This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports.
On his way to the end zone.
I'll tell you what, that was a spectacular play.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
What a play.
Off to the races.
Touchdown.
Oh, he's done it again.
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, Heath, and Ben.
It is your Saturday mailbag.
Hope your weekend is going great.
Hope your college football team wins today, whoever that is.
Welcome back, Big Ten.
And welcome back to all of you listeners, Adam Azer, Frank Stample,
and Jamie Eisenberg.
I am in the middle of picking up Jamal Williams in all of my leagues,
or A.J. Dillon, where Jamal Williams is not available,
because I just saw right before we went on the show
that Aaron Jones mispracticed.
By the time you all hear this, you'll know what
the deal is.
Hi, Jamie. Who would you pick
up, Jamal Williams or A.J. Dillon?
Jamal Williams. According
to
Matt
Schneidman, who covers
the Packers for the Athletic,
apparently Aaron Jones, while we're recording
this, is still going to meet with the media.
So that's a good sign that he's probably going to play.
Okay.
Then I'll stop picking him up everywhere.
Well,
I just said that so you wouldn't get him in the leagues.
I already got,
well,
Jamal Williams has taken in some leagues.
So I've been picking up AJ Dillon,
but yeah,
that's whatever.
Keep an eye on it.
Y'all know what to do.
And we don't have a ton of news.
We do have a ton of questions,
your Apple podcast questions and
your fantasyfootballatcbsi.com
questions and your
fantasy caps questions.
I can't
really dance like that anymore because we're on YouTube
and now that's going to live like forever
in perpetuity. I don't like that.
All right. So the news we do have
is that Joe Mixon is out. Frank wants
to put Gio Bernard in his top 10.
So let me ask you this.
Joe Mixon's been pretty disappointing
this year.
The offensive line stinks.
We spent a lot of this
year being like, what's wrong with Joe Mixon?
So why so high?
Not that I disagree, but why so high on Gio?
I just think that the fact that Joe Mixon. So why so high? Not that I disagree, but why so high on Gio? I just think that the fact that Joe Mixon has already been ruled out, like we don't have to
worry about what the workload is going to be for Gio Bernard. I think he's locked in for at least
15 touches. And I brought this stat up on Twitch on Thursday that the last two games Gio Bernard
has played without Joe Mixon, he's averaging six and a half targets and 18 touches per game.
So it seems like a pretty safe PPR floor as well.
So I know some people just got burned by Alexander Madison,
and they might not want to go back to Gio Bernard as a result,
but I don't necessarily think that it's the same situation.
I think the workload is pretty damn safe for Gio.
Okay, yeah.
I think we're all pretty excited to start Gio if we have him.
Austin Hooper's out, Jamie.
What's the impact? I understand David Njoku might be a decent pickup here.
There goes Baker Mayfield.
What about Beckham? What about Beckham and Landry and whatnot?
I mean, their MO is going to be to run, run, and run some more.
I mean, Baker's still dealing with a bad rib, bad chest area,
you know, whatever they're listing on the injury report.
I also have a bad chest area.
Yeah, but that's because you don't ever go to a gym or do a push-up or lift a weight or do anything
physical um it's true how much how much does andrew weigh now probably about 25 pounds all
right that's the most you lift in your life so no no i i make i make my wife lift him now like
he's too heavy for me that's like do you bench press your son? That's the legal workout.
Yeah, that makes sense.
Yeah, when
Adam's wife says, take out the garbage, Andrew runs first
because he can lift more.
I think
that Njoku
in tight end premium leagues
in desperate scenario
because you don't have
Mark Andrews who's on a bye
or you're stuck because you were the Hooper fantasy manager,
then that's where you're starting a guy like David Njoku.
Okay.
Good matchup.
Jameson Crowder returned to practice.
Limited.
Hopefully he will play against the Buffalo Bills.
And let's go to the Apple podcast questions.
Although, Frank, I just got your text message.
I'm sorry.
No, that's okay.
We can have this conversation on the air.
Frank is recording the podcast.
I already told you on Friday, my audio doesn't sound as good.
My recording is not what it normally is.
Frank says the Fantasy Cops music might not be playing.
So I'm going to play it
and you tell me.
I hear it,
but when you played it before,
I saw some dead air
here in the recording.
All right, let's take a look.
Ready?
Did it play?
I can't tell.
I'm hearing it in my headphones.
Fantasy Cops music may or may not be working today uh i'm sorry about that that's basically
the reason why you listen on uh on saturday well here are your apple podcast questions i got a
bunch of them i didn't get to all of them we have so many and i appreciate that but this one's from
sam doherty hey joe otis brandon and ahmad i know that. Jamie, you know that, right?
Joe, Otis, Brandon, and Ahmad?
Wait, who the heck?
Who's Joe?
Is that something to do with the Packers?
The Giants running backs.
Ahmad Bradshaw.
Otis Anderson.
Who's Joe?
Give me names again.
Joe, Otis, Brandon, Jacobs, and Ahmad.
Joe Morris.
Joe Morris, yep.
How do you not know that?
Because I'm 10 years younger than you.
I should have known that. That's bad.
You're not 10 years younger than me.
How old are you?
44. I'm 8 years younger.
First, I'd like to say...
Frank, you know that Adam is the only friend of mine
that didn't wish me happy birthday this week.
Wow, that's messed up.
I was saving it for the air. I said it to you on the show.
Oh, gosh. Even I sent a Facebook message air. I said it to you on the show. Oh, gosh. You know, even I
sent a Facebook message to Jamie for his birthday.
Come on, Adam.
Alright, so Giants fan Sam needs to
know who to flex in
PPR.
Choose two. Drake, Daryl
Henderson, DJ Chark.
You've got to find out
if Henderson's playing.
Yeah, okay. If he plays. Drake henderson shark ppr i think it's shark and drake in ppr i think drake and daryl henderson are very close but
it's not like henderson catches many passes either so i'll lean with drake i would take uh
drake would be third for me i, I don't know what to expect.
I mean, everybody's going to be excited about the game last week and I get it,
but he's got what two catches in his last four games.
It's been bad, man.
I don't, I don't know why they just don't use them more in that regard.
From Seabass.
I was offered Josh Jacobs and Tyler Higby for Joe Mixon and Mark Andrews.
So give up Mixon and Andrews, get Jacobs and Higby. No Mixon and Mark Andrews. So give up mixing and Andrews get Jacobs and Higby.
No,
wait,
no.
So he countered with Andrews and Gaskin instead of mixing for Jacobs and
Henderson instead of Higby.
Would that be a good deal?
Give up Andrews and Gaskin for Jacobs and Henderson,
14 team league.
I wouldn't want to give up an elite tight end.
Again, like having the elite tight end
just makes your life so easy in fantasy.
He does have Dallas Goddard.
Yeah, but not for another three weeks.
When are we going to see Dallas Goddard?
That's not true.
Goddard could...
Week 10.
That's what they said, week 10?
Well, they're by his week 9.
He's not playing next week, so they said...
How do you know he's not playing next week?
Do we know that?
That's what they said. That's what the report is yeah well i didn't see
that i didn't know that okay so you do it yes or no i i wouldn't i would want to keep the elite
tight end give me the trade again andrews and gaskin for jacobs and henderson uh no i would not do that okay from tog togiones
i'm a three and three in a ppr league i was just offered clyde edwards ziller
julio jones and john brown for my mcafree and aj brown so give up mcafree and aj brown he
says he has running back depth he He has Cook and Aaron Jones.
Damn.
McCaffrey and AJ Brown for Clyde Eberts,
Elias Hulio, Jones, and John Brown.
No.
No, no, no.
I mean, look, you're 3-3,
and you have RB depth,
so you can afford to wait for McCaffrey to return,
and really, I mean, like,
you're only getting John Brown.
Like, John Brown is the additional piece in this.
Otherwise, it's kind of a wash, so.
Yeah, nope, don't do it.
Yeah, you're not in the dire straits of trading McCaffrey right now,
and then when McCaffrey comes back,
you have more trade options at your disposal.
This is from Flatbush2LA.
Dear Bernie, Andy, Derek, and Jorge.
I know them.
Yankees.
The Yankees.
Frank.
Oh my goodness gracious.
Thank you.
Okay, I love the show.
I used to have a 50 mile commute
and would listen on the drive.
Now less of a commute,
so I listen while running
or getting groceries.
I started listening
before Adam had a girlfriend.
Wow.
How about that?
For the record,
Butterfingers are the worst candy.
Diehard is a Christmas movie.
It's soundtrack.
He says,
and Adam still needs to eat and swallow a booger flavored jelly bean,
bamboo bean boozled.
Yeah.
No.
All right.
I need a flex here.
Robert Woods. This is PPR. Robertbert woods t higgins lavisca
chenault woods for me yeah woods all right from nfl 21 nfl football 21 grade the trade ppr give up Godwin, Swift, Gordon, and Crowder. Ooh.
Godwin, Swift, Gordon, and Crowder.
Get back Dalvin Cook and Mark Andrews.
I, in a 10-team PPR,
I assume you have a lot of depth
and you're consolidating.
So, yeah, I like this.
You get a top five-ish running back
rest of season, an elite running back,
and you don't have to worry about tight end. So, I would give it a B+. I like this. You get a top five-ish running back rest of season, an elite running back, and you don't have to worry about tight end.
So I would
give it a B+. I like it.
I like it as well.
You just got to hope that Dalvin is
healthy because
that's always going to be the fear with him, especially coming off
an injury. The reports are he's going
to play in week eight, but
we just don't know. This is from
Talking to Him. I need a running back or do I half point PPR?
I have McCaffrey, miles, Sanders, Taylor, Kelly,
and Zach Moss at running back. Okay.
He's five and one. So do I trade?
And I'm wondering what to do in week seven and eight right now. he has McCaffrey, Miles Sanders, and Taylor on a buy,
and he'd have to start Kelly and Zach Moss.
Do I trade Ridley and Zach Moss for Galladay and Mike Davis
or ride this week out with the unknown and play Kelly and Moss?
He's the McCaffrey owner, you said, right?
He is the McCaffrey manager, yes.
Ridley and Moss for Galladay and Davis.
I would do this because you're getting a must start guy in davis and you have the security of waiting for mcafree
to come back because we've seen that just been an easy transition and galladay and ridley to me is a
wash so i like that a lot yeah it's a good trade i think but that's interesting that galladay and
really are a wash for you yeah that's what i was thinking i think it's a good trade, I think. But that's interesting that Galladay and Ridley are a wash for you.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
I think it's a slight downgrade.
Ridley's better, but we've seen maybe the best of Ridley already,
and we've yet to see the best of Galladay.
All right, this is a grade to trade from Big Gulps, huh?
Standard scoring lead.
Give Kelsey, James Robinson, Watson, and Chark.
Kelsey,
geez,
these are like blockbusters today.
Kelsey,
James Robinson,
Watson,
and Chark.
Get Wilson,
Jonathan Taylor,
David Montgomery,
and Rob,
and Alan Robinson.
All right.
So you go from Watson to Wilson.
That's a slight upgrade. You go from Watson to Wilson. That's a slight upgrade.
You go from...
James Robinson to Jonathan Taylor.
Upgrade.
Yeah.
And then you go from Chark and Kelsey
to Montgomery and Allen Robinson.
Oh, this is a win.
This is a B trade.
I think it's like a B minus, C plus.
You're losing Kelsey, which stinks.
Yeah.
But everything else is a win. Yeah, it's good. All right. This is Sean from Staten Island. Hey, Peter, Raymond,
Egon and Winston. Frank, you know them? Really? No. Where do these stairs go? They go up. They
go up. Really? You don't know the Ghostbusters?
Oh, man.
I haven't watched Ghostbusters since I was a kid.
I legitimately have not seen it since I was under the age of 10,
and I don't remember anything that happened in my life before I was 12.
I was going to say, that was like two weeks ago.
Grade the trade.
Someone offered me DeAndre Hopkins for Joe Mixon.
I have Zeke and Jonathan Taylor, so I took it. Grade the trade. Gave me DeAndre Hopkins for Joe Mixon. I have Zeke and Jonathan Taylor, so I took it.
Grade the trade.
Gave up Mixon for Hopkins.
It's an A-plus for week eight, week seven.
Yeah.
It's an A.
Yeah, I think it's an A regardless.
Okay.
This is from Trade Grader.
Give A.J. Brown, get Jonathan Taylor.
Shouldn't we be asking them if they're the trade grader?
I guess so.
Was it?
Oh, actually, no.
This is from Zach T.
The subject was trade grader.
I have a podcast.
It can be a little confusing.
Give A.J. Brown, get Jonathan Taylor.
B plus. I think it's a fair trade.
It's just position scarcity.
Yeah.
Yeah, I probably would rather have Jonathan Taylor,
but it's like a C plus for me.
I just wonder, you know, I'm glad he's back at practice,
but is this anything going to be an issue for A.J. Brown all year?
Well, if it has, I haven't noticed.
He's been pretty good.
Well, I mean, he didn't have him for two games.
Right.
When he's been on the field, he's been great.
I just got a text from Shraggy B.
Apparently, another analyst was invited to do this mailbag with us,
and I forgot.
But he is out.
He's not going to be.
He said, blank is out for the mailbag.
So that's,
Oh,
who is it?
Come on.
You got to tell us.
Oh,
you got lucky Adam.
Oh my,
I did get lucky.
Who is it?
Chris?
I forgot.
Oh yeah.
Sorry,
Chris.
Glad you're out.
No hard feelings.
But I'd love to have you on.
This is from Rush Manzada.
I've been listening for five years now.
Thank you very much.
Week seven, Chase Claypool or Tyler Boyd?
I'd go Boyd.
This is extremely close.
Yes, it is close.
I have Chase Claypool a few spots higher in the rankings.
Juju Smith-Schuster,
kind of been banged up with this knee injury,
and it might explain why he's playing so badly as well.
A lot of mouths to feed in Pittsburgh.
I'll go Claypool, but it's really close.
Yeah, I just wonder how Claypool's going to do
with Deontay Johnson back,
because all of his big games have come
with Deontay Johnson hurt.
So I think it's close also,
but I'll play Boyd against the Browns.
Macman13, grade the trade.
And I was offered the following trade.
It is give up Montgomery,
Brandon Cooks,
and the Washington DST.
Okay.
Montgomery Cooks and Washington DST for Josh Jacobs,
Tim Patrick,
and Latavius Murray.
It is a half point per first down league.
Strange trade.
Yeah.
I like it.
The crutch of the trade is basically Montgomery and Brandon cooks for Josh
Jacobs.
And Tim Patrick's been good.
He has.
He has.
I would give it a,
a B it's solid.
Okay.
This is from slim said,
uh,
super flex standard scoring Clyde Edwards,
Elior or Jared Goff?
I'm still going to use Goff.
I'll play Edwards-Hilaire.
It's one of the rare instances where I won't play the quarterback.
Dylan, 1858.
Grade the trade.
Brock, Trevor, Peyton, Drew, and Joe.
Dear Brock, Trevor, Peyton, Drew, and Joe.
Who dat?
Broncos quarterbacks? Their number one
picks, maybe?
Broncos quarterbacks, he's right.
Are they? Oh, yeah.
Osweiler, Simeon,
that guy, Manning.
Joe Morris.
No Tebow.
Trade Cooper Cup,
Marquise Brown, and Le'Veon Bell.
Cup, Marquise Brown, and Le'V cup marquise brown and levy on bell for
james connor and terry mcclurin if you're getting uh the mcclurin side i love it yeah you are getting
what it seems like yeah i like it too jamie do you want to get in on the debate we had yesterday
on twitch thursday on twitch who is a better wide receiver not is a better wide receiver? Not fancy. A better wide receiver right now. Marquise Brown or Antonio
Brown? Antonio
Brown. That's what I said.
What did you say, Franklin?
I agreed with you. I said Antonio Brown.
Chris is just trying to stir up
controversy. You know how he is. I don't know how
you can say Marquise Brown is a better wide
receiver now after a guy's been in the league for
as long as he has been. And it's not like he's sitting on his
couch doing nothing. I mean, the guy just goes out and practices with whoever can throw
him the ball so well it's not the same because chris would say frank actually does a pretty good
chris impression about being let's hear it yeah chris would say well guys you know antonio brown
hasn't played for two years and the last time we saw him it's not like he was even great anyway
what did you? Catch one pass
with the New England Patriots?
We don't even know what he's been doing this entire
time. Hollywood Brown is an
ascending star.
I don't think he's really close.
That's really good. You just got to slow it down because
he's methodical with how he talks.
Also, he was saying that
Antonio Brown was in decline
in 2018,
which I'm just not convinced is true.
If you were to tell all 32 quarterbacks in the NFL right now,
you need to throw a pass to one guy to get a first down to keep a drive alive.
And you have Antonio Brown who hasn't played football in over a year and
Marquise Brown, who's been playing that entire time for the most part,
who would you rather have?
I'm going to guess,
including Lamar Jackson,
they probably would all say Antonio Brown.
Yeah,
I think that's a good way to put it,
or just to say,
Hey,
you can have this one wide receiver on your team.
Who would it be?
I think they'd say Antonio Brown.
Uh,
all right.
This is from Dylan.
No,
we just read that.
This is from screwed by a label.
This is funny.
Uh, love the show.
Do I go with Crowder or DJ Moore this week?
Got to see what happens with Jamison Crowder.
Was there a Friday practice report?
He was limited.
He was limited.
All right.
So if he goes, I would use Jamison Crowder.
I would definitely use the owner of Bill's Mafia.
Yes, Jamison Crowder.
And rest of season, pick four.
Who are your favorite four?
Pick four.
You only gave us four names.
Jamison Crowder, DJ Moore, Juju Smith-Schuster, Chase Claypool.
I guess, how would you rank them rest of season?
Crowder, Moore, Juju, Claypool.
God, it's going to suck to say Juju's last.
Yeah.
Crowder, Moore, Claypool, Juju's last. Yeah. Crowder Moore Claypool Juju?
I think...
I would say...
Yeah, that's the order I would go with.
Crowder Moore Claypool Juju.
That's my order.
All right, from D. Bossolini.
Should I trade Derek Henry and James Robinson
for Alvin Kamara?
Man, you're giving up a lot,
but I would do it.
I'd probably want something back
in return, though.
Yeah, this person has a lot of depth
at running back, too, and it's full PPR.
Yeah,
you should ask for something in return.
If you have this many running backs, you might need help at
wide receiver or tight end. I would
ask for something in return as well. I would imagine
if you're willing to give up those two starting running
backs and Henry's been on par with Camara that you can get something back
and return some,
some level of receiver.
Okay.
And finally from Josh,
this is weird.
Dear Egon,
Ray,
Peter and Winston,
Frank,
you know who they are yet?
Oh yeah,
of course.
Ghostbusters.
Okay. Uh, pick two running backs.
Josh Jacobs,
David Montgomery,
James Robinson,
David Johnson,
and Justin Jackson.
I hope that's Justin Jackson
and not Josh Kelly
because he put Josh Jackson.
Josh Jacobs, David Montgomery,
James Robinson,
David Johnson, Justin Jackson.
Who are your two favorites?
I assume this is just for this week, right?
Yeah.
I would put James Robinson in for sure.
And my next ranked one is Josh Jacobs,
who might not have an offensive line.
I would go with Robinson and Justin Jackson.
Not David Johnson.
I just like the upside better for Jackson knowing the Jaguar stink.
Okay.
Okay.
They're all relatively the same.
Yeah.
I have Robinson, Jacobs, and David Johnson.
Actually, I have all five of these running backs in a row, I just realized.
Robinson, Jacobs, Johnson, Montgomery, Jackson, in that order.
They're all in that
high-end number two range.
I don't know if you can
hear it, but the Fantasy Cops
music is playing.
Alright, we got
three Fantasy Cops questions.
First one comes from Anthony.
My league went kind of sideways in the last few days,
which has ultimately led to me taking over as commissioner.
Yesterday in our league, a trade was accepted,
and the guy who accepted it regretted it after the fact and was good friends with the commissioner,
and both of them texted people throughout the league
and got them to veto the trade.
This came to light, and the commissioner stepped down
and I was then appointed commissioner.
Now that I'm the commissioner,
should I reinstate the original trade?
Oh God, what a mess.
Yeah, I think the trade should go through.
What happens if an actual NFL team makes a trade
and then they're like, wait, hold on.
I didn't actually want to do
that. They can't just text
the other owners and be like, hey, veto my trade.
I think it should go through.
I think it should go through also.
Okay. And that means
we're on to our next one.
I have to do the music
by myself just in case you can't hear.
Ted says, I'm in a family and friends league.
We have a manager who enjoys playing fantasy football,
but doesn't really know the players all that well.
That team dropped Christian McCaffrey tonight
after having him on his bench the entire length of the IR stint.
And now he's due to come back any week now.
He dropped McCaffrey basically because he was still shown on IR.
He has no idea who McCaffrey is essentially
and what his value is.
I asked the commissioner to step in
and inform this guy that McCaffrey
is still valuable to his team
and can help his team still.
The commissioner won't step in
and surprise,
the commish has the number one waiver priority.
Oh no.
We feel like we should kind of look out
for the less knowledgeable players
given that this is a family league.
This disrupts the competitive balance big time.
Should this be allowed?
I'm always of the belief that you want to have people,
especially if they're playing for the first time, have fun.
Because that way you have it.
Put it this way.
It's much easier to find a running back in a fantasy league
than it is to find somebody to play in your league that you're going to actually want to be in your league.
So if this is a guy that you like or a person that you like and they don't know what they're doing and you want them to have the best experience and they do something silly like this, it's an easy thing to correct.
It's such an easy thing to correct.
Why would you want to ruin that person's experience and then they don't play fantasy again?
Yeah, and they're going to feel terrible too.
I hate stuff like that.
Yeah, it's a family and friends league.
Just don't take it too seriously.
If this is a high stakes league or there's money involved or something, then of course,
whatever. That person has to live with
their decision, but come on. Family and friends league.
Give McCaffrey back.
You're going to really feel, hey, I got Christian McCaffrey.
I swindled the league.
I've been waiting for that number one waiver spot.
I finally got it, and look who I got.
Christian McCaffrey.
Very cheap.
Don't be a schmuck.
That's good advice.
All right, this is from Andrew.
I love the show.
Here's what I want you all to rule on in our PPR Dynasty League.
We had a trade go through where one team got Dallas Goddard, Kenny Galladay, and a fourth round rookie pick next year.
And they gave up Travis Fulgham and Logan Thomas. Should this trade be vetoed? They gave up Fulgham
and Logan Thomas for Dallas Goddard, Kenny Galladay, and a fourth round rookie pick next year.
The team that acquired Fulgham had the chance to get Mixon
but specifically asked for Fulgham instead.
There was no collusion. I just think
the guy who got Fulgham is just an idiot.
What do you think?
That's what it sounds like.
Yeah.
I think the trade should go through.
I am not in favor, usually,
of vetoing trades ever.
If this person is playing in Dynasty,
I assume that they have some knowledge of the player pool,
although it doesn't seem like it here.
I would just let the trade go through,
but it is a very lopsided one.
I mean, you got to look.
If Fulgham becomes a superstar,
you're going to look back on this trade and say,
God, he only gave up Galladay, Goddard, and the fourth round pick.
But it doesn't seem like that's going to be the case
because Galladay is already a superstar.
And Goddard could be a monster next year,
especially since it seems like the Eagles are moving on from Ertz.
This is just a guy overvaluing a certain player,
and that's what happened here with Fulgham.
Yep. Bad trade. Make fun of the fantasy manager.
Jamie, we'll call him a schmuck
No, no, no, this would be a putz
A putz
And those are your fantasy cop questions
Thank you very much, please keep them coming

So I don't really see why not.
I just have to make sure that's kosher.
And if it is, I will allow that.
So yes, I'll get back to everybody on that.

council bluffs why not i don't know where that is but i know it's a small town dear mr fantastic
human torch the thing an invisible woman i don't know them no seriously like who are they i mean
i'm sure they're superheroes the fantastic Fantastic Four. Oh, that makes sense.
Oh, God.
That makes up for me not knowing the Ghostbusters.
No, it does not.
No, it doesn't.
All right, I tried.
I was offered Clyde Edwards-Elair and Adam Thielen
for Christian McCaffrey and Hollywood Brown in PPR.
Would you give up McCaffrey and Brown and Hollywood Brown
for Clyde and Thielen?
I think it's super close.
If you need to win now,
obviously Edwards Hilaire is the only player playing because the other guys are on a bye or injured.
But then moving forward,
you got to obviously assume McAfee is better than Edwards Hilaire,
but Adam Thielen has been top three in PPR.
Yeah, he should be much better than Hollywood.
It's a very fair deal because you're getting...
It's like McCaffrey's the one,
and then the two and the three are Edward Soler and Thielen.
I like it.
I think if you were four and two or better,
I would probably take the CMC set.
Okay, from
who are you, person? Ryan
from a small town in Nebraska.
Council Bluffs, Iowa.
You're Tyrod, Chester,
Sean, and Jason.
Jamie, you got that?
Tyrod, Chester, Sean, and Jason?
Tyrod, Chester, Sean, and Jason? Tyrod, Chester, Sean, or Jason.
They are tailors.
They're tailors.
Oh, okay.
It's not their profession.
It's their last name.
Should I trade Calvin Ridley or DK Metcalf
for Lockett or Cooper and DeAndre Swift?
So give up Ridley or Metcalf,
get Lockett or Cooper and DeAndre Swift. So give up Ridley or Metcalf, get Lockett or Cooper or and Swift.
Well, if you give up Ridley,
I would rather have Metcalf than Ridley.
But if you give up Ridley,
then you're going to have two Seahawks wide receivers
on your team,
which is not necessarily a huge problem.
It could be awful if Antonio Brown signs.
That is true.
I think I might give up Metcalf for Lockett and Swift.
But wouldn't you rather have Metcalf than Ridley
rest of season, Adam?
No, I actually don't think I would.
I think Ridley's going to get a lot more targets.
Metcalf is the man, and I love him,
but he's been a little fortunate.
I think I would want to get a better running back than Swift.
We don't really know what he's going to be the rest of the season.
I hope he just continues to break out, and I'm wrong about this,
but the fact that he plays for the Lions and Matt Patricia is his coach
kind of gives me some pause.
I would personally keep Ridley and Metcalf.
Let's fire through some more here.
From Jim, someone dropped T.Y. Hilton.
Would you add him?
I just picked him up in one league,
but I dropped Robert Tunyon for him as a second tight end.
So, you know, it depends on...
If you're in a three-receiver league,
it's not a bad guy to have on your bench.
But in a two-receiver league, he's not a priority.
Okay, this is from Ryan from the home of the Mudhens,
which would be Toledo.
Dear Craig, Danny, Babe, Jason, Rodney, Bernie, Gary, Clint, Vinnie, Drew,
Tony, Tony, Chad, Steve, John, Randall, Wade, Mark, Matt, Kyle, Brad,
Braden, Andy, and Garrett.
I have no idea.
They look like New York athletes.
Can you tell me again?
Craig, Danny.
I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm kidding.
Okay, let's see.
Oh, yeah.
So the overall question here from Ryan,
who, by the way, said,
Dear Craig, Danny, babe,
should you be making trades for players who have already had their buy
and giving up players who have not had their buy?
Is that something that you do?
I mean, we had this conversation earlier this week about trading Derek,
or who would you rather have, Derek Henry or Christian McCaffrey
because of the games played scenario of factoring McCaffrey's injury,
um,
missed time.
So I think it's something that should come into play,
but it shouldn't be an overriding factor.
I mean,
look,
you don't want to have,
but let's just say,
for example,
you're trading,
uh,
Derek Henry,
right.
And you're getting somebody back.
So you would not have had Henry for his bi-week.
So you don't have your superstar that week.
And then you're not going to have your superstar, whoever
it may be, for another week upcoming. But
it's not something
that's going to deter me from making a trade if I think it's something
to help my roster. I think
if the difference is negligible, then I would
lean towards the player that has already had their bye week.
But if you're actually dropping down
a tier or actual talent
just to get a player who's passed their bye, then I wouldn't do it.
Okay, this is from Jordan.
Hey, Angelica, Eliza, and
Peggy.
I know that one. I had to Google it. You know it?
Of course. It's Hamilton.
Yeah, I've never seen it. Me neither. The Schuyler
Sisters. What's wrong with you guys? My gosh.
That's how you pronounce that? Well, I am glad
I didn't say that out loud.
It's a great song. I'm sure it is.
The question from the Schkeuler sisters,
I probably would have said,
who has a bigger impact down the stretch,
Akers or Fournette?
At this point, I would say Akers.
Bruce Arian, so he's going to play this week.
Bruce Arian said he's going to resume his role
for week number seven.
What does that mean?
Fourth quarter.
Getting water for people?
Yeah.
No, I think Jamie's probably right about Akers having just a more impact,
assuming no injuries take place.
But I think Fournette's upside is higher if Ronald Jones gets hurt
rather than if Daryl Henderson were to get hurt for the Rams,
if that makes sense.
Fair point.
Yep. Yep.
Okay.
How about,
uh,
Jamie's got like three minutes left,
so let's see how many we can get to before then from Nikki.
The guy in last place is getting desperate and offered me McCaffrey for
Todd Gurley and Darren Waller.
I have Evan Ingram on my bench.
Would you give up Gurley and Waller for McCaffrey?
I would. And played tight end roulette.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think I would too.
I would give that like a B minus.
John from Cleveland,
which wide receiver or running back
should I pick up to fill an open bench spot?
And would you drop Michael Gallup
for any of these players?
P. Ryan, Akers, Jeff Wilson and Hasty,
Tony Pollard, McNichols, Snell, Bernard.
So there's some handcuffs available.
Well, Gio, yes.
Oh, yeah, Gio.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Drop Gallup for Gio.
End of question.
David.
Yeah, Snell and P. Ryan.
Oh, wow.
I think if you had said Gio, it would have hit me.
When I see Bernard, I just, I don't know.
It takes me about five minutes to figure out who that is.
David Flint.
I'm debating offering James Robinson for Tyler Lockett.
I have Connor and Camara and their handcuffs.
Would you trade James Robinson for Lockett? it's a very fair deal yeah i mean just
looking at what the i mean robinson has turned into a little bit of a pumpkin lately you know
after the hot start as the jaguars have clearly cooled off offensively the only concern i have
with robinson is uh divino zigbo is in the window now to return and who knows what they're going to
do with him and then you have the other side of this with Lockett with Antonio Brown, if he does sign there, but that's not a
guarantee, but I think it's a very fair deal on paper. You know, you're, you're swapping out a
good running back for a good wide receiver, but if Lockett hits the ceiling, he's going to be
a top five guy. Yeah. I think that makes a lot of sense. Uh, typically when these players are
this close, I tend to lean with the running back. Yes. So I would probably just stick with Robinson
unless you're really desperate for a wide receiver.
Joe from the Pacific Northwest.
Dear Brown, Holmes, Johnson, and Washington.
That would be Steelers.
Steelers wide receivers.
In my dynasty league,
I have Clyde Edwards-Elair and Barkley.
The Le'Veon Bell owner is offering me Le'Veon Bell,
a 2021 first rounder
and two 2021
second rounders for Saquon Barkley.
Should I even consider this?
Man.
I think the answer is yes, you should consider it.
Absolutely should consider it.
Depends where you're at.
Rebuild wise, are you looking to accrue
draft picks because i mean you can get some really big pieces here with a first rounder and two
second round picks right the the other the only side of this that's a little concerning is one
where are these picks going to be you know so if this is a you know playoff title contender
and you're looking at the back end of the first round
because most dynasty drafts don't snake.
So that's something to factor in.
So this guy's going to be good
or this person's going to be good for several years.
Those two second round picks could be not meaningless,
but not exactly impactful.
The other part of it is with how this season
is going for college football,
how the off season could go for the NFL, I wonder how good this this season is going for college football, how the offseason could
go for the NFL.
I wonder how good this rookie class is going to be.
Now, there's going to be some talented players, but, you know, is it the same level of a Saquon
Barkley?
You know, are you getting.
Why?
Why are you?
What does one have to do with the other?
Well, comparing Barkley with his comeback to what a rookie could be next year.
No, I just mean, like, why would this college football season be different
in terms of supplying talent than others?
Well, I just think –
Make it all come back?
Yeah, I just don't know how it's going to go with all the Big Ten
and certainly the guys that were in the Pac-12 that are going to come to the NFL.
Plus, none of them are losing any eligibility.
So every single player can come back without losing any eligibility.
I don't think the elite players are going to do that.
Right. I'm just saying.
It's just something to consider when you're making these dynasty trades.
I would want to know where the draft picks, you know,
is it a top five draft pick or is it a bottom, you know,
eight through 12 pick?
Okay. Well, Jamie, thank you for your time.
Thank you for having me, Frank. It's always a pleasure.
I'm sorry you're stuck with Adam.
Me too. Well, thank you, Jamie. Thank you. having me, Frank. It's always a pleasure. I'm sorry you're stuck with Adam. Me too.
Well, thank you, Jamie. Thank you.
Bye, guys.
All right, let's go start or sit from Jim. A.J. Brown, Robert Woods, Chase Claypool, T. Higgins. I'm going to sit Marquise Brown on his bye. So A.J. Brown, Robert Woods, Claypool, and Higgins. I don't know how many he needs. Who are your two favorites? I will
go with Brown and
I know Woods has a tough matchup.
We spoke about that on Twitch too. Is it
that bad of a matchup against the Bears?
They've only given up one touchdown, but they do give up a lot
of yards. I will go with
Brown and Woods.
From Nick, with Justin Jefferson
on a bye, I had to choose between Devante Freeman
and Christian Kirk. I unfortunately
picked Freeman. However, I did
move him to my RB2 spot
and move David Johnson to my flex.
Should I consider starting Christian
Kirk over David Johnson?
It's a PPR league.
I can see why
because that game could be a
shootout between the Seahawks and Cardinals
and obviously it's PPR,
but I would still lean with David Johnson.
I know he doesn't catch passes,
but it's a really, really good matchup
for him going up against the Packers.
So, David Johnson.
From Anthony,
I need to stream a quarterback this week.
Who should I drop?
Boston Scott, J.K. Dobbins, or Latavius Murray?
Oh, man.
Well, I assume you didn't drop Boston Scott. And in fact,
I hope you used him. If I have to choose between Dobbins and Murray, I would drop Latavius Murray.
Although I don't feel good about it, obviously. From Pace, which two should I start in non-PPR?
Julio, Ridley, McLaurin, and Fuller. Julio, Ridley, McLaurin, and Fuller. Julio Ridley, McLaurin and Fuller. Fire up the Falcons. Yeah.
Yeah, you got it. From AJ
half PPR pick a flex
DeAndre Swift, Tyler Boyd or Allen
Robinson.
I'm still going with Allen Robinson
from Austin
Cam versus San Francisco
Stafford at Atlanta or Big Ben at
Tennessee. Four point per passing
touchdown league. Cam Stafford or Roethlisberger.
We're going right back to the Matthew Stafford.
Well,
he burned me last week.
I started him over Ryan Tannehill in one of my leagues and I hate myself for it,
but it's a new week.
Stafford's going to go off.
All right.
Dustin in Miami.
I need one for flex and non PPR.
Geo DJ.
Chark Debo,
Mike Williams, Josh Kelly,
Latavius Murray.
Gio? Yeah.
From Lewis.
Dear Kenan, Damon, and
Marlon. Oh, I know them.
Oh, those are the Wayans Brothers?
They are the Wayans Brothers.
And what TV show were
they on? The Wayans Brothers. And what TV show were they on?
The Wayans Brothers.
Was that the name of the show?
No, way before that.
Oh, I don't know.
In Living Color.
That's before my time, Adam.
Ever saw it?
No, I've heard of it, of course.
Jim Carrey was on it.
When was that show on, Adam?
90s.
I'm 14 years old.
You were... I wasn't even alive.
I've been listening for two years
and I enjoy the show.
Recently, I started watching on YouTube.
Prior to that, based on their voices,
I envisioned Dave to look like Heath
and Heath to look like Dave.
Would you start Justin Jackson
over Amari Cooper in a half PPR league?
Ooh. That is a good question.
And I wonder what Jamie would say if he's here,
because I know he's very excited about Justin Jackson.
I think he probably would.
I have Justin Jackson at RB17,
and I have Amari Cooper at wide receiver 20.
So that sounds to me like you should probably go with Justin Jackson.
I just yawned on camera and on the air.
And I have to apologize.
That was very unprofessional.
My answers are that boring, huh, Adam?
I was up so late last night because I was fuming after that game.
Obviously, this was Thursday night.
I was fuming.
I could not sleep.
I did not want to sleep.
I was so mad.
It was up to like 2.30 in the morning.
I was furious.
Did you take the Yankees playoff losses bad too?
Oh my God.
Horribly.
I can only imagine the things you said
about our oldest Chapman.
Two years in a row, huh?
Two years in a row.
You know, the thing is,
that was a Friday night.
So I had like a little hissy fit.
Not even really.
For like five minutes.
I got it out of my system and then I watched TV with my wife and I was happy Friday night. So I had like a little hissy fit, not even really for like five minutes. I got it out of my system. And then I watched TV with my wife and I was happy about that.
Um,
so,
but she was fast asleep by the time the giants lost last night.
Uh,
anyway,
uh,
CC Irish says DJ Chark or Justin Jackson,
full PPR.
I will go with Justin Jackson there as well.
Cool.
Well,
that's it for today's show.
Thank you very much,
everybody.
Thanks so much for listening.
Hope you're having a great weekend and good luck on Sunday.
