This is fantasy football today from CBS Sports.
What a play!
Can you believe this?
It's a no idea.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
This is going to go the distance.
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
All right, happy Friday, everybody, and welcome to fantasy football today, presented by
BEDMGM, Make It Legendary, Friday the 14.
We need.
Ooh.
All right.
We got six games to talk about today.
Detroit at Philadelphia.
Big one.
Sunday night.
Chicago at Minnesota.
Big one.
Seahawks at Rams.
Huge game.
Green Bay at the Giants.
San Francisco at Arizona and Carolina at Atlanta.
Actually, pretty big game there.
All right.
What's up, guys?
Happy Friday.
How we doing?
How we feeling?
How we living?
Yeah.
Good.
Very, very Trevi unhappy.
Oh, what was your ratio of?
of leagues with Trevion to leagues playing against Trevion, Henderson?
Playing against him in one that I know for sure.
It's against Dan in our Yolo Dynasty League.
Okay.
That was the only one that I saw.
I think I have him in like six or seven leagues.
Whoa.
Yeah, so you're a happy boy this morning.
I have been one league.
I am thrilled.
And I don't think I'm playing against him in any.
So I am thrilled.
I think that's on the exact same way.
I can have some marital advice for people.
About Travian Henderson?
Yeah.
Happy wife, happy life.
Don't tell your wife to sit Trayvian Henderson.
The week he scores 30 points.
Oh, no.
It didn't go well.
Who did she start ahead of him?
Giovante Williams and Jalen Warren.
I would have done that.
Warren was a tough one.
Yeah.
Actually, I have Warren, Henderson, William.
games.
Really?
Devante.
Wow.
Oh, yeah.
Well, I'm in the doghouse.
Anyway.
Later, wow.
Yeah, I've got to buy flowers in a bit.
We'll start with that game.
To buy her a page Henderson jersey.
Yeah, just pour salt in the wound there.
I also told her to sit step on face.
Actually, you could probably say, I'm sorry for having you Bench Henderson in the font that Henderson
uses on his jersey and make it until still one jersey.
Oh, was it small?
That's the joke.
Well, I don't know if it was like.
like that last night, but like in the typical Patriots jersey, because they wore those,
whatever they call them, like snowstorm jerseys.
Usually it looks like, like the last name is like, I don't know, Hunt or something.
Yeah, but all the letters smushed together on the back of a jersey.
You haven't seen that?
No.
It's the weirdest thing.
It doesn't look like Henderson at all on his normal jersey.
All right, here we go.
Jets 20, no, Patriots 27, Jets 14.
Kudos to the Jets.
Give the Jets the win.
They played well.
enough um all right what who would you rather have rest of season travion henderson or bruce hall
um um golly i guess i'll still say breeze hall because we don't know it's happened when
romandre comes back but if you told me remandre is done or hey it's it's henderson's job
i'll take henderson well obviously if it was either of those things i would say the exact same
thing i kind of want to say Henderson as well because the touch
were amazing and I love it.
The efficiency wasn't good.
I think there's room for him to get so much better there and it could happen quickly.
It just comes down to whether or not you trust Mike Brable and whether or not he's going
to lean into Henderson moving forward.
I don't know if that is as easy to buy into as the fantasy points would suggest.
I think we kind of know.
It is.
It's really good, man.
We kind of know.
That's going to be in an uphill battle every week.
Henderson, we're at the mercy of what Mike Vrable wants to do.
I mean, to be fair, it doesn't really look like Henderson is a guy who you should be slamming the ball in between the tackles with all game, right?
That could be Ramandre's role.
But obviously, we'd love to see this continue for Trayvion Henderson.
And he had five catches in this game, which is great.
32.3 P.P.R. Fantasy points after 28 last week.
He forced nine missed tackles.
Oh, yeah.
That's really good.
That's great. How about Breeze Hall, though?
I mean, he pretty much has been matchup dependent.
Last week, he had a very good game against Cleveland with a 42-yard touchdown catch.
But his schedule has, I mean, it's not so daunting.
It's got Baltimore, at Baltimore, Atlanta, Miami, at the Jaguars, at New Orleans.
Unfortunately, it's New England in week 17 at Buffalo.
But he is a roller coaster.
I mean, 5.9, 7.2, 34.9.
19.5, 8.4.
Those are the PPR fantasy points for Hall
on the last five games, Jamie.
How do you approach him going forward?
I mean, just the environment
that he's in right now is so bad.
And you wonder if there's a quarterback change coming.
They've mentioned that several times.
Post game on the broadcast,
you know, the post game show that they do on Amazon Prime
that there has to be a change.
Now, part of that is Ryan Fitzpatrick,
I think, sticking up for his buddy.
So he was kind of driving that train.
but in any event, look, we know that Aaron Glenn has clearly not been thrilled with Justin Fields.
Justin Fields is not throwing the ball very well.
I don't know how much of this you could put on Justin Fields because his receiving core is completely miserable.
I mean, you know, they brought in two guys who dominated snaps last night that were buried on their team's benches that they got in throw-ins as trades in John Mechie and at Knight Mitchell.
You know, like that's what we're dealing with him.
Mitchell, two drops.
Like, it's not, it's not help.
There's nothing helping him.
But again, like, at some point, if you're trying to win games, you probably make a change.
If you're trying to lose games, you just let Fields play it out and see how, you know, it all unfolds.
I don't love all those matchups, though, that you said for baseball.
No, not at all.
I don't hate them all, but it's, but is there a single matchup there where you think Brees won't get 15 touches?
Will not see 15 touches.
Unless Baltimore just blast them right away.
sure but short of that he's going to get 15 touches each week now let's flip it to the patriots
if remandre's back how many weeks will travion get 15 touches that's the wild card right
and the efficiency hasn't been maybe all them rushing maybe but even if he only like he's not
going to play 90% of the snaps like he did last night and so if he's going to play 50%
and he's going to see 12 touches and yeah four of them could be catches but he's averaging
3.7 yards per carry, and he doesn't work near the goal line because that's something
that Ramadre's been relatively good at, it makes me nervous about him being a fantasy asset
rest of season. That obviously flips if Rable and Josh McDaniels say, you know what, this dude's
awesome. He's got speed. Let's use them a lot more. And if they do that, he's going to get way more
than 15 touches per game. He's going to be a league winner. We just don't know which way it's going to
go. You should go on with the expectation of what he did, I forget the opponent, but two games
ago when he had 12 people the first start without remandum he had 12.7 ppr points
Atlanta so that's 14 carries for 55 yards four catches for 32 yards like that that should be
the expectations maybe 12 carries and four catches but like that should be the expectations
or 13 carries and three catches you know like something in the neighborhood of 15 total touches
and and that that's that line without a touchdown like that's what the expectation should be and then
how many fantasy points was that game madam 12.7 and we're talking about travion henderson that's full
PPR. Let's wrap up on Trayvion. I want to ask
how many games do you think
Brees is going to get 12.8 or 12 points
or whatever, 12 and change
even with 50 cares per game.
I don't think there's going to be that many. It's going to
be really close between these two.
So I might Lee and Anderson, believe it or not.
Drake May has had three disappointing
games in a row. He scored
17.4 fantasy points
last night. So that's 20.4 against
Atlanta, 22.1 at Tampa
Bay. 17.4 against
the Jets. Do we have any concerns about him?
and do we think Stefan Diggs, if you still can trade, is a sell high or just write it out?
Jamie, thoughts on that passing game there?
He's to stop ranking May 1 and go back to hating him again.
I think in the case of Drake, May, you're just starting him.
Like, you know, unless you picked up somebody along the way or somebody dropped Brock Purdy,
you want to go that route, you want to go matchups, like I'm still starting him.
And then Diggs, look, if you can get something great in trade for it, absolutely explore it.
But, like, this is the number one receiver now.
I ride it out personally, you know.
So, again, the schedule's great.
He's playing very well.
You got to assume that he's just continuing to get stronger with his knee, you know,
as he gets further away from the ACL tear.
That being said, if somebody wants to overpay for him, take it.
Season high, 89.2% route participation rate for Stefan Diggs.
That's great.
It does.
Yeah, I don't think it'll be, I don't know that'll be that high.
I'm surprised Drake may actually through 32 or 34 times, whatever it was in this game,
34 times in this game.
Usually he doesn't throw a lot, especially when they're leading.
But he looked really good, Diggs, and, you know, but most of his games are not like this.
I mean, he's been 46 or fewer yards in four of his last six games,
and they do have a lot of games where they could probably just run the clock out.
Well, I don't know.
I don't know about that because they sell Buffalo and Baltimore.
But they have the Cincinnati, the Giants, and the Jets.
remaining two.
And they'll buy.
Cincinnati could be a shootout, yeah.
All right.
So they'll probably have to throw in at least two,
if not three of those games, maybe more.

Okay, back to the news and notes.
Lamar Jackson, had a full practice, should be good.
J.J. McCarthy, same thing.
Brock Purdy is going to start this week.
Where's he ranked guys at Arizona?
We have that game coming up.
But you can tell me.
Where's he ranked?
I put him 13 just ahead of Tua and Mario.
I've got him in between Tua and Mariotta.
I think he's a safe bet for 20 fantasy points.
Because he's not the only one coming back for the 49ers, Adam.
Oh, Ricky Pearsall is coming back?
Well, it looks like it.
Okay, that's good.
I know it was a possibility.
All right, that's Brock Purdy.
Joe Flacco should be good, and Davis Mills will start at Tennessee.
C.J. Stroud has been ruled out.
Running back, Pacheco missed practice again.
Bucky Irving and Chris Godwin.
they remain limited in practice.
We're not expecting them as of now.
But hopefully we'll have an update for you
on the mailbag on Friday.
We usually get Bucks updates
before that show is over.
Let's see.
Zonovan Knight's been limited.
And who is Devon A. Chan's handcuff, in your opinion, guys?
I've had some people asking me about this
because Jalen Wright seem to be playing
ahead of Ali Gordon.
Dave, do you have a preference there
if you had A. Chan?
Gordon hasn't been 100% lately.
And I think that's why we've seen
a little bit more of Jalen.
and Wright playing. I would imagine it'll be a split between the two. But I haven't seen anything
great from Jaylen Wright in practice, much less a game. So if I had my choice, I would rather
have Gordon than Wright. Okay. Wide receiver, we got Garrett Wilson on IR. Torrey Horton missing
practice. Christian Watson was limited, but he should play. Romeo Dobbs is going to play.
Matthew Golden's got a chance to play. They could have basically a full receiving core other than
Jaden Reed at the Giants this week.
Brian Thomas Jr. limited again.
We know Marvin Harrison Jr. is out.
Ricky Pearsall could play this week.
Terry McLoren was working on the side.
We're still not expecting McLaurin.
They have a buy next week.
Devante Adams looking good to play.
I'm sorry.
Anything there?
No, I was just saying after the buy, McLaren should be back.
Okay.
Calvin Ridley Limited.
I don't, I'm not really expecting Darius Slayton.
We'll see if he practices today.
I was watching him in the fourth quarter.
He looked like he could barely run,
and he's mispractice both practice sessions this week.
So if you have Slayton, I'd be hesitant.
You guys feel the same way?
Yes, and disappointed, too,
because this may be the only James game.
It does make Theo Johnson more interesting.
It makes Wondell Robinson maybe a little bit better.
We'll get to that game in a bit.
And tight end news.
So Gadsden practicing in full.
Breton Strange expects to play this week.
interesting development there.
Would you rather have Brenton Strange or David Nijoku?
Njoku.
Njoku. Strange.
Dalton Schultz, did he come back?
Did he practice yesterday?
I think he missed practice.
Okay.
We'll check on Schultz.
And I think I'm going to bring it up.
Someone asked me if, no, Dalton Schultz did not practice.
Someone asked me if Cade Stover's return could affect Dalton Schultz.
Stover had four targets in week one.
I didn't even know that.
is that even a factor for you guys not at this point the factor for me is that the texans have an easy
match of this week and then a short week showdown against buffalo at home next week and i wonder
if anybody that they plan on counting on for that game in buffalo doesn't or versus buffalo
doesn't get a big workload assuming they beat the breaks off of tennessee so if schultz isn't
100% do they lower his route rate if they have a big lead do they pull woody marks and
nick chubb and they let their other two running back schlemiels go out there and play in the second
half there's there's a couple of things i'm a little bit worried about when it comes to the texans
off it could they go they need the win no question if they're in control if the game is 23-3 in
the fourth quarter i wonder if that pulls those guys off yeah that would be the case even if
they were playing on sunday the next week i've never seen a team pull guys
early because they've got a Thursday game.
I mean, I don't know.
Maybe it's happened, but.
I've seen it a bunch.
No, you have not.
I have too.
Give me an example.
I don't have one.
Come on.
All right.
And Sam Laporta is not practicing.
We've got to keep an eye on this now.
It's a tough matchup to begin with, but Sam LaPorte has got a back injury.
It's not just a Thursday game.
It's Thursday against Buffalo.
Yeah, but I've never seen.
Huge game at home.
They need to win.
They got to win.
They have to win this week.
They do.
Listen, if Tennessee keeps it close with them,
those plans go flying out the window,
and you'll see four quarters of winning marks.
The Jaguars were killing them for the first three quarters.
The Jets gave the Patriots a game.
Like, I don't,
you've seen enough Titans football.
I've never seen teams pull guys in the game on Sunday
because they're concerned about the Thursday game.
No, but if it's a blowout in the fourth quarter of every game.
Yeah.
Okay.
Go ahead.
All right. Let's take a break. One question for each game when we come back.
I have to tell you about this game-changing product I use before a night out drinking.
It's called pre-alcohol. Zbiotic pre-alcohol drink is the world's first genetically engineered probiotic.
Here's how it works. When you drink, alcohol gets converted into a toxic byproduct in the gut.
It's a build-up of this byproduct, not dehydration. That's the blame for those rough days after drinking.
Pre-alcohol produces an enzyme to break this by-product down.
Just remember to make pre-alcohol your first drink of the night.
Drink responsibly, and you'll feel your best tomorrow.
A couple weeks back, so on my morning jacket at the Brooklyn Paramount,
but I had an early morning tea time the next day all the way in New Jersey.
Had my prebiotic, pre-alcohol, went out, enjoyed the concert,
woke up the next morning, got to the tea time, in time, and pard the first hole.
Make the most of every toast, tailgate, and touch down this holiday season.
Just don't forget to bring pre-alcohol along for the ride.
Go to Zbiotics.com slash FFT to learn more and get 15% off your first order when you use FFT at checkout.
By the way, I forgot to ask, are there any offensive line injuries or defensive injuries that are making a big difference for you guys in your rankings this week?
I mean, keep an eye on Lane Johnson.
You know, he's been banged up.
He's trending in the right direction.
Cam Jorgans, too.
He looks like he's going to play.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's back.
That's great. That's really good for Philly.
The Raiders might be down three offensive linemen.
They are already going to be without JPJ at right guard.
And here come the Cowboys with Quinn and Williams and their newfound defensive front.
So that worries me a little bit about Ashton Genty.
I shouldn't even say a little bit.
It worries me a lot about Ashton Genty.
There's a chance Ryan Kelly comes back for Minnesota.
So hopefully he plays four quarters and that offensive line is at full strength for them.
There's other ones as we go along with the games if there's something that comes
comes to mine. Aaron Brewer is going to be back. Is Austin Jackson coming back for Miami? So that
offensive line could be a little bit stronger. Josh Simmons looks like he's going to return for the
Chiefs. He's their left tackle. That's big news for them. And you got a couple of defensive backs.
Terry and Arnold and Kirby Joseph, who could be out for the Lions at Philadelphia. That could be helpful
too. All right. And I mentioned yesterday that Buffalo's secondary seems to be getting a lot healthier.
They were super beat up last week. But they are looking healthier this week against Tampa.
Bay. Okay, one question for each game. Detroit is at Philadelphia. Rank A.J. Brown,
Devante Smith and Jameson Williams. Smith, Brown Williams. I'll take Brown first.
Brown Smith Williams. Oh, is this a man's own thing? It is a man's own thing. We've seen a much higher
target per route run rate for A.J. Brown against man-to-man coverage. And the lines play the
fourth most man and I think they're going to do they're going to play a lot of that and I also think
it's not going to make it easy on A.J. Brown because DJ Reed looks like he's coming back for the
lions. And it's the game of the weekend. Yes. The Eagles and the Lions. It's a Sunday night
showdown Dave. And it's the game of the week. Hey. All right. First of all, I think you picked the wrong
And second of all, I even, I gave you all the time you needed, and it still took you like seven minutes to play the music.
Sorry, I'm soloing.
Listen, that was, I was setting it up.
If you're setting it up, then it better be a lot better and more surprising.
So let me tell you, let me get you behind the scenes here.
Three out of five.
Actually looking for this sound effect, the squeaky crickets for A.J. Brown.
Is he going to get the squeaky wheel?
A little bit of that, too.
But as I was on the mixer looking for my sounds, I said, you know what?
Dave is expecting Ram Seahawks.
Let's smash that button and play the game of the week.
Because you were expecting Ram Seahawks, weren't you?
Three stars.
Three out of five stars.
I'll take it.
Five stars for yesterday with Heath.
and singing the game of the big song and Espanio.
Oh, Heath's giving me negative five stars.
Heath is not happy.
Oh, I know.
I have been where Heath has been.
I know.
I watch that.
I was like, yep, know what that's like.
Oh, man.
All right.
Chicago at Minnesota.
Jamie, you remember we did something like sit,
reluctant start or excited start?
Is Chicago at Minnesota one of those reluctant start games?
No
No?
Who are you excited to start?
Bo Dunzei, Swift, Jefferson.
I actually like Aaron Jones a lot.
I think there's a great history here.
Okay, I just can't really get a grip,
get a feel for how I expect this game to go.
Is this going to be a defensive game, an offensive game?
But all right, good, I'm glad you're excited.
Oh, Caleb.
Yeah, no, he makes me so nervous.
All right, we'll save it.
But you guys are confident.
I think you guys have him about 12, Caleb Williams.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Because Minnesota's number one in the NFL and pressure rate.
The Giants got a decent amount of pressure on him, but he kept getting away from it last week, which was amazing.
Right.
They're running.
What he does.
Yeah.
But, okay.
I'm looking forward to talking about that game.
Seahawks at Ram.
He avoids pressure, runs around, burn 17 seconds, and then throws, like, a pass that is almost intercepted.
Seahawks at Rams.
Or he had Bromadunzee on the sideline for a big play.
Are you concerned?
about Kairn Williams, tough matchup, and he's had 14 or fewer carries in five of his last
six games. Dave, are you concerned about Kiron Williams? To the point where he's outside of my top
15 at running back, yes, to the point where I'm going to sit him for Rashad White or Seahawks
running back. I still think that the opportunity for touchdowns and what I think is going to be
a high-scoring game and still plenty of work, not necessarily dominating work, because Blake's
like quorum has been getting in there with him he's still a number two running back but he's
not the number one guy or anything a top 12 line for fantasy he's there a one a yeah okay
this is a reluctant start i think you know going into the week derrick henry kairn williams brees
hall trying to anybody else i mean you're going to throw gentie in there or no i was i was about
to say like i don't i don't know if gentie falls in that category i guess you probably put
them there just because the offensive line concerns and we'll see what happens
with Dallas, but yes, you could certainly put him
in that category of
somebody mentioned in the chat, like
you start, you know you're going to get
a bad game out of it, but there's nobody better on your team to
start over them. Yeah, I said that about Presol, yeah.
Green Bay is at the Giants. Who's the best wide receiver in this
game, Jamie?
Wondell Robinson. Dave?
Jamie's right.
San Francisco's at Arizona.
How would you rate... He's right
if catches count. I'll take Christian
Watson if catches do not.
out. Oh, wow. I take Dobbs over Watson, I think, in any format. I just feel like it, well,
last week was horrible. But Dobbs. I think they try and rectify that this week. I think they
try. I would have been with you if Dobbs was out. I just, I don't know, like, if they're forcing
more than handful of plays and four targets for Christian Watson at this point. Yeah, but it's against
the Giants. And if that giant secondary is still beat up. It's not. It's not beat up, though. The Giants
look like they might have. Are they getting a Debo?
back i haven't been limited oh that's going to help the fact that definitely helps yeah yeah no i might
even switch it but i didn't know that so thank you for telling me well i mean i don't know if he's playing
but he's been limited all right uh stan he's definitely playing and locking down christian watson
that's what i heard he's not going to you know yeah he's not going to shadow christian watson
zero catch me i rank him accordingly thank you adam for that important information
san francisco at ari de mercado and michael wilson on the sleeperometer
Does it be sleepometer?
No.
No, because that would be if they're actually going to sleep.
Gotcha.
No, that would be a sleep number.
They're high.
Yeah.
But do you think Zonovan Knight's going to play?
I mean, that clearly changes things for DiMarcato to a certain extent, but you have to, I mean, I'm going to approach it like he's got the most upside of this backfield.
He may not get the most touches, but his explosive plays have been good, and they've been using him in the passing game.
So without Marvin Harrison, they're in a game where they're probably chasing points.
Like, I like Di Mercado still.
Yeah.
So DeMercado has three carries this year of 17 or more yards.
The guy he's going against Christian McCaffrey has zero.
But that was a very hilarious stat.
Carolina's at Atlanta.
Start or sit, Teteroa McMillan.
Definite start in three receiver leagues, borderline starter, and two receiver leagues.
I reluctantly start him.
even in three receiver leagues,
and especially if it's half or non-PPR.
Okay.
So I think we could probably preview that game in like 90 seconds,
but we'll find out later on.
Detroit at Philadelphia, here we go.
It's the game of the week.
Game of the week.
In case you haven't heard.
It's not El Partido de la Semaada, though.
No.
All right, Philadelphia,
so I talked about,
I don't know if this even matters to you at all.
We'll see.
This will be a good litmus test.
Philadelphia allows the third most receiving yards per game
on play action passes.
They went a lot more under center.
The Lions did.
Under center play action last week
with Dan Campbell calling the place,
and that's where James and Williams thrives
throughout his career.
So, yeah, he's a really tricky call
because the Eagles defense is very good.
Let's be real here.
Jamie, with, I think it's always David Montgomery.
Well, no, it's golf, Montgomery, and Jamo, right?
Okay, I'm an idiot.
It's everyone but Gibbs and St. Brown for the Lions.
They're kind of a tough team on a weekly basis.
How do you feel about them this week in Philadelphia?
Goff would be a number two quarterback.
I think there's still a chance for him to get to around 20 fantasy points
because of how I think this game will go where they're going to throw a little bit more.
And the way that James and Williams looked last week.
Now, Leporta not being there will change some things clearly for everybody.
But assuming Leporta plays, you're starting him almost by default,
similar to what we said about some of these running backs,
like it may not be his best game,
but it's hard to, you don't want to carry two tight ends.
You're certainly not going to bench him for some of these,
you know,
Pat Fryermuths and those type of players yet.
In the case of Jameson Williams,
I think he's earned the trust to be back in three receiver leagues as a starter.
And in two receiver leagues,
it comes down to who else you have as a flex.
So, again, you know, there's,
the thing about Montgomery that's a little weird is
they've given up rushing touch.
I think they've allowed eight on the season.
And so that's where Montgomery's going to have to win.
He just hasn't been very consistent since the Cincinnati game,
one touchdown since that game,
and not doing much else on top of it.
So in a game where they're potentially chasing points
against a good run defense,
despite the fact that they've given up rushing touchdowns,
including last week,
I would try to set him.
This feels like a Jemir gives game more so than anything else.
Is there any format in which you would start David Montgomery over A.J. Brown?
or Devante Smith?
The only one would be
if you're still in the ancient
touchdown only leagues.
Right.
Yardage doesn't count.
Catches don't count.
So in general,
are you thinking that A.J. Brown bounces back
and how are we feeling about those guys, Dave,
Brown and Smith?
I think they're both number two receivers.
I'm going to buy into it for a couple of reasons.
Number one, the man coverage
that I expect the Lions to play.
Number two, I think that
I think that Philly's going to have a hard time running the football.
Even though they've got Cam Juergens back, Lane Johnson will play.
I believe in the Lions front.
I think they're pretty good up there.
And Saquan hasn't been efficient.
And this is a game where I think they're going to need to throw to win.
And this is, it's just based on their track record this year and in years past,
these guys are going to be involved.
Brown especially, if it's one-on-one down the field, we've seen Hertz take shots.
And I think he can win on those shots,
even though it's going to be against good corner coverage.
Okay.
I think the thing to keep in mind with AJ Brown,
because clearly a lot of question marks.
So forget about the on-field stuff,
the thing that he said on the Twitch stream.
And then his comments,
and I was reading this morning,
like Jordan Milata, for example,
everybody supports him.
Everybody publicly at least supports him
and what he said.
And the fact that he,
I don't know if you heard what his comments were,
he's like, I'm not calling anybody out.
Yes.
I'm not saying that I'm on,
happy that we're winning, he feels like they could win in an easier fashion if the offense is doing
more. And so, you know, you bring up the squeaky wheel situation. Like, you hope that that
happens, right? But this, this doesn't seem like he's, he's clearly not been involved as much
as we like. And we had that from after week one, then he had that stretch of games where he was getting
targets, it just wasn't producing. I think if you're just approaching it, like, you know,
Dave gives you a great example of how this could work because of the defense that he's
facing and how he's thrived in those situations.
I just don't know if we're going to see, oh, this is a 10 plus target game for AJ Brown
because we want to make him happy.
Right.
I just don't know if that's the case.
I wouldn't approach it that way.
Like, he could win because of how things unfold in the game.
He could win because of how Detroit plays.
He can win because the targets that he's getting and maybe there's a few more, you know,
maybe one or two more.
I don't know.
But I wouldn't go into this expecting, okay, here's unhappy player.
We're going to appease him.
I just don't think that that's the case.
If he's getting more than a third of the targets when you run.
or route against man coverage,
I like his chances to get north of seven targets.
Yeah, unfortunately, he's had that a number of times
and has not, you know, performed.
It's wild.
I mean, he had that stretch that Jamie was talking about.
Weeks 2 through 6, he had 8 or more targets in every game.
He was on pace for 150 targets from week 2 through 6,
and A.J. Brown was on pace in those games
for 82 catches, 940 yards,
and three touchdowns on 150 targets.
That's not H.A. Brown.
It should be almost double the yardage and touchdowns.
I mean, not quite, but it should be much better.
He just...
Certainly the touchdowns.
He's just struggling.
I think just, you know, separate conversation.
If you are out of your dynasty league, this is a good guy to go trade for if you have something that you can offer somebody that's in contention.
Because he's probably out of Philadelphia.
Oh, he's going to Buffalo.
I mean, I'm telling you right now.
Well, sure.
That's what they want is another diva complaint.
landing wide receiver in buffalo they need they're going to waste josh allen's prime if they don't
win the super bowl here they need to get him a wide receiver and it's going to be a j brown book it okay
back to this game um dave you are higher you are the highest on jameson williams he's 22 for you
he's 27 for jamies so not too different and he's 32nd for heath's actually perfectly in the middle
22 2732 there um give me make the case for james and williams just like him better than a lot of
the receivers that are in that same range.
Receivers like D.K. Mecalfe, who has an amazing matchup, not sure how many targets he's
going to get. Joan Jennings, who now has to deal with Ricky Pearsall coming back, there is
always going to be a large group of number three type wide receivers, and Jameson Williams
is just at the top of that list for me. Should be a relatively high scoring game.
It doesn't particularly do well when Geragoff is pressured, and I think golf is going to get
pressure quite a bit. What do you go? I asked Adam.
him about this. Jamie, let me ask you, all but one of Jamos catches last week came with a Munra off the
field. I'm just wondering if you think that that means anything or not, because yes, he definitely
was utilized differently. It looked great, but that was just a weird kind of wrinkle that I
wasn't expecting when I went back and watched last week. I mean, I'm assuming if you're calling
past plays and Amarra's off the field, who else are you going to throw to? Like, I'm trusting Jameson
William more than Isaac Tesla at this point.
you know, so, um, sure.
I mean, LaPorter was out there, but points taken.
Yeah.
I want to read too much into it.
St. Brown usually plays, you know, just about every snap, but it's been, when St.
Brown was not on the, was on the field, J. Mo didn't do much at all.
Yeah, one catch.
All right.
So I'm going to, I'm going to do R.J. Harvey's going to be kind of our litmus test today, okay?
R.J. Harvey or A.J. Brown?
Uh, A.J. Brown. R.J. Harvey or Devante Smith?
Smith.
I like Smith better than Brown, so I'll take Smith.
R.J. Harvey or James and Williams?
I'll take Harvey.
I might take Harvey in non-PPR, otherwise it's JMO.
Start or sit, Jalen Hertz.
Start, but there are, you know, a couple guys I like better.
Such as.
Herbert, I would have said May.
Flacco?
No, I have Hertz over Flacco.
I have Hertz third.
I'll take Baker over Hertz.
Okay.
take Lamar and Allen over Hertz.
Okay.
And I, you know, I think Detroit's got a pretty good defense, but if they are missing Arnold
and Joseph, that's not going to be good.
But they've allowed multiple touchdown passes in seven of nine games.
They've had a lot of injuries.
And Sequin Barclay, look, he's Sequin Barclay.
It's a tough matchup again.
He hasn't been great this year.
He's 10th, right around 10th for these guys, ninth or 10th.
I debated him versus Jalen Warren.
like this is how down I like Warren better yeah yeah I and I get it I completely get it and I could see
myself making that change too because that matchup is so good and his matchup is so bad but just
like Adam said it's Saquan Berkeley and so if you're if you're really if you really have
McCaffrey Barkley and Warren on your team getting away from Saquan Barkley it just feels a
little tough to do fortunately not many people have that problem yeah and you mentioned it
Adam, Arnold, Joseph, and you said it with Leporta too, right?
They haven't practiced this week.
Which tight end do you like better, by the way?
Leporta, if he plays or Goddard?
Still Leporta.
Would you start at Theo Johnson over either of them?
No.
Leportas actually been the go-to guy for golf this year when he's been pressured.
He has the highest target per route run rate of anybody on the lines when that's been the case.
I've got a few questions in the chat.
James and William's or Cortland Sutton?
Jamo.
Yeah.
Hertz or Stafford?
Stafford.
Hurts.
Kamani Vidal or David Montgomery, non-P-P-R?
Vidal.
Got that.
And Jameson Williams or Quentin Johnston?
I'll take Johnson.
I've got Johnson one spot ahead.
Okay.
All right.
We're actually going to take a break here, and that was a long game for sure, but worth it.
Oh, DSTs, start the DSTs, either of them?
I know.
Eagles over the lions, but low-end starter.
Okay.
All right.
We'll do the Bears and the Vikings when we come back on fantasy football today.

Chicago's at Minnesota.
Coincidence of the game?
The Bears allow four yards per carry to running backs with linebacker T.J. Edwards
on the field and 5.6 yards per carry to running backs with Edwards off the field.
And he has not been practicing.
Seems like quite a...
It seems like coincidence to me, but those are the numbers, and it could be a huge deal.
Earlier I talked about, is this going to be a high-scoring game, a low-scoring game?
Jamie, what do you think?
The spread is suggesting high-scoring, 48-5, or the total, rather, 48-and-a-half.
I mean, I hope so.
You know, it was an entertaining game in week one.
Things that really get going until the second half, and I don't know how much of that played into McCarthy more so than the Bears,
because the Bears' offense looked good in the first half.
It always comes down to which defense shows up for Minnesota.
You know, last two games, they've played fairly well.
you know, keeping the Lions defense, offense, and check and obviously keeping, you know, Baltimore to kicking field goals.
Chicago's offense playing well right now, you know, and so I think just in the case of what you're looking at from the Bears and their fantasy options, like Caleb Williams is a low-end starter.
Obviously, DeAndre Swift should be considered at least a number two running back.
And in the case of Romo Dunzee, you know, you throw out the one bad game two games ago.
I think he's been fairly consistent and did well against this defense as well in week one.
excuse me. So those three for me are starters. I think Loveland's a borderline starter,
you know, depending on what your tight end situation looks like. Maybe we get Luther
Burden. If DJ Moore, I think he was limited yesterday. If DJ Moore is out with
their shoulder injury, then you could trust burden maybe more so than you would trust
DJ more by himself. But I think just in the case of Moore or Burden, you shouldn't be starting
them at this point. And for the Vikings, really, again, if McCarthy plays well, then there's
a chance for everybody to play well here. But we just haven't seen that from him consistently. So to me,
it's Jefferson and Aaron Jones as the only starters.
Dave, how do you feel about this game?
Basically the same.
I don't even know if I need to get into it any more than Jamie did.
Okay.
Then I'll go point, counterpoint, right?
You said the Bears' offenses look good lately.
I think my issue is they haven't looked good until like six minutes are left in the fourth quarter.
Right?
They have stretches where they look horrible.
Romo Dunez has actually been bad in three of his last five games.
At Washington against the Saints and Cincinnati, scored a combined 10.
point three fantasy points in those three games now i don't even want to make that case i'm i
consider him an absolute must start jefferson is a must start but jefferson's been something like
wide receiver 24 per game or something crazy like that um addison you know can't really trust him
and then it's caleb will you know the first game against minnesota he did well but he he needed
that a lot of rushing production 58 yards and a touchdown it's all the way back he's been doing
yeah but i i mean he also scored four point seven points against the saints 13 point eight at las
Vegas, 11.8 at Baltimore, who does he do well against? He usually does really well against
the layups, but, you know, Cincinnati and the Giants and the Cowboys. And Minnesota. Minnesota was
his fourth best game, but, you know, he had 210 passing yards and one touchdown there.
So I don't, I don't know, man. I'm nervous about it. I'm starting, I think you guys are
going to tell me not too, but I'm starting Aaron Rogers over Caleb Williams.
I don't hate that. I mean, again, Rogers gets the Bengals. To me, it's like once you get to
like QB 8, 8 through like 15, there's, there's so much upside for a lot of those guys.
You know, so Tua, Marioota, Rogers, obviously, Flacko, obviously.
You know, like, you're just looking at what the potential is for these guys.
I think Caleb's in that group.
I just, I always feel like Brian Flores has the chance to be, be great as a coordinator
and really flummox a young quarterback like Caleb Williams.
I guess that's not.
Sure.
Then they're down one of their key defensive linemen.
Lamar Jackson struggled last week
but for the most part
good quarterbacks have done well
against Minnesota
if you want to have confidence
of Caleb Williams
Dave who's the best running back
in this game
it's swift
but I agree that Aaron Jones
has a chance to do very well
he's been the lead back
for Minnesota since he's come back
and he's looked good
and you mentioned it
T.J. Edwards being out
does matter for the Bears
Noah Sewell has replaced him
he was okay last week
but he's had some really bad games
before then
I think you should feel confident with AJ or not A.J's initials,
Aaron Jones as a number two running back this week.
Okay.
Jones has last 13 games against the Bears is averaging 18.1 PPR.
Wow.
And to be honest, his week one game brought that average down.
Yeah, that's, it's a pretty.
And what did you do in week one?
he had
eight carries for 23 yards
three catches for 44 yards
and a touchdown for 15.7 ppr fantasy
yeah that brought his average down
so I'll read some chat questions here
but before I do that
the tight ends
do we want to start
no not Hawkinson
but Loveland over Hawkinson
and I don't have Loveland as like a top 12 guy
he's kind of down there for me
yeah I don't think he's horrible
but last week I think is what you should kind of expect
nine and a half PPR points in that range.
And we talked about it on the Stash show, Adam.
Luther Burden should be on way more rosters than he is right now.
He's available in over 75% of CBS leagues,
but there's a chance that he could make inroads
on taking over a nice role in Chicago.
The one thing about Loveland,
five touchdowns allowed to tight ends in the last five games for me.
Yeah. They've been.
struggling there. All right. O'Donzee or Higgins?
O'Donzee. I believe I have T. Hire.
Swift, Roshad White, or Zay Flowers, PPR?
Swift.
Swift. Real quick on Swift. Does it bother you that he basically split snaps, split
possessions in the first three quarters, no? No. No. I think whenever there's an easy
game, you should worry about it. When there's a tough game where they're probably going to be in a
dog fight or maybe even chasing points, like that's where Swift is going to shine.
And he's going to have more efficiency, a better role in the passing game.
I know he's better than Menangay.
I'm just saying, are you worried that we might be fooled by his role?
It's starting him over in every downback, for example, I don't know who, you know, I don't know.
Gentie.
Yeah, Swift or Gentie.
Swifter, Berkley.
I would take Barclay over Swift.
I am, I currently have Swift over Gentie because I'm really worried about the offensive line for Vegas.
Barclay Swift, Gentie for me.
Pick one in Superflex.
Bo Nix, J.J. McCarthy, James Winston.
I think I have Knicks ranked the highest.
Justin Jefferson or Trey McBride at Flex.
McBride, if that's the choice.
But, I mean, how are you sitting one of these guys?
Quinn-Shon-Judkins or O'Dunze, P-P-R.
O'Donzee.
O-Dunzee.
O-Dunzee or Rashad-White.
That's an easy one.
O-D-D-N-A.
All right.
That's it for this game.
Let's see.
I think the Vikings defense was in play here.
I can go Bears over Vikings.
Only for Heath.
Heath likes the Vikings.
Actually, the Bears allow the third fewest fantasy points of DSTs.
They don't get sacked and they don't turn the ball over.
All right.
Next game is Seattle at Los Angeles.
The second best game of the week.
Yeah.
All right.
I already gave you the stat about Kyron Williams.
more than 14 carries in one of his last six games.
And if he doesn't score, he struggles.
I'm going to try to trade him.
You guys, I'm glad Heath isn't here.
I'm obviously going to have to try to get something great for Kyron Williams,
but I'm nervous because he's got Seattle again,
I think, in the fantasy championship.
If I were you, I would try and maybe do up like a package of maybe Kyron
and Nico Collins for Christian McCaffrey.
That might work out for me yet.
Yeah.
Rams are super easy.
start Puka, start Devante,
and we already talked about
Kyron. Well, is Kyrin or Swift?
Swift.
Kyron or Chase Brown.
Chase Brown.
I have to apologize
for not even bringing up Kyle Menongai.
Where's Kyle Menongai
if we go back to last game real quick?
I'm sorry, we're past that game.
Can't talk about him.
Look at the image.
That's amazing.
I can't see.
It's Dan with a very, like, a very...
Black nose strip.
That's so funny.
I am loving that you guys are starting to use
images from the show as your avatars.
Oh, they have been for a while.
It's great.
Well, yeah, I mean, there's the one of you scaring Adam.
There's the one of Heath from when he started working here
and he looked like a fresh-faced 20-year-old.
Yep.
Good stuff.
I love the guy, Rai.
It's me doing what?
Oh, in the hot box, yeah.
Oh, yeah?
Did he change it?
Well, that's been a while.
Oh, that's when I had sunglasses.
I should bring that back next week next Wednesday.
Where is Stafford ranked?
You mean Monongai?
Oh, did you answer that?
Flex.
Nogai's a flex.
All right, where's Stafford's top six?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's on some incredible run.
S-U-T-D-stud.
Yeah.
In his last six games, Matthew Stafford's on pace for 57 touchdowns and no interceptions.
You got to ride that out.
Do you guys think this is a high-scoring game?
Again, it's 48 and a half.
It's just like the Vikings Bears game, but it's also too respectable to good defenses.
I worry more so about the Seahawks than the Rams because I think as Stafford has played and shown us, like, I don't think he's matchup proof.
And clearly the Seahawks defense is great, but I think they'll score.
and the Seahawks, like, we've seen easy opponents for them,
and we've seen, you know, like the Houston game, for example,
where they struggled a little bit.
And this Rams defense is good.
So I'm more worried about Seattle's holding up there into the barring.
Because the Rams, I know Kyron's been, you know, sort of up and down,
but they can still beat you both ways.
They can run on you and they can throw on you.
The Hawks have not been able to run on a lot of teams.
And so if they get one-dimensional, I know the Rams haven't exactly been great
at getting to the quarterbacks lately, but it just feels like,
this is going to be,
I don't want to say a make or break game for Darnold,
but if they're going to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender
and they certainly are,
this has to be Darnold overcoming some of the things
that have plagued him in the last year plus
when he's been great.
So if he has a great game here,
Calmi has all in.
If he has a mediocre game here,
I still think they have a chance.
If he stinks, then they're not ready to compete with the best of the best.
And I think the Rams are one of the best of the best teams.
And then how many,
it's like a high number of
turnovers for Donald
in his last few games.
Six in his last three.
Yeah.
That's what keeps me
from being blind
to all the other issues
with Donald
because that's a pretty big issue
and those turnovers
if he's averaging two a game
and that includes
a matchup against Washington
where he was unbeatable.
I like him.
I don't love him.
I think he's got to get the ball
out quickly.
I do worry about this Rams pass rush
which has suddenly gone missing
one of the games though
like Tyler Shuck was getting the ball out quick
and he was beating the Rams that way
ended up not mattering for the score of the game
the Rams crushed him
but Donald's someone that's at best
a reluctant start and not a top 12 quarterback
I think I think just
just one thing with with Darnell
like was 12 past temps
last week yes and two phone
that was just a weird game
yeah 178 yards and a touchdown
on 12 pass stems but he had a turnover
he had an interception and two fumbles.
But look, the Rams on paper,
they're allowing the ninth few
his fantasy points to the quarterback.
I'll tell you why I like Darnold.
And Dave, you have him at 12th or 13th.
Jamie, you have him, I think 20th.
Heath has him 22nd.
I just think whenever he throws,
he's been so efficient, so good,
this offense is humming.
Whenever he throws, he does well.
I liked Mack Jones last week
because I felt the Niners wouldn't be able
to run the ball that successfully against the Rams
and the Rams would put up points.
The Rams have a very good run defense, and they force you to throw.
So I think the same thing's going to happen here.
I don't think the Seahawks are going to run the ball that well against the Rams.
But also, it's not just like you see the Rams have a good defense.
They certainly do.
But name me one good quarterback that hasn't done well against them.
The only one is Daniel Jones.
Jalen Hurts scored 35 fantasy.
And he was close to.
And he was, right.
Adonai Mitchell fumbled the ball going to the end zone.
It could have been an okay game.
Mac Jones scored 26 or more fantasy points twice.
It's three times.
It's two games from Mac Jones.
in one game from Jaylen Hurd.
But they've played garbage.
They played Stroud, Cam Ward, Daniel Jones, they did well, the Baltimore backup
quarterbacks, Tyler Shuck.
So Daniel Jones is the only quarterback that they've shut down, and Adonai Mitchell played
a big hand in that.
So I'm actually somewhat confident in Darnold.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Like, this is one of those games where which Darnold shows up, and I think the other part
of this is, at least for me, where I have these guys ranked, and I know it didn't work
out for Drake May.
It just feels like this is such a great week for quarterbacks.
I don't know if, like, 18 to 20 gets you even in the top 15.
Right.
So how much upside does he have?
I'm going over 20.
I'm going over 20.
Fair.
That's fair.
Are you going over 24?
We're talking about fantasy points and six point per passing touchdown leagues for Darnold.
Yes.
I'll go 22 to 23.
So I'll take the under.
Yeah.
You've just made the case for us.
And I think 22 to 23 is completely reasonable.
There are at least 12 quarterbacks you can look at and say they're getting over 23.
with the same type of floor maybe even a better
I think he has 35 point I think he has 35 point upside
and I think nobody else would feel that way
but I see it could be a shootout
I think he has 12 point downside
right but I think he's big upside I can name you
five other quarterbacks that have 35 point upside
but still 18 to 20 point floor
yeah no I'm not saying he's a top five guy
but I
it sounds like you're making the case from as a top 10 guy
look he has he has arguably
the best receiver in the NFL right now.
Right.
I think we're going to see what Rashid Chahit offers.
Hooper Cup revenge game.
You know, we have a lot of things that play here that could help, Donald.
I think you're going to see a lot of tight end targets in this game from both teams.
Okay, so who else are we starting in this game?
Stafford's an obvious start.
Adams, Puka, J.S.N.
Kieran is a reluctant start.
There's only one obvious start for the Seahawks.
It's just JASN.
Correct.
Yeah.
So Ken Walker or Charbonnet.
Which one would you guys prefer?
Charbonnet.
I'd prefer Charbonnet also, but this is not the spot where you would expect Charbonnet to do well because the Rams keep running back side of the end zone.
And so he needs to score.
He just hasn't done very much without scoring.
But you wonder if they play Charbonnet more just because of, you know, we had Robert Turbin on with us yesterday.
And he said, you know, looking at the tape of what Seattle's doing.
And it's kind of been the critique for Ken Walker since we've seen him in the NFL.
You know, he's hunting the big play too much.
and it's forcing him to miss some obvious ones
that could lead to a big place.
Who is this about?
Robert Turbin said this about Ken Walker.
And he's been...
That's the story of his career.
That's what I said.
Right, right, right.
And he's been a big, you know, supporter of Kenneth Walker
for as long as I can remember.
All right.
Yesterday was one of the first times he was like, yeah,
not sure if I'm buying it anymore.
Like he thought he was just a self
for whatever you could get type of asset in fantasy Walker.
Okay.
wrap up here with some chat questions
Darnold or Flacco
Joe
Flacko
yeah even for me
Walker Spears Tracy

you're the same
Charbonnet or Perker
Washington. That's obviously going to change if
Bucky Irving ends up playing. Yeah.
Washington. I don't think that will.
Okay. All right. Oh, this is
a good question. Rams or Seahawks DST?
Rams.
I believe I have Seattle in my top
12, like at 12, and the Rams
just outside.
Seattle's been pretty good.
That one for me comes down to Darnold's turn the ball
over six times in the last three games and Stafford
never throws picks. Yeah. Seahawks
though, Seahawks have one of the best DSTs in fantasy.
They have, but again,
look where they played.
Well, they're good against the Niners, great at Pittsburgh in week two, terrible against
the bucks.
They have not faced a lot of good offenses, though.
So they're very good.
They travel well, but, you know, Jamie said earlier that he doesn't think that Stafford's matchup
proof.
I kind of do.
This passing game has been unreal against everybody.
Amazing.
So making that switch going with Rams over the Seahawks, I get it.
I think with the Darnold turnovers, that makes a lot of sense.
Now, don't drop the Seahawks defense.
No, no.
They play Tennessee next week.
All right, Green Bay,
at the Giants and stat of the game in seven starts last year with Cleveland.
A Brown's pass catcher had 70 or more yards 10 times with James Winston.
So that's 10 times in seven games with James.
They had 70 or more yards.
So far this year, a Giants pass catcher has had 70 or more yards eight times in 10 games,
less than what happened in seven games with the Browns last year.
So hopefully this is good for,
For the Giants pass catchers.
Wondale Robinson or A.J. Brown.
Brown.
I'll say, Wondale, if Slayton is out.
Yes, yes.
Do you like Theo Johnson more than you usually would?
Yes.
I think I might start him over Leporta.
Is that crazy if Leporta plays?
I'm not that far off from you right now.
And if Slayton's out, I'm going to do it.
Here's the thing.
James Winston has some huge games.
He also has some terrible games.
And this is arguably the best past defense in football.
They are best in yards per attempt.
And they just made the Eagles look pretty silly last week.
So I don't know if I can do it with Theo Johnson over LaPorteur.
But I, yeah.
How do you feel about James checking down?
Do you think he looks deep and then throws short because guys are covered?
Or do you think that he's going to throw deep no matter what?
No, he's not going to throw deep if the Giants don't have any one that's good going deep.
This is James being James.
this is just a tendency that he's had his entire career.
How do you feel about that?
Like Leporta injured against the Eagles versus Theo Johnson?
I've got Leporta higher as of now.
If he's playing, I'm going to start him over Theo Johnson.
If Satan's out, I'll take, I'll take Theo.
I get it.
And I'm hoping that the targets will be there for him and that James leans on him.
I don't, it's such an interesting setup for Winston because they don't have anybody
that can get open or even be in on 50-50 balls down.
field.
That's kind of the case, even if Slayton plays.
Are you excited to start anyone in this game other than Josh Jacobs?
Wondell Robinson, if Dary Slaton's out.
No.
Dobbs.
And Theo Johnson, if Terry Slaten's out.
The Packers' DST, that's who I'd be excited to start.
Yeah, Jamie, it just, I understand the enthusiasm.
I'm just nervous about the matchup.
They're so good.
Well, tight ends have done well against Packers this season.
So I don't, and Theo Johnson's coming off a game where he was highly targeted and did very well.
And he's been good at finding the end zone this season.
season since Jackson Dart took over.
And this is a guy in terms of James
that will give him more opportunities because Jackson Dart was running.
So I like the setup, again, if Slayton's not there.
And in the case of Wondell Robinson, you go back to the first two games that he played
without Darius, without Dary Slaten dealing with the hamstring injure,
concussion, excuse me, and Malik Neighbors was gone.
The first game was great.
It was like seven for 95 in a touchdown.
You know, so we saw a little bit of a different Wondell Robinson that we used to seeing.
So they're going to be, I mean, this is a 40.
plus pass attempt game.
Usually is with James.
Right.
And so while it may be ugly and there's going to be probably an interception or six,
there's a chance that, you know, we get 10 plus targets for Wando Robinson and 10 plus targets
for Theo Johnson.
You know, so like if you're playing DFS, Jalen Hyatt may be a good play this week because
of, you know, Slayton potentially being out.
And I love Slayton to be plays.
I was, you know, very disappointed to see him missing practice with the hamstring injury and
probably like you said, going to be out because he's the type of.
of guy that would be great for James.
You know, a guy that can win down the field if he catches it, but, you know, gets open.
And so you're banking on the targets being there for these guys because that's what James is going to do.
And, you know, go back to last year.
Yes, he was great with David Nujoku and Jerry Judy.
And those guys are great prospects.
That's fair.
What have they done without James Winston?
But don't forget, like Elijah Moore had some good games instead of Kilman was very good.
It does, as long as he's throwing.
So two games without Darius Slayton,
Wandoe Robinson scored 20 point,
and without Malik neighbors.
Wando Robinson scored 20.4 against Philadelphia
and 15.5 at Denver.
And he had 19 targets and six catches.
19 targets on those two games,
12 catches, both games.
Much easier sell on Wondale,
especially if it's full PPR.
But thinking about Nujoku last year,
that should lend optimism for Theo Johnson.
I didn't think of that.
Yeah, I just, Green Bay is really good.
And Theo Johnson's usually 30 or fewer you are, 35 or fewer yards.
I think he's been over that twice or something.
Right, but he could have seven catches for 35 years.
He could get seven for 75 last week.
Dave, talk to me about the Packers real quick.
Jordan Love, any interest in him?
No.
Unfortunately, I think this is a, if this is a get right spot for Green Bay,
that means that they're going to try and run the ball a lot.
But they will try some deep shots because they have to try and get Jordan Love back on track
and try and have that connection with Christian Watson going.
And this would be a much easier matchup for them to do that against if the giant
secondary was still a mess.
We talked earlier about some of the guys that could be back.
Paulson and Adibo with his knee, limited in practice.
Is there another defensive back that I wanted to bring up here?
Javon's back, Cordell Flats back.
Oh, right.
So the secondary is getting a little bit better.
I wouldn't care if it were a quarterback that had, like, demonstrated great passing.
already this year but love hasn't been able to do that consistently and certainly not lately
and so i i'm i would love to think that that's what the packers would do i just know that their
track record is let's run the ball let's let's keep it simple let's not attack downfield that much
okay real quick so you're kind of hoping for a big play from watson um dobs or watson you're saying
Watson.
I got Watson one spot higher,
but I get it with Dobbs.
Yeah,
I'll take Dobbs or JMO.
I'll take Jameson.
Dobbs or
a Seattle running back,
a Washington running back,
a Giants running back.
Dobbs.
Okay.
Any interest in Luke Musgrave?
There's just too many good tight ends right now.
I think he's still worth stashing just to see if you can carry two tight ends
because I don't want to use last week's game as the barometer of,
hey,
he's not going to do anything without Tucker craft there because the Eagles are great against tight ends.
This could be a surprise game for him.
So just keep in mind.
Looking at some chat questions here.
And there was one.
Oh, just Tracy or Singletary.
Who would you start?
Singletary.
I have Devinhire.
Okay.
He got some chat questions.
Let's see.
Wondale Robinson, Chris Rodriguez, or Tetero McMillan?
Wondale.
Is it a full PPR?
Half.
Wondale for me, easy.
It's still Wondell.
Blake Corm or Devin Singletary?
Singletary.
Yeah, reluctantly.
No politics, please, in your avatars.
Wondale or JMO?
Wando.
I believe I have JMO.
What if, Jamie, you say Wondale, Dave says Jamm, what if Slayton plays?
Wondale, regardless, to the moon
with Wondale if Slayton's out.
Wondale or T. Higgins.
That would be very close
if Dary Slaten is out, but I'll still go ahead.
Wow, I'll take T.
All the way.
Wondale or Quentin Johnston?
Wondale regardless.
Quentin Johnston.
Dobbs or Jawan Jennings?
Wondell.
Jawan for me.
Okay, and then
too much.
Sorry, I've got to go to the next one.
All right.
Oh, that was it?
Sit two players.
Sit two players.
Keenan Allen.
Too many question mark emojis.
Adam's brain couldn't handle it.
Yeah, I should be talking
Woody Marks more here because he's a good guy
to compare to these receivers.
I think I like the last two guys the best.
Marks and Franklin.
Wondale is the easiest one.
Oh, I got to sit too.
And Marks would be the other one.
Reading is fundamental.
I'm definitely sitting Keenan Allen.
I would sit Wondale.
All right, we got two games left here.
Start the Packers DST by the way.
and don't start James Winston.
Sometimes he's great.
Sometimes he's absolutely horrible.
Superflex.
In a super flex,
if you're a little desperate, why not?
Yeah,
I dropped Justin Fields for James Winston
before last night's game.
That was stupid.
San Francisco at Arizona.
Okay.
It's very frequently about pass attempts for San Francisco.
Do they throw enough to make Joanne Jennings a must-start guy
or Brock Purdy or Mack Jones a good start?
And with Marvin Harrison, Jr. out, are we concerned about that angle of it?
Plus, this has been a very good pass defense, Arizona.
So, Dave, how does the, we're going to start McCaffrey, obviously.
But how does the 49ers pass offense do against Arizona?
I wouldn't overrate them.
I've got Joanne Jennings on the border of a number two, number three wide receiver.
And he is my favorite one just because it's Pearsall's first game back.
And I don't want to sink too much into Pearsall.
So Pearsall, to me, is more of a number three receiver.
For an example, as an example, I do like Wondale better than Pearsall.
And I kind of don't love Wondale this week, at least not as much as Jamie does.
I think Kittle's still going to get his.
I think that's going to be the easy guy for Purdy to lean on.
And I think Chris McCaffrey is going to be an easy guy for Purdy to lean on.
I would be shocked if they put so much on Purdy's plate, A, because I don't know if they
have to, and B, because it's his first game back and they just want to make him, make sure he
gets through the game okay.
Arizona I mean they've only given up multiple touchdown passes in two games
Bryce Young and Daniel Jones are the only quarterbacks who did that
and Bryce Young threw 55 passes
Darnold had a bad game only through 26 passes
Jordan Love had a bad game
Dach Prescott had a bad game
Donald actually had two bad games
he threw 26 and 12 passes
so I don't know I mean
should I really even consider Brock Purdy
Jamie what does this mean you I know you like Juan Jennings
what does this mean for Jennings and Pearsall
I guess I'm just asking you the same question
I ask, Dave?
I think Pertie's just kind of in that group of quarterbacks.
And I may reevaluate it just in terms of comparing him to Tua and Marioda and
Gino Smith and guys with just great matchups.
And, you know, again, how much will they want him to, you know, have to carry this game?
And look, some of it is fluky.
Like if Sam Donald had thrown the ball more last week, he was, you know, probably going to
have a big game.
Didn't have as many possessions.
But again, they, you know, they do a good job of turning over quarterbacks.
And so I'm starting McCaffrey, I'm starting Kittle.
I think Jennings still is fine as number two receiver even with Pearsall back.
That's the one I were to be the most concerned about, like, how much is Pearsall going to do in his first game back?
Yeah.
So, you know, I wouldn't overvalue any of those guys, any of the second tier guys.
You know, to me, McCaffrey and Kittle are a different tier.
Any wide receivers in this game, you'd start over Woody Marks, including Michael Wilson?
No.
Jennings might be the only one.
I'd have to double check.
Okay.
Would you start Brock Purdy or Jacoby Brissette?
Purdy.
I have marks one spot ahead of Jennings in my PPR Flex rankings.
I currently have Purdy ahead of Brissette.
Brissette's one of those guys I have a tough time with.
How about the game in Spain, Mariotta, Tua, Purdy, Brissette.
Who's our favorite there?
I'm going to reevaluate that and put two ahead of him.
I have two ahead, but the guy that I might reevaluate is Brissette because he's just,
he has played well, and about 20% of his numbers have come from Marvin Harrison, but I don't
think that means that we need to expect a 20-point fantasy drop.
This is still the 49ers that don't have much of a pass rush, questionable secondary.
Like, they can be beat even without Marvin Harrison Jr. on the field for Brissette.
So he's the one I need to reevaluate.
The Niners have allowed
23.6 or more fantasy points
to a quarterback in five of their last six games.
That is Matthew Stafford twice,
Baker Mayfield, C.J.
Stroud, and Jackson Dart.
So some really good quarterbacks
in there. Michael Pennix was the exception
of that. He had a bad game.
But yeah, and look, he's already played one game
without Harrison. Harrison played about 20% of the
snaps at Indianapolis.
Jacoby was set through 44 times for 320 yards,
two touchdowns, and interception. He scored
24.7 fantasy points.
In that game, Tray McBride went berserk, which we expect to happen again.
And Zay Jones had a good game.
He's out.
So now Michael Wilson's got a great opportunity.
Greg Dorch has an opportunity.
I assume you guys like Wilson better.
Yes.
But Dorch is not a bad flyer.
Who's a better flex?
A Cardinals running back or Michael Wilson?
Wilson, if it's full PPR, maybe Wilson, even if it's not.
I may go, actually, I may go DeMercato if Zahneman Knight's out.
Yeah, I mean, if Knight plays, it gets muddy.
But if Knight doesn't play, you know,
DeMercato has been breaking off these long runs.
And San Francisco, they're 21st against running backs.
Right.
Would he, I mean, I think if Knight's out, I'm going to start Demarcato over the Giants guys, right?
Probably over Chris Rodriguez.
Seattle guys, yep.
Seattle guys.
What if Knight plays?
That it's just probably hands off if you can afford to.
to do so. Right. But if they're trailing, that should lend itself to DeMercado playing more
because they trust some more pass protection, catching the ball, passing down to work.
Like, that's been the role he's had. He had that role dating back to last year when James
Connor was healthy. Who is the number one wide receiver on the waiver wire? Parker, Washington
this week? This week? Yeah. Slayton, Washington. For me, it was it was Watson with the potential
of Dobbs being out and then it was Slayton after him. So if you had known, if you had known Marvin
Harrison were out.
Where would you put in?
He would have been up there.
All right.
Questions from the chat.
Pick a flex.
Oh, that was from last game.
Sorry.
Where are my new ones here?
Where are my new ones?
Can we start Ricky Pearsall this weekend real quick?
If he lays, like lays down on the field, probably not.
I think the nose trip got bigger since the last question.
Yeah, we're kind of, here's one.
Pearsall or Quentin Johnston?
Quentin Johnston.
How about Pearsall or Michael Wilson?
I'd probably go Pearsall there.
I think there's just more upside.
Purdy or Rogers?
Rogers.
Rodgers.
Purdy or Daniel Jones rest of season?
Purdy.
I'll say purdy.
Jones has two games left against the Jaguars, though.
That's the one good thing there.
Right, but the first thing I thought of was the two games that Jones has after is by.
And I can't start them against the Chiefs or the Texans.
Purdy still has his buy, too, though.
Pearsall or Monongai?
Yeah, it's not the buy, I'm word it.
It's the match.
I'm saying you're going to lose him for a game.
Okay.
Pierceall.
Ricky.
Debo or Michael Wilson, non-PPR.
Debo?
That's Debo.
Peerceal.
Oh, no, sorry.
Michael Wilson, Parker, Washington, or R.J. Harvey or Slayton.
Harvey.
What's the format?
It doesn't, it's got to be Harvey, right?
Yeah, probably.
Washington would be the only other guy
but if all those other Jaguars receivers are playing
i.e. Brian Thomas Jr.
and Breton Strange.
Like if those guys are back,
you can't feel good about Parker Washington.
So Harvey, it is.
Purdy or darnal the rest of season?
I'll go Purdy.
I feel like Sam is the answer.
Last two things here.
Purdy is going to be playing through a toe injury
for the rest of the year.
He is not going to be 100% healthy.
We'll see how that affects him.
Pierceau.
I love what we saw from Pierceau.
but he did it basically without Kittal.
And I hated his role.
This is a guy who had an A-DOT.
It was super high every single week.
They never threw screens to him.
They never, they pretty much never gave him any easy,
what we call layups.
Everything was downfield.
I don't understand it.
And it made for volatility.
So I'm hoping that things change.
I don't expect that they will, but I'm hoping for it.
Last game, Carolina and Atlanta, Jamie, go.
Start Rico Doudal, start Tetaroa McMillan in three receiver leagues, that's it.
Start Bijon Robinson, start Drake London.
Kyle Pitts is a borderline starter, and Darnal Mooney should not be started.
Michael Pennix has only started in Super Flex and two quarterback leagues.
I don't even think.
Pitts is a tough call, maybe.
Theo Johnson.
He's been bad in his last two games.
He struggled against Carolina in their first matchup.
I just think knowing what the tight end position is,
this is a guy you can pivot away from.
Yeah.
Bad track record against Carolina, too.
I've got him 14th, and I feel like that's way too high.
It does have a 20% target share or better in four or five games with a healthy London and Darnel Mooney.
So that's encouraging.
Panthers are 26th against tight ends.
You say you had a bad game.
This was just the worst game of Pennix's career, right, the first time they met.
True, fair.
Pennix was just horrible.
He's also not scoring touchdowns, too.
No, he's a low-ceiling guy.
He's got one end zone target all.
your Kyle Pitts, three green zone, four red zone.
He just gets a lot of short area catches and usually gets your eight-ish points.
Oh, one guy I forgot.
Tyler Alger is not a bad sleeper.
Agreed.
Chris Rodriguez or Tyler Alger?
Rodriguez.
I guess.
Let's say Zonovan Knight plays.
Did you go Cardinals running back or Alger?
If night plays?
Yeah.
I'd go Alger.
I would too.
I think I'd probably take a chance on Demercato.
Just, well, I don't know.
know about that. This could definitely be a game where
Alger scores. And Rego Dattle
is a must start. So you'd start
over Barclay, I assume. Yeah.
All right. If we have any questions
from the chat, I guess one last thing
on this game? No,
forget it. I was going to make a case
for Pennix because he has good games out of nowhere
and Carolina usually
is a good matchup. I think more McMillan.
Real quick on McMillan. Let me get some running backs here.
McMillan. We were
burned by the Falcons DST before. I
I certainly understand the trepidation to buy into them.
And again, if you look at how this first game unfolded,
clearly the Panthers' DST was the better of the two options.
But Bryce Young is struggling right now, and they're at home.
I think this is a good opportunity.
Plus, the Falcon schedule coming up is fantastic.
If you want to just look at their DST, if they play well this week,
you'll buy into them next week also.
So if you're stuck, not a bad pivot play.
And as for McMillan, he only has two games this year with Bryce Young
when he's had over 13 and a half PPR points,
one came in a game where Bryce Young threw 55 times that was against Arizona and the other was
this two touchdown game that was against Dallas and I think this Falcons pass rush is going to get
in Young's face and I think it's going to make it hard for Young. I don't know I don't see him
throwing more than like 25 passes in this game unless the Falcons just absolutely just like
crush them on the scoreboard in the first half. He only has one game with a touchdown. It was two
against Dallas. Yep. I heard that somewhere.
And eight PPR points for the season so far is eight PPR points for the first game.
Again, didn't have to throw very much.
But that's the worry.
There's no, the talent is there with McMillan.
I love watching him play.
But he's just saddled with a quarterback that's kind of inferior.
McMillan or Vidal, PPR.
I kind of.
I'd go Kamani.
I'd go Vidal.
I'd go whatever his middle name is.
Tedaroa McMillan or Woody Marks?
Marks.
Marks, London or Abuka?
Yes.
Go London, but that's tough.
I would go London, too.
Tucker or Alger?
Tucker, if there is no
Bucky Irving.
RJ Harvey or Teddaroa McMillan.
Harvey.
I was thinking Trey Tucker there.
Harvey over chat.
David Montgomery or Tedderoa McMillan.
There we go.
there's somebody that I would sit for McMillan.
I'd go McMillan and PPR.
And I forgot about,
I don't have a stat of the game,
but I have the alliteration of the game,
which is the pathetically putrid passing performances.
And just so you know,
Bryce Young has thrown for combined 226 yards,
no touchdowns, two interceptions in his last two games.
He has thrown for more than 200 yards once in this entire season.
And that is it for this game
and for the week 11 slates.
