Fantasy football hot takes for the 2026 season.
Theo Greminger, Fantasy Football Daily on the Fantasy Points Podcast Network and Fantasy Points YouTube.
Join today by my guy, Derek Brown, D, Bro, of Fantasy Pros.
We're not going to talk about the AFC title game.
We're not going to talk about the NFC title game.
Every single podcast you're on this week, D, Bro, you're probably having to talk about those two games, all of the players in those games.
It's just oversaturated.
Certainly we're going to do that right over here at Fantasy Points.
There's going to be a million shows talking about it.
But today we're going to take a break.
We're going to keep our eye on the future.
We're going to look at the 2026 fantasy football season.
How are you doing today, my man?
Doing good, dude.
You and I were chopping it up before we turn the mics and the cams on and stuff.
And it's, you know, everybody's like, you get all these like text messages and
DMs from everybody, you know, all of our colleagues in the space.
They're like, oh, you have enough time to get, catch your breath and stuff.
but I know just as much as you are, I am as well, bro.
There ain't no downtime, baby.
It's prospect season.
Like we are all getting ready for the senior bowl
and we'll be down there like next week as we're recording this right now, Theo.
And I'm excited, dude.
I love this time of the year.
This is honestly, and this is not to say that I don't love the fantasy stuff
and I don't love regular season.
I don't love all of that because I do.
That's what, you know, butters the bread.
That's repays the bills.
It's all the things.
prospect time is my favorite freaking time of year, Theo.
This is my time of year, man.
Yeah, I love it too.
And I feel like a lot of this year is like trying to get catch up.
You're watching film.
You're trying to dive into some of these prospects.
Senior Bowl, it like all comes together.
It gets really, really real.
So this week, like yourself, I'm trying to get prepared for a lot of these prospects.
If you want to hear about our Senior Bowl breakdowns, make sure you're checking out the 2026 NFL draft podcast.
Brett Whitefield and myself.
Also, Dynasty Life.
I'm breaking it down over there.
You can find both of those anywhere you get your podcast.
And yeah, I'll be down in Mobile with Brett Whitefield.
We're going to be live at the Senior Bowl.
D'Brow, you'll be there.
A couple other guys we've interacted with on these pods will be there.
Always great to catch up.
But before we dive into these prospects, let's talk about next season.
And before we get into a couple of hot takes that we have,
let's get DeBro's reaction to some of these head coaching hires.
we're starting to have clarity on the head coaching hires
and then eventually we're going to have clarity
on the offensive coordinator hires.
So we're really getting a feel for how a lot of these teams
are going to look that are not still dancing,
not still in the NFL playoffs.
Let's start off with the Atlanta Falcons.
I was sort of rooting for Clint Kubiak to get this job, Dibro,
but I'm okay with Kevin Stefanski here.
I think this is an okay one for them.
Add some stability, add some NFL head coaching,
experienced there. A lot of pieces we like for fantasy football. Your thoughts on the Stafansky
hire in Atlanta. I mean, I think it's a fantastic hire. You know, my biggest takeaway off of this
off the rip Theo was I wish I was a fly on the wall of those meeting rooms and to understand
the conversations that Stavansky and Blank had specifically around Michael Pinnock's. And what does that
look like because that's obviously he walks into this job.
That's not his guy.
He didn't draft him.
Kirk Cousins is in the building.
Can he run the system?
Pennix is rehabbing and stuff like that.
I wonder about all of this if Cousins walks into 2026 as the clear starter and maybe they,
I'm not going to say they deal Pinnix, but Pinnock has to earn the job.
And dude, honestly, like, I was not that high on Michael Pinnock's as a prospect.
And what we've seen in the NFL.
so far, like, everyone wants to, like, you know, talk about, okay, uh, Caleb Williams up and downs,
J.J. McCarthy, all these other kind of guys, Bryce Young. Michael Pennix hasn't proven anything in
the NFL that he's a long-term starter in this league, man. So like, for me, my biggest takeaway is,
you know, and I'll flip this to like dynasty and stuff is like, if you got Pennix, I mean,
this quarterback class is kind of, yeah, we're kind of sifting through that and see if we can find
any diamonds in the rough and stuff. But like, Pennix, I would be shipping them off and
dynasty because I just don't know if like this rosy outlook is ever like people's how high they
were on him as a prospect and this rosy outlook is ever going to come to fruition, especially with
Kevin Stavansky now there.
I think it's a great take.
I think that the fact that they have cousins and penics, you've seen some organizations make
mistakes here in the NFL where they put all their sort of their push their chips in on a younger
quarterback when they have a team that they think can compete.
and it comes back to burn them.
I think Minnesota would have loved to have had a secondary option to J.J. McCarthy
at times this season they had to in the building the year before.
So I think with Atlanta, there would actually be a sizable market of teams interested in
Kirk Cousins this offseason, especially with like you said, the lack of quarterbacks in the
2026 class.
We could even see potentially only one quarterback selected in round one potentially.
It's a crazy, crazy year for rookie quarterbacks.
but I think that they'll go into the season with both of them.
They'll go into training camp with both of them,
and it gives them flexibility and stability.
The roster's got a lot of talent there.
So I'm interested in that one.
How about New York?
For me, I live on Long Island.
There's a lot of people thrilled with the John Harbaugh hire.
It sounds like we're going to end up with a real,
not we.
I'm not a Giants fan for the record.
But New York, New York Giants are going to end up with Todd Monkin as OC.
sounds like that one will happen.
And then there's some really interesting defensive coordinators,
some with NFL head coaching experience.
I know Antonio Pierce, his name's been mentioned for that one.
So there's a potential for a really good staff following John Harbaugh over to New York.
This feels like a Jackson Dart higher.
It has to be.
I mean, Dart proved, and dude, I know you were high on Dart.
I know Brett was as well.
We were all kind of like banging the table for Dart last year
where it was like he's falling too far in Superflex.
y'all are kind of crazy.
Like, he's the real QV one of this class and nobody wanted to hear it.
And he goes out and he freaking balls out and shoves it in everybody's face.
And now it's like, oh, but can he protect himself?
Blah, blah, blah, like all this kind of stuff.
Dude, like, I think all that's going to work out and wash.
This is a dart hire and it should be a dart hire.
He is the face and the future of your franchise.
I would love it if they bring in Todd Monkin.
Like, yes, hell yes.
Like, he knows how to deploy a mobile quarterback.
He runs a competent offense.
and, you know, they probably, whether they bring in another running back,
because I don't think Scataboo is going to be fully healthy to start the season.
We'll see how that kind of shakes out.
But, like, this is a good thing, man.
You need somebody to kind of like steady the ship, established culture,
and raise all the things about this Giants roster.
Because there's a lot of talent here, Theo.
And if they can do that, yeah, the Giants, I mean, come on, man.
Like, let's be real here.
They have the talent to sit here and compete for the NFC East in 2026.
They do have that talent.
Now, whether that happens and it comes to fruition and all the things align, we shall see.
But this roster, lo-key, has the talent if they can add more skill players on the offensive side of the ball and take care of some of the other problems, spots like offensive line.
Yeah, and we saw it this year with the Chicago Bears, and we saw it with the New England Patriots who were still playing.
But you get a improved coaching situation.
You add some sharp moves in the offseason personnel-wise.
and you see a year one quarterback take a massive year two leap.
We saw it with Drake May, we saw it with Caleb Williams.
It seems like that is sort of the archetype here.
Jackson Dart, if he can stay healthy, you're right.
This team could turn some of those losses into wins.
This could be a turnaround type season.
And they have a top five pick in the NFL draft.
So there's a lot, a lot to like, not on the show sheet,
but just a vibes-based question for you.
Mm-hmm.
And we're in January.
So we're way, way early here.
Cam Scataboo vibes, who was so good this year on a per game basis, how do you see him entering
year two?
He's jogging again, D-Brose.
So the recovery time is there.
Is he one of these assets that's going to get fantasy managers in trouble?
Or is he one that could bounce back and give you similar production?
Because I think there's a lot of varied opinions on Cam Scadaboo.
And it's an important one because you could argue that this is the buy window for dynasty
managers.
you could argue that this is the cell window for dynasty managers.
And you could also argue that this guy is going to be a great best ball pick,
or this could be one that burns you.
I think it's all in the eyes of the beholder,
and we don't know how Harbaugh views him.
Yeah, I agree with you.
There's a lot of – so for me, when I'm faced with situations like this,
and especially like – and I want to go back and tie into, like, two very important things.
When you have day three draft capital, that matters, especially when you get new coaching staffs.
and stuff. And when we talk about why does draft capital matter? Because draft capital and that
investment from an organization buys you more bikes at the apple. It buys you more chances.
It buys you more opportunities to be a starter, to be the guy and stuff. And him having day three
capital and now a new coaching staff, like, I don't know how that's going to shift out. So if it's me and I
have Cam Scadaboo on a bunch of dynasty teams, I'm actually trading him away because I want the liquidity
of the equity of rookie draft picks.
Now whether you can get, you know, considering he's coming off injury and all of the clouded
stuff, you're probably at best probably looking like as a 27 second is probably like your pie
in the sky, which you're hoping to get back if you were to trade him away.
I would take the second hands down.
Now, could that be the wrong move?
Possibly.
But could he be the next Tyrone Tracy and he walks into fighting for the job in 2026?
Hell, we don't know, dude.
And we don't know how this draft, like how they're going to view that backfield.
Is he fully healthy and a player where a lot of us, even if you loves Cam Scadaboo,
and I came around on him late in the process and I was more high on him than I was, like, out.
But a guy that we all kind of questioned during last process and stuff, does he have the athleticism to play,
like, does his game translate because of athleticism to the NFL?
Now you maybe tick that down another rung because of the run,
because of the injury.
And do we get like a Javonte Williams kind of situation where it's like he's got borderline
athleticism and we don't see him pop back to being Cam Scadaboo for until 2027?
All of those things can happen.
So consider me out and I'll take the rookie pick liquidity over Cam Scadaboo right now.
Yeah.
And I'll all say that there's a chance.
And I've thrown this one out there to Scott Barrett, who's a big Cam Scataboo guy.
Brett Whitefield's sort of in this wheelhouse that this year might be a year where teams don't necessarily trade down or it's a little more difficult to squeeze out a package that's worth trading down for.
There's a chance that New York on the clock, if they view themselves as a big contender, they want to get that offensive ecosystem as good as possible for Jackson Dart.
If there's not an offensive lineman that they value using like the fifth overall pick on, could they end up going with Jeremy?
Maya love.
I don't think it's out of the question if he's the draft's best offensive talent.
It's the same owner that said it was okay to draft Barclay.
So no, we can't say that it's off the page.
And I know Brett and I were kind of musing last year of like,
we're the Giants, the Dark Horse team for Ashton Genti.
So I'm not out on any of that.
And that, but that perfectly illustrates the point, Theo, of if you're holding Cam
Scataboo, and this is like, I just have.
previous year Michael Carter vibes because I was all in on Carter and same kind of situation.
It was like he's a day three pick. He popped. Now, he wasn't coming off an injury,
but none of that stopped the jets from drafting Breece Hall and catacizing Michael Carter.
So could that happen to Cam Scataboo? Absolutely, man. Absolutely could.
Yeah, that was a Breece Hall gut punch for anybody who was rostering Michael Carter at the time.
Let's talk about the Miami Dolphins who end up.
moving off of a head coach who, for better for worse, produced a ton of fantasy football success
in Mike McDaniel. They end up getting a general manager with Green Bay Packers' like history
there. And then they followed up by hiring defensive coordinator Jeff Hathley. For me,
this one's like about as vanilla and about as unexciting as it gets. We don't know who the
offensive coordinator will be. I think it's been, there's been a lot of people predicting
this could end up being a Sean McVeigh, Shanahan Tree OC ends up landing here.
So maybe we'll have clarity there.
But for me, this one, I don't even really want to talk about it too much.
It just feels unexciting.
It's just, dude, because it comes down to his defensive-minded head coach.
He ran a lot of, like, really sharp and very interesting things in Green Bay this last year
where I think going into the season, we were all, like, crapping on, like, the Green Bay Packers'
like defensive structure.
we're like, bro, like, do they have a corner that can, you know, play outside and not play the slot?
And then Green Bay for the beginning of the season looks like one of the best freaking defenses in the NFL.
So on that side of the ball, you should feel good about it if you're a Dolphins fan.
But on the offensive side of the ball and for fantasy, hell, who knows, dude?
Like, we don't know what we're going to get out of here because we don't know who the OC is.
We don't know what that kind of philosophy is going to look like.
We don't even know who the quarterback's going to be for Miami for this year.
I don't think it's Tua.
So who's that going to be?
And everybody's connecting dots and pulling the Charlie D.
right now and they're like, okay, so Green Bay GM, Green Bay head coach, okay, they're going to sign
Malik Willis. We'll get to Malik Willis here in a little bit. I don't think he's going to go to Miami
because I don't know if they have the cash and stuff like that to go sign a quarterback right now
with all of the dead cap and all that kind of crap. They're going to accrue with trying to move on
from Tua. So we shall see. But yeah, I'm with you, man. Like, I don't know what to make out of this
outside of like it's good for the defense. We'll see if he can build culture and we'll see what
kind of head coach he is. I know he's got the collegiate record and stuff, which wasn't outstanding.
So I feel like this was Miami and kind of do more Miami things. Yeah, it's definitely a weird one.
Final team for us to discuss, I actually like this hire. Robert Sala, Tennessee. And Tennessee,
I thought they were going to do something like really unexciting here. I mean, there was, you know, retread names like Mike McCarthy being being listed here.
but for me this is an interesting one because Sala always had a mess at quarterback in New York
and never had like a proper OC.
It was always like a weird, felt like a forced offensive coordinator type situation.
The big rumor today is Mike McDaniels kind of being his offensive coordinator
if he doesn't get a head coaching job.
So Robert Sala with Cam Ward, stability there, a ton of cap space and flexibility
and a very high draft pick.
With Mike McDaniel as offensive coordinator,
I think Sala could end up being like the second go-around in Tennessee
could end up looking a lot better than the first go-around in New York.
Oh, absolutely.
At least we know that he's not going to get Aaron Rogers.
Like, we know that that's not going to happen.
He's not going to get ousted because the quarterback's an A-hole.
So that's good to know.
But, dude, like, with McDaniel, if they are to hire him,
and again, we still don't know.
We're all kind of connecting the dots.
or, but if they do hire him, it's fantastic, dude.
I mean, we've seen what McDaniel can do with competent quarterback play.
I think it's going to help ward both whether it's playing inside a structure and also
giving him some of the leeway to do, some of the Cam Wardy kind of things that everybody
falls in love with with a lot of these college quarterbacks.
So the big thing for Tennessee, man, is like, what are you doing on the skill player side to
surround your, your franchise quarterback with talent?
And this is not like, I'm not, I'm not shading anything at D.K.
Gunner Helm or Ellicayo Manor or stuff like that.
But like all those guys, we still have like, we got flashes from them in year one.
Who's to say if like they're going to be like competent NFL starters or guys that are
going to be part of the long term and short term future of the Tennessee Titans?
I think that like maybe one of those guys is saying all three of those guys will be is
probably a little bit of a stretch.
But for me, I'm kind of curious, Theo, like with this hiring and and, and, and,
I'm kind of muddy.
Like I have to go back and kind of like look and see what how this all kind of ended.
But does,
does Tennessee become the low key possible spot to sign Breece Hall now with Robert
solid ending up there?
And I'm going to say this and I'll set this up for you.
I think Tony Pollard's gone.
I think that they're going to cut him.
If they do that,
they'll save $7 million against the cap.
So even if you were to give Breeze Hall like the Josh Jacobs contract,
that's 12 million a year.
year. Say let's go a little bit above that, 14 mil. So you're basically paying 7 mil on top to
sit here and get to upgrade from Tony Powell to Breece Hall. Could you see that happen? Because for me,
with all their cap space, that's a smart move where a lot of people say where this franchise is,
you don't need to spend on a freaking running back, but you need to surround your future franchise or
your franchise quarterback with skill talent on the offensive side because Sala has proven that he can kind
make do and find some diamonds in the rough and draft well for the defensive side.
I think that the Breece Hall suggestion you're throwing out there is a really exciting one.
And I think it would help Cam Ward immensely. And I think it's just indicative of they can do
whatever they want this offseason. And I think that all of the young free agents, skill position
players are going to be very appealing to Tennessee, the, the Breece Halls, the Kenneth Walker's,
to Alec Pierce's, the Wondell Robinson's,
sort of those guys that have a little bit of upside and juice in their profiles,
and you're giving a big contract too,
but you're getting a 25-year-old.
I expect Tennessee to be involved with all of them.
I also think that Tennessee could end up drafting one of these wide receivers
inside the top 10 picks.
So a really, really fun one.
They should.
Yeah, they really should.
They should.
They should draft a wide receiver high.
They should.
Going to be a really fun one.
Let's take a quick break.
We come back.
We're dropping our hot takes for the 2026 fantasy football season right here.
We'll be right back.
All right.
Welcome back.
Theo Greminger and Derek Brown, D'Brow of Fantasy Pros.
DeBrow, what do you have going on this time of year?
Where can people find your content?
Oh, man.
I mean, it's all just working behind the scenes of Fantasy Pros right now.
I'm working through all my rookie profile.
So basically the long and short of it is this time of year, it's all NFL draft.
It's all NFL draft process.
and that lens.
So right now, currently I'm sifting through all the rosters for Senior Bowl.
I'm writing up all the players that I can find all 22 and stuff like that.
So all those primers will be out the Monday that we go to Senior Bowl.
All the content for Senior Bowl is going to be, you know, out there.
We're going to have player interviews, podcast articles, all that kind of good stuff.
As well as, I mean, continuing you through the cycle.
And Theo, I mean, I'm going to have you back on with the Fantasy Pro's NFL Draft Show,
man, which was a fun time last year, and it's always good to talk ball with you. And it's all
prospects, dude. That's all it is. It's all prospects throughout now until freaking June.
That's where I'm at, dude. Yeah. It's, it's no time off with the prospects right up until
rookie draft season. It's, it's just such an important part of our process. And I'll say, even if
you're not a dynasty manager, having an edge in early best ball drafting and just having an
overall understanding on the rookie class.
I mean, it's invaluable.
There's no offseason, and we absolutely love it.
Highly recommend DeBrow for all of his prospect evaluations,
really, really puts a ton of work into it.
And you've had a number of big time hits over the years as well.
Let's get it started.
You can get us started.
You drop your first hot take for the 2026 season.
I think it's a really fun one and one that some fantasy managers won't want to hear.
I don't think they're going to want to hear it, man, but I'm telling you right now,
I think Malik Willis signs with the Indianapolis Colts,
and I think he could be a top five fantasy quarterback in 2026.
And I know people are going to say, dude, it's recency bias,
like you're just going off a small sample size.
I love Malik Willis coming out as a prospect.
And people that are like, now that it's all there's like rumors of like,
oh, could the Steelers sign him?
Dude, they should have drafted him, okay?
No, you don't get to sign him right now because you should have draft.
at him. And Malik Willis has played good at every single turn when he's been given opportunities
with Green Bay. And I'm not going back to all the Tennessee stuff. We knew that he was a prospect
that was going to need time and he was going to need coaching and he got that in Green Bay.
And the numbers in a small sample size, like I get it's only 47 dropbacks. But dude,
it's fantastic. Per of the fantasy points data suite, 10.3a dot. So he's not just taking the
checkdowns last year. 77.1% highly accurate throw rate, a 94.
percent catchable target rate.
Like this guy not only is adding it with his legs, but he is performing as a
freaking passer.
You air drop him into the cult system.
And it's just, it's a hand and glove fit, Theo.
It's the mobility.
It's the play action.
It's the deep ball.
It's all these parts of pieces in a Shane Stuyken offense.
And everybody's going to say, but dude, come on.
Two things.
They're not going to bring Daniel Jones back.
No, they should not bring Daniel Jones back.
Because here's the thing.
With trading for Sauce Garder, you gave up your top draft picks.
You are all in it to win it in 2026.
And if you don't do that, Shane Steikian's gone.
Chris Ballard is gone.
And the thing I can definitively tell you for 2026 is Daniel Jones will not be fully healthy.
Daniel Jones will not be Daniel Jones.
How many times we have to freaking see this, Theo?
Aaron Rogers, Kirk Cousins, are two most recent examples of,
of not truly being themselves, even as pocket quarterbacks in the NFL coming off Achilles
injuries. And you think Daniel Jones is going to be fully healthy and going to be able to lead this
team and access his mobility. And this front office needs to depend on him in 2026. That's a fool's
Aaron. If they do that, all they're going to be doing is signing their own pink slips, Theo.
So for me, this is you go out and you pay Malik Willis,
you air drop them into this system, go make the playoff push,
win your 10 to 12 games, make the playoffs, cement your job.
And for everybody else at home that says, oh, God, where do they get the freaking money?
The Colts have the 14th most cap space in the NFL walking into next year.
That's before restructures, cuts, and anything else.
I love it.
I talked about this with Dave Kluge last week on Fantasy Football Daily.
I've predicted Malik Willis to Miami as well,
but you make a great argument for Indianapolis
where we saw the success of Daniel Jones in this offense.
I think Malik Willis offers maybe even more with his rushing upside.
You're talking about a 4-6 flat 40-type quarterback.
And we also saw the huge output that he had in the Baltimore game
when he got that opportunity in week 17,
the fantasy football playoffs this past year.
I would love that fit.
I think it would be a great fit for Jonathan Taylor.
I think everything about that makes a ton of sense.
I love that one, D-Bro.
That's a really fun one.
And maybe we see a Daniel Jones ends up in Minnesota-type outcome there.
So it sort of opens things up for a return to Minnesota,
which I think would be a really, really fun one.
For me, it's the Buffalo Bills.
And they're in the news now.
They fire Sean McDermott.
They bring back Bean for whatever reason.
I think there's a ton of pressure on Brandon Bean here to get it done.
And I think that there's a ton of criticism
everywhere about the level of wide receiver that has been surrounding Josh Allen in Buffalo.
And I think it's going to put a lot of pressure on that front office.
They're going to hire a new head coach, not sure which direction, maybe a Brian Dable, maybe a Joe Brady.
They're going to do something offensively oriented.
And I think they're going to follow it up at the wide receiver position.
I'm going to predict that Buffalo uses a first round pick on a wide receiver in the 2026 NFL draft.
And they are going to sign Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Mike Evans chases a ring with Josh Allen.
And in the NFL draft, the Buffalo Bills are going to trade up and get Mackay Lemon of USC.
Mackay Lemon and Mike Evans, big offseason at the wide receiver position.
Josh Allen is going to have a war chest.
They'll figure it out with Khalil Shakir and Mackay Lemon.
But Mackay Lemon, a really, really fun prospect.
I think Buffalo probably has to trade up maybe eight or nine.
spots to get them, but they're close enough to make a deal. They're not going to waste Josh Allen,
29, 30, 31 year old years. They're going to push the chips in at wide receiver.
Bro, I hope so. I sure as hell hope so because out of all of the news, the confounding and
hilarious news that they fire McDermott and they promote Bean. And I'm like,
it's crazy. It's insane. It just goes to show you.
And I think Matt Harmon said it best that they was like,
this is some little finger stuff, bro.
Like this ain't right, man.
Like to know that Bean has the ear of the owner and he's able to kind of twist it and be like,
it wasn't me.
I built this roster, but it wasn't me.
It was McDermott.
It wasn't me.
I swear.
But to be to your point,
they have to rectify this.
And all of the missteps,
because we all got,
you know,
all of the trade deadline stuff about how the bills didn't want to give up
a first for Jalen Waddle.
And then you see the bills go and just like, dude, Josh Allen should not be.
And I hated the narrative when all this stuff came out when they got rid of Diggs
or Diggs wasn't a part of the future of the franchise and stuff.
And they're like, well, Josh Allen's better off.
He doesn't need a true wide receiver one.
Yeah, you don't need a true wide receiver one until you get into the playoffs or you face
teams or the chips are down and you need a guy in your corner to freaking lean on as your go-to.
Yeah, a true wide receiver one looks pretty freaking good for Buffalo.
So for all the narrative chasers before, they were like,
Josh Allen doesn't need a wide receiver one.
He's even better with that one.
Watch him go.
Dude, Alan should not be asked to live with the Superman Cape every single down,
every single week, period.
That's not fair to him either.
I love this prediction.
Love it.
It's ridiculous.
I've gone on tangents about being,
we're not supposed to, we're supposed to be forward thinking,
we're talking about NFL playoffs.
But hey, man, Josh Allen needs wide receivers.
So Mike Evans, Mackay Lemon.
You've got a really fun, really fun prediction coming up.
Yeah, dude, I'll just go down the list here.
Kenneth Walker is going to sign with the Washington commanders,
and he is going to be a high-end RB1 in 2026.
And yes, for all my Bill love, it's Kapuski.
If that happens, it's gone.
But, dude, the commanders need a three-down.
workhorse back.
Stop all this committee stuff and things of that nature.
They need a tone setting back.
And Kenneth Walker is that.
And I know that everybody doesn't want to hear this in Panticle Circles.
And they were all burned by Kenneth Walker and stuff.
The reason you were burned by Kenneth Walker was not a Kenneth Walker problem.
It was a usage problem and a coaching problem with Seattle and how they deployed the man.
The fact that you're taking them out of the damn goal line every single shot to put in Zach
Charbonnet, to put in Halani, to put in whoever.
the hell else. Like, is more of a travesty for Kenneth Walker than it is for anything else.
It's not an indictment upon his talent because I'm just going to spit you some Fantasy
Points Data Suite stats here, Theo. Kenneth Walker, people need to believe in, and I have,
like, since he was a prospect, because the talent is freaking through the roof, dude. Amongst 49
runbacks last year, prayer the Fantasy Points Data Suite, second and explosive run rate,
behind only Devon A. Chan. Okay, that's good. First, it mistackles force per attempt.
amongst 47 qualifying running backs, and this is where I come through with, he is a really good receiving back, and he's a three-down workhorse, and that is what bolts him to RB1, high-end RB-1 status.
Because amongst 47 qualifying running backs, Theo, this man was 19 yards per route run and an 11th and first downs per route run.
He's got the receiving chops. He's got the big playability. He can be the three-down back that the commanders need.
And guess what, Theo? This is also a franchise that.
that has the six most caps pace walking into this offseason.
Hello, Kenneth Walker.
Yeah, you nailed it.
And this is going to be a big change offseason for the Washington commanders
on the offensive side of the ball.
Kenneth Walker makes total sense here.
You need to have a strong offensive ecosystem around Jaden Daniels.
They had this weird surround him with all these old guys type move
and then Moneyball the running back position.
And Jacori Kroski Merritt, very good overall counting stats.
but it was a lack of consistency there.
So he gets 800 plus rushing yards, gets eight touchdowns.
We'll say that's good.
But again, he's an older day three, late day three prospect,
not a kind of guy that has a stranglehold of any sort of the,
with the position.
I think he moves into a backup role behind Kenneth Walker there.
And Walker, I would love this.
I think he'd have an opportunity to catch the most passes in his career
with Jaden Daniels there.
I think they could scheme that up.
And the potential home run hitting ability next to a,
mobile quarterback like Jaden Daniels.
That's just fantasy football 101 right there.
So I would love that fit.
And I think it makes sense with you look at the amount of cap space they have.
So I love that one.
I'll go with another free agent prediction here.
Kyle Pitts ends up being franchise tagged by the Atlanta Falcons and ends up scoring
the most fantasy football points of his entire career.
We're talking about a guy who had 88 catches this past year.
And this would seem like a massive.
breakthrough for Pitts. I think there's a little bit of room to run next year, especially in the
touchdown department. This is not a knock on Drake London, and this is certainly not a knock on
Bejohn Robinson. Bejohn Robinson is going to be, he's my number one ranked player in my
early PPR top 50 rankings. I think next year he's a thousand thousand guy. But Kyle Pitts,
I think next year under Stefansky in that offense is going to be unbelievably good. This year was a
big step forward. He's still going to operate as the number two target. Wide receiver,
the secondary wide receivers are not going to preclude Kyle Pitts from being a very strong
second target to Drake London. I think the touchdown numbers are going to spike up next year.
And you look at the history of tight ends with Stefanski. David and Joku for two straight years
was fantasy friendly as it gets. This past year, Harold Fanon leads Cleveland in all receiving categories.
We've got a sample size here. The two.
trend is your friend. Kyle Pitts under Kevin Stefansky in Atlanta has his best season as a
pro. Dude, so let's just put some context with that. Kyle Pitts is coming off tight in four
in fantasy points per game. Are you telling me right now that Kyle Pitts is a top three tight end in
26? I think I just did. If I'm with you. I love this. Yeah, let's do it. I'm totally with you on
this, man, because it makes so many different sense. And it also makes sense that they retain him from
Kyle Pitt standpoint. If you look at the ecosystem and just the ability of like, okay,
if he doesn't stay in Atlanta, they don't tag him, they don't, they don't sign him to a contract,
where does he go? There's not this a plethora of teams that need a starting tight in where he is
going to definitively get paid. So I think this is a perfect marriage for both sides. I love this
take. Yeah, it would take kind of takes two to tango here in Washington, Tennessee, some of these
franchises that have cap space, would they offer him a massive contract? But I could be a moot point.
So for years, we've been waiting for Kyle Pitts to be able to leave Atlanta.
And now I think his best opportunity for strong fantasy success next year will be just staying in Atlanta.
Very still, very, very young, took a step forward this year.
So love that one.
Let's take one quick break.
We come back.
D, bro, your OTC with your next hot take.
All right, welcome back, Fantasy Football Daily with Derek Brown of Fantasy Pros.
D, bro, break it down.
What do you got?
Dude, I don't know.
So you're going to have to tell me.
I don't know if this is incredibly hot and scorching.
You're going to have to give me a temperature check here.
But Parker Washington regulates Travis Hunter to being a full-time cornerback in 2026 and he's a top 15 fantasy wide receiver.
And for everybody to hold on, hold on, before everybody eye rolls and they go to like reach for the turn the show off button and you just think that I'm just spitting insanity here.
week 16 through 19s we got a four game sample parker washington averaged 22.3 fantasy points per game theo
and just to put that in context for everybody because i know that that is a that's a big number
that would have made him over the entire season theo wide receiver two above jsn who had 22 21.2
fantasy points per game parker washington in those four games a 28.9 percent target share a 113 receiving arts
3.78 yards per route. These are elite insane numbers. If you take the name out of this and Parker Washington's name out of this context and you just present these numbers also in those four games, eight red zone targets, 13 freaking deep targets, a 33.3% first read share. If you take Parker Washington's name out of this and you just said, what slot wide receiver is putting up these numbers, you would think these are Amman Ross.
same Brown type of numbers.
And that's the context.
Like Parker Washington is set to smash, dude.
And if you look at like what the Jaguars did down the stretch and the cohesiveness of this
offense and how it jelled and how Lawrence played much better with Myers and Washington
and Brian Thomas Jr.
Stretching the field.
Why are you not running that back?
You were absolutely and emphatically running that back.
And then you mesh that with the needs of Jacksonville.
they need cornerback help.
You also need Travis Hunter
to pan out as an NFL player
in the equity that you gave up to get him.
And here's the thing.
If you have another year of him middling
between defense and offense
and he doesn't get a foothold,
much less produce consistent high-end moments
on either side of the ball,
then people are going to look at him as a bust.
If he walks out of 2026 as a top 10 NFL corner,
nobody is going to give a crap.
Nobody's going to care about what Gladstone gave him to get him.
Now all that conversation is dead.
It's a moot point and it does not freaking matter.
Parker Washington is a massive bylaw right now.
I completely agree with you.
Parker Washington is 23 years old.
You just laid it down with what he was able to do statistically.
And I'm buying a late season breakout for a 23-year-old.
You mentioned Amman and Ross St. Brown.
I'll mention another former Penn Statewide receiver who played under Liam.
Cohen, Parker Washington looked like Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay at times last year. So I think Parker
Washington is exactly the kind of player that the fantasy community might overlook. And they're going
to look at it as sort of a crowded room. A lot of people betting on, hey, they paid Jacoby Myers.
Hey, Brian Thomas has to play better. Hey, Travis Hunter is this guy that they took second overall.
But I think Liam Cohen, they don't care. And you look at the type of wide receivers that have been
able to thrive with Trevor Lawrence, and it's not all kinds of wide receivers, but maybe the best
fantasy season any wide receiver had collectively was Christian Kirk when he signed as a free agent
operating out of the slot with Trevor Lawrence in his second year as a pro. I could see Parker
Washington doing it all over again. I think you nailed it like top 15, top 20 wide receiver next
year operating out of that slot. Love that one. I think it's a really, really fun take. And I think
that Parker Washington is a by-low in every sense of the word. If you're a dynasty manager,
you're going to pay more than you would have three months ago, but you're going to pay a lot
less than you would in nine months. And if it's an early best ball, just draft him. He's not
going to hurt you. He's not disappearing after this one. My next one is easy. My next one is a fun one.
Jackson Dart is going to lead all quarterbacks in rushing touchdowns this season.
He's going to be a top five score at the quarterback position. And I think he'll challenge. I
for the rushing yardage totals as well.
But I think it's really the ability for Jackson Dart to find the end zone around the goal line.
You look at the history of the Todd Monkin offense.
You look at what Lamar Jackson was able to do under John Harbaugh.
This is the MO here.
Jackson Dart, the touchdown totals are going to be silly.
I think we're talking about 12, 13 rushing touchdowns this year, leads all quarterbacks.
And you talk about all of the mobile quarterbacks that are truly elite.
getting a little bit older with Josh Allen.
Lamar Jackson, we saw the rushing production this year,
take a step back.
Jalen Hertz absolutely locked in.
That's going to be a tough one for Dart to compete with.
But I think when it's set and done,
Jackson Dart is healthy for the season,
finds the end zone an absolute ton.
This is the breakout offense,
and this is the breakout quarterback.
I'm all with you, man.
I'm totally with you.
And everybody that took advantage of the value of Jackson Dart,
who was following to the back end of rookie superflex drafts,
like the back end of the like the first round to the top of the second round,
you're looking at your chops, man.
You're just like you're,
you feel like you're playing with house money.
If you were following sharp people and listening to Theo,
myself, Brett and others in the industry,
you're playing with house money, dude,
because you're all in.
You draft the Jackson Dart and you could get him.
Dude, he was so freaking easy to trade into rookie drafts
or to draft him when he fell in everyone.
I have Jackson Dart exposure almost,
through all my dynasty leagues right now.
Yeah, I'll flex one dynasty trade I made because you'll like this one.
Okay.
Oh, baby.
I traded Drake London during like the peak Drake London.
Well, peak Drake London value.
Before he had all those wide receiver one over all weeks, but the value was spiked up.
I traded him for Jackson Dart when he was still on the bench, Luther Burden.
And then I got a first round pick on top and I traded back, I think, a second.
So I'm, I'm chilling right now with that one.
Yeah, we're cooking.
Fluss it up, baby.
Jackson Dart, if we were redrafting the 2025 class in a Superflex Dynasty rookie draft,
knowing that these guys are going to year two, number one pick, D, bro?
He's top three.
And if he's not number one, if he's not going ahead of Ashton Genty and Colston Loveland,
whoever you want to throw in there, like he's going top three, no doubt, dude, no doubt.
100 to 100%.
What is your next hot take here?
So, DJ Moore will get traded and I'll even give you a destination here.
Theo, I think DJ Moore gets traded to the Patriots because he's not going to go anywhere in the NFC,
all the contenders and what have you and all that kind of stuff.
So let's ship him off to the Patriots because they're not going to get A.J. Brown with that contract with Philly and stuff.
He's not going to make the move.
DJ Moore goes to the Patriots and Colston Loveland becomes the clear white receiver one for the Chicago Bears and competes with Tray McBride for the crown of tight end one overall.
next year. And I put this together and I couldn't tell like, because I know, dude, like,
you're going to look at all these redraft rankings and stuff. Everybody's going to have him top
three, top five. Is this a true hot take? But I feel like this is where it comes down to the ADP
and everything will not catch up fast enough to Colston Loveland next year. He's probably going to
start out somewhere as a fourth or fifth round pick. He probably settles in as a third round pick.
and you correct me if I'm wrong if you disagree with any of those valuations.
But for me, just like I was with Trey McBride, that puts Colston Loveland if you're drafting him
religiously in the third round of every freaking redraft where he is a difference making asset
for you in 2026 because if you just look at it's 16 through 20 and I'm bringing in the playoffs,
but Colston Loveland was a full-time player in this no Cole Commet BS in the Chicago Bears offense.
Dude, he was Trey McBride in Chicago.
So week 16 through 20, he had a, and I'm just going to get, quantify this for everybody at home against 54 qualifying tight ends over the, like, so give context of all these numbers.
And if you stack this up against a full season of players where this would rank, just to give people context of this take.
So in, in those games, week 16 through 20, he had a 67 or 76% route share that had been seven.
He had a 25.6% target share, Theo.
That would have been first ahead of even freaking Tram McBride.
He was at 25.4%.
He averaged 81.6 receiving yards per game.
That would have been first over Tram McBride, 72.9.
He had 2.49 yards per route run.
That would have been top five.
A 34% first read share.
Theo, here we go.
That would have also bested Tram McBride.
He was at 33.8%.
He averaged 17.2 ppr.R points per game.
game, that's sitting behind only Trey McBride, Theo.
I mean, like, dude, like, this is the guy that you pay up for in dynasty circles,
because this could be the next Trey McBride where it's like, it's not you're paying a
king's ransom.
It becomes after next season, he is probably untouchable in dynasty.
Yeah, I mean, he's very close to Brock Bowers and Trey McBride right now, which
has seemed like it was sacrilege to say six months ago.
Colston Loveland, I made a prediction that he was going to end up with like 11 touchdown catches next year.
I feel like the target total is going to be really good.
We've seen Sam Leporta under Ben Johnson to have that 125-ish target season as a rookie.
I think Loveland can go north of that easily and the potential touchdown upside.
And Debrough, we just saw Chicago with the unbelievable win over Green Bay in the wildcard round where they targeted Colston Lovell.
11 times. He's 21 years old. There's no Colston Loveland bullish prediction you could make where
it's too much. Like he's an absolute stud. I ranked him somewhere. I think I had on like 44th overall
in my top 50. I might be a little too low right there considering where I have Bowers and where I have
McBride might have to adjust that one next time I do an update. Do you think he's going to end up? Do you think
he's going to end up as a third round pick? Where do you think when it's all said and done and we're
staring at 2026 season like we're you know the the draft weekend of fantasy and redraft and we're
staring down the barrel of week one where do you think his ADP ends up i i think it's round three so i think
in in tight end premium fPC leagues i think he's going to end up in second round second round second
and then in like nfc leagues i i don't know usually there's not that many highly drafted tight ends
Like there's usually like the Bowers.
I think it's going to be McBride.
It's going to be a borderline first.
Bowers will be in the second.
I think Loveland, you probably could get in round four just because people devalue the tight end position.
But I think he's tight end three overall locked in in ADP.
It's just a matter of how close is he to those other two guys that do you get a little bit of value there?
And I think that there's going to be a ton of Luther burden enthusiasm.
I think there's going to be Roma Duneses of value.
where you're getting him right now and DJ Moore's gone.
And then we don't know what else Chicago is going to do this offseason.
If DJ Moore gets traded, they're going to bring in another wide receiver.
Is that an exciting one or is that some guy that maybe is a speed guy on day three?
I don't know.
But I think with Ben Johnson's offense, anytime you get somebody in the mix, people are going to make arguments for that player.
So I don't know which way that's going to go.
Fun offseason coming for the Chicago Bears.
They are locked and loaded right now.
I don't know what way they're going to go,
but I do think DJ Moore's last day in Chicago is there.
He's going to play on somebody else's team next year.

My next prediction, I'm going to go with another player who took a step forward this year.
But I'm going to say Zay Flowers is this year's big value at the wide receiver position.
This past year, he had 1,200 plus receiving yards, 86 catches.
We all saw what he was able to do late in the year.
Average 14.3 points per game.
I think there's a chance that this goes way up.
I'm going to say 17 points per game for Zay Flowers at 25 years old.
It's a simple equation for me.
They're not going to be one of the most pass-happy teams in the NFL,
but they're going to be a lot more pass-happy in 2026 than we've seen in previous years.
I think they're going to take a little bit of a little more ease on Lamar Jackson,
the runner.
Derek Henry is still absolutely in the mix, even at 32 years old.
But I think Zay Flowers becomes a little bit.
little bit more of an offensive focal point, a consistent one at 25 years old.
All it takes is a little bit of past volume increased with a new coaching staff in Baltimore.
I think we're going to see Zayflowers, and it's been consistent, 108 targets in
2023, 116 in 2024, 118 this past year.
I think you're talking about 140 plus targets this year in 2026, and I think Zay
Flowers has a tremendous season, flag plant time, early flag plant Zayflank.
Dude, I'm all in for that because it's not a talent problem for Zay Flowers at all.
He's gotten better every single freaking year.
He's been so freaking efficient with all of his volume.
And he's awesome, man.
It just comes down to the touchdowns.
If we can get him out of that four to five range and he can get into the nine, maybe sniff double-digit touchdowns,
he's a walk-in, walk-in wide receiver one with like top five upside.
Theo.
Yeah, and I like him.
I like him in Dynasty, and I will be drafting a lot of him in best ball and in redraft.
I think he's right in that wheelhouse where everybody, there's no, nobody really dislikes
Zay Flowers, but we're often drafting him at what I think is going to be his floor when
I think there's a ceiling case where he, like you said, he can get there with the targets,
he can get there with the touchdowns, he can get there with the scheme being a little bit more
wide receiver friendly.
And another variable, the team could be a little less.
tight end centric next year, likely might walk.
They already re-signed Mark Andrews.
We know that he's not old Mark Andrews right now.
So I think it's a little more of entering the season.
Zayfloweris is our guy in the passing game and the other guys are secondary targets.
What else do you have here?
Oh, what do you got here to D.
I love how you phrase that and you set that up.
He's not old Mark Andrews anymore.
You're right, Theo.
He's just old Mark Andrews now.
Yeah, he's not back in the day, Mark Andrews.
He's just old Mark Andrews.
He's just old Mark Andrews.
That's right.
That's right.
All right.
Well, let's not, you know what?
You're going to close us out.
You have a really, really spicy hot one.
Mine's not that great.
Mine's pretty good, but yours is really good.
So we're going to actually, I'll go two in a row and then you close us out.
I'm going to say that the San Francisco 49ers are going to draft a rookie wide receiver in the first round this year.
They're going to end up with a with a KC. Concepcion, Texas A&M wide receiver.
Debrough and I are going to be down in Mobile watching Concepcion.
play. A really fun player. And I think that the fantasy football, like enthusiasts are going to be
head over heels when they see him landing in a Shanahan offense. He's got the ability to be used
on manufactured rushing attempts. NC State did it with him. Texas A&M did it with him.
Really, really, really fun, explosive talent that I think would step into a big role immediately
with Brock Purdy in San Francisco. Got to remember, George Kittle's going to miss about 10 games
to start the year next year, eight or so games
to start the year next year.
And then you'll have a string along with this one.
Brandon Ayuk will finally be traded.
Another wide receiver from San Francisco
ends up in Washington.
Brandon Ayuk gets reunited with Jaden Daniels.
And Brandon Ayuk ends up getting a big bounce back here.
I don't think he's the wide receiver won in Washington.
I think it's still going to be McLaurin.
But you talked about Kenneth Walker ending up there.
I think Brandon I yuk ends up
having a big rebound here.
He's down into like the wide receiver 60 range on Keep Trade Cut for dynasty circles.
Iyuk to Washington and San Francisco drafts a wide receiver.
I'm totally in on that, man.
I think that's a fantastic call because it makes it makes so much sense.
Like send the guy to where he wanted to go to anyway.
And I think, you know, that type of marriage on for both sides makes a ton of sense.
And dude, you, you give me all hot and bother all this KC Concepcion.
talk, man. I love that guy. We've talked about this all fair. I think when we come out of senior
bowl, he's going to be a locked in first round pick in the NFL draft. I mean, it's just,
it's so easy to see the path, Theo, where he builds hype, he tears it up in one-on-ones down
there. We know he's going to, he's going to run fast at the combine. And so it's just going to
be the hype tornado for him from Mobile all the way up to the draft, man. So I love that call
so freaking much. And yeah, I'll just cap this off, man. I think Jonathan,
and Brooks becomes Carolina's lead back in
26, and he is a stretch run
hero for fantasy.
And this all comes down to
Rico Dowdell, I do not think is going to be back.
He's on a one-year deal. He's an aging back.
Chuba Hubbard lost his job
the freaking Rico Dowdle this last year.
And for everybody out there,
Chuba Hubbard was one of the most inefficient
running backs in the entire freaking NFL.
Per of the Fantasy Points Data Suite.
And over 134 carries, Theo.
So I'll give you a guess.
How many explosive runs that Chuba Hubbard have this season?
Oh, that number is going to be very, very, very low out of 1304.
If you say anything above zero, then you're wrong.
It's zero.
It's absolutely zero.
I was going to go like two or three on that one.
So yeah, zero sounds pretty, pretty bad there, D bro.
Zero.
One of the most inefficient run-inbacks and just a team that with that is that he had a 6% mistackle rate,
1.75 yards up to contact per attempt.
All of those are below basement backup level running back numbers.
Chuba Hubbard's contract is not like prohibitive.
I want to say they could even cut him.
I don't think that they do that.
I think they keep him.
But dude, Jonathan Brooks should walk into this season healthy.
The draft capital,
Carolina is still invested in this guy.
If we get a fully healthy Jonathan Brooks,
like this is one of the best buys in all of the dynasty right now.
because nobody's freaking talking about him, nobody's thinking about him.
He's out of sight, out of mind.
If he comes back fully healthy, Theo, off of the layoff that he's had,
then I get the injury risk.
I understand all of that.
But if he comes back and he looks like Jonathan Brooks,
tell me he doesn't own this backfield by mid-season,
and he doesn't rip it up on a team that wants to run the freaking ball.
and if they can get consistent offensive line play,
they should be able to do that.
And we know they're not going to be a pass first team
with Bryce Young Man.
So like Jonathan Brooks, I just look at him as a streaming by, man.
Like whatever you're going to give up in Dynasty to go get him right now,
if he pays off on this prediction or comes even like within like sniffing range,
60% of this prediction, he's going to pay off for you.
Yeah, I mean, honestly, all he needs to have a huge dynasty spike in value is some very
very, very strong reports on his health
and a couple of one or two videos
of like an off-season workout type
you know, him looking explosive and cutting.
You'll see a value spike.
But I actually had him on Dynasty Life.
I dropped a six moves to making Dynasty episode last week.
One of the moves was go and acquire Jonathan Brooks.
So we're on the same page right there, man.
Yes!
People are starting talking about it.
And I'll say Jonathan Stewart did like a hype tweet,
dropped a hype tweet saying
going by Jonathan Brooks's jersey
so like I think some of the people
surrounding the team sort of in the know
former Panthers, beat reporters
are going to start whispering the name Jonathan Brooks
Dowdell's gone, Dowdell wants more volume anyway
and I don't think he liked the way the season ended.
Jonathan Brooks has a chance to be
the lead back at some point
in a Dave Canales offense.
Dave Canales running backs.
That's a fantasy football ATM machine
love the way you ended up and ended up with that hot take there.
Let everybody know once again where they could find your work.
