week 11 fantasy football waiver wire ads which players should you be adding and which sleepers
should you be stashing guys we're in the end game now for fantasy football for some leagues
there's only a month left for waivers for others there's about seven weeks left if we
include the fantasy football championship week.
And there's a couple of rookies that are starting to come on at an exciting time.
Some rookie-wide receivers we're going to lead the show off with.
Let's talk about Luther Burden.
Luther Burden's been a player that I know there was a lot of enthusiasm for here at
fantasy points and throughout the fantasy community.
It seems like Burden's starting to ramp up a little bit.
He's dealt with some injuries, played yesterday.
Chicago had a comeback win against the New York Giants.
Caleb Williams played well, and Luther Burden and Colston Loveland, for that matter, combined for 106 receiving yards.
Burden had three catches for 51 yards, and when we factor in the history of slot receivers in Ben Johnson offenses and the fact that DJ Moore is trending down in terms of production and he's banged up, is Luther Burden a player whose production and role could grow throughout the second half of the season?
season. Let's start with you, Tom. Yeah, I think it is. We'll see what happens with DJ Moore here. He's been
dealing with a couple of different injuries. He was on the injury report heading into last week with
hip and groin injuries. And then he picked up a shoulder injury. As you said, he did nothing in
that game last week against the Giants, even though they were in comeback mode. So he's really
struggling through it. Maybe they decide to sit him down for a week or two. Maybe that could give
him Luther Burden a little bit of a runway here.
We've been kind of waiting for him to overtake Olamedi Zakias in the slot.
So he's got a couple of different paths here to more playing time.
We've seen it a little bit with Colston Loveland.
Cool Comette was a little bit banged up over the last month.
And Loveland has gotten more chances.
And he's taken advantage of it, top 10 pick.
So he continues to put up production here this past week, even with Commet in the lineup.
So maybe something similar happens with Byrd.
and he gets more opportunities here.
He's taken advantage of his limited opportunities,
and they even gave him some design type of looks earlier in the season,
and he came through with some big plays.
So he's trending up here.
This is a pretty light waiver wire overall.
So he's the type of player, 6% owned in Yahoo!
He makes a lot of sense to pick up stash right now.
Maybe you get to use them this week if more does end up sitting out,
even if he doesn't though maybe he could be a usable piece for you in the upcoming weeks
yeah and joe anyone who experienced sort of like the amon ross st brown second half of the year
rookie season that's always been the dream i don't think we'll get there with burden i mean that would
be incredible uh but i do think we could get to a point where he's like a 14 point per game guy
when we get to the fantasy playoffs do you think that's a reasonable like kind of upside scenario
for him yeah and look the like you said caleb williams has been up and down
but I would say the positives have outweighed the negatives, at least for our game.
We'll let the All-22 bros tell you exactly how many throws he's missing, which I think are tangible.
But DJ Moore has not been productive.
And could this be a reason for Ben Johnson to do a little self-scouting and say, all right, Colston Loveland, he had the big game against the Bengals.
Colston Loveland, late in that game against the Giants, you know, he's twisting his body, contorting his body for
to make a key catch for Caleb Williams on an inaccurate throw.
Can he decide to give Luther Burden some of those opportunities that DJ Moore has had?
I think that's within the realm of possibility.
This is the type of player.
Guys, the waiver wires pick clean.
Theo, you alluded to it at the top.
This is the type of player who is almost certainly available in your league and offers upside
that a lot of these guys who are in and out of the lineup on bad teams,
they just don't offer.
So Luther Burden is a great name this week,
even though the production hasn't been there for him.
Yeah, and I think this is a week where collectively the three of us are probably the least excited about.
So chasing upside instead of chasing last week's stats is usually the best way to play the game.
Joe, let's stick with you on this one.
We also saw another second round draft pick rookie have a solid scoring line.
Jaden Higgins finishes week 10 with 15.2 points.
This was the Davis Mills legacy game, the comeback win over Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
And what's interesting is we had Nico Collins' best game of the season in terms of receiving yardage in terms of targets.
Nico finished with seven catches for 136 yards.
And we've talked about sort of the overlapping of skill sets between Higgins and Collins.
This is a game where both players thrived.
I think this is kind of the dream scenario Jaden Higgins' dynasty managers had this past off season.
Could this be the start of something?
Or are there some like red flags that make you a little less enthusiastic about adding Higgins to your fantasy team?
There's a couple.
Number one, this was a game with Davis Mills.
And look, Davis Mills, guys, I think you both would agree.
Look, the Texans went out of their way to extend him this off season.
So they know how valuable he is as a backup quarterback.
They paid him specifically for a game like this.
win a divisional game when C.J. Stroud is hurt. But it was a game with
Davis Mills, not C.J. Stroud. I would anticipate C.J. Stroud being back soon.
Number two, the Houston Texans utterly refuse to take Xavier Hutchinson and
Christian Kirk off the field. They utterly refused to do it. So Jane and Higgins, he was second
among Texan wide receivers in snap rate, but none of them outside of Nico Collins even reached
60% of the offensive snaps.
I think he had an under 50% route share.
So he is not playing a full-time role.
So it's kind of funny for me to say,
I feel like I'd rather pick up Luther Burden
who hasn't produced versus Jaden Higgins
who's had flashes of production.
But I don't see any evidence
that they're going to take Hutchinson
and Christian Kirk off the field.
Christian Kirk hurts Jalen Knoll more.
But with Hutchinson, I think,
hurts Jaden Higgins more. So that unfortunately is the impediment here and the fact that it was
a game of the backup court. Yeah, Tom, anything to add on that one? I completely agree with Joe.
It's a offense that I'm not very enthusiastic about. Nico Collins is in our lineups.
Woody Marks took a big step forward yesterday. He's rostered everywhere. Your thoughts on this
pecking order in Houston and Jaden Higgins, just how enthusiastic people should be.
Yeah, it's very frustrating right now. They're still still continuing to rotate.
these receivers. We can't really use these guys with any kind of confidence until Hutchinson
and Christian Kirk see their snaps and their routes significantly depressed here over the next
couple of weeks, which they really haven't shown any signs of doing it. Maybe this performance
in week 10 with Davis Mills at quarterback, maybe this starts to prompt them to do it.
This coaching staff has really been, you've got to earn your reps, you got to earn your snaps.
even though they spent valuable draft capital on both of these receivers.
But Jalen Knoll, I mean, anytime that guy's on the field, he's making plays at receiver.
You know, I don't have the numbers right in front of me, but I know his fantasy points day
in terms of yards per route run, targets per route run, very, looked very good.
He just has not gotten enough routes so far.
So maybe things will start to turn here based on this performance, but I'm a little skeptical
it will. Damika Ryan seems like one of those guys that you got to really earn those snaps
and you got to, you know, Christian Kirk's been in and out of the lineup and they still refuse
to give Jalen Knoll, you know, the treatment above him on this depth tart. Even though
Kirk really hasn't been in this organization besides this year. So it's really bizarre. But
maybe things will start to change here. Maybe week 10 and the strong performances by these
rookies will start to prompt that they they're sitting at four and five right now they need to
make a charge let's get the best weapons out there uh you know next to nico collins so that that's the
one hope that maybe things start to change here a little bit in the second half of the season
yeah i i wouldn't bet on it that it seems like the the offensive coordinator sort of is is
mixed at at best and bad is probably the best way to describe them uh and i the houston texans
are just a hard team for us to get a handle on a team that we thought we had
had pretty much figured out, Joe, was the Minnesota Vikings.
And we had 23 targets for Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison yesterday.
Minnesota loses disappointing fashion to the Baltimore Ravens.
They lose 2719.
Minnesota sort of under the gun this week, they faced the Chicago Bears.
One player who had a huge stat line kind of out of nowhere, Jalen Naylor, five catches,
124 yards, six targets.
So again, he was the third highest targeted.
Minnesota wide receiver, but he had more points than Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison
combined. Should fantasy managers be adding Naler or sort of ignoring this one as a one week
sort of blip on the radar? I have turned the tape on Theo. I have dug into the fantasy points
data suite and I have determined exactly what the issue was with the Minnesota Vikings offense.
When they were throwing the ball to Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, it was J.J.
McCarthy throwing the ball. When it was Jalen Naylor getting the targets, it was nine who
was throwing the ball. So they've got to switch that around. Nine has to get engaged with
Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. Look, Justin Jefferson played a bad football game.
I know J.J. McCarthy, excuse me, nine was not great on Sunday, but Justin Jefferson dropping
passes. He ran some lazy routes. Brett Whitefield commented in our staff discord. We have a channel
called the mail room where everybody just kind of
we all coalesce and talk about football
throughout the week. He mentioned that
Justin Jefferson just played the worst game he'd ever seen.
So I think JJ just had a
JJ, JJ meaning Justin Jefferson, had a bad game
and Nine's struggles just kind of
compounded that.
I am not interested at all in Jalen Naylor.
I'll take the wins that I have with him
as like an 18th round best ball pick right now
once Jordan Addison got suspended, I'll have those, and those are in my pocket.
But I can't imagine right now sitting here in week 11 and feeling good about putting
Jalen Naylor in a lineup where I actually have to choose to start him.
Yeah, we're going to ignore Jalen Naylor, but there's another player, Tom, that's on every
waiver wire right now.
And we are on a short week for New England.
New England plays the Jets on Thursday evening in a game that we expect New England to kind
to do whatever they want in that one. It's a home game in Jolette. And you've got Mack Hollins
where we've talked about a number of these wide receivers in New England that are not named
Stefan Diggs because Drake May's been elevating several players throughout the season. We did have
a long touchdown catch from Kyle Williams, the third round pick. There was a report yesterday
morning he was going to see increased usage. He did have one big flashy play. But the player that
I'm interested in if I need a one week start is Mack Hollins. Mac Hollins had 10 targets,
had six catches for 106 yards, but in week eight, he gave us seven catches for 89 yards and
seven targets. So I now have two out of the last three weeks. Mac Hollins is like a beast,
and he's just this big physical outside presence that Drake May seems to kind of like.
Are you buying into this if you need just a one week dart throw in the wide receiver three
your flex. Yeah, I wouldn't be afraid to use him this week if I really needed a play. Luckily,
we are down to just two teams on by this week, and one of them is the Saints. So, you know,
not a whole lot of options are going to be off the table for you. But I do like Matt Collins.
I do think Keishon Bouti is going to sit out this week. They play on Thursday. He's sustained
that hamstring injury just 10 days ago or so from when that game will be kicking off. So I imagine
they'll be resting him, getting him healthier for the stretch run.
And Hollins has been out there a lot anyway.
He's been kind of running right there with Kishon Booty and Stefan Diggs in three
wide receiver set.
So Booty's out of the lineup.
We started to see more targets to Mack Hollins here.
And now this match up against the Jets isn't, you know, it's not very intimidating anymore
with Soss Gardner gone.
The only thing I would be worried about is Patriots are multi-score favorites in this one.
If they get ahead by, you know, two or three touchdowns, maybe they really sit on the ball in the second half.
But the running game really hasn't been effective outside of Henderson ripping off a couple of touchdown runs in week 10.
So they might have to continue to throw it in the second half.
So I do think Holland's dart throw here, the way he plays, if you need a lot of upside, too.
They're going to take downfield shots to him.
He's not this guy that operates in the underneath or intermediate areas.
He's getting down the field targets.
So if you're going into a matchup this week where you're a little bit of an underdog or you need some upside,
I think Matt Collins is a good reach off of the waiver wire.
Yeah, and I will mention that I think Kyle Williams is a player that I want to stash and sort of see where this role goes because he's interesting.
He's got a lot of speed.
We saw him down in Mobile at the Senior Bowl, and they did use a third round pick on him.
Joe, let's talk about Tyler Lockett briefly, five catches for four.
And listen, you get all the fun ones.
all the fun was. I gave you Olamidi Zakias, I think, like two weeks ago. You love talking about
him. Let's talk about Tyler Lockett. Five catches, 44 yards. Interested, leaving him on the
wire. Is he the Jacoby Myers replacement? How should people unpack this? I just like,
this is one of the things where I feel like old Pete, like who I was optimistic about, by the way.
I was pretty optimistic about the Raiders. I feel like this might be a sign that he's lost it in his
just short time off. What in the world are they doing?
like you've got like
going nowhere. Dante Thornton
was messing up you know
I guess Jack Bech hasn't earned
touches but Brock
Brock Bowers has the best game we've seen
maybe an individual player play
all season he gets one catch in that game
what three targets
that offensive line has been bad
Gino was under siege
I mean Tyler Lockett is the
example Theo of the kind of player
who oh crap my guy
got downgraded late in the week
with a hamstring injury.
Honestly, like Tettairoa McMillan did,
except Tettairoa and McMillan ended up playing.
Tyler Lockett is the perfect example of a guy
who I will pick up on Saturday
if one of my starters had a downgrade
and I've got a million other players on by.
There is zero interest, in my opinion,
of adding him to a roster,
expecting him to be some sort of contributor.
I would be shocked if anybody on this team
is a consistent contributor with the exception of Brock Bowers
and Ashton Genti going forward.
I completely agree with you on that one.
I'll mention another player that I think is a really interesting stash is Adonai Mitchell.
Didn't play this past week, but the Jets have a broken receiving room.
Garrett Wilson might get shut down, certainly going to miss Thursday night.
And they had six total receptions as a team.
Justin Fields looked awful, but I think Adonai Mitchell, they're going to throw him out there.
He's going to play a lot, and they're going to see what they have here.
What do the Jets have to lose here from playing a 2023?
second round, excuse me,
224 second round pick in Adonai Mitchell,
a player that they seem pretty excited about.
Let's take a quick break.

All right, welcome back. Fantasy Football Daily, Theo Greminger with Joe Dolan and Tom Brawley every single week here on the Fantasy Points Podcast Network. If you're watching this on Fantasy Points YouTube, go ahead and subscribe to Fantasy Football Daily. We've got you covered on all sorts of subjects, start sit show with Graham Barfield, my reactions and takeaways show that drops Mondays and then a guest show every single week. Guys, we've got a lot going on this week. One team that is just simply on fire are the L.A. Rams. Matthew Staff,
has 25 touchdown passes to only two interceptions.
The passing game is just ridiculous.
But one thing that I think is interesting is the sort of changing of the running back touches
and usage that we've seen post-by week.
Tom, kind of unpacked this one.
Blake Corum has become a very interesting player.
If he's sitting on your waiver wire, he shouldn't be available.
Yeah, he needs to be added.
At the very least, he's a high-end handcuff behind.
Kyron Williams, if anything happens to him, he would be bolted into that top spot and
see a lot of carries in one of the NFL's best offenses right now.
Kyron Williams has scored two touchdowns as the lead back here.
But yeah, you're right.
He has seen a little additional work here.
It has come in some blowout type of games here.
They've been really putting away teams early and playing with multi-score leads, but he's still
getting the work and has taken advantage of it.
He's put together some pretty strong performances here.
So he's got that handcuff ability.
And maybe if, you know, they're major favorites in any games down the stretch here,
we've seen him get to double-digit carries in three straight games.
I see a Carolina on the schedule.
I see in Atlanta in Week 17.
So there's a chance if you're really desperate for a play that he could be viable,
just looking to get 10 to 12 carries from a back,
especially in a game where it looks like they could be playing from a game.
head in. Yeah, I think that's the best way of taking it. And I think that just due to the quality
of this offense, he needs to be considered one of the most valuable handcuffs to roster. But like
you said, there's a chance that if you need 10 PPR points from your running back spot in a
buy week, hell, or if guys start to break down in your roster, you might be able to get that
from Blake Corum. The next two weeks should be really, really fun for L.A. We've got Seattle,
and then we've got Tampa Bay, two teams that we expect to be in the NFC playoffs.
but it's hard to bet against the Rams right now.
That team is completely locked in.
Rams beat up on the San Francisco 49ers.
And this is the second week in a row, Joe,
that we've talked about Brian Robinson,
back-to-back weeks with 11 plus PPR points.
He scored touchdowns in back-to-back games.
Anything to sort of unpack from this one,
it seems like it's kind of like we talked about with Quorum.
This is a player that needs to be viewed as an elite handcuff
due to Christian McCaffrey's usage and age.
And he's gotten a touchdown in back-to-back week.
So I wonder if he's kind of, if you're desperate, like a lowercase version of like
Zach Charbonnet or Tyler Algier, a player who you can, who basically is a handcuff,
but you can put into a lineup and just say, look, I need, I need him to score touchdown.
There's a decent bet he scores a touchdown.
I feel like that's the kind of player he is, but he's also the kind of player that you
should be rostering right now on a playoff contending team.
Because in week 11, I feel like we almost know who our starters are going to be
or who our major contributors are going to be if we're going to win a fantasy championship, right?
So a player like quorum, a player like Brian Robinson, even if they don't have an immediate
pathway into your lineup, they're more valuable to me than guys like Bill, right?
like who like is empty calories like somebody who's got one injury away from being a 15 to 20 fantasy
point per game player that's the kind of player i want to have on on the back end of my roster now not
the guys like for instance tyler locket who we talked about just a few minutes ago that's not that's an
empty calorie fantasy player give me the guy who uh sitting in the back of the fridge right and maybe
one day the chef is going to come out and say hey you know that let me cook up something real nice with
that that's the kind of player with Brian Robinson that that I I like on my roster because
there's even a chance you put him in a lineup over a guy like Bill and he's going to
outscore him anyway like he would have this week a lot of shade throwed at jacori kroski
merit by Joe Dolan there and speaking of empty calories it's not against Bill in general it's
just like it's the ball in the royal bill in the royal sense in the royal sense
really a nice professional segue from from Joe because Tom we're going to talk
about some potential empty calorie running back touches this week. Arizona loses Bam
night, which is going to kind of consolidate things here. Amari Di Mercado could be an interesting
play this week against San Francisco because of his ability to catch passes, sort of those
high value touches in this offense. He had four catches for 64 yards. We certainly can't
depend on 16 yards per carry from DeMercato, but three catches for 40 yards, I would be
surprised if he didn't get a few extra targets if he is, in fact, the lead back here.
But then we've also got Michael Carter sort of in the background. We've seen Carter have a really
big fantasy game early this season. Everybody kind of remembers Carter having the 18-point game
in week five. Then, of course, he came crashing back down to Earth against San Francisco.
And mind you, this is a home game in Arizona. Are you interested in either one of these
backs if Bam Knight, in fact, misses time?
Yeah, we'll see about Bam Knight's future here in the next week or two with this ankle injury.
We're also waiting on the Trey Benson stuff.
Didn't have his window opened up last week, but maybe Bam Knight's injury speeds that up along.
So we're watching two different injuries in this backfield, but if it kind of stays the way it is, the way it's kind of looking, heading into the week,
D. Mercado would be the priority for me.
And he has ripped off a couple of big runs.
Of course, we all remember the one that got him in the dog house whenever he dropped the ball before the goal line.
But he's had a couple of different, you know, explosive runs.
So he needs the ball a little bit in this offense.
He's giving this running game a little bit of juice.
But he's not going to get all the backfield, as you said.
Michael Carter, he kind of came into the fourth quarter.
It was a little bit of a blowout.
But he did see heavy snaps next to Omar DiMercado.
And I think it would probably be about split the carries.
in this backfield against the 49ers, if it's those two leading the backfield.
But DeMercato should see most of the passing game work, and that's where he can affect
the game a little bit more.
So I would put a priority on DeMercato this week.
But, yeah, even with Knight and Benson out this week, he's probably like a really low-end
RB2, maybe more of a flex type of play this week.
Yeah, I'm on team DeMercato.
Joe, would you be on DeMercato or Carter this week?
week if Bam can't go. DeMarcato. And look, so it players can go one of two ways, right?
With A.D. Mitchell, he ended up in the doghouse and never got out. They traded him.
Amari DiMercado reportedly there, I think they were talking about this on the broadcast yesterday,
a lot on Sunday about how he took that, used it as motivation, and now has become a contributor,
a big contributor for this Arizona backfield. All things equal, I want the guy who's going to play on
passing situations and that's deep rotato yeah and this is not exactly a powerhouse team just got
smoked by by seattle this can end up being a game where they're trailing once again um let's pivot
over to Tampa bay Tampa bay yesterday interesting Sean Tucker had the most rushing yards any
players had against new england this season new england just simply doesn't let you run on them
nine carries for 53 yards also had a single catch so Rashad white leads the backfield
He ends up with sort of five catches for minimal yardage, but ends up outscoring Tucker, but it was close.
So we all saw what happened in the New Orleans game, where Tucker played well in that one.
Now sort of similar usage here.
The Buffalo matchup is an interesting one.
Buffalo just got completely shredded by Devon A-chan.
Bucky Irving is one of these mystery players where he's out.
He's not on the IR.
He's not practicing.
He hasn't been hit yet.
I don't think he's going to be back.
I mean, he could be back against Buffalo conceivably,
but I wouldn't bet money on it.
Would you be interested in using Sean Tucker, Joe,
in sort of a dark throw if you're in running back hell?
Yes, is the short answer.
The long answer, you know,
is going to require a deeper dive into the numbers right now.
But I think we've got to go down Narrative Street a little bit here with Buffalo.
How is Buffalo going to respond?
because they just had one of the worst weeks of a contending team can possibly have.
Brandon Bean leaks to the press on Sunday morning that they almost traded for Jalen Waddle,
but Miami wouldn't trade him in division.
And I guess this was supposed to be to make him look good for standing pat at the deadline.
In my opinion, it made him look worse.
Like an idiot.
It makes it look like an idiot.
Buffalo comes out is completely flat.
First of all, Waddle himself shreds them.
And then Buffalo doesn't have a receiver who can get open downfield.
Hell, even on Keon Coleman's touchdown, he wasn't open.
Josh Allen threw it to the back shoulder.
And that's Keon Coleman's skill set.
I get that.
But they don't have a receiver down the field who gets open.
You know, meanwhile, you can't tell me Rashid for a fourth and a fifth round pick
couldn't have helped the Buffalo Bills.
But that's beside the point.
But what's Bill's team is going to respond here?
Is Sean McDay going to be able to pick them up off the canvas again
and have them rally in front of their home fans against a good Tampa
Bay team and shut them down, I actually think yes, as worried as I am about what Brandon Bean
and his inactivity at the deadline, I think Buffalo's going to respond and step up to play
against Tampa Bay.
But Sean Tucker, as you mentioned, they kind of rode the hot hand, did the Buccaneers.
He was the hotter hand.
Now, I think they'll give Rashad White the first chance, but I'll, I'd rather go in with
Sean Tucker a little bit sight unseen than go with some of these other running backs on bad teams
who I just know aren't going to give me anything.
So I have some mild interest in Sean Tucker,
and the thing is he's probably available in your league
if you're really desperate.
Yeah, Buffalo is the weirdest team going right now.
You know, the Kansas City game, such positivity.
The Carolina game, such positivity.
But if we look at it like a big picture thing,
the first month of the year,
they had 30 points or more every single week.
And since then, you've now had four out of their last,
excuse me, three out of their last five games
have been 20 points scored or fewer.
And guys, it's almost comical
to hear about this near Jalen Wattle trade.
Like, if you view yourself as a Super Bowl contender,
why not give up the 2026 first round pick
to get a player who would have instantly helped you
when you have primetime Josh Allen?
And it's also comical that the dolphins couldn't figure out
they would have taken the 2026 first,
but not the 2027 first, we're in there in this sort of rebuild.
I think it makes both of them look bad.
They looks like bad dynasty managers.
It's like the guy who's rebuilding who can't effectively rebuild
and the guy who's close to winning your dynasty league
but never can get there because he's very stubborn
and a trade calculator guy.
Another backfield that's kind of,
I'll call it an empty calorie one,
but also one that we need to sort of unpack.
Tom, unpack what's going on in Washington.
It looked like Chris Rodriguez would have been a guy
we should be talking about.
There's a shoulder injury now.
this is a offense sort of heading south, a team heading in the wrong direction, and still a
committee backfield. Your thoughts on how fantasy managers should be treating the Washington
commanders running backs? Yeah, I think Chris Rodriguez is probably the most valuable out of the three
backs here over Jacori Kroski Merritt and Jeremy McNichols. I just don't know how valuable
that is moving forward, probably a flex type of option for you moving forward. But they're going
playing from behind him most weeks, and he doesn't really add anything as a receiver.
But very clearly, he got the start.
They named him the captain before this game.
They're just looking to get a little bit of a spark from somebody, and it looked like they
kind of targeted Rodriguez as a potential guy for that.
And he did score a touchdown.
He nearly decapitated a photographer.
He was so fired up whipping the ball at the pads behind the photographer, almost took her head
off.
but he unfortunately picked up that shoulder injury.
So we'll see if he's able to get back and play.
They do have a buy week in week 11, week 12 after this Madrid game.
So you have to, my thinking is they'll probably,
this team's not going anywhere either.
So like I have a hard time believing that he'll play.
But he might still be a guy that you pick up and put up the end of your bench.
We had a discussion earlier about handcuffs.
I much rather roster guys like Brian Robinson, Blake Corum,
guys that are one injury away from being difference makers.
But if you don't really have those options off the waiver wire,
I do think Rodriguez is worth an ad just in case he's kind of the guy down the stretch.
I don't think they're going to completely phase out Bill in the final couple weeks of the season.
But Rodriguez is definitely somebody that they think can give this offense a little bit of life down the stretch.
So he should be rostered in really deep league.
yeah it just feels like Washington's trying to figure things out right now and they're just throwing bodies at situations and Rodriguez at least gives them a little bit of a spark uh Joe last running back situation to talk about before we move on this is the second consecutive week where devon singletary has sort of led the giants backfield in fantasy scoring tyrone Tracy was effective and efficient as a runner 14 carries for 71 yards but nothing as a receiver singletary three catches for 50
three yards. Also had eight carries. So again, out carried 14 to eight, but leads in the charge in
terms of receiving. We saw Mike Kafka mention, like to the press earlier in the week, reiterated that
Tyrone Tracy is sort of the starter, says we use sort of the hot hand here. Anything to unpack. I mean,
which one would you rather use if you had to use the Giants back? Or should we be trying to avoid
this situation entirely? This is mostly an avoid situation, but it is.
the bigger question is the quarterback situation, right?
Because if Jackson Dart misses time, and I would have to imagine he will,
he's been evaluated for a concussion four times this year,
what are they going to do at quarterback?
Because if they go to James Winston, this becomes a, you know,
a throw it all over the field kind of offense,
and in which case I'd probably prefer to go with Singletary.
But Tracy has a background as a wide receiver as well.
So I kind of want to hold on to see exactly,
what happens with the Giants quarterback situation
because you're going to have to run a completely different offense
if you go to James and I look I think there's just no reason
to play Russell Wilson at this stage if Jackson Dart misses
but we'll we'll cross that bridge later on this week when
Ryan Daebel has to talk about Jackson Dart yeah it's it's a one to avoid
I think if I was in a complete jam
with Jackson Dart sort of missing this week
I might lean into Singletary just on the past catching ability
and the fact that he's giving us just a little bit more juice in that department.
Where would you go with this one if you had to use one of these ones, Tom?
See, I'm the opposite.
I think Tracy brings more to the passing game.
We did see early in the season.
Russell was checking it down to these backs quite a bit.
So the routes in our fantasy points data, our guys are hard at work and our data's already up from the game.
He kind of lapped them in route share.
Tyrone Tracy, that is over Singletary, 37% to 12% route.
here in week 10 there.
So I would lean heavily towards Tracy.
Just, and we hope that, you know, Russell Wilson, if he does start a game or two here,
he checks it down to his backs.
We did see Tracy have a four for 36 game with Russell Wilson in week two against the Cowboys.
So that's where I'm, Lena.
I do think Tracy has the advantage in the passing game.
Yeah, a lot to unpack with this team.
And it'll be interesting to see sort of what happens with the quarter.
you'd hate to risk anything long-term with your,
I mean, you finally get a franchise quarterback in New York.
The team is heading in the wrong direction in terms of wins and losses.
Brian Dable just finds a way to lose games, no matter what the situation.
I think they're going to be very, very cautious with DART if this ends up being anything
serious concussion-wise.
Let's take one more quick break.
We come back.
Let's unpack the rest of the quarterbacks and the tight ends right after this.
All right, we talked about how we're going to unpack the quarterbacks and the tight ends,
but there's not a whole lot to unpack here.
I'd say the most interesting tight end
is probably Darren Waller.
We have a report that Waller,
there's nothing like season-ending kind of threat here.
When he's done on the IR, he's going to return.
Tom, we talked about him earlier kind of off-air,
your interest level in Darren Waller.
I'll say Miami's fighting.
That locker room speech by Mike McDaniel,
the team loves Mike McDaniel.
They're cheering for him.
I mean, like, if you haven't walked,
it. Go ahead and watch it. It makes you want to like kind of bet on the Miami Dolphins in some of
these big line games. Your thoughts on Waller, his appeal as a stash, and can he return and make
a fantasy football impact down the stretch? Yeah, I think he can. He's eligible. They have this
game over in Madrid here before. I think they have a buy week after that. So Waller could be back
in week 13, and they haven't had anything at receiver here behind Jalen Waddle.
We got Malik Washington catching all these passes around the line of scrimmage, not a real threat.
We touched on Greg Dolcich a little bit last week, just because he was giving this a little bit of an element of a downfield threat.
So Darren Waller looks like he could be back in week 13.
And we saw in those couple of games when he was healthy and in the lineup, he scored three touchdown us.
scored touchdowns in three games, four touchdowns overall.
He was a big piece of this passing attack.
So, and you're right, the dolphins are fighting a little bit here.
It looked like they were kind of dead in the water, and they still pretty much are.
But I think they have rallied around Mike Daniel here a little bit in recent weeks.
They had a blowout victory over the Falcons a couple of weeks ago, too.
They played pretty evenly with the Ravens on that Thursday night football game in terms of yards per play and, you know, yards overall first.
touchdowns in that game.
They just couldn't score any touchdowns.
So they're moving the ball with some success,
both through the air and on the ground here.
So I would pick up Darren Waller here.
He's been dropped a lot.
22% owned in Yahoo leagues right now.
So you're not going to get anything for the next two weeks,
but strictly a stash.
If you're really hurting at the tight end position,
I do think he's worth an ad right now.
Maybe you can throw him in your IR spot as well.
Joe, I'll throw two names out here.
And these guys are all going to be available
on pretty much every single waiver wire at this point.
Would you rather use Dawson Knox in a fill-in role
with Dalton Kincaid now injured,
or would you rather use Pat Friarmouth,
who's had some middling success over the last month in Pittsburgh?
It's Dawson Knox, and it's not even close.
The only thing that is making me question that a little bit
is Jackson Hawes, the rookie tight end,
the bills, who's a really good blocker, but they've also gotten him some work in the passing
game when he's had to play. But I'm going to chase the touchdown with Dawson Knox. I'm going
to chase, I mean, better offense is kind of a not really that. It's not that significantly
better, but Josh Allen is a superhero. So I'll chase the touchdown with Dawson Knox over
Pat Fryermuth, who I think is a threat of a goose. Look, Dawson Knox is a threat of a goose egg
as well. But man, Buffalo doesn't have anybody like D.K. Metcalf on the perimeter. And even
though D.K. Metcalf hasn't exactly been lighting the world on fire, that's a better option
on the perimeter than anybody Buffalo has. Give me Dawson Knox. Yeah, imagine Buffalo went and got
D.K. Metcalfe this past off season instead of like sitting back on their heels. Tom, we also had
Yeah. Josh Palmer. Yeah. Josh Palmer. Yeah. It's absolute. And I like Palmer. I like Palmer.
It's a third receiver. That's a guy who very clearly has shown to you.
you that he's not reliable. But there's a, you know what? Let me just throw that out there really
quick. There's an interesting name because they very clearly need somebody. Maybe Josh Palmer,
God forbiddy, trips out of bed and somehow he does the rookie of the year thing where he breaks
his arm, but it turns into an elite athlete. There's a name maybe you stash on the bench because
they sure need him. Henry Rowan. Henry Rowan. Henry Rowan. That's a great, great movie. Nice
reference. I love that one. If you haven't seen that one, go ahead and throw it in. It's a classic. Classic 90s
sports movie. Let's kind of wrap up the tight end position here with
Arande Gadsen, who really is one of the waiver wire ads of the
entire year for fantasy managers. We're awaiting an MRI. So
we just sort of how the sausage is made. We record this on
Monday mornings on the East Coast. This is a of course West Coast
based franchise. So I'm not sure when we'll get this
information back on Gadsden. So if you're listening to the podcast on
on Tuesday, you're going to have a much better idea than we do at this point about just how
banged up Gadsden is. Let's say Gadsden misses three games here. Are we interested in Tyler
O'Lock, Tyler Conklin here, Tom? Not really. I think it was a pretty unique situation here
with Ronda Gadsden. They kind of started calling the offense around him and it kind of hurt
Quentin Johnston a little bit, guy who really had a big start to the first month of the season and
has cooled off a little bit since then, since a run to Gadsden really came back,
really came on here as a rookie.
So if Gadsden's out of the lineup, I do think we'll see more Conklin,
but I also do think we'll see Disley back active again.
I know he was a healthy scratch last night.
I think they'll probably use a little bit of a committee at the position.
And I just think that they're just going to target Quentin Johnson a little bit more,
Ladd-McConkie and maybe get Keenan Allen on the field a little bit more.
He's lost a lot of snaps since they started going with more.
multiple tight-end sets the last couple of weeks.
So I don't have a whole lot of faith that Tyler Conklin is going to be a fantasy factor here in the next couple of weeks.
Yeah, and we also get the week 12 by.
So it's another opportunity for Gadsden to get healthy.
I agree with you completely.
I think it's going to be a lot.
It's pretty much what we saw at the beginning of the season,
where all of the passing game work goes to the wide receivers,
and they sort of de-emphasize the tight-end position.
I think it would be a uptick for Quentin Johnston.
Keenan Allen, in theory, would see an uptick,
but he's just been on such a downward spiral here,
three straight weeks with fewer than 50 receiving yards,
and three straight weeks with four catches or fewer,
two catches in two out of three games,
just kind of ugly stuff.
Joe, let's talk about the quarterback position.
Marcus Marriota gave you kind of what you needed
if you used him as like a spot start.
I had two touchdown passes, also gave you a little bit as a runner, sort of your thoughts on
Marriota leading sort of a broken Washington offense.
Yeah, you know, before last night, I would have considered the matchup in Madrid, by the way,
for week 11 against the Dolphins, a positive matchup for Marks, Mario.
Maybe it still is.
That Dolphins defense just played an inspired brand of football.
But, nah, I mean, he's a fill-in quarterback.
And with only two teams on by, only one of which, by the way, has a startable
fantasy quarterback, that being the Colts.
I'm not really sure how interested I'll be in Marcus Marriota this week.
But for Superflex, I mean, he has given you exactly what you have needed and there's no
reason for Washington to not just keep rolling with him.
Yeah, imagine you lived in Europe and you bought these tickets to go see Jaden Daniels and you
spent like all this money and now you're going to go see Marcus Marietta.
Or if you live in the United States and you're like, ah, let's do a trip overseas to see our
favorite team.
That would be even worse.
I wonder what the ratio is on these games.
I understand England, you get like, yeah.
Yeah, I wonder if it's a 25% Americans in the,
or a lot of expats, I'm sure will show up there.
But still very, very cool.
They're doing a game in Madrid,
but not exactly what people signed up for
with the team that made it all the way
to the NFC championship game
with this dynamic year two quarterback.
So tough, tough times in Washington.
I think Miami's going to get them this week.
That'll be an interesting game for,
make sure you're checking out all of Tom's,
gambling stuff. Tom, you've been on a heater this year with your prop bets. How did you do this
past week? 10 and 4 this past week with a bet pending on Monday night football. I do have actually
money on the dolphins. That was one of my first plays of the week here. I have the dolphins over the
commanders laying less than a field goal for that Madrid game. So hopefully my ATS picks have been
trash. I will say that. I would not follow the ATS, follow the player props. The player props for
Tom have been just on fire.
If your fantasy team's sort of going south here, pivot over to DFS, pivot over to gambling.
Your fantasy point subscription is going to get you access to all of Tom's player prop bets.
Tom has been absolutely on fire.
You're going to pay for your fantasy points subscription with one week of Tom's action.
And if you're really, really a heavy gambler, you could pay for 10 years of your fantasy
point subscriptions of one week's of Tom's picks.
The DFS picks have been on fire.
Shout out to all the team over at Fantasy Points.
Chris Wecht, our amazing projections guru, and our dynasty content.
We've got you covered not only in redraft.
Make sure you're checking that out.
Tom, let's talk about Jacoby Brissette.
Even in blowout fashion, he continues to get you there.
258 passing yards, two touchdown passes, and he adds 31 yards as a runner.
He's been playing well and producing.
he has an unbelievable connection with Trey McBride.
McBride had the most receiving yards he's had all season long.
Looks like sort of a league winner at the tight end position.
But your takeaways here from Jacoby Brissette.
And right now, if the, like, depending on what happens on Monday Night Football,
this will be Jacoby Brissette with his fifth straight week,
excuse me, fourth straight week of finishing as a QB1.
Yeah, he's been actually pretty sensational for fantasy.
a 20 plus fantasy points and four straight games up over 258 yards in all those games
and two plus passing touchdowns in those contests.
So he's been really good here.
We got word last week that Kyler Murray went to the IR.
So we got at least three more games with Verset.
And I don't think anybody would be shocked if we don't see another snap from Kyler
Murray this season at Cardinals uniform.
And there's probably at least a decent chance.
it never happens again later this offseason.
So this is Brissette's job.
And I don't think people realize that he's also running.
Like, as you said, he's averaging three and a half points per game as a runner.
He looks like he's kind of laboring out there.
He kind of lumbers whenever he leaves the pocket, but he can move and he's not afraid to do it.
So he's got a strong connection here with Trey McBride.
Marvin Harrison has shown some signs of life.
Michael Wilson is actually relevant.
a little bit relevant here with the Presettic quarterback.
And they continue to have all these issues in the backfield.
So they're kind of forced to throw it a lot.
So I like him a lot.
He's kind of a mid-QB-2 for me right now, only rostered in 20% of Yahoo
leagues.
So if you need a streamer or just that second quarterback on your roster,
he should not be on the waiver wire after this week.
Yeah.
And again, San Francisco was smoked this past week by L.A.
The games in Arizona.
I think Brissette's a very, very interesting.
a bi-week fill-in or spot starter.
Got a lot of juice there.
And he's consolidating his targets
among McBride and Harrison Jr.
And then, like you said,
he's an opportunistic scrambler.
He's not, I wonder what his 40-time is right now.
It's not good, but he's opportunistic.
He knows when to run.
He's a veteran.
We'll end the show with this one.
We love throwing a name that Joe doesn't want to talk about.
But let's get Joe's thoughts on Tyler Shuck.
Tyler Shuck and the Saints get a win.
maybe you do want to talk about Tyler Shuck.
Two touchdown passes.
One goes to Chris Alave.
One goes to Joanne Johnson.
We've talked about Joanne Johnson on the show like 20 times.
I think he's probably rostered by most fantasy points, listeners and viewers.
He's kind of interesting because, again, Rashid Shaheed was 15th among all wide receivers
and targets setting into this week.
So that void, I think, is going to be a consolidation of the two main receivers there.
Lavi gets a touchdown, Johnson gets a touchdown, and Tyler Shuck out plays Bryce Young, and the Saints win 17.7.
Is this a sign of things to come? Can the Saints be a functional offense down the stretch?
No. I mean, now look, I was impressed with Tyler Shuck, but here's the question. I wonder what the use the use case of talking about him is because he's probably rostered already in Superflex leagues, just because every starting quarterback is rostered in Superflex league.
And he's not somebody I'm going to pick up for a one quarterback league.
But I was pretty impressed by his performance.
The other concern I have, Theo, is in week 12, when they come out of by, they're playing
the Falcons who, look, the Falcons are a mess, but that defense really got after Daniel
Jones in that game.
So that is something that I would be concerned about playing Tyler Shuck.
But in terms of isolating his individual performance, I was pretty impressed.
And Tom, do you think we see a change at quarterback in New York?
should Superflex managers be speculively picking up Tyrod Taylor?
Yeah, I would be.
Justin Fields is, I think he's been under 54 or fewer passing yards in three of his last four starts.
So he got lucky, special teams bailed him out in week 10.
He got another victory here, back-to-back wins.
So they're not going to make a change right now, but they probably should.
I think all the procrastination that Aaron Glenn has done over the last couple of weeks,
not naming a starter.
I think he really does want to name Tyrod Taylor the starter,
but it's just not a great look to change it after a victory here.
So whenever they go up to New England this week and get their doors blown off of them,
they're already like 12.5 point underdogs going into that Thursday night game.
And it's really embarrassing on national TV on a standalone game.
I would expect Tyrod Taylor to be the starter in week 12.
So if you want to get out ahead of it, pick them up now because I just don't.
see Fields making all the starts the rest of the way.
Yeah, I think we could end up seeing a midgame switch.
If Thursday goes the way, I think we think it could.
