This is Fantasy Football today from CBS Sports.
What a play!
And you believe this?
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Off to the races, and he stays on his feet.
It's just going to go the distance.
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
It's mailback time.
Three best words in fantasy football history.
Welcome to fantasy football today, presented by BetMGM,
the sports book born in Vegas.
Yes, sweet.
I think the three best words are I'm a champion.
Yeah, I agree with that.
But the difference is Adam's never been able to say those words for him you know what though
he can say at least for now that you can't say is that he's never finished last in the fantasy
league yeah you mean a guillotine league no fantasy league that's the league which one did I finish
last in last year oh the guillotine league yeah I mean what's gonna it's guillotine you draft neko
you're done like I had two picks that didn't do anything just random I had like the 18th pick
Great.
Recap of one issue.
Honestly, I'm happy to be out of that guillotine league
given what went down to that league this week.
We don't have to get into that.
All right.
We don't have to get into that.
But we have your emails.
We have at Fantasy Football at CBSI.com.
We have Apple podcast questions.
We have...
I need you bring that up, Jamie, early in the show, too.
YouTube comments.
We even have some draftathon questions.
So just a couple more to finish off the draftathon.
But let's start with some news
notes. By the way, I've pretty much lost my voice, which isn't great. Isn't ideal.
So here we go. Sauce Gardner expected to play, but Ed Oliver for the Bills is out and he
could miss multiple weeks. They're at the Jets. Jets Bills Sunday at 1 o'clock. And yeah,
better news for Breeze Hall and for Justin Fields. Jalen Wattle expected to play. Isaiah
likely will not play this week, but he's getting closer. The Colts could be without three key
defensive players. That's pretty much all I got for now.
Colts are at the Broncos.
We'll hope that more comes through.
Jake Moody just...
Jamie, do you have any fake Malik Neighbors'
updates for us again?
Do you have any what?
Fake Malik Neighbors' injury updates again for us?
What fake?
You didn't practice last time.
He played.
He's fine.
Darius Slayton should be fine,
and Andrew Thomas on the fence.
We don't know.
Oh, Christian Gonzalez still not practicing,
so he's not going to play.
Yeah.
That's about it.
Okay, let's get to some more fun stuff here.
Let's talk about, let's do our draftathon questions.
Here's a draftathon question from Scott.
12-team PPR, two running back, two wide receiver, one flex league.
What is your trade philosophy early in the season,
especially after a week one loss?
How do you balance that pushing the panic button feeling
and knowing you need to make improvements?
I know my depth at wide receiver,
Jefferson, London, Sutton, Tetero McMillan,
Olave, Mooney, and Kirk can help me both.
or a weaker running back room of Hampton, Tracy, Kroski, Merritt, and Braylon Allen.
It's a good question here.
Jamie, we don't want to hit the panic button.
So what do you think about early season trades?
I think you should always try to make some trades in week one when you feel like you have a
position group of strength and you're looking at a position group that might be a little weak.
And I'll give you example.
Dave and I could not have had a more perfect trade situation in our podcast league that he turned
down, which I was surprised.
he needed running backs.
His only starting running back right now is Devon H&.N.
He's starting Basial Tutin.
So it's a 14-team league a little bit more challenging.
He's got a plethora of wide receivers.
He's got on his bench, DJ Moore and Keon Coleman.
He's got Jackson Smith and the jig, I forget who else, but very good receivers.
Our team, because I share our team, we have basically two receivers.
Our third receiver is Josh Downs.
We're starting T. Higgins and George Pickens.
Those are our two receivers.
Our running back group, however, is Bejohn Robinson, O'Mary in Hampton, Brees Hall, Jordan Mason, Jalen Warren.
So in a 14-team league, we are loaded there.
Dave is loaded at receiver.
So we tried to trade hall for JSN, using Dave's trade chart, by the way, which favors Brees Hall, and Dave said no.
So could not have been a more perfect situation for both of us.
I think that Dave's partner, his co-manager, may have said no.
That's fine.
I mean, listen, he's entitled to say no.
I'm just saying, like, it could not have been a more – now, he countered with Brees Hall for Marvin Harrison, Jr., which we did not want to accept.
So hopefully we could work something out.
But I think in the case of what I'm alluding to is we have a strong position group and a weak position group, a weaker position group.
Dave has a strong position group and a weaker position group.
Like, those are the type of trade you're trying to make if you feel like you can enhance your team in some way when you have some strong options on the bench.
I'll say one thing about the two.
I agree with everything Jamie said as far as –
overall situations.
Yeah, that checks.
I mean, like, it doesn't check.
It's just a good point.
You can just agree with good points sometimes.
Like, obviously, you should be trading positions of strength or positions of weaknesses.
But in this listener's specific situation, I think he's better off sitting.
Like, now, unfortunately, with the Echler injury, Bill Cross and Marek could be a massive hit for him.
I think given, I know, look, the box score wasn't great.
The fantasy numbers weren't great, but the role was amazing for a Marionhampton week one.
So those are two players that I think if you do, I wouldn't say, pass.
but if you do trade right now for running backs because you're trying to trade a position of strength
for what you deem to be a position of weakness, that position could become a position of strength
pretty fast with those two. And then you might have situations where you don't know who to bend.
So I would sit personally on the roster that he described.
I think it's when it comes to the panic button comment.
So what do you determine to be panic button worthy?
Like Nico Collins, Jamar Chase, those type of guys coming off bad games, I'm not worried at all.
A.J. Brown, even, not worried at all.
Okay.
Ken Walker, for example, that's reason to worry.
Those type of situations are reason to worry, you know, where there was some stuff
happening in the off season, and then it played itself out in the first game that we saw.
Could easily change in week two.
You know, so I had somebody asked me, or Tyree Kill situation, you know, same type of thing,
you know, where there's some concerns, and then you see it play out in the first part of the season.
So injuries, you know, clearly like the chief situation.
You know, how confident were you in Patrick Mahomes coming into the season?
how confident are you after one game, you know, because of what the receiving
court looks like there.
So there are different circumstances, I think, when it comes to these type of situations.
I had somebody asked me, I forget what the trade offer was, but like trying to send
Ken Walker and something else to get Kyron Williams, I think it was, you know, like trying
to get out of the Ken Walker situation, you know, maybe overpay a little bit for somebody
else because you're concerned that this could really go bad.
So those type of scenarios, I think come into play a little bit, but I think if you're just
looking at it and saying, yeah, Marion Ham didn't have a great game.
Dan's 100% accurate.
You've got to look at sometimes the usage and the workload for some of these players
and what the scenarios could be moving forward.
Yeah, I think obviously I was encouraged by the usage for O'Mary in Hampton.
I think he's going to do well.
But I'm not surprised that Najee Harris had a very limited workload given the fact that he
missed so much time.
So he could easily have a bigger workload, which brings us to our second question.
Do you have data that supports that scoring averages for teams increase after weeks one and two
or data that supports that players drafted in rounds one through three,
underperform early in the season due to a lack of preseason snaps.
Well, yeah, I mean, the Bengals are a great example, but they changed their preseason
to make sure they got more snaps because they always go off to a slow start and guess what,
it didn't work.
They faced their nemesis, the Browns, they always do well against them, basically.
But I don't have any data that say that preseason snap, like Pooka Nakua was amazing.
Stafford and the Rams never, ever, ever play their guys in the preseason.
and Pooka's always having good week ones.
I don't know that there's anything to that.
You can almost look at the Monday night game,
and it sort of played out in front of us a little bit
because the Bears played a lot in the preseason,
and they got off to a good start in the game.
You know, the Vikings didn't play a lot of their guys in the preseason.
McCarthy played, I think, a drive,
and got going in the second half.
You know, so it's hard to say.
I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to it.
You know, you brought up a good example with the Rams.
I'm trying to think of somebody that plays in the preseason.
A lot of the Chiefs typically do.
You know, they play their guys in the preseason.
I don't know how much that helped them because of injury.
Injuries.
All right.
Last year, teams averaged 20.4 points per game in weeks one through two.
And 22.2, weeks three through 18.
And that's just offensive points.
So that happened last year.
Weeks 1 and 2 were slow.
Week 23, let's see.
20.6 there.
And 21.
Nope, 2023 was the opposite.
They averaged more points per game in weeks one through two.
than weeks three through 18.
So I don't think we've got anything there.
But thank you very much for the questions.
Dan, I have a trivia question for you.
Yes, sir.
How many times, Dan,
Dan, how many times for us on the East Coast,
there's the one o'clock window and the four o'clock window?
Yep.
How many times are the giants playing in the four o'clock window this year?
Hopefully a lot so I can watch more red zone at the one o'clock window,
but I don't think it is a lot.
Do we have like nothing?
One time.
Oh, so devastating.
All right, Sunday.
Everybody, what are you doing Sunday morning?
Come join us at 11.30 a.m. Eastern until kickoff.
Just kick off for the one o'clock, not the fours.
That'd be a crazy long show.
We're going to answer your starter sit questions for basically 90 minutes,
85 minutes straight without commercials.
And that's at YouTube.com slash fantasy football today.
And Jamie, you'll be on HQ.
What's your sketch on?
You'll be on that on the YouTube as well.
But you're the guy who says you hate abbreviations, and you just said the word sketch.
I'm not abbreviating anything. That's what it's called. It's called a schedule. And you're the
guy who's very clear about you should not be using abbreviations like that. I used it ironically,
dad. No, you did not.
Jamie's on the cue on son. What's your sketch? I think they change a little bit of our schedule
around. So now maybe three segments from between.
Between 12 and 1.
Okay.
Yes, Dan is a haircut.
Haircut story.
He's died.
Oh, boy, do you need a haircut?
Wow, do you need a haircut?
What?
I mean, I got one.
It's so long.
It's so long.
It's just post haircut.
No, it's bad.
Go back.
Go back.
Oh, God.
It does look fine, but it looks fine, but it looks fine like you got to cut three weeks ago, and it
looks fine.
You're going to need a haircut no week.
You're going to need a haircut no week.
No, he's going for a lot.
There's a lot.
There's a lot.
going to head about this haircut. All right, that'll be later. Also, I'm going to tell you the best
call I've made in the last two years. That's coming up. Wow. Like phone call? Any call. Any call.
Let's see what that is. All right. Let's get to some emails here. And our first one is from Peterson.
This is from Peterson. What's that from? This is George Peterson.
What is it? Oh, God. Dan. Go see a movie. What is that? Part of my French, Rooney.
It's a Ferris Bueller.
Oh, all right.
Well, I actually have seen that movie.
Oh, yeah.
But I don't remember that Peterson thing.
It's George Peterson.
All right, half PBR, pick one.
Jameson Williams, Aaron Jones, or Romo Dunesay?
Jamo.
Yeah, I think Jameson bounceback's good there.
All right.
This one's from, oh, second one from Peterson is pick three.
A.J. Brown, Mike Evans, Alvin,
Camara, Tony Pollard,
Tedaroa McMillan,
Giovante Williams.
The first three.
I'll go
Brown Evans, Tett.
Teteroa.
Tederoa.
Sorry.
He doesn't like Ted.
I did forget about that.
By the way, shout out to Josh,
our producer, for typing up
all of these questions
and making them lower thirds.
Josh's elite.
Yeah, he's great.
That doesn't know Thomas under the bus,
by the way.
That doesn't mean Thomas is not elite, too.
Thomas is super great.
Does not mean that.
You're right.
This is from Devin.
Wondering who to start or sit in a PPR league.
Two flex.
What?
I just want to say with that said, I do believe Josh is a better golfer than Thomas.
No.
Yes, sir.
And Thomas is good, but Josh is even better.
Thomas, from what I've heard.
Thomas has no ego at all.
I know.
But he really thinks he thinks he's a great golfer.
But, yeah, it's the one thing he doesn't think he's a great golfer.
Yes, he does.
He just thinks he's a great golfer whenever Dan says stuff like this.
Yeah, he thinks he's pretty good.
He thinks he's pretty good, but he's not Josh's level, which is very interesting.
I thought he'd be the best producer on FFT, given his handicap, talking about Thomas.
But I've learned some stuff behind the scenes, and I think he'd really have a tough time beating Josh.
Wow.
Okay.
So we need two wide receivers and a flex, PPR.
Let's get the wide receivers first.
Sutton, McMillan, and Pierceall.
Sutton and Pearsall.
I really like McMillan this week.
Just looking at some of the stuff I watched the cut-ups of the tape.
He was really close to having a huge game.
I want to play McMillan.
I'll go McMillan and Sutton.
Pearsall and Mac Jones.
I can avoid that.
Pierceall, Hampton, or E.N for Flex?
Or McMillian.
Yeah, McMillan, Sutton.
The receivers, all three receivers.
I'm going to go Sutton, Pearsall, and E.
Okay.
This is from Ryan.
Dear Mike, Brian, Adam, and Dan.
These are NFL head coaches for a team.
Mike, Brian, Adam, and Dan.
Mike McDaniel, maybe, but I don't know if they're starting with a head coach.
These are Mike, Brian, Adam, Dolphins.
Yes, yes.
That's what I said.
Mike McDaniel was getting there.
Yeah, okay.
Dave, the others.
Brian.
Brian.
I don't even know who is two coordinators.
No, no, no, no.
They're the last, all the head coaches, Dolphins have head.
Last four head coaches.
Brian Flores.
Brian Flores.
Who were the other than you?
Adam Gase and Dan Campbell?
Dan Campbell was an interim coach for the meeting.
No.
Oh, that doesn't have to be head coaches.
He was the head coach for a matter of games.
Oh, intro coach, got you.
Okay, okay.
All right, half PPR, two receiver league.
Grade the trade.
Give up Tyreek Hill and Isaiah Pacheco.
Get Teteroa McMill.
and Caleb Johnson.
I don't.
Right now, you're giving up too much.
Yeah.
In a month, you may regret not making this trade.
So it's a matter of where you think Tyreek is going, because really it's Tyreek.
He's the, he's the, the, the swaying factor in all of this, all of these player movements.
So if Tyreek bounces back, you're going to regret this trade tenfold.
if Tyreek goes
AWOL or gets
potentially suspended or
traded
and I say suspended just because of the potential off-field
stuff like
it could be disaster
so
this is what we're talking about
you know are you in the panic button too soon
great it
oh they made trade already
give up Tyreek Hill and Pacheco
get Teterole McMillan and Caleb Johnson
I'm going to say it's a D right now
I'll give it a little higher
I'll give it a B minus
because I do think he probably got the best player
in the deal, which is Tedroo.
I'm very high in it moving forward, given week one.
Given week one.
I mean, the film.
The film, I mean, I watched it too.
And I...
Bryce is going to play a lot better.
A lot of those players are blown up,
blown up by the left tackle
and they're going to get the left tackle back at some point.
All right, from Andrew,
but I would also say that,
I would also say that two is going to play a lot better.
That situation just seems very uncertain to me
across the board like is tyriek gonna play on this team the whole year does tyrie care chiefs let's go
that would be weird but if he goes to the chiefs and everybody's healthy i don't people mention
it'll be like it'll be like a fun reunion people mention the chiefs but i'm pretty sure even with
the the bonus is already paid out even just the base salary i don't think the chiefs can fit him
in their cap situation no the only i think the only way that anybody is taking tyreek is that the
dolphins are taking portion of his paying a portion of a salary you could always restructure
it would have to be a massive portion of they've restructured so many deals there though i guess it's
possible i'm sure they could but i think that would be something that they would have to look into
because it would borrowing from the future to pay now for terry kill which maybe is worth it
all right here we go last question before we take a little break here from andrew ppr flex
Travis hunter or tyler warren warren i would go warn with the uncertainty of what hunter's role
could be.
All right.
In bench worn right now.

This email, fantasy football at cbsi.com, is from Ivy.
And by the way, before I get to Ivy's question,
if you leave us an Apple podcast review,
leave us a five-star review,
let everyone know why you like the show,
help our show grow,
and then you can leave a question.
That's a good way to get your question
read on the air it's not a guarantee but it's higher percentage than sending an email although i do
love the emails and i respond to some of them personally and maybe don't read them on the show but i can
give you a response not again that probably about 40% of those but the email address is fantasy football
at cbs i dot com the letter i i am stuck between courtland sutton and keen and allen who would you guys
go with sudden sudden it's not close for me yeah it's got to be sudden love the show
next part's more important love the show and adam keep being
awesome. Too much hate on you on the air. Amen. The percentage of the percentage of positive emails
you read versus the one time you throw in a negative. It's just crazy. Yeah, that's,
you know, but he is right. Do you think that maybe I actually receive more positive than
negatives? Or do you think I just choose more positives than negative? I think everybody knows your
stick at this point. It's not that difficult. They're right. It's correct. You do a great job.
All right. This is from Christopher.
Hey, Thomas, Samuel, Benjamin, and John.
Thomas, oh, this is, did you say Benjian?
No, I said Benjamin.
So I think we got this one before Game of Thrones characters up north by the wall,
but this is Thomas, Sam.
You always want to make a Game of Thrones.
They're presidents.
I also feel like they're Mel Gibson's sons and the Patriot, I feel like.
There's no.
What was the one thing?
Dan said that one time about Game of Thrones.
Egon Targaryen.
Ghostbusters.
I need three running back.
So sit one of these guys.
Pollard, Hubbard, Jalen Warren, Swift.
It's half PPR.
Pollard Hubbard, Jalen Warren, Swift.
Who's sitting?
Sitting, Warren.
I'm sitting Pollard.
Oh, you're starting Warren over Pollard.
How about that?
Yeah, I like the situation from this week.
All right.
This one is from Stephen.
Dear Chris, Mike, Matt, and Michael.
I mean, this is ridiculous.
It's four of the most common names in the world.
It's a great question, though.
I have no idea what the greeting is.
Are there any stat lines from week one that have untold stories?
Some people, like me, don't get a chance to actually watch a lot of football,
and they only get their info from looking at the stats after the fact.
So were there any stat lines from week one that have untold stories?
I started, I said before, but Tedro McMillan.
Stape was great.
He got open on multiple vertical routes.
We should have got the ball.
There were a couple timing routes that were disrupted by the tackle play,
which could be bad until they get a guano back.
So that, I think, will improve.
I think he comes to mind first.
Let me think of some other ones.
I'm trying to think, I'm just trying to attach it to numbers versus, you know,
what actually we saw.
So, like, the top.
targets for the guys in New Orleans, the targets for the guys in Cleveland, like, how sustainable is that, specifically New Orleans? Because they threw so much. Huh? They threw so much. They threw so much. But that's, I think, a staple for Cleveland, for sure, with Joe Flacko starting. And probably going to end up being a staple for New Orleans.
What else would I say? I would say that, I would say that when I watched Ken Walker and Zach Charbonnet.
Okay.
You can see that Ken Walker is so much obviously faster than Zach Charbonnet.
So I think if you're...
I think the better word might be explosive.
Either way.
I think if you're...
I think they'd be making a mistake,
even though Charbonnet was so much better than Walker.
Strongly disagree.
I think they'd be making a mistake to just like turn the run game over to Zach Charbonnet.
I think he's not going to give them an explosive element.
It's more consistent.
Let me just give you a mistake for what we had.
Yesterday on the show, you don't watch.
So Thursday, 1 p.m. Eastern on CBS Sports Network, we have Robert Turbin join us.
And Turbo's very in tune with the Seahawks used to play for them.
And he even said this when he was answering the question because he's fantastic.
And he said, Ken Walker is one of his friends.
They need to make Charbonnet the number one running back there.
Yeah.
I agree with that.
But to what degree, though?
Well, I don't know if I agree with that.
We're back.
Yeah, go ahead, go ahead, go ahead.
well no no i don't want to cut you off go ahead
i was just to say like i think sharpening it could be the number one running back but i don't
know that i just don't think you can lose ken walker and and make because walker gives them
something that charbonnet just can't he does give them that speed element that you're talking
about i don't know if i would say explosive though i think the charbonnet runs pretty
explosive for for it depends what you mean by explosive i guess i need to frame that better
big plays yeah long plays is not long plays don't happen a lot of the running back position in
general in the NFL i don't think we should be chasing
them or I don't think offense should be chasing.
This reminds me a lot of the DeAndre Swift Montgomery debate from years ago, Adam, that
we had on this show.
And when it comes to a player like Charbonnet, he's just much better at processing runs behind
that.
I think that's probably what Turbo was kind of referencing.
He also gets his weight behind him, he squares up.
He runs with good, low center of gravity.
He runs through contact.
He's like 2.30, but it's pretty fast for his size.
He just looks a lot better behind that scheme.
Maybe it was because of they were trying to play Robert Salon.
They were trying not to run as much outside zone.
own in week one. That's possible.
And they may have matchups where Walker will be the better fit.
But overall, I think Charbonnet is a better running back.
If you're looking for what running back means, he's not as fast.
He's not as explosive.
I'm fine saying that.
But just like playing the position, I think he's better.
He might be.
Yeah, I just, there is a lot of nuance about running back that get overlooked.
I don't know why that one just came to me, came to my mind.
I thought Marvin Harrison was wide open a lot.
And Kyler had a pretty bad game.
Yeah.
um
bowers i think bowers could have had a much bigger game if he didn't get hurt
and he's going to be just dominating all year
if he's healthy that's an interesting one because
looking at the patriots defense this week versus the dolphins
so dolphins coming off a bad game he keeps referencing you know gino smith with
370 passing yards
i wonder if the dolphins are capable of that right now
yeah
i don't know if they are okay i don't know if they are either
that's another especially with with
their offensive line concerns.
You know, so just in terms of, again, referencing the stats, like Gino didn't throw
the ball a ton.
It's not like it was 40- an attempt day for him to get there.
He got there rather easily.
And so that's the hope if you're looking at it from Miami's perspective.
But I also think you're looking at it from the New England defense perspective, like,
if they're going to get after Tula, he's not going to have time to make those places.
So that, okay, on this subject of things that weren't in the box score, the offensive
line, in my opinion, from watching the tape, and according to the pressure rate stats,
was not the problem for the dolphins.
They actually didn't give up a lot of pressures.
Tua just had a really, really bad game.
He was off target.
He was tricked a couple of times.
The second interception he threw was horrible.
The first interception was just an overthrow.
And they were just trailing.
I mean, their defense was so bad.
They were in an immediate hole.
Yeah.
So I think it was mostly it was a really bad game from Tua,
not necessarily the line.
That being said, their line is even more injured
now than it was a week ago.
So the could be a problem.
I get the sense with him, and this played itself out last year with their game plan.
If he's not in rhythm early, he's in trouble.
Yeah.
And so when he's not comfortable, you see happy feet.
Yeah, he was a mess.
All right, last thing.
I'm sure Mike Grable's going to see that.
Two quick ones there that I want to get in.
Chargers, I'm excited to see again because they finally allowed it to be a past first offense.
And Herbert absolutely cooked.
It was the most perfect game film by far.
I saw by any quarterback in week one.
If that's going to continue, that's a big change for fantasy.
And then, yeah, and then finally, Minnesota,
that offensive line was just creating so much push up front in the run game.
That could be huge all season for Jordan Mason.
Without Derrissau.
Without Derrissot, they added Will Fries as a big addition for them, but they were just...
I was one situation away from like a big victory lap in week one.
My ball prediction that without injury, Jordan Mason better than...
Aaron Jones.
Charbonnet better than
Walker.
And then the one that's a disaster
is Braylon better than Reel.
That's okay.
Two out of three is pretty good there.
All right, this is from...
Eric.
It's one week.
It's one week.
From Dave's favorite town on Cape Cod.
I don't know.
We'll have to ask Dave.
Trade Keon Coleman and Jake Ferguson
for Khalil Shakir
and David Montgomery.
It's a non-PPR league.
It's three receivers.
and it's 14 teams.
So give up Coleman and Ferguson.
He has Tyler Warren for Shakir and Montgomery.
Yes.
I would do it.
A minus.
B plus.
I'm going with a B.
I think Coleman's the best player in that deal.
Coleman's better than Montgomery?
Not non-PPR.
Want to do a bet rest of season who scores more?
In non-PPR.
I think I might be willing to do that anyway.
Oh, okay.
Then you shouldn't make it.
this trade, I guess. But that's just me. I'm high on Coleman. I'm with Dave.
All right. This is from Brad. Full PPR.
I think Dave makes this trade.
Dave has to make that trade. Yeah. Pick one in full PPR.
Jerry, Judy, DeAndre Swift, Hollywood, Brown, Tyrone, Tracy.
I think I'm coming Brown.
For this week. Obviously, right?
It's not going to be Tracy. So Judy, Swift, or Hollywood Brown?
To start?
Yep. One.
And what's format?
O, PPR.
Hollywood.
Yeah.
Last one.
Grade the trade from Patrick.
Give McBride and Chuba Hubbard.
Get Tyler Warren and Bucky Irving.
I'm going to give that.
For me, it's a C-minus at best.
I wouldn't do it.
Yeah, I would not do that trade.
Trey McBride at Chubbis and Chubbotton.
Trey Bride and Hubbard for Warren and Bucking.
Irving. Yeah, Jubba's legit. I'm not doing it. Almost time for the fantasy cops. But first,
it's time for the best call I've made in two years and Dan's haircut story. Somehow he got a haircut. I
don't really get it. But about a year and a half, three months, I don't know, year in three
months, something I'm in three months, something I actually briefly mentioned last week, but I said
I've listened to a new musician
is my favorite artist
in the last 20 years
he's going to be the next big thing
everyone needs to listen to him
his name is Sam Fender
this was like a year and a half ago almost
I think
I hope you listen to that
because he's incredible
he came out with another album
now he's like pretty popular
who's on Jimmy Kimmel a few months ago
I'm going to see him in concert
Friday the 19th
New York City. If any of you were there, let me know. It's general admission. We'll say hi. Dan,
I think you should come. I already told you this. It's at Terminal 5. He's the man. And he's been,
it's been like a reward to be able to listen to him basically every day for like last year.
You're saying you discovered him. What's the call though? Yeah. He's amazing. He's been, I said he's
become the next big thing. He's pretty much. He's pretty much. He's what you're saying. Yeah, I
discovered Sam Fender. Yeah. I'll go there. But I also just, I also just, I also,
just want to invite everyone to join me in Manhattan next Friday night for the concert.
It's perfectly, okay, we do this with football players all the time. I predicted it. I called
you, you're the one. So you discovered Sam Fender, okay. Because, I mean, listen, you're on a national
show. Yeah. You were, you were touting how much you liked him. So Talent Scout, Adam, Azer discovered
Sam Fender. He's so good. It is incredible. The best lyricist I've ever listened to, like up there,
Adam.
I'll listen to him and I'll consider it.
I don't know if I can do a concert next week.
I'm doing two concerts back-to-back city tonight and tomorrow.
So shout out to anybody who is going to J-Rad tonight at Pier 17.
If you want to say, what's up, I'll be there or Volpec tomorrow at the garden.
But I am definitely considering it because I do love live shows.
Okay.
I'm going to send you a playlist I made.
It's called Sam Fender's Greatest Hits According to Adam.
You're sending him a mixed tape?
Basically.
Oh, you did it again.
You say mixed tape instead of mixtape.
It's so weird.
But I'm going to send this to Dan, and you're welcome.
All right, Dan, you say mixed tape.
You emphasize tape.
It's so strange.
Wait, what?
It's mixed tape.
It's mixed tape.
Not mixed tape.
Yeah.
I say mixed tape.
Yeah, that's correct.
You finally got one.
If I tell you how Jamie's going to say it, then you're going to start saying it that way.
You're going to say, yeah, I'm with Jamie on this.
I don't mimic Jamie.
I just agree with him on his fantasy takes.
He has good takes.
What do you want for me?
Say it again, Jamie.
I'm giving Dan what?
A mixed tape.
First of all, it's not mixed.
It's not mixed.
It's just mixed.
There's no ED in mixed, mixed tape.
Jamie.
That's a bad moment.
This is not great.
Oh, I sent the playlist to Jamie instead of Dan, my fault.
You should listen to it too.
All right, Dan.
What happened to this haircut that you apparently got?
All right.
So me, you know me a little bit.
You know that I don't really care too much about these types of things.
So I just go to a chain haircut place and I don't have a specific hairdresser.
If I'm ready that day, I'll go.
So I show up at my place, I walk in.
You're Kirk Cousins, essentially.
Essentially.
I show up in my place.
I walk, it's walking distance.
I like that too from where I live.
Show up.
I walk in.
There's a new hairdresser.
The other one that I usually is there that I like, she's with someone at the moment.
So, okay, I walk over.
I get my haircut.
She says, what do you want?
And I have a very, you know, easy answer.
A two on the side.
trim the top. Fine. Then she asked me about our day, but you know, you know when people ask you a
question, but they're kind of just waiting to answer their answer to that question. I do that
sometimes, by the way. I'm guilty. I think we all are guilty of that. Yeah. So she does then. She goes
into this long thing about it's her birthday weekend. She's doing this and this. That's fine. I don't really
want to hear it, but it's fine. Like, I'll chill and I'll relax. But I'm thinking that at the time,
so I'm starting to zone out during her story. And then I see her do something. I've never seen a hairdresser
or do in my life before when cutting hair.
She took a comb.
She wetted the top of my hair.
First, she did the sides of two.
It's fine.
Like, it looked normal.
Everything was going good.
I could start to zone out.
Then she puts the water in the hair.
And I've never seen this before to cut hair.
She parts the middle of my head, like with a comb.
She parted my hair like it was Moses, parting the Red Sea.
And I was close to being like, let my hair go.
Let my hair go.
But I didn't because I'm like, you know, you're like frozen in these moments.
You can't like do anything.
want to trust them.
I've never got the haircut, mid-cut.
I've never gone back and told them to redo it.
I've never complained.
I was always, yeah, you're doing a great job.
You know, like, I'm just a, I'm weak in these moments.
So she's parting the hair, and now she's, like, working through the sides and doing all this
stuff.
And, like, in the end, after all of that, she's already done.
She had done all the job.
Like, the job was done, basically.
She's like, oh, how do you normally wear your hair?
Like, that's a question you need to ask at first.
Yeah.
It's like, oh, I need to come it over to the side.
And then she gave a kind of look like, oh, like, that's probably not going to wear.
work with what I just did to your hair.
I was just like sitting there like, all right, I guess, I guess that's it.
Thank you.
You do not have, you do not have part in the middle hair.
No, obviously, yeah, it's not good for that, right?
No, definitely not.
It's okay.
I did my thing to it.
And it looks pretty much fine for the most part, I think.
But, man, that was wild.
You got to grow up, man.
Like, you got to get a barber.
You got to get a person.
No, but I don't want that.
I like this.
This is cheap and walking distance.
Like, these are things.
I don't care about my hair enough.
But you said there's the same person that you go to in that place, right?
Usually she, yeah, I usually get the same person.
So then you just wait for her.
Yeah, you could have just waited.
Someone wants to know if you tipped.
Of course I tip.
I'm a good tipper.
The hair looks good.
The hair looks great.
It just doesn't look like it was cut.
I know.
It actually kind of worked out fine.
Like after I did, you know, I did the comb over thing that I do.
But it doesn't look bad.
Like I kind of think overall it ended up pretty good.
It was just in the moment watching her do that, like part the hair.
I had literally just a line going down the middle of bald.
And it was crazy.
I've never seen it.
It's a new style of a way to do it.
I don't know.
It's crazy.
But it was worrisome in the moment.
Jamie doesn't need a haircut.
I do need a haircut.
Kelly's on vacation.
Oh, brutal.
It's so bad.
Jamie will not get a haircut unless if Kelly were out for three weeks, he'd wait three weeks.
See, that's what a smart person does.
I'm not a smart man.
Kelly is, Adam has never looked better than when he went to Kelly.
Kelly's great, but the guy got now is the man.
He's great.
He puts on great music.
90s rock when I'm in there.
It's good stuff.
For you?
Are you asking for you?
No, it's just what he likes.
Okay.
Yeah.
All right.
We're going to get to the fantasy cops after this quick break on fantasy football today.
Then we'll come back and we will regulate your leagues.
Be right back.
Wait.
I didn't get charged for my donut.
It was free with this Tim's rewards points.
I think I just stole it.

Sunday, you can count on the NFL on CBS,
delivering division rivalries and some of the best QBs in the game,
including reigning MVP Josh Allen,
taking his show on the road when the bills face Justin Fields and the Jets.
Oh, able to hurdle through it all,
and take it home for the touch.
It all begins at noon Eastern with J.B. and the guys on the NFL today.
You can always count on Sunday with the NFL on CBS and Paramount Plus.
Yeah, I don't have the guts to tell the barber like, no, you're doing this wrong.
I know. I don't have the guts to do it.
I'm going to get a terrible haircut.
And then I'm not going to say anything.
Right.
Very nervous.
And I'll say everything's fine at the end.
Yeah.
There's something wrong with me.
All right. It's time for the fantasy cops.
This one is from Andrew.
He says, hey guys, can you chime in?
This league's been running for 20 plus years
with a group of friends that basically hate each other.
We've been on CBS.
That's awesome.
We've been on CBS forever,
and waivers always ran Thursday mornings.
But for whatever reason, this week, week one,
waivers ran Wednesday morning.
The league rules setting...
What did you say?
Sounds from...
I know.
That's why I included it.
That's why I included it.
The league rules setting state that waivers run Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
On the ad player page, it had the date of Wednesday the 10th next to the player's names.
So four teams placed waivers on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
When the waivers cleared, guys began picking up free agents.
The guys who were unaware that waivers ran were obviously not happy and wants to reverse all the moves made.
But the teams that put their fab, it's fab, by the way.
The teams that put their fab bids in feel like it should be fixed.
going forward as they now have a disadvantage with the rest of the league, knowing the players
they were interested in and how much their bid was going to be. So we tried to bring this to a vote
and we got about five reverse it, three don't reverse it, and a few saying, I don't care either
way, and a few no answers. Any insight here on how this should be addressed? To be quite clear,
go ahead, Jamie. It was never made clear that it was running Wednesday this week. It was never made clear.
It was in the league rules.
I guess it was changed or something.
I don't know.
And if you went to the player pages,
you saw Wednesday next to their names
in terms of when they were available.
Yeah, I think that's probably,
the only league I know that does that for sure.
I could be wrong, but sleeper.
You could see the...
No, our leagues do it.
Our league is in the free agent report, yeah.
No, no.
If you, like, if you go right now
to one of our CBS leagues and go to add a player,
it'll tell you when that player is available.
On the player page.
No, no, on the stats page.
If you're looking at all the projections, this is a CBS league.
It says we've been on CBS forever.
Oh, okay.
You think I know my own?
Okay.
I think if there was no mention of it prior to, so the commissioner changed the rules without telling anybody,
then you have to make sure everybody's aware, and it should be reversed.
I'm sorry for the people that put in claims.
It doesn't seem like the commissioner did that or remembers doing that.
It was so unfair, too, though.
Like, everyone knows the exact price that people are bidding.
But that, I mean, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, it's.
If it was an even playing field, and everybody knew it was going to be on Wednesday, you'd have the same situation.
Yeah.
Yeah, I guess that's the only solution.
I think so.
I think you got to reverse it.
And by the way, I did this in the Dynasty League last year.
I changed it.
Egg burger?
I don't remember changing it.
That's the thing.
I guess it used to run on Thursdays, and I changed it to Wednesday's waivers, and Darnell Mooney was available after week one.
And Jamie never put in a claim for him because he thought waivers were running Thursday.
I guess I changed it.
I honestly don't remember what happened,
but I screwed up.
I screwed up and I was lucky
that Jamie didn't make a big stink out of it.
We moved on.
It was an error on my part.
I think sometimes...
What do you mean you were lucky Jamie
didn't make a big stink?
Well, no, because Adam ruins my teams,
but I don't make a stink when he...
Oh, I see.
It was a very...
Look, in Dynasty leagues,
there are not...
The darnel Mooneys of the world
don't come along very often, right?
Right.
It was a really big-time pickup after week one.
Because I would have spent
probably most of my fat.
And Jamie could have
put up a big stink about it and be like, we should run it again, this and that, and I would
have been in a tough spot. So I guess the message could be here. Sometimes commissioners
screw up. Give him a break. You could give him a break, you know, do its best for the league.
But yeah, it's a tough call. I get it. All right. This one's from Tim. I think I can't really
hear the music. I hope it's not too loud for everybody. Tim's in the second year of a dynasty
League. We have a no tanking rule, which means you must set a valid lineup each week with
no injured or suspended players. The last place team from last season has Rishi Rice left him
in his lineup for Friday night, week one. His opponent pointed it out to the group. Okay,
his opponent pointed it out. The commissioner edited the lineup and put Rice on the bench.
But now, the last place team's opponent who pointed this whole thing out is going to lose or
lost because of the lineup fix from the commissioner.
At the time Friday, I said that it didn't seem fair that the commissioner fixed the lineup
since it seemed like Rice was in the lineup either by accident or because the manager
didn't check his lineup rather than just tanking.
And now the opponent wants the commissioner to put Rice back in his opponent's lineup.
Should the commission put Rice back in the lineup?
How can we discern between tanking and bad managers?
I guess the question would be is, has this ever happened before?
Because clearly if this is a rule and the commissioner has gone and fixed it, this time, has this happened in previous years?
Because I see this all the time, like where commissioners step in and fix potential mistakes, egregious mistakes, obvious mistakes, you know, whatever, the way you want to define it.
And so if, oh, hey, this manager is doing something illegal, goes in and changes it.
So was there a discussion between the Rice manager and the commissioner of who to replace the player with, or did the commissioners do that on his or her own?
I think there's just some unanswered things here because if there's a history of this, then I think the one who's losing is just stuck.
Well, I also don't think that you make a difference.
I don't think you discern between tanking and bad managing.
If the rule is that you have to have a roster with no suspended or no injured players, then that's the rule.
Well, that means Rice should be out of the lineup, but I don't think that means you should be, the commissioner should be paid.
picking the player. I think it should be done after the week and it should be put the lowest
scoring player in. Okay. That's a good solution. Yeah, that's a good solution. I like that.
Okay. Problem solved. Right. I guess and we also don't know, like is the player that was put in
the really the difference. Yeah. Like did they put in Quentin Johnston, for example, you know,
right. Yeah, right. Someone who we did not expect, the, the world did not expect to have a huge game,
except for Adam.
And he did.
You called that one, too?
No.
No.
Sam Fender and Quentin Johnson in week one.
He said it two and a half years ago.
I desperately, I, in desperation, started Quentin Johnson in a few leagues.
But no, I didn't call that.
From Chris.
How were you in a desperation position in week one in a few leagues?
Two of them are Dynasty Leagues, I think.
Okay, okay.
The other one was a 14-team PPR league.
I was expecting to start Christian Kirk.
Okay, that's fair.
All right.
I have a problem.
in my league and I don't know what to do.
Our commissioner sets an illegal
lineup every week by adding
more players to his bench than the
app should allow.
He keeps his extra player until the start
of the Sunday games and then drops one.
What? What should we do with him?
Obviously, kick him out
and you just run your own league or you
quit his league and start your own league. This is
ridiculous. He's literally cheating.
What's the explanation for this?
I don't know. I play
at a league with the guy who does
this all the time.
You're saying I do this all this?
Yes, you do this all.
This is the J.B. Special.
All the time?
No, but this is exactly what happened in the Dynasty League.
Most of it was absent-minded, to be honest with you.
I don't understand.
And then part of it was me just messing with you because you decided to step in and
reverse a trade that shouldn't have been reversed.
Wait, you vetoed a trade?
What was that one?
Okay, listen, you got to turn your damn notifications on.
I really do.
I'm missing a lot of stuff.
I missed the Tadden Daniels trade.
I had an illegal lineup and then to fix my illegal lineup instead of dropping a player, I traded.
Oh, you traded.
Okay, that's fine.
No, it's not fine.
You cannot pick up a player without dropping someone to go over the roster limit and then make a two-for-one trade to your benefit because you happen to have an extra player.
It was not a two-for-one trade.
And at the time, there was no roster limits that were saying my lineup was illegal.
You said my lineup was illegal.
There was nothing in the rules that said my line.
Wow.
Yeah, you had too many players.
You went over the roster than that.
There was nothing in the rules.
I don't buy that.
I don't believe that.
Listen, I let you fix my errors according to you and have not complained once.
You dropped the player off my roster.
I did not complain.
I gave you two weeks.
I gave you two weeks to do that.
You did not give me two weeks.
I gave you at least a week.
I gave you a week to do that.
No, you did not.
I gave you at least five days to do that.
You did not.
You said it on the air.
I'm going to give you till the end of the show.
No, you're lying.
I told you before.
that. I told you before that to do it and you didn't do it. And then I set it on the air and I gave you even more time after that. And then I texted you and I told you what to do. And I said, if you don't do it by one o'clock, I'm dropping this player and you didn't do it by one o'clock. And I dropped that player. Everything I did was above board and quite kind, quite friendly on my part. First off, there was nothing in the rules that said I could not have an extra player on my roster and then trade that player within the time frame that I did it.
Yes, there is. You said this on your own in the chat.
You did not have it in any league rules.
Listen, I'm not arguing with you.
I have not argued with you once throughout this entire process.
I've let you run this thing however you wanted to, and I've shut my mouth.
Right?
Oh, yeah.
No, you've been a very, yeah.
I have not complained.
But you also, I also asked you on your own, which player to cut from my team.
No, I didn't.
I told you who was going to be, and you didn't object.
I didn't answer you.
I said, okay, I said, hey, you need to drop somebody by 1 p.m.
or I'm dropping Devin Neal.
He didn't answer.
sir, he didn't drop anyone, so I dropped Devin Neal.
And I didn't complain. Go ahead.
Nor should you.
I mean, I obviously can.
No, but, but, but, but, but, but, I'm looking at it now.
Please drop one more player by 1 p.m. after that, I'll drop Devin Neal.
Jamie says, quote, okay, if I forget, and you do, I'll drop guys from FFT.
I like that. I like that a lot.
You know what we did in our league?
We had this issue in our league.
And so we just said, whatever the site allows, we allow.
So if a player is ruled out and you can put them on IR, the site allows that we allow it.
It's so much better than the policing.
It's so much better than commission has to look through every.
And I'm the commissioners league.
I'm not looking through every roster making sure nobody's doing this like every week.
That's ridiculous.
It's just easier to go by what the site allows, honestly.
Okay.
But in this case of this commissioner who's hoarding players until Sunday, keeping them from the rest of the league and then dropping them before the lineups lock.
Everyone should just do what the commissioner does.
I mean, you could do that.
It's just easier to just do the site allows.
It's just the self-policing stuff just gets so messy.
All right.
But I do need to say one thing about the Big Burger Dynasty League.
I scored 193 points in week one, and I'm in first place by a mile after Adam and Jamie both criticized my guillotine chop, which deserved criticism.
I had to put that brag in.
You know what?
This is the place, this is a safe space to brag.
Good job.
I wouldn't even call that a humble brag.
I can't figure out if I want to just.
There was nothing humble about that, no.
If I want to just sell.
off the entire team
and really just
I'm buying
like to send me
like your worst tradeoff
or something
okay okay
oh yeah me too
same here
oh I see what you're
you're hinting at
interesting
oh you're gonna
oh you're gonna like ruin
the league
you would never do it
all right we got
Apple podcast questions
this is from hindsight
dear branded
oh I think
I think Dan will get this
dear Brandon
Ahmad
Tyrone and Ron
Oh, we got Giants running back.
There you go.
Grade the trade.
PPR Lee.
What a throwback.
Do you remember Tyrone Wheatley?
Oh, my mind was going Tyrone Wheatley.
But Tyrone Wheatley was, I think, the first Giants jersey.
No, Rodney Hampton was.
Okay.
Do you remember Rodney Hampton?
Of course, I remember Rodney Hampton.
I have a very funny Tyrone Wheatley story that I will tell you off the air.
I cannot tell you on you.
Oh, okay.
I'm interested.
All right, I traded Nico Collins,
Braille and Caleb Johnson
for Ashton Genti
Chris Olave and Naji Harris
Nico, Braylon Allen and Caleb Johnson
for Genti Olave and Naji
So basically it's Nico for Genti and other parts
I think Olave is more than just than other parts
It's basically Nico and Braylin for Olavee and Genti
because I do like Olavee too
I still don't love the trade
I think Nico is the best player in the trade.
So would you trade just on their own?
Would you trade Genti and Olavet to get Nico?
Or vice versa.
I would rather go.
I think I'd rather have Nico, too.
I think it's an even trade.
Good job.
It was very alarming, though.
I'm hoping it's just the Rams pass rush is so dominant.
And secondary.
And secondary.
But it looked really, really bad for the Texans.
It looked like that offensive line was non-functional.
Okay, I think this might be a fantasy cop situation on Apple podcast.
From Gris Paul 11, I'm in a 32-team Geotene League.
I had submitted the highest bid for Tetero-McMillan.
However, unbeknownst to me, at some point yesterday, the app moved David Bell off of
I-R to my active roster and gave me an illegal lineup.
I mentioned this in the league chat.
The commissioner fixed it.
The other manager complained, and the commissioner switched it back.
I started with Bowers and Mahomes, so
anyway, forget that part.
Should I get Tetero and McMillan?
The only reason he didn't get Tetero and McMillan
is because the app moved David Bell
off of IR into active roster
without him noticing.
Oh, he should get McMillan, in my opinion, then.
It was waivers?
Yeah, it was Fab.
Fab.
So I'm confused.
It didn't run because he had an illegal lineup?
it didn't submit his bid
but he ended up with the
with the highest bid for McMillan
but I guess it didn't process it
because he had an illegal lineup
and they've heard of that before
yeah I'm not sure about that
that's on our site no
did you say okay I mean if there's evidence
that he had the highest bid then yes he should go
it just kind of creates a little bit of a conundrum going forward
because you know what if you did notice that someone came off your I
are and you still made the bid anyway and then you said
oh I didn't notice you know what I mean
It's kind of like you might have to just stick with what the app does.
The player in question is David Bell?
Yeah.
I know, but...
Why is David Bell still in a roster?
I don't know.
Good luck, charm.
This is from Bishop, J.C.
Hey, Cooper, Terrell, Randy, and Jerry.
Cooper, Terrell, Randy, Jerry.
They're receivers.
Cooper.
Oh, no, I think
Terrell Owens?
Like,
but what team is?
Why would Cooper Cup be in that?
Yeah.
Oh, oh,
four NFL-wide receiver
grades that attended
FCS schools.
Oh,
nice.
That's cool.
Yeah.
Did they all play
for the Seahawk at one point?
Did Randy Moss ever go to Seattle?
No, no, no.
I don't remember Owens on Seattle.
Owens on Seattle?
At the very end, maybe.
Where did he?
He had some weird stuff going on.
at the very end, Owens.
No, I don't think so.
I think it was Seattle, but he had something,
it was somewhere weird at the end.
Where did he?
He went to Buffalo, he went to
Dallas, San Francisco,
was it just San Fran and Cincinnati at the end?
Maybe it was the Bengals you're thinking of.
That was, oh, Buffalo.
Buffalo and Cincinnati at the end.
Yeah, so no Seattle.
All right, here's the question.
All four receivers are,
all four of the mercy, excuse me.
Pacific Northwest.
This is as Dan would say.
Yes, it was.
Yeah, Seattle's 100% of the Pacific.
Right, but San Francisco is.
Yeah, it is.
It's more north.
Yes, it is.
Dynasty question.
Right now I'm starting pits at tight end.
But Fanon was my plan for the future.
Has the future arrived?
Should I be afraid of the Ravens D when it comes to tight end production?
Do I keep or move pits if I move him to the bench?
So what do you think?
I would play Fanon, but I think it depends on, and we should know this soon, hopefully I'll check.
but Mooney and London status,
it sounds like they're both going to play.
If either one is out,
then I would probably go Pitts
just because there's so much upside in this offense.
I'm very curiously,
this is another one of,
does week one carry over
to the rest of the season?
Because no Mooney,
but Pennix,
anytime he was asked about Kyle Pitts
was raving about him,
we saw a different role to a certain degree
with the route he was running.
And I do think,
I know the score didn't reflect it,
but I do think that they're going to be
in some shootouts most weeks
because of how bad they're
defense will eventually start to look. So if you're getting that Kyle Pitts and Fanon, then you're
in great shape. But for this week, if both receivers are playing for the Falcons, I would go with
Fanon. I thought that was by far and away. I watched the tape. I thought it was by far and away
the best Kyle Pitts's look since he entered the NFL from an explosiveness standpoint. He reminded
a little bit of what I saw at Florida. Now, at the same time, all Harold Fanon Jr. has done is
break records. He was dominant last season in college football. No one cared. No one gave
him credit for it and then he looked awesome in week one so i think it's a tough call i kind of
like them both moving forward though and i think you could be in a pretty good situation a few
weeks from now with a chance to trade one of them all right let's get some youtube questions here
i see this one that i want to read uh quid john judkins question multiple play what do you think
about this comment dan uh you know how i think about that once football season starts i
forget about baseball completely comments i'll watch the play now i'll watch every playoff game but
I don't want. I'm done. I'm done in the regular season. Too much going on.
Would you like, I'm going to make this a music question. Would you like John Mayer over
people are strange if Bowers doesn't practice? Yeah, I think John Mayer is one of my favorite
living artists right now. Watching him play dead in company is unbelievable. I think he was one of
the best, if not the best live guitar. No, I can't say that. Because what's that dude's name? I have
my blanking on it. The kid plays with the Allman Brothers reunion band. Why am I blanking
on his name? Trucks. Yeah. Trucks is the best. That guy? Yeah. No Dallas got it. He's number one.
But I'm going to get Mayor, put Mayor up there. All right. Would you like Michael Mayer over
Brenton Strange if Bowers doesn't play? Oh.
Man, that's tough. I would guess we're going to get game time decision for Bowers.
Yeah. So you probably are going to start Strange just to be safe. But that's not a bad call,
although America could be great.
Yeah, hit four catches in week one.
Is Tetero and McMillan a cell candidate?
He seems really bad.
No, I thought his tape was great.
If anything you're going to say bad about Teterola and McMillan,
it would be Bryce Young.
Yeah, that's...
With the offensive line healthy,
because that was a big reason why he started to look better
at the end of the year,
the offensive line started to play great,
then you should be very excited about McMillan.
But is he a cell candidate?
I think if you're getting something great in return,
then sure. But any, I'll go back to the start of the show with the trade question.
Like, you have a Mecca Abuka on your team. He's the perfect sell high candidate.
He may be awesome rest of the way. You got an older Mike Evans and an injured Chris Godwin coming back.
And what we saw week one could be the start of something great. But there's something going to change.
And so what is going to change? We don't know. Godwin may not be ready until week six.
Evans may be another Hall of Fame caliber season. Who knows? But I think in the case of like,
A player like McMillan, like if somebody like Dan, for example, is really coveting him, really excited about him, you take advantage of that.
And Dan may be right.
There's, there's, both could be right.
Right.
Dan may get the player that he wants and thinks is going to be fantastic and may be giving you, let's say, a trivia on Henderson because he's got a great backfield and, you know, is looking to make a move and you're buying in on somebody that could be fantastic too.
Like, it's not always AI won the trade.
Both people can win the trade.
Sure.
Okay.
Half PPR.
Should I drop Ray Davis,
Trey Benson, or Naji Harris to make room for a defense?
I think you can drop Naji Harris.
I think in the,
don't drop Trey Benson right now because you look very good.
Yeah, that for sure.
In week one, he's behind an older running back.
In the case of Naji and Ray Davis,
you have to ask yourself,
if they become the starter,
who has more value to me?
And for me, the answer would be Ray Davis.
Did you watch the Trey Benson tape?
No, I didn't.
get a chance to, unfortunately.
I'm going to nicknamed him.
What?
His nickname is Bounce.
You like, oh, bounce outside?
He's always bouncing outside.
He's always, and it worked.
He had a really long run.
I think he had a 50-yard run or something.
No, Harvey had a 50-yard run.
I can't remember.
He had a long run.
He did, right?
Yeah, but he's always, he's Ken Walker, basically.
Yeah, R.J. Harvey has that similar thing, too.
Grade the trade.
Gave up D.K. Metcalfe, Keon Coleman, and Krosky Merritt.
for Bucky Irving and Tyreek Hill.
You have potentially the two best players in the trade.
Yeah, I think I don't, yeah, I like it minus the Tyreek part, but it's good enough.
I want Bucky.
Okay.
And if Tyree is right, you win the trade by a lot.
Hey, for me, yeah, I'll go away.
Dan's haircut is really nice.
Sutton, Pierceall.
Thanks, Derrick, R.
Yeah, Sutton, Pearsall, T Mac, or Jacoby?
Half PBR.
Sutton.
Sutton.
Sutton.
That's a good group, though.
Haircuts sucks.
Start two in Superflex.
Screw you, Scott Green.
Just kidding.
You can go...
Hold on.
I got to read them for the audio audience.
Dak, Trevor Lawrence, Tua, and Darnold.
Start two.
Dak, for sure.
That's an easy one.
First two for me.
Yeah, it's Trevor Tua.
I really kind of want to go to a man with that matchup,
but I don't know if I have the guts to do it.
So I'll go Trevor Lawrence.
So Dave sent me a cool stat
Well not so great if you want to start
Doc Prescott first of all the spread in that game is four and a half points
Cowboys are crazy right weird
Yeah they should probably put a zero at the end of it
But um he Dave says
Brian Schottenheimer is entering his 13th year of his life as a play caller in the NFL
In his prior 12 years he called for 35 or more
pass attempts in blowout wins.
Those are 10 or more points.
Twice in his entire career.
When his team is won by 10 or more points, 35 or more
pass attempts, two times in 12 seasons as a play caller.
Every game, okay, and then he continued, Dave said,
his past four games against the Giants have had very mixed results.
One monster game with over 400 passing yards and four
touchdowns in a blowout win, a modest 20,
point seven fantasy point outing in week four last year and two duds on low pass volume in fact
every game except the monster had uh every game except the monster had prescott throw 30 or fewer
times so that is my concern but i'm not as smart as Vegas they've got it as a five point spread
four and a half point spread hampton or jalen warren ppr i'll go warn hampton for me for sure
it better not be warren i'm going to be mad if i'm going to be mad if you're
it's Warren. Why can't they both be good?
That's not how this works.
It's a zero-sum game.
I don't really know what that means, but it felt
right. D.K.
Pearsall, Swift, Henderson,
half-PPR, sit one.
D.K. Pierce-all, Swift, or Henderson?
Henderson.
I'm going to sit, Swift.
I don't know if this is PBR or not.
I can't really tell.
Half. Okay.
I'll sit swift.
I kind of want to sit pierce all, but I'll sit swift.
You know the Bernie Max scene and Bad Santa where he keeps going half?
It's trying to negotiate the money.
You just keep saying half.
No?
I think about that all the time in this show.
PPR, start Hawkinson or Fanon?
Fanon.
Yeah, Fanon for me.
Listen, if we're starting, I agree, but if we're starting Fanon over Hawkinson,
can we at some point, when are we going to get to the point?
where we say this Hawkinson take by me that I took a lot of heat for.
This might not be the sheriff.
I took more heat for it on beyond the box score is correct.
And you're,
I'm supposed to know the take?
The take is that he was undraftable at his ADP.
Oh,
I don't agree with that,
but.
If we're not starting him in week two over Harold Fanan,
and he was literally undraftable at his ADP,
you're just burning a pick that you could use for running back or a seat.
Or two,
a Mark Andrews guy though?
Not really.
No.
I had him ranked like 14th in my tight ends.
I was a wait.
I was a wait for Kincaid,
love land type of guy
or take Bowers or McBride
Bench 2
Metcalf, better call
Pearsall, good one
Pollard, Pickens
Travis Hunter, Keenan Allen
I can't you think of stuff like that
oh come on
I've got such great team names
DK Metcalf
I'm gonna come up with a team name right now
for our FFT league that we're all in
so yeah sorry
Bench 2
DK Pierceall Pollard Pickens
Hunter, Keenan Allen.
Alan and Hunter.
Hunter, for sure, for me.
I really like Allen.
I'll bench Pollard and Hunter.
I have got some very good possibilities for team names.
I've got Jalen Hertz.
He's great for team names.
I've got both Warrens.
I've got Pearsall.
I've got Nico.
I've got A-Chin.
I've got Golden.
Hmm.
Your team names?
And I got Purdy.
This roster is just...
Give me your players again?
Hertz and Purdy.
A. Chan,
Nico,
Golden, Pearsall,
Tyler, and Jalen Warren.
What's your record?
Party, but it hurts?
1 and 0.
Pretty, but...
I was, I thought I was golden, but now it hurts.
I do have Zach Ertz.
Also.
Oh, boy.
I didn't even tell you that.
Rushing it.
No, I said Hertz.
Oh, you have Ertz and Hertz.
I have Ertz and Hertz and Pearsall and Warren and Warren.
Wow.
I don't have enough time to think of it.
You have way too much ammo.
You've got to figure something out there.
Yeah, this is the best team name team I've ever had.
All right, that's it for today's show.
Have a great weekend, everybody.
We will talk to you.
You know what?
Actually, I'm going to do rapid fire.
Rapid Fire.
No explanation, just answers.
Ready?
This is how we're going to end it.
Swift Hampton Henderson, sit one.
Swift.
Pierceaw or a Buka?
Pierceau.
A Bucca.
No, play Ibuka.
Jamie says play Piercell.
Mason or Booty?
Mason.
Non-PPR, pick one.
Pickens, more Judy.
Pickens.
Pickens.
Jalen Warren, Jamo, or Jacoby Myers?
Full PPR, Jacoby.
Jacobi by a lot.
K-pop Travis Hunters.
I love it.
Great team.
name to end the show. We are out of here.
K-pop demon hunters. For those of you who don't have young kids, no idea.
Have a wonderful weekend. Talk to you Sunday morning. See ya.
Don't miss a moment.
Culture's in trouble. I can feel it.
Of TV's number one show.
These people are dangerous. I'm doing this alone.
Not at all.
Every Batman got to have their routing.
Coulter!
Justin Hartley stars.
I made a promise.
I would never stop looking.
In Tracker.
