This is fantasy football today from CBS Sports. What a play! Can you believe this?
Starting point is 00:01:06 No, I can. It's time to dominate your fantasy league. Off to the races, and he stays on his feet. It's just going to go the distance. Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath. Hey, what's up, everybody? Let's get into Fantasy Week 6 here. Come the Giants.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Getting ready for Thursday night football. But we have eight better games to talk about today. Eight AFC home games. Denver at the Jets. What about those wide receivers going up against those star cornerbacks? Detroit at Kansas City. You know, it's about time the Chiefs got a primetime game. Seattle at Jacksonville, Arizona at Indianapolis,
Starting point is 00:01:43 Chargers at Miami, Rams at Ravens, Cleveland at Pittsburgh, Tennessee at Las Vegas. And we welcome you to fantasy football today, presented by BetMGM, Make it legendary. What's going on? Good morning, guys. Spinal score prediction for tonight. Why not?
Starting point is 00:02:03 Eagles, 24, Giants, 13. 310. A lot of faith in the Giants, Heath. All right, let's get right into it. Players we love. I mean, literally just play the worst team in the league. Give Jacob's need a little love. You couldn't figure out what hat I was wearing.
Starting point is 00:02:22 He got it right away. Oh, Durham Bulls. That's right. Cool. Okay, well, I love the hat, but now I want some players that we love. Jamie, you have Rashad White at San Francisco, Dak Prescott, and Tedro Millen in that same game. Rashad White, Dak Prescott, Tederole McMillan.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Rashad White's start of the week. You know, looking forward to him building off what he did last week, hopefully a little better rushing performance. But obviously love the work in the passing game and love the playing time. You know, so we were a little concerned about what Sean Tucker was going to do, not too much of a factor. I think a very good matchup now against a 49ers defense that, you know, not as good as it was earlier in the season. But looking at what Kyron Williams did in the passing game last week, I think Rashad White's going to have an opportunity to make some plays as well. It's going to be a high scoring game.
Starting point is 00:03:08 So I think Rashad White's got top 15 upside, very solid number two running back. I was like when Heath and I are on the same page with the start of the week. So we have exactly ranked the same exact way at 15. For Dak Prescott, look, he's been awesome each of the last two games, taking on care of. line of defense that I don't think its numbers necessarily represent what they're, they're capable of doing or lack thereof. So DAC back-to-back 30-plus point games, ironically enough, without C.D. Lamb should continue to have a very strong performance.
Starting point is 00:03:36 So for me, a top five quarterback. And then Ted Rowan McMillan will get his first touchdown of his NFL career in this game against the Cowboys. Their defense is miserable. So there's a big opportunity here for Tet to have, I don't know if it's going to be necessarily his breakout game of his career, but it might be. be the best game of his career to date. So excited to see what he could do against the secondary.
Starting point is 00:03:56 All right. So again, for Jamie, we're targeting that Dallas, Carolina game could be a good DFS game. Boy, Dak Prescott, Tetero, McMillan, and the start of the week with Shad White. Heath, you've got Matthew Stafford. Everybody loves Matthew Stafford this week. He's at Baltimore. They've given up, what, seven or eight touchdowns in their last two games. Keenan Allen at Miami.
Starting point is 00:04:15 And, oh, 31-0, but we're going to start Theo Johnson tonight. You like them. But anyway, tell us about Matthew Stafford, Keenanow, and Theo Johnson. Yeah, listen, Stafford has been incredible so far this year. They're scoring a much higher percentage of their touchdowns through the air, which should not surprise anybody after you had Devante Adams, who actually hasn't been as good as we would expect scoring touchdowns, has six targets inside the five-yard line has only caught one of them.
Starting point is 00:04:42 But there's just this Ravens defense can't stop anybody right now and the Rams have been fantastic early in the season. Keenan Allen's seven targets every single week, sometimes more. And if you get seven targets against the dolphins, you're probably going to be very good. He is a must-start wide receiver. He's actually in full PPR, my favorite Chargers wide receiver in this game, but they're all worthy of considering being started. Theo Johnson's been targeted on 20% of Jackson Darts passes so far.
Starting point is 00:05:15 And Darius Slayton was playing for a lot of that time. This receiving core is awful, awful, awful. Wondale Robinson, Jalen Hyatt, and there's a guy named Bo Collins, right? Bo Collins, not Phil Collins, not Bo Jackson. Bob Collins is the wide receiver three. Theo Johnson's going to have at least 20% of the targets in this game, and he is someone you should start. I would start him over. I like Mason Taylor.
Starting point is 00:05:45 I'd start him over Mason Taylor. I like, listen, I think the Darren Waller thing's really interesting, because he's been so awesome, but the Chargers and Derwin James have been a bad matchups for tight-in so far. I'd start Theo over Darren Waller. I'd start him over Tungis. Theo Johnson's starting tight-in. Wow, okay.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Well, it is a big, big Sunday coming up, big Thursday coming up, and it's time for football at BetMGM. Place your money line, parlay bets, and more today. Bet MGM, make it legendary. All right, recapping, Jamie likes Rashad White, Dak Prescott, Tetero McMillan, Heath, Heath, Heath, that guy, says, Matthew Stafford. Well, you call the Giants Receiving Court awful like four times. So I got a little upset at you, sorry.
Starting point is 00:06:48 Matthew Stafford, Keenan Allen, Theo Johnson. One of the things we're talking about with Matthew Stafford is what about the game script? What if he just has to throw 22 times or something like that? Are we worried about that? We'll talk about that later. But players to avoid, Heath, you're saying, Daniel Jones against Arizona,
Starting point is 00:07:03 Alvin Camara, who's on the injury report, but apparently it's not serious. He should be fine. But Camara against New England and T. Higgins at Green Bay. We'll start with Daniel Jones against the Cardinals. Listen, I want to start with him because I don't want this to be a he still doesn't think Daniel Jones is good. He's played fantastic. His current role as a fantasy quarterback is not one that would generally lead itself to being a starter.
Starting point is 00:07:30 He throws the ball about 30 times a game. He ran a lot the first two games. He has two rush attempts in the last two games combined. All four of his carries inside of the five-yard line happened week one. in week two. They've used Tyler Warren in that role. Jonathan Taylor is getting more rush attempts inside the five than we've ever expected and scoring almost every time. I think Daniel Jones is a good QB2. I don't think he's a QB1. Looks like sports line disagrees. Alvin Camara's role is shrinking and so is his efficiency. I don't want to start Alvin Camara and I'm not sure
Starting point is 00:08:05 we'll be starting Alvin Camara again this year as long as he's on the Saints. And there's a little bit of hope if Joe Flacco starts, but I don't want to bet on T. Higgins having his bounce back game against the Green Bay Packers. Like, this is just a terrible place. I know Joe Flacco beat the Packers already once this year. He did it with his team scoring 13 points. I just, I am staying far away from T. Higgins in this game. I think they, they have a blocked field goal, like return for a touchdown in that game, too. And a late turnover. No, they didn't return it for a touchdown. No, they just blocked a kick.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Yeah, Joe Flacco is starting. So that's the announcement that was made yesterday. I mean, Captain Avi has told you. Captain Avi, yeah, let me know if he has any more tweets today. Jamie wants to avoid Jared Gough at Kansas City. Now, you all have Daniel Jones 14th to 16th. Would you start Jared Gough over Daniel Jones? I would rather start Daniel Jones.
Starting point is 00:09:03 I would rather start Jared Gough. Okay, Derek Henry against the Rams and Garrett Wilson against Denver. Gary Wilson has faced Denver every season of his career, and he has scored 6.4, 8.4, and 7.1 p.m. Fantasy points. Gulp. All right, Gough, Henry Wilson, Jamie. Well, Wilson, you made the case for me. I think we know why. Patrick Stanton is really good, and this is the type of receiver that he should probably handle pretty easily, or at least in theory. In the case of golf, it's just the same setup for him, as usual, you know, going outdoors against a good defense. He just tends to struggle in this setup.
Starting point is 00:09:39 He was not good fantasy-wise against them in week one last year. So I don't expect him to have a big game this year against the Chiefs. And in the case of Derek Henry, look, it's just been bad for him since week one. He's gotten away with some touchdowns. And now he's facing a team that has yet to allow a running back to score a rushing touchdown this season. You need him to score. And so it just feels as if there's going to be a negative game script because of the quarterback play, because of the defense, even though they're getting healthier,
Starting point is 00:10:07 it's still facing a very good offense. So I have a A wacky conspiracy theory If I were the Ravens I would sit Derek Henry in this game You know he's your best chance to win I get that But get through the buy
Starting point is 00:10:21 Make that late season push Get Lamar Jackson back Don't risk him getting hurt That is the worst Worst thing I've heard you say on this show In the 16 years Listen I knew you were going to hate that The absolute worst
Starting point is 00:10:33 I knew you would hate that That's just my theory Oh my gosh sit Derek Henry Well sit up in fantasy maybe, but not an IRL, or I shouldn't have said in IRL. All right, so recapping, Heath is avoiding Daniel Jones. Everybody seems to have Daniel Jones as a number two quarterback. I will say the Cardinals are seeing the most pass attempts in the NFL per game.
Starting point is 00:10:55 So I don't know why exactly, but can Daniel Jones actually throw the ball more? Alvin Camara T. Higgins for Heath or Sitz. Jared Gough, Derek Henry, Garrett Wilson for Jamie. Wilson, the Broncos Jets game, that's the first one we're going to. going to talk about. It's so interesting. Sunday, Sunday, Sunday, 8.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. YouTube.com slash fantasy football today. Join us for the live stream. If you miss that one, join us at noon to 1 Eastern on Sunday. When we have these games overseas, we're going to be doing 8.30 to 9.30 and noon to 1. When we don't have those, we're going to have a different,
Starting point is 00:11:28 either 11 to 1 or 11.30 to 1. But we got a few more of these weeks with the early games. News and notes, Lamar Jackson missed practice. We're not expecting him against the Rams. Joe Flacco is going to start at Green Bay. Brock Purdy mispractice. We're not expecting him. By the way, can you name tough trivia question here? Name the top three quarterbacks and passing yards per game. Hint, they are on two teams.
Starting point is 00:11:54 Mack Jones and Brock Purdy. They're in one and three. Who's two? Averaging 300 yards per game. Same division? Stafford. Correcto. So, yeah, Jackson and Purdy right now, we're not expecting Flacco starting.
Starting point is 00:12:11 And Kyler Murray, we have to keep an eye on this one. Kyler Murray's got this foot injury. He briefly left last week's game, came back. But I think Jonathan Gannon said if he's healthy enough to play, he'll play. Jacoby Brissette is the backup in Arizona. Please, please use Gamer Eric's comments. Very funny. Tough trivia, Adam.
Starting point is 00:12:33 A tough trivia question. Just remove the answers, Adam. Yes, I did that a couple. couple times yesterday. There you go. Running back news, Tyrone Tracy, likely to play tonight. According to Jeremy Fowler, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, he says that Houston sees Woody Marks as a passing game back with injury history. Basically, they don't want to run them into the ground.
Starting point is 00:12:52 Maybe if they have a game where they're not winning like they were against Baltimore, he gets more work. But it wasn't the most encouraging report if you have Woody Marks. We'll see what happens. The thing that was really, I really struggled with is the game that he broke out was a game they were winning the whole time. It's true against Tennessee. Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:13:11 He seems to be playing better than Nick Chubb. Chub had a good game, though. Give him credit. Chuba Hubbard mispractice. Jalen Warren practiced in full, and I mentioned Alvin Camara was limited, but he's expected to play. Wide receiver, Darius Slayton's out tonight.
Starting point is 00:13:23 Terry McLaurin did not practice. Chris Godwin mispractice. C.D. Lamb and Cavante Turpin mispractice. Ricky Pearsall not expected to play Juan Jennings' mispractice. So it could still be another good opportunity for Kendrick Bourne.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Jalen Coker practiced in full. That's great. Cameron Wolf of ESPN thinks that Travis Hunter is going to get more downfield targets in the coming weeks. Christian Watson was limited and Amon Rae St. Brown missed practice with a wrist injury. We're not concerned right now. Jetavian Sanders practiced.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Brock Bowers did not, but Michael Mayer practiced in full. Tennessee's actually been a pretty tough matchup for tight ends, but Michael Mayer could get a good opportunity. On the offensive line, Landon Dickerson is out tonight for Philadelphia. The Cowboys were down four offensive linemen last week. They got two of them back in practice yesterday. They were limited. Ronnie Stanley,
Starting point is 00:14:13 feel like he might play this week for Baltimore, their left tackle. Joe Alt, I don't know that Joe Alt's going to play this week, but it doesn't seem like that injury is as bad as feared. So Joe Alt, he missed practice, but they're kind of speaking optimistically about him.
Starting point is 00:14:27 And Giants right tackle, Jermaine Illuminaur for tonight's game. He's questionable. He has a decent chance to play. On defense, Pittsburgh getting a little bit healthier. Joey Porter practiced in full. Philadelphia tonight. Nicopi Dean's expected to play their linebacker.
Starting point is 00:14:40 But Jalen Carter's question, well, that would certainly help the run game for the Giants. We just don't know what the split's going to be now with Scataboo with Tracy back. And Baltimore's safety, Kyle Hamilton, was limited. I do think we should talk about that. Heath, you kind of went over the scenarios yesterday. If Tracy plays, then this for Scadaboo. But it looks like Tracy's going to play.
Starting point is 00:15:00 So where are you on Scataboo? He is still ahead of. two of our sits for me, Alvin Camara and Derek Henry. I expect him to be the leadback, but I expect it to be a committee. I've got Scataboo right around RB22-ish, and I've got Tracy as a low-end flex in the Isaiah Pacheco range.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Would you guys start Michael Carter over Scataboo, Carter's at the Colts? No, unless we get some report of Tracy's back as the full-time guy and Scataboo goal line option, but I'd be shocked if they did that. Then you're definitely not going to start Kamani Vidal or Hassan Haskins over him.
Starting point is 00:15:44 No. No, unless again, similar report and vice versa for the Chargers. Harbaugh comes out and says one of the two is our guy and we're going to lean on him like we did Hampton. But again, he's already made his comments about the backfield. Okay. Quick break.
Starting point is 00:15:59 And then one question for each game when we come back. I have to tell you about this Game-changing product I use before a night out with drinks. It's called pre-alcohol. Starting point is 00:18:09 Phenomenal launch into the air. Absolutely incredible. Air Transat. Fly the seven-time world's best leisure airline champions, Air Transat. Well, I think this is the question of the week, quite frankly. It's this Denver Jets game. How confident are you in Garrett Wilson, who's wide receiver five right now in PPR? And Cortland Sutton, who's wide receiver 10.
Starting point is 00:18:30 right now in PPR, which will start with, which one are you more confident in, Jamie? I'm more confident in Cortland Sutton. I think he can still have some level of success against Soss Gardner, where Garrett Wilson, you already laid it out. He struggled against the secondary throughout his career. And Patric Chattain, I just think it's on a different level than Soss Gardner. So I'm more concerned about Garrett Wilson. I did a little bit of a study just looking at the guys that had gone up
Starting point is 00:19:00 against Sertan so far, and what is done to their target volume, what it's done to their fantasy production. So far this year, they've gotten about 90% of the targets they normally do, which is higher than I expected, scored about 63% of the fantasy points they normally do. Now, for Garrett Wilson, who's averaging what, 14, 15 fantasy points per game, 16 fantasy points per game, if he scores two-thirds of that, he might still be a good number three wide receiver. He's averaging 19 points per game. 19. So, yeah, if he does that, it'll be fine. 12. That's a borderline wide receiver, too, which is about where I have them ranked, I guess.
Starting point is 00:19:36 I think the really interesting thing for the Jets, I agree with Jamie. I'm starting Sutton over Wilson, and I'd like to get away from Wilson. I don't think I have any teams where I can. The interesting thing is we've seen some teams move targets around a little bit and throw to somebody else more. Who in the world is that on the Jets? Mason Taylor, Breeze Hall. But you're right. You're right. I mean, who's done well against the Broncos?
Starting point is 00:20:02 Keenan Allen, 11 targets, 19.5 fantasy points. Devante Smith had a big game against Riley Moss, their number two cornerback. He had 114 yards on 10 targets, 19 fantasy points. Quentin Johnston was actually shadowed by Patrick Sartan. I don't remember how many of his fantasy points came against Sartan. I feel like he had a big play on like a, I don't remember. But he scored 14.9 fantasy points. He had six catches for 89 yards on 10 targets.
Starting point is 00:20:28 they've held Ladd McConkey, Michael Pittman, Calvin Ridley, T. Higgins, Jamar Chase, and A.J. Brown to 9.3 or fewer PPR fantasy points. That's Denver. And their pass rush. I mean, it's not just the cornerback matchup. The Cowboys had a bunch of sacks last week. They had the worst pass rush in football, basically, and they got to Justin Field. So what are the Broncos going to do? But on the other side, guys, this Dave gave me some good notes here. Cortland Sutton has played the Jets in 2022, 22, 2023, and 24. He scored one touchdown, never had more than 60 yards,
Starting point is 00:21:03 never had more than three catches, did not get shadowed by Gardner, but according to PFF, he had one catch for 13 yards on five targets against Soss Gardner. So, you know, I think the nice thing for Denver is there, if you want to speculate on a lower end wide receiver
Starting point is 00:21:22 who could benefit from that, Troy Franklin's been a pretty clear number two there. And so if you want to just put in the Broncos wide receiver two as your wide receiver three, Troy Franklin could be a decent play this week. All right. So Wilson is 29th for Jamie, 17th for Dave, 14th for Heath. Sutton is top 17, 14th to 17th for everybody. So clearly you're favoring Sutton over Wilson.
Starting point is 00:21:47 Sutton's a start for you guys. Wilson is kind of a flex for the two of you. Dave's a little bit higher. You know what? When we get to this game, I think we'll mostly skip. the wide receiver talks we're just going to and i think that that brings up a good point though like when i say i can't find a way to get away from wilson the vast majority of my leagues i have to start three wide receivers and we're all starting garrett wilson for the most part if you're in a three
Starting point is 00:22:10 wide receiver league like you just there was one question to chat like i forget it was keon coleman and somebody else for over garret wilson like no you're not doing that you know right you got to have still a pretty solid roster to sit garret wills in three receiver leagues okay so how many of the Chargers wide receivers, would you start over Garrett Wilson? All three for me. I would start Alan and Johnston. I can't get a lot ahead of them. How many of the Chargers wide receivers would you start over Cortland Sutton? Chargers receivers? Yeah, what did I say? I have Alan and Johnston ahead of Sutton. I will probably drop Sutton a little bit, so yes, I will start. I definitely right now, Johnston, and I'll start Allen over him, too. So I mentioned,
Starting point is 00:22:55 all those wide receivers against the Broncos that haven't scored even 10 PPR fantasy points like A.J. Brown and Ladd McConkey. Not that LeConkey was shadowed by C.C.T.an. But who else? It was Pittman, Ridley. Higgins wasn't either. Right? No. Chase got
Starting point is 00:23:13 Certan, but Higgins, Chase, A.J. Brown, Calvin, Ridley, they didn't score 10. It's a similar stat for wide receivers against the Jets, but it's more like 13. They've held D.K. Metcalfe, Mike Evans, George Pickens and Tyreek Hill to 12.3 to 13.7 PPR fantasy points. Number two wide receivers have often been better. Calvin Austin was better than Metcalf. Abuka was better than Evans.
Starting point is 00:23:37 Ryan Flournoy was better than Pickens. Those are against the Jets. So it's like a similar thing, but not quite as bad as what happens to number one wide receivers against the Broncos. So just something to keep in mind. All right. Well, that was, I know we usually don't go that in depth during this segment, but I really feel like. Like it's, you know, two of the best corners and two of the best fantasy-wide receivers. It's really cool. It's really intriguing. Detroit at Kansas City, start or sit, Xavier Worthy.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Start. Yeah, I'm starting them. But you know where I'm going with this? Xavier Worthy or the other two guys. When I adjusted, it will be worthy over both of them. I've got it Sutton, just one spot ahead of Worthy and Worthy, definitely over Wilson. Okay. Seattle at Jacksonville.
Starting point is 00:24:24 this is an interesting game could be a really good game but the defenses aren't bad is Jackson Smith and Jigba the only must start in this game no you're starting you tan let me tell you something about this game though
Starting point is 00:24:40 Seattle Jacksonville I think Cam Ward yeah Cam Ward has the lowest running back target rate in football two and three are the two quarterbacks in this game they don't throw to their running backs and Seattle's got to
Starting point is 00:24:54 great run defense. So it feels like it could be a little bit of a trap for E.T.N. I think Seattle gives up the most receptions to running back. So I wonder if Trevor Lawrence's running back target rate goes up this week.
Starting point is 00:25:07 And it does coincide with Brent and Strange being out. So there's, you know, available targets that, you know, could go, whether it's ETN or not, that remains to be seen. It could be Tooten, you know,
Starting point is 00:25:17 but you would hope it's ETN. But yes, Keith, you're right. This is the team that, I said he. Yeah. I said Heath. You did not say Heath. You definitely said, Keith.
Starting point is 00:25:27 I just. Don't say it long. Yes, it is a great situation for ETN or Tutin, hopefully ETN, to catch the ball. Yeah, you think so. Look, they face Christian McCaffrey, Jalen Warren, Rashad White. Camara? They face Camara. They face a lot of good pass catching running back Seattle.
Starting point is 00:25:47 All right, Arizona. It didn't even have. I mean, it worked out great last week for shot white. It did. But like, Brent and Strange, Miss. most of the game last week. And ETN, how many... Oh, actually, he did have a little bump in catches
Starting point is 00:25:57 last week, didn't he? Two or three? I think you're right. The injury should play a factor, but sometimes coaches adjust their game plans, you know, when they have their, you know, personnel. He had three catches. I think that was a season high.
Starting point is 00:26:10 I tied a season high for him. All right, sorry, back to one question for each game. Arizona at Indianapolis. Start or sit, Michael Carter. You're wrong, Rob. Low end number two running back. Yeah, I'd like him better as a flex. I hope I have two better guys,
Starting point is 00:26:31 but I don't feel awful about it if I have to start him. Michael Carter, Cortland Sutton, Garrett Wilson. Sutton, Carter, Wilson. Yeah, that sounds right, except in full PPR, everything else Carter is at the top. Chargers at the Dolphins. Bonanza? I don't know
Starting point is 00:26:53 It could be tough for the Dolphins I mean this is like I don't really have a lot of confidence in either one of the running backs the Chargers might use and Miami's run defense was so bad last week so it's going to be really interesting to see
Starting point is 00:27:08 like if I hope the Chargers don't just fully commit to the run and then average three and a half yards per carry and it's a slow boring game Rams are at the Ravens can you start any Ravens? I would start flowers as a low-end number two here, PPR. I'm starting flowers, and I think a lot of people are going to be stuck starting Henry.
Starting point is 00:27:31 I agree with Jamie. I'd like to sit him, but I'd start Derek Henry over Michael Carter. How many plays did the Ravens run last week? 47. 40. Effectively or actually running? They ran 40 plays. That's, I mean, shocking number.
Starting point is 00:27:48 Cleveland at Pittsburgh. Start or Sit, D.K. Metcalf and his five to six targets a game. Number two receiver? Yeah, I feel like I want to rank him lower than I can, but I can't rank him below Garrett Wilson. I might have to make that change. I mean, it looks like I might have Wilson one spot ahead, but he's that borderline number two, number three.
Starting point is 00:28:15 It's kind of like, like, AJ Brown's one spot in front of him, Garrett Wilson's one spot behind him. You got Brian Thomas Jr. and Ladd McComkey and Devonte Smith in that range. I think you probably start him. Okay. It's not exactly a tough matchup. Cleveland's 18th against wide receivers. They just traded.
Starting point is 00:28:31 They just made a cornerback swap with the Jaguars. Tennessee at Las Vegas, rank these guys. Tony Pollard, Calvin Ridley, Jacoby Myers. Myers-Pollard-Ridley. Pollard-Myers-Ridley. Is it me or does anybody else feel this way? I don't like running back this week. I mean, it kind of dies out around like 17, 18.
Starting point is 00:28:57 Yeah, I like Tony Powell at last week. He just says one guy, for example. I like Michael Carter last week. They have much tougher matchups this week. The Raiders actually have a good run defense. What if they, they don't, the Titans average 18 running back carries per game. Okay.
Starting point is 00:29:14 Last week it was 14 for Pollard, four for Spears. If we get more of a split, 18's not going to cut it, you know. They said we're getting more of a split. Yeah, they did. They've been saying it all off season, too. So I'm nervous about Pollard. But you also have a situation where they actually may be playing with the lead in this game. Yeah, they've had such a, Titans have been horrible offensively.
Starting point is 00:29:34 They have played off top of my head with the Broncos, Rams, Texans, Cardinals, and one other, who? Colts. And they have had a really tough schedule. So this is the easiest defense they've faced. All right, here we go. Denver at the Jets. If you are looking for wide receiver stats or notes, you're not going to get it
Starting point is 00:29:52 because we just talked about that for extensively and one question for each game. So what about the quarterbacks? Who do you like better? Fields or Knicks? Nix. I think I have Nix one spot higher. And where are they?
Starting point is 00:30:09 Are they starts? 11 and 12. Nix is right around 11 and Fields is 13, 14. Okay. They don't allow rushing production to quarterbacks. It's pretty obvious at this point. Who the Broncos?
Starting point is 00:30:23 Yeah. Yeah. 13 carries for 15 yards, if I remember correctly. And that's against, I know Daniel Dones isn't running as much, but that was early in the season against Daniel Jones. That's against Jalen Hertz, who did nothing running the ball. That's against. Justin Herbert had six yards.
Starting point is 00:30:43 Yep. Yeah. Cam Ward, Jake Browning where the others. All right, it's just, you know, Fields and Wilson have had these kind of garbage time touchdowns each of the last two weeks that have
Starting point is 00:30:56 really boosted their stock. Oh, I know. I was sweating it out last week. And they'll probably have a garbage time opportunity in this game. Yeah. And then Nick's kind of a borderline start. The Jets are not good, though, against quarterbacks. They allow the fifth most fantasy points to quarterbacks. So why is he only, you know,
Starting point is 00:31:13 12-ish Boenix. Feels like a run game for Denver. And he hasn't exactly been good this year. He's been good in these scenarios, though.
Starting point is 00:31:26 Against bad defenses? Yeah. Cincinnati had a huge game. Colts, he had a big game. Azerstat went out a good game against the Chargers. But remember, that was the game
Starting point is 00:31:38 where he just missed on some deep balls, but that's what he does. All right. Denver running back. here. I can't imagine we're starting R.J. Harvey. So I talked about Travis E.N. And I have some concerns about E.N. Would you start Dobbins or E.N.?
Starting point is 00:31:51 Dobbins? I have E.T.N. one spot higher, both 16 and 17. Okay. So these guys are still guys we should be confident in starting. Dobbins is around 15 fantasy points in four or five games. And 83 or more total yards in four or five games for J.K. Dobbins.
Starting point is 00:32:07 He has a touchdown or 100 yards rushing, I believe in every game this season. How about that? Yeah. And then the one game with 100 yards, he did not have the touchdown. But he only has five, six catches in five games. Okay, Sutton. I do think there is a R.J. Harvey garbage time potential here. You're not starting him with any confidence.
Starting point is 00:32:26 But like if you are stuck, this is, this is very similar to the Cincinnati game for me, like how they use him. So Sutton is about 15, 16, 17 in the rankings. What about, and you kind of briefly alluded to it, Heath, Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims. You like either of these guys? Franklin, yes, MIMS, not really. Franklin is a wide receiver three. So top 36 guy, not somebody who's like you're itching to start, but he's a good fill in a pinch.
Starting point is 00:33:00 Anybody want to start Evan Ingram? He has seven targets in his last two games. The Jets have allowed four touchdowns to tight ends in their last two games. Anybody want to start Ingram? He's not a bad desperation play. I mean, a lot of people dropped him. You know, one of those injuries and whatnot. But it's such a good week for tight ends, which is not something we say very often.
Starting point is 00:33:17 So, like, I would rather start Theo Johnson over Ingram. Like, you can make a case of Ingram versus Juan Johnson, for example, that he's in a little better spot based on where his role may be going versus where Johnson's may be going. But I still don't think he's a must-star guy. Like, Mason Taylor should be easy start over Ingram at this point, for me at least. There's eight guys I want to start at tight-in this week and, like, eight more that I'm fine with. starting, and Evan Ingram's kind of at the bottom of that second group. Is there anyone that you love in this game? Do we love Brees Hall?
Starting point is 00:33:51 Yeah, I mean, just based on what he's done for the majority of the season, and certainly what he's done in the last two games without Braylon Allen there, he's getting goal-line opportunities. He's certainly doing a lot of work in the passing game. So to your question earlier about if Garrett Wilson's taken out of this, I do think Mason Taylor has a chance for a big game. I do think Brees Hall is a chance for a big game catching the ball. but we kind of saw that through the first three quarters last week against a bad defense for Dallas.
Starting point is 00:34:14 Like they were struggling despite the fact that Breece Hall was running very well. Like he got, I think a nine for 79, including a fumble in that stretch. And they just kept stalling out in terms of their drives. So I think the must plays, clearly the Broncos defense, that's an easy one. The J.K. Dobbins, Breeze Hall, you know, they're clearly, you mentioned running back being what it is. like they're easy starts for me. And then it's the receivers, I think, just, you know, Sutton's a mid-tier, lower-tier are wide receiver, too.
Starting point is 00:34:46 I got a fun Azer set. In the three full games that Justin Fields has played, Breeshall is averaging 137 yards per game. That's pretty good. Brise Hall, I mean, is a lesson to be learned, Brice Hall and Javante Williams, two years removed from their knee injuries, look much better than they did one year for sure. Yes. it should yeah we had a speaking of dynasty uh tram asked in the chat if fft dynasty is on youtube
Starting point is 00:35:13 and i just wanted to say yes tram it is and we had matt waldman on to talk about the rookies and he gave some really really interesting takes some good stuff so you guys go check that out he's very excited for lutherburton oh okay uh justin fields or sam darnald against jacksonville i still go fields but that's a close one fields Justin Fields or Daniel Jones Fields Still Fields but they're back to back for me Justin Fields or
Starting point is 00:35:45 A maybe not super healthy Jaden Daniels Daniels Daniels All right Let's see what else in this game I think that's pretty much it Mason Taylor you guys
Starting point is 00:36:00 Where's Mason Taylor for you guys Top 10 I think he's 12 or 13 Theo Johnson or Mason Taylor I know the Heath's answer is Theo Jamie it is Theo Taylor for me Kyle Pitts or Mason Taylor
Starting point is 00:36:15 As of now I'm expecting Mooney to play so I don't love the situation for pits against the bills so I would go Mason Taylor I've got pits Last one, Najoku or Mason Taylor Njoku Njoku
Starting point is 00:36:30 Detroit's at Kansas City Okay, so I'm hoping that the Chiefs can score Because I want to debunk this Jared Gough outdoors thing His problem this year has not been indoor out or whatever I mean, they're better at home I'm not going to say they aren't He's got four straight games of 28 or fewer pass attempts All right, we need more pass attempts from Jared Gough
Starting point is 00:36:54 I think the Chiefs have the second highest implied total of the week So Vegas thinks you're going to get your wish excellent and i think teams do throw a lot on the chiefs i think um but listen last year jared golf was tied for first in yards per attempt outdoors he was second in touchdown rate um he just he was great you know and he had the fourth fewest past attempts outdoors but he was great this year his numbers are definitely better indoors than outdoors he's seventh in yards per attempt overall he's 12th in yards per attempt outdoors so he must be really high indoors. But remember, they haven't played that many games. But he's still first and
Starting point is 00:37:33 completion rate outdoors. I don't think this is an indoor-outdoor thing unless there's it's never really been an indoor outdoor thing. It's indoor outdoor and opponent. You know, so take the three games that he's played outdoors. He played a really tough Green Bay team outdoors and he struggled. He played a really bad Baltimore team outdoors and did not have to do very much because they ran the ball. And he played a terrible Bengals team outdoors and he was awesome. And so this is not the setup for him to where he typically does well. The hope would be is exactly what you talked about
Starting point is 00:38:02 with the potential points that this is a shootout. That's what I'm saying. Does that happen from the Chief's perspective because it just hasn't been their M.O.? Also, can the Chiefs do well against the run? Because the Ravens scored 30 points against the Lions, but the Lions still ran all over them and he only threw 28 passes in that game.
Starting point is 00:38:20 Can they stop the run a little bit? This has to be the game of the week tomorrow, right? Oh, I forgot. Yeah. Definitely a candidate. Definitely, definitely on the short list. All right, so Jared Gough for Justin Fields. I'll take Fields.
Starting point is 00:38:37 Fields. Okay. Jared Gough or... Jared Gough or... Mac Jones. I'll take Jones. If... Yeah, I've got Jones a little too low in my rankings,
Starting point is 00:38:52 but if Brock Purdy doesn't practice again today, I'll move him up to where he goes, and he'll be ahead of golf and Fields. All right. Oh, wait. Someone said Dave entered the chat. Dave better not be in the chat. We're just talking about game of the week.
Starting point is 00:39:05 I don't want to give anything away. Start us at David Montgomery. Lowen RB2 with the week that we're dealing with. I'd start him over Henry. To me, they're the same guy. Touchdown dependent. And his offense is much better to me. I've got Henry just ahead of him.
Starting point is 00:39:21 Montgomery's at 24. I would start him over Pollard and Carter and Camara. Chiefs are actually allowing 4.9 yards per carry to running backs. Run defense has not been that good. But obviously, we're getting very little in the passing game from Montgomery. All right, start St. Brown, Jameson Williams. We just can't do it, right? No, I would start just the guy that we talked about, Troy Franklin, over Jameson Williams.
Starting point is 00:39:45 Okay. And Sam Leporta, like them, love him, settle for him. How are you feeling? Start him. That's a great way to frame it. Settle for him. Settle for him. Chiefs so far have allowed the third fewest fantasy points to tight ends.
Starting point is 00:39:58 The only really good one they face, I guess, would be, I don't even know if I, Mark Andrews had seven catches for 30 yards. We don't know how tough of a matchup this is. But La Porta, speaking of someone who has a Laporta, I mean, I'm never replacing him. Just start him. Patrick Mahomes is top four. All right, he's been great. I did have a stat of the game on Mahomes. He has, oh, how about this?
Starting point is 00:40:22 Let's just compare the two quarterbacks who have the most deep ball pass attempts in football, 20 or more air yards. Patrick Mahomes is 7 of 26, 272 yards, and one touchdown. That's pretty bad. Baker Mayfield is 12 of 29, 432 yards, 6 touchdowns. Mayfield has six touchdowns on his deep balls. Mahomes has won.
Starting point is 00:40:45 Mahomes is just like really struggled in deep balls, but at least he throws him. All right, so start Mahomes. We're not starting a cheeps running back, right? No. Hunt will help you if he scores. He will hurt you. if he doesn't, Pacheco will just hurt you in general.
Starting point is 00:41:02 You want to, why don't you share with the audience your text messages with me? Pacheco got off to such a nice start against the Jaguar. I will say this, I was at a baseball game, so I was going to watch the game after the fact. And the only text I got from Adam was this. I suck. And then- No context whatsoever, just I suck. J.B.
Starting point is 00:41:23 It puts a question mark on it, and it said, it looked like Pacheco was set up for a good game after I finally dropped him, but then they went away from him, so he sucks. Now, it doesn't matter how well he plays. He doesn't play on third down. He doesn't play near the goal line. As far as the wide receiver goes, we talked about Worthy. He's a number two wide receiver. The guys are starting Xavier Worthy.
Starting point is 00:41:42 It goes Sutton, Worthy, Garrett Wilson, unless Heath, I think Heath has Sutton and Worthy back to back. But would anybody start Tyquan Thornton? Would you start Tyquan Thornton or Jameson Williams? I mean, that's a Spider-Man meme at this point, you know. I, why would you not take a chance on Thickmontford and more so than Jameson Williams right now? Because Detroit is allowing a lot of big plays. I would start Williams, but I don't want to start either.
Starting point is 00:42:10 Okay. And Travis Kelsey. Mason Taylor, Theo Johnson, Kyle Pitts, anyone we might have picked up off waivers. Are we starting Kelsey or those guys? Kelsey for one more week. Kelsey. Yeah, we should have talked about him in the sell high. I think for a lot of people, it might be obvious.
Starting point is 00:42:28 and maybe it won't happen again, but last year, he averaged four targets per game when Rishi Rice was healthy, the first three games of the season. He's coming off his best game. He got lucky with a, should have been a pass interference
Starting point is 00:42:39 that took away his touchdown, but, you know, the chiefs get all the calls, obviously. So, what do you mean? You're talking about the pick play? Yeah, the referee on ESPN said it should have been pass interference. Yeah, next time you should let Andy Reid
Starting point is 00:42:53 give the explanation as opposed to the referee. Within a yard of the line of scrimmage, you're allowed to do that. I know, but it wasn't within a lot. It's where the contact is made, and that wasn't within the yard of the line of scrimmage. She said it was close,
Starting point is 00:43:03 but it should have been pass interference. Also, clear pass interference on their interception. I don't think anyone can dispute that. It is not the receiver down and intercept it. Come on. All right. Yeah, but anyway, you could sell high on Travis Kelsey. Sit the DSTs.
Starting point is 00:43:17 Seattle's at Jacksonville. Question of the game, because this is huge. Why do teams throw so much on the Jaguars? The Jaguars see the second most pass attempts per game in the NF. NFL. We know if Sam Darnold throws, he's going to be really good. Heath,
Starting point is 00:43:31 how many past attempts do you have him projected for, sorry to throw that at you? 27? Oh, that's not a lot. It's not a lot. Jamie, what do you think? Pass attempts for Sam Darnold. Part of it for Jacksonville is they played Cincinnati and San Francisco.
Starting point is 00:43:50 So two of the more past happy teams. I think we'll get 30 plus attempts just because I think, like you said, this is a tough team to run on in Jacksonville. And part of it for Jacksonville is they don't sack anybody. Oh, that's interesting. CJ Stroud had his most pass attempts of the season against Jacksonville.
Starting point is 00:44:13 Bryce Young, second most pass attempts of the season against Jacksonville. And it's also relevant for Cooper Cup. Because in the two games where Sam Darnels thrown 33 to 34 passes, he's had nine targets in both of those games. It makes him a streamer. Otherwise, you're not going to want to start him. All right. These are the teams with fewer sacks in five games than Jacksonville, Baltimore, San Francisco, Carolina.
Starting point is 00:44:34 That's the list. It's amazing that Baltimore and San Francisco are on that list. Yeah, it really is. All right. So in general, how are we feeling about this game here? Who do we like? You know, a lot of, like, I feel like there are a lot of, like, number twos at their positions. Yeah, I mean, you asked us at the start of the show, right?
Starting point is 00:44:51 So Jackson's been the jig buzz and must start. And then I think you start to look at it as ETN is a, mid-tier number two running back. I know Heath is a little bit higher him than I am, but still you're starting him. I think Ken Walker is probably still a starter. So I would start Walker, for example, over Derek Henry and Alvin Camara.
Starting point is 00:45:07 I would too. Even with the splits. Charbonnet is really interesting just because he scored each of the last two games. Can he find the end zone again? So I think you're talking about flex options. He's in that conversation, but you're not starting him ahead of Henry or at least I'm not.
Starting point is 00:45:21 So touchdown dependent running back. And in the case of Brian Thomas Jr., and Cooper Cup and certainly Travis Hunter they're at best number three receivers I would still put Thomas as a starter in three receiver leagues but you know what are we getting at this point
Starting point is 00:45:40 his best game was last week where he scored 12 ppr points like is this where we are with him right now like we're just hoping he gets to 12 against a pretty good secondary and what does he have he has a rushing touchdown this year he doesn't have a receiving touchdown Seattle's 12th against wide
Starting point is 00:45:57 receivers. And again, I think they're getting a little healthier in their secondary as well. So he's below Garrett Wilson. I have them back to back 29 and 30. Heath, Garrett Wilson or Brian Thomas, Jr. I will go with Garrett Wilson. Would you start Michael Carter or Brian Thomas, Jr.? Carter in all formats? Yeah, I think that's probably the right play to go.
Starting point is 00:46:23 The other thing I will say in this game is like if you're desperate for a wide receiver, I know a lot of people are. Cooper Cup's been dropped in a couple of places. The two times that Sam Donald has thrown more than 30 passes, Cooper Cup has had nine targets. You just pulled Dave. Yeah, you did a little bit there. But look, I've been talking a lot, so I can understand being tuned out.
Starting point is 00:46:44 You say the same thing? Yeah. Word for word. But listen, I mean, Sam Donald, he is leading the NFL in yards per attempt. He's coming off a 36-point fantasy game, and the Jacksonville Jaguars see them most. second most fantasy point seven most past attempts it's just all right we got we got a few questions here about darnald uh darnell or golf i love that i did that it's okay i do it all
Starting point is 00:47:10 the time no oh i think yeah we've all done it this year but golf sam darnal for jamie goffer heath um a j barner mark andrews or theo johnson i'll take theo Charbonnet Kamani Vidal or Isaiah Pacheco As of now, I would take a chance on Vidal But the safer route is probably Sharbonnet Just because of the touchdown test like we could get the same amount of touches for Sharbon A and Vidal Yeah
Starting point is 00:47:39 By the way, you guys starting Cooper Cup or Brian Thomas Jr. Right now still Thomas Thomas But if Sam Donald throws 30 passes Cooper Cuff has 9% Yeah right, yeah Would you start Brian Thomas Jr. or Ken Walker? Walker.
Starting point is 00:47:58 Yeah. I mean, Walker, it's obvious, it's frustrating with Ken Walker because he's not getting any catches and the Jaguars are given up, what, 3.9 yards per carrier running backs. Last week wasn't their best. They gave up a 33-yard run to Kareem Hunt. But let's see, four running backs have had 32 or more receiving yards against Jacksonville, so that's good. But again, it's one catch and four.
Starting point is 00:48:23 straight games for Ken Walker. It's an interesting setup just because Jacksonville's coming off a very big emotional victory on a short week and Seattle's coming off a tough loss at home. We know about the long road trip and the early start, so just keep that in mind. But I do think if Sam Donald throws the ball a little bit more, there's a chance for Cooper Cup to have potentially a good game. Running back in this game or J.K. Dobbins. Dobbins.
Starting point is 00:48:48 Dobbins. Running back in this game or a Packers wide receiver against the Bengals? Um, Etienne. Yeah, both. Yeah, Dobbs has a chance to be good, but it's tough to say he's better than these running backs. Trevor Lawrence is not a start, 20th, 21st, 19th, and 24th for Jamie Dave Heath. You like a DST in this game? You know, Jacksonville has been very turnover prone, or turning teams over.
Starting point is 00:49:21 I don't know what's a they've been their defense yeah prone to creating turnovers um so desperation play maybe but I feel like if I had to start one of the two I would start Seattle's just because as he said you know the lack of sacks lack of quarterback pressure has been a problem okay let's take a break Arizona's at Indianapolis when we come back when you support Movember you're not just fundraising you're showing up for the men you love your dad your brother your partner your friends. It isn't just a men's issue. It's a human one. That's why Movember exists to change the face of men's health. From mental health and suicide prevention to prostate and testicular cancer research and early detection. MoVember is tackling the biggest health issues
Starting point is 00:50:08 facing men today. Join the movement and donate now at Movember.com. Let's talk about Arizona at Indianapolis. These two teams are actually top four in scoring defense. Only Houston and Denver allow fewer points per game than Arizona and Indianapolis. So Heath, kind of interesting that the total is 46 and a half. Yeah, I don't have both of their schedules in front of me, but it feels like that may be, have something to do with it. Arizona has faced these Saints, Panthers, Niners, Seahawks, and Titans. So yes, Indianapolis has faced a harder schedule than that,
Starting point is 00:50:46 but Miami, Denver, Tennessee, Rams, and Raiders. Okay. So obviously, if Kyler-Marie doesn't play, it changes everything. But if Kyler-Marie does play, Trey McBride's a start. We got to start Marvin Harrison, right? I mean, just stop asking, just start him. Yes. I don't know, like, he's a borderline wide receiver, too.
Starting point is 00:51:08 I don't know what about this season would make you say that, Adam. Like, he's the same exact guy that he was last year, basically. Yeah, I think the second I asked that question, I regretted the wording. I think the state of the wide receiver position is what makes me ask that question. They say they want to get him more targets. I'm guessing he's doing pretty well from a yards per route run rate because he just, I don't know about that actually. But he's been so close to having these bigger games.
Starting point is 00:51:36 Came up a yard short of a touchdown last week, had those two big drops against San Francisco, including one in the end zone. And the Colts allow the fifth most fantasy points to wide receivers. I think they're a little bit better than that if you really look into it. Oh, you might have the double revenge game narrative here. Jacobi Berset against the Colts and Marvin Harrison, the place where his dad played. Yeah, that's another element of it, too. There is that little sentimental thing.
Starting point is 00:52:00 If Kyler plays, would you start him? No. No. All right, so tell me how you feel about Michael Carter. And if I may, do we have time? Completely useless comment that I've only got six games left. It's fine. Yeah, I'm just going to say this because why not?
Starting point is 00:52:19 I would not be surprised if Bam Knight got more carries this week. I'm not going to treat it that way, but I wouldn't be shocked. How do we feel about Michael Carter? More carries than Carter or more carries for himself? Because I think he can get the touches that were maybe going for DiMercado. Well, DeMercado and Knight combined for seven carries. Carter had 18. The way they keep apologizing to DeMercato, they might have to start him.
Starting point is 00:52:44 Like it might be some sort of settlement issue over him getting yelled at. No, not more carries than Carter, by the way, Jamie. enough to really hurt Carter in a worse matchup than what he had last week. But I'm not approaching it that way. I'm not approaching it that way. I think in the case of Carter had 23 total touches in a game that they were playing with a lead the majority of the time. So you have to expect, in this case, especially if Kyler's not there. Now, listen, if Kyler's not there, we may see some more on-schedual plays from Brissette throwing from the pocket as opposed to Kyler escaping the pocket.
Starting point is 00:53:18 So that might help Marvin Harrison and my help Tray McBride. I do think, though, in the case of Carter, the thing that I'm kind of hoping for is the five targets and five catches stays in that range. Yes. So and the chance to fall in the end zone. So there's, like you said, this is a crappy week of running backs and the fact that I would even think, I don't know where you are Heath fully on this, but like I, the fact that I would even consider starting Carter over Henry and Camara just kind of is more an indication of where those guys are as opposed to like. liking Carter. So if he can get north of 15 total touches, I would think that's going to happen. Then I think he's in that borderline number two flex range. Because if you if you think about it, in the, I'll say the James Connor era, the starting running back for the Cardinals,
Starting point is 00:54:07 most of it's been Connor, which is, you know, take that into account, has found a way to be productive. Like they've been a good running back team for fantasy. Yes. Even in the games where Connor has missed, that second player has done well. Absolutely. And, yeah, the catches are really what drew me to Michael Carter to begin with, because they throw to their running backs, even though he played, he ran one route on third down, and he had five catches. He just doesn't need the third down rule.
Starting point is 00:54:35 All right. But obviously, like, he's not a great player. The Colts are not a very good run defense, though. They've faced some good running backs, but they've given up four and a half yards per carry to running backs. on the other side heath how do you feel about the colts you ike we said earlier you all have daniel jones 14th to 16th so you don't love him um colts are probably the easiest team yeah they're always um you like johniel jones makes
Starting point is 00:55:02 it complicated and we're not starting him this week but jonathan taylor's maybe the best running back in football michael pitman's a number two wide receiver tyler warren's a top three tight end and you probably don't want to start anybody else i will say this is about jones you can get the same game you got last week from him. 212 and 2, 20 fantasy points. He's been 20 or more fantasy points in every home game this year. This is amazing.
Starting point is 00:55:29 The Cardinals, I don't know what to make of this, but I think it's probably just the matchups. They see the, as I keep saying, the most quarterback pass attempts in the NFL, and yet fifth fewest fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. They must be pretty good. I think they're touchdown rated. They've played a lot of bad quarterbacks
Starting point is 00:55:44 who have been behind and had to throw a lot. I guess so I mean Bryce Young 55 attempts in that game against them Spencer Rattler 46th
Starting point is 00:55:51 they've had honestly one of the easiest schedules you could find from an opponent standpoint yeah like you look at
Starting point is 00:55:58 the quarterbacks who have faced them it's just a miserable list let me see if I have any questions here Michael Carter
Starting point is 00:56:05 or Stefan Diggs Diggs Diggs Michael Carter or Zach Charbonne Carter Carter you usually have a ton
Starting point is 00:56:15 of Oh, here's Josh Downs or Tyrone Tracy. I would probably go downs. You know, did have six catches last week. Like, Tracy's such a wild card right now. I would go Tracy, but no confidence in that. Yeah, we usually have a lot of Daniel Jones questions. Daniel Jones or Mack Jones.
Starting point is 00:56:33 There's one. I'll go Daniel Jones. That's close. I'll go Mac, assuming birdies out. Rico, Dowdell or Michael Carter? We're definitely going Dowdell. Yeah. Trayvion Henderson or Mike Jones.
Starting point is 00:56:45 Carter Carter Carter Camara Carter for me yeah it's Carter I do have Carter behind Henry but I have Carter ahead of Camara and Carter Jalen Warren or Chase Brown I would go Carter I'll go Chase Brown in full PPR last one here Marvin Harrison Jr. Cam Scadaboo DeAndre Swift start two I would Sit Scataboo. I would sit Harrison. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:57:24 And the DSTs in this game, you guys like the Colts. He actually likes the Cardinals, too. Dave and Jamie do not like the Cardinals. Cardinals, man, like, remember week one, they had, who was it? New Orleans, didn't really come through. Last week, they had Tennessee.
Starting point is 00:57:42 Didn't really come through. They've been a little disappointing that DST. I've lowered the Cardinals. They're 15th for me now. Okay. So let's not start them. Next game, Chargers at Miami.
Starting point is 00:57:54 It's that of the game. Miami sees the second fewest wide receiver targets per game in the NFL. And no quarterback has thrown more than 30 passes against the Dolphins. They see the fifth most running back carries per game in the NFL. So teams run on them. But will this team be able to do that? It's a different game script with Amari and Hampton there. But, you know, look, for a team where we might be saying to start three wide receivers,
Starting point is 00:58:23 does it concern you at all, Heath, that the Dolphins see the second fewest wide receiver targets per game in the NFL? I think so much of this, again, and it's five weeks, and we want to have data that really matters, but so much this is influenced by who they've played. And last week against Carolina was a team you would expect to have a lot of wide receiver targets, but Rico Dallow ran for 200 yards, so they didn't have to throw that much. much. The week before they played the Jets, they just don't really throw. The week before that, they played the bills. If the bills are ahead, they don't really want to throw that much. They played the Colts in week one. I just think this is so much about they've played some
Starting point is 00:58:59 really good running backs and some really run heavy teams. And they haven't been, they don't put teams in a situation where they need to pass because they're always behind. And this might be the case again, but the thing that you hope for Quentin Johnston, Keenan Allen, and Ladd McConkey is that Kamani Badal and Hassan Haskins are not efficient rushers. And so the Chargers who I think have the second highest pass rate over expected so far this year behind only the Chiefs or maybe just ahead of the Chiefs that the Chargers will keep passing. Do we like Justin Herbert? He's been ice cold, three straight games with 16.6 or fewer fantasy points. I'm starting him.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Yeah, I think you go running right back to him just because he's probably going to, it wouldn't shock me. I'm sure this is not anything earth shattering. Like he's their best rusher this week. What's last week? And he was the start of the season too. You know, like he was leading them in rushing yards, I believe, for the first two weeks of the season. We had 60 yards and two games. So this is an opportunity for him to, you know, take control of the offense again.
Starting point is 01:00:09 I don't think this dolphin secondary is one to fear. I think, as you guys alluded to, it's kind of just been game script dependent and who they played. This feels like a Justin Herbert game. I'll get to the running backs in a minute. Rank the all the wide receivers in this game, the big four.
Starting point is 01:00:28 Waddle, Keenan, Quentin, Lad. I would just flip-flop Quentin and Keenan, but the most part of agree. So Waddle 1, McConkey, 4, and then some order in between. Yep. Okay.
Starting point is 01:00:42 Obviously, this could be a really good game for fantasy because the Dolphins stink on defense, but they also give us some good fantasy points. Tua, on the other hand, Tua is 17th for Jamie and Dave. He's 21st, I think, although I could be a little outdated with those rankings. I think that sounds right.
Starting point is 01:00:59 Okay. It's actually 18th for Jamie, 17th for Dave, and 22nd for Heath, so it's changed just a little bit since yesterday. Start A. Chan, start Waddle. So, Darren Waller, all right, I'll save Kamani Vidal and Haskins for last, but Darren Waller is fifth for Dave and Jamie. Let me make sure we got it up.
Starting point is 01:01:17 He's 12th for me. I moved him up a little bit. I'm so excited about Darren Waller. I am pretty terrified about the matchup. All right. Let's go over it. Travis Kelsey, week one, two catches, 47 yards, and a touchdown. Remember that kind of trick play that he scored on, not trick play, but gimmicky play he
Starting point is 01:01:35 scored on. Brock Bowers in week two. five catches 38 yards on eight targets against the chargers Theo Johnson caught a touchdown in week three or four and Zach Ertz last week against the chargers one target no catches so yes this does seem like a genuinely tough matchup and that was my favorite stat of the week and I'm not here for the commander's game so it can't you make this
Starting point is 01:01:58 your stat of the game tomorrow that was the first game that Zach Ertz has played without a catch since November 27th, 2014. Wow. Were you even working at fantasy football today at that point? I started... At fantasy football today? We're at CBS.
Starting point is 01:02:19 I think I was working at fantasy baseball today then. No, I started in 2015. So Zach Ertz had caught a pass in every game that he had played during my tenure at CBS. Who did you say was like in middle school or something, the last time? No, not middle school. Harold Fanon was in fifth grade.
Starting point is 01:02:40 Fifth grade. That was good stuff. Jamie, you're more optimistic for Waller. I just think that with the, you know, opportunity of Tyree Kill being gone, and we've seen the playing time increase, he gets used in a little different ways than traditional tight ends,
Starting point is 01:03:01 especially in this offense. So given the week, I still trust him. Okay. Tua is banged up. Yeah, people are saying that in the chat, and I forgot to mention it. He is nursing a couple of injuries right now. So we should keep that in mind. I don't think it's going to change the rankings for Waddle, A. Chan, or Waller necessarily, unless we get more information. All right. So we're going to finish with Kamani Vidal and Hassan Haskins. And Jamie, how did you rank those two this? Back to back. Vidal, one spot ahead. They're both flexes. I will say this, because there's an easy opportunity here for one of them, if not potentially both of them, to do something significant. Sell them after. this week because someone's going to get excited if they have a big game and it's the dolphins. It's not going to be sustainable. And then Henton's coming back. So with all the biweeks that we're going to be starting to deal with, especially week eight, if you can turn the best running back from the Chargers backfield if one stands out significantly more than the other one, trade them now. But there's no indication unless I miss something. I've tried to read
Starting point is 01:04:00 everything from the Chargers. I read what Harbaugh said. I don't think we've seen video of who's been the first one in practice yet. So I have no answer. I mean, I don't know about you, Heath. I was out of baseball practice last night. Parent came up to me and said, hey, Vidal or Haskins, I was like, plug a coin.
Starting point is 01:04:19 There's really no rhyme or reason to it. And last week, like we were not really, very sure on Tuesday between Carter and Di Mercado. And Wednesday, we were favoring Carter, but it was just because we thought so. And then Thursday, I think it was that Carter said in locker room that he was starting and so i i'm just and we got some information about him going first in line so i'm hopeful i'm going to follow those reports and i'm going to follow them too
Starting point is 01:04:46 and i'll rank whoever the beat riders and the practice reports are reporting or leading the backfield um but i'm not i think both guys are going to get work i don't think it will be as clear cut as it was with carter last week okay some questions for this game real quick jaylyn waddle brian Thomas Jr. or D.K. Metcalf. Waddle. Oh, yeah. Haskins or Vidal? You just said that. Vidal ahead, one spot.
Starting point is 01:05:13 Waller or Leporta? Waller for me. Leporta for me. Ladd-McConkie, Jalen Warren, or Michael Carter, who sits? I would sit Warren just with the uncertainty of what happens there, plus a very tough matchup. Awful matchup, yes, I agree. Remember when I said I didn't like that. like running back. That was the one guy who kind of inspired it.
Starting point is 01:05:36 Is the Warren, Warren, Pollard, Carter, you know, charger situation. They just have bad matchups or bad situations. Herbert, Love, or Caleb, who you starting? Herbert. I've got her. Herbert and Love and Caleb are back to back to back
Starting point is 01:05:55 for me at four, five, and six. No, five, six, and seven. I'm going to go with Love. Okay. How many games do we have left? I think we have three left. I suspect we're going to leave one for tomorrow. Let's go to Rams at Ravens here. Stat of the game, five wide receivers have scored
Starting point is 01:06:12 15.6 or more PPR fantasy points in the last four games against the Rams. Maybe you thought I was going to say the Ravens, but five wide receivers have scored 15.6 or more fantasy points against the Rams in their last four games. That's Ellick-Ill-Manner,
Starting point is 01:06:29 both Eagles receivers, Michael Pittman, and Kendrick Bourne. It's been a good matchup. I think Derek Henry is the only tough call in this game, for me at least. I'm starting Stafford. I'm starting Kyron. I'm starting Puka. I'm starting Adams. I'm starting Zay. And Henry is, I hope I have someone to start over him. Dave sent me a link yesterday. I don't want to misquote Stephen O. who does our sports line projections, but I don't think he likes Stafford that much. I don't know if Thomas, you have that information of where Sportsline has. He does not. So there, it's a story on our site that they do
Starting point is 01:07:02 some of their data that they don't put behind the paywall for sports line. And I was going to bring this up when you said it. You kind of alluded to this, Adam, that game flow could be bad for Stafford. And game flow from a perspective of they're playing with the lead, and he's handing the ball off a lot late in the game. Yeah. I mean, I don't know if I said this last week, but from 2020 to 2022, the Ravens were four and nine without Lamar Jackson. They averaged 16.2 points per game. They scored 10 points last week.
Starting point is 01:07:30 They're awful without Lamar. Jackson. They were unusually bad last week. They ran 40 plays, which is insanely low. But, yeah, I don't know. It just, it does worry me a little bit. There's just how high. I mean, one thing to say Matthew Stafford is a start. You guys have them in the
Starting point is 01:07:46 top six. Six for Jamie and Dave. Fourth for Heath. You know, that's a lot of faith in a guy. If they blow them out, what's that going to look like, especially when he was a run? This is a defense that just made C.J. Stroud look great again. And Mahomes was great the week before. Like,
Starting point is 01:08:01 The Rams, honestly, they could do whatever they want to against this defense if the offense for Baltimore is as bad as we expect it to be. And so I would not be shocked if this is like a 203 game for Stafford, you know, where he's not necessarily getting to the 300 yards per game. But we've seen this defense. They give up broken plays. It's just not the same team right now. And so I think if you're looking at Stafford and, you know, so like, you know, Stafford and, you know, so like, you know, Stafford and. and Jaden Daniels, for example, or Stafford and I'm trying to think of the must start guys. Like, Justin Field, to me, Stafford's easier.
Starting point is 01:08:39 I have Stafford and Caleb Williams. It's tough. I think I'm going Stafford at six point per passing touchdown. Yeah, I would too. You know, so it's just one of those scenarios of could Stafford let you down because it's a run game for the Rams or maybe there's some turnovers and the defense scores like that obviously could happen. But I just think you take your chances with what this matchup has been. And how hot he's been. And I get it.
Starting point is 01:09:03 You know, it's been a lot of throwing because of necessity. But it's also, you know, I feel like Sean McVeigh, when he gets in this rhythm with Stafford, he doesn't like to stop it. Somebody put something about you guys are overthinking it in the chat. And I think that's like you have a quarterback that's averaging 24 fantasy points per game and he's playing a defense that's giving up 28 fantasy points per game. And yes, this is fantasy football. All types of dumb things happen every week.
Starting point is 01:09:28 And it could happen to Matthew Stafford this week. But you can't. You just start that guy. All right. Fair enough. Start, as he said, start Kyrin, start Puka, start Adams, sit the Rams tight ends, sit Cooper Rush, who, you know, somebody also said, I gave that stat about all the wide receivers who had done well against the Rams.
Starting point is 01:09:45 They said, well, how many of them had Cooper Rush throwing to them? Well, Cooper Rush was actually pretty good for C.D. Lamb on two separate occasions. You know, he's not that big of a drop-off usually. And Zayflowers had a 25% target share or better in. four or five games so um do so is it just like i'm going to start him because you know he's been good or is it i'm excited to start zay flowers i think it's kind of the little port of comment you made like you're you're settling for zay flowers so i like flowers better than brian thomas better than garratt wilson this week better than um and this is mostly ppr i don't think he's
Starting point is 01:10:25 going to score a touchdown but that would be nice it's you're hoping for the seven for 70 you know type of game that he's been giving us. Yeah. He absolutely destroyed Derek Stingley on a deep route and had a 56-yard catch, I think. He's really good. Problem for Flowers, one red zone target, one green zone target, one end zone target. I'm not projecting any red zone targets for the Ravens. But the nice thing is A-Flour's is one of those guys that can score from a lot further away
Starting point is 01:10:56 than the red zone. That's true. It just doesn't seem to happen. I'm seeing if we have any Derek Henry questions. I got one so far. Henry or Stevenson? Henry. I initially had it ranked Stevenson ahead of Henry, but Henry over Stevenson.
Starting point is 01:11:10 Okay. I think that's just where we should focus real quick. And I will say one thing about this because I think if I remember the sports line story correctly, it's more about game flow. And they like Daniel Jones better than Stafford. I don't know how game flow wouldn't necessarily be different there. I don't know if they'd like him better if Kyler Murray were out. Henry
Starting point is 01:11:30 I think the Calgary plays Like the Colts are blowing teams out at home Yeah the Colts have been great They lead the NFL in point differential The nice thing about blowing people out Is if you do that you have to score a lot of points Not if your defense does it though Henry or Dobbins
Starting point is 01:11:43 We definitely like Dobbins there Henry or Trayvian Henderson Henry Still Henry Flowers or Olave Flowers Spider-Man meme I'll take flowers
Starting point is 01:11:54 Henry or Pacheco Henry Manry. Flowers or Quentin Johnston? Johnston. I think I have flowers one spot higher. If Kyler doesn't play Rush or Brissette? Brissette.
Starting point is 01:12:13 Okay. He's pleading the fifth. Cleveland's at Pittsburgh. Stat of the game, Jalen Warren is facing a defense that is both good against the run and good against past catching running backs. I never know what to make of a team being good against past catching running backs, but Cleveland has been really, really good against, what is it?
Starting point is 01:12:32 I mean, Chase Brown, two catches, eight yards, with Borough, Justice Sill, three for 18. Josh Jacobs had a big five catches, 44 yards. Javier Gibbs, two for six. Jordan Mason, three catches for four yards. So it's tough. You know, Jalen Warren, you know, where are you guys out on him compared to Henry and Carter and blah, blah, blah. behind them it's just i i want to be hopeful for warren he was very good before the injury but now you have tough matchup and another guy that was really good while he was out so
Starting point is 01:13:04 what's the split that we're looking at and what happens in this tough matchup so it's just one of those situations where if you can afford to sit jalen warren you should but very difficult to sit a player of what his caliber was at least prior to the injury yeah he had scored i want to say 14 or more fantasy points in every game, PPR. A lot of that was catches. Aaron Rogers throws to his running backs all the time. It's just a big part of what he does. So is anyone in this game that is a slam dunk other than Judkins?
Starting point is 01:13:36 Judkins has to be. But is there anyone else that's a slam dunk? I mean, I still think Matt Kaff's the number two receiver, but I understand the trepidation. So I wouldn't say it's a slam dunk. You know what, Nizoku. I'm going to buy back in. after what I saw last week.
Starting point is 01:13:53 Yeah, okay. Which quarterback do you like better? Still Rogers. Okay. What is the state of the Pittsburgh defense? Are they getting Highsmith back? That's how many. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:10 I think they might be good. Because they were healthy in week one against the Jets, and they stunk. So, you know, they've been so injured. Justin Fields does present a. few different difficulties that Dylan Gabriel did not. Justin Fields had one of the highest passer ratings of his career. No, I understand like in this, I'm just saying, is this a tough matchup? I don't, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:14:30 I don't think we can say that. I know they've been super banged up. I think it's a tough matchup based on the way we saw them against Minnesota. Like, that looked like the Steelers defense. And this will be interesting because the Steelers chose to take thereby coming back from the Europe game. The Browns didn't. So it's a team at home coming off the by against a team that,
Starting point is 01:14:51 coming back from London. And is this, if I'm not mistaken, is it three straight road games for the Browns? Not sure. I think they were home last week. You know what I mean? Yeah. Then in that case, I think you're right.
Starting point is 01:15:05 Alex Highsmith, very important player for the Steelers, he was limited. Joey Porter is going to play. He was practiced in full. And Jalen Ramsey did not practice. You also have, well, I mean, if there's one game where he can miss, it's this one for Ramsey.
Starting point is 01:15:18 I think in the case of also the start of the season, remember, Cam Hayward wasn't practicing very much because of his contract situation. Yeah. So can I rewind for a second because this game sucks? Yep. Okay, thanks. Somebody in the chat said something about the weather in Baltimore. And I don't look at the weather on Thursdays, but I did go check Kevin Roth,
Starting point is 01:15:39 and he shows this one as a yellow orange that could turn into an orange on Sunday morning if the forecast validates. That's Baltimore. At Baltimore, the Rams that the forecast on Wednesday, called for a lot of wind and a lot of rain. If that's the case, Stafford will certainly be lower. Okay. Good to know.
Starting point is 01:15:57 As far as this game goes, would you start a Brown's wide receiver? Any interest? No. No. I got a question in the chat. Fanon, Tongus, or Barner? I'll take Tongus.
Starting point is 01:16:11 Assuming the wide receivers don't come back. It sounds like Pierceall is not going to and they're holding out hope for Jennings. Right. Which DST do you prefer? Steelers. There are both starts, but yeah, I think I have the Steelers hire. I'm going to let you guys decide.
Starting point is 01:16:32 I might have the Browns hire. Do we save Titans Raiders for tomorrow? No, it's just an easy game. Knock it out. All right. Let's see. I have a Steelers hire. Calvin Ridley.
Starting point is 01:16:45 Here's a Calvin Ridley stat. Eight wide receivers have scored 11.4 or more PPR fantasy points against the Raiders. That's good. Seven wide receivers have scored 14.6 or more PPR fantasy points against the Raiders. And actually, I think only six, six. And none of those six had more than eight targets. So this is a great matchup for Calvin Ridley, who's excited. I think he's a good number three receiver.
Starting point is 01:17:09 You know, finally got on the same page with Cam Ward last week. I think we've mentioned this a couple times now. Like the schedule to start the season for the Titans was pretty brutal. And rookie quarterback stepping into that, struggling. So hopefully this is the point last week was that, you know, Ridley's starting to look like what we thought he could be and now great matchup. So I wouldn't necessarily say must start wide receiver, but a good number three receiver for this week.
Starting point is 01:17:33 And maybe the best receiver in this game. I mean, you know, Myers has just not been getting the job done. I still would start Myers over him, but it wouldn't shock me if Ridley's better. What was your stat on the wide receivers against the Rams? Let's say wide receivers against the Rams. Five wide receivers have scored 15.6 or more PPR fantasy points in the last four games against the Rams. Calvin Ridley played them in the last four games, and he had 5.7 fantasy points. He also played a team that's given up more fantasy points to wide receivers than the Raiders, the Colts, and he had 3.7 fantasy points.
Starting point is 01:18:07 He's the definition of a boom-bust wide receiver 3, and he's a low-end win for me, but. Yeah, it's like, here's a question in the chat, Ridley or Sutton? Sutton. Oh, Sutton. Ridley or Garrett Wilson. Wilson Wilson I mean I watched the targets I didn't watch all the routes but I watched the targets for for Calvin Ridley and there were two or three where he absolutely destroyed the defender turned him around had a great route got to open and then he had a couple of dimes from from Cam Ward he had some drops earlier in the year it's like the way I'm feeling right now is I don't have this decision but if I had Calvin Ridley versus Tony Pollard my gut is telling me Ridley over Pollard but my brain is telling me that's too risky. Ridley's had such a horrible season up until one game.
Starting point is 01:18:53 But I am worried about Pollard, what I said earlier. If they have a bigger split, you know, he fumbled last week. I don't know. That's not really part of it. But if they have a bigger split, this is a good one defense, you know. So obviously we're starting Gentie. Michael Mayer will come back to Pollard in a second, but just to knock out the Raiders. Starting Gentie, Michael Mayer, start or sit?
Starting point is 01:19:12 I think he's a good flyer in a tight-end premium league if you're stuck. but this is such a good week for tight ends the one thing would be is now they can run their offense maybe what they didn't have an opportunity to do last week because of who was playing tight end for them. And Jacoby Myers, I mean, the Titans stink against everyone, I think. They just have a bad defense.
Starting point is 01:19:30 They're bad against wide receivers too, but Myers is really struggling. Well, I mean, the defense good or bad gets the great equalizer which is Dino Smith, so which Dino will show up. Myers or Kendrick Boren, question from the chat. Born for me if everybody's out.
Starting point is 01:19:47 Myers for me. Okay. Heath, born or Ridley? That will be determined by who plays. If Jennings is back, then it'll be Ridley. If Jennings is out, it'll be born. Myers or Brian Thomas, Jr. Myers.
Starting point is 01:20:05 Mayers. Trey Tucker, Trevion Henderson, Keon Coleman. I'd take a chance on Tucker. I'd get Tucker. I'd get Tucker. I mean, six targets or more in three of his last four games. and no Bauer's, so yeah. Tucker or Wondale tonight?
Starting point is 01:20:22 Tucker. Tucker has more upside. Wondale's probably safer. This is all assuming Bowers is out. I think it would change if Bowers played. And okay, so then let's finish with where you're at on Tony Pollard. We'll end the show there. Low end number two running back.
Starting point is 01:20:38 I would start him ahead of Henry and Camara, for example. Like the fact that he scored in two of his last three games, like the fact that he has three catches in each of his last three games. and so yes there is the potential for more of a split there also is a potential for them finally playing with a lead just based on how the raiders have performed so i still think we're looking at north of 15 total touches for pollard so hopefully finds the end zone again i've moved for exactly 15 touches and he's rb 26 he's behind henry he's ahead of camara he's ahead of carter he's ahead of remandre but i really would like it if i didn't have to start him yeah All right. I think it's going to be maybe a little bit of a tough week at running back. Let's see how the running back start the week. Hoping for a big game for Seque Juan Barclay and Cam Scadaboo.
Starting point is 01:21:26 And we will recap that tomorrow and give you start or sit for the NFC home games. Have a great day, everybody. See you. A lip-syncing nobody took over the internet. What's up, guys? For new joiners, it's your boy, Whitey. And also, your mom. I've been lusting after William White, who's younger than my son.
Starting point is 01:21:56 I feel like a lot of my fans needed to feel young again. Like, gain a spark back. I've probably given him anywhere from $100,000 to $200,000. Thirst trap. The fame, the fantasy, the fallout. Now streaming on Paramount Plus.
