This is fantasy football today from CBS sports.
What a play!
Can you believe this?
It's a no idea.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Off to the races and he stays on his feet.
It's just going to go the distance.
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
Two quarterbacks, two running backs, five wide receivers and one tight end drafted in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft.
Welcome to Fantasy Football today.
Are the Jets going to have a good offense?
They took Kenyon, Sadiq, and Omar Cooper, Jr.
Are we going to get big-time targets for Carnell Tate on the Titans,
Casey Concepcion on the Browns?
Could Judarian Price on the Seahawks be better than Jeremiah Love on the Cardinals this season?
We're going to, Dave's like, what?
What?
You think it's crazy?
I don't know.
I would, I'm going to defer to Heath, who is the math.
It's putting out odds for things like this.
He did this once upon a time.
It might have been, okay, I don't know if it was on draft night,
but the whole Malik Neighbors versus Brian Thomas Jr.
debate, like what are the odds that the underdog will be better than the favorite?
And I think it's pretty clear that love is the favorite.
So what would the odds be for price to be better than love?
I would say that love is at minus 220.
Yeah, I'd put it there too, which means that we're like a plus 180 or so for price.
Plus 180 was exactly what I was thinking.
I wasn't sure how much extra juice they're charging these days.
I assume with inflation.
Well, Jeddarian Price went with the last pick.
The last pick of the round makes this show a lot more interesting as he goes to the Seattle Seahawks.
In his career, he had 15 catches at Notre Dame, so keep that in mind.
All right.
Anyway, welcome, everybody.
It is Thursday night for us.
30 p.m. Eastern. If you're listening, it's probably Friday. Good morning, Jamie. Or good, good evening, Jamie. How's
going? I'm sure you consider it the morning. So good morning. Yeah, there's a lot to that.
Some other time. All right. There was one news item. George Pickens signed his franchise tender.
The Cowboys said they're not going to negotiate with him for a long-term deal. Interesting. So maybe he'll
just play this year on the franchise tag. And they'll see what happens after that. We have recaps tonight,
obviously tomorrow night or Friday night after rounds two and three and then Saturday after
rounds four through seven.
Let's get to some big questions here.
Who are the first three rookies selected in fantasy drafts?
We're drafting right now.
Jamie, who is the first three?
Redrafts, right?
Yeah, redraft, redraft.
Who are the first three going to be?
Yeah.
Or who am I taking first?
Who's your top three?
My top three would be love, obviously, one.
I would go price two and then lemon three.
I love the price of lemons, too.
Lemon three.
I knew you're going to make some stupid joke about price and lemon and lemon and price, so good job.
I mean, come on.
Lemon three, that's so interesting.
Lemon to the Eagles.
As the Steelers were getting ready to draft Lemon 21st, I believe, the Eagles traded up to 20 with the Cowboys and took Lemon,
snatched them right from the jaws of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
All right, so love, price, lemon.
Dave, how about you?
Why settle for a sour lemon when you can have a sweet tate?
Yeah.
I will go with love first, price second, tate third.
Tate to the Titans fourth overall.
Love to the Cardinals, by the way, in case y'all missed it, third overall.
Heath, we love the price of...
Tate.
Okay.
Love price, Tate.
Lemon, Jamie.
Lemon is your number one wide receiver right now to the Eagles. Obviously, we're expecting
AJ Brown to get traded. Correct. All right. Go ahead. Why? Well, I just think he ends up with
the best quarterback of the group. And I like the situation. Obviously, look, Devante Smith should
be the number one receiver there. But clearly they've made a lot of effort to try and replace
AJ Brown. And not only what they did in terms of the replacements prior to the NFL draft,
trading two fourth round picks, going up to get Mackay Lemon, I thought he slipped in the draft. I thought
the Jets should have taken him instead of taking Sadiq, for example.
But look, he, in the discussion prior to the draft,
I think Dave, was he your number one receiver from not mistaken?
He was.
You know, in the discussion by a lot of draft analysts to be, you know, the top receiver.
And again, just destination to me is fantastic.
So I think Tate's in a great spot.
I think Jordan Tyson's in a great spot.
I think hopefully Casey Concepcion is going to be in a great spot when they figure out their quarterback situation.
Maybe Omar Cooper as well.
but I just think Lemon gets the best quarterback
and probably the best opportunity as well.
You know, 120 plus targets vacated from AJ Brown.
If you really love Marquis Brown and Dantavian Wix
and Elijah Moore and those guys
and are afraid that Lemon's going to have a lot of competition,
that's fine, I get it.
It's very close between him and Tate for me,
but I just think Lemon's in the best spot.
Yeah, I don't know how the Eagles always seem to get the guy that falls.
You know, it's crazy.
They're good at drafting,
GM from a great college.
I mean, I wonder if Lemon fell to 20 because of, you know,
there were the reports that his NFL Combine interviews were horrible.
He's kind of a different guy.
You probably saw, maybe he saw his interview after he got drafted.
He's just, this is a different guy.
But, yeah, I mean, look, the Eagles in four seasons with A.J. Brown,
here's where they ranked in gross passing yards per game.
ninth, 17th, that's really good, then 30th, then 23rd.
They've thrown 24 to 26 touchdown passes all four years, which is solid.
They're usually around 13th or so in touchdown passes,
but they've been very, very run heavy.
So it's kind of interesting.
It's like they run so much.
They've got a quarterback who usually has 10 plus rushing touchdowns a year,
but they do produce good wide receivers.
All right, and Heath, why did you say Carnell Tate as,
number three for you.
So Lemon, Love, Love Price, Tate
for you and Dave.
I mean, first off, I had
Tate as my number one wide receiver
before the draft, and
Tate was drafted fourth overall.
So I, it's not, first off,
I mean, there's just not a lot of reason to change that.
Also, I, well, I think that
Lemon definitely landed with the best
quarterback.
I'm still not sure that the Eagles are going to be a team
that throws more than 510,
520 times. And I do think
Devonte Smith's going to be the clear number one
wide receiver there. And so Tate has a chance to be a number one wide receiver on a team that
might throw 550, 600 times. So for next year and for the long term, I just prefer him. But I agree
that it's close. Okay. Was it tough for you guys to put Judarian Price second on your list, Dave?
No, because he's got a clear path to being Seattle's lead running back to start the year. It's
pretty exciting. And if it's him and Emmanuel Wilson until Zach Charbonnet comes back,
I feel pretty good about drafting somebody like that. Honestly, I'm thinking like round five,
six turn. Let's just get in there. This price is good. The drawbacks to him are that he didn't
play a ton, which I don't know, maybe that's not that big of a drawback, but lack of experience.
And he was outplayed by Jeremiah level. Any running back that's in a backfield,
would love is going to get outplayed by him.
You can see what's going to happen to Connor and Alger this year.
We know that's going to happen.
I think he's a pretty good running back.
Top three back in this draft class for sure.
Was he worth the first rounder?
That's the only thing that I don't know if I agree with,
but who really cares about that?
When it comes to fantasy football,
Super Bowl champs have a good offensive line,
good offense in general.
I think Price is going to be in a position
to get our teams off to a good start.
And that's why I think he's going to be worth taking with the top 60 pick or so.
Last year in the regular
season. Ken Walker was only the number
28 running back per game. He
averaged 11.3 fantasy points
per game. He played 17 games
and he had only... He was sharing with Charbonnet
and Charbonnet was taking all the high...
I'm going to get there.
Yeah, I know. Well, you're making it sound
like it's a terrible spot. I was actually a great...
I was going to make the point that he
did Charbonnet had 12 touchdowns and Walker
only had five, but Walker only also had 31
catches. Heath, go ahead.
No, I just, I think that
it's going to be weird.
with Price because you can't really do a full season projection.
Like there's a chance that he starts the year with this opportunity in the first four to six weeks.
He's awesome.
And Zach Sharbonnet just comes back and is like a true backup running back that's handling 30% of the work.
Yeah. And there's a chance that you get a guy that's a 12 to 13 fantasy point per game guy at the start of the year.
And then Zach Sarbanay comes back and he just has his role.
And price really kind of lets you down in the second half.
might be just a little lower than Dave is,
but I still think a guy who's going to be a starting running back
at the start of the year for redraft purposes
is going to be the second best rookie pick so far.
I think the biggest thing will determine, you know,
when we get to training camp, we get the Charbonnet reports.
You know, so if he's not going to be ready until October, November,
you know, I mean, the longer this gets pushed back,
the higher and maybe out of control, the price ADP ends up going
or he gets priced out, however we won't joke them like.
But, look, there's-
Come on, Jamie, enough with the puns already.
There's, unless I read it, correct,
wrong, like almost 400 total touches vacated from those two guys,
from Sharpenet and Walker.
Like, it's a lot.
Yeah, it is.
You know, so there's just a huge opportunity here.
The new offensive coordinator, Clint Kubiak's gone, as we're well aware.
The new offensive coordinator, Brian Fleury,
was the run game coordinator for San Francisco.
You know the last time the run game coordinator became a play caller?
was Mike McDaniel going from San Francisco to Miami,
and Rahim Moster that year led the NFL in rushing touchdowns.
The following season, Devon A-H-N was a superstar and still going.
So it's a great tree, obviously.
Clearly there's just a huge opportunity for Price.
And so, again, I think if we get Charbonnet early in the season,
then Price is probably not going to be worth a pick in round five or round six.
But I think that's the right range for him if we're looking at it right now
based on when Charbonnet was injured,
which was the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.
Yeah. Okay. And let me ask you real quick. So do you think right now, Judarian Price,
we'll have a better year than what Teterola McMillan had in 2025. He was wide receiver 23 per game. I think he was like 16 overall.
But I just Dave's like, doesn't get anything. The hell kind of comparison is that.
Because I'm saying, I think Carnell Tate is easily a good, you know, a good comp for Tetero-McMillan.
Like he steps into a role where he could have that kind of season.
What's that?
Right.
I know what I'm saying.
You guys ranked Price ahead of Tate and Lemon.
I think that you can make the comparison that Carnell Tate jumps into this, you know,
heavy target role with an unproven quarterback.
But could throw up a season like what we just saw from Teterole McMillan.
I know.
I agree with the comparison completely.
The only thing that holds me back just a little bit on Tate is the fact that Wondell Robinson is there and Brian Davis is there.
And I think that, like, I'm not sure Wondale is going to really matter that much now.
Right.
But he might still get 125 targets.
Did you know he had 140 targets in Malik Neighbors' rookie season too?
Yeah.
Oh, and who's the play caller now in Tennessee?
Yeah, I know it.
They threw a lot.
All right.
Next question.
I thought you were comparing price to McMillan.
No, I was.
I was saying, do you, like, do you think he's going to be better than.
No, he's saying Tate is going to be McMillan, so you have to think the price is going to be better than McMillan to take price over Tate because McMillan is what Tate is going to be.
Dave, this is the Bob Barker showdown.
Do you take what price is right?
I'm going to share my screen and make a little chart to explain Adams.
No, Adam's got a notepad document.
Don't worry.
He's good.
Oh, yeah.
It takes Heath being off the show for a week and a half for him to understand what the hell I'm talking about.
So it's going to have it makes perfect sense now.
All right.
How early?
Thank you.
When are you going to draft Jeremiah Love?
That's the big question.
He goes third overall to the Cardinals, who have 17 running backs.
We're going to talk about that after this break on fantasy football today.
Jeremiah Love, Judarian Price.
When are we drafting them?
We'll be right back with the answers.

All right, Dave.
Jeremiah Love, let's compare him to Harold Fanon Jr.
What are you drafting Jeremiah Love?
I will draft Jeremiah Love ahead of Harold Fanon Jr.
I will draft Jeremiah Love in a full PPR league.
He's a round two pick.
I've got him at 20 right now.
If it's non-PPR, he's going to be closer to 12.
I can't help myself.
I think he's really good.
You like him better in non-PPR than full PPR?
Oh, just running back.
I get it.
No, that's overall.
No, it's the running back thing.
Receivers value, their value goes down, obviously, because the catch just don't count.
No, I get it.
I get it.
And I'm not like, I wouldn't freak out too much over Tyler, Alger and James Connor being there.
And they might take, they might take them off the field 35% of the time.
I wish they had, Love's going to be their dude.
I wish they had more starting offensive linemen than they have starting running backs.
Really nice.
Their line is a problem.
Right.
And that was part of the reason why I didn't think the question of Price being better than Love was so outrageous.
I mean, we've seen a guy in Ashton Genti go to a team with a terrible offensive line
and have the same kind of profile that you look at with Love and Genty.
I mentioned this last week, I think, where they both destroyed bad competition and
struggled against good competition in their last year in college.
And it was a rough year for him for, for Gentie.
I think it was RB 16 per game.
So, but yeah, all right.
So Dave's got him in round two, 20th overall.
Heath, where would you have Jeremiah Love right now?
I was, I'm embarrassed to say.
I was thinking round four.
I'm close to that.
I want to hear it.
I want to hear it.
I'm close to that too, Heath, don't worry.
Wow.
No, I just.
And it may be a little, maybe I'm,
maybe I'm overreacting a little bit to what we just soft matched in Gendi.
But I think he's awesome and was awesome last year also.
And the situation was just so bad that it didn't really matter.
And I think this could be almost worse because, well, I don't think Tyler Alger and James
Connor and Trey Benson and whoever else is still on the roster, like, really matter?
I think they're probably going to have a bigger share of the touches than the backup guys in Las Vegas did last year.
Yeah.
And so if it's less of a workhorse role on an equally bad offensive line and run game,
which is run game was putrid last year, I'm a little nervous.
Not for the long term.
Like I'm still very excited for Dynasty, but I'm a little nervous for this year.
Yeah.
And also, Jeremiah Love is a guy who has three games in his career with 20 or more targets,
or 20 or more carries, part of me.
They were all this year, this past year, whereas Ashton Genty had over 700 carries, I think,
as in college.
So he was used to a big workload.
Love isn't.
So if they want to kind of ease him in, they certainly have an excuse.
All right.
So, Jamie, you said you're close to round four on love?
He's round three for me, but like middle of round three.
So, all right, so that's like Bucky Irving or Jeremiah Love?
Love.
Okay.
I have Love one spot higher.
Josh Jacobs or Love?
Jacobs.
Jacobs.
Kyron Williams or Love?
That's the cutoff for me.
I have him right behind Kyron right now.
Kyron for me.
Love.
Okay.
I think, look, we, I'm hoping, you know, to,
to sort of tie in the receivers as well.
Like, I would love to see the Titans move on from Calvin Ridley just to get rid of that headache.
I'd love to see the Cardinals obviously move on from one of these guys.
Most likely it's going to be James Connor, if anything, maybe Trey Benson.
But, like, if they go in with those guys and the fact that they paid Alger and Conner's resume is still pretty impressive,
it's not like Love is walking into Gentie's role.
And that's the scary part.
Is Gentie walked into that role last year.
Forget about the environment how bad it was.
we thought, okay, he's going to get all this work.
He's a special talent.
He's going to be awesome.
Take him in the first round.
No hesitation, right?
And mistake.
We made the same mistake with Bijan Robinson.
Hey, talk about Tyler Auxer in his rookie season, right?
Bejon Robinson, special talent.
He's awesome.
Here's Arthur Smith.
Let's ruin that guy.
So I think you look at the situation with the Cardinals,
and hopefully it's all Jeremiah love.
Like Dave was saying, you know, like he's going to be the guy.
And I think that's going to be the case to the optimistic view of it.
But we know how NFL coaches are.
If he's not protecting his quarterback that well,
well, there's James Connor still being, you know, useful.
If he's not getting the job done to the goal line,
there's Tyler Algier still getting the opportunities that we saw,
even last year when Bijon was awesome.
So I think Jeremiah Love is worth taking as a borderline number one running back.
I think he's obviously worth taking as a starting fantasy running back.
He obviously has the ability to be a special talent
and be the full point of a Cardinals offense.
Has a lot of really good players.
You know, they're missing an offensive line that is, you know,
standard, let's just say, and clearly the quarterback play is a little bit concerning, especially if,
of all things, you know, 2026, Jacoby Burset is a holdout. But it used to be the, you know, sticking
point throughout the rest of the soft season, and then we'll see what they do the rest of the draft,
and they're trying to find that guy. But it just feels like we've been burned by this top
rookie running back each of the last two seasons. Now this guy walks into another bad situation
in a crowded backfield. Just get one guy out of there. Let's just make it easier on all of us.
get one guy out of there.
And again, Conor makes the most sense.
I think you're just looking at it as if you're excited about him as a talent,
you're going to be excited to draft him in those spot where Dave is talking about.
I think if you're taking the cautious approach, again, just looking at what this rookie running,
what the number one rookie running back has done or lack thereof each of the last two seasons,
take a little bit more of, you know, where Heath and I are probably coming from.
All right.
We have been burned by the last two, Bijon Robinson and Ash and Gentie.
Gentie got the workload that we wanted, though.
But before that, I mean,
it felt like a layup for a guy to be drafted this early
and then be really good in fantasy.
Where was Todd Gurley?
He was late round one, I think, right?
No, I think he was seven.
Top half of round.
Oh, you mean for fantasy?
No, no, no, in the NFL draft.
Why do I think he was 10th?
Well, he was amazing as a rookie.
Ezekiel Elliott.
Early, early.
Ezek was amazing.
Fournett, because he got 23.4 touches per game.
What was he?
He was the 10th overall pick in the 2015 draft.
Okay, so top 10, so Gurley was great.
Zeke was great.
Fournett was, he wasn't great as a player,
but he was the number eight running back per game.
He was a guy.
Yeah, Barclay was the man.
So before that, any running back taken in the top 10
was a shoe, it was a surefire stud,
and then the last two have burned us,
Bijon because of workload,
Genti because of efficiency.
And then, yeah, I mean, that's like, what's the workload going to be for love?
All right, but let's move on to Price, though, so we can talk about the wide receivers as well.
When, Dave, I think you said the five, six turn for Judarian Price.
That's where I've got them right now.
Jamie, how about you?
Same spot.
Heath?
That sounds really good.
Okay, so looking at the last draft we did, the post-free agency draft, or the last draft I was in anyway.
D'Andre Swift was there.
Chuba Hubbard was around there.
Javante Williams was around there.
Jamie, what do you think?
Williams over price, Swift over price, price over Chuba.
Yep.
Okay.
Dave, you agree?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Who gets more work this year?
Price or Swift?
I would say the totality would be in favor of Swift, but it's close.
Just depends on when Charbonnet's coming back.
Right.
If Charbonnet really needs a lot of time, it's going to be price.
So I have done a little bit of projections work.
and I have it at 271 for Price 270 for Swift.
Now, that hurts my feelings because you were obviously doing that while I was speaking.
While you were what?
Speaking.
Just now you're doing the projection work.
No, no, I was doing it during the drift.
Okay.
I thought you said it was hard to do a projection, so I thought you did it in the last 10 minutes.
I was doing it in the 17 minutes from when you texted, I'm going into the room and when you actually showed up on the stream.
Let me just ask you a hypothetical.
just so I get to know how you feel about price.
If Zach Charbonnet were out for the year,
where would you take Judarian Price?
Four or five turn.
I was going to say very close to Jeremiah Love.
Okay.
I would consider putting them ahead of some of the running backs
that we just got done talking about,
Jabante, Swift.
Swift for sure.
Yeah.
That's the middle of round four.
Okay.
Well, that's a silly hypothetical
because I don't think that's going to be the case,
Everything that we're talking about on the show is a silly hypothetical.
Yeah, two more nights of the NFL draft for things to change, right?
Was there a destination that you did not like for fantasy tonight for one of the skill position players?
Jeremy.
Sadiq is the worst one ever.
Yes, that was also awful.
I liked it before they drafted Cooper.
Oh, man.
All you people with Mason Taylor and your dynasty leagues.
bad night for him, I guess.
Maybe.
Remember when Elijah O'Royo killed AJ Barner?
Yeah.
All right.
So, Sadiq, going to the Jets, who also took Omar Cooper Jr.
We like, did we really not like, Jeremiah, love that much?
It's just, again, you know, you're looking at a bad team with a crowded backfield right now.
Like, we said this.
Like, I think when we talked about our favorite destinations for him, it wasn't the Cardinals.
It might have been the Titans.
It was, you know, for me, it was the commanders.
You know, I wanted to see him on a spot where he can just run away with everything and have, you know, at least positive quarterback play.
Like, this is not ideal.
He's still going to be fine.
Like he said, long term, you got to figure that the Cardinals, if they're as bad as they potentially can be, and they could be bad, they get one of the top tier quarterback.
next year and then they have young stud in the backfield.
Hopefully, you know, potential future star quarterback and still a really good receiving
core.
So I think again, you know, like Dave mentioned that the chat's been great tonight.
You know, Jay, Rob, create, it'll be fine.
Yes, it'll absolutely be fine.
Arizona is going to be fine, but it's just not perfect.
And, you know, we wanted perfect.
And none of these situations are obviously perfect.
But like it just feels like when you started to hear,
Cardinals third.
I don't want to see that.
I don't want to see them take love.
Trade out of that spot.
Let somebody else go get them.
And here we are.
I mean,
Price's spot is pretty perfect.
Right.
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah,
yeah.
I think,
you know,
last year we had,
we had a Bucca going to the bucks.
We didn't love that.
I know he ended up being good,
but there were a lot of injuries
that contributed to that.
I don't really think we have that
with the wide receivers at least.
You know,
Tyson going to the Saints is interesting.
there is obviously OLAVey there.
But you've got Tate to the Titans,
you got Tyson to the Saints,
you've got the next guy.
Yeah, then you have Sadiq to the Jets.
And we waited a while until we got our next receiver.
Mackay Lemon to the Eagles,
we've already heard different arguments
for whether that's a good destination or a bad destination.
Jamie likes it a lot.
We're obviously assuming AJ Brown is going to be gone from the Eagles.
You got Casey Concepcion to the Browns.
That's an interesting one.
And people really like him.
He went 24th overall.
This is an A-plus grade from Mike Renner on CBS Sports.com.
Concepcion was the best separator in the entire draft class is what Mike Renner said about him.
But, you know, it's the Browns.
Yes.
And you've got Omar Cooper Jr.
I mean, I guess I don't really love this for Cooper.
No.
Right?
This is not a great one with Wilson.
It's terrible.
Again, this year, no.
Yeah.
But Jets as bad as they are.
They still have three picks in the first round next year.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay, how about who is the biggest?
You know what, actually, I was going to ask you about NFL veterans, but let's not do that.
Let's talk more about the rookies.
What's that?
Without a doubt, Heath.
Tony Pollard.
What about Scataboo?
Number two.
Winners?
I'd put Scatabu ahead of Pollard.
And Jacori Crosky Merritt, number three.
Yes.
Yes.
Those were the winners, by the way.
I don't think you actually said that.
We just gave the answers anyway.
Yeah.
And what was I going to say?
I was wondering if Devante Smith was a winner or a loser or what.
I think at the very least we have a pretty clear evidence that A.J. Brown's going to get traded.
And DeVante Smith has been so good without A.J. Brown.
There haven't been that many games without A.J. Brown.
But let's see, three games that he's played with A.J. Brown, without A.J. Brown, the last three seasons.
10 targets, 10 targets, nine targets for Devante Smith.
That's actually the last two seasons, but that's been it.
And he's been great.
He's been great when he's played without Dallas Goddard.
He's played 17 games without Dallas Goddard, but with A.J. Brown,
and he's averaged a good enough average to be a top 12 wide receiver.
So 17.1 PPR fantasy points per game.
Anyway, that's Devante Smith.
But back to the rookies.
All right.
Let's rank the wide receivers then.
Let's go.
We got, again, let me just pull it up, make sure I don't miss anything.
We got Carnell Tate to the Titans.
He's going to sort by wide receiver.
draft tracker is very cool. It has a grade for every player. You can sort by position.
You can sort by team. Carnel Tate to the Titans, fourth overall. Jordan Tyson, eighth overall to the
Saints. Mackay Lemon, 20th overall to the Eagles. Casey Concepcion, 24th overall to the Browns.
And Omar Cooper Jr. 30th overall to the Jets. Can we put Cooper last? Everybody agree on that?
Yes. Yep. This is a 2026 conversation, by the way, not Dynasty. All right, let's rank the top four then.
Tate Tyson, Lemon, Concepcion.
Heath, you go first.
Tate Tyson, Lemon, Concepcion.
Dave.
Tate Tyson.
Concepcion Lemon.
Jamie.
Lemon.
Teton, Tyson, Concepcion.
Lemon, Tate, Tyson, Concepcion.
All right, let's talk about Cornell Tate and our expectations for him with Tennessee.
Oh, Dave, you can start.
He's an awesome pass catcher.
You start with that.
Good size, big hands, great hands, big catch radius, catches anything near him.
He's not like Malik neighbors stylistically.
Neighbors, you know who's closer to neighbors, at least in terms of speed, is love,
which is part of the reason why I'm so bullish on love is because I just think that that's a differentiator that'll help him out.
But I digress.
Tate should still see in the neighborhood of seven.
in targets per game. I think he'll lead all rookies
in targets per game.
And Cam Ward's no slouch. I do
agree that having Wondale there
is going to stink, but
very, very clear path for Tate
to be either first or second
in terms of targets, should be
right up there, if not a little bit behind Wondale,
but with better efficiency.
And maybe even he finds his way
into the end zone five or six times on top
of it.
Okay.
I think it's as simple
as like if Cam
Ward makes the year two leap and is good,
Carnal Tate could be almost anything.
It could be really good.
Right.
This could be just the home run of all home runs.
But we also don't know if Cam Ward is going to be good.
And there's a risk that the Brian Dable offense has too many Wondale Robinson targets in it.
Jamie, how do you feel about Jordan Tyson to the Saints' eighth overall?
It's a huge opportunity.
You know what I mean?
We talked about this.
the guys after Chris Olave, clearly not inspiring.
And look, if Jordan Tyson stays healthy, that's going to be the knock on him,
you know, until he proves otherwise.
But clearly had a great pre-draft workout.
Clearly, you know, inspired a lot of people, you know, in the NFL draft world that, you know,
I don't know if he was going to go eight.
I think a lot of people thought 10 to the Giants.
But here we are.
And we knew the Saints had a need.
And so it's a great scenario for him if Tyler Shuck takes that year to jump.
And Olave, who's had a hard time staying healthy himself, I mean, if Olave ever misses any time,
but we've seen it with Olavee.
Outplayed two years ago by Rashid Chaheed, you know, so it's not unlike this guy can't come
in and automatically be the number one guy.
I don't think that's going to be the case.
I think we'll still see him be the number two guy, maybe third if, you know,
Joanne Johnson still has a significant role.
But, you know, you're talking about a Kellynmore offense.
Tyler stuck really good, the second half of the season.
It's a big opportunity for him to, you know, be that second guy.
So wouldn't shock me if Tyson's the best of this bunch just based on, you know,
Shuck continuing to mature and, you know, Kellan Moore's offense allowing him to flourish.
Since the 2014 NFL draft, that was one of the best NFL drafts ever for wide receivers.
Not necessarily the guys that went or the first one was Sammy Watkins.
It was good.
But the rest of the class was insane.
Since then, so that's 12 years before, you know, going into.
tonight. There were 16 wide receivers drafted in the top 10, and only five of them
finished top 5, top 24 per game. So five out of 16 wide receivers in the last 12
drafts who were drafted top 10 finished top 24 per game in fantasy. And those five were
Mike Evans, Jamar Chase, Jalen Waddle, Malik Neighbors, and believe it or not, Tetero McMillan,
who was 23rd in a bad year for wide receivers. So, you know, we wrote up a little article
about these guys, these go position players.
I wrote the only one I wrote was on Tyson going to the Saints.
And I kind of felt like because Olavé is there,
because I'm a little concerned about Shuck going the Bo Nix direction,
I feel like he's going to have to be a really special player to be really good for fantasy this year.
You know, I just don't think he's not going to dominate targets like McMillan did.
I think he's going to have to really surprise us like neighbors did or something like that to
that's going to be his path.
He's just going to have to be an awesome player.
Yeah, I think that's probably true.
The one thing I would say that works in his advantages in the Kellynmore offense,
if Tyler Shuck doesn't go backwards and is maybe even a little bit better,
like they only threw 13% of their passes to running backs last year.
It was close to 60% for wide receivers.
And I project them with their almost 600 passes this year.
So there could be an opportunity for Olavé to maybe be at 150 targets.
and there's still 110 or 120 for Jordan Dyson.
Yes, actually in seven seasons as a offensive coordinator or a head coach,
Kellen Moore has produced 10 top 30 wide receivers per game.
He's had multiple years with two top 20 wide receivers per game.
He's been really, really good for wide receivers.
All right, let's take a quick break,
and then we'll talk about Mackay Lemon and Casey Concepcion to Cleveland
and Omar Cooper Jr. to the Jets.
And we'll give you rounds for all of these guys.
We'll be right back.

Things are feeling a little less human these days, aren't they? But isn't the whole point of
progress to make things more human? That's why, at TD, when we design a product, whether it's
an app for making trading easier or monitoring your account for fraud, we ask one simple
question. How does this help people? That's how we're making banking more simple, more seamless,
and more intuitive.
But most importantly,
that's how TD is making thanking more human.
We heard Jamie talk about Mikhail Lemon,
and he's really excited about him.
Right now he's his number one rookie wide receiver for 2026.
Dave, how do you feel about Lemon to the Eagles?
I don't love it as much as Jamie.
I think that he's got a shot to be the number two target getter there.
He probably will be,
thinking it through a little bit.
But Heath nailed it.
This isn't a team that's going to throw a ton.
Even if their defense takes a step back this year,
I still don't think the M.O.
was going to be put the ball in Jalen Hertz's hands and let him throw to win.
I think they almost go back to Saquan a little bit more this year.
And Philadelphia will look a lot like the Philadelphia team that we knew before,
which is one that doesn't throw a lot.
And so I'm worried about the volume.
Did you think, Dave?
watching Lemon, was he more successful over the middle of the field or on the outside?
He was successful everywhere, but definitely over the middle of the field.
He's great for the scheme that they're about to run.
Like, if they're going to do more West Coast stuff and he's going to attack the middle of the
field, he's a really good route runner.
He's got good enough size.
He's thicker than Devante.
He's not necessarily taller, maybe a little bit taller.
But he's going to be a good complimentary weapon.
And I like the fit for the Eagles.
I don't know if I love the fit for fantasy, at least for this year.
That will change if Dallas Goddard somehow wins powerball, goes to Hawaii, doesn't come back.
And now it's a clear path for Lemon to be the number two target getter.
And on top of that, just more volume for both him and Devante Smith.
Goddard had 82 targets in 15 games.
So I think Lemon should get over, I would think over 100 targets.
But to Heath's point, Jalen Hertz has a reputation of not being so good over the middle of the field.
So I do think people will...
I don't even know if it's not being so good.
It's not being so willing.
Right.
Like he just does not like that.
This is a nod to that for sure.
I mean, this is not the catch radius that A.J. Brown has.
It's a very different receiving core of Devante Smith and Mackay Lemon.
Two smaller guys than A.J. Brown for sure.
All right.
And then Casey Concepcion to Cleveland, where he, I mean, is it easy to say?
Well, probably not.
Easy to say he'll be the number one target getter, Mr. Fanon over everyone, Heath?
Well, I think it's hilarious that the team that all year long struggle with drops drafted the elite separator that struggles with drops.
He will, has a great mentor in Jerry Judy.
They're kind of the same guy.
I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that he will lead the team in targets.
I think he's certainly one of the candidates,
and there's a little bit of what I said about Tate that's true about Concepcion.
It's all there for him.
If they could have a decent passing game,
it's just harder to believe that Deshaun Watson or Shador is going to be decent next year than it is Cam Ward.
Okay. Deshawn Watson, in four seasons with Houston,
had the third best passer rating in the NFL or the fourth best maybe.
That guy's long gone, man.
Yeah, right.
I was going to say, how long it was that?
Was he Casey Concepcion in middle school then?
In three seasons with Cleveland, he's had the third worst.
He's one of the worst quarterbacks in the world.
Shadur Sanders actually, I think he averaged about the same yards per attempt
as Jackson Dart and much better than Cam Ward.
You always pretend as a rookie is not going to tell you that much.
But for what it's worth, his biggest issue was just the interceptions.
So his completion rate was under 60%.
That's not good either.
But if you throw it interceptions, those are in touchups through the air.
Some of both the interceptions and the completion percentage were the fact that they could not catch the football.
Do you remember Joe Flacco in that offense last year versus Joe Flacco playing for the Bengals?
Yeah.
I'm just saying if you count interceptions.
perceptions is completions, I bet his completion percentage wouldn't be that bad.
Someone caught it.
Jamie, anything to say about Concepcion?
Just a terrible destination right now.
Again, another team that hopefully has a chance to improve its quarterback situation in
27.
And then we see the best of this.
But again, you're looking at a receiving core that's terrible.
Jerry Judy was as bad as anybody could be in the NFL for what the expectations were in
2025.
And so hopefully, unless he has sort of a resurgence like we saw in 2024,
then you're looking at Concepcion and Harold Fanon as the building blocks of his passing offense.
And Fanon was awesome at the end of the season when he was getting featured.
And I hope that's still the case.
But now there's a little bit more of a guy to target opportunities away.
I think Concepcion, to me, is behind the other three guys and should easily be, at least right now.
We'll see what happens with the rest of the draft.
at best would be fourth of the record.
All right.
And then Heath, Omar Cooper, Jr. going to the Jets.
Pretty gross.
But it's pretty great for Gino.
Like I was thinking in a couple of Dynasty leagues,
I might see if I could trade a second round pick for Gino.
He's got a good set of weapons around him now.
I don't think you're going to see Omar Cooper drafted in the first 10 rounds of a redraft draft.
All right, let's go through when we're drafting these guys.
Give me a round in a 12-team PPR league for Carnell Tate.
Six.
Six.
I've got them in seven.
Okay.
How about Jordan Tyson?
Seven.
Eight.
Seven.
Okay.
Mackay Lemon.
Six just ahead of the other two.
Eight.
Eight, nine turn.
Okay, six, eight, nine.
How about Casey Concepcion?
Nine.
Ten.
I might regret this one.
Put this in pencil at him.
Round eight in full PPR.
Do you think I have a pencil anywhere near me?
You might have a mechanical pencil.
I kind of do.
I do have a pencil?
I feel like you should.
I mean, my kids, you know,
Andrew does
You definitely have crayons
When we do homework with the pencils
I think there's a chance
Conception leads all rookie receivers and targets
That doesn't mean he's going to be efficient with them
But after a fan and what do they really have
And they can scheme him up in a bunch of different ways
Yeah his drop rate isn't going to be great
He'll probably drop 5% of his targets
That sucks
But if he's getting seven plus targets per game
Because the Browns are either going to be trailing
Or competitive in their games
they've done a nice job rebuilding their offensive line.
Maybe conception it'll be okay.
Plus he is the type of receiver when he does catch the football.
And we can't really make it like his hands suck because he's had some bad drops.
The problem with him is that he jumps for the ball like every single time.
And that's not a good thing.
He's got to keep his feet on the ground.
But when he does catch the ball, he does have the speed and the quickness to take it to the house.
There will be explosive plays.
I'm good with him in round.
as a bench receiver, full PPR.
Okay.
So that's Casey Concepcion.
And then finally, Omar Cooper Jr.
What round?
12.
I'm not sure drafting him.
Okay.
So to recap, Carnell Tate, round six or seven.
Jordan Tyson, round seven or eight.
McCoy Lemon, anywhere from round six to the eight, nine turn.
Concepcion, round eight through ten,
Omar Cooper Jr., borderline draftable.
I did have this note just to give you some references.
Every year, you know, we get a.
excited about anybody being drafted into the first round.
What else are we going to do this time of year?
So I was going to look at wide receivers drafted between 20 and 32 in the first round over the last
five seasons, but Abuka was 19th, so I'll go wide receivers drafted from 19 to the end of the
first round.
12 wide receivers have been drafted 19th or later in the last five NFL drafts.
Only three of them averaged more than 11 and a half PPR fantasy points.
per game as rookies.
Five of them averaged 11 or more.
But the three guys who had really good rookie seasons being drafted 19th or later in the
first round in the last five years were Brian Thomas Jr., Zay Flowers, and Jordan Addison.
Yeah, Flowers and Addison were good.
They didn't win you the league or anything.
But Thomas Jr. is the only one who's come out of that range in the last at least five years,
probably longer and been like a league winner for what that's worth.
Abuka averaged, I think, 11.5 PPR fantasy points per game.
Xavier Worthy was at 11.
But we've had guys like Matthew Golden, Xavier Worthy, Ricky Pearsall, Xavier Leggett,
Jackson Smith & Jigba, Quentin Johnston, Zayflower, Jordan Addison, Cadarius, Tony, Rashad Bateman.
All right, tight end, Kenyon, Sadiq to the Jets, Jamie.
Is he worth drafting?
Second tight end with upside, sure.
I mean, you're hopeful that his talent allows him the opportunity to produce, but
I think if anybody was looking at him as the,
looking at him and hoping for the chance to draft him as a starter,
this was not the destination you wanted to see him go to.
So it's, again, long term, hopefully great spot for him.
I think we'll see, you know, hopefully a scenario where he and Mason Taylor can coexist.
Cedique, clearly the draft capital suggests that he should be on the field more
and playing a lot and getting opportunities.
But, you know, you're looking at Garrett Wilson, Omar Cooper.
You know, Sadiq, that's the trio of pastcasters that the debts are going to build
around. I don't think the
quarterback that they're going to be
having success with is on the roster,
you know, based on Gino Smith and where he's at in his
career. So to fully
evaluate him, we'll probably have to see what happens
at the end of the season going into next year and what their
draft stock will be. But I think
for this year, redraft,
you know, see what happens early this season, pick him up off the
way more. Okay. Omar
Cooper, Jr., by the way, he
didn't do anything. Did he play
four years? I think he played four years, right?
It didn't really do much for the first three years.
of his career. They had a great fourth year.
He wasn't terrible in 2024.
Yeah, but he had a big change. He didn't do anything as a freshman, barely played as a
sophomore, played a lot more as a junior, scored seven touchdowns. He had a completely
different role. Yeah. And then last year, he was pretty much a slot receiver for the Hoosiers
and went bonkers. That's what I wanted to bring up. He became a slot receiver, Omar Cooper
Jr. He had a much, much lower A-DOT than he had the previous year. And he had a great
season with Fernando Mendoza.
So I just wonder how that fits in.
You know, Garrett Wilson will play outside.
Cooper in the slot.
Does that hurt Kenyon Sadiq?
How many good tight ends are there that have good slot receiver?
I don't know, you know, a lot of things going on there.
You know, it could be fun if it happens.
If the Jets would trade Mason Taylor to the dolphins.
Oh, that would be fun.
A little homecoming.
Okay.
We haven't talked about the court, the number one pick.
It's the second year in a row where the number one pick feels like no one really cares that
much.
But Fernando Mendoza number one.
And then fun, surprising.
Stupid.
Stupid.
Ty Simpson to the Rams.
You know,
people call the Rams drafts,
trades,
picks like stupid all the time,
and they always see to know what they're doing,
right?
But Dave,
give me your thoughts on the quarterbacks.
Mendoza number one overall,
Ty Simpson,
13th overall to the Rams.
You're not going to draft either
of these guys in redraft leagues.
Mendoza,
maybe you'll pick
up off the waiver wire. It's assuming it's a one QB league. Superflex 2QB, you're definitely
drafting Mendoza, but you're going to be waiting a long time for him to make an impact for your
fantasy squad. I think Mendoza is a good prospect, dude. He's really accurate when he's not
pressured. It's kind of a problem behind that Raiders offensive line. It has gotten better,
but there's still going to be pressure more than your typical NFL team. He'll see a lot of it.
He's not going to play the first half of the year, potentially. It could
be longer, could be shorter.
And the receiving core isn't that great.
It's Bowers and Jalen Naylor, who's kind of an interesting sleeper, I guess.
Don't disrespect Trey Tucker.
I'm disrespecting Trey Tucker.
He's not going to help us in fantasy.
Denzel Boston is available right now.
I mocked them to the Raiders, but I thought they'd trade into round one to do it.
Maybe they can get him in round two.
That would be cool.
That would help out Mendoza.
Adam just saw his chapter tweet with Denzel
Boston has the first name on the list.
I didn't see anything.
What are you talking about?
Well, you think he takes a genius to think that the...
But it's funny, that's the first name that he has on the list,
and that's the first name you say.
I swear I am not looking at any Adam Schaefter tweets.
Raiders have, what, the fourth pick of the round?
Third pick?
Fourth.
It'd be a good selection for them, 100%.
Yeah, but the Niners could use him.
The Bills could use him.
So the Raiders might have to trade up to get Boston.
or they can just get a different receiver.
There's a bunch of good receivers, not great receivers that they could get.
Or they can draft some linemen.
You know what they're going to do.
What are they going to do?
Elijah Surrett.
Yeah, but they don't have to do that in round two.
I don't think.
That'd be cool, though, to have that reunion.
Yeah, so what do we think, Heath, about Ty Simpson and Dynasty?
What I wrote was that if like if you're in a super flex dynasty league and there's a quarterback that goes in round one and it was already a weak rookie class, that guy is going to be a first round pick and rookie dress.
So I think I talked to several people throughout the last month on FFT Dynasty and it seemed like the consensus kind of was that people liked this more for Simpson's dynasty value than being drafted to Arizona or Cleveland or the jets at the end of round one and maybe being forced to.
into a bad situation.
I think he's a number three quarterback.
I think I had him like 31 in my dynasty rankings.
He's probably going to be drafted somewhere between pick eight and pick 11 or 12
and Superflex rookie drafts.
And listen, if you're a guy that maybe needed to sit for a little while and could be a
good game manager and you land with Sean McVeigh and sit behind Matthew Stafford,
that seems like pretty decent opportunity to learn.
It's a great opportunity for him.
And I think the thing you've got to think about when you're drafting him is,
is this it for Stafford or does this get played out for another couple of seasons
because they're still in a good spot?
They're still winning.
He's still having fun, all those things.
He's coming off an MVP season in his late 30s.
It's not unprecedented for him to continue to play well,
especially what we've seen from, you know, Brady and Drew Brees and, you know,
Aaron Rogers, you know, the sliding scale on.
on obviously all those guys.
But I think in terms of what Simpson will eventually inherit,
like that's the thing you're hoping for.
It just feels just so.
And I know they basically use their first round pick on McDuffie,
their second first round pick on McDuffie when they made the trade with the chief.
So they got their player for the president to help their roster
and they got their player for the future.
I just would have liked to see them trade down if they were going to make this move.
Like that's the only reason I don't like it.
It's like Simpson at 13 just feels like a reach.
Okay, speaking of trading down.
The bills traded down, what, three times in the end of the draft,
and they did not make a pick in the second round, in the first round.
That's kind of all I got on the rookies.
Well, how do you feel about the Giants?
They had a good night.
I think they had a great night, you know.
I really didn't want them to take Sunny Stiles.
I just wasn't a Suddy Stiles guy.
But I'm pretty happy about Arvel Reese.
So Ravelle Rees is going to play some linebacker, like outside linebacker,
but not necessarily edge rusher.
and Francisco, for Francis Maui Noah is going to play guard for them.
So it's a little bit risky when you're...
Did you draft an edge to not play edge and a tackle to not play tackle?
That's what I was saying.
You know, it's a little risky moving these guys to different positions.
But Reese has played different positions.
Yes.
I hope he's not Isaiah Simmons.
Maui Noah played every single snap, I believe, at right tackle.
He said he played guard a little bit in practice.
But no, the Giants did, well,
And Scataboo, not only the Scataboo not get Jordan Love,
the Giants might have a good,
Jeremiah Love, pardon me.
Giants might have a good offensive line.
Now, they were missing a right guard,
and they just got one.
He played tackle, but he looks like a guard.
So I liked it for the Giants.
I thought it was great.
Who else did well?
Keith, how do you feel by the Chiefs?
Yeah.
You know, if they just drafted the next,
$100 million corner in four years,
then I think it was a good night.
But if they didn't,
then they probably overpaid.
That they took a menser to Lane out of LSU cornerback.
They traded up from nine to six.
I kind of feel like with what Spags has done with corners over the last decade,
if,
like if he says this guy's worth this,
then you just trust that.
Someone said that Stiles was my guy.
I originally was like get styles and downs,
but then I watched some styles,
just some stuff on YouTube,
and I just like, didn't see it.
I just don't see it with him.
Well, and you've always been so good at recognizing style.
Downs, on the other hand,
as someone I really wanted them to get.
So kudos to the cowboys.
So like the dolphins did something really risky.
The dolphins could have definitely taken Caleb Downs at 11.
But they trade back one spot.
The Cowboys move up and take downs,
and the Dolphins take Caden Proctor,
who's enormous, and I don't think,
sometimes he's enormous,
but I don't think there's been a tackle
that weighs more than 350 pounds.
I don't know what the stat is,
but basically, Caden Proctor's at the weight
where tackles are not good.
And that pick scares me a little bit.
I don't know.
If there was any pick that stood out to you guys,
Ruben Bain.
Good or bad?
Great for the bucks.
Yes.
He could be terrible, though.
I mean, he could be, he could, he's not athletic and he has short arms.
He's not athletic, you know, compared to most defensive.
I love him.
He's in, he's a violent monster.
But, uh, there are concerns.
That's why, otherwise he would have been a top five pick.
Renner loved the pick.
We gave it an A plus.
We got the lions taking an offensive tackle.
We didn't talk about the offensive linemen.
So I guess we can finish with that.
that, sorry.
Okay, so first one off the board was ninth.
Spencer Fanon going to Cleveland, Utah offensive tackle.
Then the Giants took Maui Noah at 10th.
He'll play guard.
The dolphins took Caden Proctor.
He can play guard or tackle.
That was 12th.
The Ravens, remember they lost their center,
so they took an interior offensive lineman.
They could guard Venga, Iowani, Iowane.
Excuse me.
And then the lions took.
Blake Miller, 17th, offensive tackle.
The Panthers took Monroe Freeling, Georgia offensive tackle,
who doesn't need to start right away, according to Mike Runner.
The Steelers were all ready to take Bukai Lemon,
and then they took a guy who's a little green,
Max Ionachor.
Ahanachor.
Ahanachor.
Ihanachor, yeah.
He's only played football for five years.
and then Georgia Tech offensive lineman
Keelan Rutledge goes to Houston
they traded up to get him
he's an interior offensive lineman
and the Patriots at 28th overall
took Caleb Lomu out of Utah
an offensive tackle
do you guys think this changes anything
for
the Brown's offensive line
isn't quite as terrible
might actually be good
two offensive linemen from Utah in the first round
I'm going to say that's the first time
that's ever happened
No idea.
They made David Bailey look terrible.
Did they?
Lessee.
Oh, gosh.
It's the first film I watched of Bailey and he looked pedestrian.
I watched it.
And I told,
I asked somebody,
is this really like,
is this who he is?
Because that guy sucked.
And then I watched other film of Bailey and he was awesome.
I feel like the Jets had a bad draft.
I don't know.
I mean,
look,
if you like Bailey,
you're going to be happy about it.
If you don't,
you would have liked to see them take Reese.
And the Sadiq pick was a little bit of a strange selection.
And obviously Cooper, you know, he could be good, but clearly a lot of people are skeptical of it.
It's just, you know, it's like that Raiders draft when they had three first round picks, too.
It's like, you know, you wanted to see them come away with studs.
And it was like, what?
Mike in our chat says, Jets did great.
I like Bailey, so I don't have the problem with that pick.
It's the other two that are a little.
I thought the Browns had a really good night.
they got an offensive line
and a wide receiver.
They picked up significant draft capital
and moved back
and probably take the guy
they wanted to take a sixth anyway.
People love Concepcion.
So he goes 24th.
It was a good night for Shador Sanders.
Great night for Shador Sanders.
Yep.
Until next year's draft.
All right.
Well, I was going to talk about NFL veterans
that won and lost,
but why don't we save that till later in the week,
especially the Saturday show?
We'll have plenty of, we'll have,
Did we cover that already?
Not really.
We did the winners. We said the rhyme.
We ran through them.
We didn't really expand.
We didn't expand.
And obviously there'll be very consequential picks on Friday.
So we'll talk to you after rounds two and three.
Thanks a lot for watching and listening.
Enjoy your Friday.
Everybody will talk to you soon on Tennessee football team.
