Well, it's early in the process, but we've got some draft values to talk about the best and the worst right now on Fantasy Football Today Express.
So we're going to use a mock draft. We did 12 teams, full PPR, three wide receivers did this last week.
And we're going to look at some of the best and worst values.
So kick it off, Jamie.
What do you want to talk about?
I mean, you know, I'll start with some of the higher end guys.
So the first couple names that jumped out to me actually was a pick that you made in round three.
It was the end of round three.
and it was T. Higgins.
You know, I mean, you can argue that he's still a round two pick or, you know, early round three pick based on what he does when he's healthy and Joe Burrow is healthy.
And obviously that's been sort of few and far between over the course of both of their careers because of injuries.
But we know what T. Higgins is when he's right and he can easily be a top 12 wide receiver.
So I like this stretch of receivers in this mock draft.
And again, you can see the results on CBSports.com.
But starting with pick, so this would be 36, 30, 35.
37, 36, 35, 34, 33. So 33rd overall, Garrett Wilson, T. Higgins, A.J. Brown,
Lab McConkey. Like, those are all top 10 caliber wide receivers in my mind as we sit here today.
I don't have them ranked in the top 10, but I think they all could be, you can make cases than to be top 10 wide receivers.
Garrett Wilson last year in his first five or six games when he was healthy. That was with Justin Fields.
The majority of that was averaging over 19 PPR points per game. Again, T. Higgins, what he does.
AJ Brown had that stretch of games last year where he was over 19 PPS.
our points per game could still end up with a great team if he leaves Philadelphia.
But if he stays with the Eagles and Dallas Gauters gone, for example, you could be great.
Once again or continue to be great.
Do you want to phrase it that way?
And then Ladd-McConkie, I took him with the last pick of round three.
We know what he was as a rookie.
And now you're getting Mike McDaniel there, maybe with No Keenan Allen or hopefully with no Keenan Allen.
Like that could be a huge bounce back season for him.
Yeah, Higgins only played four games down the stretch with Joe Burrow because he missed two of them.
but he scored 27.2, 14.3, 9.9.9 and 18.7 PPR fantasy points in those four games.
So that's really exciting. He's touchdown dependent, but Joe Burrell throws a ton of touchdowns.
What's next?
Love this pick by another very smart drafter guy that you hate, Merron Berkson.
End of round four, Jalen Waddle.
You know, we don't know what's happening in Miami.
and Waddle reportedly after Tyree Kill, Bradley Chubb, Nick Westbrook Aquina and James Daniels, I believe, after the four of them were released earlier this week, there was a report that he said, I want to be next.
So we'll see if he stays in Miami if they could, you know, they may try and trade him to maximize capital and, you know, to really turn this franchise over.
But he stays with the Dolphins.
He's going to be the number one receiver, hopefully with a quarterback upgrade or at least somebody that's at the level of Tuotunga by Lowa and not necessarily to step back.
Waddle can easily be what he was in his first two seasons before Tyree Kill got there.
And that was a top 20-ish caliber wide receiver chance to be very special.
So love that pick at the end of round four.
He went right after Devante Smith.
So you can't take Devante Smith.
I don't think in the top 48 if A.J. Brown's still on the team.
But Goddard is not expected to be on the team.
So let's play that out.
A.J. Brown stays.
Devante Smith stays.
Dallas Goddard gone.
don't really add anyone of significance.
Maybe they take a rookie in the second or third round or something like that.
What would that, what would you think about Devante Smith going 47th overall?
I'd like it.
You know, he's, uh, he's proven that when there's somebody missing, he's great.
When they're both guys missing, he's amazing.
And so I think what we see potentially, you know, we're going to have an older
Seekuaan Barkley coming off a downseason.
We have an offensive line that may not be able to run block as well.
And we may see a defense that could continue to lose some parts as well.
So we might see a more past friendly Philadelphia offense.
And again, new coordinator there.
So hopefully that leads to a few more opportunities for DeMonte Smith.
That's the right range for him.
I mean, he always has the potential to be great.
And obviously, if A.J. Brown and Dallas Goddard are gone.
We're talking about a guy that might be going in the first three rounds.
Yeah, I just wanted to get the numbers.
Because I was wrong with what I said.
And I said you can't take him in the top four rounds if A.J. Brown's there.
But if Goddard, if Brown stays and Goddard is gone, you know, going into last year,
Did you got her miss any games last year?
Gotter missed a few, yes.
I did.
Okay.
Well, going into last year, Devante Smith was great when Goddard was out and AJ Brown was in.
So, yeah, it makes a difference.
It has made a difference in the past.
All right, we'll take a break and give you some more values worth knowing good or bad from our latest draft.
We'll be right back.
All right, Jamie, let's continue on here.
Any other values jump out?
Yeah, again, seems like I like what.
you, Heath, and myself did in another round, round six, and around five, excuse me,
another stretch of wide receivers.
You took Cortland Sutton with the 10th pick around five.
Heath took Terry McLaurin with the 11th pick, and I took Marvin Harrison, Jr. with
the 12th pick.
I didn't really counter Dave's argument about breaking up with Marvin Harrison because I don't
really believe in it.
I think Harrison, even if Michael Wilson stays, depending on who the quarterback is, that's
a big part of this, I think Harrison is going to be a very featured part of this team.
I don't think that because as a regime change,
they're going to necessarily have to try and prop him up
like Dave was arguing that this regime doesn't have the same,
you know, value for Harrison.
I think he's going to be pretty good.
You know, and I really wish we could have seen him
with Jacoby Brissette for a full season because we,
or for that stretch of games,
because not that he may have produced as well as Michael Wilson did,
but I think what we saw from a target perspective when he was healthy,
you mentioned the half against Tampa Bay.
We saw the two games right after the initial heel injury.
Like he was doing what,
everybody was hoping he was going to do, which was being featured, scoring touchdowns,
getting those opportunities.
I think that's all he needs.
So quarterback, same, meaning reset, no Kyler.
I think Marvin Harrison could be special.
I think Terry McCorn back, no contract issue.
Right now, nobody else in terms of competition from receiver standpoint.
And while Cortland Sutton did not deliver on what the expectations were last year,
he's still a very good fantasy wide receiver, a very good number two fantasy wide receiver.
I just have to think, I think everybody just needs to put his in perspective about who he is
and what he's still capable of doing.
I want to talk about one more wide receiver that I think is good value, and it was Romo Dunesay,
who went to Morone, who I like very much, admire him.
First pick of round seven.
Luther Burden went two rounds ahead of Romo Dunezay.
Look, Odunzee got off to a great start.
Then he got hurt.
He played hurt.
He came back and, you know, Colson Loveland kind of took over that receiving core.
But I don't think Colson Lovelin's going to dominate targets the way he did down the stretch.
And I think when you look at wide receiver, just based on last year,
Now, obviously, 2026 can be different than 2025,
but there weren't that many good wide receivers.
There weren't that many reliable wide receivers.
So at this point in the draft, first pick around seven,
I don't mind taking a shot at O'Donze,
who probably won't have the targets we want or the catch as we want,
but he might have the yards and he might have the touchdown.
So he's been a guy that Caleb Williams has looked at in the end zone.
And honestly, the guy was a top 10 pick two years ago.
I don't want to hear, like, is Luther Burden better than Roma Dunez?
I don't know.
They both might be great.
Is Colson Loveland better than Romo Dunez?
They've drafted great players.
Romano Duon Zay might be really awesome.
And he was having this second year breakout before his injury.
So I really like that pick,
especially if you can get him two rounds after Luther Burden.
And I think three rounds after Colson Loveland.
I definitely agree with your sentiment on the round and the potential.
What he is,
the only thing I just would put in perspective is most of his production came
while Loveland was still working through that shoulder injury.
So who knows how good he would have been if Loveland was that coachman.
Yeah, absolutely.
All right, that's going to do it for some of our favorite early values here.
And we'll, of course, do some more mock drafts as we have free agency and the NFL draft and all that and things will change.
For Jamie, I'm Adam.
We'll talk to you next time on fantasy football today.
