This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports.
What a play!
Can you believe this?
No, I can't.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
This is going to go the distance.
Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
We welcome you on this Thursday morning to Fantasy Football Today,
presented by BetMGM, the sportsbook born in Vegas.
Can the Bears offense get going on Sunday night in a tough matchup at Houston?
Can Joe Burrow have another big game against the Chiefs?
He has pretty good history against Kansas City Chiefs.
Are we starting Isaiah Likely?
Big name.
Are we starting Isaiah Likely this week?
Adam, Jamie, and Heath here breaking down eight AFC home games.
Technically seven.
We'll throw Green Bay hosting Indianapolis in there as well.
We'll have the starts and the sits for each of those games.
We also have to talk about Miami against Buffalo,
but you guys are doing rankings,
so I'm going to make you rank the three primetime games.
How would you rank them?
Buffalo, Miami, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia.
Thursday, Monday, Sunday.
Yeah, it's like Thursday, enormous gap.
Put the other two in a tier and I don't care.
Strong disagree on Monday over Sunday.
Sunday over Monday for sure.
Thursday, Sunday, Monday.
I want to see the Falcons more than I want to see the Bears.
I don't think either one of those games,
and this will probably end up looking dumb,
but I don't really think either one of those games are going to this will probably end up looking dumb, but I don't really think either one of those games
are going to be competitive.
Thank goodness we had the primetime games,
well, at least Sunday night and Thursday night,
and Friday night last week,
because the rest of the week was kind of crummy.
All right, guys, let's start with primetime, Thursday night.
Raheem Mostert's been ruled out.
Devon Achan is a game-time decision with an ankle injury.
Raheem Mostert has a chest injury.
Jeff Wilson's 43% roster.
Jalen Wright is 61% rostered.
Obviously, we'll get the practice report,
and we'll hopefully know more.
Hopefully, it's not a true game-time decision.
It rarely is.
You'll know at some point beforehand about Devon Achan.
But, Jamie, what are you telling fantasy managers right now
as the Dolphins get ready for the Bills?
I mean, you should be adding Jeff Wilson
more so than you should be Jalen Wright
if you need someone.
Now, if you don't need someone for this game
or this weekend, I'd rather stash Jalen Wright
because if he ever gets a chance, I think, to prove himself,
he's going to, I would hope,
leap over Jeff Wilson as the third guy.
But we don't know how long this Mostert injury is going to last.
I don't think this HN injury is anything long-term if he does miss tonight's game because he was moving around at practice on Wednesday, even though they listed him as DNP.
So we shall see.
I would anticipate Jeff Wilson, Keith and I talked about this yesterday once we got the news that Mostert was ruled out on CBS Sports Network.
He almost just slot Jeff Wilson into the Raheem Mostert role and hope that he's going to get those goal line opportunities and the carries.
And that a chance kind of stays in his role, which is fantastic for him.
You know, so maybe he gets the goal line chances more so than Wilson.
I don't know,
but I would just kind of view Wilson as a most replacement.
Yeah.
I've got Wilson.
I like a chance.
A must start.
If he plays,
I've got Wilson as a high end flex,
almost an RB two.
I think he's RB 27 for me,
but I would start Wilson over the mirror, over DeAndre Swift, over
Chuba Hubbard.
I'd start him over Zach Moss.
Jerome Ford?
Oh, no. Jerome Ford's a top 12 running back.
Come on. Yeah, not Jerome Ford, but over
like Javante Swift, those guys.
Okay.
Okay, that's fine. I'll leave it at that.
All right.
Stay tuned on Twitter. We'll leave it at that. All right, that's, you know, stay tuned on Twitter.
We'll give you some advice if you need it,
but we'll wait and see if Devon Achan is ruled out.
Let's go to some players we love and players to avoid.
Would you like to go first? Just real quick, if Achan is ruled out,
Wilson's a top 20 running back,
and Jalen Wright's not far behind.
Yeah.
Okay. So, Heath Heath you want to start
with players we love it's Jerome Forge oh okay for me um no 18 touches in a terrible game script
in week one against the Cowboys Pierre Strong was barely involved had four touches in that game
I like the matchup better against Jacksonville than I did against Dallas.
I think the absence of David Njoku probably means a couple more running back
targets in this offense.
And Jerome Ford is a top 12 running back for me this week and may just stay a
top 12 running back until Nick Chubb comes back.
All right.
Jaguars.
I mean, they did a pretty good job on the ground against Mostert and A-Chan, but they continue to trend. Last year, the Jaguars gave up the third most receiving yards per game to running backs. Last week, they gave up the third most receiving yards to running backs. It was mostly Devon A-Chan. But that could be something that Jerome Ford is able to take advantage of. So Jerome Ford is a player that Heath loves. Jamie, who do you love? Who's our star of the week? J.K. Dobbins. Top 12 running back for me this week. Just a fantastic setup coming off the game
that he had. 10 carries, 135 yards and touchdown, two carries over 40 yards. Factored into that,
and I know he lost. He had one less carry than Gus Edwards, but Gus Edwards averaged 2.4 yards
per carry. I can't imagine that we're going to see them with that similar type of workload.
I would hope they give Dobbins some more opportunities in this matchup against Carolina.
They just lost their best interior defensive lineman, Derek Brown's out with a knee injury,
and they were miserable against Alvin Kamara and Jamal Williams throughout the course of
that game last week, plus whatever Taysom Hill did on top of that as a rusher.
So run defense is bad.
Opportunity's great.
I think this is Dob. Opportunity is great.
I think this is Dobbins'
time to shine. As long as he's healthy and producing like this in this offense, he could be an
absolute superstar.
Dobbins or Ford? Who do you guys
like better?
I like Dobbins better.
Ford for me.
We like them both. Jerome Ford at the Jaguars.
J.K. Dobbins at Carolina.
Our sports line loves Dobbins.
They have him as RB6.
Me, oh my.
You can see Dave and Heath are a little bit lower.
They have him as a low-end RB2.
Jamie has him 12th, J.K. Dobbins.
And players to avoid this week.
Jamie, who are we sitting?
If you can, I would sit George Pickens.
Tough matchup against Patrick Sertan.
Justin Fields did great with Pickens
last week, better than I anticipated. 6 for 85
knowing that AJ Terrell was on the other side
and Fields didn't throw the ball very much.
Clearly, this is their go-to guy, but we saw
this with DK Metcalf last week.
Sertan takes away
your best receiver, and there's no other
receiving threat for the Steelers that you got to worry about.
So,
um,
not a top 24 receiver.
I would only start pickings in three receiver leagues.
I hate it,
but yeah,
I knew you were,
I had a feeling you were going to go there cause it makes sense.
Uh,
he did play almost 30%.
No,
it was,
I think it was 29% of his snaps in the slot,
which is a,
you know,
would be a career high over a season we'll
see if that you know that's good it's not enough but that's it's good might help uh pickens yeah
he did have like a 36 yard catch called back on a really weak pass interference call but yeah
sirtan is the eraser that's just oh and there's another one i'll see if if he gets them i'll bring
up another guy who might get shadowed by a good cornerback.
But Heath, who are you avoiding?
I am not going to say Calvin Ridley, which I think is what you want me to say.
Nope.
But if you wanted to say Calvin Ridley, I would understand it.
He's a borderline wide receiver, too.
High-end wide receiver, too.
DeAndre Swift, for me, just an absolutely miserable week one.
A terrible matchup in week two.
I don't really feel like the Texans are going to be or the Bears are going to be super competitive in this game.
So it probably turns into a pass heavy game for Caleb Williams.
And there was only one target for DeAndre Swift in week one, despite the fact that Caleb Williams only averaged 6.3 air yards per attempt.
So I'd like to stay away from the Bears running back.
Here's the other guy that I think might get shadowed.
DK Metcalf, again.
Yeah.
I tweeted about him.
I almost said him.
He's a wide receiver 30 for me this week.
So I'd be okay with sitting him too.
Yeah.
Christian Gonzalez did shadow Jamar Chase.
He even followed Chase into the slot.
Not on every slot snap. In fact, Jamar
Chase's best catch was around 30 yards.
Was out of the slot,
not on Christian Gonzalez. But Metcalf
really doesn't go into the slot much.
And Gonzalez, I think he's gonna...
There's a good chance he can shadow him.
I think he's pretty good.
Every week,
every time Metcalf has a tough... Pretty much
every time he has a tough matchup against a tough cornerback that shadows, it doesn't go well. Jamie, where do you have time Metcalf has a tough, pretty much every time he has a tough matchup
against a tough cornerback that shadows,
it doesn't go well.
Jamie, where do you have DK Metcalf?
In the top 20,
but I have to adjust some receiver rankings.
He'll probably still be in the top 24,
but I'll drop him a few spots.
All right.
So we'll talk about that game in a little bit.
We got some great programming for you.

2023 dirt report here are your news and notes christian mccaffrey we're not expecting him to
play at this point at minnesota this week jordan mason will get probably another go.
If you have Mason, yeah.
You'd start Jeff Wilson over Mason,
because you don't know.
McCaffrey could play.
But what do you do about the Thursday-Sunday conundrum?
If McCaffrey does not practice, I would wait it out.
McCaffrey, wait.
He practiced yesterday, though, right?
Wasn't he limited?
Yeah, they did list him as limited.
So, yeah, it stinks.
If he does not practice in full on Thursday, I will wait out
for Jordan Mason because there's more upside with Jordan
Mason unless Devon Achan is out.
Okay, so if Devon Achan's
out and Christian McCaffrey
does not practice on Thursday,
you're going to just play it safe and start Wilson over Mason,
or are you going to try to wait it out?
If he does not practice at all, he's limited.
What, you said Achan was out?
Okay, Achan's out.
I'm just starting Wilson.
Over Mason.
Okay.
Hypothetically, if I told you that McCaffrey were ruled out on Thursday and Achan were ruled out, who would you rank higher, Wilson or Mason? Mason. Mason. Okay. Hypothetically, if I told you that McCaffrey were ruled out on Thursday
and A-Chan were ruled out, who would you rank higher, Wilson or Mason?
Mason.
Mason.
Okay.
Raheem Mostert out, A-Chan questionable.
We know that.
Ty Johnson's going to play tonight.
So remember, third down back.
Guess we will not see an increase in that role for James Cook.
Ken Walker mispracticed with an oblique injury.
Seattle's going to be without one of their best
pass rushers, Uchenna Nwosu.
That's an interesting one, though, with
the Seattle running back. Yeah, I know. I didn't know
if I wanted to go down that road again.
Go ahead. You can... No, I mean, it's
the same situation, right? Because Charbonnet
would be fantastic.
So, yeah,
if Walker misses again Thursday, you'd almost have to start wilson over either one
unless you have both scenario is is charbonnet versus wilson and the dolphin situation
yeah or wilson versus walker yeah great walker doesn't practice on thursday i'm playing wilson
instead yeah i am too but if walker doesn't practice and Thursday. I'm playing Wilson instead. Yeah, I am too.
But if Walker doesn't practice and I'm
deciding between Wilson and Charbonnet, I might wait that out.
Pukunukua could
miss more than four games.
Pukunukua could miss more than four games.
Lame. Jordan Love
has not been ruled out yet for this week's game
against the Colts. David Njoku
is out for week two, but they are not putting
him on IR yet. Jake Ferguson missed practice, but he is feeling better. Hopefully he can get back for this game against the Colts. David Njoku is out for week two, but they are not putting him on IR yet.
Jake Ferguson missed practice,
but he is feeling better.
Hopefully he can get back for this game
against the Saints.
We look at the Bears receivers.
Romo Dunze, day-to-day with a sprained MCL.
Usually missed time with a sprained MCL.
Keenan Allen missed practice with a heel injury.
They're at Houston on Sunday night.
Marquise Brown missed practice.
T. Higgins was not seen at practice.
Did I miss anything? He was out, T. Higgins. Higgins was not seen at practice. Did I miss anything?
He was out, T. Higgins?
I believe he was not seen at practice. You're correct.
Josh Downs was limited in practice.
DeAndre Hopkins is not on the injury report.
I guess I didn't realize. He only played 17 snaps.
He barely played in week one, DeAndre Hopkins.
He's expected to have a bigger role this week. He'll be fine against the Jets.
The Saints
have a couple of secondary injuries to keep an eye on.
Tyron Matthew and Marshawn Lattimore, they mispractice.
They're at Dallas.
Denver wide receiver Josh Reynolds mispractice.
And Audrick Estime is on IR.
And they get Pittsburgh this week.
Sean Payton is searching for somebody on the waiver wire to play over Marvin Mims.
And he needs another running back to Bixit there.
Houston tight end Dalton Schultz mispractice with an ankle injury.
The Raiders are pretty thin at edge rusher.
Tyree Wilson mispractice with a knee injury.
They've already put one guy on IR with a preseason injury, I believe.
So they've got Crosby, but the Raiders,
they need some depth at pass rusher.
Russell Wilson, limited in practice.
Roman Wilson, Pittsburgh rookie receiver.
He was limited in practice.
We're still preparing for Justin Fields.
You guys have Fields ranked.
Huge news.
Darius Slayton missed practice with a concussion.
Get Jalen Hyatt in your lineup, JK.
Tampa Bay defensive tackle,
Elijah Clancy missed practice,
and Jordan Addison mispractice.
It's time for one question for each game.
Chicago's at Houston.
Let's assume Keenan Allen plays in this game.
Rank the wide receivers,
Chicago at Houston,
Nico Collins,
Stefan digs,
tank though.
DJ more.
Can you know? I'll put more ahead of digs and Dell. Stefan Diggs, Tank Dell, DJ Moore, Keenan Allen.
I'll put Moore ahead of Diggs and Dell.
Otherwise, correct.
Agreed.
Cincinnati at Kansas City.
Can we trust Joe Burrow this week?
I would prefer not to.
He is a top 12 quarterback for me.
Just barely inside the top 12 quarterback for me. Um,
just barely inside the top 12.
I would start him over Baker.
Oh,
well,
somebody knew what I was going to ask.
Yeah.
I knew it. You go Burrow over Baker.
I'm going to go Baker over Burrow.
I have that decision to make.
Jamie,
how about you?
Baker over Burrow.
All right,
Jamie,
baking the tie,
you know, bake, Jamie. Baking the tie. You know?
Bake the tie.
No.
I have a team name, but I don't think anyone's going to get it.
Let me just make sure I'm getting it right.
It sounds like one of your team names.
Oh, touchdown there.
I actually screwed it up.
Clive Bigsby.
You guys Modern Family fans?
Yeah. You remember Clive Bigsby you guys modern family fans yeah you remember clive bigsby yeah yeah so but it's i'm looking it up now and it's actually bixby on the on the show but i think it
still works clive bigsby yeah i think it works okay good team name a good team name yes you
probably need a picture of of phil, in the turtleneck?
Yeah, in the turtleneck, just so people know what you're doing here.
Glad Bixby.
Okay, Las Vegas at Baltimore.
Who would you rather start?
Oh, wait, no, I skipped a game.
Cleveland at Jacksonville.
Are you starting any Jaguars wide receivers?
Kirk and Thomas in three receiver leagues.
Probably just Kirk for me this week.
All right, I know we're a little hesitant with George Pickens.
Would you start Christian Kirk or George Pickens?
Kirk.
Pickens.
Now we go to Las Vegas at Baltimore.
Zay Flowers or I've got two questions.
Zay Flowers or Zemir White?
Flowers.
Flowers and Bowers.
I say it likely, or Brock Bowers was my other one.
Both Ravens for me.
Flowers and Bowers.
I'm going to tell you later when we talk about that game
what the BaltimoreRavens.com writer wrote
about basically all the key players as well,
about Likely, about Andrews Andrews and about Derek Henry jets are at the Titans,
Tony Pollard or Calvin Ridley.
Who's a better flex this week.
Pollard.
Pollard.
Do you like Tony Pollard this week?
He's a borderline must start guy.
Definite flex.
Okay.
Zay Flowers or Tony Pollard?
Pollard.
Yeah, Pollard.
Seattle's at New England.
Ramondre Stevenson or DK Metcalf?
Ramondre.
Yeah, Ramondre.
Could you have a team name Flowers Bowers like flower power for mario no i don't
think so flowers powers i think so i think it's just as good as as clyde bixby i don't think so
come on now chat way in uh pittsburgh at denver god these last three games actually these last
four games jets at titans maybe these last five maybe these last six games. Actually, these last four games. Jets at Titans. Maybe these last five.
Maybe these last six games.
Cleveland at Jacksonville.
Vegas at Baltimore.
Jets at Titans.
Seattle at New England.
Pittsburgh at Denver.
Indianapolis at Green Bay.
Ugh, man.
Ugh.
I mean, what are we doing here?
Ugh.
Okay, anyway, Pittsburgh at Denver.
Is this a big day for Najee Harris against this bad run?
It's his bad run defense.
It should be.
I still would rather start him as a flex than anything else.
For me, him and Pollard are very similar.
I don't want to start him if I don't have to,
but they both should do okay.
It's Najee Harris we're talking about here.
Bowers movement.
No.
Yeah, it doesn't work.
I still need to get the...
Maybe Schaefer, if you have a minute.
You don't, but we still need to get the
Bowers soundbite from Little Big League.
Got to throw that in there.
All right, last game, Indianapolis at Green Bay.
Start any Packers?
Jacobs.
Still, you're confident in him?
Yeah, I'm still starting him.
Would you like to know what Derrick Henry did
in three games with Malik Willis as a starter?
Can't imagine it was good.
It was awesome.
The Bowers, the B?
I think he was over.
That's okay.
Derek Henry had 219 yards and two touchdowns,
115 yards and two touchdowns,
and 126 yards and one touchdown in three starts.
Three Malik Willis starts.
Okay.
Does that mean anything?
I have no idea, but it's not a bad thing, I guess.
Okay.
That's one question for each game.
So with that, we will get into our first game,
and that is Chicago at Houston on Sunday night.
Caleb Williams is outside the top 20.
And yeah, not much to say there.
I wanted to hear from you.
I had seen that you tweeted that you had watched
all of Caleb Williams' throws throws and you came away encouraged
and
how? There were plays
to be made. I came away encouraged by the
offense. If he improves, there
were plays to be made. There were open
players. He had, I
think, four or five balls tipped at the line of
scrimmage. He went through some
growing pains, but you had Keenan Allen.
He missed Keenan Allen at what was going to be a huge play. Keenan Allen dropped a touchdown.
You had Keenan Allen also open for a pretty big chunk play. He was wide open and that ball got
tipped at the line of scrimmage. DJ Moore could have had a big play. It didn't happen. So they
left a lot of yards on the field. I think it's not always a good thing. If I didn't have like,
if that were Will Levis, I probably would be less encouraged because I don't have a ton of faith in
will Levis.
But if I,
I do have faith in,
in,
uh,
Caleb Williams and,
you know,
actually they have a pretty good offensive line.
You know,
I think they had like the seventh best pass block grade by PFF.
So I don't know.
I mean,
I'm not saying I'm going and starting these guys against Houston,
but I think I'm not hitting the panic button.
If,
if,
uh,
Caleb can make some gradual improvements throughout the year,
I think that there are plays to be made there.
And like,
you know what I think is this,
I don't think Keenan Allen is just some like washed up slug.
I think he's an asset for them.
And so I like to receive in core still.
And did you see where they had the tweet with the wide receiver top speeds
from week one and Keenan Allen's was like two miles an hour faster than
Marvin Harrison jr. I hour faster than Marvin Harrison Jr.
I did see that.
Marvin Harrison Jr.'s top speed was super low,
which was weird.
And then somebody replied with a tweet from college
where Marvin Harrison ran like 22 miles per hour.
Because what was it?
13 miles per hour?
16.
16 in week one.
Marvin Harrison?
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah, what did you think of that?
It was not a good week for Marvin Harrison.
I didn't like it.
It didn't either.
I will keep this simple here.
You guys are sitting DeAndre Swift.
He's around roughly 30th in the consensus rankings.
Dave's a little higher on him.
So if DJ Moore is your favorite receiver,
Heath, you actually have him pretty high, right?
DJ Moore?
Yeah, he came out higher in the projections than I expected.
But if there's no Roma Dunze and Keenan Allen's got a heel injury, things look pretty good for DJ Moore.
So I think I saw you on 13th.
Did that change?
It's right around there.
Yeah.
High end wide receiver too.
And Jamie, you're 26 on DJ Moore.
Yeah, I need to see something better from Caleb Williams,
whether Odunze and Allen play or not.
I mean, Derek Stingley in that secondary is very good,
and I don't think that they're going to get some plays over the top
like we saw from the Colts with Anthony Richardson.
So I don't want to trust DJ Moore as anything more than a third receiver yet.
Yeah, I wrote in my notes,
DJ Moore schooled his man and was open for a huge play,
possibly a 79-yard touchdown,
but Caleb Williams threw incomplete to Romo Dunzey instead.
But that happens.
I mean, that happens all the time.
Quarterbacks can't see everything.
And for what it's worth,
the Texan secondary was sloppy last week.
It doesn't really show up in the stats,
but Adonai Mitchell could have had a huge game.
Guys were getting behind them.
Sit the Bears tight ends.
Let's go to CJ Stroud.
Any streamers
or players that were
drafted after him
that you'd be starting
over CJ Stroud
against the Bears?
Jay Daniels.
And Anthony Richardson.
Okay, Daniels and Richardson.
Not Baker Mayfield.
No, I was drafting
Richardson ahead of Stroud,
so I would take him in.
Any hesitation on Joe Mixon?
No.
He's a start.
Yeah, Bears have a really good run defense.
Mixon, though, all those touches.
Longest run was 13 yards in week one,
but he had a good game.
So if A-chance ruled out,
would you start Jeff Wilson or Mixon?
Mixon.
Mixon.
If Ken Walker's ruled out, Charbonnet against the Patriots or Mixon?
Mixon.
Mixon.
Okay.
And Nico, I don't think anyone's taking him out of the lineup,
but maybe he'll get Jalen Johnson.
We'll see.
Jamie, you seem higher.
No, you just seem lower on DJ Moore.
But when you ranked the receivers,
you ranked all three of the Texans ahead of DJ Moore.
So how much do you like Dell and Diggs, or Diggs and Dell?
I think Dell and Diggs might have a better opportunity than Nico Collins
because of the perimeter corners for the Bears
as opposed to those two guys playing in the slot.
We talked about this, that Stephon digs saw a lot of time there so we'll see if that matters for him more
so than dell but i think both those guys from a matchup perspective in a better spot so i i just
like the situation for all three texans more so than i do the bears guys mostly because i trust
the quarterback better both both tough defenses.
But until Caleb Williams shows me something,
I don't want to say DJ Moore is a must-start in a two-receiver league.
Are there running backs?
You know, Tony Pollard, Ramondre Stevenson,
Najee Harris, Javante Williams.
Who amongst that group are you starting
ahead of Dell or Diggs?
None of those guys over Dell or Diggs,
but I would start all of those aside from Javante over DJ Moore.
Jerome Ford over Dell and Diggs for me.
Yeah.
I feel like I'm going to be asking some form of that question
every single week.
Yeah.
Like the running back, the flex running back versus Dell and Diggs.
We'll see.
And sit Dalton Schultz, and Houston's DST is top 12.
They did not have a good week one, but they're top 12.
Cincinnati's at Kansas City.
Talked about Burrow earlier.
He is, last I checked, 13th for Jamie.
11th for me. And now 11th for Jamie. 11th for me.
And now 11th for Heath.
14th for Dave.
Let me just double check on that.
Joe Burrow against the Chiefs is 13th, 14th, and 11th.
Dak Prescott or Joe Burrow?
Dak.
Dak.
Kyler Murray or Joe Burrow?
Kyler.
Matthew Stafford against the Cardinals or Burrow?
Burrow.
Burrow.
Okay.
No, I'm sorry.
Stafford.
Stafford.
Why not go all in on Zach Moss, guys?
He is right behind, but in the same category as Najee and Pollard.
Not somebody that's a must-start guy,
but someone that you can use as a flex.
Don't start that.
Yeah, I just don't.
He had nine carries for 44 yards last week.
Played every third down snap.
Okay.
They were trailing.
Yeah.
I mean, look,
they probably,
they might trail again,
but they were trailing.
It was a terrible game script for him,
but he dominated the snaps.
He had nine,
but he had 75%.
I actually,
did they mix in another running back there?
He had nine chase Brown.
Only had three carries.
I'm not saying I'm buying it.
That's going to be that way every week,
but well,
I'm just, I'm just saying, I'm not saying I'm buying it, that it's going to be that way every week, but... Well, I'm just saying I'm not sure...
I'm just not sure there's going to be that many...
He did score a touchdown last week,
and so he had a decent fantasy day,
but I just don't think that there's a huge upside
in the Cincinnati backfield,
especially against a good defense.
If you have any questions
about this game, starts or sits,
you know,
this I'll read in the chat.
I hear like Moss or Metcalf.
Metcalf.
Where's Jamie?
Oh,
he left.
Oh,
he's probably telling the dog.
All right.
You were going Metcalf over Moss.
That's a tough one for me.
I think I'd probably go Moss.
I don't like either one.
I'll give you one from last game since.
London or Dell?
Dell.
Okay.
Cincinnati wide receiver.
So Jamar Chase is just an automatic start. Just an automatic start. Okay. Cincinnati wide receivers. So Jamar Chase is just an automatic start.
Just an automatic start.
Okay.
And what is Rushie Rice?
What if T Higgins plays?
Jamar Chase is an automatic start.
Oh, T Higgins would be a wide receiver too.
Okay.
Mike Kosicki, any interest?
None.
Patrick Mahomes?
What do you got?
Scored him.
You have him as QB2, or did that change?
No, he's QB2.
So you only have Jalen Hurts ahead of him.
You would not start Anthony Richardson over him?
I would not.
Okay.
Probably not rostering two quarterbacks if you have Mahomes.
So Mahomes has scored more than 21 fantasy points in two of his last 14 games.
Cincinnati's defense did not look very good,
but it was mostly their run defense didn't look very good last week.
Their pass defense, we expect it to be better
with the additions they made in the secondary.
They were not tested in week one.
Start Patrick Mahomes.
Start Pacheco.
Just start Pacheco, right?
Start Pacheco.
All right, let's go.
I'm hoping for a big game for Pacheco. Bad rush average last
week, but hoping for
better results. Rasheed Rice,
is Rasheed Rice a must-start
in non-PPR?
Yes.
All right, if Marquise Brown
plays, how does it change your outlook for these receivers?
Right now, I have
Xavier Worthy as,
and I don't think he's going to he didn't practice
yesterday but right now i have xavier worthy as a top 36 wide receiver i think he's 34 and 1 and
33 and the other he would be outside of my top 40 it would not impact rice okay and so uh would you Xavier Worthy, assuming that Marquise Brown is out.
Would you start Xavier Worthy
over Zach Moss?
No, right?
In full PPR, I would.
Oh. How about over Brian Thomas?
I would.
Okay. Brian Thomas, tough matchup against Cleveland.
I do feel like I'm going through these games kind of quickly,
but these are easy calls.
Star Travis Kelsey?
Yes.
Yes.
And this is like Kelsey's one of three tight ends
that really struggled last week
that I could be legitimately worried about after this week.
If Kelsey's not good against the Bengals
and doesn't see an increase in target share,
I'm going to be pretty concerned.
Andrews and Kincaid are the other two in that group.
Worthy or Adams, non-PPR?
Adams.
Adams.
What do you guys think about Chase Brown?
I didn't ask about Chase Brown.
You should be stashing him right now.
Yeah.
Yeah, not a top 30 running back.
Okay, let's see if we have any more questions for this game.
Pick two.
Rice, Nico Collins, Marvin Harrison.
Sit Marvin.
Sit Marvin Harrison.
Oh, that's sad.
Sad.
He's slow.
Sit that slow bum, Marvin Harrison.
Chiefs DST is outside the top 12. They were not good in week one against Baltimore. All right, maybe we'll have some more difficult decisions in this
one. Cleveland at Jacksonville. Jacksonville is going to be without Tyson Campbell, their best
cornerback. He has a hamstring injury. He's going to miss some time. I mentioned the stat of the
game. Jaguars were really bad up against past catching running backs in week,
in week one,
but really bad against them in 2023 as well.
Sit Deshaun Watson,
any interest in Trevor Lawrence this week?
No,
he's a,
he's a top 20 quarterback for me.
Like I'd start him over Caleb Williams.
If those were the two guys you drafted,
which I think it could have been for a lot of people,
but I don't really want to start Lawrence.
I'd rather start Baker.
Jerome Ford or Travis ETN.
Ford.
Ford.
They're both going to be started pretty much across the board.
I would think,
right?
Well,
I don't know about Ford.
Cause I,
I,
it's just people's perceptions but maybe
yeah but you're not sitting
Travis Etienne after a bit of a
concerning game last week
I mean if you drafted Etienne
and picked up Mason and drafted Ford
I'm sitting Travis Etienne
okay
fair enough I'd start Charbonnet over him
if Walker's out I would startnet over him if Walker's out.
I would start Wilson over him if Etienne is out.
Okay.
Yeah, come on, get it going, Etienne.
Like, we all know Cleveland, great defense.
But last year, not really a great run defense.
4.38 yards per carry, that was high.
Week one, how did they do?
Ezekiel Elliott had 10 carries, 40 yards and a touchdown.
Rico Dattel had eight for 26.
They weren't really tested there.
But not their strength.
Their strength is their pass defense and their pass rush.
Do you want to guess Jerome Ford's current start percentage?
I can't imagine.
Too many lineups have been set,
but I will guess it's in the 30s.
32%.
67%.
I think Jamie knew this one, but 66%.
I did not know it.
Oh, nice.
That was an excellent guess.
Now, you went over, so Adam still won,
but it was a very good guess.
Yeah, nice.
I love it.
Ford or Dobbins?
Dobbins for me. Okay. Yeah, they talked about these it. Ford or Dobbins? Dobbins for me.
Okay.
Yeah, they talked about these guys.
Charles has the question.
Ford or Dobbins.
We talked about these guys at the top of the show.
Who are the players you love this week?
For Heath, it was Jerome Ford.
For Jamie, it was Dobbins.
Here's maybe a tougher one.
Half PPR, Chris Godwin or Jerome Ford?
Bless you.
Thank you.
Ford.
I will go with Ford I was looking at full PPR I might I might go Godwin because I like him a lot this week too full PPR I would go Godwin as well all right David
Ajoku is not going to play so let's talk about the Cleveland wide receivers Amari Cooper had
nine targets nearly had a big play for a touchdown late in the game jerry judy i'll check his roster
percentage he had eight targets and he caught a touchdown uh judy was 65 percent roster let's see
where he is now he's 65 percent roster he hasn't moved up since yesterday uh are we starting cooper
or judy i know judy would be a lower end guy but heath cleveland receivers i am starting amari
cooper another one of those guys that he needs to do something this week or I'm going to start getting worried, but I'm starting him this week. Top 20 wide receiver. I don't want to start Jerry Judy, but his start or his roster percentage probably should have gone up a couple of points.
What is the status of the Browns tackles? What did he say? I don't think they practiced yesterday. I think he said, Stefanski said, they're going to practice this week, I believe.
So it's a big deal.
The pressure was relentless last week.
We should keep an eye on that.
Is that going to affect?
I do think Jacksonville had the lowest pressure rate
in week one defensively.
Oh, yeah?
Are we going to change our ranking of Amari Cooper
based on the tackles if they're out
again no but it certainly will help if deshaun watson's protected uh there's a lot of videos
circulating of frustrated amari cooper um it's it's it's gonna get to a point where these guys
are tired of deshaun watson at some point i mean he's got to make plays, you know? So it's,
it's London and Cooper,
I think are the two probably most quarterback dependent issues right now.
Right.
Any other receivers that are just Malik neighbors.
True.
But we knew that going in.
Yeah.
It was like,
we knew we had to some degree concerns about Daniel Jones,
Deshaun Watson and and Kirk Cousins.
And it was worse for all three of them in week one, I think.
For me, anyway, than what I expected.
I didn't expect Cousins to be that bad.
Yeah.
So, okay.
Did we do Cooper versus the Texans, guys?
Other than Nico?
I don't think we did.
Do it.
Cooper should be...
I don't have it ranked this way,
but that would be one of the adjustments
I make is Cooper over Diggs and Dill.
Cooper, Diggs, Dill.
Is anybody ranking Jordan Aikens?
Tight end.
Low-end starter at best.
Yeah, I wanted to look.
I pulled it up.
So his first catch came in the third quarter.
He had three of his four targets
and all of his catches after Njoku's injury.
So yeah, I mean, he might see six targets.
Watson did throw 45 passes in that game
for what that's worth.
Trevor Lawrence is a sit.
Travis Etienne is a start.
Not an amazing start, but a start.
Tank Bigsby, we're not quite starting him, right?
But we definitely want to roster him.
Let me check his roster percentage because Bigsby was at 48% on Wednesday.
I still don't know how many leagues do waivers on Wednesday.
Okay, he's at 47%.
I guess he was at 47%.
Tank Bigsby probably should be rostered
in more leagues than that.
All right, so then maybe the tough call is Christian Kirk.
And you guys seem to like him.
He seems like you like him more.
So make the case for Christian Kirk.
I still think he's the number one target in this offense.
Really, the Jacksonville was one of those teams that I just didn't adjust much
based on week one and the projections because they threw 22 passes.
I would expect that Trevor Lawrence is probably going to throw more than 33 passes in this game.
And so we'll see Kirk's targets back up around eight.
I wish he was playing on all three downs.
That's disappointing.
But that changed after week one
last year, too, so maybe it will this week.
Yeah, and
he dropped. He had two drops.
He could have had a much better game, even on the
limited targets. By the way, just as a
quick aside, everybody's
talking about the Anthony Richardson throw. It's an
amazing throw. Definitely better than the one
I'm about to mention. Can we talk about how good
of a throw Trevor Lawrence to Brian
Thomas was? That was like
is anybody talking about that?
The touchdown? Yeah.
That throw was incredible.
Great throw.
So Brian Thomas, we are probably
going to get a lot of questions about Brian Thomas.
What are we doing with him this week?
I think him and Kirk are
relatively similar, not how they're going to play, but just in terms of rankings.
You want to see it another week for Thomas,
but man, the upside is huge.
He catches that touchdown against Jalen Ramsey
that he gets tackled in the end zone.
We're talking about potentially a must-start guy in people's minds.
I still like him slightly better than Kirk,
but they're both just number three
receivers.
Yeah, I'm starting Kirk and I'd
like I'd like to see it from
Thomas before I start him.
The tough matchup.
Drake London or Brian Thomas
from the chat.
London.
London.
Squeaky wheel game coming for
London.
I hope so.
Let's see. Give me some. I was going to ask, does it count as a squeaky wheel game coming for London. Oh, I hope so. It can't get any worse. Let's see.
I'm trying to...
Give me some more.
I was going to ask,
does it count as a squeaky wheel
for Marvin Harrison
when Kyler Murray says
it's not my job to get him the ball?
Oh, boy.
Not a great quote.
Not a great quote.
But if you saw his hard knocks,
you think that Marvin Harrison
probably is not going to be
a squeaky wheel yet.
He's very polite and said he doesn't give his quarterback a hard time.
Brian Thomas or Xavier Worthy?
We actually did that one earlier, but can answer it again.
Worthy. Worthy for me.
Christian Kirk.
Christian Kirk is probably not going to see a lot of Denzel Ward
for the person who said he's going to burn up Denzel Ward.
That's a good thing.
All right, let's do some Christian Kirk.
Christian Kirk or J.K. Dobbins, Jerome Ford in full PPR?
Ford.
You said Christian Kirk, Jerome Ford.
Yeah, like how would you rank those three?
I thought you said Kirk or Ford.
Dobbins, Ford, Kirk.
Ford, Kirk, Dobbins.
Christian, Kirk, or DK Metcalf?
Kirk.
Metcalf.
Okay.
So obviously Heath is higher on Kirk than Jamie is,
so we've established that.
Evan Ingram.
Would you start likely over him?
Yes, I would not.
Would you start Bowers over him?
Yes, I would not.
Okay.
He's like the Jaguars.
Last week, fewest snaps for Evan Ingram
since week four of 2022.
And Brown's
last year number one in fantasy points allowed
to tight ends. Not a good matchup
and I don't know what's going on there. Remember we had
the, is he as good with
or without Christian Kirk?
Really? I had them as seventh
best against tight ends, but
I think I was using non-PPR.
No, I don't think so.
And I think like how many plays did Jacksonville run last week?
I wonder if Ingram's snap percentage was the same.
Snaps or total snaps.
I mean, either way, it was his lowest since 2022.
Oh, his lowest percentage too.
Yeah, which was strange.
I didn't really understand what that was all about.
Let me take that back.
I don't know if it was lowest percentage,
but he had three games last year under 70% snaps,
and this would have been second or third fewest based on last year.
All right. Lowest snaps. We'll just say that.
Which DST do you prefer, Cleveland or Jacksonville?
Still Cleveland. Cleveland.
Okay. Cleveland. Okay.
Cleveland allowed six sacks, a fumble recovery,
a special teams touchdown, and two interceptions last week to Dallas.
We're going to take a break.
We got Las Vegas and Baltimore.
I think they allowed it.
I think they gave it to them.
Yeah, they handed over.
We'll talk about Las Vegas and Baltimore
and what BaltimoreRavens.com says about Likely,
about Henry, about Andrews.
We'll be right back on FFT.
You know what the other soundbite we need is?
Jamie going, oh, no!
Definitely got to get that in the rotation.
How many takes do you think that was?
Four.
One.
I think it was two.
Two? Very good. I think it was two. Two?
Very good.
I think the first time I hit the brakes too quickly.
You're like,
you got to hit the car.
Hit the car.
How close did you get to the car?
Not close at all.
Yeah.
The car's not there
when I hit the brakes.
Oh, okay.
All right,
Las Vegas and Baltimore,
quotes of the game
from BaltimoreRavens.com.
This is just one writer.
Isaiah Likely,
we'll see more than he did last year,
but I believe week one that he said that game meaning week one will be an
outlier.
And then he said,
I'm sure there are some monster games for Andrews on the horizon.
And then Derek Henry is also capable of shredding Vegas's run defense and
the Ravens want him to be a bigger part of the offense than he was in week
one.
So we can start with the Baltimore Ravens, start Lamar Jackson.
Starters at Derrick Henry, Jamie.
You're starting him.
I mean, look, he's going to get work.
It's a favorable matchup.
It should be a favorable game script.
I'm still concerned about the offensive line.
You talked about the defensive line and the pass rush for the Raiders.
Defensive ends still matter in the run game too, talked about the defensive line and the pass rush for the Raiders. It's,
you know,
defensive ends still matter in the run game too.
So they're,
they're clearly depleted there.
Christian Wilkins did not step up and help this run defense to the same
level that I was expecting last week.
So they need to play better.
But in terms of Henry,
if he does struggle,
if he does have a bad game and I'm not talking about,
you know,
he could,
he could score two touchdowns and have a big fantasy day,
but if he's, you know, 15 for could score two touchdowns and have a big fantasy day but if he's you know 15 for 50 again like that's alarming if that happens so must start guy
yeah for the most part but like i'm starting jordan mason over him i would start charbonnet
over him would you start former raven jk dobbins or current Raven Derrick Henry? Oh, Dobbins. Yeah.
Really?
Yeah.
It's so weird.
I feel like people are so down on Derrick Henry that now I'm like this Henry guy.
It's not down on Derrick Henry.
It's just I think there's more upside
with some of these other guys.
I think there's plenty of upside with Derrick Henry.
I don't disagree.
You know, they could win this game big.
Yeah.
All right, he had 13 carries, 46 could win this game big. Yeah. All right.
He had 13 carries, 46 yards and a touchdown at Kansas City.
And they threw the ball so much.
56.8% pass rate.
Higher pass rate than in all but three games in 2023.
So if you believe they're nine and a half point favorites at home,
that gives a lot of upside to the running back, doesn't it?
So weird.
I think that's down to eight and a half now.
Like people are taking the Raiders side of that game.
Okay.
But still.
I wonder how much of it was Lamar missing practice early in the week.
Could be.
It's still a big spread.
Just to get this out there.
Home favorite, you know, home team with a big, big.
You like the running back in that situation.
Yes. He's a like the running back in that situation. Yes.
He's a top 15 running back.
We talked about ETN and we're starting him,
but we don't super love ETN.
I would start Henry over ETN.
Okay.
I have ETN over Henry in PPR.
All right.
Zay Flowers or Amari Cooper?
Cooper.
Cooper.
Zay Flowers or Najee Harris
Najee
Najee
So you don't really like Flowers that much?
No
Roses
Man, he had 10 targets though
They really seemed to want to get him involved
Why am I a Ravens guy?
What'd you say?
They shouldn't be throwing his money.
Yeah, I know.
All right.
Yeah, I think that's the thing is like
if you think Derek Henry is going to be a lot better
and have a lot more opportunity than last week,
then that's probably coming out of Zay Flowers' pocket.
Yeah.
But how many carries did Henry have last week?
13.
And Justice Hill.
Oh, I got to talk about, sorry.
I got to talk about Justice Hill.
Justice only had one. That's the thing. thing it's like does 13 carries balloon to 25 like what are we thinking for
andrea 20 18 okay so 18 carries i would guess it comes at the expense of justice hill no because
he only had one no the catches the snaps maybe. Well, Lamar Jackson threw 41 passes.
That's not happening this week. This could be a 28
pass attempts kind of game, right?
So it sounds like the Ravens ran like 75
plays.
Because Jackson also had 16 rush
attempts. Yeah. Yeah.
A lot of plays. A lot of sap.
Justice Hill, any running
backs in PPR that you'd start Justice
Hill over that would make people go, whoa, hey.
I mean, I would start him over Chase Brown.
Jalen Warren.
I would start him over Jalen Warren right now, yeah.
Bucky Irving.
How about Javante Williams?
Not there yet, but another bad week for Javante. We might be there.
There's a chance that Justice Hill has three touches in this game.
Yeah.
Correct.
Okay, so we talked about Flyers.
He also could be the guy in the fourth quarter
if they decide to, you know, rest Henry.
Which tight end do you prefer for the Ravens?
I have likely, oh, the Ravens, I'm sorry.
You know what, all three of them.
Rank the tight ends.
Andrews likely, Bowers for me.
Andrews, Bowers likely for me. Andrews, Bowers, likely for me.
Okay, we're not sitting Mark Andrews.
Let's get a bounce back here from Mark Andrews.
Likely is 10th-ish for Jamie.
I did this yesterday, so things could have changed.
But he was 17th for Heath.
He is currently, I think, 12th for me.
Okay, all right.
So he's top 12.
Low-end top 12, Isaiah Likely.
And who are some players that you would start Isaiah likely over?
Non tight ends.
No,
it's all right.
Tight ends.
Oh,
um,
Ingram.
Uh,
yeah.
Dalton Schultz,
Pat Fryer,
Ruth,
the saints.
Okay.
And would you like to talk about the Raiders? Jamie, what would you like to talk about the Raiders?
Jamie, what would you like to say about the Raiders?
I would sit Samir White if you can.
I would stash Alexander Madison and not play him this week.
Devontae Adams is still a number two wide receiver.
Brock Bowers is a low end, number one tight end
based on what he did last week, even in a tough matchup.
Jacoby Myers is a potential dart throw replacement in deeper leagues.
Gardner Mitchell has a nice mustache. tough matchup. Jacoby Myers is a potential dart throw replacement in deeper leagues.
Gardner Minchie has a nice mustache.
Would you rather have Alexander Madison or Justice Hill on your
roster? Madison.
Madison. Madison is 49%
rostered. He had four catches last
week. He caught a touchdown.
Would you start Zemir White
or
Chuba Hubbard?
White.
Okay, I'll start White.
Kincaid or Likely?
I'll read some chat questions.
Kincaid.
Kincaid.
Bowers or Kittle?
Kittle.
Kittle.
Zach Moss or Madison?
Moss.
Moss.
Justice Hill or Chuba Hubbard?
Hill.
Hubbard.
Devante Adams or Del Diggs?
Adams.
Diggs, Del, Adams.
Neighbors or Adams?
Neighbors.
It's Washington.
McLaurin or adams uh i think i have adams slightly higher right now mclaurin crushes the giants my god
yeah all right jets are at tennessee stat of the game calvin ridley three catches for 50 yards on
seven targets last week he lined up in the slot for 15 snaps. He lined up out wide for 39 snaps,
16 of those 39 snaps at left wide receiver,
23 at right wide receiver.
Why is this the stat of the game?
Because Sauce Gardner does not move.
He will line up as left cornerback.
He will be across from the right wide receiver.
That means slot plus left wide receiver snaps.
There should be enough for Calvin Ridley
to not be covered by Sauce Gardner.
So, Heath, what does that mean to you, if anything?
That gives you hope for Calvin Ridley.
It gives me more hope for the Titans offense
that they're moving their wide receivers around like that.
That's a good thing.
Ridley is right there for me
in that Devontae Adams,
Drake London, Marvin Harrison,
Tank Dell, blob.
Probably the most guys for me.
He's a number three.
I like him as a three.
They've now gone 23 games,
allowing five touchdowns to wide receivers.
Receiving touchdowns.
Receiving touchdowns.
Tebow did score.
Now, what about Iyuk's drop?
Can I add that?
I mean, he didn't catch it.
Okay, I won't add it then.
You can azer stat it all you want to, man.
Okay, so this game.
Five touchdowns to receivers through the air in 23 games.
That's pretty impressive.
Yeah, Alan Lazard or Calvin Ridley?
Ridley.
Okay.
Anyone starting Alan Lazard? In someley? Ridley. Okay. Anyone starting Alan Lazard?
In some desperate situations, yeah.
Yep.
Picked him up this morning.
He went through waivers.
Nobody, it's funny.
I had some leagues where he went like 15% of fab
and I had a league this morning where nobody picked him up.
So I picked him up and I'm starting him.
50% rostered.
Mike Williams played only 18% of the snaps,
did not have a target.
At some point, I wonder if Mike Williams just takes Lazard off the field.
Certainly not ready for that in week one.
Sit Tyler Conklin, sit Aaron Rodgers, start Brees Hall, start Garrett Wilson.
We're good, right?
Yep.
All right, sit Will Levis.
So let's talk about Tony Pollard.
Heath, what are your expectations for Tony Pollard?
Low-end RB two. It'd be interesting to see like if the jets run defense does have a couple of
holes,
if the Titans can exploit it in the same way the 49ers did,
or if that's just the 49ers being better than everybody at running the ball.
My only hesitation with Tony Pollard as a must start guy is they keep saying
the same narrative.
We got to get Ty J Spears more involved and the
snap counts were relatively close. I don't think that this is going to be a game where the Titans
are chasing points, which may favor Spears. Who knows, but it may. So Pollard should definitely
be started over Spears. Spears should not be started unless you're desperate. But I would like to see, again, a similar touch difference
between Pollard and Spears to make people much more confident
in starting Pollard moving forward.
I kind of think the Titans are going to win this game.
I wouldn't surprise me.
I mean, if Will Levis doesn't vomit all over himself,
they should be the Bears.
I'm buying low on the Jets, not from a fantasy standpoint,
but I think they're going to be really good.
I am worried about their pass rush.
Not having Hasan Reddick is a big deal.
But I thought Rodgers looked good.
I don't know.
Maybe it's just me, but I thought he looked good enough.
Rodgers did look good for what it was.
I mean, look, you're comparing him to the guys coming back from injuries.
He was the best by far.
I guess not Burrow, but the older trio. trio you know what i mean cousins and watson well he was probably
better than burrow yeah it's fair um i i think the titans defense is gonna be pretty damn good
and they were up 17 nothing on the bears yeah i don't know if you saw the stats about how historic
the bears victory was uh for a team to be trailing by 17,
not score a single offensive touchdown,
and win the game.
I mean, it was like three wins to 1,100 losses
or something like that in that scenario.
It was just crazy.
I could look that up,
but I don't think anybody cares anymore.
All right, so Pollard is outside the top 20,
but he's like 24th ish so okay he's better
than some of the running backs we've talked about uh calvin he's better than calvin ridley i think
i asked you that earlier i'm sorry yes pollard over ridley he's a little bit higher on ridley
we're sitting hopkins we're sitting uh spears and but i didn't drop hopkins yet i know people
were panicked about it but but he barely played last week,
so let's see what happens.
And the Jets DST.
Well, you would drop Hopkins for Shahid.
You'd drop him for Cooks.
You'd drop him for Rams receiver, right?
Am I starting those guys, or are they bench players?
Are you starting Hopkins?
No, but if I lost Puka and I have to start someone,
I'd make the move.
If I'm just stashing someone, I'd stash Hopkins.
I would stash all those guys over Hopkins.
I mean, I was drafting Shahid over Hopkins.
Ty Baker?
No, Shahid's the only one that I would add over Hopkins.
Okay.
Seattle is at New England.
I was going to tell you all about Christian Watson and how he shadowed Jamar Chase and did a nice job.
Christian Gonzalez.
Christian Gonzalez. Yep. Him. But I already told you about it. And also, like, what the hell? He got a 50 coverage grade on PFF? I don't know. I don't get it.
Starters at Genino Smith. I would sit him.
I think you're going to get something similar
to what you got last week.
If things go okay for him,
like could he, you know,
have a multiple touchdown game?
Sure.
But this Patriots defense
is probably going to be better
than we expected.
I definitely think it's going to be better
than the Broncos.
19.8 fantasy points for Go Smith. And that's with
under 200 yards passing and a rushing touchdown.
Yeah, only 25 pass attempts.
30 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.
That is huge. What was the difference
between Geno Smith in 2022 and
2023? Deep balls, he
just didn't hit on as many, but rushing
totals way down in 2023.
So for him to have 30 yards and a
touchdown in week one,
that's very encouraging.
I thought what was discouraging was that the only pass play
they had that went over 20 yards was a pass to a running back.
That is discouraging.
They did nothing down the field.
Okay, Seattle running backs.
So, Ken Walker, you're certainly going to start if he plays.
Now, Zach Charbonnet, let's just review what he did in three games last year with 14 or more carries.
He had 15 carries and six catches, 12.9 fantasy points at the Rams.
He averaged like three yards per carry.
Rams were a really good run defense last year.
14 carries for 47 yards, four catches, 11 yards, 9.8 fantasy points against San Francisco.
Not actually that good of a run defense,
kind of average.
Same with Dallas.
19 carries, 60 yards and a touchdown,
one catch for 39 yards,
16.9 fantasy points.
Again, he averaged about three yards per carry.
I guess I'm a little worried
that Charbonnet is maybe not that good of a rusher.
That's an RB2, though.
Where do you have him ranked?
Well, we have Walker ranked right now.
Okay.
Where would you have him ranked?
He would be low-end number two running back.
I was thinking 18.
But, yeah.
In that range, yeah.
And I think the passing, you know, six catches, four catches,
one catch in those three games,
the passing role.
And he caught a touchdown last week is going to help him a lot.
If, if Walker's out.
Okay.
Let's talk about those Seattle wide receivers.
How are you ranking them this week?
Jamie.
Metcalf locket Jason.
And where do you think you'll end up on Metcalf?
Somewhere between 20 and 30.
And Heath?
I've got Metcalf at 30.
I think I've got Lockett around 40.
JSN did not crack my top 48 this week.
I would rather not start any of them,
but Metcalf's a wide receiver three,
and Lockett's a flex.
Is Noah Fant going to put the Fant in fantasy football on Sunday?
No, I think.
Probably not.
But like it's hard.
Again, we said Gino threw how many passes?
25.
So if Fant's got a 18% target share, 16% target share,
then I think he's going to have some good games moving forward,
but I'd rather not start him.
If you lost Ferguson or Njoku, he's in the conversation,
but for me, he's at the back end of it.
I'd rather pick up Jawan Johnson.
I'd rather pick up Colby Parkinson,
and those guys are readily available.
So I'd go Parkinson, then Fant, then Johnson.
Parkinson, Fant, Johnson.
Okay, and on the Patriots side, Ramondre Stephenson's the only guy in play, Fant, Johnson. Okay. And on the Patriots side,
Ramondre Stephenson
is the only guy in play, right?
Yep.
Start him.
You'd start Charbonnet over him
if Walker were out, right?
I would, yes.
Probably.
I'm not sure.
They'd be close enough
probably to flip a coin.
How much of,
was the Bengals, you know, you talk about this a lot, Adam, how bad that they to flip a coin how much of was the bangles you know you
talked about this a lot adam how bad that they could potentially be how much of it was the broncos
in terms of how good the seahawks run defense was well the other thing is is remandre stevenson
dominated third down snaps and gibson was was on the injury report all week, that is a big storyline to me
because he didn't even do that last year.
They bring in Antonio Gibson.
I really thought Gibson would obviously be the third down back.
I think we all thought that.
Is that, you know, it's like a Jalen Warren situation
where it's just a health thing
and we expect a bigger role for Gibson?
Because if Ramon is going to be...
I mean, Gibson has unfortunately never proven
to be a reliable option for a few coaches.
As a third down back, though.
But I think just reliable, whether it's health, whether it's performance, who knows?
I mean, they clearly trust Ramondre Stevenson.
They paid him to be a featured guy. So until I think you see it, you got to just go with the assumption that Ramondre is going to get as much
playing time and as much,
as many touches he can handle.
Okay.
So Ramondre or Zach Moss?
Ramondre.
Yeah.
Ramondre for me is ahead of Pollard,
Najee,
that group.
Yep.
Ramondre. Did I ask you Ramondre or Metcalf? Ramondre. group. Yep. Ramondre.
Did I ask you Ramondre or Metcalf?
Ramondre.
I think so.
Ramondre.
Okay.
All right.
Seattle's DST is top 12.
You can play them.
I can't believe we have two games left.
Jeez.
Man, remember we were under an hour last week?
Ugh.
Back to my slow ways.
Pittsburgh at Denver.
I left for like five minutes.
Justin Field, start or sit? Always Pittsburgh at Denver. And I left for like five minutes. Uh, Justin field starter,
sit,
uh,
low end starter,
not a bad Jordan love replacement would prefer to sit him if you can,
but stash them on your roster.
But like,
I would start him over Caleb Williams.
I would start him over,
uh,
Lawrence.
I would start him over,
um, Daniel Jones,
Bryce Young, Will Levis.
I agree with all of those, but Lawrence.
Okay.
Najee Harris we more or less talked about,
but he's a flex.
Low end number two running back,
he's a flex in that range.
And Jalen Warren, nope.
And George Pickens.
So Pickens or Najee?
Najee.
That was good.
That was not me pressing the button.
That was real Heath.
Yeah.
So I've got, I really have to just look at the projections on that one.
Definitely be nausea in non-PPR, full PPR.
I would go with Pickens.
All right, Pickens.
Oh, so encouraging in week one.
But yeah, I hate the matchup here.
And Pat Fryermuth, 14th for Jamie, 19th for Heath.
Pat Fryermuth.
Sounds right.
I mean, what, Fields threw 23 passes,
and Faramuth had four catches?
Four catches on four targets.
He ran, he played, he ran as many routes
as George Pickens and Van Jefferson.
The three of those guys were the guys
who were out there for pretty much every route.
Pick, yeah.
And I've talked about this a lot
with several different quarterbacks,
so I should probably clarify the difference for me
is I'm just not sure Justin Fields
is going to throw more passes.
What did he throw, 22?
23.
23.
Okay.
Denver allowed the most fantasy points
to tight ends last year,
but did well against Noah Fant in week one.
Sitbo Nix.
Javante.
Where do you have Javante Williams ranked this week, Heath?
31, 32.
Yeah, looks like a tough run defense.
They did a really good job against Bijan last week.
Javante's obviously splitting with Jaleel McLaughlin,
so we'll try to get away from him.
Who's the best Broncos flex? Is it Sutton or Javante?
Sutton.
Vele?
I'll go Sutton.
You know, Josh Reynolds being out could help Cortland Sutton
if he's out, if he's out.
He had like 12 targets.
He doesn't need any more.
He's going to get tired.
And he basically had the only downfield targets. He doesn't need any more targets. He's going to get tired. And he basically had the only downfield targets.
I mean, he had a
13.6 yard A dot in Bo Nix
when he threw downfield. It was usually
to Sutton. But he may get Joey Porter.
Yeah, he probably will.
I think he almost certainly will. And Porter did
a nice job against London in week one.
Say Greg Dulcich.
Pittsburgh's DST is top five.
Colts are at the Packers.
Jamie, break it down.
You're starting Jonathan Taylor.
Michael Pittman is a number three receiver.
I'd like to stash Adonai Mitchell.
Anthony Richardson's a must-start guy.
Josh Jacobs is the only must-start Packer.
Jayden Reed would be the best Packers receiver right now
because I think they'll give him some different opportunities
to touch the ball given how the offense will look.
And I would sit Christian Watson.
You could drop Romeo Dobbs and Dante Meawicks
if you need to make a move.
Okay, are there any...
Let me see.
Sorry, let's talk about Michael Pittman here.
Michael Pittman or...
I'm going to say Michael Pittman. Jamie's going to say the other guy. Michael Pittman or... I'm going to say Michael Pittman.
Jamie's going to say the other guy.
Michael Pittman or Malik Neighbors?
Neighbors. Much easier matchup.
Yeah.
Michael Pittman or
Calvin Ridley?
Pittman.
I just wanted to make Jamie say Pittman.
Michael Pittman or
J.K. Dobbins in full PPR?
Pittman. Dobbins.
Any Pittman questions? Here we go.
Drake London or Pittman from the chat?
London.
London and a Pittman. Okay.
And
Jaden Reed
or Calvin Ridley?
Ridley. Ridley.
Here's one. Pick three in half PPR.
Pittman, Brian Thomas, Keenan Allen, Demarcus Robinson, Calvin Ridley.
Pittman, Ridley, Thomas.
Pittman, Ridley, Allen.
Okay.
Start Jonathan Taylor.
Anything else you want to say about this?
We could do some Josh Jacobs.
Anybody got some Jacobs questions?
Here we go.
Ken Walker or Josh Jacobs?
Walker over Jacobs.
If Walker is cleared to go,
Jacobs over Charbonnet if Walker's up.
I'll go Jacobs over both.
All right.
Jacobs or Pittman?
Jacobs.
Jacobs.
Anything else I need to say about this game?
Oh, how about this?
Just so you all know.
Last week, Luke Musgrave ran eight routes.
Tyler Kraft ran 29 routes.
Tucker.
Tucker Kraft.
I did the same mistake, and Dave corrected me once.
Weird.
I even wrote, oh, I wrote Tyler.
I wrote it in my notes, Tyler.
Whoops.
I sat in the air.
I was like, yeah, Tyler Kraft.
Dave's like, Tucker.
Tucker Kraft.
But yeah, if you have Luke Musgrave, you probably shouldn't.
And Kraft could be relevant when Jordan Love gets back.
It's kind of interesting.
Would you trade Jacobs for DJ Moore is a question in our chat.
No.
No.
Jacobs or Dobbins?
Dobbins. Jacobs. I don't know what this is all about. I'm Dobbins? Dobbins.
Jacobs.
I don't know what this is all about.
I'm just going to leave it.
I'm not even going to say it out loud.
Colts.
I did not have the runs, but I did have to run.
Okay.
Colts, DST, sixth for Jamie, 11th for me.
I think you know me well enough by now.
If I had to go poop, I would tell you.
Yeah, you would.
He'd do the show from there.
I'd pee.
Adam would already know.
Yeah, I know. Me pe Yeah, he would. He'd do the show from there. Adam would already know. Yeah, I know.
Me peeking in the crack.
I don't think he had to use that word.
Opening.
The opening. There you go. Perfect.
All right, everybody. Have a great day.
We'll talk to you tomorrow. Enjoy the game
tonight. We'll talk to you tomorrow with Starter Sin
for the NFC.
