Fantasy Football Daily on the Fantasy Points Podcast Network, Theo Greminger,
joined today by the guru John Hansen.
We're going to talk about 10 burning questions fantasy managers need to know for week 11 and the rest of the 2025 season,
some of which can help you win your fantasy league.
Got to talk about it, John, the November surprise,
a player that we didn't think we were going to be talking about.
If I told you a week ago, we're going to be talking about Joe Burrow every single day of the week,
this week, you would say you're crazy.
But Joe Burrow, whose season was supposed to be over,
has now been allowed to come back in practice.
The Cincinnati Bengals have circled Thanksgiving
as a day that we think we could see Joe Burrow
returning from injury.
That would be very, very cool.
It would be Joe Burrow versus Lamar Jackson
on Thanksgiving night.
Wow.
But what effect do you think Joe Burrow will have?
Joe Flacco has been crushing it this year.
Is this a Burrow steps right back in
and gives you like top five QB production?
How enthusiastic are you about adding him
right now, and could he be the savior for fantasy teams in the fantasy playoffs?
I'm going to be a little bit of a buzzkill here.
I'm not really seeing it because of, you know, their record, number one.
Now, they have a buy.
Well, they had their buy, and they only have two more games, as you mentioned, until week 13.
So I do believe they'll lose those two games.
So now you're three and eight.
And at that point, there might be some sort of decision.
or maybe you go week to week with it.
And what if he comes out in that Thanksgiving Day game
against a Raven defense that's at full strength now?
Granted, they're not great, but they're at full strength.
Joe Burr, look, he's been Mr. Slow starter, right?
So I don't want to believe that he's going to pop in here in week 13 and ball out.
So then you got Buffalo the next week.
Their defense, not the greatest defense, in terms of, you know,
throwing the ball against them that they should run the ball the schedule looks pretty nasty here so
between the schedule the fact that they're going to be piling up losses and the fact that he might
need two three weeks before he's back in the flow of things i'm i'm going to say that you know i'm not
really expecting all that much from joe borrower now look that that said in my waiver wire report he's
up on my list because do i want joe borrower on my team just in case yes i do but by the way i would
be careful not to go crazy and go overboard and, like, you know, blow out my fad for him.
It's an interesting one on the waiver wire. I think based on the talent of the player and the
chance that you might get him in your lineup, he's probably the number one waiver wire ad
in most leagues unless it's a very shallow format. And also, like you said, I would rather,
I'd rather have him on my team than have to go up against him in the fantasy playoffs. I'd say
devil's advocate to your take is Burrow signed the big contract. Burrow, you know,
basically was the kingmaker in terms of getting T. Higgins back this year.
They sacrificed a lot to invest in this passing game.
And if Burroughs seems to have a huge poll organizationally,
if he wants back in, I think he's back in.
And when you look at the state of the division,
mathematically there's still a possibility.
And when you just look at the state of the team,
they have nothing on defense.
Joe Flacco has finished as a top 15 quarterback in all four games.
And then last time we saw Joe Flacco in week nine, he was the QB2 on the week with 32 fantasy points.
So I think you're probably right to be a little less optimistic than I am, but I'll remain a little optimistic on this one.
Joe Burrow down the stretch, Joe Burrow and the fantasy playoffs, never a dull moment in this thing of ours, John.
It's a lot of fun to talk about for sure.
I will say that I am generally a little underwhelmed by Joe Burrow.
When he came out, and I know it sounds like I'm bragging, but I watch.
a lot of LSU first I just happened to watch a lot of LSU the year before and when he came
out and when he won the when he won the Natty I tweeted that Joe Burroughs the next time Brady
like I thought he was a more athletic Tom Brady I got a real old soul Brady vibe and all that and
you know he's been great but the injury stuff the slow starts and most importantly
his unwillingness to play under center is a real problem I'm sorry it's just it just is I
I think it limits their offense, and I don't know why he's so hell-bent on not doing it,
but I think it's limiting, and that's a little problem I have with him.
Yeah, I hear you.
He certainly exposes himself to bad things happening in him on a football field.
We saw the season-ending injury in 2023.
This year, though, back from injury.
So we'll see about the Joe Burrow narrative at the end of the season.
Let's talk about another team that maybe a few weeks ago we didn't think we'd be as enthusiastic about.
but Chris Greer gets fired.
So the general manager gets fired from Miami.
Mike McDaniel, who many speculated, would possibly be the first coach fired midseason.
Brian Dable let go this week.
He gets that distinction.
Mike McDaniel has at least bought himself several weeks because the Miami Dolphins played
inspired football.
They beat the Buffalo Bills.
McDaniel is just unbelievable with this one.
He beats the bills, then gets in his car.
and drives up to the bar in South Beach
that all the Bill's fans congregate at
just to sort of troll these guys,
really enjoying the victory.
Oh, my God.
It was the coolest thing ever.
If you haven't seen it,
I posted it on X.
A lot of people thought it was AI.
So then somebody posts the video.
Mike McDaniel, a very swaggy moment.
So Mike McDaniel has the enthusiasm.
The team is playing for him,
and the team is starting to play very well.
True or false,
Devon A. Chan,
and Jalen Waddle can be league winners this year.
And then one more bonus question for you.
Devon A. Chan is a 2026 first round pick in redraft leagues.
Yeah, I think it's true.
And I think he is.
I had him on my list all offseason.
Unfortunately, I kind of bailed from A. Chan.
Not that I bumped them off my rankings or down the rankings,
maybe a slot or two.
But I didn't want the stink of what I was seeing with the Dolphins to be on my target list.
because I take good care of that
because I want to look back at the year
and be happy that I recommend a good players.
Well, I do regret it.
Now, I did replace him with Josh Jacobs,
which she's hanging in there,
but, you know, A. Chan impressed me in 2024
by collecting a lot of volume
and staying relatively healthy,
and he's doing it again.
And they have been wisely evolving
into being run heavy, basically.
uh that's been something they've done pretty well and when they do throw obviously jalen wattle
always we all knew he was good uh he's been a true number one like go-to guy that lost waller um so yeah
i think two was playing relatively well generally speaking i think you know grading on a curve it's not
bad so absolutely and by the way um i think mike mcdaniel personality wise is probably not ideal for an
NFL locker room and all that he's just he's a he's a different cat for sure um but i i do think
he needs some credit here that somehow they've rallied the troops maybe it's a team thing i know
they're they're kind of rallying uh around uh the sumoan dude and doing like the samoan dance
oh the hawka the hawka yeah anything works man whatever works works but uh i had a very
fascinating um encounter with mike mcdannell before he coached but he was named the starter uh if you recall
He was out there pumping up Jel and Waddle before they made the, the Tyreek trade.
And so I just saw him, and I was like, yo, coach, can you simmer down with the Waddle talk over here?
You're going to, you know, put me out of a job.
And he was just kind of fascinated by that.
And I had like a very hysterical interaction with him.
And I'm just like, he's like, hi, I'm Mike McDaniel.
I'm like, yeah, I know.
You're the coach of the Dolphins.
You know, we're at the combine over here.
So it's just a very interesting guy.
And I was really rooting for him, but it's probably not going to work.
But I do think if I'm him, I'm looking to be the office coordinator, genius guy for the next 20 years.
I think that's absolutely a great role for Mike McDaniel.
Yeah, I agree with you.
I think he might be best suited for that.
But I do think that if they pull off a couple more wins like this, this might be one where the team just says, you know what?
We'll roll with him for another season.
So you buy yourself a lot of goodwill in Miami when you beat the.
the Buffalo Bills. I think that win bought him at least maybe the rest of the season. And I agree
with you. Like, Devon A-chan is just so locked in right now. And I think if it wasn't for Taylor
and McCaffrey, A-chan would be a bigger story. We were on him. Like, I know Scott and I, we were
constantly talking about Devon A-chan, but it seemed like round two. A lot of the mistakes were made
in redraft leagues where there was a group of wide receivers where you felt like you wanted some
access to guys like Nico Collins, Ladd McConkey, and then certainly A.J. Brown for a lot of
fantasy managers where A.Cham was just sitting right there. And there's a chance you could have
had a Christian McCaffrey, A. Chan teams. Those teams are out there right now. So he's just such a good
pass catcher. 20% target share now, five out of six weeks. But Waddle, how crazy is that one, John,
that we could have had, it's just the stubbornness of NFL teams where the Buffalo Bills offer their
27 first for Jalen Waddle.
The Dolphins say, give me the 2026 first.
You could have had Josh Allen getting Jalen Waddle for the rest of the season.
And because of the contract he signed,
you would have had the number one wide receiver for Josh Allen heading into the 2026 season.
But they didn't want to give up this year's first.
They wanted to only give up next year's.
It seems like such a short-sighted decision by Buffalo.
Because they've got issues here.
Like their run defense has been terrible.
and they don't have an identity in the passing attack at all.
James Cook is their identity.
They go as James Cook goes.
As we saw last week, James Cook didn't go very far, and they lost.
So I thought Josh Palmer might help out a little bit,
but he's been in and out of the lineup, per usual.
Now you have Kincaid Hurd, Keon Coleman stinks,
and Khalil Shakir can only do so much.
So they kind of dropped the ball at wide receiver.
should have drafted one or two, you know, guys late, you know, who can win against man coverage.
I don't think Eli Moore, Elijah Moore is going to help out.
So this is, they're kind of stuck with what they have.
So maybe, maybe Josh Allen has to put on that Superman cape again.
Yeah, I mean, this, and that this offense could be even more limited.
Dalton Kincaid looks like he's going to miss this week.
It's just a, it seems like such a short-sighted thinking when you have this level of quarterback.
You lose Stefan Diggs.
you also lose Gabe Davis a few years ago
and you've sort of tried to moneyball it together
instead of making a huge investment
at the position. And also
the Keon-Colman pick ahead of Ladd-McConkie.
You could have had Ladd-McConkie catching passes
from Josh Allen. That would have looked
incredible too. Oh, I didn't even
realize that. Yeah, they took him a couple
picks before right there, yeah.
Oh, if you only had a slot receiver
who could win against man coverage. Oops.
Oh, man. That's brutal.
I'm sure Lad's happy, though, by the way. I'm sure
a lad's happy playing in Southern California.
Oh, absolutely, absolutely, for sure.
Well, we're going to take a quick break and we come back.
We're going to talk about a record-setting quarterback,
and we're going to ask John whether we think he sets a new personal best this season

All right. Welcome back. Fantasy Football Daily. John, everybody follows you. Everybody knows you.
But let everybody know sort of like what a week in the life looks like your content. Like what's the cadence for the content like coming out?
what's a day what's a day look like what kind of podcast do you have coming out uh you're everywhere
in the fantasy space yeah i mean i i it's funny i i seem to be working as much as usual uh and i'm
not producing like i used to but that that's i think just old age and also looking a lot more
in depth into everything as compared to you know a couple of years ago so you know mondays i'll i'll do
I work on, you know, waiver wire stuff.
I do a pretty significant article on top of our article.
Doing the prop points show, starting to look at the props.
Tuesday, Players to Trade and Trade for article is it drops at fantasy points.com,
which I'm working on as we record this.
Pop that out.
Wednesdays, I have my own little set of rankings.
I do the hump day with Hansen on the YouTube page for an hour and a half.
Q&A.
Talk about players to trade and trade for.
then I record with Graham and Brett matchup points go back into updating my rankings and then the rest of the week is preparing for all the matchups Hansen's hints and you know from there from that research I pull out a lot of props but I will say I'm very you know happy that the Hansen Sins article is it takes me freaking 37 hours I'll be honest with you but it's been pretty damn accurate this year the last couple of weeks have been really good so it's all
It's all I can ask for.
You know, it's a nice feeling.
Yeah, I'm willing to put it into work.
But as long as I get their damn results, which has been happening lately, thank God.
Yeah.

Playoffs right around the corner, John, and we've got to talk about a quarterback who is
playing at an unbelievable level.
Matthew Stafford and the Rams passing game is absolutely frying people.
stafford right now has 25 touchdown passes only two interceptions he's incredibly accurate and efficient this year he's not at the top passing yardage wise he's about fourth right now in passing yardage but it's the touchdown efficiency it's unbelievable stafford his previous high as a pro is 41 touchdown passes right he's done it twice does he break his personal recognition
record this season.
I'm going to go no.
And it's a little
conflicting. By the way, that year
with L.A., I remember
doing the radio show with Mr. Kaplan.
We were all over that.
We both predicted 40 touchdowns
for Stafford. He did get that.
I do think one of the reasons
why we're so enamored right now,
he deserves all the credit of the world.
Whatever he, whatever's in that
hyperbaric chamber or whatever
to hell he went into,
that give me that okay because this guy Aaron Rogers looks like an old man out there
hell D.K. Metcalfe looks like he's 47 out there this year and yet Stafford it looks very
youthful but also he is a professional quarterback he came out of Georgia running a pro
style offense ready to rock and roll he was better in his first game in the NFL than Caleb
Williams is now you know what I mean so I also think it's
There's partly a function of most of these quarterbacks stink in the NFL.
But again, full credit to Stafford.
However, I do think, and by the way, the 12 and the 13 personnel stuff is, is more, more genius stuff from McVeigh.
It's, it really has been indefensible.
And they've got like 17 good tight ends.
You know what I mean?
Like Ferguson, the rookie, he flashes.
Parkinson's pretty good.
Higby's still pretty decent.
You know what I mean?
They also have the other guy.
Davis Allen yeah Davis Allen the name always crosses me up he's got a last name for a first
name he's all fancy but um and and it's perfect too by the way because like I don't know
Sean McVeigh kind of invented 11 person I'm not invented but he really brought it to the forefront
and now it's like he's doing the opposite and he might be right by the way that all said
I don't think the schedule looks great so I just think there'll be some regression here
against, ironically, Seattle, which is kind of a mirror image of them.
Seattle, Tampa, Arizona, Carolina, I think he kind of calms down a little bit
against these defenses.
Then maybe Detroit gives him some problems.
You know, they do have a good pass rush.
And then he's got Seattle again.
And then Atlanta.
So this does look like a tricky schedule against, you know, a lot of zone defenses.
Not that he can't work through the zone, but some stingier defenses.
If you look at the numbers, none of those defenses,
are giving up over 20 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.
Yeah, that's a great, great point about the schedule.
I love your take on Seattle.
We're seeing Clint Kubiak with a lot of the McVeigh principles.
I think we'll see Kubiak as a head coach,
maybe next season, doing a lot.
That Seattle, L.A. game is going to be awesome.
I don't know.
I think for this one, I think it's going to come right down to the wire.
It kind of will matter.
And you've done this for a while, John.
When a lot of these records, when a team is committed to get,
getting a player there and a player is committed to getting it.
McVeigh and Stafford will keep that in mind.
If they don't care about it, he's not going to care about it.
Stafford might be like, you know, I really could care less at this point.
It depends on sort of the moment for him, just how aggressive.
But they're rolling people.
They are.
I'll say that that Tampa game could tilt over.
It all depends on sort of the opposing passing games.
But Seattle's got an offense.
Tampa's got an offense.
They look like games that are going to be 2420.
but at the end of the day, they could tilt over
and they could shoot out.
So I'll say that it comes right down to the wire.
You're right.
You're probably going to be right.
But not for nothing.
And again, I'm not taking anything away.
But we are doing this against Jacksonville, New Orleans,
and the Niners, who I wrote in Hanson's Hints last week,
that Stafford is going to be able to read several novels while in the pocket waiting for guys
to get open.
So, I mean, that is part of it.
These have been kind of soft.
to then they didn't do all that well against Baltimore in week six,
and they were still pretty suspect defensively at that point.
So I think things are going to tighten up a little bit,
but it will be close.
We've seen a bunch of weeks where handcuffed running backs have helped fantasy managers win.
You know, a lot of these guys are short-term utility plays.
Certainly anybody who used Kenneth Gainwell, the one week he had the backfield all to himself.
There was the random Michael Carter week.
We've seen several weeks of Kamani Vidal.
We see it every single year, but over the second half of the year, a lot of times we'll see fill in players step up, whether it's one week, whether it's four weeks.
You see it every year.
Who's a handcuff running back that you would love to have on all of your fantasy teams right now?
Yeah, I mean, obviously it depends on who I have, right?
I mean, if you're just talking general ones, I'll give you a sneaky one.
Brian Robinson.
Love that one.
I mean, he looked damn good.
this past week i mean blake quorum is is got to be number one um let's see here it's there's not
i mean ray davis i think is interesting that that would be one um i believe it or not this is going
to sound weird but i just have this feeling if it ever happens and bruce hall's out that
isaiah davis is just going to compile he's just going to compile he's just going to get like 23
touches um and like seven catches he'd have so many catches a little dump off so yeah oh yeah oh yeah
um but yeah i i think i think that's about it i mean because the other ones are like it's a little
diluted like you know taj spears i don't even know if he's a handcuff at this point you know
singletary i don't even think he's a handcuff so yeah that's what i have um quorum is probably number
one yeah i think quorum because of the mcate vay offense and the fact that he's also like
if you're in a complete bind, you can throw him in there and get 10 points with the volume he's
getting. For me, I think that there's one player sort of sitting there in a lot of leagues that I
think could make an impact. And this would probably take the Ravens sitting Derek Henry for a game
or two. Maybe they clinch the division. But Keaton Mitchell, we saw Harbaugh this week,
mentioned that they want to get more touches for Keaton Mitchell. I think that a lot of people
in your leagues are going to think Justice Hill will be the next man in because he's
he was the next man in for most of the season.
But it feels like Keaton Mitchell, he's averaging six yards per carry.
He's got that devastating speed.
If Derek Henry were to miss a single game, if Derek Henry would miss a handful of games,
I think Keaton Mitchell would be the short-term fill-in.
I don't think he's a player like you talked about quorum.
Certainly people can point at guys like Tyler Algier.
If the starter, Brian Robinson, a perfect example, those guys could be an NFL starter for 17 games.
Keaton Mitchell couldn't do it.
He's too small.
but two, three games, John, he could be electric next to Lamar Jackson.
No doubt.
I will offer this, though.
I do think that Derek Henry goes on a run here.
And I've been saying this for like six weeks.
And, you know, he's had a couple of good games.
I mean, it started with the Rams game.
No one expected them, including me, to get the volume he got in that game.
He's underwhelmed against Chicago and Minnesota.
But, you know, I've gotten a couple props wrong on them.
And it's like, I think they're going to be in control and win the game going away.
and I think I'll get 20 carries and it happens
and he misses the prop by
two yards, which has been the case
the last couple of weeks. However,
the schedule just looks very
conducive for massive volume.
Cleveland and the Jets.
Enough said. Then he got the Bengals
twice in three weeks.
Like he'll run for 300
against those defenses if he gets
40 carries. Pittsburgh,
that could be a problem, but I'm not that worried about it.
New England's going to be a problem in week 16.
But at least for,
the next five weeks.
I think he's going to crush
Derek Henry these next five weeks.
Yeah, he absolutely should, and he's chasing
records. He's got the touchdown record
chance to move up to four all time
if he goes on an absolute tear
here. The volume certainly supports
it. John, we would absolutely love to see
Derek Henry drop like a 35 point
performance on Thanksgiving night.
Really looking forward to that game.
Could be the return of Joe Burrow, and it could be
Derek Henry absolutely smashing
the Cincinnati Bengals. A rookie
wide receiver we got to talk about. Luther Burden this past week. We saw both Chicago
rookies have solid games. We saw Colston Loveland and Luther Burden combined for 106 receiving
yards. Of course, we saw Loveland in week nine have his big sort of breakout performance
against that soft Bengals defense. But Burden's an interesting one. Burden was the 39th overall
pick in the NFL draft, sort of an electric player with the ball in his hands. People were head
over heels over the landing spot with Ben Johnson. I know when we broadcasted together during the
NFL draft, like we got hyped about this landing spot because Ben Johnson has a lot of success
with players like this. Now you've got DJ Moore dealing with a shoulder injury. Burden had
three catches for 51 yards this past week. True or false, Luther Burden at some point before
the end of the season becomes a player that you're excited about starting on your fantasy team.
of your upside case for him and does it happen
for him this year. Yeah, I'm going to go
true with this one. And I actually wrote that
in the Waver Wire article. And I said
the same thing about Colston Loveland
about four weeks ago, because
my opinion was that Colston
Loveland was the most overrated,
overranked
player in all fantasy.
Maybe that was a little too hot of a take,
but through the first four,
five, six weeks, it certainly
has been accurate. But then it got to a point
where like, all right, now I'm ready to buy.
because i mean he does have a incredible physical skill set you know what i mean like the guy looks
like tarzan out there i mean he's he's big he runs he's athletic you know what i mean uh and
dj more i'm sick of them i've always been a dj more person i interviewed him at the combine
by the way he's kind of a surly did uh and i think that's kind of played out i mean you try and
uh get him loose and joking around not easy and i i've done it with a lot of
good players but not him uh and you know it just seems like there's always some negative vibe like i
feel like he i mean first of all they they resigned him to this big extension just last summer
we're like oh big vote of confidence he's the guy you know pair him up with caleb and then
fast forward to like early this year it's like he's the he hates caleb williams he wants to be
traded or so i enough of dj more no one else is stepping up i know that they're
continuing to play Zekeos.
He's flashed here and there.
But yeah, I know they're winning to, but it's not sustainable.
They need more staples.
They need a guy to start getting on a run.
You know, they need a guy with, like you said,
a playmaker with a ball in his hands.
Let's not rely so much on Caleb Williams making these big plays
because, you know, hero ball takes over.
Let's scheme up plays for guys like Colston Loveland and Burden.
So obviously we all know that that's a good,
situation in the slot in Ben Johnson's offense. So it'll probably be hit or miss, but I would vote yes
on that one just because, you know, enough is enough, all right? We need to get some identity here
on offense because Caleb is still not that good. Yeah, and it's a six and three Bears team with a massive
game this week against Minnesota, a chance to get revenge for that week one game where Chicago
seemed to kind of have that one at hand. McCarthy makes a nice play at the end using his legs. But
burden and lovelin i think are a big key for them are they a pretending team where you've seen this john
a million times where new head coach takes over maybe they win 10 games they go to the playoffs and
somebody just smokes them in the first round or are they a team that is going to be a viable threat
to make it to the second weekend of the NFL playoffs i think for them to do that and beat some
of these teams we've talked about like seattle like the rams exactly teams with so much
firepower you need your talented players step up so i'm with you add luther
or Burden, if he's available in your league.
Let's take a quick break.
And when we come back, we are talking about, this is going to be a fun one.
Who is John Hanson's pick to finish as the wide receiver one overall this season right after this?
When you fly in Emirates business class and you're picked up by your private luxury chauffeur
driven car, you'll see that your vacation isn't really over until your flight is over.
Fly Emirates.
Fly better.

We're everywhere here at Fantasy Points.
We're helping you crush your fantasy leagues.
John, you've got a couple of real contenders here.
This is like a heavyweight fight
for the wide receiver one overall.
Choose your fighter here.
Jamar Chase, Jackson Smith and Jigba, Pooka Nakuwa.
Who's your favorite to finish as the wide receiver won this year in fantasy football?
Jackson Smith and Jigba.
I think he's the most impressive overall.
I think a lot of the stuff with Chase has been designed near the line of scrimmage crap that we're used to.
Obviously, Chase is ridiculously talented and just a man among boys.
but Jackson Smith and Jigba to me is this is like art okay this is like this is like beautiful
you know what I mean like playing with those the heavy personnel you don't have and granted I know
they just traded for Shahid but you know you don't even need three receipt wideouts on the field
because JSN's like 1.75 receivers out there and I was not a big JSN guy I was a little annoyed that
I only played that one year.
It just rubbed me the wrong way, quite frankly.
He had some injury problems.
And I did, I never said he wasn't good, but I liked flowers and Addison more.
Well, that looked good for a year or two.
JSN is all that.
I mean, this guy is the best rat runner in the league.
He's an absolute stud.
And as soon as I saw Sam Darnold in the offseason just being completely enamored with him,
I was in I had my in my article one of my I have my top 12 guys like these are the 12 guys
that I want to go to battle with he was on the list he was up there to him and Jonathan Taylor
just because I'm like I kept writing I know they're going to be conservative they might
only throw it 26 times a game but when they do I think JSN's getting 13 and 14 of those
targets and that's kind of played out yeah I'm with you it's it's JSN season I was bullish on
JSN this past off season, maybe
should have been even more bullish. I have exposure
to him. Wish I had full on exposure
to him, because I agree with you. He looks like a league winner.
We've had multiple games here
where JSN has had over a
50% target share. And if you're
using fantasy points data, like
John and I are, like JSN is
breaking fantasy points data. It's one of the
it's ridiculous.
And I think
the dream scenario for him as a
prospect was a Cooper
Cup-like situation. And
And he's having his 2021 Cooper Cup-like season.
I mean, like all of the metrics, he's number one in target share, like a nearly 40% target share.
He's number one in air yard share, number one in air yards, yards per route run, targets per route run.
Like, JASN is playing at a phenomenal level.
And I think that that Rashid Shaheed addition is only going to help them because it makes the pie grow larger.
This is an offense that seems to be getting better, John.
and they're just they're they're continually getting better with Clint Kubiak
and it's it's just whatever you can get from JSN so I think you're going to see some
JSN multiple like 30 point performances down the stretch here I think he's going to end up winning
it Jemar chase just unbelievably fantastic I think the two of us will probably argue this offseason
about which wide receiver you should be picking number one next year it's still we might
gravitate towards Jamar Chase in this off season but rest of the season it's JSN he's just simply
remarkable. Let's keep this. By the way, real quick, real quick. As noted by Ryan Heath in
the article, the 13 personnel and the 12 personnel going heavy, that is taken a little bit
away from Pooka Nakua. So that does that does cap the upside a little bit. That's a great
point. And Devante Adams a little bit banged up, but any week that DeVante Adams is there,
you've seen this, John, like these Sean McVeigh offenses, like Sean McVeigh can have a like a guy
that he wants to game plan to get the ball to.
Let's say Puka's the main guy.
But if the defense is dictating
that DeVante Adams should get 20 targets,
he's going to target DeVante Adams 20 times.
We've seen this.
And you mentioned those difficult opponents as well.
There's going to be teams looking to scheme Pooka Nakua out.
So the Devante Adams threat,
JSN certainly doesn't have that.
There's a lot of dudes on Seattle,
but this offense is completely built around JSN.
And you keep bringing up the heavy personnel.
We saw this last.
year with Kubiak in New Orleans
where he looked like this was going to be
the breakout offense, then everybody got
hurt. This is
something where the use
of the fullback and the use of multiple
tight ends having
additional blockers takes
away reads for the quarterback
and it gives them extra time to pass
the blocking is precise
and they're taking these chances downfield.
You're seeing JSN just blow
his air yards away. It's like
the two previous years combined. He'll have
that many air yards this year.
So I love it.
I think we're going to see a copycat league.
You're going to see a lot of teams valuing tight ends this offseason.
There's going to be some blocking tight end.
You're going to say, why the hell is this team giving this guy this massive contract
because they want to emulate what's going on in Seattle and L.A.
Could you imagine having like the six pick this year?
And this was outlined in my draft plan and I did it multiple times.
And you go, all right, um, give me.
me CD Lamb right comes back and you're like because I was in a wide receiver early in in round
one this past year because of Jonathan Taylor and also Chase Brown but Jonathan Taylor was my number
one but imagine getting all right give me CD Lamb comes back all right give me JT and in round
three get JSN I mean come on now that's beautiful yeah yeah I mean there's there's multiple pathways this
year that you could have had you could have conceivably had the the running
back one and the wide receiver one and and the QB one all on the same team and depending on
your scoring you could have had McBride as well so yeah many many good ways there to sort of
build your team and certainly this year JSN covers up a lot of faults if you just drafted
Jonathan Taylor or or JSN you're you could have drafted poorly and you're still probably in
the playoffs no doubt I do have an FFPC team with with about this little roster bation I've
Justin Jefferson,
to my point,
Jackson Smith and Jigba.
I opened the draft.
Justin Jefferson,
Jonathan Taylor,
Jackson Smith and Jigba,
but I also have Rishi Rice.
There you go.
And somebody else really good.
It's like,
that team better make a run
or else I'm going to be pissed.
Yeah,
no,
that's a fun,
that's a fun build for sure.
I have a,
I have a JSN,
Jamar Chase team that right now
is absolutely frying in the FFPC.
So,
yeah,
a lot of,
you know,
you're the running back,
last year. Maybe this year we see
JSN and Chase and a couple of
of these guys be the players that can really
really affect fantasy playoffs. But getting
back to the running back position, we
had O'Mary in Hampton, who
was absolutely just crushing it,
had a big breakthrough performance
in week three, scored 25
points, then followed it up with
28 points against the Giants,
and then was on his way to another big
one against Washington in week five,
gets banged up, and
has missed the rest of the season.
and he's due to come back, he's back on the field with no boot, watching practices,
and there's been some positive talk from Harbaugh and the rest of the Chargers Brass
that they're confident Omari and Hampton's going to come back soon.
A lot of the beat reporters are speculating that we're going to see Omari and Hampton in week 13.
John, true or false, Omarian Hampton is going to return to similar volume that we saw him have in
week three, week four, and week five, or has Kamani
Vidal done enough that this is like a 6040, 65, 35
backfield? I think I'm going to have to go with the latter because
of what we've seen. He's not crushing in the passing attack
and maybe, I know he's doing well every other week. So
we got that, you know, he's like, he's Mr. Odd week, right? No,
he's even Stephen. So week 10, he got
95 in a tutti. Week 9.
only 30 week 8 117 and a touch week 7 only 20 week 6 124 that is weird I was joking around with our guy
stephen a rourke today like you know we've got 700 data points on every single play in the
NFL at fantasy points data we really got to hang our hats on odd week even week for analysis
you know that does seem like there's something there but I'm going to go with no because a he's
held down the fort pretty well overall.
And B, let's not forget about their original plan.
Their original plan was to make it a little bit of a dual backfield there with
Najee Harris.
So I think it's a big ask to get Hampton back.
And granted, you know, maybe he is healthy, but, you know, it might take him another
week or two, three to get, you know, back into the rhythm and to the flow.
So I'm going to say no.
I'm going to say false.
I think Vidal will be a factor all year.
Yeah.
And I think that there's a scenario where Vidal remains a factor, but Hampton still puts up
huge fantasy numbers.
It's the passing game work where if Hampton returns and sees similar work in the passing
game that he saw in that like strong stretch where he was getting seven, six, five targets
every game.
And he had three straight weeks with five receptions or more.
That's sort of the key.
If Vidal takes away eight touches a game that sort of protects Hampton, but Hampton can get
those goal line carries and get the targets, then I think it's fine.
So I actually agree with you on this one.
I think it's probably going to be like a 65, 35, 35 situation.
But Hampton could still be a low-end RB1.
This team is 7 and 3.
I think they have real aspirations here of doing some damage in the AFC playoffs.
Of course, it's a very difficult division with Denver and Kansas City.
Which they won't, by the way.
Which they won't, but yeah, I hear you.
They won't.
Yeah, we'll see.
We'll see.
I mean, at some point, at some point, Justin Herbert, like, you know, he's capable of putting up a big win.
But yeah, I agree with you.
That AFC is very, very difficult right now.
And real quick, one other thing that Hampton was doing what he was doing in the passing game
before Arronda Gadsden was the thing.
I know Gadsden's hurt, but he's kind of commanding the ball in the middle of the field.
And Quentin Johnston's not dead.
Ladd McConk is coming on.
So I don't know.
I don't know.
I think that's going to be a little hit or miss, the volume in the passing game for the runnerbacks.
yeah a massive sigh relief for fantasy managers i've never been more excited to get a report
about a player having a bruise a bruise instead of a knee injury like that one was a it was a very
tilting like 36 hours for us john but ronde gadsden managers we're still alive we're still
ready to rock uh for the rest of the under i took the under and it's annoying because i took
two unders that one this week one of them was dobbs last night and i'm like i feel like i wasted
my lucky injuries on guys I took to the unders
because I don't think
Gatson would have hit 56 yards on Sunday night.
It could have happened,
but they were pretty much containing them.
And then Dobbs last night,
I only had one catch in the third,
late third quarter when he got hurt.
But anywho, not for nothing.
A wins away, I guess.
A wins a win.
A wins away.
You take your wins when you can get them.
Yeah, I know.
But I want to get the win where like the guys like,
if a guy's going to get hurt,
let it be a guy who's probably
looking like he's going off and oh sorry he got hurt and then I win the under so just say no there you go
and one situation we're talking about injured running backs one of the weirder situations in fantasy
has been this bucky irving saga in Tampa bay it looked like it was going to be a short-term injury
it's turned into anything but that now we're getting multiple reports back-to-back weeks that he
can't take any hits on his shoulder yet so the team is sort of being extremely cautious it's the
shoulder, not the foot.
So Bucky's going to miss another week.
This week, Tampa Bay plays against the Buffalo Bills, both teams coming off of a loss.
And we saw Devon A. Chan absolutely annihilate this Bill's defense.
If you had to start a Tampa Bay buck this week, are you rolling with Rashad White or
are you starting Sean Tucker?
I'm going to go white because I think he's still, and I understand the thought process on Tucker
because he's got more pop and all that.
and it looks a little bit better than Rashad.
But I still believe that Rashad White is the number two running back.
So he's going to, I believe, get the start and get myriad opportunities,
ample opportunities.
And all he needs is a good matchup because he'll run well on a bad defense.
And that's a bad defense.
What I am disappointed in, though, is the new office of a coordinator,
other than a couple of downfield plays to Bucky,
he has done a creptastic job of using the running backs in the passing game you're wasting
rashad white's incredible hands if you're not using them well in the passing attack i i guess
that his yard per reception number was down like over two yards just off the top of my head and
i went and looked and it was i mean the guy's averaging five yards a catch for god's sakes yeah
rashad white i think is still the bet i do think that this is a week though with just how generous
this bill's run defense is a little bit of a run for
funnel defense. No, it could be, they could both go off. Yeah, I think that this is a week where
if you're in bad shape in the flex, a bad shape at the RB2, Sean Tucker is a one week
viable spot start. We've seen Tucker sort of have decent production the last two weeks. I think
the last two games played, I should say. I think this could be a Tucker week. But Rashad White
probably gets the goal line carries. And if they're trailing, then Rashad White absolutely is
the back to catch passes. Last week, he had five catches. But like you said,
It was like five catches for 18 yards.
So hopefully you get them a little more loose out in the open field.

Let's keep this one going.
Jameson Williams.
We had a huge game from Jameson Williams,
which was really, really, like, notable
because this was the first game
where Dan Campbell took over the play calling duties.
Jameson Williams has been one of the more frustrating assets
for fantasy managers over the first half of the season.
But don't look now, John,
in three out of his last four games played,
Jamo has had 16 points or more scored
and he had a season high
23.9 ppr points in week 10
they're using him over the middle
he had 119 receiving yards
on six catches against Washington
including a touchdown.
Is this a thing?
Are we looking at Jamo as a fantasy starter
for the rest of the season or do you worry
that we could get back to what we saw
at the beginning of the year?
I mean I'm certainly still a little worried about that
you know, always being a factor,
but I'm going to lean pretty heavily
toward, yeah, this is a real thing.
He was speaking to that top 12 list.
By the way, it wasn't like top 12 players.
It was like the player plus the cost,
plus how I think they could fit in
with my overall plan,
just to balance it out.
The worst player on that list
was freaking Calvin Diddley.
So my bad on that one,
but I thought he could be a needle mover
as a seventh round pick.
Jamo was on the list too though
and I was very high on him
I thought like we're seeing a
slow ascension
we all know he's good he's electric
and all that but I think he's still
ascending and we kept
hearing all year about what Brent
Whitefield observed in
well we kept hearing all summer
all kinds of stuff that
they were doing with JMO
that we didn't see the first six weeks
basically so I've been
writing it in the players to trade and trade
article for a month now. I think I pulled them off
like a week or two ago. I'm like, yeah, I would
buy low. It's
not a lock because part of the reason
it's like the Colts. They're too good. They have too
many options. Basically,
you got to get Leporta. You got to
feed Leporta. Montgomery looks
good. Gibbs is an absolute stud,
of course. Amon Ra.
I'm a little
annoyed. My guy, Tesla hasn't
done more because I love that Tesla kid.
But at the end of the day,
yeah, I think it's for real.
And, you know, I think the people who were high on them were high on them for a reason.
And ultimately, they'll be proven correct over the course of a full year.
Yeah, Jameson was definitely a guy that I was very much into this past off season.
I took them in a bunch of high-stakes drafts.
I took them in two dynasty startups.
And it was really frustrating.
But I think with the contract insulation he had this past off season.
And now I'm like, you know, you mentioned the Colts.
You mentioned the Lions.
It's, yeah, there's going to be games where you.
your guy doesn't hit because the other guys are hitting.
But at the same time,
we're betting on offenses that could drop 40, 50 points.
And I love the idea of this Dan Campbell,
just being this relentless, aggressive play caller.
They scored on every single possession
except for the last one against Washington.
I'm really excited about seeing the way this one shakes out.
And I think we could see a ton of Jamison Williams.
So I'm absolutely starting them.
Adjust your priors on Jameson Williams.
Long season, John.
and the second half of the year is here.
Jamison Williams, lock them in.
Last question for you, John,
this has been a lot of fun today.
Give us an under-the-radar player
who is going to help fantasy managers
win in the fantasy playoffs.
You can take this any way you want.
This can be a player that's on a lot of benches.
This could be a player that's maybe not looked at
as a league winner that could be.
Any way you want to take this question, go with it.
Now, I could go with J.J. McCarthy,
but I don't want to seem like
an apologist or, you know, a fan. Even though, you know,
funnily enough, you know, for decades, I did a, I thought, a very good job of completely
removing my fandom from any analysis. But maybe in this case, you know, knowing that the
Vikings really needed a franchise quarterback, I may have tried to will it to happen. I mean,
look, we all know it's an incredible environment. And their offensive line has been decimated,
for the most part all year so i'll i'll skip over that i'm a little worried about them but it's only
four games i do think that you know we could look back at this as just kind of a training wheel
era for jj but look i am a little worried but here's a guy that i'm very worried about that i was
high on the last two years fact in 2024 he was my number one guy uh it's jordan love i mean it
it's annoying their offense they kind of stink he kind of stinks at the end of the day i'm sorry he's
very talented but he's he's he's he's a slow blinker i mean he's just not seeing it he's just not
seeing it well enough maybe they're not scheming guys open enough i know they've had some injuries
all that said i like i really like the next five to six matchups for him and for christian
Watson. By the way, I was very high on Watson last, less in week 10. I think at the end of that
game, that should have been a walk off tonny, as noted by Aikman in the in the broadcast, because if he
had led him a little bit more to the boundary there, he had to slow down for the throw. But if he
had led him a little bit more to the boundary, Watson probably runs over, runs under the ball and
runs it into the end zone. But I think that illustrates the upside that we're dealing with. I think
Watson looks great. Yeah. So maybe maybe the answer is Watson.
But can I go with Jordan Love slash Watson?
Yeah, I think that the Watson one's really interesting.
Now you've got Romeo Dubs with a chest injury.
You've got Matthew Golden dealing with the shoulder injury.
I know that Wicks had the targets, but I think I'm with you.
I'm like a Christian Watson truther.
A bunch of people don't like it in the Graham Barfield show that I record every week.
It seems like we talk about a Packers wide receiver.
I'm always sort of talking up Watson.
He's going to get his opportunity here.
Green Bay is going to have to adjust.
coming off of that loss.
That was a tough one.
I'll be to throw out Chase Brown,
who was another player,
sort of like Jameson Williams,
looked like a guy who,
if you drafted Chase Brown in round two,
Chase Brown looked like a guy
who was kind of losing you your league.
So a lot of Chase Brown teams are under the gun.
But, John, the recent volume has been really, really good.
Sort of Joe Flacco has influenced this offense.
We've seen T. Higgins get going.
Certainly Chase looks like awesome.
But it's Chase Brown, the last time we saw him play,
eight catches for 75 yards.
guards, had like 14 targets, also 11 carries, 12 carries on top of the receiving work.
And Somaget Pirine now banged up.
I think we're going to see Chase Brown.
He's averaging like 13 points per game now.
I think by the end of the year he could be averaging 15, 16 points.
I think that he's going to get his momentum over the second half of the year.
Chase Brown, an interesting player to go and trade for.
Make sure you're reading all of John's stuff.
He's dropping the trade targets this week.
Who's a player that's a trade target this week, John?
Well, by the way, I'm going off the article because, like, Jordan Love and we can put Watson on here.
But you got to look at the, the schematics of the matchups.
He's got the Giants this week.
They play a lot of man.
Remember the last time he played a man-heavy team against Pittsburgh in week eight?
I loved them that week, and he crushed it.
So that's a good one.
Then you got the Vikings.
That might be a problem, but that could also be a higher scoring affair.
Then you got Detroit.
They play a lot of man.
Shootout City.
then you have Chicago
I'm not that worried about that one
even though they're more zone
then you have Denver scary right
maybe not
they'll probably have Sir Tam back
but again you want him against man
then you have Baltimore
another defense that plays a lot of man
so I like that one
by the way
speaking of the Vikings
my biggest regret
this year has been back
in T.J. Hawkinson
I'm sorry I've been on an apology
at tour but I do like
these these matchups here if you're dying a tight end it'll be touchdown dependent but
chicago green bay seattle washington dallas giants lions that's pretty good um a j brown
and jayl and hertz uh you've got detroit dallas and chicago that those the first two
are great detroit and dallas so a j brown should go off you know i like putting guys on the
article who are going to go off like right away like last week uh roman
Dunezay was splashing the whole article and boom and then he did well the next week before
it was somebody like it's not a coincidence because I'm looking at the matchups and all that
T. Higgins also has a bunch of good schematics forthcoming and I wouldn't mind Barclay and I
absolutely think Justin Jefferson could go in a little bit of a run here Chicago Green Bay
Seattle Washington Dallas Giants Detroit those are all either man heavy defenses or
week or secondaries that give up production.
And Justin Jefferson just seems absolutely due
for a huge game. The target volume
is right there. Maybe he gets it this week against Chicago.
