After the NFL draft, do we have any changes in the top 12 quarterback rankings?
We'll find out with Jamie Eisenberg right now on Fantasy Football Today Express.
And here is Jamie.
I am Adam Azer.
Thank you all for watching and listening.
Any changes in the top 12?
So I made one slight change in the top 12, which was moving Jalen Hertz from six to five.
I'm very excited about Justin Herbert.
I think if the offensive tackles stay healthy.
for the Chargers with the addition of Mike McDaniel that Herbert can build off what we saw in spurts last season,
certainly the start of the year last year when at least Joe Alt was healthy.
Now he gets Rishon Slater back.
Hopefully again, both those guys stay healthy for the entirety of the year.
But look, Herbert, I think, will thrive in McDaniel's offense.
Mike McDaniel, I think one of the more shocking things that will ever go on somebody's resume
or when you look at the history of the NFL,
that Tuotung of Iloa,
then the NFL in passing yards one season.
Yeah.
Justin Herbert's just a much better quarterback.
And so now he gets this guy who they may have had all along,
you know, if they had made that decision
when the two guys were in the same draft class.
Like, I think Justin Herbert's got a chance to be special.
So Herbert was originally QB5 for me.
Now that's Jalen Hertz.
So now it's five for Hertz,
six for Herbert.
And then after those guys are Jackson Dart.
I'm sorry, Jay and Daniels Jackson Dart.
Trevor Lawrence, Caleb Williams,
Dak Prescott, Matthew Stafford.
So that rounds out the top 12 for me.
No, Patrick Holmes.
Yeah, because of the ACL?
Because of the ACL.
If he's healthy and ready to go week one and no issues,
you know, I don't think they're going to start Justin Fields.
I'm sure that's not the preferred plan.
But I'm just nervous.
You know, we talked about this a little bit, you know,
coming off the injury, will he run?
And that's been a part of Mahomes' game.
Not that the 5,050 year he needed to run very much.
But last year that was a big part of his fantasy resurgence a little bit was that he was running a lot more.
And so I think better run game.
I do like the fact that Rashi Rice will, you know, at least as now, be on the field for week one.
Travis Kelsey's back.
So there's a lot to like still about Patrick Mahomes in the situation.
But there's a lot of good fantasy quarterbacks.
And I think that's a big part of taking some of these other guys that may have a little bit more upside in my mind over Mahomes.
Just to further that note about Tua Tua Tuna Viloa and how it relates to Justin Herbert,
let me see, from 2022 to 2024, he was fourth in yards per game behind Tom Brady, who only played one season, Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow.
So the guys who played multiple seasons from 2002 to 2024, yards per game was Mahomes, Borough, Tua.
Incredible.
Yeah.
did you think about moving Jackson dart up?
I don't know if the Francisco Mary Noah,
Francis Maui Noah pick makes any difference to you,
but since the offseason, they've signed,
or they re-sign their right tackle,
so they're good at tackle,
and now they've added another offensive lineman.
They've also added Isaiah likely.
I don't know. What do you think?
He's in a great spot.
You know, he was one of the guys that,
initial rankings right after the season,
does he belong in the top 10?
And was it sort of fluky?
Look, you've got to be a little concerned about the rushing
still being there because we know the multiple concussions that he suffered.
And clearly this is a guy that's got franchise potential,
difference making potential, elite fantasy production potential.
And everything he did last year,
I think they played a half together, Malik Neighbors and Jackson Dart.
DART started week four.
that was the game that Malik neighbors got hurt.
So you, like you said, you add Isaiah likely,
which I think is the biggest piece in the passing game.
You give him Darnal Muni,
and let's not overlook Malachi Fields.
This is a guy that could score a handful of touchdowns
and just make this offense even better and more dynamic
with a third pass catcher that, you know, very raw,
but I think a lot of upside.
You're getting scatibu back at 100%.
Like you said, the offensive line is better.
You know, if Matt Nagy, who, you know,
I think is being probably critical,
criticize a little bit too much can make this offense play at a level that the playmakers can thrive,
which I think, you know, he's shown that he could do that in his role, whatever you want to assign that to in Kansas City because we know Andy Reid was a play caller there.
But still, like, this is this is one of the more fun offenses to be attached to it.
You know, I know you're a pessimistic Giants fan and understandably so.
But like this is one of those teams like I know I want to watch.
You know, I want to see what what they look like.
I want to see all these guys thrive.
I hope neighbors is healthy.
That's a big part of this, obviously.
If he's right and the guy that we saw in his rookie season,
Scataboo is doing what he did before the injury
and likely can show us what he was capable of doing
when he got those chances.
Like, I'm excited to watch Giants.
Yeah, I'm excited to watch Giants too.
I would be more optimistic about them
if neighbors and Scataboo were not coming off of huge injuries.
That's just what really annoys me.
In his first season in Kansas City, Matt Nagy,
did great with Alex Smith.
They were one of the top scoring teams.
Then when he returned,
they finished 14th, 12th, and 20th in scoring.
So it was a big drop.
Yeah, but they were first, the year before, I think.
But they also coincided with Tyreek Hill getting traded.
So I think it's like he left some years in Chicago.
Tyreek Hill got traded and then he came back
and they weren't that good.
I'm pretty sure his first year in Chicago was good, right?
When Chibisky?
It was your rookie season?
I don't think so.
They were 11th in points per game.
They had the best defense in football.
They were 11th in points per game.
They had Trubisky, Jordan Howard,
Alan Robinson was okay.
Then they were 29th in points per game
and 22nd in points per game
and 29th in points per game
in his next three seasons.
Gulp.
So, John's so great.
All right.
There's one big one that we got to talk about here in the top 12.
We'll discuss it after this on FFT Express.

Who's that big one?
It's Drake May with the assumption that A.J. Brown gets traded to the Patriots.
Where is he now? Where will he be if that trade happens?
So right now he's fourth.
I have it as Josh Allen 1, Lamar Jackson 2, Joe Burrow 3, and Drake May 4.
And so I could see myself moving May ahead of Burrow just because I think May will give you some more rushing upside.
Obviously, we know what Joe Burrow is capable of when healthy, when his receiving core is healthy.
And the Bengals are going to be one of the top offenses in the league.
But, you know, May was a superstar in year two.
He did that with Stefan Diggs as his leading receiver.
Now you add not just AJ Brown, let's not forget about Romeo Dobbs.
You know, so two, you know, I would say solid additions, one superstar.
And so, you know, putting May ahead of Burrow, my guess is no matter what my rankings will be,
is that May will be the third quarterback because we've seen some drafts already where May was
the second quarterback selected after Josh Allen.
So it wouldn't even shock me if there are some people out there that A.J. Brown trade happens.
Drake May goes to number one, you know, in some people's list.
You know, he's just got that much upside that much potential.
So three will be the highest.
He will probably go for me.
I'm sure I'll bring this up a thousand times between now and August, but do you look at Drake Mae statistically?
I think he just had one of those years that's not repeatable, even with the addition of A.J. Brown, I could see him rushing for more yards. He only ran for 450 yards and we know he's got a little more potential than that. That's still a lot.
But unless you think, you know what, he could throw a lot more. I think that would be it. But from a completion percentage standpoint, 72% completion percentage.
with a 9.1 yard a dot.
That is not repeatable.
I'd be stunned.
It's just one of those outlier seasons.
So it's weird when I look at a guy who I feel like has to regress a little bit,
but is going to get A.J. Brown most likely.
And he did all this with Stefan Diggs, basically,
and Kisham Booty and whatnot.
And he's so good, I think I'll probably just ignore it.
Because I assume he's going to throw more.
I think the efficiency will go down.
I think the past attempts will go up, and he's going to be a freaking stud.
And he threw 31 touchdowns.
That's not that many.
35 combined touchdowns for a guy who was the number three quarterback in fantasy.
You could easily see a 40, 45 touchdown season rushing and passing combined for Drake.
All right.
That's it for us.
We'll talk to you next time on Fantasy Football Today Express.
Thanks, Jamie.
Thanks to all of you for watching.
See ya.
