This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports.
What a play!
Can you believe this?
I had no idea.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Off to the races, and he stays on his feet.
He's just going to go the distance.
Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
What's up, everyone?
Welcome to your Thursday edition of Fantasy Football Today.
Adam Azer here with Jamie Isenberg and Heath Cummings.
This is Fantasy Football Today presented by BetMGM,
the sportsbook born in Vegas.
And we've got Jets Patriots tonight,
and now we've got eight AFC home games to take a look at.
Well, seven AFC home games plus Kansas City, Atlanta.
We're going to talk Kansas City, Atlanta,
Chicago at the Colts, Chargers at the Steelers,
Giants at Cleveland, Carolina at Vegas,
Jacksonville at Buffalo, Washington at Cincinnati, Green Bay at Tennessee.
Did you guys notice how few intra-conference games there are?
Very few AFC versus AFC, NFC versus NFC games this week.
I did not notice that.
Isn't that interesting?
I did not notice that.
It's fascinating stuff. Fascinating.
All right, I'm not going to waste any more time.
Let's start talking about the players we love.
Who's our star of the week, Jamie?
Zach Charbonnet.
I've just got to keep my fingers crossed that Ken Walker does not return to play
because otherwise it'll be rewriting it.
But, you know, coming off a strong game last week against New England
from a fantasy perspective, 14 carries, 38 yards and a touchdown,
five catches, 31 yards.
We like his work in the passing game.
But really, this Miami run defense has been awful.
You saw Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby run through them in week one.
In week two, it was James Cook and Ray Davis,
both of those groups going over a hundred yards,
both scoring touchdowns.
In the case of Buffalo, it was multiple touchdowns.
So I think Charbonnet at home against a team that's probably going to be
from a defensive perspective on the field a lot for Miami.
If their offense struggles with Skylar Thompson at our center, Charbonnet is going to get a lot of work. He's going to be from a defensive perspective on the field a lot for Miami if their offense struggles with Skylar Thompson at our center.
Charbonnet is going to get a lot of work.
He's going to be productive.
He's got top 10 upside for this week.
Okay, so who are a few running backs that you'd start Charbonnet over?
I mean, he's ninth for me, so there's a lot.
I would start him over Stevenson tonight, which could be a mistake,
but I would start him over Stevenson.
I would start him over Connor, Aaron Jones.
So you'd have him ahead of Josh Jacobs?
I would start him ahead of Josh Jacobs, yes.
Okay.
All right, Heath, how about you?
Who's a player you love this week?
Rasheed Shahid into just I'm starting him territory
even in two wide receiver leagues.
Leads the Saints to the 23% target share
through the first two weeks.
Has dominated air yards in this offense and i just mostly am trying to believe in the saints
derrick carr is even a borderline top 12 quarterback this week i'm starting rashid
sheet all right so sharpen is facing miami shaheed is facing the philadelphia eagles is he in your top 24 he is okay is he ahead of malik neighbors he is not quite but it's very
close okay neighbors going up against the browns it's someone that we will talk about a little bit
later today obviously you'd start charbonnet over shaheed just to compare the two i would
okay would you start josh jacobs um again i would start josh jacobs i would start shaheed over
london and pickens though. Okay.
All right. So Charbonnet for Jamie. Shahid
for Heath. Let's do some players
to avoid. Jamie, who are we sitting this week?
I would sit Aaron Jones if you can.
Not the easiest matchup
obviously against the
what am I blanking? Against the
Texans. Titans.
Titans. Aaron Jones. Wait. Yeah. what am i blanking against the uh texans um titans titans aaron jones wait yeah
no no i'm sorry anymore yeah my bad i looked at green bay okay sorry yeah against the texans
either way big game yeah and the texans um our dementia is kicking in across the board uh
so i think look you saw last week the downside of Aaron Jones.
Now the fumble changed some things.
I think from a play perspective, he was a little banged up in the game,
but not the best of performances when he was out carried by Ty Chandler.
But really, this Texans run defense has been fantastic through two games.
I think it will be fantastic all season.
And I just don't think this is going to be the type of huge game for Aaron Jones.
Would you start Aaron Jones
or the other running back in that Houston-Minnesota game,
Devin Singletary?
Yeah, there we go.
That's a joke.
That goes there, Joe.
Who are you avoiding?
Jalen Waddell.
He is currently, I think I said on yesterday's show
that he's not in my top 40.
He's actually wide receiver 40 for me.
But I don't really even want to start Jalen Waddell in a three-wide receiver league.
When there's been a backup quarterback, it's mostly been Tyreek Hill's okay
and Jalen Waddell's not okay.
And I just don't trust the volume.
I think it's more targets for HN.
And I don't think there'll be very accurate targets either.
Yeah, and so far, Seattle has been terrific against receivers.
They haven't really been challenged.
They face Denver and New England, but we know they have good cornerbacks.
So they start off the year with Bo Nix, Jacoby Brissett, and Skylar Thompson.
I forget who the team was last year.
There was a team that just kept falling into backup quarterbacks.
I can't remember either, but I remember that was crazy.
You know who's annoying for me like that?
I really want to start this week, and we're going to talk about him at some point,
but it's Jerome Ford because I love the setup for whoever the Browns running back is.
The Giants are giving up, I don't know, 5.8 yards per carry to running back,
something like that, third worst in the NFL.
But, man, in my mind, I thought, okay, they let
Foreman start the game and then they
just transitioned to Ford. But actually in the fourth
quarter of that game, a win
against Jacksonville, a close game,
Foreman had four carries and Ford only had one.
So it's like,
man, it's really frustrating. What are you guys
doing with Jerome Ford this week?
I would start him
as a low- end number two running back
or flex. So I would try to get him in your lineup, but I don't think that Foreman is a bad plug and
play if you're stuck because 15 carries last week or 15, yeah, 15 touches last week compared to eight
for Ford. You wonder if when they're playing with the lead, they're going to prefer a bigger back
to sort of, you know, salt away the win.
And that's probably what's going to happen this week.
So I think Ford is still the,
he still has the higher ceiling of the two,
but it wouldn't surprise me if
he's not as involved in the pass game,
which would suck,
and that Foreman is getting the goal-in opportunities.
All right.

But yeah, 7.30 p.m. tonight, youtube.com slash fantasyfootball today.
If you have any start-sit questions, we'd love to see you there.
News and notes.
Jordan Love practiced.
Holy moly, he might play.
We're going to talk about that game today.
I'm still going to assume it's Malik Willis.
Right?
I mean, if he's practicing, I'm going to expect him to play.
He said he was hopeful to play.
I wouldn't.
Like, if you had two quarterbacks and you had Jordan Love and Aaron Rodgers,
you'd start Rodgers tonight, right?
Yes.
Yeah.
All right.
So we'll see.
That was pretty surprising.
But he was limited.
Would you start Jacoby Brissett?
No.
Well, no.
Unless, I mean, if it was a super flex league
and there's no other quarterbacks available, I guess.
Yeah.
Probably, yeah.
Okay.
Justin Herbert mispracticed.
They don't seem overly concerned about Herbert,
but they're at Pittsburgh this week, and we're hoping Herbert plays.
Running back.
The Dolphins got good news as Jeff Wilson and Raheem Mostert were both limited.
They're at Seattle.
Ken Walker mispracticed, so Zach Charbonnet right now is the start of the week.
Joe Mixon and Damian Pierce mispracticed.
They play for the Texans, and they are at Minnesota this week.
Aaron Jones, who's on Minnesota, was limited in practice.
Should be fine.
Now, listen, I may have said this last week or the week before even,
but guys who miss practice on Wednesday,
certainly guys who are limited on practice on Wednesday,
it's not a huge red flag, especially if it's a veteran.
Obviously, there are different situations.
A guy gets hurt.
If they missed the previous game, it's a big difference.
Yeah, or they got hurt in the previous game.
But if a player just shows up,
it's not practicing on Wednesday,
we don't freak out about it.
Josh Jacobs was limited.
Tajay Spears, he missed practice,
but he says he plans to play.
So Tajay Spears against the Packers.
Okay, a lot of wide receiver notes,
and we've got big names here.
Justin Jefferson, limited in practice.
We're feeling good about that, right?
You ranked Jefferson?
Yep.
Cooper Cup, not being placed on IR yet.
He has a high ankle sprain, not on IR yet.
Cooper Cup.
Jordan Addison, mispracticed.
Nico Collins, mispracticed, but he's expected to be fine.
That's exactly what I'm talking about.
Well, you saw the note on Cup, right?
Maybe.
That they're putting him in a cast to try and reduce the
swelling okay and they're hopeful but the scary part of it is what happens if it doesn't heal
and then they have to put him on ir still yeah what if do you think that people will sign his
cast do you guys ever ever i think it might be just a walking boot.
I've never had a cast.
Oh, I broke my arm when I was a kid.
People signed it.
People signed the cast.
And I was trying to itch it.
It was really itchy.
I got a pencil stuck in there.
I had to get a new cast.
Did anybody write anything mean on it?
What?
Did anyone write anything mean?
No.
Nobody wrote anything mean on it, Heath.
What did you say, Jamie?
According to Schaefter's report,
or excuse me, Rapport's report,
does not specify the type of cast.
Okay, well, I hope he gets a bright orange one
like I did and his friends sign it.
Amon Ross St. Brown practiced in full.
Josh Palmer mispracticed.
Jaden Reed mispracticed.
Jaden Reed and Palmer,
they both ended up playing last week after missing practices. CeeDee Lamb mispracticed. Jaden Reed mispracticed. Jaden Reed and Palmer, they both ended up playing last week after missing practices.
CeeDee Lamb mispracticed.
Doesn't seem serious.
Josh Downs plans to play this week.
Beat the waiver wire.
DK Metcalf mispracticed with a hand injury.
Keenan Allen mispracticed.
Tight end.
Jake Ferguson was limited.
Are you guys ranking Ferguson?
Yes.
Taysom Hill hopes to practice today.
Hopes to be limited in practice today.
Houston put tight end Brevin Jordan on IR,
and David Njoku is likely out this week.
And I will spare you the offensive line
and the defense notes, except Buffalo's defense.
Teron Johnson's out.
Their best cornerback, their slot corner,
and linebacker Terrell Bernard is out.
And it's like, man, I just can't figure out how they're playing so well defensively with all these injuries,
but they're doing a great job there. They get Jacksonville on Monday. Trayvon Diggs
mispractice. I don't think that's anything big. Um, both starting defensive tackles for
the bucks mispractice, Elijah can see and Vita VEA and they get Denver this week. If
you have Matt gay, uh, for the Colts, their kicker, he missed practice.
A couple of injuries in the Baltimore secondary.
Kyle, well, I don't know if I should say Kyle Hamilton's injured,
but he missed practice.
Hopefully he gets back out there today.
And Nate Wiggins, their cornerback, has a concussion.
Marshawn Lattimore, I believe he missed last week's game,
and he was limited in practice.
And the Rams, as if they needed any more injuries,
cornerback Kobe Durant missed practice for them.
So we'll see which injuries really matter.
We'll tell you as we preview the games.

Data sourced from the ORCGA 2023 Dirt Report.
I feel like it's been very business-like, very formal today. How are you guys doing?
I got a great stat for you.
Oh, right. Hit me.
Stat of the day.
This is from Greg Allman, who covers the NFC South for Fox Sports.
He used to cover the Bucs for The Athletic.
No NFL defense has more pass attempts against it this year than the Bucs.
80 in two games.
Tampa Bay is the only defense not to surrender a passing touchdown this year.
Opposing quarterbacks have a 72.3 passer rating,
eighth lowest in the league against them.
I forget who they played week one.
Washington, right? And Detroit. Washington, Detroit. Yeah. Really impressive start for them. They played Detroit. I forget who they played week one. Washington, right?
And Detroit.
Washington, Detroit, yeah.
Yeah.
Really impressive start for them.
By the way,
what was Greg Allman
like in college, Jamie?
He was great.
Oh, okay.
What's your craziest Greg Allman?
No, just kidding.
No.
Greg's older than me,
so we didn't really hang out
very much.
Oh.
Jamie wasn't cool.
Who do you think
was the coolest in college
between the three of us?
Well, we know what you did.
What did I do?
You drove people around.
That's true.
What was the name of your car again?
No, nope.
It won't be that anymore.
I can see Schaefer, by the way, backstage with this look like, oh, I was definitely the coolest.
I think Schaefer was the coolest.
I flunked out of college after one semester. Oh, that was definitely the coolest. I think Schaefer was the coolest, but. I flunked out of college after one semester.
Oh, that was pretty cool.
I had one credit that I received.
I was in a fraternity and it did not go well.
Oh, no.
I, yeah.
One day we need to have story time with Heath.
I just think there's a lot involved.
Yeah, I don't think.
Probably not going to be recorded.
Definitely not going to be broadcast.
If we're doing this job in 20 years
and you're on the edge of retirement...
It's the last day.
All right.
Kansas City at Atlanta.
The only NFC home game we'll be talking about today.
Start or sit Drake London?
Must start receiver. If you start at three,? Must start receiver.
If you start at three, you probably start him.
Okay, so where is he for you, Jamie?
Top 20.
I think I have him 29.
Oh yeah, I say I've got 18th for Jamie.
I did these, yeah, Tuesday, I think,
so they probably changed.
But yeah, London, Jamie's the high guy. Heath's the low guy. Dave's right in the middle, around 24th for Jamie. I did these, yeah, Tuesday, I think, so they probably changed. But, yeah, London, Jamie's the high guy.
Heath's the low guy.
Dave's right in the middle, around 24th on London.
All right, we'll talk about that shortly.
One question for each game.
We go to the Bears and the Colts.
Can you trust a wide receiver in this game?
DJ Moore, especially if Keenan Allen's out.
Starting DJ Moore as long as Keenan Allen's out. Starting DJ Moore as long as Keenan Allen's out.
DJ Moore or Drake London?
Moore.
Moore.
Chargers at Pittsburgh.
Starters at Najee Harris,
who does have the seventh most carries in the league.
37 carries in two games.
Sit if you can.
Flex.
Giants at the Browns.
Can you trust a wide receiver in this game?
I'm starting neighbors.
I would start neighbors.
And I think without Najoku,
I'm going to start Cooper over London as well.
But neighbors is a low end number two.
Cooper's a borderline number two.
And for you,
neighbors is a low end number one or something, right? Who? Neighbors? Am I wrong? Neighbors is a number two. And for you, Jamie, Neighbors is a low-end number one or something, right?
Who?
Neighbors?
Or am I wrong?
Neighbors is a number two receiver.
Neighbors is...
Okay.
Borderline.
He's like 19th for Heath.
What I'm looking at here might not be updated.
12th for Dave and Jamie.
Does that sound right?
In that range, yep.
Okay.
Carolina's at Las Vegas.
Who's a better flex, Zemir White or Deontay Johnson?
You're taking a chance with either one
based on how things have started right now,
so I'll just take the cop out and say it's format dependent.
PPR, I would take Deontay Johnson.
Half PPR, I would probably take Zemir White,
and non-PPR, Zemir White.
I'm going to take Zemir
across the board.
What a look on Heath's face.
Yeah, I didn't
like it.
It's definitely a proven game for Zemir White.
Not so much for Deontay Johnson because I don't think anything's changing
for him, but if Zemir White has another
stinker, we could be seeing a replacement.
Jacksonville's at
Buffalo on Monday.
Can you trust the wide receiver in this game?
There's no must-start, guys.
Who's the best one?
I would still take my chances with Brian Thomas
and hope that he gets more than four targets.
Okay.
Yeah, I've got Thomas at 29, Kirk at 31.
So in a three-wide wide receiver league you're probably
starting those guys I would start Shakira over Kirk all right Washington at Cincinnati is this
a good week for Zach Moss hope so I mean it's obviously a great matchup but will he get enough
work it feels like this is going to be a Joe Burrow game. So who's
the one running in the fourth quarter if they have a lead?
I hope it's Moss. More people are
starting him than Chase Brown.
Green Bay's at Tennessee.
Can you trust the wide receiver in this game?
You're really
doing a great job. I'm starting
Calvin Ridley.
I would start Calvin Ridley also.
The
Packers definitely get more interesting with
Loveback, but
it's a great matchup. I mean, it's a tough
matchup. Great secondary that they're facing.
Joey's
responding to our...
Oh, Jamie is Mr. Cool. I didn't mean to
click on that, but that's... All right, Howard.
Mr. Cool. Mr. Cool. Joey says, Brian, but that's all right, Howard. Mr. Cool.
Mr. Cool.
Joey says Brian Thomas Jr. blow up game incoming.
Just remember the Bills.
They take away the big play.
They do it every single year.
So I'm looking forward to discussing that.
And it's a Gabe Davis revenge game.
Oh, forgot about that.
Schefter just sent this out.
Despite what was projected to be three to-week absence due to his knee injury,
there's a chance that Packers quarterback
Jordan Love can make it back in time
to start Sunday. I wouldn't be surprised if he
plays this week. One source said,
it's definitely day-to-day, like he said, and 50-50 at best
right now.
But he did say that
no matter what happens this week, he's
almost certainly playing next week.
Good.
So back sooner than expected.
Well, then we're definitely going to have to revisit that.
Can you trust the wide receiver in this game?
Question.
But that's the last game we're previewing,
so we'll get to that in a little bit.
Kansas City is at Atlanta.
Start or sit Patrick Mahomes, Heath?
I'm going to start Patrick Mahomes.
Okay.
Are you going to start, you know, Baker Mayfield or Derek Carr?
I am not.
Jamie?
No,
I would start my homes ahead of those guys.
I mean,
look,
Mayfield doesn't have the easiest matchup.
Denver has been,
you know,
good against quarterbacks and probably going to take away his best receiver.
Unless you consider Godwin his best receiver at this point.
So I think my homes has to,
you know, come out throwing in this game.
Like you really expect them to say, okay,
we're going to line up and run Carson Steele and maybe Kareem Hunt 20 times.
I was going to go make a buy low offer on Kelsey yesterday,
but I want you to know that I have integrity because in the league that I
looked, it was a guy who's never played fantasy before.
So I just, I'm like not going to trade with him.
That'd be kind of, why not?
Because you're helping him out. I believe everyone's going to trade with him. Why not? You might be helping him out.
Everyone's going to be like, oh, the fantasy analyst
just traded with the guy who's...
What were you going to offer?
I didn't even get that far.
Pull up your lineup. Let's see. What would you have offered?
I was going to offer something like
Trey McBride and Calvin Ridley
for Travis Kelsey and his
best receiver.
Oh, the scenario you brought up yesterday.
Yeah, yeah.
The thing that you didn't know, but you asked us about yesterday,
and you just miraculously couldn't remember what the tradeoff was.
No, no, no.
This was after we had that discussion.
But that's the scenario you were thinking of.
Yeah, that was the scenario I was thinking of.
Yeah, yeah.
I think a good scenario. But I thought Which is, I think, a good scenario.
But I thought it was in bad taste.
In bad taste.
If you're giving him Trey McBride and Calvin Ridley for Kelsey and...
Unless it's like...
I don't even know who it was.
A top-tier receiver.
That's not a bad trade offer.
I don't want people to think I'm taking advantage.
I think you're losing, potentially.
I could be, but...
What'd you say, Heath?
What if it was Garrett Wilson?
You know, it might have been, actually.
It might have been.
Anyway, what are we doing with the Chiefs running backs this week?
Pick your favorite one and flex it best.
For me, it's Carson Steele.
Carson Steele is a high-end flex.
Samaj AP Ryan's a mid-range flex.
I'd rather not with both. I'd start Samaj AP Ryan's a mid-range flex. I'd rather not with both.
I'd start Samaj AP Ryan over any Chiefs running back.
Or not Samaj, Samir White over any Chiefs running back.
Samaj AP Ryan is a Chiefs running back.
There we go.
We've all made our mistake.
Okay, his best receiver is Tyreek Hill.
So if I offered McBride and Ridley for Hill and Kelsey,
what do you think about that?
That's a bad trade.
That's right.
I can't do that.
I can't do that.
Who's the second best receiver?
Deontay Johnson.
Like I said, it's not a good team.
It's not a good team.
Do you have anybody better than Ridley that's not Tyreek Hill?
I have Amon Ross St. Brown and Terry McLaurin.
Yeah, this is a bad mix.
Yeah, exactly. Why don't you offer McLaurin, McBr Brown, and Terry McLaurin. Yeah, this is a bad mix. Yeah, exactly.
Why don't you offer McLaurin, McBride, and Ridley
for Kelsey, Tyreek Hill, and Deontay Johnson?
I don't know.
All right, I could do that.
All right, so their flexes at best.
Rashid Shaheed over a Chiefs running back?
Yes.
Yep.
Okay.
Start Rashid Rice. Any interest ins running back? Yes. Yep. Okay. Start Rashid Rice.
Any interest in Xavier Worthy this week?
No.
Third receiver, dart throw.
How about Worthy versus a Chiefs running back?
Steel.
Probably.
Unless they activate Kareem Hunt,
I would take my chances with either Steele or Piran.
Okay.
Travis, Kelsey, we're starting.
No streamers, you'd start over, Kelsey.
Is this the full breakdown of the game
or just the one question?
This is the full breakdown.
What do you mean?
Jamie thought we were still on the one question.
No, this is the full breakdown of the game.
Oh, okay.
I thought we were.
Oh, no, we're past one question for each game.
All right, let's go to Atlanta.
Kirk Cousins, sit, right?
In one quarterback leagues, yes.
Yeah.
All right.
Would you go with Deshaun Watson or Kirk Cousins
if you had to make that horrible decision?
The guy playing the Giants.
That's Des's Sean Watson.
All right, start Bijan Robinson.
Drake London.
So Trent McDuffie did not shadow Jamar Chase.
I was actually pretty surprised how many different looks Jamar Chase saw.
Cornerback Jalen Watson was on him a lot.
I thought he did a pretty good job.
And so far, we've had Zay Flowers, six catches
for 37
yards on 10 targets.
Jamar Chase, four catches for
35 yards on five
targets. Is that really what he did?
Yoshivas caught two touchdowns.
But anyway, the Chiefs have been really tough
against wide receivers. So, come on.
Convince me, because I'm not really buying
it. Convince me that Drake
London should be in the top 24. Well, first off, we're in a week where there's a lot of
top tier receivers missing. This game, in my opinion, is going to be a high scoring affair.
I do think that as Cousins gets more comfortable, which seemingly took a big step last week against
the Eagles, that's only going to benefit everybody in Atlanta.
And we'll start to see a little bit more from Drake London.
So I,
I totally understand if you're not buying seven targets in the last second touchdown on a play that may not have happened,
had Saquon Barkley made the catch,
but the play happened,
the production was there.
And if seven targets to me is the floor,
I think we're going to start to see a little bit more coming from Drake
London.
So if you have better options in your lineup,
you want to start to eat over him.
I'm fine with that.
You know,
he's been great.
You know,
you want to get to the point of starting.
I don't know who,
who you have Heath ahead of him.
That was like drafted significantly after him,
like Jameson Williams.
You want to start him over him?
Great.
He's been awesome.
Those types of players.
Sure.
But for me,
I'm still going to draft.
I'm still going to start the guy that i drafted
in the first two or three rounds and hope that last week was the jumping off point as opposed
to just a fluke i think that the chiefs gave like well they didn't put mcduffie on chase all day
they did double chase a lot yes yes they did and i don't know that they'll look at this falcons
offense and think that they need to double Drake Lennon.
I'm not sure that he's done enough that would cause them to want to do that.
So that might be the way that...
Oh, they're stopping the run.
If they don't follow London with McDuffie and they don't double him,
then that's the way that he has a good day, probably.
Okay, Atlanta.
Oh, Darnell Mooney.
Any interest in Darnell Mooney?
Yes, in three or zero leagues absolutely he's right there with worthy for me okay uh kyle pitt start or sit start start i've given up a billion points to tight ends if he struggles here i feel
like people are going to drop him for sure yeah. Yeah. Understandably. By the way,
he was open for a touchdown in this
last game against the Eagles.
Kirk Cousins didn't see him. It wasn't
a bad play, but that happens a lot.
But yeah, just
for whatever it's worth, he made a good move and was open for
a touchdown. Kansas City allowing the most
fantasy points to tight ends.
And then the Chiefs DST,
kind of low-end startery.
They haven't really been
great for fantasy other
than the touchdown they
scored against Cincinnati.
People might have, if
you have any questions
about this game, I think
I saw London or Pickens.
London or Pickens?
Pickens for me.
I have Pickens one
spot higher.
London or Metcalf?
Metcalf.
Yeah.
Kirk Cousins or Gardner
Minshew?
Cousins. I think Minshew? Cousins.
I think I have Minshew higher.
London or Amari Cooper?
Sorry.
London for me.
Cooper for me.
All right.
And let's go to our next game, which is Chicago at the Colts.
Might struggle with the forward pass in this game.
Stat of the game, a running back has 30 or more carries
and 150 or more yards in each of the first two games against the Colts.
That would be Joe Mixon and Josh Jacobs.
They've lost to Forrest Buckner.
Their defense is really beat up.
So this is by far the easiest matchup that the Bears are going to have so far this year through their first three games.
So, you know, the Bears, Jamie, they haven't really been a high-scoring team.
Over under here is 43.5, so they're projected to score about 22 points.
They're one-point dogs.
What do you think?
You think we're going to get finally some production from these guys?
I do.
I mean, you know, the first two weeks were relatively awful.
You know, you had a rookie making his first start against the team, like we said a few times in the last several weeks.
And we'll continue to say this Titans defense has dramatically improved and has shown that through the first two weeks of the season,
comparatively to where they were a year ago.
And then they had to go play Houston in Houston.
You know, so those were not easy matchups.
You know, it might have looked like it with with the Titans but clearly not the case
so now you get the Colts this should be a much easier game for DeAndre Swift so he is a borderline
starter this should be a much better game script and game flow for Caleb Williams so if you are
stuck at quarterback you know you lost Tua and somebody dropped Williams, I wouldn't be
opposed to him. I have other guys I like better, but
top 20.
And if they're down, this should be
the best game because this isn't exactly
the toughest of secondaries.
And Romo Dundee
is a
flyer if you're
stuck. So
just keep an eye on the receiving situation but yes
this should be the best bears offensive game all season is it my connection or is it jamie's
connection heath i believe it i believe it is jamie's unfortunately i got most of that what
yes but i understood yeah but yeah uh all right so i'm going to go to Heath for just a little bit until Jamie clears up here.
Caleb Williams.
We still have to sit.
Caleb Williams on throws of 10 or more air yards.
I'm not,
not,
not a lot of the air yards here,
10 or more air yards.
He is four of 18 for 65 yards,
no touchdowns,
two interceptions on throws of 10 or more air yards.
His off target rate is 33%.
He has been so bad.
I watched all these throws.
You couldn't come into any,
like it's worse than I even thought.
Yeah.
It's been so bad.
Um,
it's,
it's a calm.
Yeah.
It's a combination.
Like the offense doesn't look good.
The players don't look good.
This is the matchup that should make up for that.
Um, I, I, I thought DeAndre Swift the other day
is running the third fewest stacked boxes in the NFL
and is averaging two yards per carry
and fewer yards per touch than Ezekiel Elliott.
The only bear that I'm starting is DJ Moore.
But I think that you can make a very good argument that the colts run defense is worse than the bears run offense and so if you wanted to
start swift as a number two i would understand that i just i don't have any faith in the bears
right now how do you change your your outlook for more if keenan allen plays
more would fall into a a uh high end number three probably jamie i would probably still start him
it it clearly something's going on with keenan allen that he missed the game and then it's still
missing practice so it's not like uh despite the fact that keenan allen dominated targets in the first
game that they didn't go to dj more as well so i still think more is the safer of the bears trio
and i i would just buy into this game that this is going to be best of bears so far this season
okay and uh you know swift just not to go on a tangent here but he's reminding me a little bit
of someone.
Because last year, I remember a free agent running back who had been very efficient in his career, had a great role, wasn't really coming off the field, but got off to a slow start.
And I was like, yeah, you should buy low on him.
And he'll get better.
The matchups are going to get better.
It was Miles Sanders.
That's who you were thinking of, too?
Yep.
I hope it's not that, but
so far, so bad for
DeAndre Swift.
I mean, is he even averaging two yards per carry?
I don't think he is.
No. That's crazy.
You're starting to get some rumblings
that they should play Khalil Herbert more.
All right, well,
you know what? Pick him up then.
Pick up Khalil Herbert.
You never know what happens.
Oh, Sid Colcomet.
Anthony Richardson.
Any hesitation going back to Richardson after last week?
There's nobody who didn't draft to the starter
that I would start over him.
So he's a top seven or eight quarterback.
You're not starting Baker or Carr or any of those guys over him.
I guess if you did that thing where you drafted two of the exciting young running quarterbacks,
I've got Richardson over Jaden Daniels too.
So no, I'm starting Richardson.
Start Jonathan Taylor, although in full PPR,
he's not a top 12 running back.
Would you start Charbonnet or Taylor?
Charbonnet.
Charbonnet.
Interesting.
Okay.
Just even in half PPR?
No, in non-PPR, I would start Taylor.
What, half?
Half, I would probably still start Taylor.
Okay.
Yeah, Taylor had
four targets at Green Bay.
Two catches.
He can't pass protect apparently, so that's
frustrating.
What a stupid thing to say.
What do we think about...
I didn't know. Who said that?
The Colts.
Their coach said that?
I believe Shane Steichen said that
they weren't,
they weren't going to use him in pass protection in those situations. I can find the quote.
Yeah, yeah, actually. Okay, Heath, the Colts wide receivers, Pittman, Pierce, Mitchell,
whatever, wide receivers against Chicago so far. Nico Collins has destroyed them. Other than that, they've been pretty good. Yeah. Pittman is
a high end number three, low end number two for me, high around 24, 25. Pierce is just a dart throw
as is Downs, but I agree with your sentiment that we should definitely add Josh Downs. It'll be very
interesting to see. I don't know that we'll see it this week if down's going to play a full complement of snaps in his first game back but when he gets all the way back which who who's
losing playing time because i think somebody said in the comments yesterday like you guys haven't
mentioned a pure alec pierce at all yeah and it's probably a fair fair comment um but i think we've
all just kind of expected that when josh downs comes back alec pierce doesn't really matter
it'd be interesting to see actually i don't know who's playing in the slot for them is it pierce but I think we've all just kind of expected that when Josh Downs comes back, Alec Pierce doesn't really matter.
It'd be interesting to see.
Actually, I don't know who's playing in the slot for them.
Is it Pierce or is it Mitchell?
Because I would have thought Mitchell would be the guy that suffered when Josh Downs came back.
I would think they both suffer.
I don't think they're going to bench Mitchell.
Okay.
And Jamie, you're lower on Pittman.
You have him as a number, like a low end number three.
I'm not starting Pittman until I see something from him.
And this Bears secondary is great.
Okay, let's see.
It's who's got the highest slot percentage?
Here's what he said.
I don't know why Mitchell by far.
I think in that fourth quarter, we were throwing the football and we don't,
we weren't really scheming up passes for the running backs there in the fourth
quarter when we were throwing it.
So we had Trey in there and I thought he did a good job.
I thought I saw something about pass protection.
That's pretty annoying though. Oh, I'm sorry. It was in this story.
One of the latest examples of Taylor failing as a
pass protector came in the first quarter when he
whiffed on a block attempt.
Damn, that's annoying. So maybe it was the writer alluding to it.
I'm sorry. Alright, so the Bears DST
Jamie has them as a start. Heath has them as
a sit. And their matchups are great coming
up if you want to pick them up. Okay.
We're going to take a break.
We got the Chargers and the Steelers.
You know, it's a pretty big game
against a couple of 2-0 teams.
Chargers are 2-0?
Yeah.
Nailed it.
Okay, great.
And we'll talk about that when we come back.
We'll go right to a question to start this one
as we talk about the Chargers and the Steelers.
Caleb Williams or Justin Herbert?
Caleb Williams. Yeah, I think so. Okay. So these teams, Chargers and Steelers,
they've allowed the fewest points in the NFL. The Steelers have scored one touchdown this season. I
don't think they've turned the ball over this season. Their run defense has been great. Bijan
Robinson averaged 3.8 yards per carry. Javante Williams, 1.6 yards per carry.
But they did give up a lot in the passing game.
Five catches for 43 or more yards to both B. John and Javante.
I don't know.
Dobbins is their passing downs back,
so I don't know if that helps him or not, but hopefully it does.
Okay, so we're sitting Herbert.
Let's talk about J.K. Dobbins.
Heath, how excited are you for J.K. Dobbins,
who's currently the number three running back in non-PPR,
the number five running back in full PPR,
averaging a solid 9.9 yards per carry?
That is like five times what DeAndre Swift is averaging.
Low-end RB2. I want to see it against a defense that's not the Raiders or the Panthers.
But you're probably
like, how could you sit him
after what you've seen the first couple of weeks?
But I don't, I'm
not super excited for like a smash week. I'm
probably not somebody I'm playing in DFS.
Is this
a crazy question? Would you start
Mike Evans or you go against
Sertan or JK
Dobbins?
I probably lean Evans and PPR,
but I'm not a big Evans guy this week.
Evans and PPR, Dobbins and the other two, I'd say.
Would you start Dobbins or DJ Moore?
Moore and PPR, Dobbins and the other two.
Yeah, same.
I like Moore better than Evans.
Okay.
And Dobbins ahead of,
just to stick in this game,
ahead of Najee Harris, right?
Oh, yeah.
Yes.
All right.
Chargers wide receivers. Are any of them in your top 36?
No.
No.
And who's your favorite?
McConkie.
Yeah, for at least one more week.
Quentin Johnston is now 77% rostered.
I'm just thinking, do you think that DJ Chark will eventually...
Do you think Quentin Johnston has a chance to just win the job?
Because Chark's on IR right now.
I would hope he's won the job already.
This isn't Puka Nakua coming back to take away,
you know,
jobs from Tyler Johnson.
Like this is the guy that they drafted.
I know it's a different regime,
but still this is,
this is a,
you know,
he said it yesterday on,
on CBS sports network,
you know,
you don't 20,
20 some odd young player who was a former first round pick.
Like this is the type of guy you invest in.
If you're the chargers and hope that this new coaching staff and,
and the opportunity is now unlocking what the potential could be.
All right.
Any interest in Justin Fields this week?
Not really.
Desperation play.
Am I a bad person for rooting against him?
Because you want Russell to help the receivers.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Big time.
I mean,
he's been good for,
he's been good for a Pickens.
He has,
he's thrown,
he's thrown 43 passes in two games.
So that's just,
that's no good.
But what's the target share?
Right.
But like Pickens has sweat 20 fantasy points on the season.
Well,
he had about 11,
about 25%.
He's,
he's had,
he's had some pretty tough cornerback matchups. I mean, you know, AJ Terrell
is no slouch. And then last week
Sertan. Like, this
feels... I'm
expecting better than week one.
13.5 fantasy points for Pickens
in week one. He had six catches for 85 yards
on seven targets. He's also...
If I had to guess, Pickens is probably
leading the league in receiving yards called back on penalties.
Where did he lose a point?
What's that?
Where did he lose a point?
Well, six for 85 is not 13 and a half.
It's 14 and a half.
Then I either, I don't know.
It is 14 and a half,
but maybe I typed it in wrong.
He had six...
Yeah, he had six for 85.
It says 13.5.
How is it possible?
That's what our website says.
Oh, he probably had like negative 10 rushing yards.
He did have negative 10 rushing yards.
All right, CBS for the win.
I forgot about that.
You guys go ahead.
Talk about George Pickens. All right, CBS for the week. I forgot about that. Yeah. You guys go ahead. Talk about George Pickens.
I think, again,
he's faced two tough matchups
in the first two weeks.
The first one he was able to overcome.
The second one, not so much.
Good luck, Mike Evans, this week.
So I think we're going to see Pickens
have a much better opportunity here.
Better opportunity here.
Yeah, and I'm just a little bit concerned
that Justin Fields is
not going to be able to get him the ball enough, and I think
the Chargers defense might be a really good one as
well. It's
a tough start in terms of
matchups for Pickens to the start of the year for sure.
He's a boom bust, like
high-end number three wide receiver for me. Like I said,
I'd start him over London. I'd start him over a lot
of guys we've been starting.
I don't hear Adam yeah oh i was muted i was muted there's definitely some technical difficulties i don't think it's your fault i think it i think it
was uh maybe something else okay but you can hear me now yep adam was interrupted by the klingons
that may have been the problem here.
Any thoughts on...
Have you worn that shirt again?
No, I haven't.
I don't think I will ever wear it again.
Maybe around the house.
So, sorry.
Najee Harris, Pat Fryermuth.
Just listen to this.
Najee is a flex at best.
I don't like the fact that he played fewer snaps than Jalen Warren last week.
And Fryermuth is a desperation play.
Yeah.
Najee's a flex. I think that's the right
way to say it. I'm having a hard time even
getting excited about Fryermuth as a desperation
play, but that's exactly
what he is. He's a tight end too.
I don't know that there's anything
more exciting to say about this game.
Yeah.
What game are we supposed to go to next, Thomas?
I've got it.
We're going to the Giants.
We're going to the Browns.
The stat of the game, the Giants are allowing 5.8 yards per carry to running backs,
the third worst in the NFL, and we have no idea who's going to lead the Browns in rush attempts
because week one it was Jerome Ford.
Week two was Deontay Foreman.
Are you starting either one of these guys, Jamie?
I would start Ford as a low-end, number two running back, high-end flex.
I think he's still got too much upside to avoid in this matchup.
So if he gets out-touched again completely, then we have a real big problem.
If he's not involved in the passing game, then we have a real big problem.
And you can see both of those things happening because the Giants are so bad. So they could
run all over them potentially as Brian Robinson did last week. But I think in terms of what
his upside play is still there, like I'm still going to start him as, as a number two running
back again, or flex and Foreman is a good dart throw, you know, Giants are bad.
I was so disappointed to see deontay foreman start that
game even more disappointed that deontay foreman was i guess the only person i won on waivers
in any league and i got him in every league for like three dollars and i just hope he doesn't
matter adam is back instead of the game number two yeah i don't know i'm back for now we'll see
if this works you guys hear me we're good yeah you're good. I come in and one of the first things I hear is,
Giants are bad.
So thanks.
Yeah, that's true.
Among the 52 wide receivers with 10 or more targets,
Amari Cooper is averaging by far the fewest yards per target.
1.59 yards per target.
Keenan Allen's second worst at 2.64.
But Cooper is 14th in targets.
And this is the type of stat that through two weeks,
I mostly just think it's probably noise.
Um,
it's probably just a bad stretch,
a couple of drops.
If it happens a third week,
then I get more concerned about it,
but especially with David Najoku,
not expected to play and in a great matchup against the giants,
100% starting
Amari Cooper I haven't got it ranked quite yet that way yet but he will be inside of my top 20
wide receivers this is a guy that I would start over of course Michael Pittman but Drake London
George Pickens and I would even start Cooper in this game over Malik neighbors yeah neighbors
going up against the Browns. Now they're not
going to shadow him with Denzel Ward on probably they don't usually do that, but they held CD lamb
10 targets for CD lamb, five catches for 61 yards. Uh, the, you know, Brian Thomas had a big catch,
but other than that, the Jaguars receivers were terrible. And they gave up the third fewest
fantasy points to wide receivers last year. This is Cleveland. So you have neighbors of more like
20th and Heath and Dave, sorry, Dave and Jamie have them around 12 Cleveland. So you have neighbors of more like 20th and Heath and Dave,
sorry, Dave and Jamie
have him around 12th.
So that's kind of
an interesting debate there.
I would say that
in terms of Cooper,
I don't, I mean,
I think it's probably
a good matchup,
but the Giants will probably
have Deontay Banks
shadowing him.
And he's not terrible.
He's like the rest of the team.
You know, like did a good job
on McLaurin.
Who did they have in week one?
That was Justin Jefferson.
Four catches, 59 yards, and a touchdown on six targets.
So I don't know if it's that easy of a matchup for Cooper.
That's my only hesitation here.
You know, like it's not like Washington, in my opinion.
All right. No, it's 100%. I don't think there's anything's not like Washington, in my opinion. But all right.
No, it's 100%.
I don't think there's anything that's like Washington.
The closest thing to Washington is Carolina.
And it's not the Giants.
All right.
Deshaun Watson's like 18th for you, 19th for Jamie.
And you already talked about the running backs, right?
We talked about the running backs on the Browns.
We didn't talk about Devin Singletary.
I would start Jerome Ford over Devin Singletary.
I would start Devin Singletary over Deontay Foreman.
I think Singletary is a decent flex,
but it is probably not a great matchup.
I mean, the good thing about Singletary,
he's played 79% of the snaps last week.
He gets all the carries and he splits third down work.
So you've got that going for him,
but obviously we know he's not super exciting.
Would you start...
Well, who's starting Devin Singletary?
If you have any questions about Singletary, then...
Oh, how about like Jerry Judy or Devin Singletary?
I would start Singletary over Judy.
Here's a question.
Wandale or Sutton? I would start Sutletary over Judy. Here's a question. Wandale or Sutton?
I would start Sutton over Wandale.
Jerry Judy or Jalen Waddell from the chat?
Yeah, that one's really close, which is really gross.
But I would still start Waddell over Jerry Judy.
Tank Dell or Amari Cooper?
I will go with Cooper over Dell.
Drake London or Malik Neighbors? I will go with Cooper over Dell. Drake London or Malik Neighbors?
I will go with Neighbors over London.
Someone's saying Amari Cooper is washed.
Someone's saying Cooper is not washed.
Watched his film last game.
He's cooking on his route.
And he still gets open.
He still makes great moves.
I don't think he's washed up.
I just don't understand why nobody says washed up anymore.
Start Cleveland's DST.
They are top two for everyone.
Carolina's at Las Vegas.
The Raiders, it's out of the game.
The Raiders are number one in pass rate.
And they're number two.
This is exactly the opposite of what I expected.
I know.
They're number two in pass rate in the first half.
It hasn't even been a game script thing.
They just can't run the ball.
They're going to try to do that.
So they said they want to try to run the ball in this game against Carolina.
That's what teams do against Carolina.
How do you see this game playing out for the Raiders?
I think that you start Devontae Adams.
You start Brock Bowers.
Zamir White is a borderline RB2.
Gardner Minshew is a high-end QB2.
I think the Raiders do whatever
they want, probably score 30 points. Um, I don't want to start Jacoby Myers. I just want to stash
Alexander Madison. Any interest in Chuba Hubbard in this game? He is in that flex range. I think
I've got him just behind Carson steel. I would start him over Deontay Foreman,
who we talked about, his former teammate.
I would start him over the Cowboys running backs
or over, I'd start him over like the Jalen Warrens
of the world.
Okay, but not over Zemir White.
I would start Zemir White over,
and I would start Zemir White over DeAndre Swift too, but I would start Zamir White over. And I would start Zamir White
over DeAndre Swift, too.
But I would start Swift over Chuba.
And earlier you said
that you would start
Zamir White over Deontay Johnson, right?
That is accurate.
And I think Jamie said
he'd start Johnson ahead of him
only in full PPR
ahead of Zamir White.
Right.
Johnson's 78% rostered
last I checked.
I don't think I checked today,
but actually I do think
I checked today.
I think he's 78% rostered and you can. I don't think I checked today, but actually I do think I checked today. I think he's 78% rostered
and you can see if he's available in your leagues,
which means if he's 78% rostered.
Him and, yeah, him and Court.
Oh, good.
That's all right.
Him and Courtland Sutton are two guys
that I've seen show up on the drop list this week
in several of my leagues.
I think you picked Sutton back up in one of those leagues,
but those are two guys who were wide receiver threes the beginning of the year that I think probably will still be wide receiver
threes. Don't let them be on the waiver wire. Yeah. And what's interesting is that Johnson,
I think on Tuesday, when we, when we did the waiver wire show, we had the news of Andy Dalton
starting, he was 80% rostered. So people actually continued to drop him. Uh, all right. Minshew is,
you know, a low end, not, not a low end starter. He's like 17th, I think, for Heath, 22nd
for Jamie. Jamie, by the way, hopped off the stream
just for a minute, so I'm not ignoring
him. Any hesitation with
Devontae Adams?
Not against this defense.
I've not really changed
my full-season outlook on him all that much,
but I think against the Panthers would be fine.
The only way I see him running into problems
is if they decide to run it 30 times.
And Brock Bowers or Travis Kelsey
this week? Bowers.
All right. And let's see. I got
one
from the chat.
Chuba Hubbard or Cortland Sutton?
I would go
with Chuba in that
situation. All right. Let's go to our next
game. It's Jacksonville at Buffalo on Monday.
Stat of the game,
Jacksonville tight end Brenton Strange
had more yards in week two
than Dalton Kincaid has had
in weeks one and two combined.
Yikes.
That's a fantastic stat of the game.
And I am,
like Brenton Strange is not someone
I'm wanting to start,
but I picked him up
in a couple of dynasty leagues.
I actually have to start him.
All right.
What about Kincaid?
Because our one question for each game about was,
can you trust any wide receivers in this game?
That was what we had for this game and three others.
But what about Kincaid?
Can you trust Kincaid this week?
I don't,
he doesn't come out as a starter in my projections,
but I'm kind of just giving him the ADP benefit of the doubt and still
project,
still ranking him as a top 10 tight end.
I think there's a few guys that it's kind of like what Dave used to say,
the Joe boo week.
Yeah.
It's,
it's a Joe boo week for Dalton Kincaid and we're going to see him on the
most dropped list.
If he has another single digit performance this week,
most likely,
but I'm starting him this week.
Yeah.
Someone actually emailed me. It was like, Dave keeps saying
Joe Boo week. What does that mean?
I sent him the clip. It's from
the movie Major League and it's
enough of you, Joe Boo. I'll do it myself.
Basically, Serrano done
with Joe Boo. That's what it means.
You got to prove it.
All right.
Obviously, Josh Allen,
James Cook, Travis ETN.
Those are the must start guys.
And you want to just get, I know I asked you like a half hour ago,
but you want to give me your thoughts on the wide receivers again?
Yeah.
My favorite start is Brian Thomas.
My second favorite start is Christian Kirk.
I think you made a good point about the bills,
giving up stuff underneath and not allowing deep stuff and
so that makes me maybe want to put kirk ahead of thomas but i'm not going to do it shakir is right
behind christian kirk they're all number three wide receivers none of them must starts um and i
don't want to trust any other wide receivers yeah so, so Kirk, right, this is the stat, right?
The Bills, year after year,
are the best in football, basically,
in eliminating deep balls.
And I'm skeptical of it,
because they have new safeties.
Like, forever, they had Micah Hyde
and Jordan Poyer, right?
They just had the same defensive backfield for a while,
especially at the safeties.
They have pretty new defensive backfield this year,
and their best cornerback, Teron Johnson, is out.
Linebacker Terrell Bernard is out for what that's worth.
He's a key player for them.
I'm just surprised how good they've been.
And they turned Tua over three times.
That wasn't necessarily Tua's fault.
But they did it against Tyree Kill and Jalen Waddell,
even for just the time that
Tua was in there, which was a decent enough
amount of time. So it's impressive
so far, and I do wonder,
like, you think about the guys who have done well against them.
Jonu Smith, a lot
of underneath stuff yesterday.
Greg Dortch, or yesterday,
last week, sorry. Greg Dortch, six catches for
47 yards on eight targets, but
Marvin Harrison had one catch for four yards on three targets.
So I do wonder if we're going to see that against the bills this year.
That's like the short area targets are going to be better.
I don't think I can tell you to start Christian Kirk over Brian Thomas though.
Like Thomas is just electric,
but I'm hoping that this is a Kirk that Kirk gets going this week.
All right. Anything else here?
Anything else?
No.
Like ETN or Charbonnet.
And I'm assuming Bigsby is not going to play.
I would start Charbonnet over ETN,
but ETN is a top 12 running back.
ETN only has 25 carries in two games.
They are 28th in time of possession.
They're 28th in third down rate.
They're doing so many things to hurt themselves
and that's what they do. They're the self-inflicted
wounds team. I think Lawrence
has got a 12% sack rate as well.
Yikes. Alright, Washington's
at Cincinnati. We're just going to update
this for Washington every single
week. Washington has now
allowed 75 yards or a
touchdown to 33
wide receivers in their last 20 games. What does that
mean for Cincinnati's wide receivers? I think you can start Jamar chase. I think you should feel
good about that. I just looked his over under for yards is 80 and a half, which is a very big number
for a, for a wide receiver in one week. And I think it's probably too low. If T. Higgins is back, I'm going to start T. Higgins,
even though he might play one snap and leave.
Against Washington, the upside's too high to sit him.
Joe Burrow, despite his start to the year,
is a must-start quarterback top three for me this week.
If T. Higgins practices in full or is full go,
would you start him over DJ more?
Probably not just because it's first game and he's got this history of,
right.
Yeah.
I would start him over London.
I'd start him over Pickens.
I,
I'd struggle with the neighbors Cooper group.
He'd be somewhere around wide receiver 20 for me.
Okay.
A new stat of the game for Washington, Brian, this is actually maybe Okay. A new stat of the game for Washington.
Brian, this is actually maybe more of a Giants stat of the game
for Giants-Browns, but Brian Robinson Jr. entered week two.
In his entire career, he did not have a run longer than 29 yards,
and he had two of them against the Giants, 32 yards and 40 yards.
So he's off to a great start.
Giants run defense is horrible.
That's why I really want Jerome Ford to just have that job. But Brian Robinson's off to a great start. Giants run defense is horrible. That's why I was like, really want Jerome for to just have that job. But, um, but Brian Robinson's off to a really
good start. Is he basically a must start at this point against another bad run defense in Cincinnati?
I've got him as a low end number two. Um, I'm just like, I don't know how much of that
133 yard game was the giants. And so I think you're probably starting him.
I'd obviously start him over as Amir White.
I'd start him over the Chiefs and guys like that.
But he needs one more game to move into must-start territory for me.
This might surprise people, and I'm going to do this exercise right now.
But here are some running backs that Austin Eckler has scored more fantasy points than
in full PPR.
Rashad White,
Zach Moss, Ken Walker, Najee Harris, Javante Williams, Zamir White. Eckler's double-digit fantasy points both games, and this is the only thing that Jane Daniels can complete right now,
are little dump-offs. It's kind of the only thing that keeps me concerned about Brian Robinson is
that Eckler does not look washed at all and is not going away.
If they have an even kind of low play volume game,
it's going to be a bad time,
I think,
but Eckler's a fine flex.
Okay.
McLaurin this week,
starter set low end number three wide receiver that i'm getting very very nervous about
how about jayden daniels let's talk about jayden daniels i saw some jayden daniels questions here
oh yeah cincinnati this question from rob cincinnati d-line hurting yeah i should have
mentioned that they lost two defensive tackles um is this i'm sorry is this a monday game this
is a monday game right yes, so they haven't practiced yet.
So I don't know if those guys are practicing,
but yeah, their D-line is beat up for sure.
Okay, Jaden Daniels, what do you think about him?
Pretty close to a must-start quarterback.
I'd start him.
He's definitely over Baker and Carr and Goff and Dak,
and I'd start him over C.J. Stroud.
Yeah, Dylan asked, Jaden Daniels or Derek Carr,
and you're going to go with Daniels.
I don't know.
Yeah.
Well, I like Carr this week against the Eagles.
Yeah, but I think that bad Bengals rushing defense
and tackling is going to benefit Jaden Daniels
just as much as it does Brian Robinson.
Here's something you should know about the commanders last week.
If you don't already know it, you might.
They got into the red zone.
Well, they settled for seven field goals.
I don't know if all of them were in the red zone,
but they absolutely dominated the New York Giants.
They only scored 21 points, I think, and it was all field goals.
They couldn't get in the end zone.
But it had the chance to be – I'm just trying to see if I can look up their –
This is something that happens. I've talked about look up there. This is something that happens.
I've talked about this a lot.
This is something that happens with rookie quarterbacks.
And we haven't seen a rookie quarterback
throw a touchdown pass so far this year.
But against the Bengals,
they probably shouldn't need to throw
to get into the end zone.
Yeah, so they had the ball for 37 minutes.
They had 425 total yards.
They had a chance to really have a big game.
And you probably would feel more optimistic
about Jaden Daniels in that case. But they just kept stalling in the red zone and settled for
seven field goals. On the other side, you love Joe Burrow this week. Who are the quarterbacks
you'd start over him? Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. All right. Zach Moss or Eckler?
I will go with Moss over Eckler.
You got to say Chase Brown at this point, right?
Just waiting.
You can't even, yeah.
You're sitting Chase Brown.
The problem with Moss is what we've got 22 rush attempts
and three catches in two games.
That's not a starting role.
Even if he's dominating the like third downs
and short yardage and all that stuff.
It's just just there's just
not that many touches available for running backs in this offense right now why is that are they
just not running a lot of plays are they i don't know like i know jacksonville is not running a lot
of plays and struggling with time of possession i don't know if the same thing's going on with
the bangles so looking at total number of plays the bang Bengals have run 109, which is tied with the Chiefs for 23rd, which is low.
But that's another point that I don't know that we've talked about.
Team play volume is down through the first two weeks because teams are running more.
And when teams run more, the clock runs more.
Well, right. That's a great point yeah
there's actually an article on cbssports.com what's really behind the nfl's offensive struggles
through two weeks and how they can be fixed and i'm assuming it's a very interesting read but i
haven't had time to read it yet but it's my it's an open tab for me i I'm going to take a look. Jared Dubin wrote it for us on CBSSports.com.
I just like, I want, obviously, I have a decent amount of Zach Moss,
so I don't say that.
This feels like it would be, you know, they're 0-2.
I feel like they'll win.
And this could be finally the game where he gets in the,
oh, he scored, I'm sorry, he scored in week one.
If you get T. Higgins back and you've got the Jamar Chase squeaky wheel game
and you're facing the worst pass defense
of the decade,
it's just like,
why wouldn't Joe Burrow just throw five touchdown passes?
Micah Sickie, start or sit?
Definitely a top 12 guy if T. Higgins is out. If if higgins is back he turns into more of a tight
end too but i could understand if you just wanted to start him either way i have to start i'm going
to start hunter henry over him just in case higgins comes back i think i just like have to do that and
um all right we'll talk more about kasicki uh later in the week as we get t higgins practice
reports but i don't know.
Are there any other tight ends?
You wouldn't start.
I mean, Hunter Henry and Mike Kosicki
are the top two streamers,
and you start Henry over Kosicki.
You wouldn't start.
If Higgins were out,
you wouldn't start him over Pitts, would you, Kosicki?
Over Pitts?
No.
Again, I'm kind of giving Pitts one more.
Jobu weak for Kyle Pitts,
and the Chiefs have given up the most fantasy points to tight end so far.
So I green Bay's at Tennessee last game,
Malik Willis revenge game.
Maybe actually Malik Willis had very nice things to say about the Titans.
It was actually a really cool quote.
He's very thankful for the opportunity they gave him and good dude.
Yeah,
that was cool.
But how would this game,
cause this is a fairly easy game,
I think,
but how would this game change this is a fairly easy game i think but how would this game change if jordan love plays
uh we'd like the packers offense and pass catchers period because we don't like them at all
if he doesn't like if malik willis starts josh jacobs is the only start and a clear must start running back even against a great defense.
If Jordan Love plays, then assuming Jaden Reed's active, we're starting Jaden Reed and you're
considering Christian Watson as a boom bust flex again. And maybe you even put Tucker Kraft
in that streaming conversation. I'm a little nervous about Jacobs if Willis plays because he didn't have a target last week.
And he got 32 carries, but he plays the Colts, who are horrible.
The Titans are usually a really good run defense.
They weren't great last week, but they were great in week one.
But they're typically year after year a good run defense.
I don't think I could sit him, but you could sit him for Charbonnet, right?
I would sit him for Charbonnet, yes. I would sit him for Charbonnet, yes.
I can't imagine there's anybody else that we're sitting.
It's just going to be such a high-volume game.
And I will say the other thing is about the Packers.
I went and picked up Emmanuel Wilson in a couple of places.
They're giving Josh Jacobs this much work.
And Marshawn Lloyd's back on IR.
So you might want to go pick him up.
I guess you could have
Charbonnet and Mason and Jacobs.
And then you would sit Jacobs.
How do you feel about Tony Pollard this week
with the Packers giving up five and a half
yards per carry to running backs?
Pretty close to a must-start running back.
It's hard to say anybody's a must-start running back
when Zach Charbonnet and Jordan Mason are both in the top 10.
But he has a top 15 running back for me,
so I'm starting Tony Pollard.
Brian Robinson or Tony Pollard?
Pollard for me.
Why are you so high on Calvin Ridley this week,
or are you not that high on Calvin Ridley?
I've got him right around 20 or between 20 and 24,
which is pretty close to where I had him
at the beginning of the season.
I love the way the Titans are using him.
They're moving him all over the field, so
it makes it more difficult for teams to shut
him down with one great corner.
And I expect he's going to see
probably 8 to 10 targets in this
game. I like him even more if Jordan Love
plays.
Yeah, that's a good point. And would you start
a DST?
I could see starting the Titans if Malik Willis starts.
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
Well, that is it for today's show.
Sorry for all the technical difficulties.
