catch up on the major stories from around the nfl and let's talk trade here on fantasy football
today with uh with dave richard at five all right my apologies everybody i had a technical audio
issue there we should be good to go now it's been that kind of night yeah i guess so um wasn't sure
i had the wrong mic going there you You know how it is, Dave.
So these intros are getting worse and worse.
Let's talk about some of the latest news.
Taysom Hill on schedule to return this week.
So that's great news.
But Noah Fant is on the reserve COVID list.
He tested positive.
Do you have any more faith in Jerry Judy this week against the Cowboys now?
It certainly helps.
It certainly helps if Fant misses the game.
For now, he's been pulled from our rankings. We're not expecting him to play. And I think it helps everybody,
obviously. But Judy started to pick up some action in the second half last week. And if he's going to play in the slot a little bit more, he'll work those middle of the field routes that normally
could go to Noah Fant. I think Albert Okunemunam could also step in and pick up maybe as many as four catches
in the matchup for the Broncos.
There's a lot more to like,
and Fant's really been a disappointment
for half of his games anyway this year.
We got to talk about the Raiders, unfortunately.
A pretty sickening situation with Henry Ruggs
charged with DUI resulting in death.
And look, I just did an, uh, an hour long chat,
got a lot of questions about it.
Fantasy managers are curious.
So I think we have to address it.
What happens to the Raiders passing game?
I think of Waller's back,
they should be okay.
I mean,
there were a number of games this year where rugs didn't have big numbers and
car did that.
The impact though,
is that rugs forced defenses to play them a lot differently because of his speed.
How do the Raiders go about replacing that?
I think that's going to be a little bit harder for them to do.
But there's definitely going to be a target increase for Brian Edwards, who scored in his last game, if I believe.
Waller's certainly going to get his.
And Hunter Renfro is going to be an easy short area target for Carr to check down to
when things aren't open 15 plus yards downfield because Ruggs isn't there.
I don't think Carr will necessarily be as great.
I think his upside comes down quite a bit.
But he still has 250-yard two touchdown potential from game to game.
Does the Deontay Foreman signing mean anything to you for Tennessee?
It is a world changer, Adam. It's Deontay Foreman signing mean anything to you for Tennessee? It is a world changer, Adam.
It's Deontay Foreman.
It's not a big deal.
But the more and more I think about this Titans backfield, the more nervous I am about any
one of them being a weekly fantasy starter.
I still believe that Adrian Peterson is going to be in the best position to pick up the
most touches from game to game.
It doesn't mean that he's going to be effective. I'm curious what that offensive line is going to be in the best position to pick up the most touches from game to game. It doesn't mean that he's going to be effective.
I'm curious what that offensive line is going to look like.
And I do ultimately think that Ryan Tannehill is going to have to put more on his shoulders.
That's a good thing for him.
That's a good thing for A.J. Brown.
Okay, Dave, let's talk a little trade here.
You've got the trade chart.
Everybody, please check it out.
It is an awesome, awesome tool if you're looking to make some trades.
So who is a buy low for you?
Aside from Jerry Judy, who I talk about every time I get about being a buy low and the fact that he didn't have a huge game in his first back is good.
How about Justin Herbert?
His last two games against two pretty good defenses, good scheming defenses,
have left some pretty weak results.
But I can't help but think that he's going to have some better
numbers as the Chargers move forward and figure out good ways to tinker with their offense,
make it a little bit more effective so that Justin Herbert can be himself and put some points on the
board for the Chargers. I also think Zach Moss is one of those running backs that fantasy managers
who lost Derrick Henry should be able to acquire cheaply. His work in the Buffalo run game really hasn't changed.
He's definitely their red zone guy, definitely their goal-to-go guy,
definitely works in the fourth quarter in a lot of their games.
Certainly the numbers have been missing over the last few weeks for him,
hasn't scored.
That's eventually going to change.
Buy low on Zach Moss.
All right, who are we selling high on?
By the way, I was laughing when you said Justin Herbert
because we just talked about him on our Tuesday night stream,
and I seem to be on the Herbert side.
And I said, you know what?
I think we're going to buy low on Herbert
just based on the feedback I got from the audience
because people seem a little bit down on him.
Who's a sell high?
And his value on the trade chart is down.
So you could really take advantage if you need quarterback help.
Maybe you're still waiting for Russ to come back or
what have you. You can absolutely make a move for Justin Herbert. Sell high Damian Harris.
Six of his next seven opponents are top 10 in fewest fantasy points allowed to running backs.
So there are some tough games coming for Damian Harris and some tough matchups where it's going
to force the Patriots to throw the ball a little bit more. So I wonder if you should take advantage of these games that he's been putting up lately against
weak opponents and turn it into something else that can help your fantasy team. I am nervous
about Damian Harris. And I wonder if there's a sell high opportunity for Dallas Goddard.
I know that he's kind of the de facto number one receiver in Philadelphia,
but I can't help but think that you could either try and use him as
a trade to get to Pitts or Kelsey or even Waller after the games or absences that they've had.
Same thing with George Kittle. Or you can go to stream the position, sell high on Dallas Goddard
when he's been putting up some good numbers since the trade. Can he keep it up? Yes, it's possible
he can. The targets are going to be there for him, but I also think there's a chance that he doesn't end up being a touchdown Falcon.
Falcon for the Eagles. There are not many Falcons in Philadelphia.
I think I disagree. I'd like to debate that one with you tomorrow or Wednesday on the full-length
show. That'll be an interesting one. Is it that you just think he's worth keeping?
Yeah, I think he might be a top six tight end.
Sure, sure.
I think he could be one of the difference makers,
inconsistent because most of them are,
but I think he could be one that you just never really take out of your lineup.
But you know what?
We'll talk about it on Fantasy Football Today, the full-length show.
Thanks for watching and listening, everybody,
and talk to you tomorrow with our favorite player prop on Fantasy Football Today.
Bye.
