It's time to the Fantasy Points podcast brought to you by FantasyPoints.com.
Top level fantasy football and NFL betting analysis from every perspective and angle,
from numbers to the film room with a single goal to help you score more fantasy points.
We have reached double-digit weeks of the 2023 fantasy football season,
which coincides with the 2023 NFL season.
That's kind of how we play this game.
It is week number 10.
And the week nine slate is almost complete.
Our Monday night game between the Chargers and the Jets will kick off later this evening.
And we'll see what happens there.
But it's good to be with you each and every Monday morning, Grand Barfield, Joe Dolan, Tom Brawley.
I am Joe.
And those two guys will be joining me in just a second.
Good to be with you, everybody for week number 10 as we recap all the NFL action.
Not a huge week of injuries, but some consequential ones that we'll get to.
Tom, what's going on, man?
How was your weekend of fantasy football and player props?
Good.
I mean, hit 3 and 0 on the ATS picks, and all three of them,
it was the big games of the weekend and kind of learned some things about the
Dolphins and Chiefs and Eagles and Cowboys and then the nightcap there with the Bills
and Bengals, three very consequential games for the playoffs moving forward.
And we'll dive into them shortly.
But went three and O on those picks, had the right.
side on all those. Yeah, Graham, what's up, man? How you doing? Well, how was your week number nine?
Excited for week 10? Because I sure is how I am. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. They're flying by now. Yeah,
good week. A couple props. Had a Kincaid prop I loved last night. That was an easy over. We had it at
34 and a half, I think. 34 and a half. That was an easy over. Obviously, bengals are back.
That's good to have some good fantasy teams back. Just looking forward to it next week here,
boys. We got Chiefs, Rams, Dolphins, and Eagles out on by. So if you thought,
this week was bad. If you thought this week was bad, next week might be even worse.
Yeah, it's a bad bye week. Well, let's get into recapping. Starting with the Thursday night game,
the Steelers and the Titans, I have no idea how the Steelers keep winning these football games,
but they do. And well, Tom, let's put it this way. They actually ran the ball in this one.
They ran the ball effectively. Jalen Warren and Najee Harris both look pretty good. And Deontay Johnson
came out and had a strong game. Now, I don't know, Kenny, Kenny fourth quarter picket, I guess.
he was atrocious for most of that game.
And then put together a game-winning drive.
Same old Steelers, Tom.
It's ugly, but they keep on winning football games.
Yeah, I don't know how they keep doing it,
but they keep finding ways late in these games.
They trail in half time and have pulled out a couple of victories late in the game.
Yeah, but my major takeaway was, I mean,
we even saw a little bit after the fact.
George Pickens taking all of his Steelers stuff down off of his social media stuff.
Deonti Johnson has.
clearly come back into the lineup. He is the guy in this offense. And can you blame the
quarterbacks? I mean, he always has a yard or two a separation. He's always wide open.
George, George Pickens always has somebody draped all over him. And then Pickens, I mean,
that touchdown reception, I mean, perfectly thrown ball by Pickett and had plenty of room to get
both feet down and doesn't. So, you know, that was kind of my biggest takeaway is Deonté is
locked back in. He scored a touchdown, guys. He did it since
2021 with Ben Rafflesberger.
It was the last time that he did it. So that was
my big takeaway from the game is that Deontes is back
established as the guy here in this offense.
He looks awesome. This is the best he's looked, I think, in his career.
If you look just watching the games, he looks awesome. The numbers
look good too, like small sample, but by yards per route, run. I mean,
he's having his best season by far. And then, Tom, just to your point on
Pickens, I mean, you know, we've got
got what, three full games now, technically three full games, seven, five, and five targets.
And with this offense with Pickett, that is just not going to get it done with Pickens.
It's just, I don't know, I think he's just going to be kind of like a Gabe Davis type play for the rest of the season.
He's going to have some monster weeks where he's going to go, you know, six for 90 in a touchdown.
He's going to have some games like this.
And George Pickens, of course, is removing all his pictures of him in a Steelers uniform on Instagram.
and he says free me in his Instagram.
Well, I got some bad news.
You got two years left on that Rookie deal.
But by the way, he also said it had nothing to do with the game on Thursday.
Oh, okay.
That sounds right.
Yeah, nothing to do with the game on Thursday is what George Pickens says.
Yeah, I'm not buying that.
Over on the Titans, I wonder how much interest or lack thereof they got in Ryan Tannahill at the deadline.
because if they got anything decent,
they should have traded them because there's no way
anybody but Will Levis should take a snap
for them the rest of the season.
Levis Levis has some juice, man.
I know he turned the ball over.
And rough games are going to happen,
but he has opened up this offense
in a way that Tannhill just had.
Yeah, just watching those two quarterbacks
on Thursday night, it's like, wow,
Levis has already surpassed.
Pickett, it's not even particularly close.
I know Pickett was playing through a rib injury.
they really confined.
They weren't really throwing down field
because of that rib injury.
But there were so many easy throws for picket to make in that game
that he just missed players wide open.
And not that Levis was perfect in that game,
but you saw the signs of strong downfield throws
to the boundary outside the numbers.
Downfield, you know, we saw it two weeks ago with DeAndre Hopkins,
still throwing with a lot of authority downfield.
So everything.
seems to be there with Levis.
I'd be feeling pretty optimistic right now
if I was a Titans fan
and if I had Hopkins on my team
for the rest of the season,
they'd have to be crazy
to go back to Tanna Hill
in the second half of the season.
Moving on to Miami and Kansas City,
Kansas City, man, just,
there was the game a couple weeks ago
against the Chargers
when Mahomes threw for 400 because Chargers.
But since then, I mean,
they're
passing game, it's just not any good.
It's like, well, yeah, we'll see what the numbers look like, Joe.
But like I was looking in this last week, you know, the Broncos just played a bunch of too
high against them and Mahomes, like just doesn't have any guys that can get vertical and
be too high.
You know, I think the dolphins, you know, watching the game, it looked like they sat back
and too high in this game too.
It's just they don't have any juice.
They have no juice.
And if Kelsey isn't having an like all-star game, I mean, this is kind of what happens.
The thing that surprised me, I want to.
to get your guys take on Rishu Rice.
Like, you know, his lack of involvement in this offense right now is, is kind of mystifying.
They're going on by.
And we know Andy Reid's record coming out of the buy is absolutely sterling.
I would anticipate that there's going to be some big time adjustments made.
They actually play the Eagles coming out of the buy.
Both teams coming out of the buy with a lot of adjustments made on both sides.
Yeah, you wonder if Rie Rice is going to get more involved in the offense.
You know, there's still, the problem.
them is they're still using so many different receivers.
Nicole Hardman, he's in there running back backwards on punt returns.
Believe me, I thought the trade made sense because like, I thought at least he'd give them some
speed that, but he hasn't been able to do anything. He's the same old me, Cole Hardman.
Kelsey's got three catches for 14 yards. I mean, really, the guy you feel best about in this
offense right now is Pacheco, but he didn't catch a pass in this game. It's really kind of bizarre.
And by the way, they won.
They won 21 to 14, bearing the lead here.
But just kind of weird with Kansas City.
It's last year they were able to cobble it together.
But this year, they just don't, you know, Valdez Scantley is the guy who can get vertical and he drops a pass.
You know, it's just kind of a broken offense.
And they took a shot to Justin Watson.
And, yeah, of course, he didn't come up with it.
It's just the same old kind of offense every week.
And this is a different team.
They're leaning into their defense every week.
week and I think my home said it after the game is that this is the best defense I've ever played with.
And, you know, the the days of them shooting out every week have long gone here, at least for
the temporary, you know, temporarily, I, you know, I'm not going to write this offense off for later in the season.
We've touched on Rice's role. It's, it's ever so slightly growing every week. It's, you know,
he was up leading them in snaps this week, 68%. I'm going to guess that his route share was right
around that 60% range again.
It's been kind of sitting there the last couple of weeks.
So maybe out of the buy, maybe they increase that because he's the only one out of that
wide receiver core that's bringing any kind of juice to this offense.
It's just bizarre because he's got so much yakability.
Like he's just like a freaking freight train with the ball on his hands.
And I know he's raw.
I know he's still got like a long way to go.
But like let's, I mean, Andy Reid's an awesome coach.
But it's just so clear he's, Rice is like the only guy here that can do anything.
consistently after the catch.
Good point on the snap rate coming up.
Rice looks like a buy.
Chief's defense is legit, except for maybe their run defense.
Mostert was ripping off.
Some big gains there at the end of the game there.
Dolphins obviously got away from the run, Joe.
But, you know, weird game in Germany.
Tua and Mahomes both throw for fun and 200 yards.
That's so weird.
Tons of penalties and just punch in this game.
They even had the fumble return for the touchdown.
You know, a lot of times those big defensive plays really helped the game to shoot out and, you know, more points and more plays.
And it didn't happen.
It was, you know, 21 and nothing at halftime and Chiefs lay an egg in the second half and still get the win.
And for Miami, I proposed this to our guy Thomas Tipple, who is a former professional wrestler.
And I said, the dolphins are a really good and exciting, like kind of high-flying mid-card wrestler that when he gets his main event push, it just doesn't work.
and he's job and clean to all like the Roman reigns of the world.
The Dolphins have stepped up in class.
I guess you could say three times this year and they failed the test each time.
Obviously, they were down 21 nothing in this game and then their defense held Kansas
City in check in the second half, but it wasn't enough.
It's just very clear right now.
I'm not trying to say two is stinks.
But if you get too under pressure, you're going to affect this offense severely.
And look, pressure is the name of the game for any, any quarterback.
You pressure any quarterback.
They're going to be worse.
But Tua, you get him under pressure.
This offense is a lot easier to stop all of a sudden.
Yeah, Tua has always been a first read and it looks awesome type of quarterback.
You get into that second and third read and made him pat the ball a couple times.
Yeah, you can, you can slow this offense down for sure.
Real quick, I mean, Jalen Waddle, let's just have an absolute roller coaster of a season.
And he picked up a minor injury in this game.
And he was limping for, I mean, he caught like,
I think maybe a 15 or 20 yard catch at the end of the first half.
I was watching the game.
I mean, he was limping in the second half.
So just something to watch.
I'll throw him on the watch list here.
Yeah, that's been since training camp.
I mean, remember he missed a bunch of time in training camp, a whole bunch of different ailments.
Yeah, he had a groin injury.
Then he picked up a concussion.
I mean, he's just had so many injuries this year.
So it's unlucky, obviously.
But, you know, just another one.
Yeah, the other thing we'll be looking at, A. Chan will be coming
out of the, you know, that's the big one.
Everybody's who got those huge games out of him in the middle, you know, in October there,
have been waiting for him to come back to the lineup.
They'll be on by this week, but he'll be back in the mix and hopefully winning some people,
some fantasy championships down the stretch.
Yeah, if you have A, Chan, the best thing that happened was I know Moster had a good game.
He had a couple down games against Philly and then I think it was against New England last
week.
He scored, but he didn't have a huge game.
And on top of that, neither Ahmed nor Jeff Wilson has really emerged to do much of anything.
So that's the really good news if you have Devon A-chan.
He's going to be able to come in there.
This will be a two-man backfield.
And I think it'll be A-chan.
One-A is like right out of the gates.
If his knee injury is right, like a couple weeks ago, McDaniel was saying, yeah,
we think he's going to be fine right after the four-week period.
Like, I expect him to be the one-a.
All right.
Let's move on to the next game on Minnesota and Atlanta.
What a fun game.
I,
unless you're a Falcons fan.
Sorry,
Arthur Smith,
I'm tired of this guy.
And like,
so here's the thing that I'm really happy.
And look,
if you're a Falcons fan,
this is not personal in any way whatsoever.
But if they win this game,
his freaking kooky methods
keep getting validated.
You know,
like I was perusing Falcons Reddit
and they are all fed up with them.
And like, it's fair to say.
Why is Bejohn Robinson?
You, Field Yates had that, field Yates had the tweet because, you know,
field is, hey, he's a reporter and he's also a fantasy guy.
Here's those.
The Falcons just forced to fumble and return it to the Vikings one yard line.
The subsequent plays.
First and goal, false start.
First and goal, pass to Jono Smith.
Second and goal, end around to Janu Smith.
You know, third and goal, handoff to Tyler Aljir.
Bison Ross did not play a snap.
Yeah, the Johnny ended around.
I was screaming at my TV.
I'm like, what are we doing here?
You know what?
I don't want to like, you never have to hand it to Arthur Smith, so don't think I'm handing
it to him.
The thing is like, he gets, guys are getting open in this offense.
I'm like, that's why they made the change to Heineke.
That being said, it's just, I mean, Kyle Pitts, five targets, guys on 38 pat.
That was my biggest takeaway.
This is the best spot he's had all year.
Vikings suck against slot receivers.
He's a big slot.
receiver, 38 pass attempts from a better quarterback, and we get five targets.
Yeah.
We are without Drake London in the lineup, you know, with the groin injury, you think you'd
want to maybe funnel them more targets, but you look at the box score here.
We got like six or seven guys that are between three and six targets.
We got to, we got to mix it around to, you know, Van Jefferson, who we got to get Demir
Bird his two targets, Tom.
I had a Cadaral, Hodg.
I had a Cadero Hodge over the prop that hit on the first.
You did bet that, Joe.
We were talking about that on the final.
Yeah, John, John loved them. I was like, I was like, ooh, I don't know. He was right. John was right.
That was an easy. That was an easy over.
Tyler, Tyler, Tyler, Alger is 30 yards on 15 opportunities, but by all means, keep getting them going.
Like, oh, he finished at the goal on there, Joe.
Oh, yeah, he's a grinder. Like, oh, my God, dude.
I'm not trying to say he shouldn't work in. I'm just like, you used all these picks.
Don't. You use them.
Yeah.
It's just, it's mind-blowing to me that we've got to watch Algiers slam into the back of his guard 15 times a game.
I mean, he looked great at week one against the Panthers bad run defense.
Then he's been atrocious for any routinely gets more carries than B.
You know, it's like we got to split it right down the middle between these two guys.
Arthur Smith, by the way, said he doesn't know who the starting quarterback's going to be next week.
I have an idea.
It's going to be Johnny Smith.
That's who it's going to be.
Anyway, flipping on over to Minnesota, I love Josh Dobbs.
I love this guy.
Like, did you hear the quotes that he had coming out of that game?
There was a couple of quotes.
Kevin O'Connell.
It's all the one about Tomlin on there, you know, about being ready for any opportunity.
You know, yeah, he had that.
All right.
So, okay, this is from Alec Lewis from the Athletic.
Josh Dobbs said that the Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell was essentially translating calls
and mapping out plays mid-huddle as the play clock was ticking down.
Kevin O'Connell called Dobbs' ability to handle it
one of the most impressive things he's seen in his career.
Moreover, here's what Dobbs's quote was.
It's like if you were taking AP Spanish all year
and you showed up on Wednesday and somebody told you you have an AP French exam on Sunday
and you've got to go execute.
Someone's going to talk to you in Spanish and translate it to the French.
And he leads him to a victory.
Dude, O'Connell's a great coach.
Yeah, that's,
Dobbs is, man,
Dobbs is obviously,
hats off for the performance he had,
obviously made a couple of huge scrambles,
but Kevin O'Connell is an awesome coach.
And,
you know,
Dobbs just endeared himself
to the city of Minnesota
for the rest of his life.
Oh, yeah.
And by the way,
the city of Minnesota.
Sorry,
sorry, the state of Minnesota.
It's early here,
you know.
The Twin Cities of Minnesota.
There you go.
Cam Acres,
it's horrors,
and I think this is second,
but not
in the same thought it was the same yeah different leg there yeah um the other note i had is uh hawkinson man
he's uh i was worried about him but we got dobs in there uh since we talked on last monday we were
really concerned but dobs has been uh even dating back to with the cardinals there i mean he's funneling
targets to tight ends with earths and trey mcbride uh now hawkinson i you know it's it's going to be a little
bit of a drop off from kirky they're not going to have uh the same scoring upside but uh maybe
He could still, you know, live in that like seven to nine target range and be passable at the top of the tight end position still.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
I think Hawkinson's trending up, if anything.
I kind of want to put an upgrade on him.
Joe, just real quick to this backfield, man.
So Acres is going to miss the rest of the season.
Madison is so bad.
Oh, my God.
I kind of think Ty Chandler.
Yeah, I mean, Ty Chandler might be a speculative ad here.
I know you guys will talk, you guys will talk waiver wire tomorrow, but I'm.
I kind of think Ty Chandler is somebody to keep an eye on here.
Yeah, for sure.
Like Madison right now, I mean, I think you have to just continue playing him and holding your nose.
There is the early part of the season when it was him and Rashad White where the two hold your nose starts.
Rashad White is far surpassed him now.
Rashad White's an every week starter easily.
The other thing here for Minnesota and with Josh Dobbs in particular, maybe we need to give Dobbs a little bit more credit for, I think I used the term splattered against his ceiling in our.
Arizona. After watching Arizona's offense without him, maybe we need to give him a little bit more credit for how he was playing.
Yeah, I actually put him at the top, like close to the top of the waiver wire. I mean, playing in Kevin O'Connell's offense here.
And the rushing is what, you know, we're always looking for these guys that are rushing since week two. He fairly ran in week one.
But since week two, he's averaging 41 rushing yards a game. That will do it. And with four rushing touchdowns.
That will work. Lost a prop in this game.
to three. Second consecutive time. Paul Kelly and I have lost the Lamar Jackson passing
attempts prop because their NFC contender who came into Baltimore decided not to show up for the game.
Baltimore beat Seattle 37 to 3. Gino was atrocious. The only player in this game,
who you started for Seattle, maybe started, who came through for fantasy was Jackson Smith
and Jigba. And I don't know if anybody was all hyped up to start Smith and Jigba, who got
six catches, but a complete no-show for Seattle.
I don't think we need to even talk about them.
It was, they'll be better going out, just like the lions were better after getting
their butts kicked by Baltimore.
But Tom, I want to talk.
We'll talk about this young fellow on the waiver wire tomorrow.
Yeah.
I think Keaton Mitchell is taking Justice Hill's role in this offense.
Oh, I thought you were going to Charbonnet here, because this is at least something to
watch in this battle.
All right.
We'll start with Sharbene.
We can put that in the article, but he outsnaw, you know, obviously it was a really weird
game script.
they were up down multiple scores.
But it's the least notable that this is the second straight week
that Charbonnet has played more snaps than Walker.
And Walker, you know, I don't think he reached 10 carries the week before as well.
So just something to keep an eye on here.
Charbonnet will maybe touch on him a little bit more on the,
in the waiver wire pot.
He's pretty owned.
But if he's out there, he's certainly worth it.
But Mitchell, they finally, we had him pretty high on the waiver wire, you know,
early in the season there in week five.
And then he re-injured the hamstring.
But that backfield was up for grabs.
Gus is kind of taking the bowl by the horns here.
Only has the five carries with two touchdowns in this game.
But Mitchell got to show off a little bit in the second half when they were up a bunch
of scores, broke off a 40-yard touchdown run, and then another 60-yard run.
And, I mean, he looks completely different than these other two backs.
It feels very similar to like the Jaliel McLaughlin situation in Denver where this guy is going to force his hand.
I don't know if he's ever going to get that real appealing fantasy role, but he's a guy that they're probably going to have to give like six or eight touches to a game just to get his explosiveness out in the field.
Yeah, I threw Gus on the watch list.
He's in concussion protocol.
Oh, is he?
I think.
I remember seeing something during the game.
I'm trying to find it.
and I can't find it now.
I think he's in concussion protocol,
but to your point,
I'm throwing him on there
just because Keaton Mitchell looks awesome.
I mean,
the explosiveness is great.
I mean,
if they can get him going on this zone
read stuff with Lamar,
like that's good Lord.
Baltimore is,
you know,
Joe,
you're talking about the dolphins,
you know,
failing the test against three heavy weights.
I think the Ravens are heavyweight,
man.
I think this is,
they are rolling good teams,
you know,
really good teams.
So I mean,
I actually,
I do the,
like power ratings.
I put them,
They're right up there.
I really gave them a boost up there.
They're right behind the big three here so far this season.
This is the best Lamar ever played.
Lamar is out of his mind good right now.
It's so efficient.
Just every single week is like 70% completions with like seven and a half YPA.
It's just a matter of the touchdowns.
You know, we've kind of run hot and cold with that.
But man, I mean, he's playing awesome.
I mean, but like here's the other thing that just frustrated me from fantasy.
Lamar Jackson got mercy benched in this game.
Yeah.
like him and did not account for a touchdown.
Like that's like I was saying.
And Huntley comes in.
I'm like,
I can't believe they have 30 points and Lamar doesn't like in this.
He had 11 fantasy points.
Same thing last week.
I mean,
they slaughter and he doesn't come through.
And I know we have them on at least we had Gus Edwards in the lineup in our one
FFPC team this week.
Watching Gus steal the three touchdowns last week was.
Yeah.
They've got three hot.
games coming up here, Browns, bangles and chargers.
Those are going to be hopefully three really competitive games.
Yeah, Graham, I don't know what you're seeing about the Gus Edwards in the protocol.
I don't, yeah, I just got a search too.
I didn't see anything.
Nah, he's not he.
He's not in the, I just don't, he just got the goal line carries.
That's what he does.
He is going to be their version of Jamal Williams.
Here.
Uh, well, yeah, I think I might have been wrong.
Yeah, he, he was in it earlier this year, but he did he cleared it here.
Oh, by the way, if you look at this box score, you're going.
going to see Justice Hill had 13 carries.
He was carrying the ball a lot when Tyler Huntley was in the game.
So he was running with like the practice squad offense.
So just get that in mind.
Yeah, yeah, he was in there in the fourth quarter.
Yeah, good call.
I'm sorry about the concussion thing.
Yeah, but Cleveland and the Cardinals, 27 nothing.
Cleveland, like, I don't know how you feel about Jerome Ford at this point.
But at least he has the receiving role.
Kareem Hunt's the goal lineback for Cleveland.
He's going to continue to be the goal line back.
DeShon Watson was fine in this game.
Of course, the one touchdown pass to Amari Cooper was hysterical.
I don't know if you guys saw that.
It hit the defender in the face, popped into the air.
And you could not have put a UPS label.
I will not say FedEx label.
You could not put a UPS label on that ball
and have it overnight into Amari Cooper any better
than it did after it just popped right in.
into his hands for the touchdown.
I mean, yay, Cleveland.
Deshawn Watson played a clean football game.
I think that's probably the most important thing.
He got out of there, didn't get hurt.
Arizona had 58 yards of offense.
Yeah, they're tanking.
They're straight up tanking.
There are 36 plays of more yards this year,
individual plays of more than 58 yards.
They're going to get Tyler back.
They'll try next week, but they did not try this.
Yeah, so here's the thing with Kyler is, by the way, Jonathan Gannon said,
but they asked him, who's your quarterback going to be?
And he goes, I'm not thinking about that right now.
How are you thinking about that right now?
Clayton just threw for 58 yards and two exceptions.
Like, no, you're definitely thinking about that right now.
Like, I mean, even if you know you're not losing your job,
if you lose the rest of the season, you lose 50 nothing every week,
you're probably not losing your job.
How are you not thinking about Kyler Merr?
being your quarterback because at the very least you want your Sundays to be somewhat enjoyable
right like there's a good way there they got to they got to activate kiler so they'll they'll
do that this week but i kind of think they might play tune one more week just keep just keep on tanking baby
they got falcons texans ram steeler's coming up like they could accidentally win a few of those games
with kiler real quick yeah they could real quick and if uh real quick this back flow james
conner's going to be back this week ganon said he's like full go he looks more explosive than he
Yeah, that's what he said.
He looks faster than he was before he was injured.
Yeah, I was like, I don't know about that one.
That seems a little far, but that seems like it's a good bull signal on Connor.
This backfield has been an absolute night.
I mean, DeMarcato is fine for those two games.
Well, when he played.
Yeah, now he's hurt.
Yeah, now he's hurt.
Keontangrim stinks.
Tony Jones is the worst running back in the NFL.
Connor's going to come back and play 89% of the snaps next week.
Back on the Brown's backfield, I think it's notable that Strong only had
five snaps in this game. They think that Ford is back to full strength. You know, whenever Ford and Hunt are off the injury report, we should probably expect Strong to have a minimal role. Ford was dominating snaps. And this was even a, you know, a blowout game. They could have easily gave Strong some, you know, a little bit of run late in the game and they decided not to. So I thought that was at least notable on the Brown side that's pointing up a little bit for Ford and Hunt, at least health-wise and role-wise.
Let's move on to the next game, which is another crap fest.
The Rams and the Packers, the Packers escaped 20 to 3.
Jordan loved 20 and 26 for 228.
I can tell you, I don't think he looked 20 of 26 good, but he didn't turn the ball over,
which is good for him.
Got sacked four times.
And Christian Watson, one catch for 37 yards, and he injures his entire body on it.
earlier in the
earlier in the game he got behind
the defense and
Jordan Love drastically under threw him
I just don't know if it's going to happen
for Christian Watson this year boys
now I was even getting some questions in our discord
this morning to to drop Watson
for like Quentin Johnston
and I'm like I don't
think Quentin Johnston is going to develop
this year but
he's got a great opportunity with Josh Palmer
I said I mean if you're swinging for
the fences I got no
problem with it. You're attached to Justin Herbert instead of Jordan Love. I mean, I think we put it out
on our fantasy points Twitter yesterday that Love stinks. I mean, it's it, it, there were some signs of some
promise early in the season, but I don't think he's hit here for the Green Bay Packers. And I, I can't
trust any of these receivers in a fantasy lineup right now. I don't want to play Romeo Dobbs. If he's not
scoring a touchdown, we're spreading the ball around as well, Donavian Wix is getting involved here.
It's just a complete stayaway right now with this Packers passing game.
The one thing I will say about this team and clearly has to go on the upgrade,
they were absolutely 100% dedicated to seeing if Aaron Jones was the ingredient missing in this offense.
Like, hey, we look great early in week one, you know,
and they gave Aaron Jones 26 opportunities to 10 for Dylan in this game.
They're going to ride Aaron Jones.
Matt LaFlefflor said they were going to do it, and they did it.
And he's a must start for me because I think right now they consider him their most reliable offensive player and for good reason right now.
Yeah, no doubt.
I mean, AJ Dillon will continue to get the boring early down handoffs in between the tackles.
He'll get a couple of goal-line carries.
That was the big thing to me is like, you know, coming into this game when, you know, Dylan and Jones have shared the backfield.
Granted, you know, Jones hasn't been healthy all year.
It's been Dylan in the red zone.
You know, this last week, they gave Jones, you know, some really early goal line opportunities early in the game.
Got them six targets too.
I mean, if there's one thing that Love can do right now, it's kind of hitting those throws into the flats, which is all the more reason why I'm, it's so weird that we're not getting Christian Watson, you know, shallow crossers.
I know, you know, stuff over the middle.
It's just all over the top stuff.
It's like, can't be just a little more creatively?
Yeah, I just, it's, it's, it's definitely more quarterback than coaching, but it's a little bit of.
of it's a little bit of both right now.
But yeah, I'm with you on Aaron Jones.
That's a great call.
He's on the upgrade list for sure.
And on the flip side, the Rams started Brett ripping.
I mean, pray for Stafford in week 11.
They're going on by.
Yeah, we kind of called that on the points for show, Joe.
Like, they have the buy next week.
They're, you know, kind of floundering anyway.
Let Stafford get the full three weeks to heal that thumb and be ready for week 11.
So it seemed like he was trending towards potentially playing.
If that was a five and three team instead of a three and five team,
maybe we see Stafford playing that game.
But for the love of God, please play in week 11
because nobody on this offense is usable
if we have to have Rip and play again.
How many more weeks is it for Kyran?
Sorry, go ahead, Joe.
How many more weeks is it for Kyron?
He can come back.
He's got one more game, so week 12, right?
Yeah, week 12.
Yeah, this run game has not been terribly effective without him.
I mean, nothing was effective.
without Stafford this week.
Yeah, and real quick, Pooka Nakua came to this game with a knee injury.
We were talking about it yesterday, Tom, on the Sunday show.
It was probably a spot to bench Nakua, and it was, but he did not come out of the game with,
you know, obviously, re-injuring the knee.
So he should be wheels up, all good to go in week 11.
Let's move on to Tampa Bay in Houston.
The game of the week, you didn't win shit in DFS if you didn't stack this game.
That's always good when there's one.
game that does that and you're like oh nobody else won anything um Houston C.J. Stroud
continues to break all kinds of records. He didn't have a great game against Carolina last
week and then he had the game against Tampa this week. I mean, I don't know what else to say.
I mean, he's a top 10 fantasy quarterback. He's supporting all these receivers to I,
I can't sit tankdale right now with his with his breakout potential. I can't sit Nico,
even though Nico Collins actually had the quiet game of this group. I can't sit.
him. It's incredible what happened. I picked up Noah Brown right before this game and started him in
a league. Dude, shout out. Shout out to Scott. He loved Noah Brown on the DFS. Yeah. And he was the nuts. No one
played him yesterday in DFS, but he was the absolute nuts. Tank Dell is like an all time. Do you
know ball type of receiver? Because everybody that didn't like him coming on was like, oh, he's too small.
He can't, he can't separate. And you watch two games of him out of Houston. You're like,
okay, this guy can play. And look at that. 11 targets. Six.
one, 14 and two, caught the game winner.
I mean, he can get deep.
He can win in the intermediate areas.
He can get, you know, separate in the, you know, over the middle.
He's an awesome player, man.
And Nico Collins is really good too.
But I have this daydream of them paying T. Higgins this offseason, this coming
off season.
If they pay for T. Higgins and upgrade on Nico and you play it, you put these guys together
with Dell and you get one more guy out of the slot.
like CJ Stroud is the top eight fantasy quarterback.
Yeah. By the way, he also, C.J. Stroud also had the rare 10 yards rushing with no carries stat line.
Yeah, that that pitch play with single. Yeah.
Took a pitch. And here's the most, the other amazing thing about Stroud. They cannot run the football.
They are completely one dimensional.
Completely one dimensional. We kind of figured that coming in this game, Vita Vaila was back.
Yeah. Their bucks are like the ultimate pass funnel.
I was on this and started sit.
I was saying like, I think the volume will rebound.
And, you know, Bucks have given up like 250 or more yards to basically every quarterback that's good all year.
But I mean, 470 is this is the highest in range of outcomes.
And Joe, you know, you started off with like, you're just playing Nico and Dell.
You're playing those dudes as flex, wide receiver two guys like every single week, I think at this point.
Yeah.
Is there any team feeling better about their franchise more coming out of week, week nine than Houston, Texas fans, man?
You got your guy for 15.
The only thing is they don't have their first round pick next year.
I don't give a shit.
You got your guy quarterback.
I don't think they care.
Oh, I'm sure they don't.
I'm just saying like they don't have that other asset to help.
But I mean, what do Will Anderson do in this game?
Oh, he had a sack.
Okay.
There you go.
Yeah.
Yeah, he had a great game against the Saints a couple weeks ago, too.
I was going to say Texans bangles, just to wrap this up is going to be the game of the week next week.
Can't wait.
Oh, yeah.
that's actually going to be really fun.
Yeah, great for that.
Oh, that'll be fun.
That'll be very fun.
Texans and Bengals.
No,
I feel like I was,
I was likening this too because we,
we even didn't even talk about the fact that Dario Gwimbo Wally could kick the game.
Yeah.
The field goal.
Did you guys see Domey Ryan's reaction?
He was trying to like stone face it and like play it cool.
Yeah.
He started smiling and laughing.
Yeah.
This is like one of those games were like,
I was likening it to as an,
as an eagle fan,
the pickle juice game.
When like,
that's,
that was the,
game where you pointed to
if like if you ask any Eagle fan
who grew up in the 90s
and then obviously into the end
when did it feel different
when did it feel like all right
we're about to
go on a run here like
of relevance and
it was the pickle juice game where they
went down and whipped Dallas because
of the pickle juice you know they stayed hydrated
with that and everyone remembers that game
do stay over this is that game
for the Texans fans right like if this
becomes a successful run.
I think we know Steve Schrad had his moments earlier, but the game where he throws for
470 and 5, and Daray Ogunboale kicks the game-winning field goal, and rookie wide receiver
Tank Dell catches two touchdowns.
That is an era starting game for a franchise.
That is something that the fans are going to remember forever.
They're going to be on a high from this.
And if Houston does start to go on a successful run and consistently,
compete with Jacksonville in that division, this is the game people are going to point to.
And, you know, it was a fun game, good for C.J. Stroud, who clearly looks just so confident.
Like, and I got to admit, Tom, you watched a lot of C.J. Stroud. I did not see this guy
at Ohio State. Now, he was prolific, but I saw, I thought he was Jared Gough. I thought he was a
really good pocket passer who you get some pressure all.
on them and you start to see the cracks. And he's better than that right now. And I have to give
him, I think I'm not trying to tell you, Jared Kauf is the top pick in the draft and it started a
Super Bowl, okay? Like there's, there's a lot worse quarterbacks than that in the NFL. But
I feel like C.J. Stroud is better than that right now. Yeah, his deep ball is fantastic.
You know, he throws it all over the field. And he, you're right. He's been way more composed under
pressure. He never really had to face much pressure at Ohio State. And,
That was kind of the knock.
He's playing with the best receivers in the world at Ohio State.
Like the receiving core was better than like half the teams in the NFL at the time with Marvin Harrison, Jr.
And Jackson Smith and Jigba.
And I mean, it's just so there was, I can see why there were some red flags there because of, you know, just the everything he was playing with.
But I think he's clearly answered every question.
And, you know, the Panthers have to be kicking them.
that they let C.J. Straub walk and we'll touch on Bryce Young here in a little bit here.
That was a brutal performance. But CJ Stroudman, he's locked in. And I mean, look out on
AFC with another great starting quarterback. I know, dude. That's the time you read my mind.
That was like kind of the final thought I had is the AFC is just loaded. Oh, believe me.
As somebody that has Kenny Pickett as their starting quarterback, you know, I look at all these other
quarterbacks in the AFC and oh man if we could just get one of those guys right now we'd have a
pretty good chance of doing making some noise in the AFC flipping over to the Buccaneers really
quick um we have to we have to upgrade Rashad White. They tried guys like Kishon Vaughan Chase Edmonds
um they might cut by the way they might cut chase Edmonds he is he has made some absolutely
boneheaded negative plays for them this year. Negative six yards from scrimmage in this game like
I understand what they were doing by the way like Rashad White was struggling to
get three yards on a run. So obviously good coaching, Dave Canales, you know, Todd Bowles,
hey, let's try another back, see what happens. It just turns out the other backs are significantly
worse than Rashad White. And Rashad White gets the most that he can from this blocking. And he's also
a really good receiver. You just have to start Rashad White. All we, he might be one of those
don't watch the game. Just look at the box score after the game kind of guys. And typically,
you'll be happy with his stat line. Yeah, this was another tough
spot for White. He's now faced in seven games. He's faced six defenses that are bottom 12 by
yards per carry allowed. The good news is it gets a lot easier for the bucks. They have the third
easiest strength of schedule remaining. Basically, the entire NFC South has the easiest strength of
schedule remaining. It's just how the way it's going to play out. So, you know, right now, I mean,
I kind of think White would be a pretty good by low if, you know, people are thinking, hey, if you can,
yeah, this is the best, yeah, this is his best game coming off his best game. But like, if you're thinking,
hey, this is like, you know, the highest game he's going to have all year.
Like, I kind of disagree.
I think he's set up for a nice.
Yeah, maybe somebody got, well, Galaxy brain it.
And, you know, I'm going to sell high off a voice.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think, I think this is a nice, like, kind of buy high situation here.
Washington and New England, here's a game where I think if New England fans are watching this game,
they're like, I'd rather have the guy on the other side.
Like, I'd rather have Sam Hal.
You know, Sam Hal, he had the red zone pick that was like,
that was brutal.
He'll do some boneheaded stuff, but I mean, he's got an NFL arm.
He's mobile.
Like, I don't know.
Like I watched Sam Hal and then Tom, not to not the pick on you.
Oh, I don't care.
And I watch Kenny Pick it.
And I'm like, I'd rather have Sam Howl.
I'd rather have Sam Howell as well.
I mean, at least he's willing to, you know, pull the trigger and, you know, he's going to make
one of those bad interceptions a game, but you kind of live with it.
And we finally started, you know, Terry McLaurin has taken off over the last month or so.
And now maybe we're getting Jahan Dotson to finally take off here.
Yeah, baby.
Three pretty strong performances in a row, scored a touchdown in this game against the Patriots.
So now we're, you know, he's getting more confidence and getting those, his two best receivers involved every week.
And this is a team that's slinging it, too.
They're trusting them.
I thought this was going to be.
I didn't know quite what to expect with Bianamy and his background because Rivera just loves to smash the ball into the line of scrimmage, you know, every chance he can get.
But this is a team that has really leaned into the pass here, especially over the last month.
Even as I look at the box score and Brian Robinson had 18 carries, but that's been a kind of an outlier performance over the last six weeks or so.
The thing about Brian Robinson is two weeks ago, we were worried about Chris Roder.
Rodriguez and he hasn't touched the ball since.
Yeah.
Rodriguez hasn't played a, did he play a snap again?
I don't know if he played a snap, but he didn't touch the ball.
And they went back to Robinson after he lost a fumble.
No snaps.
So, I mean, he'll, he's on the back end, RB2 radar for the rest of the year.
Washington just dominated this game.
37 minutes, time of possession, 77 plays.
You know, it's part of the reason why, you know, both B. Robben, Howell, like just had an insane
volume.
I wanted to talk up dots.
And I think there's a little something here for back half, breakout, three straight
games with eight targets. He's got that like kind of twitchiness back. I loved him coming into the
season and he just like basically became a ghost for the first two months of the year.
You know, it was bizarre. You know, the past past heavy offense like Tom is laying out and then,
you know, Dotson and McLaren weren't getting the ball. That was a small part of it too.
Here clearly the top two targets. Dotson was like dropped in a bunch of shallow league. So
if he's still out there or you picked him up on your bench, like good on you. He's looking like a
solid, you know, back half of the year play here with some confidence building here in this
offense. To be fair to Mac Jones. In no universe in 2023 should Jalen Reger be getting six
targets in an NFL game. Oh, did you see the drop? I thought you're going to say,
did you see the drop he had? Oh, and you can say that too. But at least he caught six of them. But like,
Mac Jones has no receivers. I mean, it's that the drop he had over the middle. I can't remember what point of
the game it was. It was a beautiful deep ball for
John's. I mean, it was right in his bread basket, dude.
He's the noise Paul Kelly made
when when he's like, oh, the
a bad drop by a bad drop by a Patriots receiver.
Is that is that Pop Douglas? And then he goes, oh, it's Rayker.
That was probably the play.
He was incense that it was Jaylen Reger out there.
Oh, one of the worst receivers I have ever seen in my life.
They're just grasping at straws, Joe.
They got, I mean, Tyqu-Wan.
I was going to say, they might have a worse receiver on their roster.
Mac Jones did miss Tyquan Fortin early in that game.
He was wide-ass open on a shallow crosser.
It might have been a touchdown, honestly.
That was one of those plays where you're like, that was one of those plays where you're like,
up, New England's losing this game.
Like, he missed Tyquan Thornton was wide open and Mac Jones just threw it three yards in front of them.
This game even had a Remandre-Stevenson 64-yard run.
I don't know if he had like a.
a 14-yard run to this point in the season,
and they still had no business,
no chance of winning this game.
And anecdotally, he looks back.
The mistackled force yards after contact numbers were horrible.
The first two months of the year,
but he looks much better the last couple weeks.
Let's move on.
He's their only chance.
Chicago and New Orleans.
Tom, we said,
I said on the betting show on Friday, the point spread.
I said, you could not get me to lay eight and a half with New Orleans
with a gun to my head.
They won the turnover battle
five nothing and didn't cover
the eight and a half.
They had multiple chances to
cover it late in the game.
Of course, Kaysam Hill picks up a first down
and they can just ice the clock.
Groupie, missing kicks.
Yeah, groupie, missing kicks still.
Yeah, just complete domination here.
And yeah, just a seven point victory
over the Bears. They find
ways to do this and make things interesting
down in New Orleans. They've been playing some
decent ball, but the points don't really add up to, you know, how they've been moving the ball on offense.
You have to play Taysam Hill.
Just you have to do it.
I mean, I'm kidding myself.
I was going to give out his rushing yards prop, and I did not.
By the way, I'm surprised they didn't try to get him the version of the EGOT, the NFL EGOT, the, you know, the, you know, the Emmy, the Grammy, the Oscar and the Tony.
The passing touchdown.
passing in the receiving touchdown,
but he didn't get the rushing touchdown,
which is the easiest leg to get.
Now, does he have to get a return touchdown as well?
I don't think anybody's,
I don't think anybody's ever done that.
So I don't even know if that's,
I don't even know if return touchdowns are possible in the NFL
them today, you know, man, you're right.
Taysen's like rest of season, like what, top eight, nine?
I think.
Light end?
Yeah.
Absolutely.
Two?
I'm like three.
I mean, Andrews and Kelsey are above them for sure.
Hock.
Hawkinson. I would have Ken Cade. Goddard's hurt. So.
Oh, good thing. Goddard's hurt. Yeah. I mean, he's going to get these red zone carries.
Like, yeah. So maybe it's like six. Maybe it's six. I think I might have Trey McBride ahead of them. I think McBride's awesome. But yeah, well, not a Clinton, tunes playing.
There's something there with Tyson Baygent. He obviously has to take care of the ball, but he's mobile. He's willing to pull the trigger, which, you know, we saw the good end, the bad.
of that he turned the ball over four times um and if the bears go to justin fields this week they can
very easily point to he Tyson Bayesian turned the ball over four times if they don't go to
justin fields they can easily say it's a short week um Bayesian's been moving the offense we're
going to give Bayesian one more start um and and quite frankly I kind of feel better about these
receivers if pageant's playing like he at least pulls the trigger we'll we'll see what happens
here it's probably six of one half a dozen of the other yeah we need we need fields for
DJ more. I mean, there's just no downfield throwing in this offense without more.
Yeah, at least that fields will give it. I think they kind of got a practice in for him on Friday to
get him ready for Thursday. We'll obviously find out more from the practice reports this week. But I kind of get the
because this is one of those, they still want to evaluate fields here in the last month, you know,
last couple months of the season. This is a game. It doesn't matter if they win because they have the
Panthers pick anyway on Thursday night. So might as well throw fields back out there. But yeah, I would
certainly feel better about more in the downfield passing going forward. I'm just watching Graham.
He had fireworks going off behind them in our videos video stream here. What the hell? This is the second
time. So I was doing the Tuesday show with Jake, Jake, uh, Jake Chirby, the Rotterriner show and
Britt DeVine and I had balloons going off. I don't know how that happens. I don't know how it happens.
This is the second time this has happened now. I got to, I got to figure this out.
That was fantastic. We got to the bottom of us. Our guy, Trey, I'm going to send this to Tray to put up on
on YouTube because
I like some of the discussions we've had here
but maybe we'll get the fireworks up there.
I don't know what that's going.
One other note on this game,
what the F was the usage of Kamara in this game?
Oh, I don't know.
10% of the snaps.
Jamal Williams at 43%.
They were,
he didn't even play like on the first series of the game.
They're throwing the ball to,
as somebody that had a Kamara over receptions
and he had four catches in the first half,
a little frustrated to see.
Jamal Williams all of a sudden in a 50-50 share with Alvin Kamara.
Camara has not been able to pop an explosive run since he came back.
I mean, there could be an injury underlying.
It could just be a general ineffectiveness.
I mean, he's not been explosive at all on the ground.
Deonté Foreman, I don't think he's giving up this job, by the way.
I know Khalil Herbert can come off of IR, but I mean.
Yeah, that's what I wanted to bring up real quick is what do we want to talk about with this backfield?
Because I think I think you're right.
I don't care about it.
like at the point where I just whatever if you want to play somebody from that very like good luck um because I think what is Herbert eligible to come off for this next week yeah or next week next week no this coming week against the other yeah that will be interesting because they play Thursday night we'll see he doesn't get the full week to get ready for it probably my guess would be he wouldn't come back in which case for him would be a really strong RB2 honestly because Panthers are so bad against the run um Carolina and Indy um
Look, I didn't see a ton of this game because I try to disconnect a little bit after the, after the, the serious show.
I don't think Red Zone showed it at all.
So you didn't really, other than the two pick six returns.
Were they as bad as I'm hearing?
The screen one was one, maybe one of the worst throws I've seen a quarterback make.
I mean, he was just five yards behind him, five yards over his head.
It was just complete.
I mean, I don't know what he saw, honestly.
He'd have to ask him.
Bryce is, there's one thing he does well right now,
and it's escape pressure.
Everything else is, it's really, really rough, really, really.
I thought he played well last week against Houston, you know,
and this is a step back.
And, I mean, I hate that Frank Reich has to be asked.
Are you benching?
Now, like, you can't go there.
I think you can, Joe.
I think at this point with him, we just haven't seen enough.
I think there might be like,
hey, let's let him reset again.
You know, he had, he picked up a minor injury.
They did do that with Tua with Miami, you know.
Yeah.
Yeah, no, I think at this point, you know, you don't,
you don't want to risk a confidence loss.
Yeah, we got a, you know, one other only times is they're going to be on like a prime time,
you know, TV, you know, do they, maybe they don't want to subject them to getting absolutely
shilled on, on Thursday night.
Yeah.
Like, you know, they have a really easy remaining schedule.
They get Dallas coming up in week 11 to like, you know,
maybe it would be a good time to like let Dalton make a couple starts and then let
make an injury yeah let Bryce kind of come back and see if you can get yeah Dallas
Dallas in week 11 you know the thing is though they play the bears this week and that's not
yeah you know that's not the worst spot in the world you know they I guess Chicago does
still have Jaylon Johnson and Montez sweat now but yeah that's uh I mean I don't know what else
I think you still have to play feeling right and even if this is this is this
This was a really bad, like the first bad matchup he's had all year because, you know,
Bryce Young's been so bad against.
So I actually wrote this up in the mismatch.
Yeah.
Kenny Moore is great in the slot.
Yeah.
And Colts are really good in the slot.
But like he didn't get his first target until like, I want to say the third quarter of this game,
maybe the late second quarter.
Mingo, just four targets, one catch for five.
I mean, it's, it's going to be pulling teeth with this passing game.
The last thing is the lead back.
Miles Sanders, although Sanders had a couple good runs in this one.
and he also had targets.
He had a terrible drop.
He had a horrific drop too.
That's far for the course.
Yeah.
Indianapolis.
I mean,
Josh Downs thing.
Carolina is bad against the run, but it didn't really matter in this game.
Thankfully, Jonathan Taylor caught a touchdown pass.
Josh Downs came in with the knee injury.
I think Indianapolis probably knew early on that this was not going to be a terribly competitive game.
And you could pull Josh Downs, but certainly somebody we've got to watch because he is a
he's a guy you could fire up as a wide receiver three when he's healthy.
Yeah, he didn't last very long.
I don't even know if it was that they had it in control, you know, 12 snaps.
It was a pretty early pull for him.
So must not, you know, that knee must not have been reacting well once the, you know, the game started.
So I hope this doesn't like turn into like a Josh Palmer situation where he kind of aggravated it on last week.
And then he ends up on IR here for the next four weeks.
So hopefully we avoid that type of situation here with Josh Downs.
Yeah, and I put Taylor as an upgrade.
You know, just finally got the huge, the huge role.
Moss took a big, you know, backstep.
So kind of what we expected.
Let's move to the Raiders and the Giants and not spend too much time on this one.
Poor Danny.
I honestly kind of feel bad for Danny.
I feel terrible for Daniel Jones.
There's a cloud hanging over this franchise.
There is not a worst team in football right now, right?
they are at the bottom of my power ratings now.
They are well at the bottom, too.
They're going to have to sign somebody, right?
I mean, it's going to be Matt Barkley, probably.
Oh, my,
they signed him a couple weeks ago.
I mean, how about DeVito?
Yeah, they brought up Barclay.
Yeah, I think they brought up Barclay,
what was it two weeks ago when Daniels was out?
I mean, yeah.
I feel bad for Sequin Barkley.
Yeah.
What a talented player just wasted.
How does he?
He was working off.
They didn't trade them.
They want to keep the face of the franchise
to lose the rest of their games this season.
They aren't getting anything for them.
So how about this?
They are, I'm going to go to Drafking Sportsbook right now.
I think it's 16.
This is Iowa level stuff here, Tom.
This is the Cowboys are favored by 15 and a half.
The total is 39 and a half.
Yes. In an NFL game.
So yeah, let's say that's like an implied total of what 12?
12. Yeah, somewhere in that.
Caboley's defense is the number one defense playing the week, obviously next week.
They're going to score like 19 points and be like the RB5.
Whoever the Giants are playing every week is the number one defense of the week at this point.
That's where we're, that's what we're turning towards.
And by the way, the Giants cannot get out of Daniel Jones's contract next year.
So he'll have, you know, an ACL tear to recover from.
He should.
Yeah.
Barkley will probably be gone.
Loller and Barclay or not.
Let's be generous and say they win two games the rest of the way.
They're still going to have a top five pick.
So they're going to be right.
They're going to draft quarterback.
Yeah, they will.
Yeah, they could turn it around fast if they hit on, you know.
Well, yeah, they'll draft a quarterback.
Anyway, entire offense downgraded.
I mean, Sequin's going to get the ball, but it's going to be like Alexander Madison.
getting the ball because you could key on them.
I mean, I just put Sequin on the down list too.
It's just that this office is going to struggle to put 20 points.
I'm going to take a wild guess and say Darren Waller's not going to play another snap this
year.
No, he will not.
He went on IR.
They have a buy in week 13.
They might just shut in, shut it.
Yeah, we might write that up because we did get a lot of questions about that.
So we could say, I'll put him.
Yeah, he's down.
He's down.
Just drop him.
Josh Jacobs got going.
And the Raiders are like, have exercise.
size the demons. How about those
guys smoking the victory cigars?
So good.
The Raiders are not a serious franchise,
but like, you know, they've been
coming into a job
where they hate their boss
for two years. Like, you know, like
and while you're smoking
the cigars, baby. Yeah, so they
don't hate Antonio Pierce, who by the way,
if like, look, Devante Adams
apparently, Delante Adams had
four for 34 in this game.
And Antonio Pierce got him to give a post
game speech. So the vibes are good right now for the Raiders, you know? He didn't have a target in the
first half, Joe. Yeah, I don't understand that. Yeah. So the vibes are good. I'd feel a little bit better
about my Raiders right now. Like if I had them on my team, at least they're going to rally around
Antonio Pierce. And if they like Antonio Pierce, they want him to keep the job. And there is a talk that,
you know, and especially for Mark Davis, who's paying out like $130 billion to fired coaches,
somebody like Antonio Pierce who probably isn't going to cost as much as say Jim Harbaal will
and Jim Harbaal will be coaching in the NFL next year by the way.
If they want them.
If anybody wants it.
After this Michigan thing, yeah, he'll probably bail, I bet.
Yeah.
So Antonio Pierce probably isn't going to cost as much as him.
And maybe, you know, Mark Davis is like, hey, let's get a players coach in the building.
I feel like just on vibes, I'd probably feel better about my Raiders.
even if a guy like Devante Adams didn't produce big numbers in this game.
Yeah, I don't think he's going to, you know, return, whatever you draft, you know,
late first round, second round.
He's, he's not that guy right now with this quarterback situation.
And, uh, but maybe can like, eke out like, come on, just be like a wide receiver two down the stretch.
It's been like pulling teeth here, but, uh, I believe they have a pretty good match.
I have that written down.
Yeah, they got the Jets next week.
So it's another tough matchup, uh, for Devante Adams.
It could get, you know, stay ugly here.
But yeah, I'm with you, Joe.
I'd feel a little bit better if I had Jacobs and Adams and Jacobi Myers right now.
But still need to see a little more out of the quarterback.
He really wasn't asked to do much in this.
And, you know, we're playing with a pretty limited sample right now.
But need a little bit more out of the quarterback moving forward.
Yeah, they have a brutal stretch coming up here, Jets, Dolphins, and Chiefs.
So it'll, it's going to be pretty pretty tight here for that.
the vibes are good this week.
Yeah, Jacobs will at least get dump-offs in those games.
You know, if they get dusted, you know, that's the thing.
I hesitated putting his Jacobs as an upgrade.
I mean, I think he, I think we could give him a small one.
I'll put him on there.
Yeah, we'll give him a small one.
Let's move on to Philly and Dallas.
I still am not sure what I even saw in this game.
Like, I tweeted this out, and I think I firmly believe it.
I can't believe either team won that game.
and I can't believe either team lost that game.
I have no idea how the Eagles won.
I have no idea how the Cowboys lost.
And if you flipped it,
I would say I have no idea how the Cowboys won
and I have no idea how the Eagles lost.
It was a wild game.
The refs are going to need Tommy John surgery after that one.
20 penalties, Joe.
Just like, and you know, some stuff on both sides.
But anyway, the Eagles win.
Jalen Hertz, here's the key.
Jalen Hertz said the quote was selfishly, the buy could not come in a better time.
Yeah.
Yeah, he's been kind of skating the questions on the knee, but we saw it.
You know, he even had to go back to the half, you know, back to the locker room.
Little early before halftime.
They gave him the good stuff at halftime.
He's very clearly, nonetheless, he was dropping dimes in that game.
Well, his knee buckled into what, two players later, he drops the dime, the Devontas
Smith for that touchdown.
I mean, he's, he's unbelievable.
Yeah, he's playing really well.
Dallas Goddard is going to probably go on IR, which is brutal for the Eagles, given their
upcoming stretch.
They have, they have the buy, which is obviously huge for them.
Then they play the Chiefs at the Chiefs.
They get home against the Bills, home against the Niners.
Then they go to Dallas.
and then they go to Seattle.
It's pretty brutal.
I don't know if we're going to be seeing him
the rest of the regular.
This is probably at least a four to six week.
Yeah, it's a four-arm injury, by the way, for a...
They said surgery could be involved.
Yeah, it could be one of those things where, like,
they go in there and they see how bad it is,
and it might be a six to eight weeks.
Yeah, and I think Gronk was five or six weeks.
I think Gronk had a similar.
injury. He missed five or six weeks. And then he came back with that huge thing. Yeah, Goddard's going to come
back with the bionic arm. Yeah. Just knocking people over. Gronk had those guerrilla arms and it made
them just look even bigger, you know, like out there. Anyway, the Eagles are the Eagles. I mean,
they haven't run the ball really well, but remember, they've had kind of a revolving door at right
guard. Cam Juergens was eligible to come off IR this week. They'll bring him back after the
buy. That'll probably help.
matters.
And, and other than that, I mean,
AJ Brown and DeVante Smith get the ball.
And AJ Brown and Devonte Smith are going to continue to get the ball
because Dallas Goddard is probably going to miss some time.
So, yeah, I kind of think it might be.
I'm not going to write it up,
but this is a slight upgrade for Devante Smith.
No Goddard.
You know, obviously his season has been so up and down.
Three targets in this game looked great again.
But, you know, just taking out Goddard, you know,
hopefully a few of those extra targets on.
I think we could put that as an upgrade.
I mean, I mean, we're not going to start throwing Holyo Jones six targets
a game.
Yeah, Julio might play a few more snaps just to get another receiving threat on the field.
Nice little bump for Smith here.
Okay.
Yeah.
On Dallas's side, I mean, see, see the Jake Ferguson's a tight end one.
I love that Mike McCarthy discovered that he has CD Lamb on his roster after their buy.
He's actually, they're throwing targets to him, you know, two consecutive games here.
Yeah, how about that?
30 targets in his last two.
Brandon Cooks is dead.
Yeah.
He's done.
They're throwing the ball to Jalen.
I mean,
everybody's criticizing them for throwing the ball to Jalen Tolbert on that fourth down.
Even Toler should be playing more.
Yeah,
but he should,
yeah,
I mean,
like,
I'd rather be playing ahead of him than,
than Michael Gallup,
you know.
They're both dead.
They did not challenge the Eagles on the perimeter at all in this game,
at all.
And it was,
they don't have the talent.
It was all to the middle of the field.
And like,
I could not believe that Brandon Cooks was an eighth.
round pick this year. That was like the easiest fate of all time. I was the easiest fate of all time. I mean,
he's, he's toast. Gallup hasn't been right since the ACL. That's a good, honestly, that's a really
sharp call. They should be playing Jay one Tolbert. They should. I mean, maybe this is the start of it. I mean,
he made a couple of plays in this game and there was a lot, you know, not a lot, but there was some buzz out of
camp that he. He made a few plays in that Patriots game earlier in the year too. And I was like,
damn, you know, maybe, maybe they start playing it more than they didn't. Forty one of snaps. Uh,
We'll see both cooks and Cooks and Gallup.
Oh, Gallup was down at 48% share.
So maybe that is something to keep an eye on here.
Maybe Tolbert's coming along.
You know, they actually had a good offensive game plan.
Throw the ball to the middle of the field.
The Eagles, that is something the Eagles need to shore up over the buy.
The one thing I will say is they've been playing a rookie safety at slot corner.
Sidney Brown is not a good matchup on CD Lamb.
And I think you saw that.
But remember, the Eagles signed Bradley Robey.
and then he immediately like blew his shoulder out,
he probably will be back after the buy.
So that's going to be really interesting to see
if the Eagles can sure up some things in the middle of the field
over the buy because that's very clearly.
I mean, it's not even as a team.
It is that is their number one, two and three weakness
is defending the middle of the field.
And who do you get next week or out of the buy?
Kansas City who can only throw the ball to the middle of the field.
So it's going to be fascinating to see what that game is like.
And Tony Pollard.
I mean, guys.
Jesus.
44 passes and he finishes with three for 12 receiving.
Yeah, three for 12 receiving.
I saw a cowboy beatwriter and I forget who it was.
Pollard did have a 15-yard run.
And by the way, the Eagles have a really good run defense.
We know that.
Yeah.
We knew it was going to be tough on the ground.
He had a 15-yard run.
And the cowboy beat writer said,
I can't help but think Pollard goes for 50 on that last year.
Because there was a hole.
we've been saying that a couple times to see that Chargers game whenever he had that 60 yards like it looked like he was going to pull away and got run there was yeah there was a play yesterday too it wasn't just a 15 yarder but it was a quick quick reception in the flat where it's just going up the boundary he just does not have the same juice all that being said we just talked about the giants they're going to get 16 17 points at home against the giant like pollard's going to you would think Pollard is like why would you drop that press got back 40 times in that game you know the uh the uh
The upcoming schedule is pretty sexy for Pollard, Giants, Panthers, and commanders.
Commanders obviously just got road graded by Ramander Stevenson.
Yeah, so.
All right.
We'll tell John.
Put him on the trade article.
He's going to come around one of these times, one of these weeks.
I traded Rashad White for Tony Pollard in a league a couple weeks ago.
And I was like, that's a steel.
That's going to look pretty good here, I think.
Yeah.
Still has some time, Joe.
Not feeling so hot about it right now.
I'll tell you that much.
Cincinnati and Buffalo.
Cincinnati wins 24 to 18.
Jamar Chase doesn't do anything in this game.
Burrow goes for 348 and 2.
I mean, Burroughs right now is playing as well as anybody.
I mean, Cincinnati.
I love Cincinnati for fantasy.
Burroughs going for 3.48 and two touchdown.
Then the touchdown's going to sample and Smith.
Come on.
Oh, man.
Collinsworth was slobbering Tanner Hudson last.
Collinsworth is unlistenable.
He is unlistenable these days.
So here's what you've got to do, though, Graham.
It's like with Phil Sims back in the day.
You just got to embrace the hilarity.
Yeah.
Oh, my.
I'm a slumbering.
I will say, Higgins looked fantastic last night.
He did.
Winning those contested catches on the sideline.
And Burroughs showing full faith in all men.
The snaps were up to 86%.
He's been kind of hovering.
around that 60% mark even out of the buy last week.
So, you know, Higgins is a guy that's looking a little stronger here for down the stretch.
And, you know, maybe, maybe Chase won't be seeing 15 targets a game like he seemingly has been the last month or so.
Yeah, I had Higgins as a buy low.
I'm putting him on the upgrade list.
Yeah.
Burrow is fully back, man.
I mean, the pocket mobility is all there.
I wanted to flip it over to the bill's side real quick.
Gabe Davis gets two targets, drops one of them, and goes over.
So the week after they finally get them, you know, kind of some short intermediate targets,
he turns right back into Gabe.
Fun stuff.
They'll get Leonard Fournet ramped up this coming week, too.
This is dead.
Yeah, well, they were, you know, Collinsworth and Tariko were kind of hammering.
You know, these guys talk to like how much they love Latavius and tax protection.
And, you know, it doesn't look like it's going to be happening.
for James Cook here as well.
You know, at least he got the four targets in the game,
but the past protection stuff is,
it's pretty really,
it's a broken offense.
Like,
it's literally,
all it is is like,
Josh,
go make a play.
That is their offense.
Well,
that's why I was,
that's why I was a little encouraged by the game usage last week.
You know,
they got them all those shallow targets,
kind of hit them in the intermediate areas,
quick timing passes,
and that just,
that just was gone.
I mean,
it's completely.
Kincade,
is his Cole Beasley.
He's,
he's in the Cole Beasley role right now.
Just get open.
the underneath and had kind of like the game killing fumble, but man, he's really good.
I mean, I can't blame him.
I mean, that was a tough.
He got somersaulted and, you know, it was a great play by Pratt to jar it loose.
But, I mean, Concade, I mean, just lock them up for five catches for 50 yards every week right now while Knox is out of the lineup.
The only thing I wanted to add is Josh Allen is back running.
This is something I think is going to have to continue.
They're five and four.
Like they're battling in the AFC right now.
This kind of started in that Patriots game.
Last three games, seven, seven, eight carries, all three of which would have been season
highs.
The previous games, I mean, his season high was six.
And that was week one against the Jets where they couldn't do anything offensively because
he threw three picks.
This is something that's going to continue to run here.
Like, Alan is going to run.
This is, you know, this kind of.
And this seems to kind of happen whenever they're, you know, they're running a lot more
11 personnel.
They're spreading the ball.
You know, he's kind of the run.
You know, he's, they were saying on the broadcast last night that he's going to have to be the running
game.
Colonsworth, by the way, just genius quote.
He's like, yeah, what makes Josh Allen?
Josh Allen is the running.
I'm like, maybe what Josh Matt makes Josh Allen is the bazook of a
freaking arm he has.
He can throw it 75 yards in air, Chris.
Maybe that's what makes it.
But like here, the thing about this, though, is like,
you look at the box score and you're just like this.
And look, you have Josh Allen, okay?
You can't take that away.
He's a force multiplier.
But like, you look at the box score and you're like,
they're literally asking him to do everything.
Yeah. There's no plays.
It's just like, it's just like, yep, all right.
We're going to fire Dorsey, man.
Like, I would think they are.
And like, what was the interception he threw, Alan through?
I think it might have been intended for Davis, a down the less.
It was.
Yeah, it was.
It was nice coverage.
That throw was never there, though.
It was just like, yeah, the pro he tried to make was never made.
Yeah, he, he needed to throw that another five, you know, let Gabe get down a field a little bit more.
Get away from that, you know, zone coverage.
You know, he put it all on.
You know?
Yeah, they played a cover two, and he just like floated it up.
DB got right underneath it.
Yeah, it just.
That was the only really negative play he had.
I mean, he has one or two of those every week where he's going to throw a bad, like, mystifying pick.
But, I mean, he's playing really well, I think.
