It's time to the Fantasy Points podcast brought to you by FantasyPoint.com.
Top-level fantasy football and NFL betting analysis from every perspective and angle,
from numbers to the film room, with a single goal to help you score more fantasy points.
Across the Fantasy Universe, welcome one and all to the two-point stance, powered by FantasyPoint.com.
What's up, everybody? I'm your boy, Brian Drake, hanging and banging with the managing editor of FantasyPoint.
points.com. Mr. Joe Dolan at FG underscore Dolan on Twitter. Again, we never call it X here.
We stick with the good branding. It was the dopiest move in the history of dopey moves.
But Joe, what's up, brother? How is your fantasy week going? You excited for week three?
I thought we were talking draft strategy five minutes ago. Now it's already week three.
Yeah. It honestly feels like it's going really fast right now, Drake, to be honest.
I mean, my week got off to a good start, in part.
In my longest running league, it's a 14-team keeper league that I have not won since 2008.
I had Debo Samuel last night.
Of course, my opponent started Matt Breedah and got a touchdown out of them.
But, yeah, I started Debo.
I had to start Danny Dimes against my wife in a league.
Oh, God.
I mean, I knew that was going to be a disaster.
but it was it was it was not pretty you know it was like it was like do i pick up danning dynes
or do i start baker i should start baker oh god it was it's brutal but now off to a good start
though drake um with with debo um i know john and brolly hit the thursday night special on their
on the morning show it was the elijah mitchell over the rushing yards prop so that was good
um and and i'm ready for another week i'm not only
were we talking draft strategy just like a week ago it feels like
buy weeks start in two weeks like a week and a half we have buy weeks coming up so like
that's like that's like the next phase of fantasy right where you got to start having
buy week fillings that's that's the next phase that's like the second part of the season
and that's about to come up yeah and that's where you know folks you've really got to be paying
attention to those bottom half of your rosters and
your bench matters and you should kind of be looking ahead is where can I go find some of these
players who might emerge and somebody who I could pick up off the waiver wire and it can get a
start out of. I love having playable depth. I call it Joe. And those are guys like Devante Parker.
Okay. Now, Devante Parker is never going to set the world on fire. But listen, in a half point
PPR last week, he got you like eight and a half points. And when biweeks hit and you could throw him,
he's the number one wide receiver on the Patriots. So if you can have guys like that, you know,
it's going to help you.
Guys like Kendry Miller.
Somebody dropped Kendry Miller in my weekly waiver run.
I scooped up.
I used a claim on them last night to get them on my roster.
So make sure you guys are rocking and roll them with that.
You know what we like to do here on the two-point stance in season.
It's kind of hitting on the hot topics of the week.
The big point from each game from a fantasy perspective.
And we go game by game, kind of alternating what each one of us want to see.
Joe, you're up first.
I gave you quite the barn burner Colts Ravens.
This is a game that may not feature superstar rookie Anthony Richardson, though.
Yeah, that's obviously the thing we're going to watch, Anthony Richardson's health.
I do not think the Colts are going to play them in this game.
You have to take the long-term approach with him, and Gardner Minchu's going to come in.
And that leads me to Gardner Minchu.
He might be a low A-DOT type of passer, but Michael Pitton's got 23 targets over the first two games of the season.
I don't think Marlon Humphrey is going to play in this game for the for the radio.
he's still working his way back from a foot injury.
Can Gardner Minchew get the ball to Michael Pittman eight times again?
He's had eight catches in each of the first two games of the season.
He was not a guy, Drake, that I was really particularly in on for fantasy.
I considered him as going in part of the wide receiver dead zone.
So far, he's proved me wrong.
Can he keep proving me wrong?
Yeah, he's a really good player.
and he's just getting peppered with targets.
Minshu is such a great backup.
I was sad to see him leave Philadelphia.
You look around the NFL at some of these franchises,
and you go like, how did some of these teams not make a better play?
You know, if you were the Jets, if you're the Dolphins,
you should have thrown some money at a guy like Gardner Minshu
because he can come in to win your games.
And, you know, this week he's got a good shot to for Indianapolis.
Yeah, I mean, like, how much better would we feel about Garrett Wilson
if Gardner Minchew was the Jets backup quarterback?
Oh, my God.
You'd start him with full conference.
and it's an, you know, we'll get to that game in a few minutes.
All right.
No doubt about it.
Titans Browns.
This is my first one.
And really, this to me is all about running back usage.
This is what I want to see on Jerome Ford Day, okay?
Nick Chubb, horrific injury.
We all know that nobody wants to see that replay.
It's Jerome Ford season.
Yes, they sign Kareem Hunt.
No, I don't care about it.
I don't think Kareem Hunt does a damn thing in this backfield.
There's a reason he was on the street, folks.
he played for this Browns team.
They did not want him.
And they can go out and say,
oh, he wanted X number of dollars and blah, blah, blah.
Teams look at the tape.
They know what's going on.
They just need a body here in Cleveland that knows the offense.
I'm in on Jerome Ford.
I had an interesting trait thrown at me, Jill.
Let me position this to you as, you know,
now being on Twitter,
I am, I guess, the carrier of the Sean Tucker torch,
as everyone comes at me saying I hate Rashad White.
I was offered a trade half PPR.
I give away Rashad White.
I get Jerome Ford.
I sat in my car for 10 minutes staring at my phone.
I didn't know what to do.
My wife just got proposed to trade like that yesterday.
And I don't want to take it so far off the rails here because we like how quick the game is,
how quick this particular podcast is.
It was, it's a, you just got offered a fair trade.
trade that was perplexing, right?
Yeah.
My wife got offered a very similar, fair but perplexing trade.
I want to see what you would have done in this situation and try not to have your bias cap on for this.
I will take it off.
She drafted Jamar Chase yesterday.
She was offered A.J. Brown straight up.
Yeah, I take A.J. Brown in that trade.
Just because you don't know what's going to happen with this, this cap of Joe Burr.
So I said I wouldn't do it just because I hate position for position fair trades because I don't,
when it's a fair trade like that, what I have to know as a fantasy football analyst or an analyst in any,
in any walk of life, right?
I have to know what I don't know.
And I have to be like, man, that's a coin flip for me.
So I was like, I was reticent.
I asked Brawley and I asked Hanson.
They both said take the deal.
So she did.
There you go.
I didn't take the trade.
I sat on it for a while.
The guy just pulled it down.
He canceled it.
So I didn't know if I would have done that.
But back to the game,
I love Jerome Ford.
I mean,
the role he's going to have is phenomenal.
Deshaun Watson doesn't look great back there throwing the football.
So he's going to be a top,
I'm going to say he's going to be a top 12 running back most weeks going forward.
The other name to know here being the,
that I'm most interested in RB usage is Tajay Spears.
Now, we've got a possible turf toe issue with the big dog, Derek Henry.
Tajay Spears averaging 6.9 yards of carry.
He owns that third down roll.
He's the passing down back.
This is a team that likely will be playing from behind.
Boy, if Tadier Spears gets in there and gets a full-time workload, Joe, my God.
He could break some slates.
Yeah, he's a guy who needs to be rostered in way more leagues.
his expected fantasy points per game are over nine right now.
He's producing at less than at basically half that rate.
But again, Derek Henry, maybe he's lost a step.
He's a little dinged up.
Absolutely somebody who needs to be rostered.
If you missed out on the Jerome Ford kind of windfall,
I would go see if Tai J. Spears is out on your way before.
Absolutely.
How about Falcons Lions talking about some more teams that want to pound
the rock, maybe without
Ramon Ross St. Brown. This
week, he's got a toe issue.
You know, the Lions,
that's a team when they're at home. It's fantasy
fireworks. What do you love in this one?
I think the Lions are going to air the ball out.
The Falcons were able to pressure Bryce Young
at an 8.54%
rate above expectation last week
per fantasy points data.
That was in week one, rather. But that was
understandable given that that was Young's first game
and the Panthers might have the worst and slowest
receiving group in the league. But they sack
Jordan loved just once last week, and they pressured him on only five dropbacks,
the fewest of any quarterback who played the entire game in week two.
I don't think this Falcons pass rush is very good.
I know the lions are going to be down Halipulavadi Vaitai.
The right guard.
I love how fast you spit that out, by the way.
Oh, yeah, Alipollahati Vita.
They're going to be down him.
He has a knee injury, but I think this is an opportunity for Jared Gough with no David Montgomery
to step back, throw the ball quite a bit.
I think we can see a lot of work for Jemir Gibbs in this one in the passing game.
And by the way, he had a lot of work last week.
He had nine targets.
I think the lines are going to throw the ball all over the field in this one, Drake.
And I do anticipate that I'm on Ross St. Brown will play.
Please, God, for my shares, I need that to happen.
Thanks at the Packers.
For me, this is all about the rookie showcase.
So Kendra Miller potentially getting a larger role.
Remember, he didn't have a great camp out of any, you know,
got an injury issue. He was a little out of shape in OTAs.
Listen, there's still no Elevin Kamara here. Tony Jones Jr.
He's kind of just a guy. So I want to see if they start ramping up Kendrae Miller,
another guy who should be on benches in your league.
And the other rookie I want to see is I want to see more Jaden Reed.
This guy was PPR wide receiver 12 last week. He's got a great matchup in the slot.
You know, if you go over to Fantasy Points data, use our tools. You can see that.
But he's not playing a ton of.
Joe. I mean, really, he's only playing in the slot. They don't run a lot of three wide sets as it is.
You know, we don't have Christian Watson yet. Who knows when he comes back? I want to see more of this kid.
Yeah, he's been really good. They have an extremely young group of receivers. Christian Watson did the weird thing.
And I think they did this last year. And I think the Lions did this stuff last year, too, where Watson practiced on Wednesday and then didn't practice on Thursday.
and it seems to be kind of a planned thing.
I wonder if he's going to be back,
and Aaron Jones is going to be back from those hamstring injuries.
I really want to see this Packer offense at full strength
because there's been a lot of promising work from Jordan Love so far.
Yeah, Jordan Love, by the way, is coming into week three, fantasy QB2.
So if you've got him.
Without Christian Watson, by the way.
Without Christian Watson.
So they're playing slow.
They're just kind of plodding down the field,
but he's putting up some points.
All right, Joe, over to you for Texans Jags.
How was this not a Thursday night game?
I thought that was preordained.
It must be.
So I want to see more from Nico Collins, who he won Brett Whitefield's game ball of the week,
who he seems to be developing into like a true number one for C.J. Stroud,
who, by the way, needs to be given a lot of credit.
This offensive line in Houston is abominable, and it's really not the fault of the Texans.
They've just had a ton of injuries up front.
I think Laramie Tunsell has a chance to play.
this week, which would help C.J. Stroud, but he's the only rookie quarterback in NFL
history to throw 80 passes in his first two games without an interception. So that's a really
hated him before the season. For fantasy, yeah, I did. I mean, like, and honestly, to be fair to,
I have to, I have to take a mini L here. Look, the guy, the kids played two games, like things
could happen. I thought he was very Jared Goughlike. I thought he was going to be somebody who,
if you protect him, he's going to throw a very elegant,
He's going to be accurate.
He can pick a defense apart.
And as soon as you get pressure on him, he falls apart.
I thought that's what he was at Ohio State.
I thought that's what he was going to be in the NFL.
That has not been the case so far, Drake.
So I want to see more of Nico Collins, who is going to draw a very interesting matchup.
The Jaguars have actually been using third-year corner Tyson Campbell as kind of a shadow guy.
So far, he shadowed Michael Pittman in week one on 22 routes.
He didn't match up with Sky Moore in week two.
My assumption is the Jaguars just chose not to shadow anybody in week two against the Chiefs.
But he goes into the slot as well.
And he's done a good job in coverage.
He's giving up just 0.83 yards per route run.
I think this is going to be a really interesting underrated matchup,
Tyson Campbell against Nico Collins.
If you're playing DFS, you want to pivot off Collins in the tough matchup there.
Tank Dell got 10 targets last week.
I picked him up in a couple of spots.
He's our guy, 7 for 70.
too and a score.
I think Dell could have a nice week out of the slot.
All right.
We're going to kick it back over here.
Broncos Dolphins.
Oof.
All right.
I mean, listen,
it's Tua against Russ.
I want to see what goes on in this backfield, though.
Can we get Javante Williams going?
Okay.
Per our offensive line,
defensive line metric at fantasy points data.
The Broncos have the second best rush match.
up heading into week three against Miami.
So I want to see Javante getting the rock.
I want to see them opening some holes for him.
I want to see him getting downhill.
He's still going to catch a ton of passes.
I think he's a guy who's people are maybe they're sleeping on.
I told people to trade for him a week or two ago.
He's just so talented.
And the scheme loves these kind of running backs.
You know he's going to get touches.
So we know what we're going to get from Miami.
Okay.
We'll see if Waddle even plays in this game.
but for the Broncos and yeah yeah i want to see javanti uh get going because i you can't leave it
all on ross to throw the ball no and ross has actually been all right by the way their
their offense has not been the problem for the for the broncos it's been their defense they're
30th in EPA on defense um remember this was almost a shutdown unit under edger o evero uh uh
i i always butcher that poor man's name you get halapoolewai
tie and you can't. I don't know. I don't know. Halapulavati bighti is in like Iambic panameter or something. It just rolls off the tongue. But last year, their defense was really what kept them in games. This year, the offense has not been the problem. Oh, by the way, Sean Peyton's still doing Sean Peyton bullshit on that team. You know, Brandon Johnson's got to get going and they got to get Lil Jordan Humphrey going. Meanwhile, Marvin Mims is running five routes and has 113 receiving yards. Can we get Marvin Mims a little more?
involved there, Shawnee. Yeah, yikes. All right, Joe, Chargers of Vikings, if you play any DFS this
weekend or listen to any DFS podcast, like the great ones that we put out here at fantasy points,
you got a feeling everyone's talking up this game. This is going to be the chalkiest of chalk.
Oh, yeah. And I mean, if you're a, if you're somebody who enters a lot of large field tournaments
and you want leverage on the, on the field, believe me, I'll leave, I'll leave, uh, the DFS
talk to Scott Graham and Jake, but, uh, fade it, baby, fade that game. You're going to have to
fade this game if you want leverage on the field because it's the only way you're going to be
able to get leverage on the field. This is the, the, in the old wrestling par, Lance, Drake,
a loser leaves town match. Um, like, no, seriously, these are two teams that wanted to compete
for the playoffs and are both oh and two. Wow, this is Rick Flair against Mr. Perfect on the second
episode of Monday Night Raw. You're going to see the entire, like, the entire, the entire
bag of tricks from both of these teams in this game. And the question I have is, and Joshua
Kelly, if he plays this week, and look, Joshua Kelly is probably going to be the lead back.
Austin Echo hasn't practiced yet this week. Can Joshua Kelly bounce back against the Vikings
run defense that got absolutely crucified by the Eagles last week? The Vikings were dropping,
you know, those two high shells against Jalen Hertz. Hey, we're going to take away the big play.
and then Brian Johnson was all of a sudden like, okay, fine, we'll paper cut you to death.
Will they do the same thing against Justin Herbert?
Will they want to take away the big plays from Mike Williams?
Will they want to take away the big play?
Keenan Allen's been making some big plays.
Will they want to take those big plays away?
And will they say, okay, you don't have Austin Eckler?
Let's see if Joshua Kelly can beat us in this game.
I wonder if that's what Brian Flores is going to do.
And can Joshua Kelly bounce back?
Remember, he had a brutal match up against the Titans last week.
Yeah, Vikings allowing the fourth most rushing yards.
That's per game, 166 per game.
They just got lit up for a buck 70 by our boy D'Andre Swift.
All right, Panthers at the Seahawks.
Looks like we're going to get the red rifle Andy Dalton to start.
It's funny, I put up a thing on Twitter.
You know, I do the defensive streamers article over at Fantasy Points,
and I said, hey, Seattle defense available in, I don't know,
60% of leagues, the amount of folks that came out of the woodwork to say,
what are you talking about? It's Andy Dalton. Andy Dalton is better than Bryce Young.
Have you ever seen Andy Dalton play?
Andy Dalton's 35 years old, takes a boatload of sacks, hasn't played much since last year.
Andy Dalton's going to get lit up like a Christmas tree here.
Like stop with that Andy Dalton is so great talk.
There's a reason that he's somebody's backup.
You know, he might be technically better than Bryce Young at this stage, but like does it matter?
They don't have a great receiving group.
No, that team stinks.
What I want to see in this game, though, is can Ken Walker be efficient?
Last week, he had two touchdowns.
He only had two and a half yards of carry, though.
17 for 43 on the ground.
That's terrible.
Now, the Panthers, their top eight in rush yards allowed on average.
I want to see Ken Walker have a Ken Walker type game, you know, give him the 17 carries,
but I want 17 for 95 in a touchdown.
Not 17 for 43.
So that's what I'm looking for in this one.
That's what you're going to get from Ken Walker, though.
Like he's going to have the games where he has 15 carries for 130 yards.
You just have to live with these kind of, not the comparison of Barry Sanders,
but you have to live with these kind of Barry Sanders up and downs with him.
Thank God he scored the touchdowns, though.
If he wasn't getting those, you'd be, you know, oh my God, what do I do?
I'm pulling my hair out.
I got to trade this guy.
Here's a fun one for you, Joe.
Bill's Commanders.
Who thought this was going to be interesting come week three?
Yeah.
The commanders have the second best quarterback pressure rate over expect.
in the NFL thus far.
That comes with a caveat, Drake.
The caveat is the teams that the commanders have played.
They played the Cardinals in week one,
and then they played the Broncos in week two.
And if you can't have a positive quarterback pressure rate against Russell Wilson,
you're doing something wrong.
By the way, the Raiders did not have one in week one.
And they were getting blown out.
They were down 18.
Yeah.
So the commanders, you've got to give them credit.
But the thing I really want to notice about this game,
Can James Cook get in the end zone ever?
He is Drake.
I mean, he has been one of the best running backs in the NFL thus far this year.
And that is not an exaggeration.
Last week he had 159 yards for scrimmage against the Raiders.
He's been excellent before contact.
He's been excellent after contact.
He's sixth best in the NFL in rushing yards before contact.
He's 11th best in rushing.
yards after contact for attempt this year. Here is the problem, though. He's played just four of the
Bill's 18 snaps inside the opponent's 10 yard line and just two of 11 snaps inside the five yard line.
He is not given any opportunity to score touchdowns and that is going to sap the upside for
James Cook because look, you get to a point where he has 150 some yards from scrimmage and he
doesn't even reach 20 fantasy points in the PPR. It's happening 7.2 yards per carry last week. That's
unbelievable. It reminds me sort of
what was it? Maybe
it was E.TN, but there was a, I think it was
an AET. It was a running back or he was very
good for a while, but you had to
pray that he scored and broke it from outside
the 20 because he was never going to score
in the red zone. They were given to like James
Robinson back in the day. So yeah,
that'll be a fun one. Looking
forward to Bill's commanders
as an NFC East fan. You know,
I want to see, you know, kind of where this
landscape is going here. You know, Cowboys just lost
digs. There's always a two-and-o team. There's always a
a no team where you're like, is this real?
It's always the Raiders.
Yeah, well, the Raiders are won, one.
But like, yeah, every year, it's like the Raiders are two and no.
Every year.
We don't, no one respects the Raiders.
The Raiders are going to win two games all year.
Like that, they got them out of the way in September.
Yeah, the commanders have had a pretty interesting schedule thus far.
This is a really good test for the commanders.
Looking forward to watching that one.
All right, Bears at the Chiefs.
Oh, boy.
Now, how do the Bears rebound?
from all this. What a week if you're following the news out of Hallis Hall. I mean, you've got
defensive coordinators resigning. There's rumors about FBI raids. You got Justin Fields coming out
and bashing the coaching staff and then having to walk it back after practice. So I want to see
how does Fields bounce back? How does Matt Iber Fluse get this team together after this crazy week?
And let Justin Fields be Justin Fields. I know this is like that old adage when you
you go play golf, you're just supposed to play.
You can't tinker on the golf course with your swing.
Every hole can't be, oh, I got to do this.
I got to get in the slot.
I got to watch my hip.
I got to turn.
You can't do it.
Let Justin Fields be Justin Fields.
Get the ball to DJ more.
And let's see a little more Rocheon Johnson, all right?
That's what I want to see.
Because the chiefs are probably going to boat race these guys.
But, I mean, if we have any hope for our bear shares this year, we got to start to see a turnaround,
Joe.
Here's what happens in, um,
these games or when a team is in the situation like the Chicago Bears are.
And I mentioned this on my morning show on YouTube this week, but here's what's going to happen.
You know, I know we're all, and we all get into this because we have to talk day by day, right?
In the NFL, you have to talk about the news of the day.
And I'm not even getting into the Alan Williams shit because I don't know about it.
And when the full story comes out, that's when we'll talk about it.
You're a sign and blame, you know, I say on Twitter, Justin Fields,
stinks. And believe me, I firmly believe Justin Field stinks. Like, let's, let's cut,
cut rate to the quick. Oh, you know, there's, look at the scheme. Look at this. And he can't
do that. And I say, you know what? You might be, you might be completely right. You can easily
look at the situation where Justin Fields has to go walk back his statement to the media,
all right, and say, look at how messy this organization is. You're 100% right. One hundred percent
right. Here's what happens in these situations. We're all here in the media and fans are
playing the blame game oh luke gets he's to blame matt eberfluse is to blame george how the ghost of
a george alice is to blame you know who the team's going to decide the team's going to decide everybody's
to blame and everybody's going to lose their job the coaches and justin fields and maybe the general
manager now i know the general manager didn't draft justin fields and normally that gives the general
manager some some um some leash here but when the organization is this messy the owners might just
decide to clean the whole goddamn thing up.
So that's the way I feel about this situation.
And it is going to take a turnaround of epic proportions for Justin Fields and Matt
Eberflucson out loser jobs.
Yeah.
When I saw that clip on Twitter of them kind of giving this weird hug on the field and waving
to reporters, I go, that's the same hug that they're going to give each other in March
when both of them are shown the door after the season because neither of those guys are
sticking around for the bears.
Cowboys Cardinals, Joe.
The Cowboys lose Trayvon Diggs, but my God, they've looked unreal.
It might not matter this week against the Cardinals,
but that's a big blow for a Dallas team with Super Bowl aspirations.
Look, I don't think any team is better equipped to handle the loss of a Pro Bowl corner
than the Dallas Cowboys.
But like, you look at the fact that I think since the start of last season,
no cornerback has had a lower passer rating when targeted than Trevon Dibbs.
That's a big loss for Dallas.
And you're right.
It's not going to matter so far.
It's not going to matter this week.
And Dallas, believe me, the schedule gets tougher.
But they've had a pretty freaking easy schedule thus far, playing the Giants.
And then, of course, the Zach Wilson Jets.
And it doesn't get any harder this week against the Cardinals.
But I do want to see what that defense is going to look like without Trayvon Dix.
It is a big loss.
There's no two ways about that.
Yeah, and Tony Pollard just looks like an absolute monster out there.
You know, just getting as many touches as they can handle giving him.
And, you know, you got C.D. Lamb lighting people up for 100 plus yards.
So things are looking well for the Dallas offense.
All right, Eagles Bucks, one of the Monday nighters, they've got a pair of them this week.
I got a buddy of mine texting.
He goes, enough of these two Monday night games.
He's, I can't split my time between the two.
I mean, at least, why don't they do it like they did back in the day where you have an early game at seven?
And then you have a West Coast game at 10.
I love that.
Even though I live on the East Coast and it sucks to stay up late, you know, what else do I have to do in the morning?
I'll stay up late and drink some beers.
So here's what I want to see, Joe.
And, you know, we're a couple old, you know, Eagles fans here.
Can the Eagles put together a complete game because their offense still looks broken?
I want to see A.J. Brown get it together.
And he did have a touchdown called back last week.
So he could have had a big game.
Everyone makes a big hullabaloo of his sideline blow up.
I want Dallas Goddard in vault.
I want Dallas Goddard to get in the end zone.
And what are we going to see from D'Andre Swift in this backfield for an encore?
Can he go for a buck 70 again?
I doubt it.
If Kenny Gainwell's back, now we got to see how this offense is, you know, really being split in the backfield.
So can Philly put together a complete game?
I'm sure you have thoughts.
Oh, look, I think I talked to my guy in the Eagles organization and he said,
that he felt a lot better about the Eagles offensive performance after rewatching the tape
because he thought they made really good adjustments in the second half.
And, you know, there's there was some bullshit in the Philly media where they're like,
oh, you know, the Eagles aren't paying Jalen Hertz $200 million to hand the ball off to DeAndre Swift.
They're paying him to win it with his arm.
And I'm like, that's ridiculous.
They're paying.
That is a ridiculous take.
Like, all right.
So in an ideal world, I don't even know if in an ideal world, I don't even know if in an ideal
world Jalen Hertz is throwing for $3.50 a game. You win the game that's in front of you.
Wasn't there the, what was it last year? They had one game where Hertz just went absolutely nuts
through the air and then the next week they put $350 on the Packers on the ground. Like,
when the game that presents itself, the Vikings did the same thing the Patriots did in week one,
okay? They were trying to take away the big, and the Eagles will make adjustments for that, by the way.
They will have, they will be able to to adjust to that now that they've seen it quite a bit on
The difference in week one was they were giving the ball to freaking Kenny Gainwell, who's slower than me.
So last week, they had D'Andre Swift involved.
Now, like, Drake, yes, Jalen Hertz will have big games this year through the air.
And he might have one this week because I think Nick Siriani is a notorious greasy,
grease the squeaky wheel type of guy.
And I think A.J. Brown is the squeaky wheel this week.
And I know, look, he came out and he said, like, it was a passionate conversation.
we're not beefing or anything like that.
But I think AJ Brown gets the ball a lot this week.
It's going to be interesting to see what happens here.
If Kenny Gainwell was dropped in any of your leagues, folks,
I'd be grabbing him and stashing him for sure
because Mr. Glass D'Andre Swift is proven he can never stay healthy.
So if Philadelphia gets going,
you want to trade for a candidate out there, boys and girls?
Everyone's playing this umbrella coverage against him so they don't beat him deep.
How do you win underneath?
Dallas Got her.
All right.
Let's see if we can get him going.
Final game on the docket.
Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, Drake.
You skipped the Sunday night game.
Did I miss?
I was going Rams Bengals here.
Yeah, the skip Stee's Raiders, the Sunday night game.
Oh, my apologies here.
Look at my list.
The Pittsburgh Steelers offense, this is an easy one, Drake.
The Pittsburgh Steelers' offense has been beyond broken.
They can't run it.
They can't throw it.
To be fair to Matt Canada.
And no Steeler fan in my life wants me to be fair to Matt.
Canada. They played the 49ers and the Browns, two of the best defenses in the NFL the first
two weeks. You know who is not one of the best defenses in the NFL? Oh, God, the Raiders.
This is an opportunity for the Steelers to get on the right track. And I will say this. Calvin
Austin, I know this for a fact, was running wide-ass open that entire game last week. The entire game,
in one catch. You sense in a theme here, by the way, because we always hear that about
Deontay Johnson, too. Kenny Pick has got to get them to football. The Steelers have to look
like an NFL offense in this game because the Raiders do not have a good defense. You want
some crazy stats. I was just looking this up before we went on the air from Fantasy Points data.
The Raiders give up far and away the highest completion percentage to quarterbacks,
81.7% completion percentage.
They give up, okay?
But so you think, oh, my God, they're getting killed and yes, they allow the second
most touchdowns also, but they're not getting beat deep.
They're just getting, as you like to say, you know, like death by a thousand cuts.
They're getting slaughtered underneath with slot receivers and in breaking routes and just
whatever the defense is giving them kind of thing, teams are taking them apart.
Guess who that helps.
Calvin Austin, maybe a little Alan Robinson,
Kenny Pickett, you know, whatever.
He's just going to keep running wind sprints.
But it wouldn't shock me at all if we see Calvin Austin
splash onto the scene.
If you're playing a little DFS on Sunday night with that game
and put him in the captain spot, see what happens.
Well, that's what you got to do.
You got to put a lower end player in the captain's spot.
And that's how you win the big pot.
There you go.
And then just like our friend did last week,
you can win a million dollars playing fantasy football DFS and thank us.
How about that, Joe?
Just talk for a second to the folks out there about one of our subscribers at fantasy
points won a million bucks last week playing DFS.
It was not me.
I wouldn't be talking to you right now if I won a million dollars.
Now, one of our subscribers, Russell, won a million dollars.
He's been a long time listener to Scott and really just he put together just a sharp lineup.
And it was one of those linesings were like you look at it.
and you're like, man, I was in on all those guys.
Yeah, but that's the thing.
You've got to put all the same guys in the same lineup.
He did a wonderful job.
It was excellent to have that.
It's been a great year for fantasy points.
And for that validation to come through with a million dollar subscriber,
really was just huge for us.
We were so excited.
And you can use code Guarific 25 to try to win a million dollars yourself.
No guarantees here.
But I can tell you that somebody using our information won a million dollars last week.
So Gurrific 25, Drake, that's in the number of $1,000.
the show notes, G-U-R-R-I-C-25. We probably should have done something different than that because
I'm getting so many customer service tickets of people who don't know how to spoke
horrific. And that's fair because it's not a real word. Yes, I totally get that. I gave that
to a friend this week. We also had the DFS optimizer. We've got, you know, Scott's doing a few
different podcasts out there that are very good for DFS. So make sure you guys are paying attention
to that and get over to FantasyPoint.com. All right. Now we can wrap it up here with
the second Monday nighter Rams and Bengals.
Who would have thought the Rams would enter this game as the fantasy juggernaut?
And the Bengals would limp in with possibly Jake Browning at quarterback.
Yeah, I mean, look, and the Bengals lost their backup quarterback because they had Will Greer on the,
their third string quarterback who could be the backup quarterback.
Will Greer was on the practice squad.
He just got signed to the Patriots active roster.
I love it.
Will Greer's going to the Patriots, and now the Bengals beat writers were like, oh, now what?
Guess who plays next week?
Patriots Bengals.
Unbelievable.
That's Bill Belichick for you, baby.
That's, yeah, that's, yeah, like when he signed Jalen Rager before the Eagles game.
Like, people are like, oh, he's getting inside Intel.
It's like, yeah, what's Jalen Rigger going to tell him?
This is the play where I dropped the 50-yarder.
This is the play where I dropped the 10-yarder.
This is the, so, no, the Bengals.
like if Joe Burrow plays in this game, and I'm really not sure he should,
can Jamar Chase get off the Schneide?
Like we were talking about that trade my wife made.
And I can't really disagree with it because Joe Burrow,
if he plays, is risking further damage rate now.
And he wasn't playing well anyway.
I mean, this is not the game you want because the Rams are kind of spry right now.
They looked excellent in week one.
I think Stafford looked good in week two,
but of course they were playing a more talented team in the 49ers.
Talk about loser leaves town.
The Bengals need a win.
The problem is, do they trust Jake Browning to get it,
or would they rather have hobbled Joe Burrow?
I am absolutely intrigued by what we're going to see on Monday night here.
Crazy prediction.
I love doing these things.
Joe Burrow reagravates.
This calf is going to bottom them all season long, folks.
It is.
He shuts it down.
at some point they're, you know, they're two and 12 and they shut it down.
Bengals get, you know, top three pick.
Marvin Harrison Jr. comes to Cincinnati and they let T. Higgins, you know, walk or
trade them or do whatever.
And they're just loaded again.
It's unbelievable.
I'm calling it right now.
But yeah, you've got Kyron Williams.
How about Kyra Williams?
I don't love the fact that we've had tragic injuries on each of the last two Monday nights.
And we have Joe Burrow going out there hobbled this week.
by the way. Don't love that. It's a dopey play. Do you think Puka and Kairn can keep it up?
Yes, I do. Me too. Me too.
Tyron Williams. I had a guy sniff around yesterday. He's like, hey, I want to trade
Kyron Williams for me? This is how I responded to him. I looked at my roster. I looked at
his roster. I go, I want Devante Adams plus. He goes, what? What do you? I go, this guy's
top five running back. Look at the usage. You guys, 70 carries layers, 70 snaps. It's unbelievable.
And we know what, you know, Sean McVeigh can do with a running back here.
Oh, I mean, he is so like, like, I don't know, like if, if Kyron,
the problem with these McVeigh running backs is, look, yeah, Williams looks like a league winner.
But if he runs the, like, if he runs in the wrong direction on a pass protection rep,
I mean, McVeigh could send him to the Nether Realm.
So, ugh.
They've got to bring, you think they got to bring somebody in.
You can't just run.
I don't know Ronnie Rivers is your backup here with Acres getting.
Oh, if I have come.
Tyron Williams. Yes, you can. Yeah, yeah. Just going with Ronnie Rivers as your backup.
Yeah, give me 30 touches a game from Karen Williams.
We don't need, you know, Lombardi Lenny rolling into town and stealing any goal line work at all.
So, well, folks, that'll put a bow on the quick week three preview here from the two points stance.
