When you fly in Emirates business class and you're picked up by your private, luxury, chauffeur-driven car, you'll see that your vacation isn't really over until your flight is over.
Fly Emirates. Fly better.
Back with you recording on May 9th of 2024.
The Market Report is returning.
We have gotten requests.
We took a little break.
We had to get some crazy things done and through into the off season.
we're a little deeper in now.
So now we feel like it's time for us to come back into your eardrums to talk trades that you can go and pursue and talk a little bit more in depth in terms of dynasty with these rookie drafts and where they're ADP is stuff that we don't always get to do on dynasty points.
Today it is two of us.
Our Aussie friend could not be with us.
He will not be with us next week either, but next week, Ryan Heath, Lucas Gilbert, joining myself, Thomas Tipple at Eleister Thomas.
And you can also find my co-host over here.
Buck, Buck, where can they get a hold of you?
You could find me on Twitter at Andy underscore Buckler, and we're back.
We're back like when Jordan came back with the four or five, man.
That's right.
Like I said, when I feel like when the people need us most, because there is a lot of stuff being spewed about.
in terms of these rookies, so many flagplants.
I'm right.
I know best.
This is how you do it.
This player is ass.
No, this one is really good.
There's so much noise.
And that's how I classify it.
There is a lot of noise and a lot of people telling you that there are sure things in this game.
And there just are not.
We play this game differently.
I play this game by the percentage.
but by my roster percentage, how much I have, how much I don't,
you very much look for who's just going to be productive
and who's not fake valuable.
So that's why I feel like this is going to work.
And within this rookie draft,
I feel like there are quite a few players that fit that fake valuable mantra.
This is the plan, everybody.
First, you are going to subscribe to this podcast channel.
Then you're going to go over to the,
YouTube channel and subscribe to fantasy points because you should absolutely do that start
watching some videos hit the likes hit the comments Ryan Heath and I did a trade mistakes video
we've we've got some risers from the draft with film versus analytics with with Brett and
Scott we have got dynasty points we did best ball breakdown we've got UFO this weekend
so much stuff for you guys over there on that channel you're going to do that and while
you guys go and do that buck you and I are going to look through
rookie ADP data and talk about some disparities because what we're seeing in the rookie ADP
data to me does not directly reflect what I have seen in my 12 to 15 actual rookie drafts.
So obviously the ADP data has not caught up from where it was last month and pre-draft.
So there's a couple discrepancies that we want to talk about.
And after that, you and I are going to talk about some veterans.
that we would rather take over some of these seconds
that we feel like are very attainable,
give or take, right?
Because we can sit here and say,
we think they're worth this or that.
It's going to be give or take.
You might have to add a third.
You might have to, you know, do some maneuvering from there.
But we'll give you some baseline trade ideas
for you to go and ask a roundabout in your league.
So that's what we're going to do first.
First off, Andy, the ADP data.
where do we get it? What are we looking at? And then I'm going to let you kick us off with how to approach it.
All right. We got her from a fantasy data lab, a dynasty data lab. We got it. It's starting from this month, the beginning of the month to the end. So, you know, still a lot of drafts to go. I think where we kind of struggle sometimes and I definitely struggle with it.
Sometimes maybe we think more about like inside of our bubble, like our 15 drafts or 20 drafts. And maybe the ADP is kind of accurate because there's so many other people that play Dynasty outside of just like, you know, our.
little bubble but I think we approach you you want to start off uh what's going with the ADP like the
201 let's talk about it all right so 201 201 goes bow nix then 202 is keon coleman 203 tre
benson 204 michael penix 205 ricky percel 206 adadine mitchel 207 xavier legette 208
blake quorum 209 troy franklin 210 jalen polk and 2111 roman wilson
and the 212 is Jalen Wright.
So any takeaways on those?
Yeah, big, big time for me.
Seeing a lot of Bo Nix in that 201 and 2002,
he and Keon-Colman tend to get flip-flop for me,
but I also see more Benson at the 202 and the 201,
more often than not in my personal experiences,
and I have Trey Benson ranked ahead of Coleman, I believe,
not ahead of Nix.
So to me, this is just free money.
I think this really comes down to what type of leagues you are in.
I see Ricky Pearsall go in the first round.
Believe it or not, Buck, I have seen Pennix go round one,
which I almost fell out of my chair just because you just don't have to do that.
Like statistically, a higher probability you can just move back
than be handcuffing yourself to force to take them.
But some people really believe, I guess.
The one that I see from this ADP to how things,
are actually going. There's a few. There is Blake Corum, who I often do not see get taken to the
late, late second, into the early third. And then there's Troy Franklin. I think this is obviously
one because Troy Franklin, geez, was taken at the 2.1 a lot of times and in 2-2. And I just feel like
the average for ADP hasn't caught up to him falling into that third. But I'll also say that
there are lunatics out there still drafting Troy Franklin in second, regardless of the NFL telling
you what they believe in him and what his situation is. I think second round Troy Franklin is kind of
wild to me. Feel that way a little bit about Jalen Polk. I know Jalen Polk is getting the Drake
May bump. Don't really know if he should or not. I don't know if he's better than Demerio
Douglas. So 210 Jalen Polk for me is a little high. I like 212.
Jalen Wright really like that pick because I am hammering the running backs.
I've talked about this on dynasty points a lot,
but I'm hammering these running backs more than I'm hammering these second round wide receivers
because I think the receivers you can get in the third and fourth round have about as much
of a chance of being fantasy relevant as some of these guys do just because of where they're
situated compared to where draft capital is.
It's all the coin flip.
So before we sit here and go, oh, just go trade for vets.
those are some of the things that stand out to me.
I think Leggett is probably too low here.
Even though he probably sucks,
like he probably,
he probably sucks.
Like 50 year player breaks out in his fifth year.
However,
I think 27 is a little low for him.
I think Pearsall and Leggett are a little low.
I'd have them over panics probably.
Me too.
So that's what I see right out the gate.
What are you seeing?
What are you hearing?
What are you vibing with here throughout the market
that we can report?
on during the second round of ADP.
Yeah, I agree with a lot of what you said.
I think my biggest takeaway is probably Franklin is you.
Roman Wilson, I don't think he should be in the second round really at all.
I don't like him.
And then you said you like Jalen Wright at the 212.
I disagree.
I wouldn't take him in the second round.
He's a day three running back.
And I know he was a guy a lot of people liked and he has like a pretty solid profile.
But he's just behind, you know, he's behind A. Chan, Mostert.
And they took him in day three.
I think he fits the dolphins really well.
I'm not sure he's going to really have returns in fantasy,
especially when you look at the people going behind him.
I'd much rather have Marshawn Lloyd,
much rather have Ben Sinat.
I know you don't like Malachi Corley,
but I rather have him,
and I rather have Jermaine Burton.
So I think all those guys really should push up.
I think they're all too low.
And then for the second round, I agree.
But for me, it's like a big three in the second round.
Knicks, Keon, and Trey Benson,
like those are the three I really want.
And once you have to two, four,
like and those three are gone,
I think it's fair game to look to trade that pick.
Trade back, trade out.
Like, those are like the big three I really, really care about.
And then I'm kind of over the second round for that.
I understand why you wouldn't want to draft you in the right in the second round.
I think he's so explosive and he did fit the spot where if you're going to be an outlier,
efficient elite athlete, like that's kind of the offense you want him to be in.
Now, I have disagreed with Ryan Heath and Jacob Sanderson about this.
also prefer Marshawn Lloyd to Jalen Wright.
But for me, I'm just hammering those guys anyway.
Like, I'm taking Sanat over Polk and Franklin.
So I also have Sanat in the second.
But remember, I only play tight-in premium leagues, really.
So I think that getting Sanat, regardless of how you feel about him,
if you get him in that second round, rather than teeter tottering over what wide receiver you
want to kind of meddle with and galaxy brain your way into really liking because of landing spot
or ADP.
I'm definitely just handing Sanat.
I'll say that I'll take a chance on Roman Wilson and you'll you're going to hate the reason
why you're going to hate it.
But Pittsburgh has this thing with wide receivers and they have a couple things with wide receivers.
One, they don't pay them once their contract is up.
and B, the guys that they take in these rounds
just somehow seem to work out for them.
Now, Roman Wilson has a lot of things going against him.
He's in Arthur Smith's offense.
His quarterback's Russell Wilson and a kick returner.
It's not the best spot for him.
But in terms of like flyer wide receivers,
if you're just trying to boost a roster ship of him,
I understand taking him in these spots.
If I have a limited amount of leagues that are all like start tens, I agree that I'm passing on them.
But if a start 12, a start 13 type league.
Freaky as hell.
Right.
That starts, you know, three wide receivers.
Okay.
I'm a little more accepting on that.
Or if in the, if I have a bunch of these start 10, 12 teamers, I'm okay popping a couple of
Wilson's to get to that like eight to 10% just because Pittsburgh is like the opposite of Kansas
City where they actually seem to be able to pick these wide receiver skill positions pretty
well whereas Kansas City aren't they're bad at this which is one of the reasons why I'm
I'm kind of anti-worthy just because their their track record for hitting on skill position players
is either fluky or downright awful like Tyree
Kill was not drafted to be the
guy he is. Kelsey
was a mid-tier
round pick. Pacheco
was in the seventh. All the other guys
you look at C.H.
Hardman, MvS,
Tony, the guy
I fell for, the fake football player
where it's number 24, Skymore.
All these guys are ass.
So that's why I have
a lot of hesitancy on unworthy
on top of that. Whereas the Steelers,
they just seem to have these guys. Like,
Artavis Bryant, I feel like, would have been successful for them had he been able to keep his shit together.
So that too.
So I'm willing to take some shots, but it's really only because I play in a ton of leagues.
And I want to hit about 8 to 10 percent on most of these guys anyway.
And I'm going to get your thoughts on this in a second.
But before we do, we're going to take a quick commercial break.
Come back.
And Buck is going to tell me why I'm an idiot.
All right, Buck, why am I wrong?
Because you're always wrong.
No, I've heard that before.
I think a Roman Wilson, I think a lot of the points you hit on are true,
but I do think the Cieler wide receiver thing is a little overblown.
Mainly, I really care when they draft wider series in the second round,
because they usually hit on them.
Not when it's like the third round.
Roman Wilson was the third round pick.
He was in the 80s.
I don't know exactly what it was 80-something.
I just feel like he's probably going to be more of like a better real-life player
than a fantasy player just based on his skill set.
Like he's more of like a downfield player that's not going to really probably get
six targets in the game very often.
and maybe he really makes good on those four targets that he gets because they're going to be deep A dot.
But I don't know.
It's like he's like their offense obviously has Arthur Smith and it's not that good.
And Pickens kind of a similar type of receiver, how he gets used.
So I'm not sure.
I don't really like Roman Wilson too much.
But I don't want to ignore him.
Like you said, I do want to get some of him.
But I just rather pause.
I'd rather get him later, not in a second because I like all the other players a lot more.
Yeah, no.
I feel that.
I feel that.
I feel that you are probably right there.
But I'm just saying in terms of.
someone who wants to prop up their,
their roster ship of these rookies,
I can understand why somebody would want to take their shot.
Because quite honestly,
after 18,
after 18 picks,
I feel like it really levels out in the playing field anyway.
We have a couple third round guys.
Lloyd at the 3-1,
like we said,
Sonata at the 3-2,
Burton at the 3-3.
He said you like Corley at the 3-4.
That's a guy I'm just not going to draft.
I'm not going to draft Malachi Corley.
And I won't ever tell anyone else to draft Malachi,
Corley. If you want to draft Corley, okay. I'm sure you have a convincing enough reason. I'm just
not going to do it. The guy is the biggest screen merchant in college football period. I just can't do it.
Maybe I can blame like Jets Twitter for turning me against him, but I can't. But you're right.
Like I want Lloyd over Wilson. I want Lloyd over Franklin. I think I could put him in that second round if you take him out.
I'm going to leave Polk in the second round. I think he deserves to be there. But Lloyd and Sinai.
for sure should be in there.
And if you want to argue Burton over right, I wouldn't totally be against that.
But those are the biggest discrepancies that I see.
Yeah, I would take.
Yeah, I would take.
Burton's another guy that I really haven't like picked a lot or not a lot at all.
He's someone that I see people really push up.
I just haven't been in like the opportunity to take him because I'm not really like
willing to take him until that like 211 range.
Usually there's something like usually Sanat is there.
And I just take him every time because I'm just willing.
to take him higher than all my other league mates, whether that's good or bad, he's always there for me.
So I always end up with him when I hit the 210 and I've taken Polk a decent amount of times.
Really just like, again, not a great analytical profile, but just like pick 37 with a rookie quarterback.
So I've been taking him.
But with back to the Burton versus Roman Wilson thing, I would rather just have Burton than Wilson
because I think Burton is the better player.
He's an Alabama receiver that kind of ran into some trouble in college.
So his profiles maybe not as good as it should be.
You have to like kind of squint to see it, but it is actually good.
And just the fact with the T. Higgins thing, right?
Like he could, T. Higgins probably going to be gone after the year.
They didn't bring a boy back.
Yose Vosovas.
He's not good.
So there's a chance he can be the wide receiver too on that team.
Though I do kind of worry about those type of takes.
I don't mean to go everywhere.
Like I do worry about those type of things because it's receiver.
It's not running back.
Like you have to be good at receiver to just like, oh, he can have.
the role, like he can start and be the wide receiver too. It doesn't mean he's going to be a good
fantasy player just because he has the role. Receivers a talent position. It's not running back.
It's not like, oh, he gets to play running back. He's going to get the opportunity and be good
for fantasy. I do like worry about that with Burton, but I have a really good feeling that by year
two he's going to have a really big role at least. And if he's good, he's good. So he has to be
good. This isn't a running back if that makes sense. But I do just think he's going to be in a better
offense and a better chance to exceed. And they're like really similar. I mean, both in the 80s,
both like I'd rather have the wide receiver two for Joe Burrow than the wide receiver two for
Arthur Smith so I think I'd flip them for sure okay that's fair that's a good point one player I
okay 80 Mitchell I got to talk about him for a minute people love this fucking guy people love
this dude and his profile was eh at best this film was from what I understand okay
He's got serious.
I won't say serious,
in turn of crime-related Rishi Rice-style concerns off the field,
but he has been problematic.
It's been linked to his diabetes,
which, you know,
I don't understand how that is.
I can't really speak on that.
But from information that I know of,
he becomes a Martavis-Bryant-level teammate,
and I don't think that shit's going to cut it in the NFL,
so he has to keep that under wraps.
And that's not fair to him to say,
because we don't know what is going to be.
I fully understand that,
but he has a lot to overcome,
is what I'm saying, with that.
And then he's also going to an offense
that's kind of going to be a three-trick pony, in my opinion.
It's Richardson, it's Pittman, it's Taylor, and that's it.
Like, there's so little room for other players to eat.
Like, Alec Pierce is probably dead and gone.
Like, he's done.
Josh Downs is a good enough receiver.
He can limit A.D. Mitchell.
And I'm not saying it's because, oh, guys,
they play a different role, sure, I get it.
But Down's a good player.
He's not a great player, but he's a good player.
He's a good enough player to disrupt Mitchell.
What Mitchell screams like to me is a guy they drafted to just help Richardson
and not be one of the top dogs on the team is what it says to me.
And you add that with what I think his profile is,
and you add that to the other things that I've heard and his surrounding area.
I just, I'm out.
And at 2.6, this segues nice into what I want to talk about.
At the 2.6, the best option is A.D. Mitchell, I want to trade for a veteran.
I just want to trade for a guy who's 28 to 30.
That's going to give me 12 and maybe more points per game.
That's what I want to do.
So Buck, I asked you to go and find some guys.
Let's find some guys that we think we can at least get the conversation
started with when it comes to that mid to that 25 262728 and beyond who are some guys that
hit that threshold for you and we can give a little bit why it's going to be short right we want
to try to keep these to really a half hour and 45 minutes so it's going to be short we're going
to try to pack it with as many options as we can that make actual actionable sense hit me with a few
i'm going to start off with two running backs because i think these are pretty much smash
accepts if you have the two five, I think you can get them.
I think David Montgomery and Najee Harris.
I think they're both very obtainable for those bigs.
I think those are two really good starting points.
And I would rather have both than Mitchell or anyone after that.
I think Leggett is close.
But I'd rather have, I'd rather have Nauget than Leggett and probably rather have
Legat than Monty.
And then do you have anything to add or you want to go to receivers?
I was going to say, it's going to be tough because if you go to Dynasty Data
Lab, you'll see, like Mitchell and some of those guys are being taken ahead of Naji and Montgomery
right now, but I don't think that that is just like a clear reflection of someone being able
to smash except on that for like usable running backs, which is where I think the position is
kind of weird for this.
I will say for a move like this, I'm okay if I have to add something.
Like, I'm okay.
Like, I went out of this pick so much for usable players.
in that 12 points per game to 14 plus points per game,
with this 2-6 on a competing roster,
especially in like a start 10,
that I'm willing to add a little bit to what I have to.
I'm willing to add a third.
I'm willing to add some 25 picks.
Don't know if I would add a second in there,
but you let me add a 25 second and you give me a third.
Boom.
I think I'm doing this as well.
So I think those are two good targets,
but these are two,
those examples I think are a couple of guys
that I don't think really reflects what you could actually do
because running backs, people may hate running backs.
They don't want to draft them,
but they certainly don't want to give them up for very little.
So those ones I like,
but I feel like those are some guys you're going to have to add a little bit.
A running back, I don't think you're going to have to add a little bit too at all
is Singletary or Zemir White.
And those are two guys, even Aaron Jones,
Brian Robinson Jr.
Those are some backs.
Ramondre.
Those are some backs that I would seriously consider sending these two's back
or twos over four and then maybe trying to squeak a third back out of it.
If you want some 12 to 14 points per game type players.
And then a few more.
We'll go to receivers now.
Terry McLaurin, Amari Cooper, Cooper Cup.
And then one that we did, we pulled some trades and we did see him go for a second a few times,
24 a second.
like a 25 second, but Stefan Diggs.
So that's Stefan Diggs, Cooper,
Amari Cooper,
Christian Kirk, and Calvin Ridley.
All smash this for me.
All smash this for me.
One of the players that I initially listed
when we started breaking these players down to
was Deontay Johnson.
But then I started thinking about it,
people don't actually value Deontay Johnson
for a mid-second.
Like, people will tell you that's what he's worth.
Good fucking luck.
They love this dude.
And I'll tell you why.
after we take this next quick break.
People love Deontay Johnson because they love the idea of Deontay Johnson.
He gets a ton of targets.
He's PPR spam.
And they love that he is a quote separator.
Now, I like this guy too is why wide receiver four or five toss him in a flex
and also would not give him up for a mid-second round pick.
But he's a guy whose value tells you you should be able to get him for a second round
picking a little sprinkle of sprinkle of sugar on top.
Not actually the case, not in any case that I have experienced when trying to acquire him.
I've actually just given up trying to acquire him because it seems to be hopeless.
Wide receiver boys really love themselves, some Deontay Johnson.
And I think, I think that it's, it's pretty fair.
Another receiver is Chris Godwin.
Chris Godwin is another guy that I am actively seeking out for these seconds.
He goes even after Najee and Montgomery, which is wild to me.
He's an absolute producer.
Talk about him going back into the slot, which is just huge for him.
I'll tell you some players that I am not buying with that pick.
Marquise Brown.
No, sir.
Keenan Allen, I'm okay.
Jameson Williams, definitely the hell not.
Those are just not guys that go in that same range.
where I am at all interested.
I'm just not,
I'm not interested in them at all.
But Christian Kirk is another guy.
I have seen Christian Kirk go for cheap, cheap.
So cheap.
I saw Christian Kirk go for two high thirds in a league than I am in.
I have seen him go for just a mid-second.
Please go and check in on your Christian Kirk's.
Because Brian Thomas Jr. is getting pumped up.
And Christian Kirk is the guy to me.
So go and check in to see how much he is.
Because that dude, that dude, can put him up.
up 16 points per game every other week when it's a man coverage type game.
And you are going to absolutely love him being in your flex as your fourth or fifth wide receiver.
You're going to love him.
I have a couple more that I just found.
Just go with them quickly and see what you think about them.
I wanted to add a couple tight ends.
So first I got DeAndre Swift, another running back that I know for sure.
You can get him for that pick.
I'm not sure if you'd be interested.
I know you can.
I have a DeAndre Swift.
Please send me the 205 for him.
But I know you can get that.
Evan, Ingram, Dallas got it with the two tight ends.
Ingram probably harder.
Got it, I think you can definitely get.
And then I added two more running backs, Derek Henry, which I know you can get for that pick if you wanted to get that.
And then one more, just looking on Keep Trade Cut, he's right by Blake Corum, a little ahead of Blake Corum, who's like the 208, is Taj Spears.
I don't know if that's realistic, but it's realistic on Keep Trade Cut.
And I would definitely send, you know, I would send to the 203 and up for Tadier Spheres if you can get him.
Right. And here's the thing to close us out. Those are, those are some trade options. Let us know what you think about them in the Discord. You can at myself or at Buck and we will have some conversations about it. I will make Buck reply and check Discord whether he wants to or not. But I think people clown on Keep Trade Cut and FantasyCalc.com a little too much.
I think that people clown on them because they feel like their own rankings are just so much better.
They know better than what that stupid site does and you shouldn't use those sites.
You should just know better are typically things said by people that want to fleece you.
Those are the guys that will tell you what trades are good for your team and your DM from my experience.
And it drives me nuts.
Those tools, if you're ever wondering how to get a trade started, go and look.
Do a little bit of digging.
Go and look at Dynasty Data Lab and find their trade finders.
and just poke around.
Maybe that doesn't apply to your league.
Maybe your league is just smarter.
It's just full of 11 other sharps.
Who knows?
But if you're ever just stuck and being stuck
trying to figure out what trade to do,
it sucks.
It sucks so hard.
But if you want an icebreaker that isn't just one
that's going to get you instantly auto-declined
or like have a gift sent at you
that's just some dude laughing like I do to buck a lot,
check these sites.
They're not above you to do.
they're their source they're crowd source it's the best free material you could possibly go and look for
yeah they're real they're real tools they serve a purpose like they really do i use them i don't use
them as gospel like for everything but i use them and you get a it's also a good way to just kind
of like get a feel for like make sure what you're sending is at least in like a ballpark of what
you need and it's good like the the trade calculator on cute trade cut you'll see all the people that
shit on it will talk about oh you can just put all these pieces in to me it's like it's
like, but no one's doing that for it.
Like when the actual, like, and if you are, if you are doing that, knock it off.
Just stop it.
We know what you're doing.
Okay.
But yeah, I use them.
So I definitely would, I definitely would go on there.
And like, again, it's people that play the game that are voting on the stuff
of there.
It's not just random.
Yeah.
Like I said, it's the people, it's a lot of content creators.
And it's a lot of content creators that either have their own ranks.
Oftentimes they want you to pay for, which maybe you should.
like support content creators 100%.
But to look down on it and like have there be almost an ick about it is to me wrong
because I know that there's a lot of players out there that would get a lot more trades done
if they used free crowdsourcing materials to even be in the same ballpark.
I got a couple of trades a day and shout out to you.
I don't remember your name and I do not want this to seem like a dig at all.
I respect your trade offer.
But if you were to look at some of these questions,
crowdsourcing materials and resources, you would see that nobody wants Jerry Judy or Cortland Sutton, let alone in the same trade.
So if you ever want real ice breakers, I could get actual mountains moved.
I think that using these resources in front of you as well as your favorite expert or whoever it is, hey, I started off with this.
You can even tell people, hey, I started off with this.
I think this is kind of fair.
If you don't, like, let's talk about it.
We can counter or you can decline.
Like, the worst thing someone is going to say is no.
So to lead off with a little bit of extra trading advice, use those resources.
And if everybody in your league seems to be the ones that can't get trades done because their values suck,
it's time to reevaluate your own and look inward and you'll get more deals done.
Care less about winning them.
Care more about getting the players you want that you feel provide.
you the best value and chance to win and you'll get more deals done.
But I think that's a good start.
I mean, I know everybody wants the Aussie slang.
I know everybody wants Tom Lee's going to come back.
He's coming back.
He's not gone forever this time.
A couple weeks.
He's got some stuff to deal over on the other side of the planet.
He's fighting ruse.
He's fighting treacherous heat, right?
And he's working hard.
He's working hard on the business and getting his stuff settled in.
So he'll be back in a couple of weeks.
Next week, me,
Ryan and Lucas.
Not going to want to miss that.
Always loving Ryan pops on.
And of course,
love spending time with Lucas as well.
We are going to be collecting more trade questions,
less than the breakdown variety,
but more trade questions from you,
like what players you're wanting us to talk about,
seek trades about,
go back and forth on.
All this stuff is going to be as interactive
as you guys want it.
So you guys are steering the ship
on exactly what kind of content you want.
