72% snap share, seven targets, four catches, 67 yards.
He looked spry. He looked good on some of the yak there.
So, you know, if there's anyone who's fantasy relevant among the past catchers, like, yeah, I'm sliding him above Malik Washington.
I think he has more upside.
baby a jb is what he looks like to me oh really yeah yeah yeah Seattle Seahawks went to
Washington and lost to Marcus Marioota no one saw this coming but listen the Mario da
mcclora and connection reigned true in this game it was good I got a lot of
tweets and YouTube comments suggesting Stefan Diggs is the better player and he wasn't
there last year ergo we should not care about the Mario to McLaren splits but you
wrong people. It was indeed
Terry McLaren as the preferred target
here. What did you guys see in this one?
Ryan, let's go to you.
It's yeah,
all I wanted to do was
continue the Mario to McLauran splits.
I believed Brett, I wrote them
up as a contrarian DFS
option and then I didn't play them myself
which is always like
the worst absolute
way that this tends to go for me.
But yeah, in eight games above
a 90% snapshot with the commander
Mario da averages 18.4 fantasy points per game.
That's a low end QB1.
When McLaurin has played in that split, he's up at 16.6 fantasy points per game.
He is, it must be above 3.3 yards per outrun with Marioada on the field going back to last year.
That's what it was entering this week.
And yeah, in the second half of week two and today, up at a 28, 29% target share,
there's clearly something real here
like these guys just have a
chemistry McLaurin is Marioada's
favorite target. Yeah I don't really
know what else to say about it. It's just
one of those connection things that I
think does matter.
Mariota is like every
time he plays it surprises me. He was really good
last year.
Like at least his play on the field.
He looked pretty comfortable today
as well against the best defense
in the league. So I was just surprised all around.
So I'm going to ask
two stupid questions here, just in case you might surprise me with an answer. Is it possible
Marcus Marriota is an upgrade on Jaden Daniels? And then is it possible? Sam Darnold is a downgrade
on Drew Locke? What do you mean? Sam Donald had like 500 yards today. Yeah, he had a career
eye in passing yards, but he also had multiple turnovers. Well, he is the all he's the all-time
NFL leader in turnovers per snaps. You know that, right?
Even after last year?
Yeah.
Wow.
So that's not super shocking that he had a couple of bad
turnovers in this game.
Do you have two or three?
It doesn't matter, but I would say, yeah,
it's possible Mario daisy is better for this offense right now
than what Jane Daniels was given them.
It didn't look pretty in weeks one and two.
I don't think Drew Locke is an upgrade over Sam Darnold, though.
As much as I've been a Sam Darnold hater,
Donald's got some moxie to him that just makes this offense go.
Yeah, I don't think.
it matters who it is when you have jackson smith and jigba the greatest wide receiver since jerry
rice uh right now he's averaging 34.7 fantasy points per game that's 9.4 more than the next closest
wide receiver um everyone's like oh you know regression to the mean is coming he got better
crazy uh it's he's on pace for like 2300 receiving yards
Now, which just doesn't make sense.
He's going to do it too.
Yeah, we'll see.
But it's pretty nuts, man.
He should have probably been, what, the 103 at least?
Yeah.
And redraft?
Yeah.
We were worried about Kubiak.
All right.
Same division as the Seahawks.
The Arizona Cardinals played the San Francisco 49ers,
and we got so much glorious Jacoby Brissette garbage time production in this game.
It was beautiful.
It was perfect.
Michael Wilson with like 90 targets.
Scott, you wrote down pace and pass rate over expectation here.
Is this for the 49ers or the Cardinals?
This is for the Cardinals.
So this is something that Ryan Heath and I spent a bunch of time talking about this offseason
where we were looking at the Arizona Cardinals offense from last year.
And they had the highest pass rate in fantasy points data history.
And we're like, this has to regress the mean, right?
And Ryan goes, oh, not so fast.
You know, I'm digging into Mike LaFlor.
you had that one of my all-time favorite stats was if you remove Zach Wilson and you only looked at the
Mike White games, the Chris Treveller game, and they would have led the league in passing guards
per game. And like the super fast-paced offense with really high Piro and it's like, hey, maybe
Mike LaFleur is actually like an upgrade as impossible as that might have seen. And lo and behold,
Jacoby Brousat, 52 pass attempts. That was the second most of his career.
and you had Jeremiah Love with over 20 carries.
They ran 81 plays.
They didn't have 80 plays in any game last year.
They kept this game competitive.
It was a one score game and a game.
The 49ers dropped 36.
So this is really encouraging.
You know, we just said it with the Carolina Panthers,
but the Arizona Cardinals are right there.
If they can keep up this sort of play volume, you know, fantasy fireworks.
And you see it. Michael Wilson looked back to second half of 2025, Michael Wilson, when he was
the overall wide receiver two and targets per game, fantasy points per game. He had 17 targets,
11 catches, 89 yards and a touchdown, Trey McBride, typical Trey McBride, double digit targets,
nine catches, 75 yards. And then who I think is going to be the cover boy of the everything report this
week is a bit earlier than I expected. Jeremiah Love full on bell cow usage.
Yeah, really exciting stuff for Jeremiah Love where I knew it would take at least a few weeks.
The guy had a high ankle sprain a month before the season.
Seemed unlikely given that, given that Tyler Al Jir was on the roster, that they were going
to rush into giving him the full Belcow workload.
But that's basically what we saw today.
all but two of the backfields carries was still up near a 10% target share and two of the three carries inside the 10 which was really nice to see one of alger's only carries i believe was inside the 10 and it went for like negative three yards and loves overall workload by weighted opportunities it was third best on the week behind uh through through the afternoon games behind only bjean robinson and jimir gibbs so yeah he's right up there it of course
course, as Scott mentioned, the play volume was absolutely nuts in this game. That won't be the case
every single week. So that helps that out a little bit. But yeah, you got to be encouraged to have the
third overall pick that we thought was extremely talented. Everybody in the industry thought was
extremely talented, a great running back prospect to have him up to this level of workload
already in week three. And on an offense, it looks much more competent than anybody was kind of
giving them credit for when he was being drafted at first in round three and eventually it like down
to the round three round four turn in the preseason uh after the injury happened so yeah i think you're
really excited if you drafted love and we're expecting a slower start i think you're just at the point
where you can plug him in every single week you don't need to worry about getting cute anymore i i guess like
the thing i still want to look at is the the route shares because
through the first two weeks it was all Tyler Algear like on third downs and running more routes and you would think a Tyler Algear probably would relative to like his past catching skill set that's somewhat common for rookies like early in their careers.
As Brett can speak to I'm sure has to do with stuff like pass blocking and things like that.
But yeah, especially when we get to tomorrow and can look at that data more in detail.
I got it right now.
I could be.
Yo, yeah, or just read it off and tell me how excited to be.
Love, love, again, unreviewed data, subject to change minorly.
Love ran 26 routes.
Tyler Algier ran 22 routes.
So over 50%.
I believe Alger had more than love each of the first few weeks.
So even that moving in the right direction, that's, yeah, that's genuine.
That's legit, pretty exciting to me.
Awesome.
Yeah, that's, Tyler Algier, man.
Like if Jeremiah loves the worst first round pick ever, is that the worst running back contract ever, Tyler L.Gere?
You're paying the guy a lot of money to get two carries in a game, which makes sense.
You did spend a third overall pick on a running back.
I know this isn't fantasy related.
I'll move on.
But I just had to get that out there.
Minnesota at Tampa Bay is.
Hold on.
What?
What?
What?
What?
We're just going to skip over the 49ers.
Oh, oh, yeah.
My bad.
My bad.
So CMC is back to a full-on bell cow usage after.
We won a lot of pearl clutching and panicking in week one when he had cramps.
He had an 82% snap share, 15 carries, four catches, over 100 yards from scrimmage, and a touchdown.
Mike Evans, dude, it was brutal.
He had a 40% target share, and then he suffered that sort of freak injury.
They're saying it's the Exodia curse.
This has never happened to me before.
Usually you could bank on like two Exodias as superstars.
one, you know, just meeting ADP and then one guy getting hurt.
And this year, it's everyone except for Parker,
say a prayer for Parker Washington.
But yeah, he goes down.
And then it's the George Kittle show, six catches and seven targets,
82 yards and two touchdowns.
Bro, he's supposed to be in ramp up mode.
He's supposed to be, and he is like playing a part-time route share,
he's not supposed to be as productive and look as good as he clearly is.
But this is just what we've seen is last 22 games with Brock Purdy.
He averages 16.7 fantasy points per game.
It's more than Justin Jefferson.
That's low end wide receiver one numbers.
And so he's really, you know, as good as Brock Bowers and trade McBride look, he's just right
there behind them and closer to these like wide receiver ones.
And then yeah, Brock Purdy looks incredible.
I tweeted out, I said, you know, I think he's just,
he's going to win MVP this year.
And then, of course, Mike Evans suffers that injury two seconds later.
But he finished three passing yards shy of 31.4 draftings fantasy points.
And he had a 45-yard rushing touchdown negated due to a very BS holding penalty on George Kittle.
That would have been an additional 10.5 fantasy points.
So how much easier it would have been if, Ryan, if we just named Brian,
who we love the Exodia quarterback this year.
Yeah, genuine like brain fart on both of us for not giving him the consideration he deserved.
I'm feeling okay about Trevor Lawrence being like one of my higher own quarterbacks.
But yeah, outside of that, just Purdy would have been so much better.
But yeah, you you undersold it, Scott, honestly.
After Evans left the game, it was a 42% target share for George Kittle.
Oh, wow.
Which we don't see that for tight.
ever that's just insane stuff it makes sense everybody else on this offense is hurt
it's gonna be super duper concentrated for any time that Evans misses it's yeah
gonna be the the Kiddle McCaffrey show so yeah I don't know what else to do there
yeah it's insane consistency too from Kittle when I cited that stat last 22 games
it was only like three games below 11 fantasy points for George Kittle
with Brock Purdy starting so like that's really
rare for tight end, which is like one of the more volatile position. So yeah, as this 49ers offense
goes, so does Kittle. So have to feel bullish on him where yeah, stinks to lose Mike Evans,
but do expect Kittle to step up in the meantime. By the way, Debo Samuel, zero catches 80
receiving yards. He looked good on that, like he did not look fat. He looked fast with an S.
he looked fat with fast he looked thick with some sees did he really you think so yeah but that's
that's his that's his style it's his body type okay he looked fast he was yeah he looked
faster than i expected fat deba he looked kind of jacked yeah he looked good he looked good uh on your
cmc belc cow point you want to hear how ridiculous this is kill on black guess how many routes the guy
ran today one three three christian
McCaffrey, 26. It's hilarious. Brock Purdy had to do like almost nothing in this game.
Almost all of his yards came after the catch. He had 15 completions and averaged 11 yards per
attempt. That's disgusting. That's disgusting. So, all right, let's move on. Minnesota at Tampa
Bay. I'm pretty sure this game set the record for most blitzes in a single game. Both,
both these teams were blitz crazed. There was injury carnage all over the field.
Justin Jefferson. How long are we going to be down? Justin Jefferson, Scott. I know you said at the
show but remind everyone uh jeff thinks it could be an i r stint for jesson jefferson he if he had a guess
three to four weeks high ankle um high ankle yeah yeah and then addison had a pretty high target
share when he left the game right ryan did you write about that yep 35 percent target share for jordan
addison after the first drive after jefferson left the game so that's i i mean i had kind of written jordan
Addison off a little bit after the first couple of weeks, but I think with Kyler Murray,
there could be some chemistry there down the field. Like that's, that's something. I think that's
like worth a legit upgrade to Addison's outlook. But other than that, the only guy with more
than like two targets was Aaron Jones. So another offense that, yeah, it's like a massive
downgrade for everybody on the offense with Justin Jefferson, not there. But if it becomes more
concentrated. Maybe that is, yeah, it makes these guys a little bit more like flex viable,
but it's, yeah, just a little, not a little, extremely disappointing. Extremely, yeah,
it sucks. Aaron Jones is hilarious. The dude had, what, 22 touches, but he looked like after everyone,
he was dead. He was dying. He wanted to leave the game. Just looks so banged up and old. It's
it's crazy this man can take 22 touches in the game so um and the Tampa base like both
these teams were trying to lose the game no one wanted to actually win the game it was
Baker Mayfield looks completely lost in the sauce um I I think something looks wrong with his arm guys
and I know he's got the thumb now and so we won't be able to find out for for some time
but so many of his passes lacked velocity and then he was pulling this Drake may thing
where he couldn't identify coverages.
He was so slow getting to his read.
He's always leaned into the see it, throw it,
kind of quarterback style of play,
like as all Lincoln Riley quarterbacks do.
But it was really bad today.
Just like absolutely could not see what was happening in front of him.
And then the ball just lacked juice at pretty much all levels of the field.
So I'm pretty concerned about him long term,
even when he comes back from the thumb injury.
But what do we do with the pass catchers in Tampa?
I mean, I think I don't know.
Is it the backup quarterback, Ryan?
Yeah.
So you're going to have to give me your take on Jalen Daniels, Brett,
because I do not have a Jalen Daniels take.
But my initial reaction is to throw my hands up and run away from all of this.
Yeah, I mean, he had a great training camp from what we were told, you know.
I didn't get to see him in practice every day.
Obviously, he was a six-year player in college.
Like, and all at the same school, too, which is like,
never done anymore, right? He played six years at Kansas, which is crazy. It was never like a
super productive player, you know, low completion percentage. I don't know. Like he was not a good
prospect at all. I can't believe they decided to only keep two quarterbacks and he was one of them.
Yeah, he beat out Jake Browning. Browning's been pretty pretty buns for a while now. I mean,
he got benched pretty quickly last year after Burrow went down. So that's true. Like they traded for
Joe Flacco, he was so bad, you know, like, I wonder if Tampa's now going to be in the market for a quarterback.
It feels like they have to. They're sitting there. Oh, and three.
Bro, there's a lot of teams in the market for quarterbacks right now. And there's, there's not too many
quarterbacks. Yeah, who's on the market? Exactly. J.J. McCarthy, Anthony Richardson, maybe,
I don't know. Joshua Dobbs.
Yeah, where's I mean, I'm just saying like, Josh Johnson? Can you start Jalen Daniels guys, for real?
Like, was, wasn't he undrafted? He didn't get drafted?
He was an underrafted free agent.
Easton Stick is on the practice squad was the only note I had.
He spent like half his career at slot receiver.
He's like played both quarterback.
I don't know.
This is this is gross.
Yeah, but anyway, this is really bad for Emeka, Buka, who's back.
Right now he rings dead last and catchable air yard percentage.
Did you see him trip on nothing today?
Which is exactly where he ranked last year.
What was that?
Did you see him trip on nothing today?
Oh, God.
No, he pulled the trail on.
Unexplicably fell down.
Just caught a ball and just bit the bit the dust.
And we're like, what?
That should have been a big game.
Nope.
Or DFS Discord channel said he,
Ibuka saw you comp him to Traylon Burks and decided to retire because he disappeared in the stat line today.
Fun times.
Bucky Irving may or may not be injured.
Is that what we're hearing?
But at Belcal roll once again.
Yeah.
same thing yeah so that's so what do we do with the backfield there i know i know we'll do the
waiver wire show scott but early look i mean well we have to find out what's going on with this
injury but like assuming he's fine he remains a by low because this this usage is good and like he's
a good pass catcher where even if the offense sucks like hopefully he just gets a bunch of checkdowns
okay do how do you see it right i see it in that sense yeah he will he should be fine because of the
role. I'm like less excited about it now just because I think part of my
Bucky Irving Bilo enthusiasm was hey what if this Buccaneers offense is secretly good
and they figure out the turnovers and the play volume comes up and things just click and
work more. But I have like way less hope for that certainly in the short term with the
quarterback situation now. So it's kind of yeah like technically he's a by low but also I
I don't know that he's going to go win you your league if you get a good price on him or anything like that at this point.
Schedule does lighten up the next few weeks.
They get Green Bay next week, Dallas and week five.
Pitt and week six can be tough, but then Carolina week seven, Atlanta week eight, Chicago week nine.
Like they do have a really...
You just talked me back into it.
All right.
Yeah, they have a really easy schedule.
Yeah, yeah.
From a defensive standpoint, I'm not saying they're going to win all those games, but like, you know, way less resistance in run.
defense. So, okay, let's move on. Baltimore at Dallas. This was, I mean, just an absolutely absurd
game. Baltimore ends up winning in one of the craziest fashions I've ever seen. Derek Henry looks
like a monster. Ryan, you have a great George Pickens stat. Do you want to start there?
Yeah. So just looking at the top three pass catchers for the Cowboys this year, by target share,
it's George Pickens tied for first place with C.D. Lamb, both of them are
24% next is Jake Ferguson at 11%. By targets inside the 10 yard line, it's George Pickens and
C.D. Lamb tied for first with three apiece, Jake Ferguson with two. But then by fantasy points
per game, it's C.D. Lamb with 23.6 with three touchdowns on the year. Jake Ferguson, 11.1,
with three touchdowns on the year. And George Pickens all the way down at 10.3 because he has not
scored a single touchdown this season, despite the usage being functionally identical to what
C.D. Lamb has had. That's not like strictly true. Lamb has more XFP, probably more catchable
targets and all that. Like it, it's not quite that simple, but yeah, just from a very like basic
on paper level. Yeah, Pickens is massively underproducing. I'm comfortable calling him a massive
by-low at this point. Yeah, Pickens had two.
like end zone fades today and dack overthrew him by like 30 yards on both of them you're just like
why why can't we just put it on him you know he's one of the best contested catch receivers in the
league so just put it on him man but uh that uh on the baltimore side zay flowers returned
kind of a quiet day until like really late he kind of turned it on a little bit derrick henry
that's not his fault he he played on 21 and 64 snaps we knew coming into this he was
Yeah.
Wasn't quite 100% was going to be on a snap count.
But again, like you see why we've,
we've had him as like the number one by-low every single week.
Because in week one,
he had 150 yards on only 11 routes.
Today he had 84 yards on just 21 of 64 snaps.
So he's getting it done with part-time usage.
Just wait for him to get back to full health and earn a full-time role.
And you saw it in week, too, as well,
with the Rashad Bateman in the,
Zay Flowers role guy who's never earned targets was the the alpha in week two so
yeah remain extremely bullish on Zay Flowers you know still a by low honestly
because like right Ryan like where where do you have him in your rest of season
rankings like wide receiver five wide receiver six he's probably in most
casual leagues he's probably being valued as you know high-end wide receiver two
yeah he's probably no worse than wide receiver nine
or 10 for me in rest of season ranks.
Yeah, he, despite the part-time usage,
had a 30% target share this week, which is crazy.
I didn't even realize how few snaps he played until Scott just brought that up.
But yeah, he's at he had a 30% target share today,
33% in the first half of week one before he left that game.
In the six quarters that he's played this year,
he has 56% of his team's receiving yards,
which for perspective, like the best mark in a decade was J.S.
S& last year with like 48%.
So Flowers is just dominating usage anytime he is not even when he's on the field, just when he's available in the game, even if he is being limited in a part-time role. So yeah, it's pretty crazy stuff.
It was kind of part-time, not really, though. Like Lamar threw 20 passes, Zay ran like 20 routes.
Oh, okay.
Okay, yeah.
They literally played him on like one rundown. And I think he got the ball on that play, actually.
didn't he have a carry in this game?
I don't know, but yeah, that makes sense to me.
That's like the, that was like the La McConkey Week 2 role where he ran all the routes,
but just was in on zero run plays.
Yeah, he had one carry for 20 yards in this game.
Oh, wow.
I don't know that he played another run, run snap.
So that's hilarious.
Yeah, awesome role for him.
Derek Henry also an awesome role, right?
26 carries.
This is, this is crazy.
and now he's he just passed Marcus Allen
on the all-time touchdown list.
He's going for the top.
I think that's his goal here.
He has six touchdowns in three games.
One of my bold predictions last year
was Derek Henry breaks the rushing touchdown record
in a single season.
And he might do that this year.
Might have just been a year early on that one.
Y Lamar doesn't really run in the red zone anymore,
does he?
No.
No.
He has it for a couple years, right?
Over the last three or four years,
something like that,
Trevor Lawrence has nine more rushing touchdowns
of the Lamar Jackson.
That's just crazy.
All right,
last game of the slate
we're going to talk about today
is the Raiders and the Saints.
Brock Bowers go boom.
That's what I got for you guys.
Ryan, tell me about Brock Bowers go boom.
Yeah, of course,
insane stat line,
vintage Brock Bowers,
we just got him back immediately.
We didn't have to wait for him to be limited
for a game.
they didn't mess around at all.
39% target share today.
That's the most of his entire career.
That's the most that any tight end has seen so far in any game this season.
And it's a top five single game mark by any tight end dating back to 2023.
Only a few guys have ever had a game like this.
There was like one Harold fan of game.
I'd love to know how many passes their quarterback actually through.
Because like I could see it being like a 20 pass at 10.
game but Kirk Cousins kind of aired it out in this one. Yeah. Yeah, there was like a
Trey McBride one that was probably a lot of pass attempts, a Harold's fan in one. There was like a
probably BS KDOT in one. I think I think the game that all of Tampa Bay's receivers were
injured and Liam Cohen said I'm going to stunt on everybody and make KDOT and into
Trey McBride this week. That was about a 40% target share. Yeah. But that that's what
we're talking about. It's just insanely rare usage that Bowers just saw.
that all tight ends almost never see.
Kirk was also legitimately playing the F-It Brock down there somewhere game.
Like seriously, when you go through the targets and watch the tape, it's, it's ridiculous.
Kirk was just throwing it up to him and Brock was moths and kids on the sideline.
Like it was pretty fantastic.
I was skeptical guys coming off the knee.
He'd be, he'd have that level of role.
But boy, was I wrong.
So kudos to him.
This is the single biggest thing I wanted to talk to.
you about Brett because I saw the tweets I didn't really watch too much of this game but I saw the
tweets Bowers was Las Vegas's ex wide receiver on three of the first four plays of the game and
then you had Ted Wynn tweeting about it as well they kept lining him up outside and he was beating
cornerbacks on you know third down snaps and and you know getting the first down and that happened
multiple times I asked to Max Tuscano remember the tight ends about
this, he said a few things. He said, one, his agent should be fired if he doesn't try to
switch labels and get everyone to call him a wide receiver, not a tight end for more money
with the contracts. And then in follow up, it's like, no, he's actually like pretty good.
Like he could be a real NFL wide receiver. He's basically in Max's estimation, Jacoby Myers,
but with more yak and more juice, which is like insane for a tight end. It's like, oh,
impossible. And that's just kind of how rare and special Brock Bowers is. But I'm curious to hear
your take, Brett, because we spent a lot of time this offseason talking about this, how it should be
easy for defenses to scheme out and opposing teams number one if it's a tight end because you just
stick a cornerback on them. But it appears like, yeah, they stuck their best cornerback on him,
but he was routing them up and winning. No. No. This is just completely absurd.
take. Whoever that was that said that. That's just, he's a tight end, guys. He's a tight end.
He didn't play X receiver. They did move him out wide sometimes, but he was playing tight end.
He was playing slot in line, fullback. He'd lined up at fullback a couple times. Like,
he's a tight end, guys. And he moves like a tight end. A really athletic tight end, like a great
freaking athlete at tight end, but he's a tight end. There was, you know, the Saints didn't play
hardly any man coverage in this game, mostly zone.
Brock had the wins against cornerbacks you're talking about, Scott,
were contested catches on the sideline,
which is exactly why you do that, right?
You put him out wide.
You like the matchup because he's bigger and stronger than the corners,
not more athletic, right?
And he won those reps.
It's great.
Everything else was pretty much zone, zone beater type stuff.
So, yeah, I mean, just, yeah, great tight end.
Ryan, though, I'm asking you now,
is this the JSN role?
Should we expect Kubiak to just force feed
Brock Bowers every single week?
I don't know that I want to compare it to the JSN role.
I don't know that you're going to get the level of downfield explosiveness
where JSN is averaging like plus six fantasy points over expectation
and just getting all of his efficiency on big plays
in completely just maugging everybody
and like goading dumb fantasy analysts like me
into saying he has to regress because of it.
I don't know that that's what we're going to see with Bowers.
But yeah, I mean, in terms of target volume,
why would this not be just kind of what we see every week?
Not quite to this extent,
but looking at all of the other receivers on this offense,
I don't see why Bowers wouldn't be the featured weapon,
the most targeted player every single week.
Like this is just, I don't know.
It's just Trey McBride, basically.
is kind of how I look at it now.
Yeah, again, for emphasis,
Bowers had 13 targets, no other player had more than four.
And they lost Jackbatch.
And they lost Jackbatch.
Hey, your guy, was it Kobe White?
Another touchdown?
One target, one tutty.
Hey, hey, it's Cody White, okay?
Cody, geez, sorry.
The guy has three touchdowns.
Put some respect on his name, please.
No kidding.
On the other side of the bowl, Tyler Shuck, another QB.
Hold on.
I want to talk about.
I don't want to talk about.
Mike Washington you're yeah you're gonna annoy me we don't we don't need to talk about
Mike Washington absolutely you're gonna try to make a case for my run right that was so
cool guess who came in the game afterwards for the rest of the game right ashton
Gentie guess who had 22 touches again ashen Gentie there's no Mike Washington
conversation I hate to do it to you I asked and Gentie is on is still on
Trent Richardson watch maybe not Trent Richardson watch he's on Naji
Harris watch why on Leonard Furnett
watch ashton genti's a phenomenal athlete yeah he had under 3.0 yards per carry which he's had in
every single game of his career except for two he he has on 329 career carries he has four runs of
18 plus yards mike washington on 15 career carries has two such runs yeah mike washington
being used as a change of pace yeah his 36 yard touchdown came on second one it was a pass
down they weren't even playing the run they were trying not to get gashed by play action down
the field and then they got gashed by a stupid run.
Listen, volume and usage is amazing for Ashton.
Like this is top three volume and usage, but because he's so inefficient, it's only, what,
fringe RB1 production.
And so just keep an eye on this because if Mike Washington were to steal work, then, you know,
it's, it could be problematic.
But right now, no, yeah, this is, this is an easy fantasy RB1 because the volume's so good.
Ryan Kubiak keeps saying we want to get Washington more involved, but he ain't getting him more involved.
So what does that tell you?
Yeah.
Well, that was the issue with it.
Like he had a bad collegiate profile, but he was also just like never a volume back in college either.
So yeah.
All right.
Tyler Shuck on the other side of this, another QB1 performance, right?
This QB1.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He looks awesome.
And he's still relative.
I know this isn't the waiver wire.
He's still relatively unknown, though.
Guys, you're projecting him as a QB1 the rest of the season, right?
Oh, yeah.
Yes.
Right.
Zero reason this guy shouldn't be owned in your fantasy league.
If he's not, please, you know, hammer him on the waiver wire.
But because of his production, we got Chris Olive with another banger, nine receptions on 13 targets, 107 yards,
Joanne Johnson with another eight grabs.
Like, this is really nice, unless you're Scott Barrett, who played Devon Valle in DFS,
instead of Chris Olave but you know Scott no I played
Chris Lave is what I is what I learned from that yeah I was Joanne over
Velae on the double in advance matchup Scott you didn't read it this week I should
should have done it should have done it you know this game broke the NFL record for
for touchdown scored by tight ends there were six touchdown scored by tight ends in
this game wow yeah Juan Johnson had two Noah Fant had two Brock Bowers had one and
Michael Mayer had one.
It's insane.
Touchdown world.
Yeah.
Hey, Ryan, who is the running back to pick up if Travis A-chan's out a while?
Is it Kendrae Miller?
Is it Alvin Kamara?
Or is it going to be probably a perfect 50-50 split between them?
It's probably just Tyler Shuck is the running back to pick up.
A-chan actually had a really great role until he got hurt.
Like he was dominating touches.
I'm sure, you know, we can pull the stats for you guys later in the week, but he, you know, he had 15th.
Go ahead.
For the first time all season.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah.
The role was awful.
And then he got hurt.
So it's just sad, hashtag sad.
So, all right.
We ready to get out of here?
Sure.
Let's do it.
Scott and I will be back this week.
Thank you, Ryan, for joining the show.
Guys, Ryan writes the everything report.
He writes advanced matchups, fantasy points.com.
Check out everything he's writing.
writing. Also go to X right now. He dropped his usage thread. It's like how many tweets is it,
Ryan, like 30? It's like yeah, it's 30 different takeaways. There's probably an average of like
two tweets per takeaway. So yeah, 50, 60 tweets or so that you can scroll through and read.
That is absolutely absurd. It's definitely worth reading. Read every bit of it. Bookmark it.
Come back to it later. It's awesome. That's going to do it for us today, guys. Thanks for listening.
We are out.
