This is fantasy football today from CBS Sports.
This is Fantasy Football Today from CBS Sports. What a play!
Can you believe this?
No, I can't.
It's time to dominate your fantasy league.
Off to the races and he stays on his feet.
This is gonna go the distance.
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie and Heath.
Friday morning. Happy Friday everybody. Welcome to fantasy football today presented by bet
MGM, the sports book born in Vegas. Adam Azer with Jamie Eisenberg and Dave Richard. I don't
even know what to start the show with. No game to recap. It's just weird. How was your
Thursday night guys?
It was lovely. How was yours?
It was fine. I started watching a movie called bad Moms. You guys ever heard of Bad Moms?
With, what's her name?
Yes, yes. Mila Kunis.
Yeah, Mila Kunis.
I've heard of the Bad Moms of comedy.
I know that there's like a whole stand-up troupe.
I know that Orly KG is one of those stand-ups as part of the Bad Moms.
Look them up. They're funny.
Yeah, it's a decent movie.
And then I fell asleep.
That was my Thursday night.
Dave, how about you?
I fell asleep on New Year's Eve
watching The Joker Part 2.
I just was gonna say I just saw that.
That's crazy.
All right, so you saw it.
Was it like way too musically?
It was awful.
Yeah, I passed.
I mean, I fell asleep.
I didn't like the first one.
You guys like the first one?
I thought the first one was interesting.
I mean, it was definitely very dark.
The second one was so bad.
Oh, wow.
So which player who we're going to talk about today is going to be the joker that, well, first of all,
anybody that's playing for a championship in week 18, your commissioner is a joker, but hopefully he
doesn't stab you on a subway and the, or shoot you on a subway. But I wonder who in week 18 is going
to be the big joker of all. All right. Well, let's get into the news and notes here. Anthony
Richardson still out. So while out of practice. So looking unlikely for Richardson against Jacksonville.
Josh Dobbs is starting for the Niners.
Kenny Pickett is injured ribs.
So who are you expecting to be at quarterback
for the Eagles this week?
Tanner Mackey.
Okay.
Bailey Zappi, because I'm Zappi,
is gonna start for Cleveland.
Both quarterbacks are expected to play.
We're expecting Tyler Huntley to start for the Dolphins. Drake May is going to start offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said the
Patriots are playing to win the game, but they're not exactly committing to
playing everybody the entire time.
But I think he's damned if he doesn't damned if he doesn't.
I think if they win the game, he's going to get fired because you won the game.
Why?
We want the number one pick.
And if you if you lose the game you just lost to a bunch of backups in buffalo you're fired.
So this is it's funny because i was unfortunately on on each on sunday morning last week saying all the colts defense is gonna be great and i'm always talking to on the show we have former
NFL cornerback Logan Ryan and he said you're making it just sound like the
Giants are gonna roll over and not do anything I'm like well I mean that's
what they've been doing all season and he's like you know whatever the front
office wants does not come down to the locker room because I could tell you
that firsthand and players want to play and win and do all those things. Yes. And so like,
you can sit here and say, Malik neighbors should have wanted to lose that game
because he would have gotten a better quarterback, right? No, I would never say
something like that. No, dude. If you're if you're taking it from a big picture
scenario, right? For him, it would be better to lose the game.
So for Drake May, it's better for him to lose the game,
in theory, right?
But he's gonna be on his second play caller
in as many years.
Players are gonna unfortunately want to play.
And so, you know, they're gonna wanna try.
Unfortunately.
Yeah, it is unfortunate.
How dare they?
I mean, it's unfortunate, but the good thing for the, the Patriots at're going to want to try. Unfortunately. Yeah, it is unfortunate. How dare they? I mean, it's not for, it is.
But the good thing for the, like the Patriots at least don't eat a quarterback.
So they, they don't have as much to lose by falling in the draft.
No, but you want to control your destiny.
Absolutely.
And the picks they could get if they trade the number one pick, you know, it's, it's
an enviable spot to be in.
Anyway, let's go to the running back news.
I don't think they'd get that much.
It's not the same type of draft as it was last year.
It doesn't matter.
Somebody will still fall in love with one of those guys
and want to trade them.
I don't think they'd get a haul.
We'll find out, maybe.
Aaron Jones was limited.
Justin Hill's out.
Justice Hill, his name is Justice Hill.
Chase Brown's gonna be a game time decision.
So that's an interesting one.
How much would you trust him
if Chase Brown plays at Pittsburgh?
I mean, if he's good enough to go, then I think you got to trust him. So he would be not in the top five ish for me if he's playing but he'd be I mean, right now, Tony
Pollard is my number seven running back.
Okay. And Tony Pollard.
Yeah, it's a bad it is.
Okay, okay.
I didn't know where you were going with that.
Will Shipley for the Eagles, he practiced in full.
He's been injured, I think, in the concussion protocol,
but he practiced in full.
We'll talk about that thrilling game a little bit later.
Could get Miles Sanders,
Austin Eckler's been practicing in full.
Not expecting Alvin Kamara.
Tajay Spears mispracticed. Tony Pollard was limited.
Amir Abdullah mispracticed again.
So we're gonna keep an eye on that.
If he's out with Alexander Madison, crap.
Crap?
Did you say crap?
Yes, he will crap our lineups.
Crack your top 24.
Yes.
By default, yes.
He'd be like top 20.
Bucky Irving was limited.
He should be fine. and Jerome Ford is out.
Wide receiver, I don't know who we're really worried about.
Are you worried about Josh Palmer missing the game?
No.
And even if I was worried about him missing the game, I'd like to think that I'd have
a better option or find a better option than Josh Palmer.
Debo Samuel, worried about him?
Yes, that's a far more significant one
to be worried about.
Darnell Mooney, limited with a shoulder injury.
Terry McLorin, missed practice, but he should be fine.
Christian Watson, missed practice, he may not play.
Marquess Valdez, scantling practice in full,
he actually returned last week,
he may not have noted because he didn't have a catch.
Didn't he get hurt and then he left again
with an injury?
Adam Tate Yep.
Trey Larkin Played like 76% of the snaps. But okay. But
yeah, he practiced in full. Jalen Waddle was limited. Chris Olave, should have mentioned
him with MVS, he practiced in full. Don't know if he's going to play. We'll talk about
that game later. And tight end, it's possible Dallas Goddard gets out there for a little
bit. I don't know. He's eligible to return gets out there for a little bit. I don't know
He's eligible to return this week. He's been practicing I don't think anyone's gonna trust it
But maybe they want to give him a little bit of run before the playoffs
Kate Otten was limited. So another guy we'll talk about in a little bit, but maybe he plays this week against the Saints
David Najoku is out hunter Henry was limited and Tyler Conklin miss practice

Let's go for a repeat this year.
I have a crazy Saquon Barkley stat for you.
So we had to do our top 12s at each position.
We had to send those into Jamie yesterday.
Did you guys have Barkley one?
No.
No.
Bijan one?
Yes.
I'm running back, yeah.
Yeah. So me too.
And Barkley is, unless Jameer Gibbs scores something
like 32, 33 points in PPR this week, Saquon
Barclay is going to finish as the number one running back in PPR. He's going to do that
with 33 catches. That will be the fewest amount of catches for the number one running back
in PPR since 2005. 19 years, Sean Alexander, 370 carries.
Taylor didn't do it.
Yeah, I was about to say, I thought Taylor would do that guy.
No, he was at like 40 catches.
Sean Alexander had 15 catches,
but he had 1,880 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns.
So Barclay's gonna do something pretty rare.
27.
That's a good reference right there.
Okay, all right.
Let's get into the games.
Here we go, Minnesota at Detroit.
Oh, I totally forgot.
This is obviously the game of the week.
So I'll pick something else as the other game of the week.
No, just get it over with for this one.
I'm not even gonna sing it.
Oh.
Wow, you are ready for the season to end.
It's the game of the week, yeah.
Oh, that's so depressing.
The Vikings and the Lions.
Actually, I'm pumped for this game.
Sunday night football, yeah.
Yeah.
Game of the week. Hey.
All right. Yeah, no, I am pumped for this game. Really exciting. 2025 question for each game
and starts and sits. Here's your 2025 question. Jordan Addison or Jamison Williams?
Jordan Addison. Assuming that I'm okay with whatever direction the Vikings go with at quarterback,
it's Addison.
I just kind of pencil him in for a thousand yards and seven touchdowns every year.
He'll be entering his third season.
I think their offensive system is going to be the same.
Jameis and Williams may be different.
So it's going to be very interesting to see what they do it and at offensive coordinator because the thought would be if if Ben Johnson goes to Jacksonville,
his offense coordinator will be Mark Brunel is the quarterback's coach. If Ben Johnson
goes to Chicago, then maybe Brunel stays and becomes the Lions offense coordinator. I think the Lions already have an OC in waiting.
I think, I think it's a guy named Tanner Engstrand.
I think we, I think we were talking about this on Sunday.
You might've been around for that, James, but I think that they let him call
plays in the, in the, in the preseason.
And he's kind of the guy behind the guy.
And so maybe Brunel is going with Ben Johnson, no matter where he goes.
No matter what.
Right.
Which I think is kind of smart for Ben Johnson, just to have some like former
players and older guys along with him.
And Brunel would be a good one.
Remember I, once upon a time, I loved the brain trust in Detroit.
Um, and Brunel I believe was a part of that. So now that brain
trust will move on to wherever Ben Johnson goes.
Well, this game is a gift for us in week 18, because there are just a lot of starts. In
fact, I don't even know if there are a lot of tough calls in this game. Which quarterback
do you like better? I know they're both ranked very high, but which quarterback do you like
better?
Darnold, slightly.
I've got Darnold one spot ahead of golf.
And the 2025 question I asked, I'll ask it for week 18, who do you like better, Jordan
Addison or Jameson Williams?
Addison.
Addison.
You know, it's funny, I was a little concerned about Jameson Williams last week because the
49ers don't give up big plays to wide receivers.
And they actually, honestly, he had a huge game.
They did a pretty good job against him.
He had a rushing touchdown and he scored on a 41 yard
lateral, which counted toward his receiving stats.
Other than that, I don't think he had a reception
longer than 12 yards.
I just want to throw that out there.
He's had a great season.
He's expanded his route tree.
He's definitely, you know, looked like a third year
breakout.
And I think the fun part about it is like,
this is kind of what we've been waiting for, right?
Because incomplete season is his first two.
Missed another two games this year as well.
So he's, let me see, he's a few yards away from-
33 yards away from a thousand.
What'd you say?
33 yards away from a thousand.
I think he's 49.
He's at 941 right now.
I've got 967
Oh, I bet you that you don't have I should never maybe before Sunday night what I'm looking at
Okay, what number did you say 926 941 941? No, I don't know what you're looking at
I've got like a whole list of milestones that players in every game
Are looking at and that's one of them. There milestones that players in every game are looking at. And that's one
of them. There's a ton in this game. There's a lot of cool things that can, that players
can achieve as far as like year to date numbers. And that's one of them.
So he's going over it.
Our top 20 for this week.
Yeah. I think Aaron Jones maybe is interesting, right? Cause the Lions run defense hasn't
fallen apart and Jones himself is, you know, he's solid. He's a good number two running back.
But I don't know. Are you are you?
Obviously, we're expecting a big game from Gibbs.
Are we expecting a top 10 ish game from from Jones?
I have is he how does he compare to Blake Corum and Michael Carter and Khalil?
Oh, he's well ahead of those guys.
I mean, for sure, I have those guys.
There's like Carter and Herbert are close, just because, again,
as I've been saying all week, the guys
that are playing with starters are a little bit more safer to me than the guys that are
playing with backups.
So, Coram, Gainwell, Ray Davis, those guys are very risky.
Carson Steele, they're all risky.
I think with Aaron Jones, the thing that's been missing is touchdowns.
So, like last week, Cam Akers course, he doesn't.
If he finds the end zone,
you're going to be thrilled about it. I think you're still starting him because he's got,
for me, like a floor of 11 or 12 PPR points without scoring. And I think he'll be involved
in the passing game. But you said it, the line's defense hasn't fallen apart yet from
a run defense perspective. I just don't know if they're going to hold up against this offense.
He's 29 rushing yards away from setting a new single season career high,
88 total yards away from a new career high. So a lot for Jones to get in this game. Plus,
it's obviously an important game and running the ball should be something that the, I think the
Vikings did a pretty decent job of it the last time these teams played. Lions defense clearly
has gotten worse since that early season matchup. And there's just a huge
opportunity for everybody to go off. But Aaron Jones, certainly is a top 10 running back.
How do you feel about TJ Hawkinson? Sam Laporte is a must star guy. The touchdown list TJ
Hawkinson, how do you feel about him this week?
It's first time facing his former team. You know, he didn't play in the first game. So
he's a top 12 tight end. Two of his last three, he's been over in the first game. So he's a top 12 tight end two of his last three He's been over 10 PPR points again, like you said no touchdown. So
He's he's right in that same range for me with John is Smith with Huntley
John is Smith because of Huntley
Chiggo, Conquo Tucker craft like they're all kind of in that, you know, once you get past like tight end six
It's kind of a guessing game. So or 10 at five at this at this point. It's kind of a guessing game. So we're tied to five at this at this point. It's kind of a guessing game. So don't love the setup. But again, if looking at the
bigger picture, if he gets me 10 PPR points, I'll be thrilled with it.
And that's what I think he's like good for. It's I've got him ranked as a top 12 tight
end. I don't know how you feel about the position this week, but there's just not a lot that
I can trust. Here's a tight end that should play a lot, but he's no better than third in overall targets, red zone targets, end zone targets,
explosive plays among his teammates over the past six weeks. So he's almost like a third,
fourth option for this offense at this point. I think you start them and you hope that he gets
you 10 PPR points. If you think that Mike Kosicki can just keep going on what he did last week, that's an easy start ahead of TJ Hawkinson this week.
But that's the range that he's in for me.
I wouldn't do that.
No, I wouldn't do that either. I think the thing that you're looking at-
Oh, I agree. But I'm just saying-
The thing that you're looking at, what we saw last week was the Packers early in the
game tried to take away Jefferson and Addison. And you saw a little bit more of Hawkinson.
You saw a lot of Jalen Naylor and the Lions will probably have a similar
approach, you know, trying to take away, you know, something that the Vikings have to offer.
It's much more challenging because their defense is so beat up.
So will Sam Darnall continue to lean on other spots?
Now you saw from the Lions last week and we've been praising their defensive tight ends all
season, well George Kittle still had a big game and Ricky Pierce still had a big game. So again, you saw a little
bit of a diverse attack from the 49ers, not necessarily just relying on Debo who they've
been featuring 16 targets prior to last week's game. And then Jennings really came on in
the end with Dops. Not that this is a 49ers conversation, but you saw just everybody involved
to a certain extent besides Debo. So I think someone will be left out here for the Vikings.
You hope it's Nailer as opposed to the other three
because the other three are gonna be, you know
certainly Ross started more leagues
and potentially started more leagues.
So I think it's just, it's an interesting game.
And for anybody playing DFS Sunday night, you know
they're all in play for the Vikings.
Yeah. And one of, someone from our research team
at CBS sports just did a great job highlighting
how bad the Lions defense has been.
They allowed 7.4 yards per play in December.
The most yards per play any team has allowed in December in the Super Bowl era.
1,738 teams.
They are last.
They have been 1,738 teams, they are last. They have been 1,738th.
That's how bad the Lions defense has been
in the month of December.
It is unbelievable.
All right, think about that when you fill out
your like your super, your playoff brackets
so whatever you're gonna do.
Okay, who do you like in this game?
Minnesota.
I'm gonna go with the Lions.
Their defense is too good.
All right.
We're going to take a quick break here.
J.K.
I'll come back and talk about Chicago at Green Bay 2025 question and starts and sits for
week 18.
We'll be right back.
Welcome back everybody.
OK.
2025 question for Chicago at Green Bay.
Jordan Love or Caleb Williams?
Caleb Williams.
Interesting.
Did you guys put him in your top 12? Yes.
I haven't done mine yet, but he will be close. Yeah. One of the things that I'd point out
about Caleb Williams is that he has basically the same amount of total yards as Bo Nix.
The touchdowns are so different though. So if anyone's considering going next to the top 12 option,
you shouldn't shut the door on Caleb Williams as a top 12 option as well.
All right, let's go to the game.
Well, they get the right coach. I mean, he could be amazing.
Yeah, I know. I posted something on Twitter during week 17,
I think during that horrible Thursday game.
He made a throw that...
He makes a lot of throws that maybe a couple of quarterbacks can make. He's just
got amazing arm talent. And I was like, I'm going to be
drafting a lot of Caleb Williams. And man, people were
not happy. They're like, he's, you know, they make a good
point. Like, you can't just look at the good. There's a lot of
bad too. But I don't know that people are going to be in on
Caleb Williams. If he gets a coaching change, like the right
coach, then yeah, maybe that changes. But we might be we might be higher than consensus on Caleb. My take.
All right. I would to see a competent play caller and play designer work with him because there
were just too many plays that I saw where it's like third and six. And his receivers are running
like 15 yard routes, all of them. And he's got no one to go to.
And that's part of the reason why he holds the ball for so long. And then he's sacked and he's
hit. And the offensive line could certainly stand to get better. I think the Bears will definitely
accomplish that during the off season. But a good, a brand new playbook with a really good play caller,
Ben Johnson would be excellent for him. And I think Caleb is what he is.
I think he's, I don't think he's going to be able to change his ways as a thrower. So
he's going to be a guy that kind of holds the ball a little bit too long, tries to play
Superman a little bit. And that's just something that it's a boom bus feature. Sometimes that's
going to hurt him. And sometimes he's going to make those wild throws the throw that you
might be referencing the touchdown that call got called back.
Is that the one that you were thinking of?
Okay. No, he was running out of the pocket and there he's got, I don't remember which
receiver was running in the back.
It's a right.
Yeah.
Oh yeah.
That's another guy who's going to be better next door, but he's, or he's
running in the back of the end zone.
And it almost looked like something that Adam, you and I saw from cam ward.
Yep.
Where he just, he has this great downfield vision to see these guys running and he hits them perfectly and the play is called back. So that's just one of,
certainly not a ton of plays, call it a handful of plays that he's made this year that your jaw
drops and you just go, wow, this guy can really do stuff. And then he's also had a bunch of
bonehead plays that makes you go, how could I ever trust him in fantasy. He'll be worth
the risk as one of those back half of draft QB picks.
Okay who do you like better this week Jordan Love or Caleb Williams?
Williams because I don't think Jordan Love will play a full game. Did you hear what Josh
Jacobs said?
Okay no I did not I was waiting for something on this game here. So yeah,
how we feeling about Green Bay?
So Jacob said he does not expect to have a very big workload. And I think it
makes sense, you know, so if they are going to approach this game, probably
with the intent of hoping to get the six seed, then they probably play all out,
you know, they have to win and Washington has to lose to get the six seed.
I'm sure they'll be doing
some scoreboard watching. So from what Jacob said, I just kind of feel like the Packers
aren't going to be playing four quarters of what they expect. I get you exact quote if
you want.
And it's exactly, I think I said this earlier in the week, it's exactly what Lefleur did
with his starters the last time they were in this position. He played his guys for a
half. Aaron Rodgers had some, half. Devontae Adams had some
goals that he wanted to hit, some numbers. He got that and they were done at halftime. Jordan Love
came in for the second half. That's how long ago it was. I agree. I don't think we should count on
any Packers. Unless you think they can do well in two quarters, maybe two and a half quarters,
don't start them. Just in terms of the running backs with Jacobs, I have
Herbert and Carter ranked ahead of him.
I have him ahead of the backups.
So he's like right around 20 for me.
Jacob, here's the coach.
Just being honest, being realistic.
I don't see me taking that many carries in this game.
Obviously I want to play.
I'm going to push to play and I'm playing, but I don't see myself taking 30 carries.
Now we've seen the New
Orleans game, for example. Remember, he didn't play very much in the second half at all.
Right, but he had a ton of touchdowns. If he plays a half against the Bears who have
a terrible run defense, I think Jacobs will probably score double digit fantasy points
in PP. Right. But not more than 15.
The two guys who kind of scare me the most from the high end
running back spots because they both have great matchups but probably aren't going to play very
much are jacob and nick so i wouldn't expect to see jacob's very much i won't expect to see mix
is right so it could be a quarter could be a half you know the the packers they trust their back
up a little bit more than the texans do at this point based on what we've seen so they'll use
wilson they'll use christopher brooks, they'll give those guys touches. That's
probably the approach. And if you're playing DFS, you want to take a chance on one of those
guys, I'd mean Wilson. But don't be surprised if you don't, Josh, Jake is very much put
to your point, Adam, if he in a quarter, he could still have, you know, 60 total yards
in a touchdown.
Alright, let's go to the Bears then. So if this is what we expect from the Packers are the Bears must start must start guys now
No
No, I have they're gonna be playing theoretically a half against backups. I just figured I mean
Yeah, I'd be okay with Keenan Allen. Yeah, the two receivers are still worth using but I more a little bit
Caleb doesn't crack my top 12.
Neither quarterback does.
Okay.
But the receivers have still been putting up numbers with Caleb struggling.
Last week was really the first time we didn't see that.
So would you start Deandre Swift or Josh Jacobs?
Jacobs, though.
Jacobs.
Would you start Josh Jacobs or DJ Morikine and Allen?
Mor and Allen. Definitely Allen. Jacobs. Would you start Josh Jacobs or DJ Morkin and Alan?
More now.
Definitely Alan. I think I'd start Jacobs over more if it's not a half PPR.
Yeah, I wonder if you're stuck if a do and say is a decent
option usually gets seven or more targets last week only had
four. And how about how about the tight ends in this game?
And how about the tight ends in this game?
Craft is in that low end number one group and nothing I commit. I don't even rank.
I forgot who Colt Comet was.
OK, he actually had a decent game against him the first time around,
but he's just so un-evolved.
So are you going to move the Packers DST down in your rankings?
I think Jamie, you have in six, Dave tenth?
No.
I might, but there's a lot of uncertainty
with DSTs this week.
But honestly, so far the only person
who has said anything publicly is Jacobs.
And it does make sense for him to come out
of the game relatively early,
because they have other guys there
and they're probably playing with the lead.
So if there wasn't an example of this two weeks ago, Jordan Love played the entire game,
or most of the game against the Saints. So it could be the same approach. They could play
three quarters and then they're up three touchdowns and he's sitting.

right, San Francisco is at Arizona.
2025 question, what is your excitement level
for Ricky Pearsall?
Oh, he's gonna be on my list of receivers to target
in the second half of drafts.
Is Debo there and is Ayuk ready to go
from the start of the season?
Yeah, big questions obviously.
I'm gonna guess IUC is there is ready fairly early,
if not at the beginning of the season.
Let me see what Debo's contract situation is.
But yes, Piercal, so like I'll probably do
Sleepers Breakouts and Busts right after Super Bowl,
first version of it, just for fun.
And Piercal will probably be on the breakout list.
It would be interesting to see this team without Debo
and with IU maybe starting the year on IR
and what that means for Purdy
and what that means for everyone basically.
All right.
I think Debo is gonna be on the team.
If he's cut before June 1st
or without the June 1st designation,
he carries a $31 million dead money cap it.
Okay. That's a problem.
Terrible contract.
Yeah.
So I believe and I believe he's got a void year after this year.
So he'll be a Niner in 2025.
I don't think it was a terrible contract at the time.
Do you I don't remember people saying that.
I mean, his his, his game is suited for that offense, but
this offense is evolving.
Oh, yeah, offense is evolving. Oh, yeah.
It keeps evolving.
Okay, how do you feel about the 49ers offense
with Josh Dobbs under center?
So he played two years at Tennessee with Joann Jennings.
That connection was pretty obvious
once he came on the field.
And he, I think he's also within a shot,
I may be off on numbers,
but he's close to a thousand yards for first time ever.
So I think he's the best receiver in this game
for the 49ers.
And there's a chance for him.
I mean, I'm sorry, he's my favorite receiver in this game.
So I'd start him over Marvin Harrison.
And he's a low end number two receiver.
So in the same range as like the Bears guys,
Keenan Allen and DJ Moore,
Kiddles obviously still a must star guy.
He kills the Cardinals almost every time he plays them.
And Debo, after what happened last week,
the fact that he's hurt,
like if you can get away from him, get away from him again.
Like it was back to being a disaster.
Like I'm nervous about Debo and Pearsall
just because Dobbs has not
shown the ability to consistently feature multiple threats. So you know Kittle will get his numbers
because they'll get him some easy throws. And I think Jennings will be the guy he leans on.
Jennings is 77 yards away from a thousand. Debo had just the one touchdown catch last week.
I don't know if Debo's going to play. And so if he doesn't play, that definitely kicks down the door for Jennings
to be a top 24 receiver,
Pearsall to be a boom bus flex.
We'll see how involved Kittle is.
But some of those past attempts
that Brock Purdy would normally make,
Dobbs will take off and run.
Yeah, that is a concern.
He doesn't consistently throw for a lot of yards.
He's had a few 250 yard games, but also a few games, not even close to that.
One thing about Dobbs, I'm just going to look, I think he probably led the NFL last year.
I'll confirm in five, four, three.
No, he didn't.
He was third in the NFL in tight end target rate.
He throws his tight ends all the time and one he he does not throw or you know, look, I, I don't
want to just make a blanket statement because drew lock was a guy who didn't throw to his
running backs and now all of a sudden he does. But Josh Dobbs did not throw to his running
backs very much at all. So that's something to keep in mind because horrendous had four
catches two straight games.
Yeah, but that's also this offense. He's been in the system for a year. I think he'll do. He may not he may not have four
catches, but I think three is certainly realistic.
Okay. So do you like this game from an offensive standpoint? I
mean, a lot of starts in this game in general.
The Cardinals are just still the, you know, tough to trust. It's
you know, what kind of game we get from Harrison, I hope what
we saw last week is, is the norm moving forward and the floor moving forward.
So he's a borderline starter in two or zero leagues.
He's definitely a starter in three or zero leagues.
You're obviously starting McBride.
Carter's such a wild card.
I mean, he's been nine plus PPR points each of the last two weeks with Connor being in
and out of the lineup.
And so now he gets this opportunity against 49ers run defense that has not looked the
same because they're just beat up So he's in that, you know
Mid number two running back range kind of by default
And I think for the 49ers like for me i'm still treating them as as somewhat startable options garendo
I think it has a chance for a big game here still
Um, but again, it's by default
So he's he's a borderline number one running back just because I know he's going to get touches
We haven't seen anybody else touch the ball since when he's been healthy. I
like I like Jennings because I think that's the guy that Dobbs
will lean on based on history and your kiddos a muster guy the
other two receivers for the 49ers I wouldn't want to start
if I don't have to.
Okay. So let's talk about Michael Carter since he's I
wonder if he's the most added player he's up to 12% rostered.
Not a lot like not a lot of spikes in roster percentage this week. But Dave, who would you start Michael
Carter over?
I would start Michael Carter over Deandre Swift, Rashad White, any Jaguars running back,
any Rams running back, any Broncos running back, any Bills running back.
I know that sounds kind of crazy.
I'm not big on nausea this week against Cincinnati.
I think Jalen Warren is finally, finally
starting to take over.
And I'm not sure what to make of Brian Robinson
and the fact that he's sharing with two other guys.
So I'd start Carter over him and PPR.
I agree with all that.
I would start him over Mixon and Jacobs too.
Would you start Michael Carter, who is by the way,
the most added player up to 11% rostered from 5%.
Damn!
Would you start Carter or,
how about like Keenan Allen, DJ Moore?
I think those guys are, the receivers are safer.
But again, you know, you're looking at what the,
the Arizona offense has been.
It's for the most part, when they've had to lean on one player, they've leaned on one player.
And Conor's in a different tier than Michael Carter, but there's really nobody else for the Cardinals right now.
And so he's been involved in the past game. He had a five catch game two weeks ago.
You know, Kyler's thrown to his running backs, which has been great.
I don't know.
I mean, it feels like this is a 20 touch game for Carter.
So he's still playing with his starting group.
It's different than the bill situation is different than the Ram situation.
It's different than the Eagle situation. You know,
so when you're talking about one of these backups stepping in,
he's got an opportunity showing you that he's done stuff in the passing game,
showing you that he has the ability to get, you know, you know, cut touches in,
in the, you know, the majority of the field. And so is DJ Dallas taking him off the field for significant stretches?
Well, that hasn't happened yet. So I don't think that's going to be the case.
He might for some third downs. We saw that two games ago. We might have seen that last
week too. I don't have it in front of me.
They did. Yeah, they split third down work, but yeah, Carter gets so many more snaps overall
and, and still gets catches.
Okay, would you start-
Oh, he's a top 20 running back.
Would you start him over Garrett Wilson
and or Devante Adams?
No, not there yet, no.
Okay, all right, Marvin Harrison or Garrett Wilson?
Wilson.
I have Wilson a few spots out of Marvin Harrison.
Marvin Harrison or let's say Flacco starting, the Colts wide receivers.
Pittman, Harrison, the other Colts receivers.
I have Harrison over both the Colts receivers.
Okay.
And start Trey McBride.
And I think we're done there.
If he scores, if Marvin Harrison scores, he ties.
Tell me if you've heard of these guys, Anquan Bolden and Larry Fitzgerald for the franchise rookie record in touchdowns.
And if he scores twice, he breaks the record that they gave.
And he's also 62 yards away from the second most yards by a rookie in franchise history.
One thing we know about the Cardinals, when they want to get a guy at touchdown, 16 games
later it will happen.
All right, Carolina is at Atlanta. 2025 question, is Drake London a third round pick?
He is currently wide receiver 21 per game in PPR,
but he's averaging 15 PPR points per game,
which is usually a third round pick.
This could been a good year for wide receiver,
believe it or not.
Is Drake London a third round pick next season?
100%.
No, I'm going to say no.
I think he's going to be just outside of that group.
What about you?
Would you take him to the third round, Dave?
No, not anymore.
Okay.
And Jamie, you would?
Yeah, I mean, he's going to be in the top 15 receivers, and that's typically when we
see that group go, especially after what we saw last year.
So I'd be very surprised if he's not a third round pick.
All right. In this game, do you like, who do you like in this game? Dave, just lay it
out for me. Carolina at Atlanta.
I think any Falcons players, I would suspect that we'll see a full game from all their
starters. They're still playing for something and it's Carolina that they're playing against.
So Bichon should roll.
London's a good start. Mooney's a good start. Their DST is a good start. That's probably where I'll draw the line. I'm not ready to trust Kyle Pitts maybe ever again and Pennex. Even on a
week like this, there's still too many other quarterbacks I'd rather start for Carolina.
It's really just Adam Thielen. Maybe Miles Sanders. If you're really desperate at running back, if he comes back in place, he's got that
beautiful combination of fresh legs and, uh, not a tough, not an impossible matchup.
Falcons don't allow a lot of touchdowns, but maybe he gets you, maybe he gets you
like 60 or 70 total yards, maybe get you a couple of catches on top of it.
They, They can't
go back to Blackshear and Mike Boone to fear their run game anymore if they can help it.
All right. So let me follow up here because since Penex taken over, I mean, Drake London's
got like a 32% target share or something like that, or target per route run rate has been
above 35% each of the two games. Mooney hasn't been great. He did have
five for 82 on six targets against the Giants, but he only had five targets at Washington
for 5.7 fantasy points. So put Mooney into context with some of the guys who talked about
like Marvin Harrison and Debo Samuel and Ricky Pearsall, and then no interest in pits even
with this matchup. Panthers are just terrible against Titans.
I just, I don't trust it. Even on a week like this, he's not a top 12 Titan for me. And
then Mooney's in the middle of the wide receiver three range for me. He's ahead of Debo Samuel
if Debo plays. He's ahead of, and this might be a tough call, him versus Olamide Zaccheaus,
him ahead of Brandon Cooks, him ahead of Pe. Him ahead of Brandon cooks him ahead of
pierce all I've got him ahead of the Packers wide receivers because of all
the uncertainty there and now we're throwing in that they might not play a
full game. But that's the range for Mooney who's eight yards shy of 1000.
Anything to add Jamie?
No, I do think you know, pits had a good game against them the first time. It's
it's not someone you clearly can start with any semblance of confidence,
but there have been, you know, some signs of life with with Pennex.
If he catches the ball against the Giants, which is clearly a huge
gaffe that turns into an interception in Pennex's first start,
that could have been Pennex's first touchdown.
He goes to him in the most crucial of throws in that game again
last week against Washington Washington scores a touchdown.
So with just the, I think the one concern would be is the Falcons need to win this
game, how much they just put it on Bijon Robinson and Tyler Algier and trying to
limit Penix from having to be a savior for them or are they scoreboard watching
and they see what the score of the bucks is and it's just, okay, Hey, you know
what, go air it out
Have fun and it's it's the Michael Penneck show in the second half which could easily happen as well
You know because that's you know, like a preseason game for them since they're done
So I wouldn't be surprised either way if pits has a good game. Like you said the matchups fantastic
He's a he's a great, you know, a lot of people play DFS week great DFS call because if he hits he could hit in a big
way, okay All right He's a great, you know, a lot of people play DFS week, great DFS call. Because if he hits, he could hit in a big way. OK, all right.
Let's take a break and come back and talk about Washington at Dallas.
And we'll be right back on fantasy football today.
Welcome back. All right. We have four games left.
The NFC home games, I feel like are better slate than the AFC this week.
Like more teams that we feel like are going to be playing.
Washington can lock up what the five seed with a win.
That's the deal here. Six, the six seed. All right, the five
seed is going to be the loser of Minnesota, Detroit. Right. And
the six seed will play the race. Exactly. They're going to be the
bucks of the rent bucks of the rent, right? We don't. Right,
right. Okay. Washington at Dallas 2020. I'm sorry.
No, no.
It will not be the Falcons.
Falcons will be the four.
So it will be the Bucks or the Rams.
Okay.
Oh, okay.
Did Terry McLaurin make your top 12 at wide receiver?
For 25?
Yeah.
No.
Interesting.
And they will most likely be adding somebody there.
McLaurin or Drake London next year.
London.
I will probably land on McLaurin, short of them landing somebody big to work across from McLaurin.
If they do something bombastic, then London would be the right answer.
Okay, so for this game, start Jaden Daniels, start Terry McLaurin. And is Zach Ertz an easy start
this week? Yes. He's a borderline starter. Yeah, no,
he's better than that. He's a start. Okay, so the last four
healthy games have been amazing. And he was great against them.
The first game time too, if I recall. He did. He had a
touchdown and I think six catches.
Six for 38 and a touchdown on eight targets.
Yeah, that's what it was.
Okay, Brian Robinson Jr.
Now, you know, you might've seen Chris Rodriguez
had a two yard touchdown run against the Falcons last week.
He had five carries in the game, Chris Rodriguez.
They all came on that drive and he had four carries in a row
which culminated in him getting that two yard touchdown run.
So I thought that was interesting.
Just happened, it was like his drive and he finished it.
But Brian Robinson Jr. is definitely tough
to trust right now.
The Cowboys, they're a fine matchup, not amazing, not bad.
But you know, they're fine.
Starter said Brian Robinson Jr., Jamie.
So he's right behind Herbert and Carter for me.
He's ahead of the other group.
I would start him over Jacobs and mix in just
with the uncertainty of what those guys are gonna do.
That will change a little bit if Eckler is active
just because then we're getting another guy
who's gonna get opportunities.
I do think, you know, there was a lot of love for Rodriguez
before that drive.
He was doing a good job on pass protection.
And they just seemed to like him quite a bit.
So the way I have it ranked currently
is Rodriguez is the second running back for Washington
for me ranked over Jeremy McNichols.
I don't know where McNichols stands in terms
of what touches he'll get.
But obviously, this is a game that they should be able to win.
You mentioned that Cowboys run defense.
When they first met them, Brian Robinson was my starter the week he got hurt early in the
game.
That was when he started to, I think, really show the flaws because I don't know how healthy
he's been.
He came back against the Titans and had the big game, then they went to their buy and
he hasn't been good since then.
So they also have been dealing with some offensive line issues.
Beardich their center has been in and out of lineup.
They should be fine now.
This is this is the Jayden Daniel show at this point though.
So I think if you're trusting Brian Robinson, you're probably just doing it by default.
He's touched on our bust.
If that comes back, he's certainly not going to be involved in the passing game.
So it's it's tough to say Brian Robinson is a safe running back for this week.
The last time he scored a touchdown was against Tennessee.
That was at the beginning of December.
He played 54% of the snaps last week.
And now here comes Austin Eckler to potentially, right, Eckler will probably take McNichols
off the field, but he could end up cutting into that workload even more for Brian Robinson,
who's not playing on third downs, clearly hasn't been scoring much.
Did play half of their four snaps inside the five last week. I wonder if they're slowly moving away from Brian Robinson, kind of like
Jamie hinted at. So I don't feel very good about.
I don't really see that if the Eklers back fine. But I mean, you're talking about Robinson
last week. He had what? How many carries did he have last week?
13 for 60. Yeah, that's a good game. And then you have six other
carries from McNichols and Rodriguez combined. So 13 out of 19. That's not bad. You'd like to be a
little bit better. But I don't think they're getting away. I think Rodriguez, like I said,
he had one drive. He had five carries on one drive. He just happened to score on that drive.
I don't know. That's my interpretation. He hasn't been running with the same explosiveness,
you know, since that Titans game where he looked awesome, you know, against the run defense at that point that has still been,
you know, holding up pretty strongly. I just wonder if again, he's healthy, offensive line
is healthy. Clearly Jay and Danos has gotten healthy, you know, when he was, you know,
banged up with the rib injury and now it's just completely dominating the offense. I
don't know. I mean, I think again, Robinson is just more of a number two running back
by default. If everybody was playing active healthy this week,
he would be probably outside of top 24.
He'd be like 30.
I have a couple of questions from the chat about this game.
Although it looks like I'm missing one.
I'll find it.
I saw one Brian Robinson or Rashad White.
I still go Robinson.
Oh, that's what it was. Yeah.
Robinson Rashad White.
The concern I brought up about Rashad White last week
completely played itself out.
He's being faced out of the run game
and if they're not trailing,
then he could have a terrible game and he did.
Here's, oh.
Okay, Hugh with your funny name.
Carter, Michael Carter, Brian Robinson,
Rico Dowdell, Devon Achan, who sits in PPR?
Robinson for me. All right, so that brings us to Dowdell, who H-Han who sits in PPR. Robinson for me.
Mm-hmm.
All right, so that brings us to Dowdell who you guys do like.
Do you like Dowdell better than Michael Carter?
Yes, I do too.
All right, you guys like Dowdell then, I guess.
They're back to back, but Dowdell's was notch ahead.
I thought what Dowdell did last week was pretty impressive.
You know, with everything sort of just crappy around around them still getting 100 yards rushing was was good and this kind of started his run was against
Washington when he had the 96 yards rushing
He should have had 12 PBR points, I think he lost humble game so he's you know Zeke is gone and
You know, he'll still lose some passing down reps
But I still think you're looking at, this is their offense right now.
100 plus rushing yards in four of his last five.
The commanders have allowed at least 16 PPR points
to each of the past three running backs that they've seen.
Question, Dowdell or Chase Brown?
Brown if he plays.
But I don't think it's that far away
because I just don't know how effective Brown will be.
Doudel or Aaron Jones?
I have Jones higher.
Brandon Cooks or Lamadei Zacchaeus?
Zacchaeus.
Agreed.
Zacchaeus or Brian Washington?
Who's Brian Washington?
Brian Robinson.
He plays for Washington
I might go Zaccheaus over him and Parker Robinson
Okay, I have one concern about Rico Dowd although the commanders give up five yards per carry So I do think he's gonna run the ball
Well, but he's not catching the ball a lot right now and the commanders happen to be amazing at this
They give up the third fewest receiving yards per game running backs.
This is also one of these games where if they have a lead,
they may start to pull guys Washington.
Yeah, they might.
All right, and Brandon Cooks,
did he even crack your top 40?
He's pretty close.
I mean, you know, again, eight targets were good last week.
First game without CD Lamb.
The Cowboys are talking about maybe not playing
Cooper Rush the whole game. So just keep that in mind.
Mm-hmm. Trey Lance. Yeah, Mike McCarthy was like, I think he tried to be coy on
that. Like I don't want to talk about it. That's my Mike McCarthy impersonation.
But yeah, Brandon Cooks is in my top. He's in Dave's top 40. If we're
concerned about Tucker Kraft not playing a full game, would you start Jake
Ferguson over him?
No, he's just been so bad with Cooper Rush.
Yes, he has.
It's so frustrating.
Like, okay, two games ago, gets the, what was it?
10 targets, nine targets.
Nine.
Had the 10 PPR points and he just, no touchdowns on the season.
Like I'm just
please get that back for Ferguson next year he's in a contract here next year
they can cut him and their dead cap hit will be under 200,000 so this could be
Jake Ferguson's last game and account I would take Ferguson because they've got
Luke's schoonmaker baby the Saints are at the Buccaneers by the way commanders
DST is a low-end starter Saints are at the Buccaneers. By the way, Commander's DST is a low end starter.
Saints are at the Buccaneers.
2025 question, Alvin Kamara or Bucky Irving, PPR?
Bucky.
Youth is served, go with Bucky.
Yeah, it's gotta be.
All right, here's a fun stat about this game.
Cade Otten is the only tight end to score against
the Saints this year.
How about that?
Is this a more or less start
them all, sit them all? Other than we're not going to start Rashad White, I don't think,
but is this list like a much basically start them all, set them all kind of deal?
You're starting Evans, you're starting McMillan, you're starting Baker, you're starting Bucky.
You're sitting all the Saints, yes. Our boy Mike Evans, 85 yards away from 1000
for the 11th straight year.
Yeah, he did it.
What if Olavi plays, any interest?
I think he'd be in three or zero leagues,
but it's still Spencer Rattler.
Yeah, I don't trust it.
First game back, backup quarterback,
and I know it's the bucks. Maybe for that reason
alone, you go with a lot of, I'd like him better in like a big tournament in DFS than
I would my lineup.
And again, up big, probably going to pull some guys off the field. And then there's
maybe some garbage time, but we've seen this situation for the saints two weeks ago playing
against back us for the Packers and it was still ugly.
Do you think Baker Mayfield throws a touchdown?
Yeah, he has a lot of incentives.
He will have 40 touchdowns if he throws one.
That's unheard of.
Maybe we could have talked ourselves into Baker Mayfield having a good year back in
August.
40 touchdowns for Baker Mayfield.
Holy cow.
Incredible.
That's another one to keep an eye on is does Liam Cohen get a head coaching job?
Yeah.
All right.
But I have to bring it up just because I have to bring it up.
Marshawn Latimore is not there, but Mike Evans has played six games against the
Saint against the Saints without Latimore and he's been awful in four of them.
Uh, I don't think this game qualifies.
Yeah, I hope not.
Um, would you start
Kate Otten if he plays like compare
him with Jake Ferguson?
I would start him over Ferguson.
Yeah, but that's not a
that's not a high bar.
I start dead so rotten.
Okay, how high do you think I would be on McMillan this week?
Top 20 receiver.
Do I have him that high? How high are you on McMillan this week? Top 20 receiver.
Do I have him that high?
No, I don't have McMillan that high, but I do like him.
Okay, yeah, McMillan or the Bears guys?
McMillan.
All right.
I've got I've got Allen over McMillan. Close call between him and DJ more in PPR. I do have more a
little higher. I think just the way Baker has played since Macmillan has come on Macmillan's
been such a huge part of it. And you got a little angry Baker. They make a pro bowl.
Interesting. I don't I think he's he's grown and has bigger fish to fry than making the
I think he's grown and has bigger fish to fry than making the pro game. So much maturity.
Bigger fish to bake even.
All right, Seattle's at the Rams.
2025 question, JSN or Kyron Williams?
Who goes first in PPR?
That's a good question.
I think it's Kyron, but I don't think they'll be that far apart on draft day.
You're going to hear me talking about this a lot.
JSN slot rate, it's like 77%.
And unless that changes,
you just do not find wide receivers that are great
for fantasy purposes with that slot rate.
I feel like Cooper Cup has flirted with 70%,
but JSN's got one of the highest slot rates in football. And that's just not good. But I
you know, rules are meant to be broken.
Do you think that's something that's changed, say in the last
like, five years, because once upon a time, there were a lot of
slot receivers who had monster numbers, and they played in the
slot a lot.
But I don't but that is such a high slot rate. Because people
used to consider Michael Thomas
a slot receiver, and he was never anywhere near that.
He was maybe like 50%, I don't even know.
Tyler Lockett was never anywhere near 70, I don't think.
And maybe like a couple.
Tyler Lockett is the name you pull?
I mean, I'm thinking about those Patriot slot receivers
from back in the day.
Or Fitzgerald when Arians was there.
Chris Godwin when Arians was in Tampa Bay.
So yeah, I don't think True. I don't think true media goes back
that far with their slot rate. I think it's like 10 years or
something like that. So I don't know. Wes Welker.
Well, I mean, I remember watching Wes Walker and Julian
Elliman, they were hardly ever out wide.
It seems that way. But but you don't really know unless you're
really tracking it. But I'll see if I can find it for
I would imagine Welker in Denver was probably close to that.
Let's see if I have anything on Edelman.
Okay, anyway, let's see, slot rate.
Do we have slot rate?
He had, I have three years of Edelman slot rate.
52.3% with the Patriots.
This is 2018, 19, and 20.
52.3, 79.2, and then it and then in his 59.2, 59.2.
In his last year, Edelman had a 73.2% slot rate and he only had 39 targets that year.
So no, so like he had an amazing year in 2019 with 100 catches, 1117 yards, six touchdowns. It's not amazing, but very
good year. And his slot rate was 59%. So I'm talking about like, you would not even think
for one second that Julian Edelman lined up out wide 40% of the time, but he did.
Oh, you're right. You know, and JSN 77% slot rate. That's crazy. This game, is this like
the previous one? Start all Seahawks at all Rams basically and I know they'll have some quorum questions
But is this how we're kind of viewing this game?
Pretty close, I mean Sharpen a is the start of the week. So he's gonna reward us in a big way, which unfortunately he should have last week
but yeah Rams gonna play a bunch of backups and
Gino has three pretty significant incentives that he is going to reach if he plays.
Just average so he's got the chance for i think five incentives that would get him ten million dollars but the three that are within range is not gonna get his career high touchdown.
What the three that are within range if they win the game he gets ten wins they get ten wins he gets two million dollars right now His completion percentages at 69%. If he has a career high, uh, which I'm sorry right now, his completion percentage over 70% is career high 69%.
So if he maintains his completion percentage as a career high, that's $2 million and he's within a hundred some odd yards of a career high as well. That's another $2 million.
Yeah. It's 186. That's so much money. Yeah. So I mean, like I honestly thought about Gino as the start of the week. Like that,
that's just so much on the line for, for somebody like $6 million. Like we see, like for example,
JK Dobbins, like we talked about yesterday, he's, he's got $150,000 bonus to get the 900
charge rushing. Like that's, that's pretty good.
Yeah. Yeah. Let me ask you a fantasy question. If you're the Seahawks and Gino Smith, because
we were talking about splitting the pot before
we went on the air today, would you say, hey, listen, we'll just give you a million.
Don't even worry about it.
Like, let's just split it.
Like, don't play.
We'll give you a million.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm going to go out there and like, we'll give you a million.
And Mike McDonald talked about it in his press conferences this week saying that he'd love
to get his players.
If it was, if it was, here's four and you sit like they could keep two.
It would have to be like 5.75 million.
He has six million dollars in incentives basically?
Yes.
So you're the C-Hawks.
A payable incentive I would say, yes.
So go out there and play, we'll give you three million.
Whether you get there or not, we'll give you three million.
You just go out there and play.
Right. I mean, he could, look, he got hurt two weeks ago. He gets hurt and doesn't get
the passing yards incentive and they lose the game. That's $4 million that he's lost.
Yeah. Wow. I don't think I'd do it. I think I'd gamble on myself if I were Gino. I'd take
$4 million.
I would guess, man. He's been doing that his whole career. Now, there are some teams when,
I don't think it's with incentives this high. When there's a player that's like
really close, like I'm thinking about like Deandre Hopkins and
his incentives, the team will still give him the money. And
they'll rest them so he doesn't have to sweat it.
I think I think he gets the game played incentive Hopkins,
because I used to do stand on the field and then he just
comes off.
All right, he can do that question. So so mech so like
Charbonne and and Gino Smith, the top 10 guys start him and
JSN is an easy start.
What about Metcalf?
You guys feel good about him?
So after looking at this incentive,
I wonder how much this played into Metcalf's targets.
Because completion percentage is huge here
and Metcalf obviously does a lot of stuff down the field.
Yeah, it's true.
Is he a top?
He's 61 yards away from a thousand.
Does he have any incentives working for him?
No idea, I haven't seen anything.
Is he a top 24 guy this week?
No.
Normally I wouldn't ask.
But okay, yeah, cause I mean,
you could get an easy setup here against Ram's backups.
Yeah, he's cool.
I mean, he's not a sit, but he's a number three guy.
He's in that group of like,
just outside the top 24 of like Marvin Harrison
and DJ Moore and
Trying to go as Michael Pittman like those those guys yeah, he's behind them for me, but he's ahead of Mooney
Alec Pierce
Zacchaeus cooks Packers. How about this Blake Corum or DK Metcalf?
Becca I would agree, you know, but the heart wants to take Blake Corum, but Metcalf? Metcalf. I would agree.
You know, the heart wants to take Blake Corum,
but the brain says no, DK.
All right, so Corum in line for a significant workload,
but not in the top 20 for these guys,
around 24th, 25th,
just because they have nothing but backups in, in theory.
And it's not a great setup necessarily.
All right, that brings us to the Giants at the Eagles 2025
question who you drafting first Tyrone Tracy Jr. or Devante
Smith?
Probably Tracy.
I'll say Smith for now because I would expect the Giants to add
another running back not necessarily like a premier guy,
but someone to pair with Tracy. Tracy can still be the best back there.
And we might be drafting Tracy out of Smith, but for now I'll say Smith.
Tracy is limping toward the finish line here. He scored some touchdowns that have kept him afloat,
but he's averaging like 3.3 yards per carry in his last six games. So it's not great. So anyway,
who are the best starts in this game?
Neighbors is, neighbors, I guess,
is the only easy call here, I would think.
Yes.
Unless you should-
And I think Tracy is fine to start.
I don't want to trust any Eagles players.
If there was one I had to trust,
I would assume that Will Shipley
would kind of be in the same boat as Blake Coram.
Just got a huge opportunity, but it's with backups.
And even though it's against the Giants, I'd still be worried about Will Shipley
having a big day. But Neighbors is in this race with Brock Bowers to be the record holder for
most receptions by a rookie in NFL history. He's four catches behind Bowers. And I wonder if,
like, you know, the swan song for the Giants, besides winning or for Dable,
I should say, is just peppering Malik neighbors with targets so that he can have like a nine,
10 catch lead on Bowers going into the late games.
Yeah, they're going to win. I hate it. It's so obvious they're going to win this game.
Tracy is top 12. He's right around 12th for you you guys. You start him over Josh Jacobs and Joe Mixon.
Yep. Yeah, I'm there.
And start him over Michael Carter and Harbert.
OK, yeah, yeah.
You cannot look at a single thing that the Eagles have done this year
and apply it to this game is going to be backups for them.
And the eighth pick in the draft for the Giants,
wonderful stuff.
It's Giants DST, any interest in the Giants DST?
Slightly, but it's just too tough to trust.
So, you know, DFS, yes, cause they'll be cheap.
Free draft, I would look at other options.
But not Drew Locke, no one likes Drew Locke?
No.
I got him as like 20th.
Okay. All right, wonderful. Is that like 20th. Okay.
All right.
Wonderful.
Good.
Yeah.
Are you happy about it?
This is exciting for Giants fans.
A winning streak sucks.
Gosh, they said you want to table back.
You want Shane back?
I don't care.
That's the thing.
I have it's apathy now.
I don't think I want Joe Shane back.
I think the drafts have just been too bad.
It's hard to justify.
Sounds like a guy ready to quit rooting for an NFL team.
No.
Point us on this side of the fence, Adam.
No.
It's beautiful over here.
What'd you say, Jamie?
It's just such a bad formula when you fire the GM
and keep the coach.
Hello, Chicago.
All right, I got some emails.
Fantasyfootballatc CBSI.com.
And this is from, oh great.
I forgot the name on the first one.
No, it's Sven.
Oh, hey Sven.
From Iceland.
Down by six.
Gino Smith, Mac Jones, Michael Pennex or Bryce Young?
Gino.
Terry McLorin or JSN?
JSN. I believe I have JSN higher. This is from Ryan. Gino. Gino. Terry McLorin or JSN? JSN.
I believe I have JSN higher.
This is from Ryan.
This is an interesting email.
I don't get a lot of this.
Started listening to the show in week eight
and haven't looked back.
That's pretty good.
I mean, we get new listeners,
but in week eight, that's pretty cool.
He's in a two week championship.
He's down by 3.7 fantasy points.
And this is his first play, first year playing fantasy.
That's cool.
All right, Bo Nix or Kyler Murray?
Nix.
I have Nix higher.
Camara, Jamison Williams, Ray Davis, or Deandre Swift at Flex?
Jamo.
And yeah, that's it. You might have to go with Ray Davis over Chase
Brown because Chase Brown may not play. If that were the case, would you go Davis or
Deandre Swift? I'd go Davis. Wow. All right. This is from Nolan. Ryan? Yeah. Well, he does
a Ryan in the greeting. This greeting is killing me. I don't know why I can't get this.
Oh, I think I got it.
Dear Ryan, Daryl, Roy, Mike and D'Angelo.
Oh, I definitely got it.
Okay, Ryan, Daryl, Roy, Mike and D'Angelo.
Williams?
I think it's the office.
Wasn't it? I just want Roy Williams, D'Angelo Williams. I's the office. Wasn't it?
I just want Roy Williams, D'Angelo Williams.
It's the office.
It's the office.
Who's the D'Angelo?
D'Angelo was a Will Ferrell's character.
I also thought we might have commander's cornerbacks there,
but we're going with the office.
Okay, leading by 15 in a two week championship, PPR League. One, I pick three of these. One of them
has to be a running back. So pick your running back first.
Ray Davis, Carson Steele, Blake Coram.
Davis, I'll take Coram.
And give me two more that Ray Davis, Carson Steele, Blake
Coram, Zacchaeus, Pearsall and Mims.
Davis, Carson Steele, Blake Corum, Zacchaeus, Pearsall, and Mims.
Corum and Zacchaeus.
I'll take Zacchaeus and Pearsall.
Okay.
This is from Luke.
Luke says, who would you play between Corum,
Khalil Herbert, Ray Davis, and Michael Carter?
One?
Yeah. Herbert. Agreed. And if Brown plays who would you pivot to?
Carter.
Agreed. And then Flowers or Jacoby Myers?
Kobe. Myers. Both close. What's the format?
I don't think it says. PPR it would be
Jacoby. Half Jaci, non flowers.
That was a reference, right Dave?
What are you talking about?
Very good.
Okay, this is from Maggie.
Maggie wrote us a very long email, so she gave us her entire lineup. If Chase
Brown plays, would you put him in over Charbonne or Brian
Robinson Jr.
Over B Rob. Yep.
She has Brock Bowers on her bench. She's starting Trey McBride.
Would you start Bowers over Jalen McMillan?
Is it full PPR?
I don't know.
than Macmillan. Is it full PPR?
I don't know.
If it's full PPR, yes.
If it's non PPR or half PPR, I might swing it toward Macmillan.
Well if it's non PPR or half PPR, I would start Bowers over McBride because McBride
has scored one touchdown this season in the air.
So I would go Bowers and Macmillan for, right.
And I'm looking at her bench.
I think you're good, but Colts DST or Packers DST?
Oh boy.
There's no way Jamie's saying the Colts DST.
He would rather take a zero than go with the Colts DST.
Okay, this is from.
I went to dinner last night with friends
and as soon as I sit down, it's a father and son.
They stare at me and they go,
so the cult's DST, huh?
And I go, yeah, they sucked.
And they were like, you're buying dinner tonight, Dave.
That one's on you.
I don't have an email, I don't have a name on this one.
Dave, who's this from?
Leo from Malibu, California.
Dear missers, missers Mooney, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs.
Everybody knows that one.
It's apparently Harry Potter.
Okay. Penix, Caleb Williams or Gino Smith? Four point for passing touchdown.
Gino.
I have Gino Smith? Four point for passing touchdown. Gino.
I have Gino ranked the highest. Pick a running back, a receiver and a flex.
He's already starting Charbonne and JSN.
So pick a running back, a receiver and a flex.
Jawan Jennings, Tyreek Hill, Jayden Reed, Olave,
Abdullah, Coram, Ray Davis, Rashad White.
You were done after the first two.
No, because you need a running back.
Oh crap. Abdullah, is it the other running backs? Coram, Ray Davis, Rashad White. You were done after the first two. No, because you need a running back. Oh crap.
Abdullah if he plays.
What are the other running backs?
Coram, Ray Davis, Rashad White.
So it's Abdullah if he plays for me.
If not, it's Ray Davis.
And I would take Coram instead of Ray.
And Jennings and Tyreek.
Okay.
This is from Cooper who voted for us.
Thank you very much.
That's cool.
All right.
He needs to start three.
He's up 16 points.
I don't have a scoring format here
Cortland Sutton
Tyreke Hill Drake London Jameson Williams
Starting three. Yes for me. It's between Jameson and Tyreke
I guess if you want to just go with the highest scoring game, you can go Jamison. I'd probably
still start Tyreek, but the other two are easy.
I think I'm sitting London, especially if it's not full PPR.
All right. So Jamie's starting Sutton, London and Tyreek. Dave is starting Sutton, Tyreek
and Jamison. This is from Mark Winters. And by the way, start Ray Davis over James Cook. Mark Winters says,
my biggest money league plays into week 18 on purpose.
I love the guys in the group so I can't leave.
Khalil Herbert or Breece Hall?
Herbert.
I think I might take Breece.
Start one, Marvin Harrison Jr, Quentin Johnston,
Josh Downs, Alec Pierce, Marvin Mims.
Just one?
Yeah.
Harrison.
Marvin Harrison.
Big Fred from Queens, New York.
Big Fred.
Sit one in PPR, Evans, Brian Thomas, Junior,
Neighbors, London.
I'm sitting on one.
Sit London.
From Nolan.
Another Nolan?
Yeah, isn't that weird?
What are the odds?
Start two.
Worthy.
Can't start him.
So start two of these three.
Pearsaw, Mims, Siqueus.
I'll sit Mims.
I will sit Pearsaw if Debo plays.
I will sit, who's the third one?
Siqueus who was? Siqueus, Mims, Pearsaw. I'll sit M who's the third one? Zacchaeus, who else? Zacchaeus, Mims, Piercel.
I'll sit Mims if Dibo is active.
And finally from Tim,
give me two running backs from this list.
Josh Jacobs, Garendo, Jalen Warren,
Antonio Gibson, Remandre Stevenson.
Sorry, give me names again?
Yeah, we're not gonna go with the Patriots guys,
so pick two of these three.
PPR, Jacobs, Garendo, Jalen Warren
Warren and Garendo for me
I agree
Okay folks. Thank you so much. Good luck to you in week 18. This is our last show until uh, monday
So we're gonna have our offseason content begin on monday and it's three times a week
We'll help you out with playoff DFS and playoff
challenges and those types of things, but obviously we'll spin it forward to 2025. We're going to do
some mock drafts. It's going to be great. Don't go anywhere. And yeah, have a wonderful weekend.
Good luck in your championships. See you. I really think we should be doing a show Sunday
night with Thomas just to watch him sweat that one out. I have plans. I have a tradition. I watch
week 18 Sunday night football with the same two guys,
two buddies of mine every year.
So keeping that going.
Are these real friends or imaginary friends?
These are real friends, but they haven't confirmed yet.
So they might be imaginary this year.
Guys, tradition.
And never mind.
I think one of them is in.
The other one's not really responding.
That's impressive.
All right. That's impressive. All right, later everybody.
