This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports.
What a play!
Can you believe this?
It's a no-win game.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Off to the races, and he stays on his feet.
He's just going to go the distance.
Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.
We know you've got stuff to do,
but you want to hear about some fantasy football.
So we're going to tell you who to start and sit for seven AFC home games.
And these are head scratchers. I think really interesting matchups.
Baltimore at Jacksonville, Cincinnati at Tennessee.
I mean, you know, great offense versus what's been a great defense lately.
The Bears at the Jets with the quarterback situations there.
The Dolphins hosting the Texans.
The Texans have been so good against wide receivers, so good against quarterbacks.
Is that going to end this week?
I'm sure you're going to say yes.
We'll find out.
Pittsburgh at Indianapolis.
Tampa Bay at Cleveland.
And the Rams are at Kansas City.
That one should be a slaughter.
All right.
Happy Thanksgiving, Jamie and Heath.
I already said happy Thanksgiving to Heath yesterday.
I already found out what he's going to eat.
So let's go over to Jamie.
Thankful to have you guys on the show.
What's up, Jamie?
Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving to you.
Happy Thanksgiving, Heath.
Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.
Hope it's a wonderful day.
And thankful for all of you guys for always sticking with us for all of your fantasy needs.
So we appreciate that.
Yes, hopefully it's a wonderful day.
We all agree.
Best like best day of the year, right?
Best holiday of the year.
No, it's my least favorite holiday now.
Why is it your least favorite holiday?
It's a very stressful day.
It's a very, there's a lot of work.
You know, it's not like we could take off.
It's a very stressful day.
If three games still have to do a lot of notes,
you guys are always ahead of me in terms of notes.
I got to do all my research for tomorrow's show. It's a stressful day. A lot of cooking. It's just,
I get, it's tough to fit it in, tough to fit it in. And the Giants are going to lose by at least
20. So it's just going to be an unhappy Thanksgiving, but. At least 20? Yeah, but you
know what? We'll make the most of it. All right. I understand Jamie's got to get out of here in
about 40 minutes because he's got a big, both of you guys, but Jamie's got to get to the office for HQ.
So let's get started. Players we love this week, Jamie. Start of the week.
Jeff Wilson, you mentioned the Texans are fantastic against passing games, so they're going to shut down Tua Tungvalu and make the Dolphins a running team.
No, that's not the case. But I think Wilson will have a big game.
I like what obviously he's done in the two games with the dolphins coming
off the week,
10 performance,
19 carries over a hundred yards,
rushing touchdown,
five targets in that game.
I think he's clearly the lead running back now for Miami and the Texans
allow the most fantasy points to opposing running backs.
They've allowed eight guys to get over a hundred total yards,
eight guys to score touchdowns.
Four of them have scored multiple touchdowns and eight guys have had three or more receptions against the Texans this season.
So it should be a big day for Jeff Wilson as the Dolphins win by multiple touchdowns against the Texans.
When you look at Jeff Wilson versus the Thursday running backs,
Tony Pollard, Zeke, Devin Singletary, Jamal Williams, where does he fall in that group?
Wow, you didn't even put Barkley there.
Yeah.
I would put him third behind Barkley and Pollard.
Okay, same.
Don't you just have this gut feeling he's going to be better than Barkley?
That you can't act on it?
Well, I think, well, first off, it's telling that I have him ahead of Dalvin Cook.
Oh, okay.
All right, Heath, who do you love this week?
I'm going to go, we don't usually say injured guys,
but Joe Mixon didn't practice yesterday,
and with the way the concussion protocol's been,
I think we can feel fairly confident.
Samadji Pirine's going to be the starter, and it is a bad matchup.
They're probably not going to run the ball very efficiently,
but I just love the touch opportunity,
the catch opportunity and full PPR.
I think he's a top 12 running back.
And if he scores a touchdown,
he might be better than that.
Yeah.
I mean,
that's interesting.
You want to get into this now?
Because I think Jamie,
you're a little lower on Samaj AP Ryan,
right?
Against the Titans.
I'm just a little concerned that,
you know,
we've seen some,
some better players in,
in some good offenses struggle against his defense.
I think if you're hoping for Samaj P. Ryan to be good without a touchdown,
I think you're hoping for what Aaron Jones gave you in this matchup against them,
which was 12 PPR points.
I don't know if Samaj P. Ryan is going to be much better than that.
Aaron Jones had six catches in that game.
Yeah, but he's not alone.
There have been seven running backs with five or more catches,
seven running backs with 30 or more receiving yards against Tennessee.
So that does play into P. Ryan's hands,
but the rushing should be tough to come by.
And there have been a lot of backfields lately
where the combined backfield is combined for like eight, nine, ten catches.
It's just been there's two or three guys doing that.
There might be a second guy that catches a pass or two for the Bengals,
but I think P. Ryan's at the very least going to dominate the passing doubts work.
Okay, who are we avoiding? Jamie, give me a sit for week 12.
Who are we avoiding that's not playing on Thursday? I would like to avoid why am i blanking on this i would like to avoid dj moore deontay johnson
um how about damian pierce how do you feel about him i would not avoid damian pierce it's just too
much work you know so while last week's game was troubling and there is certainly the chance of
him hitting a rookie wall
for a team that's bad with a bad quarterback.
It's just hard to overlook how many times he's going to touch the ball.
So he's in that same range of, for me at least,
Jamal Williams, Miles Sanders, Najee Harris,
depending on Jalen Warren's situation, David Montgomery,
the guys that probably need to score.
She'll get a lot of volume. Okay. So how about Cordaro Patterson then, the guys that probably need to score, should get a lot of volume.
So how about Cordero Patterson,
the team that shut down Damian Pierce last week?
Yeah, that's the guy I'd like to avoid.
Heath, how about you? Who are you avoiding?
How about in Steelers?
No, I would like to avoid the Packers passing game.
I think this Eagles defense may just completely do a number on them,
and they should be able to run all over them
and dominate time of possession.
The Packers always play slow anyway.
I'm concerned.
I don't want to play Rodgers.
I don't want to play Lazard.
I don't want to play Watson.
Interesting.
Broken something's not nice.
No, but it's not new, right?
I mean, he's been playing with that since week six.
Right, but you wonder at what point when the losses continue to mount
does he just shut it down?
Well, he's not shutting it down this week.
I mean, we're not downgrading Rodgers because of what we heard yesterday.
He's been playing through it, right?
I mean, nothing's changed.
No, nothing's changed.
But the fact that there's a little bit more clarity to it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It makes you less, like, I guess you could have had hope
that whatever it was that was bothering him went away in his most recent game and he's going to be fine the rest of the season. I don't have had hope that whatever it was was that was bothering him went away in his most
recent game and he's gonna be fine rest of season i don't have that hope now well for what it's
worth so aaron rogers has a broken thumb and that happened against the giants in their london game
last play of the game so he's been playing through it he he said that the bad throws he made against
the titans had nothing to do with the thumb he said he he felt better against the Titans than he did against the Cowboys
two games ago,
and he was awesome
against the Cowboys.
So it could have just been
a coincidence,
but obviously a very tough matchup
here against the Eagles.
You know what's not tough?

News and notes.
Oh, I forgot the trivia question.
Two of the quarterbacks
who are either starting this weekend
or likely starting this weekend,
that'd be Trevor Simeon and Kyle Allen.
Right now, I think Trevor Simeon's
probably going to start for the Bears.
And Kyle Allen is going to start for the Texans.
They have produced two 1,000-yard receivers
in a season.
Can you name those receivers? They've given us a season with two 1,000-yard receivers in a season. Can you name those receivers?
They've given us a season with two 1,000-yard receivers on the same team.
Two each or two combined?
Two each on the same team.
So like Kyle.
Sanders and Corlin and Demaryius Thomas.
That was Simeon.
Yeah.
Sanders and Thomas.
And Kyle Allen was.
DJ Moore and Robbie Anderson?
Nope.
DJ Moore and? Christian McC Nope. DJ Moore and...
Christian McCaffrey.
Christian McCaffrey.
Yeah, so maybe we've got some upgrades.
Let's hope.
But we got a lot of new quarterbacks this week.
Wait.
We don't have any reason to think we have an upgrade
from Justin Fields to Trevor Simeon.
No, but I was getting into Sam Darnold and Mike White.
Okay.
We got...
Oh, actually, no.
I disagree with you.
We got a quarterback in Justin Fields
who was throwing for about 150 yards per game.
By that metric alone, I think we'll have an upgrade.
What do you think?
Is it right?
I think it will be an upgrade for the pass catchers.
I mean, Fields is a better passer than Trevor Smith.
That's absolutely, absolutely.
I'm not saying that. I'm not saying they is a better passer than Trevor Simeon. That's absolutely... I'm not saying that.
I'm not saying they have a better quarterback.
I'm simply saying from a purely statistical standpoint.
He's going to throw for more yards
than Justin Fields has averaged in the last month.
Or season, but yeah.
Well, it's more lately, right?
I don't think so.
I think it's all season, but probably both.
I mean, I would hope that Trevor Simeon, if he's throwing the ball 45 times,
is probably going to be over 200 yards.
Yeah, I don't think he's going to throw the ball 45.
I'd be surprised if he throws it 35 times.
Maybe there will be a major change in philosophy.
Well, it is right around 150 passing yards per game for the season for Fields.
But anyway, look, Sam Darnold's starting.
We talked about that yesterday.
But Kyle Allen's starting for Houston.
They're at Miami.
They give up a ton of points to quarterbacks.
Mike White's starting for the Jets.
They're against the Bears.
Justin Fields has not been ruled out,
but he's in a lot of pain.
So could be Simeon.
I know you really feel like it's going to be Simeon.
Everything I hear from them, like what you were saying makes sense,
and I wouldn't risk Justin Fields, but everything I hear from them,
the fact that they list him as questionable on Wednesday,
the fact they let him talk on Sunday after the game and then again on Wednesday,
I think it points towards more their planning on playing him.
Well, there's also, I think, just in terms of the talking,
this narrative of what Zach Wilson did not say
and what Justin Fields has said.
And I wonder if that's why they're letting him still talk on Wednesday.
Yeah.
Sort of, I'm the leader, you know, get out in front
and be the face of the team
and just address any questions that anybody may have.
Not about that, clearly, about being a leader, but just
getting in front of the media because he got
so much
acknowledgement for taking responsibility
for the loss while breaking his shoulder
while the other quarterback
said, not my fault.
So, I don't
know if the talking on Wednesday
is necessarily an injury, plus
or minus.
Well, look, let's just call it 50-50 because he hasn't been ruled out.
You've been very pessimistic, though, about it.
He is in pain handing off.
He is in pain.
It's his left shoulder.
He's in pain when he throws with his right arm.
He's in a lot of pain right now.
He has to get better.
But fine, I'll back off from all of my pessimism. Well, no, I think the thing about it for when you take a step back from it
is you'd rather have him miss a game this week
than play through it and miss the rest of the season because he gets hurt.
Of course.
And he has a bye next week, right?
Yes.
No.
Oh.
Their next week, I thought they were 14.
I don't think there are any byes on week 14.
Are there?
They are definitely week 14. I think it's week 14. There are six byes on week 14. Are there? There are definitely a lot of buys.
There are six buys in week 14.
Oh, how many buys?
Oh, okay.
I'm sorry.
So we have two more buy weeks.
My bad.
All right.
So what was I going to say?
Oh, the reason why.
Okay.
But you have to make some decisions, right, for Thursday of quarterbacks versus fields.
So Cousins, Daniel Jones, what do you do?
I'm holding out.
I don't like either one,
so I would just probably pivot to Pickett if he's available.
Okay.
Matthew Stafford's out with a neck injury.
He's also in the concussion protocol,
and they have not ruled out shutting down Matthew Stafford for the season.
So, ugly season getting worse for the Rams.
Lamar Jackson mispracticed, but he will play.
Aaron Rodgers is playing through a broken thumb.
And good news, Kyler Murray practiced in full,
and it's looking like he is going to play.
Running back news.
Kyler Murray gets the Chargers, by the way.
Gus Edwards practiced.
Joe Mixon did not.
He was limited.
Yes, Gus Edwards was limited.
Deontay Foreman mispracticed, but I think it was a rest day, right?
Yes, he's not on the injury report. Okay. Tampa practice, but I think it was a rest day, right? For Foreman?
Yes, he's not on injury report.
Okay.
Tampa Bay, they're going to ride the hot hand
at running back,
which could be a great thing at Cleveland,
a terrible run defense.
And Leonard Fournette is still sore,
and he's not guaranteed to play.
We are going to preview this game in a little bit,
but if Fournette is out,
where would you rank Rashad White this week?
You know what gets hot?
White.
White hot. White hot.
White hot.
Top 20. Top 20?
Okay.
If we're not as out? Yeah. Yeah.
So not ahead of Jeff Wilson?
No.
No.
Let's see. I would start him over P. Ryan if they're both
starting.
Heath? P. Ryan? Or Rashad White if Fournette's out?
I think I would go P. Ryan.
Okay.
But I agree.
Wilson would be ahead of him.
Clyde Edwards-Ziller is on IR, and Ronald Jones could play this week.
The Jaguars claim Daryl Henderson.
I completely forgot Ronald Jones is still on the team.
I kept thinking, I'm like, are they going to sign somebody?
The Jaguars claim Daryl Henderson.
You think that matters for ETN?
No.
I don't really think so.
It's a good move by them, though.
Raheem Mostert missed practice with a knee injury.
It's a Wednesday practice.
He's missed Wednesday practices before.
Wide receiver news.
Joe Burrow said that Jamar Chase is going to play.
We will talk about that game shortly. Jerry Judy and KJ Hamler mispractice again. Greg Dortch has a thumb injury.
It's Marquise, or sorry, Rondell Moore is likely out. If Marquise Brown plays, he's going to be on
a pitch count. Still an opportunity for Dortch to have a big game if he can play. It's a pain
tolerance thing for him. Corey Davis practiced in full. Juju Smith-Schuster was on the practice field.
He's making progress, but he's still in the concussion protocol.
Kadarius Toney missed practice.
He should be playing, though.
Whenever you see practice in full in the concussion
protocol, that's a very good sign.
So you're going to be pretty high on Juju Smith-Schuster
if he plays?
Top 20 receiver.
Top 20. Okay. Mike Williams missed practice,
but he does have a chance to play.
Keenan Allen practiced in full.
Tight end news.
I don't know if I mentioned this.
Yes, I mentioned it yesterday.
Taysom Hill played 17 snaps a quarterback last week.
I hear a lot.
Yeah, I know.
Season high.
It's a theory.
It's a theory.
Tyler Higbee mispracticed with knee swelling.
Sit Tyler Higbee.
David Njoku mispracticed with knee and ankle issues.
We'll keep an eye on that because the knee is new.
Offensive line news.
You missed one.
Keep an eye on Gerald Everett because he gets the dream situation.
Against the Cardinals, yeah.
Well, he's right, right, right.
He didn't play last week.
That's right.
The Giants offensive line is not playing this week today at the Cowboys.
They are just all basically out.
Going to be a tough day.
I mean, if you're going to skip a day, it's a pretty good one to miss.
Right.
Yeah.
Go have some time.
You don't have to block.
Andrew Thomas might play, right?
He's playing.
He's fine.
They're going to be missing their starting left guard, center, and their top two right tackles.
Kansas City offensive...
Is that bad against that defense?
Yeah, it's pretty bad.
Kansas City offensive lineman Joe Tooney mispracticed.
Chicago center Lucas Patrick is out for the season.
Arizona left tackle DJ Humphries is day-to-day, though,
so he could get back this week.
That'd be nice.
Defensive news.
The Bills are a little beat up.
The Giants are pretty beat up.
Tennessee's beat up, but getting a little beat up. The Giants are pretty beat up. Tennessee's beat up,
but getting a little healthier.
The Forrest Buckner mispractice,
that's a big one for the Colts.
I assume he's going to be fine.
Detroit's going to be,
this one actually should be in the offensive line notes,
but Detroit is going to be
without both starting
offensive guards this week,
today,
against the Bills.
Jamie, I think the Bills are,
I think the Lions are going to give him a game.
Heath doesn't.
What do you think?
I think I heard, because I was working in the studio
when Bryant McFadden and Pete Prisco were picking games,
that BMAC likes the Lions to cover as well.
I think it's almost the exact same spread.
Ten-point difference in the over-under.
But who loses by more, Lions or Giants?
Giants.
It's not even close to me.
I think they both lose by more.
I don't think the Lions give them the game.
I think Josh Allen doesn't want to hear anymore
about how he's not been playing well lately
and he just has a monster day.
I hope so.
The Lions can really score, though.
Vitavea mispractices.
I'm sorry.
They don't have their whole team anymore. What's that. The Lions can really score, though. Vitavia mispracticed. I'm sorry.
They don't have their whole team anymore.
What's that?
The Lions.
I just don't think they're the same offense.
They're still scoring.
Again, Josh Reynolds is expected to play, though.
Vitavia mispracticed.
That's a big deal.
Run stuffer for the Buccaneers.
We'll keep an eye on him there at Cleveland.
Byron Murphy, cornerback for the Cardinals. He's day-to-day.
Marshawn Lattimore was limited in practice.
He hasn't played in a while.
All right, before we get into the games,
I do want to tell you about something really awesome,

All right, let's go to one question for each game. I really think there are a lot of games where I
just don't know how the offenses are going to do. Really interesting matchups on the AFC slate here.
Baltimore at Jacksonville.
Are you confident, Jamie, in either offense in this game?
No, but I'm confident in certain players.
So while the collective is not exactly great,
the individuals I hope will be great.
So you're not getting away from Lamar Jackson
despite the struggles and his hip injury
might be something why he's not exactly performing
up to his usual standards.
Mark Andrews, you're not getting away from him. I think
Demarcus Robinson is certainly interesting for some people
that have receiver woes or some
concerns about matchups based on what he's
done in two of his last three games.
The running back situation is clearly something you've got
to keep an eye on, but if there's one guy
in Drake, it's a flex. If there's both guys,
then it's probably something to avoid. And then you know who you're
playing for Jacksonville. You're playing ETN and you're playing Kirk.
Do I know that?
Because Kirk has been very matchup dependent.
The Ravens' run defense has been ridiculous lately.
But, I mean, you've got to really be loaded.
First of all, you're not benching ETN.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You want to go Wilson or Pirine or Rashad White, you certainly can.
I don't think there's a huge swing of difference
if those guys play up to their standards
and Etienne probably struggles,
but he's going to touch the ball so much
and hopefully in a creative way.
And then Kirk, I think just based on volume,
I would expect them to be chasing points.
At least if the game script holds,
they're going to probably be throwing.
So hopefully that leads to some better production.
I hope so. I don't know.
I mean, I don't know about it.
Yeah.
Heath, how many pass attempts do you have Trevor Lawrence projected for?
30.
Well, I almost just said a number without looking.
I guess I could look.
But 37 is my first thought.
Okay.
It is 35.
Okay.
All right.
Cincinnati at Tennessee.
So less than Simeon.
Wow.
Cincinnati at Tennessee is another game. 35 okay all right cincinnati at tennessee he's less than simeon wow cincinnati at tennessee is in other games like what does the bangles offense do against this titans defense which has been number one in yards per play i think since they're by maybe number
four in yards per play allowed in the last four games since they're by heath start both chase and
higgins if chase plays without any question,
doubt,
concern,
or thought.
Absolutely.
Yes.
And I,
I don't know if the Titans are vastly improved against wide receivers.
There have been a lot of wide receivers that have scored fantasy points
against them.
Lately,
the Packers had three wide receivers score double digit fantasy points.
So did the Broncos.
Me call Hardman and Juju combined for almost 40.
They've given up a lot of fantasy points
to wide receivers, even recently.
Okay.
Chicago is at the Jets.
I'll go back to Heath on this one.
Do you like any running backs in this game?
Michael Carter, David Montgomery, you like them?
I wouldn't say that I like them, no,
but they are both usable if you're desperate
as a low-end number two or high-end flex.
Montgomery over Carter.
And James Robinson might have some sneaky appeal as well.
Okay, how about Houston at Miami?
Jamie, you kind of alluded to this earlier.
Starter sit Damian Pierce.
Yeah, how do you feel about him?
It's like a lesser version of Travis Etienne.
You know he's going to touch the ball so much.
You hope that he has better performance this week
than he did last week against the Commanders.
It's not an easy defense, and they're coming off of a bye,
but anybody that has 15-plus touch potential
should be most likely in the RB2 range.
Okay, Pittsburgh at the Colts.
Who do you like better, George Pickens or Paris Campbell, Heath?
It's pretty easily Paris Campbell and full PPR.
Much closer in non-PPR, but I would still take Campbell.
I think one of the trends I'm looking at here
is in two games with Jeff Saturday as the head coach,
they've thrown something like 30 pass attempts,
30 to 32 in both games.
Their targets have been a lot more concentrated, though, right?
I don't know,
because Alec Pierce actually had a lot of targets last week.
He did last week, yeah.
The first week, it was just Campbell and Pittman.
The last week, Pierce got in there.
But they've been a lot more run-heavy.
The pass attempts went up in game two from game one.
I think two.
But it's still way lower than what we'd seen.
It seems like Jeff Saturday, as long as they can stay competitive,
he wants to be a running team.
So it's just a trend to watch going into this game against Pittsburgh.
A little buzz about Pittsburgh's offense, by the way.
Maybe if you could stash Kenny Pickett, it might not be the worst idea.
He'd throw the ball downfield a lot more.
Go ahead.
I picked up Kenny Pickett this morning,
and I'm starting him over Kirk Cousins.
Okay.
Tampa Bay is at Cleveland.
Jamie, starter sit Donovan Peoples-Jones.
I think he's right where he should be every week,
which is a high-end number three receiver
with the chance to finish as a top 20 PPR guy
if he scores like he did last week.
But the only thing that really concerns me, to be honest,
is any weather problems.
If there's a lot of wind in Cleveland,
then I think it could be an issue for mostly the brown side of things.
But I think if it's fairly decent weather,
then Peoples-Jones has a chance to stay,
live in that 11-12 PPR range,
and if he scores, he'll be thrilled.
By the way, your overall confidence level
in the Buccaneers offense in this game,
it's going to be one of the last games we preview.
Jamie, you won't be on for it.
So overall confidence in the Bucs in this game.
I think what you got from Brady
minus the stupid play calls in the Munich game
is what you should expect.
You know, somewhere between 250 and 300 yards passing.
Again, weather being okay.
Godwin and Evans being dominant.
Hopefully somebody else stepping in that you could maybe use,
which would be Julio Jones.
And then Rashad White being the lead running back over Leonard Fournette.
But if both play, they're flexed at best.
Rams and Chiefs.
Do you trust any Chiefs players other than Mahomes and Kelsey?
I wrote that thinking Juju wasn't going to play, but Heath, it's weird.
It's like we expect the Chiefs to do so well, but in the run, you know, I don't know.
What do you think about the Chiefs?
Well, I think the nice thing is they give you a lot, and it doesn't matter as much this week because nobody's on a buy,
but they give you a lot of flexes that you can throw in there and say,
I can see a scenario when this guy's a top 20 player in his position.
Sky Moore, Jarek McKinnon, Pacheco.
You trust Pacheco more in non-PPR than you do in full, but still, it's just the same
thing.
It's no touchdowns, no work in the passing game.
And I don't even remember enough plays inside the 10 or running plays for the Chiefs inside
the 10 lately where I'm even certain that Pacheco's playing over McKinnon in that spot.
Yeah, you never know with them. They have a wheel on the sideline. They do wheel the side.
I think Andy Regis has this, Hey, watch this. We've never done this before.
And they're going to do this now. I think tendency breakers is just all they do.
Here's a comment from Brandon. Y'all are amazing for doing this on a holiday. How about you all
watching live right now? You're amazing for watching us on Thanksgiving,
especially at a little early start today.
We appreciate it.
All of you listening, if you're traveling,
hope we can be part of your Thanksgiving.
And we do appreciate it.
And we're so appreciative of all of you
and so thankful that we're gonna give away
a free month of Paramount+.
So let's give away that right now.
If you wanna comment your Twitter handle on YouTube,
our boy Thomas Schaefer,
who has a repeat YouTube poll today. More on that in
a moment. That's like holiday mode, Thomas Schaefer. Repeat YouTube poll. He's going to
give out a free month of Paramount+. Comment your Twitter handle, please. The poll is ham or turkey
on Thanksgiving. I think he did that on Tuesday night, if I'm not mistaken. Turkey has-
Self-plagiarism?
Yeah. Two-thirds of the vote for Turkey.
You guys didn't acknowledge it, so
I figured you didn't see it.
Well, I'm very sorry. I did not mean to hurt you
so badly. I didn't see it.
No, you weren't
there. All right, Baltimore's at Jacksonville.
At least Thomas does his own work, unlike
some people, you know. Yeah.
Baltimore's at Jacksonville.
The Ravens defense
is on a four-game winning streak.
The Ravens team
is on a four-game winning streak.
And during it,
they have allowed
20 points to Cleveland,
22 at Tampa Bay,
13 at the Saints,
three points to the Panthers.
So the defense
has gotten very good.
And here's your stat
of the game.
Four wide receivers
this year have scored
more than 14
PPR fantasy points against the Ravens.
They were the Dolphins guys,
Devontae Parker, and Mike Evans.
When you look at Garrett Wilson,
Stephon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Jamar Chase,
Tyler Boyd in a game without Higgins,
those guys had 62 or fewer yards and no touchdowns.
I don't know. My point is, like I said earlier,
Christian Kirk has been very matchup dependent.
The good news is the Ravens give up a lot of yards to slot receivers. The bad news is their defense has been damn good lately, and I'm not sure this is a good matchup. So, Jamie, you kind of expressed some confidence in Christian Kirk. I'll just make Pittman has been, you know, what,
what,
you know,
um,
I think somebody else comparable, uh,
Garrett Wilson in that two game stretch,
you know,
six for 70,
that type of that line.
I think he's,
he's certainly capable of that.
Um,
because I do think he's going to get close to 10 targets and,
and that's going to be,
you know,
I think the area where Trevor Lawrence leans on.
So I don't think he's having a top 10 game,
but I do think he can have a top 20 game in PPR.
In non-PPR, I think he's the number three receiver.
Seven wide receivers have scored between 12 and 14 PPR points
against the Ravens.
Okay.
So that's kind of where we're going to think for Kirk in that 13-ish?
I think 12 to 14 if he doesn't score.
And if he does score, then he's obviously really good.
Okay.
He's obviously starting in three receiver leagues,
and it just depends on who you have in three receiver leagues.
If Mike Williams doesn't play, you start Josh Palmer over him?
In non-PPR, yes.
In PPR, no.
I would start Palmer.
I'd have to make that decision.
So I was asking you for a friend for me. I'd start Palmer. I'd have to make that decision. So I was asking you for a friend for me.
I'd start Palmer, but it's PPR.
All right.
Is that our league that we share together?
No.
That's 2QB.
Okay.
And in that league, I have Trevor Lawrence.
So starters to Trevor Lawrence.
That's it.
I don't want to start him.
I would start him over Cousins cousins and Daniel Jones who are playing today.
So if like you had that combination,
I'd start him.
Would you start Derek Carr at Seattle or Trevor Lawrence?
Lawrence.
Lawrence for Heath Carr for Jamie,
uh,
Travis ETN Heath.
I think you have a third or now you have a sixth in PPR.
Jamie,
I'm 12th in PPR.
So ETN is a start.
He is so explosive.
The Ravens
in two
games with Roquan Smith, they've allowed one
running back carry of 10 plus yards.
It's against the Saints and the Panthers.
It's obviously not a good
matchup, but he's one
big play away from having a big game every week.
Zay Jones, Heath,
any interest?
No, not really.
Desperation flex.
Evan Ingram?
I'd rather not.
Okay.
So we're mostly sitting the Jaguars,
ETN and Kirk are starts,
but probably not to the level that they usually would be.
So let's go to the Ravens and Lamar Jackson.
And Jamie, you said you're not getting away
from Lamar Jackson.
However, you do have Tua ahead of him.
You have Burrow ahead of him.
As of now, you have Fields ahead of Lamar Jackson.
You have him eighth.
I think I moved Fields behind him.
Okay.
Heath, you have him sixth.
So it's not normal Lamar Jackson,
but it's a start for Jackson.
We can go to the Ravens running backs.
I wrote this earlier this week.
I'm going to play Lamar Jackson
DFS for sure, especially in tournaments, not
in cash games or anything. But you have a guy
with his upside where the price is down now
because of performance. The roster rate
is going to be down because of performance. That's the type of
contrarian play that you hope
this is the week the touchdowns come.
And there have been a lot of big games. a lot of big games against the Jaguars.
35 points for Wentz, 33 points for Ryan, 30 points for Daniel Jones,
22 for Derek Carr, 38 points for Mahomes.
That's four quarterbacks who have scored 30 or more fantasy points,
and three of them are Wentz, Matt Ryan, and Daniel Jones.
So there's a lot of upside.
Jamie, Ravens running backs, any interest?
Who would you start if you had to pick one?
I would start Drake if they're both healthy,
and I would consider them as flexes.
I would start Drake as a low-end starter,
depending on what your team looks like,
if there is no Edwards.
So I think last week was frustrating
because you thought that there would be a bigger performance
with Edwards not playing and he only had 10 carries.
You've got to hope that it's a game where their offense gets a little bit better.
Ronnie Stanley, I think, is a big part of this.
You know, Stanley's out there.
It's a much better offense, much better run game.
And Stanley not there, that, you know, makes you a little bit concerned.
By the way, the Jaguars, they're not good against running backs,
but that's mostly in the passing game.
They give up the second most receiving yards per game to running backs.
There have been five running backs with 37 or more receiving yards against Jacksonville. That's not exactly the Ravens thing. Okay. Uh, would you start
DeMarcus Robinson Heath over struggling wide receivers like DJ Moore, Deontay Johnson,
Brandon cooks. I think the only one that I have Robinson ahead of is Brandon Cooks. I say that because none of them are my top 48, or those two at least aren't.
It's just projections-wise.
I'd probably start Robinson over Cooks.
Allen gives me a little more hope for Cooks.
You could see eight to nine targets in this game for him, but you could also see four.
You might remember, obviously, last week, nine targets, nine catches, 128 yards for Robinson.
Three games ago, he had eight targets.
So that's two of his last three games, eight or nine targets.
And he had six for 64 against the Bucs in that game.
Jamie, you have any hope for Robinson
or just let's stash him maybe and see what happens?
Yeah, I think you should absolutely try and roster him if you can.
You know, it's the,
it's pretty clear that if there's anyone that's going to be consistent in
lieu of Rashad Bateman being there,
it's him,
you know,
DuVernay is not that guy.
Uh,
I don't think Deshaun Jackson is going to become that guy.
And so Lamar,
he seems to have a pretty good connection with him.
And start Mark Andrews.
I just want to come back to Evan Ingram.
Cause I do think tight's pretty interesting this week.
You guys have Higby ranked ahead of Ingram.
Are you going to change that if Higby even plays?
If Perkins plays?
I have more faith in Higby than I do Ingram.
Even with Perkins?
Yeah.
Okay.
How about...
Ingram's last two games have been miserable.
Great.
Yes.
Yes, they have.
Greg Dulcich or Evan Ingram?
Dulcich.
Dulcich.
All right.
Let's go to Cincinnati at Tennessee.
Titans defense.
They have been...
Let's see.
Their last five games, they are tied for third best in yards per play allowed.
That's five games since their bye for third best in yards per play allowed that's five games since their by third fewest yards per play i was sort of struggling with that stat earlier
uh here's the stat of the game there have been seven running backs with five oh i already did
that one sorry this is about p ryan seven running backs with five or more catches seven running
backs with 30 or more receiving yards against the Titans. So overall, do you think, Heath,
that the Bengals put up a big number in this game?
Not necessarily a big number for the Bengals,
but I think they score three to four touchdowns
and maybe a field goal.
So somewhere in that 24 to 31 range.
Because Burrow,
you guys have,
I think,
in the top five.
No hesitation with him?
None.
He did have a piss poor game
against him in the playoffs,
if you recall.
He was sacked,
I think,
seven times in that game.
Nine times in that game.
Yeah.
Well, that's what they do.
I mean,
they,
I say it every week,
but it's really interesting.
They have the cheat code. How do you, you know, beat good offenses? You get pressure with four. And that's exactly what the Titans do. They blitz less than everybody else but like the five offenses they've played since their bye it's the chiefs and four bad offenses the packers the the broncos
the colts and the texans that is true okay like those teams in terms of yards per play on the
season might be about where they where the titans rank over the last month all right so
we talked about p ryan a little bit earlier but obviously he's a very important player so we will
talk a little bit more about him uh jamie the last i checked you had him 22nd in ppr do you think that
stays the same or comes up here i may have moved him around a little bit but he's in that range
you know he's a low end number two running back again i think you just kind of look at what some
of these other running backs have done against this defense and you kind of kind of compare him talent wise on
the team that he's on to put it in relation and then what the circumstances
are.
So will he probably catch four to five passes?
I think that's safe.
He did that last week.
Will he get probably 12 to 15 carries?
I think that's safe.
You know,
I don't think the Titans,
if they,
if they have a lead,
it's going to be a significant one that they're going to stop running the ball, but they just don't give up touchdowns.
And so, you know, can he, it's, it's almost like the Christian Kirk scenario. Can he be 12 to 14
PPR points? I think that's certainly within the realm of possibility. That's what Aaron Jones was.
I think Aaron Jones is a better player on an offense that's slightly worse. So, you know,
I think if you're going in with the expectation, can he beat Aaron Jones' number,
then sure, you should have a little bit more reason for optimism.
I think he's going to be in that range,
so he's a low-end number two for me.
When you look at running backs who should have good workload but a low yards per carry this week,
James Conner, David Montgomery,
Samaje Pirine,
probably Antonio Gibson.
He's basically never good per carry.
Jamal Williams.
Jamal Williams, yeah, against the Bills.
Where does Pirine fit in with that group?
So it's Montgomery, Conner.
Jamie, the way I see it now, has it ranked Montgomery, Conner,
Williams, Pirine, Gibson,
with the last three being back-to-back-to-back.
And Heath, you have him ahead of all of them?
Yeah, I think I might have P. Ryan, Connor.
I'm lower on Montgomery.
Latavius, we put him in that group.
And it's probably really just ranked
by the number of catches that I have them projected for.
Okay.
Like we said, start Chase and start Higgins.
Higgins is what?
That's the wild card in all this.
It's like, how much more attention does Chase get
and take away from the running backs?
Mostly clearing.
Where do you guys have those guys ranked, by the way,
Chase and Higgins?
Higgins above Chase for now, just as long as chase is still limited uh both guys are i think higgins is like 11 and and chase is like 15 yeah i've got higgins at 11 and i think i got chase 19 because
i did move him like we don't have confirmed confirmed that he's playing right it's it's
joe burrow expects him to play and he's running.
I think they practiced it.
It's a good sign.
But you're right.
Zach Taylor did not commit to him playing.
Joe Burrow did.
He's probably going to play.
So I've got him behind, I think, Gabe Davis.
Okay.
But if he does play, is he going to be in your top 12
or do you want to kind of wait and see?
All right.
Okay.
In that case, you're going to sit Tyler Boyd.
Hayden Hurst is a sit. He's still 64% rostered. All right. Okay. In that case, you're going to sit Tyler Boyd.
Hayden Hurst is a sit.
He's still 64% rostered.
He just has not been good.
Well, he has been good for the most part,
but when Chase and Higgins are both healthy,
he just does not produce.
All right.
Ryan Tannehill, the rankings are very different here on Ryan Tannehill.
Jamie has Tannehill 13th.
Heath, you have him 22nd. Jamie, you are the high guy on
Tannehill, which is what you were last week, and he rewarded you nicely here. So your thoughts on
Tannehill against a team that so far is giving up the fourth fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks.
What do you think? Yeah, I think as we've sort of alluded earlier in the week or illustrated
earlier in the week that this is a team that's faced a lot of strange quarterback situations,
whether it was Tua getting hurt or some backups. And I think they've taken advantage of that.
Tannehill, I don't think there's a logic behind why he's successful, but he just has always found
a way to be successful in this offense. It's like, you know, he said with Mike Rabel, you know, we
just don't question things that happen there
um two games ago it was the nick westbrook akina game last week it was the austin hooper game
and trailing burks i think coming along you know i think they're starting to figure out maybe who
their their pass catchers are from trailing burks and and the targets that he's gotten the last two
games and robert was in the targets that he's gotten the last two games i think those two guys
especially if the bangles often shows up like it should,
then this game could be a little bit more probably pass happy from the Titans perspective
than they want it to be, which I think would benefit Tannehill.
So I don't think he's having another 23-point game,
but I think he could be in that 18 to 20-point range.
And I think when you start to get past the top 12 guys,
like I feel better about him than I do about Aaron Rodgers in this situation.
I trust him more than the other guys I think that you're looking at on the waiver. I trust him more than Pickett.
I trust him more than
Heineke. I trust him more than
Mariota. I trust him more than Carr
and more than Lawrence and Daniel Jones. So I think
there's a safe floor for him
and a ceiling that we've seen, which
could be in the mid-20s.
Heath?
Yeah, I worry a lot about the floor because I do
think that when you're throwing 25 passes a game
and not really doing anything as a runner,
there's always the possibility of the 180-yard game
without a touchdown.
He does not have more than 12 rushing yards
in any game this year,
and only one rushing touchdown.
It's pretty weird.
That's been a pretty big part of Tannehill's game.
He's just not doing it.
All right, so there are a couple of conflicting
or competing views on Ryan Tannehill.
Start Derek Henry.
Do you want to start any Titans wide receivers
or do you just want to stash them?
Stash.
And Burks is the one.
I think Burks could be a number three receiver
if you're stuck.
Yeah, the Bengals have been great against receivers.
Seventh best against receivers,
but Jamie alluded to it.
These are the quarterbacks they've played.
Trubisky, Rush, Flacco, some of Tua,
but mostly Teddy Bridgewater.
Lamar Jackson, 15 points.
That was their best performance.
Dalton, Mariota, Brissett, Baker Mayfield,
scored 18 points and a half, and Kenny Pickett.
And we haven't really seen a lot of them
without Chidobe Awuzie.
This will be, by far, I don't know about that.
It's the Titans.
They don't throw that much.
This will be a test.
Austin Hooper.
I don't think this will be a test.
But I just think he's, I mean, on paper, the last two teams that he's faced
and done well against, Tannehill, Denver, and Green Bay,
they were in the same range as the Bengals.
Austin Hooper. got a little momentum.
Hooper, any interest in Austin Hooper?
How would you compare him to Evan Ingram and Tyler Higbee, etc.?
Heath?
I'm probably the low guy on Austin Hooper as well.
He's got one game since week two with more than four targets.
I'm just not going to bet on the touchdowns from last week.
Jamie, any major disagreements?
I don't think there's a lot of safety with Austin Hooper,
but the 11 targets the last two games
and the fact that it kind of coincides
with Tannehill's improved play as well.
And it's not, I think, a horrible matchup,
so I don't mind him.
This is actually where they've struggled.
Tight ends have done pretty well against the Bengals.
But yeah, it is, what, 3-1, 3-7, and 4 targets
in his last five games, which have been
56-5, 34-41, and 36 yards for Hooper.
Sit the DSTs, and we're going to take a break,
and I think Jamie's going to hop off here.
Happy Thanksgiving, Jamie.
You too.

Data sourced from the ORCGA 2023 Dirt Report.
Chicago's at the Jets,
and we're still waiting to find out who the quarterback is going to be for the Bears.
If it's Justin Fields, you start him.
If it's Trevor Simeon,
what does it do for Kemet and for Mooney with these guys?
I will not like them more.
I will maybe a slight downgrade.
And the dispute earlier over whether they're going,
they probably will throw more.
Maybe they'll throw for more yards.
But their touchdown odds just crater with Simeon instead of Justin Fields.
And I don't think either Mooney or Komet are the type of guy who are going to give you very many good performances without a touchdown.
Komet is a borderline top 12 tight end.
Mooney is a borderline number three wide receiver.
I mean, this should be a pretty low scoring game, right?
You would think so, yes.
It has not the lowest over-under, but it's down in the 30s, which is low.
The Jets, I believe in the Jets' defense.
Yeah.
This is another team where you look at the Jets and who have they played.
They haven't really played great teams, but if they're playing Trevor Simeon,
I believe very much in the Jets' defense.
And they're good.
They obviously have some good personnel.
All right, so Montgomery or Carter, who do you like better?
Montgomery over Carter, but they are very close.
I think 25 and 27 or 25 and 28.
You know, why are you so low on Montgomery?
This is your guy.
It is my guy.
I don't think they're going to score very many points.
I do think the Jets' defense is good,
and he might have Trevor Simeon as his starting quarterback.
Yeah, so I don't know what to make of it,
but last year with the Saints,
Trevor Simeon just peppered his running backs with targets.
You know, and Kamara only played, I think, two of those games.
Yeah.
Running back at seven to eight targets.
No, he only played one game. Running back at seven to eight targets in all four games. Yeah. A running back had seven to eight targets. No,
he only played one game.
A running back
had seven to eight targets
in all four games.
Kamara,
Mark Ingram twice,
and Ty Montgomery.
That was not the case
when he was a starter
with Denver.
He wasn't throwing
to the running backs
a lot there.
I think it was like
Devante Booker.
So,
you know,
how does that factor?
Yeah.
I mean,
I think he's probably
a guy who's going to do
the things that his coaches
tell him to do.
And the Saints, that's a pretty big part of their offense is throwing to their running backs it wasn't as
much with the broncos and hasn't really been as much with the bears this season but it's hard to
know because they're not going to run the exact same offense right exactly right right it's hard
to um but i don't think they're going to install something completely new either i think it's just
gonna be a lot of carries for three and a half yards.
The Jets do allow the eighth most receiving yards
per game to running backs.
It's not an easy matchup
for sure. Damian Pierce or David Montgomery?
Pierce.
Kenyon Drake or David Montgomery?
That's determined
by Gus Edwards.
But even with what Justice Hill did last week,
I don't have no faith
in Kenny and Drake.
You'd go with...
I don't have a lot of faith
in David Montgomery
against the Jets.
Yeah.
And you don't have
any faith in Mooney
or Kemet, basically.
Although, Kemet,
you have in your top 12.
Mooney...
He is...
Yeah.
I'd start him over
Evan Ingram.
Okay.
What do you think the Mike White impact is?
I think it's probably slightly more accurate passes.
A little bit more volume for the running backs.
I was going to possibly upgrade the wide receivers a little bit,
but the fact that Corey Davis is back,
I think really muddies the whole situation.
I would be surprised in a game like this.
It depends.
If field starts and the Bears offense is the Bears offense,
then maybe the Jets actually have to throw a little bit.
But if they're playing against a Trevor Simeon-led offense,
then it might just be 20 touches apiece
for James Robinson and Michael Carter.
So would you start Garrett Wilson or Christian Watson,
who you also don't want to start?
Right. I believe they're back-to-back.
They're definitely in my 30s.
I do have Watson one spot over Wilson,
but they are separated by.02 points in my projections.
Would you start Garrett Wilson or
David Montgomery?
I would start
Montgomery. Okay.
Michael Carter or Garrett Wilson?
I would start
Carter. Okay. Alright.
Look, this is not a game we're super excited
about from a fantasy standpoint.
Sit Tyler Conklin, I assume?
He's right behind Komet, right in the same range.
I probably would like them both a little more
if Fields is confirmed to play.
Let's go to Houston.
One thing that's happened,
because the Vegas information does impact my projections,
and we've seen the over-under in this game crash
as if they don't
think that justin fields is going to play right uh by the way jets dst is top 10 houston is at
that's don't not if uh fields plays i assume right uh houston is at miami your statement of the game
miami is so good weeks one through three and seven through 10
are Tua's healthy games.
They are undefeated.
They are tied with the Chiefs for the NFL lead
in yards per play.
Just in the seven games that Tua stayed healthy.
They have averaged the most yards per pass play
in the NFL in those seven games.
Their running backs are 18th in yards per carry among all running NFL in those seven games. Their running backs are 18th in yards per carry
among all running backs in those seven games.
But there's really a lot of interesting stuff here in this game
because the Texans give up the, I think,
the fourth fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks and wide receivers.
It's top four in both.
Yeah, but that's more of like
a neat
fact than it is
like nobody's sitting 2-0 Waddle Hill.
I know.
I just want to bring it up. I want to see
what happens here because what happens is
teams run and run and run
and run and run on the
Texans. They have seen the most running back carries per
game in the NFL.
It limits the opportunities.
They also have a couple of good cornerbacks.
They've been very good against the slot.
Tyree kill plays probably about 40% of his snaps out of the slot.
So of course I'm not going to sit here and tell you to start these guys,
but on paper,
this might be the toughest matchup all year for Tua.
He did have a game recently where he faced a team that was good against
quarterbacks and he lit them up. Who was it? It was, I think it was, I think it was Cleveland
because there are another team that everybody runs on and he threw, he scored like 29 points.
All right. So I won't make it too complicated. Heath it's start, start your dolphins. How do
you feel about Jeff Wilson and Raheem Mostert?
Jeff Wilson is a mid-range number two running back.
I feel like I might be a little too low on him.
I've been trying to move him up a little bit.
I'm still, I think, five spots below where Jamie is,
but top 20 for sure.
Raheem Mostert is a high-end flex
right in the Zeke DeAndre Swift range.
Yeah, just to go back to what I was saying,
you look at the Browns.
Justin Herbert scored 16 points against the Browns. Lamar Jackson scored nine. Joe Burrow scored 17. I don't think, no,
Chase did not play in that game. That was that Monday night debacle. Josh Allen scored 13 against
the Browns. Tua scored 29 on 32 pass steps with a 135 passer rating. Wilson or how about we do some wide receivers?
Wilson or Christian Kirk?
Kirk in PPR, Wilson in everything else.
Worth noting, Wilson
did take over the third down roll in
week 10. They kind of split it in
week 9, Mostert and Wilson. He took it over
in week 10. Michael Pittman
or Jeff Wilson?
I think that's still Pittman
and full PPR.
Yes, Wilson and everything else.
Okay, how about
Cortland Sutton?
If Jerry Judy were out,
Cortland Sutton or Wilson?
Same thing as the first two.
They're all right in the same range.
Okay.
Sit Kyle Allen,
Damian Pierce.
Here's what's working
against Damian Pierce.
The Dolphins allow 3.67 yards per carry to running backs.
And they have seen the fourth fewest running back carries per game.
You know, they run up the score.
It's hard to run against them.
That's tough.
They've also allowed the third fewest running back carries of 10 plus yards.
Third fewest running back carries of 20 plus yards.
But if you look at the game log,
it's weird. There have been a lot
of running backs who have run successfully
against the Dolphins,
but not enough to matter
basically, not enough to be fantasy impactful.
So it's a lot working against Damian Pierce
here. So where do you have him ranked?
Right around RB20.
One spot higher in non-PPR
than full PPR.
Would start some Ajayaj AP Ryan over him.
Would start Latavius Murray and Jeff Wilson over him.
Okay.
If he has a bad game and you can still make a trade,
it might not be the worst idea.
The schedule's not exactly easy.
We can talk about that after the game.
Cooks and Collins, sit him?
Yeah.
I prefer Collins.
He's in the number three conversation.
Okay.
It is a good matchup.
Kyle Allen's better than what Davis Mills has been this season.
Yeah.
All right.
That's it for that game.
Dolphins DST is in play uh uh you have them 14th dave and
jamie have them in the top six the dolphins dst what do you think yeah they're right around
they're a low-end starter i'm still not sure they're good oh yeah i don't think they are
they might be in this game the te Texans are a great matchup.
It's a good week for DSTs, as we've said on the Waiver Wire show.
I don't know if there's any... Do I need to expand on Nico Collins and Brandon Cooks?
Would you start...
Brandon Cooks, you don't at all.
He's not in my top 48 wide receivers.
Nico, I think there are some guys that I would start him over
that other people would not.
I think he's the number one.
He's the downfield wide receiver.
We have seen the Dolphins give up some big plays.
There's probably going to be garbage times.
There's probably going to be more pass attempts
than there have been for most of the year for the Texans.
Collins is in that 30 to 36 range for me at wide receiver.
Let's go to Pittsburgh at Indianapolis.
And who wins?
You know, I just did my pick-em,
and I picked the Steelers.
So I'm going to stick with that.
I don't feel very confident in it.
I think defenses win.
Instead of stats of the game,
I'm going to give you some trends of the game.
I already mentioned the first one.
In the last two games, the Colts won at the Raiders.
They lost by one of the Eagles.
They have thrown 28 and 32 passes in those games.
They have 26 and 25 running back carries in those two games.
The other trend is that Kenny Pickett in two games since the buy has been throwing the
ball downfield a lot more.
And that is an awesome thing to see.
Now he's been a lot more inaccurate.
His off target rate is way up.
But if you watched him, I watched almost every throw he made last week.
I think it was pretty encouraging.
People are encouraged. Let's see if he can back it up.
I'm not proclaiming
anything here, but
when you talk about guys who are available
in most leagues, I think he's 30% rostered.
And this is a scenario where you could see
him having a nice finish to the season.
So Heath, you said you picked him up. You were high on him
last week, and it came through and he would have had a huge game if Pickens didn't drop that
touchdown. So yeah, what are you seeing from the Steelers? Are you generally encouraged by the
offense since the bye, these two games? The offensive line is playing better.
The run game is working better. Pickett looks a little bit more comfortable.
And he didn't last week, but he's also been running a little bit more in the last few weeks as well.
So I just think that as bad as things were, listen, there's a reason that Mike Tomlin's never had a losing season.
Or he's had one maybe.
But he's a really good coach, and they're improving.
I still don't think they're particularly good, but you're right.
If Pickens catches that pass,
then Kenny Pickett is a consensus top 12 quarterback.
He's probably rostered in 60% of leagues instead of 30%.
That's just how it works.
Yeah, and you said comfortable.
That's exactly how I felt.
He looked confident.
He seemed to know where he was going with the football,
moving pretty well in the pocket,
but still has trouble with
inaccurate balls. He throws a lot of bad passes.
Also, has
not thrown an interception in his last two games.
All that is to say that Kenny Pickett is
15th for Heath, 16th for Jamie, 20th
for Dave. You could start him. Who would you
start him over? Would you start him over Derek Carr?
I would start him over Carr,
Cousins Rogers
Tannehill okay Najee Harris uh Damian Pierce or Najee Harris this he Najee Harris is one of the
sneaky tough ones to rank um with Thursday guys because Najee Harris over Damian Pierce for sure
if Jalen Warren doesn't play if Jalen Warren play, Najee Harris is probably not a top 20 running back for me.
So I don't think there's anybody that I'm going to move.
A lot of times in this situation, I'll move a guy down.
I don't think there's anybody playing on Thursday that I want to move him behind
because that'd be Jamal Williams and Devin Singletary.
And I think I'd rather take my chances on Najee playing.
A running back has scored 12 or more PPR fantasy points
in all but one game against the Colts.
And that one game was last week.
Miles Sanders, who had a terrible game.
This is the deal.
They have a very good run defense.
3.76 yards per carry to allowed running backs.
They give up a lot of production
through the air
to running backs.
And that's why
Jalen Warren is a really big deal
in this game.
Right.
They're also giving up
some touchdowns.
But in their last four games,
the Colts have held
both Washington running backs
to 19 to 20 rushing yards.
Ramondre Stevenson had 60.
Josh Jacobs had 78 yards on 21 carries. That's not great. Miles Sanders had 20 rushing yards. Ramondre Stevenson had 60. Josh Jacobs had 78 yards on 21 carries.
That's not great.
Miles Sanders had 47 rushing yards.
So it's not an easy matchup.
You'd like to see Warren out.
How about the Pittsburgh wide receivers?
Is it clearly Pickens over Deontay at this point?
At this point, it has to be.
I don't have a ton of confidence
that it's going to stay that way.
Mike Tomlin basically said teams
are taking Deontay Johnson away, so we
have to get other guys open.
But this
week, it has to be.
They're still not
top 36 guys.
Well, the Colts allow the fewest
fantasy points to wide receivers,
but I brought it up last week. This is typically
what happens. One guy has a good game
and everyone else is dreadful.
And last week it was Devante Smith
who had 78 yards on nine targets
and A.J. Brown was dreadful.
60 yards on seven targets and a fumble.
So, I don't know.
A lead wide receiver has had 78 or more yards
in I think seven of 10 games. Yeah. Do you think that's 78
yards? I think in seven of 10 games against the Colts for the number one wide receiver,
whoever it ended up being. I don't have anybody projected for more than 51 yards,
but that's just one more catch for somebody like Pickens. So you're probably going to need a big
play to get that. I think the guy who might have 78 yards is Pat Frymuth.
Oh, yeah, must-start guy, right?
Yeah, and I wrote about this earlier this week,
but it's so dumb that he's only scored one touchdown this year.
And it should remind everybody that from the seven last year
and the one this year,
and no, this is not what we would expect to happen,
but Cole Komet scored zero touchdowns in 28 straight games
and then scored five over a three-week stretch.
Pat Fryermuth is just a couple of touchdowns away
from everyone recognizing him as a top five dynasty and redraft tight end.
Only three green zone targets for Pat Fryermuth,
so let's change that.
But he is like you can almost pencil him in
for about 60 yards, if not more.
And four straight games with seven or more targets.
And he seems to have really benefited
from the Claypool trade.
Yep.
On the other side of the ball,
who are you starting for the Colts?
Starting Jonathan Taylor, starting Michael Pittman,
starting Paris Campbell in a three-wide receiver league.
That's it.
Najee Harris or the Colts wide receiver?
I mean, it's really dependent on Jalen Warren.
Okay.
In full PPR, he'd be behind both of them if Warren was playing.
He's definitely ahead both of them if Warren's not.
You said you'd start Pittman
over David Montgomery in full PPR.
Would you start Paris Campbell over David Montgomery?
I would not.
Would you start Paris Campbell or Traylon Burks?
Paris Campbell, for sure.
Okay.
No interest in
Alec Pierce?
No, he would need another week.
This is an interesting game because
the Steelers, they see...
I think this is a really interesting slate.
I mean, almost every game I was like,
whoa, this is a really cool matchup. It's like a yin-yang
sort of deal. The Steelers,
they see the third most air yards
per pass attempt in the NFL.
Teams on average throw the ball deep
on the Steelers.
That's not what the Colts do ever with Matt Ryan. He is the shortest passer on average in the ball deep on the Steelers. Well, that's not what the Colts do ever
with Matt Ryan.
He is the shortest passer on average
in the NFL.
We'll see what happens.
We'll see what conflicting styles.
But it is a good matchup.
The Steelers give up the third most
fantasy points to wide receivers.
And they are terrible against slot receivers.
You should know that.
They allow the second most yards,
the most yards per catch, and the seventh most touchdowns to slot receivers. But you know that. They allow the second most yards, the most yards per catch,
and the seventh most touchdowns to slot receivers.
But you know what's interesting about that, Heath,
is like last week,
they were great against Tyler Boyd,
but they gave up a lot of production
to T. Higgins in the slot.
So I do talk about this a lot now,
or somewhat frequently now,
is what teams do against the slot.
It's not always the slot receiver. It's just whoever's lining up in the slot and sometimes there are multiple guys
lining up in the slot on each play uh do you like a dst in this game i like the steelers as a
borderline starter colts are fine too but i prefer the steelers tampa bay is at Cleveland. Let me get your thoughts on this,
what I consider encouraging signs
from the Tampa Bay win against Seattle
way back in week 10 before the bye.
I had been bitching about Chris Godwin's route depth.
He doesn't run any routes.
Those short routes, not healthy.
He ran, had by far his highest average route depth
of the season.
Tom Brady had his highest air yards for pass attempts since week two. He had his highest average route depth of the season. Tom Brady had his highest air yards
for pass attempts since week two.
He had his highest completion percentage.
He had his best yards per attempt of the season.
And to me, it really coincided
with the run game getting going
because even though the pass attempts were down,
they started finally, they converted on third down.
They were 67% on third down.
They were 10 of 15,
and they only had six of their 15 third downs of third
and five or longer. So I just think that even though they ran the ball more, Heath, it put them
in more favorable situations and made their offense much more efficient. Godwin was running deeper
downfield. Brady was throwing downfield. Good. Thoughts? I mean, it it's one game so it could be an encouraging trend if it happens again
okay because that stat took me six hours to research so i need a little validation here
i just i think that that the thing it's difficult is especially with the running game
is that rashad white had not been any good at all until after Fournette got hurt until basically
the fourth quarter of that game yeah um Fournette had scored the touchdown he was more efficient as
a rusher he had more carries in the game um and so I I don't even know for sure who's going to
get the first carry if Fournette's healthy yeah who would you rank higher for an editor? White? I had four net ranked one spot higher. And then I saw the quote, um, from the idea. I don't remember if it was which, which coach it was from about how sore for net was still and how much he was going to have to improve before the game. And so now I've got wide ahead of four net. Um, but neither one in my top 25 if they're both playing. I want to pause to read this question from Kevin.
How many wedgies did Adam endure during his high school years over under 45?
That's a lot.
That's a lot of wedgies.
That would be like 10 per year.
I'm going to go under.
It was zero.
I went to a very small high school.
We didn't really have bullies.
I was fairly popular.
I will say that i have sure you
know nominated for homecoming king and prom king no big deal it's whatever but i just want to bring
this up because i forgot to say it earlier guess who went to my high school he is starting this
week at quarterback um kyle allen mike white went to my high school yeah not at the same time
obviously but go mike white uh starter he was younger than you much younger than me he's like to my high school. Not at the same time, obviously. But go Mike White.
He was younger than you?
Much younger than me.
He's like 15 years younger than me or something.
And my team, I have a high school.
When I went to high school there,
we didn't have a football team.
And then all of a sudden,
we became a state champion a few years after starting the program.
Tom Brady, start or sit?
Well, it helps when you play against schools. Are you playing eight-man
football? Was that the size of the school? No.
When I went there, if we had a
football team, I could have started at middle linebacker.
We're a very
small, nerdy
school.
No, they started recruiting
legitimate talent,
five-star recruits, basically,
college players. They became a terrific school.
They were outstanding.
I don't know what the deal is now, but Mike White went there.
Anyway, Tom Brady, start or sit?
He's not in my top 12, but if you have Tom Brady, you're probably starting him.
There are no streamers I would start over him.
Okay.
If Mike,
if Fournette is out,
I asked you this earlier,
where would you rank Mike White?
Because to me,
it's like,
okay.
I don't think Fournette's going to affect Mike White.
Rashad White.
To me,
this is the second best matchup in fantasy.
They give up the second most points to running backs.
5.3 yards per carry to running backs.
You know you're going to get catches.
You think you're going to get catches anyway from the running back.
I mean, it seems like an absolute dream
come true. Why wouldn't he be top
12, top 15 at worst?
I think I'd
put him around 18, and I would
be not certain that he was
going to get catches. I believe
after Fournette got hurt, they were splitting touches
between him and Keyshawn Vaughn.
Okay.
Alright. How do you feel about Goblin and Evans? After Fournette got hurt, they were splitting touches between him and Keyshawn Vaughn. Okay. All right.
How do you feel about Goblin and Evans?
They are both high-end number two wide receivers.
I'm very likely starting both right in the same T. Higgins-Jamar Chase range.
Listen to this stat.
Mike Williams in week five had 134 yards against the Browns.
Since then, they've played five games.
No wide receiver has more than 68 yards.
That includes T. Higgins and Tyler Boyd, Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddell,
Stephon Diggs and Gabe Davis in three straight games.
None of them have more than 68 yards.
Some of them are catching touchdowns,
but also I don't think any of them have more than seven targets.
So that's what's happening here. It's in last five games yeah i love these stats well it's the i just every time
you say something like that i wish we could put up a twitter or a youtube poll immediately
how many wide receivers in those five games have between 60 and 67 yards
okay that's but that's you don't want that.
You want more than that.
And we're talking about Tyreek Hill, Jalen Waddell, T. Higgins,
Stephon Diggs, Gabe Davis here.
They've done a great job against these guys in three straight games.
Two of them coinciding with Denzel Ward coming back from injury.
So, you know, what's happening, Heath, is these guys,
none of them have more than seven targets.
These teams have run the ball so much that it's killing the wide receivers.
I'm sorry.
I'm being distracted by Schaefer, who's put a Wikipedia link to your high school and telling me you're not a notable alumni.
Agreed.
Josh Gad went there.
The guy who played Steve on Full House and voiced Aladdin, he went there.
But I am not a notable alumni.
I agree.
I feel like you should be.
No. Yeah. He went there, but I am not a notable alumni. I agree. I feel like you should be. No, I...
Yeah, there have been a lot of rush attempts
against the Browns.
They've been terrible against the run.
I'm starting Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
Okay.
Last thing on Mike Evans, just a little note.
He's actually...
How much time has Chris Godwin missed this year?
No Gronkowski, very little Julio Jones.
Mike Evans has five green zone targets.
He used to dominate that.
Two years in a row with Brady,
he was among the NFL leaders in targets
inside the 10-yard line and a lot in the end zone.
He's tied with Chris Godwin.
They both have five.
So that's been a role that you could bank on.
It's not happening.
By the way, Julio Jones, any interest?
Not really.
He's a boom-bust flex, but
I think a bust is more likely than a boom.
I tried to drop Terrace Marshall
for Julio Jones, hoping
Julio's getting into the swing of things here.
And I don't know
if it went through or not. We'll find out. Starter said Kate Otten.
I don't want to.
High end number two.
You're sitting Brissette. You're starting Chubb. You're sitting Nick Hunt. Kareem Hunt. High end number two. You're sitting Brissette.
You're starting Chubb.
You're sitting Nick Hunt.
Kareem Hunt.
Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt.
I've combined them.
Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones.
Your thoughts?
I am starting Amari Cooper without any question.
Donovan Peoples-Jones is more of a boom-bust number three wide receiver.
Donovan Peoples-Jones is more of a boom-bust number three wide receiver. Donovan Peoples-Jones or Leonard Fournette
if he plays, obviously.
Assuming that he's
a full go and it's not like
they're uncertain of our easy game
time decision, then I would start Fournette.
Okay.
Only
three wide receivers have more than 73 yards against the Bucs this year, so they've been pretty good against wide receivers. And what do you think about Njoku?
If, again, kind of like Fournette, if he could get to a full practice and he's going to be okay, then I think he'd be a top 12 tight end. Right now, with multiple injuries, including a new one, and his lack of participation last week,
he's just outside my top 12.
The Rams are at the Chiefs.
Sum this game up in 10 seconds.
Wow, the Rams suck.
So there's not a Rams player besides Tyler Higbee
ranked in the top 40 of their position.
I would start Mahomes, Kelsey, Pacheco's a flex. Juju's
a start if he plays. Sky Moore is the best Chiefs wide receiver if Juju
doesn't play. We don't expect Kadarius Tony at this time.
Talk to me about Cam Akers versus
Isaiah Pacheco. I would much rather start isaiah pacheco
i think they're kind of the same guy except one team has an implied total of 30 and the
other one has an implied total of 13 what this is that the spread is 17 points
no it might have been a slight exaggeration wow i think it's 29 and a quarter to 14 and a quarter,
maybe 15 right now.
It should be 17.
It should be 25.
14 and a half currently.
Pacheco's pretty frustrating from a full PPR standpoint.
He is.
And the Rams do have a good run defense.
The last three weeks, four nets averaged two.
You can't expect a defense to be good at anything
with as little help as they're getting from their offense.
If Juju does not play, where would you rank Sky Moore,
assuming Tony's out?
I'd tell we have it ranked right now,
and Sky Moore is currently, I think, wide receiver 36 for me,
right behind Christian Watson and Garrett Wilson.
Behind Donovan Peoples-Jones? I and Garrett Wilson. Behind Donovan people's Jones.
I would start Sky more over Donovan people's Jones.
Okay.
I think he's the very next guy.
And if Juju plays,
you'd rank him where Juju would be around wide receiver 20 and Sky more
would not be in my top 48 anymore.
Let's go enjoy our Thanksgiving,
huh?
Absolutely.
I'll be on CBS sports HQ in a little under two hours.
Yeah. Thanksgiving, huh? Absolutely. I'll be on CBS Sports HQ in a little under two hours. And I don't know if I'm going to Thanksgiving
at my wife's family's place
or if we're just doing it here.
You've not decided where you're having Thanksgiving yet?
No.
My daughter has RSV,
but she is a lot better now.
So we thought a few days ago, there's no chance we're going anywhere.
But she's really improved.
Probably not contagious anymore.
But it is like if we go, we are cooking nothing.
If we don't go, we are making a ham, mashed potatoes, corn souffle, and green bean casserole so i mean suggestion yeah
you should go i don't want to get anyone sick no that's true yeah it's that's it's just you know
no if it's whether you think she's contagious anymore obviously i don't think she is that i
think you should go all right i appreciate that you Could also do what David A is suggesting. Go pick up food and
come home. That'd be pretty messed up. All right. Happy Thanksgiving, everybody. Really appreciate
it. We love having you part of the show. I can't believe so many people got up early to watch us
on Thanksgiving morning. And for all of you listening, appreciate that too. Hope you have
an amazing day and an amazing weekend with your family and your friends. And for Heath Cummings jamie eisberg and thomas schaefer i'm adam we'll talk to you
tomorrow with starter sit for the nfc home games
