week 17 fantasy football championship week waiver wire additions which players should you be adding to your roster
which players should you no need to stash him anymore guys which players can you stream this week
maybe under the radar sleeper players a lot of attrition going to
on in the NFL. Players are dropping. We are seeing new players step up in their place.
And guys, when we were drafted our best ball teams way, way back in the summer in the
olden days of redraft season, a lot of us circled this Green Bay Baltimore game as one that
would have huge playoff implications, teams that we thought would be in driver's seat potentially
to make a Super Bowl. You have Jordan Love, you have Lamar Jackson. Both of those players
look like they're going to be out this week. But you have some
intriguing replacement level players in Tyler Huntley and Malik Willis.
Joe Dolan, which player do you have more confidence in of these two quarterbacks if you're
looking to actually stream a quarterback here?
I mean, the confidence is in Malik Willis, who has done just remarkable work from a fantasy
football and a real life perspective when he's filled in for Jordan Love these last couple of
years.
And quite frankly, I just think the Green Bay offense is a much more well-oiled machine.
right now than the completely disjointed Baltimore Ravens.
Zayflowers is playing some good ball, but drops are an issue for that offense.
Now, let's keep an eye on the receivers in Green Bay.
But nonetheless, I think Malik Willis is absolutely a borderline top 12 option this week.
This is last season, I think he averaged close to 60 yards rushing per game,
added a couple of touchdowns.
I think he's a really great streaming option this week.
And probably when Chris Weck comes out with our projections on Wednesday morning,
I would venture to guess he's going to be close to the top 12 in those projections.
This is a Baltimore defense that it's been a war of attrition for them
and they've kind of flunked it at least against the Patriots in the second half.
Malik Willis is going to be on my radar.
Yeah, Malik Willis is my answer as well.
Interesting thing about Malik Willis is he's 26 years old.
He's going to be a free agent this offseason.
I think there's sort of a non-zero chance that he could play himself into a bridge quarterback role for a number of franchises.
We don't have especially deep NFL draft class of quarterbacks this year that we think are going to draft in the first round.
Malik Willis has a chance to earn himself some money this week.
Do you agree with us here, Tom?
You're rolling Malik Willis over Huntley?
Yeah, definitely.
I like to, I mean, Malik Willis really passed the eye test on Saturday as well.
He looked sharp.
They were playing in some heavy wins.
Chicago, and he threw a couple, you know, frozen ropes through the, through the wind there.
So, you know, they're going to be playing up in Green Bay.
Could be some elements.
We never know.
I do think it is supposed to be a little bit warmer over the Christmas holiday, but it's Green Bay.
You could always have some weather, but Willis passed the test on Saturday night.
And this is also a little bit of a game we're playing if we're doing waivers early in the week.
I would probably put Lamar's chances of playing a little higher.
than Jordan Love.
Jordan Love still has to basically
has a full week here
to get through concussion protocol.
They're calling Lamar Jackson day to day right now.
So if I'm using FAB or waiver priority this week,
I also think there's a better chance
that Willis is the guy that actually plays
in this game compared to Huntley.
But both of those situations
will be watching closely
and we'll find out later in the week.
But I do think Willis has a slightly higher chance
of playing on Saturday.
Yeah, very, very interesting.
one and one we need to monitor, especially with the game falling on a Saturday.
Joe, we've sort of been preaching at the church of Tyler Shuck for like, seems like six
weeks now, telling people to pick him up, maybe longer than that.
Shuck's really flashing.
I mean, it's almost a foregone conclusion now that he's going to be the starting quarterback
next year in New Orleans, three game winning streak, 3808 passing yards this past week.
And this was a career high in terms of passing yards.
didn't see the rushing work with Taysom Hill being worked in a little bit more frequently.
But your thoughts on using Tyler Shuck, another winnable matchup here, a chance to go on a four-game
winning streak facing the Tennessee Titans on the road this week. Your thoughts?
Yeah, I mean, look, Tyler Shuck, first of all, let's just call it like it is, things aren't
drafting the quarterback. Like, if you're going to draft a quarterback after what Tyler Shuck
has shown you, why did you draft Tyler Shuck in the first place, would be my question.
so I don't think they're going to draft a quarterback.
Tennessee is a beatable matchup.
Now, obviously, the Kansas City Chiefs,
the shell of the Kansas City Chiefs didn't do anything against them,
but I'm not going to hold that against them.
Tyler Shuck is, as you like to say, Theo,
a not in my league bro kind of guy,
but I would put him right back on the radar
in this matchup as a kind of a lower-end,
QB-1, higher-end QB-2.
We do know he can run,
but it's not really a foundational part of his game.
But, man, they're just dropping back and letting him slinging the ball right now.
I think it is truly a coach in Kellynne Moore who knows he's got a long leash saying,
all right, kid.
Well, more like man, because Tyler Shuck's like 37.
But he's just like, all right, we're going to have you drop back 45 times.
Let's see how you handle it.
He has passed with flying colors.
I don't see why they wouldn't continue to do that in this game.
Yeah, and Tom, everything's so consolidated now.
Chris Ilave, 16 targets, fantastic game for Alave.
And then Joanne Johnson, who would probably be one of the players who would be one of our hits this year,
encouraging people to add Juan Johnson in the preseason Waver-Wire run.
And then after week one, he had nine targets, eight catches.
Everything's sort of falling into place very simple for Shuck.
And you get the Kellyn Moore offense.
Your thoughts on him this week.
You mentioned Malik Willis as a guy that could potentially be a top 12 quarterback.
About where do you think Tyler Shuck should.
be viewed in this week 17 matchup. Yeah, I think he should be right neck and neck with
Malik Willis. I do think this game has a little more juice this week too. I mean, Cam Ward is
playing better football at the end of the season. So I think the Titans offensively, Tony Pollard
started to get going a little bit. So I know the total is still like 39, 39 and a half. But I do think
the Titans offense is playing a little bit better. So I do think it's a better game environment than we
would have thought like a month ago at this time. So Shuck's, you know, feeding his guys here.
Chris Olives playing at a high level. Jelan Johnson is too. So this running back situation
continues to be, you know, a mystery here. It's kind of all on Shuck's shoulders here.
Probably saw a little too much Taysam Hill in week 16 for our liking. But I do think
Shuck is still one of the better options out there.
You know, he's 13% owned in Yahoo Leagues.
So there's a good chance he might be out there in some single QB leagues.
And if you're really hurting at the position with the Lamar injury and love and maybe
if you whiff on Malik Willis, I think Tyler Shuck is a good consolation price.
Joe, last week we mentioned Kirk Cousins.
You specifically talked about him as a potential streamer.
Two more touchdown passes for Cousins.
So three touchdown passes for Couss, excuse me, five touchdown passes.
for Kirk Cousins over his last two games played.
Your thoughts and enthusiasm level for using him in a week 17 matchup
against a high-flying L.A. Rams team.
Drake London came back, quiet game for him.
Bejohn Robinson playing out of his mind.
Kyle Pitts continues to produce in a major way.
Could this be a game where the Rams put so much pressure on Atlanta
that Cousins rises up and we see sort of a 300 yards passing
or a number of touchdown passes?
No, we were expecting to see that against the Cardinals.
And finally, Jacoby Brissette, the wheels fell off the Jacoby Brissette train in this game.
But I trust the Rams offense a whole lot more than I trust the Cardinals' offense,
even with as well as he had been playing, that being Jacobi Brisset.
Looking at the total for this Falcons and Rams game, let's see here.
Oh, it's 49 and a half.
So that's going to be one of the highest on the entire slate.
So Kirk Cousins, eight and a half point home underdog, I mean, I guess being on the
road in L.A. doesn't really matter that much because they're playing under a roof.
But I would think you get a little bit more out of Drake London, who's got a little bit fresher
legs underneath him. And I think Kirk Cousins is viable against the Rams. You would think
the Rams are going to take it to them. And at the very least, even if Kirk Cousins isn't
pushing the ball down the field, we saw Bijon Robinson can take a little dump all 60 yards.
That is something he can do. So he's been out of his mind and Kurt Cousins. Some of the other
names we talk about, like I prefer Malik Willis to Kirk Cousins this week.
But if you miss out on Malik Willis, I think Kirk Cous is a fine option.
Yeah, Tom, anything to sort of add here on Cousins or any of the quarterbacks in general that we might have not have covered.
No, I think we covered it all.
I mean, you know, Aaron Rogers was looking interesting, but if he doesn't have D.K. Metcalf, don't really want to go there.
Bryce Young has been pretty hit or miss.
So I think if we're in the finals here, hopefully the rest of your teams in your leg aren't picking up quarterbacks for any reason,
I would kind of, you know, order it Willis, Shuck, Cousins, and Huntley if I was, you know, looking at guys that are well available here.
So I think we hit the quarterbacks pretty good here.
Yeah, go get yourself some Malik Willis.
This could be a really, really fun one for him.
And Dynasty managers, if you still have the ability to trade, consider going and getting some Malik Willis.
On the offhand chance, he gets a starting job heading into next year.
We're going to take a quick break.
We come back.

The Early Bird Special is here.
Tom, let's talk about running backs.
Let's talk about Emmanuel Wilson.
We saw it last week, increased volume,
he's been a player that, again, we recommended him several times this season as a stash.
It's starting to pay off a little bit at times.
Does it pay off in a week 17 game against Baltimore?
I hope so, but it's all going to come down to Jacob's status here again.
They kind of forced him, not forced him.
He wanted to play, and he's been gutting through this injury,
and he looked terrible on Saturday night and has the big fumble at the goal line.
They essentially benched him after that.
It was all Emmanuel Wilson, and he looked far better than Jacobs did in that game.
So maybe this will, you know, they still have aspirations for a playoff berth here.
They're nearly wrapped it up here.
They might know by Saturday as well if Detroit loses on, I believe they play on Christmas Day against the Vikings.
So if they would happen to lose the Vikings, Packers pretty much are locked into the playoffs.
So maybe they would take that opportunity to rest Jacobs here.
he's struggling through this injury.
They need him back to close to 100% for the postseason.
So I think this would be a good opportunity for them to play Wilson
on Saturday night against the Ravens.
So we did see him.
He played well in week 16.
And he had one game as the starter,
26 and a half fantasy points back in week 12.
So he had a monster performance when he was the lead back.
I would think Chris Brooks would also be involved
a little bit, but Wilson needs to be owned in basically every league at this point.
If you're playing in a potential championship game this week and Wilson is still sitting out
in your way over wire, he should be probably the number one priority here in case Jacobs does
sit this week. I think that's the one, you mentioned it, and it's sort of the one sort of
nightmare scenario would be if they let Jacobs rest, but everything's sort of wrapped up for them
as a team, and they choose to keep Emmanuel Wilson fresh as well, and you see a big Chris Brooks
game as the number three back. So just during that little moment of fear out there, but I agree
with you completely. Wilson needs to be a priority. He has a lot of outs if we were using a poker
term for this week. Joe Dolan, last week we talked about Michael Carter, and I was maybe way too
enthusiastic about Michael Carter in this game. Again, it's the one week that everyone streams
Jacobi Brissette. He lays an egg. Trey McBride lays an egg, and we end up getting Michael Carter
with like six and a half ppr points. But again, Michael Carter gets double digit carries. The target
volume went down considerably in this one. It was a weird game flow one, but this week, Arizona
goes up against the Cincinnati Bengals. Your thoughts on using Carter in a flex spot, using them
potentially as an emergency brake glass kind of RB2. Are you enthusiastic,
about this road matchup in Cincinnati's defense, by the way, has been much better as of late,
obviously. They went out and destroyed the dolphins. Thank you. I finally cashed my dolphins
under the win total ticket. But they gave up three rushing touchdowns. Obviously, Devon
A. Chan goes and gets everybody. And then also they gave one up to Malikwels and Jalen Wright.
So I think Michael Carter is completely viable in this matchup. You would think Arizona would
bounce back a little bit offensively.
I would like to see him get a little bit more involved as a receiver.
Unfortunately, they used three different running backs.
They used Amari Di Mercado, who's their best receiving back, who's still on the active roster.
And then they used Corey Kiner as well.
So Michael Carter, I think, is more of a low-end RB2, but the matchup is something that would
make me a little bit more excited to use them.
Yeah, and Tom, in the same game,
game, Somaget Pirine scored a touchdown this past week. Arizona at home, Arizona can't stop
anybody. Is there any consideration as a dart throw at using the backup running back in Cincinnati
or is that sort of a chasing waterfalls type scenario? Yeah, that's, that might be the last resort.
But he is out there. He's widely available. If you're really desperate, I hope if you made it to
the finals, that you're not reaching that far into the bag for help. But who knows? We never know.
It does get a little wonky this time of year.
Not, you know, a lot of the playoff picture is already kind of cleared up in both sides of the league.
So maybe some weird stuff can happen later this week.
But in a 14-team, 16-team league, I think there's worse options to go deep on and take Somaget P-Rine in a really good matchup.
He is getting a lot of work and he could get some goal-line opportunities.
But that would be the last resort for me.
Joe, we had a catastrophic injury to a young player where we were very enthusiastic about.
I'm working on my way too early 2026 rankings now, and I was going to have Quinn Sean Judkins
probably optimistically high in them, because I think he's a very talented player, goes down
with now a multitude of leg injuries, I'm not sure what the recovery time is going to be,
but it's terrible timing for him to go down with an injury like this, very close to the new
year. For this week, specifically, if you're looking for a replacement in the Cleveland
backfield, which way are you leaning? And do you want any part of this situation? Not really.
The Quinn John Jenkins, the thing that was getting encouraging in that game was that he was getting,
he was getting a ton of targets, by the way. He had, I think he had six targets, and he caught five
of them in that game. And that was encouraging because they have not been able to run the ball of late.
I don't really have any faith whatsoever in Rocket Sanders.
And if Dylan Samson is back, Dylan Samson will probably get that receiving work.
If I had to lean to one guy, it would be Dylan Samson.
But as Tom alluded to, man, if you got this far and you're picking up Rocket Sanders in your championship game,
I'm not really sure who you'd put him in over in a lineup at this point.
So this is pretty much an avoid situation for me right now.
Yeah, and Tom, we were talking about Dylan Sampson a little bit in the pre-show, inactive this past week.
But if he's able to go, I actually think he's interesting enough that I'm picking him up, even if I don't want to use him.
Just on the offhand chance you get like a Dylan Sampson, six, seven catch, you know, we've seen it before with him.
Where are you out on this one?
Do you agree with Joe?
Yeah, this would be a great class in case of emergency.
But I still might want to, like if I'm blocking somebody in my.
my leg or, you know, just want to kind of optimize my roster, fill it out just so nobody else
has somebody from this backfield. It would be Dylan Samson. He was, you know, far ahead of Rahim
Sanders earlier this season. As you said, he's much more dynamic in the passing game. Trivion
Williams was actually working in the passing game, kind of handling those snaps with Sanders
after the Judkins injury. So Samson has the ability to kind of, you know, do, you know, run a little
bit, catch a little bit. So he's much more dynamic and he would be the player. I wouldn't want to love
to play him, but if my opponent is weak at running back or, you know, is really desperate, maybe just
even picking him up and blocking him from being a possibility for an opponent is probably
worth it this week. Yeah. And again, if you're a dynasty manager, Dylan Samson becomes a little
bit more of a priority with now this quenchon judkins timeline sort of being up in the year
heading into next season. So Samson, we've talked about him on a couple of different shows.
It does have the ability to catch the football. You get some of these wild and wacky week
17 games. At least Samson, if he plays, does have that in his bag. And we know Shadur
Sanders is going to pass the football. One running back that you brought up, which I think is an
interesting name, and another one where somebody might look up a week from now and
say, wow, Tom mentioned this guy, and he ended up with like 18 points out of nowhere.
Xavier Scott on the Minnesota Vikings. Your thoughts on him this week, Vikings, not giving
people a whole lot of confidence level, but Xavier Scott does have that receiving ability.
Yeah, we got a couple of injury situations. We're, you know, kind of monitoring here with Minnesota.
Jordan Mason left for an ankle injury. Never, never came back. They're playing on Christmas Day,
So quick turnaround, I would doubt that he plays.
Aaron Jones also left a little, for a little bit of time in week 16.
He also had a little bit of an ankle injury.
Man, this guy is, I mean, he always is battling injuries,
but especially this year, he's got a little bit of a shoulder, you know,
earlier this year, some lower body hamstring issues.
So older player, this game is kind of meaningless for them.
I know they would probably like to beat the Lions on Christmas Day.
national audience, but if they decide to sit both of these guys down with a quick turnaround,
I think Xavier Scott could be a bell cow for them, get most of almost all the work in this
backfield. And as he said, he's competent in the passing game. He can catch a few passes.
I don't know if it's going to be the best environment if Max Brosmer has to start for the Vikings,
but there's at least a possibility here early in the week that Xavier Scott could be a bell cow
back for Minnesota if they decide to let Aaron Jones.
rest on Christmas day. Big shout out to the state of Maine. It's rare that we talk about a Maine
Black Bear, but that's Xavier Scott right there. We're going to take quick break. We come back.
We're breaking down your options at wide receiver and tight end this week for the fantasy
football championship. All right, welcome back. Fantasy Football Daily, Theo Greminger, Tom Brawley,
Joe Dolan, final show of the season. Been a good run. We've had a lot, a lot of hits here
on the waiver wire. We're going to look to do it again here. Very few wide receivers.
Joe, if Luther Burden was dropped in your league, maybe you're in a shallow league,
maybe he was dropped, how enthusiastic would you be about picking him up with the potential
to use him this week and week 17?
Yeah, let's see what the status for Roma Dunzee is as well, but Caleb Williams in that
game against Green Bay made some outrageous, or made some bad throws too.
That's kind of what Caleb Williams is, but he made some outrageous ones, including
the downfield, the walk-off to DJ Moore.
which is just insane.
But no, I think he is an interesting name that you can pick up and maybe consider him as a
wide receiver three.
They've got a match up against the 49ers, which 49ers have a lot of injuries in the
secondary.
So I think there's an opportunity for Caleb Williams in a game where they might be underdogs,
depending on what happens on Monday night football with the 49ers.
I think Luther Burton would be an appealing wide receiver three.
Anything to add here, Tom, about Luther burden?
No, it's just going to be one of those situations where we're watching the injury report.
Roma Dunes-A's, he seems much more likely to miss here.
And nobody really, you know, until DJ Moore scores the late touchdown,
nobody really stepped forward as the number one.
And I think Luther Burden has been that guy for them so far this season.
So would be a good environment against the 49ers.
They, you know, they're like rank last and pressure rate.
so Caleb Williams would have some time to throw.
And I think Burden would be kind of the guy,
but it is very much up in the air.
He didn't practice it all last week.
So, you know, it's one of these situations where he could miss another week
and he might not be available for you this week.
Yeah, and again, we're looking to chase games.
We're looking to chase good situations.
I do think that with Chicago and San Francisco,
it's been a game that we've circled before the season,
and it might pay off.
this might end up being a game that actually
tilts over and is actually a really fun one for fantasy.
We also chase teams that are ascending this time of year,
and there's no team that's more red-hot
than the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jacksonville, I mean, unbelievable stuff from Liam Cohen.
They go into Denver and they win by two touchdowns.
Trevor Lawrence, again, on everybody's bench this week
because of the difficult matchup,
despite him being the QB1 overall last week,
follows it up with another four touchdown game, three passing touchdowns, also a rushing
score for Lawrence, incredible stuff there. And a lot of his passing yardage went to Parker
Washington. Washington leads Jacksonville with 10 targets, ends up with six catches for
145 yards and a touchdown. Washington has had a number of very, very strong games this year.
He has now four games with 17 points or more, and these have,
all occurred since week nine.
Now, again, Jacoby Myers gets the big contract extension.
You've got Brian Thomas Jr.
You've got Brenton Strange.
Travis ETN continues to work into the passing game.
So there's a lot of weapons there.
But are we running it back with Parker Washington coming off of an absolute heater
against one of the NFL's best defenses?
Your thoughts here, Joe?
Yeah.
As somebody who had a prop bet on Jacobi Myers over four and a half catches,
I'm the Parker Washington is not on my nice list.
right now, I'll tell you that much.
Brian Thomas got shut down, as we predicted.
Trevor Lawrence played the game of his life, I would argue,
because it was against this Broncos defense.
And yeah, he still doesn't get it done.
Jacoby Myers didn't.
My question is, how are we going to trust Parker Washington?
Because I'm looking back at these big games that he has had,
like you even said, since week nine,
only one of those games was in a game in which Brian Thomas was active.
so we have these two games
and in that game that Brian Thomas was acted
they hadn't yet acquired
Jacobi Myers. So my question is
how much of this is because
Brian Thomas was being shut down by Patrick
Sertan and
obviously I saw Jacobi Myers had a couple
of reps on Patrick Sartan as well
but their connection wasn't great. I think
he had like eight or nine targets and only caught four
of them. I think Tom
credit to Parker Washington
Dynasty, you should be very
interested for redraft this feels like full's goal to me yeah you know what yeah you know what's
going to happen joe sorry tom you know what's going to happen joe is this is going to be like a nine
catch jacobby mire's game the week after you had of course yeah just the way it goes
tom sorry to interrupt you what are you going to say about park or wash i will say uh in his favor
i think he has had the best connection with trevor lawrence uh at least in the back half of the
season he is looking for him uh he's playing at a really high level we've seen him uh play you know
He's been spectacular on special teams for them.
He's a guy that's really elevated his game in his second season here.
So I don't think this is fluky at all.
He's commanding targets.
And he does get, you know, they do get this Colts matchup, you know,
one of the better slot matchups in the league.
So he's risky for sure.
He could certainly go out and get four targets and three catches and, you know,
do very little here.
But if you're really hurting at the wide receiver position,
I do think he's at least making some big plays on a weekly basis.
And this is one of the best offenses in the league right now.
So I think there's worse reaches right now.
And again, I sort of lean a little bit more towards Tom on this one
because the last time we saw Jacksonville go up against Indianapolis,
they hung 36 on them.
The game's in Indianapolis.
Indianapolis is going to be playing on a short week after playing the 49ers.
We're recording this before Monday night football.
but Indianapolis on a short week at home,
it feels like a game that could tilt over
and we have no weather concerns whatsoever here.
So like Washington has more juice
and more positive outcomes, I feel,
than a lot of the players we've talked about on the show.
Again, 145 receiving yards this past week.
And we're trusting Trevor Lawrence who,
Joe, I think you nailed it.
Like yesterday was one of the biggest games
of his entire career.
You have that L.A. Chargers,
playoff win in year two. This one's like right up there. Unbelievable stuff. And a testament to just
how good Liam Cohen is. This team is absolutely rolling. They're a viable threat, I think,
in the AFC at this point, have to be after what we saw on Sunday. Let's pivot over to,
actually, let's talk about one more wide receiver that I think's interesting. Tom, your thoughts on
Troy Franklin, who at one point looked like he was going to be a locked-in fantasy starter.
Everything sort of fell to the wayside.
There's been multiple receivers catching passes in Denver.
Now you have sort of Troy Franklin pivoting and trending up towards the end of the season again hanging into the NFL playoffs.
Your thoughts on using him in week 17?
Yeah, I think he's very viable.
We're probably not going to have Pat Bryant on Christmas Day.
He had to be stretchered off at the end of the week 16.
He took a big hit.
He, you know, he has passed.
You know, he did get released from the.
hospital and everything. But I can't imagine that he is going to play on Thursday. They'll give him
at least a week to rest. And he was a guy that started to push Franklin off the field a little bit.
So Bryant's out of the mix. I do think Franklin should see an uptick in routes and potentially
targets. And he's made plays the last couple of weeks too. So if he's a guy that's kind of been
on and off rosters over the last month or two of the season, I think he should be back on
rosters this week and he's he's viable as a flex play this week and joe how bad did the denver
broncos want to put it on the kansas city chiefs on christmas day denver coming off of a loss here
get a chance to play a team that's been a continual thorn in their side get a chance to sweep
the kansas city chiefs this year doesn't matter who's behind center i think denver wants to just
completely annihilate them you sort of agree with this it's a rivalry matchup and it's completely one-side
this year. Yeah, and Sean Payton's a prick, and I mean that in a good way. I guess I mean
it in a good way because he's gotten himself into trouble in the past. But also, it's a game
they have to win because the Patriots are still hot on their tails. You know, the Patriots
pulled off that come from behind victory on Sunday night football. So yeah, Sean Payton is going to
lay it on the Kansas City Chiefs. I don't know if the Broncos can be favored by enough in this
game. Joe Dolan handing out locks an early Christmas
president for anyone listening to this show or watching it on YouTube. Tom, let's pivot over to the
tight end position. We had the full on Taysom Hill experience. We've seen attrition in New Orleans. We've
seen Devin Neal go down, Devon Vele go down. Adric Estime did lead the running backs, but
Taysam Hill sort of made him a non-factor fantasy-wise. He'll lined up at running back a ton. He
passed for a touchdown. And what did he have four catches as well? This was like full-on
Tassum Hill experience. Does he do it two weeks in a row with these consolidated touches?
He has tight end eligibility in a lot of leagues right now, not like years ago where it was like
one way or the other. Do you use Hill as a tight end streamer or potentially, dare I say it,
in a flex spot in tight end premium? Yeah, I would consider it, especially if I'm coming into a
matchup where I'm a huge underdog and I need a lot of variance and maybe I get this kind of
performance that we got in week 16. But Devon Valet is out of the mix. No longer. He's on the
IR. So at receiver, they're a little thin. And we've seen in the backfield here,
Devin Neal on the IR. Alvin Kamara, we don't know about his status. But it sure does seem like
they're kind of sitting him down for the rest of the season. They don't really, don't really need
them for the last two games. But so I would think that Al, that Taysam Hill stays involved here in
some capacity. He's, you know, running some routes, even through a touchdown pass. So I do
think he sticks around. So if this is, you know, one of those situations where you're a huge
underdog, you're swinging for the fences. I think Tason Hill could be a guy at the tight end
position. If you're just trotting out guys that aren't really helping you, I think he is,
he's on the radar for you. Joe, anything to add on the Tassum Hill situation here in New Orleans.
Yeah, I'm going to disagree.
I think the key is that Devin Neal is on IR, so like they used him a little bit at running back.
But he lost a fumble.
He got stopped on a fourth and one.
And on top of that, I think they used him as kind of a, like, to be quite frank, a circus act in that game because it's their final home game and it's probably the final home game of Taysom's Hill's Seat's career.
So I think they gave him extra work in that game just for the fans who, you know, obviously he's a fan favorite there.
It's a bad defense.
So I think they used Taysam Hill a little bit, a little bit too much just because they wanted to give him a little swan song in front of the hometown fans.
He's a desperation play.
I mean, he got the carries.
He got the targets.
But if you've gotten this far, I'm just, man, are you really playing Taysam Hill?
That's the question I have.
One other player that is coming off of, obviously a big huge touchdown catch for A.J. Barner, one of the best games,
of the week, really one of the best games of the season with Seattle beating the L.A. Rams this
past week on Thursday night. Barner has another touchdown. If we're sort of chasing touchdowns,
are we looking to potentially use A.J. Barner. Tom, you can keep this one as short or as long as
you want. Yeah, he's certainly on the radar here. He's, you know, he gets these opportunities with
the tush push as well. They're right on top of the goal line. Maybe he could get one of those. We did see that
earlier this season.
But yeah, he's, you know, no Elijah Arroyo here.
It's one last target that he has to compete with.
So I do think he can continue to, you know,
he's one of these guys who touchdown are bust.
I do think he has a better chance than most of these waiver wire tight ends to score
touchdown.
Yeah, I agree with you on that one.
A.J. Barner's six touchdowns this season.
You also get the sort of the chance that you get him in sort of one of those wildcat
type snaps, and he finds the end zone that way.
So Seattle. What a job by Clint Kubiak. I think next year when we talk about Clint Kubiak, he's going to be someone's head coach the way that he's going right now. Let's talk about Colby Parkinson. People are going to be angry about this one. Joe, Tom, we were all enthusiastic about him this past week. Late an egg. Are we going to run it back this week? Again, we like the matchup for L.A. This has been a game that we've been circling all season long as a potential high-scoring one. Is this a process versus versus.
results won and we say it doesn't matter that Colby Parkinson played bad and had you know five
points in tight end premium we're going to use him once again he's on the tight end streaming
radar or have you just lost trust is he out of your circle of trust here joe i mean if you
tell me before that game matthew stafford's those for 500 freaking yards like i mean no devonte
adams come on colby parkinson like there you could count on one hand the number of tight ends
I wouldn't start in front of him last week.
So I apologize.
I mean, I was in on him ever.
I would have started him over Brock Bowers.
I'll fully admit it.
I didn't have that option, but I would have.
And that's just, it's just a lay of an egg.
And I think he is on the streaming radar.
Like, you know, you talk about somebody like Brent and Strange who let us down a couple
weeks ago comes out and has a huge game against Denver.
I think Parkinson is in that range.
But man, if you don't trust him, if you, even you managed to advance despite starting him,
I think he is back on the radar.
but that is a massive egg lay and you have to you have to acknowledge you and made a mistake.
I mean, like you said, process over results, but, you know, at some point, you need a result.
Like you can't just sit there and say, you don't get a fantasy championship belt for good process.
One of the most painful things for Colby Parkinson managers was seeing that Terrence Ferguson touchdown catch.
It just, it felt like if that one was the one that was going to go to, I mean, the whole thing was tilting.
Again, Parkinson gave you so many big weeks as a player that cost you really nothing off the waiver wire.
He was a free ad.
I know a lot of tight-in premium managers who used him for a bunch of weeks, and then he completely lays an egg.
But that's fantasy football.
Yesterday we saw Amon Ross St. Brown with fewer than 10 points.
Nico Collins, fewer than 10 points.
Trey McBride, Jacoby Brissette.
I mean, there were so many guys that.
What's that one, Tom?
Josh Allen.
Oh, my gosh, the Josh Allen one.
that Josh Allen was the lowest fantasy score since his rookie season.
So that is fantasy football.
But yeah, I think Colby Parkinson, you nailed it.
He's probably going to be somewhere in our low end, tight end one projections as well.
Because again, no Devante Adams and what he's been able to do the previous week.
So anything to add, any players we didn't cover, Tom?
No, that's it.
I mean, Merry Christmas, happy holidays to everybody out there.
If you made it this long and you're still listening into.
