Hey, what's up? It's John Hansen here. The Fantasy Points Week 8 review podcast is in the books
and ready for your consumption. And if you're wondering what the hell is wrong with my voice, yes,
I did in fact lose it screaming to Frederick Freeman's Grand Salami to beat the New Yonky
Yankees in game one of the World Series. One is probably a top five moment for yours truly,
but no one gives a rat's ass.
because you want the hashtag analysis.
That's what we did.
We go through.
It was a pretty good week.
Got some things right.
Got some things wrong.
A couple lessons learned.
We'll talk about it.
Here next on the Fantasy Points podcast.
And as always, you're welcome.
All across the Fantasy Universe, welcome everybody to the Monday morning recap show.
It's the Fantasy Points podcast.
I'm Brian Drake alongside the guru, John Hansen,
breaking down all things from a crazy, crazy week number eight in the NFL.
there's some things we got right.
John, there's some things we got wrong, but a great day of NFL football.
We saw fantastic finishes.
We saw Hail Marys.
We saw walkoffs.
We saw a couple more quarterback injuries.
Unfortunately, we're going to get into all of it on today's show.
But how you doing, my friend, is you got your Dodgers hat on?
I got my Yankees lit on.
You guys are up too oh.
And you don't have a voice for the podcast because you're screaming at your TV during this
World Series so much.
yeah i did have a very uh um
impromptu to say the least um impulsive uh reaction i just i like lost my lost my shit basically
and um i had probably 50 years of anger and frustration uh built up i'm seeking therapy uh as we speak
uh the hatred that i have toward the yankees and met's it's just it's not really healthy but uh
It could be worse.
We could be down 02.
But yeah, we'll try and power through this.
But I know this is annoying.
So sorry.
Sorry.
Well, let's start off with my birds with a 37-17 win in Cincinnati.
This game, John, it was weird to start because Cincinnati was just converting all these third downs.
They converted their first seven third downs.
Their first drive of the game was a touchdown to Jemar Chase took over 10 minutes.
then the wheels kind of fell off for the bangles.
They got a two-man passing game out here with Jemar Chase,
who went nine for 54 in a score,
and Mike Jaseki,
who really played wide receiver today with T. Higgins not in there.
He went seven for 73.
But there's just,
there wasn't much else happening for Cincinnati.
They couldn't convert anything in the second half.
And Philadelphia just pulled away with Jalen Hertz.
I mean, Jalen Hertz right now,
look at the numbers he's putting up.
236 and 1 is a password, John,
but another three rushing touchdowns.
Imagine the numbers that Saquan could be putting up
if he could get just half of these freaking things.
But Jalen Hertz just looking like a freaking MVP candidate out here
who will never get any votes because the team stinks.
But what did you think of the birds moving to five and two?
I mean, I didn't see every play, obviously.
I mean, he goes 16 to 20.
It didn't really feel that way.
I mean, he got the ball to AJ Brown early for sure.
Yeah, a couple of chunk plays.
Even Calcutara, skinny Batman, you know, honestly, I didn't really love him in this game,
but I also wrote like, you're not keeping this guy down much longer, basically.
Trade 4 guy.
I used them, of course.
Most people do, but I know we did tell a couple people that said them.
It's a tough call.
A lot of our subscribers, of course, they come on our live stream, and they've got so many damn good players.
I think we do generally give out good advice, but I did like Chase Brown today.
I got lucky because he scored.
So he got, what, 11 points?
Not bad, but certainly that was kind of a reach.
I was feeling it, but may have been, you know, bad gas or something I ate.
But I think that the Bengals are kind of a mess, man.
Like, you know, Higgins is out today.
Like, you just start to worry as these losses pile up.
Like, they're not very predictable.
So that's not good.
You want to have some continuity.
It's like, oh, yeah, Gassiki was, you know, the flavor of the week today.
I thought it would be Yosevish, actually, but figured Gassiki would get a little bit more involved, of course.
But, you know, he did this early in the year.
Then he vanished for, you know, two, three weeks.
So, I don't know, they're week to week.
I saw Jermaine Burton make that one big play.
That was interesting.
Get him into the mix, make it even more confusing.
I know.
For you guys with the Cincinnati backfield, and I know that I have Moss in the FPI, he did play.
on a higher percentage of snaps than did Brown, 55%.
He was in there for nine of 12 third downs,
and he played on two of three snaps inside the five.
It was just really lucky for you Brown owners that he got that touchdown
because otherwise there was nothing else happening on the ground.
But yeah, as for the birds, good to see Devante Smith getting that touchdowns,
a 45-yard bomb.
He really needed that.
And Philly's got a nice, easy stretch coming up.
If you can go out and trade for Brown or
Smith. I don't know if you can get hurts at this point, but the schedule opens up really
nicely for Philly. It is good. So good win for them. Let's keep it rolling. You see the Will
Shipley? You see the Will Shipley touchdown that was called back? I know. He looks shot out of
that. I was nasty. That I thought it was Barkley for a second, for God's sakes. You know,
is that Barkley? Will Shipley's a rookie out of Clemson. He scores a touchdown in garbage time.
The Eagles are blowing him out. But it gets called back on a holding penalty. And I just felt so bad
for this kid. I'm like, oh, he's celebrating in the end zone. They're showing his parents and the
crowd. And they're like, nope, bring it back, buddy. Sorry. Awesome. Dude. No buys this week, John.
So, geez, Louise, you know, we got a grind here ahead of us. So we'll try to whip through these
and save your voice a little bit. Uh, incredible game today between the Ravens and the Browns.
The fighting James Winston's get a 29, 24 win over the Ravens. Everyone was like,
The Ravens are great.
They're going to challenge, you know, for the Super Bowl.
And they go into Cleveland and really take one on the chin.
How incredible is it, John, that James Winston can step into this offense that was doing nothing.
We wanted nothing to do with these receivers.
We wanted nothing to do with the running game.
All of a sudden, here comes famous, James, 3.34, three touchdowns.
All the receivers are in play now.
Tillman's scoring a pair of touchdowns.
You can use more.
You can use Judy.
It's incredible.
yeah yeah i think they also were inspired for due to the the passing of jim donovan the play by play
voice of the browns who of course was working with our friend my friend uh Nate zagura so that happened
just yesterday right yeah yeah so um this was certainly a good one um i was very into
nijoku and judy and their props and they did very well it was hey it was unbelievable to
see Elijah Moore get so involved.
So James really spreading the wealth here.
Then Tillman, you know, so
not sustainable
this kind of production, but this is what
you'll get. This is what we all thought.
So they should be a passing team.
It's kind of the strength here
of their offense. I believe they were
still down the left tackle.
So, yeah, one
game in. I felt bad
for not telling more people to start James,
but you never know. But he's
entrenched now, and this wins.
So he's not going to have to look over his shoulder for a while.
Yeah, so stock up on Cedric Tillman.
If he's still available on any waiver wires in your league,
I mean, folks, go out and get this kid.
He's going to be an every week starter, I think, in 12-team leagues
where you're starting three receivers.
If he's going to get nine, ten targets from James,
on the other side, you know, Derek Henry gets in the end zone,
kind of does what Derek Henry does.
But it was a weird game for Baltimore.
They only convert two-third down.
They can't really get anything going throughout the game.
We do get Zay Flowers for a buck 15, so that's nice.
Mark Andrews comes through with a touchdown.
But I was, John, I was pumping up Bateman all week.
The guy goes one for 28, has a ball bounce off his face that would have been like a 50-yard freaking play in the middle of the field.
Yeah.
In the sun, in the sun, though.
And this, it was.
It was.
But, you know, for fantasy, I guess you can look at,
at the Raven to go, well, the guys I'm starting
came through. I don't care if they lost the game, you know,
if you're not a fan of the team, because, you know, Flowers
does this thing. Henry scores for you.
And, you know, Lamar has
289 and two scores.
And also runs for damn near 50 yards.
So for fantasy, it's fine.
Well, you know, good for you, Ravens.
Yeah, and I'm
certainly, and I certainly
wrote that, you know,
we fully expecting the win. I think I probably
curse to myself or curse myself
by assuming, and I,
I didn't put connect the Jim Donovan thing honestly.
I was just too busy this weekend, unfortunately, to kind of connect the two.
Divisional opponent, too.
So you never know that throughout the records.
But I did like say Flowers a lot.
We won that, won that prop.
And look, I thought they would, again, win the game or at least have the lead for more, you know, than they did.
They got beaten time of possession.
So Henry only got 11 carries.
Pretty efficient.
6.6 yards of carry.
So, you know, I did lose that one there.
So kind of indicative of the week.
You win some, you lose some.
But, you know, I guess in this game prop-wise,
I actually went 3 in 1, which is pretty good.
I saw a real interesting nugget from my palan,
Nathan Yankee over at PFF.
He was talking about Mark Andrews.
And Mark Andrews scores again.
So it's kind of like people are going to look,
oh, Mark Andrews is back.
you know, he goes five for 36 and a score.
And he said something to the effect of Mark Andrews plays predominantly in their 11 and 12 personnel.
But today, the Ravens were behind nearly the entire game.
So they didn't get to play their 21 and 22 personnel, which they do a majority of the time when they're winning, which, you know, they're five and three now.
So they're winning a lot.
Maybe that has something to do with Andrews being on the field a little more, but, you know, they're still getting.
getting Charlie Kohler involved and they got Isaiah likely catching four balls out there.
So I don't know.
Do you think this Andrews thing is sticky or it's just he happened to be the guy that caught
the touchdown today?
I think, you know, the first points you made that maybe the role has been diminished,
a little bit is probably true.
You know, it's kind of like we were talking about last week, how everyone's kind of
carve it out this little role and likely still involved and the way the way it's working out it's you know
Andrews is not as active but I mean I you know I still I had him as a guy to trade for about a month ago I'm
like look he's still Mark Andrews and we we used our ass to guide us basically uh he still had a good
ass average separation score so yeah I think it is what it is like you know
He's also had a number of health issues.
He's not a young player.
So in some ways, you could see, you know, just pull back a little bit because they've got other good tight ends.
Pull back a little bit, be a little bit more diverse, you know, year 11, and, you know, maybe extend the career a little bit.
I mean, he is still Mark Andrews.
He is still moving well, and Lamar still trusts him big time.
When we come back on the other side, my number one defense to target in my streaming article over at fantasypoints.com came through in a big way.
Stick and stay right here.
We'll talk about it on the other side.
It's the fantasy points podcast.
All right, welcome back in.
John, you guys have me write this article every week about streaming defenses and I love doing it.
And then this is so simple.
What I do, the first defense I try to find is whoever is playing the Tennessee Titan.
because it's a layup, okay?
And I went over this week and I go, oh, look at this, the Detroit Lions.
And they were owned in like 20% of Yahoo Leagues.
It was a total joke.
And heaven forbid, the defense is scoring, special teams is scoring.
They're getting four turnovers.
It's so simple, folks.
Just target anyone against Tennessee.
So the Lions just roll in a laugh for 52 to 14.
A bit of a weird game, though, because, you know, a lot of short fields for Detroit.
and you're getting turnovers left and right
and you got guys returning punts for touchdowns,
but the running game comes through for Detroit,
Jemir Gibbs, 11 for 127 and one, John.
I'm going to say this right now.
Jamir Gibbs next year is going to be in conversation
for a top five pick and fantasy.
Oh, for sure, absolutely.
He was one of the flawless four, by the way.
The Jonathan Taylor absence notwithstanding,
he certainly did well.
well today um the flawless four by the way are quite pretty flawless
a good call by you um you know breese bejean gibbs and taylor uh nice to see
leporta back i've only been screaming trade for leporta uh for weeks but this is this was a little
fluky i mean really uman ra i was i had a i had a some people visiting uh last night and
watching the games and the one person played the Amman Ra under.
I mean, you want to talk about a win?
Amman Ra got seven yards.
Seven.
He did score.
Yeah, I know.
Yeah, sure.
Yeah, we figured we were going to run all over them,
but it's weird.
They just didn't run off a lot of plays.
The Titans just kept on running the ball with Tony Pollard,
who ran for freaking 94 yards.
would have never have guessed that.
And then how about Calvin Ridley?
I was actually going there two weeks ago in the trade article.
I'm like, you know what?
It can't get any worse than this.
They're going to pull a plug on Levis in some way.
And they're paying them a lot of money.
And, you know, hey, it's been brutal,
but he was freaking all over the place in this game.
15 targets, 10 grabs.
He had 100 yards, I think, in the first quarter.
He ended with 143.
Hey, we do that every week for now.
I know.
We'll see what happens.
We talked up that guy, Nick Westbrook-a-Kine.
We mentioned him on the last podcast.
He gets in the end zone.
You did.
Hey, we'll take it.
Wins a win.
If you had him in a super deep skank league, which I definitely do.
How about this stat line for Jared Gough?
12 of 15 for 85 yards and three touchdowns.
That's incredible.
Yeah.
That's like a Jerome.
Betis quarterback line.
If Jerome Bettis was ever...
Some weird lines.
Yeah.
Because it's like, we know the running game is really good, but their defense has been
kind of good, like getting better and better.
Yeah, so it's just...
They can kill you in a number of ways, basically.
Today, you know, special teams and all that.
Brock wrong scoring, which was annoying until LaPorte got his.
uh yeah i mean golf is is a tough um projection basically i'm i'm been joking around like oh what do you think of
golf i'm like uh he'll go uh you know 17 to 20 you know what i mean which is a joke you know
20 a 10 i was kind of saying that about this game actually and he had 15 he was 12 of 15
uh but for 85 yards i mean come on but he's playing he's playing he's playing
lights out. Although the Titans
did get pressure on him early,
you know, and then
things got out of hand. They were fine.
But the Titans got a bunch of sacks. The first quarter.
Four sacks. Four sacks, yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. You know, if you're starting Pollard,
there was no spears today. So Pollard comes through for you,
you know, as you said, 20 for 94.
You know, he's a guy that you just keep
blowing out there every single week. He's going to give you
top 15 numbers.
Let's keep cruising here through to games.
Oh, boy, John, Indy in Houston.
Houston gets the win.
This was ugly, all right?
And Houston is six and two, but I remember earlier in the year,
you and I are talking and we're talking about these Texans.
And you mentioned, you said, listen, sometimes when things are too good to be true,
they just might be.
And you'll look at what's going on here in Houston with everyone was so into CJ Stroud
and all the receivers and Stroud 280.
in a touchdown.
It wasn't great.
Stefan Diggs might have blown out his ACL.
So now we're down Diggs,
Nico Collins for another couple games.
It's just,
it's tank Della clock,
I guess.
Who the hell else they're going to throw to on this team?
All that matters is Dalton Schultz hit the prop that I was promoting pretty
heavily.
But I'm kidding,
not kidding.
There was annoying saying Cade Stover catch a couple of balls.
Well,
yeah.
Yeah.
So we'll see about Diggs.
I would say trade for Nico Collins
because Nico Collins is a league
wrecker when he returns.
And then in super skank leagues,
don't forget about my guy,
John Mechie,
three grabs for 29.
John Taylor looked great.
I did say,
I believe on our podcast and everywhere,
maybe he needs a week to ramp up.
Maybe he's a little rusty butt.
He's a kind of a guy.
Like, he doesn't play unless he's good to go.
And he sure as hell looked good to go with this one.
He looked quick and fresh and awesome.
Yeah, 83% of the snaps for Johnny Taylor, you know, returning to the field.
So good to have him back out there.
But what I was shaking my head about when I saw this game next up on our schedule here was Anthony Richardson.
Now, this kid is a fantasy enigma.
Everybody in the draft process, John was like, we got to get Anthony Richardson on our team.
He's this dual threat guy.
He's going to break fantasy.
he can't throw the football today I mean this is ridiculous 10 for 32
just missed a couple of plays missed a few he was bad it was bad but yeah there was a
point he checked himself out of the game because he was winded I've never seen a
quarterback do that in the history of football it's just running around and go tap
the yourself on the helmet eh coach I need a break need a breather here
quarterbacks don't do that but you know it is what it is shout out to
guy Josh Downes. Your boy McNabb, your boy McDab would would throw up on the field.
Yes. He was hung over. He wasn't just tired. I mean, he was hung over and probably doing some
other things, but you know, it is what it is. You know, shout out Donnie McNabb. How about Josh
Downs? First time playing with Anthony Richardson at quarterback that he gets over six fantasy points
in the game. Golf clap to you. Josh Downs, nine or nine targets, four for 109 and a score.
but it's like we say all the time
you can't predict this offense
Michael Pittman's dead one for
16 nobody else is
doing anything out there it's
this is an ugly offense man I tweeted
out you can just drop Anthony Richardson
if you're in a one quarterback league there's no reason to
roster him yeah I mean
I prefer to hang on to him
but if it's hurting your starting
lineup and your your preparation
for whatever you're up against
yeah who would you rather have going forward
James or Anthony Richardson
James
I started Sam Darnold over him this week
And me too
It actually I think was the right call
Didn't Downs have another play
That was like just called a touchdown callback
It was either callback or they called
Oh no they called them like down at the one
Is what they did
But he also had a 69 yard touchdown
Yeah
That was the one where he raised up the left sideline
But he had another one where they called that.
On the right side.
Called him down.
So he could have a real big day for Josh Downs.
I don't think Richardson can support two receivers, though.
He can't support Downs and Pittman.
And he's always trying to throw a bomb to Alec Pierce at some point.
Yeah, it's random, man.
Too many.
And Mitchell was involved.
A.D. Mitchell today was involved.
So they literally had four wideouts get four or more targets, you know, plus the three back.
So, man, it's brutal.
It is. You want to talk brutal. Get ready for Malik Willis time. You remember brutal from a few weeks ago. Green Bay wins 30 to 27 over the Jaguars and maybe what could be Douggy Peterson's final game there. And the real story coming out of this, Jordan Love with a groin injury. There is heightened, you know, fear coming out of Lambo that this could be, you know, somewhat serious MRI coming on Monday. So after you guys listen to this podcast, keep checking.
Checking out Twitter.
I'm sure all the insiders will leak the information.
But Jordan Love, 196 yards, no touchdowns, throws an interception.
If he can't be in the lineup, John, hashtag yikes.
I'm not feeling it for any of these guys anymore.
You know, we love Reed, you know, Kraft Dobbs is coming on,
but you can't start these guys in any kind of confidence in Malik Willis.
Yeah, and here's the thing.
Green Bay has a buy.
in week 10.
So, and it's Detroit.
It's a big game, but they might have to roll with Malik.
You know, I think he might have a chance to run in that game, at least.
You know, Detroit's defense is pretty good, but they have also given up production.
But yeah, I would expect love to, I mean, hopefully it's just one damn game.
Just let's get through that and, you know, hopefully be around for the stretch run, which looks pretty good, by the way,
especially like weeks 13 14 15 16 Miami Detroit Seattle New Orleans got Minnesota in week 17
it's probably be all right there so yeah it's a real shame you know so yeah pull back big
time I did kind of warm up this summer to Josh Jacobs and it's boring it was boring but
all of a sudden now this injury not a coincidence that he had those rushing touchdowns today
because of the injury so yeah but it is a buzzkill
lost you know jaden reed prop would it have hit if love didn't get hurt i don't know hard to say
on the other side did get some things right here um brian thomas prop uh although
freaking evan ingram didn't hit it somehow it's so annoying when you do a tight end prop and the
freaking backup he hits the number so therefore indicating you were on the right track with a matchup
Freaking Brenton Strange.
Are you kidding me?
Five catches for 59.
That pissed me off.
But I did like Thomas and Lawrence.
Freaking Ingram.
Yeah.
I don't know if I'll ever play him again.
But I guess they hung in there.
Lawrence is coming on a little bit for fantasy, actually.
Yeah.
And the other story with his receivers,
three guys come up lame in this,
where Christian Kirk could have an issue,
I believe, with his shoulder.
they're talking about chest injury probably is going to be okay for
Brian Thomas and I believe it was
Gabe Davis. They've also left this game. So just monitor the status of these guys
as the week goes on. But how about my guy, Tank Bigsby? There has never
been anything in my life. I work in sales, folks, right? I've never
tried to sell anything harder in my life than selling Tank Bigsby this
week to my friends in some fantasy leagues. But it was
It was tough. Nobody wanted this guy because like, oh, you know, we're going to get ETN back.
He's taking the role.
Hank Bigsby today.
66% of the snaps, John, 18 carries.
How about this?
13 routes and three targets.
Like really kind of put Deerunis Johnson in the rear view.
And Deerunis Johnson had that ETN role.
So there's rumor out there that maybe ETN could be traded in the next week or two.
We'll see what happens there.
Wow.
Bigsby, you know, with 18 carries.
for 78 yards here today.
Look good.
Looked like a lead back.
You did.
Yeah.
Tank ain't skank.
So he's really coming to his own in year number two.
I mean, E.N.
Trade would be weird.
I mean, I don't know what the hell they're accomplishing other than maybe
stashed some picks.
What are you getting for ETS?
Depends how needy a team is.
Gore-brownder?
Say.
I don't even know.
I don't know.
Is it there an injury that pops up?
I mean, I always think Dallas.
I mean, they've got Delvin Cook, and we'll see how that experiment goes on Sunday Night Football.
But that's a team that could use them for sure.
So just keep an eye there.
Tank Biggs be looking better week by week.
How about the return of-
Dobbs is looking good in this game with Love, by the way, unfortunately.
Like, Dobbs would have gone for 100 if Love doesn't get hurt.
So that's a shame.
Yeah.
And Dobbs is a guy nobody ever wants to play, right?
But he's only the receiver that plays the most snaps of any Green Bay players.
It's like you should want to play Romeo Dobbs.
He's unsexy.
It's not fun, but three for 72 on an off day, you'll take that, you know, for your
I finally waived the white flag.
I finally waived the white flag this week.
I'm like, that's it.
I'm sorry for all the Christian Watson attention, although Watson was actually effective
today.
But, you know, at the day, it's freaking Dobbs.
He's number two behind Reed.
He might even, you know, some weeks he's won.
But yeah.
Well, we'll see about love.
But yeah, that was a buzzkill.
But at least we got some fantasy juice in this game a little bit.
And you talk about seasons within seasons.
This is kind of the season of, hey, offenses are figuring how to score points again.
Because we saw a bazillion touchdowns.
There was like 60 plus touchdowns.
The little counter on Red Zone was going up and up and up.
So a lot of points are happening.
And you'll notice, and you can't escape it because they mentioned every freaking 30 seconds,
that Sunday was national tight ends.
day however they made that up it to me it annoys me just because i get annoyed very easily with things
like that but every tight end went off in fantasy today everybody got a cheap touchdown and
tucker craft three for 78 and a touchdown and of course the two of guys on the other side
are rocking and rolling you know evan ingram gets into the end zone and breton strange gets
five for 59 so it'll be a theme for the rest of the show is that watching all these tight ends
speaking of tight end what real quick what's funny about that is you know all my tight ends i was like
all in on tight ends this week and in the props and i didn't even know it was freaking tight end week
it just was for me just was i just i just i was like omnipotent i was all i was already
celebrating it without even freaking knowing that it was tight end week yeah and one of the best
tight ends in the business, Trey McBride, at the time of our recording, it's tight end four on the week.
Nine for a hundred and twenty four yards.
Didn't get the end zone.
That's a little bit of a letdown, but hey, you're never going to cry.
You're tight end getting you a 21.4 in a PPR.
In America.
Big game for Trey McBride as the Cardinals walk off the dolphins.
Welcome back to us.
28 to 27.
in this one, it was nice to see Kyler get Marvin Harrison Jr.
involved.
We were lamenting that last week.
We're like, he's too small.
He can't get the ball to him.
Today they kind of forced it in his direction a little more.
Marvin Harrison comes through six for 111 and a touchdown.
Let me throw this at you, Guru.
Would this be a time if you're a Harrison owner?
Maybe you say, maybe I'll see what I can get for him on the trade market right now.
Could be.
And by the way, apologies, because, you know,
a lot of us thought that he would get shadow coverage from Jalen Ramsey.
And, you know, just doing our jobs and pointing that out, you know what I mean?
So I'm not sure where we had them projected in my rankings.
I certainly had them lower than usual for sure.
Let's see here.
Yeah, I was a little, I was, yeah, I had him just above Amari Cooper who didn't do crap today, right?
No, Cooper.
I had to look back and see if Cooper even played.
played yeah i i i called that one i knew that was coming but we'll get to that but i love mcbride
he was definitely one of my guys um i drafted him in the fpi great dude uh great player always open
just got a score but you know i like to see them string together multiple positive showings
to prove it's just not a week-to-week fluke um you know two look pretty good you know i almost played
a Tyreek prop but luckily I didn't.
A. Chan stepped
right back into that massive PPR
role. It's what I wrote in the trade
article like, hello,
I mean, through two games, he looked
like a league wrecker
in PPR because he's just piling
up the catches. So
you know, they did spread it around
a little bit, but they got to get the
Tyreek waddle thing going. Like
that needs to pop ASAP
because they're on freaking life
support already, it feels like. Yeah,
At two and five, we'll see what happens the rest of the way with Miami.
But as long as two was there, they're going to support the fantasy options.
You mentioned Devon A-chan, 10 for 97 on the ground.
And then as a receiver, he got to the end zone, eight targets, six for 50 as a receiver.
And they're scheming up things for him.
The touchdown that he had was a scheme play to him.
It was basically a screen pass from about 12 yards out that he scored on.
But how about Rahim Moster?
I freaking benched him in the King's Classic, this big league I drafted at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
And this is a 14-team league with three flexes.
And I somehow found a way to bench Rahim Mostert.
And he goes only for 19 yards, but he gets two touchdowns.
Oh, God.
Killer.
You know, it's funny.
Today on the live stream, we took a number of Tua or DAC questions.
And I did actually bring up, like, didn't?
Mostard have 18 rushing touchdowns last year and has none.
So he's due, basically.
And we'll see what DAC does, but we're recording this Sunday night,
but I did bring that up, actually.
But not that I would have rostered Rohi Moster.
I just, he's a pass for me, no matter why.
It's just dudes like this close to getting his AARP card for reals.
Miami next week in Orchard Park to take on Buffalo.
So it could be a little trouble there for the Finns.
All right, let's keep rocking in.
That's where Tua was concussed the first time, by the way, of course, right?
All right.
Let's see.
What game we're going to do next year?
Oh, boy.
Johnny, what are they going to be saying in New York tomorrow?
Aaron Rogers and the Jets lose to the Patriots.
It's bad.
The Patriots!
25, 22.
Jets fall to 2 and 6.
over, John. It's over for
New York. They trade for
Devante Adams. You bring in Aaron Rogers.
You got your AARP
left and right tackle out there.
You fire your coach a few weeks ago.
You're done. It's over.
I mean, what a
you know what I was singing around? You know what I was
singing around my house
yesterday afternoon? I was like,
start spreading the news.
You're losing today.
So that applies to the Jets.
Jets are going to jet.
That's just what they do.
But how about my guy,
conk daddy?
Just when you think he's dead.
He's like a night of the living dead out of the grave.
And he's scoring touchdowns.
Regression is real.
And that was always in the back of my mind.
Like this freaking guy's due.
I have no idea if he'll keep it up,
but I bet you Kong Daddy right now is top 12 tight end on the season.
Let's see, let me look it up real quick here.
Let's go on the season.
Let's take a look.
Let's take a look.
Tight end.
Do you have this weekend in?
I should.
We'll see.
He's close.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine.
He's like 14.
Okay.
All right.
That's fair.
All right.
He's there.
He's in it.
You know, there's a lot of guys had big fluky weeks, too.
You know, like Isaiah likely is ahead of him.
You know, he's only played like two good games the whole season.
Oh, yeah, that's true.
That's true.
Yeah, that's fair.
But I tell you what, it's like the last six.
Yeah, I did like Gary Wilson.
I thought Aaron would focus today on Wilson and Adams.
And he did.
But Adams, you know, didn't really produce as much.
But I did play the Wilson prop.
that that was an easy win.
That's all I had in that game.
Brice,
it's just a little disappointing.
I mean, it'd be nice to get the guy three grabs a game.
You know, Falcons can do it with Bejohn.
I won a Bejon prop today, too, or receiving.
But, you know, not that bad, but, you know, they lost.
So now it's just like, you know,
are things going to unravel completely?
Probably not.
But it's, it's a bad.
look for Rogers. He's going to have to suck it all up here and take it like a man, basically,
in the biggest media market in America. Right. I mean, why did you even trade for
Devante Adams at this point? It's, well, it's frustrating. But I mentioned before when Adams came
over, this is going to help Garrett Wilson, because Garrett Wilson, before Adam showed up,
it's just double coverage being rolled to his side all day long. And now that there's an
actual threat opposite Garrett Wilson in Devante Adams.
He's open all the time.
It goes five for 113.
So if you want to be aggressive and bet on a loser,
maybe you go out and try to get Garrett Wilson here down the stretch.
But I have this thought, John.
I'm sure you would agree with this.
If you're trading for players for a championship run in fantasy,
I want them to be on good teams, good offenses, good quarterbacks.
I don't want to acquire players on two and six teams.
You know, like, because it's too volatile.
They're a bad team.
They can be in real bad game script.
The quarterback play could be shitty.
Like, I want to get guys that are on good teams.
Does that make sense?
Yeah.
Yeah, like Amon Ra or skinny Batman or even now Puka.
Mm-hmm.
Or even at this point now, our guy Ladd-McConkey.
Because he's a good lad.
That's all I think of every time he freaking scores is you go,
he's a good laddie i see him running down the sideline for a touchdown uh and it was who knows if
it was was gonna hit but this freaking douglas prop killed me because it was drake may you know
unlocking him a little bit downfield um they play you know a good amount of man and he's good
against man may said he was his man against man so i like that prop it was like 40 yards i'm like
They'll probably be playing from behind.
But, yeah, it sucks when you're, when, when there is a quarter, when your quarter,
the quarterback that you think is going to be the quarterback for the whole damn game goes down in the first half.
I mean, it's tough on a receiving prop.
Like, it died.
That one there died.
Not that anybody is trying to play these Patriot receivers out here.
But concussion for Drake May.
We'll see if you can clear the protocol.
Usually in the situation, guys miss a game.
So we could be looking at Jacoby.
set next week.
Booty's coming on a little bit, though.
Booty's coming on.
Yeah.
You know, Booty's making plays.
It should have scored a touchdown, to be honest.
Booty had one right at the goal line.
Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
And I thought he got in. They ruled him down at like the one inch line.
That could have, you know, made a day for Kishon Booty and Ramandre.
He's got some ballerism. He's got some serious ballerism in him.
The yardage isn't there for Ramandre, but he gets in the end zone twice.
So we'll take that.
and he catches three balls.
Should I stay if you had to start Ramandre?
Not bad, not bad.
Hanging in there.
Well, we're going to hang in there on the other side of the break.
We got to see how Baker Mayfield fared with all his receivers being out.
Who came through for Baker Mayfield this week?
Was it National Tight End Day down there in Tampa?
Well, we'll find out.
Stick in Sarah here.
It's a fantasy points podcast.

We'd love to talk, business.
All right, John, we're back, and everybody wanted to know
who's going to be the guy in Tampa.
Mike Evans, he's out for
at least a month. Godwin, his ankles
point the wrong way. He's done for the year.
Would it be Jalen McMillan we spent
all the fab on? It was Sterling
Shepard, who was Baker's college
buddy, or Trey Palmer,
who came in and played a lot of slot.
Well, in this game,
Shepard played 60% of the
slot. McMillan, 33%.
Jalen McMillan
got in 9.2 points
in a PPR, so I guess you'll take that. But
The real winner, and we said it here last week, is Kate Otton.
Kdaun, 29 points in a PPR today.
Holy smokes, John.
Like nine for 81 and two scores.
Are you kidding me?
For brevity's sake, couldn't we just call him cotton?
Was that acceptable?
Yo, what's up, Cotton?
I mean, if I knew Kate Otten, I'd have to call him cotton.
I mean, come on.
Come on.
I mean, come on.
Yeah, no, we saw that coming a mile away.
They are spreading it around otherwise, though.
Rashad White, though, is still bringing it hanging in there, even though
freaking Bucky Irving looks incredible and looks great in the passing game.
You know, that was my thought.
Like, they're going to kind of center this offense around Bucky Irving, Rashad White,
Otten, and then Evans, you know, when he returns.
But yeah, it's those, like, that's kind of like, that's kind of,
like foundational pieces here. Like the running
backs are a little bit more important in the
offense. Of course, you've got to get the ball to Otten
at this point. He's like a baby
gronk out there.
But, you know, Baker still got
it done though. Throwing some picks,
but he's still got it done without
Evans and Godwin. So that
is a testament to
the offense and the system
and everything there. So it's good.
That's what I wanted to ask you about
is if you were rolling with
Baker Mayfield as your QB
you know after those injuries you're like oh my god i got to go find another quarterback there's no way
baker can get it done but you know hey 3 30 and three touchdowns okay he throws two picks but
that's probably to be expected i just wonder going forward you know these weeks that are without
mike evans it's tough because these guys can't really win they're not playmakers you know
they're kind of just ancillary pieces so it's going to be hard for them to win games but
it seems like they're always in a shootout they're always moving the ball so
You can lean out.
Defense, their own defense.
Their run D is good, but their secondary is it.
Now, to your point, they've got KC and San Friend in their next two, then a buy.
So I don't know if we even get Mike Evans until after that buy.
So, yeah, it couldn't be a little rough.
But, yeah, a lot of it is a function of volume.
But the schedule does lighten up a little bit here after that buy.
Giants, Panthers, Raiders, Chargers, Cowboys, Panthers.
Pretty good.
A lot of good nuggets to dig into.
here with the Falcons that moved to
five and three. All right, let's start with
Bijan in the backfield. So
Bijan only out
touches Tyler
Al Jir by one rushing attempt, 13
to 12. So they're still splitting the
backfield a ton, but
they're getting Bejohn involved a ton
in the past game. Caught all
six targets for 37 yards
and a touchdown that way. I
guess we can live with him not
having that, you know,
bel cow roll John in the backfield.
They're going to keep this involved as a receiver.
Oh, for sure, for sure.
You know, Tampa's D is pretty good.
You know, they stopped him early.
But, you know, he kept bringing it and ripped off a couple of nice ones.
Then did yeomen's work in the passing game.
So we're good.
You know, London leaves the game early.
My guy, Mooney, always open.
I mean, he's bawling out there.
Kyle Pitts, they've unlocked them.
this is it, baby, we did it.
You know, we stuck and we stayed.
At least I did.
I was in on every one of these guys, and they're crushing right now.
Yeah, Kyle Pitts.
Let's see.
This is my buddy, Dwayne McFarlane had this.
16.1 points per game over his last three outings with an 18% target share for Kyle Pitts.
So that's great to see you with Kyle Pitts.
If you're waiting on him and waiting on him, he's finally coming through for you.
And that's, I think, a function of Kirkie.
You know, you've got a real quarterback there.
Someone who can spread the ball around.
He can find the soft spots in zones.
And, you know, because I don't think Pence is a great receiver by any of me.
He's just an athlete out there playing.
But people are a little too reactionary.
People are a little too reactionary.
I mean, I guess people weren't into that into Pitts.
Mm-hmm.
Right?
No.
They weren't that into Mooney.
They weren't that into Mooney.
Nobody was into Mooney.
I was.
They weren't in a Kierke.
I was in a Kierke.
What was London?
London was, he was up there.
People were taking London second, third round.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Dude, I drafted Mooney.
I guess I were into Bejohn, too.
He starts for me.
He was my wide receiver three on draft day.
I remember sitting next to Jeff Radcliffe.
And he's like, buddy, you need another wide receiver here.
And I'm like, I got Mooney.
Mooney, he'll be fine.
Sum it down.
Sum it down now.
Look at Mooney's.
chicken ass out there. Five for 92 and a score for a guy there. Let's keep cruising along here.
This was an odd game in Los Angeles Chargers defeat the New Orleans Saints 26 to 8.
It started with a safety for the Saints that they, you know, they're a punt that went out of the end zone.
And then, you know, we get field goals. This was a very, very odd game. But our boy, Ladd McConkey comes through 60-yard touchdown pass from Justin Herbert.
and like it seems like we're turning a bit of a corner here, John, with his Chargers team.
Yeah, yeah.
They're going to let Herbert throw the ball.
You've got this Ferrari in the garage, like let it out once in a while.
Yeah, absolutely.
Ladd looked great.
I mean, this is the guy we thought he was.
Like, I couldn't have been more complimentary.
I actually thought he was a little pricey.
And I wasn't that into him as a pick, but I gave that guy all kinds of support.
And I did have him as a guy to trade for a couple of weeks ago.
It's just hard to totally trust it.
You know, if I knew Herbert was going to throw 30 times every week, I'd be in
because he's been their number one receiver.
I mean, he really has been like a poor man's Cooper Cup.
I did like Josh Palmer this summer as a late pick.
He's kind of starting to come on.
And then Will Disley, man, is kind of legit.
I kind of like Will Disley.
I mentioned earlier in the show how I benched Mostert in that three flex
I benched him for Will Disley.
Oh, okay.
I like Will Disley, man.
He's looking good.
Yeah, I mean, he wasn't at zero.
He got me five for 41 today, but he didn't score two touchdowns.
It's not bad, though.
Dobbin scores again.
He's the foundation of this offense.
It's let's run the ball with Dobbins.
He's not great.
3.4 yards of carry, but.
Yeah, they're starting to move it around here.
For the San Sanite, I mean,
this is kind of a lost team without Derek Carr.
They've now lost six straight games.
They removed Spencer Rattler at one point in this game and went to Jake Hainer.
So it's just, you know, what can you do?
Alave left after he had multiple concussion.
They checked them a few times, I believe, in the game.
But there's nothing going on here, John.
They can't get out of their own way.
It's just an ugly, ugly offense.
Yeah, and Rattler is terrible.
He stinks.
I mean, this guy could have played 30 years in college, he would still stink.
So he's not the answer.
So they should stick with Hainer, I hope.
But, I mean, I believe Derek Carl will be back for their next game.
But, you know, Camara is still hanging in there, man.
Hanging the F in there.
And they did just pay him, like extend his contract or whatever.
That made no sense either.
Yeah.
It might be a time.
I know they're bad, but they're going to get healthier.
And if they start getting a couple of the linemen back, which they're starting to do,
and you get Carr back next week, maybe you can go get a Lave or Kamara below market value in a trade this week.
You know, they're still scoring points for you because they're the only two guys on the whole offense,
but, you know, maybe it's worth a shot.
There's nobody else doing anything.
Bub means, remember him?
A couple weeks ago.
go wasn't our Thursday night special it's one target well he did he he did hit that prop
though so look at you did get that we actually did he got it he got it but yeah lave's the alpha man
like I wasn't expecting great things not a great matchup but good to see um yeah but and also the
point is the cavalry is on the way I think in in Derek Carr yeah he's a good bylaw still
even though he did go off today kind of a little bit.
Up in the Pacific Northwest, the Bills really throttled the Seahawks today without D.K. Metcalfe,
31 to 10, Josh Allen, 283 yards passing, two touchdowns.
And he threw his first interception on the season.
That was kind of a fun nugget people were throwing out there.
And he also ran for 25 yards today.
But really, for the Bills, this was all about James Cook, 111 yards rushing two touchdowns.
John. Remember people were like, oh, I think Ray Davis is going to have a role here.
Now, Ray Davis on the side of milk cartons right now. James Cook is the man in Buffalo.
Yeah, I had Cook high this week. It ate. And I also liked Ray Davis's prop, which did hit, barely, but it hit.
I thought they'd run all over them, which they kind of did with Cook.
Turned out it was probably those zone runs that were a little bit more effective. So they stayed with it.
They could have gone a little differently.
Had those zone runs not gone as well, they may have given Ray a little bit more early,
but as it was, he got stuff late.
How about my guy Shakir?
Damn.
I mean, I wish I ranked him higher this week, but I think he's kind of back to where it's like,
you know what?
One thing, the glue that holds this pass a game together is Khalil Shakir.
Nine for 107 for Shakir.
Kian Coleman still looks good out there.
I'll take this one as an L.
I said this week, I even wrote it in an article, I'm like, listen, Coleman got all those targets when Amari Cooper was off the field.
They brought Cooper in. He's going to take this job, blah, blah, blah.
Where the hell was Amari Cooper?
Like one target for three, or one reception for three yards?
Like, you traded for this guy?
I mean, is it taking this long to kind of get him acclimated?
I don't know.
I didn't see him get injured or anything.
I think that's a matchup thing.
Seattle had been bad against tight ends.
so i liked uh chikir or uh kincaid and some of that was picked up by shakir i think they got reek woolen back
at corner and and they're pretty good uh on the outside there so you know last week was a little fluky
you know he only had a couple days of practice so i had it all i did get that one right you know i
didn't i was like eh i'm not really feeling that one there um but yeah pretty good game of calls
because I had
I had cook looking good in Davis
I didn't have Shakir
I had Kincaid
over on the other side I was in on
JSN what won that prop
I did lose a fant one which is
dumb I thought oh wrong holiday
it's Halloween not not
Fantaclaus time but it was a good matchup
and yeah Gino
only threw it 29 times he came close by the way
very close to the prop but didn't
hit that. But, you know, big story there was Lockett in a bed shitting. I mean, sorry, bed soiling,
my bed. One for nine in this one. Wow. With no D.K. Seattle only converted one third down on the day.
Their offense just couldn't get out of its own way. It was rainy. The ball was sliding all over
to place. There was a play where the ball was snapped at a shotgun. It goes over Gino Smith's head.
Ken Walker picks it up. And then he's about 25.
yards behind the line of scrimmage he could have just like thrown it out of bound then he takes a 25
yard loss it just crushes his whole day ken walker finishes with 12 yards rushing today just total
non-factor the bills just at least you got the catchers though you got the catches at least yeah yeah he goes
four for four for 33 better days or ahead uh for ken walker maybe a guy he just send it off route he's an
incredible talent here tried to buy ken walker on the cheap he really is you know
And real quick, Mr. Bad Weather, speaking of bad weather, like Tyler Lockett does nothing.
One grab for nine, you know, all that.
What's Shakir?
I'll just catch nine balls for 106, 107.
So he's like a bad weather guy, you know, like does everything 10 yards and in kind of, you know, is A dot.
Although he can, he can run, you know, a little bit.
He can get out there, but he does kind of strike as a good bad weather player.
Which is good.
because they're from Buffalo.
It's about ready to get bad.
Yeah.
All the leaves are falling in my yard now here in upstate New York.
And every time I look out, there's just more and more leaves on my pool cover.
And nothing drives me crazier, John, than leaves on this goddamn pool cover.
I actually bought a net to go over the pool cover so that then I can then lift the leaves off.
And they won't be on the net all winter.
It's the bane of my existence.
You have no idea the nightmare that these leaves are of this pool.
but that's for another podcast.
Well, this is my first fall, this is my first fall not seeing fall foliage or whatever, you know, and leaves.
Like, I don't really notice anything.
It's still summer to me, honestly.
I feel like it's still summer at the beach.
You bastard.
Get out there and play 18 holes every day.
Let's roll over here.
Denver played the Carolina Panthers and a game that was.
Oh, really?
I didn't recommend
I did not know that
and don't recommend anybody watching this game
and I really don't recommend
you know, Javante
what the hell happened here John?
It's 17 carries 44 yards
come on Javante where you had buddy
it's just what the hell man
I actually had him as a player
to trade last week I'm like you know what
love him but
I don't love him like I used to
because he's not as good as he used to be
he's still not I don't think he is
I think he's gotten back.
I think he's 90%.
But that 10% matters.
You know, I don't know.
I can't really put my finger on.
I mean, they have committed to him more than anything else.
Like last five or the last six games, you know, with a good number of carries and
carry share and all that.
But, well, the only good thing is estimated and do crap.
So maybe just some weird anomaly that we just chalk up the football.
They just oddly enough could not.
run against
Carolina who everyone else
has run on. So they said the hell with it.
We'll throw on you with Bo Nix.
Bo Nix goes for 284
and three touchdowns today.
A hundred yards for Cortland
Sutton. He's really the only guy you can kind of
count on. All over the place.
Yeah. You can count on Cortland Sutton.
Everybody else out here, you know,
the little Jordan Humphreys
at a world and Devon Vellet.
It's tough. You can't
count any of these guys.
and you know
Carolina
even if you were thinking
oh oh oh a little Troy Franklin
he's coming on no
one one grab for six
yeah I know
Xavier Leggett did score in this game
and they're trying to get him going
I guess is as their alpha
right now with Deontay Johnson
out and who knows there's rumors that Deontay could get traded
Adam Thielen could be
theoretically coming back soon
They should train him too, be honest.
I would look and look at it.
I would look at it.
Look out if he's on your waiver wire and this cocker kid.
Bryce Young, Price Young looked pretty good.
Yeah, at some point it's got to come together for Brayshund.
He's too talented.
I know he's like four foot seven out there,
but the guy did win the Heisman.
He can play football at a high level, I think.
So this could be a team in the second half of the year.
They're not going to win a bunch of games.
That's not going to be the thing.
But I think we could get some functionality in this offense.
And we'll see if Jonathan Brooks ever comes back.
But right now it's still the Chuba Hubbard show, John.
He doesn't do anything.
I didn't tell people to start Chuba this week.
Only 56 yards on the ground caught two balls.
But that's what you get.
Denver's a really good defense.
Yeah.
Yeah, again, I would look at Legat, you know,
and we'll see what happens with Deonté.
It was kind of giving them some love earlier in the year.
Yeah, and there's no one else here that you can, by the way,
so much for Gertavian Sanders in that two-game run he had.
I know.
That's over.
I was talking about picking him up.
Glad I didn't.
Yeah, Tommy Trembled back.
We'll say about Coker.
It's about Coker.
Yeah.
I think I'm not a Coke guy, you know.
But maybe a little.
grow on me.
My wife goes crazy.
Whenever we go to a restaurant and I'm a soda guy, right, John, so I like to get soda and
she hates it and she hates it because the kids want to order soda and whenever the
waitress will come out of the table, she'll say, hey, what would you like to drink?
My wife always water with lemon, tell the kids to get water with lemon.
They get to me.
I go, my line is the same everywhere I go.
Coke, Pepsi, whatever you got.
Right?
And they're like, is Coke okay?
Is Pepsi okay?
I don't care.
Whatever coal you have, I will take.
it. I actually like Pepsi
more, but it's just when you go
out, you're going to get Coke probably
9 out of 10 times. But are you a soda guy?
I'm an I'm an R.C. guy.
Ooh.
Not
I guess I'm not
because like I would say soda is like
one of the only vices I haven't
dominated. So I've managed to
avoid soda basically.
But I like soda.
I actually am a Coke guy.
I lied.
I was actually talking about cocaine,
but that's neither here nor there.
Trying to keep it family friendly here.
I do have a very interesting story that I'll tell real quick,
even though my voice is shot.
When I was, I think 12 years old, 11 years old,
I was sick and blow my nose a lot.
One time I get this really bad nose bleed, like really bad.
And we could not stop it from bleeding.
Like it for like hours and hours and hours and hours.
And finally we're like, well, we got to go to the freaking hospital here because I'm going to die.
You know, it's going to lose all my blood, basically.
So I get there and they're like, well, we have to quarterize your nose,
which is like literally burning the flesh in your nose.
And they gave me liquid cocaine to numb it.
This doctor's office is the best.
I don't know why they would do it, but afterward, it worked.
I mean, I didn't feel a damn thing.
But afterward, they gave me these pills, which in retrospect were downers, basically.
And long story short, like in retro, I kind of felt, I recalled how I felt later in life.
I'm like, okay.
I was freaking high basically during the thing interesting side note not to get personal but I could I've I was came of age in the 80s okay most people in the 80s try it out cocaine sure most you know if you were like on the scene like you know going to a bar whatever pretty much most
Not this guy because it, it, I tried it once and I had a violently ill reaction to it.
So I literally, because I received it medicinally, could never use cocaine as a recreational device, if you will.
Isn't that weird?
Yeah, hey.
I was a frat guy in college.
I remember walking through our frat house one time.
And there was a, like, literally this glass table with a mountain of it on there.
And I was walking by the guys.
There's like eight dudes sitting around.
I'm just like, hey, guys, just remember a chapter meeting in 10 minutes.
All right.
I'll see you there.
Bye.
Just keep walking through like you've seen it a million times.
Yeah, yeah.
Even bigger in the 80s, like it was freaking everywhere.
It was annoying.
It was annoying.
This is quite the segue here, but I'm sure you could find some of that in Las Vegas.
Next week, tune in for heroin talk here on the Fantasy Plus podcast.
With guest Artie Lang.
But if you go to Vegas, you could find a little fun out there.
and the Kansas City Chiefs found their seventh win,
2720 over the Raiders.
This was a fight, though, John.
These two teams don't like each other.
They always play each other tough,
and the Chiefs get through the W here.
And it wasn't a huge day for Kareem Hunt,
but he gets in the end zone again,
and he's kind of the foundation of that run game,
21 carries.
He's going to keep carrying the load
until Pacheco can come back in a few weeks.
Big day for Travis Kelsey,
12 targets,
catches 10 for 9.
and a score.
Didn't see much out of Hopkins.
He only catches two balls for 29 in his debut.
But how do you think they're going to get him in the mix?
What do you expect from him kind of week to week going forward?
I still think that the old jujit rule basically from two years ago.
You know, they spread it around this week.
Kelsey Bogarted a lot of it.
Worthy.
You know, I think D. Hop will help worthy.
You know, there are still three.
throwing up to Noah Gray a little bit um you got got your Watson involved worthy was not
efficient but active with eight targets I would think like a few of those targets to worthy
we'll go to Dhop you know one from Watson so he had three today he should get six or seven
most weeks and he'll probably catch five most weeks not for a lot of yards but if he scores
you're good I think he I thought he almost had a chance to score in the game
It just, things so happened during the games.
There's so many damn games today, too.
Oh, I know.
It's bananas out there.
Really efficient game for Kansas City, too.
12 of 16 on third down.
Mahomes was really good.
262 through the air,
threw a couple of touchdown passes.
There's a lot of talk, John,
of people saying, like, wow, you could drop Mahomes,
bench Mahomes, like he's not worth starting.
Where do you fall on that in a redraft league
with Patrick Mahomes?
I actually wrote,
last week, I believe, and definitely wrote a week or two earlier. Like, yeah, I did write it last
way. I'm like, all right, guys, this is, this is effing ridiculous. Patrick, are you mean to tell me
that Patrick Mahomes is throwing 17 touchdowns this year? Because that's what he's on pace for.
Career average of 36.5. But this year, out of nowhere, we're getting 17. I'm like, no, we're not.
So, and I said this last week, he's going to account for 20,000.
touchdowns from here on out which means he's going to be pretty decent and we're off to a decent start
with the two tutties i think i said that today in the live stream is getting too uh so you know just
scratch and claw your way back and and you know this was a sign of um very good sign basically um
had you crap the bed again now we would have been like well now what i mean if we can't beat the raiders
now we're really screwed so it was a you know a step forward like the
to see it again. Raiders
on that's what the hell happened
of Brock Bowers for
the second and third quarter
because he opened the game with like three
for 39 I'm like oh he's going to hit the prop
and then nothing until the
very end and I missed it by two damn yards
very frustrating but
yeah it sucked
but the main reason
was the freaking guy that I've been saying
the trade for for two weeks Jacoby Myers
kind of balled out again
I mean what are you going to do?
Yeah, I tweeted about that too.
I said there are people are missing the boat in fantasy, not adding Jacoby Myers.
He scores this week, catches six balls for 52, and he's the wide receiver one.
I would say Bowers is the alpha on the outside, but Myers is the wide receiver one.
They can't run the football at all.
Alexander Madison averaged 1.1 yards of carry here.
Oh, God.
It's going to be Minchew just dropping back and throwing the football.
And maybe when they play a lesser defense because Kansas City is really good, they can have some bigger days.
So, you know, I would be trying to actively acquire Jacoby Myers if he wasn't already on my roster.
I mean, I didn't think Myers would do well today because the chiefs are tougher on the outside.
I thought he would see McDuffie and potential shadow coverage.
I don't know what they did.
But, you know, that was part of the Bowers analysis and still came two yards shy, but a loss, it sucked.
Final game of the day.
What a finish in the nation's capital.
Commanders, 1815 win over the Chicago Bears on a Jaden Daniels Hail Mary as time expired to Noah Brown.
And this was so ridiculous.
I actually had to tweet it out, John.
Before the play, Tony Romo on CBS goes, you know, Jim, I would sub in Marcus Mariotta here to make this throw.
they pay you $180 million for this analysis, Romo.
Are you kidding me?
And the next point, boom, it throws it and win the game.
Wow.
Well, you know what, Romo is stealing money.
And you know what?
God love them.
Was that CBS?
Yeah.
They're terrible over there.
The idiot suits over there, like, I'll rip them a new one right here.
I don't give a shit.
I mean, I've been around some of these people.
They're a bunch of dopes over there.
there. So you get what you pay for and you you pay for crap and you'll pay for it though.
Good, good, good. Good. You know, it's right. Piss.
When Romo first started, he was great. Everyone loved that he was, you know, calling out plays and watch out here.
They're going to, they're in this formation. They're going to run this plane. He was kind of calling.
Oh, yeah. But then after like the second, third year, you could tell he was mailing it in.
He's just out there on the golf course and he's like, whatever.
He's totally mailing it in. He's.
stealing money right now for from what I heard of the broadcast it it's maybe it's just me maybe it's
my imagination but usually it's not it's usually I'm really hyper focus on something and I really
feel it out you know like it's almost like awkwardly embarrassing like it's almost like you pulled
a man off the street yeah hey pal come do the game what do you want to do some color commentary
Bartender?
Mr. Bartender?
Get over here.
Yeah.
I mean, that's the kind of feel I have for it.
I'll say on the flip side of this conversation with Tom Brady,
who people have knocked for being bad his first few games,
I think Brady's improving and he's working at it.
And you can tell now he's a little more loose.
He's more into the game and he's getting more technical with the things that he's talking about,
talking like a quarterback.
Sure.
Kind of like an offensive mind out here.
And that's what he should do.
Brady's a great offensive mind.
That's what we want to hear.
You know, what are you scheming up?
And I know he can't go to any of the production meetings and all that nonsense.
But, yeah, I think Brady's improving.
Romo.
We'll see you on the golf course, buddy.
Great job.
Great job, buddy.
Jaden Daniels, we didn't even know he's going to play.
I ended up in a few leagues having to start someone else,
like a Sammy Darnold on Thursday night,
because I didn't think Daniel was going to play.
He ends up starting 326.
He gets the garbage touchdown at the end, which kind of saves his day,
still runs eight times for 52 yards here.
And he keeps his guy Terry McLaren involved.
Now, McLaren's never going to catch a high volume of balls, John.
But when he does, you know, he always catches a bomb.
He goes five for 125.
And it's just this commander's offense, they find a way to get it done.
and I think Daniels is just wrapping up rookie of the year today.
He teased Caleb Williams with it,
and he pulled it back and he pulled it back.
Give me that, you son of a bitch.
Yep, it's unbelievable.
And they're a very good team.
Like out of nowhere, and it's amazing what, you know,
Dan Campbell or Dan Campbell.
Dan Quinn.
What Dan Quinn and Jade and Daniels can do.
I loved Ertz today, too, and I probably,
I should have had to catch one in there, too.
was in on that big time uh he seems to be pretty easy to predict and McLaurin with the with the moon
shot yeah it was a beautiful deep ball they're amazing yeah i mean and you can't really use Echler
unless you know unless he did have seven for fifty two but you can't rely on that but you really
need the catches and god forbid it means so hard to predict when he'll have an environment
where they're playing from behind uh but on the other side man geez you got got to
to give credit to Dan Quinn and their defense.
It's like you want to talk about seasons within the season?
Season one, they were the worst past defense in the NFL.
Season two, I think they're the best.
Like what the hell?
They have not given up crap in a month.
So I thought it would be a good schematic matchup for Caleb and DJ Moore.
Now, Moore did get hurt.
Maybe he would have hit that prop if he played another whatever quarter.
but it was ugly did like the swift and here's another one first three four weeks we're like this
guy's an absolute dog i mean he's a dud he is a bum and now say oh wait what hold on
wait oh never mind he's a pro bowler sorry my bad dog i mean come on yeah he was a pro bowl
last year for the eagles i do remember that but yeah dandre's trouble like freaking
actually actually pro pro pro i mean
You and I are pro bowl.
Kaplan was an alternate in the Pro Bowl last year.
I saw him at the skills competition with the Jersey.
Caleb was a little off today.
He turned it on at the end of the game and got it going and put them in position to win.
Let's be honest, the Bears had every opportunity to win this game.
They tried giving it away late in the fourth quarter where they were handing the ball to a freaking offensive lineman who then fumbled it at the one-yard line.
But then they get the ball back and they punch it in with
Roshan Johnson, who does nothing on the day.
Like, again, give the ball to Swift again.
Why are we pulling Swift at the goal line?
Is he incapable of a one-yard run?
That drives me crazy.
I mean, you know, you got a buck 29 with a tutty.
You're good.
I'm greedy.
I need more.
I got to make up for all the points I didn't get from Rahe Moster.
And unfortunately, Caleb's bed.
crapping resulted in no one doing anything of note, unfortunately, except Swift.
DJ Moore, two for 27.
Keenan Allen, two for 39.
Keenan Allen's biggest play was a pass interference he drew in the end zone at the end of
the game.
Roma Dunzee, three from 41, commended nothing.
Moore got hurt.
Moore did get hurt, right?
So we'll see if I don't even know what it is, but all I know is he fell or got
jacked up. You see it? And then he
wasn't back. I was in it. I didn't see that.
I'm not sure. I'll have to
check that out. He got hurt. Preview pod on
Thursday. See how he's doing. He definitely got
hurt. That sucked. Yeah.
I know. My son and I watched that game. We're all
excited. We're like, yeah, the Eagles are going to be in first place.
And then, boop, balls tipped, and it
falls in the hands of Noah Brown. And the commanders
are six and two.
But hey, that's football.
And that's why we love it, because
you never know what's going to happen out here,
especially on national tight ends.
Well, John, we blew through that, man.
Good for us.
Nice and quick.
We kept your voice sort of intact, I guess.
I guess.
Sorry about that.
I know it probably sounds weird.
But we'll see if your gangis can make it a series.
You know what I mean?
We'll see.
We'll see if Otani plays.
It's a little boring yesterday.
It was a little boring yesterday, honestly.
I'll be honest.
I was not watching most of the game.
I was at a work event, drinking some dovel.
And it was a nice day because then I could drown all my sorrows and forget about, you know, watching Syracuse football earlier in the week or my fantasy teams and just pass out in a hotel somewhere in Rochester, New York.
But that's that's story for another day.
All right.
Well, for the guru, I'm Drake.
We'll see you next time on the Fantasy Points podcast.
