Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath. Two points from the Texans. What? Not a very good day of football yesterday. A couple of yucky games. Starting point is 00:02:20 I don't know the answer to this question, but do you think Heath, that is the first time that I've said the word yucky on the air? Or do you think I've said it before? I think you've probably said yucky. You said a lot of words on the air over the years. So you've probably said yucky before. I probably have. I was just thinking, so I'm in four finals and two of them are against Heath.

Starting point is 00:02:38 Would I rather go two and two and lose both of my Heath matchups or go say one and three, but split my Heath matchups or go say one in three, but split the Heath matchups. Like what would be preferable for me? I think two and two, but man, I wouldn't want to lose both to you. That would be bad.

Starting point is 00:02:58 Yeah, that would be, I mean, thankfully, I'm not the type of person that would bring that up for the next calendar year or changed my team logo to, to, uh, to rub that anybody's face. We already met in the podcast league. Oh, that's right. Three years ago. Right. And you beat me 2021.

Starting point is 00:03:16 Yeah. It was a very, very similar year. I think I also had two losses that year. Um, and I, I believe I beat you 180 to 112 in that matchup. Well, in one of my leagues that I'm facing, Heath, I had Joe Mixon and Kaimi Fairbairn. So we're off to a good start. All right, Jamie, we'll be here shortly.

Starting point is 00:03:36 We'll recap yesterday's games. I hope everybody had a Patrick Mahomes holiday and not a Kaimi Fairbairn holiday, but let's get into a player we love. Heath, who do you love? Uhm, yeah, I think I think I'm not supposed to use Thursday guys. I mean you love Zach Charbonneau.

Starting point is 00:03:55 Is that where you're going? That that's exactly like I think it's just it's worth saying because this is a. This is a week that even if it's your job to do this with the Christmas holiday and with the short week the games on wednesday and the games on saturday it's easy to like kinda get lost in the shuffle and miss the big news and the big news is the sex are amazing top. Eight running back in all formats once again can walker is out it's a thursday night game we are starting zack charbonnet over pretty much everyone. We are starting Zach Charbonneau over pretty much everyone. I believe he averaged 22 fantasy points per game in his first four starts this season.

Starting point is 00:04:28 I'd take 22 tonight. Yeah, that'd be pretty good. And he's got a match up that terrific match up against the Bears and Bo Nix is Jamie's start of the week. He talked about him a little bit yesterday, but you are not quite there. You have him 15th. Dave and Jamie have him combined 15th, 7th for Jamie, 8th for Dave. So you're not quite there with Bo Nix. And I actually have him ranked one spot higher than

Starting point is 00:04:51 he is in the projections. I have Nix, Stafford and Aaron Rodgers all kind of in a cluttered mess from QB 14 to QB 16. Just looking at the guys, I'm trying to think of who I must have ahead of him that they don't. One would be Patrick Mahomes. I feel pretty good about that one. One would be Anthony Richardson. I just think Richardson has a lot more upside, but I always have a hard time with how to rank him. So if you wanted to start Knicks over Richardson because of floor, I would get that. I do have Brock Purdy and Justin Herbert just ahead of Knicks. He's cool off a little bit. And for the most part, the rushing hasn't been as consistent in the second half of the season.

Starting point is 00:05:29 Okay. All right. That may also be a weather game, right? So someone had brought that up. I haven't seen it. Luckily, it's going to be kind of warm this weekend. Like even to in Cleveland, it's going to be maybe 40s 50s, something like that.

Starting point is 00:05:44 You can check the weather and maybe going to be raining in that Cincinnati, Denver game. But it's not such a bad weekend in terms of weather, at least from what I've seen, at least from temperatures. I don't think we're going to get any snow or anything like that. All right. But Bo Nix, like I said, I've been I've been deciding between Purdy and Nix. I'm going to go with Brock Purdy. You would also go with Brock Purdy.

Starting point is 00:06:03 So you're a little bit lower on Bo Nix. Player to avoid this week. Well, I'd like to avoid Joe Mixon and Kimi Fairbairn, but it's a little bit late for that. I've actually got Cooper Cup as an avoid. He is my number 34 wide receiver in full PPR leagues, even worse than that. And non PPR leagues has had back to back really poor fantasy outings.

Starting point is 00:06:28 Matthew Stafford, after a couple of great weeks, has been pretty miserable as of late. Also, it's like a 40% target share for Pukka Nakuwa over the last month. It's hard for anybody else in a pass offense to be relevant when one guy is taking 40% of the targets and we know Kyron Williams takes half the touchdowns. Well, Stafford, so you said you had Stafford in that kind of bone Knicks mix, right? Um, you know what you said with Rogers? He has thrown for 183 or fewer yards in three of his last four games.

Starting point is 00:07:01 Uh, whoa. So are they just going to be able to run the ball against the Cardinals and get an easy win? It's possible. It's a spread of that game, you know? Six and a half. All right. So he is not a big Cooper Cup fan.

Starting point is 00:07:16 Let me see if I get there's anyone I can throw on here that I wasn't really planning to do this. I'm sorry, Jamie will be here soon. But let me scan anyone I don't like this week. Well, I think I'm going to sit Garrett Wilson. I don't know how you feel about that. I know this there's the, we've got to get him more involved, but I just not really liking what I've seen. And Aaron Rogers wasn't exactly gung ho about, yeah, we need to get him more involved in there at Buffalo. He's only four spots ahead of Cooper cup for me. That's one of the games that I really struggle with because is

Starting point is 00:07:48 Buffalo's defense good right now? No, it's not. I don't think. And so I kind of just want to start all my jets. I do have a league where I have an image championship game. I have hall, I have Wilson and I have Devante Adams. And I'm trying to decide if I really want to have all three of those guys in my starting lineup.

Starting point is 00:08:05 And as of right now, I am benching Garrett Wilson in that league. Um, he's my, he's my least favorite jet amongst that group. Um, well, unfortunately I started Joe Mixon, so that's one of the guys, but I have, and I'm also benching Devontae Smith. I have Devontae Adams, Jordan Addison and Keenan Allen, Drake London and Breece Breeze Hall. Yeah, the only tough one. I might go Wilson over London, but definitely Keenan Allen ahead of him. Definitely Addison ahead of him. Breeze Hall ahead of him. Yeah. But I could see it's not an outright sit for Garrett Wilson. It's just... No, not at all. No. The other one is it's really interesting and it's, it's really just

Starting point is 00:08:45 maybe a situation that again, because of the holiday and the weird practice times for the NFL teams, I'm not sure we know much, but the, the Eagles are still nine point favorites over the Cowboys. Jalen hurts is still in the concussion protocol and hasn't played, hasn't practiced yet now the team didn't practice yesterday. So maybe, maybe it'll be, everything will be fine today. I think they just estimated his practice participation, but I'm going to be pretty nervous about both AJ Brown and Devontae Smith. If

Starting point is 00:09:16 they're starting Kenny Pickett or Pickett's banged up, it might be their third string quarterback. Yeah, Pickett was listed as limited. Jalen Hurts still in the concussion protocol. So that game we'll talk about tomorrow. But you know, as it relates to tonight, I guess, you're not gonna, are you gonna start DK? You're not gonna start DK Metcalf over AJ Brown, I would assume. I would certainly start DK Metcalf over Devante Smith. Okay.

Starting point is 00:09:40 And I would certainly start JSN over AJ Brown. I have DJ Moore over AJ Brown currently. I have Keenan Allen over AJ Brown currently. What about this idea? I mean, pick it through, I can't remember off the top of my head, would it be 15 targets or something like that? Like if it is pick it, you feel like they, hey Jamie. You know, there's gonna be a lot more past attempts.

Starting point is 00:10:05 I'm not calling AJ Brown a sit if Pickett starts. I just don't think AJ Brown is a must start if Jalen Hurts is out. All right, Jamie, I know your player that you love is Bo Nix. Who's, give me one player to avoid. One player to avoid for this week. God, it feels like so long ago I had to start set. Starting point is 00:10:25 Let's see. I'm going to avoid Ramon J. Stevenson if I can, man. That whole situation makes me nervous. Oh, yeah. Yeah. All right, Ramon J. Stevenson. Hopefully we get an answer from Gerard Mayo

Starting point is 00:10:41 and what they're going to do with Antonio Gibson. It's an interesting run defense because the Chargers have struggled lately in stopping running backs. And Stevenson's been good at times. He's had a hard time finding the end zone. It's basically like he has a good game bag. He alternates almost every week.

Starting point is 00:10:56 But if he's not gonna get the touches, how can you trust him? No, you can't. All right, so we'll talk about that game today. Here are the seven games we're talking about on today's show. Denver, Cincinnati, Chargers, all the Saturday games. Denver, Cincinnati, Chargers, Patriots, Arizona and the Rams.

Starting point is 00:12:32 The only thing I liked about these games yesterday was how it was pretty cool that I and Eagle and Noah Eagle were doing play by play. Like that's very cool. And they're both so awesome and they sound exactly alike. But horrible stuff in the fantasy world. If you- You must have enjoyed Iron Eagle's joke. What did he say?

Starting point is 00:12:51 The Stranger Things joke. Oh, that was a funny joke. Yeah, that was funny. It was good. He's the man. We should have him on the show, I think. I think he'd come on. We used to have him on our Sunday show

Starting point is 00:13:04 when we first started doing fantasy football today In like the first two years because we would go around the NFL To all of the AFC home games and all the announcers would do hits for us. It was awesome. That's cool We guys have any any things you want to say we don't have to talk about these games too long or anything No, anything want to say is Xavier worthy just doing the, like the exact same thing, Russia rice did in the end of last year? I wonder, uh, I mean, he's, he's reminding me a little bit more of what Tyree kill is doing as a rookie.

Starting point is 00:13:37 I wonder just how the, you know, first off does Kelsey come back. I want, I wonder what this offense looks like because they're finally fast. Yeah. Marquis Brown on the field, Xavier Reilly on the field. They could do so much. They could just, there's so much they could do. Andy Reed must be so happy right now. Um, like I was starting to think about quarterback rankings for next year and you know, we had

Starting point is 00:14:01 the, the talk about my home is he number one because of the weapons and all this stuff and he's looking like You know vintage malls again, and so he's not he's not one like the highest he would be for me is six But man this offense could be awesome again like hopefully from the get-go, you know not they're gonna wait till the middle of season Then just flip switch But my gosh fix the tackles which I'm sure they'll find a way and get him protected. And it's gonna be gonna be fun to watch, you know, rice and worthy and is Brown back or is he on a one year deal? He was on a one year deal.

Starting point is 00:14:35 Okay, so he's probably done. And then Adam, you were right. Play the play the clip. You were right. Lamar is the MVP. But you know, I switched to Alan, but then back to Jackson. Yeah. Yeah. It's so fun. He's having such a great year and he's completely in control out there. He's the man.

Starting point is 00:14:57 Jalen Warren maybe is a, I don't know. I mean, I didn't realize Najee had 13 carries, Jalen had 11. Like it felt like Jalen took over, but he didn't. But it's- Naji had a lot of work when the Steelers gave up and just had that last drive. I think he ran for like 50 yards or something. George Pickens got to keep his helmet on.

Starting point is 00:15:19 It's like he didn't get flagged. All right. The other game, CJ Strang- Warren's gonna be an interesting one next year because if they let Nas you walk like he's got top 20 upside. Yep. Oh, yeah. CJ Stroud said it may have been the worst game he's ever played. And if you didn't watch it, he was and probably, you know, a lot of you probably didn't. It's Christmas.

Starting point is 00:15:37 I understand it was a terrible game. He just was really off. I mean, he just was missing open guys. And everyone stunk. Everyone stunk on the Texans. And then only 15 pass attempts for Lamar Jackson. So that really hurt Zay Flowers and everyone. The tight ends got touched on. There's not much to say here. This was just a terrible performance by the Texans

Starting point is 00:16:00 and a dominant one by the Ravens. All right, so let's talk start or sit. And oh wait, we have an email of the day. Email of the day is from Cruzen for a Bruzen. He says, hello, Fender, Rockwell, and Hagar. Those are Sam's, and Sam Fender's coming to New York City in a couple months. Let's go to the show, everyone.

Starting point is 00:16:21 And I love Sam Rockwell, one of my favorites. All right, so Cruzen for a Bruzen says, last weekend, I had the pleasure of running into Heath Cummings on the sidewalks of downtown St. Augustine. I yelled out his name and he and his wife immediately came over and shook my hand. I told him that I love the show and that I listen to you guys every day. He smiled and gave me a slap on the shoulder as he walked towards what I can only assume the brewery. Is that true? Yeah no. I mean yes I was only assume the brewery. Is that true?

Starting point is 00:16:48 Uh, you know, I guess I was walking towards the brewery. I did not go into the brewery. Okay. As they were walking off, I turned to witness his wife patting him on the tookus as if saying good job, boo. The sighting made my night. You guys do a great job and I appreciate everything you do. And this guy's going for back to back championships in his league. Um, the only back to back championships in his league.

Starting point is 00:17:09 The only back to back champion in the league's 20 year history, if he can pull it off. But a little pat on the took us there like a little one of the the greatest Christmas light displays in the world in St. Augustine, I found out on Friday night last week. So, yeah, it's it was great. It was great to thanks for saying hi. Always say hi. Yeah. If you see us out walking around. Yeah, man. All right. News and notes. Anthony Richardson, a lot of people were listed as DNP yesterday. I don't know if any teams actually practiced, but Anthony Richardson was listed as a DNP. We're not worried. But Jalen Hurts was also,

Starting point is 00:17:37 he's still in the concussion protocol. Kenny Pickett was listed as limited. Again, we're going to get to that game tomorrow. Derek Carr was listed as a DNP and both Brown's quarterbacks were listed as limited. Right now the guys are ranking Dorian Thompson Robinson. Ken Walker. Do you think the Eagles play him because they don't have anything to play for? They do have something to play for.

Starting point is 00:17:59 They do? Yeah, they have to win one game or have the commanders lose to lock up the division. I'm almost positive. Oh, Washington's still catching them. Okay. I'm almost positive about that. They haven't locked up the division yet.

Starting point is 00:18:11 If they win or if the commanders lose, somebody want to double check on that, then week 18 is meaningless for them. And so they are watching them with the one seat and yeah, no, no, they still need to lock up the two. Um, I do think, well, okay. So technically Adam is right. Also the Eagles play the giants next week. Yeah. So that's true.

Starting point is 00:18:37 Yeah. And it's big for the giants. Cause obviously like we're going to beat the Eagles next week. If the Eagles have nothing to play for and lose the number one pick. Ken Walker's out. J.K. Dobbins was limited. First off, if that happens, we're podcasting right after the game.

Starting point is 00:18:53 J.K. Dobbins was limited. Trey Benson and James Connor were both limited. So right now, I guess they were walking around looking good in the locker room, according to one tweet I saw. So James Connor hopefully gonna play on Saturday at the Rams. Tyrone Tracy missed practice or was listed as a DNP.

Starting point is 00:19:08 So Devon Singletary is still available in about half our leagues. Basically like every Broncos running back appears, has a chance to play this week. They got the Bengals on Saturday. Kamara could play this week. Tony Pollard was listed as a DNP, but that's obviously no surprise. Christian Watson listed as a did not practice but he could play. A couple

Starting point is 00:19:28 guys in the concussion protocol might come back this week. Alec Pierce and Cedric Tillman. We've been saying that about Tillman for a while hopefully it actually happens. Malik neighbors was listed as a DNP with a foot injury I believe or a toe injury or something. He usually plays through everything but this is new. Drake London was limited. And then here's some guys who were listed as did not practice. Jalen Waddle, C.D. Lamb, Terry McLaurin,

Starting point is 00:19:52 and Devante Adams. I think the only one we're concerned about is Waddle as of now. And Chris Olave was listed as a full participant. So that's pretty interesting. And he's got Las Vegas. David Najoku is ranked right now by Dave, Jamie and Heath, but beware he was listed as a, as a did not practice.

Starting point is 00:20:10 He gets the great matchup against the Dolphins, but Njoku right now is on the injury report. Kate Otten has not practiced and Will Disley has a chance to play this week. Bengals could get, looks like they will get their left tackle back. Orlando Brown, he practiced in full. Saints offensive line is beat up. Cardinals offensive line is beat up Saints are hosting

Starting point is 00:20:29 the Raiders Cardinals are at the Rams on defense mentioned that Riley Moss Denver's number two cornerback he practiced in full and Green Bay hopefully this is the week they get Jair Alexander back he was listed as a full participant and Minnesota linebacker Ivan Pace has missed four straight. Okay. Okay. Fine. I'm sorry. I was trying to be nice. Minnesota linebacker Ivan Pace was listed as a full participant. He has missed four straight games. So hopefully he's not playing. I hope nobody plays on defense. I hope it is 11 on zero for the offices. There we go. We hope one of the better corners comes back. So, yeah, no, I hope I just want to either Justin Jefferson to him.

Starting point is 00:21:10 I think, I think there was a question in the chat and I think we should just, I think everybody agrees on this, but Matt asks, would you wait on Connor for Saturday or start Charbonneur tonight? Like, whether I have somebody who might play or might not play, I'm starting Zach Sharber day tonight in a full PPR league. He's top five. Yeah. The only way I would be waiting for somebody would be Barkley. Like that's it. Right. It'd be one, one running back leagues. All right. Starting point is 00:22:56 All right, Denver at Cincinnati, Cortland Sutton's had a couple of, well, one game he scored a touchdown, one game was just bad, 10 fantasy points last week. Going back to Cortland Sutton this week guys 100% He's a number two wide receiver over Garrett Wilson Yes

Starting point is 00:23:15 Okay The Chargers are at New England. Is there any scenario where you're starting a Chargers running back with confidence? So I made a decision in one league to you're starting a Chargers running back with confidence. So I made a decision in one league to it's non PPR. It's one of my father's son leagues. So my youngest son, he's six. So just to keep that in perspective, which is why I'm doing it for to bench George Pickett and in a flex spot for Brian Robinson, because I don't really love Bryan Robinson I nearly love George Pickett's but to wait out

Starting point is 00:23:49 JK Dobbins, so I would start Dobbins over Robinson for example if he's good to go so he would be in that you know We've talked about this a little bit. I don't know where Heath is on this I know Dave and I are someone a similar range of the mix in Hall Jerome Ford That group it's like running back 16 through 20 for me That's kind of where Dobbins will end up just because a little bit concerned about the layoff slightly concerned a little bit about you know Sharing a little too much with Gus Edwards coming off his best game

Starting point is 00:24:17 Now if Dobbins is out, I do think there's a chance for Edwards to have a decent game because three running backs in a row 96 rushing yards or more against the Patriots. And he has scored four touchdowns in the three games that Dobbins has been out. So he could fall into the end zone and get you 50 yards rushing like he did last week wouldn't be surprised. All right. Arizona's at the Rams. Well, I was going to ask starter sit Cooper Cup, but Heath already said that's a guy he wants to avoid. So he'd starter sit Kyler Murray. He is like the best up for me of those high upside QBs that I also recognize have no floor. I put Kyler and Caleb and Anthony Richardson in that group.

Starting point is 00:25:00 He's a he's a low end starter. I'd start Baker and over him, but there's not, for the most part, I'm starting Kyler Murray. All right, Jamie, I'll give you this one because we already talked about Garrett Wilson. Jets are at the Bills. How do you feel? Are we going to get a little squeaky crickets,

Starting point is 00:25:15 squeaky wheel for Garrett Wilson? I think so. You know, I think it's more a late game situation as opposed to more targets because it's not like he's not getting targets. He's the fourth most targeted receiver in the NFL. So he's still going to get his opportunities.

Starting point is 00:25:31 I think what he's been more upset about is when he's gotten his targets. So do they feed him early? Do they feed him late? You brought this up. Rodgers was kind of like, I don't know, when he was asked about it, about Wilson's being unhappy and not getting the ball. This is a tough situation across the board. Ownership obviously is a little bit of a joke right now after the athletic story.

Starting point is 00:25:52 Coach is not gonna be there. Wilson seemingly wanting out. Well, where are you investing in this team if you're investing? Are you investing in the 40 year old quarterback and 30 year old wide receiver? Are you investing in this talent and Garrett Wilson that could still be a stud?

Starting point is 00:26:05 I would hope they're investing in Garrett Wilson and there's somebody saying something to anybody, feed the kid, make him happy. So he's a number two receiver. If you've been starting him, you're obviously starting him. I'm not getting cute and starting Adam Thielen over him who's a waiver wire guy or Jalen McMillan is a waiver wire guy over Garrett Wilson. So you may have some tough calls, Coraline Sutton versus Garrett Wilson. You know, you can debate. I agree with Heath. You probably don't want to start Cooper Cup,

Starting point is 00:26:30 but I think this is going to be a Rams blowout and they get back on track because they're back indoors. So you can maybe debate Cooper Cup versus Garrett Wilson. I would start Wilson, but I get it. I do think that he gets fed a little bit more. Okay. So let's say, would you start if he were to start, J.K. Dobbins or Garrett Wilson? Wilson. Wilson. Non PPR, I'd start Dobbins, but PPR Wilson.

Starting point is 00:26:53 All right, next game, Colts are at the Giants. Starter sit Malik neighbors for the Colts in their last six games. Calvin Ridley last week caught a deep touchdown. He's the only wide receiver that scored more than 13.2 PPR fantasy points against the Colts in their last six games. That would be the Jets guys, the Bills, the Lions guys, the Patriots, the Broncos and

Starting point is 00:27:13 the Titans. League neighbors scores 13.2 fantasy points in his sleep. Unfortunately, he like only scores about 13.2 fantasy points, but starter sit neighbors. I have one tough call. I'm curious what what you guys would do of um league neighbors versus Drake London because the rest of my team is loaded and one final spot right now I have neighbors because PPR I have neighbors over London a little nervous about London with the hamstring and you know rookie quarterback on the road and he could see a little bit of Latimore if Latimore plays, I think we talked about this. We don't know.

Starting point is 00:27:45 He's not here. Neighbors for me, baby. No bias, neighbors for me. Yeah, right now I have neighbors in, but that's like, you know, real life neighbors decision to me. But for the most part, I'm just starting, I'm starting to leak neighbors in this situation too. So yes, I'm starting to leak neighbors.

Starting point is 00:28:01 He's a top 15 wide receiver for me. All right, Tennessee's at Jacksonville. Do you trust any running back in this game? The Jaguars allow the second most fantasy points to running backs. The Titans have allowed seven rushing touchdowns to running backs in their last four games, three last week to Taylor. Do you trust any running backs in this Titans-Jags game? I'll trust Tony Pollard if he gets a full practice in. I'll trust Ty J Spears if Tony Pollard is out. I mean, just sit Pollard at this point. Can you make it easy for us, please?

Starting point is 00:28:29 Yeah. All right. So, but you would start Pollard like as a, is he ahead of- If he gets a full practice. Right now I've got them both ranked around RB 30. He's not gonna get a full practice. So he never gets a full practice.

Starting point is 00:28:40 He may not even practice. Breezell just had an out of nowhere full practice last week and just was fine. All right. So let's say he, just based on the trends and all likelihood that's not going to happen in my opinion. So let's just say like he doesn't practice or maybe gets in a limited and then he plays what happens every week.

Starting point is 00:28:57 Is Tony Pollard ahead of that Jerome Ford Breeze Hall group? No. He is for me. Okay. Miami's at Cleveland. Oh no, I'm sorry, not Reese Hall, but he's in that mix. Starting point is 00:29:14 in the Dolphins passing game? So really it's two receiving options because you know, while he plays, you're not trusting him even if he does. I mean, I think most people, again, it's like Cooper Cup and Garrett Wilson and some of these guys that have been struggling. You're starting Tyree Kill.

Starting point is 00:29:33 You know, he had two balls in his hands that, doesn't sound right. He had two passes that hit him in the hands in the game against the 49ers that could have been touchdowns. So. Yeah, Jamie, he sure did. All right.

Starting point is 00:29:47 Um, so good, good comment from the chat and, uh, worth looking at Tony Pollard earns $250,000 if he gets to 1100 rushing yards, he has 1017 right now. Wow. Tony Pollard earns $200,000 if he gets to seven rush touchdowns, he has five right now. Wow, could be a 500. So he's got a lot to play for her. I would say he does not want to just sit out.

Starting point is 00:30:18 Denver is at Cincinnati. All right, let's start. Let's go through the games. Now we'll break them down. So I had a stat of the game about Cortland Sutton. He had only six targets and a 15.4% target share last week, but that was very low for him. He usually has eight or more targets. He had eight or more targets in seven straight games before last week. So of the 14 wide receivers who have had seven or more

Starting point is 00:30:42 targets against the Bengals, all of them scored double digit PPR fantasy points. 10 of them scored have had seven or more targets against the Bengals, all of them scored double digit PPR fantasy points. 10 of them scored 15.8 or more. It's a great setup for Sutton as long as he gets those targets back. So my question for you for this Denver Cincinnati game is, are you taking the Broncos defense seriously? Do you think they're going to limit the Bengals in any way?

Starting point is 00:31:04 And honestly, it may not matter because you're not going to sit any of the Bengals in any way and honestly it may not matter because you're not gonna sit any any of the Bengals big four but do you think that the Bengals kind of do whatever they want or do you think it's you know maybe like 23 24 points or something like that so you you've you brought this up they didn't score a lot of points against Dallas right well they didn't score a lot of points against Dallas. Well, they didn't before that muffed punt thing. Then I think they had 20 points and then they scored another touchdown after that, I think. Yeah, in overtime.

Starting point is 00:31:34 Who? Cincinnati? The Jamar Chase touchdown. You got a late Jamar Chase touchdown to get bro to three touchdowns last week, right? In a game there. And those are against, you know we we would consider bad defenses or defense you could have points against I think you said the best no one's sitting these guys you didn't get to your championship game and you know Joe burrow I think what he just broke a record of most games in a row with 250 passing yards and three touchdowns he's been amazing and would be in the MVP conversation if their team was better, their defense was better. Jamar Chase is going to get the triple crown. You're not sitting him.

Starting point is 00:32:11 T Higgins has been relatively awesome the majority of the season. You're not sitting him. And Chase Brown is an absolute stud. You're not sitting him. So I think he just got to somewhat minimize expectations. So I don't know how you had it ranked, Heath. Jamar Chase was just kind of set and forget it number one in the receiver rankings. I put him at two, put Justin Jefferson ahead of him.

Starting point is 00:32:35 T Higgins was basically a borderline number one receiver. He's like 15 or 16, dropped him a few spots. Didn't move Chase Brown really at all. So I think it's just a matter of do these guys get what they typically get? Probably not. You know, one guy might get shut out. You know, you might get a Yosh, Yoshiba's touchdown. You might get a Gaseki touchdown.

Starting point is 00:32:52 You know, he might go someplace else because of the coverage, but these guys didn't get you here to sit them no matter who they're playing. They're just too good. And Adam, we had referenced the weather earlier. Kevin Roth does have an early week 17 report out. He got this game as a yellow orange. So rain is likely washout potential won't fully know until closer to kickoff. So he might want to watch that on Saturday, probably more for your Broncos than for your Bengals. Cause I agree with Jamie. You're not like the easiest thing we can do on this show

Starting point is 00:33:22 this week is just say, start your top four singles. Sure. Okay. I think I do think it's very cool to see a chase certain matchup. I'm almost positive they've never faced off. Chase is in the slot a decent amount over 30% of the time on average. So yeah, I mean, just just as a football fan, I'm really looking forward to that. This will keep this game simple here. But

Starting point is 00:33:52 start your bangles and then start Sutton. We'll save Knicks for last. We're not going to start a tight end in this game. And we're like, how do you compare? Who's your favorite Broncos running back and how does he compare to? I don't even like the waiver wire guys from last week. If McLaughlin is out, it would be Givante because estimate is just not going to be involved in the passing game. So assuming the weather is okay, and this game should turn into a hopeful track meet because of the Bengals defense mostly and really the Bengals offense, you know, so I think Williams could have a similar type of game to what he had last week. Now, as we talked about on the Waverwire show,

Starting point is 00:34:27 he hadn't really done that very often. So it's hard to say it's a guarantee because they've used Marvin Mims as a pass catcher out of the backfield. They've gone different directions with this. And Tyler Bade is up now, so he may have an opportunity to play as well. So it's really difficult to trust. But Givante has kind of been the, the, the constant in terms of playing time. And so will he get opportunities to make plays

Starting point is 00:34:51 against a defense that has now allowed eight running backs in its last six games to get 10.4 PPR points or more. So there's a, there's a chance for a decent floor. He had 12 PPR points last week. Williams did. So he'd be my favorite flex at best. Okay, so let's talk about Bo Nix is he's the start of the week, He had 12 PPR points last week. Williams did. So he'd be my favorite flex at best. Okay. So let's talk about Bo Nix is he's the start of the week, but he's 15th for Heath and he's seventh for Jamie. So I know you talked about him a little bit yesterday, Jamie, but, uh, hit me up. Bo Nix, you're, you're optimistic.

Starting point is 00:35:17 Obviously weather would change a lot here. So, you know, maybe a new start of the week by the time we get to Saturday, if in fact it's going to be that bad. But, um, I think just looking at at it the Bengals sixth and most fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks 22.6 points per game I know they've played better lately that was against DTR Mason Rudolph Cooper Rush, you know So they've they've done better against some of the crappy opponents Bonix has been good in this spot, you know three straight road games 20 or more fantasy points 25 or more fantasy points in three of his last five games and coming off a strong game

Starting point is 00:35:49 against a good chargers defense. So this bangles defense, I don't think is one to fear, you know, they're still down one of their better pass rushers and Sam Hubbard secondary has been a mess for the majority of the season. So I think next we'll make enough plays to be a top 10 quarterback. And I moved up to 14. So one, one spot higher. Um, it's really, it's not an anti Bo Nix thing. Um, I, I've got Richardson one spot higher. I think he has a little more upside. I love the matchup for Purdy against Detroit's banged up Detroit defense.

Starting point is 00:36:18 And Adam, you said you're making that decision against me. Against you. Um, I had my homes higher. Um, I've got Caleb Williams higher. Like it's just, there's a lot of guys right in that range. I like the upside more for most of those guys than I do for Knicks, but he's a borderline QB one. Okay. Last thing I'll leave you all with is, is I've identified, I would say six previous good matchups for Bo Knicks. One was Tampa Bay in week three, he scored 19.3 fantasy points, not great.

Starting point is 00:36:46 But 27.1 against the Raiders, 35.8 against Carolina, 17.7 at Baltimore, that wasn't good. 36.8 against Atlanta, 23.4 at Las Vegas, six point per passing touchdown leagues. So that's four big games in six good matchups. Sit the DSTs, right? That's four big games in six good matchups. Sit the DSTs, right? Yeah. Okay.

Starting point is 00:37:09 Let's go to our next game, another Saturday game. It is the Chargers at the Patriots. Heath, I think you're the high guy on Justin Herbert. You want to make the case? We did talk about him on yesterday's show, but thoughts on Justin Herbert. Yeah, as I have been all year long, really excited about Justin Herbert. I like the matchup against New England. I

Starting point is 00:37:31 would drop Herbert a little bit if Dobbins is back, but I don't really buy into Gus Edwards' good game last week. I don't think they're going to be great at rushing the football. I think this is a good matchup against New England, and he's just right in that mix again from Purdy down to Knicks or beyond of borderline QB ones. Like his chances to get you 20 fantasy points. Okay. And yeah, I think Jamie would would sign on. He likes his chances to get you 20 fantasy points, right? That's not not a huge stretch there, but he's got him 16th.

Starting point is 00:38:05 And so does Dave. We just talked about the running back. I'm hopeful. I'm hopeful they rush attempts last week were his ankles fine. And we're going to see him running like he was earlier in the year. Yeah, by the way, just, you just reminded me of something pretty interesting insight from JJ watt yesterday on TJ watt Who said he said that the thumb is actually a bigger issue for TJ watt than the foot So insider information there, I would say that was cool to find out. Uh, yes How would Jamie you just talked about both the broncos and the chargers running backs talked about the chargers when we were doing one question

Starting point is 00:38:42 For each game, uh, but if Dobbins does not play, would you start Javante or Gus? Gus. Even in full PPR? Yeah. Okay. All right, so these are not guys that I think are gonna be started in a lot of championship lineup. You hope not.

Starting point is 00:38:58 I'm facing Gus in one, but no, no Javante's in my matchups. I like a lot of receivers this week and so he's right in that range. So you know if it was a projections thing for me it would probably be just you know a decimal point or two. You know I like McConkey. I think he's number two receiver. You've heard me say this a lot when there's no teams on

Starting point is 00:39:33 a buy it's like 36 is the top 24. And when it comes to projections one of the reasons I think that he's not as good is it's basically been seven, six or seven targets in three of his last four games and the majority of the games this season. And you just have to be wildly efficient at six or seven targets to be a top 25 fantasy wide receiver. He's had some games certainly where he was wildly efficient, but that doesn't generally show up in the projections. I also don't think this is a high scoring game.

Starting point is 00:40:05 So that target number is probably not going to be very high, which is why I'm a little concerned about Herbert to be honest with you. So I think we could see just, you know, get your win and go home, which the chargers have shown us they're not afraid to just go do. Somebody should look up the last time Herbert went to Foxborough. I think it was one of these frigid, awful weather games. And it was just an awful, awful fantasy performance, but not just that, it's just for fun. But yeah.

Starting point is 00:40:31 Would anybody start Will Disley if he plays? Cause he was in the discussion once upon a time. I don't think so. You know, just coming back from injury, you know, they've used Stone Smart a little bit. They used, you know, Hayden Hearst is back now. So I believe both those guys, Smart was certainly not part of the game plan You know, they've they've used stone smart a little bit. They use, you know, Hayden Hearst is back now. So I believe both those guys smart was certainly not part of the game plan and Hearst was out when Disney started doing this

Starting point is 00:40:51 Okay, moving on. The last time Justin Herbert went to Foxboro and the only time he's ever been to Foxboro They won six to zero. That's right. He scored eight points 20 that was last year at December 3rd of 37, 212 yards and no touchdowns. All right. So on the Patriot side, is there anyone that you are excited about starting for the Patriots? Henry? It would have been Ramondre if he didn't fumble. I don't think I could ever get excited about starting Ramondre.

Starting point is 00:41:23 You know, he's kind of losing his third. You've been excited about starting Ramondre a lot of times in your life. What's that? You've been excited about starting Ramandre a lot of times in your life. In the past. But now it's never again, maybe. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like I don't in this current form of Ramandre.

Starting point is 00:41:36 But now I say I feel pretty yucky about him, Heath. I would still like at this point, I'd still start him over the Chargers. I'd still start him over the chargers. I'd still start him over the Broncos. Um, he's, he's in that. I don't have two good running backs range, so I'm going to start with Andre Stevenson. Oh, I have to start him over Ken Walker. Yeah.

Starting point is 00:41:59 If he's, if he's still the guy, you know, again, the wording is very tricky here because Gerard Mayo said he may not start or Antonio Gibson might start. That does not mean Stevenson does not play. Yeah. So it could be first drive is Gibson and Gibson has not been good when he's gotten a lot of work. It's not like he's been Zach Charbonneau

Starting point is 00:42:24 getting a lot of work and doing great things with it. So it could be, okay, you've been benched now, now get back in there. All right. And Hunter Henry is interesting because I know we're not going to start a Patriots receiver, wide receiver, but he is a top 12 guy. He's top 10 for you guys. But he does have a tough matchup. Any scenario where you see yourself getting away from Hunter Henry? Maybe for O'Conquist. I would not sit him for anybody

Starting point is 00:42:57 who is available on the waiver wire. I've got him one spot ahead of O'Conquist, but he's in the circle of trust for me. I was gonna see when was the last time he faced the, how do you do in his last revenge game? This is a revenge game. He's played them twice. He hasn't done well again.

Starting point is 00:43:12 The last time he faced them, it was six nothing, right? That's true, yeah. But he's also done it with the non Brady quarterbacks. Right. Right. All right. Uh oh, this is a bad one for Stafford. This could be a fluke, but it's pretty interesting. Matthew Stafford averages 28.1 pass attempts per game in wins and 38.8 in losses. And they are seven point favorites at home against the Cardinals. That's interesting for Stafford and for Cup for sure. Heath, what do you make it at? I mean, it's not just women. They've won their last four, but this is really a trend that's really kind of taken hold in the last month.

Starting point is 00:44:13 His last four games 1927 30 and 24 pass attempts. And half of them go to Pukinakua, which is why I'm really nervous about Cooper Cup. Um, I, I think Stafford is right, maybe at the end of that range of borderline QB ones. I was talking about, they've got them at 16 or something. Um, I did pick them up in one league where I have Jalen Hertz. Thanks Adam for not blocking that move. Oh, I tried. But yeah, it's, um, if, if, if you need a jail and urge replacement, he's probably the best one that

Starting point is 00:44:48 might be available, but I really don't want to start. Yeah, that was so funny because I looked at your lineup and I was like, he's either going to pick up Stafford or Rogers, but he also might block me from getting a DST I like. So I staggered my waiver claims in a way where I put in claims for both Rogers and Stafford and I didn't get either one, you got both. So I got both Stafford and Rogers, which will make that an agonizing decision if I have to make it.

Starting point is 00:45:12 Well, I'm winning five nothing on the back of Mixit and Fairbairn. So. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right.

Starting point is 00:45:21 So Kyler though, you know, Jamie's got Kyler 19th and Heath, the way you spoke about Kyler though, you know, Jamie's got Kyler 19th and he's the way you spoke about Kyler earlier. It didn't really feel like a guy that you have ranked six. It seemed like it didn't seem to get that much. Are you going to move him down? I think in the play, I was looking at the projections, not the rankings, but I mean, he's maybe closer to ninth.

Starting point is 00:45:39 But I still think that he has the ability to score 30 points at any time. And if they're going to be playing from behind against in this game against the Rams, I like his chances of scoring a late touchdown. I think he's a 22, 23 point quarterback this week. As I look at the rankings, I'm seeing a video from yesterday show and that sweater I'm wearing just just hideous. Jamie, you have like no faith in Kyler Murray. Do you have any faith in Marvin Harrison?

Starting point is 00:46:04 No, I don't. I don't like when Kyler Murray is in an unmotivated potential Mopi situation and he's got offensive line issues a week after he just got eliminated against a Rams team that is coming back home after playing in two miserable weather games that they have a chance to show you who they are in a spotlight game. playing in two miserable weather games that they have a chance to show you who they are in a spotlight game. And they are the best team in the NFC West and they are a legitimate playoff contender. And I think they're going to kick the bleep out of the Cardinals in this game.

Starting point is 00:46:34 So I don't think Kyler is going to have a good game. He certainly could do everything he said because he's got that ability. But I think he's going to be running for his life. I think he's going, which could be a good thing, but they got embarrassed by Marvin Harrison in the first game in week two. Stafford did not play well. That was the game where I believe Cup was injured because Pucco was injured in week one. So you have the receivers back. Yes, Stafford's numbers have been down in wins. Again, two of those games were in pretty crappy situations where they just decided,

Starting point is 00:47:06 okay, we can't throw in San Francisco and we don't need to throw against the Jets. I think this is a get right game for the passing game. So I totally agree that it's risky to trust Cooper Cup, but it would not surprise me if he does have a bounce back game. Pooka is going to get his numbers, he's great. So Stafford, I think does have an opportunity here

Starting point is 00:47:24 to have a big game. The thing that Jamie said thatooka is going to get his numbers. He's great. Uh, so Stafford, I think does have an opportunity here to have a big game. The thing that Jamie said that I hope is true is that Kyler Murray is running for his life. Cause when Kyler Murray is running, I feel good about starting them in fantasy. When Kyler Murray is not the two games before last week, he had a combined 27 rushing yards. If that's the Kyler Murray we get, it's going to be a really bad time. But I think he has five games this year where he scored 12 fantasy points with his legs alone. He's always got that possibility. I think that the worst thing for them is if they get behind early. I'm gonna read some chat questions about this game.

So yeah, you could say, okay, maybe it's who they played, but not 100% healthy, clearly. So I'd be a little concerned. We currently don't have him or Trey Benson ranked. So Connor would be a number two running back. Benson, if Connor was out and Benson was active would be a borderline number two running

Starting point is 00:50:42 back. If they're both out, Michael Carter's a good flex. All right. And that's the end of that chapter. You could start the Rams DST if you wish. They are seventh for Jamie, eighth for Dave, 16th for Heath. The Jets are at the Bills. So Aaron Rodgers is in that mix with Matthew Stafford and over under 20 fantasy points for Rodgers. Under, he's not that mixed for me, Stafford. He's not, I thought he's like- I've got it under. I thought they were separated by only a few spots.

Starting point is 00:51:17 For me? Five spots for you, nevermind. Okay, you have Stafford 13th, Rodgers 18th. My fault. I think I've got it 15 and 16 right now. Okay. Starting point is 00:52:46 week? I mean, he's basically a must start running back. So you got to you know, Charbonneau versus I'll give you again, real life scenario. I have Barkley, Cook, Chase Brown, and Charbonneau. I only play through them. Wait, who? Barkley, Cook, Chase Brown, Barkley, Cook, Chase Brown, and Charbonne.

Starting point is 00:53:07 I'm currently sitting Cook. Oh yeah. The Cook is out of the kitchen. I am playing Adam in the podcast league, Jamie, and I have Charbonne, Bucky, and James Cook. So I got to start Charbonne and Bucky over and get running back. And then a wide receiver. I've got AJ Brown, Brian Thomas and Mike Evans. I mean, it's, it's easy for you. If you want to get away from Brown with picket, then you just start cook. Yeah. You guys done? You can't take your headphones off. When you just said,

Starting point is 00:53:41 I looked at your team to see who I have to block. I only looked at the quarterback situation. That was a different league. That was a different league. I just want to watch the games, enjoy the games and not be like, oh no, I'm losing in fantasy. You know, I don't want that. Who wants that? All right. Khalil Shakir, horrible game. His first game all year with single digit PPR fantasy points when he played a normal snap share. He had a couple of games where there was like a blowout, there was an injury, something like that.

Starting point is 00:54:14 But when he has been on the field for his normal snap share, double digit PPR fantasy points every game except last week where he had two catches for 22 yards on six targets. He is 40th for, oh no, sorry, that's non-PPR. Okay, he's 27th for Heath, he's 33rd for Jamie. He's obviously better in full PPR. So we'll average it out, call him 30 or so. Khalil Shakir, but behind Garrett Wilson, right? Yeah.

Starting point is 00:54:39 Yeah, one spot behind Wilson for me, I think, is where he'll be right now. Oh, all right. In full PPR, not close in on. All right, we're just expecting like, you know, low double digits. 12. Yeah, 12-ish fantasy points, okay. Starters at Dolphin, Kinkade.

Starting point is 00:54:57 So the Jets have been really bad against tight ends lately, like awful against tight ends lately, which was a strength for them. I remember going into the Dolphins game, we thought, wow, they're really good against Ted ends and they didn't give up catch to John Smith until over time. Well, it's kind of since over time, they've fallen apart. Um, can K's got back to back games with seven targets, but he's been miserable.

Starting point is 00:55:14 So he had 11.1 PPR points in the first game against them. I think that's kind of the high, if you're going to expect an optimistic view of dog, what a bust. I don't understand how he doesn't like playing with Josh Allen, how he doesn't score more fantasy points, but in his last four games, he has 29 targets and 26.4 PPR fantasy points. That's no good.

Starting point is 00:57:02 All right. So here's your stat of the game. If you don't, you'll know if Brian Dable is coming back, if they win or lose. I don't, what do you want right now, Adam? What's that? What do you want between the GM head coach return? Like, do you want both back? Do you want one back?

Starting point is 00:57:36 Neighbors Tracy, Tyler Newbin, Drew Phillips, their third round cornerback is like the seventh bet, seventh highest rated cornerback in PFF. So, and who, Theo Johnson, it's good draft, but his others, other two have not been good. Anyway, I'd say keep Dable, but I don't care. If you can get Ben Johnson, go get him. Stat of the game. I don't care.

Starting point is 00:57:56 You just, I don't care. I don't care. You can't win. He's broken. Yeah, I am. Broken. Malik neighbors is averaging in his last nine games is when all the struggles started.

Starting point is 00:58:07 In his last nine games, he's averaging 33.4 yards per game in the first three quarters and 31.3 in the fourth quarter. So if you have Malik neighbors, just relax. He'll get it done in the fourth quarter when they're trailing by 30. I think the one thing with the Giants from a job perspective, it's not a bad job to step into knowing that you're going to get a quarterback because if the tackles are healthy, it's not

Starting point is 00:58:29 a bad offensive line to start with. The defensive line should be great. Everything changes when they beat the Eagles and they have like the sixth pick in the draft. You still may get Cam Ward there. I think Ward and Sanders are going to be like two of the top three picks. This is the way it goes. You know, they probably should. By the way, Prisco has a fantastic idea for the Raiders. Instead of trading up to go get a quarterback, Brady trades for his Michigan guy in Minnesota for McCarthy gives a first round pick to get McCarthy instead of multiple first to move up.

Starting point is 00:59:10 And then they signed Darnold and Darnold stays in Minnesota. Okay. I thought Brady just come out of retirement. I thought that's where we're going at that. So who would you start Anthony Richardson over? Rogers, Stafford. Yep. Yep. Um, Jamie Jamie was started over Kyler.

Starting point is 00:59:29 Heath would not. I would start him over next. Jamie would I would start him over to a to a great. All right. He's 10th for Jamie, 11th for Dave, 13th for Heath. He scored 22.2 or more fantasy points in six point leagues in three of his last five games and the other two games less than 15 fantasy points So hopefully I mean the Giants are an absolute joke right now. He just can't he's been since coming back from the benching

Starting point is 00:59:57 6.1 fantasy points with his rushing totals alone in every game I don't think he has a game between 15 and 22 fantasy points does he? No. Yeah. Every game has been above 22 or below 15. Right. The bad games he's missed the second touchdown. All right. So this is a tough one. Zach Charbonneau or Jonathan Taylor? Charbonneau. Charbonneau is easy in PPR. In non PPR, I mean, Taylor could have another 150 and two on the ground. And so whatever Charbonne makes up with his receptions will be tough to catch. So I've got Charbonne in half and fully.

Starting point is 01:00:37 In non, I agree. I'd go with Taylor. Would you start Josh Downs over Khalil Shaqir? No. I would not. Would you start Josh down? That awful. Is the weather supposed to be bad for the Giants game too? Rainy, I believe, but I don't think.

Starting point is 01:01:12 The way the Giants defended the middle of the field last week was bad, but you do have to worry about 15 pass attempts or something like that from right from Richardson. All right. So downs is like a number three receiver. Yeah, yeah, number three, four wide. Yeah, I'd say he's like a number four wide receiver based on your rankings. Sid Drew Lock, all right, we'll get to Tracy in a minute. You guys are starting Malik Neighbors.

Starting point is 01:01:35 We talked about him earlier. Who would you start? Malik Neighbors or Tyrone Tracy? Who's a better reflex? I think Neighbors just with Tracy's injury concern right now but they're very similar. Non-PPR Tracy. I'd go Tracy and non and half I'd go neighbors in full but they're both starts for me. Running back stinks this week huh? It really does. Because I wouldn't really want to consider Tyrone Tracy a start. I mean, he just score. He

Starting point is 01:02:12 does have to score. But you know, you look at the targets with drew lock, that's kind of something I think you could somewhat hang your hat on and say that's going to be consistent. I agree with you. I mean, it's a I have I, I have him in, in three, or maybe it's one is a consolation game for four matchups, one's consolation game, three finals. Um, one just stuck having to start Abdullah and, uh, and Tracy. And it's like, I'm happy that I get those guys at least. I think, I think with the targets, I feel pretty good about him as

Starting point is 01:02:44 number two running back, um, 18 feel pretty good about him as number two running back 18 targets in his last three games, two of those games he scored double digit fantasy points without a touchdown. He scored 14 and 0.5 or more PPR fantasy points in four of his last six games. It's pretty impressive. It's just here are the Giants running back carries. Well, no, that's only in their blowouts. Maybe they won't get blown out.

Starting point is 01:03:07 Just keep it close. Seven and a half point underdogs at home. All right, so that's Tracy. And if Tracy's out, you would have Singletary ranked below where you currently have Tracy? Yeah, not by much, but yes. Okay, would you go with Singletary or a Raiders running back if Tracy were out?

Starting point is 01:03:27 Singletary. I'd probably go with the Raiders Okay. Yeah, like I can't do this I have Singletary on my bench and I have Ramandre in my starting lineup and I would start Singletary over a mandra if I knew on Saturday that Tracy were out. I don't know that we will so that's so I mean we will get this scenario a lot if he doesn't practice Friday what would you do I also have Taiji Spears so I might just sit Ramon Dre and hope for the best and then play Spears if if Tracy plays and I can't start Singletary but I would play it I mean I don't I think Spears could be horrible this week,

Starting point is 01:04:05 but you never know. Like I just don't have a lot of faith in Ramon D. Stevenson is bottom line. All right, Colts DST is top five. Second for Jamie, fifth for Heath, second for Dave. Tennessee is at Jacksonville. Your stat of the game, Chigo Conquo managers. I'm sure I gave this on Tuesday show,

Starting point is 01:04:21 but the Jaguars have allowed 70 yards or a touchdown to a tight end in seven of their last 10 games. That includes Colkomet, Brock Wright, Dalton Schultz, TJ Hockinson, et cetera. So Chigokanko is worth starting this week. How do you feel about, compare how you feel about Chigokanpon right now to how you

Starting point is 01:04:45 were feeling about Brenton Strange a week ago? Well, you have two game sample size for Chig as opposed to one game sample size for Strange. Obviously, he's been in the mix more so than Strange. Strange needed Evan Ingram's injury to elevate him to a starting role. So A, why has Chig not been doing this, even in two previous starts for Rudolph? Why did it take until now? I think it's a matter of offensive line issues for the Titans, ball out a little bit quicker for Rudolph. And they sort of unlock something, I think, in the second half of that Bengals game. So really, it was never a, oh, these targets are coming from Nick Westbrook or Kene. The targets have been relatively the same.

Starting point is 01:05:34 I could be off by a few. But for Ridley, they've been relatively constant. They had 12 targets against the Jaguars the first time around. So that's not really the best sample size. But in these two games, the targets haven't exactly been, Oh my God, Ridley's not getting anything. And Westbrook is not getting anything. And Tyler Boyd is not getting anything. You know, Jake's just getting targets on his own. You know, Rudolph, I think is just leaning on him. So matchup is good. Last two games, 21 targets, catch has been there. You know, the

Starting point is 01:05:59 touchdowns haven't been there. And Dave talked about this on Tuesday that the surprising thing to me, at least when he brought this up is the lack of explosive plays because he's one of the more explosive athletic tight ends in the league based on what he did at the combine. So there's a chance for him to be explosive. So I think he's one of these guys that's worth starting if you're stuck at the position. So the Kinkades, the Pits, the Komets, any of these guys that you've been rolling out there. the Komets, any of these guys that you know, you've been, you know, rolling out there, Hawkinson, you know, he's

Starting point is 01:06:25 better than him. It's it's worth trusting. And then you know, look, we've been talking about a lot of these crappy running backs, he might be a better flex than these guys too. And you know, you talk about the explosive plays. So so you said a lot of things you really hit the nail on the head because the last two games for Mason Rudolph Mason Robs air yards per pass attempt have been 5.4 yards and 6.3 yards. He's throwing very short and Chigokanko is the primary

Starting point is 01:06:52 beneficiary of that, I would say. And also there was a play in the game last week against the Colts, where he made a great move on a safety deep down the field and he's streaking wide open, Chig Okonkwo down the field. It could have been like a 60 yard touchdown. You don't see tight, like that was a really impressive play for a tight end. But as Mason Rudolph was throwing it,

Starting point is 01:07:16 he got hit as he threw and he, the ball like kind of fluttered for an incomplete pass. So they were going to take one shot with Okonkwo. It did not work, but it could have. But yeah, just a lot of really short area targets and he's been the guy, his ADOT's been very low. That's why you're not getting explosive plays. Like that's really tied to ADOT for a lot of players.

Starting point is 01:07:34 And, but he is getting a lot of catches. So it's two games in a row for Chig with 19 points last week, 14 PPR fantasy points the week before, and another good match up here. But do we have any interest in Brenton Strange? I mean, it wasn't just the one game for Brenton Strange. He was solid. He was like eight-ish PPR fantasy points

Starting point is 01:07:54 in three or four games without Ingram earlier in the year. So could he at least get back to that? Do we have a hope for him getting eight fantasy points or a realistic hope? Oh, I think we have a realistic hope that he could score eight fantasy points. Yes. No, that's exactly how excited you should be about Brendan Strange. He's a top 15 tight end for me. It wouldn't be surprising if he rebounded a little bit, but we've now seen what six games without Evan Ingram

Starting point is 01:08:25 and his targets have gone six, five, three, four, 12, four. It's pretty easy to spot the outlier. I'd expect he's gonna get five or six targets and you're gonna need to touch down for him to get double digit fancy points. Okay, so if you had to take a shot on one, we'll just fire through the rest of this game. Ready, here we go.

Starting point is 01:08:43 If you had to take a shot on one of these running backs or quarterbacks, quarterbacks, who would it be? Real Mason. If you had to take a shot on one of these running backs, who would it be? Pollard as long as he plays Spears, if he doesn't, how do you feel about ETN and Bigsby? I think they're both potential flexes. Bigsby scored against

Starting point is 01:09:03 them the last time and he's got four straight games with double digits and carries But he's touched on her bust and ETN prior to last week had started to get a little momentum with 11 PPR points in two Gays 11 plus PPR points at two straight games But then he just goes back to doing nothing. So there flexes Here's the tough question from the chat Tony Pollard or Deandre Swift Here's a tough question from the chat. Tony Pollard or Deandre Swift? Uh, I, um, if you don't have a, these are the only two running backs you have, you gotta play Swift. If you have Spears, if you have a Raiders running back, like I wait.

Starting point is 01:09:37 There's really no indication that that Pollard is going to miss the game. He never practices. He made it through last week, but you might need to play it safe, I guess. I mean, he's he's two touchdowns away or one touchdown away. Two touchdowns away from $200,000. 80 yards rushing 80 yards away from $250,000. So there is the potential of him still doing it in one game. I mean, the two touchdowns is tough, but he can he can maybe say, okay, I'm gonna sit this one out, be healthy, and then come back and try and do it next week.

Starting point is 01:10:08 Who's a better flex? A Jaguars running back or Calvin Ridley? I would say Ridley. I mean, they clearly made an effort to get him the ball the last time against Jacksonville. And there's big play potential here against this defense. So I would take Ridley. Yep, Ridley.

Starting point is 01:10:24 Ridley or Harrison? Ridley for me. Ridley, Ridley or Garrett Wilson. Wilson, Wilson, Brian Thomas, or AJ Brown. Thomas Thomas, I'm starting both against you in the podcast league. Oh, man. All right. That's it for that game. You're gonna start Parker Washington and Miami's at Cleveland. Alright, your stat of the game is just about the Dolphins very good run defense. However, they they do give up

Starting point is 01:10:55 some passing receiving production receiving production to running backs. So I don't know. I gave you the stat of the game before the show. What was it? Jerome Ford is one of three running backs since he entered the NFL with 40 with four rushes of 60 or more yards. Unbelievable. And the other two were say Kwan Barkley and Derek Henry. Yeah, it's unbelievable. Ten teams do not have a rush play of 60 or more yards since Jerome Ford into the league.

Starting point is 01:11:22 He has four of them. Good for him. Starter set. Number two running league. He has four of them. Good for him. Um, starter set. Number two, running back. He's a starter. Yeah. I mean, he's kind of like the, the end of the guys I feel comfortable with this week, 1920 range. You do feel comfortable with him? Yeah. You said it, the, the role in the passing him, I think is the biggest

Starting point is 01:11:43 thing they've given up 20 receptions to running backs in the last four games. So, this has been a spot where you can have some success. I think they're going to be chasing points. I think we'll see DTR under pressure throwing the ball to his backs. You know, Deontay Foreman's fumble at the goal line clearly cost him playing time. And if they get close to the end zone, I think he's going to be the one that they trust the most. So is it as good as it was last week? No, but still a potential to have a decent game. I don't think it's a safe game by any stretch, but like I said, tail end of the guys that I would say, okay, if I have him, I'm okay with it.

Starting point is 01:12:18 I don't want to have to start him clearly because it's just a bad environment altogether, but he at least has shown you something and the situation for the Browns at least might get a little bit better because of form and struggles. Would you start Jerome Ford or Tyreek Hill? I would go with Jerome Ford and that this game is another one and we're going to have to wait until Sunday morning and we're going to have a weather discussion, but we've mentioned Kevin Roth several times. He's got three Sunday games with an orange right now because of heavy rains. And it's the jets at Buffalo.

Starting point is 01:12:57 It's the dolphins at Cleveland. It's the Falcons at Washington. So this was one we'll be talking about on Sunday morning about how the weather looks, but I've got Tyree kill is a low end number two wide receiver right now. And Jamie's got him 14th. And you know, honestly, we're gonna talk about this game, because the quarterback think about how much Jerry Judy could change in the rankings, depending on

Starting point is 01:13:18 who's playing quarterback in this game. Both Thompson Robinson and Jamis Winston were listed as limited in practice. And we don't know who it's going to be. I think you know exactly what to do if Dorian Thompson Robinson is the quarterback. You cannot start as a wide receiver and you can start David Njoku if he plays. But then there's a scenario.

Starting point is 01:13:38 What if the joke who doesn't play? Then can we go back to Judy if DTR is the quarterback? I don't know. No, no, no. Okay. I was watching Hard Knocks last night, the most recent episodes aired earlier in the week. And it was, you know,

Starting point is 01:13:51 Jameis helping DTR get ready for the Bengals game. And he was like, we got a stud in Jerry Jouj, you just gotta feed him. And it was like, well, he didn't listen to that. Oh man, that's good advice. Okay. So in the Dolphins DST, I mean, if Jamis plays, would you still start the dolphins DST? Would you try to pivot? Pivot?

Starting point is 01:14:12 I mean, look, he's clearly been very good for opposing defenses. Yeah, but he could also be really bad. He's got the most wide, widest range of outcomes. Jamis. It's not, look, the dolphins are my number one defense this week. So they would not be number one. I picked up the dolphins. I picked up the colts in a lot of matchups going into week 16 with the hope of if I won, I'd be starting the Colts in week 17. And at least three of those, I also added the dolphins this week. So I'm carrying both just to keep the dolphins away from my opponent.

Starting point is 01:14:46 I will easily pivot to the Colts if Jamis starts, but if Jamis starts and I didn't pick up the Colts or I don't have a great DST, like there's still pick six potential across the board for Jamis as we know, or just interceptions across the board for him. I mean, he was turnover prone against the Chiefs before he got benched. Yeah. He had 12 interceptions, five fumbles and 24 sacks. It is eight starts.

Starting point is 01:15:12 Like even if he throws for 400 yards, he's probably still going to make the DST good. Yeah. Think about that Broncos game, how great he was for the Broncos defense, despite throwing for 400 yards. I have a question. If he, if Jamis Winston plays, would you start him or Tua? Oh man, with the weather being bad, him. Okay, and thankfully for Tua, it is not cold.

Starting point is 01:15:35 It is not going to be all that cold, but it could be very rainy. Start Achan, just gonna throw this out there. The Browns are actually very good against pass catching running backs and Achan doesn't usually have his huge receiving games when he faces these types of teams. So if you're facing Devon HN in your fantasy championship,

Starting point is 01:15:51 he might not have quite as many fantasy points as he usually does. Tua is a sit if you can, but he's not like a terrible option. He's in the Stafford range, I suppose. Little behind for Jamie, I think. Oh, behind Stafford for both of you. And, uh, that's it. Tyree kill. Yeah, we already talked about Tyree kill. Oh, is

Starting point is 01:16:10 David a joke? John is a start. Obviously David a joke. An easy start if he plays. Yep. Yeah. Little bit concerned with the multiple injuries, you know, saying he played through the hamstring injury and you know, they were proud of him for gutting it out. And then now the knee injury on top of it in rainy weather, like if you're him, why are you playing? Pride, Jamie, pride, hurricane pride. Yeah, don't get hurt and hurt yourself
