This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports.
What a play!
Can you believe this?
I know I can.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
This is going to go the distance.
Now, here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
Welcome to Fantasy Football Today, presented by BetMGM, the sportsbook born in Vegas.
We get started with week six, the joy of six.
Heath, right? LOL.
Oh, yeah, that was a book.
Yep, LOL, buddy.
How many times did you read that book?
I've never picked it up.
Me, read a book?
Come on now.
That's true.
We got a lot of injuries, man.
We got Nico Collins on IR.
We got Michael Pittman.
Oh, Jamie thinks that I can't use the Pittman sound effect.
We're going to have to figure out other players to use it for.
Dave thought maybe Trey Sermon or Romandre Stevenson.
We have to get a little creative here with who we're going to use that with.
But we will update you on that.
We have seven AFC home games to talk about today.
Washington's at Baltimore.
Believe it or not, the commanders on paper have a better defense than the Ravens.
Jacksonville at Chicago, which is not an AFC home game, but it's an AFC-ish game.
Buffalo at the Jets.
Colts at Titans.
Steelers at Raiders.
Chargers at Broncos.
Cleveland at Philadelphia.
That's another game we're throwing in there here just to get another AFC game in there.
All right.
Who is a player you love?
We're expecting Jamie shortly here.
Who's a player you love this week, Heath?
As of right now, I love Chase Brown.
He is a top 12 running back we are not expecting
zach moss he missed practice on wednesday dealing with an ankle injury uh brown has been one of the
most explosive running backs in the nfl averaging almost two more yards per carry than mosses and
should see a big increase in workload with Moss injured,
start Chase Brown.
And I'm probably starting Chase Brown
even if Zach Moss somehow comes back,
just as a low-end number two instead of a low-end number one.
Okay.
Do you love, by any chance, I don't think you do,
Tank Dell this week?
I don't.
I am considering
Tank Dell
but I'm not sure
that the opportunity is entirely the problem
it doesn't seem like he ever
got fully recovered from his injuries
he does not look like the same
player that was playing last year
we might love Stefan Diggs though
Diggs is an easy one to start
Nico Collins this week.
They're facing the Patriots.
Diggs will work out of the slot.
They'll both work out of the slot.
That's the good thing.
The Patriots get a lot of targets in the slot because Christian Gonzalez has been so good
on the outside that could work against Hank Dell as well.
We have you know what?
I'm going to try to find out.
I just meant to ask Schaefer before the show.
I'm going to send him a little message here while I do this.
Tell me who you're avoiding because i want to talk about our sunday
programming i know we have another game in europe so i want to see what we're doing on sunday
so uh while i do that tell me who you're avoiding this week i would like to avoid chris alabe even
with spencer rattler starting i know that we all said we'd rather see rattler than jay caner and i
completely agree with that i still don't think that he's going to be a particularly good option.
This has been one of the most run heavy offenses in the NFL with their
starting quarterback.
Now they're going to have a backup.
Olave hasn't even been the best wide receiver on his own team.
And now he's getting a significant downgrade in terms of a quarterback and
probably in terms of volume.
He is not a top 36 wide receiver for me.
Yeah, and how about Mike Evans?
You're not going to be on the show tomorrow,
but where do you have Mike Evans ranked
against New Orleans?
He has the worst history against Marshawn Lattimore.
It is honestly hard to believe.
What do you think about Evans this week?
Yeah.
He will be ranked as a wide receiver two.
So probably in the 20-ish range.
If I could get away from him, I would like to.
But I have a hard time going so far.
I don't want to start JS in over him.
I don't want to start.
I think I'm already Cooper's been awful.
Um, I don't really want to start George Pickens over him.
He's only playing half the game right now.
Um, well, that was the last week, but well, why would I expect it to change this week?
Wait, did you say digs?
Cause I would start, I think I'd start digs over Evan? Wait, did you say digs? Because I think I'd start digs over, Evan.
Yes, I would start digs over.
Okay.
All right.
We are going to be on the air Sunday morning at 9 a.m. Eastern,
live answering your questions, because we got that 9.30 a.m. game,
which is, is it London again?
It is in London, and it is Jacksonville at Chicago,
which is a really interesting game I'm looking forward to watching.
So we've got 8 a.m. me and Heath on FFT Express.
But then the live show, 9 to 10 a.m. on YouTube.com slash Fantasy Football Today, but also on CBS Sports HQ.
And then usually we do 1130 to 1 for our YouTube live stream.
We're going to do noon to 1.
So 9 to 10 and noon to 1 Eastern on Sunday.
Be there.
Ask your questions,
have them answered your best way, maybe to get your start, sit questions answered and get those
lineups set. We'll see you Sunday morning. Now, if you haven't signed up yet for bet MGM,
use the bonus code fantasy, and you're going to get up to a $1,500 first bet offer, uh,
on your first wager with bet MGM. Here's what you do.
You download the BetMGM app

Deposit at least $10 and place your first wager on any game
and you will receive up to $1,500 in bonus bets
if your bet loses.
Just make sure you use the bonus code FANTASY
when you sign up.
All right, let's get to some news and notes here.
Anthony Richardson did practice.
Are you ranking him? We are not ranking him yet. He practiced last week as well. We'd like to see him get a full practice in or at least hear a coach or him express optimism that he's going to
play. Yeah, actually, let's let instead of going position by position here, because there are so
many news items here. We have new quarterback for the saints for the patriots for the raiders but nico collins is on ir and michael pitman
sit man might join him on ir with a back injury have you made any roster moves have you picked
up alec pierce adonai mitchell anything like that that? No. I think Pierce, the way he has produced
fantasy points so far this season has been remarkable. Completely unsustainable. We hope
to see his volume go up. Mitchell, actually, the profile looks a little bit better for him in terms
of predicting future success, but he's been pretty awful on the
opportunities that he's had. I have no problem picking up either one of them. I wouldn't want
to start either one of them. They're not going to be top 48 guys for me, I don't think.
And you'd prefer Pierce or Mitchell? Because also Josh Downs mispracticed with a toe injury.
Pierce.
Okay. And that's another thing. So Downs missing practice. Guys miss practice on Wednesday all the time.
Sometimes they miss practice on Thursday.
They come back on Friday.
Josh Downs, I don't know anything about that injury really.
But it is something to keep an eye on here.
And obviously if it's Flacco, even though they're playing Tennessee,
that's a pretty big opportunity for those guys.
All right.
Drake May for New England.
Aiden O'Connell for the Raiders Will Levis is expected to start
he's expected to be okay for this game against the Colts Justin Fields expected to start as
Russell Wilson continues to make progress but not quite there yet and Spencer Rattler expected to
start so do you want to just I know the answer to this because you have Jacoby Myers pretty high. But in terms of
Las Vegas and
New England
and New Orleans,
do you want to just
take a hands-off approach?
New Orleans, yes. We've seen
Aiden O'Connell support
a viable fantasy wide receiver.
It was a pretty tough competition between Minshew and O'Connell.
And so I don't really think we're going to see an enormous drop off there.
I'm still starting Jacoby Myers.
I'm still starting Brock Bowers,
maybe a little bit of a downgrade for them when I update rankings after the
show, but not, not a significant one.
Bowers. Yeah. I forgot. That's, that's kind of an easy one, I guess.
The shirt. Hey, Jay I guess. The shirt!
You know what?
I looked at the shirt last night and I said,
you know what? I'm not going to let Jamie do this. I'm not going to let him have this impact on my life. I bought this shirt.
I'm going to wear this shirt. I'm going to wear it with pride.
I'm going to live long and prosper.
You should. Hello. Who's our
star of the week? I never told you not to wear
the shirt. No, but you really
made it hard for me to wear it.
I mean, I won't wear it outside of the house.
That's for sure.
Which I thank you for.
Well, I mean, you could.
There's like, you know, conventions.
Conventions.
I could.
I could.
Yeah.
Comic-Con.
Coming to New York again.
I don't know.
What do you got?
Who's our star of the week?
Star of the week is Tony Pollard.
You know, coming off a strong game week four,
sat out week five with a bye week.
He's been good three or four games, and the Colts stink.
You know, so there's a good opportunity for him
just to continue doing what he's doing.
And I also think Tajay Spears is a borderline starter as well,
just given how there's a quarterback concern right now.
You know, we don't know if Olevis is going to start.
And the last time we saw Mason Rudolph, it was a lot of handoffs.
It was 22 carries for Pollard.
It was 15 carries for for spears so if that's the offense would not be
surprising if we get another you know 15 plus ppr point game for pollard which he's done three or
four seasons you know if you're gonna click all the comments heath you could at least click the
one that says it's a nice shirt i'd wear it i did i wasn't clicking all of the comments i was being
very selective in the comments I was clicking.
Well, that's true.
Yeah, I get it.
Captain Spork reporting for duty.
Someone wants to know,
Amanda wants to know, would you start Pollard
against the Colts over
Jacobs against the Cardinals?
Yeah, I would.
Pollard's had a better season.
Why not? Yeah, I've got Pollard as a top 12 running back this week. I would. Pollard's had a better season. Why not?
Yeah, I've got Pollard as a top 12 running back this week.
I would.
Okay.
Let's go Tony Pollard.
More news items.
Derek Carr could miss multiple weeks, by the way,
so it's not just one we expected, I think, at this point,
to miss multiple weeks.
Running back news.
Again, guys mispracticed on Wednesday.
James Cook mispracticed with foot and toe injuries.
Samir White did not practice.
They get Pittsburgh.
Jonathan Taylor and Trey Sermon mispracticed.
Okay.
We'll discuss those running back soon.
That's an interesting one, right?
Is it?
Well, I mean, if they're both out.
Against maybe one of the best run defenses, you know, Tyler Goodson.
Oof.
Alvin Kamara mispracticed with a hand injury.
We expect him to be okay.
Cordero Patterson's going to be out, but Jalen Warren was actually limited.
They said he was doubtful, but Jalen Warren got in a limited session on Wednesday.
Ramondre Steele.
Did you see what he said?
No.
He said if it's up to him, he'll play.
All right.
So he said he was surprised by the doubtful designation.
He felt good.
He looked good in the videos I saw.
So, you know, you just wonder if they're going to be cautious with him
if he does play or they're just going to let him go.
And clearly this is – it's been three weeks now of Najee Harris
having the best setup you could ask for.
I mean, matchup after matchup has been good.
No competition.
You know, just in terms of significant players on the roster.
They've had to bring up guys off the practice squad.
So, like, if Jalen Warren is healthy and comes in, like, he could take the job and run away with it.
Oh, Najee Harris has been horrible.
3.3 yards per carry.
And he's facing the Raiders, who have allowed 15.5 or more ppr fantasy points to
a running back in every single game this year and yet i'm sure we don't have a ton of confidence in
naji harris because as you mentioned last or last week or he had a game against the colts where he
had 13 carries for 19 yards against the colts that's horrible colts bad cowboys bad when the
cowboys couldn't stop the run both Both those games, no Jalen Warren.
You couldn't ask for a better situation.
All right, so that's why we had Warren on our waiver wire show.
More running back news.
Zach Moss mispracticed.
Andre Stevenson mispracticed with a calf issue.
Never like calf issues.
Damian Pierce was limited.
Joe Mixon mispracticed, but Damian Pierce got in a limited session.
And they actually said that they, I think, expected him to play.
Damian Pierce?
Yeah.
Is he your favorite Texans running back?
I do not think I...
It'd be like, which is my favorite Star Trek shirt?
I would say Ogumbawale should still be the one you're looking at
because I would assume his role in the passing game
is probably going to be consistent.
The 15 carries that he got, either does that go away or does the nine carries that Kim Akers got, does that go away? It's probably going to be a messy situation except for
Ogumbu Ali playing on pass notes. They're at New England. Gus Edwards missed practice coming off
the bye. Nick Chubb was limited in practice and has not been ruled out.
Nick Chubb might play this week at Philadelphia.
And Brian Robinson Jr. mispracticed.
He didn't play, I think, in the entire second half last week.
Brian Robinson Jr., they were blowing out Cleveland.
But he came into that game with a knee issue, and he mispracticed yesterday.
So, you know, if you're desperate, Jeremy McNichols might be someone you want to pick up.
And Austin Eckler could see a boost um go back to nick chubb for a second just because uh
and he correct me if i'm if i'm saying something wrong here but we do our show on wednesdays with
a robert turbin former nfl running back and i asked him what he thought of chubb when he returned
and i'll just reiterate something i said yesterday robert was all in on derrick henry he was all in on saquon barkley so he knows the position i think
fairly well he said he expects him to still be nick chubb he said there is his words were there
are uh unicorns that come along in this nfl in the nfl and he's a unicorn. And don't expect him to struggle.
Yeah, not just that, but the part that kind of shocked me was he didn't really expect much of a ramp-up period.
He said when he's back, he's going to be Nick Chubb.
Yep.
Nice.
All right, we've got to take a break,
and we'll get to the wide receiver news
when we come back on Fantasy Football Today.
We will be right back.

Data sourced from the ORCGA 2023 Dirt Report.
All right, welcome back.
By the way, that was J.J. Watt.
J.J. Watt.
I remember I said his name yesterday.
Devontae Adams is expected to miss this week's game against Pittsburgh.
We already said Michael Pittman's going to be out multiple weeks with a
back injury. That's twice on
this show, Jamie. You can't stop
me. And Josh Downs mispracticed with a
toe injury. Malik Neighbors is
improving, but he's still in the concussion protocol,
so it's a long time, but he's
still not a guarantee to play this week, Malik Neighbors.
Nico Collins on IR.
Khalil Shakir mispracticed.
Christian Watson practiced.
So just as I was dropping Christian Watson, here he comes.
He practiced yesterday.
Speaking of that, Jamie, I'd just like for the record on the show to say,
like, I did what I said I was going to do Sunday night.
I went into our league.
I made a $79 bid on Caleb Williams where Adam dropped him.
I went and looked Wednesday morning to see if we got him.
And somebody else got him for $50 because Adam changed my bid to $18.
So if Caleb Williams is a top 12 quarterback for the rest of the season,
I'd just like for the record twice now.
We have Dalton.
We're fine. Yeah. Hold on. Let me
let me just tell Dan we're changing the start of the week to Caleb Williams every week for the rest
of the week. Could be could be this week. Jacoby Myers mispractice and but we expect him to play
and Trey Palmer. So Tampa Bay wide receiver news could relate could be important for Kate Otten.
Trey Palmer still in the concussion protocol.
Jalen McMillan and Cameron Johnson, though, they were limited.
Tight end news, Luke Musgrave practiced.
Luke Musgrave was actually active in week five but didn't play a snap.
But maybe he can get out on the field this week.
Mike Kosicki mispracticed with a hamstring injury.
And David Njoku mispracticed.
He hasn't been ruled out.
I don't know what's going on with David Njoku, but we'll keep an eye on him.
For his knee injury.
Yeah, yeah, but he was like he was supposed to practice,
then he didn't.
So it's a new injury.
He's waiting for Jameis.
I mean, he knows what's up.
Maybe.
For the offensive line,
both Chargers offensive tackles practice.
They've been playing without them.
Both of them practice.
They're at Denver coming off their bye.
Left tackle Tyler Guyton for the Cowboys
has a good chance to play this week.
Carolina right tackle Taylor Moten mispractice.
This is bad for Andy Dalton.
Right tackle Taylor Moten mispractice, and center Austin Corbett is out for the season.
On defense, Kayvon Thibodeau is week to week for the Giants.
Edge rusher.
He has a wrist injury.
He'll miss this week's game.
San Francisco, I think Charverius Ward might be a game time.
I don't know if you've seen anything on him.
They're a cornerback, but he is questionable.
A lot of injuries on the Seahawks defense.
And then Christian Wilkins.
I already said all this stuff.
Cincinnati is going to be without cornerback Dax Hill.
Deron Bland might.
Safety, safety, safety.
I saw him listed as a cornerback.
I believe he moved to safety this year.
Okay.
Deron Bland practiced in full for the Cowboys. That would he moved to safety this year. Okay. Deron Bland practiced
in full for the Cowboys.
That would be quite
a get for them.
He may not play this week.
They have a bye next week,
but he had, I think,
five pick sixes last year.
And Pittsburgh's defense
pretty beat up
at the Raiders.
Cleveland,
this is an interesting one
because they're at Philadelphia.
Not that you were going
to sit the Philly guys anyway,
but Grant Delpit's
in the concussion protocol.
Denzel Ward has a hamstring injury.
That's two starters in their secondary.
Bucks are getting a little bit healthier.
They're at New Orleans.
Jair Alexander might be able to play this week against the Cardinals.
That might not be good news for Marvin Harrison.
And bad news for the Chargers.
Edge Joey Bosa, off the bye week, was not able to practice on Wednesday.
One question for each game.
Washington is at Baltimore.
Is this a Zay Flowers game?
I think so.
I mean, you know, the thing that you got to be clearly concerned about
is Derrick Henry going nuts and Washington falling behind early.
But you got a five-game sample size.
Three of those games, he's got double-digit targets.
Two of those games, he's been awesome in those three outings.
So I'm going to start him with four teams on a bye
and injuries at wide receiver.
You got to be really loaded to sit him.
Would you start Zay Flowers or Brian Thomas Jr. in a tough matchup?
Thomas. Thomas. Flowers or Kirk Thomas Jr. in a tough matchup? Thomas.
Thomas.
Flowers or Kirk?
Flowers.
Yeah, Flowers.
Flowers or Tank Bigsby?
Flowers and PPR.
Do we have any practice designation for ETN?
No, I didn't see that, actually.
He didn't miss it all, right?
I'm surprised they didn't list him.
That's the thing.
Let's take a look.
Well, yesterday might have been a travel day for them.
He is not.
Oh, he's listed as limited.
So if, I mean, you'll know Sunday morning, right?
So if ETN is out, it's Bigsby all day.
Oh, yeah. I mean, if he's limited on Wednesday, I assume he's going to playN is out, it's Bigsby all day. Oh, yeah.
If he's limited on Wednesday,
I assume he's going to play.
All right, let's go to our next game.
Jacksonville at Chicago.
Can you trust the Jaguars offense?
Chicago allows the fewest fantasy points
to quarterbacks,
seventh fewest fantasy points
to wide receivers,
eighth fewest fantasy points
to tight ends.
Not good against running backs,
but they are splitting.
Can you trust the Jaguars offense, Heath?
I am going to trust Brian Thomas.
He's the only one I think that I have ranked as a guy that I want to start.
If ETN's out, I agree with Jamie.
Bigsby moves into that want-to-start range.
But if ETN's playing, then you're viewing them both as kind of borderline RB2s.
And Kirk is a low-end wide receiver
three. If I've
got Evan Ingram on my team, I'm probably starting him.
Buffalo is at the
Jets. Who are some quarterbacks you're
starting over Josh Allen this
week? No quarterback has scored more than 12
fantasy points against the Jets.
Granted, that's Purdy in week one,
Levis, Patriots,
Bo Nix, and Sam Darnold.
But, Jamie, who are some quarterbacks you're starting over Josh Allen this week?
Heath is probably the better one to ask because he has them the lowest.
So I think I have him sixth with just mostly the usual suspects that are ahead of him.
Heath?
Or Jaden Daniels, for example.
Yeah, Jaden Daniels, Jordan Love.
I would start Kirk Cousins.
I would start Dak.
And I do currently have Purdy just a little bit.
It's not just about the Jets.
Like, Josh Allen's averaging 180 passing yards a game.
Right.
Okay.
Colts are at the Titans.
Who are the top two wide receivers in this game?
Who's the quarterback
for the Colts?
I don't know.
I think it's going to be
Richardson.
I kind of feel that way too,
but I don't know.
I'll still say it's
Josh Downs and Calvin Ridley.
Yeah.
Josh, okay.
So you're expecting
Josh Downs to play.
Hopkins, you know,
I'll get to this game
later obviously, but Hopkins has not played more than right around 50%. Josh. Okay. So you're expecting Josh Downs to play Hopkins. You know, I'll get to this game later,
obviously,
but Hopkins has not played more than right around 50%.
It's not 50%,
but it's about 50% of the snaps,
but his per route data,
at least his target per route run rate is much better than,
than Ridley's.
It's amazing.
I think that's maybe because he just only plays when they're going to throw it
to him.
I don't know.
They're not wasting his snaps running,
running routes. Is this going to be the whole season for him or coming off the buy? Is he going to throw it to him. I don't know. They're not wasting his snaps running routes.
Is this going to be the whole season for him?
Coming off the bye, is he going to play a normal snap share?
Obviously, he had the injury going into the year,
but he's barely played.
I didn't get the impression that
the injury he had coming into the year was something
that was going to just heal itself quickly.
That was an MCL injury,
if I recall.
I would hope as time goes on, he gets healthier. I would hope as time goes on he gets healthier.
I would imagine the bye week was huge for him.
So whenever you're getting these guys in plus matchups,
and you've illustrated this a lot, Adam, in terms of Ridley,
when there's no shutdown corner on the other side,
that's the time you want to at least buy into him.
I mean, he's got one good game and three miserable ones,
and Hopkins has one good game and two miserable ones
because I believe he missed one.
So this is one of those weeks where I think Ridley is a safe number three receiver
and Hopkins is a borderline number three receiver,
but we also have the quarterback situation at play right now.
So I don't think this is a game where they're coming in,
throwing all over the place against the Colts.
It feels like they're going to run a lot,
just like they did against the Dolphins.
The Colts have allowed 78 yards or a touchdown
to eight wide receivers in five games.
So if you have Calvin Ridley and you're waiting to start him,
this would be the time to do it.
Next game.
Let's see, one question for what's next.
Pittsburgh at Las Vegas.
Oh, this isn't even a question.
This is a command.
Jacoby Myers rankings dispute.
You guys are far apart on Jacoby Myers.
Heath has him in PPR as wide receiver 13.
Jamie as wide receiver 37.
Go ahead, Heath.
We just saw nine targets last week against the Broncos
and scored 13 PBR fantasy points.
Has 28 targets over his last three games.
It's not a good matchup.
I don't think the quarterback downgrade is going to matter.
Maybe Aiden O'Connell will actually be better
than Gardner Minshew has been lately.
O'Connell is actually the one who threw him his only touchdown.
It's more of a situation with I want to see O'Connell in the full game
against the Steelers and how he looks before saying that Myers is a must-start guy.
I think he's a good third receiver in three receiver leagues.
There's no chance I would start him in two receiver leagues
until I see a little bit more consistency.
And the Steelers, look, for as bad as they've been the last couple weeks
in terms of their pressure getting to quarterbacks, because that's been a little
bit of a problem for them. They're still doing a great job against number one receivers for the
majority of the season. So, um, for me, he's a, he's a set Drake, London, 15 yards, uh,
Cortland Sutton, 26 yards. It's only the Colts guys, CD lamb, 62 yards and Jalen Tolbert. But
yeah, I mean, number one guys, I don't like like, Joey Porter did not shadow C.D. Lamb,
so I don't know that he's going to shadow,
he's not going to shadow Jacoby Myers.
But he'll see some Jacoby Myers, obviously.
Next up, we have the Chargers at the Broncos.
J.K. Dobbins or Javante Williams?
Javante.
No, I'm sorry.
I'm torn um dobbins so i i agree completely with jamie that i'm very very torn it goes back and forth um i
i would lean ever so slightly towards dobbins they're both number two running backs um low
end number twos.
And Cleveland at Philadelphia, I got two questions for this one
since it's the last game we'll cover, if you're short on time.
Can the Cleveland offense do anything against the Eagles?
It feels like there's always one of those games
where we're completely right off the team,
and they come out and they surprise you.
The Eagles' defense clearly is not good,
but the Browns' offensive line is just such a disaster.
And Watson's such a disaster.
Like you wonder if he gets off to a slow start, do they bench him for Winston?
And does that maybe change things?
But who are you trusting at this point, assuming Chubb does not play?
Like Amari Cooper's got every target in the world.
I know he had the holding call that negated a big touchdown two games ago he had the big game against giants but it's eight plus targets every
week and one good game i know it's horrible and jerry judy's been like an 11 point per game guy
ppr when he's been good like i'm gonna start i'm starting cooper in a couple leagues i'm starting
cooper in a couple three receiver leagues too but it leagues too, but there's no trust factor.
Yeah, I'm starting Ford in a couple of leagues.
I think, did Foreman mispractice yesterday?
That I'm not sure.
I believe so.
I don't really get that.
I mean, in the first quarter last week,
Jerome Ford had zero carries in Deontay Foreman.
Yeah, you're right.
He mispracticed with an ankle injury.
That would change things, I guess,
if it was just Jerome Ford and no Chubb, no Foreman.
But four carries in the first quarter for Foreman, none for Ford.
They ended up with nine carries each.
So that's just weird.
It's like every random, oh, I'm just going to play Deontay Foreman more this week.
We'll see.
All right.
And the other question.
I think if you're Kevin Stefanski, you're just searching for anything at this point like i'm with you i don't understand why i don't understand why foreman over ford but
they were talking a couple of weeks ago and i think gibbs made reference to this too that
there's been some talk that they think that ford tries to hit too many home runs
and they they'd like a guy to just take what the line's giving him, which obviously this line's giving you almost half a yard of play.
Just give me three yards.
That's what I want, three per carry.
All right, the other question for this game is,
what are you doing with Dallas Goddard?
The guy has been an absolute stud the last two weeks,
but we know part of the reason why.
And week one, he wasn't really great at all.
The only game he's played with A.J. Brown and Devontae Smith.
They're both expected to play this week. Heathath start or sit dallas goddard you
can't sit him like i everything you said is right and i think that there's a good chance that his
production is going to go back down because the wide receivers are healthy um and maybe
like maybe you had dallas goddard and Brock Bauer, so you can sit him.
But I'm not starting.
There's one other guy.
Tucker Kraft?
Tucker Kraft, yeah.
Okay.
I'd be okay with that.
But you wouldn't start Dalton Schultz, who had a pretty solid target share after Nico Collins left.
Okay. Yeah, I don't think you go that route yet, but this is not the scenario where you say, oh, I love Dallas Goddard.
This is the scenario where you say, I need to see it from Dallas Goddard.
I think even with these guys, he's still in the Pitts-Kincaid range.
Yes.
All right.
I just want to address something real quick here because a few people in the chat have asked how you guys in South Florida are doing with the storm.
So I just want to send our thoughts out to everyone affected by the storm.
Yeah, I was watching the news last night and obviously very sad.
And I just hope everyone's OK.
I have a friend in Orlando who said it was pretty terrifying last night, but thankfully he's OK.
I guess you guys kind of avoided.
I cannot believe I don't know how much you paid attention to it, Heath.
Like we were miles away from some of the most nasty tornadoes I've ever seen.
Yep.
Like we're in Boca Raton, which is, you know, South Palm Beach.
And in Central Palm Beach and North Palm Beach, the tornadoes were absolutely incredible.
And I hope everyone's okay.
It was terrifying to watch.
Like it was, I thought I was watching like clips of twister. Like that's how, that's how bad it was.
Like you saw two tornadoes, like next to each other, like they split and just these giant,
massive ones that, I mean, just horrifying to look. Yeah. So I agree, obviously. Um,
hopefully everyone's okay. And you know, let's, uh, let's, let's let the hurricane season end
quickly. Amen, man. All right. Washington's let's let the hurricane season end quickly.
Amen, man. All right. Washington's at Baltimore.
Let's talk a little football and get our minds off of that.
All right. Let's update the stat of the game. It didn't change much.
We just have to add one game because Washington is now allowed 75 yards or a touchdown to 36 wide receivers in their last 22 games.
And by the way, Amari Cooper just had the worst game of any wide receiver with double digit targets against the commanders since the start of the 2023 season. But the Browns could not
capitalize on that great matchup. Hopefully, Zay Flowers can. He just needs the targets,
and it's a little bit hard to predict. It hasn't really been a game script thing in terms of
when Lamar Jackson throws 18 passes and when he throws 35 passes, it really has it. Um, here's your new
stat of the game. No running back has rushed for more than 46 yards against the Ravens. Uh, but
Isaiah Pacheco is the only guy with more than 12 carries against the Ravens. So let's talk about
the, the commander's running backs here. Cause look, we're starting Derek Henry. We're starting
the quarterbacks in this game. And, um, you you know we'll get into the receivers but but brian robinson jr he's had a very easy
schedule actually and he's got this knee issue jamie starter said brian robinson jr if he plays
i have him in many lineups um many leagues and i'm starting him but it's a little bit with
hesitation and a little bit with the hope that he finds the end zone.
It's almost like you go back to the Tampa game and you hope for something like that.
Now, in that game, he had, I think, three catches,
but 12 for 40 and a touchdown against a really good run defense.
He was healthy at the time.
So, I mean, you got to have, I think, a pretty good situation
to bench someone of his caliber, but this knee injury is a problem.
You know, as we saw, I mean,
I mean, Nichols playing last week,
Eckler, when he's healthy, has an opportunity.
I do think that both backup running backs are very intriguing because this game gets
a little bit up and down and the Ravens are throwing,
you know, what Justice Hill can do.
And clearly Austin Eckler has been sort of steady Eddie,
you know, 10 plus PPR points in every game that he's played.
So you kind of get pretty decent flex performance there.
I almost a hundred total yards last week,
97 total yards,
60 plus yards rushing.
So for me,
Robinson is,
is a low end number two running back and Eckler is a flex.
Yeah.
You asked that JK Dobbins,
Javante Williams question.
And Robinson is right in the JK Dobbins,
Javante Williams cluster at running back,
just between 20 and 24 at the position.
But he needs to get some practices in.
Right.
So the injury is a big part of this.
It's not just the matchup.
I think the big question for this game is,
are the commanders going to keep up
with the Ravens, right?
The commanders have been clearly
one of the best surprises, best stories.
This is a big challenge for them. The total is 51 and a half. There's six and a half point
road underdogs here. And you guys have Jane Daniels as a top four quarterback. So you're
obviously believing in him. And quite honestly, the Ravens defense, it just hasn't been very good.
They're giving up the most big pass plays in the NFL. They are second in,
uh,
well,
they've been really good against the run,
right?
You're just terrible against the pass and good against the run.
They're 26 and points allowed.
They're,
they're 21st in yards per play.
They've given up more points than the Washington commanders.
You think the commander's defense is so bad.
The Ravens have given up more points than them.
Um,
so anyway,
uh,
uh, they, Oh, how about this? Washington has allowed
11 completions of 20 or more yards.
Baltimore's allowed
23. Washington's allowed
four completions of 20 or more air yards.
Baltimore's allowed 12,
most of the football.
Yes, but
Baltimore's played
Joe Burrow and Josh Allen and Dak Prescott and Patrick Mahomes and the Raiders.
Yeah, Patrick Mahomes doesn't throw the ball deep.
Josh Allen has had nobody, but they have had a tougher schedule.
Anyway, do you think the commanders put up a lot of points and keep up in this game?
It feels like this could be a lot of garbage time.
This is a big spot for Jaden Daniels.
Yeah.
I'm wondering if they're going to get a little bit of reality check,
but I would think there's a reality check coming early in this game.
I mean,
look,
you know,
the,
the Ravens lost a lot defensively.
That's a big part of this.
They lost their defense coordinator.
And so are they going to throw some things at day and Daniels to make him uncomfortable? No one's made him uncomfortable yet. You know,
and that's been the thing about this. Uh, he's had a lot of easy throws. His RPO game is on fire
right now. You know, he's just doing some incredible things for a rookie quarterback.
Clearly he's efficient. So do they take away Terry McLaurin and make him go other places?
Not that McLaurin has been a huge target guy,
but I do think that we could see a little bit of a sluggish start for the
commanders.
And then things start going,
get clicking for him in the second half as he starts to figure things out
because he's that good.
What does it mean for McLaurin Heath?
I mean,
it sounds like it's a great matchup for him.
They're not going to have a hard time running the ball.
They're probably going to be playing from behind.
There should be a decent target volume,
and the Ravens are giving up a bunch of big plays.
I think you view him as a low-end number two wide receiver.
If there's a good matchup for him, this should be it.
Yeah, he's on fire lately.
100 yards and a touchdown, 52 yards and a touchdown,
112 yards and a fumble.
So, McLaurin or Flowers?
I would go Flowers and PPR just because I think he'll have more catches.
But McLaurin and none and half, more touchdown opportunity.
Yeah.
Start or sit, any interest in Zach Ertz?
Got eight targets last week.
Ravens stink against tight ends so far.
They do stink against tight ends.
He had eight targets like the Amari Cooper game.
Here's a lot of targets, but you're not going to do much with it.
So I think he's in the I'm stuck at tight end conversation.
Like, you know, if you don't have Kelsey, you're looking for a buy replacement, people dropping Zach Ertz.
You know, he was around 50% rostered.
So not a bad plug and play in PPR, but the upside is just so limited.
Like at this point, I'd like to see a little bit more of Benson in it,
just to see what he can offer.
And hopefully he takes over the position,
because I was hopeful that was going to be the case.
And this was around the time last year when the Cardinals decided
that they were going to make the switch to McBride, and it worked out well.
Well, because Ertz got hurt though, right?
I believe he requested a trade.
Right? It was a guy who got hurt and then came back requested trade i don't remember anyway uh start henry we already
talked about justice hill and austin eckler austin eckler by the way 7.3 yards per carry
or something like that and um yeah 7.9 yards per carry, 13.7 yards per catch. He is actually not getting that many touches.
Six, 11, five, eight touches.
What did he have last week?
He doesn't get that many touches, but he is amazing with them,
which probably won't, can't keep up that efficiency.
We've talked a lot about Zay Flowers, and he is, you know, pretty fairly,
well, wait, Jamie, do you still have him 30th?
I'm sorry.
Or did you move him?
Flowers?
No, he's in the top 20.
Okay.
Maybe I just had a typo there on that one.
Yeah.
Okay.
He's top 18 for everybody.
He's a Flowers.
All right.
Let's talk about Charlie Kohler.
Start or sit?
Oh, the other tight end.
Would you start a Ravens tight end in this game?
Likely if either one.
I needed a tight end this week in one league,
and my top priority was likely, and I missed him.
And so I settled for Zekerds.
So that's where we're at.
I'm assuming Kate Otten was not available.
Kate Otten was not available.
Mark Andrews was not available.
Charlie Kohler was not available.
Yeah, Charlie Kohler. No, that's a joke right it was a joke okay okay i hope you know what we saw from
andrews last week is the start of something but man it's tough to trust you know he's got two
games with over nine ppr points no touchdowns had the two game stretch where he didn't catch the
ball his routes we know haven't been there so So what are we asking from him at this point?
To just be involved.
How about to play? Can we get you
70% of the snaps or something and not 50?
Would you start Dalton Schultz
over the Ravens tight ends?
I have it
likely Schultz, Andrews.
And would you start the Ravens
DST this week? They really haven't been very good.
I would not unless you're banking on the rookie quarterback
turning into a rookie quarterback.
But Jay Daniels has been good.
He doesn't turn the ball over.
They don't give up sacks.
The Ravens aren't getting sacks.
They give up a lot of points to good quarterbacks.
Heath gave you the list of guys that they played,
so I don't know if you're putting Jay Daniels in that conversation yet.
I think a lot of people would.
So for me, I would sit the Ravens.
Heath, the joy of sacks.
The joy of sacks.
That's a good one.
Thank you. Alright, let's take a break. We'll come back
and talk about the Bills and the Jets
after this on FFT.
Big game on Monday night
and stat of the game for Buffalo
at the Jets is the Bills have
held Marvin
Harrison,
both Miami wide receivers,
Brian Thomas,
Jr.
Zay flowers and tank Dell with Nico Collins getting hurt to fewer than 50
yards and no touchdowns.
Three of those receivers had fewer than 25 yards.
Nico Collins that have that big catch,
but so far they've been pretty good against wide receivers.
So Heath Cummings,
is this a good week for Garrett Wilson?
Well,
so far it's been a good week because the Jets haven't traded for Devontae Adams yet,
so he's still alive.
I think it's a bad matchup, and you're going to feel kind of gross about it,
but I'm still probably starting Garrett Wilson.
So what would Nico Collins have done in that game if he stayed healthy?
A lot, but he would have probably done things that Garrett Wilson doesn't.
I'm not disagreeing.
He doesn't go deep.
It's pissing me off.
He's just like a short area, which isn't so bad against the Bills, actually.
I like that against the Bills.
Not disagreeing.
I think the only reason I bring that up is because Buffalo is really beat up defensively.
You know, losing Von Miller, no Ed Oliver, most likely mispractice again.
The secondaries played great, but getting
to the quarterback could be a little bit of an issue, not necessarily against this offensive
line, but for the most part in general. And so I think just in terms of Garrett Wilson,
is he going to return value based on where he was drafted, like in terms of starting in this week?
Probably not. But as a number two receiver, I think it's where it's still starting. ADOT for Wilson in three seasons, 10.5, 10.2, 8.5 this year.
Look, there's some receivers that are very successful with that kind of ADOT.
It's not really happening for Garrett Wilson,
but he does lead the NFL in targets.
It's also the new coach boost.
You always get that first game where the new coach has an input.
Coach Brick, as they call him, apparently.
All right.
You're sitting Aaron Rodgers?
Yeah.
Okay.
Coach Rodgers, yeah.
You know what?
I've got to say something.
It is very possible that they fired Robert Sala without him.
And there's, you know, ESPN said that that is the case,
that he didn't have input on this.
Obviously, he said it, and he's, you know, ESPN said that that is the case, that he didn't have input on this. Obviously, he said it and he's, you know, immunized from lying.
Now, he obviously I don't necessarily trust Aaron Rodgers, but I am not going to be one of the people who's like, oh, he definitely got Robert Sala fired.
I'm just I don't think it's fair.
So definitely got him fired, I think, is a different question than didn't know beforehand.
I don't know either, but I don't think that necessarily Aaron Rodgers was like, fire Robert Sala.
Let's just go through the conspiracy theory quickly.
You have report that coach, head coach, wants to fire offense coordinator.
I know everything you're going to say, and I get it.
I just like, it may not have happened where Aaron Rodgers.
I mean, look, I don't think Woody Johnson, the owner or ambassador Johnson,
as he was called in the statement.
Oh God.
I don't think he said, Aaron, Hey, I'm thinking about firing Robert Sala.
What do you think?
Like, I don't think that happened.
I think it was was he told Aaron,
we're going to make a change at head coach,
and Aaron said, okay, and hung up the phone.
We don't know that.
You have no idea.
Obviously, we don't know.
The reason I think Nathaniel Hackett is around is twofold.
One, he does exactly what Aaron Rodgers wants him to do.
And two, when this offense stinks,
which it stinks right now,
it's easy for Rodgers to say,
that's not my fault.
I'm not the offense coordinator.
Again, I mean, maybe, but...
All right, I shouldn't have gotten off on this tangent.
I'm sorry.
So Sid Rodgers, start...
Brees Hall, Braylon Allen.
What are we thinking here?
You're starting Brees Hall. If Brees Hall doesn't have a good game this week,
it's panic alarms.
They allow the most fantasy points to running backs
and the most receiving yards
and 4.7 yards per carry to running backs.
So it's a big week for Bijan
and it's a big week for Brees Hall.
They have great matchups.
Start them.
Braylon Allen, like,
it is a week of four buys and some injuries. Is Braylon Allen like it is a week of four buys and some injuries
is Braylon Allen
like in the
Bucky Irving
discussion
behind him
but yes
he's in that discussion
yeah
okay
and then
are you starting
Tyler Conklin
any interest in him
he had
nine targets
he has six or more targets
in three straight games
rewind what he said about the start of Garrett
Wilson. Who's not there yet?
Devontae Adams.
Yeah. So until Adams shows up,
if he shows up, I think
you start Conklin, you start Lazard, you start
Wilson in their tiers, you know, based
on how you need them. Yeah. So Conklin,
low-end starting tight end ahead of Mark Andrews, for example,
in PPR. Wilson, number
two receiver for now. And Lazard, for example, in PPR. Wilson, number two receiver for now.
And Lazard, dart throw, number three receiver.
In the league where I had to pick up Zach Ertz,
Kyler Conklin was also not available, but I would have preferred him to Ertz.
There you go.
And what about Lazard or Tank Dell?
I would bank on upside here.
So I would take the chance with Dell i think i have lazard like i
definitely have lazard projected higher i currently have lazard ranked higher i would much rather
start tank dell i'm not sure who's actually running better right now all right and then
we'll go to the bills here and we'll talk about Josh Allen.
I see him as eighth for you, Jamie.
Are you moving him up from there?
Then maybe I drop him down to eighth.
I mean, it's tough to trust him.
Eighth for you, tenth for Heath, and eighth for Dave.
So that means Lamar Jackson, Jaden Daniels, Joe Burrow, Dak Prescott, Jalen Hurts,
Baker Mayfield for Heath, not for Jamie,
Jordan Love for both of you, and Kirk Cousins for both of you,
ahead of Josh Allen.
Would that change if Khalil Shakir plays?
Yes.
I could see getting him ahead of Purdy,
who I think is the last guy I have ranked ahead of him.
Probably not moving him up much more than that.
I almost, I'll just say it.
I'm not going to rank it this way,
but in the projections, I do have Daniel Jones ahead of him.
I mean, you should.
Daniel Jones is amazing.
I mean, last three weeks, he's been a lot better.
Any Buffalo wide receivers?
Only Shakira, if he plays,
would be a number three receiver.
Okay.
And Dalton Kincaid.
They need to do some different things
with Keon Coleman.
Like, just goal routes
is not working.
Yeah, well, he can't separate.
I mean, he couldn't really.
I don't know.
I shouldn't say that.
I haven't really been watching the tape,
but that was kind of.
No, I think that's accurate.
The word on him,
it wasn't really a big Coleman guy, but that was kind of... No, I think that's accurate. The word on him wasn't really a big
Coleman guy, but it's a young
career. I'm not closing the door,
obviously. Dalton Kincaid
or Dallas Goddard?
Goddard.
Really?
Interesting.
I know, I know, I know, I know.
There's nobody. I struggle
with Dalton Kincaid versus Isaiah Likely
or Cole Komet or Tyler Conklin.
I just, oh, I just feel like it's got to be coming
for Dalton Kincaid.
It does, and he's among the league leaders in drops,
unfortunately.
Yes, he had two last week, yes.
Yeah, so he's got to catch the ball.
They have to do a better job of scheming him open.
He just has not been very good yet as a player.
Yeah, no, you're not wrong.
It's hard to make the case.
It's very similar to who we were just talking about.
Like Najee Harris.
Opportunity's there, and he's just not taking advantage of it.
Which DST do you like better?
The one facing Aaron Rodgers.
I actually think I have the Jets higher, but they're back-to-back.
Start them both.
Okay, but you could start...
Would you start the Eagles over them?
Definitely. Yes.
Eagles, Steelers are the teams
that I would start over them.
I would start the Falcons and the Bucs over them
this week. Both these teams. Falcons and Bucs. Yeah, okay. We do have some new quarterbacks here. And the Tex start over them. Colts... I would start the Falcons and the Bucs over them this week. Both these teams.
Falcons and Bucs.
Oh, yeah? Okay.
Right, we do have some new quarterbacks here.
And the Texans over them?
Texans are my number one defense, yes.
All right, let's go to the Colts at Tennessee.
And I already gave the stat of the game.
The Colts have allowed 78 yards
or a touchdown to eight wide receivers
in five games.
And outside wide receivers
have really owned them.
So I'm having to think about my one
league where I'm starting Calvin Ridley and tank Dell, and I probably could get half PPR league
anywhere from eight to 40 fantasy points from those guys. So we'll see. Um, Tennessee's defense
has been terrific. They're second in yards per play. They have not faced great competition so far. They will not face great competition in week six.
Is there anyone that you really like on the Colts this week?
Taylor, if he plays, just because it's Taylor.
Otherwise, no.
I mean, I feel like with the Pittman injury, they're better off, even if this was a decision.
No, they haven't said that.
But this feels like it's a better scenario for Richardson than it is for Flacco.
For him to sit back there and try and pick apart this secondary with that offensive line,
they did get Ryan Kelly back at practice, which is good against this defense. It feels like this is just
a game. Let Richardson go
do his thing, and hopefully
he does.
I'm probably going to start Trey Sermon
if Taylor's out and Sermon plays.
Which is probably
the most realistic scenario right now
if I had to guess.
Trey Sermon and Tyler
Goodson, they split third down work evenly.
Sermon was in on three plays near the goal line. Did not do well there. Goodson was in on one play
that I think was a fourth down and Sermon 10 carries for 38 yards and a touchdown six catches
though at Jacksonville that can't be ignored. And that was with Joe Flacco, Tennessee. They are so
good against the run. Um, and, uh, they've, they've, I think they've given up three receiving touchdowns to running backs.
So that's, I guess, on the table.
All right, so if Taylor's out and Sermon plays,
would you start Trey Sermon or a Giants running back
since it looks like Singletary's going to play?
Singletary.
I would go Sermon over Singletary.
Trey Sermon or Tank Bigsby against the Bears?
Both Jags running backs over Sermon.
Assuming UTN's playing, I would start Sermon.
Tank Dell or Sermon?
Sermon.
Dell and PPR.
All right.
And then Josh Downs in half PPR or Sermon? Sermon. Dell and PPR. All right. And then Josh Downs in half PPR or Sermon?
If Richardson plays.
Both scenarios.
I'm going to go with Downs.
Downs.
I hate this.
All right.
Because I hate the – if this guy plays that guy,
there's so much of that in this game.
There's so much of that in this league.
Yeah, this game, though game though in particular i think but how much
how many spots in the rankings would josh downs move flacco versus richardson
uh just given the matchup probably not as much you think because tennessee is clearly very good
against opposing receivers as dave pointed out earlier this week they haven't exactly
played the gauntlet of quarterbacks. So take that into consideration.
But they are rested.
They're coming off their bye week.
It was really weird.
I always find this funny when teams come off their bye week and then they give the veterans Wednesday rest days.
Like Justin Simmons and DeAndre Hopkins didn't practice on Wednesday.
And the designation was rest.
Like, you're not rested.
So Downs, to me, is still just a number three receiver.
He's a really high-end number three or borderline number two for me with Flacco,
and he's closer to 30 with Richardson.
On the other side of the ball, would you, well, first of all,
would you give any thoughts of starting Will Levis against this terrible Colts defense?
I would not.
Okay, maybe a little DFS.
I don't even know if it's contrarian, though.
That's the problem.
You're not going to be the only one thinking,
oh, Will Levis might have a good game.
Tennessee running backs.
We love Tony Pollard.
He's our star of the week.
What about Spears?
Would you start Spears or Sermon?
I would still start Sermon,
assuming, again, he's the guy there.
But I am very interested in Spears just because this run defense has been so
bad. And I think that's how you make things easy on Levis.
And they did it definitely with the dolphins game for Rudolph.
Granted he came in the middle of that game or early in that game.
But this is now, you know, Spears has been two catches,
two games out of four with four catches back-to-back games with 10 plus PPR points.
Did score a touchdown against Miami.
Didn't run very well, but did get 15 carries.
So I think you're looking at probably, I would say, optimistically,
10 to 15 total touches for Spears.
And against this defense, that's a pretty good spot to be in.
And who's a better flex, Tajay Spears or Calvin Ridley?
Ridley, given the matchup.
I think I'll go Spears.
Hopkins or Alec Pierce?
Pierce.
Hopkins or Adonai Mitchell?
I guess it depends on the quarterback.
If it's Flacco, I'd take Pierce.
All right, fair.
Adonai Mitchell, maybe someone you want to stash.
And then Sid Oconquo.
Colts allow the second most fantasy points to tight ends,
but Sid Oconquo.
And would you start a DST in this game?
The Titans, if it's Richardson.
But you can't start him if it's Flacco.
It's just like a funny thing to say, you know?
Well, I mean, you know, Richardson is going to make some mistakes.
Yeah.
All right, let's go to Pittsburgh at Las Vegas.
Pittsburgh defense a little bit beat up here.
Stat of the game was another one I gave earlier.
A running back has scored 15.5 or more PPR fantasy points
in every game against the Raiders.
This is such a good matchup.
What about Najee Harris versus Tajay Spears?
Oh, Najee Harris versus Tajay Spears oh Najee yeah yeah I mean I guess if Jalen Warren's back then that changes maybe starters I was starting him over Spears starters at Justin Fields
is he even starting it's expected to from what I read. All right, let's say he starts.
I'm not starting him.
I'm hesitant just because I think if he struggles for whatever reason,
you're getting reports that I think it was pro football talk,
if I'm not mistaken, said they wouldn't be surprised if Wilson just flat out starts the game, which is weird.
I don't understand.
But the matchup's great.
He's top 10 fantasy quarterback.
It's hard to overlook that, what he's done from a total points perspective.
But there's the fear of, does he have one mistake?
And they decide to bench him.
So he's, I think, a desperation starter if you still need him.
Okay, Justin Fields.
Dave is higher on him. He has him 11th.
And he is per game 10th and 4.12th in six-point-per-passing touchdown leagues.
And he has scored 19.9 or more
fantasy points in three straight games in six-point-per-passing
touchdown leagues. And he averages 19.9
fantasy points per game, which is exactly
what he scored last week.
Yeah, I have this. The only
league, I think, where I have to make a decision on Fields
is one of my guillotine leagues.
And I'm terrified
because it's Geno Smith and
Fields. I'm going Smith.
Leading passing yards against a beat-up San Francisco
defense. The last couple weeks
it's been Fields.
Ben says, I think I'm going to switch to a Chiefs fan.
He looks like he has less anxiety than I do.
That's probably
true. Funny
story. We had a friend
who passed down some
hats or clothes or something to uh to one of their kids and he was wearing his chief's hat and he was
so excited about it and he said he had a viking shirt on his dad's vikings fan and he said i'm
gonna take this dumb viking shirt off when i get. I had to text the dad and apologize to him for changing his son's fandom.
Oh, yeah.
That is like that.
You cannot do that.
That is crossing the line.
You cannot influence another kid's fandom.
All right.
So Najee Harris.
If anybody has any Najee Harris questions, please, or anything from this game, hit me up in the chat, because I'm sure the matchup is so enticing,
but the production part of me has been so bad.
By the way, Najee Harris has the seventh most carries in football.
He has 82 carries, but he has zero touchdowns.
82 carries, no touchdowns.
Every running back with at least 56 carries
has had at least a touchdown, except for Najee.
All right, George Pickens, Jamie, start or sit?
Borderline starter.
I don't know what's going on there.
The attitude is clearly an issue.
I think Friar Muth came out and defended him yesterday.
Mike Tomlin basically defended him and said something we'll have to talk about,
but they clearly can't give up on him.
This is the team that needs to go get Devante Adams. If you're talking about just trying to
fix your receiving core for a contender that doesn't have significant issues, or I think has
significant issues as a receiving core, I guess Buffalo qualifies too. It's tough to say he's a must-start receiver, given the sample size.
Now, the caveat to all this is, does Russell Wilson either start or play?
Then you feel a lot better about Pickens.
But for now, I think just if you've been starting him, unless you have somebody better, you continue to start him.
Like, I have him at 24th.
I kind of took the cop-out ranking with borderline number two, three receiver.
So who's right around him?
I have to adjust my ranking, so I'll probably put in PPR downs ahead of him.
Right now he's behind him because I haven't removed Pittman yet.
Right around him.
Like I'd start Wanda over him.
Okay, yeah.
Zay Flowers, Terry McLaurin, those guys over Pickens?
Yep.
Yes. Yes.
Okay.
All right, moving on.
I think when I initially did my rankings, though,
I didn't realize it just made me laugh.
I had Pickens, Flowers back-to-back.
Oh, that is cute.
Okay, I did have a question here from the chat, actually.
Najee Harris or Devante Smith?
Non-PPR is interesting.
Or non-PPR.
Najee.
Najee, for sure, ifPR is interesting. Or non-PPR. Najee. Najee for sure if Warren is out.
If Warren is in, I might go Smith.
Pickens or Ridley?
Pickens.
Pickens.
Najee or Ramondre?
Ramondre.
It's so tough, like who's in, who's out,
because Ramondre is banged up right now.
So assuming both play, I would actually go Najee if Warren's up.
Okay.
Back to the game here.
Pat Fryermuth is a low-end starting tight end.
Fryermuth or the Ravens?
Fryermuth over the Ravens.
I have likely Fryermuth-Andrews.
Any interest in Alexander Madison this week?
He's a flex, but I would try to set him if you can.
Yeah, I mean, it's like a worse version of Najee, I guess,
but could catch him.
You know, Jamie, you were kind of right about your fear
that Madison would lose the third down roll
and that Abdullah would take that.
He didn't completely lose it, but it's pretty much,
I mean, they split it basically down the middle. So that was a good call on your part just they just bump
one up on the depth start okay you go you go to that role you go to this role that makes sense i
guess uh and abdullah scored but it was like garbage time in the fourth quarter scored a
rushing touchdown jacoby myers have already had this debate he has him very high 13th
jamie has him 37th unless that's going to be adjusted, but just different opinions there.
He did have a 25% target share with Aiden O'Connell last week
on only 20 passes from Aiden O'Connell.
And then Brock Bowers is a must-start,
and the Steelers' DST is a must-start.
Let's go to the Chargers at the Broncos.
Stat of the game, Denver is one of the 12 U.S. cities
to have teams from four major sports,
baseball, hockey, football, and basketball, of the 12 U.S. cities to have teams from four major sports. Baseball, hockey,
football, and basketball,
according to movoto.com.
Can you name the other 11? We're not going to do that now. We are running out of time. New Jersey.
For those of you
at home, think about the
other 11. Okay,
the Chargers, they are the number one
defense in the NFL
by points allowed, facing the Raiders, the Panthers, the Steel one defense in the NFL by points allowed
facing the Raiders, the Panthers, the Steelers, and the Chiefs.
And the Panthers were with Bryce Young.
Yes.
In this game, Chargers at Broncos.
Who is a must-start?
Both DSTs.
There's not an offensive player who is a must-start.
Javante and Dobbins would will be the closest yeah right naji harris versus those guys i think we already said that i'm sorry those guys um i if warren's out i'll take naji over
those guys if warren plays i'll take those guys over naji 13 ppr fantasy points do we get that
from naji who's had 18 touches in two straight games,
or Dobbins?
I mean, look, if Gus Edwards is out, coming off the bye, being injured,
that could be huge for Dobbins just to get a few more opportunities.
And look, deeper leagues, it might be time to pick up Kamani Vidal
just to see what happens there.
The thing that I like about Javante is they lose Tyler Bidet, and no third guy has been used yet.
The one thing to keep an eye on is, I believe, Estime started practicing.
If he gets activated, does that change things?
You asked about 13 points, Adam.
I've got Najee projected for 12.7 dobbins for 12.5
giovante for 12.2 so wow look at that one one of them will get 13 giovante another running back
that has not scored a touchdown where is he in terms of carries giovante let's below 56 obviously
i'm really confused about something guys guys. I need your help with.
What the hell happened to the New England-Houston game?
Why is it not in this show?
I skipped it or something.
Javante has 53 carries.
53.
So he's just below Adam's threshold.
Yeah, just below.
I just assumed that you put it on tomorrow's show because it's the game of the week.
I must have put Cleveland-Philadelphia
or something on this show instead of New England, Houston.
I'm just so thrown off.
You wanted to make sure you got the Bears game on this
show so that we could talk about you dropping Caleb
Williams.
Oh, wait.
I didn't do that game.
Man, I messed this up so bad.
This is the
AFC slash NFC home game.
Talk about Ladd McConkie.
Talk about Cortland Sutton.
Talk about anyone else from this game that you feel like needs to be discussed,
and then we'll move on.
So you've got to assume Quentin Johnston
may get a little bit too much of Sertan
to warrant starting him.
I don't think he's certainly reached
must-start territory by any stretch.
McConkie and Sutton are number three receivers in PPR.
McConkie's got two good games.
Well, they both have two good games.
You just wonder, like, where's the targets?
Are the targets going to be there for Sutton?
I would probably, even if he gets them,
still bet against him having a big game.
Chargers, again, taking into account their opponents,
have been good against opposing receivers.
So Sutton is a sit.
Again, number three receiver at best.
That's pretty much it.
Okay, yeah.
This is not a great game.
The 35.5 point total, you don't want necessarily to start players from this game.
But the DSTs are certainly in play.
You can start them.
And Chargers DST, as of yesterday, was 53% rostered.
All right, so I messed up the games.
I'll save Houston, New England, and Jacksonville, Chicago
for tomorrow, but we'll get to Cleveland, Philadelphia.
This will be the last game for today's
show. I would really
think someone who boldly goes where no one
goes before should have this figured out.
Yeah, that was a mistake on my part.
Honestly, I just forgot to copy and paste
one of the game previews into the notes.
Cleveland at Philadelphia.
Philadelphia has six sacks and 13 quarterback hits in four games.
That is horrible.
And they allow the fourth most fantasy points to wide receivers.
So, you know, we've talked about guys like Calvin Ridley and Tank Dell.
Would you start Amari Cooper over them?
I would.
I would not.
Really?
Both of them over him?
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, I mean, it's...
Ugh.
Okay.
Ridley and Cooper have the same amount of good games,
and Ridley's played one less.
It's true.
Ridley's good game was so fluky, though.
He had a rushing touchdown.
He had a ridiculous catch.
It was an amazing catch,
but not the kind of thing you can count on.
Right on Sauce Gardner.
We're sitting Deshaun Watson, right?
And then what about Njoku if he plays?
Where would he be?
Behind Conklin, behind Schultz, behind Otten.
I was going to say right in the middle of that group.
And where's Jerry Judy?
Any interest in him?
No.
Okay.
Desperate number three receiver in PPR.
Jalen Hurts is ace.
Jalen Hurts or Jaden Daniels?
Daniels.
I have Hurts one spot higher.
I do think Jerome Ford is a borderline RB2 still.
Where would you rank Nick Chubb if he plays?
He would be a borderline RB2.
I have no interest in Ford right now.
Start Saquon Barkley.
Start A.J. Brown. Start or sit
Devante Smith.
Number two receiver.
High in number three.
Why? Why so low?
Because we got two secondary injuries here for the
Browns.
Devontae Smith's not really been that good when both Dallas Goddard and A.J. Brown have been healthy.
Yeah, what do you have?
Week one for Devontae Smith was about 80 yards.
Eight targets, I think.
He had a good game.
All right, so you're going to be a little cautious.
As you start digs over him, Pickens or Devontae?
I would go Pickens.
What did you say, him? Pickens or Devante? I would go Pickens. What'd you say, Jamie?
Pickens.
No Pickens.
I said, Oh, Pickens.
I'm sorry.
I would go Smith over Pickens.
Okay.
See if we have any questions about this game or if we are done.
Cause we talked about Dallas Goddard very early in the show.
You guys can just tell me where you have them ranked in case anybody missed it.
Dallas Goddard.
Seven, six, 10. Okay. very early in the show. You guys can just tell me where you have them ranked in case anybody missed it. Dallas Goddard.
Seven, six.
Ten.
Okay.
What are people doing here with these basketball questions?
Nick Anderson
or Sedale Threat?
Nick Anderson or Dennis Scott.
Oh, man.
That's a good one.
Those guys are both.
They were like the same player.
Anderson.
Really?
Was he that?
Was he clearly better?
Anderson was more of a complete player.
Scott was a great three-point shooter.
Those guys were just lethal
from downtown. Big shot
Bob or John Paxson? Come on, I think we've got to go
John Paxson there.
Eagles DST, you guys
are showing a lot of faith in a
terrible, terrible defense.
I'm probably not going to be as bullish as you all.
You have them top three, the Eagles DST.
Okay. All right, that's, the Eagles DST. Okay.
All right, that's it for today's show.
Thank you for watching.
We will talk to you tomorrow with the other games,
including the ones I was supposed to talk about today.
Enjoy Thursday night football.
And remember, Sunday morning, 9 a.m.,
youtube.com slash fantasyfootballtoday.
Adios.
