The questions are flooding into the inbox. A lot of people can use Taysom Hill as a tight end this week. I just got asked, should I start Taysom Hill or Travis Kelsey, Taysom Hill or Mike Davis? We're going to tell you right now. Adam Azer, Dave Richard, Heath Cummings. Quick bonus pod here. So, Taysom Hill is the starting quarterback for the Saints this week. We just recorded a full podcast previewing that game, whatever.

You can ignore a lot of it. So, let's talk about the Saints and the Falcons. And Heath, I'll give you the first word. Let's just do quarterback rankings. Where is Taysom Hill going to end up? By the way, there was a report that Jameis Winston is really not going to play. I mean, that's the plan anyway, that it's Taysom Hill's game. So where is Taysom Hill going to end up in the projections and rankings?

Yeah, I think it's important to recognize where we're at right now. Friday, 11 o'clock in the morning, we get first off that Taysom Hill is getting all the starter snaps. And then 30 minutes later, we hear Taysom Hill is going to start. And then 30 minutes later, maybe 15, I don't know what the time frame has been, we get there will be no Jameis Winston packages for this game. Taysom Hill is the starting quarterback period. I expect

in the next 15 minutes, we're going to get a tweet says Sean Payton hates Jameis Winston's guts. Jameis Winston was beat up at practice today. They are doing everything they can. So I am running a projection as if Taysom Hill starting the game,

playing quarterback, finishing the game, playing quarterback, and Jameis Winston not playing. And that really makes Taysom Hill a high-end number two quarterback and maybe the number two tight end and number three at worst and a very, very good flex. What did you say, a quarterback? A quarterback, a high-end number two. Okay, so like top 15.

Like a top 15 quarterback. 14th is where I originally, like I have Derek Carr in several leagues. And Derek Carr is my number 15 quarterback right now. And I actually dropped Derek Carr for Taysom Hill in one league. And then the other leagues, I didn't have the guts to do it everywhere. But right in the Derek Carr range. Because it's a terrible Falcons defense.

And you have to assume he's going to run for 40 to 50 yards. It's almost like a poor man's Lamar Jackson's projection right now. Yeah, I'm good. I think I'm going to start him over Tua. I have that decision to make. I picked him up in five leagues. As soon as I saw the news, I think I'm going to start him over Tua.

Dave, by the way, Dave is, you know, he was in route. He's not with his equipment right now, so he's just using his laptop. So pardon that, but we did this in kind of a hurry. Dave, what do you think? Tua, do you think you're kind of high on him?

Or Taysom Hill? Or Tom Brady? What do you think? I'm going to go with Brady over Taysom Hill for now. I have two ahead of Taysom Hill, but I kind of get it. You know, Taysom Hill absolutely has the potential to run for a bunch of yards. I think we can kind of throw out whatever he can do as a receiver,

which he's done. He's dabbled in it. I mean, I guess we could say he's dabbled in just about everything. And that includes passing. He's only thrown 18 passes in his NFL career, only five passes this season. And despite the fact that he has a career 55.6 completion percentage, and in the past two seasons, he's had a bad throw on, I mean, basically he's had like three bad throws or two bad throws over his career, but he's had none this year and he's completed 80% of his passes, teeny tiny sample size, of course,

only five passes attempted. But my guess is that this is going to be like an experiment for Sean Payton and the Saints and they want to try and use him. I don't know if it's exactly like how the Ravens have used Lamar Jackson, but that same type of offense and typically quarterbacks that play as a, as a rusher, just as much as they pass her are very good for fantasy. So there's a lot to be said about him as, as, as a streamable quarterback. I think if you were streaming Jamis, you can easily pivot to taste some Hill if you can still get them off the waiver wire. If you play with Adam, I don't think you can do that.

And if you can start them at tight end, you absolutely should. And you should absolutely use him in DFS as well. On FanDuel, he's 4,800, and you can only use him as a tight end. And on DraftKings, you can only use him as a quarterback, but he's 4,500. It's pretty incredible. Yeah, I just don't know how I make a FanDuel lineup that doesn't have Taysom Hill as my tight end.

In fact, I had Taysom Hill as my tight end before this news because I figured he was just going to get some work, and he was so inexpensive. Let me give you these stats here for Travis Kelsey. If you want to compare him to Travis Kelsey, if you can play Hill at tight end, Kelsey is averaging about 18, depends where you look, 18 to 19 PPR fantasy points per game. He's crushing it. He's six points per game more than number two, Darren Waller,

not including George Kittle. But in a six point per passing touchdown league per game, he's QB 24. So I don't know how you start Kelsey over Taysom Hill in a six point

per passing touchdown league. Personally, like this is, but anyway, he's in four point per passing touchdown leagues per game. He's QB 13.

So he's a lot better there. Right. I don't think... Well, first off, like the sites where he's eligible at tight end, the factory setting there is four-point-per-pass touchdown leagues. So that's probably what you're looking at.

Also, with all the things I said at the very beginning about all the signals the Saints are sending, like this is fantastic sabotage for the Falcons game plan. And I, I do think there's like a 25% chance that Taysom Hill gets benched because he's as bad at quarterback as we think he is. Sure.

Well, I don't know that we think he is? Sure. Well, do we – We don't know how bad he is. I don't know that we think that. No, I said think. I don't think he's that bad. I don't know what to think of him as. Yeah, agreed. I have no idea what to think.

I think he's a runner. He's like 31 years old, and he's never been given a shot at being a starting quarterback in the NFL. I think we can infer some things. I'm 36 years old, and I could do four fantasy points against the Falcons. I'll take the under. It's 100 yards. I will take the under on you getting four fantasy points.

But I think if he's used in the way that he has been throughout his career, just at a higher rate, he can be productive for fantasy. I don't know about 20 points. All right, Kelsey. So Kelsey or Hill? I would start Kelsey. Yeah. What about in non-PPR?

If it was non-PPR and six points per pass touchdown, I would still start Kelsey. No, I would not do that. Because all you have to do is get like, like if you get 15 fantasy points from kelsey in that format that's a huge game that's a lousy game for a quarterback but all right we're talking about like again we're not taking random normal quarterback and putting them in this situation this is a completely unique animal that we have never really seen a 30-year-old NFL player who's never started a game and played a full game at quarterback.

Who is not a traditional quarterback. Are you telling me that you would start Travis Kelsey over Derek Carr? Because that's basically where you put him. I don't have the same level of confidence of what Derek Carr is going to do that I do Travis Kelsey. Travis Kelsey is a superstar. Most of the quarterbacks in that 15 to 20 range are high variance plays or low variance because they don't have any upside. All right. So what about like –

This is the case, Adam. This is the case to start Taysom Hill over just about anybody else at tight end. Well, what about Taysom Hill over Robbie Anderson and DJ Moore or Antonio Brown and, you know... Yes. For sure. Without a doubt. How about... How about this? We were just talking about Travis Kelsey,

so you need to say top 12 wide receivers now, because that's what Travis Kelsey is. Yeah, yeah. Versus number three receivers. How about Taysom Hill versus Michael Thomas? Oh, Taysom Hill versus Michael Thomas? Oh, Taysom Hill easily. Are you starting Michael Thomas still? No.

Heath is definitely the low guy on Michael Thomas, and I will join him as putting him outside of my top 20 receivers as soon as we're done with this podcast. Because if we're going to count on Taysom Hill being used the way that he has been, that doesn't mean he's going to throw a lot. Again, 18 pass attempts in three seasons. Yeah. Okay.
