Week 15, fantasy football, top 10 takeaways, instant reactions, and the latest breaking news you need to know from the fantasy football playoffs right here on fantasy points.
Let's get it.
What?
What?
Why are you shaking your head?
You're welcome.
All right, we're here.
week 15, it's officially fantasy football playoff time
and it's been like a really wild, wild start to it.
There's been some extremely high scores.
This is not a week you're going to skate by.
I know a lot of you are going to be watching the show
and you're going to feel this one.
This is not a week where you skated by with like a low score
and you get through to the next round.
This is a week where if you wanted to get through,
you had to score a high number.
Because a bunch of fantasy players put up
big, big numbers when it matters the most, and we had no teams on buy week. So you had a full
slate of games and a bunch of smash weeks, really, really tilting stuff. Fantasy points has
you covered all throughout the fantasy football playoffs. In most of your leagues, you're going to be
in your final fours in a couple of days here. So I'm recording this before Sunday night football,
obviously before Monday night football, but most of these matchups are relatively settled. I'm sure
some of you guys have a sweat with Sunday night action, with Monday night.
in action. But this has really been a wild, wild week. And we're going to start off right
out the top. There's so many ways we could go with this one. Thursday night was a really,
really tilting one. But let's talk about the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. And let's talk
about what Liam Cohen is able to do. Liam Cohen is the quarterback whisperer. And Liam
Cohen is the running back whisperer. 2024, Baker Mayfield,
41 touchdown passes.
QB4 overall in points per game last year.
Again, 41 touchdown passes.
Baker Mayfield had his best season as a pro under Liam Cohen in Tampa Bay.
It's one of the reasons Liam Cohen got this job in Jacksonville.
And what are we seeing now?
We're seeing a late season surge from Trevor Lawrence,
who is now up to QB7 in points per game on the season after this insane.
smash week in week 15. Trevor Lawrence has become a huge edge play in Superflex leagues.
For a lot of you, he hasn't necessarily had to be on the streaming radar in single QB leagues,
but he absolutely should be. And this is a week where he proved it. Bad defense for the Jets.
I get it. The opponent wasn't good in this one. But this was a master class, a quarterback who's
trending up at the right time. And when you get this opportunity to
to beat up on somebody and you put up numbers like this, it's very reassuring. That's part of the
game in fantasy football. These are not all going to be like really tough defenses versus us each
week. There's going to be weeks like this where you want to see smash weeks from this sort of an
offense and you got one. Trevor Lawrence, 330 passing yards, five touchdown passes. He also
adds five carries for 51 yards and a touchdown as a runner. He now has 23 passing touchdowns. He's
going to set a new career record, maybe next week. It's a low bar. It's like 25. He's also at
302 rushing yards, and he's going to set a new record there. So much like Baker Mayfield,
thriving under Liam Cohen, and we've seen four out of the last five games for Trevor Lawrence
where he's finished as a QB1. And the only game where he didn't finish as a QB1, he was the
QB13 overall, which is basically a QB1. So he's been a top top.
12 QB now in five straight, excuse me, four out of the last five weeks, and QB 13 is the floor.
Absolutely sensational.
Liam Cohen, also the running back whisperer.
Last year we saw Bucky Irving as one of the more impactful late round picks you could have made at the running back spot.
Now, Travis ETN was not quite as late a pick.
You're having to use somewhere in that late dead zone, seventh round, eighth round, ninth round,
Somewhere in that wheelhouse, Travis ETN was rarely selected inside of the sixth round.
And if that happened, your league was a one-off.
Most of the drafts I was in, somewhere in that seventh, eighth, ninth round, depending on what month it was, depending on sort of where your league was going.
But ETN is proving to be like Trevor Lawrence, a player who has really benefited from this Liam Cohen system.
ETN had a season high 31.5 points scored in week 15, gets you a season high in the first week
of the fantasy playoffs, sensational. And he did it as a receiver. Three catches, 73 yards, three
touchdown grabs look like Clemson, ETN out there. He's averaging nearly 16 points per game
and he has 12 touchdown scores on the year. And he's got 19 points or more in four out of his
last five games played. The Liam Cohen narrative is incredible. And Liam Cohen, 10 and 4,
and when you think about it, they lost Travis Hunter for the year. And they've been able to be
fine here. So the player that they traded all this draft capital for, including their 2026 first
round pick, he's done for the year and they're still 10 and 4. They'll get back Hunter next year.
year two for Liam Cohen, they could take a big step forward, even more than we're seeing this year.
They could move into like real AFC contender.
Not sure how far they're going to go in the playoffs, but I think this is a team with the way their defense is trending.
If they can get that home field, you like their chances to win a game in the playoffs.
And then anywhere you get after that, you're talking about house money with Liam Cohen being in year one.
The Liam Cohen effect is real in fantasy football.
Awful injuries.
Got to talk about the awful injuries.
Not all positives.
Pour one out for Patrick Mahomes.
If you have Mahomes in a Super Flex League, that's a tough putt, man.
That's a really tough putt.
I got one of those.
I have a league where it's a Super Flex League.
I lost Mahomes.
The team's going to get by this week.
So I'll be into like the Final Four.
But no Mahomes.
That's a really, really big problem.
Really strong season from him.
The Chiefs are for fantasy.
The Chiefs are not going to make the playoffs.
Patrick Mahomes torn ACL, about as bad as it gets.
Then you've got the Micah Parsons injury, so we're talking fantasy football,
but the Green Bay Packers certainly get destroyed on this one.
Green Bay loses Micah Parsons.
I don't have all the injury clarity on this one, but it was a knee injury.
Looked really, really bad.
Then you've got Devante Adams pulled up on a hamstring injury.
He's been sort of nursing a bad hamstring,
and he pulled up on a non-contact injury here, looked bad, didn't look good.
Woody Marks, ankle injury, Christian Watson, chest injury.
Devin Neal left the game as well.
Like, we're running out of players here.
There's two weeks left for fantasy managers,
and there's going to be fantasy managers scrambling,
using their benches in some leagues where waivers are done.
And then in leagues where there still are waivers,
people are going to be picking up people in week 15,
not what we signed up for
but it's in a game of attrition
and we've got two more weeks to go
so keep rolling with the punches

Speaking of Rolling with the Punches, Buffalo and New England had a showdown today.
This was a huge, huge, huge litmus test for the New England Patriots,
a chance to make a statement and to solidify the one seat in the AFC.
Specifically the AFC East, Buffalo is, excuse me, New England's still in
good shape here. But they go up big in this one and then it all falls apart. The Buffalo Bills win
3531, huge comeback, 28 second half points for the bills in this one. Two consecutive weeks of
like thrillers from the Buffalo Bills. Three touchdown passes from Josh Allen. The big story though
fantasy wise, James Cook. James Cook just continues to put up fantasy numbers, continues to
shine. 22 carries 107 yards and two touchdown runs and he adds a touchdown grab. James
Cook is having a better season fantasy-wise than his 2024-18 touchdown year, which many
people predicted there'd be regression from. James Cook is one of the most undervalued players
in fantasy football. I think he's going to be a second round pick in 2026 after being an 80-piece
steal this year and in 2024. When you look at the bills here, they're now 10 and 4, one game
behind New England and the AFC East. And the Pats now have another like difficult matchup next
week. They're going to go up against a Baltimore Ravens team that look good today, completely
shut down Cincinnati. And that's a prove it game for New England on the road, Sunday night
football next week in week 16. That's a tilting game for a lot.
of Patriots fans, and specifically fantasy managers alike.
Buffalo's got a chance here.
Their next game is, they're one game behind, and Buffalo plays Cleveland next week on the road.
Always tricky because of the cold, but you'd expect Buffalo to win, you know, not like
Buffalo can't play in the cold, but those games in Cleveland can get a little weird when it gets
this time of year.
Cleveland got smoked by Chicago, though.
It should be Buffalo rolling Cleveland next week.
and then you've got Philly in Buffalo in week 17, big, big game for the bills there.
They could win both of those games.
They could get hot here as the season ends.
And speaking of getting hot as the season ends,
Trevion Henderson post-by week, Monster, out-touched Ramandre Stevenson, 16 to 9,
14 carries 148 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
He had a 52-yard rushing touchdown and a 65-yard rushing touchdown.
this is the big play explosive ability like we saw at ohio state
henderson now has three games with 28 points or more in the season
and i think much like james cook if we're doing like our way too early projections of
where guys are going to be drafted if you're saying to yourself man this travion henderson guy
he's going to blow up in year two i'm going to draft travion all offseason long
this is my guy next year well you better get ready to
because there's going to be a lot of people saying that.
An explosive player like this heading into year two,
he's a lock to go inside of like the second round.
Two, three turn at the floor.
Trayvion Henderson trending up for the rest of the season.
Remandre Stevenson's going to be involved.
But there's a trust factor here after a game like this,
and you can't put this one back in the bag.
Mike Vrable, Josh McDaniel,
they might really like Remandre Stevenson.
But these sort of explosive big plays,
these are this is a sort of dangerous player that you have to get the ball in his hands
ripping off two 50 plus yard touchdowns this travion henderson's the real deal and if you have
him in week 16 you have them in week 17 you feel like you have an edge pick that can end up
helping you win your league the narrative shift for travion henderson is crazy first seven weeks of
the year six weeks of the year people are calling him one of the biggest busts there was jokes
about this guy. A lot of people are going to be deleting their posts on X if they were saying
negative things about Trayvion Henderson. He is the real deal, and I think we're going to see it
in the next two weeks. Speaking of real deal, Bejohn Robinson, Thursday night, goes nuts.
Rahim Morris called him the best player in the NFL after the game. And he was giving an interview
and he said that Bejon Robinson is the best player in football right now. And I think he might be right.
no hyperbole. Bejohn's an incredible, incredible talent. Had his fourth 30-point game of the season,
he's got 4.30 burgers this year. 19 carries 93 yards on a touchdown, and then he adds eight
catches for 82 yards as a receiver. He's second among all running backs with 64 catches on the
year, and fantasy football weeks for Bejon Robinson managers were decided on Thursday. You go into
your week with this sort of a cushion.
you're feeling great.
And the crazy thing, Bejohn was not even the leading score on his team.
Kyle Pitts went absolutely nuts.
If you play tight end premium FFPC, Pitts had 50 plus in this one.
He had the fifth most fantasy points all time by a tight end,
11 catches, 166 yards, and three touchdown grabs on 12 targets.
This is his third straight week with top five tight end finishes.
So again, he's been a top five tight end on the week.
three straight weeks.
Kyle Pitts is now tight-in three overall on the season.
Kyle Pitts is also about to get the bag this off-season.
We'll talk about free agents on Fantasy Football Daily at some point early in the off-season,
but Kyle Pitts' name needs to be circled in ink.
He's going to be a huge free agent this off-season.
There's going to be a number of teams who look at him as a potential edge pickup that can
immediately help their passing game, immediately help the quarterback.
Kyle Pitts is 25 years old.
This is a big one to keep an eye on.
Got to also talk about Josh Jacobs.
Josh Jacobs is an absolute Terminator.
We thought Josh Jacobs was going to miss this game.
There was a whole discourse on Emmanuel Wilson,
middle of the week, end of the week.
The whole discourse was Josh Jacobs would miss the game.
Emmanuel Wilson would be viable
and may be viable for the rest of the playoffs.
Jacobs not only plays, but he thrives.
12 carries 73 yards and a touchdown as a runner
and then two catches for 19 yards as a receiver
and it was a big touchdown grab for him
a really really good one this game
this was not some little dump off
he made a real play in the end zone on this one
and we remember sort of the difficulties
Josh Jacobs had as a receiver
scoring touchdowns that chip is sailed
multiple receiving touchdowns this year for Jacobs
and he's on a generational run as a Green Bay Packer
and I'm not, you know, hyping him.
No hyperbole here.
But he's got 30 touchdowns in 30 games as a Packer.
This is one of the best two-year runs in franchise history.
14 touchdowns this year, 16 last year.
He's top 10 in Green Bay Packer seasons.
That 16 touchdown season is top 10 all-time for the most in Green Bay Packers history.
He could end up having two top-10 all-time seasons as a Green Bay Packer.
Absolutely wild, wild stuff.
Unbelievable run.
30 touchdowns, 30 games as a Green Bay Packer.
Another game that really was a huge one for fantasy.
The Lions and the Rams faced off, and we knew this one was going to be a big one.
The total for this game was insanely high, and this game flew over.
4134, L.A.
L.A. wins an important game, the latest version of the Matt Stafford Revenge game and the Jared
Goff Revenge game as well, these quarterbacks both played well. Both of these guys had
well over 300 passing yards, two passing touchdowns for Stafford, three for Jared Goff.
But the story was the receivers. An incredible, incredible, like individual head-to-head matchup.
Puka Nakua, nine catches 181 yards on 11 targets. He had seven for 167 last week, also with 11
targets. Nakua's trending up, big time. And we had a scare where Puka got hurt, left the
game, then came back in, I mean like a nightmare scare, especially after the Devante Adams injury,
but Puka's fine, finished out the game. Amman Ross St. Brown, 13 catches, 164 yards,
two touchdowns on 18 targets. All of those numbers were season highs for Amon Ross St.
Brown, and he had his 11th touchdown catch in the season. We also saw James,
Williams shine. Seven catches, 134 yards and a touchdown on nine targets. So great game to
play everybody, played your Rams, played your Lions, the running backs thrive to. A little quiet
from Jemir Gibbs, but we'll see Jemir Gibbs in week 16, week 17. I'm sure he's going to bounce back big.
He's Mr. December most of the time. Maybe it's just a phase you're going through.
You'll get over it. I can't help you with that. The next appointment is in six months.
You're not alone.

Another player trending up.
The Houston Texans roll the Arizona Cardinals 40 to 20.
And we saw Nico Collins just go nuts here.
Nico Collins had, first of all, like if we look at Nico Collins, what he's been doing,
61 targets over his last seven games played, but he has his first multi-score game of the season.
C.J. Stroud is also playing very well lately. The numbers sort of show that,
but Collins had three catches for 85 yards, two touchdowns. So only four targets, but it didn't matter.
again he's a beast he's an alpha fourth game with 21 plus ppr points in his last six games played
and 61 targets over his last seven games played nico collins is looking really really good in this
one uh and i think he's trending up for the rest of the season when you look at collins like
this sort of usage where they've just committed to him as being the offensive focal point
well next week he's got the Las Vegas Raiders coming to Houston and then week 17 on the road in
LA that's going to be an important game for both the Chargers and the Texans Texans improved
a 9 and 5 in this one the Chargers are 10 and 4 so this could have playoff ramifications
in week 17 and also a game where we're happy to have Nico Collins because he's an absolute beast
another player who's sort of trending up we talked about Trayvion Henderson post by
week. Let's talk about Tyrone Tracy post-by week. The New York Giants lose to the Washington
commanders 29 to 21. If you're a Giants fan, you're probably like, okay, I don't mind losing
this one because we're still the number one pick in the NFL draft. And the Giants are going to get
an absolute fortune on the market for selling the number one overall pick if they don't choose
to use it. So they can either take the best player in the draft or they can trade it to a
quarterback needy team who probably wants to draft Fernando Mendoza, Heisman Trophy winner Fernando
Mendoza. But what's interesting is we had a little bit of discussion as to which Giants running
back are you more confident in coming out of the buy week. And it's easily Tyrone Tracy. Tyrone Tracy
goes nuts in this one. Really, really a positive game for him. 15 carries for 70 yards and a
touchdown. Devin Singletary only had five carries in this one and only 13 rushing yards. So
huge edge there. Tracy also has three catches for 27 yards and a touchdown as well.
Singletary only one target to Tracy's three. So Tyrone Tracy trending up for the rest of the season.
And when we look at their schedule, week 16 against Minnesota in New York, that's a game that
I think the Giants like hopefuls are going to be optimistic about them getting a win there, again,
if they want to win. And then week 17 against Vegas, that game's going to be wild.
because Vegas right now would be picking second.
They need a quarterback, and the Giants don't need a quarterback.
So is this a game where both teams sort of lay down here?
I mean, you always get these conspiracy theories.
I know NFL players are all trying to win and trying to put up numbers.
Defenders are going to try to play defense.
Offensive players are going to try to score.
But you always wonder when there's this sort of a weird game.
So week 17, one versus two, but Tyrone Tracy trending up,
and got to talk about Tray McBride.
Trey McBride, unbelievable game,
12 catches, 134 yards, 2 touchdowns,
37.4 ppr points,
105 receptions now on the year.
He is going to obliterate Zach Ertz's record
of 118 touchdown catches,
like the historical record for most touchdown grabs
in a season by a tight end.
Just unbelievable stuff from McBride.
He's probably going to get the record
I don't know if he'll get the record next week.
Okay, so 13 catches, I don't know if he'll get it.
But I think he'll get close to it.
I think eight, nine catches next week.
But he's going to destroy it in week 17 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bengals are the worst defense in the league against opposing tight ends.
And McBride's going to rip them to shreds.
Again, 37.4 points today, season high.
Seven games this year where McBride is finished as the tight end one or tight end two on the week.
and he's one of the most significant positional edge picks in recent memory at any single
position. I mean, there's been positional edge picks in these seasons where you'll say,
Yo, Theo, what about that year that one running back completely lapped the field? And certainly
there's been years like that, Christian McCaffrey, et cetera, and years past where just a
ridiculous edge between RB1 and RB2. We've seen it at wide receiver. We've seen it at quarterback,
but not like this. This is absolutely wild. So you factor in.
all the other potential elite tight ends had a bunch of bad things go wrong this year.
You had George Kittle mistime, Brock Bauer's mistime, Tucker Kraft was trending up, seasons over.
Multiple tight ends like that.
So right now, Trey McBride has 41 more targets than any other tight end, 41, 30 more catches than any other tight end,
274 more receiving yards, 96 more PPR points, any less.
leads all tight ends with 10 touchdown catches. And the crazy thing about McBride, he's over
19 points per game now. He would be the wide receiver for overall if he was wide receiver
eligible at the tight end spot, a huge, huge edge pick there. And Trey McBride's trending
towards being a first round pick next year. There'll be a lot of discourse. Shout out to certain
colleagues of mine at fantasy points are going to tell you that elite tight end in the first
round is not the way to play it. But I'm ready to argue because Trey McBride is the only
tight end in history now with 100 catches in two consecutive seasons. He's different than other
tight ends. The connection is unbelievable. And I think a lot of us are going to be rooting for
Jacoby Brissette to be brought back as quarterback next year. And again, Brissette loses another game,
but three touchdown passes in this one. We should have never doubted Jacoby Brissette, even against
a difficult defense like Houston, three touchdown passes. Houston hasn't given up a quarterback one
game on the season, but heading into Sunday night football, Brissette is the QB 11. So depending on
what happens on Sunday night and Monday night, Brissette might be the only quarterback to get a
QB 12, a top 12 performance against this defense. Absolutely wild stuff for Jacoby Brissette.
one of the best pickups of the year on the waiver wire at the quarterback position.
And then we've got to talk about Michael Wilson.
Michael Wilson, another double-digit target week.
And Wilson ends up catching a touchdown late.
So he gives you sort of a decent score to get you through.
That connection continues to stand out.
And, you know, there's so much more we could have talked about.
This was just a wild, wild week.
Again, stick with us here at fantasy points.
we're going to cover it all all week long got you covered on the waiver wire got you covered on the
start sit show dynasty life this week i'm dropping a dynasty rookie mock draft i guess we'll do one more
bonus just one more check in for everyone uh the saints beat the panthers 2017 game so we see
another game where it's a close score and we say which way did the running back touches go
big win if you're a rico dowdell manager here rico dadal
ends up really coming out of the bye week strong. He has 17 touches, and Chuba Hubbard only had
nine. And the production for Dowdle was better as well. Forty-nine rushing yards to Chuba
Hubbard's 29. He had the rushing touchdown. So again, the Panthers lose, but we at least
have a little bit of clarity here. So that's it. That's all I got. I want to go watch Sunday
night football. I know you do as well. And I want to watch Monday night football. If you're
sweating out a Monday night football game tomorrow night.
Best of luck to you.
