Terms and conditions apply. Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath.
Oh, we got a fun fantasy football today for you on Wednesday. It's a fantasy football today presented by Bet MGM on Jamie Eisenberg.
That's Steve Cummings, that's Dave Richard.
As you can see, Adam Mazer is on his way to Philadelphia to celebrate the Super Bowl parade.
So take a look for him on Friday.
He'll be out there in his favorite green jersey,
celebrating his new favorite team. So this is our first show officially following the Super Bowl.
We did a post Super Bowl wrap up, but we didn't have Dave here. We did not obviously have Heath
here. He was, I'm sure avoiding us like the plague. But gentlemen, what were your thoughts on the
Super Bowl? Because Adam and I have already shared our sentiments on the game and everything
that unfolded.
Keith, I'll let you collect your thoughts.
So Dave, when you watch that unfold, Eagles obviously dominating that performance.
What were your takeaways football wise and fantasy wise?
I don't know if anybody really cares what I have to say.
I think they want to hear from the Chiefs fan, but I, uh, I was pretty upset
that everything that I thought that was going to happen in the game absolutely did not happen
in the game.
Jalen hurts was awesome and very much Superbowl 55 vibes with the chiefs offensive line completely
not stepping up to the moment and the Eagles defense being great all game long, getting
pressure, everybody read about it, there's no blitz.
I started thinking about it after the game and I posted something on X about it.
They've got a nucleus of players that are all like 26 and younger that they can just,
they'll be able to keep most of them long term.
Some of them are already on extensions anyway.
They've got a shot to build something
really great in Philadelphia.
Not saying that they're gonna be my Super Bowl pick
next year, but they've really set themselves
on a course to be very competitive for a long time.
So I-
Are you jumping Heath, hold on.
Any fantasy takeaways, Dave, for the Chiefs or Eagles?
From the game itself, I mean- I mean, Xavier Worthy, big game. We'll talk about him during
our draft. Yeah, right. Like I'll wait to talk about Worthy because he went super high in our
draft. You're going to see the Chiefs have a new running back next year. I'm pretty confident in
that. And they'll definitely address the offensive line and Philadelphia, you know, maybe they draft
a tight end to eventually take over for Goddard. but I'm telling you, they've got a crew in
place right now that they can feel really, really good about.
All right.
Mr.
Chief, take it away.
I don't know how much of what I said yesterday on FFT dynasty.
I should just repeat, but I know the audience is bigger here.
So I think I can repeat most of it.
Um, I, I thought it was a fantastic redemption story for some of the most
underrated stars in the NFL.
Jalen hurts has continually produced and won like an elite quarterback.
And everybody has doubted whether he's an elite quarterback.
Now he's got the ring.
Now he's the guy who beat my homes and slayed the dragon in the playoffs.
Jalen hurts is an elite quarterback.
Nick Sirianni has been talked about multiple seasons about getting fired in the middle
of the year and he's at the highest winning percentage in the regular season of any active
coach and has now been to two Super Bowls already.
Nick Sirianni is a great head coach.
Vic Fangio, I know that he kind of wanted to leave so he could be closer to his family, but
he technically got fired from the Dolphins last year.
Vic Fangio may join SPAGS as the coordinator in the hall of fame tier,
just a masterful job by him.
Um, obviously Saquon Barkley, fantastic for him to get his ring after all those
terrible years wandering in New
York. I just thought the Eagles, honestly, one of the greatest Super Bowl performances that I can
remember. They were elite across the board. The defense smothered Mahomes, never gave him a chance,
destroyed the offensive line. Jalen Hurts, the second time, and Dan mentioned this on the show,
second time that he's played in the Super Bowl and played the best game of his season.
Like you talk about stepping up in a big moment, he was incredible against the Chiefs
in the first time they met in the Super Bowl and maybe even better in this one.
Best two rushing performances by a quarterback in Super Bowl history, 72 yards in this game,
71 yards I believe in the first game.
So he's been pretty consistent in his Super Bowl appearances.
As Dave alluded to, they may be visiting the Super Bowl many times in the near future or
maybe for the significant future based on how Howie Roseman built that team for Philadelphia.
So I'm sure we'll see the Chiefs there again.
I'm sure we'll see the Eagles there in contention again.
40 to 22, the Super Bowl victory for the
Philadelphia Eagles and we'll talk about some of these guys throughout the course of
Today's show because we will be reviewing our first post Super Bowl PPR mock draft
It was a 12 team mock draft that the three of us Thomas Schaefer Adam Hazer participated in we also had a couple of
guests joining us Matt Donnelly of the Don is dynasty Vipers and
Joey Wright of Football Guys.
So you see on our programs in our drafts before they draft with Heath quite a bit, Joey drafts
with us quite a bit, Joey I'm sure will jump on the stream at some point maybe today as
well.
Maybe we can bring him in if he's on the stream also and we'll get through some of these picks.
Let's go through a few rounds here early.
You'll see the draft board on YouTube.
You can see the full results of the draft on CBSsports.com for those of you that are just our listening audience. And we'll start at the top here. So no surprise with the first two picks.
So Jamar Chase goes number one overall to Dan Schneier, Dejan Robinson for me at number two
overall. And then Heath, you surprised me a little bit by taking Citi Lamb at number three. We know
they have a new coach coming in with Brian
Schottenheimer taking over for Mike McCarthy.
So why CD Lam at three over say, Kwan-Pow, Dustin Jefferson, Pukin
Nakua, some of the other receivers there as well.
You know, this is probably a good time to mention that the week leading up to the
Super Bowl, I built my way to early 2025 projections and this week they are coming out on the site
quarterback and running back already out there at CBS sports.com wide receiver coming today
tight end coming tomorrow.
And CD lamb came out as number wide receiver to in my projections.
And I honestly the reason is because I'm still scared of Saquon Barkley.
I probably would have taken him at four.
I definitely would take him by five, but I just, I think Chase, Bijon and Lamb are the
three guys that I'm going to take ahead of Barkley.
I don't really care what the final numbers say for CD Lamb last year.
He was playing without Dak Prescott.
He was playing through a really significant injury.
I expect he's going
to be fully healthy next year. Dak's going to be fully healthy next year and Lam will
be one of the top two wide receivers in fantasy.
I mean, look, it makes a lot of sense and we'll see how the rest of the off season looks
like for Dallas, what they do at running back. Obviously number two receivers needs to be
addressed as well. An offensive line is something that they need to prioritize also, but look,
C.D. Lam was in the conversation to be the number one overall pick this
past season.
Certainly number one receiver.
He was up there with Tyree Kill, just think about where we were a year ago.
But Tyree Kill, CD Lamb were the guys who were debating number one.
And in this draft, he goes as the number two receiver,
CD Lamb does number three overall.
So Barclay comes in at number four.
AJ Brown at number five, ahead of Justin Jefferson and Pukin Nakua. So this may be a little bit of a Super Bowl bias.
I'm not exactly sure. Dave, you were picking at number eight. So I was number
two, Heath was number three, Dave was number eight. When you saw AJ Brown, because I
don't think you have Brown ahead of Jefferson Nakua or Gibbs, that had to
make you a little bit excited to see that. And then just talk about Brown going
fifth overall. So it's definitely too early. And'm a big fan of A.J. Brown. He's super talented, averaged almost 17 PPR points per game
in 2024, seven and a half targets per game.
I'm not saying that A.J. Brown's a bad player for fantasy.
I just think that there's other players that have more upside. And so taking A.J. Brown this soon when
so many other wider, I mean you can look at our screen right now
and you mentioned Justin Jefferson was on the board.
Nakua, it's just way too soon.
I can't justify that, especially knowing
that Montesmith is still gonna be around,
Saquon is still gonna be around.
This team will still run the ball as much as they, uh, can afford to
over the course of a game.
I think AJ Brown's good.
Honestly, by the time we get to August, he might be going a full 15 picks later.
He's not a first rounder, uh, at this point.
A little bit too soon again, ahead of Jefferson ahead in the Cua.
I don't think anybody is going to necessarily sign off on that on this show, right?
Heath, you don't have AJ Brown projected ahead of those guys, do you?
No, I'm not sure.
I'll be quite as low.
I think it's possible that 10, 11, 12 range, he might sneak into the first round for me,
but he's definitely not ahead of Jefferson, Nakua.
Okay.
So a little bit too soon there on AJ Brown.
I'm pretty sure I can get at least six other wide receivers
I would take out of AJ Brown right now.
Okay, he'll be around to pick for me,
but certainly should not go number five overall.
So Jefferson goes at six, Nakua goes at seven,
Dave takes Jameer Gibbs at eight,
Devon Achan at nine,
and then we got another somewhat controversial pick.
I think Nico Collins goes at 10.
So Thomas Thomas you took
Nico at 10 ahead of Amon Ra St. Brown and Derrick Henry and Christian McCaffrey who ended up taking
in round two why Nico over St. Brown? Obviously it was between Amon Ra and Nico I just think we
haven't seen the best of Nico Collins yet we may have seen the best of Amon Ra two seasons ago
Collins yet. We may have seen the best of Amon Ra two seasons ago. And now that they have is fighting going to be fighting with competition with Jameson Williams and Jameer
Gibbs, Montgomery will be back. It's more like of a volume play where I think Nico will
get peppered more with less competition. I think they'll add obviously somebody in the offseason. They don't
bring back digs and you know, Tinkdales hurt. So it's more of guessing that Stroud will bounce
back and Nico will have an incredible season because the last six games he was so good.
Multiple hundred yard games and he just looked so good. So kind of betting on him.
It's not a bad call. I mean, look, Nico obviously has been, he was great two years ago
in his breakout season. He had some struggles with the hamstring injury
and the concussion in 2024. And then St. Brown, you know, just sort of the model of consistency,
but we did see him take a little bit of a step back in 2024 and now has new coordinator in Detroit.
So that could be an impact as well. So we'll see how things go there. Derek Henry comes
in at number 12 and then we get into round two. So just to recap round one, Jamar Chase,
first overall, Bijon Robinson, C.D. Lamb, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown. That's our top
five. Justin Jefferson, Pukun Dukua, Jameer Gibbs, Devon Aitchand,
Nico Collins, Amara St. Brown, and Derek Henry at number 12. To our buddy Joey Wright. Let's get into
round two. So Joey kicks things off with Brian Thomas Jr. followed by Malik Neighbors. Keith,
when you look at the two rookie wide receivers from 2024, is that the order you have them in from your
projections or should Neighbors be taken ahead of Brian Thomas? I've got as of right now, neighbors, just a little bit ahead of Brian Thomas.
The giants could be dumb enough at quarterback to make me change that this
off season, but for now I'm accepting, expecting some sort of upgrade at the
quarterback position for Malik neighbors.
And actually in the projections, I have both those guys ahead of
Nico and Amon Ross St.
Brown.
So I think these were like getting these guys in round two
makes me feel pretty fantastic. They are my number six and seven wide receivers in the projections.
And Thomas, I want to bring you back in here because just from a strategy standpoint. So
you're looking at the board right now, you get to pick number 10, you see Nico, you see St.
Brown, you see neighbors, you see Thomas, you see you have the opportunity to take one or two of
those guys potentially. And then you're also looking at Derek Henry and Christian McCaffrey still on the board.
Is that how you sort of played it?
Like, okay, I'm going to take the receiver first and see if a running back falls to me.
Maybe I get one of the other receivers coming to me.
How did you approach that?
Because then you end up taking Christian McCaffrey with the third pick in the second round.
So I was actually hoping Brian Thomas Jr. or Malik neighbors would fall and I was going
to go receiver, receiver.
That didn't happen. And then I was scrolling
and I almost considered Jonathan Taylor
and then I was like,
wait, I think McCaffrey is still on the board too.
And then I was like,
I wanted to take,
I was gonna, it was between Jonathan Taylor
and Christian McCaffrey.
And I was like,
I don't think McCaffrey's gonna last that long,
because at this point, I thought Azer would probably snag him.
So that's kind of what I...
And I was like, I drafted Adrian Peterson way back in the day in 2012,
off coming off his injury.
So it's also like buying low on the talent.
So I'm more risk-avert when it's early round two
where this guy is really a legendary player.
It's worth the gamble.
So it's, that's kind of how I looked at it.
And I think we, you know, we had this conversation
that McCalfree could actually sneak back into round one
if he has a good off season, everybody's positive about him
and he looks like he's going to be healthy again.
So it could be one of the biggest deals of the draft,
even at the third pick in the second round.
After that,
we probably have the first major controversy of the draft in terms of pick selection.
So Xavier Worthy coming off the huge Super Bowl performance,
they catch is 157 yards and two scores.
Dave, when you saw Xavier Worthy go right in front of you,
were you anticipating that?
He went ahead of Rashi Rice,
who I took at the back end of round two.
Talk about Xavier Worthy with the fourth pick in second.
I thought it was pretty wild.
And I was thrilled because I was worried
that Drake London wasn't gonna make it back to me.
And that's kind of who I was targeting.
There were a lot of receivers that I liked,
which is why I took Gibbs in
round one, not to mention the fact that Gibbs is really freaking good. But listen, speaking of really good, Xavier
Worthy finished the season, if you include the playoffs, his final six games, 21.6 PPR points per game on 8.7 t That average would have b
other wide receiver other
I think he can do it next
Rashid rice coming back,
coming clearly to the Can
and make them a stronger
think the foundation is s
so much of his work toward the end of the season were these short
area throws and his ability to get yards after catch and, and to make some good plays and to be used in the red zone.
And then in the Super Bowl, we all saw he was catching deep balls when they were desperate to put up points late, and he
was running past two defenders to do it. So he's evolving. And this December, January, February for him, man, it really opened my eyes to just
how good of a player he can be. Round two is egregious. By the
time we get to August, I'm not sure if late round three will be
egregious for Xavier worthy either. We'll see what happens
this off season. But he's going to be somebody that I don't mind
taking the chance on. Will it be in round three? Cause it's not going to be in round two.
Could it be in round three?
Maybe I think around four is probably the better chance to take that gamble on
Xavier worthy, but I'm probably going to have them in my top 24 among wide
receivers when my rankings open up.
I think that the big thing is, well, it's two big things.
Rashi Rice's knee, Rashi Rice's suspension.
Because yeah, if, if he's
healthy and playing 10 plus games for the chiefs next year, then this is way too
high for Xavier worthy probably.
I think we still have a lot of questions because were these last six games and
you could even look at seven, it wasn't quite as good.
That's when he started playing 80% of the snaps.
Um, look, not that dissimilar from what rice did at the end of last year.
And so I, what, what type of player is rice coming back from this
pretty unique knee injury?
It's not an ACL.
It was a PCL.
Um, and then how many games is he going to have
to miss? I think the bigger thing is like he has to get 100% healthy before that suspension
can kick in. So we need to get him. What if there is a suspension? I am, I'm assuming
there's going to be some sort of a suspension. There definitely might be. Excuse my dog.
So, Worthy goes in the, again, the fourth pick of the second round.
Dave takes Drake London with the fifth pick of the second round.
And then we get to Tyree Kill in round two.
And we're going to do a show probably either tomorrow or next week
on players that we're trying to avoid or do not draft.
And Heath, you have Tyree Kill on your list as a do not draft guy.
So, surprised to see Tyree Kill still going round two.
Yeah. And that's one of the reasons, like I think it's, it's, it's, it's almost torture
to try to put together a do not draft list right now when we have really no idea what
ADP is going to be. But this kind of, this draft kind of helped with that process. And
the fact that Tyree Kill went in round two, I, I said this going into last year, I've
said it a lot of times before, when you have a 30 year old wide receiver
that shows significant signs of decline.
I think you should generally believe that guy.
Now I'm expecting a bounce back because we've gotten the excuse
that the wrist was injured.
And now it sounds like he's making up with the dolphins, but we don't know
for sure that Mike McDaniels is going to do what I think they should do and go
back to the downfield explosive offense. If they keep this short area offense, Tyree Kill can't be as good
as he was his first two years in Miami, I don't think. So yeah, if he falls to round three,
then I'd start considering him, but at round two cost, there is no chance. And there's so much risk
chance and there's so much risk that the career loaves across the board in virtually all categories were just a sign of the beginning of the end.
And we get this, we talked do not draft list. We're obviously going to, like he said, falls
around three. It's not a void list. It's just a do not draft that costs.
Right.
When we talk about that for the show.
So then Brock Bowers comes off the board to Adam Azer, Kyron Williams after that, then
Josh Jacobs, then Trey McBride to Heath.
I take Rashi Rice at the second to last pick of round two and Jonathan Taylor to wrap up
round two.
So again, let's give you round two here.
Brian Thomas Jr., Malik Neighbors, Christian McCaffrey, Xavier Worthy, Drake London, Tyree
Kill, Brock Bowers, Kieron Williams, Josh Jacobs,
Trey McBride, Rashi Rice, and Jonathan Taylor.

of our 2025 post Super Bowl mock draft. All right, let's get into round 3 here of our first 12-team PPR mock draft following the
Super Bowl here.
And kicking off round 3 is Breece Hall, Bucky Irving, Lad McConkie, T Higgins, Mike Evans,
and Chase Brown.
Dave, when you look at the three running backs in the first six picks of round 3, that's
pretty good value for some of these guys here in terms of Hall, who was the second overall pick last year. Irving, who had a great rookie season, who
you know, we'll see what happens with a new coach there. Liam Cohen now, excuse me, new coordinator,
Liam Cohen now gone for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chase Brown, who hopefully will not get too
much competition for the Cincinnati Bengals. What do you think about those three guys?
I love the value for all three of them. I think all three of them are top 12 fantasy running backs.
I think all three of them have potential to finish
as top five fantasy running backs as long as
health and opportunities aren't taken away from them.
In the case of Breece Hall,
I'm going to make the bull case for him.
He had 10 games where he had at least 15 touches.
He averaged 19.3 PPR points per game in those 10.
We've got a sour taste in our mouths after how the jet season went last year.
And there's still a lot of questions that have to be answered in New York, but
West coast offense incoming should be a lot more stable.
I don't know what the passing game is really going to look like.
If it's Kirk Cousins, that's not great, obviously, But I kind of want to give the benefit of the doubt to Breece Hall.
And I could see him becoming one of my favorite third round picks.
I could also see chase Brown and Bucky Irving getting picked ahead of Breece
Hall because people are sick and tired of Breece Hall not coming through to a huge
degree. Yeah, he did, uh, for parts of 2023, but he's never been better than 17 PPR points per game. And this past year,
he was 15.1, because those games where he didn't have 10 touches, he was a total disappointment. Chase Brown, you
said it, Jamie, he's got to continue to see a majority of work in Cincinnati. I'm, I'm a little nervous about that
happening because of all the depth that we have at running back in this draft class. It's going to be really easy for NFL teams to justify adding another running back in the draft who's going to be good and
won't come at a huge value. They're taking value into consideration in their drafts, just like we will in our fantasy
drafts. And same thing with Bucky Irving. I'm pretty sure he's going to share with somebody. I'm hoping that it's
Rashad White. So then we can see a lot more of what we saw from Bucky Irving to end
last season when he averaged 16.9 PPR points per game from week six on. Love the value for all three. If I had to
rank them right now, it's Brees first, it's Chase Brown second, and it's Bucky Irving third.
You mentioned Kirk Cousins potentially as the quarterback for the Jets. Heath, we got the report on Super Bowl Sunday from Jay Glazer that Jets most likely moving on from Aaron Rodgers. And I sort of made
the joke with Adam that it's kind of funny that their new front office member, I don't
know exactly what Rick Spielman's title is, but Rick spent many years as a general manager
of the Minnesota Vikings. So he gets a chance to fire Aaron Rodgers and then maybe get Kirk
Cousins another payday for the Jets. So just looking at the rest of round three, we got
Bucky Irving, excuse me, Breece Hall to kick off round three. And then we get Garrett Wilson
with the seventh pick in round three. So if there is no Rodgers and part of the report,
I think also from the NFL Network was Devante Adams probably not back with the Jets as well.
How much do you like Garrett Wilson going into 2025?
So I do think the no Adams is significant for Garrett Wilson, because
when I was doing my projections with both Adams and Wilson in the projections,
Garrett Wilson was a number three wide receiver, not a third round pick for me.
At all.
He absolutely could be a second round pick once again, but it's going to take
some, like there's significant risk.
And that's what I look at with these running backs that got taken.
Like we talked about with the, the day three or the UDFA running backs that get
replaced, it's generally because of a coaching change.
Um, it's generally if you have, and he still has the same head coach, but he
lost the offensive coordinator.
And I'm, so I'm a little bit worried about Bucky in that regard, but I'm most
worried about Friis Hall and Garrett Wilson.
Is this just the worst offense in the NFL?
They have a really bad offensive line.
They hired a defensive head coach and now we have no idea who their quarterbacks going to be.
So I could see Brees Hall being an early second round pick because they go get
the guy that excites us at quarterback and they fix the offensive line and
we're all the way back in Garrett Wilson's in round two again, I could see
me not willing to draft these two players at this particular spot because of how
bad it looks, who's the guy that's going to excite us a quarterback?
What can they bring Sam Dornal back?
I don't know if that's exciting.
Excite us.
Well, that's the best.
Is there anyone available who would be more exciting?
If you need a quarterback, I don't know who's out there that you're going to
like cam ward might be the best name.
Jamus.
That'd be fun, but they're not going to
playoffs with Jamus.
Well, I think it's it's probably a bridge quarterback and draft
the guy, you know, or, you know, whatever they can do to maybe
surprise us, but that's going to take giving up, I'm sure a lot
of draft capital and who's partnering with quarterbacks
that are good at this point in the NFL. So there's probably not
that particular guy out there, but hopefully some semblance of
hope for the future and can give Garrett Wilson the target share that he needs and I do think the offensive line could be a little
bit better maybe than you give me credit for just because they were pretty beat up last
year.
We'll see if those guys can come back healthy.
Vera Tucker, for example, you know, if he's a hundred percent, you know, could certainly
improve some things there, but we'll see.
It's a work in progress.
After Garrett Wilson, we have James Cook, Zay Flowers. First quarterback comes off the board in Josh Allen,
Joe Mixon, and Terry McLorin.
So to wrap up round three, we have Brice Hall, Bucky Irving,
Lad McConkey, T Higgins, Mike Evans, Chase Brown,
Garrett Wilson, James Cook, Zay Flowers, Josh Allen,
Joe Mixon, Terry McLorin.
Kicking off round four, we start with another tight end
in Sam Laporta, who was the third tight end off the board.
Then Kenneth Walker, the third, and I want to stop at Alvin Kamara because we now have
the official news that the new head coach for the Saints is Kellan Moore.
So Dave, when you look at the job Moore just did with the Eagles, Heath was praising everybody
but Kellan Moore with what he said about what the Eagles did.
I'm sure you're going to give Kellan Moore credit though.
But in any event, Kellan Moore, now the new head coach for the Saints.
What does that mean for Alvin Kamara?
Is this a good pick in round four too soon too late?
How do you feel about his value at this spot?
I think the value is fine and it might be a shade too late.
Meaning that by the time we get to August, maybe he's around three pick,
maybe he's higher.
The flaws on Alvin Kamara are pretty obvious.
He's 30 years old.
Um, touchdowns are a huge question mark.
He had eight total touchdowns last year.
That seems like a lot for him in the Taysom Hill era.
We don't know if Taysom Hill is going to be back or not.
But in a full PPR format,
he averaged 19 PPR points per game,
6.4 targets per game.
That was the best among all running backs last year.
He actually had a better average in eight games with
Taysom Hill than in six games without
Taysom Hill. It's, it's, it's going to be interesting to see. But I do know that Kellen Moore is a pretty good wizard when
it comes to using his running backs and certainly into plotting an offense. But the same issues for Kamara are going to be
just like what we talked about with Brice Holt. Is the quarterback going to excite us? Is the offense going to be that much better? Can the offensive line stay healthy? It's almost the exact same thing, the difference being that Brice Hall is 24, Alvin Kamara is 30. So obviously Brice Hall is someone we're going to take ahead of Alvin Kamara no matter what. But Kamara in Round 4 does offer some good value as one of those really good RB twos and full PPR and
not PPR, he still averaged 14.1 last season, Jane, that's pretty good for
somebody who's getting so much work in the passing game.
I think instead of comparing Camara to Brice whole, like compare Camara to
the guy who went at the end of round one, he's a year younger than Derek Henry
scored 0.9 fewer fantasy points per game this year and goes 30 picks later.
Yep.
I think it's a fantastic value.
I was just hoping that he would somehow get back to me at the end of round four.
Um, I think he might've been my top running back available early in round three.
Yeah.
And, and you know, Thomas, no, no risk there with Christian McCaffrey and Alma
Kamara as you're starting running backs.
No worries there.
I'm going with the Robin the Robert Turbin strategy.
Take the best available player and the best running backs.
And it doesn't matter if they're old. Trust the talent.
Yep. Trust the talent. Worked out well for Robert, our colleague on fantasy football
today on CBS Sports Network. You can see him hopefully next year with us as well. So Laporta,
Kenneth Walker, Alvin Kamara, Lamar Jackson, second quarterback off the board with the fourth pick in
round four. Dave takes JSN, Jackson Smith the jig boat with the fifth pick in round
four. Isaiah Pacheco goes with the sixth pick. Heath, Dave said that the Chiefs
are gonna have a new running back there. We spent a lot of time pre-sewer bowl
talking about Pacheco. What do you think about him in this spot and just the idea
of what the Chiefs backfield could look like?
Yeah, I don't.
I think the Chiefs have too many free agents and too many offensive line problems to spend
too many resources on a running back.
I was very, I think they'll add somebody, I'm sure.
I was very skeptical about Isaiah Pacheco coming back mid season from a broken leg.
And so I'm not really holding this second half of the season against him.
We've seen guys go an entire off season after a broken leg and still
be hampered the next year.
I expect that he will look more like 2023 Isaiah Pacheco next year than
what we saw at the end of this year.
He might be in a committee that wouldn't surprise me too much.
Maybe the chiefs make the mistake again of using too early of a draft pick on a running back. But yeah,
this is too early for me. Well, last time, Dave alluded to the previous Super Bowl when they got
beat up by Tampa Bay was an all offensive line. And I'm going to be surprised if it's not all
offensive line again, just to try and solve that that well protect your asset and your best asset in Patrick
Mahomes and you know Pacheco yes probably in a committee but hopefully he's healthy
and the lead of that committee this could be one of the best picks of the draft if you're
getting Pacheco lead running back what we saw those first two games of the season in
round four.
Want to talk about the receivers that went in the back half of round four starting with
Marvin Harrison Jr.
So after Pacheco, it's Harrison Jr.
Then David Montgomery, then DJ Moore, then Chuba Hubbard, George Pickens, and Jalen Waddle
to wrap up the round.
So Harrison, Moore, Pickens, and Waddle.
Dave, who's your favorite pick of that group?
Who's your least favorite pick of that group?
Give me the names one more time, please.
It was Marvin Harrison Jr., DJ Moore, George Pickens and Jalen Waddle.
I don't know if this is going to surprise you guys or not.
DJ Moore is going to be my favorite. I think that he's just going to be
still a primary part of the passing game for Chicago.
Could he, I looked into this, Could he be the next to Monroe St.
Brown?
Yep.
It sounds a little bit of a reach to say that because he's never been like as, as
heavily used in the slot as St.
Brown has, but as far as like a reliable intermediate target for Caleb Williams to
lean on, which was one of the things that I thought he could be overall last year. And he
ended up being more of a short-area guy toward the second half of the year. I think he can be that. He averaged over
8 targets per game for the second year in a row. He's, when, after Waldron left, he averaged 17.3 PPR points per game.
He averaged 17.3 PPR points per game. And I think that we will see a much better schemed offense with offensive line upgrades in Chicago.
And that just bodes well for DJ Moore, assuming that he's going to remain the number one target for the Bears.
We'll see if Keenan Allen is back as well.
That could change some things also for the Bears in terms of not just DJ Moore, but Romo
Dunze and maybe Colt Comed also.
And one thing just about tying the two together, St. Brown wasn't really a slot receiver so
much in college.
And one thing Ben Johnson looked at when he was looking at USC tape was, I read a story
about this, he felt that he could be a great slot receiver and decided that that was something
that they could do to move him inside a little bit more than he was at USC.
So maybe something similar happens with DJ Moore also and would be fantastic for his
fantasy value.
So to wrap up round four, we have Sam Laporta, Ken Walker, the third, Alvin Camaro, Lamar
Jackson, Jackson Smith and the Jigba, Isaiah Pacheco, Marvin Harrison Jr., David Montgomery,
DJ Moore, Chuba Hubbard, George Pickens, and Jalen Waddle.
Again, you can see the draft board on YouTube if you're watching along with us or watch
it later.
And you could read all about the story and the draft results on CBSSports.com.
It's going to be round five.
We've got Chris Olave to kick off the round, Chris Godwin followed after that.
Jane Daniels as the third quarterback to Heath, Cortland Sutton, George Kittle at the fifth
pick in round five,
the fourth tight end off the board, and then Joe Burrow as the fourth quarterback. So Heath,
you took Jane Daniels, Adam took Joe Burrow. This is a good spot to take the, I don't want
to say the second tier of quarterbacks, but you know, the quarterbacks three and four
after Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are off the board.
Yeah. I don't have very much separation at all between these four quarterbacks
in my projections for next year.
I originally was looking at it and thinking, man, Daniels wasn't actually
that close to Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, but then you remember he had a
game against the Panthers where he played 14% of the snaps and he played
half of the snaps in week 18, he averaged over 27 fantasy points per game.
From week eight through week 17.
I think he probably gets a much better number two wide receiver in his second
season, Jayden Daniels could absolutely be the number one quarterback in fantasy
this year.
And so I think my strategy might just be, cause Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are
going to go first and second.
I'm not sure what order in every draft. And I'll just wait until those guys are taken, then I'll take Jayden Daniels.
Trey Lockerbie Not a bad way to go. And Adam gets the,
you know, sort of the fallback option of Joe Burrow and then even later in the draft. So after
Burrow comes off the board with the sixth pick in round five, we get Devontae Smith at seven,
Jameson Williams after that to Dave, Travis Etienne, Thomas gets DK Metcalf with the 10th
pick in round
five and then Jalen hurts comes off the board.
So even better value there for another quarterback that's got top five upside.
I didn't have the same passing numbers as some of the other quarterbacks, but we know
he's still going to get his rushing production based on the touch push and hopefully builds
off the Superbowl.
Maybe throws the ball a little bit more with whatever they do that.
They haven't named a new office coordinator yet, right?
If I'm not mistaken. Where's this the Eagles to replace Kellen Moore? No, no, no. They haven't named a new office coordinator yet, right? If I'm not mistaken.
Where's this? The Eagles to replace Kellen Moore. No, no, no. They just lost Kellen Moore. Yeah. I don't know if they had somebody in mind already that... I thought I remembered hearing that they
did have somebody in mind. So I'm guessing a promotion off from their coaching staff, but we'll
see. I do think that's a little bit of a risk. The last time that they went that route, it didn't work out very well offensively for
them.
Um, and I also think that's, that's that, that situation and the lion situation are
probably the two elite offenses that I'm just a little cautious about the offensive
coordinator change.
Yep.
Fair point.
Uh, so hopefully they, uh, they're a little bit more prepared this time around.
Uh, Dave, talk about Jameson Williams and just the receivers that went here. So Devante Smith went one pick ahead of Williams who you took
again at the eighth pick of round five. And then Thomas takes DK Metcalf and Jordan Addison wraps
up the round here. So talk about these receivers and why you like Jameson Williams. Sure. So these
are low end number two fantasy wide receivers in the rankings as of mid February. And I just, I love the way that James
Williams played all year. He only averaged 14.2 PPR points per game, but in his final seven regular
season games, his targets were at 6.1 per game. He had eight games with seven plus targets, averaged
15.3 in those final seven. I feel like this is the type of time in a draft to target those receivers that can average around 15 PPR points per game.
And that's exactly what Devontae Smith is capable of doing. He was at 15.3.
DK Metcalf was at 12.8 for the season, but 15.1 in his first seven games before he got hurt,
and then he really struggled to end the year's last eight games, 10.7.
So you just kind of pick and choose which wide receiver is your
favorite at this point. For me, it's Jamison Williams for Alliance team that I still think is going to throw a good
amount and he feels like an ascending player. So I was happy to take him. I didn't really even have a design for what I
wanted to do in round six. I just wanted to get that third receiver because in all of these mocks that we do, we have
to start three and there wasn't a running back left on the board that I had to have
at that point.
So it was kind of easy just to go to a wide receiver that I liked best and Jamison is
the one that I liked better than certainly DK, but I would have taken them over to Vante
Smith too.
All right.
So just to wrap up round five here is a Chris Olave, Chris Godwin, Jane Daniels, Cortland Sutton,
George Kittle, Joe Burrow, Devontae Smith, Jamison Williams, Travis Etienne, DK Metcalf,
Jalen Hertz, and Jordan Addison. Let's get into round six here as we have some older players to
start the round. Aaron Jones followed by Devontae Adams. So Heath, just in terms of Adams, again,
probably on the move. there was the report again that
if Rogers leaves, Adams may want to follow him as well wherever he ends up.
I don't know what team is going to want to do that.
But in any event, where are you at with Devontae Adams right now?
And you could factor in his dynasty value also.
Is this just a one year situation for him?
You think he's done after 2025?
Or are you looking at Devontae Adams maybe as another two or three years in the league?
Yeah, I think it's best for the player at this age to look at them as a one year
win now type player, but I don't think Devontae Adams gave us any indication
last year, like I said, with Tyree Kill, a guy, a guy starts to show you signs
of decline, believe him, I don't think Devontae Adams gave you any indication
last year, like he came right in and just produced as a, really as a borderline
top 12 wide receiver
for the jets.
So assuming like his landing spots going to matter, but like, here's the funny one.
What if Aaron Rodgers just stays in the building and joins Brian Dable and the Giants and then
Devante Adams goes and crushes Malik neighbors target share.
Ooh, I don't like the, yeah. I have the fantasy where they both go to Pittsburgh and the Steelers, you know, take the
cheap route at quarterback for the second year in a row. Cause Rogers, you don't have to pay him that much because the
Jets are paying him. So he can kind of choose where he wants to go. And maybe he would see Pittsburgh as an opportunity to compete for a ring, one last ring, and
Devontae goes with him. I don't know what their cap situation is off the top of my head. I could
look it up if you guys really cared. But I also remember Devontae struggling a little bit when he
first got to the Jets to mesh with Aaron Rodgers and get back on the same page. And then finally,
it did work. Over the course of the season, this includes his time in Vegas, 10.1 targets per game.
Over the course of the season, this includes his time in Vegas, 10.1 targets per game. As long as he's in a situation where that number doesn't go away, I think Devontae Adams
remains a number two fantasy wide receiver for fantasy.
Look, round six is a great value to take a chance on him.
Hopefully, he ends up in a spot with a good quarterback in a good situation.
He will probably still command targets, but aging wide receiver is just not something
I'm going to want to
invest in heavily.
But round six is a great time to buy into DeMonte Adams if he's still on the board.
So it starts off Aaron Jones, round six, DeMonte Adams, Jayden Reed.
Then we start to see some younger players coming off the board here.
Keon Coleman, Dave takes Patrick Mahomes as I believe the sixth quarterback off the board.
J.K.
Dobbins, Tyrone Tracy to Adam, living up to his giant's true
fandom. Anthony Richardson comes off the board here as QB7. We'll talk about that in a second.
Then James Connor, another older running back. DeAndre Swift to Heath. Romo Dunze, I took
him with the second to last pick in round six. And Tony Pollard wraps up the round.
So Heath, when you see Anthony Richardson as the seventh quarterback off the board, is
that a big surprise?
It is definitely a big surprise and I will not be drafting him if he has a round seven
cost, but we kind of saw this last year.
He was drafted based on his potential and not based on the risk.
Now we've saw a little bit more of his potential last year.
We saw a lot more of his risk last year.
I don't, here's the thing.
I think that Anthony
Richardson could 100% validate and exceed this cost. Like there is still upside as the seventh
quarterback off the board. There's just too much risk for me at that cost. Especially when you look
at it, what do we go two full more rounds without another quarterback being taken. So it's a big gap after Richardson. I'm fine
with him as a borderline top 12 guy.
And look, this is six points for passing touchdowns, four points. It's a little bit different because
of what his rushing upside still is. You know, he did have some great games running the ball
after he was benched for Joe Flacco, but the passing definitely has to improve. So we'll
see how that goes. He's got a quarterback coach that's gonna work with him a very prominent one if I'm not mistaken
And so hopefully things go well for Richardson this offseason that he comes back and can throw the ball a little bit better and then
He could end up being one of the better surprises but round six a little bit too soon
Especially as the seventh quarterback off the board so to wrap up round six
I want to get through eight rounds here, and then we can talk about our team so
We're wrapping up round six. We got Aaron Jones Dev Devontae Adams, Jayden Reed, Keon Coleman,
Patrick Mahomes, J.K. Dobbins as the first six picks, then Tyrone Tracy, Anthony Richardson,
James Connor, DeAndre Swift, Romo Dunze, and Tony Paul.
We're going to take a quick break here.
When we come back, we're going to do two more rounds, give you our teams and some other
thoughts on our first post-Super Bowl 12 team PPR mock draft.
All right.
So here's what we got here for round seven.
And again, if you're following along on YouTube,
whether you're watching live with us now or watching it later,
you can see the full draft board.
If you want the full draft results, check out cbsports.com.
I'm gonna guess the story will be up probably
by either the end of the day on Wednesday or early Thursday.
So kicking off round seven, we have Brandon Iyuk,
then Jerry Judy, then Calvin Ridley,
TJ Hockinson, Cooper Cup, and Joanne Jennings. Two 49ers wide receivers in the first six picks
of round seven. And then Debo Samuel comes off the board later in this round. So we got the news
late last week, I believe it was, that the 49ers are maybe early this week. Might have been
visible the other day, I don't remember, it was a little crazy. Uh, but Debo Samuel, 49ers are allowing him to seek a trade.
So seeming more and more likely that Debo Samuel will not be on the 49ers in 2025.
So Dave, talk about a destination that makes some sense for Debo Samuel.
If you have one in mind, if not just talk about the leftover receivers in
San Francisco with Iuk and Jennings.
And obviously Ricky Pierce saw their first round pick from a year ago.
How did those guys benefit with the bow?
Not there.
Yeah, I don't, I don't have a good idea on a, on a destination for Debo Samuel.
I'd have to think about that a little bit more, but you know, half the teams in this
league are, you know, coached by Kyle Shanahan disciples, be it as a head coach or offensive
coordinator.
So I'm sure one or two of those teams might be interested in Debo Samuel coming in and being a fit for them
Well, we'll just have to see but I think Pierce always drafted in round one last year
With the design of him coming in to replace
either I you if he had left if they didn't sign him to a long-term deal or
Debo if he didn't earn
His his contract last year and now
and earn his contract last year. And now, Debo's on the way out.
Brandon Iuke is coming back from a torn ACL and MCL.
And so, Pierce saw someone who might get us off
to an early boost in fantasy in 2025.
We have no idea if Brandon Iuke will be ready to go.
We have a pretty clear understanding
that Debo won't be there.
Joann Jennings is obviously gonna be there.
You know who I think could benefit a lot is George Kittle,
who had a very good year again.
And the knock on him all along, there's two.
He's old and that he doesn't get a ton of targets
when everybody's healthy.
Well, I don't know how soon everybody's going to be healthy.
And when everybody is healthy,
I don't know if they're certainly,
they're not as experienced
as this receiving core had been previously.
But there could be a huge opportunity for George Kittle to go in and command targets
early on and we've seen him do it and he could keep it up all year long.
He's my third favorite tight end.
I don't when was he picked round five Jamie? Is that when he was off? He was around five. He's my third favorite tight end. I don't, when was he picked?
Round five, Jamie?
Is that when he was off the board?
He was in round five.
He was the fourth tight end off the board.
Yeah, he should have been,
I think he should have been the third tight end
off the board.
I don't know who went ahead of him, but.
Well, it's, you know, our buddy Joey Wright,
he likes to draft his lions, so he took.
Okay, so he should have been a 49ers fan and taking,
Joey's a wrestling fan, and George Kittle is a Penta fan.
Ciro Mada, you've got to go and have no fear when it comes to drafting George Kittle.
Heath, do you have a destination for Devo? Houston makes a lot of sense to me.
Yeah, Houston is probably my favorite destination for a lot of wide receivers. I thought Cooper
Cup would be a great fit for Houston.
So Devo would be great in Houston.
That'd be fantastic.
Um, I Pittsburgh would be an okay one if they don't go get Dave's dream of
Aaron Rodgers and Devante Adams.
I, my fantasy, fantasy, fantasy is fantasy.
Yes.
Um, my takeaway from the 49ers, like where they were drafted in this, I agree with Dave
that Kittle should have been drafted earlier.
I think as of right now, I'm drafting Jennings ahead of IUK and this is a couple of rounds
earlier than I'm drafting IUK.
I don't know at what point we should expect him to be 100% healthy and things weren't
very good for Brandon IUK before he got hurt last year.
Uh, no, they were not, you know, the holdout didn't help or hold in
whatever he was doing, you know?
So, uh, we've seen that from time to time.
Wasn't great for CDLAM either, just in terms of expectations.
You know, sometimes these guys that have these contract
situations, it doesn't work out.
And then I, Iuk has the injury.
So we'll see.
I do think though, the, the two, the two 49ers receivers taking George
Kill out of the equation that I'm
going to try and target heavily just based on cost will be Jennings and Pearsall because I think
they're they're going to be great value picks assuming there's no holdout for Brock Purdy as
well. So round seven again starts Ayuk, Judy, Jerry Judy, Calvin Ridley, TJ Hockinson, Cooper Cup,
Joanne Jennings, then it goes Jaylen Warren, Ramondre Stevenson, Mark Andrews, Rico
Dowdell, Debo Samuel, and Khalil Shakir. If you mentioned Cooper Cup, I know we talked about this
a couple times last week, he's not expected to return to the Rams. They've allowed him to seek
a trade as well. You said Houston is a potential destination. Does Cup still warrant getting
drafted in round seven? So we're really really get to depend on where he lands in the perfect situation.
Yeah.
I think he can still be better than this in a bad situation.
I think he's much, much worse than this.
I think I'd rather draft him today than I would Brandon Iuke.
I'd probably rather draft him around later than this, but if you put him with a good
quarterback and a decent volume offense where there's an actual number one and he can just be the number two
underneath, then I think he can still provide some value as a borderline number two wide
receiver.
He certainly can. But you know, again, he was so in sync with Matthew Stafford. And
will he find that with another quarterback? And obviously, what Sean McVeigh did for him,
I took Jordan Winnington in round 12.
I was excited about that, but we'll see what the Rams do again.
We talked about this, that they could revamp their entire receiving
core with Tutu Atwell almost certainly gone.
And DeMarx Robinson almost certainly gone as well.
So it could be Pukunakua and a whole new cast of characters.
Yeah, Dave.
Jamie, I don't mean to interrupt.
Are we sure that Matthew Stafford is going to be with the Rams next year?
No, and that could be the quarterback that the Jets get that excites us, you know,
so we'll see if Stafford is back. But I would be very surprised if Stafford
and the Rams don't come to some sort of solution here to, you know, pay him what he's looking for.
You know, their Super Bowl window is open. I mean, you know, with the run that they had
this past season, you got young players and, you know, I'd be very surprised if they let
Stafford walk out the door. Les needs to smart for that. So I'd be very surprised if they let Stafford walk out the door less needs to smart for that so I'd be very
surprised if that happens wrapping up round seven then we'll get into round
eight so we have Brandon I you Jerry Judy Calvin Ridley TJ Hawkinson Cooper
Cup Joanne Jennings Jalen Moran Ramon J Stevenson Mark Andrews Rico Dowdle
Dalton Kincaid and Khalil Shakir so no I'm sorry Debo Samuel and Khalil Shakir. So is that, no, I'm sorry, Devo Samuel and Khalil Shakir.
I was reading the small print, excuse me.
So Samuel Shakir wrap up round seven.
Let's get into round eight and then we'll go over our teams.
So starts off with Brian Robinson Jr.
Then Evan Ingram, then Stefan Diggs.
Thomas just cannot quit Stefan Diggs.
David Njokwu at tight end with the fourth pick
in the eighth round.
Michael Pittman to Dave.
TyJ Spears, the sixth pick,
Jalen McMillan, Travis Kelsey, Baker Mayfield,
Jacoby Myers, Najee Harris, and Jerome Ford.
So Heath, just a blanket question,
which pick stands out to you the most as good value
or potentially bad value in a rounding?
I like the David Najoku pick a lot.
As long as the Browns find someone semi-competent
to play the quarterback position, I would say in a joke who should probably be right behind George
Kittle and I'd take both of them over San La Porta.
Dave, same question.
I was pissed that Dave, David Njoku went one pick in front of me because
especially since Brandon took Mark Andrews the round before he doubled
it to tight end in the middle of the drive, who does that?
What are you doing?
Brandon?
You're crushing me.
I think the joke, you said that when you took three quarterbacks though, but I
did that at the end of a draft.
I can't be that mad.
I use, I make fun of Scott Fisher being mad at a mock and here I was.
I can't say the word that I yelled at the top of my lungs in my house.
When the joke who was taken right in front of me. It rhymes with duck. Listen, uh,
I think the Joku with without Deshaun Watson under center can continue to be a
high fantasy point producer.
I think he's still going to earn a ton of targets.
We don't know what the rest of this receiving core is going to look like,
but we've seen it now each of the past two years when it hasn't been to Sean,
it's been good for David and Joku. And I think it's going to continue to be good for David
Njoku moving forward.
Oh, by the way, he's in a contract here.
One of many guys that we've talked about on the show today who will be in a
contract here in 2025.
Wrapping up round eight, we got Brian Robinson, Jr.
Evan Ingram, Stefan Diggs, David Njoku, Michael Pittman, Taijay Spears, Jalen
McMillan, Travis Kelsey, Baker
Mayfield, Jacoby Myers, Najee Harris, and Jerome Ford.
We went 14 rounds in this draft.
Again, you can see the full results on YouTube if you're watching along.
You also check out the full results on CBSsports.com, which will be up by the end of the week.
And I think Adam or Thomas do usually do a good job of linking the results of the draft
to the show as well.
So you can see it there for those of you
in our listening audience.
All right, let's wrap up our teams here.
So I had the second pick, Heath had the third pick,
Dave had the eighth pick, we'll go in reverse order.
So Dave, tell us about your team,
which was Jameer Gibbs with your first overall pick.
Gibbs in round one,
knowing that there was gonna be a good receiver
that would make it back to me in round two,
had no problem taking him then.
Drake London was that receiver in round two. Thank you, Brandon. I can't be mad at you for
taking Xavier Worthy when you should have taken Drake London. London fell into my lap.
I took James Cook in round three, kind of late round three for James Cook. And I think he can
still be a very good fantasy running back, maybe a borderline RB one next year. JSN was the guy was debating with James Cook in round three,
thrilled to get JSN in round four.
Jameson Williams in round five.
Super Bowl loser Patrick Mahomes in round six.
Ramadre Stevenson was a settle for pick in round seven.
And then Michael Pittman in round eight.
Why didn't I just take Najoku in round seven?
And then maybe Ramadre Stevenson
could have made it back to me in round eight.
And if not him, somebody else that probably wouldn't matter that much like Brian Robinson, in a joke who in round seven and then maybe remind Ray Stevenson could have made it back to me in round eight.
And if not him, somebody else that probably wouldn't matter that much like Brian Robinson,
Tai-Jay Spears, Najia or somebody like that. Just for everybody's ears.
Last year, eight games where Watson did not play or left injured, the joke who averaged.
This is a tight end. Sixteen point two PPR points per game on 7.7 targets per game in 2023. Five games with Joe Flacco, 18.2 PPR points per game on nine targets per game. He's not going to win downfield, but David Njoka is a short area target is going to get plastered with the football and get huge numbers. And that's why I think he should be tight end number four and why I'd be loving life.
If he had just fallen to my lap in round eight, maybe I got a little too greedy.
I won't be greedy next time when it comes to Nijoku.
So you, you took Stevenson over both Nijoku and Mark Andrews.
So you had a chance at both those guys.
Yeah.
But I like Andrews doesn't excite me.
Nijoku excites me.
And that's a weird sentence to say at this point, but it's, I kind of
feel like Andrews could be descending.
Isaiah, likely someone who I think could be ascending by the way, he went later on in
this draft.
I think I got sniped on him too.
So, we went into three tight ends and you took three quarterbacks.
So you guys-
Well, we're both in this.
What do you want from me?
But Nijoku is the one that I ultimately wanted.
I would have taken Nijoku out of Andrews.
And why three quarterbacks?
Because it's just good value late in a draft that absolutely doesn't matter.
And I think Caleb Williams and Justin Herbert are worthy of being round 12 and 13 picks
respectively.
So I do, I wonder, you took Mahomes in round six and you're really upset about not getting
N'Joku in round eight.
If you just take a N'Joku in round six and then you'd add those two quarterbacks late, would you like your team better?
Yeah, probably. I mean, would I like it better? I don't know if I'd like it better, but I'd like it. Listen, I ended up with Tucker Kraft in round 11. And I'm going to be a little bullish on him. All the uncertainty that's going on in Green Bay's receiving core. I know they'll draft another wide receiver because that's what the Packers do. But
I think they've got designs on making Tucker Craft a little bit of a larger part of their
offensive game plan moving forward. So when I can't get one of, listen, I like trying to get
McBride or Bowers if I can, if I can, but if I can't get them, I can't get a kiddle. Um, I can't get a good value at tight end early on.
I am very happy to settle for Tucker craft.
Uh, yeah.
And new general manager, Josh Jacob said that the Packers need to get
a number one wide receiver as well.
Um, Heath, let's take a look at your team here picking third overall.
Again, we talked about it.
CD lamb was your first pick.
So take us through your team also.
So I've got huge difference makers at quarterback and tight end and Jaden Daniels and Trey McBride.
Not unlike the way I often draft. I have a wide receiving core of CD Lam, Lad McConkey
and Calvin Ridley. Chuba Hubbard and Deandre Swift are my running backs. At Flex, it'll
be a battle between Jacoby Myers and probably my favorite pick of my draft.
Round nine, I found Tank Bigsby just hanging out.
It was very funny because I'd just done a podcast with Dan, the dynasty show, him talking
about how Tank Bigsby would be the best running back for Jacksonville and how much he likes
his talent.
And then about 30 seconds before I made this pick, Dan picked, made two picks and
said, man, there's just not any value left after round eight.
And then I took Tank Bigsby.
So really felt great.
I know Dan was kicking his trash can because he missed Tank Bigsby, but no, I, I will tell
you just on this team, Jaden Daniels and my projections came out basically tied with Lamar and Josh
Allen for next year.
So that's one of the reasons that I ended up with him at quarterback.
Chuba Hubbard was the most surprising guy for me to show up in the top 12 running backs.
But if you think about it, if we don't expect Jonathan Brooks to play next year, I think
that's exactly where he belongs.
And then I thought Brock Bowers in the middle of round two was an enormous value.
I came away from the projections process thinking that if the Raiders get any
kind of quarterback upgrade at all, Brock Bowers should be a top 12 pick in
redraft and Trey McBride absolutely deserves to be a round two pick.
Yeah, it was great. Great pick by you.
I was hoping you'd follow one more spot to me at the second to last pick of
round two. But you took him and Adam me at the second to last pick of round two.
But you took him and Adam took Brock Bowers in the middle of round two.
All right, so Heath's team, CD Lamb, Trey McBride, Lam McConkie,
Chuba Hubbard, Jayden Daniels, DeAndre Swift, Calvin Ridley,
Jacobi Myers, Tank Bigsby, Xavier Ligette, Rashad White,
Sincere McCormick, Ray Davis, and Cedric Tillman.
For me, second overall pick, I started with Bijon Robinson, took Rashi Rice in round two.
Really excited to get Bucky Irving in round three.
So like my starting running backs, the most of Bijon Robinson and Bucky Irving.
And then it was very wide receiver heavy from that point forward.
So Rice in round two and then in rounds four, five, six, and seven, George Pickens, Chris
Godwin, Romo Dunze, Jerry Judy.
So a mix of a couple of young guys that could still pop or three young guys that could still have upside in Rice, Pickens, and Odunze, and a couple of
veterans that I'm really excited about, depending on where they're playing in terms of Godwin
and quarterback situation for Judy.
Najee Harris, we'll see where he ends up.
Round eight just felt like it was a decent enough value pick.
Zach Charbonneau in round nine.
Like the value for John DeSmith in round 10.
We'll see what happens with Tyree Kill if he's still with the Dolphins.
I took Jalen Wright in round 11, Jordan Winnington in round 12.
Because Dave took seven quarterbacks, I was stuck with Tua Tonga-Bailoa and Trevor Lawrence.
So don't love that situation, but those are my last two picks.
But as we saw with Tua two years ago when he was healthy, led the NFL in passing yards
and can still be a very good fantasy quarterback.
And Trevor Lawrence, we spent some time talking about this when Liam Cohen was hired, that
maybe this is the coach that unlocks
the potential for him, but last round pick
on a second quarterback there.
So again, you can see all the results on cbsports.com.
You can see it on our YouTube page.
You can comment, critique the teams that you like the best,
the picks you like the best,
and obviously the picks and the teams
that you like the worst.
So Adam will be back on Thursday, I hope,
and we will probably bring you the Do Not Draft list for us there.
So for you coming, Dave Richmond, I'm Jamie Isenberg.
Thanks for watching, thanks for listening.
