Hey, what's up?
It is John Hansen.
Happy September and happy week one.
It is here.
The regular season is upon us and on the latest Fantasy Points podcast.
Brian Drake and I go through all 32 teams.
last chance to pop out final thoughts, bold predictions, and offer up a brief recap of all the
vibes that I have on all 32 teams. So sit back and listen to a very, very long podcast where
we cover almost everything going on as we gear up for the start of another fantasy football
campaign. Thank you as always for liking and subscribing. And as always,
You are welcome.
All across the fantasy universe, welcome to the Fantasy Points podcast.
I'm Brian Drake, joined alongside the guru, John Hanson.
John, we're here.
We made it.
It's week one of the NFL season.
I didn't think we were going to get here, my friend.
Like, it just seems like this preseason lasts forever and nothing ever happens.
In the offseason, we're battling through holdouts and hold ins and who knows.
But we're here.
We've got games Thursday.
Friday, Sunday, Monday.
I can't wait, Guru.
Bring it on. Let's go.
Yeah, I am, I'm ready.
I get really excited about the regular season for a variety of reasons,
all the takes in the preseason.
We spend months and months talking about all these players.
So I'm always excited for that.
I remember last year,
I was really, really high on Brandon I, you like really high.
And they scored two touchdowns in the first half.
I'm like, this is what,
this is what gets me up in the morning, baby.
I love it.
So yeah.
But I'm actually really looking forward to the props.
I'm getting into them big time.
Unfortunately, though, I can't even play them myself because I moved to Georgia from New Jersey,
but all the other people who can do it.
I'm just loving the props.
But really, part of the reason I'm loving the props is all the tools that we have at fantasy
points data, which will apply to pretty much all analysis.
for each upcoming matchup.
So looking forward to that.
I thought that, you know, you're right to an extent
because this was one of the least revealing preseason of all time.
That's kind of unfortunately been the trend here after COVID.
But I feel like it's getting even a little worse the last couple of years
is a lot of teams are just simply not playing their guys.
So I know we're going to do a lot of bold predictions today.
We're going to kind of do a quick recap on the good vibes, bad vibes.
I'll give you what I can.
But if there's no vibes, I'm not going to make anything up either.
You know what I mean?
And there are some situations where I don't have much here,
but we certainly have plenty of bold predictions.
No question about it.
And if you need still, you're on the fence.
You're like, ah, you haven't signed up for a site,
but I'm kind of into playing props and got a drafts on Wednesday.
Use code score more over at fantasy points.com.
Damn, I think we're giving 20% off was the last I saw guru with code score more.
Whoa.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I mean, you're the boss man here.
Maybe they slipped this in while you were, you know,
taking your kids to college or something.
But yeah, code score more.
Save yourself some money over at FantasyPoint.com.
That'll be Thursday.
By the way, Thursday is the big day.
The drop-off day.
Oh, boy.
My youngest daughter, my only daughter,
my youngest child dropping her off on Thursday at noon Easter.
Oh, yeah.
You're going to cry, right?
There's no question about it.
Maybe tears of joy.
I love a little bit more quiet.
in the house now yeah i might i might a little bit i mean you know you have a daughter yeah and
you know did you ever go to a daddy daughter dance have we done anything like that maybe she's still
she's only 10 so she's kind of okay okay and then we had covid and all that so we kind of you know
screwed with some things but i know what you mean those kind of things are they're so special
and just see them grow up i mean good lord i remember when she was like an infant and now she's on
like this national cheerleading team she's going all over the country oh
Getting thrown in the air doing all kinds of backflips.
I'm like, what the hell happened?
Like I blinked my eye and this kid's, she's going to be in high school before you know it.
Oh, yeah.
Oh.
I mean, the childhood, by the way, not that we're doing a parenting podcast at this point,
but my thing has been for a number of years now decades.
Really, I've said this for about 20 years.
The childhood kind of ends at like eight or when you turn nine.
Because most kids nowadays, like by the time they're nine, they're into something.
and they're probably traveling to do it.
And then the busy schedules just kind of take over.
So the real childhood now is like, you know, one through nine.
And then it's like you need a personal assistant.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And your mom and dad become Uber drivers.
And the biggest scam going out there are these elite tournaments and AAU and all this.
John, if you didn't start a fantasy website 25 years ago, you would have been great at being one of
these tournament directors. You get all these sucker families to drive to some God forsaken podunk town.
I did it. I've done that with my oldest son, man. I mean, that's all I did. AAU baseball,
travel, All-Star. I mean, absolute nightmare. What a scam. Oh, God, we miss our calling.
Let's talk a little fantasy football here. We'll go alphabetical order. Let's start with the Arizona
Cardinals. And I tell you, I've been trying in my home league drafts to get a piece of Kyler Murray.
you know, he's really good.
His points per dropback, you know, over his career, like top five among all active quarterbacks.
He's got the new toys now, John, with Marvin Harrison and Trey McBride's back for year two.
What do you feel for the vibes on Arizona?
I mean, I feel pretty good, even though it's, you know, Kyler didn't play, you know,
Marvin Harrison.
We didn't really see anything.
I saw the only thing I saw was Trey Benson rip off a couple of good runs in the preseason.
And I pretty much that's about all I saw.
But I do have a pretty good vibe overall.
I hear you on Kyler Murray.
I am not down on him this year at all.
I opted not to list him as a pick.
But I did write in the draft plan article like, look, you know, there's a couple of guys.
Like, I'm fine with him.
Like, enjoy.
And look, it's fair where he's priced and all that.
I just, he does still have some injury concerns.
He does still have those limitations.
And I think that's really the biggest thing.
You know, the lack of height is a problem for Kyla Murray.
It causes him to bail on plays a little too early.
Plus the fact that it causes him, and we'll see about this year too,
another year removed from the ACL running around a little bit too much,
which opens him up for injury.
Now, look, if he enjoys great health and things go relatively well,
he's going to be no worse than his ADP of QB9.
because of the cheat code and all that.
But, you know, I just felt that, you know what?
Honestly, I'd rather have love who I can probably get a little after Kyla or right
around the same time.
So that's it.
I mean, I'm not against Kyla Murray, but I'm not for him.
But overall, I think the vibes are pretty good.
Our guy Adam Kaplan, of course, told us about Greg Dorch in the last podcast, which is a little
bit of a buzzkill, maybe for Michael Wilson.
I still kind of like Michael Wilson, though.
I mean, Dorch could sneakily catch 65 balls and be impactful, but it'll be like the tortoise winning the race.
You know what I mean?
At the end of the year with the pointage, I'd rather have Wilson, who's got a little upside.
He can have three blow-up games.
I mean, hell, he had one or two of them last year.
Yeah.
You stole my bold prediction.
It was Greg Dorch catches 70 balls for Arizona.
Greg Dorch is one of those guys.
And this week, you and I have the FBI draft, the fantasy points.
invitation over on serious x-em fantasy sports radio in a 14 team full ppr greg dorge is a starting
wide receiver so uh i'm interested to see where he goes this week yeah i mean don't don't take him
until like to 13th round 12th round but yeah not a bad pick here um bold prediction wise i don't have
much on on the cardinals but i i will say and look i've been wrong on james conner basically
two years in a row, is it three?
I don't even know at this point.
But you know me with my young
ascending high pedigree guys.
Like, Trey Benson
will have at least six weeks
where he's pretty much a slam dunk starter.
Not that bold, but that's what I have on the Cardinals.
Well, speaking of young ascending talent,
nowhere is that more apparent than in Atlanta,
where we got Bijon Robinson coming off the board.
some drafts at the 102, Drake London, Kyle Pitts,
these guys are first round NFL talents
who are criminally underused their first few years
in the Dirty South. Darnel Mooney's there as well.
So, you know, with this new offense guru,
with Kirkie Cousins under center,
hopefully he's fully healed from the Achilles,
what are the vibes for Atlanta?
I mean, their fans are thinking Super Bowl down here.
Yeah.
It's a little weird in that we really,
well, we didn't see Kirk.
cousins in a real game it was weird how they treated Michael Pennix as well but you know I
am a little worried about a slow start their schedule is not great right out of the gate
but I still have a pretty good vibe and I'm feeling pretty good and a lot of that is simply
obviously it's you know going from Kirk going to Kirk cousins reading off of uh grand
barfield's great article 69 stats 60
Nice.
Kirk Cousins.
I have actually party with Ronnie Mund, by the way.
I have a story for you off the air.
I have one of Ronnie Mund's T-shirts, his famous catchphrase.
Let's, you know the rest.
Autographed.
I'll send you the photo of him autographing my shirt.
That's funny.
I love me some Ronnie.
I call him, what is it, Johnny Mund?
I call him Johnny.
Don't call me Ronnie Mund.
Anyway, Kirk Cousins has delivered a catchable accurate pass.
on at least 77% of his past attempts in three straight seasons,
peaked at 81.4% last year.
For reference, the quarterbacks in Atlanta
throw an accurate pass on 72 of the time last season.
That ranked 30th in the league in 2021 or 2022.
They were worse.
So no matter how you slice it,
unless we learn from now until the opener that,
you know, Kirk Cousins is going to be,
not himself or whatever, you know, how can we not feel good about the vibes?
There's all these reports about, oh, Tyler Algiers still going to be involved.
I don't believe that.
Adam Kaplan, poo-poo, that.
So we are looking at Kirk Cousins distributing the ball with regularity and consistency
to Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and Darnel Mooney with a little Bijon Robinson.
I think that's it.
That's the top weapons clearly.
I don't worry.
I don't think Ray Ray McLeod or Cedarle Hodge or Tyler Algear or Chuck Warner or Ross Dwellie are going to be.
Just making up names now.
It's going to be those four dudes.
So I feel good about all four, although they might be a little bit of a slow start here with Cousins new to the team and all that and not playing all year.
Then again, Cousins was pretty good.
His first month of Minnesota, by the way, I actually went back and I looked.
Kurt Cousins is a professional quarterback.
He was getting killed behind that Vikings offensive line, by the way.
If you watch that quarterback show last year on Netflix, too, you just see the guy was getting beat up two years ago.
Like he just, he's been taking hits and hits and hits.
Then look at what Atlanta is coming from.
Both of their quarterbacks from a year ago, I think as of this time of this recording or out of the league at this point, they've like both been cut.
These guys were starting for a team and now they're on the couch.
So things are looking up.
My bold prediction for Atlanta,
Bijon Robinson runs for 1,300 yards,
catches another 75 balls.
He is the RB1 overall in fantasy next year.
He'll be Mr. 101 in every fantasy draft.
I'll piggyback off of that,
and I will say Bejohn Robinson next year
will be no worse than pick two overall.
I'm with you.
And the only thing I'm leaving open is the fact that
Brees Hall may out produce it,
but it's really close.
And look, by the way,
if you're watching and you want to or listening and you want to go bejean over breeze i've
abs that is a coin flip to me be jean is going to get it done yeah no question no no question
about it i like them all i mean again you know i said this time last year that i like before the season
that i liked every single green bay packer at their adp every one of them i was like i like
i like uh musgrave i like jaden uh jaden reed i like daid i like daid i like da and
I mean other than Watson and I didn't love Watson last year like I have a similar vibe here like I like them all and well and this one's a little more condensed it's it's those four I don't know if I love Kirkie at this point although he is on my list so I guess I do but mostly Bijon pits London and I'm not even sure who I have more confidence in it's I like them both they're both on my list and they're all on my list Mooney too I may like Mooney the most
honestly, to really surprise and just deliver a great return on investment.
What's on my list is making sure we get the bills paid.
Let's take a quick time out when we come back.
More of the guru's vibes with the Baltimore Ravens.

All right, welcome back in, John.
Talking about your good vibes and a little bold predictions for the 2024 season,
let's go down to Baltimore, where they're going to start three new offensive linemen this year.
And I don't think a lot of people are talking enough about that, but they've got Derek Henry.
You know, hopefully we got Lamar Jackson all healed up.
Remember last year he was coming off that knee issue of the NCL problem?
Mark Andrews is back fully healthy.
We hope likely might get more involved.
Bateman's back.
What are the vibes going on in Baltimore?
Not a ton that we can really pull from.
But, you know, I still have a pretty good vibe overall.
I know, by the way, the right tackle, Roger Rosen,
garden like they did it again like it's it's by the way rosin garden for some reason sounds like a
right tackle doesn't it i like it like road road grader rodin grader roger rodent grader roger rodent
as opposed to rosin garden the only guy better is that van roten who should be van rotin he should
be van rodden i mean joe thysman was theisman before he was going for the heisman if i'm an office of lineman
doing battle in the trenches and my last name is van rotin you be damn sure i'm telling people it's
van rotten come on anyway uh i think they're going to figure it out you do still have ronnie staley
there at left tackle obviously derrick henry i feel i feel pretty good about it and how about um
i retweeted our guy scott barrett's uh tweet about ass i mean let's talk a little ass here
average separation score yeah because we had a really good showing for
Rashad Bateman, by the way, who's been on my list all year, my target list.
He was third in separation score per ass.
The average separation score.
It's a new metric at fantasy points data behind just Tank Dell and Deontay Johnson and
a head of Brandon Ayuk.
So I like that at his free ADP.
Though my bold prediction is that Isaiah likely usurps Mark Anner
Andrews in a way and hurts them and scores five to six touchdowns and takes away from Mark
Andrews.
Interesting.
My bold prediction there, because I got to keep crapping on Zay Flowers.
It's kind of what I do is with the emergence of likely in Bateman, Zay Flowers disappoints
it is ADP.
It doesn't even average 12 points per game in fantasy, you know, and everyone's left crying in their beers.
You are, you are a flowers hater.
You know why?
Because I had him on way too many teams last year.
I love them last year.
And I know.
That's why I drafted him.
But do you remember what I said all year?
I said, you watch, he's going to take over.
At the end of the year, he's going to be the guy.
And he kind of, he was.
He had big games.
But remember, let's see what happens now when everybody's back healthy.
You're getting likely in the mix.
I don't, I don't love him either.
But I think I did write this.
Like, I did love him.
him as a prospect.
He was pretty good last year.
Granted, I was a little underwhelmed.
Thought he would do a little more downfield.
But don't, just food for thought.
You've made your position, which I respect.
That's fine.
But if this ends up being incorrect,
I bet you we chalk it up to,
okay, last year was last year,
he got better.
They got better with how they utilized them and all that, you know.
That's what they need to do.
They need to get him the ball down the field.
His A dot is way too low for as talented of his player as he is.
I don't hate the player.
I hate the way he's used.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because he is.
He's a very talented kid.
We don't know if maybe he's being used that way because he's not making it happen in practice.
We don't know.
I will say I thought it was crazy because when I first started watching Zayflowers,
I'm like, you know what?
I mean, am I nuts here?
Because I get these things.
I'm like, am I the only one?
And a lot of times I am.
But I was like, I see A.
be here like i'm like i see ab and then a month later i learned oh guess who's working with to
track the deep ball on ab i was like oh wow okay but i've been around zay flowers a great kid by the way
you know i didn't see a b in on his career but zay flowers is a great kid i could tell you that so
yeah just it's too late now you're you've you've you've planted a flag here and again i'm not on i'm
either on an amever, but would not be shocked at all if he, you know,
surprise us and played a little bit better.
You know what I'd rather have?
Instead of drafting Zay Flowers, where you're taking him, I'm taking our guy Mr.
C told us about in our last podcast.
I'm taking to Khalil Shakir.
Let me take him as my wide receiver three instead.
Let's transition to our vibes on the Buffalo Bills.
Matt Milano's not there.
You know, they're all world linebacker, so starch her tight ends against the bill.
But I think that's all we're still going to open up.
You're going to see more shootouts in Buffalo.
The secondary is not the same.
Remember, they're all new safeties back there in Buffalo.
So Josh Allen's got up with the Superman cape on again and go make things happen.
Yeah, no doubt.
Absolute great vibe there on Khalil Shakir.
If you've been listening to the podcast, you know, we've been giving them love since, like, May, right?
I mean, you know, I did the draft plan, you know, what, six weeks ago before.
Is it me or is it seem like the cat's starting to get out of the bag a little bit on Khalil Shakir?
Dude, I'm at my home league draft.
I'm a commissioner.
We were doing it 18 years, right?
We go golf beforehand.
One of my buddies is like, hey, I saw the interview he did with Mr. C.
That was really good.
The guy's drafted one spot ahead of me.
Guess who he takes in the seventh round?
Callio Freak and Shakir, right from under my nose.
I'm like, come on.
What are we doing here?
He's like, yeah, thanks for the content.
Jerk off.
Well, you know, I mean, not to brag or anything, but like,
there have been some players sometimes incorrectly, by the way,
where me or him or both of us have really affected the damn ADP.
No other, no more of a famous story, by the way, than Kevin Jones.
This is freaking 20 years ago in 2005.
I was way higher on him than.
everybody else, like initially.
And then I guess enough people were like, oh, wait a second.
And then I feel like the whole ADP kind of changed.
And, and I'm like, oh, I did my calculation.
I'm like, yeah, pretty much I personally screwed over a million people that year.
Oh, great.
Great.
You know, because I feel like.
You made up for it with Aryan Foster.
When nobody was talking about Aryan Foster and you gave that out.
Yep, yep.
Yeah.
Fives in Buffalo, though.
I think, you know, we can't.
I'll spend an hour on every team.
We'll try to move in some pace here for you.
Oh, real quick, so.
Bold prediction.
Khalil Shakir, 75 grabs,
and he's a top 30 wide receiver.
That's pretty ballsy.
Oh, okay.
And I love Ray Davis, man.
I mean, I like James Cook, too,
but I just, I'm telling you, Ray Davis.
It's one of these things where will it work out in the fantasy round?
Exactly.
I don't know.
But I just know that Ray Davis will,
will have at least four to six weeks this year where he's very viable,
if not like, oh, yes, you want to start him.
That's all I'm saying.
Ray Davis is going to be a factor.
Let's mark it down.
We're recording this on September 1st.
All right.
Put it in the books, folks.
You know, let's move to Carolina where I'm kind of high on the Panthers just because
of Dave Canales.
You saw what he did two years ago in Seattle.
You know, then he moves down and he gets Baker.
You get Baker Mayfield.
like a professional quarterback and win a playoff game. So you win a head coaching job because of that.
I'll start out with my bold prediction. Deontay Johnson finishes in the top 10 in targets in the
NFL. You might think, oh my God, guys, that's so crazy. Adam Thielen last year was 13th with 13th
with 137 on the same team. And Deontay Johnson at this point, his career is double the player
that Adam Thielen is. Yep. And this time last year, if you listened to on Sirius or read any of my
stuff that was my contention i'm like i know i'm mr ascending exciting players but i was actually 30
spots over the adp on thielin and i said he's going to be the first read for bryce young all
freaking year and he pretty much was uh so i i hear you uh dave canales i i still think he's a
little unproven but he certainly passed everything in his first real test which was
was that was just last year. And I was singing his praises last year this time because I talked with
Rashad White spent about 25 minutes interviewing him. And, you know, he talked about Dave Canales
over and over again about, man, he's really, this is in June. This is after all the mini camps,
this is in that break. He's just like, man, he's just, it's simple. He's putting us in the best
position to succeed. He's maximizing our specific abilities, you know,
Like, so he's really, really good with that.
So, and that's why I think one of the reasons Gino Smith had that great year,
simplify it.
You know what I mean?
Like, you know, let's sometimes it's, it's not that complicated, guys.
I learned that working with Charlie Weiss, you know, like for a couple of years on the air with Charlie,
talk with him on and off the air, like the Belichick way.
Like, I'm like, I'm thinking, like, I probably could have been a football coach if I really
went all in, you know, even, even, even, even.
I wasn't allowed to play in high school with Gary Melton because I got many accidents and injuries.
That's neither here or there.
But it's not that complicated.
Sometimes things get a little overly complicated by people who want us to think it's complicated.
It's not.
So yeah, I do feel pretty good about the Panthers.
I do think Bryce Young is going to play a lot better.
Because, you know, the other thing I was doing last year, by the way, and did a video on our YouTube feed,
I ripped Frank Reich.
I hate Frank Reich, no offense personally, but I was sick of them.
I mean, this dates back to two, three years ago, four years ago when I love Jonathan
Taylor like a son coming out.
And Frank, by the way, that brilliant year that Taylor had in year two through week four,
Taylor was like the RBE team.
I'm like, what are you doing, Frank?
So it's addition by subtraction just getting rid of Frank Reich.
I mean, really, no offense.
You got me a Super Bowl in Philly.
Thanks.
He knows more about football.
He forgot more.
He knows way more than I do, yet he still stinks.
That's what I'm saying.
And it's a big upgrade.
So I think the O line, I'm feeling okay about that.
He'll figure that out.
He'll get that stabilized.
The only thing is they don't, other than Deonté, what else are you excited?
And Bryce, what else are you excited?
That's what I was going to say is I think because, I mean,
Jesus Christ, Adam Thielen's 34 years old.
Yeah.
You know, we're going to see a little something out of Mingo and Ligat.
Like one of those two guys is going to emerge on the waiver wire this year, I think, is like their secondary option.
And that Jonathan Mingo, he's a big kid.
You know, a lot of people compared to him to like, you know, Debo or D.K. Metcalf type.
He's a monster.
He's had a good summer, too, by the way.
That's a name to watch for.
It could be coming off your waiver wire at some point.
And Jatavian Sanders.
Like, I would, if he scores week one, I'd be careful.
Like, I know, we're not seeing a big breakout from Jatavia.
That'll think.
With the Bears, you know, we all watched on Hard Knocks.
We know the story.
Caleb Williams, DJ Moore, Alan, Dunezay.
They got a ton of weapons, Swift.
Listen, here's the vibe.
We don't have to break anything down for you.
The Bears have stunk forever, right?
They finally got a quarterback.
They got weapons.
Hooray.
Happy Bears fans.
God bless America.
Yeah, well, I've been actually pretty high all year on
Caleb. So I actually didn't watch the finale at Hard Knocks or or if I don't even maybe that
hasn't aired yet, but I didn't watch last week. I think I'm going to watch it. They cut everyone.
What's that? No, they cut everyone. They cut everyone. Well, they cut everyone except for Tyson
Bajent by the way, who by the way, does look like pretty freaking good. I like him.
His dad's a maniac in the stands. You know, it's good story. Bold prediction. Caleb Williams top
10 quarterback.
Okay.
Ball prediction.
DeAndre Swift,
everyone who drafts them,
regrets it.
How about that?
It's a little generic.
You can always tell in your fantasy drafts too.
Like the guys who notoriously finish at the bottom of your league,
they all draft like the same type of guys.
Right.
You know,
you look at it like in the first or second round,
it's like,
oh, I'm going to take, you know,
Devante Adams.
And then, you know, they get like Swift and all these.
And you're like, this team's going to stink eight weeks in.
You can already tell.
These these these these these wide range guys like I mean Swift's I guess he's been productive more often than not.
But he's he's also underwhelmed me more than he's impressed me in his entire career.
I mean, were you impressed with him last year?
He was good for a while.
But man, if you don't block it up for him, he's not that great.
And he doesn't receive the ball very well either.
You hit the nail on the head when he was in Philadelphia.
and you guys listening, no, I'm an Eagles fan,
so I watch all the games.
He didn't really do anything.
He wasn't kind of the shake and bake guy you saw early on in his Detroit days.
And by the end of the season,
they were pulling them off the field in goal line,
pulling them off the field on third down and passing situations
in favor of Kenny Gainwell.
So that's why the Eagles were very easy to just say,
all right, bye, go walk out the door.
We'll go break bank on Sequin Barclay.
Yep, yep.
So like good vibes.
Everyone's into the Bears.
We all know if it seems.
seems too good to be true, it probably is.
So something's going to go wrong.
My contention would be that
D'Andre Swift goes wrong.
That's the first one. The next one
would be Kenan Allen getting hurt,
which would appease all those who
draft Roma Dunezay. Look,
I don't have a bold prediction on Romaduzzi,
but I'll say two things that seem contrasting,
but they are real.
Number one, he's really good
and is going to be good.
But number two, he's overvalued this year, period.
Like unless Keenan Allen gets hurt, which, hey, maybe if I say it again or another 10 times, it will happen and then Roma Dunesay will blow up and that I'll have to eat my words.
But he's still overvalued.
But yet I do think he's good.
Let's move on to the Bengals where in my big home draft, Jemar Chase fell to me at the 11, guru.
The 11.
I got Jamar freaking Chase.
So I think, Jamar Chase.
Oh, I'm trying to win the league here, right?
It's because of the running back.
I took Devon A Chan.
Oh, wow.
Wow.
In the second round.
Like Stekwon was gone?
Yep.
Take Juan was gone.
So I went, yeah, Chase, A. Chan, then your boy, Iuke.
You're like, screw it.
I'm taking a chance already even on Chase.
So I guess this is no risket, no biscuit team.
Guess who my third receiver is?
Rishi Rice.
I got three guys who may not play.
So we'll see what happens.
But in Cincinnati, hey, a healthy Joe Burrow is a good thing.
When Joe Burroughs healthy for the five minutes a year that he is,
he is as elite as elite gets and he's got a bevy of weapons i don't trust gaseki at all you know
we got moss we got chase brown at running back what do you feel on the let's start there with
that running game for the bangles what's your vibe yeah it's not bad i mean you know i saw a whole
press conference with zach taylor uh like friday a thursday talking about uh zach moss and
chase brown they're interchangeable i think a lot of us in the fantasy world are presuming that
Chase Brown's going to just be the third downback.
I don't know about that.
I mean, they kind of like Moss in the passing game.
So again, interchangeable.
But I will say, and I like Chase Brown.
Met him, great kid.
Love him as a dude.
Then he was good on tape, by the way.
And I watched him practice as a senior bowl.
He was good.
But watching him, I don't think he's a foundational, like not even close.
Like, I do think they need Zach Moss.
Not that I'm into Moss or anything like that.
I'm just a little cautious on Chase Brown.
But overall, again, I'm drafting them a lot,
but I guess I'm just saying I'm not ignoring Zach Moss.
Like Zach Moss is going to be a factor.
He has to be a factor because I don't think Chase Brown is,
you know, number one running back material.
I think he's maybe a 1B in a dual 1A, 1B thing.
I think you can do that.
But anyway, overall good vibe.
I mean, the Chase stuff, obviously, things are starting to heat up a little bit.
It's confusing because he's got two years left in his deal.
So he, yeah, I mean, it's a little obnoxious that he's doing this.
And it's also the Bengals who are notoriously cheap.
But on the other hand, Jamar Chase is also a transcendent talent.
And you just pay Joey B good vibes on him.
So, yeah, I think that's why he's doing what he's doing.
And the Bengals may acquiesque here.
But, yeah, I feel good about Burrow.
I'm going to go a bold prediction.
Burrow has his career high and touchdown passes this year.
Oh, I like that.
Yeah.
I like that.
If he does, hopefully they go to my guy Chase and I win my home league.
And what would that be?
That would be eclipsing 35.
Be music to my ears.
He was my number one guy in 2022 for what it's worth.
And he threw 35.
So he's going to throw 36 or 7 this year.
rolling through the gurus vibes,
a little bold prediction action as we head into week one.
Where a lot of good vibes as we're rolling on here, John,
then we roll into Cleveland.
And I think things might turn here.
So we got, you know, Deshaun Watson and his whole thing.
And now there's a little,
still got some shoulder soreness.
And maybe he's taking some rest days already.
And, you know, Nick Chub, we don't know what the story with him is.
And, you know, you're Cooper and Judy.
You know, we got a lot of guys, Elijah Moore.
What do you get on the vibes here with the Browns?
Man, it's great defense.
Yeah, it's tough, man.
I know they've got, you know, maybe Jack Conklin at right tackle's been a disappointment.
And by the way, Wills at left tackle isn't great.
You know, he's not like our guy over in Tampa, worse, because that guy is awesome.
But, you know, for what it's worth, the Brown's left tackle.
It's been all right, Jedrick Wills.
I guess he's been okay, but it hasn't been that good.
But it's still a strength of the team.
Man, I don't have much.
I don't love Cooper.
I mean, more, I don't know what to do with more,
because I'm Charlie Brown with the football with him
because I've liked him from the jump.
Judy, I gave up on this time last year.
So last year's debacle does not count because I bailed.
But the threesome, it's very talented.
And Jamari Thrash is a baller.
I mean, he looks great this summer.
I like Cedric Wilson too,
another guy I've interviewed,
great guy.
So the receiving core is strong,
but I,
you know,
I don't love Najoku this year.
I actually did like him last year as a pick.
He was one of my targets,
came through.
But as I mentioned last week with the Miz,
I got lucky on that one because
until Joe Flacco got to town,
Najoku was kind of a bust.
I was like apologizing for him,
basically.
So I'm not really into anyone here
for the Brown.
I mean, if I'm into one, it might actually be Deonté Foreman at like 212 overall.
Yeah, because if you remember, Jerome Ford was kind of just there between the 20s guy.
He was top 15 and running back targets last year, but it didn't translate into him scoring
any rushing touchdown.
Kareem Hunt was stealing touchdowns earlier in the year and then Foreman a little later on.
So, you know, I know a lot of people are high on getting Ford in these zero RB builds,
but if he's not scoring touchdowns for you, you know,
Really, what good is he?
He lucked out last year.
He got five receiving touchdowns,
but that's super fluke.
You can't count on that again.
No, I liked your own four last year, but,
and I do like him,
but yeah, it's just, man,
it's just random.
You know, I think Foreman will get those goal line carries most likely.
Foreman's not a zero in the passing game.
Yeah, I, I, and then we,
but the real thing is like,
does anyone really know about Nick Chubb?
Like, week five, starting week five,
like, what's he going to be able to do?
I know.
It's one of those things where,
I took a shot on Hawkinson in a draft where you got to hold them.
Am I going to keep them?
I don't know.
Maybe I'll trade them.
But it's so difficult if you don't have an IR spot to hold a chub or a
Hawkinson because they're just eating away at a roster spot that you could be using early in the season.
Look at the guys you were picking up last year.
Like, you know, Pooka and Akua off the waiver wire and Gus Edwards and people like that
where all of a sudden they can change your entire season.
And if you're holding on to these stash and hope injured guys,
even when they come back might not be 100%.
You know, I don't know if that's the best use of that spot.
Right.
Especially with the guy like Hawkinson losing McCarthy.
Let's take a time out right here.
When we come back, let's talk about America's team,
the vibes in Big D.

All right, John, it pains me as an Eagles fan to be excited about the Dallas Cowboys,
but I've got some good vibes,
C.D. Lambs back in tow.
They've got no running game except my boy, Uncle Rico,
and they're going to throw it a ball a ton.
In what I think, bold prediction,
Dak Prescott's final year in Big D.
But Dak Prescott is going to just throw and throw and throw
as Mike McCarthy coaches for his job this year.
And I love our guy, Turd Ferguson.
I love lamb.
I'm even kind of warming to Brandon Cooks a little bit.
Yeah, no, I've been on Cooks all year, actually.
I mean, you may not remember this, but when he came out, I was a huge Brandon Cook's guy.
I ranked him over, he was my number one receiver.
I ranked him over Odell, Mike Evans, among others.
It's been pretty damn good.
Now, I did kind of bail because all the concussion issues for a couple of years.
But last year, it was wide receiver 38 and points per game.
Wide receiver 45 total.
I still think he can run.
I mean, I might get cursed, you know,
or just hurt by his age and get some bad luck here.
But I'm top 35 receiver.
Like, he's still good.
Lamb and nobody wants to touch him in drafts.
I don't get it.
I do not get it.
I've been in on him for the whole year.
I mean, I do get it to an extent.
But here's my point.
What have we learned looking at the receiving core
and the way they play all?
offense in Seattle and Philadelphia over the last couple of years. If you do not have a good
proven third receiver, the top two guys are going to freaking eat. And I am not yet sold to
jail in Tolbert. I know he's had a good positive offseason. I did actually kind of like him as a
prospect coming out, but I'm not convinced that he's going to be that big factor. So I mean,
that's Brandon Cooks. And it also leads me to Jake Ferguson. I'll say top six tight end.
He's going to be a top six side end.
I'm with you all day.
Ferguson's a guy.
I mean, geez, he was finished in terms of targets.
He was seventh in targets last year.
And then points per game, he was 10th.
Last year, we had, what, 11 tight ends average 10 or more PPR points per game,
which is just incredible.
So if you wait on the tight end a little bit or you already did and you're kind of nervous,
like, oh, I drafted Ferguson, resties.
No, man, he'll be fine.
That's another guy that I interviewed, love the guy.
By the way, I wrote my notes here,
all he needs to be what would constitute a top six tight end last year
was one more point per game.
That's it, one.
And, you know, early in the year, he wasn't quite the go-to guy
because, you know, Luke Schoonmaker was his second round pick.
Another guy interviewed, good guy.
Went to high school with a guy named Schoonmaker,
not related to Luke, per my research asking Luke.
Have you ever known anyone named Schoonmaker?
No.
I don't.
Yeah.
No,
I went to high school
with a Bill Schoonmaker.
Shout out to Bill Schoonmaker,
but not related to Luke Schoonmaker,
but, you know,
Schoonmaker ended up,
he got hurt.
I know he was a little injured
going into the year,
non-factor,
but, man,
Ferguson really took over.
So I see no reason why
that he just doesn't pick up
right where he left off
because he's a real smart kid.
You know he's doing everything.
I know he's doing everything
that he needs to do.
He plays fantasy,
so I know he wants to probably draft himself as well.
He he's probably his own top target this year and wisely so.
One of my top targets is our boy Uncle Rico.
Not only can he throw a football over them damn mountains,
but I think he's going to get 15 touches a game.
Mike McCarthy has come out this week and set as such
where he's not going to play as much on special teams
because of his elevated role in the backfield.
It's Rico.
It's an old Zeke.
that they got rid of two years ago, and it's the corpse of Dalvin Cook.
I mean, listen, he doesn't have to be special.
All he's got to do, I mean, last year, 4.1 yards of carry.
He's going to, you know, get the touches.
He'll catch a couple of balls.
He's not a zero in the past game.
If he's on the field, and we just mentioned Jerome Ford was in between the 20s guy,
if that's Rico Dowdell for where you draft him, that's fine.
As a flex or a backup running back on your team, they'll be totally fine.
Yeah, I mean, I added them to my target list just because the ADP is ridiculous.
You can get him in like the 14th round and he might be a quote unquote starter.
You know, Z could in theory ruin his PPR upside with receptions because he's really good in past protection.
He's a reliable receiver.
He could also get all the goal line work.
Deuce Vaughn could also actually be a factor and or, you know,
Dalvin Cook, they could work in a third back, basically.
But who knows?
But all we know right now, we know two things.
Well, we know a couple of other things, but the main two things.
Rico Dattle is pretty good.
He's good.
I mean, he moves well.
He's got lateral agility.
He's got some explosiveness.
Pretty good receiver.
And Zeke and Cook are old.
And Deuce, I mean, you know what my line was last year.
don't draft Vaughn because the last thing you want to do after week one is drop a deuce you know what I mean
because you will be dropping a deuce if you draft deuce Vaughn so don't even bother
bold prediction well we went well we went I gave you my two here for the Cowboys cooks and
Ferguson yeah I'm with you and if people come at you and they go oh why why you draft an uncle
Rico you just throw a great line in them for the movie you go it's a free country do whatever
I want. Let's go on to Denver where I think the vibes are pretty good on a team that nobody
wants to talk about. You know, they don't get covered nationally, I think kind of the way that they
used to because they don't have, you know, Peyton Manning anymore, you know, John Elway back
the day. I think Bo Nicks for being 100 years old as a rookie is going to be really serviceable
for Sean Peyton. Cortland Sutton is an extreme value in drafts. Again, no one's wanting to draft
him. We'll see what happens with MIMS. And then you got a bunch of
guys at running back where you take some shots on them. Somebody in a Sean Payton offense always comes
through for you at the running back position. I think we just got to see is at McLaughlin. Is it
Javante? Yeah, I mean, pretty good vibes. Yeah, I think people probably over, over high, like they're
over celebrating on Bowenicks like it's already happened. Like, oh, we got our guy. I'm like,
all right, well, we'll see. You know, I don't know about that, but certainly the vibes are pretty good.
feel pretty good about Javante Williams, especially since they let Samajapirang go, as we thought
they would. I can see Javante, you know, getting 18 touches the game for sure with Jalilaleklin
working in as a change up. Estimate will probably be worked in, you know, minimally. And then maybe
it expands a little bit, but, you know, worry about that later. That's a late, late pick. I liked
the fact that they let Tim Patrick go for MIMS. I feel pretty good. I feel pretty good.
good about mims so i'm with you here and i certainly think that mims and uh great dulcich by the way
like no one cares like you can get either player over 200 picks in they're both athletic they move well
their potential needle movers like absolutely just these are dark throws these are good dart
throws though uh you know sutton you're right you know josh reynolds will be a little boring but he'll be
there nothing like that i'm doing cartwheels
over but overall I'd say a positive vibe.
Bold prediction wise.
I'll say Javante Williams logs
the top 20 season. I'll go there
because it's the final year of his deal. He's a year
removed for the injury and I've always
felt that he was really good and
anybody with the gift to sight before the injury
did not disagree with me. By the way,
you know who loved them coming out?
Our friend Ladanian
Tomlinson, who knows a little bit about
running backs? He does.
He does. My
bold prediction would be
Cortland Sutton once again
gets your double-digit touchdowns.
Got you 10 last year.
I think he's going to do it again.
That would be, that would mean
Bo Nex was way, way better.
I thought, that's for sure.
Yeah.
It could be.
Absolutely.
The vibes in Detroit, it's still good.
I mean, I don't know how much we've got to expand upon that.
They're going to play a million dome games this year.
You know, Jared Goff, if you're kind of streaming him,
at quarterback, and I took a team with Jaden Daniels,
my quarterback. I made sure to back him up with with Jared Gough because we like also the elevated
presence of Jameson Williams. I think vibes are good on him this year, John. You know, Gibbs is great.
Montgomery is very serviceable. We know Amman Ra is a superstar. Line is fantastic. You know,
everything's looking good. Let's just get to the playoffs and see what the Lions can do this year.
Yeah, yeah, right. Yeah, I feel pretty good. Amon Ra. You probably don't remember this, but that
rookie year, he was my deep sleeper of the year at receiver.
uh i happen to work in l a la and i always tell the story but uh our guy uh matt bubar he who who
comments on a lot of our stuff here matt in l a he's a u s c guy big time big time and he was telling me
about a mona ra in like 2019 i'm like all right okay you know watch him a little bit i'm like all right
watched him in that preseason and i was like wow man he's good like jarrick golf loves him already and that
was it i was like i've seen enough i remember doing a video i was like quintess sefis stinks the guy
to get some mon rae saint brown man man he's been so i mean honestly i don't i didn't know he'd be
this good it's ridiculous jameson it's not he's not the next to mon rae but the vibes are similarly good
our guy kaplan last week told us about that i i
had heard of, you know, some problems with some drops, but I'm feeling pretty good there.
Still don't love Leporta.
I mean, definitely like Jemir Gibbs and Montgomery.
But yeah, I feel good.
I mean, there's the only bold prediction I have is Jameson Williams will be a top 30
receiver.
I mean, that's somewhat bold considering his ADP is Y receiver 48 right now.
No, I like it.
And that's the kind of guy you take a shot on.
Good pedigree, you know, came out of a big program in college, tons of
speed look great in the playoffs. We just got to keep him healthy and get them on the field and
they'll scheme some things up for him. So yeah, I like the call on that. Green Bay Packers,
you know, the rival up there in the Norris division of the NFC, as Chris Berman used to say,
we got 400 wide receivers here in Green Bay. I took your boy Christian Watson in my big home
league for you. When I put the sticker on the board, I go, this one's for you, guru.
I put Christian Watson as my fourth receiver. That's a perfect spot for you.
him as my fourth behind chase and iuk and rashi rice if he hits he hits great good for me but you know
they've got wicks they've got uh jaden reed you've got the uh kind of ever so boring romeo
dobs but the guy i really want to ask you about is at the running back position i want to ask
about josh jacobs because the deck is kind of cleared for him to get a boatload of touches
yeah which is something that matt lafleur never really does with his lead running
back. Maybe it was more just a case of we got Aaron Jones and we can't over you. Oh, I believe that. And
you know, by the way, when they drafted A.J. Dillon, my prediction was that they're looking for like a
thunder or lightning thing, like kind of like Ingram and Camara. Right. And I said Aaron Jones is
Camara, by the way. And I had a little epiphany. This is like three or four years ago. I'm like,
oh my God, he kind of is Camara. He's like a poor man's Camara. Like, very similar. But yeah,
that's a moot point now but let's not forget that matt lafleur came from tennessee where you know
handed the ball off to derrick henry quite a bit so yeah i i think we have to look at josh jacobs
now as a pretty good pick i'm probably not going to take him but ironically i like him as an rb one
more than i like him as an rb two because i i'd rather go with josh jacobs but
and say, well, you know, I opened wide receiver, wide receiver, and now I'm at, you know,
toward the end of, let's say I, I, I had this second pick.
I took Tyreek, came back and oh, my God, Alave was avail, or maybe even someone better.
So I took him.
Now I like Josh Jacobs, because that is a potential anchor R.B.
I mean, I'm not feeling warm and fuzzy about it, but he's proven.
He's not an old man.
It is, by the way, kind of a contract year for him.
Like, basically it is.
Like, he's got to prove it this year.
So you like the motivation because the last time he truly had that, you know,
it was two years ago with the Raiders and he was unbelievable.
Marshaun Lloyd is hurt currently.
Manuel Wilson has got like 30 touches in the NFL total.
So, I mean, I hate to say it, but default Jacobs has.
will be looking good as a third round pick.
Yeah, I like Marchion Lloyd a lot.
I've taken him in a couple of drafts.
So my bold prediction will be Marciaun Lloyd is fantasy relevant by the time the season ends.
I'm saying this will be a backfield.
This is maybe me just more wish casting this.
But Marshaun Lloyd is a guy in you can flex down the stretch in the fantasy season when he's healthy.
That'll be my bold prediction.
That'll be, I mean that would probably have to mean Jacobs gets hurt.
Although, you know, Lloyd is a pass catching specialist, and Jacobs went, I think, three years without seeing a target on third down, which is weird, even though he's a pretty good receiver.
Right.
I'm going with Christian Watson as a top 25 receiver.
Love it.
I'll go with, I got three of them here, actually.
Josh Jacobs will finish as the RB7.
Wow.
And Jordan Love will total 38 touchdowns.
He had 36.
Only two more.
Damn. The big things going on in Green Bay for the young quarterback Jordan Love.
There's a lot of hype in Houston for their young quarterback, C.J. Stroud, who is coming off, you know, a playoff run in Houston where nobody thought anything about the Titans last year.
They've got this incredible receiving core now. They bring in Stefan Diggs. You know, they're beefing up that defense.
You know, the running game now with Joe Mixing in town looks pretty good. I mean, how can you say anything other than the vibes are?
dare I say guru too good to be true in Houston you nailed it that's where I'm going with it I'm going to say
that 75% of the Houston Texans are overdrafted this year I don't know what that means exactly
but you know if there's if there's five of if there's five of them drafted you know three of
um at least are gonna like underwhelm three and a half of whatever all those receivers can't pay off
at that 80 those adps they can't right especially with uh they kept robert woods and my guy john
mechie's coming on like gang but i mean john metching is ready to go he pushed no brown off the
roster it's just i hate to say they have too much and at dalton shultz will get a couple here
and there i don't know i i also don't have a good vibe on mix it
it has been hurt all coming.
I never had a good vibe on mixing.
What's that?
Maybe for a lot of the off the field things I hear about him.
But how about Cam Acres?
Yeah.
Looking shot out of a cannon.
I know.
I mean,
would you be floored if in October,
Cam Acres is out there,
it looks better than mixing?
Not at all.
Wouldn't shock me at all.
And I've always liked mixing,
but,
and look,
it's one of those things like,
oh, man,
like go ahead and take them.
I mean,
certainly could work out,
obviously,
probably more likely to work out
than not based on role but i i don't i'm not feeling it he's he is getting up there here 28 years old
pretty good workload there acres you know could could factor in here so yeah i just i don't have a
bad vibe here i the vibe's not good enough this summer for me to support or even endorse most of
their players at their 8Ps i hear you okay well i did a draft on friday night
for a local radio station here in Syracuse.
It's fun.
This is like the epitome of Home League where like Jemir Gibbs went off the board at the 103.
I think Lamb fell to me somewhere in the middle of the first round.
And I'm just like, good Lord, what is happening here?
I want to say it was like the sixth round or so, six seventh round.
Anthony Richardson's just sitting there in a draft.
Boop, boop, boop.
Here comes Mr. Drake to the board.
I'll take him.
Thank you very much.
So the hype on Anthony Richardson and the fantasy community for the Colts,
well, let's be honest, it's kind of off the charts.
People are thinking like this kid's going to break fantasy football and he could.
But he also's got to stay healthy and he's got to prove that he can throw the ball a little bit.
Yeah.
Because in, you know, we've seen in camp, you know, they were doing the practice with,
I think it was the Bengals.
The Bengals were defenders are talking smack to them like, hey, you just throw to spots.
Yeah.
All you can do is run, blah, blah, blah.
We'll pick six in the last preseason game.
You know, yeah.
So Anthony and Richard, let's be honest, he just got to do it with his legs.
That's what it is.
It's all about what he's doing his legs this year for fantasy.
I have no, I'm not putting any stock in anything he's doing with his arm.
Yeah, I actually did the whole draft plan over again, where I drafted all the teams on Friday.
That would have been August 30th.
And a couple of times in the previous version, I did take Richardson a couple of times.
I found drafting at the end of round one.
There was a pocket early sixth round.
I'm like, oh, there he is.
You know, it's all right.
It's not bad.
And I don't want to take Jordan Love, my number one guy, like, every single time.
But I just did it on Friday, and I did, in fact, take love every time.
Not that I'm down on Richardson, the Colts.
Yeah.
I mean, there are some cause for concern, no doubt about it.
But overall, I have a pretty good vibe.
I like Shane Steichen and Jim Bob Cooter.
we've got a good line you know pierce actually made a couple of plays i liked him last year and and a d mitchell is
moves well he's a weapon you know it's a buzzkill about uh jelani woods i still kind of like will
mallory but they they they lack an identity at tight end but overall i like it i mean i like it
we got year two for richardson josh down's also a little hurt but he'll come back soon
year two with this with the system and stuyken and richardson and richardson we're we've got year two with the system and
and downs pretty good a line full jonathan taylor pretty good vibe i'm gonna go uh johnny taylor
gets a rock solid 12 rushing touchdowns i mean it's not 18 like he did a couple years ago but
he'll catch another one so he'll get 13 total tutties and he'll he'll deliver a top five season and then
nothing else really of note i mean michael pitman will catch you know michael pitman will catch you know michael
be a top 25 receiver again 20 i'll go 20 he'll be like wide receiver 19 but like 88 grabs not nothing
earth-shattering here all right i think ad mitchell's going to be a guy we're picking up off the waiver
wire uh when he makes a couple of big splash plays for the colts i mean he could just be a one of those
guys though like midge one play a game which is a little harder to predict but no doubt the bottom
line the real point with a d mitchell to me is he'll help the officer
offense in Richardson.
You know, like they needed someone who could run.
Yeah.
So then the safeties aren't creeping down, keeping an eye on Richardson.
Hey, you know, where's he going to leak out of the pocket to?
Because you got A.D. Mitchell running past you a streak into the goal.
Could be a little decoy-like, but I'm not drafting A.D. Mitchell, but I'm glad he's there
for Anthony Richardson's sake.
Yeah.
He's going to get plenty of exercise running nine routes this year.
There's no question about it.

I'm going to Jacksonville,
Guru,
where Travis E.
I was just in Jacksonville.
literally just in the city of Jacksonville.
Yeah, we were getting ready to do this podcast, right?
And a little peek behind the curtain.
So, you know, Guru and I are sitting here on a Sunday afternoon.
And our producer, Trey calls us and he's like, hey, remember, you guys going to do the podcast for Monday.
And we're like, oh, yeah, crap.
And Guru's like, I'm literally just getting out of the car from Florida.
Yeah.
So what did you go to Jacksonville for?
Oh, it's weird because like I've never lived outside of New York or New Jersey for ever in my time.
life. I mean, I've been on vacations maybe for 10 days elsewhere, but I've never not put my head
down to sleep consistently in New Jersey or New York. Yet I moved down here to southeast of Georgia.
And it's like, oh, yeah, well, my wife and daughter that wanted to go to this shopping, there's a bunch
of shopping. There's a trader Joe's. I'm like, oh, I'll go for a nice Sunday leisurely drive shopping
and I'll go to Florida.
You know, it's just weird.
But yeah, I was in Jacksonville today.
Drove over the bridge.
How long is ride is that for you?
Oh, yeah.
It's like an hour.
Oh, really?
That's it.
Easy.
Yeah.
Okay.
And by the way, we drive right by Derek Henry's hometown, which is Uly, Florida.
I'm going to call that up.
Yep.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So U.
Lee, Florida is right there on the top, right
like over the border from Georgia.
Okay, all right.
A little Florida Georgia line action here.
So Travis ETN last year finished as running back three in total points per game.
Remember last season, everyone's talking up Tank Biggsby as a rookie.
Oh, he's going to be great.
He's going to eat into the touches.
And Tank's Biggsby turned out to be like literally the worst running back ever.
He was skank.
But somehow, somehow now he's great.
And everyone's talking about like, oh, Biggsby's back and he looks fantastic again.
So are you worried at all about the vibes on ETN if maybe they're going to pull back a little from him and give a little more to Bigsby?
I don't think we can.
I mean, De Anuris Johnson, God love him.
I mean, there's, you know, you do have other backfields where there's two to, there's three guys involved.
So, I mean, look, if they're going to, if they want Bigsby involved, that's fine.
Maybe he still some short yardage, goal line work, maybe because I don't think ETN is that great at that role.
but no I'm not worried about that I do believe ETN owns a bigger chunk of his backfield than most so top 10 in a league in that regard showed progress and improvement in the passing game actually had several games I believe with more than four catches which he did zero times the year before under Doug Peterson I feel pretty good I think some of that is caused by discounted pricing on a lot of their guys like
Trevor Lawrence, Mac Jones.
Trevor Lawrence is exactly, he's the definition of post-hyped sleeper.
Yeah, which is the term you hear in fantasy from time to time.
Like a year ago, a lot of guys, including you, people liked Trevor Lawrence a lot.
Yeah.
And he wasn't the worst guy in the world.
In 16 games, he finished as overall QB 12, but he wasn't, you know, a top five QB.
He didn't win the league.
Nope.
Maybe now you get him at such a discreet.
count nobody wants him people are getting them as their backup in leagues yeah brian thomas gave
davis we still have ingram we still have uh christian kirk here who i love a ton yeah so maybe
maybe things are looking up vibes are looking good for trevor lawrence yeah no i i think it's pretty good
i mean we've got you know continuity they added mitch morris at center the old line isn't a problem
at the very least Gabe davis played for the receivers coach chad hall so he knows the
offense he's a florida guy i i think bryan thomas will end up being a little
overrated but in fantasy but hey he's a baller who can get vertical and he can run like a deer so
maybe he makes some plays and comes through who knows but i think they've got enough firepower to
compete and if they enjoy a little better luck because you know Lawrence got hurt last year remember that one
game no one thought he was playing and he played and he ran so he he proved tough he also had a bunch
of dropped passes touchdown passes early last year as we outlined
I think they wanted Calvin Ridley back, and it kind of stinks for them that they don't have them.
But I still think, again, they have enough firepower.
So Trevor Lawrence, top 12 quarterback, bold prediction.
Trevor Lawrence ran last year 70 times for 339 yards and four rushing touchdowns.
So a little sneaky upside there.
He gives you his legs.
He got five the year before, I believe.
Bold prediction for this next team.
They're going to be good.
We're talking about the Kansas City Chiefs.
So Patrick Mahomes, I think he has a blockbuster season now that he has weapons who can stretch the field in Hollywood Brown and Xavier Worthy.
Rishi Rice, I think, ascends and just keeps gobbling up targets in the middle of the field.
But Checo is going to be really good again.
I mean, what else are to say, John?
The chiefs are really good.
You draft their players.
I think they're going to come through for you.
I'm going to go, though, Xavier Worthy.
It will be a case of, yes, he arguably makes more big plays.
than Tyree Kill as a receiver his first year.
Tyree Kill was making plays that first year,
but if you look back in the numbers,
he only average like 10 yards of catch or 11.
It wasn't great.
So he ends up being a disappointment.
That's my bold prediction there.
I don't know if it's that bold.
But this one here,
and this is a recent development,
those who draft Isaiah Pacheco regret it.
And that's because Samajé Piron.
You know, they didn't do anything in the offseason.
so I'm like oh wow
Pacheco is going to have a three down roll
well I don't know about that now
you know Piron they already said he's going to play week one
so
and then I don't know about Carson Steele getting short yardage
but if Pryon can knock Pacheco off the field
half the time
I mean compared to the third down receiving snaps
that Pachko was getting last year that that
that could hurt so now he's going to become pretty
touchdown dependent or else he might be a guy
oh he got 19 carries
for 73 yards.
He caught two balls for 12, didn't score.
I think P. Ryan's going to do more than Jurek.
McKinnon did last year.
You know, I think people look at McKinnon.
Remember what he did two years ago when he was really good.
He had some number one overall running back weeks two years ago.
And, I mean, last year, McKinnon only caught 25 passes.
So I think that we're going to get more out of P. Ryan.
P. Ryan, I think I'll catch 50 in his sleep like he did last season.
Let's move on to the LA Chargers where no one thinks they're going to complete a forward pass this year.
We've got, you know, Jim Harbaugh, we've got Greg Roman, Herbert was injured with his foot issue.
We have no great weapons to speak of guru.
I think the Chargers are going to surprise people on offense with how they move the ball, some of the points they can put up.
I mean, God knows who's going to run the football.
Maybe it's a three-headed monster of guys there, but they're not going to be, I think, as dire and desolate as people think.
think you know they did let darn old parham go and unless unless they re-signed them like
overnight you know it is a little tricky this time of the year oh they cut them oh wait
never mind they re-signed them let's see here no so they did cut donnie p and they ended up keeping
seven receivers including simi fahoko who's been around and jerry rice's son who i interviewed
Brendan, a little Darius Davis.
So, I mean, that could be a little bit of a tip off that, oh, you know, they're not
going to be playing with leather helmets under Jim Harbaugh.
Best vibe, of course, is my guy, Josh Palmer, but our other guy, Ladd McConkey's, he's back.
I feel okay there.
Yeah, I don't have much.
Am I targeting anyone here other than Palmer?
Nah.
I mean, I'll take McConkey if he slips a little bit.
but bold prediction,
Josh Palmer will catch 75 balls
and he's another guy who'll be a top 30 receiver.
Yeah, I'm with you.
I've been drafting Josh Palmer left and right.
You know, my bold prediction here,
just watch out for this backfield.
I'm going to take anybody over Gus Edwards.
I'm taking the field versus the Gus bus
because Gus just isn't talented.
Go look at his numbers.
They're beyond pedestrian.
He's got, you look at the numbers and you go,
a guy named Gus probably ran for those numbers.
right jk daubbins will see i mean jk daubbins when healthy which he never is is infinitely more
talented than gus edward and starts over him all the time you think we like him and
draft him just because we think his name gus is cool i think gus is a terrible name gus boss yeah i don't
know it's like the tank bigsby tank dell that's a cool name like there's other guys who have
super boring names and you're like ah i wish this guy had a better name they'd be like you know higher up on
the list although i i i work with a guy uh in la gus gus shout out gus uh love gus so i'm going to disagree
g is a better name you get the double g's yeah true true yeah great guy uh but yeah i embrace gs
we all love a set of double double gs here on the fantasy points podcast we do let's go to the
la ray you know where you can find some of those out in los angeles with the rams uh so the rams here
you got Cooper Cup 31 years old Pooka Nukuua still got this knee issue you know the bursasack
they were talking about but oh does he i didn't even know that what yeah yeah yeah he had that
bursasack issue and i mean he hasn't practiced in like three weeks oh right right right well i'm not
drafting um so i haven't really kept up with that um yeah again it's it's one of those things
like we don't know what's going to happen by the way remember that clip we had that we we pushed out
I'm like, guys, the Cameron Williams, guys, you don't know shit.
Stop looking at me or acting like, you already know what's going to happen and I'm off base.
You guys don't know shit.
It applies here as well in these situations where it's like, guys, you do not have a freaking
clue how Cooper Cup season is going to go.
The question is, what side of the equation are you going to land on?
because he's got massive upside if all goes well,
but he could also kill you by falling off a cliff.
Which side are you on?
I'm on the cliff side.
I was on the cliff side last year.
Granted for a month and a half,
I was like, ooh, whoops,
but then he got hurt and he was worthless,
so I felt better.
So he's 31 years old
with pretty serious issues below the waist here.
I'm out.
Yes, and for that reason, I'm out.
My wife watches all kinds of shark tank now,
which, here's the problem with tangent here.
Here's the thing with Shark Tank.
You know, like once an episode, maybe they'll show an update.
Every episode should just be updates.
Whenever a guy leaves, they should immediately show you what happened with his business.
Right.
Because that's all you want to know, that you just start Googling,
oh, what happened to this company?
They look interesting.
Do you ever hear the story from that show, The Scrub Daddy?
The Scrub Daddy.
I mean, that was my nickname in high school.
But go on.
It's like a, it's like this sponge.
It's like this special awesome sponge that apparently, anyway, my daughter went to school
and below, middle school.
She went to a school in Philadelphia with the kids from that.
And she said the most annoying family that you'll ever meet in your entire life from,
from South Jersey.
Just, just throwing that out there.
The scrub daddy parents are guys annoying.
Let's just, let's just say, FYI.
Welcome our new.
sponsor scrub daddy too no no we're big with scrub mommy scrub mommy is where we're we're all no
i have no idea but i've never really watched that show just i don't really mind mark cuban you
know i i have a i had a history a little thing with mark cuban where i remember it's the first ever
podcast exactly so i mean i have no problems with mark cuban not that i knew him at the time
But when Mark Cuban had like six customers or six employees in like 1996, I did a podcast for the company that he eventually sold to Yahoo for like a billion dollars and then the rest of history.
Man, we got to get some residuals on that.
I did nothing to help Mark Cuban with this podcast.
It was probably listening to by like 26 people.
Who knows?
Hey, you know what?
Here's my thought on on the Rams.
I want a piece of this run game.
If Kyran falls, I like him, or if you didn't get Kyran,
boy, I hope you got Blake Corum.
Because either way, whoever runs the ball in this McVeigh offense is a freaking stud.
And the cheapest value is Blake Corum.
So I hope you guys got a piece of him.
I think Blake Corum by the end of the year will be a, you know,
weeks 15, 16, 17, when it matters.
He's going to be scoring you 18 points again.
I mean, he's one of the best handcuffs out there at the very least, right?
I mean, he's clearly going to have a role or a chance to carve out a role alongside Williams.
I don't think it's going to be that significant because you don't want to, you know,
pull back from your guy in the hot hand, get them rolling, keep them in the chemistry and all that.
You know, but then again, maybe they overexpose him again.
He wears down a little bit.
I mean, we are banking on an injury, but I'm with you generally.
I think he's more talented than Kiron Williams.
and I think if he if Kyron does go down I hate to it's kind of a lazy analysis but sometimes I find
myself I have to do it like common sense maybe it's not going to hurt you if you take them in the
10th round most likely and it could win you the championship basically so I'm I'm signing off on that
as well here's a bold prediction Colby Parkinson oh will be weaver wire fodder in September
you know they they paid him some money to come down from to see from Seattle to be there
starting tight end uh while Tyler Higby's out so yeah they're got to throw the ball to somebody
down there at the tight end position they've shown in the past that they like to utilize a tight end
I like that call you want to hear how much of a dick I am guru so again I'm at my draft
over the weekend a buddy of mine big Michigan fan guy wears a Blake corn Michigan jersey to the
draft and the only reason I know this is my golf partner in his backpack he's got a wreck he's also a rams fan
has a rams blake quorum jersey for when he inevitably would draft blake corum and to take it up
you took him guess who took him right before him i go hey what size is that jersey buddy you got i'm about to
put it on that's that's that's nice and you but did you know that he did that i knew he had yeah he's my
golf partners we told me that story like six months ago that he was going to do that and he never
ever forgot, man. You're like an elephant. Oh, he was pissed.
He was pissed. Uh, you know, else is pissed. Just, you know, anybody who has to go to a Raiders game
because you have to, you know, watch the Raiders and Gardner Minchu at this point. I'm not in on him.
I'm not in on Adams. I've been more out on Adams than, than ever. He's not coming back. I don't think to
to LA or to Las Vegas, excuse me. That's my bold prediction is Devante Adams has traded.
40 plus million to be on the roster next year is cap number. No way he's coming back.
The only guy I like their guru, Brock Bowers.
I think they're going to move them around a little bit.
They're going to be a negative game script in the second half.
Maybe it gets a bunch of garbage time.
I don't end on that.
I love Brock Bowers.
Brock Bowers is a player.
I just love saying Brock Bowers,
but I am not in on him this year.
I do think, look,
Devante Adams is a guy who was hitting at 30 plus target share last year.
He's got to get his.
Michael Mayer.
I mean, they're going to play with a lot of 12 personnel.
like he was a you know viable top tight end from last year's draft class um and then i the only
player i like last year was jacobi myers i actually nailed that uh i was pretty high on jacobie
meyers had him way over his 80p this year i'm like ah you can have them uh but yeah the only bold
prediction i have is let's just say zimir white is going to come through i mean he he
If healthy, he'll come through.
He'll be like a top 20 guy.
He'll be like 19 with 250 plus touches.
The alternatives are very weak there.
I mean, I am not, I was not in on Alexander Madison last year.
A lot of people were.
That's my team.
I'm like, no.
Why?
Because he's a jag, no offense.
I didn't do it.
And there he is.
He's the number two.
And then the three is Amir Abdullah.
I mean, this is really bad.
Yeah, it's, we'll see.
A little Dylan Lobby action, baby.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, I love this guy.
I'm telling you, man.
He is, I told you a story.
Like, they call him, like, I think they call him,
weren't they calling him Debo?
I mean, he's got a little.
I wasn't at practice that day.
Yeah, he's got a little Debo there.
There's just something about this guy.
Like, he, he, the least entitled guy like you'll ever meet in your life who's entered
the NFL.
I mean, I used to say that.
I said that about Rashad White, because I love Rashad White, when he was.
was a rookie coming out.
I'm like,
this guy's not entitled at all,
blah,
blah,
Dylan Lobby is less than that.
Like,
he's just so happy to be there.
And he's a good receiver.
He's a good football player.
Hard-nosed guy.
Wouldn't want to get in a fight with him.
I'll tell you that right now.
Beat that crap out of me because he's just strong as it.
He looks like an ox.
He just does.
He just looks like a football player.
So yeah,
that's a good call.
Dylan Lobby will factor into this backfield for sure.
How about in Miami,
where their back.
field is super explosive. I mean, the speed that they've got is just off the charts with
most certain his 18 rushing touchdowns last year. And then I believe you had 21 total. And then
my guy this year, I'm in Devon A Chan. I get that, you know, you can't repeat that efficiency,
but I don't care. I'm trying to win my leagues. I've took them in the second round of a bunch of
drafts. You know, only one guy wins the league. And that's what I'm here for. So the vibes in
Miami. God, I hope they're good,
Guru, because I need it. I'm betting on some of
these dolphins big. I mean, they're not bad.
So you got that going
for you. It's, you know, I feel
okay. I know Tyreek had a little bit of
thumb issue. Odell
is gone, or
not gone, not
there
for the first four weeks.
So that's
actually pretty good for Hill and Waddle
because the receiving call all of a sudden
looks just like last year when they were
bow guarding all the targets now malick washington the rookie has flash he does look like a tyrielle guy
who might get the ball in his hands where he can run a little bit best vibe and i do think john who was
going to help them so i feel good overall uh my best vibe is for jalen right i wasn't that into into him
before the preseason but i watched him and i think he's good i really do i think he could be
really good if he got, you know, a good amount of volume, 15 to 20 touches. Between
A. Chan and Moster, I mean, he's going to be a fast. So I'm going to say Jalen Wright has at least three
top 30 fantasy weeks this year. Oh, okay, okay. I like that. I'm going to say my bold prediction,
Rahe Moster doesn't score 20 touchdowns again. Wow. Alzy going on a limb now. You know, my
bold prediction was with Jamal Williams last summer. I'm like, and I said,
at the year. He's right when he scored the 17
touchdowns, I'm like this dude's scoring
four next year, okay? He got
one. He got one. Let's go talk
about your Minnesota Vikings.
You know, kind of a bummer. They lose
J.J. McCarthy. So now it's
the Sam Darnold show for
Justin Jefferson and Addison
and the guys. T.J. Hawkinson, he'll come back
at some point during the season.
Aaron Jones, the new running back in town
here. We still got Ty Chandler kicking around
as the secondary option
here. What are your thoughts and the vibes
with your vikes.
Not good.
I don't think the quarterback situation
is going to be good enough
to maintain high-end production
for everyone.
I mean, Jefferson will probably be okay,
even if it's Nick Mullins,
but I think Addison is a little overvalued.
The problem I have is it's just,
it's such a buzzkill
because I do not believe
that Sam Donald can maintain a consistent
and relatively high level of play
over the course of two, three months.
Now, maybe Kevin O'Connor,
He has a little bit of a quarterback whisperer, but I've seen it happen too many times where like, yeah, the ship is sale.
Like, Darnold is just, he doesn't have it.
He can't do it.
So they'll try and run the ball.
They'll probably put a little bit too much on Aaron Jones.
He'll probably get hurt.
And I don't think Ty Chandler, and I like Ty Chandler last year as a late pick, actually.
And I liked him two years ago coming out.
I don't think he's good enough to be an RB2.
I just think it's going to be a lost season.
I don't like anyone.
the Vikings. I'm with you. I'm not touching
Justin Jefferson any drafts.
And I think halfway through the year,
it's going to be like last year. You're going to see all sorts
of rando guys playing quarterback.
They'll start trading for backup
guys like Joe Flacco
and Ryan Tannahill will make a start or something
like that. Yeah.
Exactly. One of those years.
Let's go to New England where the Patriots suck.
You know, they're starting Jacoby Reset
for some, you know, reason, probably their schedule.
They don't want to get Drake made killed. Their offensive
line is horrendous. Yeah.
I don't want anything to do with most anybody here.
I did take a couple late shots on Jalen Polk because they spent, what, a second round pick on him.
You know, he's pretty flashy.
And they're going to be in negative game scripts in a lot of these contests.
And it's a bunch of nobody's Tyquan Thornton, KJ Osborne.
I mean, geez, Louise, guru, who we throwing the ball to here?
I mean, Douglas, he's going to be the top.
Douglas, that's their guy.
Yeah, that's it.
I mean, I have liked Ramandre all year and I didn't take him on my list, but man, I, I'm not really feeling warm and fuzzy about it, although he is the man because they somewhat surprisingly let the Harris kid go.
Now, did they re-sign him on the practice squad yet?
There he is.
So it's a moot point.
There he is.
So I feel a little bit better about it because I think Kevin Harris, if, if Ramandre goes, we'll have to be.
elevated, but yeah, I'm, they're just, they're just so poised for mediocrity. It's just,
it's not funny. Now, I have been of the sit Jake Maycamp, actually,
Chicago Berset didn't have a great summer, but if I'm running the team, if I'm Gerard Mayo
or craft the owner, I think there's probably more downside than upside to playing Jake
May early. Like, what's the point? I understand, yeah, you want to get them out there.
but that'll come eventually like what is the point in the first six weeks at least like do you are you
trying to ruin this guy so that's why i think it's going to have to be burset and my feeling was that
it would be burset for probably like 10 12 13 weeks i kind of pulled back from that a little bit
but when they named him the quarterback that was a pretty permanent way they did that i don't know
if you saw the wording of it or or heard it but to me that was like jacobo
we're set starting at least six games six is a good number i think you know that that's right about
where they want to be and then they'll have may come in and and take over because again nobody cares
it's a total punt season uh they're probably going to have a top two pick and maybe they have the
number one overall pick and they can trade it or right you know take i don't know whoever's coming out
this year i'm sure our guy brett whitefield will be all over that but that ideally if you're a
patriot's fan you want to get that number one pick and then just trade it for a hall yeah and
and then just load up with fresh young talent.
You already traded away your best defensive player last week.
Yep, yep, absolutely.
Another team that could have a lost season down in the Big Easy,
the New Orleans Saints.
You know, Clint Kubiak now is going to be running the show on offense.
Alave is always somebody we like because he's super talented,
but he's tied to Derek Carr.
We still have the aging Alvin Kamara there.
There's not a lot I really like about this team guru,
but, you know, it depends on when you get a lave,
because he's just going to get forced fed the ball.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm warming up.
I'm back a little about it.
I listen to a podcast of a couple of guys I know who cover the Saints.
And they were talking about the route combinations being a little bit better this year for Alave.
I kept them on my list, thankfully.
So I feel pretty good about that.
Like he's going to be the man now.
I mean, it's like, it's like that movie.
You're the man now, dog.
You're the man, Alave.
A little finding forester action there, a little Sean Connery,
coming at you. No other real good vibe though. O line is deteriorating. It's not great.
And then Rashid Shaheed, I loved last year as a late pick. And he was, he had his moments for sure,
but I have not been on him this year. But, you know, maybe we should. Maybe he's a guy like week
two, three, if he's been dropped or undrafted, you might want to pick him up. But no, I don't
feel great overall. I mean, it's pretty bad when, I mean, do you know who Jordan Mems is?
Because that's currently the third running back. Jordan Mems, I, I think.
I think I worked with him at a Taco Bell a few years ago.
I'm not sure.
He's 25 years old at a Fresno State.
I guess he's got one year.
He was on a couple of practice squads last year.
Like, what are we doing here?
Like, I don't know.
Not great.
It's a team that is always in cap hell.
And they got to try to get out of it somehow.
And they're just so poorly run.
They mortgaged everything in those,
the end of that Sean Payton,
Drew Breeze era.
And they can't get out.
tried to reload as opposed to rebuild, basically, is what they, you know, which I think maybe, I mean, it's easier to say in retrospect.
But I remember two years ago, like, what are we doing here? We reload and rebuild? No, I guess we're reloading. Well, we didn't reload to anything.
And now, now, unfortunately, ironically, they might need a rebuild after this year if it doesn't go well.
Yeah, I mean, you look at, you know, Derek Carr, they brought him in and what is his, I want to see his, I put him David Carr.
that yeah that's always a thing when you look at it and go there a car didn't play for the
the giants uh let's see the the money that he's still owed here yeah oh my lord uh the cap number
next year 2025 take a guess guru on how much derrick car's cap number is in 2025 39 million 51 million
damn 2026 he doesn't have any guaranteed money but his cap number 61 and a half
half.
Didn't have a good vibe, by the way.
I actually sat down with Spencer Rattler.
You know, I always, oh, he's a great guy.
Nothing was a bad guy, but like, I didn't, I didn't.
We'll see.
It'll be a good litmus test, but I don't know.
Another team with a shaky quarterback room is the New York football giants.
If you watched the offseason hard knocks, you saw Joe Shane, their general manager,
who obviously won that job during a radio call-in contest.
You know, the Giants, they've got Malik neighbors,
I love. I'm trying to get him on every team I can, but he's got to get the ball from Daniel Jones,
who stinks. The line shaky at best. We've got, you know, uninspiring Devin Singletary.
You know, the D line should be good guru. I got good feeling on them, but the secondary sucks.
So it's going to be another long year and big, you know, for the big blue.
Yeah, I'm not, and again, I'm always trying to get better. And I don't want to kind of like just
stick to my normal
protocol, but normally a guy
like neighbors, I'm all in because
I do agree, he's an absolute baller.
I mean, I said that from the beginning. I was like,
oh my God. You know,
I even just watched some tape
of some of his first practices, and I was
like, wow, the acceleration
against NFL DPs. And he did that
at LSU, of course.
A little gadgety in terms of the production,
which is probably for the best with
Danny Dimes, but I'm still
I think there's more that can
go wrong to ruin it, then I think it's more likely that the myriad potential problems are prevalent.
And, you know, I think it's more likely that it disappoints than everything lines up, planetary
alignment and the talent shines through.
That would be a huge story in the NFL and for the Giants if that happened.
Are we really counting on that?
I'm not.
I'm not.
My best vibe is, geez, I actually kind of like correspondingly, Wondale is a cheap guy, like 225
picks in. And then also I do think Daniel Bellinger will probably catch 50 balls for what it's worth.
I mean, Theo Johnson, I know is flashy, but Bellinger's rock solid and he's going to play a lot.
He's going to be their top target for most of the season.
Let's keep cruising along. Same stadium, different team, the New York football jets.
They're going to play guru at a very methodical slow pace with Aaron Rogers. That's just that's the
offense that they run and they still have two guys being drafted with an ADP in the first round,
Brees Hall and Garrett Wilson.
I've gone on record.
I say Garrett Wilson is this year C.D. Lamb.
He's a guy you're drafting end of the first round, early second round, who is going to put up
wide receiver one numbers because as Mr. C told us last week, they're not playing him outside
of the X.
He's inside the Z.
They're moving them all around and he's just going to have a monster season.
If everyone stays healthy, meaning the tackles and the quarter,
quarterback. The Jets are going to the playoffs. The Jets are going to win that division. They're a very
talented team. Yeah, I agree. I know that there's that whole story about the locker room and some
schism, which I never rule out any any locker room schism when the complicated fella, Aaron Rogers,
is there. And he probably is calling shots that that maybe some people don't appreciate.
You know, my theory was that, oh, why don't they sign Joe Flacco last year? He can still play.
maybe they make a run like the browns did oh they probably didn't because the complicated
fellow would have been a little butt hurt that's just a theory just a theory but but i could see him
being uh that way because of what it didn't make any sense it's like dude you had this guy on your
team last year and he threw the ball really well you're dying and you're not even kicking the tires on
joe flaco wonder why anyway that said i do have a good vibe i'm with you my guy
Tyler Conklin.
Yeah, we're probably a little touchdown dependent.
Put it this way.
Even if he underwhelms, he could, from what I think he'll do,
he could still be a top 12 guy, even if I'm disappointed.
So let's, we'll say top 12 tight end for Tyler Conklin.
And I'm with you on Garrett Wilson.
Garrett Wilson catches 105 balls for like 1,400.
Oh, I like it.
I like it.
Or as you guys in Philly, you loik it.
Oh, Roy.
Speaking of Philly, let's go to those birds.
By the way, speaking of Philly, I want them to sign the former Jet quarterback because I just want to turn on WIP or Philly Sports Radio and hear someone say, you know,
O'Lewik, moik-O-Roy.
That could happen.
I hope Philadelphia does not have to play any backups this year, number one, because I don't want to see Kenny pick it on the field, but it also means Jalen Hurts would have gone down.
The Philadelphia Eagles, obviously, you know, the soon-do-beyeas.
be Super Bowl champions this year.
They're going to start their season Friday in Brazil against the Packers.
What a great way to start, man.
The NFL and those of they're doing.
This is a made-for-TV league.
They went out and they got themselves a new offensive coordinator in Kellynne Moore,
who loves to run 11 personnel.
Well, that means they needed to get a third receiver.
They did so by trading for commanders, was a third-year-wide receiver in Jahan Dotson.
So now you have Dotson Smith, who can play a lot more inside.
and of course, A.J. Brown.
What are your vibes here, Guru?
You've always been a guy.
You lived in the area.
You spit it straight on the Eagles.
You're not drinking the Kool-Aid just because you know,
in that Del Marva area or whatever it is.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, well, Kellyn Moore, the officer coordinator,
literally bought a house a block away from where I used to live.
So, yeah, Nick Siriani walks around like he's like kind of a regular dude,
which is weird, right, in the same town.
But, you know, I bring it up, A, to town.
drop because you know i like to drop but i think it's a good sign that kellen more moved to the same
hometown as nick seriani maybe not i do i know that last summer a j brown who also lives right
around there there in seriana we're working out of my kids high school field so i'm sure kellen
more has probably done that too so i have a good vibe here i'm not expecting much from jehan
dotson but anything he can give him is a bonus i i feel all right i i don't know
what the hell happened to Kenny Pickett.
I do not think he's as bad as it seems,
but I mean,
do not forget, like,
this time last year,
all Steeler fans
were believing in Kenny Pickett.
And they're not dumb fans.
Like, they know.
Like, Eagle fans,
they don't know shit about the rest of the lake,
but they know their team, right?
Kenny Pickett's great as a backup quarterback
because he's on a rookie deal.
this year's 26 he makes less than two million bucks you know this year and next year he makes 2.6 so
as a backup that's what you love you're not you're not paying anybody because you're paying
hurts a time i just think there's something else going on with him above and beyond oh he doesn't have a
gun for an arm you know like okay uh there's a lot of guys who don't have guns for arms anyways
um yeah overall pretty good i even like barclay you know but but i tell you the guy love just in
general is will shipley i just i just love that kid um i loved his answers to my questions at the
combine i just had a great vibe from that kid and by the way and i gave him love and articles and stuff
guess who's had a great summer will shippley so just throwing out out there don't be i i my bold
prediction it's not that bold will shipley will score at least three touchdowns this year at least
all hey hey it's three more than i'll score that's for sure yeah my bold prediction the eagles who
win the Super Bowl because I'm a pathetic holder. Let's go on across the state to the west into
Pittsburgh where the Steelers, it might be a struggle to get a winning season for Mike Tomlin
this year. I mean, you're starting Russell Wilson, you know, we kind of had that back and forth.
We got Justin Fields there. You got Farty-R-D-Smith as your OC. You know, the offensive line now
looks like it could be an issue. Say Amaloo's beat up. He's got some kind of chest issue. So,
the vibes are not great for the Steelers.
But look at his schedule.
We're going to open at Atlanta at Denver and then the Chargers.
Mike Tomlin.
We're going to be 3 and O.
You know, then they got there at Indy.
We're going to matriculate the ball.
That's my Mike Tomlin impersonation.
I love Mike Tomlin using big words.
Like what are some other big words that he uses?
Damn it.
I can't pull him in.
but I love his musculature.
Can we use that?
I just love the way Tom on talk.
I do think he's a little full of himself at this juncture,
but anyway, that's neither here nor there.
Falcons, Broncos, Chargers, Colts.
I mean, they could be four and O.
Cowboys, Raiders.
Or with Artie Smith, they could score six points.
Yeah.
Giants, it's a good schedule, though.
It gets crazy at the end.
Brawley and I were talking about that.
Oh, yeah, the end is brutal.
Forget it.
Trade all your Steelers at the deadline.
That is true. The end is absolutely brutal. After week 10, Baltimore, Cleveland,
Sincy, Cleveland, Philly, Baltimore, Casey. I mean, that is, that is absolutely ridiculous.
But good luck. But on the other hand, like, are you really worrying about that for your draft?
Not really. I'll take in George. I like George Pickin still. You know, like no I you trade.
All of a sudden. They got nothing else. Who else are going to throw to ball? The guy should get 15 targets a week.
Cortland Sutton had, what, 11 touchdowns last year from Russ Wilson.
Russ Wilson can still throw the ball down the field.
It might not be super accurate, but he'll get it there to you.
The vibes aren't great, but it's a situation that we could be, things could be cleared up in a week or two or three.
You know, Siamalo and Broder Jones get their acts together, Fetano, the rookie, let's say, and Frazier, the rookie.
You know, it's probably too much to ask for a great stellar play from the O line and all that.
September, but with the schedule, maybe they can get through it, and then maybe they start
rolling. You know, I do think the defense will be very good. I like the fantasy defense for what
it's worth this year. My favorite fantasy defense to draft, and I've done it the first
few weeks, because I'm just drafted for the first couple weeks. Then you're going to make
move, right? Is the Seattle Seahawks. Their schedule for the first two weeks is fantastic.
And the reason I also like the Seattle Seahawks is because I'm big on Ken Walker. I think
think Ken Walker is going to finish as a top seven fantasy running back this year.
They're going to get him out in space.
They're going to finally, like, get out of this Pete Carroll donkey system,
you know, throw it a ball to him a little bit and just going to open it up.
You're going to play, you know, a football that doesn't include, like, as you say before,
leather helmets.
Yeah.
I'm big on Ken Walker this year.
Yeah.
Receivers.
JSN, I think, you know, you got a good vibe on him.
DK is DK.
He's always overdrafted for what he ends up producing.
You know, lock it, shoves it down our throat every single year.
Yeah, he does. He does.
It was like one of the last five years, I liked Lockett.
And I was right.
But the other four years, I was probably wrong because he was good.
But yeah, I'm with you totally on Walker.
I'll go a bowl prediction top 10.
I think that's.
Nice.
If he's healthy.
Of course, big F, I guess.
Then I, yeah, I hated JSN.
I remember I just saw our old clips from last year on the shorts.
on our YouTube page.
And I'm like,
oh, yeah,
that's right.
I did a Jackson Smith
and Jickba Hater video
where I said nothing against him,
but like,
guys, Pete Carroll's still here.
What the hell are you doing?
I was right for 10 weeks.
Then he started to come on a little bit
and had a pretty good showing there,
but overall it was a good call.
And now I'm kind of in on them.
I love that when I'm down on a guy and basically right.
And then the next year,
I'm like,
you know what?
I think people overrated,
him last year and now they're overcorrecting
and now he's undervalued
and then you get that right and I'm like that's beautiful
and that's what I'm seeing here with JSN.
I think Noah Fant's going to be a waiver wire guy
people are using his by week
fill in he'll be playing hokey pokey with the
lineups. Yeah.
You know, because they need somebody out there to play
and Gino will be a good
value for what it's worth.
Okay, okay. I've always had
a hard time with him. Maybe it's just a blind spot where
I'm like, this guy's not good.
Well, it's not.
coached up in the right scheme he's shown he can produce right he's got a great threesome at receiver
they've devoted a bunch of resources to the old line and he you can get him at 200 plus so
i'm not that into him either but i'm just looking for an r oi guy that would be jino smith
all right won't you save me san francisco the 49ers brandon iuk you know the national crisis
is over he has signed so iuk and dibo on the outside
You know, Ricky Pierce saw some scary news over the weekend.
He was shot in a robbery attempt, but looks like, you know, he's going to pull through.
So, you know, our thoughts out with Ricky, hope he's doing okay.
You know, real life, trumping, you know, fantasy here.
You know, we just want the kid to be okay.
You know, Purdy's going to be fine.
CMC, you've got your issues with John.
But the vibes overall in, if we don't get, you know, Big Trent Williams back and then the vibes are real shake.
Yeah.
Yeah, real.
shaky is right um yeah i've had a kind of a shaky vibe all summer they are ultra talented every very well
coached so they they can have bad vibes and kind of still work it out but trent williams is a massive
one and again ricky pearsall shout out to him i have no idea what happened but you know i spent
some time in ricky pierceau at the combine i said about interview him some of the best vibes ever
but you know rickie's a real real dude man like he he is that's a man's a man's a man's man
That is a badass dude.
Like he was very respectful, but he will F you up, I feel.
Like, you know, so I wouldn't be shocked if it comes out that Ricky, like, somebody put
out a gun on him and he tried to smack him and, you know, maybe got shot, but the other
guy got shot too and looks like Ricky's doing better.
So yeah, shout out to Ricky Pearson.
So great, great dude, fantasy points favorite.
The story with Ricky was, I get to the senior bowl.
I sit next to Brett Whitefield
in the bleachers.
I just pull up a chair basically
first sitting down.
He goes, oh, you see that guy there from Florida?
They ask my guy Ricky Pearson.
I'm like, oh, cool.
I'll watch him.
He makes two great downfield plays in a row.
I turned to Brett.
I'm like, can he be my guy too?
Because this guy's a baller.
And, you know, that's why I set up the interview.
But look, for Purdy,
I had to tweak everything on Friday
after I published the cheat sheets and all that,
hopefully you downloaded the most current update,
but I had to move party back up because, oh, my God,
we're going to have IEUK and Debo again.
So in that regard, it's good.
You know, McCaffrey, I can't do it.
I just can't do it.
But overall, I'm still going to say a little suspect here with the vibe.
Rolling along here, or a good vibes, bad.
Yeah, we've been doing this so long.
I can't even speak.
Good Lord.
It's going to Tampa Bay, where
they lose Dave Canales and I'll say this. Tampa Bay got lucky in their playoff game last year,
not as an Eagles fan who's like mad about it, but they beat a team who quit. And then they gave,
you know, Baker a little bit of a contract. It's the same thing that happened to the Giants a few years
ago when they wanted or they made a wild card in a terrible NFC. And then they had to pay Daniel Jones.
And they're in the spot they're in now. So, you know, you got your really old aging,
Mike Evans, Chris Godwin's back in the slot. I like that. I'm a big Jaylon McMillan
fan. You know, Rashad White. You loved him last year, guru, but a little smoking mirrors
because he's not really a good runner at all. I'm worried about this team with the new offense.
Liam Cohen, you know, because Canales is gone. So I'm buying in. I like Godwin in the
slot and I'll take a late fly on McMillan, but I don't know. I just, I feel like this team is just,
they're getting real old, real fast. Definitely not taking Baker. I don't trust.
that we'll see about Liam Cohen he did have some exposure to Liam Cohen when he was at the Rams in
2023 for a cup of coffee i'm with yon mcmillan guy i interviewed in in at the combine great great guy
for anybody who's who cares which i highly doubt because i was telling my daughter
because my daughter asked me about ricky pierceau she goes oh my god did you hear about this
football player she goes you wouldn't you wouldn't you
you wouldn't happen to know him or anything i'm like yeah i kind of do i mean he was one of my guys
last year so i played the interview for her which i had to go through my twitter feed
whenever most of the time when i talk about this like if you go through my twitter feed you'll see a
little audio clip in the video clip of me talking with him but there's one of jellon mcmillan
me and him uh you could tell he's very conscientious young man uh but i was also off the record off
the air i was goofing with him so he's a good dude i like them a lot so i like that uh i will say this
about my guy of Rashad White. He is to me a guy, you, you, you must block it up for him a little bit.
Remember CJ Anderson? Sure. I mean, there's a jack. That's a jack. But you remember him
crushing it in Denver that one year? Yeah. Because it got blocked up real well.
It's scheme, offensive line, and it's just you're kind of the right place at the right time.
It's, it's that old running backs don't matter line that people go out there because if you've got
the scheme and you block it upright,
anybody can run through. I mean, and they've got
three guys out there between Bucky
Irving and Sean Tucker, my guy,
and White, whoever's in there
I think can produce for fantasy,
they just got to catch the football.
Well, yeah. I mean, look,
Tucker, your guy, he's a Syracuse guy.
Was he undrafted?
He was like a shot. He was. So here's the deal with
Sean Tucker. He was like a heisman
contender. He had a lot of hype his final
season. He should have came out as a junior.
He stuck around. He played his
or whatever it was. He should have came out and he went back to Syracuse for another year.
I thought he looked like Bo Jackson on a couple long runs. Okay.
Right. And then Syracuse ran him into the ground and he played his final season through a ton of injuries.
And they found out in like pre-draft analysis that he had some kind of like heart thing, which the end that he's fine.
Right. But he was just so beat up after all the carries they put on at Syracuse.
He made the mistake of coming back. He should have left when he kind of got a little bit of that Heisman hype.
But he's a really good running back when he gets in space.
He's very talented.
I'll say this.
He's a more talented runner, and this is not a Syracuse Homer Tate, than Bucky Irving.
Bucking Irving's a small guy who came out of Oregon.
And I know he's got the draft capital, but you put everybody in that field.
I think Sean Tucker is the most talented of all three guys.
But they do love Rashad, and he is a great receiver.
You know, you can't take that away from him.
That's where he makes his money.
Yeah, great receiver.
And I said that before he even took it down in the NFL.
I'm like, this is some of the best hands I've ever seen by running back.
So, you know, I feel like I know it's boring and I haven't taken them a lot myself.
Last year, I took them every single time.
Also took Skymore every time, but you can't win them all.
But, yeah, it was like every year last year.
Like, oh, round seven, give me Rashad White.
No, round eight, give me Rashad White.
Round nine, give me Skymore.
You know, one for one on that.
But yeah, I still feel all right.
I mean, my point was on the O-line stuff,
and I know Graham Barton is only one person,
but that was their number one pick.
I do believe that they will be blocking it up a little bit better.
Cody Mock, still developing, year two.
Bredesen at left guard.
Worf's was great at left tackle.
So I think the O-line will be a little bit better,
and I think that will help, Rashad White.
He needs a little bit of help.
I think he's going to get a little bit more support up front with the blocking.
one team that had a
abysmal offensive line last year
was Tennessee, maybe the worst
in the entire league. So they go
out and Brian Shanahan
comes in and they're going to have
his father as the O line coach.
So they're going to shake it up
too with the offense they're going to run
guru. It's not going to be this Derek Henry
two yards in a cloud of dust offense.
We're going to see a little more wide open.
We've got Tage Spears. We got Tony
Pollard in the backfield. Kind of little
same zies here with these two. But
It shows you the kind of offense they want to run.
I think from what we had last year and now, the vibe's got to be a thousand times better.
Yeah, they're pretty good.
I mean, between Skoronsky last year and then Cushingberry, bringing them over from Denver,
and then Latham, the number one pick this year.
I actually think they might have a top 12-0 line.
I mean, that's a big ask.
But then again, not when you have one of the greatest offensive line coaches in Bill Callahan,
helping out Brian Callahan. A lot of this is coaching on on offensive lines. That's how, you know,
teams like your Eagles, I mean, what did that start with? What? Howard Mud? Yeah. Back in the day,
like good coaching up front. DeAndre Hopkins forget it. I don't, I don't trust Will Levis,
but then again, I wouldn't be shocked if he surprised for fantasy. I kind of like Calvin Ridley.
I don't love Calvin Ridley, but I do kind of like them because I still think he can run.
our guy Kaplan told us
Chandlin Berks has had a positive
showing. Yeah, overall positive,
but I'm not that into their players
other than Tajé, who I do
love Tajay. Maybe I'll
regret almost placing
him equal with Pollard.
I recognize Pollard's getting paid
a little bit more, and he might
be a better player, but I still
do love Tajay Spears. So he's
a guy that
round 9, 10, I'm taking them every time
whenever I can as my third running back.
because I think he, it's not going to, you can't count on him.
But I mean, he was almost flex considerable last year with freaking playing with Derek Henry.
Oh, yeah.
He had some juice.
And he ripped off a lot of good runs at the end of the season there.
That's why people were so high on him.
And then when they brought in Tony Pollard, everyone's like, what the hell?
I love the hype train ready to go.
I just love them.
I mean, I love running backs who could create on their own, like literally create their own offense.
He is so good with that, like great lateral agility.
contact balance, all that stuff.
I'm with you. Well, guru.
Last and, you know, typically least, the Washington commanders are the last stop on our vibes
tour here.
So Jahan Dotson, he's out of town.
They don't land Brandon Ayuk, but they do have Heisman Trophy winner Jaden Daniels,
who I know a lot of folks are scooping up if you read Scott Barrett's article at
FantasyPoints.com.
He was advocating to draft Daniels later in your home leagues.
Terry McLaurin, I think he's just going to sit on one side of the field and run a ton of routes,
a la DeAndre Hopkins in a Cliff Kingsbury offense from a few years ago.
But the rest of this receiving core guru, good Lord,
Diammy Brown, Zekeas, Luke McCaffrey, you know, the corpse of Zach Erd still running around,
who I think is going to be good for the first six or so weeks.
What are your vibes on the commandos?
How about the fact that we still have the greatest Arnold Schwarzenegger name
on the roster and that being
Jamison Crowder.
I mean, it's shocking
that Jameson Crowder
is still here.
I cannot believe that.
He's still in the National Football League,
but good vibe on Tara McLaurin
for pretty obvious reasons.
I like Jaden Daniels too.
I just like Caleb Williams more.
So Caleb Williams is my backup
if I miss out on Jordan Love
and Jaden Daniels is my
back up if I miss out on Jordan Love and Caleb Williams.
But then again, Caleb, Jaden in an FFPC draft I did Friday night,
Jaden Daniels went ahead of love.
How about that?
They're going to run a fast pace under Kingsbury.
The only problem is in what people call the horizontal raid is his average depth of
target, even through the preseason, was yards and yards lower than the other rookie
quarterbacks when you compare what they've all been doing out there. His was like five yards
an attempt, his ever stepped the target. I mean, they're just not pushing the ball down the field,
at least in preseason. Well, I did have that long throw to Diombe Brown in the first game. That was
a nice throw. But that just shows what everything else is. If you could have a long throw like
that, and then it's like, oh, wait, you're still miles behind these other guys. But I do like
I like him a little bit.
These running backs guru though,
Echler, Brian Robinson,
I don't know, they scare me.
It's like if Echler's going to come through to me,
that means Robinson's not.
So it's like, well, why am I going to draft Robinson at all then?
Because he's never going to catch a pass.
Well, I don't think Echler is going to come through.
So therefore I would draft Brian Robinson because
I don't think, I mean,
we're not getting a ton of checkdowns and catches
with a running quarterback.
Number one. Exactly.
Exactly. And I just,
just don't think we can count on eckler running the rock in goal line situations i know i saw in the
preseason they tried a couple of times got stonewalled um brian robinson got stonewalled in the first
preseason game i believe on on a carry too but you know i i just think it's a different story from
three years ago i guess when eclas shocked us with all those touchdowns it was at four like he's
three four years older it's a completely different offense crappy o line by the way
Jeremy McNickles I still can't believe that I mean I know he's a good special team guy good receiver I guess whatever but yeah by default once again I think Brian Robinson's okay I'm I do have him on my target list I think Luke McCaffer will probably need some time I mean really and I think synod the tight end is very very intriguing but yeah I still do think Zach Zach Ars is going to catch like five balls in week one he just is
sure but yeah i like daniels and i pretty darn good vibe on mcclaren and i'm willing to take
brian robinson and synod late yeah synod's a guy who's going to be on a bunch of playoff
fantasy rosters uh later in the year when you know ertz does his earths things and somebody
needs to pick up a tight end off the waiver wire well whoo guru we made it through all 32
teams here as we get ready for week one uh i'm excited i'm looking forward to it i hope the listeners got a little
