Starting point is 00:00:00 It is opening day. We got injury updates, a DST to stream, and start and sit right now on Fantasy Football Today in 5. Well, Heath Cummings, I am anticipating a lot of Saquon Barkley questions this morning. Remember, we have a live stream, 11.30 a.m. here on YouTube, if you're watching on YouTube. And we have CBS Sports HQ from 10 a.m. until kickoff.
Starting point is 00:00:25 It's going to be awesome. Please make sure you watch that. Adam Azer and Heath Cummings, let's get started here. Saquon Barkley's going to play. Don't know how many snaps, but it doesn't seem like it's going to be very few. Seems like he's going to have a nice roll. So where did you end up ranking Saquon Barkley? Yeah, it doesn't seem like it's going to be very few.
Starting point is 00:00:41 It also doesn't seem like it's going to be all of them. So I think you can expect touches to be in the range of 10 to 16, maybe, is a good guess. I've got him at 21. There are a handful of backs drafted after him who I would start over. Okay, well, is one of them Tyson Williams? For sure. James Robinson. Mike Davis.
Starting point is 00:01:03 I was low on Clyde Edwards-Hilaire, but I'd rather start him this week. DeAndre Swift, Chris Carson. I would start all those guys over Saquon Barkley, but I would still start Barkley over Josh Jacobs, Barkley over Miles Sanders, those kind of guys. Okay, I'm sorry. I lost your connection just for a minute there. I talked over you, but I heard a lot of those names.
Starting point is 00:01:21 I was wondering about Tyson Williams. Would you start him over Saquon Barkley? Tyson, you're talking now about the two players who I have, we should all have the least amount of confidence in what we know is going to happen with them. But I would personally start Barkley over Tyson Williams in PPR. In non-PPR, I'd be happy to start Williams over Barkley. Let's talk about Williams here because he's got this amazing opportunity
Starting point is 00:01:46 to claim the job a little bit here on this Monday night game at the Raiders. So, okay, if you're not going to start him over Barkley in full PPR, what about Josh Jacobs and Miles Sanders? What about Damian Harris? What about Daryl Henderson? In full PPR, I've got a Henderson, Sanders, Edmonds, Jacobs, Williams, Harris. So that's my 22 through 27 at running back. And I just think, and maybe, I mean, it's, it's eight o'clock Sunday morning.
Starting point is 00:02:13 I could have missed something, but I still don't have a good grip on which running backs are going to be active for the Ravens on Monday night football. And it does feel like we're, yes, I think the most likely scenario is we're getting 16 plus touches for Tyson Williams and against the Raiders in this offense. That should be good. We're also talking about a 25-year-old former college backup running back who's never played in the NFL. And so I'm trying to temper those expectations since they've signed like every veteran running back who was available over the last week and a half. They sure have.
Starting point is 00:02:44 All right. Austin Eckler, where are we going to be ranking Austin Eckler? I've mostly just gone with, I'm going to start Austin Eckler. He's around 11 or 12. There's a range of guys outside of the top 10 who I think definitely have that top five upside, but there's something to worry about with them. For Eckler, it's the not very good matchup and the fact that he's dealing with a hamstring. But he's 11th for me. I'd rather start Antonio Gibson or guys like that, but mostly starting him. Okay. Real quick on the Browns wide receivers. And if you're willing to start any of them, we know. Yeah. It's weird though, because you know, you figure they have to throw in this game, but you can't trust any receivers?
Starting point is 00:03:28 I don't, especially with this Odell Beckham. We're going to see how he feels before the game. I don't know for sure that he's going to play a full complement of snaps. The Chiefs have oddly been pretty good against wide receivers. I think they were top five last year against wide receivers. Jerry Snead is turning into a very good wide receiver we know beckham was pretty much only good last year against good matchups so it's more of a wait and see thing for me i mean listen if you start three wide receivers and a flex then you might still be starting both odell beckham and
Starting point is 00:03:56 jarvis landry but i would rather start jacoby myers i'd rather start michael pitman i'd rather start elijah moore i'd rather start jamar. They are not in my top 45 wide receivers. Give me your quick thoughts on some players that I'm just seeing questions in our chat right now. So many LaVisca Chenault questions. Quick thoughts on Chenault. I like Chenault quite a bit better in full PPR than non-PPR. He is right in that Chase, Claypool, Robbie Anderson,
Starting point is 00:04:21 Jalen Waddell range for me. I think I would start Chenault over all of the rookie wide receivers. I would start him personally in full PPR over Ayuk and Judy and Marquise Brown. I'm worried a little bit in non-PPR if he doesn't score a touchdown, he's going to be a disappointment just because I don't think he'll be targeted
Starting point is 00:04:38 very far down the field. All right, rapid fire questions here. Trey Sermon or Melvin Gordon, PPR? Melvin for me. Tyson Williams, Kareem Hunt, Javante Williams, PPR? I will start Tyson Williams. Allen Robinson or Javante Smith? I'm starting Allen Robinson.
Starting point is 00:04:54 Those two are not in the same stratosphere for me this week. LaVisca Chenault or Jerry Judy? I'm going LaVisca. Marquis Calloway or Corey Davis? I'm assuming all of these are full PPR, so if they're not, ask me on Twitter. Marquis Callaway or Corey Davis? I'm assuming all of these are full PPR, so if they're not, ask me on Twitter. Marcos Callaway. Elijah Moore or Jamar Chase?
Starting point is 00:05:11 That one is so tough. I have them back-to-back, both right around wide receiver 40. I would still go with Chase. Do I drop Michael Carter for Justin Jackson? I probably wouldn't. Odell Beckham or Michael Pittman? I'd start Pittman. All right, one more here.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Chenault. So many Chenault questions. It's crazy. Chenault or Edmonds? Chenault or Edmonds. I don't know the format. I'm going to just go ahead and say that I would go with chenault okay uh one last uh one here super flex lavisca chenault or kyler murray uh kyler yeah all right uh dst to stream i'm sorry
Starting point is 00:05:54 i forgot about that one dst to stream you know you suggested the panthers i think they're the most popular streaming option they're about 48 percent rostered against the jets that game the over-under has kind of been crashing down here lately. So people are betting the under on that game for sure. I don't hate the Panthers. I was shocked, though, because I went to just check what are the roster rates for defenses. The Chargers are only rostered in 36% of leagues. The Chargers, regardless of matchup, are a top 10 defense for me.
Starting point is 00:06:20 And they're facing Ryan Fitzpatrick. So I would much rather start the Chargers than I would the Panthers. But those are two good options. All right, that's Heath Cummings. Thank you all for watching and for listening. Enjoy Football Sunday. We'll see you at 8.15 p.m. Eastern, youtube.com slash fantasyfootballtoday
Starting point is 00:06:36 for our Sunday night podcast. We'll talk to you then. Have a good one. Good luck.
