It's Thursday, it's a start of week 9.
It's a day before Halloween.
A lot of fun stuff going on.
Hopefully your fantasy lineups are having fun as well.
I know we're having a good time setting our lineups,
talking about some of our matchups for week 9.
Heath and I are playing each other in like 25 leagues this week.
So it should be a lot of fun.
Again, this is fantasy football today presented by BetMGM.
Make it legendary. I'm Jamie Eisenberg. That's Day Richard. That's Heathcom. He's going to go through our rankings for week number nine. Get those lineup set for you. Again, we've got a game on Thursday night between the Ravens and the Dolphins. And guess who's back? It's Lamar Jackson. So let's show you those quarterback rankings, one through 12 and get you the guys that you need to be in your lines. Remember, there are four teams on a buy. Two prominent quarterbacks will be off this week, at least two with Baker Mayfield and Jalen Hertz. No Justin Fields. He was playing well last week. We'll see if that continues coming off the buy. And of course, no Dylan Gabriel. Everybody's very sad that Dylan
Gabriel's not playing. So we got Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson at the top.
Heath, I know you got Justin Herbert. I believe when we discussed this morning, you got him number two.
Any concern with Lamar Jackson, though, for either of you guys, coming back after the three-game
layoff now, we know he didn't, I thought he was going to come back after the bye week, but he's facing the dolphins.
He tends to own the dolphins. I think it's Stephen Ross and Lamar Jackson.
Those are the co-owners of the Miami Dolphins.
But in any event, any concern with Lamar Jackson's week.
I don't have any. I think that he's going to be able to come back.
And I think the Ravens will be able to establish their dominance on offense against.
this team, their defense, looked a lot better against the Falcons than they should have.
It was against Kirk Cousins, and he was kind of a mess last week.
I think we'll see a reversal there.
I think you're going to see Lamar Jackson, Derek Henry, get their numbers.
Should mean good things for Zay Flowers as well.
Yeah, I think he's obviously coming back from a hamstring injury.
It's kept him out longer than we were hoping it would.
So I think the two concerns would be, does he just try to play a game as a pocket passer to make sure he doesn't reagravate that?
he's probably still okay against the dolphins although they've been much worse against the run
and then the second would be he takes off running does the hamstring hold up you're starting
lamar jackson but those are the little things that might keep you up well i guess they won't keep you up
because we're not sleeping again until the place some people might go to sleep before the game happens
we'll see but in any event we got another quarterback coming back that you see at the bottom of that list
and that's jane daniels and so when we talk about some of the toughest players to rank as we typically
do on the show heath that's the guy for you so daniels missed last week's game with a hamstring injury also
I don't think a lot of people expected them to return this quickly, but here he is.
He's back.
It's not an easy match with though against the out.
No, I think we've got like two completely different universes.
One, where you have Jaden Daniels, a guy we all had ranked at least as high as QB4 coming
into the season, and you just always start him was kind of what we thought we were drafting
with Jaden Daniels.
Two, you get a guy coming back from injury without his number one wide receiver facing one
of the best defenses in the NFL.
You don't ever start that guy.
And so 12 probably makes sense.
12 is where I have Jaden Daniels.
It's a little bit of a coward's play, but it's an elite, elite quarterback in terms of both
passing and rushing without one of his best weapons against a great defense.
There are a lot of the quarterbacks this week that have a safe floor.
It's called 18 fantasy points.
I don't know how many of them have the same type of ceiling that Jaden Daniels has.
And Heath's right, not having Terry McLaurin, that's a problem.
I think Debo Samuel hasn't looked good the past couple of weeks either.
That's a factor.
So that makes me nervous, but we know that Jane Daniels is capable of running.
I do think this is going to be a play from behind type situation.
I have bet against the Seattle defense before, and I've gotten burned by it.
I don't know if I want to do it this time, which is why, like Heath, I'm ranking him as a low-end QB1,
but he has more upside than a lot of the other quarterbacks like Darnold,
Jordan Love.
It sounds a little silly, but it's true.
The other quarterbacks have that safe floor, but I worry about their ceiling this week.
I think Daniel's ceiling is a little bit more in play.
We'll talk about Donald in a second, but Dave, for you, Kyler Murray, someone, you're a little bit
having a tough time ranking, which is surprising.
The matchup is elite, but Murray has been anything but elite over the course of the season.
He's bottom five among qualifiers in yards per attempt, A dot, bottom 10 in touchdown rate,
deep ball rate, success rate, plus this offense average five more points per game with Jacoby
Brissette than it has this season with Kyler Murray.
So I'm a little bit nervous about Murray and the Cardinals.
I'm not worried at all about the matchup.
This Cowboys defense stinks.
So Kyler's going to have to come to play.
He's a Texas kid coming back to play in Dallas.
He's played nine games in his life at AT&T Stadium.
High school, college pros, he's never lost.
So I think he's going to be motivated to do well.
It's just a matter of will he be as good?
This is going to sound silly.
Is he going to be as good as Jacoby Brissette?
Or is he going to be how he's kind of been this year,
which is okay, around 20 fantasy points most weeks.
Just going to have to wait and see.
He's actually only been over 20 fantasy points twice in five starts, which is disappointing.
And I understand why I think some people might be concerned.
The counter to that, though, is obviously the Cowboys.
Every quarterback against them, 23 or more fantasy points.
So hopefully Murray follows suit and has what would be his best game to date if he does hit that mark.
He's a quarterback start for me.
Let's talk Sam Donald, which is the toughest guy for me to rank.
And it's a guy that you want to sit this week, Keith.
I love the setup for Donald.
I mean, the commanders are terrible in terms of what they've allowed to opposing passing games this season and opposing quarterbacks.
And this has kind of been the setup for Donald, right?
Because we saw it prior to the Texan's game,
the two games that he had previously to that,
Jacksonville won, over 24 fantasy points in both of those games.
Can he do that in this game?
We know he has one of the best wide receivers.
You know, you talked about this Heath,
a quarterback losing his wide receiver.
Well, Donald's got obviously one of the best in the business
and Jackson Smith and the Jigba.
Can he get to enough production with a run game
that should have success, but it's clearly been stagnant.
So I don't mind him this week.
I think you said it best.
You know, a lot of quarterbacks have a pretty safe floor.
I would kind of put his above the 18-point threshold.
I probably put him around 20.
sure but I know Heath you're a little bit concerned about Donald
and it doesn't have anything to do with really the way he's playing football he's played
football fantastic it's just he does absolutely nothing with his legs
three rushing yards in his last three games and he often throws less than 30 passes
and it's really really hard to consistently score more than 20 fantasy points
when you're throwing that little and running not at all so I just don't know that this
is the situation where they have to do something different than what they want to do
which is hand the ball off more than they throw the bowl.
If they do that and he throws 27 passes,
what you're hoping for is he gets the second touchdown,
then he probably gets you right to 20 points.
But if he doesn't, you might get 12 or 13.
Yeah, it's very true.
I mean, he hasn't been in that number except for the Texans game
and that was one of the best defenses in football, this one not so much.
But it's interesting that you say that, though,
because we could talk about a guy that you like as a start
who may not throw a lot because of the matchup
and also doesn't run a lot, and that's Matthew Stafford.
And listen, I would start Matthew Stafford over Sam Donald as well.
But favorable situation, you know, run game could clearly be very good here.
What's the difference between Stafford and Donald in your mind?
They might win this game 35 to 7, and they just did win a game 35 to 7,
and he threw five touchdown passes.
One of the biggest changes, I mean, Stafford, for the most part,
has just been great at throwing the football his entire career.
He's still great at throwing the football.
He has Pukunakua back.
He has Devante Adams as the best number two wide receiver maybe ever.
And they completely overhauled what they do inside the five yards.
line. It's throw the ball to Devante Adams. The past three years it's been hand the ball
to Kyron Williams. Now it's throw the ball to Devonte Adams. And he has 11 targets inside
the five yard line more than Kyron Williams has rush attempts. So I think he is more likely to
have multiple touchdown passes than Sam Darnold is. And he has two elite wide receivers instead
of one. Right. It makes total sense. Potential have four touchdowns compared to Darnold who
like a great game for Darnold would be two. Yeah. No, I don't think anybody starting
Sam Darnold over it just when you were going through.
Your dislikes for Sam Donald, it didn't make some sense to make a comparison.
But some folks might have Jaden Daniels and Matthew Stafford.
I don't know how you guys feel about it, but I know that, right,
the consensus rankings do have Stafford ahead of Daniels,
which we would have never thought of back in August.
No, no, not at all.
Let's show the rankings 13 through 24 because there's a guy on there that Dave likes as a start this week,
and that's Jackson Dart.
And so we don't love Dart as in terms of a must-start quarterback this week.
But Dave, obviously, you're a little bit higher on him,
in terms of consensus, but you're a little bit higher on him
just based on what he can do in this match.
in San Francisco. What else does he have to do
to be a top 12 quarterback? I mean, look
at what he's done since he's been a starter. Five starts,
four games with at least 21 fantasy points.
The one game he didn't do it, it was 19.5
fantasy points. So he's been
good for fantasy, basically
every single game, and he's got some upside,
and you look at this Niners defense.
They've got no pass rush right now.
People are comfortable. C.J. Stroud had
almost 26 fantasy points against them
last week. They're on the road again for the second week
in a row. I think Dark could have a good game.
He's another one of these quarterbacks, safe floor,
high ceiling, I'd start them over Jaden Daniels.
I think, first off, I think 20 fantasy points makes sense.
And we've talked about how deep quarterback is this week.
20 fantasy points might be QB 14.
I think there's a very good chance that we have that many quarterbacks.
Could be QB 16.
Could be QB 16, yeah.
I've got a lot of quarterbacks projected for 20 fantasy points.
Also, it does feel like watching the Giants.
He keeps finding ways to get to 20 fantasy points.
It doesn't look very much like other NFL offenses, the way that they do it.
We're going to dump it off nine times to Camp Scataboo, and he's going to run like a bowling ball through 17 defenders.
One week he's going to run for two touchdowns.
He keeps finding different ways.
I was a little concerned last week with how long he held the ball, 3.6 seconds to get rid of the football.
And he saw his highest pressure rate of the season.
That's a problem young quarterbacks have sometimes.
He doesn't have great wide receivers who get open quick.
So I'm just a little bit worried.
Hopefully he gets rid of it quicker this week.
I do say, I will say this.
Yes, it's a little concerning all the hits that he's taking.
We love, obviously, the rushing, because it's either been a rushing touchdown or 55 yards on the ground and all those five starts.
And we might feel a little bit different about it, had that 68-yard catch counted for a touchdown that Darius Slayton with a tiki-tack pass interference call.
And now he has a field stretcher.
So we didn't see Slayton in two of the first three starts that DART made, excuse the first four starts that DART made.
Now that he's back, we have a little bit of a different offense.
Plus, no scataboo.
So he might put a little bit more on his plate.
So I think he's, to me, he's ranked consensus-wise.
I would still start day and Daniels over him, just again, looking at the ceiling play.
So, you know, what you were talking about earlier about not many quarterbacks have that ceiling.
Dart did that against the Broncos, so, you know, hard to argue because that's one of the toughest defenses that you could face.
So it's going to be interesting to see how they do with the run game potentially changing and how Dart will operate.
All right, a couple more sits that we want to get to because Heath already gave us your sit as Sam Darnel.
So Dave, I'm surprised you're sitting Jared Gough, home game against a Vikings defense.
That's not very good.
Yeah, how much passing is he going to have to do?
He had 24.8 fantasy points in week 18 last year against the Minnesota Vikings.
That was his best game against them since 2022.
And another weird thing, in three of his past four years against Minnesota,
Goff has struggled in the first matchup against Minnesota,
and then he comes back in the second matchup, and he's better there.
I think this is, listen, this Minnesota run defense mystifies me.
One week, they're great against Saquan Barclay.
The next week, they absolutely stink against Kamani Vidal.
So it's really weird how they've operated.
I think it's a good opportunity for Detroit to just pound the rock.
And I think Jemir Gibbs, he's had awesome games against them.
He's going to keep it going.
I think there's absolutely a play for Detroit.
David Montgomery, a little bit worried about Jared Gough not having to do a lot.
We've seen it a couple times this year.
Safe floor, worried about the ceiling if the Vikings can't keep up on the scoreboard.
Yeah, look, it makes some sense.
He hasn't exactly been his usual self at home.
You know, we saw that in the Cleveland game.
We saw that in the Tampa Bay game as well, where he just hasn't had that home magic just yet.
But I still just think anytime he's at home and the way this defense has looked for Minnesota,
you know, the run defense has been, past defense has been awful as well.
So it wouldn't surprise me if Jared Gough has one of those games, especially coming off a buy.
I got to go back and check.
Usually I like to see these veteran quarterbacks, what they do.
coming off a bye week, how Jared Gough could perform in this game.
For me, I'm going to sit Bo Nix.
Look, he was the start of the week last week last year.
He's got 75 fantasy points in his last two games against the Giants and the Cowboys,
and that was the Giants and the Cowboys.
Both of those were at home taking on the Texans.
They're just amazingly.
Only two quarterbacks over 20 fantasy points against them so far this season.
So very difficult to get away from Bo Nix.
But if you can do so, we've given you a bunch of quarterbacks that we like much more
than Bo Nix this week.
You see right around 20th for all of us.
So an easy guy to sit this week if you can.
All right, we're going to take a break right now.
We come back and get into the running back.
rankings tell you where Tyrone Tracy stacks up, where Kamani Vidal stacks up as well. That's next here on Fantasy Football today.
And now, now you can't do that.
And BAFTA award winner, Lenny James.
You're about to have a plague of outsiders descend on your town.
Let me tell you this.
There's got to be consequences.
Mayor of Kingstown, new season now streaming on Paramount Plus.
Welcome back to fantasy football today, presented by BetMGM.
Make it legendary.
We may have some legendary running back performances in week number nine
with some strong matchups, especially for the guys.
at the top, including tonight's game with Derek Henry taking on the Miami Dolphins.
Let's show you that list.
One through nine of the one through 12, excuse me, of the running back rankings for week number
nine.
And there you see Jonathan Taylor has just been absolutely fantastic.
Christian McCaffrey, same thing.
Jamir Gibbs, Dave thinks he's going to have a monster game.
No surprise they're taking on the Minnesota Vikings.
Any concern with Bejan Robinson, this Patriots run defense has been really good.
He's coming off such a down game against the dolphins.
Nobody's sitting him.
But in terms of like your expectations, like I go into every week when I look at my first
round pick, a guy like Bejohn Robinson, he's getting me 20 points.
and I'm not even thinking about, you know, maybe 18 on a bad day.
He was awful last week.
I lost so many games because he stunk.
Like, any concern with him in this game?
Yeah, I'd be worried about him getting to 20 PPR points.
It doesn't matter what I say right now.
You're going to start John Robinson because the upside is too great.
But Patriots' defense is legit against the run.
They've been outstanding pretty much all season long.
And really, the Falcons haven't done a good enough job of changing up their offense
from week to week to tailor to their opponent's weaknesses.
And if they did that this week,
I think we'd see a lot of targets go to Bijon Robinson.
Hopefully that's what happens.
Same question with you about James Cook,
because awesome last week.
Clearly great matchup took advantage of it.
This week, though, the Chiefs, they just suffocate running backs.
They have so far.
I don't expect them to suffocate James Cook.
I think probably we see James Cook not come off the field
as much as he has against the Chiefs in the past
because there are a lot of people sour about him coming off the field
in the playoffs last year and them losing that game.
I wouldn't be surprised if we get 20 touches for James Cook.
I'll show you the rankings 13 through 24
and some of the guys that we'll talk about now
with the toughest players to rank.
And for you, Dave, it's a guy Enrico Dowdell
who is hoping, hopefully
going to be the lead running back
by a significant margin over Chuba Hubbard.
We just haven't seen that in the last two games
since Hubbard came back.
He's got a brutal matchup against the Packers,
though. How confident are you, Enrico Dowell?
I'm not super confident, but I still have
as a top 24 running back.
And it's those two factors that I'm worried the most about.
Number one is Dave Canales being honest with us
And is he going to give them a ton of touches, or is it going to be 60% of the snaps and 40% from Chuba Hubbard?
And there's too much Chuba in our lives still.
And it hurts the upside for Rico Dattle.
And the other thing is that it's not that the Packers' run defense is dominant,
but the matchup is going to be difficult for Carolina to stay in on the ground.
He's not taking on the dolphins and the Cowboys when he had 200 rush yards.
This is going to be a much different situation for him.
And it makes me nervous to expect a big game for.
from Rico Dowell. Can he get to 80 total yards? Like, I'm a little nervous even about that.
That's a low number. He should be able to blow past that. But just the way that the Panthers
have operated over the last two weeks and the game script that I expect, man, I'm not sure
if he can get to 80 total yards. I'll tell you for me, I would rather start Kareem Hunt over him this
week. I'd rather start Woody Marks over him this week. I'd rather start Zonovan Knight over him
this week. Just because, again, the Packers run defense, three straight games, Chase Brown,
Zonovan Knight, and Jalen Warren, two of those guys, I think, comparable to Rico.
of Zonabon of a night out of there, but 9.3
PPR points or less to those three running backs
in a row. And so if Dowdle doesn't score,
and like you said, his two best games, like we keep
propping him up, deservedly so, the
Cowboys and the Dolphins. So we'll see how he does
with Chuba Hubbard on the field. At least he's been
efficient as a runner in these past two
games, and that's what's going to buy him more snaps
and more opportunities because
Chuba Hubbard's been terrible. Plus three
offensive linemen potentially down for the Panthers. That's bad.
Let's talk about Ken Walker, Heath, because
both Seattle running backs
could do well this week. We just
have not seen Ken Walker outperform
Zach Charbonnet.
Will that happen this week
against Washington?
You just really hope
that they were in their buy
and maybe someone
like showed them yards per carry
introduced them to the amount
of yards they're getting
when they give the ball to Ken Walker
versus the amount of yards they're getting
when they give the ball to Zach Charbonnet
because his usage has been sickening
over the last few weeks.
But he's facing a Washington defense
that has given up 78 PPR fantasy points
to running backs in their last three games.
There's an enormous blow-up potential
in this spot, especially if they get a lead early
and are able to run the football.
It's just we don't know how many of those carries are going to go to Walker.
That makes it really hard.
He could finish top 12 this week.
I wouldn't be that surprised.
He could finish outside of the top 30 this week.
I wouldn't be that surprised.
Feels like he hasn't scored a touchdown in forever.
He's got three games, in his last three games,
only one over 10 carries.
So to your point, you know, hopefully give him the workload.
I will say just the yards per carry,
just to defend Sharbonate for a second.
A lot of the short area work is driving down his yards per carry.
It should probably be 3.1 instead of 2.4.
That's fair.
you know, but still, he's converting touchdowns.
And that's the thing that I think you look at.
For me, I actually like Charbonnet better than Walker just because of those chances.
But I would love to see Walker come out and have a big game.
I love to see Ash and Jetty come out and have a big game.
So it's been very frustrating to watch what's happened to him over the course of the season.
And now we have Brock Bowers back.
So the receptions could be a little bit of a problem for him.
But we also may see the best of the Raiders offense because we really haven't seen that since week one.
Because Bauer's not the same player, the two games that he played prior to the year, or after the New Year's, excuse me.
And week one, we saw a little bit better, Gino Smith.
So I'm hoping after the by-week, like you said, similar to what Seattle's doing.
Let's get some easy touches for As Gently, keep involved in the passing game.
As you see, we don't have him ranked where we thought we were going to have him rank when we were drafting him.
So more of a number two running back.
Heath, you're the lower guy on him.
But we're hoping, and look, it's not a great matchup.
Jacksonville run defense has been really good against opposing running backs all season.
So Genti hopefully can deliver.
Again, you're still starting him, but maybe just with a little bit lower expectations.
Speaking of running backs to start, so Heath, we've got a new running back for the Giants.
Tyrone Tracy stepping in for Cam Scadaboo and fortunate injuries out for the rest of the season.
What can we expect from Tyrone Tracy in this matchup against the 49ers?
Well, I don't think he's going to be as efficient as Cam Scataboo,
but Cam Scadaboo has averaged 18 and a half rush attempts per game since Jackson Dart took over.
There's been an 18% target share to running back.
So I think you're getting somewhere around 15 carries for Tyrone Tracy.
I think you're getting four or five targets.
That makes you a must start running back.
You see we've all here got him ranked as a high end number two.
There is top 12 upside against the San Francisco defense that just gave up 170 yards to the Texans running backs.
They haven't been good all year and has given up four touchdowns to the position in the last four weeks.
13 or more PPR points in every game for Scataboo since week two.
So hopefully Tracy can at least do that.
If he does that, we're going to be thrilled about his production rest of the season.
So let's see what happens.
But also got to see what Devin Singletary does stepping into that second hole.
He'll get a little bit of work.
Absolutely.
You know, I keep saying this.
If you have an open roster spot deeper leagues, pick him up just to see what happens.
And he's in one injury away now from being the lead running back for the Giants.
All right, Dave, you talked about this.
You expect a big game for the Lions running attack.
David Montgomery has been very up and down this season,
but this could be one of his better games?
I think it's going to be a game where he can score,
maybe get around 11 or 12 carries,
get around 60 yards on those carries,
and that's it.
That's basically what David Montgomery does.
Maybe he breaks a long one,
but I look at this Vikings defense.
Think about the game they allowed last week to Kamani Vidal.
Think about the game they allowed to Kenneth Gainwell.
Back in Ireland, some five weeks ago,
I think there's a huge opportunity for Montgomery to score,
maybe even two touchdowns in this game.
I view them as a number two running back.
Look, it's the setup.
He finds the end zone you're happy about it.
He doesn't score.
You're not going to be involved in a passing game.
But yes, it does make sense to trust him
as at least a number two running back
with some of the teams on a buy.
You mentioned Kamani Vidal.
Excited to see what he could do against his Titans run defense.
Six running backs in a row have been 16.6 PPR points or more.
Jeffrey Simmons, most likely not going to play missed last week's game.
Jonathan Taylor crushed them.
We're seeing Vidal the last two of the last three games
over 117 rushing yards.
So the setup is there for him to be great.
He's the start of the week.
So hopefully he does deliver with a big performance.
Let's talk about some running backs to sit.
So we got Jacori Cross Camarrett for you, Dave, Tony Pollard for you, Heath.
For me, it's Alvin Camara.
So, Dave, when you look at JCM, Bill, it's been a very frustrating go since that Chargers game three weeks ago.
I'm not calling him any cutesy names until he puts up some good fantasy points.
And over the last three weeks, he's put up 12.5 PPR points.
That's not an average.
That's a combo platter from what he's done on 41 touches in those games.
You can't trust them, especially against the Seattle defense.
If you take out garbage time from them, 2.9 yards per carry to running backs on the season,
And that's number one in the NFL.
How about a 2.3% explosive run rate allowed?
That means that they're not giving up a lot of big runs.
And I think the commanders will be chasing points in this game.
Jeremy McNichols in full PPR could be a better start than Kroski Merritt.
Yep, especially without Terry McClure in there, maybe use him in the passing game.
Why don't they throw the ball to him?
I just don't understand.
To Krosky Merritt?
Yeah, it just makes sense.
I don't know how good he is at catching the ball.
We don't know either.
Let's see.
Let's see what we can do.
Well, they know.
I don't care if he's not doing anything in pass protection.
But, like, first down, you know, you don't have to worry about anybody sending extra rushers.
Give him a target or two.
Design a screen or something?
Yeah, maybe that changes the whole.
Call Cliff Kingsbury.
I would like to.
I have a question, because you have Tony Pollard is a sit.
He's dealing with his neck injury.
If he's out.
Do you like Tysay Spears or is he a sit as well?
I don't think I can like a Titans running back.
This is the worst offense in the NFL.
Cam Ward is starting to show signs of life, but he's still a rookie with very limited weapons.
they're huge underdogs once again.
If Spears was the only back,
the nice thing is that you'd probably expect him to get five targets
and not one of them get three and the other wouldn't get two.
So he would be ranked higher than Pollard is here at 26,
and now I see him the high guy on Tony Pollard.
I'm going to go move him down because I don't want to be that.
He played fewer snaps than Tijey Spears last week.
Maybe the neck injury had something to do with that.
But it's just been 12 touches per game,
basically every game, since Spears got back.
touches on the worst offense in football as a 14-point underdog is not something you want in your
fantasy lineup. It's interesting because the three guys that we have as sits, you know, Kroski
Merritt was somebody who got a lot of hype draft season. Then they have the Brian Robinson
trade and Echler gets hurt. We haven't seen anything since that Chargers game. Tony Pollard was
somebody we had some hope for just because, okay, maybe the offense is better and we don't know
that's not the case. And then Alvin Camara, somebody for me that I'm sitting this week,
that we said, okay, still be a number two running back, you know, we'll still do some good
things. Got a good start to the season, scored a touchdown in week one, has not scored a touchdown since.
been 9.5 p.pr points or less in three of his last four games.
And now he's taking on a Rams defense.
Number two in few his fantasy points allowed to posing running backs.
They have yet to allow a running back to score a touchdown on the ground.
What are we expecting from Alvin Camara for me?
It's next to nothing.
I'm surprised you haven't at 19.
So you still have some hope.
I don't feel any hope.
I think it makes sense too because we're still relatively early in the week.
It's Thursday now, so it's hard to say that.
And sports lines got him at 18.
I think if you just look at the projections and what share of the work he got,
especially the fact that they just did not use Devon Neal in the running game at all this week.
And so you assume they're going to run the ball more than they did last week,
which might mean 12 to 14 rush attempts for Camara.
I'm probably going to lower him a little bit.
I'm not sure I can get him below Kareem Hunt because I'm not actually sure
Kareem Hunt's going to get 12 to 15 carries either.
But yeah, not somebody I want to start.
No, and Kellan Moore said those infamous words this week.
We need to get Tassum Hill more involved.
And he's somebody that's been stealing goal line work from Alham Camara.
It feels like forever, but it's probably more like the last three or four seasons.
But it's annoying, and I hate it because I loved Alvin Camara.
I love the value on draft day.
And I've been starting them week after week reliably, and now I can't really do it.
And this matchup is so, so tough.
And the quarterback change on top of it, I don't know if that's going to be a good thing for anybody in New Orleans.
Tough to trust Alvin Camara, but you know you can't trust.
The wide receivers we're going to talk about.
So stay right here to Fantasy Football Day.
We're going to tell you about Travis Hunter and Brian Thomas Jr.
Can you start both of those in Week 9?

Welcome back to Fantasy Football today, presented by BedMGM.
Make it legendary.
I'm Jamie.
That's Dave.
That's Heath.
We're talking about our wide receiver rankings for week number nine.
Let's waste no time.
Let's show you the list one through 12 of the number one wide receivers.
And there's a name that we used to see on this list that we may not see.
this particular week.
And that's Nico Collins coming back from his one-game absence with a concussion.
So he's, when you look at Collins, he hasn't had the season that we hope for,
taking on a really good Broncos defense.
But there may not be Patrick Stratan, at least that's the expectation as of now.
So what do we think of Collins in this week's game?
I think you view him as a number two wide receiver.
They probably don't really concern with injury risk.
There's concern with whether they can protect the quarterback
and whether he can be upright long enough for Collins to get into his routes.
So view him as a number two, recognize he still has top 12 upside, and hope we get that so we can have more optimism moving forward.
You can show the list 13 through 24 and we'll see where Collins pops up, but I want to ask you about a guy that's on this list as well, though, Dave, and that's Justin Jefferson, because quarterback change again.
So we started the season with J.J. McCarthy.
He's actually the only quarterback to get Jefferson into the end zone, but this is not an easy matchup against Detroit.
At least that's what we thought it would be in the preseason, but not so much right now.
Is Jefferson still just a set and forget it?
or could there be some guys you might be starting over?
I think if you're loaded at wide receiver,
you might be able to get away from Justin Jefferson.
I am worried about how he'll do with J.J. McCarthy under center.
Heath talked about the pace of play
that Minnesota is expected to go with on one of our earlier programs.
And the offensive line is a huge concern.
I have the exact same concerns for the Vikings as I do for the Texans.
The pass rush of the lions coming at them,
if they've got backup tackles,
that's a bad thing for J.J. McCarthy.
I've got Jefferson as a number two wide receiver this week,
obviously as the upside to be the best receiver in fantasy football.
I understand it's difficult to sit a guy like that.
But man, I am very concerned about how this Viking's offense will operate.
At least you should expect a decent amount of passing for them
because I think they'll play from behind.
So maybe in the second half there will be more opportunities
and it'll be easier for McCarthy to operate in that situation.
Impacts Jordan Addison as well as you'll see him on the next list of 25 through 36
And a couple of guys that we're going to talk about now are both receivers for the Jacksville Jaguars.
So they're on a buy in week eight.
They come back in week nine.
We got the report during their by week that the Jaguars, at least from the beat riders,
they're trying to maybe give Travis Hunter a little bit more work.
Brian Thomas trying to work through that shoulder injury, has been in practice in a harness.
So Heath, I'll start with you with Hunter.
Dave, you can follow with Brian Thomas.
So are we looking at a guy that had over 20 targets in his last two games,
finally had that breakout game against the Rams in week seven to be that guy rest of season?
or Dave, do we get the guy that we saw coming off the buy in Jacksonville last year,
which was Brian Thomas, closed the season on a tear?
Which of the Jaguars receivers were we going to see?
And which is going to be better than the next?
You know, right now, I've got Thomas ranked at 30 and Hunter ranked at 31.
And you talk about, like, Beat Rider reports were getting out of Jacksonville,
and we've heard so much over the last six months about how Travis Hunter was going to be used.
And it's just gone all over the place.
He had 21 targets the last two weeks, and that makes you, and 100 yards,
this most recent game. That makes you want to rank him as a top 24 guy. He also had 14 targets
the first two weeks and then played 75% at corner for a couple of weeks. And so it's just,
it's so hard to trust anything in Jacksonville. I think Trevor Lawrence has actually played
better than what the statistics look like. He has the most dropped passes in the NFL. I think
the best way to view both of these receivers and Dave may think different is they are extreme
boom-bust number three wide receivers. They could be top 12 guys like Hunt.
Hunter was the last time he played, Thomas still could be as well. They could be guys you want to sit.
I wonder if that game against the Rams that you referenced, Jamie. He had 11 targets in the
second half. Remember, they were getting blown out in that game. I wonder if that was the
litmus test to see what the offense would look like and how comfortable Trevor would be
with Travis Hunter. And he looked pretty comfortable with Travis Hunter. And Heath referenced the drops
that Trevor Lawrence has dealt with. A lot of them have come from Brian Thomas Jr. And Brian Thomas
Jr. is banged up. You talked about that.
I'm like the X-Files.
I want to believe in Brian Thomas, Jr.,
but it's been half a season already.
He's had one great game.
I think they make the switch to Travis Hunter.
And in PPR leagues, I feel better about him
than I do Brian Thomas Jr. coming out of the buy.
I'm still going to start Thomas over, Hunter,
just with the hope that he's getting back to being,
because we saw some flashes prior.
Yes, he only had one great game,
but we saw some moments there.
But I think you said this earlier
that maybe both guys live up to the expectations
and we start to see the best of Trevor Lawrence.
coming off their biweek.
And this could be one of those games where if the Raiders offense does show up,
we get maybe a shootout because we've seen some holes in this Jacksonville secondary.
So Gino Smith getting Brockvauer's back.
Maybe we see some fireworks on both sides.
For me, I'm a little concerned about Debo Samuel, not so much the setup because the setup is great
without Terry McLaren, Jaden Daniel's back.
This has been when he's been at his best.
However, he is facing a very tough matchup against the Seahawks defense.
We've seen him sort of struggle through this heel injury.
So I think a number two receiver, I know Dave, you're a little bit lower on him,
but I think most people will probably still start him in two receiver leagues with the hope of Debo carrying the load
with, you know, Jane Daniels back there,
but I can certainly understand some trepidation
based on what we've seen from him in the last month.
So get back to being that type of guy.
And for what is worse, Seattle has given up some big numbers
to number one wide receiver.
So hopefully that's the case in this matchup.
Let's talk about some wide receivers to start.
So Heath, you've got an interesting name on here,
and that's Khalil Shakir.
We usually think of him more as a number three wide receiver.
You have him as a top 24 guy this way.
Yeah, he's been pretty clearly the number one wide receiver,
especially the last month for Josh Allen.
26.7% target share in the bill's last four games,
leads the team with a 21% target share on the year.
And I understand why a lot of people don't know that
because we have too many games where Josh Allen throws the ball 27 times.
They run 55 plays, and you don't really notice who the number one wide receiver is.
I do not believe this is going to be one of those games.
This should be a game where Alan lets loose, throws 35 plus times,
and we see 7, 8, maybe even 9 targets from Khalil Shakir.
He's a top 20 wide receiver for me.
He's got a higher target per route run rate versus zone coverage than man,
and I know that the Chiefs have played a lot of man coverage this year.
They typically play zone, at least recently in the matchups against Buffalo.
They play a little bit more zone.
That opens things up for Shakir.
Six catches for 80 yards in their most recent meeting going back to last year.
So we'll see if that type of production happens.
We'll be thrilled about that for Shakir, and he has scored a touchdown in two of his last three games as well.
Let's talk about the Chargers wide receivers because Keenan Allen's a start for me and Quentin Johnson's a sit for you.
So we've kind of gone through this a lot in some of our shows this week of somebody's going to get left.
out. And Keenan Allen's been left out three of the last four games. It's been unfortunate
because the targets have still been there for him. But we've seen Ironday Gadsden. We saw
at the start of this. It was still Quentin Johnson. Obviously, Ladd McCawkey's been going
lately. And this feels like a game clearly where they're going to run the ball with a lot
of success. So will there be enough volume for these guys to succeed. I'm just going to trust
that Keenan Allen will still be seven plus targets. And that's kind of been a safe number
for receivers against the Titans. Five wide receivers have had at least seven targets or more
against this defense. They've all scored 13.9 ppr points or more. So hopefully he can be in that
range. Be happy about him as a number two wide receiver. But Quentin Johnson, clearly the last
two weeks have been, he's been a disappearing act. And it's just an easy guy, I think, at this
point for you to get away. It's funny. He's been a disappearing act for fantasy managers, but for
the Chargers, they've loved what he's doing because he's taking double teams down the field
and opening things up underneath for Ladd McConkey, for Keenan Allen, for Arronday Gadsden,
even Kamani Vidal. So he's doing his role very well. I don't know if they need him this week to do
anything more than that. And could they take a couple
of deep shots? Absolutely. You look at
this Titan's defense. It's terrible. Their pass
rush is banged up. They just traded away
one of their best cornerbacks. But I don't know if he's
going to get the same type of opportunities. You talked about
seven targets for Keenan Allen. I don't think
we're going to see even four targets for
Quentin Johnson. So boom, busts for me.
I just wonder, because I think
you're right. They're happy with what he's doing.
And you want to reward a guy.
Well, why not do that in a game like
this where you're going to win by two or three scores
anyways? And they don't cover anybody. He's
going to be running. There were times last week where Quentin Johnston, you can see it on
the film, like he's throwing the other guys, never looks to this side of the field, and Quentin Johnson
doesn't have any way within 10 yards of him. It's not like he's not still getting open. And he is
the type of guy who can go score 16 fantasy points on four targets. We saw that was frustrating
at times last year, where he just goes into the 75-yard touchdown. All of a sudden, you've got your
day. So I don't, I don't want to start Quentin Johnston, but I do think if, in a three-wide receiver
league. It's not a bad guy to have in that spot. That's fair. He could put up a big number
on a small number of targets. Can win you your league for sure and we'll see if Quinn Johnson
gets the job done. But again, a lot of mouths to feed for the Charter's offense. You said it earlier
today. Just understand. Start them all. Someone will disappoint you. But at some point they're
going to have a lot of big games and we've seen it with pockets with Allen, with McConkey, with Gadsden
and Johnson. Great schedule moving forward to Steelers and the Jaguars after this week.
We're going to take a quick break when we come back and to get into the tight ends you need to
start. The tight ends you need to sit in our rankings at the position that's next year on
fantasy football today.
You know what's better than the one big thing?

Welcome to Fantasy Chargers.
Today, all we talk about is the Chargers receiving core,
and we're going to talk about one more guy now with Arande Gadsden.
We're looking at the tight ends here on fantasy football today,
presented by Bette MGM, make it legendary.
Let's show you the tight end rankings 1 through 12,
and O'Ronday Gasson will be on there.
So we just got finished talking about the wide receivers,
and maybe Quinn Johnson will have a good game,
and hopefully Keenan Allen will do well.
And obviously Ladd McCoggy is going to be great.
But the guy that's ruining the party is Arronday Gadsden.
He's been great for your fantasy rosters because he's really helping a lot at a thin position.
So here we go.
He's going to be one of the starts for Heath.
As you see him here, Heath will just get this out of the way right now.
Arande Gadsden, it's just an easy set in and forget it at this point.
Or are we looking at again, other options in the Chargers offense,
plus a really good Titans defense at defending Titans.
One of the rare things that they do well in 2025.
I think he lines up outside and goes downfield enough that I'm not as concerned
with how good the Titans have been against defending tight ends.
I also think when a tight end, we know how that position is,
has 7 for 68, 7 for 164 in a touchdown, 5 for 77 in a touchdown,
you just have to start him.
I would start him over Sam LaPorte.
I'd start him over Jake Ferguson.
We're going to talk about Kelsey and Kincaid in a minute.
I'd start him over both those guys too.
I don't know if I can get behind starting him over Jake Ferguson
because that Cowboys offense is pretty good,
but the Sharger's offense is pretty good.
And he's a reason why, I think you view him as a top 10 fantasy tight end until further notice.
It's as simple as that.
Yeah, look, again, you said it best.
It's just what he's been able to do, Justin Herbert looking for him.
It feels as if like the shift has happened from Johnston to Godston while still keeping McConkey afloat and getting out on his target.
So the one concern would be is if the run game is just as dominant as it can be, are we seeing a 25 pass attempt game for Herbert?
And then who gets really left out or who doesn't find the end?
end zone. So again, I think you still start Gadsden and hopefully he delivers.
All right. Let's talk about Don Kincaid because he's a guy for you that's tough to rank.
For me, I would like to sit him this week. He's not in my top 12. We know this matchup is tough.
He's coming off a down game. What do you like about Gaston this week?
I like that he's averaging 11 points. Well, this isn't about this week. This is just overall
about 12 ppr points per game. It's 11.7, tight end eight on a per game basis. But a lot of that
production came against Baltimore, Miami, New England. Teams that play a lot of man coverage.
I talked about it earlier. I expect the chief.
to play a lot of zone coverage.
He has struggled in this series against Kansas City.
No games with 10 PPR fantasy points against them.
One with 9.5, and then the other two games, including his most recent game, his most
recent game was 3.3 PPR points.
That's no Bueno.
I think it's easy to start Gadsden ahead of Dalton Kincaid.
Good playmaker in this offense, but not somebody who typically gets a lot of looks,
unless it's man-to-man coverage.
Let's stick with the same game in Travis Kelsey, a guy that you have a tough time
ranking this week, which I'm surprised.
I do have a tough time ranking Travis Kelsey because of what he did last week.
If it hadn't been for what he did last week, it'd be really easy to just rank him outside of the top 12.
But I think with Kelsey and with Kincaid, a lot of the problem is, who are you going to rank ahead of them besides Ronde against him?
It's not a great week for tight-in streamers, in my opinion.
There's not a lot of guys outside of the top 12 that I want to rank ahead of those guys.
Kincaid going up against the Chiefs, who have been so fantastic against tight-ins.
They're giving up 7.43 fantasy points per game to the game.
the position. You know who's been better? The bills. Giving up even less production to tight ends
this year. I think Kelsey has, what he's done well this year, he's been better after the
catch than he's been in several years. He's getting into the end zone at a higher rate. He's
going to need one of those two things because this is a bad matchup. I'd be surprised if he gets
more than six targets. All right. I think most people are obviously going to still start.
Travis Kelsey, Kincaid will be an interesting one. Kyle Pitts is somebody that I think fantasy managers
should be starting at this point. And you have him as a start. I have him as a guy that I was having a hard
time ranking, simply because we are looking at a defense that has given up a lot of fantasy
points to opposing tight ends. But what we've seen from Pitts in the last several weeks is somebody's
been missing. And so you have London missing last week, Mooney coming back from the hamstring
injury. The targets, the last two games have been fantastic. Can he keep that up? So I'm still
starting him. It's kind of similar to Rhonda Gasson. With what he's done the last couple of weeks,
you're not getting away from it, and you feel like, at least I do, they're probably chasing points
in the setup against the Patriots on the road. So I like the matchup. I like the production. I want to see
if London does return. I want to see if Mooney plays.
He's also on the injury port. Kyle Pitt's also on the injury port as well,
so he's going to be okay. But just something to monitor
there. But you obviously have a lot of optimism for him in this match.
I do because I'm worried about Drake London,
assuming that London gets healthy and he
ends up playing. He's going to see a lot of
Christian Gonzalez. We know that the Patriots are great
against the run. They've struggled against
tight ends. I think that's going to be an easy button
for this Falcon's
offense to lean on, especially
if it's Michael Pennock's under center. Yep, and they
just struggled last week. Obviously, the Patriots did.
Both Harold Fanon and David Nijoku went off against them.
So Pitts has an opportunity here, especially if the targets still remain the same, to be very successful.
I like Zach Ertz.
So we'll wrap up the starts here.
So you have Aranda Gaston, you have Kyle Pitts.
For me, it's Zach Ertz.
6.8 ppr points are less than four games this season.
Three of them came with Marcus Mariotta under center.
His best games have obviously come with Jane.
Daniels, no surprise, four or five starts with Daniels.
He's been 11.6 ppr points more.
So Daniel's going to be back.
No Terry McLaren.
That's kind of been the setup for Ertz as well.
And then the Seattle defense has been very bad against tight ends so far this season.
Seven tight ends have scored at least 10.1 ppr points against.
them five in the last five games alone.
Last time we saw them play, it was Dalton Schultz going nuts.
So this is a great set up for it.
When you were talking about some guys that you would be starting over, I kind of still
view Hertz as a streamer.
I know he's not, his roster percentage is a little too high for that, but it feels like
he's either up or down in terms of, you know, you're starting him or you're not starting
him.
So I think this week is a good week to trust Zachert.
So the starts for us would be a Ronde Gaston, Kyle Pitts, and Zach Hertz.
The sits are somewhat interesting as well.
So I kind of got through Kincaid a little bit as a guy I would like to avoid.
You want to avoid Hunter Henry this week.
Still started in 44% of CBS Sports leagues.
Get them out of there.
This Falcons defense, 8.4 if you were, half PPR points to tight ends.
Every week this season, Jesse Bates has played a role in that.
I would try and steer clear of Hunter Henry.
And for you, you're sitting T.J. Hawkinson, I do not think we get a high pass volume game
from the Vikings.
When we saw Hawkinson with McCarthy earlier in the year, that was without Jordan Addison.
He has done a nice job of giving you like eight, nine, or ten fantasy points.
I think it's more like six, seven, or eight.
this game.
Six, seven, or eight, that would be bad.
You won't avoid T.J. Hawkinson.
So we'll see which tight ends come through for you.
We'll see which tight ends hopefully give you the production that you need.
And we'll see what questions you have for us.
That's next here on Fantasy Football Day.
Quick break.
We're going to come back with all of your AskFFT.
That's next on Fantasy Football Trade.
wrapping things up here on fantasy football today presented by benmgm it's all your questions let's get right to it here we go
would you trade wandale robinson and quentin johnston for courtland sutton or keep the depth
what would you rather have the combination of wandale and uh sudden wondale and quentin johnson or
Cortland Sutton. For me at Sudden.
Yeah, me too. I love consolidating
depth this time of year. This is the perfect type of
trade to make that happen. Especially when you have eight wide
receivers. Yes. Next question.
Start one in week
9 PPR, guillotine league. J.K. Dobbins, Kenneth Walker,
Alvin Camaro. Who would you go with? I'd go with Walker.
I think he's got the most upside of the three.
I'd go with Dobbins. You want to be safe.
You know, so I think it depends on what the rest of your roster
looks like. Walker has the most upside by far.
But... The other guys have tough matchups.
They do have tough matchups, but do you want the eight PPR points, nine PPR points?
The albums may give you, or the two that Walker gave you or the nothing that Camerican give you.
So I like to play it safe and keep you can.
Depends on which need.
All right.
Next.
How then.
Would you trade Cortland Sutton for Brian Thomas Jr.?
Everybody want to get rid of Cortton, Slutton, apparently?
No, I'd rather have Sutton rest of season.
I would rather have Sutton rest of season as will.
Yep, same.
Next question.
Would you trade Ameca, Buka, and Sam Darnold for Jamir Gibbs?
Yes.
Have to.
Is this Superflex?
I don't know.
No.
It doesn't matter.
Well.
This is Jamir Gibbs, right?
There isn't some other Gibbs that we're...
Jacob?
We're missing.
I might do it for Jacob.
I would make that trade because one can be for sure.
Yeah.
All right, next question.
Would you trade J.K. Dobbins for D.K. Metcalfe.
Yes. I'd rather have Maccalf.
I think I would too.
I think I would as well.
All right.
Last question for us here.
All right.
So would you rather have Denver's backfield or New England's backfield?
So you get J.K. Dobbins and R.
RJ J.K. Dobbs and R.J. Harvey Stevenson and Trayvion Henderson. Week 12 have a lot of buys. So,
oh, it's from Pat. We always love to hear about. What's up, Pat? So which backflow would you rather
have this week and the rest of season? What is up, fellas? I'd rather have the Broncos backfield.
I'm just trying to find the, like, this doesn't rhyme at all. Is Pat? Usually he, is Pat okay?
He posts in rhyme. Yeah, I think I'd still rather have the Broncos backfield. I, man.
You say that's so sad. It is sad because I'm awfully sad.
Have you seen the Patriots backfield?
That's sad.
Just do things real quick.
One, positive for the Patriots backfield.
If Ramandre is out and we have one guy,
like that might be better than the Broncos mess.
It's cute.
You think it's going to be one guy?
The other part, the other part is,
does the Patriots add a running back?
And then maybe that backfield is better.
So you have to just decide on based on what we have right now.
So I think you just go with the Broncos backfield
and maybe hope we see what R.J. Harvey did last week.
Get a little bit more of that.
