We break down every position with urgency and precision, highlighting the names that can save your season. At running back, the guys spotlight Emanuel Wilson, Sean Tucker, Bam Knight, and Chris Rodriguez as priority adds — all with paths to real late-season volume. Devin Singletary’s usage remains steady, while Kenneth Gainwell and Jaleel McLaughlin headline the “next man up” tier. For deeper leagues, Ollie Gordon and Bhayshul Tuten could emerge fast — especially if LeQuint Allen’s injury lingers. At wide receiver, it’s time to act before everyone else: Michael Wilson, Pat Bryant, and Jayden Higgins are flashing real chemistry with their quarterbacks, Xavier Legette is heating up, and Mack Hollins plus Darnell Mooney offer usable depth in Week 12’s heavy bye week. Andrei Iosivas gets a potential bump with Ja’Marr Chase’s looming suspension, while whispers of Tyrell Shavers make for a deep dynasty dart. Tight-end streamers AJ Barner and Brenton Strange round out the adds, and if you’re in a QB pinch, Kirk Cousins and Tyler Shough headline the streamer list with Bryce Young and Jacoby Brissett off the board. 🎧 Powered by Fantasy Points Premium — your one-stop edge for betting, DFS, and late-season domination. Week 12 waiver wire additions, the players you want to add on your fantasy team,
players you can put in your flex, players you want to stash.
Theo Greminger, Joe Dolan, and Tom Brawley,
right here on Fantasy Football Daily on the Fantasy Points Podcast Network.
Really, really strong waiver wire.
Like a lot of weeks, guys, we're not too excited.
to talk about the names, but we have a number of names that you can add this week and stick
right into your lineup. Four teams on by week and week 12. Only a few weeks left until the fantasy
football playoffs. Hope you saved a little bit of fab. And Joe Dolan, Emmanuel Wilson, might be the
most intriguing Waver Wire edition this week. Looks like he's going to be a plug and play for Josh
Jacobs. We're recording this on Monday morning. We don't have any like recent updates on Jacobs. But if
we're reading through the tea leaves, it sounds like he's going to miss at least this week
and potential to miss a little bit longer. They have said that it's not a season
ending injury, but they're going to be cautious with this one. It's a very important player
to them. Yeah, the Packers now, they were able to escape with a win, which would keep them
in the playoff picture and should still be in the NFC North picture with the Lions going
down on Sunday night football. Emmanuel Wilson played virtually every.
snap after Josh Jacobs went out. He played over 90% of the snaps after he went down.
Obviously, he was productive. He got in the end zone. He had a, he had a nine-yard reception.
He had been getting some work in the passing game a little bit earlier in the season.
But this is certainly somebody now, Theo, we've been mentioning it for weeks.
Most people don't have a lot of fab budget left. But whatever you have is probably worth it if you
need a running event, especially if you have Josh Jacobs. This is one of those. We were talking
last week about adding priority handcuffs and just dropping some of the dead weight from your
roster to add a priority backup. This is not one of the guys we mentioned. So he's probably
still out there in your league, unlike a Brian Robinson or somebody like that, unlike a Keaton
Mitchell who didn't exactly have a great game against the Browns, unlike Tank Bigsby. So this is
probably one of those guys who's still out there and it's somebody who's going to be plug and play.
You can probably play him for the next week or two until Josh Jacobs comes back. And Tom,
What's interesting is if we're projecting, even if there's any sort of like indecision with his week 13 availability, they're going to err on the side of caution because they play on Thanksgiving Day.
So you get the Sunday game against Minnesota and then you get the Detroit game at 1 o'clock on Thanksgiving Day.
So I think this is going to be at least two games of Emmanuel Wilson.
Like Joe said, this is a potential three down back and a team that really relies on using the running back.
your thoughts.
Yeah, I agree with you.
The Packers are usually one of the, I've been doing this for 10 plus years,
really focusing on the waiver wire.
And the Packers are definitely on the more conservative side with bringing back players
off of injury.
So I would not be surprised if he at least sits this week,
even if he's close to playing, maybe save him for that Thanksgiving Day game.
But even then, if he's not particularly close this week,
if he's not practicing, it could be at least a two-game absence.
And he's played well in his opportunities here, completely wiped out Chris Brooks, as Joe said, in the game in week 11.
He did not have much of a role.
So I would expect Wilson to get most of the work here, good off, you know, a better offense than most.
I was about to say a good offense, but they've been kind of going in the wrong direction in the last couple of weeks.
But Wilson has played well in his opportunity.
So this is a priority pickup for me.
and who knows, maybe this Jacobs injury stretches out
a little bit longer than this two-week window
that we're looking at right now.
Maybe it could last for multiple weeks
and you have a player who could be a pivotal piece
for you in the fantasy playoffs.
Yeah, and Wilson was never viewed as like one of the handcuffs.
He's not like a Tyler Algear type household name.
So he's actually available in a ton of leagues.
A player that's also going to be available in a good number of leagues,
far fewer than Emmanuel Wilson.
We have talked about
Sean Tucker now for about
three weeks, maybe four.
And Sean Tucker's been a player
we've been telling you to pick up.
He sort of out rushed Rashad White
for two consecutive weeks
leading into week 11.
And then in week 11,
Sean Tucker just exploded.
We talked about it last week.
It's sort of the Devon A-chan corollary
guys who can burst off big runs
usually have a little bit of a chance
against this defense.
Sean Tucker sort of proved it again.
And it was unbelievable, guys, second consecutive season that we've seen Sean Tucker put up a top two scoring.
Chris McCaffrey got him, but he got him by a point.
Sean Tucker finishes with 19 carries for 106 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
And then adds two catches for 34 yards and a touchdown.
Unbelievable performance.
This one's a little tricky.
Bucky Irving was back at Tampa Bay practice.
Looks like he's trending towards playing in week 12.
But I got to say, Tom, Sean Tucker, it's really hard to put this one back in the bag.
It feels like he's going to be a player you can stick in your flex, use potentially as your
RB2, even with Bucky Irving coming back.
Irving was 18 points per game, but maybe there's a little bit of a ramp up.
Maybe there's a little bit more caution with the amount of volume he'll take on after missing
this many weeks.
And again, the shoulder injury could have reaggravation issues with it.
your enthusiasm for Tucker this week if he's still out there.
Is he also a push-all-the-fab-in type guy for you?
I don't know if he's a push-in-all-the-fab guy.
Emmanuel Wilson is definitely at the top of the list,
but I would definitely spend a few bucks on him.
There's no guarantee that Bucky Irving is going to play this week.
He did practice a little bit last week,
but hasn't gotten a full practice in just yet.
It was a shoulder injury, foot injury.
We'll see how he handles a little bit of contact probably this week.
I'll be monitoring his practice reports to see if he does get up the full practices.
If he doesn't, we could have at least another game with Sean Tucker.
And maybe this performance in week 11, maybe they'll be a little bit more cautious with
Bucky Irving.
If they don't think he's close to 100%, they might want to sit him out for another week
and let Sean Tucker kind of do his thing again.
So I also do think he's probably past Rashad White here moving forward.
and he could get 8 to 10 carries in a given week with Bucky Irvin getting back.
And I don't think that there's going to be a ramp up period, as you said.
It's not going to be Bucky's out there for 80% of the snaps in week one when he's back.
So it could be maybe more of like a 65, 35 type of split.
Bucky getting the passing game work and Sean Tucker working more in the running game scenarios.
So I think he is worth an ad, but he's not quite to that tier of Emmanuel Wilson.
Joe, are you also on the Wilson over Tucker, if you have your choice between the two?
Yeah, and the question becomes, like Tom said, Sean Tucker, by the way, until yesterday,
his receiving production was, let's say, negligible.
He had a 28-yard reception for a touchdown against the bills.
He has seven catches for 30 yards on the season.
So he had six catches for two yards other than that.
So what is Sean Tucker's role if Bucky Irving is back?
You know, Bucky Irving, it's easy to forget because this, the, it's a what have you done
for me lately league, but he was one of the premier bell cows in fantasy football.
He was doing it on the ground and through the air.
Rashad White, they obviously trust with passing game work.
I am with Tom and saying, I'm impressed by what Sean Tucker has done.
I would like Sean Tucker to be my priority ad, but I just don't know how this backfield's
going to shake out.
Remember, when he had a game like this last year, he just, they just completely relegated
him to the bench for the rest of the season. So I think they're going to play him a little bit
more, but this is a, that would be the concern I have with Sean Tucker. Yeah, it's very interesting.
I do think if, if you can't get Wilson and Tucker's available, I think he's an unbelievable
consolation prize. I don't know. I'm going to take an optimistic approach with him. I had to
use him in a couple of lineups yesterday and it was like, okay, like found money. I might roll with
him again. It's, again, it's hard to put this one back in the bag. I understand last,
season, but last season you sort of had
Bucky Irving coming on
and Rashad White was like
the established guy. Now
you have the
Rashad White has just gotten outplayed by
him. He looks better. It's three straight
games about rushing him and
Bucky Irving could take away some of those targets
that were going to Rashad White the last
few weeks. So I'm very excited to add Sean Tucker
if I can't add Emmanuel Wilson.
Another player who had a huge,
huge week 11 and a big
win for the Pittsburgh Steelers,
Zach Taylor continues to lose games coming out of a bye week.
Cincinnati absolutely obliterated by Pittsburgh,
but you had another Kenneth Gainwell game,
and Gainwell did it almost exclusively as a receiver.
Seven catches for 81 yards and two touchdowns.
Every week on X, I put out the overall target leaders,
and Gainwell's quietly been inside the top 10
at the running back position like all season long.
The guy's been effectively catching the football each and every one,
week. He's had two six catch games and now a seven catch game. Also had nine carries for 24 yards,
scored 29 and a half points, which is actually his second highest weekly score. If we all remember,
he had that huge week four. We talked about him back in week five. He's been sort of a boring guy,
but now we see a handcuff, get the full workload, and excel. Jalen Warren, the ankle doesn't seem
serious. But how
enthusiastic are you about adding
Kenneth Gainwell? Start with you on this one
Tom. Yeah,
he's worth an ad.
I don't think we're
going to have a game missed here with Jalen Warren.
He was on the sidelines throughout
the second half after he picked up the ankle
injury and he looked ready to go back
in and then Pittsburgh had a
defensive score and it was a
multiple touchdown lead for them.
So they felt no reason to put
him out there. Actually, Caleb Johnson
and even got some carries.
But we've seen it twice already this season
when Warren has missed.
He's had a couple of monster games.
They'll get him involved in the passing game.
Caleb Johnson hasn't really pushed for a lot of work here
as a rookie, third round pick that they thought they were going to get more out of.
And he just hasn't done it up to this point.
And it's probably going to go down as a loss season for him.
So Gamewell is certainly worth a pick up here.
But he's, I view him as more of a, I'm sticking on my bench here.
if something does happen to Warren in these last couple of weeks,
I can plug them in.
Maybe if I'm in a 14 team or a 16 team league,
something real deep.
I can throw Gainwell out there in a PPR format.
And he's going to give me a couple of catches.
But we'll see if he's, I mean, it was great against the Bengals.
We've seen the Bengals bleed production to running backs and tight ends all season.
So I don't know if it's just going to translate moving forward here.
but we're also watching the Aaron Rogers injury as well.
So I do think Mason Rudolph is probably, you know,
one of these quarterbacks who will be pushing the ball a little bit more down the field
and maybe not checking it down as much to the running backs.
Yeah, I mean, he's clearly the behind Wilson, behind Tucker,
probably one that you want to let your teammates overpay for the production there.

One player I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on Joe is Bam Knight. Marie D. Merrick
exited with an ankle injury.
Trey Benson,
it's one of these players
where we don't have like
an exact clarity.
It's not like we're hearing
all these Arizona beat reporters
being like,
Trey Benson is going to be back
this week.
He's ready to go right now.
Like, it's a little bit of a mystery
when we're getting Trey Benson back.
Does BAM Knight become an appealing ad
now that this backfield just
no one can stay healthy.
Bam Knight, again, five carries,
24 yards, but he does score a touchdown.
and he has four catches.
Your thoughts on this backfield situation in Arizona.
Yeah, so the Demercata thing,
you were talking about the Cardinals off air.
You were talking about some of the DFS success you had.
Yeah, but if you played Amari DiMercato,
who was probably slated to have a huge game,
given that they were playing from behind the entire way,
he gets hurt, goes down.
Bam Knight comes in, and he also believe lost a,
oh, he did lose a long touchdown run to penalty.
that this is a guy who he's probably been on and off some rosters.
I absolutely should be rostered in every single league right now,
especially if, if Trey Benson cannot play.
Michael Carter on the roster, off the practice squad,
on the roster, off the practice squad.
He's obviously a guy for whatever reason they don't trust all that much.
So I would think, damn night, if Trey Benson doesn't play,
is absolutely going to be the lead back.
Yeah, Bam Knight's one of those players.
It's an ugly name to have on your roster.
if you're in like biweek hell, and again, we have four teams on by week this week.
Bam Knight becomes interesting.
We're going to talk about other Cardinals in a little bit.
Let's talk about the Washington backfield.
You woke up early.
You watched a 1613 Miami Dolphins Washington game, not the best game unless you were a Devon
A-chan manager.
But one interesting thing is Chris Rodriguez dominated the Washington backfield touches.
He had more rushing attempts than Jeremy McNichols and
Jacori Kroski Merritt combined.
He also caught a pass.
15 carries for 79 yards.
Your thoughts on Rodriguez, Tom.
Where are we out on this one?
Yeah, he's definitely the back to own in Washington right now.
If you're still holding on to Bill, Bill Kroski Merritt there, I think he's dropable at this
point.
They've kind of indicated the last two weeks that Rodriguez had moved into the lead rule.
They named him the captain before the week 10 game, but it got banged up early in that
game. And, you know, he left. But he was able to practice this past week and played. And we saw
him kind of take over the backfield. And he's, frankly, has run a little bit better than
Kroski Merritt has the last month or two of the season. So I don't think they're going to go away
from this. The problem is they're all, you know, Jeremy McNichols is still factoring in,
factoring in. Crossi Merritt is two. So it's a little bit of a headache here with three, three man
backfield. Rodriguez is also one of these guys. If they fall behind, he could get game scripted out
very easily. So you want to watch the situations where you plug him into a lineup. Last week was
perfect against the Dolphins. That game was probably going to stay pretty neutral so they were
able to feed him touches. But he could be game scripted out of any game that this bad commander's
team falls behind in. But it's pretty clear that he's the guy that's given this backfield the most
life over the last two games.
And he's actually scored a couple of touchdowns.
So they're on by this week.
So maybe this is one of those guys.
You can kind of sneak through waivers.
Maybe you're out of fab or so you don't maybe don't have to spend anything to get
him because he's on by.
People aren't necessarily looking at him.
But he could be a valuable piece for maybe a flex play later in the season in the
right matchup.
And Joe, you've talked about the value of roster.
handcuffs. You know, multiple times, multiple weeks. It's a great way to sort of fill the
back end of your roster, instant starters. And we mentioned the Miami-Washington game. Devon A. Chan,
21 carries 120 rushing yards. He also had five catches for 45 yards, just touching the
ball a ton. Do you have interest in adding Ollie Gordon just in case Devon A-chan breaks down,
down the stretch? Gordon looked good yesterday. Nine carries, 45-yard.
and a touchdown. He's a guy that we were like really excited about back in our preseason
waiver runs. It's taken a little while, but you're starting to see him flash a little bit.
Yeah, he's just one of those guys. You have them on the back end of your roster. And
obviously coming off a week like this, there were so many injuries and you might need somebody
to plug in into your lineup in a flex spot and just hope they get a touchdown. He is one of
those guys. But yeah, he's, I mean, Theo, you essentially said it. The analysis is he looks good.
he's clearly the top backup to Devon A. Chan and would be in line for a potential
bell cow role if Devon A. Chan were to go down. And it's just a matter of, are you guessing
right as to which guy you picked up? And that's Ali Gordon to me. And I think that if you're
a Devon A Chan manager and you have a team that's heading into the fantasy playoffs, make sure that
you prioritize Gordon this week. Miami's on a by week. So Gordon's not going to be a player that
most managers, some forward-thinking ones, but not ones that are in like need of points right now.
They're going to let him pass, and you can get your valuable handcuff in Ollie Gordon.
Let's mention Devin Singletary.
Anything to add here?
Score two touchdowns, Tom.
Yeah, he's the guy that's getting a lot of the goal line work here over Tyrone Tracy.
So at the very least, he's going to get those opportunities.
I do think Tracy is still ahead of him.
I'd be very scared to use Singletary in any given week, but they're kind of using this hot hand approach.
If Tracy gets off to a slow start, it could be a Singletary week at any point.
but the same is true.
If Singletary plays poorly in the early in the game,
it could be a lot of Tracy.
So you're hoping for touchdowns
if you're plugging Devin Singletary into a lineup.
You're hoping that he continues to see
those opportunities near the goal line.
Now another player that's heading on to Buy Week this week
and again will be free in most leagues.
Is there any chance that we see a Sean Payton rugpole
during the by week here?
R.J. Harvey had 14 touches. Jaliel McLaughlin had seven of them. We heard the reports on Sunday morning on Saturday.
The McLaughlin was going to see, you know, his share of this backfield. Denver gets a huge sort of program win to steal a college football term over Kansas City. Massive, massive win for the Broncos. I'd say maybe the biggest win since Sean Peyton took over there, guys. Broncos are nine and two. They head to their by week. We're going to talk a little bit about Broncos.
Rocco's receivers a little bit later.
Joe, is there any interest in McLaughlin here?
Are you just going to let him pass?
Sean Dayton cannot help himself.
I mean, it's not like RJ Harvey came out
and with the world on fire in that game.
But I mean, on the opening drive,
I think with Lockland had more work than RJ Harvey.
And I let out on the on the game day show on series XM,
like a full on belly laugh when I saw that.
I'm just like, oh, freaking course.
The guy's been inactive all year.
And he's going to come in and he's going to get more work than,
than R.J. Harvey, it's, it's a deep league only type of guy. Like, relying on Sean
Peyton backfield decisions is just, it's not necessarily the business I want to be in if it's
a guy who's been inactive all year. Joe, do you, Joe, do you think he's calling Latavius Murray
and trying to get him out of retirement this week? Like, Mike Bell. Get Mike Bell out there.
Pierre Thomas is probably in shape, too. So, like, we'll just have all those guys get in work. So,
So, yeah, Jolio McLaugh, but it's not really, Theo, I got to be honest.
It's so funny that you mentioned that one because, like, how different would the narrative be this morning for R.J. Harvey, if he would have just gotten the short touchdown, everyone would have been so excited.
I'll say the one, like, silver lining for R.J. Harvey, wasn't good running the ball, but Kansas City, we always knew this was going to be a difficult matchup.
I do think that it's a positive that Tyler Badee was not worked in where the, I think that the nightmare scenario would have.
been Harvey's not used in the passing game. They work in bidet, and it's like they split the
carries. So Harvey gets three catches for 20 yards. I think the buy week's going to be another
week for Harvey to sort of ramp up and lead the backfield. But if I have RJ Harvey, I'm adding
Jal McLaughlin, so I have my handcuff. I'm rostering handcuffs this time of year, especially if
I like my team. And guys, one backfield that's an interesting one, if you're listening to this and you're
in a deep format.
Basial Tutin's been rostered all season long.
But if you're in a shallow league,
he's out there in a number of leagues.
Had a huge game.
Jacksonville smokes the LA Chargers.
Tom, how to handle this backfield?
Your enthusiasm levels for Tutin
if he's available. Yeah, I'd be picking
him up. He did pick up that ankle injury
and didn't return.
He picked it up in the fourth quarter.
But it was also a blowout.
So it could have been like the Jalen
Warren situation where
If it was a closer game, maybe he comes back in, but that's information we'll get later this week.
But I'd still want to own him moving forward.
There was definitely a shift towards, you know, splitting the carries a little bit more.
This wasn't just the Jaguars leading by multiple touchdowns and we're going to get Tootin work late in the game.
It was pretty evenly split throughout and Tootin was pretty darn impressive.
So this is a guy we want to own.
And he's probably going to still need ETN to miss time for us to really feel great about plugging him into a lineup.
But the split between these two backs definitely shrunk a little bit in week 11.
And let's add this in.
If the ankle does turn out to be anything for Bachel Tootin, and again, we're recording this early Monday morning, should deep league managers be adding LeQuint Allen?
Yeah, absolutely.
I mean, he'll be kind of the second back there.
if Tootin is going to miss multiple weeks.
Alan has been kind of working in in the passing game anyway.
So I would expect his carries to ramp up a little bit.
And I don't think he'll have as robust a rule as Tootin,
but he'll be one injury away from potentially having the entire backfield
if Tootin does miss a significant amount of time.
So, yeah, Alan is the next guy up if Tootin is out.
And now you guys, we have a Josh Jacobs update,
live on air. It just dropped.
Does not need surgery.
They've clarified that.
Does not need surgery, but his weak availability is in doubt.
And this is per Bill Huber NFL.
So Josh Jacobs, week 12, will be out.
And again, with the short turnaround for Thanksgiving,
you might be thankful for Emmanuel Wilson
if he gets 20 touches on Thanksgiving Day for you.
And you guys mentioned my DFS success this week.

And guys, one of the reasons it was a great DFS play, and our guys were on this.
I'll say Scott was on this one, a number of our DFS guys were on this player, Michael Wilson.
And we're going to talk about him right now.
Michael Wilson, unbelievable performance at the wide receiver position.
Jacoby Brissette, who we'll talk about again in a little bit, has been on an unbelievable streak.
It feels like every week we're talking about Brissette and his ability to elevate talent.
and around him. Trey McBride is on another level. He's on like,
Trey McBride looks like a league winner at the tight end position. Brissette has five
straight QB1 finishes. But the story of week 11 for DFS managers and for anybody who started
him was this unbelievable performance from Michael Wilson. Wilson had 15 catches. He had 18
targets. And this player hasn't exactly come out of completely nowhere, guys. This was a
third round pick. He was a senior bowl player. Michael Wilson's been in the organization. Tom,
you know, you've done waiver wire content for a long time, as have I. There's been multiple
weeks. Wilson's ended up in your wavewire column, but nothing like this. This was unbelievable.
It reminds me of the Kendrick Bourne. Anybody who watched us, we were all over Kendrick
born for like a number of weeks and we got great performances out of him. It feels like
born, but maybe even better. Your thoughts on this one, Tom. Yeah, this is.
is a little bit surprising, but if you've been paying attention, he's been more involved
since Jacoby Brissette came into the lineup. I mean, Kyler Murray, we're getting a larger
sample here with Jacoby Prissette, and he was just absolutely killing this passing game.
Trey McBride is, you know, the fantasy tight end to have, and he's going to win a lot of
league championships because Brissette is in the lineup. But we're also seeing it with Wilson here.
He had three catches, three or more catches in 34 or more yards in his first four games.
in his first four games with Brissette.
Then we have the situation where Harrison is out and he just goes nuts.
And it was pretty lucky with the really negative game script.
Of course, Christian McCaffrey scores like 15 seconds into the game.
And it was just the Cardinals chasing points the entire game.
But when you have a quarterback who's willing to give your receivers lots of opportunities
to make plays, you can sometimes have performances like this.
So we're looking at Harrison.
They said maybe one to two games,
but the appendectomy was in the middle of last week.
This team is, I think, sitting at three and seven.
I don't know if they're going to be in any kind of rush
to get like a franchise type of player back on the field
for a game that probably isn't going to mean a whole lot
in the grand scheme of things.
So we should have at least another week here with Wilson
as the number one wide receiver next to Trey McBride.
And maybe he becomes,
a little bit of a factor moving forward after after a performance like this in week 11 maybe they need to
to start factoring you know scheming up some first read targets and we track those at fantasy
points data maybe he starts to to get some more looks because of it because of this performance
yeah i think i'm with you on that one it again like a game like this opens up coach's eyes
and it's like this guy earned himself a larger role harrison we don't have a timeline for the for the game he's
going to be back. And it's been a three-week stretch here where it's been McBride crushing at the
tight end position. And then Brissette elevates a wide receiver as well. We've seen Harrison Jr.
with like a 15-point game and a 20-point game with Brissette. So Wilson basically just
stepped into this role and then some. And we had the perfect storm of Arizona giving up a huge
number and being in comeback mode, getting a lot of garbage time catches. So I'm into it.
Joe, do you sort of share our Michael Wilson enthusiasm here?
Are you cautiously approaching this one?
Where are you at?
To tell you, Brett Whitefield was excited to dunk on everybody in the in the Discord
yesterday because he loved Michael Wilson coming out.
Yeah, I'm absolutely willing to share that enthusiasm because Jacoby Brissette might be
Joe Flacco West now.
Like he's just going out there.
He's a veteran quarterback.
He's cashing his paychecks.
And it just looks like he's having fun playing football.
Just, hey, I'm going out there.
I'm slinging it.
it set literally an NFL record for completions in a game.
Michael Wilson's probably rostered in most leagues, but also, man, if you're going
real deep, if this is what they're going to do, if they can't run the ball, you know,
Marri Di Mercado being hurt, Bam Knight being their lead back, Trey Benson, who knows when
he comes back, heck, even Greg Dorch is viable out there, six catches.
He had a very satanic stat line of six catches for 66 yards and a touchdown.
He, but he might be viable as well with the way Jacoby percent is playing right now.
and by that defense cannot stop anybody so uh they have to drop back and pass quite a bit yeah i i'm
i'm with you on this one and wilson seems really really interesting um and again i think
jacobi brissette we've talked about him for a number of weeks i know a lot of you already
picked him up i know i have a ton of jacobo brissette the guy's been a qb one every single week
it feels almost exactly like the joe flaco cleveland experience we had a few years ago guys it's
Like, this player was never a fantasy asset for us, but we're starting Jacoby Brissette.
We might as well talk a Brissette right now and just get this one off the table.
If he's still available in your league, are you letting like a QB1 sit out there?
Is he a QB1 rest of the season?
I think so.
Your thoughts, Tom?
I think so.
I added him in a couple of leagues.
And I've been, I used him over Baker Mayfield last week.
It's going to be matchup dependent, but pretty good matchups in the next two weeks here.
Jacksonville and Tampa Bay gets a little bit tougher with the Rams and Texans in a
in three or four weeks. But the way they're throwing the ball every week, they're, you know,
just they're slinging it right now. They're trusting him. You said, Flacco. I'm thinking of
even like James Winston last year. Yes, absolutely. Some of those performances that he had in the
middle of the season. So I just don't see them slowing down here. And this defense is kind of
falling apart a little bit. So they're, they're playing in some higher scoring games right.
now. So yeah, I think you want to, you'll buy in on this. And he's also shown a little bit with
his legs too. He's run a little bit, had to scramble. He had to push right on top of the goal
line a couple of weeks ago. Again, I think that was against the Cowboys. So he will get an
opportunity or two like that the rest of the season. So he's going to add a little bit of rushing
production. So right now, he's at least a low end QB, QB1 for me right now. One other player
that's interesting. Let's talk about a couple of rookies. Joe Dolan, we'll kick it to you for this one. Pat Bryant, who was a third round pick out of Illinois for Denver. This is Sean Payton guy. Sean Payton compared him to Michael Thomas when they drafted him. And Peyton over the last few weeks has gone out out of his way to sort of praise Pat Bryant. Anytime you hear him talking about the rookies, he'll point out Pat Bryant, Pat Bryant, Pat Bryant's done this. He's made a big catch here. 13.2 PPR point.
but it was the opponent here.
Five catches for 82 yards against the Chiefs
was the leading receiver.
Troy Franklin also had 84 yards.
So I guess he was the second leading receiver
in terms of yardage, but had the most catches
among all the wide receivers here.
What's your enthusiasm level for Pat Bryant?
Cortland Sutton is just sort of sitting there,
having fewer and fewer impactful fantasy performances as of late.
So here is the big question
that I had when I wrote up my wide receiver cornerback column this week because the chief
secondary, by the way, as you had mentioned, this is a good opponent. This is a good secondary
and good defense. The thing that I had wondered was what exactly is Pat Bryant's role going to be?
Because heading into week number nine when Marvin Mims had been active, Troy Franklin was essentially
the Broncos main slot receiver.
and Marvin Mims was playing a lot from the outside.
Well, we got the answer in week 11.
Pat Bryant ran 25 routes.
Marvin Mims ran nine.
So Marvin Mims coming back.
He was the one relegated to the bench.
So Sean Peyton told us with that usage that Pat Bryant is now,
look, nobody's ever a full-time player in a Sean Payton offense.
But he's as close to as it comes for a rookie.
He was third on the team in routes.
He ran more routes than Evan Ingram.
Sutton and Troy Franklin ran 33 and 32 respectively Bryant ran 25 and 72% of his
routes were in the slot. So there you go. Comparing him to Michael Thomas, that big
slot, Marcus Colston. That is what his role is and it was solidified after Marvin Mims came
back, which is what I really needed to see from Pat Bryant. Yeah, I mean, Pat Bryant's really,
really interesting right now. Tom, your thoughts on your your thoughts on Pat Bryant and also
let's put Pat Bryant into context here.
Jaden Higgins also continues to play well.
Higgins has now had sort of three decent performances,
better than decent for a couple of them.
But he has 9.5 points after a 15.2 week in week 10,
and then he had a 13.5 point week in week 8.
So we're starting to see Higgins at least having a decent role
back-to-back weeks with seven targets with Davis Mills behind center.
and he's doing it again with Nico Collins playing his best football the season.
So sort of your thoughts on Bryant and then segue over to Higgins and which receiver
should fantasy managers be adding if it's a either or situation?
That's a tough one.
I think I lean towards Jane to Higgins though.
The body of work has been more impressive over the last month.
We're still struggling here though with both of these guys.
They just have not been released into these full,
full-time rules. They're both, you know, as Joe said, I think it was about 60% of the routes last
week for Pat Bryant. Jaden, Jaden Higgins is kind of still sitting in that 50 to 65% route share
most weeks. So they're still playing Xavier Hutchinson a lot. They're kind of rotating Christian
Kirk in. But if he is fully unleashed at some point later in the season, which maybe he's
earning that right to. He's put together some strong performances over the last month. And I, you know,
Davis Mills has elevated this offense a little bit.
I think C.J. Stroud was playing better right before he suffered his concussion in
week nine. So I think overall, the offense, it was really rough early in the season.
It's finally starting to trend up a little bit.
They made some switches in the backfield as well with Woody Marks.
So I think the environment overall in Houston is improving.
And I think Higgins could have some big games down the stretch.
So if I was choosing between the two, I would lean towards Higgins.
He was also drafted a little bit earlier than Pat Bryant.
So I do think they have, they do want to get him more involved as the season moves along here.
So hopefully we see a little bit more of both of these guys down the stretch.
But both of them are great pickups, but I would lean towards Higgins.
Joe, last week we talked about Mack Hollins of the New England Patriots as a player you could stream against the Jets.
It ended up being the Trayvion Henderson game.
But Hollins still gave you 10 and a half PPR points, four catches,
for 64 yards, had five targets down from his week 10 performance.
But a reminder to everyone, week 10 led, led New England with 10 targets,
had six catches for 106 yards.
And then in week eight, he gave you that 16 point performance against the Browns.
Hollins has really trended up since Kishon Booty went out.
Your thoughts on Hollins in a fantastic matchup this week against the Bengals.
Yeah, I would love to start them this week against the Bengals.
angles. Drake May is an aggressive
thrower. He's just, he is still
the MVP leader,
although Josh Allen might have staked his
claim with that, with that performance.
Got to, that's the thing. You got to
somebody else has to be the MVP every
week. That's how the NFL works, right? But
Drake May is still the betting favorite.
He is playing at a high level. And getting a receiver
attached to Drake May is just
it's smart business right now. Don't know
when Kishon Booty is going to be back, but
I feel like Mack Hollins has earned
his role as the Patriots deep threat.
And we're going to talk about another wide receiver you might be able to use this week that's a little bit under the radar right after this.
Tom, let's talk about Andrei Yoshibus because Jamar Chase looks like he's going to be suspended this week, probably for a game.
But Yoshavus is going to be in like pretty much a full-time role this week.
Again, New England's going to put a ton of pressure on Cincinnati.
This might be a name-your-number type scoring week for the Patriots.
Yoshibus could be in a good spot.
Yeah, absolutely.
We'll see if Jamar Chase is indeed suspended.
It feels like it's trending that way after he spit on Jalen Ramsey
and the NFL is trying to do away with those kind of backs.
So we'll find out here in the next day or two.
But if he's out of the lineup, we know Joe Flacco is going to throw it a lot every week.
And he would be elevated into a bigger role here.
And nobody can really run on the Patriots anyway.
So they're a natural pass funnel anyway.
So I think they're going to throw it a lot.
T. Higgins obviously gets elevated.
He's probably going to be the player that leads them in targets.
But Andre Yoshavos could be, you know, number two or number three,
depending on how many targets Chase Brown gets.
So if we're just looking at this, if you need a fill in for this week,
maybe you're the Jamar Chase owner.
And you're kind of pinched by this, you know,
your number one overall draft pick gets suspended for a game right near the,
the end of the fantasy regular season here.
I would just look towards
Andre Yoshavos. Maybe he can find
the end zone or maybe get you four or five
catches. So I do think he'll be
kind of elevated into a bigger role here
if Jamar Chase is indeed suspended this week.
Yeah, and a really, really tough one to lose
Jamar Chase. I mean, it's just terrible
this time of year. Let's talk about another
player. And Joe, I remember
having this conversation with you back in week eight.
In week seven, Xavier Leggett had a huge game.
He had nine catches for 92 yards and a touchdown.
He had 11 targets.
We were like cautiously optimistic.
And then it was a complete rugpole.
He had three straight weeks of absolutely nothing.
Well, yesterday, Xavier Leggett, guess what?
Big win for Carolina.
He has eight targets.
He has four catches for 83 yards and a touchdown.
This was the Tetaroa McMillan game.
McMillan had like the best performance he's had.
since he's been a pro, and we're going to talk about Bryce Young in a minute, but are you interested
in Xavier Leggett? Are you going to let this one go as sort of a one-off guy cut a touchdown? I'm not
paying for it type performance. You know, he's, he's a guy who, I don't know if he's ever going
to be the player that the Panthers drafted in the first round, but a guy that big who moves the
way he does, that guy's always going to have a role in the NFL, and he's kind of a red zone threat as
well. And he, I view him as like the wide receiver version of Zach Charbonnet. If I put him in my
lineup, he can score a touchdown. Hopefully I catch it on the week where Bryce Young decides to
play well. And Bryce Young played very well this week. So that's what he is to me. He's a deep
league only guy. Normally at the receiver position, that's a guy that I have no interest in really
having because he, he's touchdown or bust to me. But I mean, you could see him with the ball
on his hands against the Falcons that, man, if he can complete that transaction of the ball
hitting his hands and him actually securing it, that's a dangerous football player, Xavier League
get. But he's a deep league only guy for me. Yeah. And Tom, like, he's well, well behind the
wide receivers we talked about already. Yeah, absolutely for me. Honestly, I didn't even write him up
for our waiver. Because he's, I mean, last time he had the big performance back in week seven,
He's combined, you know, six point nine fantasy points in his next three games.
So this is an offense that wants to run through Rico Douddle.
I just have a, I don't want people picking them up and having the rug pulled out from underneath them.
So I would look elsewhere.
I mean, there's a number of other spots.
Heck, I would even look at the Jets receivers right now with John Mechie and A.D. Mitchell before Xavier Legat,
since we now have news that Tyrod Taylor will be starting in week 12.
Tyrod Taylor is starting.
We've talked about him for a couple of weeks.
He's an interesting one.
If you're a super flex manager,
Tyrod Taylor,
it sort of makes the guys like Adonai Mitchell
a little interesting this week.
John Mechie, a little bit interesting.
The offensive passing game has to be better
than what it's shown the last few weeks with Justin Fields.
But let's talk about a quarterback that matters,
the quarterback that has a good match up here against San Francisco.
And again, we talked about Jacoby Brissette.
Jacobi Brissette had an NFL record, set an NFL record with 47 completions, broke Jared
Gough and Drew Bledso's record, and they had over 400 passing yards.
Now Bryce Young coming off of his, let's say, best game ever as a pro.
They beat Atlanta, 448 passing yards, three passing touchdowns.
We've talked about Rico Dowdell.
We've talked about this Carolina offense getting better.
It seems like they're starting to trend up at the right time.
With Atlanta, this win seems like it matters.
They're six and five now on the season.
And now they're playing in San Francisco in week 12.
This looks like it could be a shootout type environment.
Your enthusiasm levels for adding Bryce Young coming off of this massive performance, Tom.
I wouldn't mind him this week as just like a one week type of player.
The schedule isn't great.
He's got the Rams, week 13, and then a buy week.
So, but you could have, you know, the Bo Knicks here, Justin Herbert, a couple of
quarterbacks on by.
I wouldn't mind streaming Bryce Young, but I just look at, you know, he's top 200 passing
yards just twice so far.
So in 10 games.
So the track record really hasn't been there, but maybe they're going to throw it a little
bit more.
We saw something a little bit similar toward the end of last season.
had a rough start to the year, and things started to trend up in the second half of the season.
So maybe we're going to see another second half surge here from Bryce Young.
So this is setting up as a game, as you said, against the 49ers.
That offense was clicking last week.
So they could be chasing points in this game.
So Monday night football, I could see them having to throw it a little bit more if they fall behind by a touchdown or two.
And yeah, Bryce Young could maybe, I don't know if he's going to.
go for 400 yards again, but I could see him putting up a 225 and two touchdowns on Monday night
football. And we've mentioned last week, Tyler Shuck. Tyler Shuck had his big performance. He outplayed
Bryce Young last week. And Tyler Shuck, of course, New Orleans was on their by week. But I think
Tyler Shuck is worth a pickup if you're in super flexing. He's out there. We mentioned Tyrod Taylor.
Joe, let's talk about a evolving situation here in Atlanta.
awful news for Michael Pennix
and terrible news for Drake London fantasy managers
we'll keep a light on candle burning
for Drake London to be back for the fantasy football playoffs
not sure the timeline here
PCL could mean two weeks
it could mean a couple of like four weeks
we're hoping Drake London is back sooner than later
but Michael Pennick's a really really bad situation here
now we're talking about Kirk Cousins
Does Kirk Cousins return also elevate Darnell Mooney, who's been non-existent recently,
but now could serve as a de facto wide receiver one, or is this a situation you want no part of?
Where are you out on this one, Joe?
I want nothing to do with this, quite frankly.
Theo, I put on a show for my neighbors over the weekend on Saturday.
I got the Bermuda grass is going dormant, so I got my final mo in, and I took the leaf blower out, right?
And I decided, you know, I've got to get the leaves into a pile, get them so they can be picked up.
And I'm blowing the leaves directly into the wind coming into my face.
So, like, I'm blowing the leaves and they're coming right back at me.
That is what Kurt Cousins looked like throwing the football on Sunday.
He is blowing leaves and they're directly into a stiff breeze.
I mean, it is unbelievable how little arm strength he has left.
Tom, you might remember it the pass and overtime.
I think it was a dig route to Kyle Penn.
and it just died.
Like, it just absolutely hit a wall.
They were playing in a dome, too.
Yeah, I mean, there was no wind in that, that, uh, in that stadium.
And by the way, speaking of that Atlanta job is probably going to open this year.
Who is going to want that job?
Yeah, well, guys, the top eight pick.
It's going to look at least.
At least they get that top 10 pick.
Oh, wait.
You're right.
Oh, wait.
And I mean, James Pierce has played well, but like, not the team that should be doing
that trade.
Anyway, we don't want to relitigate that, but Michael Pennix is going to have now three, three season-ending knee injuries.
This is, by the way, this is right now from Ian Rappaport.
Michael Pennix is headed to injured reserve after aggravating a bone bruise and knee sprain from earlier in the season.
Additionally, there has been damage to the ACL.
Talk about bearing the lead there.
A full reconstruction could be, I mean, I don't know.
there's a job I'd want less in the NFL right now. But unfortunately, Kirk Cousins, Theo,
give me Tyler Schock over Kirk Cousins. I mean, I totally mean that. Give me Tyrod Taylor over
Kirk Cousins. It's over. Yeah, Kirk Cousins looks like a guy who should be retired right now.
Kirk Cousins, we had a lot of really strong fantasy performances, but you have to downgrade this
entire offense with London out as well. And I think this week against New Orleans, Bejohn
Robinson might catch like eight or nine passes and you're going to end up seeing Tyler
Algier also getting a ton of touches. They're going to have to lean into their running
backs. It's going to be a weird, weird offense. Kirk Cousins was never a guy who elevated
Kyle Pitts. So this is going to be a lot of running backs in Atlanta. Really an ugly
situation. This team is trending down downwards. A team that got off to a fantastic start
and lost a very close game yesterday, Sam Darnold had four interceptions.
The Rams Seahawks game, I was really hoping was going to be this unbelievable fantasy-friendly environment.
But it ended up being a 21-19 game, really a hard-fought football game.
But one player who stood out was A.J. Barner is a guy that we've talked about for many, many weeks here, guys.
Like, he always comes up in the conversation because he's a threat to score touchdowns.
But he ends up with 11 targets.
This is by far his season high career.
high, 10 catches for 70 yards.
Is this like a turning point for AJ Barner?
Where's your enthusiasm level for him, Tom?
Is this a player you sort of want to ignore it?
It was sort of a one-off based on the way that L.A. was defending.
Or is this something that they're going to build on?
I lean towards it's, you know, I'm a little more tepid on this one.
I do think we're going to see Rashid Shahid factored into the offense more as we move along
as we get closer to the post season.
They really haven't done a great job of getting him integrated into the offense yet.
But I would expect that to improve over the next couple of weeks.
Barner's been a guy that just has not seen a whole lot of volume to start the season.
He's frankly been a little bit lucky with some of his performances.
A lot of touchdown driven, but this offense has been performing at a high level.
And he's a guy that they do look at down in the scoring areas.
And they still have some talented, you know, Elijah Arroyo.
They spent a second round pick on him.
there's still a lot of talent around him at the tight end position.
But the one thing that is pretty interesting about him is he's getting a lot of
these, the push pushes, the carries for first downs.
And we've even saw it a couple of weeks ago for a touchdown.
So that's something only Mark Andrews for the Baltimore Ravens really is getting
those type of opportunities as well.
So that does increase how much I won him.
but he's still a low-end guy for me.
He's more of a desperation play.
You're just kind of plugging him in
and hoping he scores a touchdown
because I think most weeks,
unless somebody figures out a way
to just like completely take Jackson Smith
and Jigba out of a game.
I don't think there's going to be
a whole lot of volume there for him in most cases.
Joe, what was more surprising to you?
Sam Darnold throwing four interceptions
or Kenneth Walker getting a rushing touchdown.
Kenneth Walker getting the rushing touchdown was more surprising to me, quite frankly.
We've seen the Darnold stuff before.
I mean, isn't it funny that Sam Darnold completely craps his pants,
and that's what the first time Kenneth Walker has a good game all season?
Like, just what a bizarre team that is.
Absolutely.
And Tom, one tight end that we talked about before the show, Brenton Strange,
who early in the year we were super excited about,
and Brenton Strange was actually off to a really, really hot start to the season,
Look like a guy who could be a high-end, tight-end two for us.
He should be back soon.
Yeah, I think people have kind of forgotten about him.
He was activated.
The practice window was activated for him last week.
He got some work in.
Wasn't healthy enough to play last week,
but he should be probably back in the lineup this week.
So I think he's going to go back to a pretty big role here.
Unfortunately, the passing game has taken a little bit of a downturn
with Trevor Lawrence getting worse with every.
passing week. But maybe strange being back in the middle of the field will help him out a little bit.
Of course, we know Travis Hunter is no longer in the mix. So there could be some opportunities for
Strange as a little bit of the safety blanket in the middle of the field. 20 receptions was
leading the team in receptions before his injury. So a guy that's kind of been forgotten about,
12% owned in Yahoo Leagues, I think he should be owned in closer to 40 or 50%.
at Yahoo legs at this point.
Yeah, he had two six catch games in back-to-back weeks
and weeks three and week four.
Interesting speculative ad at the tight end position,
Breton Strange.
