On September 19th, producer Jordan Peel asks,
What are you willing to sacrifice in a new horror film called Him
starring Marlon Wayans and Tyreek Withers?
Stay tuned to hear an exclusive trailer for the film right now.
Do I look at you or the camera?
You'll just look right at me.
You'll just ignore the camera.
There are a lot of people saying you could be the next great quarterback.
I can already see it now.
Cam running down a tunnel with crowd chanting his name.
I hear you've been invited to train.
with legend Isaiah White himself,
care to elaborate.
I want to be the goat.
Ah!
Cameron King.
Great me and you.
I'm a fan.
That's crazy.
I'm damn near worship you growing up.
Who are you?
Who are you?
I'm him.
Who are you?
I'm him.
Montau!
Let's play a little catch.
We go into the league!
You want to play at your highest level?
You want to be a legend?
Give it!
Let me tell you something.
It's in the game.
Who are they?
Just gonna toss the ball around a little.
You want to hit this?
You can't handle it?
I understand.
Suthan!
Oh!
Too slow.
Sinha!
Wait, shh, what are we doing?
That man smile about to be on the floor.
This is how you do your teammate?
What is this?
Set hard!
Evil notes, enemies.
Set hard!
Shut hard!
Shut hard!
And this game, violence is rewarded, so learn to enjoy it.
Get your shit together!
Boop!
Back to break by his...
Cam, are you okay?
Are you okay?
I think something's off.
You don't know what you're getting yourself into.
Now we play so football!
Don't have to do this.
I've never been more certain of anything in my life.
How bad does Cameron Cade warden?
I ain't a killer but don't push me.
I'm not just gonna give it to you.
You got to take it for me.
What if I say no?
Ron.
Think of it as a gift from the gods.
So what are you willing to sacrifice?
Everything!
This is fantasy football today from CBS Sports.
So what a play!
Can you believe this?
No, I can't.
to dominate your fantasy league.
Off to the races, and he stays on his feet.
It's just going to go the distance.
Now here's some combination of Adam, Dave, Jamie, and Heath.
Happy Friday, everybody, and welcome to fantasy football today,
presented by BetMGM, the sportsbook born in Vegas.
Ooh, breaking news.
The Packers are awesome.
Dave, are they going to win the Super Bowl?
They're going to win 10 straight.
great Super Bowls, that's how good they are.
Yeah, no, they're really good. They, they are a fantastic watch just from the standpoint of
their defense. For the second week in a row, they're, they're, the way that they schemed up
to take on Jaden Daniels was masterful. And they're getting great play, obviously, out of their
pass rush. But they're linebackers, their safeties, their corners, Keishon Nixon had an
awesome game. This is, this is rapidly becoming the toughest defense.
for people to start players against in fantasy.
Yeah, thank goodness for garbage time.
Zach Ertz, he actually wasn't really garbage time.
He had a big game, but Debo Samuel, would I call it garbage time?
I don't know.
Thank goodness for playing catchup.
Debo Samuel started in 59% of leagues,
seven catches, 44 yards in a touchdown.
Ertz started in 44% of league,
six for 64 in a touchdown on eight targets.
That's two touchdowns and two games for Zach Earts,
kind of picking up where he left off.
Today we have seven games to talk about.
We have the NFC home games plus Rams at Titans
and Seattle at Pittsburgh.
A couple of games that are AFC home games
featuring an NFC team.
We'll also talk about Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Minnesota,
San Francisco, New Orleans,
the Giants and the Cowboys, and Carolina at Arizona.
But we will recap this game.
Dave, I'm going to give you an easy question.
By the way, Jamie will be joining us shortly.
Easy trivia question for you.
Who said this?
It's the first time I've ever gotten over 100 yards,
including college.
I have absolutely no clue.
Oh, come on.
Who had 100 yards in this game?
Only one guy.
Who had 100 yards in this game?
Yeah.
Tucker Kraft.
First time, including college, he's ever gotten over 100 yards.
Really?
Okay.
According to him.
I mean, I was pretty sure about that for the pros.
I have no idea what he did in college.
But it's amazing how Matt LaFleur's vision
in January is now in full focus in September.
Two straight great games.
He's reached must-start status.
I had them ranked six among tight ends,
and I felt like that,
I feel like a heel for having them ranked that low.
I bet this is a good one here.
Kraft yak and cheese.
That's clever.
Because of the yak he gets.
He is a big yak.
Okay.
So we'll finish with our thoughts
on the commander's running backs
because Austin Echler,
I think we're all anticipating the worst.
He obviously has an Achilles injury that's been acknowledged.
No word on whether it's a terror yet.
But, like, we saw it, and it's not good.
So we'll talk about that last.
Let's talk about the positive stuff first.
What are your big takeaways from the Packers?
And, you know, also a little bit of a negative.
Can we even trust any of their wide receivers right now?
But they look like a well-oiled machine.
They do.
And for now, Tucker Kraft is their best pass catcher.
But you can start to see it with Matthew,
Golden. Some of the ideas that they have on how to use him, he was, I don't know how close he was to
catching a 32-yard touchdown in the first half. He needed to adjust better to that ball. And if he
does, if he fights for him or he's kind of waiting for it in the end zone and it got knocked
away, if he, if he, like, is more aggressive going after the catch, that's a touchdown. He was
targeted on a deep throw after that. Just timing was off a little bit with Jordan Love. In time,
you can see Matthew Golden potentially being a much bigger part of the Packers' passing game.
So I'm excited about that.
It stinks that Jane Reed broke his collarbone.
He's going to be gone six to eight weeks,
but that's going to open the door for Romeo Dobbs to get a couple more targets.
He had five in the game on Thursday.
Dantean Wix was getting work,
but I'm not sure if that's sustainable from a week to week thing.
I would say that if you've got Golden, hang on to him.
He's going to come into play at some point this year.
I don't think Tucker Kraft is going to get 100 yards very often,
but seven targets might be the case in the short term
until the Packers do find a little bit more consistency among their wide receivers.
And Jordan Love,
I think he's got to be considered a starting fantasy quarterback now.
Yeah, I mean, I was a little nervous because he was missing two offensive linemen.
And they had some penalties.
The line had a lot of penalties that kind of killed drives or they could have put up a much bigger number
than the 27, which is amazing to say,
the 27 they scored against Washington.
but Love is playing at a very high level right now.
So I think fantasy managers will be confident.
On the other side of the ball, any concerns about Jaden Daniels?
He's averaged about 23 points per game in two games against the Giants and the Packers.
And then Debo or Terry McLaurin going forward.
And I mean, just talk about the commander's passing offense here because Ertz has had two good games too.
I really did not like their game plan for Green Bay.
and they really didn't start to do more of the short and intermediate passing and horizontal route running until the second half.
They really looked lost.
It looked almost like they were in preseason mode to start the game.
And obviously, some of that has to do with how Green Bay's defense was performing.
Again, their secondary does a great job of matching up with the receivers that are out there running routes.
And it's just great seeing.
They can make every offensive line look stupid with four pass rushers.
They don't need to blitz every single down in distance.
I would like to see Jane Daniels against inferior competition before I start to worry about him.
I think we should feel lucky with what he gave us last night and you're still starting him.
Maybe it's not with the same sort of excitement as when we drafted him, but I'd like to see him run a little bit more.
I mean, that's part of the reason why we have them on our fantasy teams and why we expect huge numbers from him.
And he didn't really get a chance to do a ton of that in this game.
I think he turned down chances to run against Green Bay's defense.
That kind of worries me a little bit.
Some of his decision making, some of the throws that he made, that worries me a little bit.
But it's not enough to make me say, okay, I have to get another quarterback.
I have to go pick up, you know, Daniel Jones or Michael Pennix off the waiver wire and have those guys on my bench just in case Daniels gets worse.
I'm not there yet.
He's fine.
Who?
Daniels.
I mean, yeah, but I mean, you kind of wish that he had, you know, 40 yards rushing.
Well, he rushed for 70-something yards in the first.
first game, you know, he, 68 rushing
yards against the Giants. So what did the Packers
do? We need more of that, though, and we didn't get that against
Green Bay, and it just, it seemed, it seemed
like something was awful with him. It's in my
opinion, it was the Packers, as they
said on the broadcast, they played zone defense.
They did. Most of the game,
and what does that do? Zone defense, you're watching
the quarterback. Man defense, you have your back to
the quarterback, so a little more susceptible
to runs. And as you said,
they got pressure with four. They had a
49% pressure rate, which is
extremely high, and they had a 23
3.5% blitz rate, which is not high
at all. So you're getting pressure with four.
And you've got your linebackers out
there to stop the run. So I just think it was
a bad matchup. And he's still
against the defense that so far looks really, really good.
Jay and Daniels still scored 23.7 fantasy
points. But you didn't draft him
to get 23.7 fantasy points.
But we're fine. Okay. But that's the point
is that you've got to hope for better days ahead
for him. And they'll be there.
He's got Las Vegas next week. He's got Atlanta
after that. I bet we
see a couple of like 27 28 point games. Debo or McLaren rest of season. It's still McLaren.
I love that he had nine targets. I wish that he had caught more of them, of course.
But the timing is starting to get there between him and Jane Daniels. And it's just like what we
talked about before the season started is he's going to need time to ramp up because he didn't really
have a training camp. I'm telling you, McLaren's going to be fine. He's a by-low candidate.
Zacharitz, do you buy that he's going to be a start worthy starting tight end rest of
season? Yeah, I mean, he's in that range. Another tight end that I had ranked too low this week
just because I wasn't sure about how many targets he would end up getting. And the fact that he caught
a touchdown is what made his stat line awesome. Do I think he's going to score a touchdown every
week? Of course not. So he's on that border of being a top 12th tight end. All right. Now we've got to
talk about Austin Eccler. And by the way, you're still starting Debo. Until
further notice is at least a PPR flex.
We've got to talk about Austin Echler and the running backs here.
It was McNichols who came in for him late in the game, but, you know, they're trailing.
I don't think you're going to see Kroski Merritt come in when it's an obvious passing
situation.
But what is the impact, in your opinion here on the commander's running backs?
They need somebody who can play on passing downs.
I don't think Kroski Merritt is anywhere close to being ready for that.
I think Rodriguez might be able to do some of that, but I bet they trust McNichols in that role.
and so you're it could get ugly could get like you know a messy three way type of situation at running back where crossey merit starts but on passing downs it could be McNichols and then Rodriguez is sprinkled in until they find somebody that they really feel comfortable with as a feature back and i don't know if they will this year i think that's what we're going to see it makes me nervous about starting any of them as anything more than like well merrit is
the only one that you'll start is like maybe a flex next week against Las Vegas.
Well, looking at the five games that Echler missed last year, it was a big boost for Brian
Robinson, Jr. I think you said in terms of his catches, I remember you saying in the preseason,
but just in terms of the routes he ran, he ran a lot more routes. He split passing down work
with usually McNichols, sometimes with Chris Rodriguez, who I think will probably be active going
forward, I would think.
I would think.
So this really did help Brian Robinson.
He even played on third downs in a way that he wasn't doing when Austin Eckler was
playing.
He didn't play exclusively on third downs, but let's see, it was weeks four and then 13 through
17.
So he had three catches in week four, then one, three, two, and two.
So that's four, eight, that's 11 catches.
How many catches did he have total?
He had 11 catches in five games without Austin,
last year. Maybe you can look up how many he had in total.
But I don't see how this doesn't increase the workload in some capacity for
Jacori-Crossi-Marit, even if it's just carries.
He was split in carries.
I mean, I hate to say it in such a callous way, but this is good for, this is good
for Crosky Merit, right?
To the extent that he would have in the neighborhood of 10 to 15 carries per game,
depending on how the game goes, sure.
I think they have no choice, but they give this guy more work.
It may not happen immediately.
They better be right about him.
Yeah, but they may not happen immediately, but he's got to, look, Rodriguez is inactive on game day.
He's a healthy scratch.
Obviously, they like him better than him.
Of course.
He's their best running back right now.
You'd think best guy running the football.
Right.
Yeah.
I mean, you could even see flashes of it in Thursday's game where he just has good downhill speed.
It's kind of egregious that they didn't use him more in the first half.
Agreed.
All right.
So we'll talk about that.
He didn't have, he didn't have a touch in the first quarter.
McLaurin didn't have a touch in the first quarter.
Warren didn't have a touch in the first quarter, and Debo didn't have a touch in the first quarter.
Now, they didn't have the ball that much in the first quarter, but it's, it's kind of, it's just another thing that makes me nervous about Cliff Kingsbury and what's he thinking?
Like, why don't you get these playmakers involved right off the bat instead of throwing to Noah Brown?
Well, I mean, that's, he's not the one throwing the passes, but your point, your point is taken.
The plays are designed to go to these guys.
they're taking away all these guys?
Well, we'll talk on Tuesday with the waiver about waiver wire
about who to pick up Romeo Dobbs,
35% might be a popular ad.
He plays the most of the wide receivers.

All right, news and notes.
We know Brock Purdy's out.
Mack Jones will start at New Orleans.
James Cook practiced in full.
So, looks like I wasted some fab on Ray Davis.
Quinchon, but no, get him in.
He's a good handcuff.
Quint John Judkins practiced in full.
You guys are not ranking Quid John Judkins yet, are you?
Not yet.
And even if he were cleared to play,
I'm not sure that we'd feel good about starting him.
By the way, thank you to our producer,
our Friday producer, Josh.
Brian Robinson, Jr. had 20 catches all season,
and 11 came in those five games without Austin Echler last year.
So that's a good note.
Let's see.
Christian McCaffrey practice in full.
Jalen Wright for the Dolphins was.
limited in practice.
How about the Bucks News, Dave?
Chris Godwin and Trent and,
Tristan Worst.
That's his name.
Back at practice,
almost certainly not going to play this week.
But encourage that maybe we might see Godwin
a little earlier than we thought.
Sure.
I'm real curious to learn about how he's looked in practice
and certainly going to take a look at how he plays
once he does get back on the field.
If you've got Godwin on your bench,
keep him on your bench.
I don't think he's someone that you try and trade for yet.
Xavier Worthy does not need surgery.
Could be back in a couple of weeks,
and Jalen Royals continues to mispractice.
There's a lot of this stuff I repeat from yesterday.
Drake London expected to play Darnell Mooney Limited.
Joanne Jennings missed practice again.
And it looks like Wondell Robinson's going to play.
Brock Bowers, though, this was their first practice.
Yesterday was their first practice of the week
because they have the Monday game,
one of the two Monday games against the Chargers.
He missed practice.
And I don't think we can just say
he's certainly going to play Brock Bowers.
Yeah, hopefully.
I would be nervous if he misses practice on Friday.
Yeah.
Isaiah likely mispractice.
He's probably not going to play.
Evan Ingram should be good.
And Dallas Goddard still not practicing.
Trent Williams mispractice.
It is unbelievable how injured the 49ers are.
And by the way,
Trent Williams, who for a while has been considered
one of the best, if not the best offensive linemen
left tackles in football.
ball. He got awful grades from PFF in week one. That line struggled. And left
guard Ben Bartch is dealing with an injury. So he said that the 49ers have just so many
injuries as they get ready to face the Saints. Taylor Decker, left tackle for the Lions. He's
expected to play. Andrew Thomas, questionable. We mentioned the Rams have had three
offensive linemen that are beat up, two of them that are week to week.
Morgan Moses for the Patriots is banged up.
The Dolphins have offensive line injuries.
The Texans.
The Saints, they're optimistic about left tackle,
I think right tackle, Talise Fuaga.
I don't know which tackle he is.
Middle tackle.
Left tackle, thank you.
Optimistic about him playing.
And Tampa Bay right tackle, Luke Gaddaqui, missed practice.
On defense, Sauce Gardner was limited.
Dallas cornerback, Duran Blan,
could be out several weeks with a foot injury.
Jacksonville linebacker Foye Oluacoon, all you IDPers know him.
He missed practice.
Let's see, Jalen Johnson practiced in full, so he's probably going to play.
But Kyler Gordon, another cornerback for the Bears.
He's been missing practice, and so has defensive tackle Grady.
Jarrett.
Joey Porter, Jr., best corner for the Steelers.
He missed practice.
They're going to already be without Derek Harmon, a defensive tackle, a rookie,
and safety to Sean Elliott.
So things could be a little bit easier for the Seahawks offense there.
Buffalo defensive tackle Ed Oliver has an ankle injury.
That's a big one to keep an eye on.
and Christian Gonzalez continues to miss practice for the Patriots.

One question for each game. Chicago's at Detroit. How many wide receivers are you?
you starting in this game?
St. Brown for sure.
Javante Williams, I like.
He's at minimum of flex,
if not a low-end number two wide receiver.
Who?
Jameson.
Hold on,
let me have a little coffee.
That'll help me.
Okay.
Ice caught.
So J-M-O's your...
Is your second favorite receiver in this game?
Well, if I'm saying Javante Williams,
then I don't know who the hell I'm going with.
I'm sorry about that.
Jameson Williams is going to be my second favorite.
I think I have more over O'Donzee in full PPR
and a Dunezay over more and half and non-PPR.
Those guys are flexes.
Okay.
Atlanta's at Minnesota.
Do you like a quarterback or a tight end in this game?
Well, Javante Williams is certainly.
I kind of like J.J. McCarthy against Atlanta.
I'm not convinced that the Falcons pass rush is that much.
much better.
So I'm kind of, I'm, I liked what I saw from him in the fourth quarter.
And I wonder if the Vikings can build on that and they might need to because this could
end up being a decently high scoring game.
So McCarthy's in play for me as a maybe start.
Pennix, I think is, is a maybe start as well if he's got Darnell Mooney back.
And it seems like Drake London's okay.
He's been practicing this week.
So I feel okay about him, but I like McCarthy a little bit more.
I don't love Pitts if Mooney is playing.
and I don't love T.J. Hawkinson, but he is startable.
Okay, yeah, the Mooney injury obviously is going to determine how we feel about Kyle Pitts, as Dave just mentioned.
Would you start J.J. McCarthy or Baker Mayfield.
Baker.
Trevor Lawrence at the Bengals or McCarthy against the Falcons.
I have Trevor higher.
Patrick Mahomes.
or they're actually back to back to back to back to back in my rankings baker
Lawrence Mahomes yes they are I'm sorry about that I hate when I do that well why do
why do you hate that when I ask you you know this guy this guy in their back to back
you know it's kind of like it's kind of a toss up right but at least you're not asking
me J.J. McCarthy or Daniel Jones or you know Spencer Ratt
You're asking legit questions.
Who cares if they're back to back?
Yeah, okay.
Well, thank you.
As long as I got an answer.
I needed that pick me up.
Oh, who's next here?
We got Los Angeles at the Titans.
The Rams at the Titans.
Titans are an empty home game?
So I'm glad you asked.
I mean, I'm not really glad you asked, but I'll field this question.
So I have to do, when there's a full week,
eight games on Thursday, seven games on Friday.
Because I know we have on Friday, we have to recap the Thursday game.
so I always do one fewer game on Friday.
We didn't have an equal amount of AFC and NFC home games this week.
We had a lot more AFC home games than we had NFC home games.
So I wasn't going to have 10 games on Thursday and five games on Friday to preview.
So that's why I took two games that involved an NFC team and moved them to the Friday show.
So we're really disappointing people who were hoping to hear about the Rams Titans game on Thursday's show.
Right.
because they didn't get to hear that much about them.
Okay, go ahead.
What's your one question for that game?
Do you think we get bouncebacks from Devante Adams and Calvin Ridley?
Yeah, I think we do.
I think it's going to be an easier matchup for Ridley.
Certainly because the Rams play a lot more zone than man defense,
I think that'll help Ridley find space to get open.
And I still believe that he's got good timing and chemistry with Cam Ward.
There was nothing in the game last week to make me think that that wasn't a thing.
I like that he had eight targets in the game.
I like that Devante Adams was involved in the offense for the Rams.
It was a tough matchup against Houston.
Titans are going to be a sneaky tough matchup, too.
But I think that Devante Adams can win against them.
And I would start him as a number two wide receiver.
I like Adams more than Ridley.
They are not back to back in my rankings.
Yeah.
Do you like Adams more than Jameson Williams?
I do have Adams one spot ahead of James and William.
Do you like Adams better than Giovante Williams?
Yes, regardless of form.
Actually, obviously, I'm going to start.
I'm starting Javante in it, I think, at least two leagues this week.
You can see it, you know, and we'll have a question about him shortly.
San Francisco at New Orleans, Ricky Pearsall or Chris Olavet?
It's Pearsall.
He's got a huge opportunity.
It's just with Mack Jones throwing to him.
Had a little debate about this on our show on Sports Network about how, what should be
for Ricky Pearsall because on one hand, he's going to, he should theoretically get a lot of
targets. I mean, he's the healthiest receiver that the 49ers have. And we know that Mack Jones,
what we saw from him last year with Brian Thomas Jr., he loves to just spam targets to his number
one guy. It makes sense. It's what he did last year. I don't know if he's going to do that in this
game. We know what the track record is of receivers with Kyle Shanahan, but circumstances might alter
that. And so Pearsall is still a good start. I'd call him a flex.
at minimum, wouldn't want to necessarily say that he's a must-start type of wide receiver
because if we know he's going to get a lot of targets, the Saints are going to know that he's
going to get a lot of targets.
And it's going to be pretty easy for them to keep a safety over the top of Pierceall so he
doesn't beat them deep.
And it is a downgrade of quarterback no matter how you slice it.
And if the offensive line is a mess, if Trent Williams ends up not playing or if he's at
70%, that's going to put more pressure on Mack Jones.
And we've seen him when he's under pressure, he's not very good.
just like most quarterbacks.
And so I've got Pearsall ranked as a flex.
I would start them over Olave.
They could both get in the neighborhood of eight to ten targets in the game.
Giants of Cowboys rank these three players.
Tyrone Tracy Jr., Javante Williams, George Pickens.
Well, certainly Jameson Williams at the top of that list.
All right, enough of that.
I think Pickens and Javante are close.
I kind of like Javante because of the matchup.
I think he's going to get some opportunities just overall because the Giants will be not necessarily competing offensively.
I know the Cowboys defense losing Dron Bland is a problem.
I think Javante is a decent start at running back.
He'll catch the ball a little bit.
I'm going to give him the knot over Pickens just by a little bit.
Pickens is next and then Tyrone Tracy third.
The Giants allowed the second most rushing yards before contact per carry in week one.
they got plowed by the commander's offensive line
and I've now seen the commander's offensive line
against a good defense and it didn't really hold up
so I do think that's partially a Giants are bad stat
and it could be a successful game for Javante Williams
obviously he's not I mean I'm not like super jazz to start him
but the Cowboys beat the Giants
13 times in a row Dak Prescott has beaten the Giants
so you got him what I don't
I think I want to
change my mind.
Okay.
I think I'd rather start Pickens.
Pickens.
I just,
I don't know if I have it in my guts to start Giovante Williams with a high amount
of confidence.
Okay,
but I'm starting him over Tracy.
I'll start him over Tracy as well.
I just,
I'm just,
I'm really worried about the giants holding up their end of the bargain in this
game and the Cowboys not having to throw that much.
But at the same time,
there should be opportunities for Pickens.
So if it's full PPR,
I think Pickens is the answer,
not Javante.
All right.
Seattle's at Pittsburgh.
Who's your favorite running back in this game?
Do I?
You know who it is?
It's Zach Charbonnet, who seems like the best running back for Seattle right now.
The only encouraging thing that I saw from Kenneth Walker last week was straight line speed.
He's got that.
But anytime he had to cut, I talked about this earlier in the week, it just took him a while to like plant and go.
And that makes me wonder if he's really not close to 100% with that foot.
We know that Zach Charbonnet had more carries.
certainly more playing time
and played on third downs
and I think he led the way
on short yardage carries.
I have to double check my notes on that.
But I'd rather start him than Kenneth Walker
and I'd rather start Charbonnet over Jalen Warren.
How about Charbonnet versus Giovante and Tracy?
I've got Charbonnet ahead of both of those guys.
Oh, wow. Interesting.
Okay.
Carolina at Arizona,
how much do you like Kyler Murray this week?
I don't love him.
He's startable, but I think I'd rather go with McCarthy.
Certainly would rather go with Baker, Lawrence, and Mahomes.
Okay.
23 points-ish from Jaden Daniels last night.
Do you think Kyler-Marie beats that?
Six point for passing touchdown?
No.
I think he falls just short.
All right.
Now we'll do the deep dive into the game.
Chicago's at Detroit.
Start of the game from 2024.
That probably doesn't mean much, but hey, let's hear it anyway.
In 2024, only two wide receivers.
scored more than 12.3 PPR fantasy points against the Bears with fewer than seven targets.
You basically had to get seven or more targets to be good against the Bears last year.
I'm just, why not?
Okay.
Are you buying, because Jamie seems kind of all in on this idea, golf's start of the week,
that the lions come out and just look like the lions again.
What do you think?
It's a little bit of hope.
Because I just, I hated the way that they ran their offense last week against Green Bay.
But again, we've now seen the Packers twice and their defense has just lights out.
So I am hoping that the Lions adjust and that they are playing much better for what the bears are going to throw at them.
And it's, it's nowhere near as good of a defense.
Their pass rush isn't as good.
If their secondary is beat up, that's going to help them all the better.
I think we do see a bounce back game, particularly.
from Gibbs and St. Brown, but I think you'll also see some chunk plays from
Jameson Williams. And I think you'll see David Montgomery score too. Three games in his
career against the Bears, at least 10 PPR points in each. That's a safe floor. 14 plus
PPR points in two of the three. It's Montgomery. That's David Montgomery. Montgomery or
Swift? I'd start Montgomery. What do you? Why? Why?
do you like them both i like them both they're both number two running backs i just i continue to
be sort of mystified by what i see from dandre swift and the lanes that he misses seeing i i
i really couldn't stand how he had two catches on the first drive last week and then one catch
the rest of the game like why wouldn't they involve him more and maybe they do well i think montgomery
has a better shot to score my thought on that was that i didn't
I didn't look at this on the All-22, but it seemed like they threw to him very early, and then the Vikings adjusted, and that's when Caleb Williams started running instead of checking down.
I'm not 100% sure those were designed targets to D'Andre Swift.
I just feel like those were like, holy crap, I'm in trouble.
I've got to get the ball out.
Right.
I know that DeAndre Swift is in that area.
I'm going to throw over there.
That's exactly what it was.
But what I'm saying is they took that away, and then he adjusted by running, but I can't really say that for sure.
So I'm going to look at, I'm going to look at some of the most activated players.
These are guys that were on benches that are now in starting lineups,
and I'm going to compare them to some of the players that we're talking about.
So, Javante Williams or D'Andre Swift?
Swift.
Travis E.T.N. Definitely E.T.N., right?
Absolutely. Keon Coleman or DeAndre Swift.
Swift. Okay. Let's move on here. And then you like Montgomery better than Swift,
so you like Montgomery better than all the guys I just talked about here.
Keon Coleman or DJ Moore and Roma Dunzee.
I will take the Bears wide receivers over Keon Coleman.
I am concerned about what kind of coverage Keon Coleman will command against the Jets
and whether or not they do shadow him with Soss Gardner to try and take away one seemingly large piece of that Bill's passing game.
Do you realize all the all the alliteration you just did there, right?
What's alliteration?
Kind of coverage. Keon Coleman will command was very good.
So you said you like more better in PPR, you like Odunze better in non and half PPR, but you don't have them in your top 30.
So what's the hesitation here?
Are you just not really super hopeful for Caleb Williams?
Right.
It's lack of confidence in Caleb Williams and just his, I want to see him play calmer.
And when he does that, maybe we can start to see some developed consistency from these wide receivers.
So there was some debate on social media about whose fault it was when he missed DJ Moore wide open late in the game.
And it turns out it was DJ Morris.
He did not run the proper route.
But Caleb Williams had the highest off target rate in the NFL in week one.
He was really not good, in my opinion.
I mean, did some good things, but he struggled.
So definitely we're not starting him.
Jared Gough, where do you have him?
Jamie has him seventh.
Where do you have him?
I have him eighth.
Okay, so you like golf a lot this week.
Right.
It's just a completely different situation for him.
I don't think the pass rush is going to be on him anything like it was last week.
And I think he'll, the bears are going to end up playing a lot more man coverage too.
That's just a Dennis Allen thing.
It's what he wants to do.
And if they're going to play man to man against St. Brown and Jamo, I would imagine there's
going to be some wins for the taking there.
And you do have the usual top five ahead of Jared golf.
You also have Justin Fields and Justin Herbert ahead of golf, and then it's golf at eight.
So you talked about James and Williams a little bit earlier.
You've got him 24th and full PPR, 21st and non.
Isaac Tesla is a name to know.
We did beat the waiver wire yesterday, and his name came up.
He's 17% rostered.
He should have a bigger role.
Start Laporta?
I would start Sam Laporta.
And we're going to have to.
At this point.
What's that?
I said it's an easy call to start Sam Leporta.
And what about Loveland?
It's an easy call to sit him, right?
Easy call to stash him.
I've seen him dropped in a couple of leagues.
I feel like that that will come back to haunt you eventually.
It's just, is it going to haunt you in week two or is it going to haunt you in week 12?
That's just one of those things.
And I think it's not going to haunt you so soon because Caleb Williams and just the way that he's throwing right now makes it.
You would never start Colson Loveland anyway.
So if you need the roster spot and you want to let him go, hopefully you can get him back later.
Eventually, I'd like to think the bears will be able to figure all this out and they get Loveland more involved.
21 routes run compared to 29 for Cole Commet.
So that's still an issue.
How many targets they combined four last week?
Six.
Three?
Let's see.
Six.
Four for Commet, two for Loveland.
Yeah.
So until that changes, Loveland's got to be on the bench.
And he's got huge upside.
It's just a matter of when.
The Lions DST was terrible.
They got zero pass rush, basically, last year.
week at Green Bay, but they are a starting
DST for us this week, 11th for
Jamie, 6 for Dave, 8th for
Heath, and they're available in 40% of
leagues. All right, let's go to
Atlanta at Minnesota.
So I asked you about the quarterbacks on the tight ends
and look, we're not
ranking Pennix as a starter.
He's coming off a really good game with a rushing
touchdown, but you are
ranking McCarthy as a starter. I think he's right
around 12th for you.
He is exactly at 12th.
Who are the tough calls
in this game.
McCarthy's absolutely one of them.
In fact, every Viking, I think, is a tough call outside of Justin Jefferson.
Because I think Jordan Mason is the best running back to go with from this team,
especially if it's non-PPR or half-PPR.
Is he a slam dunk for fantasy lineups?
I mean, I think you have to be a little thin at running back in order to consider Jordan Mason.
And I think you have no choice but to start Hawkinson at this point,
but last week was just an ugly dud game.
And I do know that the Falcons, let's see,
if they're going to use Jesse Bates on T.J. Hawkinson,
that could be a tough matchup for Hawkinson to win on a regular basis.
They threw 20 passes last week.
That was a huge problem, I think, for Hawkinson,
who blocked very well, I got to say, from what I saw last week.
He had a good game, but he didn't have a good receiving game.
So that is going to be a guy
That we have a lot of questions about
Are you starting a streamer over T.J. Hawkinson
And would you start, no, not Loveland,
but who might you start over Hawkinson if you were concerned about it?
I think the closest calls are going to be Joanne Johnson and Harold Fanon.
Brenton Strange could be thrown in that mix.
Obviously, that's what you meant when you said streamers.
For now, I do have Hawkinson ranked ahead of the three of those guys.
And Henry, too.
And Hunter Henry, too.
Yep.
So you're just starting Hawkinson.
give him another shot.
I mean, I just, I feel like it's the safe play.
How many times in our lives have we seen a player do well in week one
and then come back in week two and not play great?
I think it's a lot tougher and full PPR.
It's the game of the week.
Yeah.
Sunday night, Falcons and Vikings.
That's not really the greatest game of the week.
But I forgot about the Chiefs and the Eagles.
Hey!
I had not.
nothing today. Nothing. I completely forgot about it. I know you'd never believe me when I say I
completely forgot about it. But, oh, hey, it's the game of the week. Yeah. Jamie's here. What's
up, Jamie? What's up, guys? Oh, just a horrible game of the week. I need a Jamie. Jamie's my
partner in crime. We would have come up with a clever way to talk about the Eagles Chiefs game,
but he wasn't here. So I got desperate and I went with Falcons Vikings. It's a really bad call.
I just think it could be a good game, but I'm sorry.
Do you get a mulligan here?
I don't know.
One mulligan for the year on game of the week.
I just, it's, I think it's, I think it's past, I think it's past this moment for, for this week.
Okay.
I would, I would not have picked this game.
But who knows?
We'll see.
Maybe you're right.
Jamie, any thoughts?
We're pretty much done with this game, but, so Drake London and Justin Jefferson are easy starts.
If Darnel Mooney plays, Jamie, he's 78% rostered.
If he plays, are you starting Darnel Mooney against the team that,
Gave up the most fantasy points to wide receivers last year,
but it was pretty good against, I mean,
I think that was more Caleb than them,
but good against them last week.
He'd be a low-end number three-receiver.
You know, so three receivers in a flex,
he'd be in that conversation.
Two-receiver leagues no chance.
But, you know, it's good that he's back.
Hopefully he's 100% healthy.
Here's a question from Frank in the chat.
How would you rank Devante Smith
over the receivers in this game with Goddard Hurt?
Not going to start.
You're not going to start him over Jefferson in London.
No chance.
But over Mooney and everybody else on Minnesota.
I think a better question is, how would you rank DeVante Smith over the Bears receivers from that?
Absolutely.
Regardless of Goddard?
Yeah.
When Goddard was out last year, there were eight games where Goddard was either out or he played 5% of the snaps.
Devante Smith average over 17 PPR points per game.
No, I get that, but if Goddard plays, would you start Devante Smith?
No, that changes it.
Over the Bears' receivers.
I'm not expecting that as of now.
Okay.
Look at this, Jamie.
Jamie and Adam ready for their Star Trek auditions.
I'm wearing the bad shirt with the red one today.
You're in trouble, buddy.
All right.
Is there anything else from this game?
Let's see.
What's Jamie's take with, of streaming tight ends versus T.J. Hawkinson?
because Dave is not putting the waiver-wire tie-ed ends ahead of Hawk.
I would start all of them over Hawkinson.
So we're talking about Joanne Johnson and Strange and Hunter Henry and Fanon,
all of them over Hawkinson this week.
Hawkinson, he scored a touchdown in the playoffs,
but I think it's now nine games in a row.
He didn't score a touchdown going back to last season.
So a little bit concerned just about the volume you talked about this,
that how much are they going to put on J.J. McCarthy in this matchup?
And for what it's worth, they held K.DOTN without catch last week, the Falconsid.
All right.
I've got to talk about Jordan Mason versus Aaron Jones.
Who do you guys prefer?
Jones and PPR slightly Mason in the other two formats.
Yep.
Yeah, so Jones had three catches.
Mason had one.
But if you look at the routes, Jones had, Jones did run more routes, but it wasn't like he was the only guy, right?
So Mason ran seven routes.
Jones ran 12.
Again, only 20 pass attempts.
Both running backs played six snaps on third down.
So I just don't want people to have the impression that, like, Aaron Jones is the third downback
and the only guy that's going to catch any passes for them.
He did in week one.
We'll see how that works out going forward.
Would you start Zach Charbonnet or a Vikings running back?
Charbonnet.
Charbonnet.
Yeah, no, yeah.
Let's do this question as if Darno Mooney were not playing.
Kyle Pitts or T.J. Hawkinson with Mooney, we're out.
Pitts.
Fitz.
Kyle Pitts or Harold Fannan if Mooney were out?
Fitz.
I think I'd say Pitts.
McCarthy or Lawrence, four point per passing touchdown.
Still Trevor.
McCarthy.
Okay.
Not a lot of the guys are not seeing eye to eye.
I'm very curious to see what the Vikings game plan is because it felt like, okay, it's McCarthy's first game.
and let's just kind of get through the start of this,
make him feel comfortable.
Let's wait to see Caleb make some mistakes.
Let our defense kind of control the game a little bit.
And then it was as he started,
once he had that throw to Jefferson,
he looked like a different guy.
And what does Kevin O'Connell put on his plate this week?
So there's going to be more.
It's just a matter of how much more.
Like how much more of it is going to be a little bit more free,
a little bit more open,
maybe use his legs a little bit too
after what he did at the end of the game.
So it's, you shouldn't be starting McCarthy in any one quarterback leagues.
But if he has another strong performance like what we saw at the end of the game,
like we're talking about a must-star quarterback wrestlers.
Would you start a Vikings running back or a Bears wide receiver?
Probably.
Would you start a Vikings running back or Zay Flowers?
Flowers and PPR, Mason and none.
I would take flowers.
everywhere.
Last question here
from Frank again.
Mason or Samson?
Half PPR.
Samson.
I like it better if Quinnshon Judkins
is inactive.
Okay.
But what if Judkins
ends up taking a little bit of work away
from Samson?
Are we sure that Samson's going to have
eight targets again?
I would lean Samson
if it's full or half PPR,
but I think it's kind of close.
I think if Judkins plays,
he's taking Ford's touch
That's like three touches.
Exactly.
Oh, all right.
Samson should still lead the team in touches,
but it might not be even as much as last week.
I mean, Mason just had 15 carries, you know?
And they're playing Baltimore.
All right, all right.
Let's take a break here.
Start the Vikings' DST.
We're going to take a break.
Talk Rams at Titans when we come back on FFT.
All right, we're back.
Rams are at the Titans.
Stat of the game, number one.
Evan Ingram played only 34%
why is this in this game
he is not on the
Rams or the Titans
why is why am I
why in the world
stat of the game number
one should be
Denver pressured Cam Ward
that's what it was I copied and pasted
for because Tennessee played Denver
last week but Denver
pressured Cam Ward on 51.4
percent of his dropbacks
that was really that was I think
the most in week one
the Rams were seventh in pressure rate
against Houston. Houston has a bad line, but I guess my point is, could be another game of a lot
of pressure against Cam Ward, and somehow Evan Ingram is intertwined in that as well.
Okay. How do we feel... We all make mistakes, Adam. Thank you. Thank you. How do we feel about
this game in terms of, are you excited to start anyone other than Pooka-Nakua? Excited.
I'm content to start Kyron Williams and Devante Adams to answer your question.
Yeah.
I will reluctantly start Tony Pollard unless I'm totally loaded at running back.
And I would sit here.
And I'm kind of excited about the Rams DST.
I would sit here in question why you're not more excited about Pollard.
Is it just the matchup?
Because this guy had 19 touches in week one.
No, the touches are great.
And the opportunity should be good.
I don't know if he's going to necessarily be a big factor in the passing game.
He wasn't last week.
He had what, just the one catch, I believe.
And so I would just, I think he can be okay on good volume.
He feels like the kind of type of player that's going to need a touchdown in order to come through with like anywhere close to 15 PPR points.
How about Tony Pollard versus Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones?
Better.
Right. I have higher expectations for Pollard.
It's kind of a shame. He's really gotten a lot of difficult matchups when he's been the featured guy last year and this year.
And this could be another one. I mean, the Rams had a bad run defense last year, but as I mentioned, everything got so much better for them late in the year.
And then they start the season. I mean, Nick Chubb at 13 carries for 60 yards, but they didn't really, the Texans didn't have a run game going against the Rams.
Devante Adams, as I mentioned, was shadowed by Derek Stingley.
So you guys are going to go and start him.
Tony Pollard or Calvin Ridley?
I like Ridley better.
Yeah, Ridley's still on the featured person on who to sit.
Oh, so you like Pollard better?
Yeah.
Tell me, let's talk about that, Jamie.
You don't even have him in your top 40, just outside the top 40.
Why are we sitting him?
Ridley?
Yeah.
Oh, I need to see something.
from him first. I mean, the drops were bad. You know, I think Ward's still going to be in
trouble. The secondary is very good for the Rams. So I'm not, I mean, they just shut down
Nico Collins, you know, so it's not like Ridley's somebody that I'm going to have a lot of faith
in, you know, he's in that number three receiver conversation, but if you can sit him, set him.
Kyron Williams is top 12 going to start him. Stafford, Stafford had a pretty damn good game.
21 of 29, 245 yards, and a touchdown. He only scored.
at 15.6 fantasy points,
but that's pretty damn good,
especially against Houston.
So does anybody have any interest
in streaming Stafford?
No.
I don't think you have to.
Yeah.
Two QB leagues, you could definitely start him.
He was getting the ball out fast against Houston
to trying to get that pass rush.
If that's the plan
and they continue to do that,
then I think you'll still see him
have games like what he had in week one.
That's it, right?
Start the Rams DST.
That's it for this game?
Yeah.
I'm finished with this.
game. San Francisco's
Wait, hold on. Let me see if we have any
chat comments. Okay, we do.
We do. Pollard
or Hampton?
Hampton.
Hampton.
Will Tijey Spears take carries from Pollard
when he's back?
I would hope so.
That was the plan going in.
Track correct. I suggest that he will.
Pollard or Giovante.
I'll take Giovante.
I have Pollard a little bit higher.
Ridley or Hollywood Brown
Hollywood
Yeah, I'll take Hollywood
I have this exact decision to make in one of my leagues
Pollard or Harvey half PPR
Hold on on
What do you do if Worthy ends up playing
Still Hollywood
I would go Pollard
Pollard or who
Harvey half PPR
Pollard
That's what I'm doing
Ridley or Judy
Judy
Redley
Keenan Allen
Ridley or Judy
Judy
Redley
Redley
Pollard or Swift
Swift
I'll take Swift as well
Pretty similar
Pollard or ETN
ETN
Yeah
ETN
OK
Now we'll move on
San Francisco is at New Orleans
Stat of the game
Evan Ingram
Now stat of the game
Alvin Camer
Mara's 5.6% target per route run rate
was the third lowest of his career.
What?
That's crazy.
Okay.
Is this game super easy, Jamie?
I don't think it's super easy with Mac Jones starting.
You know, there's going to be some questions on can you trust Ricky Piersall
and what happens if Joanne Jennings plays.
You're clearly starting Christian McCaffrey.
You know, I guess it's kind of like your Rams question,
like who are you confidently starting?
So it's McCaffrey.
I would still confidently start Ricky Pearson
because I think Mack Jones
at least showed me last year
and Kyle Shanahan has showed me enough
that whatever quarterback steps into the system
has a chance to play well
to whatever degree you consider well
but I think we saw last year with what Josh Dobbs did
when there was no Brock Purdy
and he's not a very good thrower
that Mack Jones can at least be competent
and Jones got the memo in Jacksonville
to just throw it to his best receiver over and over and over again
and it worked out really well
for Brian Thomas Jr.
So to me,
Pierce Hall is a very solid number two wide receiver.
I would start them over almost everybody
that we've talked about so far
in the Ridley questions.
And so in that regard, yes,
for the Saints,
you're starting Camara,
but I don't know how many people
feel great about it
after what we saw last week,
but you drafted him to be a starter,
so you're starting him.
And then I think Olave is in that number three
receiver conversation based on his targets.
And Joanne Johnson's a streaming tenant.
Yeah, this is an actually not,
an easy game there are a lot of difficult calls here if juan jennings plays where would you guys
rank him right now i have darn on mooney right i'd have them even lower i wouldn't want to
start him maybe like a a flex and three receiver ppr leagues i drop i drop spencer ratler in
our super flex league and i'm curious to see if anyone picks them up dropped them huh okay i had five
quarterbacks i really needed the roster spot i tried to trade them nobody wanted to
Make a trade.
Yeah, I heard one of your trade offers.
What was it?
Christian Kirk.
Yeah, I thought that was a fair trade.
Spencer Rattler for Christian Kirk.
I couldn't even get that.
Yeah.
All I replied was Azer.
Oh, you're the reason why he didn't accept that?
No, he just said, he asked in a group chat that I'm in,
who would you guys rather have in a Super Flex League?
Spencer Rattler or Christian Kirk.
And all I said was Azer.
That's all I said.
I didn't say yes, no, anything.
I just said Azer.
I thought it was a fair trade.
I agree.
In a Super Flex League, that's totally fine.
I have an offer standing right now in a Dynasty League,
the Super Flex League,
of a third round pick next year for Spencer Rattler,
which I'm going to accept.
You're going to take the third round pick?
Yeah.
I got to be honest with you.
I thought you were trying to get a second.
Just going to.
So I don't think I will,
and it's, you know, the gamble is he stinks this week
and he's benched, and I don't get anything for him.
Yeah, but he wasn't, he certainly did not stink last week.
No, he was fine.
The reason why I would hold out for this is this is the first quarterback injury that we have.
Yeah.
And biweeks haven't started yet.
So do I risk maybe getting more for him?
Yeah.
He might be benched by the time.
And that's the point right.
It's the gamble of what's worth every dynasty trade chart that I've checked.
The third round pick is worth more.
Okay.
All right.
So back to this game here.
Let's just get this out of the way.
You're not starting Jake Tonga, sorry you?
no tight-in premium only if you're desperate okay camera or tony by way Tucker craft in the fishbow
was just shy of 50 points the fishbow is insane the scoring is insane uh Alvin Camara or Tony
Pollard camara camara okay Alvin Camara or Ricky Pearsall Camara I'll go up here so
Pirate, Pierre.
Alvin Camara or George Pickens?
Camara.
Okay.
Chris Olave or George Pickens?
Pickens.
I'll take Pickens.
Olave, is he in your top 30?
No.
He is just outside.
Pierceol is in.
Olave is out, but just outside.
Okay.
And Pearsall is top 20 for Jamie.
He's like 20th for Jamie.
Jamie, 30th for Dave, 22nd for Heath.
That's Ricky Pearsall.
I know we're going to get a lot of Ricky Pearsall questions.
Let's see if we have any in the chat.
Give me some tight ends.
You would start Joanne Johnson over.
I would start Joanne Johnson over these guys.
Mark Andrews and T.J. Hawkinson.
Andrews, Najoku, both Brown's tight ends, actually.
Brenton Strange, Kyle Pitts, as of now, Jake Ferguson, as of now.
Dalton Kincaid.
All right, let's use the chat to help us out here.
Chris Olavay or Keon,
Holman.
Olabe.
Alabe.
Ricky Pearsall or George Pickens?
Pierce.
I'll take Pickens.
Ricky Pearsall or Devante Smith.
Smith of Goddard's out.
Especially if Goddard's out.
Mack Jones or Bo Nix.
Go with Nick.
I'll pick Bo.
I got a stat about Evan Ingram, by the way, for you.
San Francisco or the Cardinals DST?
Niners or Cardinals?
San Frans is my number one defense.
defense this week.
Ooh.
I have the Cardinals higher.
We've got Pearsall or Giovante Williams in non-P-R.
Javante.
Piercell or Javante Williams?
In non-P-R.
I'd rather have the upside of Pearsall.
How about Pearsall or Teteroa McMillan?
McMillan.
Here's a Shaheed question.
I haven't talked about him.
Shaheed or Hawkinson as a flex?
Chehid.
I agree.
Is Jennings dropable with Purdy out?
I wouldn't do that yet.
If it's a small league, you could get away with that.
Chuba Hubbard, Travis E.N. or Alvin Camara?
How do you have this choice?
I would go in that order.
Hubbard, E.N. Camara. Okay.
Yeah.
All right. So let's, Camara is a start, but he's not like a slam dunk start.
He's basically ranked kind of where he was driving.
drafted, 18-ish somewhere around.
Not on our site.
Kind of where he was ranked, pardon me.
Preseason, I mean.
Giants are at the Cowboys.
Domination of the game.
The Cowboys have won eight in a row and 15 of the last 16.
Dak Prescott lost the first two games of his career to the Giants, and he has won 13 straight
since.
He has a 102.4 passerating in his career against the Giants.
However, that doesn't necessarily mean he's been great for fantasy.
Sometimes he has.
Sometimes he has not.
It's been mixed results.
because they win so much and a lot of the times it's not enough of the time it's totally
lopsided you do get some disappointing fantasy games from dac prescott how do you guys feel
uh dave about starting back prescott i think he's okay to start there are a lot of quarterbacks
that i just like better i'm nervous about him having a huge game against the giants in part
because i don't know if the giants can keep up on the scoreboard so i would take the chance on
baker i would take the chance on trevor lawrence um definitely my homes
And I would give it a shot to J.J. McCarthy as well.
I think he's got a little more upside in his matchup.
Dack can be fine.
Last week, he was trailing.
He threw the ball a lot.
It was against a tough defense.
There's no doubt about it, but the Giants are going to get after him, too.
And he had single digit fantasy points.
So I'm a little nervous about that coming through with 23 plus, let's say.
So 20 to 22 point range, it's kind of what I projected for him last week.
And he ended up disappointing.
But that's what I'd project him for this week.
How are you feeling, Jamie?
I thought Dak played really well last week.
He just did not get to fantasy production.
And I think based on everything that's happening around the Cowboys right now,
they need some sort of statement to make themselves feel good
and make their fan base feel good.
And the best way for them to do that is for the offense to come out and put on a show.
And so, Dak, I think, has a chance to have a really big game here.
So he's a top 12 quarterback.
He's the number one guy this week.
I do think we're going to get some...
big play potential for C.D. Lamb after the drops. I think based on the Michael McFadden injury,
we're going to see Jake Ferguson have a nice game as well. And so just looking at the situation,
while Giovante Williams did have two touchdowns last week, and I do think he's worth starting
because they just allowed, what was it, 8.2 yards per carry to Jacori-Kroski Merritt and a touchdown
to him. So Williams, I think, is a good number two running back, but I don't think he's the catalyst
of this office. I think this is a DAC show and sort of a statement game for this Cowboys
offense what did daniels have passing last week against the giants uh he had i don't know 21
fantasy points oh actually i can tell you right right but he had like 68 yards rushing he had
uh jaden daniels 233 against the giants and one passing touchdown and he threw the ball
how many times 30 okay i i think that that's the floor for deck and i don't
don't know how much of a ceiling there is on top of that i guess one more touchdown and if he
has one more touchdown then that would be 21 fantasy points would have not and you guys like
givante better than tracy yes yes yes so just to get this out of the way if you want tenish
ppr fantasy points to look at wondale robinson right need a all this desperation neighbors we're
going to start wilson we're not going to start yeah javanti
I'm sure we have some Giovante questions in the crowd, but
let's see.
I have a lot of questions for this game.
Javante or Trayvion Henderson, PPR.
Javante.
I'll take Trayvion.
He's playing Miami.
Can you rank Dak Prescott, Justin Fields, and Trevor Lawrence?
Fields, Dak, Trevor.
Fields, Trevor, Dack.
Dack or McCarthy?
Dack.
McCarthy.
All right, you guys are hopeful for,
a nice game from
George Pickens, right?
Top 30 guy.
Certainly more targets.
Right around there.
He's outside the top 30th.
Right around there.
Last I saw you have him 31st.
Let's see.
31st.
31st for you, 26 for Dave,
35th for Heath.
But that doesn't mean
he's a sit necessarily.
It's a lot of good receivers.
He's aplex.
Number three receiver.
Okay.
I mean, it's just hard.
And Lamb's my number one receiver of the week.
I agree with Jamie that he could just have.
absolutely have one of those 10 catch, 120-yard, one-touchdown games.
The Giants really look a mess.
They allowed, for Pickens, you want a team that's going to give up big plays.
I don't know that they will.
They should have a better secondary than, I mean, the Giants should have a decent secondary,
but they didn't in week one.
They allowed two completions of 20 or more air yards, and they should have that 71-yard
touchdown at Tyne McLauran.
So, you know, we might be thinking about Pickens differently.
we might be thinking about DAC differently
if that pass is completed
and we had seen the Giants
give up huge fantasy production
but we didn't
and Pickens obviously only four targets
whereas Lamb had 13 targets
last week
and Jake Ferguson
where's he in the rankings
top 10
holy moly really
okay
I mean he had five catches last week
it's not like he wasn't involved
seventh for you
and 15th for Dave
and 13th for Heath
an aggressive
Jake Ferguson ranking
All right
Cowboys DST is
worth starting as well
Go back to the chat here
and see any more questions
Javante or Hampton
Hampton
Javante
Kyla or Fields
Oh that's a different game
but we'll answer it anyway
Kyler or Fields
Kyle or Fields
Tillman or Pickens
Pickens
I believe I have double-checking to make sure that I have Pickens higher.
I do.
Pickens are Ken Walker, PPR.
Pickens.
Pickens or Abuka, half-P-P-R?
I'll go, Abuka.
Abuka.
Tracy or, sorry, Tracy, Pickens, Ricky Pearsall, or Travian-Henderson, P-P-R?
I'll take Pearsall.
I have Pickens.
Ferguson or Fanon?
I'll take fireman.
All right.
Let's go to Seattle and Pittsburgh.
In week one, Seattle had the ball for 22 minutes.
They ran only 50 plays.
So, for whatever reason, Seattle always seems to run very few plays.
That's the bad with the coaching staff.
But hopefully that changes this week.
Sit Sam to Arnold.
When you look at Charbonnet versus Walker,
Dave said Charbonnet is his favorite running back in this game.
Jamie, I'll ask you that, too.
Who's your favorite running back in this game?
I like Jalen Warren a lot, so he's my favorite by significant margin.
Why do you like him so much?
I think what we saw from the Seahawks last week in struggling against Christian McCaffrey,
not a different animal, but a pass-catching running back.
I think Warren actually would not be surprised if Kenneth Gamewell has an opportunity here to be a surprise player.
So I think we'll see Warren in the passing game and makes some place.
That's interesting.
Okay, so they actually did very well against the run against Christian McCaffrey,
22 carries for 69 yards.
He had nine catches for 73 yards.
So who did we just talk about?
Like, Javante Williams, Tyrone, Tracy versus Jalen Warren.
Who do you like?
Warren over all those guys.
Dave, Javante,
Williams, Tyrone Tracy versus the running backs in this game.
Who do you like?
Javante, Warren.
Let's go.
Charbonnet, Javante, Warren, and Walker after that.
All in the like Roan number two.
running back range unless he said it on
Sunday Jalen Warren broke his streak
caught a touchdown
of his career yeah wild
anyone starting Aaron Rogers this week
uh two Keeblee leagues
super flex
JSN and DK Metcalf are easy starts
yep
what are you guys doing with Cooper Cup
probably gonna get cut if he has another bad game
like this
Yeah, you can't start with any confidence.
Yeah, no, you can't.
If you want to have hope, the hope would be, again,
they ran 50 plays, barely had the ball through 23 passes.
So if this game gets kind of fun, like the Jets Steelers game last week,
you'll get more pass attempts.
But Jackson Smith and Jigba led all wide receivers in target share last week at 59%.
There wasn't much for Cup.
I would guess this is a bounce back game for the Steelers' defense.
How do you feel about Calvin Austin and Jonu Smith?
They're stash candidates.
I mean, I think if you lost Kittle, you know, Smith was in that group of guys to pick up.
The positive was six targets and five catches and a design play at the goal line.
The negative was 15 receiving yards.
For who?
For Jono.
The negative was 15 receiving.
In my head, I'm thinking, who had negative 15?
receiving yards.
The negative for John Newsmith was that he only had 15 receiving yards.
The positive was that he had six targets and five catches and scored a touchdown.
I think for Calvin Austin, he's just somebody that in deeper leagues you'd want to see what happens.
Like, you know, we've been talking about Josh Palmer and what he could have done and, you know, just his involvement for the bills.
Like, these type of guys are not going to be started anytime soon, but they continue to be productive and have opportunities.
Then you'll be excited about them.
I hear some questions on this game.
Dobbins or Ken Walker, PPR?
I'll take Dobbins.
I have to double-check my ranking.
Sorry about that.
That's okay.
I have Walker barely ahead of Dobbins.
And where are they in the rankings?
Well past.
Dobbins is like 27th, and Walker is in the 30s.
Ken Walker or Trey Benson?
Walker.
D.K. Metcalf or Mike Evans?
Evans as of now.
What would change?
I have D.K.
higher.
Just thinking about it
There's not like an injury
That's contingent on
No, Stingley
I think he's going to shadow him
I'm yeah
I mean the more you say it
The more it makes me nervous
Yeah
I mean it's based only on one game
But it makes sense
And Seattle's shaking up their
cornerback group
And I think that'll actually benefit
DK quite a bit
Jalen Warren
Or Teteroa McMillan PPR
I go Tett
Tetero sorry
Excuse
McMillan
And this will be the last one
Is Kenneth Walker
cooked or what?
I hope not, but it did not look good
in week one based on the usage and everything
that we started to hear toward the end
of training camp.
Yeah, it'll be tough. All right, Carolina's
at Arizona. Oh, start the Steelers' DST.
Carolina's at Arizona.
Week one
overreaction stat of the game.
Kyler Murray had seven carries in
week one. This is what he is averaged
carries per game in his healthy games
the previous three seasons.
6.6, 5.5, 4.6.
So he had seven carries in week one,
and they said that that was intentional
that Kyler Murray is going to run more this year.
Remember we heard that in the preseason,
and you might expect that from Kyler,
which is good for Kyler,
not necessarily good for the other players.
He also...
That's the other reaction.
That, just assuming, based on one game,
that he's going to run more, I guess.
But they said that, though,
so I don't think it's no reaction.
All right. Seven would be kind of a lot, but...
Look, it's, okay, smile overreaction stat of the game.
He also, by the way, had the fifth lowest A-DOT in the NFL in week one and the fourth highest off-target rate.
And that is a really bad combination.
All right, for Arizona, I feel like Arizona every week is going to be start Chuba Hubbard, start Teteroa McMillan, basically, right?
I mean, sorry, for Carolina. Carolina, Dave?
Yeah, pretty much.
Chuba's a number two running back.
Millen is going to be in that number two high and number three wide receiver range.
Okay.
McMillan was very close to having a long touchdown, a half a second away, potentially.
Kyler Murray, Bryce Young got smashed as he threw the ball and didn't get the ball to McMillan.
And Kyler, you guys are very different on this.
So Dave, you talked about him earlier.
You don't love him.
You have him 13th.
Jamie, you have him sixth.
Talk about your ranking of Kyler.
I think Kyler's going to be one of the best quarterbacks this week, you know, just based on Carolina's defense and how he's now running again.
Yeah, I don't worry about this matchup at all for him.
Trevor missed some throws that would have had, I think, a different opinion maybe of him, mostly, but this defense isn't one to fear.
And I think Kyler's going to end up being one of the nicer surprise for fantasy managers all season and just an easy start for me this week.
I think the matchup is favorable for him, but I think it's also favorable for the run game.
And so I'm just not sure how much work Kyler's going to have to actually.
end up doing and Kyler missed some throws last week himself so I'm a little nervous about him but he's
one of the quarterbacks that I couldn't put into my top 12 but I would still say is a decent start
this week I'd still use them over guys like Drake May um plenty of other streamers Caleb Williams there's
no chance you're going to start him over Kyler Murray but for me he's behind j.J.
McCarthy I think there's more upside with McCarthy. I'd start Murray very easily over Patrick Mahomes
this week. Yeah, I'm not there. And Baker.
Nope, can't do that either.
Okay, I like it.
Who's the best wide receiver in this game?
Marvin.
Marvin is the best wide receiver.
Who's the best running back in this game?
Connor.
So last week, obviously, this is just something to watch.
The Jaguars wide receivers were horrible against Carolina.
Brian Thomas, one catch for 11 yards on seven targets.
Travis Hunter, six for 33 on eight targets.
And last year, J.C. Horn, the best corner for the Panthers, he missed the last two games of the season.
In those two games, Mike Evans, Jaylon McMillan and Drake London combined for something like 85 fantasy points.
Before that, before those two games, the Panthers were actually, they were like 11th best against wide receivers.
I think a lot of that was their run defense was so bad that team.
just didn't throw on them.
But I just thought that was interesting.
I'm not really, like, I'm definitely starting Marvin Harrison, Jr.
But I just thought that was interesting.
We'll see how it plays out because they did a good job against the Jaguars guys in week
one, and they really weren't bad when Horn was healthy last year.
But Harrison's coming off an encouraging game granted only six targets in that game.
Trey McBride are going to start, and the Cardinals DST.
They were horrible against, not horrible, but they were not good against the Saints.
So why should I have faith in them this week?
They're a good low-end starter.
I mean, you know, it's not like the Panthers
were good against the Jaguars either, offensively.
Yeah, they were not.
They were sloppy.
All right, let's read some questions for this one here.
What can we do to get Tray McBride a touchdown?
Frustring.
Yeah, they try.
I think they ran a screen for him inside the 10-yard line.
It just didn't get to the end zone.
Tedroo McMillan or a mecca, Abuca.
Abuka.
I believe I have Tedroa higher.
Would you trade Pacheco for Trey Benson?
I'm not there yet.
Gosh, did that just make me sad?
Chuba Hubbard or Cortland Sutton, PPR.
Ooh, a tough one.
How can you not play both?
I'll go Sutton.
Sutton or who?
Hubbard.
I'd go Sutton.
Teteroa McMillan or Jerry Judy?
McMillan.
Connor or Samson?
I didn't even really talk about Connor
because he's a clear start.
Connor over Dylan Samson.
Teteroa McMillan,
Garrett Wilson,
or a Mecca, Abuka, half PPR.
Garrett Wilson.
Teteroa or Pierceall?
Pearson.
And that will do it.
I'll take McMillan.
Oh, you're taking McMillan, okay.
That'll do it.
For fantasy football today.
Okay.
How are you guys,
you guys looking forward
to the weekend?
Looking forward to the mailback.
What time is that?
I think it's at noon,
but I have a exterminator coming,
so I might have to push it
to like 1230 if that's okay.
That's fine.
All right, we'll discuss.
We'll discuss off the air.
Today is,
this weekend is a community day
in my town.
So I'm going to try to do some stuff
for the community.
So you hired an exterminator?
That's your big.
kill all the pests of the community for everyone.
You're welcome, community.
Anyway, do something nice for the community this weekend.
Thank you to all of you for watching and listening.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Good luck in week two.
We'll talk to you at the mailbag Sunday morning for the YouTube show.
Sunday night after the main slate of games wrap up during Sunday night football.
And see you later.
Bye.
