responsibly. Hey, what's up? It's John Hansen, and week number five is almost in the books. And
Brian Drake and I are back with our Sunday night reaction podcast. Another great week, honestly,
made a couple of mistakes. We'll talk about it. We'll lament and whine about how maybe Joe Flacco
should start for the Indianapolis cults for the rest of the season. And maybe they should tell Anthony
to Richardson. See you next year, bruh. So hang tight and get ready for over an hour of hashtag
analysis here on the Fantasy Points podcast. Thanks for liking and subscribing. And as always,
you are welcome. All across the fantasy universe, welcome everybody, including the guru's dog,
who joins us in the studio to the week five recap for the Fantasy Points podcast. What's up,
everybody? I'm Brian Drake, joined alongside the guru, John Hansen, public.
her at fantasy points.com. So John, tell everybody, first of all, about your dog,
Wrigley. And then secondly, what a week of analysis. Nobody's killing the props like you,
my friend. It's, it's freaking unbelievable. I mean, it's, uh, I love it. I'm addicted to being
right. I love being correct. I hate being wrong. So I'm in, I'm in a good mood yet again.
My dog Wrigley is two years old. He is a Bernadoodle. He is, he is very cool, very expressive.
eyes and very smart yeah he's my boy I was never a dog guy but I've kind of a dog I get it now I get
it like he's always there like that's my guy you know what it means my best friend basically uh you know
my wife and daughter kind of ruled a house a lot so I just sit back yeah whatever I'm just go
hang out with Wrigley man we're just going to go hang out and do dad dad dog stuff like right our
golf cart but yeah another excellent week of an
overall. I always hesitate to say that because I'm sure there's somebody out there we screwed. So sorry. This is a game of failure. But man, over the last two weeks, I think my, I think the top 20 props that I put up on the site on Sunday morning or Saturday night were 35 and five. So I mean, we're feeling it. We are, we're absolutely feeling it right now. And I love it because the data is there. And you know, I said this last week.
I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop because I will say the early games, I was like 14 and 15.
The early games, I was 15 and 1 in the early games.
And I just knew that, well, it's not going to go that well.
There'll be a regression somehow.
And that did in fact happen, although I won a couple here.
But, but yeah, a very successful week trying to think of like biggest mistakes.
You know, I did get lucky a couple times.
And I do think, I do believe in that.
Like I'm very unlucky.
So every once in a while, it's like three bad beats where I'm unlucky will equal one
win back to me in return from the football gods, basically.
So had a little bit of that going on.
Like Derek Henry over the rushing was one of my props today.
I'm like putting it in the L column at at 345 Easter.
I'm like, well, there's an L.
And then it was a double.
So luck is the residue of design, but my favorite lucky one, and it was one of my top five props, which is really the crux of it.
I want, that's it.
Like, I may need to expand it out to top 20, but I feel like, you know, not many people are playing 20 props or 10.
You might look at five.
So I'm like, all right, the top five, that's, those are really, really important.
And I want to have a very good record.
And Jerome Ford, I'm like, well, I'm screwed.
I screwed myself over.
There was analysis.
Somehow they just gave up on throwing, gave him a couple of carriers at the end,
and he hit it by a yard and a half.
So yeah, I'm in a good mood, baby.
And this is good because this will energize me.
It's like a drug.
It's like, oh, man, another great week.
Let's go for it again in week six.
You know what I mean?
Which means the article will be tight and I'll be all over it,
like the last few weeks and really all year.
And off we go.
and keep winning, hopefully.
All right, well, let's get into it.
Guru and I record this Sunday night,
as you guys are listening to this Monday at some point during the day,
just know we don't have the fantasy points data yet
that the charting doesn't come out until later on in the week.
So we're using some kind of rudimentary numbers that we can find
on Snapchat and different things like that,
but it doesn't change the analysis.
John, you must have been not only feeling great now,
but early in the day, you've got to get up early.
Your Vikings are playing across the pond,
which is a term I hate.
I don't know why I even used it.
But kind of an ugly game.
2317 win over the Jets.
And now the Jets unraveling will begin on the flight home.
We can talk about that another time.
But your Vikings are 5 and O going into a buy.
Darnold against a real tough defense,
kind of looked a little more Sammy Darnelish,
didn't throw any touchdowns, only 179.
The big story here, though,
Aaron Jones goes down with a hamstring injury,
only seven for 29 for Aaron Jones on the,
ground and Ty Chandler's got to come in and take things over. He gets you 30 yards rushing right
there. But the only score is the, the freaking fullback ham gets in the end zone here, John. I mean,
Jesus Louise. So let's start with your Vikings. What did you see here from Justin Jefferson
getting a ton of targets? Jones going out and Sammy Donald not lighting the world on fire.
Yeah, certainly a tough matchup. We did right. I did say that, look, it's not a bad schematic matchup.
so Jefferson should probably do okay
which happened I also wrote that
based on alignment numbers
Addison wasn't a void
because he would probably see the most of sauce gardener
I'm not sure if that even played out
sauce got hurt a little bit but it did seem
right
it did seem that Jefferson was on Reedmore
no one else of note did anything at all
Ty Chandler is not the greatest running back
he's really not the best RB2
I've always been a fan of his
I've mentioned before, I set up an interview with him when no one really wanted to talk to him.
Let's be honest, you know, he wasn't like heralded guy, but I requested him.
And he was like, oh, he was kind of cool about that.
Nice dude.
He'll have to be, you know, Aaron Jones has had these soft tissue issues in the past.
So, you know, he's a guy that will get 15 to 20 opportunities.
And he does have potential.
If it's clicking that week and, you know, they block it up a little bit for, he can hit some creases and, you know, take it a long way, a little bit of a home run hitter.
He is a good receiver.
So, you know, he is a pretty decent handcuffed, but I would say only for the short term.
Like if Aaron Jones, God forbid, was out for the year, you can't say, well, I'll just roll with Ty Chandler all year.
That probably wouldn't work out.
But two, three games certainly can do it, you know.
And the Vikings too, man.
They have played some good-ass teams in their 5-0.
Niners?
Oh, I guess.
Hold on a second.
Let me call up the Vikings schedule here.
I had the wrong team here.
They did play the Niners.
Giants even.
I mean, the Giants are competitive.
I mean, they beat Seattle today.
Seattle was one of the top teams in the conference.
San Francisco, Houston, Green Bay, and the Jets.
That's pretty damn impressive.
You know, because the Jets D is, they were good.
But, you know, I'm not, not, nothing of note here.
T.J. Hawkinson is probably going to miss only, I'd guess, one more game.
Yeah, they're going on by this week coming back from London.
And then, you know, we'll see because they've got the game against Detroit coming up.
And you know he's got that circle.
So if, you know, you've been hanging on to Hawkinson or maybe you can buy him on the cheap,
might not be the worst thing.
Let me throw this at you, too, John.
For you folks in defense, you know, DST League, you got a fantasy defense, whatever it is,
I would be hard pressed to drop the Vikings defense on their buy next week.
I would try to find someone else to drop because their schedule coming up for the next like seven weeks is freaking incredible.
And they're scoring.
I mean, there's always one lucky defense that they find their way into the end zone.
And it looks like right now those are the Minnesota Vikings.
Van Ginkle freaking scores every week.
So don't drop the Vikings D on by.
That's my note to you guys.
I loved it.
Watching that, of course, I'm by myself, me and the dog,
and he makes that play.
And I just yell up, I look up him like,
you just got Van Ginkled.
I mean, unbelievable.
Great performance, and they hung in there.
It was a tough, tough game, you know.
It seemed like they kept throwing it downfield,
praying for freaking flags,
because it was tough to complete forward passes.
But these are the type of games that, you know,
good teams win over for the jets um i did win uh two props so the day got off on on the right
start i wrote this morning if you read the article i'm like and and we didn't we talk about it last
week and i said look the vikings don't have a shutdown corner and and when they go up against a guy like
this in devante in in his prime and probably even still like they don't stop them i'm like
wilson's getting the ball and he did he crushed um
I also like Alan Lazzard.
I hate to say it.
I'm like, yeah, he's probably going to do it again.
It's annoying.
And he did.
He scored.
My guy, conk daddy.
My guy, conk daddy is, he's hanging in there.
Looking all right.
I mean, that throw Rogers made to him showed a lot because it took a lot of trust for him to pull the trigger on that.
So I think we're looking pretty good right now with conk daddy.
But we'll see if they get Devante.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, if they don't get Devante Adams,
Tyler Conklin is going to be exactly who we thought he was going to be.
And that is a sneaky guy that pops in the top 10 or 12.
You're like, oh, wow, look at that.
Tyler Conklin is the tight end 11 on the season.
With these running backs, last thing we'll talk about in this game,
Breast Hall, the utilization is there for Breece Hall.
He's on the field a ton.
You know, he's getting the carries.
He had nine carries, but just 23 yards.
He and, you know, Braylon Allen, both 2.6 yards of carry.
Neither guy can get in the end zone.
You know, and they're not even really doing much in terms of receiving out of the backfield.
It's just frustrating because this Jets offensive line stinks.
They didn't have Morgan Moses today.
You know, Aaron Rogers getting killed back there, so they can't run the football.
I mean, Jesus, they have a number one pick, though, and I understand Morgan Moses is pretty good,
but they got freaking Foshano, who was the number one pick.
I mean they have the reinforcements to have a better O line I mean I know it's still early in the season
but geez man it's it's week five for God's sakes and the thing that's frustrating about it is
you know so many teams that maybe this is Rogers's fault maybe they're throwing it too much I don't know
most teams are daring other teams who run the football so here are the Jets though with two really good backs and
And you're up against teams that are generally, you're looking good for volume and they still can't get the damn volume.
I mean, they're playing, I'm going to call it up right now.
They played the Titans, the Patriots, the Broncos.
You can't get volume against those teams?
Those teams suck.
It's an unimaginative offense.
It really is.
And it's just Nate Hackett shouldn't be an offensive coordinator of the NFL or high school, for that matter.
Coming up for the Jets.
They are not on buy.
They actually have to play next week.
They've got Buffalo, then Pittsburgh, New England, Houston.
So a little bit of a tough stretch here for the Jets.
You're playing some good teams here.
The Jets could realistically lose three of their next four games.
They probably will.
And then things might get ugly.
And then we'll see.
I mean, maybe it's so bad that Devante is like,
now screw this.
I'm just going to go with my other boy, Derek Carr.
in the Saints.
Could be.
All right, let's move it on here.
Fantasy Points podcast, Monday Recap Edition.
Uh-oh.
Break up the Bears, John.
They're three and two with a 36-10 week over the Carolina Panthers.
Our boy, D'Andre Swift, 21 carries, goes for 73 and a touchdown.
How about Roshan Johnson?
Only 10 carries on the day for 25 yards, but he does get two touchdowns.
So that's kind of a killer to, you know, us DeAndreau.
Dray Swift owners out there.
And really the story of this game, D.J. Moore.
It's his offense.
Like he is the alpha here, five for 105 and two scores,
kind of putting everybody in the rearview mirror, you know,
real quiet day for a dunzae and Alan.
And just it was nice to see Caleb, who we've been down on here on this show.
We'll be honest.
He hasn't looked good.
Today he did.
He looked a lot better throwing for 304 yards and two touchdowns.
Yeah, this is what I wrote in the article this morning.
the panthers defense generates the NFL's second lowest pressure rate over expectation and that could be the break that cala williams needs to have a good game
which he's really yet to have and they their secondary had actually been improving and it wasn't actually a very good schematic matchup for uh dj more so that's something i i did get wrong i didn't love dj more uh you know it's hard when you're talking season long um i thought you know
dealing with these guys i thought it might be a keenan allen game and a cole commet game i did get a cole
commit prop correct but i think allen is probably the odd man out i mean i need to see another game or two
but you know maybe he has tested positive for gerrital because this was a good spot for him and he really
he didn't really stand out at all but hey i did kind of hate unfortunately begrudgingly had to
endorse Swift and he does come through and I did you know like Rochon as a as kind of a reach too I believe
I put him as a reach actually yep I had him as a reach him and Caleb Williams and commit and I had Swift
looking better than usual along with Allen and I had Xavier Leggett looking worse than usual so yeah
I can't get every single thing right but I think Keenan Allen's a guy that you're parking his ass
now indefinitely. And he's got to get two good games in a row before we can trust him.
For the Panthers, I think everyone got fooled a little bit, John, with Andy Dalton in that
first game that he started. And everyone was like, oh, the Panthers are back. They're going
to have this lights out offense now because they've got a real quarterback. Not so much.
You know, Dalton today, 136 yards. They even put Bryce Young in for a little while when this
game was kind of out of reach. The story here, Chuba Hubbard,
13 for 97 and a score.
I've set it on this show for weeks, John,
and I keep banging the table for it.
I don't think Jonathan Brooks walks into a bell cow roll
when he's ready to go whenever that might be.
Chuba Hubbard's just too good.
He's a very, very serviceable running back.
Absolutely.
He is a little bit of a two-face in that over his career,
he's looked like kind of a different guy at times.
And part of that was coming off an injury.
and all that.
But he is absolutely settled into a place where you can commit to him,
you can count on them,
you can roll with them with volume.
Absolutely.
Three down guy as well,
for sure.
I had him as a matchup to exploit today in the article.
Absolutely.
No doubt.
So also had,
we did have this as a bad spot for Deonté.
I,
top matchups to fear.
was in fact Deontay and Dalton and Leggett basically so sometimes you know the schematics just don't
line up DJ Moore was the same deal he's similar to Deontes not as good against his own but you know
they they left open a really really big ass window on that first touchdown and you know he had a good
game because he's DJ Moore it happens but the for this for the most part the schematics have
been pointing us in the right direction more often than not and they
They did with Deontay, not as much with DJ.
And the receiver is just a bad game all around.
Chicago's got a good defense.
Nobody did anything in this one.
Let's take a quick time out, John.
When we come back on there, there's that real interesting game to talk about in Cincinnati.
What a finish between the Ravens and the Bengals.
Stick and stay right here.
It's Fantasy Points podcast.
All right, welcome back in, everybody.
John, this is a fun one.
forward to sitting in front of my TV with my son and watching a lot of this game today.
I'm talking Ravens and Bengals, fantasy implications all over the place.
Ravens get the overtime win, 41.38.
There was a fumble by Lamar at the end, and it goes to overtime, and there's a missed field goal.
And then the Derek Henry busts off a 51-yard run.
Just so much going on here.
Let's start over here with the winning team, the Ravens.
Derek Henry does nothing all day, John, until that 51 yarder.
He only had like, I think it had 40 yards rushing until that monstrous run in overtime.
But he comes through with 92 and a touchdown.
Lamar was Lamar, 348 passing, four touchdowns, also ran for 55 yards.
And I got to say, say, Zay Flowers, seven for 11.
Okay.
He got me today.
Yeah.
But how about these tight ends?
You'll look up and you're like, oh, Mark Andrews is doing something.
And he did go four for 55, just missed the touchdown.
Charlie Kohler's getting in the end zone for one.
And Isaiah likely catches two of his three passes, go for freaking touchdowns, John.
What the hell?
Yeah, man.
This game had a pretty high total.
Bengal D. not very good.
Although I don't think they were that bad against tight ends.
I do love Charlie Kohler.
If you listen to me, you know I love me some Charlie Kohler.
It's another dude I interviewed like a completely mild-mannered guy.
Both of his parents are like professors.
Really interesting guy.
Massive individual.
I have a picture of me and Charlie Kohler where I joke around.
I sent it to somebody.
I'm like, oh, here's me and my dad.
I mean, just a massive dude, man.
But hey, Mark Andrews, four for 55.
You know, you're not going to get 42 attempts from Lamar every week, you know, but this is kind of what we could could be getting if they throw it a little bit more.
But love the data on Flowers because I was on that.
He was one of my props.
He was one of my top matchups to exploit.
And they play single high.
So they're leaning on the run a little bit.
And Zay Flowers crushes that shell.
Boom.
came through the analysis I was worried I thought well wrong on Henry Henry this week nope we'll take that I was very high in chase this week I had him as my number one receiver on in my rankings on the site I also had by the way Lamar is my number one quarterback and Burrow as my number two quarterback this week and I was high on Higgins as well played a prop for him so damn damn good analysis here anything we got wrong I guess I had Bateman looking looking looking
looking shitty, but who cares?
He did something, but, and I even had
Gisicki as a reach, and he actually
was pretty good in the game,
right? I mean, see, did he do anything
of note? Let me see. Two for 31.
Nah, I guess not. He made that one
19 yard. It was nice. Two for
31. What you're
going to want to monitor out of this game, folks, for the
waiver wire, I doubt he's even available.
Chase Brown. There was an injury
to Zach Moss's ankle.
Yeah. Some folks are
kind of consider maybe it's a high ankle,
keep an eye on that they were basically splitting usage down the middle of Zach Brown and
excuse me chase Brown and Zach Moss I always screw that up and I call him the country
singer Zach Brown let's just combine the two and make them into one useful running back I
exactly chase Moss sounds like an activity where you're going go go go chase Moss
um they don't have much on that like they might need to sign someone
because the guys that they have well they have that Chris Evans I don't
know why he's even under contract does he have incriminating photos of someone in the mike brown
family because they they don't use them i mean you're i don't know the guys got like three touches
like the last two years what are we doing here uh kendall milton i'm not familiar with him he's on
the practice squad that's it and then travion williams who's another guy like what do we do it here
he's been there for 20 years you want to employ this man for a half a decade and give him
seven office touches.
Okay.
All right.
It's whatever.
Oh, from Georgia.
So Kendall Milton, Georgia, I think I probably saw him play.
But Georgia, they rotate in a bunch of guys.
So he's probably a guy, bigger guy who did not get much work at Georgia.
But that might be, I mean, that might be someone to look at here if Moss is out.
Let me look this up.
I want to say he was an Eagles camp as a UDFA out of Georgia.
because, you know, if you go to Georgia, and he was, you know, the Eagles will sign you.
So, yeah, he was in camp with Philly.
So we'll see what he can do.
Do you worry at all, John, about the Bengals and the fact that now they're one and four,
this was a game, you're not going to have games like this all the time when there's
125 plays running a game.
But they're one and four.
It's kind of slipping away from them.
And you got Chase wants that big money.
Higgins knows he's gone after this season.
People start making business decisions.
Maybe they don't want to play as much.
Oh, Phantom hamstring injury comes up.
I worry about that a lot with this team because I don't know.
I just don't trust the leadership.
I know the ownership's bad.
There's a lot of red flags here in Cincinnati.
Yeah, I mean, but I'm to the point now where I'm kind of like, in some cases,
I'm like, I'm like De Niro in any.
role really where he plays you know an Italian like a you know what I mean I'm like I'm
like we gonna do we gone do it's like I'm worried about the Bengals I'm worried about
Chase I'm worried about Burrow I'm worried about them being cheap we're gonna do I mean
you have these guys they're producing Burrow crushed it today
Chase did as well of course that was due Higgins is Higgins also
crushed you like what are you going to do like i just hope for the best go to church let a candle i mean i'm
i'm not selling any of these guys you're saying you'd sell no i just something about it
with just gonna keep yourself awake at night you're gonna get to the fantasy playoffs and then all
the sudden it's like oh the you know one guy's just kind of sitting down and they just want to play
yeah yeah yeah maybe higgins maybe higgins yeah if you don't want to get out there you got
a bad vibe. I mean, that makes some sense because that that's a real thing. You know,
that's more, more dire than Chase, I think. Another super fun game. People were looking forward to
and there was a lot of DFS involvement was the Bills traveling down to Houston to take on the Texans.
This was a really fun one. And it ended with a Kaimi Fairbairn, 59-yarder, almost at the gun here.
23-20 Houston beats the Bills. Bills had to have a, a furious.
a second half comeback here with some wild touchdowns.
We got James Cook got in the end zone.
Keon Coleman with a long kind of busted play, got him back in the game.
John, I don't know if you saw it or not, but the NFL's concussion protocol is such a joke.
Josh Allen got literally like choke slammed and his head bounced off the turf like a freaking
basketball.
And they have to scrape his ass off the turf.
And he's, you know, on the sidelines.
And they're, okay, let's look at him, see what happens.
the bills somehow get a turnover.
Helmets back on, he's running his ass on the field.
There's no way he should have been on the field.
But, hey, it is what it is.
But speaking of Josh Allen, we call the Mr.
every other week.
It's another down week, John.
This is back to back now.
What are we doing here?
Nine for 30, 131 and a touchdown for Josh Allen?
Like, yeesh.
How much does he miss Defon Diggs not being in this offense?
Because he's got nobody to throw to.
Shakir wasn't there today.
That's an issue for the bills.
Yeah, it is. When you don't have any staples, you might be able to get by, and they did early on.
And Shakir, we love Shakir this summer. He's great, you know, but let's be honest, he should be a three, maybe a two, maybe, probably a three. He's a very good three.
But for them, he's kind of their one. So, you know, one week it's this, one week is that. Most weeks it's nothing of note. And Kincaid, I mean, what the hell, man.
So I think we have some questions about Brady at this point.
Things got off to a great start, the office coordinator.
But again, maybe his hands are tied a little bit because, again, the personnel.
But yeah, it's a problem.
They need, they need Shakir.
I try my best to pull back from expectations.
I mean, I didn't rank them at one this week, for God's sake.
I tried it my best to give them fewer than 20 points.
So, yeah, I mean, we do have some issues here.
Let's swing it over to.
after this game, what is it going to be averaging per game in his last four after this one?
It's going to look bad.
Yeah.
Yeah, no question about it.
For Houston, C.J. Stroud, 331, only one touchdown and a pick in the winning cause here.
I thought Stefan Diggs was going to have a monster day going up against his old bros here.
Six for 82.
Nico Collins, again, I'm probably burying the lead here.
He goes two for 78 in a touchdown and then leaves the game.
with an injury, so I have to monitor Nico for next week.
I also want to get your thoughts, John, on this backfield.
I don't know when the hell Joe Mixen is going to recover from this freaking ankle.
But, you know, we got acres.
He gets a little cheapy touchdown, but they really leaned on Daray Agumboale,
a ton in the second half of us in 15 carries and also had seven targets.
Maybe if it just keep an eye out, PPR, sleeper on the waiver wire.
if mixing can't go next week at the Patriots.
I actually wrote
wrote him up in Hans and St.
Hance.
Because the bills were given out a lot of production.
And I'm like, he has a puncher's chance.
And I listed him as a reach.
Of course, I also listed freaking Curtis Samuel as a reach.
And that was not a good one.
He, what the hell?
I mean, Alan only completed nine balls.
That's unbelievably bad.
But man, Kurt Samuel,
four targets one catch four zero i mean and this is just yeah this is sad this is not this is not
fun um they signed curtis samuel to a three year 24 million dollar contract by the way he can
can't do anything i mean he's like a udFA yeah no i did i did i did like uh digs nico is so matchup proof
though I did write about how it's not the greatest schematic match for him or tank dell
but I also wrote that you know you could fear all the matchup you want but he is matchup proof
and in all starting lineups but you know he did have a negative schematic matchup didn't matter
any any you know played what a quarter and a half still crushed it
yeah yeah I mean not not not much else there um yeah Dario Gumbawale is a pretty good receiver
I mean, Acres look pretty good, but he's just so week to week with it, man.
So hopefully, hopefully we can get mixing back because I'd rather not deal with this backfield every week.
It's annoying.
It's tough to deal with.
It is.
All right.
It's hard to get it right.
Here's something we did get right.
You and I both said numerous times this Jacksonville indie game, we said Jacksonville's going to win this game straight up.
And they did.
Yes, we did.
Yes, we did.
37, 34.
The Jags get the win.
Good for Dougie Peterson gets to keep his job for another week.
How about T-law? Trevor Lawrence out there looking like a real NFL quarterback.
371 pair of touchdowns, including one to Brian Thomas Jr., who, Johnny, this kid looks like a superstar.
Five for 122.
And I'm putting Christian Kirk in the rearview mirror here.
Christian Kirk's going to look good in a Chiefs jersey here in another week or two.
I mean, Thomas is one.
I mean, already.
I had him at 12 this week.
I mean, that's, that's high.
He was one of my top five props on the day,
and I was extremely confident that he would get it done.
In fact, I said, quote,
we could see something like the seven for 113 receiving
that George Pickens dropped in this matchup last week,
and that's about what we got.
Five for 122 and a touch, so even better.
And it wasn't a great schematic matchup for my guy Kirk,
but hey he came through with that 61 yarder he still had a pretty good game but again i'm not shocked
because i liked Trevor Lawrence if you read the article again not to do too much backpadding but
just just confirming we just confirm what we thought you know in many many cases i wrote
uh lawrence completed 71 percentage of his passes in this matchup last year against their cover three
and he crushes that shell and they generated poor pressure numbers.
They had no quitty pay.
So I'm like, yeah, I like Lawrence this week.
So it's nice to see him come through.
And, man, how about Bigsby?
That was where he was going next.
Yep.
He is running angrily out there.
He's the angriest runner in the NFL this year.
And he's running with fresh legs.
So it really stands out.
because how many other people in the league are just running like this and ripping off these play other than him and Derek Henry?
Yeah. Bigsby goes 13 carries for 101 and two touchdowns on the day.
And Bigsby had a 40% of he was on the field for 40% of the rushing snaps.
Here's the deal, though.
ETN, this is from Dave Richard from CBS.
So shout out to Dave for the stat.
ETN only played five of 12.
28 snaps in the second half of this game when they're trying to get a W here.
I don't know if there's going to ever be a real changing of the guard here,
but Doug Peterson's coaching for his job, John,
and he needs to find somebody who gives him a little bit of a spark
and somebody who maybe can take a little pressure off Trevor Lawrence,
and that guy just might be Tank Bigsby.
So if he's available in your league, let me see what he's doing here in Yahoo.
Yeah, Tank Biggsby.
Right now he's the number one RB and fantasy.
He is rostered in less than 10% of ESPN league.
So I got a feeling he's going to be on a lot of waiverware column.
So tell the grinder Tom Broley to get that write up going for Tuesday.
I mean, I'm pretty sure I had him, you know, up up near the top this week, this past week in my little thing.
Now I'm going to have, I mean, I get it, but I don't get it.
It's like, yeah, he's not taken over.
so I can understand why people aren't diving to their computers to pick them up.
But on the other hand, he's a young guy who's popping.
And clearly there's a role to be had.
Let's see here.
I guess I didn't have them that high.
Let's see.
I had him at 12.
I wrote,
B'bah, it's clear they want another back in the mix.
Bigsbee is popping off the screen.
blah blah does not have a target but you could use him in a pinch and he has some upside blah blah blah
yeah yeah uh by the way um also wrote up right right below him in the last week's waiver wire
how about how about our guy josh downs i mean i wish i gave him a little bit more love man i mean
just incredible just gets gets old flaco loves them i'm sure flaco loves him personally because
Josh Downs is a very old soul type of guy.
I'm telling you,
I,
I,
there's probably part of the reason why he's gravitating toward
Josh Downs.
That and the fact that he gets open quickly and he's really awesome.
So,
you know,
Pittman scored,
but man,
how about Flacko?
It's,
you know,
I saw somebody brushed back against this on Twitter and like,
you know,
stating Flacco isn't good.
I mean,
I mean,
he's pushing 40.
And he's bouncing around teams.
So it's hard to be, quote, unquote, like, good, you know, like, like be flawless almost or all that.
But the guy can still play, obviously.
Like, I'm with you.
Like, they should just tell Anthony Richardson, it's like, yeah, dude.
Yeah, your bench for the year.
See you next year.
Yeah.
We'll try next year, dude.
The objective is to win football games.
And, you know, Shane Steichen's not trying to hang around just to develop Anthony Richardson.
I'm sure, you know, obviously, we're not morons here.
We know he's the future of the Colts.
They drafted him so high, they have so much invested in him capital-wise.
But if you're looking to win today, Joe Flacco in his 359 and three touchdowns is the way to go.
Because let's be honest, Andy Richardson ain't doing that.
Guru, you're Mr. Nicknamed.
I got one for you.
Josh Downs, who went nine for 69 today.
He's Middle America, Wondale.
Wondell Robinson for, you know, the Indiana Farmers Bureau.
He's sexier Wondell, though.
He's definitely sexier than Wandole.
He's definitely can be, well, oh yeah, he can absolutely line up outside and win.
He's kind of like a JSN type of guy, maybe a little thinner, quick, just smart, savvy.
Yeah, I also like Alec Pierce.
In fact, I kind of liked him last year incorrectly.
But at least Trace Sermon doesn't screw you if you try.
tried him out.
You know, he got the sixth grabs for 25, and he scored.
But Goodson is lurking.
Goodson did pop a little bit.
So on the low end, because I think Jonathan Taylor, this is really bad.
I mean, this could be chronic ankle stuff with him.
So I would pick up Goodson on the low end in a skank league, you know, like a 14 teamer
with nothing out there.
Yeah, yeah.
We're going to talk about a couple of skank guys today.
But yeah, Trey Sermon, who I was telling people, I don't love this week.
Currently, as we record, he's R.B.
four on the week behind Bigsby, Swift, and Ramandre, who was essentially benched in their game.
So let's move on here.
And let's talk about that game, John.
Miami gets the W.
How about that?
Shout out to the dolphins for keeping up the good fight here.
They knock off the Patriots in Foxboro 15 to 10.
And I'm a Devon A-chan owner.
A-chan goes three for 18 and then boop gets a concussion early.
in the first quarter. He's done for the day.
So they're going on by next week. So hopefully he can
bounce back after that. But they had Jalen Wright come in and
the returning Rahim Mostert. And those two guys teamed up
for 100 and what they do, 166 yards here or so.
Between the two, it was nice to see them move the ball a little bit.
Yeah. Yeah, I actually picked Miami to win there.
I was shocked. I don't think anybody else did.
I saw, I also had a very good week of picking games.
I'm pretty sure I won the week.
I picked the Falcons and Vikings.
Then I had Chicago.
Oh, wait, no, that's, I'm looking at Grams.
I picked the Falcons, Vikings, Chicago.
I had the Bengals.
It got hose there.
That was close.
I had Houston.
No one else had Houston.
I had Jacksonville.
Only one or two.
I had Miami winning this game.
I'm shocked by that.
Yeah, it's tough.
But yeah, the Patriots can't move the football.
Not that Miami can.
Miami had converted two third downs.
There were only six converted the entire game, two of them to Miami.
Tyreek Hill almost had a touchdown, John, and they just called him out after a review.
But initially on the field, they called it a touchdown.
So I was like, oh, Tyreeks going to save his owners today.
But, you know, six for 69, not the greatest day.
bottle four for 46.
They're going to head on by.
Then they've got to play at Indianapolis.
And then that week eight game, home against Arizona, that's probably when Tua returns.
So then we'll probably see Miami get back to the dolphins, you know, that we know and love for fantasy.
Quickly for the Patriots, they said Ramandre was going to get sat down.
Oops.
I guess maybe we were wrong there because once he got in, he ran for 89 yards and a touchdown also caught four balls.
So, I mean, he's their offense, John.
What are we even talking about here with Ramadri getting sat down?
These people are dope.
He did get hurt.
And that's why Gibson got some play late.
I mean, I was worried about, you got to have some responsibility here.
Like, you can't, like, just go all in on a guy who, if he puts the ball on the ground one more time, he's pulled.
So I did actually kind of like Pop Douglas in the game.
He does come through.
I know it's hard.
I also thought Hunter Henry had a chance.
And he did have a 25-yard catch and two for 32.
I thought maybe he would do just maybe one more catch and like three for like a 40, you know, then if he scores.
But I mean, it's like pulling teeth.
Jalen Polk did make a big play.
I think he, was it a touchdown callback?
Yeah.
He's a pickup.
He is absolutely a pickup.
I know they had Kendrick Bourne back.
and Kashon Bouté, don't call me booty,
was in the mix,
but I would pick up Polk for the second half of the season
and just with the idea that that's something that you'd love to see them,
I'm sure they would love to see Start to blossom
and create some encouragement and enthusiasm for the future
with Drake May and Polk,
because I do think Polk does look like he's going to be good.
He's an ass man.
So he pops in the AIS man.
Average separation score at Fantasy Points data.
I picked him up in the ACI, or not the ACI, the FBI.
I can't get that out of my head.
I'm ACI alum and current member of the FBI.
The ACI is just, the ACI, it's America's favorite fantasy football.
I was in it.
I should have won it.
Damn it.
Lost to you, Guru in the semifinals.
But what are you going to do?
So, yeah, I picked up Polk, and Tom Brawley sends me a message.
He goes, you bastard, I was going to pick him up.
I put in like eight.
You know, remember I used to call Matt Asiata, the ass man.
Yes.
Right.
Yeah.
But you remember the little parody song I wrote to the Beatles song, The Taxman?
I'm like, let me tell you how it will be.
If you need four yards here, get you three, because he's the ass man.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I cracked me up at the time.
That's good, man.
I like that.
I like it.
It's not bad.
All right.
I'm going to go sing that into break.
My wife's a big Beatles fan.
She'll get a kick out of it.
When we come back on the other side, don't look now, but the Washington commanders might
be the best team in the NFC.
We'll talk about it more on the other side.
It's a fantasy points podcast.
All right, John, we're back and we're talking commandos.
Washington 3413 win over the Cleveland Browns.
What can you say about Jane Tainos?
Every week we come on this pod and we're like,
Jayden Daniels does it again.
Guy runs for 82 yards,
throws for 238 and a score,
but as a fantasy owner,
and I own him in my biggest league,
John, it freaking kills me.
He had, he should have had like a 40-point day.
He had a ball to Terry McLaurin,
gets tackled inside the five.
Unlike the next play, he throws an interception in the end zone.
Then they're on the one several times in this game.
and they end up just giving the rock to Jeremy McNichols
or a couple of touchdowns to Brian Robinson
who rushes for 18 yards and two freaking touchdowns.
But it's the Terry McLaurin and Jane Daniels show here, John,
and they just look awesome.
They do.
And it's great to see.
I was high on McLaurin.
Once we saw that Johan Dodson was worthless,
I'm like, that's it.
I'm in on McLaren.
And it was a little slow going there.
I was like, uh-oh, but it's looking.
good. I was in on him on the prop
today. He comes through on that one
catch. That was great. I also
even mentioned Diami Brown because
you know, look, I mean, Jaden Daniels
throws a great deep ball. It's not going to be McLaren
every damn time. And Brown did have
a 41-yarder. Echler actually
looked good, ripped off at 50
yarder. I'm like, it's
another O line in D.C. I'm like, you
look at the personnel in the preseason. You're like,
man, these guys stink. But somehow
and Daniels, I'm sure
helps.
with his quick processing and mobility
makes it look a little bit better than they are
but they do right now look like
obviously they don't look like they're a problem
they're not holding anybody back
I mean you know Echler
average 11 yards of carry today
I mean Brian Robinson always is a low YPC guy
and then Ertz has kind of fallen back
a little bit of a committee but yeah there's nothing
nothing else here it's McLaren
Daniels and then
Brian Robinson.
And then maybe Echler if you need them.
We'll see in the upcoming weeks here how the commanders fare.
Next week they're at Baltimore.
That'll be a nice challenge for them.
I mean, Baltimore's defense isn't what it used to be.
Then they play Carolina, who they'll probably stomp.
And then the Bears, Giants, Pittsburgh Eagle.
So there's some good tests coming up for the commanders to see if they're for real.
Oh, on the other side.
Oh, Derek Henry, by the way.
Eric Henry, put the money down now, is running for at least $150 next week against D.C.
Sorry, sorry.
All right.
I like it.
At least, at least, yeah.
Because I won a prop, believe it or not, on freaking Jerome Ford because of the man gap concepts that D.C.
had given up.
Yeah.
So, yeah.
And it hit.
His whole 47 yards had a prop for you?
Yes, it did.
Yes, it did.
I did it because I knew it was a low number.
I'm like, you know what, he's going to get it.
And it looked bad, but he got it.
9 for 47, 5.2 yards of carry.
And then Foreman also had 4.9 yards of carry.
So Ford and Foreman are rolling out there in this matchup,
basically 18 carries at 5 yards of carry.
Derek Henry is going to do better.
And he's going to get the ball late.
And he's going to kill next week, just saying.
It's tough.
And I don't want to bang on the brown.
because everyone piles on. That's easy analysis.
Just go, oh, the brown stink. I mean, they do.
But they converted John one of 13 third downs today.
And after the game, you know, their head coach was asked about,
oh, you're going to change quarterbacks.
And he goes, nope, we're not changing the quarterbacks at all.
And I don't know if that comes from ownership where they say,
we're paying Deshaun Watson too much.
We have to keep starting him.
But Deshaun Watson today, 15 of 28 for a buck 25.
His only touchdown was really, it is in garbage time to back up tight end Jordan Aiken.
So nothing really happened in there.
And Joku and his return lets you down.
Amari Cooper, four for 60 on 10 targets.
Just there's nothing happening here.
No, not really.
I mean, the old line and the protection has been brutal.
So on one hand, you're like, you don't want to totally rip Watson, but he's not part of the solution at all.
and he looked bad today from from what i saw it just it just looked bad and and amard cooper
looked frustrated uh you know catching only four 10 targets yeah i had a prop for him somewhere and
not on it not on the tv show i'm doing like that i was in on it luckily it hit but yeah it's it's
pretty bad and then we'll see about um nick job is coming back so yeah the backfield's a disaster too
It's a disaster.
You know, like, I'm, and I didn't really fall for it this week, but like, I think we told
one or two people today, like, oh, you know, Judy's got a pretty good matchup, you know, like,
forget it.
You know, he'll probably have, you know, he'll probably do well next week in his next game.
But you know what?
Forget it.
Because this is too possible.
A one for 16 performance is too possible with Watson struggling.
Yeah.
So just look for something.
Look for options elsewhere.
The best thing I saw today to steal from our friend Scott Van Pelt was Bo Nix just ripping Sean
Peyton a new A-hole on the sideline during the Broncos 34 to 18 win over the Raiders.
That was fantastic.
And Bo Nix, who's basically as old as Sean Payton, you know, went 19 of 27 for 206,
two scores through the air.
And he also ran for a score.
But Javante Williams, he is not great.
the ground we know this offense he's back baby he runs for 61 and then he catches five for 50 so on a
ppr javanti's getting it done for you he was one of the he's i think he's one of the top running backs of
the week with this very subpar performance where is he here uh javante it's a top 10 running back this
week got 16 points yeah yeah 16 points yeah and to be fair bow nicks was just a freshman uh sean
Peyton senior year in high school so I mean they barely two ships have passed in a night
I'll have to see that I love that I love hearing about that because I'm not a big I'm not
big Sean Peyton guy I think I'm adding it all up and I'm looking at decades of work and I'm
thinking that the accolades were it was a bit much it was a bit much there's a lot of
Drew Brice a lot of Drew Brice I cannot believe Cortland Sutton did not hit his
prop so that's one of the ones I lost.
I did actually win a Bowenix prop, believe
or not, over the receiving, over the
passing yardage. Also crushed
and shout out to Stephen O'Rourke
the Brock Bowers analysis.
I mean, I guess it was just
easy peasy, but we crushed
that. Hell, I won one
prop on the first catch, 57
yarder. I know. I was out
in Amir Abdula.
Oh, were you? I was. I wrote up
an article and like, you know, some start sit kind of
flex guys and I said, because the
Broncos have actually been really good against tight ends and like a fantasy points per game kind of thing.
And Bowers, I mean, it was kind of a fluky play, like a jump ball that he catches and then the defenders fall down.
He goes 57 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter.
But the Raiders actually benched Gardner Minshu in this game, John, put in AOC, Aiden O'Connell, who, you know, stinks.
But, you know, he goes 10 for 20.
That's going to happen, I think, multiple times this year.
And we've said it.
It's going to be Minchus in.
Oh, they pull him for O'Connell.
He'll start a game.
Then they go, well, this guy sucks.
They go back to Minchu.
I mean, as soon as Devante's out of here, I mean, this is what the team's going to look like.
It's, yeah, Abdullah, it's Madison.
It's, you know, whatever you're going to get out of.
Brock Bowers, baby, or bust is going to crush.
He's crushing.
I do like this.
He might put up.
He might put up more.
He might put up more points.
Sorry to cut you off there.
he could put up more points than Leporto than last year in PPR.
Okay, all right.
A tight end, we'll take anything at this point.
So, yeah, nice call on Brock Bowers here.
The guy I definitely want to trade for because there's nothing much in this receiving room.
We'll see if they make a trade for somebody, maybe like a Mike Williams wants to come their way.
Because if Devante goes to the Jets, what's Mike Williams really doing there at this point?
But, you know, Jacoby Myers, if you needed them, and I know I play.
played him in a few spots, six for 72.
And we mentioned Trey Tucker.
Didn't really do much today, but boy, that kid's a playmaker, John.
I think he's somebody I wouldn't mind having it on my bench.
Yeah, but he did come up small in this one.
So I lost a little bit of trust there.
Maybe he saw a little bit of Cirtan.
I believe we correctly hashed it out or thought it through that Myers would not see shadow
coverage from Certan.
They'd just play size.
I think that happened.
But yeah, not much else.
going on here. Zamere White is in the dirt anyway. We're not making any plans with Zamir
White. No, not at all. You can drop his ass. How about the Arizona Cardinals going into Levi's
stadium and sending the 49ers to a sub 500 record? Two and three. These are not the Super
Bowl 49ers, my friend. They're great safety. I cannot pronounce the guys name. Halifonga. I don't
know.
Hufanga.
Hufonga.
I'm terrible at it.
But he got hurt early in the game.
He's a hell of a player.
This was Kyler, who we've, you know, kind of been critical of lately.
Kyler played really well today.
He ran the ball well, 83 yards and a touchdown, including a huge 50-yard run to start
the game.
James Connor was James Connor giving you 86 yards on the ground.
And then Kyler kind of just spread it around.
Your guy Michael Wilson goes for 78 yards.
Trey McBride goes six for 53.
Marvin comes up a little small, but the defense is focused on him.
It's a good win for the Cardinals here.
Yeah, I wish I wrote him up a little bit more positively,
but I'm pretty sure I remember talking about it in our preview pod
stating that it was a good schematic matchup, which it was.
And even though the Niners weren't giving up a lot of production,
I also wrote that he did get some rushing production in his only matchup last year.
I actually did rank him pretty good, I think.
Not that it's all that important.
Yeah, I had him in nine for the week.
So I actually did kind of feel all right about it.
I am frustrated, though, because great Tray McBride did well.
But I really want, I like Michael Wilson quite a bit.
I love to back the guy, but it's just like,
it's so hard with Kyler in this offense, but that was another.
He's been kind of good here more often than not this year.
He might even be as consistent as Harrison's been, honestly.
For the 49ers, you know, outside of Debo, everybody kind of came through for you.
Jordan Mason goes 89 yards, doesn't get in the end zone, though.
Iuke, welcome back to civilization, eight for 146.
on 12 targets.
Georgie Kittle also saw 12 targets.
He goes eight for 64 and scores.
So really just Debo coming up pretty small here.
And you know, Purdy turns it over a couple of times.
But I don't know.
I mean, for fantasy, it's fine.
But what the hell's going out with the 49ers here?
How are they two and three, John?
I think Brock Purdy is hitting some touchdown regression right now because he had been rolling
with like a seven plus touchdown percent two years in a row.
I wrote less going into 2023 that if Purdy was able to maintain his touchdown percentage that he had for the majority of 2020, I'm like, dude's thrown 30. And he did.
But it was bound to come down a little bit. He's playing really well. I mean, one of the interceptions was a tipped ball at the end of the game, not as fall.
I think both of them were tip balls today. So right, right, right, right. So, yeah, I mean, at some point we'll get a full, complete,
performance and he'll go off with like three or four touchdowns.
We haven't seen it yet, but, you know, he's playing well.
Ayyth balled to F.L. Kittal's been good again.
My mistake was I did try out a Jennings prop again, Joanne Jennings,
and I didn't realize that the snapage was down last week.
So that was my bad on that.
But otherwise, yeah, I mean, it's kind of nice in that.
Like, it is just these guys.
I mean, Jennings has been kind of, I think that's what it was this week.
Jennings didn't do much.
So they supported two studs, even though in the passing game,
even though Purdy didn't go off.
So like another game, we could probably support the three, basically, is what we need.
What we need is can we support Ayuk, Kittle, and D-Bowl.
That's it.
I think we can.
I think we can get there most weeks.
And the 49ers, of course, score on a blocked field goal return.
Lenore takes one back 61 yards.
Also, you guys who still have kickers in your league,
Jake Moody was injured on a kickoff in this game.
Hurt his leg didn't look great.
It looked like his ankle got kind of turned the wrong way.
He had to leave, so that kind of put some pressure on San Francisco.
They had their punter kick a little bit.
Hey, shout out to Matt Wisniewski, who actually made a 26-yard field goal.
but if you're in a kicker league,
just be on the lookout.
You might have to pick yourself up a new kicker with Jake Moody,
looking like he's a little beat up.
All right, let's keep rolling here.
Two games to go for us.
The Packers get a 2419 win over the Rams.
This is one that the Rams,
I mean, the Rams played well enough to win this game.
Green Bay converted one of eight third downs today,
and it just wasn't their sharpest effort.
But, you know, Jordan Love throws two touchdown passes
to Tucker Kraft,
who at this point is looking like prime gronkowski you know anybody who can score two touchdowns
but the big buzzkill hill how about dontavian wicks kind of proving why he's not in the top
you know rotation for the green bay packers he looked like the guy who's the fourth wide receiver
on the packers john he goes two for 20 in a prime spot just killed people today yeah i i i fell
victim to that one there for sure i went four and one in my top five prop or
that was my one L he had multiple opportunities to hit the number downfield throws like the last
target that he got traveled 20 yards in the air maybe it was a little underthrown you know he he does
have bad hands I mean that's that's it you know but he gets open you know he's he's he's been efficient
well he makes big plays man he's been explosive you know so I was feeling it I
You know, can't get them all right.
I was feeling it, him and Michael Thomas.
So one for, one for two.
You know, love was a little suspect.
It's just like we got to give credit to the Rams D.
But he only threw it 26 times.
You know, we did like Jacobs to get volume.
I actually liked that prop.
I was our guy, Stephen O'Rourke, again, called that up.
And sure enough, everything worked.
Because he's the guy that they lean on,
late in games to kind of ice it. That's exactly what happened. That's how I won the prop because he
wasn't winning it. And then he ripped off a 13 yard in the fourth quarter. The Rams get worn down
to the end of the game. You know, so wasn't, wasn't in the cards. But, you know, I still feel like
you're, you're a top half's QB1. I mean, you're a top six guy, Jordan Love for sure. Absolutely.
Jane Reid wasn't a great, wasn't a great schematic matchup still did pretty well. And yeah,
Reed caught maybe one of the best catches of the day deep down the field.
Oh, that throw was ridiculous.
What a great, great play.
And a shout out to Josh Jacobs for getting his first touchdown of the year.
He goes for 73 yards and that score.
On the other side, hey, Kyron Williams is what it is.
Guys, one of the best fantasy running backs in the game goes 22 carries for 102 and a score.
Let's see.
Also gets just one catch.
The notable part here, John, in the Rams backfield, Blake Corum makes an appearance.
He goes five for 25, had a couple of goal line carries also, got stuffed.
I don't know.
One of them probably should have been reviewed.
I thought he got in.
And they put Kyron and that's how he got his touchdown.
But I'll tell you, I drop Blake Corum in a couple leagues this week.
I'm like, I can't sit here and have this guy on my bench as a lottery ticket when he can't even get on the field.
They're playing Ronnie Rivers over him.
Rivers is a no show this game.
and it's all, you know, Blake Corum's back on the map.
I think Blake Corum's got to be added back to rosters
because if Kyron's getting 22 rushes a game,
I mean, we know this guy can't hold up.
No, yeah, no.
I mean, few can at this point.
He's not the biggest guy.
Gotta give credit to him.
He does have, you see, that's invisible scouting.
Like, he has incredible vision in patience.
And that's not a physical thing, you know.
And also you got to give credit to McVeigh.
the offense is just good.
I mean, it's just freaking good.
But he's smart to work in Coral.
I mean, guys, like, it's a long year.
Kyrin has shown that he'll wear down.
You know, I mean, look, I'll take an L on Kiron Williams,
but he has shown that he'll wear down.
So that was part of the analysis, you know, like so.
I could see Corum getting involved and staying involved,
but it's still, for now, I think it's still kind of week to week.
but you know you're already kind of pushing the envelope on karen this is probably unsustainable
you know 20 20 plus opportunities every week our guy 2-2 came through i thought you know solid game
he was like uh 2.22 he's like 2.2 2.2.2.2.2.2.2. I don't know what he is um Colby parkinson uh
I always want to make a joke about the disease but I mean it
It's just not good, so I won't go there.
But, you know, we, well, I like to laugh at tragedies, things like that, because otherwise,
what are we going to do here?
I'd rather laugh than cry.
But yeah, I guess I won't go there in respect, out of respect.
But it is kind of funny, though, even though, I mean, there's, there's not really applicable
to anything, but, you know, it is, I don't know, anytime something's funny, even though it's
inappropriate it kind of it just popped into my head a couple weeks ago I was like man
freaking started this guy it's like I got you know you know what I'm saying parking
yeah it's the Larry David fan in you is what it is yeah yeah yeah exactly well you know
again I was literally in an episode of curb your enthusiasm as an extra with Michael J. Fox
in the scene and Michael J. Fox made fun of
Parkinson's in the scene if you remember.
I don't know if you remember that episode.
I do remember 10 years ago.
With your wife, you guys were sitting there at the restaurant?
You have to like fake talk to your wife for three hours?
I mean, it was more than three.
We were there for like six hours doing a pantomime.
So you'd be like, you're like.
Well, I think a lot of these Rams receivers are going to be pantomiming after the buy this week
because Cooper Cup looks to return and all the target is going to go.
his way. Do you think Jordan
Whittington, even though he's kind of
playing maybe that cup role can keep
any semblance of fantasy
relevance with Cooper Cup returning?
Yeah, I mean,
they could use size,
physicality.
He's got that body type of
puka. Yeah.
Yeah. I mean, can we give it to the Marcus Robinson
after all? I mean,
he's... No, and of course he scores.
It's amazing. He's stuck. Yeah, he's
scored but but I the thing is like if they I don't know I I don't want to lose
to too too as well like the juice that he has is a little different than the
other guys so I want to have two to involved so I would like can we go with
cup winning him and two two I don't know I'm not sure about that how about the
New York football giants going across the country and getting a W today
29 to 20 over the Seahawks.
What is that? Two in a row now for the Seahawks, taking it on the chin.
And the story of this game is Tyrone Tracy, rookie running back out of Purdue.
He was a wide receiver.
And then, you know, he's kind of old.
They realized, hey, buddy, you're not going to get drafted as a wide receiver.
Transitions to running back his final year there.
He runs 18 times for 129 today.
Doesn't get in the end zone.
But you know what's funny, John?
I heard a lot of guys in the media.
And they all kind of had the same, well, the Giants really want to see what they have in Tracy.
And almost making it seem like he could Wally Pip Devon Singletary at some point this year.
Like Singletary doesn't have the juice and maybe, you know, going forward, they want to go with Tracy.
But this is a great performance.
The kid average 7.2 yards of carry.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm looking at what I wrote about it here.
Singletary Dalfel, so it's Rookie Time on Tracy.
He should get 10 plus opportunities with Eric Gray behind him.
him. Seahawks giving up 13th most adjusted yards per attempt. So a surprise performance from Tracy can't be ruled out.
Lion runoffbacks combined for 26, 118, 3. He looked good. And, you know, he seems to be handling the physicality of everything pretty well.
Yeah, I mean, we all know Devin Singletary's rock solid, but, man, it is boring. Tracy is,
Tracy is kind of sexy, man.
No doubt.
I'm trying to see if I got this Slayton right
because I was kind of feeling it
and I mentioned it.
Yeah.
I'm not about to back Darry Slayton,
but Calks are giving up the most, blah, blah, blah,
and it would not be a surprise if you did something of note.
I forgot to list them as a reach,
but I did put Tracy down there.
But yeah, I mean, the Giants surprised me a little bit.
I didn't have a lot of confidence in them in this one
without Malik neighbors on the road.
road, but it was a pretty strong showing. So I think overall, we have to think positively about
this season with the Giants. They're not a dumpster fire, and they're very respectable.
Yep. We should have been more on Slayton with with neighbors out. He goes eight for 122 and a score.
He, I mean, anytime Slayton gets a bunch of targets, he can run. Yeah, he does. Big body guy comes
through. Wondell, who is East Coast, Josh Downs, goes six for 36.
and a score for the Seahawks.
Gino, 284 and a score.
Ken Walker just 19 yards rushing today,
but kind of bedshitting.
Saved the day a little bit with 7 for 57 as a receiver.
You know, the Giants block a field goal return for a touchdown at the end.
There was a play to Tyler Lockett, who goes four for 75.
It should have been a touchdown.
He got tugged a little bit.
The ball was going in the end zone.
There was no flag on or anything.
this game would have been completely different.
Metcalf, four for 55.
JSN gets kind of a cheapy, touchdown late, four for 31.
You know, not a great day for the Seattle offense against the Giants.
No, I thought that they would win.
I thought Ken Walker would get the ball,
and I thought he would go over his prop.
So that's one of the ones I got wrong.
Spreading the ball around is not great.
I'd rather see it kind of concentrated.
Look like Lockett was maybe getting phased out,
Then no, he's back.
Thought Metcalf would do a little bit better.
Gino's hanging in there for fantasy, though.
He is running more this year, for sure.
72 yards today for Gino on the ground.
That's shocking.
Yeah, so he'll be a QB1 this week.
He doesn't throw a pick.
So it's like he threw for 300 with three touchdowns or two touchdowns.
So not too shabby.
D.K. doesn't get you 10 points yet.
Walker, what are you going to do?
What are you going to do?
We're going to start his ass every week.
What you're going to do?
What are you going to do?
You see what happened last week?
You sat his ass on the bench.
I'll do like a little Tony Soprano.
You see what happened last week?
Your sat his ass on the bench?
He scored three touchdowns.
So what are you going to do?
You just got to roll with them every week.
Every week.
All right, we're going to roll out of here because, you know,
Guru and I got some Sunday night football
and some playoff baseball to watch.
So, all right, you and I, we'll be back for our festivities next week.
Actually, I'm going to Puerto Rico.
for the weekend. So we'll see how
how it works out. Yeah, a big work trip.
My wife is very upset.
She goes, she's like, you work sending you to Puerto Rico?
Yeah, I got to go. You know, it's mandatory.
You know what, my wife, you get so aggravated because like,
I'll complain about her spending money.
And she'll say, but what about you to do it?
I'm like, uh, uh, uh, business expense.
She says, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I say, I, I, I, I, I say, I,
I hide everything and you know she's just she's kind of right about that but yeah yeah well that's
you you're gonna be out for this uh week six review pod we'll see we'll see we'll figure something out
we'll talk about it i mean you're not gonna you're not gonna do it you know by the way uh i once
here's a a a guru uh legacy story i once spent uh uh uh see uh
$1,600 in phone charges from the Bahamas.
Because from my other job in, I think it was like 1998,
I had to go to the Bahamas.
And it was during the football season.
I was doing the newsletter as a side job.
Wow.
And I had to publish it up on the internet.
And I had to get online.
So I had to go,
you know, the old,
dial up and the damn phone line and just to upload on like a Friday the like the analysis or
whatever it was cost me $16 freaking $100. I'll bring the laptop in the microphone. I'll do it from the
hotel on the beach Sunday night. Don't worry about me. Well our guy Mr. Kaplan is still to this day in shock
that one time we went to a Phillies game and I had a big draft and
I brought my laptop to the game.
And this is 20 years ago.
I had an internet wireless card.
Just 20 years ago.
So it's a little bit of a long time ago.
And I drafted a team at, I think it was a veteran stadium.
And you won't leave.
When did Citizens Bank?
I did win the league.
When did Citizens Bank Park open?
Oh, boy.
I can Google it.
04.
It was right around that time.
03, 04.
How big was this laptop that you brought in here, by the way?
They didn't stop you and say, you know,
hey, sir, what are you bringing this huge laptop in here for?
I don't even know how I got.
I did have a connection there, a guy who would handle the courtesy booth.
He was a subscriber, actually,
and he would get the tickets for, like, the players' wives and stuff.
And I just go to game any time I want with this guy.
I am.
Just go, you.
Um, maybe that was it.
April 3rd, 2004, it opened.
Yeah.
So I, it was, it was like, I think it was 0.3.
I think it was the year before.
I think it was a, I think it was a vet.
So it was, it was 21 years ago.
But it was this website.
There used to be a site called the FF champs.
And they put up $5,000.
They put up $5,000.
They called it the champs challenge.
And they challenged all the other experts.
They did win it one year.
And, but I won it two years in a row.
And they were like, man,
we're canceling this thing, Hansen.
They had to write me a check for 5K two years in a row.
And one of the drafts I did literally at a baseball game.
I don't even know how we got there, but we showed it.
Hey, how about this 5K?
I just won here.
Go buy yourself some new shoes, honey.
You like that?
There you go.
Yeah, good times.
All right, folks.
Well, let's get out of here.
We'll talk to you guys next time on the Fantasy Points podcast.
