No, I can't. It's time to dominate your fantasy league. This is going to go the distance. Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath. We welcome you on this Thursday morning to Fantasy Football Today, presented by BetMGM, the sportsbook born in Vegas. Can the Bears offense get going on Sunday night in a tough matchup at Houston? Can Joe Burrow have another big game against the Chiefs?

He has pretty good history against Kansas City Chiefs. Are we starting Isaiah Likely? Big name. Are we starting Isaiah Likely this week? Adam, Jamie, and Heath here breaking down eight AFC home games. Technically seven. We'll throw Green Bay hosting Indianapolis in there as well. We'll have the starts and the sits for each of those games.

We also have to talk about Miami against Buffalo, but you guys are doing rankings, so I'm going to make you rank the three primetime games. How would you rank them? Buffalo, Miami, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia. Thursday, Monday, Sunday. Yeah, it's like Thursday, enormous gap. Put the other two in a tier and I don't care.

Strong disagree on Monday over Sunday. Sunday over Monday for sure. Thursday, Sunday, Monday. I want to see the Falcons more than I want to see the Bears. I don't think either one of those games, and this will probably end up looking dumb, but I don't really think either one of those games are going to this will probably end up looking dumb, but I don't really think either one of those games are going to be competitive.

Thank goodness we had the primetime games, well, at least Sunday night and Thursday night, and Friday night last week, because the rest of the week was kind of crummy. All right, guys, let's start with primetime, Thursday night. Raheem Mostert's been ruled out. Devon Achan is a game-time decision with an ankle injury. Raheem Mostert has a chest injury.

Jeff Wilson's 43% roster. Jalen Wright is 61% rostered. Obviously, we'll get the practice report, and we'll hopefully know more. Hopefully, it's not a true game-time decision. It rarely is. You'll know at some point beforehand about Devon Achan. But, Jamie, what are you telling fantasy managers right now

as the Dolphins get ready for the Bills? I mean, you should be adding Jeff Wilson more so than you should be Jalen Wright if you need someone. Now, if you don't need someone for this game or this weekend, I'd rather stash Jalen Wright because if he ever gets a chance, I think, to prove himself, he's going to, I would hope,

leap over Jeff Wilson as the third guy. But we don't know how long this Mostert injury is going to last. I don't think this HN injury is anything long-term if he does miss tonight's game because he was moving around at practice on Wednesday, even though they listed him as DNP. So we shall see. I would anticipate Jeff Wilson, Keith and I talked about this yesterday once we got the news that Mostert was ruled out on CBS Sports Network. He almost just slot Jeff Wilson into the Raheem Mostert role and hope that he's going to get those goal line opportunities and the carries. And that a chance kind of stays in his role, which is fantastic for him. You know, so maybe he gets the goal line chances more so than Wilson.

I don't know, but I would just kind of view Wilson as a most replacement. Yeah. I've got Wilson. I like a chance. A must start. If he plays, I've got Wilson as a high end flex,

almost an RB two. I think he's RB 27 for me, but I would start Wilson over the mirror, over DeAndre Swift, over Chuba Hubbard. I'd start him over Zach Moss. Jerome Ford? Oh, no. Jerome Ford's a top 12 running back. Come on. Yeah, not Jerome Ford, but over

like Javante Swift, those guys. Okay. Okay, that's fine. I'll leave it at that. All right. Stay tuned on Twitter. We'll leave it at that. All right, that's, you know, stay tuned on Twitter. We'll give you some advice if you need it, but we'll wait and see if Devon Achan is ruled out. Let's go to some players we love and players to avoid.

Would you like to go first? Just real quick, if Achan is ruled out, Wilson's a top 20 running back, and Jalen Wright's not far behind. Yeah. Okay. So, Heath Heath you want to start with players we love it's Jerome Forge oh okay for me um no 18 touches in a terrible game script in week one against the Cowboys Pierre Strong was barely involved had four touches in that game I like the matchup better against Jacksonville than I did against Dallas.

I think the absence of David Njoku probably means a couple more running back targets in this offense. And Jerome Ford is a top 12 running back for me this week and may just stay a top 12 running back until Nick Chubb comes back. All right. Jaguars. I mean, they did a pretty good job on the ground against Mostert and A-Chan, but they continue to trend. Last year, the Jaguars gave up the third most receiving yards per game to running backs. Last week, they gave up the third most receiving yards to running backs. It was mostly Devon A-Chan. But that could be something that Jerome Ford is able to take advantage of. So Jerome Ford is a player that Heath loves. Jamie, who do you love? Who's our star of the week? J.K. Dobbins. Top 12 running back for me this week. Just a fantastic setup coming off the game that he had. 10 carries, 135 yards and touchdown, two carries over 40 yards. Factored into that,

and I know he lost. He had one less carry than Gus Edwards, but Gus Edwards averaged 2.4 yards per carry. I can't imagine that we're going to see them with that similar type of workload. I would hope they give Dobbins some more opportunities in this matchup against Carolina. They just lost their best interior defensive lineman, Derek Brown's out with a knee injury, and they were miserable against Alvin Kamara and Jamal Williams throughout the course of that game last week, plus whatever Taysom Hill did on top of that as a rusher. So run defense is bad. Opportunity's great.

I think this is Dob. Opportunity is great. I think this is Dobbins' time to shine. As long as he's healthy and producing like this in this offense, he could be an absolute superstar. Dobbins or Ford? Who do you guys like better? I like Dobbins better. Ford for me.

We like them both. Jerome Ford at the Jaguars. J.K. Dobbins at Carolina. Our sports line loves Dobbins. They have him as RB6. Me, oh my. You can see Dave and Heath are a little bit lower. They have him as a low-end RB2. Jamie has him 12th, J.K. Dobbins.

And players to avoid this week. Jamie, who are we sitting? If you can, I would sit George Pickens. Tough matchup against Patrick Sertan. Justin Fields did great with Pickens last week, better than I anticipated. 6 for 85 knowing that AJ Terrell was on the other side and Fields didn't throw the ball very much.

Clearly, this is their go-to guy, but we saw this with DK Metcalf last week. Sertan takes away your best receiver, and there's no other receiving threat for the Steelers that you got to worry about. So, um, not a top 24 receiver.

I would only start pickings in three receiver leagues. I hate it, but yeah, I knew you were, I had a feeling you were going to go there cause it makes sense. Uh, he did play almost 30%. No,

it was, I think it was 29% of his snaps in the slot, which is a, you know, would be a career high over a season we'll see if that you know that's good it's not enough but that's it's good might help uh pickens yeah he did have like a 36 yard catch called back on a really weak pass interference call but yeah sirtan is the eraser that's just oh and there's another one i'll see if if he gets them i'll bring

up another guy who might get shadowed by a good cornerback. But Heath, who are you avoiding? I am not going to say Calvin Ridley, which I think is what you want me to say. Nope. But if you wanted to say Calvin Ridley, I would understand it. He's a borderline wide receiver, too. High-end wide receiver, too. DeAndre Swift, for me, just an absolutely miserable week one.

A terrible matchup in week two. I don't really feel like the Texans are going to be or the Bears are going to be super competitive in this game. So it probably turns into a pass heavy game for Caleb Williams. And there was only one target for DeAndre Swift in week one, despite the fact that Caleb Williams only averaged 6.3 air yards per attempt. So I'd like to stay away from the Bears running back. Here's the other guy that I think might get shadowed. DK Metcalf, again. Yeah.

I tweeted about him. I almost said him. He's a wide receiver 30 for me this week. So I'd be okay with sitting him too. Yeah. Christian Gonzalez did shadow Jamar Chase. He even followed Chase into the slot. Not on every slot snap. In fact, Jamar

Chase's best catch was around 30 yards. Was out of the slot, not on Christian Gonzalez. But Metcalf really doesn't go into the slot much. And Gonzalez, I think he's gonna... There's a good chance he can shadow him. I think he's pretty good. Every week,

every time Metcalf has a tough... Pretty much every time he has a tough matchup against a tough cornerback that shadows, it doesn't go well. McCaffrey could play. But what do you do about the Thursday-Sunday conundrum? If McCaffrey does not practice, I would wait it out. McCaffrey, wait. He practiced yesterday, though, right? Wasn't he limited? Yeah, they did list him as limited. So, yeah, it stinks.

If he does not practice in full on Thursday, I will wait out for Jordan Mason because there's more upside with Jordan Mason unless Devon Achan is out. Okay, so if Devon Achan's out and Christian McCaffrey does not practice on Thursday, you're going to just play it safe and start Wilson over Mason, or are you going to try to wait it out?

If he does not practice at all, he's limited. What, you said Achan was out? Okay, Achan's out. I'm just starting Wilson. Over Mason. Okay. Hypothetically, if I told you that McCaffrey were ruled out on Thursday and Achan were ruled out, who would you rank higher, Wilson or Mason? Mason. Mason. Okay. Ken Walker mispracticed with an oblique injury. Seattle's going to be without one of their best pass rushers, Uchenna Nwosu. That's an interesting one, though, with the Seattle running back. Yeah, I know. I didn't know if I wanted to go down that road again. Go ahead. You can... No, I mean, it's the same situation, right? Because Charbonnet

would be fantastic. So, yeah, if Walker misses again Thursday, you'd almost have to start wilson over either one unless you have both scenario is is charbonnet versus wilson and the dolphin situation yeah or wilson versus walker yeah great walker doesn't practice on thursday i'm playing wilson instead yeah i am too but if walker doesn't practice and Thursday. I'm playing Wilson instead. Yeah, I am too. But if Walker doesn't practice and I'm deciding between Wilson and Charbonnet, I might wait that out.

The Saints have a couple of secondary injuries to keep an eye on. Tyron Matthew and Marshawn Lattimore, they mispractice. They're at Dallas. Denver wide receiver Josh Reynolds mispractice.

And Audrick Estime is on IR. And they get Pittsburgh this week. Sean Payton is searching for somebody on the waiver wire to play over Marvin Mims. And he needs another running back to Bixit there. Houston tight end Dalton Schultz mispractice with an ankle injury. The Raiders are pretty thin at edge rusher. Tyree Wilson mispractice with a knee injury. They've already put one guy on IR with a preseason injury, I believe.

So they've got Crosby, but the Raiders, they need some depth at pass rusher. Russell Wilson, limited in practice. Roman Wilson, Pittsburgh rookie receiver. He was limited in practice. We're still preparing for Justin Fields. You guys have Fields ranked. Huge news.

Darius Slayton missed practice with a concussion. Get Jalen Hyatt in your lineup, JK. Tampa Bay defensive tackle, Elijah Clancy missed practice, and Jordan Addison mispractice. It's time for one question for each game. Chicago's at Houston. Let's assume Keenan Allen plays in this game.

You don't, but we still need to get the Bowers soundbite from Little Big League. Got to throw that in there. All right, last game, Indianapolis at Green Bay. Start any Packers? Jacobs. Still, you're confident in him? Yeah, I'm still starting him.

Would you like to know what Derrick Henry did in three games with Malik Willis as a starter? Can't imagine it was good. It was awesome. The Bowers, the B? I think he was over. That's okay. Derek Henry had 219 yards and two touchdowns,

115 yards and two touchdowns, and 126 yards and one touchdown in three starts. Three Malik Willis starts. Okay. Does that mean anything? I have no idea, but it's not a bad thing, I guess. Okay. That's one question for each game.

So with that, we will get into our first game, and that is Chicago at Houston on Sunday night. Caleb Williams is outside the top 20. And yeah, not much to say there. I wanted to hear from you. I had seen that you tweeted that you had watched all of Caleb Williams' throws throws and you came away encouraged and

how? There were plays to be made. I came away encouraged by the offense. If he improves, there were plays to be made. There were open players. He had, I think, four or five balls tipped at the line of scrimmage. He went through some growing pains, but you had Keenan Allen.

He missed Keenan Allen at what was going to be a huge play. Keenan Allen dropped a touchdown. You had Keenan Allen also open for a pretty big chunk play. He was wide open and that ball got tipped at the line of scrimmage. DJ Moore could have had a big play. It didn't happen. So they left a lot of yards on the field. I think it's not always a good thing. If I didn't have like, if that were Will Levis, I probably would be less encouraged because I don't have a ton of faith in will Levis. But if I, I do have faith in,

in, uh, Caleb Williams and, you know, actually they have a pretty good offensive line. You know, I think they had like the seventh best pass block grade by PFF. So I don't know.

I mean, I'm not saying I'm going and starting these guys against Houston, but I think I'm not hitting the panic button. If, if, uh, Caleb can make some gradual improvements throughout the year, I think that there are plays to be made there.

And like, you know what I think is this, I don't think Keenan Allen is just some like washed up slug. I think he's an asset for them. And so I like to receive in core still. And did you see where they had the tweet with the wide receiver top speeds from week one and Keenan Allen's was like two miles an hour faster than Marvin Harrison jr. I hour faster than Marvin Harrison Jr.

I did see that. Marvin Harrison Jr.'s top speed was super low, which was weird. And then somebody replied with a tweet from college where Marvin Harrison ran like 22 miles per hour. Because what was it? 13 miles per hour? 16.

16 in week one. Marvin Harrison? Okay. Yeah. Yeah, what did you think of that? It was not a good week for Marvin Harrison. I didn't like it. It didn't either.

I will keep this simple here. You guys are sitting DeAndre Swift. He's around roughly 30th in the consensus rankings. Dave's a little higher on him. So if DJ Moore is your favorite receiver, Heath, you actually have him pretty high, right? DJ Moore? Yeah, he came out higher in the projections than I expected.

But until Caleb Williams shows me something, I don't want to say DJ Moore is a must-start in a two-receiver league.

Top 20 wide receiver. I don't want to start Jerry Judy, but his start or his roster percentage probably should have gone up a couple of points. What is the status of the Browns tackles? What did he say? I don't think they practiced yesterday. I think he said, Stefanski said, they're going to practice this week, I believe. So it's a big deal.

The pressure was relentless last week. We should keep an eye on that. Is that going to affect? I do think Jacksonville had the lowest pressure rate in week one defensively. Oh, yeah? Are we going to change our ranking of Amari Cooper based on the tackles if they're out

again no but it certainly will help if deshaun watson's protected uh there's a lot of videos circulating of frustrated amari cooper um it's it's it's gonna get to a point where these guys are tired of deshaun watson at some point i mean he's got to make plays, you know? So it's, it's London and Cooper, I think are the two probably most quarterback dependent issues right now. Right. Any other receivers that are just Malik neighbors. True.

But we knew that going in. Yeah. It was like, we knew we had to some degree concerns about Daniel Jones, Deshaun Watson and and Kirk Cousins. And it was worse for all three of them in week one, I think. For me, anyway, than what I expected. I didn't expect Cousins to be that bad.

Yeah. So, okay. Did we do Cooper versus the Texans, guys? Other than Nico? I don't think we did. Do it. Cooper should be... I don't have it ranked this way,

but that would be one of the adjustments I make is Cooper over Diggs and Dill. Cooper, Diggs, Dill. Is anybody ranking Jordan Aikens? Tight end. Low-end starter at best. Yeah, I wanted to look. I pulled it up.

So his first catch came in the third quarter. He had three of his four targets and all of his catches after Njoku's injury. So yeah, I mean, he might see six targets. Watson did throw 45 passes in that game for what that's worth. Trevor Lawrence is a sit. Travis Etienne is a start.

Not an amazing start, but a start. Tank Bigsby, we're not quite starting him, right? But we definitely want to roster him. Let me check his roster percentage because Bigsby was at 48% on Wednesday. I still don't know how many leagues do waivers on Wednesday. Okay, he's at 47%. I guess he was at 47%. Tank Bigsby probably should be rostered

in more leagues than that. All right, so then maybe the tough call is Christian Kirk. And you guys seem to like him. He seems like you like him more. So make the case for Christian Kirk. I still think he's the number one target in this offense. Really, the Jacksonville was one of those teams that I just didn't adjust much based on week one and the projections because they threw 22 passes.

I would expect that Trevor Lawrence is probably going to throw more than 33 passes in this game. And so we'll see Kirk's targets back up around eight. I wish he was playing on all three downs. That's disappointing. But that changed after week one last year, too, so maybe it will this week. Yeah, and he dropped. He had two drops.

He could have had a much better game, even on the limited targets. By the way, just as a quick aside, everybody's talking about the Anthony Richardson throw. It's an amazing throw. Definitely better than the one I'm about to mention. Can we talk about how good of a throw Trevor Lawrence to Brian Thomas was? That was like

is anybody talking about that? The touchdown? Yeah. That throw was incredible. Great throw. So Brian Thomas, we are probably going to get a lot of questions about Brian Thomas. What are we doing with him this week? I think him and Kirk are

relatively similar, not how they're going to play, but just in terms of rankings. You want to see it another week for Thomas, but man, the upside is huge. He catches that touchdown against Jalen Ramsey that he gets tackled in the end zone. We're talking about potentially a must-start guy in people's minds. I still like him slightly better than Kirk, but they're both just number three

Oh, Dobbins. Yeah.

Really? Yeah. It's so weird. I feel like people are so down on Derrick Henry that now I'm like this Henry guy. It's not down on Derrick Henry. It's just I think there's more upside with some of these other guys. I think there's plenty of upside with Derrick Henry.

It'd be interesting to see like if the jets run defense does have a couple of holes, if the Titans can exploit it in the same way the 49ers did, or if that's just the 49ers being better than everybody at running the ball. My only hesitation with Tony Pollard as a must start guy is they keep saying the same narrative. We got to get Ty J Spears more involved and the

snap counts were relatively close. I don't think that this is going to be a game where the Titans are chasing points, which may favor Spears. Who knows, but it may. So Pollard should definitely be started over Spears. Spears should not be started unless you're desperate. But I would like to see, again, a similar touch difference between Pollard and Spears to make people much more confident in starting Pollard moving forward. I kind of think the Titans are going to win this game. I wouldn't surprise me. I mean, if Will Levis doesn't vomit all over himself,

they should be the Bears. I'm buying low on the Jets, not from a fantasy standpoint, but I think they're going to be really good. I am worried about their pass rush. Not having Hasan Reddick is a big deal. But I thought Rodgers looked good. I don't know. Maybe it's just me, but I thought he looked good enough.

than some of the running backs we've talked about uh calvin he's better than calvin ridley i think i asked you that earlier i'm sorry yes pollard over ridley he's a little bit higher on ridley we're sitting hopkins we're sitting uh spears and but i didn't drop hopkins yet i know people were panicked about it but but he barely played last week, so let's see what happens. And the Jets DST. Well, you would drop Hopkins for Shahid. You'd drop him for Cooks.

You'd drop him for Rams receiver, right? Am I starting those guys, or are they bench players? Are you starting Hopkins? No, but if I lost Puka and I have to start someone, I'd make the move. If I'm just stashing someone, I'd stash Hopkins. I would stash all those guys over Hopkins. I mean, I was drafting Shahid over Hopkins.

Ty Baker? No, Shahid's the only one that I would add over Hopkins. Okay. Seattle is at New England. I was going to tell you all about Christian Watson and how he shadowed Jamar Chase and did a nice job. Christian Gonzalez. Christian Gonzalez. Yep. Him. But I already told you about it. And also, like, what the hell? He got a 50 coverage grade on PFF? I don't know. I don't get it. Starters at Genino Smith. I would sit him.

I think you're going to get something similar to what you got last week. If things go okay for him, like could he, you know, have a multiple touchdown game? Sure. But this Patriots defense is probably going to be better

than we expected. I definitely think it's going to be better than the Broncos. 19.8 fantasy points for Go Smith. And that's with under 200 yards passing and a rushing touchdown. Yeah, only 25 pass attempts. 30 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. That is huge. What was the difference

between Geno Smith in 2022 and 2023? Deep balls, he just didn't hit on as many, but rushing totals way down in 2023. So for him to have 30 yards and a touchdown in week one, that's very encouraging. I thought what was discouraging was that the only pass play

they had that went over 20 yards was a pass to a running back. That is discouraging. They did nothing down the field. Okay, Seattle running backs. So, Ken Walker, you're certainly going to start if he plays. Now, Zach Charbonnet, let's just review what he did in three games last year with 14 or more carries. He had 15 carries and six catches, 12.9 fantasy points at the Rams. He averaged like three yards per carry.

Rams were a really good run defense last year. 14 carries for 47 yards, four catches, 11 yards, 9.8 fantasy points against San Francisco. Not actually that good of a run defense, kind of average. Same with Dallas. 19 carries, 60 yards and a touchdown, one catch for 39 yards, 16.9 fantasy points.

Again, he averaged about three yards per carry. I guess I'm a little worried that Charbonnet is maybe not that good of a rusher. That's an RB2, though. Where do you have him ranked? Well, we have Walker ranked right now. Okay. Where would you have him ranked?

He would be low-end number two running back. I was thinking 18. But, yeah. In that range, yeah. And I think the passing, you know, six catches, four catches, one catch in those three games, the passing role. And he caught a touchdown last week is going to help him a lot.

If, if Walker's out. Okay. Let's talk about those Seattle wide receivers. How are you ranking them this week? Jamie. Metcalf locket Jason. And where do you think you'll end up on Metcalf? Somewhere between 20 and 30.

And Heath? I've got Metcalf at 30. I think I've got Lockett around 40. JSN did not crack my top 48 this week. I would rather not start any of them, but Metcalf's a wide receiver three, and Lockett's a flex. Is Noah Fant going to put the Fant in fantasy football on Sunday?

No, I think. Probably not. But like it's hard. Again, we said Gino threw how many passes? 25. So if Fant's got a 18% target share, 16% target share, then I think he's going to have some good games moving forward, but I'd rather not start him.

If you lost Ferguson or Njoku, he's in the conversation, but for me, he's at the back end of it. I'd rather pick up Jawan Johnson. I'd rather pick up Colby Parkinson, and those guys are readily available. So I'd go Parkinson, then Fant, then Johnson. Parkinson, Fant, Johnson. I mean, Gibson has unfortunately never proven to be a reliable option for a few coaches. As a third down back, though. But I think just reliable, whether it's health, whether it's performance, who knows? I mean, they clearly trust Ramondre Stevenson. They paid him to be a featured guy. So until I think you see it, you got to just go with the assumption that Ramondre is going to get as much playing time and as much, as many touches he can handle.
