Week four, fantasy football, top 10 takeaways, instant reactions, and breaking injury news,
Starting point is 00:00:37 you need to know. Fantasy Football Daily, right here on fantasy points. Let's get it. Talking about week four. And this is a tough one for me because I, when the Malik neighbors injury news dropped earlier, it like completely took the wind out of my sale. I live on Long Island. I am friends with many Giants fans.
Starting point is 00:01:07 My sons love Malik Neighbors. I love Malik Neighbors. Everyone loves Malik Neighbors. Malik Neighbors is one of the most fun players to watch in the NFL, a young dynamic talent on a team that now had all this hope with Jackson Dart starting. And the Giants win the game, 2118, huge win for New York, huge win for Brian Dable, huge win for Jackson Dart. But it looks like Malik Neighbors is lost for the entire season.
Starting point is 00:01:37 season. This is one where it's really difficult to unpack it. We don't know everything, but it sounds like it's a torn ACL. That's what the team thinks. There's going to be an MRI Monday, but it sounds like a season-ending injury from Malik Neighbors. This is going to put his beginning of the 2026 season as a slight setback. He played 15 games last year as a rookie. this year he's going to play far fewer. We know how talented he is, but the injuries are just an absolute killer. For me personally, it's a absolute gut punch.
Starting point is 00:02:14 I had him on several high stakes teams. I have him on an FFPC main event team that I share with Scott Barrett. I also have him on my FFPC big payback team. So like for me personally, Malik Neighbors was not only a player that I enjoy watching and that I'm rooting for, but it's a player that I have a huge amount of money
Starting point is 00:02:33 in as well. So Malik neighbors, this one is an absolute gut punch. Now, if you have Malik neighbors on your fantasy team, it's the time to dig your heels in and work hard to keep your team afloat. If you can get to a fantasy football playoffs, you can still win your fantasy league. When you get to single elimination fantasy football, like a lot of leagues are out there, you can still win your league. And I'll repeat that again, because when you lose a first round pick, it's awful. But you can still win your league. So it's not the time to throw the towel in for sure. Hopefully you drafted well.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Hopefully you're hitting the waiver wire every single week. I know I am. But it's certainly a massive gut punch, a massive loss. What is this going to do for the Giants? You're going to see the Giants become more run-centric. Cam Scadaboo looks really, really good. Cam Scadaboo looks good. And we're seeing Cam Scadaboo having a great deal of success.
Starting point is 00:03:29 We're also seeing Jackson Dart offering a bit of a rushing upside that we haven't seen since really the dable Daniel Jones early days, like the 2022 days. So Jackson Dart, I think next week you're going to see some more design runs for him. But if we look at Cam Scataboo from Sunday, 25 carries, huge, huge amount of confidence put in the rookie to put the team on his back with those 25 carries. Now, the production for Scadaboo wasn't great, 13 points, but he still gets you there if he's your flex with 13 points right there. for Dart, I think Dart just has the sort of the it factor. You could tell the team was very, very into him early in the game,
Starting point is 00:04:12 getting behind the rookie. And I think Dart has a very, very bright future for the Giants. We're going to see, though, again, this was a huge, huge loss for them. So Dart, the best thing about his game today, the passing was certainly lacking 111 passing yards, but exactly what you wanted to see for him as a runner, 10 carries for 54 yards and a touchdown. some very, very positive signs.
Starting point is 00:04:35 So we start out with talking about a somewhat of a funeral. Let's talk about a coronation. And Puka Nakua is the league winner right now. I mean, this is unbelievable what we're seeing out of Pukua. We've seen this in the past where Sean McVeigh oversaw a wide receiver one overall season from Cooper Cup, where we saw Cooper Cup back in 2021, 2022, just going crazy. He averaged 25.9 points per game was the wide receiver one overall. Then was the wide receiver one overall the following season with 22.4 points per game before going down with an injury.
Starting point is 00:05:13 And of course, it ended up being Justin Jefferson. But Cooper Cup was electric. Anybody who had him that year, you probably won some money in fantasy that year because it was sort of like having a high end QB1 at your wide receiver position. it was a ridiculous, ridiculous cheat code. And we're seeing that again with Puka Nakua this year. Nakua is just on fire. This is the wide receiver one overall. It's way too early to say it's a for sure thing.
Starting point is 00:05:42 But we talked about it last week on several podcasts. I think this week it becomes more and more apparent. He's had back-to-back 15 target weeks. This game he had 13 catches for 170 yards and a touchdown. He's a week winner and he's a league winner. So when I say that, you're going to see spike weeks like this that can help you win your week. And there's going to be more weeks like this than maybe the market is counting for. So Pukunakua, I think is the league winner.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Simply remarkable the scoring numbers we're seeing from him. And Pukua is the bet to not only be the wide receiver one overall, but probably the league winner in fantasy football, just absolutely ridiculous stuff. stuff there. The Rams win a very big game over Indianapolis. I think if you're betting on this Indianapolis Colts team, this was always a game you sort of circled as one that they were going to struggle to win. They had their moments. We'll talk about Tyler Warren a little bit later, but the Rams really, really a positive win for them. The Rams could have been off to an even hotter start with that Philadelphia game where they had the huge lead, Philly came back. Rams looked
Starting point is 00:06:51 like a viable contender in the NFC right now, and they're going to go with Pukukukua. And hey, We saw Cooper Cup win a Super Bowl MVP. Could we see that from Pooka Nakua as well? Wild, wild times. I think history repeats itself this year with a wide receiver one overall in a Sean McVeigh offense, a cheat code for you in fantasy football. A player that broke out and there's tons of rookie running backs. We've been talking about it for weeks.
Starting point is 00:07:15 We've talked about Judkins. We've talked about Hampton. We've talked about Scataboo. We're going to talk about Gentie a little later. But let's talk about Woody Marks because a huge step forward with Woody Marks. In week three, we saw sort of a big signal with Woody Marks having a 49% snap share. Today, the snaps went up to 58%. The winless Texans win a big game.
Starting point is 00:07:35 They completely shut out the Tennessee Titans. Callahan's on the way out there. This is a disaster team in Tennessee. But a positive for Texans where they embrace Woody Marks. Woody Marks was in college a long time. And in college, there was one thing he continually did. he caught a ton of passes. He caught passes at Mississippi State.
Starting point is 00:07:57 He caught passes at USC. Woody Marks is a player that can catch passes. And that gives him a fantasy floor. And I think that's an important one. Texans are one and three. Not everything is going to go his way game flow-wise. But for Woody Marks, I think he can thrive in any sort of a game flow if you give him 60% snapshot.
Starting point is 00:08:16 He had 17 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown today. But he also added four catch. for 50 yards and a touchdown as a receiver. Five targets, which was the second most on the Texans, I think Woody Mark should be treated as a low end running back two moving forward. It might sound a little bit aggressive, but this is an offense that needed a spark. I think they found one in Woody Marks,
Starting point is 00:08:41 and I think they're going to continue to lean into him. And again, this is a reflection on his skills as a receiver, but I didn't anticipate we'd see too many 17 carry games for Woody Marks. Marks. So they obviously have a little bit of a confidence level in him as a runner as well. For me, I was projecting Marks to be a guy who'd maybe end up with 12 carries and then do his work as a receiver. So Houston obviously sees him that way. And Woody Marks did take a big step forward last year at USC at a thousand plus rushing yards, which again, it took him a while to get there in college, but he's there. And Woody Marks, I think, has a chance to be an RB2 moving forward.
Starting point is 00:09:20 talking about a player who could be an RB1 moving forward, and that's Travis ETN. The storyline from the season with Liam Cohen has dramatically shifted. In the preseason, it was Liam Cohen is going to be this person who elevates the talent of Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter. I don't need to talk to you about BTJ. BTJ, another sort of lifeless game to him. Nothing that's going to get you excited as a fantasy manager. The storyline then shifted a little bit.
Starting point is 00:09:50 to let's keep an eye on this rookie basal tootin basal tutin's going to end up having a takeover in the jacksonville backfield because it's tank bigsby it's travis et n and tutin's going to end up being the one there tutin's going to be this year's bucky irving you heard the storylines all summer long and certainly i talked about them as well there's a lot of love for basial tutin at fantasy points but travis et n all of that love should go to travis etienne et n is on one right now as a runner carries for 124 yards and a touchdown today. He out touches Basial Tutin 20 to 5. Three games this season for Travis ETN was 70 or more rushing yards.
Starting point is 00:10:32 He had zero of those in 2024. We go back to ETN in 2023, 2022. We're back there right now with ETN. And all of the talk of ETN is going to get traded. That's out the window. The Jaguars are three and one. The Jaguars can win the A. F.
Starting point is 00:10:50 South, Jacksonville and Indianapolis are both in very good shape, but the vibes are really strong with Jacksonville right now. Are they a perfect team? No, they are not. But they are three and one and they just beat the undefeated San Francisco 49ers. And the person to lead them doing so was Travis Eton. So for me, Travis ETN, this is just an absolutely tremendous start to the season. It's sort of like found money for dynasty managers who still rob.
Starting point is 00:11:20 And if you drafted him and redraft, it's found money as well because you were able to get him in this ambiguous backfield discount because of the presence of Biggsby, because of the presence of Tutin. And ETN is giving managers who had him this incredible flex value or RB2 value, however you choose to use him. ETN looks, he just looks the part too. Like anybody's sort of tossing aside week one, this is sort of cemented. This is San Francisco. This is a real defense. And Robert Sala talked about Travis Eton as well.
Starting point is 00:11:56 Robert Sala talked about just how good he looks. I think we need to embrace the fact that ETN is here to stay and is a fantastic, fantastic value for fantasy managers. I think the action here is actually, there's still a little bit of in the marketplace, not necessarily confidence level with Travis ETN managers, where I think he's actually a trade candidate where you're buying him high, but the person who is rostering him is certainly not valuing him like the production
Starting point is 00:12:22 that he has. Is there a little bit of risk to this one? Sure, but I'm willing to believe my eyes and willing to believe in a Travis ETN bounce back season. And this could end up being the narrative for a number of backs this year. We're seeing it with a number of these backs sort of drafted in his range where it was sort of the hero RB running back build, the draft the running back early and then wait a little bit, you could have had hits with guys like ETN, you could have had hits with guys like J.K. Dobbins.
Starting point is 00:12:51 We're going to kind of unpack that throughout the year. But right now, Travis ETN looks like a very, very solid pick to have made and a potential player that could help you win championships. We'll keep this one short and sweet. If you have Ashton Genty on your fantasy team, you are feeling unbelievable. This is the first Ashton Genty I'm Him moment in the NFL. And this is this is just why he was drafted so early. This is why the fantasy community and the NFL community and the scouting community and the Dynasty community and the Debbie community. And any single community associated with this thing of ours was so excited about him
Starting point is 00:13:30 is because of the potential for games like this. Vegas plays in a very close game. And I'll repeat that. It's a very close game. Vegas misses a field goal at the end. They let Chicago score a late touchdown. DeAndre Swift gets that late touchdown. But Vegas, a very close game.
Starting point is 00:13:50 Ashton Jetti goes nuts. 21 carries, 138 rushing yards, and a touchdown. He also has two receiving touchdowns. Minimal production, two catches, but they both go for touchdowns. he's the RB one overall on the week, a 33 point week for him. And this was a massive one for Gentie because it just seemed like there was a lack of connection between like Pete Carroll, Chip Kelly and what Gentie could do. Gentie did not have a game this season heading into week four where he average four yards per carry. And he finally gets there six point six yards per carry.
Starting point is 00:14:30 The touches go up dramatically. he had 17 in week three, which was a little bit of a signal for us. Now he goes up to 23 in week four. Next week they play the Indianapolis Colts on the road. And I'm willing to bet that we see Ashton Genti with 20 or more touches again. It's going to be really hard to unpack this. This is the offensive focal point for the biggest Raiders right now. Brock Bowers, the production is certainly not there.
Starting point is 00:14:56 The usage is not there. I think that the Raiders need to lean into Genti. This was a huge one for him. and a huge one for fantasy managers rostering him. Sort of like a like they wrote me off moment, but I didn't write back. That's Ashton Genty. The first of many I'm Him games in the NFL.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Ashton Genty, unbelievable looking this week. Got to talk about Xavier Worthy. And this is one that anybody who consumes my content, I get into it with people about Xavier Worthy. Because Xavier Worthy was a guy that this offseason, I'm sort of pounding the table for, getting a lot of arguments with some very smart people who were anti-Zavier Worthy.
Starting point is 00:15:35 A little bit of a victory lapping from some of those people when Worthy went down in week one, but Worthy didn't stay out for long. Worthy showed a certain toughness to come back from an injury like that. Take yourself back to Friday of the week one. Worthy gets injured on that first play, basically the first play of the game for the Chiefs offense. Travis Kelsey bumps into him,
Starting point is 00:15:55 and we're thinking it's the season's over. And it was catastrophic. And you're having flashbacks, fantasy football PTSD back to last year where Patrick Mahomes and Rashi Rice like collided and Rashi Rice lost for the year. We're like, this can't happen again to a Kansas City chiefs wide receiver. And where they bounced back. He almost came back in week three.
Starting point is 00:16:19 They held them out. And then week four. And Kansas City needed this one. Kansas City went up against the Baltimore Ravens. We know the history between the Ravens and the Chiefs. And they went out and they not. only one, but they won handily. The Chiefs improved the two and two with a huge 37 to 20 win. And for me, my takeaway from here is the presence of Xavier Worthy has unlocked the Kansas City
Starting point is 00:16:47 offense. Worthy leads Kansas City in receiving yardage and he leads them in rushing yardage. We see the manufactured rushing attempts, which make Worthy so valuable to fantasy managers. He has two carries for 38 yards and Kansas City can't run. So getting two carries for 38 yards out of Worthy leads them in rushing yards. And also it's just it helps them. It helps them move the sticks. It helps them have the explosive play element to their offense. Worthy adds five catches for 83 yards as a receiver on eight targets.
Starting point is 00:17:21 So Worthy, this is a sign of things to come. And what did this do? Patrick Mahomes ends up with four passing touchdowns. Mahomes was fantastic. Kansas City, of course, rolls. And what else do we have coming? We have Rashi Rice right around the corner. Now, I think this is a sign of things to come. The chiefs are back to being a pass-happy offense. And this offense could actually explode when Rashi Rice gets here. And I'm sure there's going to be a lot of eye rolls out here saying, you know, Theo, we've heard this for a couple years. But Patrick Mahomes has not been this guy who's been cooking for fantasy.
Starting point is 00:17:55 But today just goes and shows you four passing touchdowns against Baltimore. And Baltimore is a soft defense right now. Don't get it twisted. But when Rashi Rice gets back and this offense looks complete, you're going to have Rashi Rice, the stick mover, the target earner, with Xavier Worthy, the big play operator who's also going to get his fair share of targets. This offense will stay wide receiver-centric. You will have guys like Tyquan Thornton, who's playing very, very well,
Starting point is 00:18:22 guys like Hollywood Brown sort of slide into their natural roles as complimentary receivers. You're going to have Travis Kelsey and his role. now as an older player as a complimentary piece, and Kansas City has a chance to be a very fantasy-friendly offense for moving forward. If you have Patrick Mahomes, you're going to increase him. His outlook is very strong. If you have Xavier Worthy, he's right in your lineup next week.
Starting point is 00:18:45 And if you have Rashi Rice, the weight is almost over. You're almost around the corner with Rashi Rice. Be a little more patient, grind through these weeks, and when you get Rice back, this offense could really take off, and Rice is going to benefit from that sort of. of environment when he steps back on an NFL field. Talk about the Cleveland Browns rookies. So I hate doing this where, you know, the story could be Detroit and we could just talk all nice about the Lions. The Lions beat the hell out of a team that they're supposed to beat.
Starting point is 00:19:14 They win 3410 over Cleveland, but we got to talk about the Browns rookies because we see Cedric, well, first of all, let's talk about Quinn Sean Judkins, okay? Quinshon John Judkins is a bell cow monster. The Browns don't care. care about the score. The Browns don't care about what the game flow is dictating. They are going to impose Quinshan Judkins on their opponents every single week. Last week we saw Judkins with a huge game against Green Bay and Judkins was fantastic. And then this week, we see the touches actually go up. And what's interesting is we see Quinshan Judkins with four catches to his name. So Judkins getting four catches is absolutely massive for him. This is a profile where if Judkins is going to get this
Starting point is 00:20:04 sort of work in games that the Browns are trailing, last week was a game where it was sort of a relatively even environment. We could understand the volume being so high. But with Judkins getting this sort of work as a receiver in the games, the Browns are trailing. So Judkins gives you 21 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown. And he has four catches for 33 yards, 21 and a half PPR points. Judkins is just fantastic. I think he's a RB1 in Dynasty hands down. And I think he's top 14, top 15 running back rest of the season and redraft. Last week he has 18 carries. This week he has 21. And we have seen him now have two games out of three games played with at least three receptions. Judkins is for real. And the Browns
Starting point is 00:20:49 are going to get whatever they can out of him on a week in, week out basis. And if we ever see a game where Cleveland gets up, you might see a 30 carry game for Judkins at some point this year. Now, the Browns aren't going to be winning too many games like that, but I think that's the sort of touch volume he's capable of taking over. Another player we're going to talk about, let's switch over to the wide receiver position, a sigh of relief game, and I'm back game for Drake London. Really, really a big sigh of relief for both the Atlanta Falcons and for Drake London. The Falcons win a big game.
Starting point is 00:21:27 The Falcons end up beating the Washington commanders. We had the disaster game for Atlanta against the Carolina Panthers. Now they go and they beat Washington. And I know Marriota was playing, but this is still a team that was in the NFC championship game last year in Washington. And Atlanta takes care of business at home, wins the game. And they put up 34 points in the process. Now, we could talk about Bijon because we talk about him every week.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Bejohn's unbelievable. Bijon had over 180 combined yards, 106 receiving yards. But the story is Drake London, because Drake London, we've been waiting for a game like this. And for him to score 25 PPR points in a game that Atlanta really needed to win, and a week where they really leaned on Drake London as their proper alpha wide receiver won, eight catches 110 yards and a touchdown, 10 targets for Drake London. he had twice as many targets as any other Falcon. This is a really big positive sign,
Starting point is 00:22:26 and I think we're going to see this more weeks like this moving forward from London than maybe we felt a couple weeks ago. So like London, we've seen now two out of the four games this year. He's had at least 10 targets, and he had another game with eight targets. The production has just not been there. They have their buy week in week, this coming week in week five. Week five, we've got to worry about the buy weeks. But I think when we come back from the buy,
Starting point is 00:22:51 you're going to see some self-scouting in the Atlanta organization. And I think you're going to see them hyper-focused on getting Drake London involved. And you're going to see a ton more Bejohn Robinson. That's the two things that work best for Atlanta. And I think we're going to see a hyper-consolidated offense moving forward. We're also getting rumors that this could be Zach Robinson as a candidate for the Oklahoma State job. That's a high, high-paying job. I don't think that that's necessarily something that's going to influence the team.
Starting point is 00:23:20 just an interesting side note. Robinson played at Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State, of course, gets rid of Mike Leach. And that's a very high-paying college job. So Robinson is a player that's very well regarded in NFL circles, but still that allure of a job that might pay, just guessing, $6 million a year, something like that. So we'll keep an eye on that one with Atlanta. Let's keep it at the wide receiver position. So we're crowning Pukukua as the wide receiver one overall. Jackson Smith and Jigba with a quiet week four, but JASN is still sort of a dark horse candidate to be the wide receiver one overall. C.D. Lamb injured. We can cross him off the list. Jemar Chase, the pure talent of Chase, we can never discount Jumar Chase. Justin Jefferson, we can't really discount, but it doesn't seem like it's his year. So we're saying Pukinakua is the wide receiver one.
Starting point is 00:24:16 Malik neighbors now looks like he's done for the year. Who's our number two kids? candidate. If it's not JSN, the number two candidate might be the sun god, Amon-Ross-St. Brown. And plenty of people who are listening to this are probably sick to their stomach, because think about how many drafts you had where you were picking like 11th or 12th or 10th. And you could have potentially walked away with a Pukkah, Amon-Raw-S-Stan-Bron start to your draft. Sickening. I know I had a couple of possibilities there where I took one of the two. I wish I would have had a combination because right now, that combination looks absolutely lethal. Amon Rae St. Brown.
Starting point is 00:24:55 This is a, this sort of a, could it happen? I think it's probably not. But if another player is going to challenge for the wide receiver one overall this year, why not the sun god? Seven catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns this week. He's had three straight games with 20 points or more scoring. Amon Ra is just locked in right now. we saw the spike week for him a few weeks ago where he had a 39 pointer. He had the three touchdown game.
Starting point is 00:25:24 And there's been four games played. And Amon Rae St. Brown has six touchdown catches. He is on pace to shatter his previous touchdown high. I think Amon Ra. So the easiest way to get to wide receiver one overall, the last four years, has been find the player with the most catches and the most targets. And Pookanakua looks like he's going to be that. But the other way to get there, the sort of break up that argument would be a guy catching an unbelievable amount of touchdowns.
Starting point is 00:25:55 And when it comes to Amman Ra, he's scoring a ton of fantasy points with it. He is lethal around the goal line and in the red zone as a receiver, a technician, and a killer. And a few players have as much chemistry with their starting quarterback as Amon Rae St. Brown does with Jared Gough. then you factor in the indoor environment games for Detroit. You've got the X factor of John Morton as the OC. Keep an eye on the sun god. Right now I think he's one of the best bets to challenge Pukinakua, if there is going to be one.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Besides Jamar Chase, besides JSN, throw Amman Ra's name into the hat as a dark horse candidate to be the wide receiver one overall this season and a tremendous pick at his ADP. Talking about a player who is a tremendous pick at his ADP, and we're talking about the wide receiver one when it comes to Pukua. How about Christian McCaffrey? Christian McCaffrey is on pace for 130 receptions this year.
Starting point is 00:26:52 He is on pace to now break the NFL record for receptions in a season. San Francisco loses to Jacksonville, but the CMC usage monster has returned where we got away from CMC as being like this target monster where he was always being well targeted, but it's sort of like the streets never forget what a peak CMC season looks like as a receiver. And I think we're seeing it again. He has 31 catches so far this year. This past game, he had 11 targets.
Starting point is 00:27:24 He caught six of them for 92 yards and a touchdown. He also adds 49 rushing yards. So San Francisco is 3 and 1, and they are completely leaning into CMC. CMC right now, your RB1 overall, is the best bet there is. again, could be plenty of drafts out there where you could have had CMC with Pooka Nakuwa. You could have legitimately drafted the wide receiver one and running back one at the turn for a lot of those early draft periods.
Starting point is 00:27:53 And hey, there's probably a lot of CMC, Alman Ross St. Brown teams out there too. So CMC looking absolutely unbelievable. San Francisco drops to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but they get Brock Purdyback. And I think things are going to work themselves out. out for San Francisco. When we look at this schedule, next week is the really big one. I mean, you could circle this one. Week six is big too. San Francisco plays the Rams on the road in
Starting point is 00:28:22 LA. That game could be an absolute shootout environment. You get the McVeigh-Shannahan game. That game is a big one to circle for fantasy football managers, for DFS managers, really, really a tilting one. But Christian McCaffrey has not scored fewer than 22 points at any point this season in a week. Unbelievable. Goes to L.A. and then he goes to Tampa Bay in week six. So you play, you're probably your biggest challenger in the NFC West in the Rams. Then you go and play a team that might win the NFC South in Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay loses to Philly this week, but they're still a team that's won a lot of close ones. Then you get the Atlanta Falcons coming into San Francisco, there's really no signs that Christian McCaffrey is going to slow down at all.
Starting point is 00:29:08 Then you get these two games where they're going to be pretty heavily favorite favorites at home, or excuse me, on the road against Houston, actually not massive favorites, but they'll be favored on the road in Houston. They'll probably be favored on the road in New York, and then they get L.A. coming back. You also with San Francisco, you have that late by week. So the Christian McAfree sort of revenge tour, this is going to continue. And CMC just looks absolutely twas. horrific right now. If you drafted them, just keep riding it. You're going to enjoy Spike Week after Spike Week. Talking about the top player at the position, let's talk about Tyler Warren. And Tyler Warren dropped an 18-pointer this week at the tight end position. Of course,
Starting point is 00:29:50 Indianapolis loses the game. The early storyline for Indianapolis has been Jonathan Taylor. He's been just fantastic this season. This was really a storyline for many weeks, because Taylor's just been special. Taylor, of course, with a quiet game, 14.6 points this week against the Rams. One positive for Taylor is we continue to see him catching passes. I think Jonathan Taylor is almost a shoe-in to set a career high in receptions. You love seeing sort of a veteran player taking his game to another level on something like being a opportunistic pass catcher. And Taylor is certainly that with Daniel Jones. Daniel Jones, of course, loves those little low A dot looks, and he gets it with the running back.
Starting point is 00:30:35 Taylor has 76 yards on the ground. So Taylor doesn't destroy your week, 14.6 points. But really the story is Tyler Warren. And Tyler Warren, we see the rushing touchdown, where they line Tyler Warren up near the goal line. They give him the ball, and he finds the end zone as a runner. This is a fun one, because we've seen him get carries in other weeks. You've seen him actually get a carry in all but one. game this year. But this week he gets two carries. Again, the yardage is not there, but he gets a
Starting point is 00:31:05 touchdown. So you get the little Taysom Hill sheet code there. He also gets 70 yards as a receiver. Tyler Warren has had 70 yards or more as a receiver in three out of four weeks. It's time to talk about Tyler Warren as a viable threat for the tight end one overall this year. It's probably not going to happen. But when you factor in the rushing yardage, you factor in the fact that that I'd saw in 18, you factor in the fact. You factor in the fact that he had 18 points this week and week four. Could Tyler Warren be trending up? Very tilting game next week for Brock Bowers managers and for Tyler Warren managers when Vegas goes into Indianapolis and you see Warren against last year's tight end one overall. I'm sure going to hear a bunch of podcasters sort of saying
Starting point is 00:31:54 it this week where they're going to say, could we see three years in a row with a rookie finishing as the tight end one overall. It's probably not going to be that. Trey McBride is just a usage king. And I think at the end of the day, Trey McBride's probably going to get there. But we have to throw Tyler Warren's name in there. He's a top four tight end rest of the season. And if you see more of these Tassum Hill type looks around the goal line, it's not great for Daniel Jones. And it's certainly not great for Jonathan Taylor. But if we can get Tyler Warren up to five, six rushing touchdowns, that makes him even more of a threat. Very, very interesting player there. let's talk about what's going on in L.A.
Starting point is 00:32:30 and Quentin Johnston is absolutely rising, and at the same time, Ladd-McConkey is struggling. QJ is this year's year three breakout wide receiver. Think back to Nico Collins in 2023. I think we're witnessing that again with Quentin Johnston. Quentin Johnston, a first-round pedigree player who had a disaster rookie year, a much improved year two and is now enjoying a ridiculous breakout performance. 13 targets for Quentin Johnson, eight catches, 98 yards, and a touchdown.
Starting point is 00:33:07 And QJ has scored 14.9 points or more in every single week this season. I hate to tell you this, but that's wide receiver one type numbers right there. He's had two games with 23 points or more. And he's outscored Ladd McConkey. every single week of the season. You've seen QJ, I'll say that again. You've seen QJ outscore Ladd-McConkie every single week of the season.
Starting point is 00:33:37 When you think about the disparity in ADP between the two of them, QJ is one of the best picks you could have made at the wide receiver position. And if you're in a shallow format, he's one of the best waiver-wire pickups you could have made probably all season long. And on the flip side,
Starting point is 00:33:53 Ladd-McConkey is a disaster right. now as a draft pick. And I remember week one when I'm sitting in Vegas, and I'll give a shout out to Dan Williamson, co-host of the Fantasy Empire podcast, and Scott Barrett co-host the School of Scott split teams of both those guys. I'm talking to both of them about like Ladd. And no one was happy about it. Ladd had 13.4 points. They almost connected on a touchdown with him. And everybody's like, oh, you know, Ladd didn't really get there. These other wide receivers like Kenan Allen, Quentin Johnson. They got there, but it wasn't Ladd. Things will correct themselves. It'll all correct itself. Everybody's kind of on that train. And it's been far from that.
Starting point is 00:34:32 Week one was the season high for Ladd-McConkey. That's the most points he scored. So it shows how expectations change for players throughout the course of the year. We're in the Kansas City game, we were really angry about 13.4 points. I think there's some Ladd-McConkey managers out there in fantasy that would be thrilled to death with 13. point four points. Two point one PPR points for Ladd today against the Giants. One catch for 11 yards on six targets. Absolutely disgusting. And he had 9.8 points in week two, 8.1 in week three, now 2.1 in week four. This is like DefCon five time for Lad managers. And where is the hope out of this usage wise? Quentin Johnson's out targeting him 37 to 27 for the season. Okay. So the
Starting point is 00:35:22 targets are going to QJ and QJ is getting the big downfield looks. QJ's outscored him in every game. Then you factor in Keenan Allen. Keenan Allen, again, it has been way more effective than Ladd. Now, Keenan Allen, again, was quiet this game. Seven targets, though. So he out targets Keenan Allen, and he has five receptions, and he gets 8.7 points to McConkey's 2.1.
Starting point is 00:35:45 So Keenan has a bad game, and he still quadruples up Ladd-McConkey's production. Okay, so the past. game there. We talk about QJ. We talk about Keenan. Now you've got Omarian Hampton who, Omar and Hampton, you know, this is, this is, I don't want to victory lap this one, but my bags are packed with Omar and Hampton probably as much as any running back right now. And Hampton had 24.9 points in week three, 27.5 this week. He would have been an even bigger discussion tonight, if not for Ashen Gentie and if not for this wide receiver conversation. But the point of Amarian Hampton is not, you know, victory lapping his scoring numbers. It's his usage is increasing.
Starting point is 00:36:26 So you have QJ and you have Amarian Hampton as sort of the one and the two right now in L.A. You've got Keenan Allen for as long as he holds up being a thing. This is not great for Ladd McConkey at all. I don't want to use the word unusable, but it's going to almost take a Keenan Allen injury for Ladd McConkey to move up into, hey, we feel fantastic about him. Now, could Ladd come out and have a spike week next week and sort of make me look stupid here? Of course he could. Ladd McConkey, we know has talent. We saw Ladd McCunkey set the NFL record for the most receiving yards for a rookie in NFL history in the fantasy, in the NFL playoffs, just a few months back. So we've seen it with our own two eyes with Ladd. For fantasy points, Ladd McCutkey's a guy who
Starting point is 00:37:12 flies off the page as his separation ability is ridiculous. He's an elite route runner, and they use him in situations where he should be more effective. So Ladd-McConkie, this is really, really troubling stuff here. But if you have Quentin Johnson, a massive, massive win. Now, I traded for QJ last week in a dynasty league, a big expensive FFPC one. One of my highest stakes leagues, I sent two seconds for QJ in that single QB format. So I sent two seconds for him and I get back QJ. That trade's gone. But can you still trade for QJ? Are there still managers out there in a redraft sense who think this has found money? You're going to offer me this wide receiver who has drafted eight rounds, 10 rounds, 11 rounds ahead of QJ. And I get an opportunity for this guy who was projected to be like the
Starting point is 00:38:04 wide receiver 15 in August for my guy who maybe might have like a little bit of decline in his production, there's still some managers out there who have redraft draft take lock. If you find a manager like that, make a trade for QJ. I think this is happening. And every year we get a surprise guy who takes a huge leap in production. And the wide receiver position, we've seen it historically where year three is a massive one.
Starting point is 00:38:31 Anybody, we're not going to throw big, we're not going to throw like huge names out there, okay? But anybody who experienced somebody like Devante Adams, okay? Devante Adams, rookie year not so good. Year two, not a whole lot. Year three, massive, massive increase. James and Williams last year, averaged about 15 points per game, 14 points something. Nico Collins was a wide receiver won in 2023. So you've seen two years in a row with a year three breakout wide receiver. QJ is this year's year three breakout wide receiver. If you have an opportunity to add him and people don't understand what they're holding, make a trade offer for him because he's legit. couple other quick takeaways. We're going to keep an eye on this Lamar Jackson hamstring. Cooper Rush came in for Lamar in the blowout loss to Kansas City. It's a hamstring injury for Lamar.
Starting point is 00:39:20 This is not Malik neighbor's time. This is not something where we're like, oh my gosh, this could be a season. This is not like that. But Lamar, we're going to keep an eye on it. We're going to see what the deal is with this one. Was this just indicative of Kansas City is going to win the game? Or is there something a little bit more there with the hamstring? you've seen Lamar miss time in previous seasons. Hopefully that he doesn't miss any time here because the Ravens absolutely need a win. But we're going to keep an eye on Lamar Jackson's hamstring. Look for late Sunday night, Monday morning,
Starting point is 00:39:50 hopefully a little bit of news there and see if we have anything else with Lamar Jackson. But that would obviously be a huge one for fantasy managers. It would sort of change things for Baltimore with how they run that offense because Rush is not a like-for-like replacement when it comes to Jackson. So we'll keep an eye on, Lamar's hamstring, a player who we were banking on to maybe be the QB1 over all this year.
Starting point is 00:40:11 We already saw Jaden Daniels miss some time two weeks in a row. Could we see a short-term absence from Lamar Jackson? Certainly hope not for my Lamar Jackson teams, but we have to be ready to pivot there. Certainly, that's the way we go in this thing of ours in a weekly game like fantasy football. I'd be able to recover. Quarterback, the best thing about quarterback is you're going to be able to find quarterbacks on the waiver wire. Make sure you're tuned in. I'm covering the waiver wire with Joe Dolan and.
Starting point is 00:40:37 Tom Brawley every week on Fantasy Football Daily and Fantasy Points YouTube. Make sure you tune it in for that. Let's talk about the Kenneth Gainwell game because this is one where everybody's going to brush this one off. Everybody's going to brush this one off. And did Kenneth Gainwell have his best scoring game of the season? Sure. Kenneth Gainwell went nuts.
Starting point is 00:40:56 He played fantastic. This is one where there's probably a couple people in it. There's probably some leagues out there where Jalen Warren was left in the starting lineup up because it was the early morning game. So some managers who had Kenneth Gainwell on their bench didn't even get them in. And there's some managers with Warren who left him in. So it's sort of a double-edged sword when you have 9.30 a.m. Eastern time. Shout out to people on the West Coast, 6.30 a.m.
Starting point is 00:41:22 I had somebody comment on X to me that they live in Hawaii. I think that's like six hours behind. So shout out to the 3.30 a.m. And if I got the time zone wrong, big apologies to people out in Hawaii. But if you're in Europe, you're in all these. places like the this is a big shift fantasy football is sort of a global game obviously it's an american game but we have a ton of people uh who over the years i've gotten to to connect with that live in different countries different parts of the country so the 930 i love it personally on the east
Starting point is 00:41:52 coast i love it uh nothing better than having early morning football if you live on the east coast i think it's great so a lot of people think it's terrible that there's these 930 games Let me know what you think in the YouTube comments, but I'm a big fan of these island games, aka the Europe games. But anyway, not the point of this. Kenneth Gainwell has six catches for 35 yards on six targets. Scores 31.4 PPR points, finds the end zone twice,
Starting point is 00:42:21 19 carries for 99 yards. And when we look at Gainwell, there's going to be a ton of people brushing this one off saying this is nothing. Like, this is a one-week thing. But he goes against a really good Minnesota day. defense with a really good coordinator in Brian Flores and he tears him up. And Gainwell has not been invisible. Gainwell had 10 touches in week one.
Starting point is 00:42:41 He had eight touches in week two. Not a whole lot in week three. That was a big Jill and Warren won against the Patriots. But Warren's missed time in multiple seasons. And Warren has a knee thing he's dealing with. So it was a surprise inactive, meaning that there were beat reporters who thought Warren could have gone. So again, Warren's probably back next.
Starting point is 00:43:03 week and this is all a moot point. But I will say, I will say Arthur Smith has been a little bit of a running back whisper over the years. Arthur Smith, I know, is sort of a villain in fantasy football. And I've certainly been an Arthur Smith hater for many years. You know, not the person, but the way he runs offenses, the things he does for us in fantasy where he's not using guys like Drake London, not using Bejohn Robinson's rookie year. Don't get me started here with Arthur Smith. But one thing Arthur Smith has been able to elevate is running backs. He's a pretty good play collar. And we think back to the Tyler Al Jir, thousand rushing yard season as a rookie. We think back to the Cordarrel Patterson, RB1 season where it was like completely out of
Starting point is 00:43:45 left field. Cordarral done really nothing from a season long sense in his entire career converts from wide receiver to running back and ends up being an RB1 under Arthur Smith. So I'm going to say never say never. Kenneth Gainwell was probably already rostered. But I don't think this is a big one like, I'm going to go sell. my Kenneth Gainwell. Like, hold on to Kenneth Gainwell here because the Steelers obviously trust Kenneth Gainwell. And we think back to Gainwell. Gainwell was always a guy that Nick Siriani really, really liked. And when he was in Philly, Nick Siriani, like, wanted to start him over D'Andre Swift, which made no sense. And Nick Siriani would, like, rock a Kenneth Gainwell
Starting point is 00:44:24 T-shirt. It was a very weird thing. Like, coaches really like Kenneth Gainwell, Siriani. And now we're seeing this sort of confidence level with Mike Tomlin and Arthur Smith when it comes to Gainwell. So that sort of thing matters. Gainwell does some things that are fantasy viable. He's a okay receiver. We see which is the six receptions. And today, 19 carries.
Starting point is 00:44:46 You don't give somebody 19 carries unless you have a little bit of confidence in them. They had Trey Sermon active. And Caleb Johnson looks like an absolute disaster. But Caleb Johnson got six carries for 22 yards. Caleb Johnson is so far from contributing on an NFL field. That's one where the dynasty community, we got a little too ahead of ourselves with Caleb Johnson. If Warren misses games, it's Kenneth Gainwell, and he's playing for an offensive coordinator that's been a little bit of a running back whisperer.
Starting point is 00:45:15 Let's talk about a mecca-egbuka briefly. A mecha Egbuka has a season high in targets, catches a long one today. And Egbuka, like we've seen this where it's been a slow drip up when it's comes to Egbuka. And now we see him with 10 targets today. And I know the game flow lent itself to this one. Philly was up. Tampa Bay had to go a little bit pass happy. But Egbuka ends up getting there. Four catches, 101 yards on 10 touchdown on 10 targets gets the long touchdown. 20.1 PPR points. Egbuka is just awesome. Egbuka, like we talked about the potential earlier in the year where maybe he wasn't getting enough targets, six target game in week one, seven and
Starting point is 00:45:58 in week two. Now it's eight in week three and it's 10 in week four. Egbuka is here to stay. In Dynasty, he's a wide receiver one. And in redraft, I think he's somewhere in the top 15. I think Igbuka is an awesome talent in a situation where they're going to use him a ton. Mike Evans misses this week. He's probably going to miss again, probably for a few weeks, not on the IR yet. But Evans, I think, could miss a few more weeks here. Egbuka, if you have him, another fantastic draft pick, really, really a few. fun one. And that pretty much wraps it up. This was really fun. Went a little long this week. A lot to unpack. Stay above water. If you lost Malik neighbors, we're going to keep on competing.
Starting point is 00:46:39 It's way too early in the season. It's week five coming up. Week five, make sure you're getting ahead of these buy weeks. Buy weeks in week five, buy weeks in week six.
