Hey, what's up? It's John Hansen. And coming up this week's edition of the Fantasy Points podcast,
Brian Drake and I review the week that was at week number four is a pretty damn good week for the hashtag
analysis. I'm looking at receivers who came through that I personally liked. Chris Oliva, Drake London,
Deontay Johnson, Justin Jefferson, Jaden Reed, Christian Kirk, Nico Collins, George Pickens.
Hell of a week here. Chris Godwin, pretty damn well.
Did they all come through? Not really, but we'll break down a pretty rock-solid week in this week's edition of the Fantasy Points podcast.
So hang tight for the next hour plus.
Brian Drake and I have you covered.
And as always, you are welcome.
All across the fantasy universe, welcome in to the week four recap show.
I'm Brian Drake, joined alongside the guru, John Hanson.
It's the Fantasy Points podcast.
Before we get started here, John, I mean, kind of a wacky week out here, weather-wise.
We know the hurricane hit Florida and the southern part of the United States, and you're down in that area now.
So I'm sure a lot of our listeners are wondering how you're doing.
We hope they're all doing well, you know, if you got misplaced at all by the hurricane.
We're, you know, our thoughts are out with you guys because it looked pretty devastating.
How are things with you?
Yeah.
All as well, really.
So you don't need to worry about me and my family anymore.
So worry about all the other people.
But, you know, I'm still wrapping my head around everything that happened.
I know even in like Asheville, North Carolina, a place that I've been to a couple of times recently,
just total devastation.
So, you know, I was, we were without power for two and a half days.
I just, we just drove down to Savannah.
I had to do a little bit of, you know, running around getting one room Friday night, one Saturday.
It was like tight in terms of will we get the room.
But I got the room just for food, shelter, and internet so I could write Hansen's hints.
And I'm glad.
I'm glad it was a pretty good week of calls because there's nothing more frustrating.
And, you know, it was a little late getting it out this morning.
but nothing more frustrating than working like literally 30 freaking hours for an article that has such a short shelf life.
And then when it's a bad week, you're like, well, I just wasted 30 hours of my life on that crap.
So this was a very good week.
So this is what kind of gets me up in the morning when, you know, you put in the time to really look deep into the matchups.
Look at all the data, all the coverage shell history.
It's incredibly revealing.
And like I said, it was a great way.
week. I mean, across the board on the site, the data was right and more often than not.
So we'll talk about it. Yeah, we'll go game by game through what we saw here in week four.
And of course, we record this on Sunday night. So we don't have all the fantasy points data that
you guys know and love. So we do our best with some of the snap share stuff and, you know,
the kind of accounting stats and fantasy points that are available to us. But, you know, we have a lot of
fun and we can get our, you know, instant opinions on what happened. And let's start off in an NFC
South battle, Atlanta goes to two and two, 2624 win over the Saints. So just as I've said before,
John, a million times, don't get excited about Derek Carr going two and oh because it never ends
well. But I've got to ask you in this game. It was a setup. Yeah, it's always, it's always a scam.
We used to think that Artie Smith was the problem with not getting Bijan Robinson the football.
And now he's out the door. We've got a whole new regime in here. We still can't get
Bijon Robinson the ball. He's got
seven attempts on the ground
today. He caught up four balls.
So, I mean, what are we doing here?
28 yards rushing. He's
getting out touched on the ground by Tyler
Al Jir who goes for 60 yards.
I spent the number two overall
picking a big league on Bijon, John.
And I know there's a lot of guys out there listening
who got to be frustrated. Like, what the hell's going on
out here would be John?
Well, I think the first thing we need to look at
is their O-Line had that injury.
They didn't have
a McGarry at right tackle so that's number one so you know somewhat encouraging that he got the
receptions you got to work in another guy you can't give him every single carry I'm not that
worried about I mean I think we could be looking and feel a little bit better about Bajon but I'm
still not panicking week one the usage looked great you know maybe Zach Robbins still still
still kind of feeling his way through at least my guy
Drake London is coming through and my other guy, Darnell Mooney.
So, I mean, it wasn't a pretty showing by any stretch.
But, you know, it wasn't bad.
London, hey, hit my prop.
He was one of my top five props.
It wasn't any easygoing.
You got to give credit to the defense sometimes, too.
I mean, they were playing their asses off back there.
Debo and all those dudes.
Mooney just missed a, he drew a big flag.
I mean, Mooney is kicking ass.
I mean, the numbers wouldn't really reveal it, but he's looking good.
but man you could say what you want about bejean uh he did have what was that some was it shoulder or something
popped up i know we practiced fully i did mention it in the column and actually one of my prop prop
plays believe it or not was his under rushing and crushed that one because it was like 72 and i'm
like no and i wrote it but today i'm like it's not looking good uh so i'm not that word but i mean
the Kyle Pitts thing is it's now officially like this is I mean we're talking an all-time
unrealized talent or potential or or maybe he is just this tweener guy who is simply miscast
and we all kind of off base you know brett whitefield brought up a great point you know
the game is is more about like the guy on the other side chris elaveh.
You know, the quick stop, start, change the direction, Tyree Kill.
You're not doing that if you're Kyle Pitts.
You're like this tall, angular, lanky-ass dude.
You take a while to throttle down like a DK Metcalf or something like that.
So I think that's part of it.
I also think he's still soft, as I said last week.
So it is an unmitigated disaster.
Kyle Pitts, the fantasy experiment, is an unmitigated disaster.
Yeah.
If you've got Kyle Pitts out there, I mean, I don't know what the hell you can sell him for.
the guy just goose egged you here.
And it's funny that we talk about Kyle Pitts because the Falcons win the game without scoring an offensive touchdown.
Their defense scored twice today.
Then their head coach after the game, Rahim Morris, was asked about Kyle Pitts.
And he gave us a line that I'm going to poll for Fantasy Football Morning on Sirius XM, where he goes, here's the quote.
It was just about, let me see if I can read this.
It was just about going out there and winning the game.
Stats are for losers, man.
I don't get involved in that stuff.
Really? Okay.
All right.
Well, when they fire your ass, because your offense is garbage, you know,
and you have all these top ten picks that are doing absolutely nothing for you.
Maybe you might worry about the numbers then, Rahim, but thanks for the soundbite.
I mean, why don't they at this point try, I guess you can't because you're doing it with Drake London,
but like try them in the puka roll.
You know what I mean?
or I guess that's what Mooney's playing right now,
the Pooker Roll.
I don't know.
Whatever you're doing
through whatever you're doing
Zach Robinson through four games,
it's just not working.
You know, like, and again, like,
that's always been my criticism of D.K.
Just the,
the one-dimensional element.
Or, you know, I don't say he's a one-trick pony,
but he's straight-lineish.
And he doesn't have that stop.
start ability. You know, Mooney does. You know, remember we should call him the cat and the roadrunner.
I mean, he's got that for sure. But Kyle Pitts is just, it's kind of like lumbering out there,
you know, compared to these small little jackrabbits out there. Yeah, I think somebody a long time ago
figured out, wow, this guy's not a great route runner and receiver. So let's turn him into a tight end.
And then people want to put him against corners and he can't win versus corners. But all right,
we belabored that point enough. Another frustrating guy on the,
the other side, Taysam Hill.
Two touchdown runs today, John.
I mean, nobody starts Taysam Hill.
Maybe he's got a little tight end eligibility in your league,
but I mean, that's just Buzzkill City.
He gets six carries for 24 yards and two touchdowns,
but forget that.
I want to talk to you about Elvin Camaro because the usage that
Camara is getting here is unbelievable.
81% of the snaps.
He's in there on all the third downs.
He's getting the goal line work.
Elvin Camaro was so missed,
Price John in the preseason.
And he is just coming out here right now and just setting fantasy on fire.
Right.
He's one of the top three best running backs in fantasy football right now.
Look, I think I don't know if I've ever articulated this way, but if you're looking
for advice on aged running backs, don't look to this guy because I'm against them every time.
So go with someone else.
You know, there are many times I win, you know, Christian McCaffrey.
Hello.
That's like the biggest mistake.
stake the biggest blunder of the season I was warning people against but in this case obviously
it's a gross I don't say a miscalculation because it was very calculated it's just how I roll but yeah
just FYI don't go by me but you know what was you know to that point though it's like yeah
tasum hill was a bus kill but was he I mean Khmer still got 20 points oh yeah to your point about the
role so they have absolute crap no offense you're
all williams seems like a great dude god love you but come on they have nothing behind them so it's
just they're feeding them and similarly you got to love it right now it sure has held to me
looks like it is a two-headed monster in the receiving court like they have nothing else um so it's a
lave and she heeed you know maybe not every single damn week but she'd look like a number one out
there uh with 11 targets and eight grabs i mean he looked equal to
to al lave so on that hand and you know in that front it's kind of good because okay they got
nothing else they literally have nothing else i mean a t perry is uh i don't know where he's at
you know get it um but they got nothing else so it's just those two guys yeah it's good because
rsci he'd had a couple of kind of down weeks after you know a really nice week one so i like
seeing him get bounced back in because trust me i got actually just one it was just one i believe
I believe it was just one bad week.
I think it was just one, right?
I think he's done good now.
Well, three out of four now, I believe.
Sorry to cut you off there.
Yeah, it's all right.
So we'll see about Rishi Rice.
I guarantee he's going to start sliding into more lineups
week after week, especially with.
Oh, yeah.
Rishi Rice News.
So let's keep cruising here, the Fantasy Points podcast, Week 4 recap.
And, hey, everybody was excited about Dave Canales and this Panthers offense
after what they did a week ago.
And they lost 34-24 to the Bengals.
but there's still, John, a lot of great signs of life here for Carolina.
Let's start with the winners here in Cincinnati.
It's good to see Burrow and the boys get in the win column
because, boy, if they would have started 0 and 4, John,
I mean, you can see the wheels coming off the bus.
There's a lot of volatile egos in this locker room.
And, you know, we get Jamar Chase.
He goes three for 85, gets you in the end zone.
But the big story here are the running backs.
Because Zach Moss, who a week ago, we were like,
Zach Moss is kind of taken over this competition,
even though whenever they give Chase the ball,
he looks shot out of a cannon.
This week, we get two rushing touchdowns for Chase Brown.
He goes 15 for 80 and two scores.
So, I mean, Moss is getting 58% of the snaps,
Brown 42%, but it's still a lot of Moss on third downs.
But you got to like what you see if you have Chase Brown, right, John?
Glad you didn't drop that guy.
Sure.
Yeah, absolutely.
I mean, I felt like harkening back to the Lake,
great Dennis Green. It's like,
Brown is who he thought we
who we thought he was basically.
You know, like it's a little,
a little different. Like,
which I did mention in the good vibes
bad vibes article in the summer. I'm like, you know,
Zach Moss is,
he's going to have a role and he's not a zero in the
passing game. He's pretty good in press pro and all that.
I think Brown, as we discussed on the live stream
this week with Brett, you know, and maybe
Graham, part of the problem there is some
some trust issues in pass pro.
and Moss is pretty good at it.
But again, they had to get them going.
You're not going to survive a whole year with just Moss.
So it's like a dual backfield now.
And Moss is a pretty good RB2.
I mean, it's not sexy, but I mean, clearly top 24.
So Brown is kind of back to me.
Not going to do it every week.
But he's in the role you drafted him for,
like a pretty sexy flex, basically.
you know the passing game you know they haven't necessarily yet had their you know
breakout game but it's certainly nice i mean that was a that was a grown man catching run by
jemar chase for 63 yards uh you got higgins involved yosevish only has one grab it has a big one man
down the middle gisicki turned into a pumpkin a little bit but you know they throw it a good
amount and you know right now the vibes are pretty good there with the bengals
On the other side, you know, look, we all love Deonté Johnson today.
I had him at like wide receiver seven for the week.
He absolutely crushed, absolute great sign with Xavier Leggett.
I mean, he's a big dude, big bodied guy.
Dalton will get him the ball.
You know, I probably should have given him more love myself this week,
but I just kind of wanted to see what happened basically.
And because Mingo was right there with him, I believe in a route share last week.
But he looked good, obviously scoring.
Yeah, and Chuba Hubbard, I guess he felt the pressure like, well, this is my last chance without Jonathan Brooks, and he kind of made it matter.
A little too conservative.
I know Dalton threw it 40 times.
I guess I'm a little pissed because I lost his prop by like four yards.
But you would love in life right now if you have Deonti Johnson at the very least.
And with Chuba Hubbard, I think that he's not going to go as quietly into the night.
Oh, God, no.
As we in the fantasy community talk about.
Like, we're like, oh, they're just going to come in.
They're going to give Jonathan Brooks the job.
Really?
I mean, are they?
Do we know how healthy he really is?
How much he knows the offense?
How much trusted they have him in past blocking?
I think if you have Chuba Hubbard, don't go dropping him or trading him low just because, you know, they're going to bring in Jonathan Brooks.
I did like Leggett.
I mean, I wanted to pick him up in several leagues.
And, you know, he ran 88% of the routes today.
He had a 25% target share.
So as long as the dealings out, I think there's an opportunity for Liget.
he's available in, I mean, most any league out there.
Yeah, absolutely.
Their defense isn't very good.
Dalton is probably going to average 40 attempts a game.
I mean, 38, 40, something like that.
And Deontes is going to get double-digit targets every week.
I mean, just, I mean, just your loving life.
I mean, I don't know what's to say.
I mean, it's just after a scary couple weeks, man, because I was in on Deonti,
Dei, why the frigging am I struggling with this freaking name?
Deontay Johnson, I've been in on him pretty much every year of his career, honestly, I think.
But this year for sure, we're telling people to trade for him.
It was an obvious call.
But we knew it was going to get a lot better.
But this is about as well as you could have expected here.
I mean, he's got to be like the wide receiver six the last two weeks.
Yeah, let's look at seeing what he's did today.
I'm looking at the wide receiver leaders.
Where is he?
Yeah, Dea. He's in the top 10. He's in the top 10, 21.3 ppr points right there. And right behind him with 19.6, Xavier Legate. So nice little one-two punch there. It wouldn't shock me also if Leggett kind of ice is stealing a little bit because he's old. Yeah. For sure. They want to get the young guy. They spent a first round pick on the guy for crying out loud. So let's get him on the field.
Absolutely.
All right. Let's take a time out here real quick. And when we come back, Caleb Williams.
You got to win, but boy, he doesn't look comfortable throwing the football.
More on that when we come back.
It's the Fantasy Points podcast.
All right, everybody, welcome back in the week four recap edition,
Brian Drake alongside the guru, John Hanson.
And the Bears got a win at home, 2418 over the Rams.
John DeAndre Swift is a guy who basically all a fantasy gave up on a week ago.
We were like, DeAndre Swift sucks.
He can't run the football.
They're going to give it to, you know, I saw a quote.
I think one of the coaches on the Bears said,
oh, we're going to have Herbert as our defense,
our goal line back, and we're going to get Rochev.
I was leading the charge.
I was leading the charge on the Swift hate this week.
I was like painted up like Braveheart out there, okay?
And we're waving an anti-Swift flag.
And then he goes and does this.
You've got to be kidding me.
Catches all seven targets,
5.8 yards of pop.
I mean, so aggravating.
and watch him crap the bed this week.
I don't even know who the hell they're playing,
but, I mean, I don't know what the hell this coaching.
Oh, geez, the Panthers.
He'll crush.
He'll crush.
And then you should go and trade them.
I don't know what the hell they have against Rocheon Johnson,
but, and this is multiple staffs.
No, it's the same damn staff coordinator.
Well, actually, it is a different coordinator, right?
Now it's, it's Waldron.
Like, what are they doing with the hate on Rochon Johnson?
I don't get it.
But this is all everyone needs to know.
They paid DeAndre Swift a boatload of money this offseason.
They're never going to go away from him, folks.
I mean, your guy Kaplan used to talk about that all the time.
We're like, oh, we should do this, do that.
They go, the contract dictates he's got to be on the field.
Well, if he, if he sucked like he sucked weeks one through three for another week or two,
like they may have pulled the plug.
Like, that's kind of what I was thinking, but somehow a fire got lit under his ass and he came
to play.
today. I mean, will, will he come to play next week to be determined?
Yeah, we got Keenan Allen returning this week. He only caught three passes for 19 yards,
but this Bears pass game, John, is a struggle. It is tough to watch. I mean,
yeah, Caleb Williams, you know, there's video of him running off the field. He's like high five
and everybody. He goes 17 of 23 for a buck 57 and a touchdown. He's not a fantasy starting
quarterback anymore. I know we kind of talked about that. No, God, no.
No, no.
Early in the season.
It doesn't look.
Caleb, he stinks.
It just doesn't.
And I'm not sure exactly how we can articulate it.
And there's always myriad pieces involved, many reasons why things happen.
But it sure as hell does not seem like this is a good scheme that like they're scheming it for him at all.
Like ideally suit.
I mean, I don't see like, I don't know.
I don't see a lot of layups.
Yeah, he does look.
extremely uncomfortable in the pocket like just weird delivery so yeah it step it away at
from throws I mean he is from what I'm not studying him closely honestly because I don't
want to scratch my cornea I mean there's other people here at the site who are who are
doing that but yeah I he's definitely like playing too fast like I keep thinking I wrote
today like for today before the game I'm like he it looks to me like he's he's an actor
playing a rookie quarterback.
You know, like making all the mistakes, you know, playing too fat.
Like he's just, just swigged a gallon of coffee, not seeing it.
And it's probably not also schemed.
You know, there's a lot of problems here in this pasting game.
They don't really have one.
I mean, it's really hard to count on it.
You know, like on a week to, it's completely random week to week.
Yeah, DJ Moore, three for 22.
Thank God he gets in the end zone, saves his fan.
I mean, I see with that, but you get nothing out of Alan.
Adunze, one for 10.
I mean, I know there's a lot of folks who go crazy out here for rookie wide receivers.
I try not to be one.
I love Malik neighbors, but that's kind of where it ends.
Adunzee, to me, is not a fantasy starter.
He's, you can't count on him right now.
Oh, God, no.
I did like his chances to hit his prop of like 32 yards.
He crashed and burned.
But, you know, he has done very, very well against his own.
And the Rams are zone heavy.
But, I mean, there just was no production to be had.
And, of course, with Allen back, you know, and Commet, still a factor
because I do think Caleb has realized, oh, that's right,
I can lean on this big dude before, you know, in the middle of the field to, you know, help me out.
Kind of spreading around everything and they don't have a lot of production to spread around.
Once again, Carvin Williams continued to freaking just get it done.
Very patient scheme, the offense.
They call good plays, right time, you know.
Stafford's doing all.
he can, just not crap to work with.
You were talking about 2-2-at-well.
We pretty much, that's exactly what you would hope for for a fill-in guy, which I needed
4-4-482.
You'll absolutely take it.
Had a couple opportunities to make another couple of plays.
But otherwise, you know, Wittington might be a pickup, though.
Yeah, he's a playmaker.
He seems to be the hot guy.
Yeah.
He's someone, I thought.
Great blocker.
Great blocker.
So that'll get him on the field.
That'll help.
Yeah.
He's the only guy out there that sort of looks like Pooka Nakua.
And we'll see.
we may get Cooper Cup back, you know, in a week or so.
But Whittington is going to be a hot name off the waiver wire.
If you need some help, Atwell's available in a ton of leagues.
Whittington, I mean, they're not throwing a bowl than anybody else, folks.
So if you're dying out there, you know, you lost rice or next week buys start.
You know, take a peek out there, see if Atwell and Whittington are available.
All right.
Your boys, I don't know how to keep getting it done up in Minnesota, John, but your Vikings go to 4 and O.
they go into Lambo and for a while we're beating a snot out of the Packers.
They were up 28 to nothing in this game.
And they were getting it done with our guy Jefferson, Jordan Addison returns.
He has a pair of touchdowns.
And it looked like that Jordan Love just wouldn't, he wasn't healthy and he didn't look
comfortable early in this game, John.
But as things materialized and really after Christian Watson hurt his ankle and left the game,
then he started clicking with his guy Jordan Reed and Dantey and Wicks.
gets 13 targets today.
So everybody kind of saved their fantasy day in the end.
But it started out rough.
It did.
No, I mean, absolutely.
I mean, the guy's been out since really almost a month,
early September, that game in Brazil.
And the matchup is one that, you know,
look, an extremely accomplished young quarterback,
and C.J. Stroud got ruined by this defense last week.
in his home, no, was it, was it, was that in Minnesota? It may have been in Minnesota. No, it wasn't
his home stadium, but still, he got ruined by the Viking defense. So for a while there, I'm like,
well, this, this might be a throwaway game, basically, and, you know, burn the tape kind of a game.
And look, he does throw three picks. The last one was, you know, kind of just like,
winging a prayer. I think the first one wasn't egregious. I don't know if any of them were,
maybe one, but it just goes to show.
This is why he was my number one quarterback to target this summer.
And this is why I've been begging people to get him.
I mean, look at the ease with which he, granted, he threw it 54 damn times.
But I mean, 389 slash four.
I mean, I don't know if anyone's noticed, but guys aren't doing that this year.
Josh Allen isn't Jalen Hertz isn't even Burrow isn't.
Kyler Murray isn't maybe Jaden Daniels.
Mahomes sure as hell isn't.
Baker is, okay.
Who else is?
It would take Mahomes a month to throw for 389.
Yeah.
No one.
So I think you're looking great with Jordan Love.
Look at the ballerism.
And shout out to Scott Barrett.
That was a great call.
I guess it was maybe too obvious.
I didn't think of it.
But no, I really thought about it.
You know, his valourism.
you jaden reads uh probably is still rising you know in another week or two we're going to be like
oh wow he's literally mini debo and in fact he's better than debo it's unbelievable and then you got
you got my guy melting our guy melton out there i think he just missed a touchdown wicks would i
mean come on two tight ends great scheme oh absolute rocket ship my my contention and i said this
And I wrote this in the article.
And I think I said this on the podcast last week.
I said, Jordan Love starting from week four this week is going to account for 30 touchdowns on the season, starting in week four.
Yeah.
So it's like you said that last week.
Yeah.
Exactly, right?
Well, he's got four.
We got four.
So we're on track easily.
So again, I hope a lot of people got him, man, because this, they dare, I mean, he doesn't run a lot.
So, but, but, but what did I also say about love all summer and, you know, for anyone who's listening?
They don't run for touchdowns.
They, they stink.
They can't.
So that's why, you know, I know they were playing from behind.
They're, they're going to throw for the majority of their touchdowns.
Yeah.
You talk about running in.
I think if you're out there and you're dying at running back,
it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to pick up Emmanuel Wilson.
Now, Wilson went and he got nearly, I think he's going to find it here.
Nearly 40% of the running back snaps today to Jacobs, 61%.
Jacob still owns the majority of the snaps back there,
but Emmanuel Wilson only one less carry today.
They love mixing it up here in Green Bay.
It's something they've always done.
So just on the waiver wire, look for a couple of Packers.
Wilson and obviously Wix is going to be a super hot ad.
Let's go over to the Vikings.
Who knows with Jacobs?
There's always something weird going on with Jacobs.
You know what I mean?
Like who knows?
Yeah, really.
Sammy Darnold.
How about Sam Darnold?
I picked him up, started his ass in a league over Anthony Richardson.
Boy, did that look for stupidous.
So did I.
He goes, 275, three touchdowns, and,
just one interception today. I also gave you 15 yards rushing. So, hey, we'll take that.
Aaron Jones. I was hoping he was going to get into the end zone, do a little Lambo leap. But
that was not to be. But Aaron Jones still doing great out there. Jordan Addison, scoring a couple
of touchdowns, one on the ground and one as a receiver. And, you know, Justin Jefferson,
doing Justin Jefferson things. And by the way, Minnesota is one of, if not the best fantasy defense
out there right now. And they're not
owned in every league because their schedule's
a little wonky and they got a buy coming up
soon, but the middle of their schedule
after their buy is unfreaking
believable if you want to stash a second defense.
Yeah. And
they were a great
data win this week.
If you read my stuff,
you looked at the props. I was in on
the Darnold over the prop. I didn't go
with the Jefferson one because I don't like going
and I don't even think he hit it actually because it may
have been like 92, but
you know if you read the article you know the data pointed to a clear
Jefferson game and it wasn't actually totally that for a little while I was like oh wow
looks like um not going to get this one right but no I think it was right to to get
behind the two I mean again he can go off but six or 85 with a touch and you loved
seeing Jordan Addison get back in the mix he had a rushing touchdown as well
they got what they got one more game against the Jets in London than a buy then maybe
Mr. Hawkinson back.
You know, we talked about the offensive line,
given Darnold that extra time.
The Minnesota Vikings,
I would argue, have never been as well coached
as they are
thus far on both sides
of the ball. So it's
again,
Viking fans, and I'm one of them, man.
We have been through so much
that sometimes maybe
we
we can't even like accept a reality.
Like the fact that the Vikings,
are probably the best team in the NFL right now.
Like it's, and we all, we all thought, we all thought they were, I said,
uh, seven, you know, seven in the 10 or whatever, um, you know, but they're,
I, I have said they're the best team in the league right now.
Who's better than them?
I mean, you'd say Buffalo, Kansas City, those guys, we'd say best in NFC.
We'll give them that right now.
But look who Buffalo is beaten, though.
Arizona.
They got a big one.
some more coming up here.
Kyle and Mary sucks.
Two got hurt in week two,
and Trevor Lawrence sucks.
Meanwhile, the Viking, and again,
I'm not being a homer here,
and I'm very critical
of the Vikings and dessert.
Meanwhile, you know, they beat the Niners,
the NFC champs.
They beat,
they beat three straight playoff teams.
I'm not saying that the Vikings are bad.
I'm just saying, hey.
No, I'm just saying, I think they're in the conversation.
Yeah, I think they disappear to Buffalo.
nice as a Vikings fan you could you could kind of finally hang your hat on this and i mentioned
it earlier they can win with this defense john like this defense is shit with flores calling it back
there he is so good as a defensive coordinator um so yeah you know i i think one thing is like
you don't have as many big star pass rushers you notice that like and i think one of the thing one
of the reasons is like guys aren't racking up sacks and teams aren't racking up sacks per se some cases
they are uh with like one or two studs you know they're doing it with like disguising with scheme
and things like that and so like no names are like coming out of nowhere because of the coaching
so and i think that's part of what flores is doing because you know again they don't have like a
a freaking big name defense here you know the the the biggest
name they have is Stefan Gilmore. They're just
signed off the couch. They got
Van Ginkle. I mean,
I like the name, but they don't have any
big name players on this defense.
I mean, they don't. They really don't.
Harris and Smith is like 46
yet.
They're their top
five in football.
It's crazy. And I mentioned,
hey, if you want to pick them up now, what the hell?
Get that defense. Jets, like you said, then
by, by after that lions, Rams,
Colts, Jags,
Then it gets really juicy.
Titans, bears, cards, falcons, bears again.
Good Lord.
Ride them to the fantasy playoffs.
Oh, man.
That's exciting, John.
I'm glad for you guys that, you know.
Well, I mean, we all know this.
It's like Derek Carr.
We know how it's a setup.
This is a setup.
You know, like, but, you know, it does look like we are, we are being set up to, you know, really, the schedule is really good.
You know, if they can avoid injuries.
I mean, they might be the team to beat in the NFC.
Let's keep it rolling here, Fantasy Points Podcast, a little Monday morning reaction.
Who on their bingo cards had Nico Collins as the best receiver in football after four games?
I mean, man, John, this guy comes out of nowhere.
He wasn't a high draft pick.
He didn't have some breakout rookie season.
And it took him a couple of seasons.
Now he's just murdering it out here.
12 for 151 in a score as the Texans knock off the Jaguars,
who gave them a hell of a fight, by the way.
Jaguars probably should have won this game, to be honest.
But Nico Collins, man, holy smokes,
does he look fantastic out here for a Houston team that you called it.
I'll give you props on this.
Everyone was kind of blowing them like, oh, they're the best.
And you're like, it might be a little too good to be true.
They're three and one, but they're a shaky looking three and one.
Yeah.
We also called the Nico Collins blow-up game.
Everyone was on it.
That was a data point.
He crushes man coverage.
The Jags are dumb.
They keep running it even though Tyson Campbell went on IR.
And, you know, I was on radio with Rich Gannon this morning.
By the way, a former Vikings quarterback, which always is funny because he actually
asked me about my darn old analysis and he was like skeptical.
And I told him all the data points that it was going to be a Jefferson game.
Boom also told him about this.
And last week before, by the way,
I told them that Stroud was going to have
a rough game against those Vikings.
And he did.
So again, data, baby.
Data.
And yeah, and Nico's ascension has been impressive.
And I think I kind of, you know, let's tie it to Stroud.
You know, sometimes guys never get to play
with such a good quarterback that they,
I mean, it's got to help you pop out.
of bed in the morning when you know you got a chance here it's like who's jumping out of bed
to get to work to practice with for davis mills you know what i mean so the human giraffe
and yeah we love nico i had him at wide receiver four for the week and he absolutely slated as
predicted i love that i love it when a good plan goes goes down i mean it's the best also i also
love christian kirk in this game all in baby and he crushed as well so like i said it was a really
good week of analysis. And the rookie Brian
Thomas, and again, I undersold him this summer.
I regret that. Man, he's
a baller. I mean, he's doing all
kinds of crap out there. I thought it would be
much more of a project. You mentioned last
week after they got routed
or it was like, this is a good time to go buy
some of these Jags players because
regardless of what happens,
if they win any games at all this season,
they're going to throw the football, you know,
a bunch, and Lawrence dropped back and threw 33
times. So you got Brian Thomas,
six for 86 and a touch, Kerkie.
Goes seven for 61 and a score.
Interesting nugget here, though, in the backfield where Travis E.TN, I don't know if he was hurt or a little suspension or hit something going on here.
He only played nine snaps in the first half.
And then he had 62 percent of the running back snaps in the second half.
So Tank Bigsby had a lot going on.
Seven for 90.
ETN only ends up with 50 yards rushing and 10 receiving.
So that's odd there.
I mean, E.N might be a guy.
If somebody in the league's hard up for a running back and maybe he's your RB2,
and he got somebody else, he might be a guy I'm looking to move.
Yeah.
I mean, he's a dull backfield guy all the way.
Like, pretty good player overall.
I mean, versatile, durable, generally, for sure.
I mean, had that injury in college.
But, you know, Doug Peterson's been handing about this forever.
Like, they got to get a different look in there.
And Bigsbies gives them a little bit more, you know, power and popping off some long runs, too.
I mean, they don't throw to them.
But yeah, I mean, it's not bad.
It was a very respectable showing.
But again, that was another one where the data did point to, you know, hey.
And it pointed to Christian Kirk the last two weeks.
And boom, again, he's coming through.
So again, well, it's an up and down thing.
But the one thing I will say about Trevor Lawrence, when the data looks, I.
he more often than not comes through.
So all you have to do is read Hansen Sins and the other content,
and you'll probably have a handle more often than not
on whether or not he's going to play relatively well.
Even for him, relatively well, still, you know what I mean, at this point?
But he is somewhat predictable.
Well, I'm going to give everybody a chance to pause the podcast right here.

John, let's take a break right here.
On the other side, your old Pizza Pal from New Jersey is back in the news.
We're going to talk a little Joe Flacco after the break.
It's the Fantasy Points podcast.
All right, everybody, what's going on?
Welcome back in Fantasy Points Podcast.
Week 4 recap.
John, you know, I don't know why Joe Flacco wasn't more in demand out there
after what we saw him do in Cleveland to end the year.
He goes to Indianapolis, takes a backup role.
And as Anthony Richardson gets knocked out of this game early with a hip pointer,
he comes in and leads the Colts to a victory over the then undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers.
So they say Richardson's not that hurt and he's going to come back.
I would say this.
Maybe we give the kid a week to sit down and just kind of watch because everybody's in play.
If Joe Flacko's the quarterback here, I mean, we got Pittman over 100 yards.
Downs gets into the end zone.
You know, we got J.T. doing his thing, 88 yards and a touch.
Like, I kind of want Flacco more than Richardson for the rest of the season, to be honest.
Oh, 100%.
No, you said, can we sit in a minute for a week?
No, you know what my thought was today?
Let's sit his ass down for another year.
How about two more years?
We'll give him two more years.
Sit and, and bro, and just, I don't know, you're not going to get game reps and speed like that,
but you should be a star student in the classroom because Joe Flacco, he's from New Jersey,
he's in full de-gaff mode, he is in fact Joe cool, he does not care.
He's like a zombie.
He's like a freaking robot.
He'll throw an interception and one that may shake another quarterback's confidence,
and he fully does not give an F.
He will go back there and sling it again,
and he can still throw it,
and they've got plenty of weapons.
Thank God, this is a miracle for Michael Pittman.
Josh Downs will be a thing.
Johnny Taylor will actually catch the ball.
I mean, Jesus, we might actually get a tight end or two
for the cults to actually produce like Ogletree,
who scored.
Remember what he did with Nijoku,
but, you know, I actually said,
year like, believe it or not, not that I'm going to do it, but if there is one quarterback
handcuff in football, it's freaking Joe Flacco, because A, Anthony Richardson's a major injury
risk. You know, I've become a fantasy actuary now. And, you know, I'm putting the premium on his
insurance very, very high, Anthony Richardson. So he's a high risk commodity. And number two,
Joe Flacco is still good. Yeah, that's just the key is he can get the ball to everybody else.
On the other side, hey, we're kind of burying the lead here. Justin Fields at the
time of our recording is QB1 in fantasy.
The guy put up 31.9 points in ESPN scoring here, 312 yards passing and a touchdown.
And finally, we got him doing a little more running.
10 carries, 55 yards, not one, but two rushing touchdowns for fields.
And you know, the amazing thing with him, let me see.
What is his ownership at ESPN?
He is rostered.
This is crazy, Guru.
Only 34% of ESPN leagues.
Justin Fields is available.
That's got a change after this week.
You know, I felt bad because I had, I think, at 12 all week,
and I made a last minute, not last minute,
but I think it was last night, change.
But the guy moved over him was Jordan Love.
And by the way, I had them both,
and I did that swap in a couple of leagues.
And I don't know how Love got it,
but it was like Love got like 34 points,
and Fields got like 35.
So it was actually really close.
But this was another one that we were on.
I mean, I don't know where everyone was on them, but I was.
You know, if you read my article this week,
Pickens was one of my top five props.
Crushed it.
This is two weeks in a row.
Fields was a little sketchier this week.
Some of it was volume.
But, hey, Pat Friarie, Muth, man,
And I would not have seen this coming, but he's a tiny one.
Low-key Pat Fryermuth is now reliable.
Like this is four weeks in a row, I believe.
He's at least gone for 40 yards, I believe, on four grabs.
So everybody else here stinks.
Calvin Austin made one play.
He had a good return.
But yeah, I mean, you're feeling good if you have pickings and certainly feels like,
oh, duh.
You know, it's like one of those fake announcements I always make like,
felt like doing that like a month ago like yeah i have no saying the matter but yet justin
field is is the starting quarterback for the steelers like it's over for for russ trade his ass
do something yeah they should why not trade them to miami you know why aren't they're not i mean
by the way they're dumb they're dumb why weren't they interested in joe flacco exactly hello
big dummies makes no sense uh in the back you got one of the best one of the best deep ball
throwers still in football is Joe Flacco.
He could sit back there in that Miami
offense and just play
pitching catch with Tyreek and Waddle all day
long. He'd be like the number three quarterback
fantasy. He'd be
measurably better than
Tua. Yeah. I think
that's probably why they don't do it.
He would not, the difference
would not be like the difference between him
and Deshawn Watson, to be clear.
Measurably might be a little strong,
but I still think he'd be better than Tua.
He'd be more available than Tua.
more consistent.
Yeah, I'm with you.
In the backfield,
Najee Harris does nothing for you today.
13 carries from 19 yards.
They cannot run the damn ball.
They cannot run it again.
I get some O-line issues there at the moment.
The Steelers, I think we're a little fraudulent 3-0.
Like, they play a really ugly brand of football.
And it's a lot of defense and smoke and mirrors here.
As teams start clicking as the season goes on,
because we're just kind of getting out of the preseason mode right now.
Like, I think the Steelers are going to come back to,
earth a little bit.
All right.
Well, I do think their running game is going to improve.
It improves every year.
Every freaking, this is three years in a row that, like, I look at the personnel, you know
what, they're going to get better office of line-wise, and then they show like no improvement
for like six weeks, and then the second half of the season, you're like, oh, look.
I mean, that's been the case the last two years.
So keep that in mind.
I still think Naji is a good by-low, because, by the way, the field is.
is throwing it every week to Najee.
Najee's back in the passing game.
Even with Warren there. Now maybe
Warren gets back to full strength, you know,
in a week or three, and
he's the third downback, but
Najee's kind of been back under
Arthur Smith in the passing game.
They had CPAT out there, Cordrell Patterson.
He had six years.
Then he gets banged up, and they
had something called
Aaron Shamplin. What is this
guy's name? Shampklin, yeah.
He had 18% of,
of the running back snaps in this one.
You know a champelin guy?
That's,
that is a hard name to say, man.
Shamp,
wait,
it's,
it's like Shamp as a K-A-M-P,
then a K,
then an L,
Champ Klin.
It's like,
you got to do the Jim Marr opt.
In the middle of that guy's name,
sham,
Shamp.
Jeez, bro.
I can't spell Cordorrell Patterson.
It took me forever to figure out,
because he's got the double R's and he's got the double L's in there.
So there's a lot going on and poor roll batters.
But I hope Aaron Shampklin never becomes a thing.
Shampklin.
It's like that bidet kid we'll talk about later with his name.
But all right, moving on to an ugly affair at MetLife where the Jets.
Oh, Nate Hackett Bowl here, fall to the Denver Broncos, 10 to 9.
Are you kidding me in this game?
Boy, oh, boy, there's a lot of meat left on the bone with these Jets players.
Let's start there.
They lose the game, but that's the real story here.
Brees Hall, four yards rushing, John.
Four yards rushing for Brees Hall today.
What the hell?
One other data point.
Again, if you read Hansen's Hents,
I wrote that our data shows clearly that Braille and Allen excels
better and gap runs and that Denver was defending zone runs really well and that kind of played out
i actually played braille and allen's over the rushing prop and i freaking lost it by half a yard um so
it was worrisome for sure uh i went four and one on my top five sunday props the only loss was
freaking hall and i thought it was a lock over like 23 or 24 yards
It gets 14, five targets.
I mean, come on.
You know, I mean, Wilson was, they put the clamps down.
My other one was Conklin, which barely, barely won.
I mean, it did win.
I mean, it was over two and a half.
He got four, but even that was slow going.
He did get eight targets, though.
So, but Lazard and Williams, like, eh, you know, like,
they're spreading it around.
It's not great.
So, yeah, Buzzkill City,
and they're probably going to lose with the Vikings next week.
Sutton made three good plays
and they were nice
but how about the oddity
of like the Broncos
no running game all year
can't do crap
their passing game
is completely shut down
you're like it's hopeless oh look Giovante's out there
bell cowing it up
4.8 yards of carry I mean are you kidding
me 16 carriers or 77
like he could get 1.4 yards of carry next week
at this point and McLaughlin too
They actually ran the damn ball.
Shocking.
And they had that Tyler Badee kid who we thought could start get a little bit more of a role.
He left with an injury in the first quarter.
It was really weird.
He was on the field and there was some play and he went down.
He goes to the sideline.
He collapsed on the sideline.
And they had to put him on a backboard and everything.
So, hey, you know, we hope he's doing okay.
I don't think I've ever seen a game like this, John.
Looking at the receiving numbers for the Broncos.
Listen, I know the Jets have a great defense.
they had one player catch more than
have more than three yards receiving
Cortland Sutton had three for 60 and a touchdown
nobody else had more than three yards receiving
that's insane
like what are we doing out here with this team
like I don't even know how you call plays for
nobody catches a ball more than three yards
I don't know what yeah tough matchup
but I mean
it's like pulling teeth watching
Bo Nix and watching
I mean I just
I don't want to say anything definitive on Bo Nix
but I wrote all summer that I'm like
whoa people are a little way too excited here
I've certainly
I'm even talking in the summer
like people were seemingly
anointing I'm like whoa whoa whoa I mean
let's let's slim it down now
like we're not there yet at all
and I mean
I've seen nothing to change my mind
that Bo Nix
is quite the suspect prospect at this point.
Like, who knows where he'll be in five years,
but if I had to bet the house, if I had to,
I would bet that he was, you know, backing up Josh Allen,
you know, like a backup.
Sure, that makes sense.
I might need an adult beverage for this next one, John.
The Eagles go down to their House of Horrors,
Raymond James Stadium, and get pounded by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
3316.
Now, I knew, and everyone who listens,
they know that I'm a fearless Eagles homer,
but I knew they were going to lose
because, listen, you didn't have Lane Johnson,
you didn't have A.J. Brown.
You didn't have Devonte Smith.
They don't have anything out there at receiver.
No playmakers.
Okay.
But, I mean, this was just,
Jalen Hertz,
just looks like he's regressed as a passer.
He has no pocket presence at all.
He'll make one man miss in the pocket,
and then they'll stand there for another two beats.
And he's like, okay, now I'm going to crank up like I'm going to throw it long.
Like, no, buddy, there's still defenders coming at you to strip you.
Like it happens every week.
Either way, I'll move on, John.
But Sequin Barkley.
But there's no one to throw to, though.
I mean, you're right.
But also there is no one to throw to, basically.
This is a great by low opportunity, folks, in the league.
Because the Eagles are going on by, they're two and two, go out.
and make a trade offer this week for Smith and for AJ Brown.
Because, you know, people are, ah, the Eagles are going on buy.
Nobody wants a player on buy.
Nobody wants a player who's hurt.
So now you can maybe get for pennies on the dollar, an elite receiver here,
and then they'll be passed their buy for the rest of the season.
So just word to the wise up there.
So Barclay goes 10 for 84.
Gertz doesn't really help you a whole lot.
He throws for 158 in the score.
But let's talk about the bucks, because they look.
and fantastic through.
And yeah.
Irving was our guy.
You know, we were talking them up.
They want to get them more involved.
He and Rashad White both with 10 carries, both for 49 yards.
Irving does get in the end zone.
So it's by some chance,
Bucky Irving's still in your waiver wear folks.
Like you need to like really put some fabbat on this kid because he looks pretty good
out there.
Absolutely.
Yeah, he really does.
And maybe he's loosening things up for Rashon.
challenging Rashad because that's pretty weird.
They both had the same exact line.
10 carries for 49.
Irving gets to Tutty, but White got three for 35.
So they were, I mean, he only got a couple of points more.
I actually picked up Cade Otten and because I had Trey McBride in the FPI and hey,
I mean, he was rotten on a couple of ones.
He had a couple of drops.
I mean, Cade Otten could have caught like seven balls for 75.
in this damn game.
And I did like him in this one.
I did incorrectly worry a little bit about Evans.
I thought it would be a huge Godwin game,
which it kind of was,
but it was a little underwhelmed.
Thank God he hit his prop.
But, man, Baker, not going to go off every single week,
but if the matchup's right and this is right,
then he'll, he's surgical back there.
Like, he's just out there.
22 points a week.
He's the number two quarterback in fantasy right now
as a time of all recording.
He was a world,
like as an eagle,
And he must have felt like we are getting our asses handed to us by Baker Mayfield.
The Eagles single-handedly got Baker Mayfield paid last year because they went down there
and Baker beat a team that quit and he got a contract for it.
It's similar to why Daniel Jones got a contract a few years ago because you're a mediocre
team.
You make the playoffs and they got to pay you.
But Evans looks great.
14 targets eight for 94 and a touch.
Godwin.
You know, he didn't score, but six for 69 at a PPR.
That's great.
And even at a Sterling Shepard's sighting because Jalen McMillan didn't play in this game.
Shocking.
Sterling Shepard, my guy.
I love Sterling Shepard.
You know, the Bucks look good.
Let me ask you this.
Would you roll or feel at all confident with a guy like Baker Mayfield as your starting quarterback in a 12-team fantasy league?
Yeah, at this point for sure.
And I have had them in my top 12, you know, last couple of weeks at least.
I believe this week.
Yeah, I had his ass at seven this week.
I had him over Lamar and Stroud and Prescott and all that.
So I was in.
But yeah, because there's a lot to be said for the reliability of a good offense
and a good receiving core and a good player to take advantage.
You know, he'll pretty much get two full.
You know
A couple of times
1.1.8 touchdowns a game, you know,
runs a little bit.
And he added it all up.
Right.
You compile it all up.
You're like, oh, wow, look at him.
He's the QB7.
You know, I think he was a top 12 guy last year.
If you're...
By the way, I'm not...
I didn't love him this summer as a great pick, honestly.
This is a new summer, a new scheme and all that.
And he's back.
I mean, he's, now,
this is two systems that he's excelled in.
So he's fully back.
If you're a team listening to this and you're 0 and 4 with some bad luck or maybe
you're 1 in 3, something like that, and you've got a high-end quarterback.
Maybe you've got Josh Allen somehow when your team stinks.
Guru, would you be against trade that stud quarterback away and just roll with like a baker.
Go with like a baker or Dalton and you just got to make ends meet.
You've got to start making some deals.
Exactly.
you know that was used to be one of my old pieces of advice i remember one time not to name drop
although i'm known for name dropping i had duff mccagan well gn r from guns and roses yeah who i
subsequently have come i know them now like i don't say we're friends but uh maybe yeah
i guess we kind of are uh what the greatest guys of all time one of the only men that i actually
told him straight face to his face i was like
like, I have a man crush on you, sir.
I got to tell you, not afraid to admit it.
But he was on the show and he was like getting killed in fantasy.
And, you know, told me his team.
He was like, what's your advice?
I'm like, let's trade your best player.
And it turned out with Steve Smith back when he was still like a stud.
And then, you know, well, Duff, take it easy.
Good luck with the book.
you know, whatever the hell he was promoting.
Didn't talk to him again for like eight years.
Then I see him at Jerry Cantrell's house, another name drop.
And he's like, you know, I was like, remember that time you came on my radio show?
He goes, oh, yeah, I remember that.
He goes, in fact, I reeled off seven straight wins after that trade.
And he like made the, like, saved the season, basically.
Dude, I'm in that.
So he was all in on, he was all in on Team Gorific after that, by the way.
We'll get them on the pod.
Let's get them out here hanging out.
I might have to do that in my big home league.
My team is some bad luck.
I just lost Rishi Rice.
But, John, I do happen to have on my team the number one quarterback in fantasy,
one Mr. Jaden Daniels.
So I might be sniffing around the old trade cooler this week,
seeing what I could get for Jaden Daniels.
And he and the commanders, they're three and one now with a 42 to 14 beatdown of the Arizona Cardinals.
And it's just every week, it's something new with this kid.
26 of 30.
He threw four games has the highest completion percentage of any quarterback in their first four games in NFL history.
233. He threw for a touchdown and he also ran for 47 yards in a touchdown.
I don't know what else to say about this kid.
He's really good.
He's what fantasy quarterbacks are supposed to be.
He is tremendous because he, you're right, because he, he, he,
The fact that he is a great deep ball thrower, right?
And also crushes zone coverage.
It's like, wow.
You know, like he's kind of got it all.
Like he processes, you know, he mechanically is very sound, plays with a poise,
like doesn't get running around too fast, you know, seems to be calm.
Like he's, he's it.
Now, again, still worried about the beating and all that.
Also worried about fall off a cliff Kingsbury.
You know, this offense probably will level off.
It's not going to be this easy, but it's an incredible start.
And again, I was a little skeptical.
I've been talking about selling high on them, honestly.
But again, if you read all my stuff in the summer, like I liked them a lot as a prospect.
Now, my only problem was like, I just hope he can hold up in one piece.
honestly. Hey, so far so good, but he has taken a lot of shots. He really has.
You know what we learned in this game, Guru, and this is good for folks on the waiver wire,
monitor Austin Eckler's situation because this game showed us that this is a two running
back field, and they will get the ball to the second running back. Now, Brian Robinson had a
great day. He went over 100 yards and scored, but Jeremy McNichols, we joked about him last week,
like, oh, you got to get Jeremy McNichols involved. I know.
68 yards. He scored two rushing touchdowns today, and he had 36% of the snaps back there.
So whether it's Echler or whether it's McNichols, I think that's a trend here.
Washington, they're running enough plays, and they're in the red zone seemingly every damn time they have the ball.
They can support two running backs.
You know, there are a number of situations over the last couple of years where you're looking at an offensive line and you're like, they stink.
like how in the world
are they going to be able to run the ball or whatever
and this by the way was one of them
and here we are
I mean they're crushing it on the ground
like it's I don't even know if this game
that I'm looking at is even in their
their outcome yet
but going into this game they were averaging
4.8 yards of carry rushing the football
I mean they couldn't run crap last year
with Brian Robinson who
was on my list this year
as he was last year again not
not someone I'm always pumping up,
but when I'm looking for a boring RB3 in round eight,
the last two summers,
you'd be damn sure I've been talking about Brian Robinson.
He's good.
I mean, he is.
He really is.
And didn't think it would be a big Ertz game.
Didn't think McLaurin would go off.
And he really kind of didn't.
But hey,
scored and he was busy as hell again.
So he crushed too.
So you're feeling good there.
And I feel good too because I've warmed up to him big time and overranked him.
I was like,
oh, crap.
but hey now half the games he's crushed kind of so i guess we're all right with mcclaren not a whole
lot going on for the cardinals james connor does go over 100 yards get you a touchdown he's just as
steady as it goes the guy only played three quarters today kiler murray corner down day for him
buck 42 passing and a touchdown there they're all down they're mostly down for for kylel
let's i'm getting i'm sick of this i mean i really am i can't take it anymore with what i just
can't do it man he it just i i know that the commanders possess the ball i guess but man it's just
isn't it just annoying now to watch i think it's just terrible football watching kailer murray
sucks wishes he like a dream scenario for kailer murray is to be what jaden daniels is
you know yeah i mean if he rolls out and you know marvin harrison streaking oh it may i mean
know a couple of way okay great you know but if that doesn't happen they got nothing then it's just
it's scratching your cornea it's it's i'm turning it off i'm going to walk the dog i mean it's
seriously this what are they doing like do they have a plan like they just it's stagnant like i i just
don't see really i mean Marvin harrison is a freaking gazelle i could probably design some plays
to get them open like what are they doing otherwise i know mcbride was out but even he's been a little
underwhelming before the injury so i don't know good luck with kail le murray luckily i i wasn't in on
kailer murray because he's just a pain in the ass and then by the end of the year probably get
hurt so i don't know am i overreacting here it's just we've seen it every year they're playing the
commanders they're the worst secondarian past defense in the league in arizona and come on
hammered they didn't do shit well speaking of getting hammered uh
The 49ers, 30 to 13, they beat up on the Patriots.
And listen, the Patriots just don't want to put Drake May out there yet behind this offensive line.
They're missing people left and right.
His time will come, but Bressett's not it.
You know, I pray no one in America is starting Brescett.
Stevenson, you know, he's putting the ball on the ground.
And now they're name.
Oh, no, Jesus, man.
You know, it's just we don't have to talk about the pages.
You're not starting a damn ball around.
Remember Hunter Henry, remember week two?
It's like a lifetime ago.
Two for 12 today.
Yeah.
Kishon Bouté, don't call me booty.
Or Bouti, don't call me Boutte.
I mean, I had to start Douglas this week.
I mean, I'm cursed with this kid.
Like, every time I start him, he gets me three for 12.
And then if I don't, in a 14th team Skank League,
you get seven for 69.
Polk is out there flashing, but, man,
shout out to those who, for some reason,
thought he was worth it.
draft pick this summer because he wasn't.
Hulk's a kid. Once Mays
gets in there, when Mays starts playing,
that Hulk will be free and you can
add him the back of your roster.
He might be his guy. But that's a guy like, yeah,
okay, I'll write him down, keep him in the back
of my mom. I'm sure as hell not drafting him.
I'm not going to use a damn draft pick on this guy.
Pick him up off in the trash
can around week nine.
For the 49ers, we got
Debo back. We got Kittle back and then
Kittle left with an injury after a really
acrobatic touchdown. Kittle
just shows what he is. When they throw him the football,
he's really good, but he's essentially
a glorified left tackle out there half the time.
Like I said, four for 45
for Kittle. Debo in his return
ran the ball a couple of times,
only caught three for 58.
They didn't need a whole lot to go on here.
It was a lot of Jordan Mason,
24 for 123
and a score guru. The defense
also got into the act. Fred Warner
with an interception return. If you're starting that
Niners D, but I tweeted it out. I tweeted
it out. Jordan Mason is the reason
if there is an elite handcuff
to your stud running back. You have
to get them. I don't care
if you draft them two rounds early. You have
to have Mason if you draft the CMC.
And
was there anyone leading the charge on
anti-C this year?
More than me? Maybe there was.
I don't know. I don't think so.
But, okay, and like a
ding-down, you think that
you would have thought that I would have Jordan Mason
all up? Nope, not a damn
league that I draft Jordan
Frickin Mason
just because I'm not
or pick him up just because I'm not paying attention
enough
yeah this went down like I feared
basically I wrote that
Jennings should do well
I liked his prop he did
almost scored
it wasn't great though but hey
he got double digit
Debo you'll take it
you just missed a couple of big plays
he was on Gonzalez a lot
better well I'll
say to trade for him
again next week, by the way, so get ready for that.
And yeah, that's it.
McCaffrey, maybe he plays in November now,
and maybe you won't be two and nine by the time he makes his 2024 debut.
Oh, we'll see.
Let's keep it rolling here, Fantasy Points Podcast Monday review session here.
The Chiefs, they go to 4-0.
This was a hard-fought win.
Again, a game that this happens at a Chargers seemingly eight times a year.
but they just, they snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, to kind of turn a phrase.
1710 Chiefs win.
The story of this game, Rishi Rice, feared at the time of our recording that he has an ACL injury.
So that sucks because I have him on a ton of teams.
So what does that mean, John?
We're going to see a lot more Travis Kelsey.
And we saw it today.
Nine targets, seven.
Yeah, baby.
He's back, baby.
He's back.
Shaking it off.
I thought I liked him.
today yep there it is it's not as hopeless as it seems for Kelsey blah blah blah
no Dermann James even though he's not producing versus zone I got to try him here
yeah yeah I mean he does kill this Charger Day he really does I mean there's
something about it but now you're right it they're going to have to feature them
here Xavier worthy I was kind of mocking people and granted my dude just ran in a
line but that's it that's all he did uh buddy out ran him and holmes got him the ball so they need to do
more of that because they stink uh on offense really they're not very good and uh if anyone is hoping
that matt nagy is going to improve him no because he's part of the problem he stinks uh so before that
xavier worthy score honestly i was thinking man this is looking bad 10 nothing thank god worthy yeah i mean
This was looking bad.
No, no Joey Bosa, still shutting them down.
No, no Derwin James.
Nah, it doesn't matter.
New scheme.
Eh, what's shutting your ass down?
If they were playing a real team that had some players out there,
Chiefs were lost by 15 points today.
But you got freaking Kareem Hunt coming in there, carrying the load.
And then Piron scores.
Wee.
I mean, like I said, this is an absolute disaster.
I mean, I guess Hunt, you want Hunt?
I guess for now.
43% of the running back snaps goes to Kareem Hunt.
P. Ryan gets 41%.
He did play 13 to 16 on third down.
And he got that one carry inside the 10.
Carson Steele, you spent all that fab on him.
I don't know.
And you're going to get CEH returning to practice this week too.
So another guy in the mix.
Oh, it's Skymore time, baby.
Would they finally, these dummies?
You use a second round pick on Skymore.
can you please for the love of all things wholly use him where he actually has a chance to produce
because yeah sky more has done nothing and he's to blame i believe he's lost his confidence
one of the reasons i believe he's lost his confidence is because they refuse to play him in
the position where he needs to play sky more literally himself
told me that before he was even
freaking drafted that he
should probably start out in the
slop but they refused to play him there
and again last year's season
where I got incorrect
guess whose numbers were exactly what I had for
Sky Moore, Rishi Rice. Yeah
because I thought Rice maybe wouldn't
and I liked him too I just thought you know
rookies probably need a little minute you know
maybe it'll be Sky Moore
no it wasn't but anyway we'll see
about that but
But that worthy play was big to me, man, because I was thinking like, oh, boy, this is, this is looking bad here in Casey.
And that's, it remains to be seen how this team, because now they look like last year's team.
You know, we're still without, they don't have Hollywood Brown.
Now you add worthy in the mix, but he's kind of a one-trick pony at this point.
It's Kelsey.
I mean, they're suspect.
Yeah.
They got to make a trade for Devante Adams at some point here.
Yeah.
a minute. All right, for the Chargers. I mean, listen,
noble effort by Justin Herbert. He's playing on one leg out there.
But, you know, he's throwing some yards around the field.
McConkey scores. Remember everybody who's up on Quentin Johnson?
Oh, he's a good lad.
What's that?
Remember Quentin Johnston after like a week or something?
I was like, oh, might be the breakout for Quentin Johnston.
He goes, one for nine. So good for him.
That was another call that I, you know, I don't know the site otherwise, but I know.
I was on that.
I like Ladd based on the matchup.
He was going to probably avoid McDuffie.
And I said, you know, they may travel McDuffie,
which I think they did on Quentin Johnston,
who is now kind of a marked man.
So, you know, FYI there.
But that's to his credit, though,
because he hasn't proved.
I mean, even on that nine-yard catch,
that was a good catch.
It was a good route.
Boy, McConkey looked good, man.
Yeah.
He runs well.
There are no speed problems there.
He's running away from NFL
Ladd-McConkie, as predicted, is good.
He really is.
And I think that was a guy I had to trade for.
Yeah, last year, week, I had him as a trade-for.
He's good, man.
I don't know if he's going to go off.
Obviously, he's a low-octane offense,
but it's nice to see our thoughts and beliefs come to fruition.
Ladd-McConkey is good at NFL football.
It's confirmed.
Nothing much happening on the running.
game here just because they couldn't run the ball the charges ran for 50 what 55 yards today so
it kind of down day for jk dappins but he'll have better days once his team can get healthy yeah
geez louise he got he got 3 30 i mean hey he still got nine points that's that's and and i
hated him today too i think everyone did um i guess i don't not that i look at other people i guess
but it seems like everyone was on that but yeah they'll they'll be better days and he is still
their primary passing guy.
We did have a Josh Palmer
siding today. I mean, he wasn't great,
but he was a little bit more involved.
Final game of the day that we're going to cover
was the Raiders getting
a victory over the Browns.
The wheels are just falling off in Cleveland.
They dropped to one and three
on the season. For the Raiders,
Gardner Minchu, 14 to
24 for a buck 30. He doesn't throw any
touchdowns. He was without Devante Adams,
who I tweeted out, I go,
Devante Adams just played his last game in a Raiders
uniform. You know, after the game, remember Pierce
was like, people are making business decisions
and now we're going to make decisions.
And all of a sudden, this mysterious hamstring
injury pops up for him.
Shefti's tweeting about
trades and all this stuff this morning on
Sunday. So, yeah, yeah.
We'll see what happens there. What's happening?
Yeah, someone's going to pick up.
He's owed 44 million next year
in Cap hit for the Raiders. He ain't
going to be on the team. No chance.
Woody Johnson's dumb enough to
pay that and take a shot.
or pay whatever basically you know they did run the ball well but i mean still samir white still
dead i mean geez he had he had a 18 opportunities freaking madison ripping off long runs we
we did call the brock bowers game that's another good good call and he's got a bunch of bad
schematic matchups upcoming not that i'm selling high on him but he he is in fact a human
being he's not a superhero great time to buy low here brock bowers goes two for 19 on the day
for the brownies.
By the way, crap,
craptas,
oh yeah,
sorry to cut you off there.
Craptastic game for Cooper.
He failed to haul in a bomb.
I mean,
he pouted,
you know,
so I thought Watson played pretty well.
I saw some signs of the old Watson,
honestly.
I mean,
I know he throw a pick.
24, 32.
Judy looked pretty good,
you know,
Ford out there,
but they're still a mess.
And Cooper,
I guess,
if you don't feed him the ball right away,
he'll start whining and pouting.
Mm-hmm.
You know, a good day in a PPR.
If you're starting Jerome Ford,
he caught seven for 27.
He got you 10 for 58 on the ground,
foreman.
You know, he's not doing a whole lot out there,
getting only two carries.
No, no.
But he is getting the work inside the five.
He had three of the four snaps
inside the five-yard line.
So something to watch.
Yeah.
You know, down the road.
You know, these Browns, I mean,
they've converted three-third downs on the day.
They're paying Watson all this.
money at some point i mean jameses winston's got to be warming up on the sidelines at some point right i mean
how long can you keep this charade up in cleveland i i don't know if jamis how much better he would
have been than watson i mean i certainly didn't watch all the game uh they were down both starting
tackles then again the raiders were down max crosbie as well uh and then they're not great either i
I thought it was all right.
So I think we are probably not there yet
because of that huge massive obviously commitment.
Like if you bench him,
I don't know if you go back.
So you better be totally sure.
I don't think they should be totally sure
after this one, honestly.
And we'll see where Nick Chubb is like if he has any chance.
But man, in the meantime, I mean, it doesn't do it every week,
but Jerome four, man, you'll take it.
You'll take it.
The PPR love.
15 plus touches seemingly like locked into that most weeks.
Yeah, and it's this kid, Trey Tucker out here, you know, for the Raiders.
I just want to go back to them for a second.
He gets five for 41.
Also, you know, scores a rushing play on a little end around kind of deal here.
He's somebody.
I know a lot of DFS bros were talking up because he's dirt cheap.
And also, somebody's got to catch the ball here.
It's Myers.
It's Brock Bowers.
Yeah.
Trey Tucker is kind of the next man up here.
So maybe in a super deep league, somebody you're looking to scoop off the waiver wire.
Gee, you can get Jacoby Myers at this point.
He's only owned in like 50% of leagues.
I mean, Trey Tucker has had a very good summer.
He's like the shot play guy.
He had the rushing touchdown.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, again, when Brock Bowers has these tougher matchups, you know,
against man-heavy teams, that's Trey Tucker time, potentially.
there it is well we're going to go finish watching the sunday night affair i'm going to go drown my
sorrows in a in a cold ipa after losing rishi rice and the eagles letting me down here john but it's a new
