Good morning and happy week one, everybody.
Is Boston Scott going to win you a fantasy week?
Is Mike Evans going to lose you a fantasy week
if he, in fact, plays in week one?
We'll talk about that right now
on Fantasy Football Today in five.
Welcome, everybody.
Today is September 13th, a day we've all been waiting for.

I'm Adam Azer, joined by Heath Cummings, who is definitely more of a morning person than I am.
Good morning, Heath. It's finally here, week one.
Super duper excited. You know, I was downstairs getting my coffee, come up to do the pod.
My wife says, have fun. I thought, you know, I'm going to. We're going to have some fun today.
We are. And Boston Scott could be very fun to start. pod my wife says have fun i thought you know i'm going to we're going to have some fun today we are
and boss and scott could be very fun to start okay where did you end up with scott in your rankings
i've moved him around quite a bit in the last 24 hours right now i have him number 21 and non-ppr
number 16 and full ppr i think we're gonna see the doug peterson special where this is a committee
type backfield with him and cory clement c. Corey Clement's a borderline top 36 running back for me in both formats as
well.
But I would expect Scott to handle a majority of the pass catching a
majority of the short yardage.
He was very good in both roles last year.
This was a guy averaging 20 fantasy points per game in his final four games
last year.
And Miles Sanders only missed one of those.
So you should start Boston Scott with confidence.
Would you start Boston Scott or Melvin melvin gordon uh boston scott both formats todd girley or boston scott i will go with girley amari cooper tough matchup or boston scott i am
not like jamie would tell you boston scott i will tell you amari cooper i'm not i'm not scared by
the matchup okay how about Devontae Parker?
Tough matchup, or Boston Scott?
Definitely Boston Scott.
How about Devontae Parker or
Corey Clement?
I would still go with Parker
in that situation.
Would you start Clement over
Antonio Gibson, DeAndre Swift, Cam Akers?
I would start Clement
over DeAndre Swift
and Cam Akers, not
Antonio Gibson. Alright, Mike Evans.
Tough matchup. Well,
he didn't do very well against the Saints last year
and according to Ian Rappaport, he's likely
to play, but might be on a pitch
count. Zero catches in
one game against the Saints. Four for 69
in one game against the Saints. Start or sit
Mike Evans?
You're hoping that you're not starting him,
is the way I'm handling it.
It's a very difficult matchup with Marshawn Lattimore,
and there's a lot of reason to think
that Evans might just be a decoy
or might just be used on a pitch count.
It's impossible to rank him as well as Cortland Sutton. I've put him right
around 32 or 33. Um, I would prefer to sit him. Cortland Sutton, same thing could be a game time
decision. Is there someone that you might pivot to on Monday night? If you do want to play that game?
I mean, listen, there's a couple of different ways you can handle this in a deeper league.
What I would probably do is just go get Tim Patrick
because he's available everywhere,
and he's going to play a full complement of snaps
and probably see seven or eight targets if Cortland Sutton doesn't play.
We've seen Tim Patrick be serviceable in that role before,
so I think that's the easiest move.
But again, the Cortland Sutton thing is even more difficult than Mike Evans
because you either have to use a roster spot on someone like Tim Patrick or
possibly chase Claypool or James Washington,
or you've got to just risk it and you can't risk it.
So I,
again,
I I'm hopeful that I can just find somebody that I feel okay about to start
in Sutton's place.
Any concerns about starting players in the Arizona San Francisco game?
They're dealing with the bad air quality.
We don't know when the game is going to be played.
Are you concerned about that?
I think as we sit here at 8.05 Eastern on Sunday morning,
they are expecting to play the game.
It sounds like the news stations out in San Francisco,
the current air levels are below where it would have to be.
The forecast calls for it to remain below what would cancel a game
so i don't actually have any concerns about that right now but that i mean i i'm also no expert on
forest fires or air quality and so i would tell people to stay attuned to the news all right fair
enough and let's do some starter sits and end our show. Tom Brady or Derek Carr?
I'm going with Derek Carr.
I'm getting really close to having a lot of Derek Carr in DFS this week.
I think that game's a shootout more so than Tampa Bay, New Orleans.
Kyler Murray or Ben Roethlisberger?
I will start Ben Roethlisberger in leagues that count six points per pass touchdown,
Murray in four.
Marlon Mack or Nick Chubb?
I'm still going to go with Nick Chubb over Marlon Mack.
Jonathan Taylor or Kareem Hunt?
I will start Kareem Hunt in both formats over Jonathan Taylor.
Deontay Johnson or A.J. Green?
It's A.J. Green for me.
Marquise Brown or Henry Ruggs?
It's Marquise Brown, but I'm very excited about both.
John Newsmith or Blake Jarwin?
Blake Jarwin, for sure.
He's a top 10 tight end for me.
Jack Doyle or Rob Gronkowski?
I'm still going to go with Gronk. I got a little excited about Gronk and Howard when we thought Evans was going to be out.
I've pulled back on that, but I would take Gronk over Doyle.
Thanks a lot for listening, everybody.
